It makes me so sad when people boil venti down to a useless drunk, and zhongli to a forgetful old man, even worse if they treat them like they don’t care about their nations. Honestly, it confuses me how the Raiden Shogun was the only one seen as a real archon, but that’s just because she was scary. It kinda creates the unfortunate implication that the only way for a character to feel like a god is it they terrorize their own people. Is it not enough to watch over them and step in when needed? Why do we demand the archons to be actively threatening?
It also upsets me when people try to pretend that furina was never the hydro archon. Like yes, she didn’t have the power and was playing as the position, but until act 5, everyone believed she truly was a god. Is that not enough? If a human plays at a god to the point where everyone considers them as one, are they a god?

How do you reconcile your religious beliefs with the fact that many Christians have such a negative and slandering view of the queer community? Can you separate yourself from that and still feel comfortable with your beliefs? Not asking in an accusatory way but in a curious one.
It's fairly easy for me- I simply don't believe that's what makes one Christian. What's written in the Bible, give or take a few words, is to love your neighbors. There are barely any references to "homosexuality" (The term doesn't quite fit what the original text has written, it's more the act of a man being in a submissive, "womanly" position during sex) in the Bible, and the most popular two are dubious at best. There's the "man shall not lie with man" one, which, looking at the original script, should have been translated as "man shall not lie with boy," like, pedophilia. And there's the other, which is in a vice list, the same list that says you can't make fabric with two different types of materials or sow fields with two different types of crop. So, dubious.
Now, the Bible isn't everything. The PEOPLE are what make a religion a religion. And, actually, a lot of catholics- with my experience- aren't ...like that. In fact, I'm bffs with the daughters of the principal at my old catholic school, and one is bi and the other is trans questioning. We're everywhere!
What I've tended to notice is the people who believe that God hates the gays are the same people who use the Bible as an excuse for shitty behavior. They're the people who will accost you for having tattoos or yell at you for not capitalizing pronouns referring to God (yk what I mean, like "God is good, we should worship Him.") They're disrespecting people, which is- guess what- exactly what God says not to do! My faith says to be kind and to love one another, and I don't think the people who are acting like that actually believe in what God says you should do.
Plenty of Christians are great people. Plenty of Christians are shitty people, too. Unfortunately, we tend to attract the shitty people, but I'm catholic because I believe in the not-shitty parts of the religion, which is actually most of it. The Bible is basically just telling people not to do war and to be nice to people! Along with oddly in-depth family lineages. But I choose to think that my community and some outspoken individuals within it don't represent the actual meaning behind the text. And the meaning is really just telling you to be kind.

okay people talk about “religious trauma”, but only recently did I find out that, as a child, one of my best friends used to wake up before anyone else in the house and panic because she was so convinced that everyone she loved had been raptured.
that she still sometimes feels irrationally afraid, almost thirty years later, and has to remind herself that surely a mass disappearance would make the news.
that this isn’t remotely uncommon.
that my boyfriend, who was raised in a very different denomination, used to have the same fears, as well as at least one of my coworkers.
people talk about religious trauma in a lot of ways, and I always associated it with purity culture, bigotry, and oppression. but these raw, granular little moments, where a 6 year-old version of my friend is gripped with terror because the house is too quiet, everyone she loves must have been taken away, and she must have been the only one that was Unworthy...it’s just so much more fucked up than I ever realized.

i think god listens to children more often than adults, but also that god only really gives children what they pray for when what they're praying for is something like a second chance

all both of my memories of catholic church are as follows:
when i was a child i used to go to it even though i never truly *believed* in God, because they gave out cookies and chocolate milk
i used to have a recurring nightmare about being chased by a skeleton around the church. this can be explained by me seeing a medical skeleton on the corner whenever i went to church for cookies and chocolate milk

I remember realizing I didn't believe in God and feeling like I was going to be in big trouble for it so vividly like I was literally in the middle of praying (which I didn't usually do but when I was at my baptist aunts house I did even when I was alone out of fear) and just feeling deep in my heart. "this is so stupid. This is pretend. This is a big game of pretend right. Church is like the adults playing house. This isn't real" like I didnt realize that people actually believed in all this stuff I thought everyone was in on it. And in that moment I realized that that wasn't the case. And then I felt scared like I was gonna die. I was like 7

Alice in wonderland: 'If you don't know where you want to go, then it doesn't matter which path you take.'
Agreed, we don't know how to live.
We're all unique snowflakes, but I think divorce & drugs & alcohol exists so we can try to calm down from all the anger & rage we feel when we can't get what we want, or the way we want to be treated or remembered.
Essentially if anger is as murder, Hell is basic entry level for everyone—so if GOD sent HIS SON to die on the cross in our place to avoid this Hell & lead us thru life by HIS HOLY SPIRIT; & HE says there is only 1-way forward & JESUS is the way/truth/life, that no one comes to the FATHER except thru JESUS. [John 14:6]
Why in the world would we ever avoid HIS easy yoke? Why wouldn't we ask HIM in to show us the way?
We clearly don't have life/truth/way to GOD, unless we accept JESUS, life/death begins forever after we're ejected from earth.
I wonder if you were to die in your sleep suddenly: Are you ready to be drop-kicked into eternity?
