Thinking about
Ren and the twins being childhood friends in Aniville Town. Ren loves taking photos and the boys love battling for her to take photos of them being badass or of them with cool trains. They help her hunt down Pokémon to photograph and fill her dex with. They’re playfully mean to one another and argue and tease but they’re best friends.
When Ren is old enough (maybe around 10 or so), she accepts an internship with Prof Mirror in the Lental Region to become a proper Pokémon photographer. When she tells the boys she’s leaving they cry very hard because they don’t want their best friend to go away! But she promises to write!!
She sends photos to them, each better than the last, some with Illumina Pokémon too. The boys write her back in return and tell her about how their teams are progressing and sending their own photos back.
When they all meet up again, maybe around high school or older, they all three have a mental spiderman pointing meme because “you’re hot now?????”
And ye

Elements the main line Pokémon games can/should take from spin offs
Just my opinion and thoughts
Written before Scarlet and Violet's announcement just didn't fix some grammar and spelling errors lol
Due to their nature as spin-offs they can be looser with the rules of the world or expand on the world while still staying true to Pokémon as outside of maybe a few all Pokémon games can arguably all fit in the same world
And most of them outside of the gameplay offer something that makes them unique
So these are just ideas from each game that can maybe go to the main line games
Pokémon Snap/New Pokémon Snap:
Tumblr media
Many of the games try to incorporate some aspect of photo taking such as HGSS with the camera guy that took a pic of you and your current party, Alola’s photo spots, etc
I think incorporating a photo mode in the next Pokémon Amie/Camp/etc. can go a long way for players
And with that, they can incorporate the social media thing they had in New Pokémon Snap into the games as well especially with the Sword and Shield trainer card maker as a basis for posts, sharing, and such
Tumblr media
The last thing is Illumina Pokémon
Tumblr media
Art:
There are aspects of them that feel like they could go more in-depth with this idea and other times it just feels like a different shiny Pokémon, I think there’s something it could be used for maybe like Totem Pokémon and can have slightly higher stats or be used in Contests/etc I think they have nice designs and offer something visually more appealing than totems and alphas while not being almost completely different like shinies
Mystery Dungeon
Tumblr media
Pokémon as the playing characters for stuff like the Poke Jobs in SwSh could work
One idea that I’m taking from Chuggaconroy
Video here 5:53 if the time stamp doesn’t work ends around 9:07
Essentially saying in Mystery Dungeon pre-evolved Pokémon are still useable the whole game as the evolution stat increase isn’t as big as in the main line games making evolving not as big of a deal as it really just matters what level you are and what moves you have
So having a way, an item, key item, etc that allows a Pokémon to have their evolved stats but keep their pre evolved appearance like Bulbasaur with the stats of Ivysaur or Venusaur. Similar to wearing a skin in video games. That way everyone kind of wins as many prefer their cuter or different stages and only evolved their Pokémon to beat the game. It sounds like such a big thing that it would be a mechanic like Mega evolution. But I think there’s someway that can make it so simple it won’t demand that much attention. As seen with another idea later
The unevolved “skin” can have some downside like Pikachu has Raichu stats except for HP for example kinda like the opposite of Dynamax making it better but not as good as just evolving regularly or like Chugga said it not being able to be used online or in competitive VS
And other things in Mystery dungeon that kind of got stuff in the main lines are based but that’s essentially the starting house or secret bases in the Hoenn games/underground in Sinnoh games having that feature be more permanent/recurring would be nice
Pokémon Unite
Tumblr media
Holowear
Tumblr media
All those costumes you’ve seen the Pokémon wear are called Holowear as explained in a comic it’s just a hologram projected on the Pokémon so it’s not in the way of movement and battling and weight, etc as it’s not there
Holowear gives the dress-up aspect of Pokémon people love as we have had examples like Cosplay Pikachu and with a lot of other examples like sunglasses Squirtle
Pokémon unite also just falls into the recurring category of having more to do with competitive Pokémon besides Pokémon trainer battles
Pokémon Go
Tumblr media
Costumes similar to Holowear as a lot of the event Pokémon had some costumes only available in Pokémon Go that were cute or at least nice to have
Tumblr media
Overworld, stuff like pokestops to get small rewards can be nice, and also stuff like confetti falling on Pokémon day is nice
Pokken Tournament
Tumblr media
Shadow Pokémon, can also fall in the Pokémon Go and Colosseum/XD, I think outside of story reasons having corrupted Pokémon to purify can give a modern Legends Arceus alpha and noble Pokémon approach with a Shadow Mewtwo/Lugia as the last boss
Tumblr media
Another shake-up of how to be competitive with Pokémon
Pokémon Café Remix
Tumblr media
Another costume one but on a lesser scale as they’re like Pokémon Go’s
Tumblr media
Cafe in the Pokémon games for Pokémon to get benefits for the Pokémon as most are just there for decoration and in SwSh can get some of the treats
Also can be a side job in some games you keep coming back to a place and it gets better/bigger the more you do it, like park avenue but on a café scale
Magikarp Jump
Tumblr media
Patterns
Tumblr media
Magikarp had so many different patterns and it makes sense as especially in the anime we see Pokémon with slight differences so stuff like that gives some more uniqueness to each Pokémon but is also limited so it won’t be a Spinda situation
Pokémon Masters Ex
Tumblr media
Another one that can fall into more ways to be competitive with Pokémon and can also be a unique redux on triple battles and costumes but on the character
Past characters appearing, characters like Red, Rosa, etc having more character and speaking, etc is great and also makes me want them to be in more games as nice appearances kinda like in Sun and Moon with Cynthia Wally Red, etc but don’t always have to relegate to postgame or super bosses as having them on the story is nice
Sync moves and Unity attacks, very much like Z moves but for everyone can be a way to not make them Alola exclusives
Pokémon Ranger
Tumblr media
Alternate ways to catch Pokemon, don’t have to be exactly like Ranger but I think getting them can be more story-driven ways that do not gift Pokemon just because plus they are optional

VIDDIE GAMES ASK!
10, 14, 20, 23
H'ah!
10. A console and/or handheld you’ve never played but would like to try Does VR/Occulus count? I know I get super motion sick with it but I want so bad to play AmogusVR.
14. A song that’s sure to hit your nostalgia buttons
youtube
Always.
20. A boss you think is really cool Out of all of them, and all the games I played, God Kefka (Dancing Mad) and the final boss of Tears of the Kingdom (no spoils for those who have yet to play it). But ALSO the Paradise Protocol from Pokémon ScarVi. That hit so many of my happiness buttons.
23. A “Wow” moment of awe It sounds very silly but when I encountered the Illumina Volcarona in New Pokémon Snap. I don't know why it hit me with so much emotion and awe but it did. Honestly, I think all of the Illumina Pokémon in that game did it to me lmfao

I want to make a proper intro post for my OC Lumi but I don't have time to draw her yet!!! I have so many projects to get done.
Some basic infos because I'm impatient:
- her full name is Illumina
- her family pressured the kids (her cousins and her) to become pokémon trainers because the fathers are
- her parents gifted her her first pokémon, a snivy (one of the eggs from another pokémon oc of mine, I love connecting them)
- she wants to be a pokemon researcher instead
- she's unable to say no because of the pressure she's under (she developed anxiety from it too)
- she tricked her parents in sending her to Uva academy with the excuse to become a pokemon trainer, she just wants to learn more about pokémon and she knew that the academy would open more doors for her.

Editing this to put it under the cut bc it is a LONG post whoops
okay so one thing to establish right out the gate is that I am even more inconsistent in Elly’s lore than dc is with their canon so this will all be subject to change the second I get dlc/a new game/really anything
But that aside!
She’s from my own fakemon region (based on Pangaea, I named it Pantoria) but her moms are from Kanto and Paldea. Her first mom’s name is Lucy and is a former Kanto and Johto champion, whereas her other mom’s name is Illumina, though during her trainer days she was known as Illumina La Serena, and she was a Kalos Champion and has also achieved the Champion rank in Paldea. So right off the bat Elly has already been raised alongside some pretty strong Pokémon and battlers.
Lucy moves to Galar temporarily for work and takes Elly with her, and then Elly befriends Hop and they take on the Gym challenge together. She picks Sobble, and names him Lulo. Then everything goes wrong but they save the day and she catches Eternatus. Her mom, who also caught a legendary at age ten, is unfazed. Largely bc Lucy caught Mewtwo, though she had since chosen to release them.
Then comes the post game, where Elly also catches Zacian. Hop decides to become a Pokémon professor and they have their little dlc adventures, and Elly catches even more legendary Pokémon in the Crown Tundra. Lucy’s sister Johanna (who is actually the mom in brilliant diamond but I chose to change that) takes her in for a bit so she can see the sinnoh region, and all of that happens. (I haven’t actually finished brilliant diamond but I have an idea of what happens). While she’s in Sinnoh Arceus decides that she’s the perfect candidate to send back in time to save the world.
So now she’s in Hisui, with no memories, and she gets a Rowlet that she names Dart. Dart does not evolve into the Decidueye Elly felt that she should have expected, but hey, she has no memories anyway, so who is she to question anything?
She fixes all the problems with the frenzied lord and lady pokemon, then survives for a bit in the wild, and clears her name, AND saves the world. And then she meets arceus, who returns her home, though she is allowed to return to Hisui when she wants (bc im a sucker for friendships and I can’t just leave them behind. Also she literally catches Dialga. The time god).
Of course, there’s no time to process this, bc it’s time for school! Summers over, kids. She goes back to Illumina in Paldea and is enrolled in Naranja Academy, where she (you guessed it) saves the world and becomes a champion rank trainer. Nowadays, with the treasure hunt over for her, she publishes an online Pokémon fact magazine with hop, hangs out with her paldean school friends, and time travels back to Hisui sometimes to show Laventon future pokedexes.
All that’s left now is for her to become a Champion in Pantoria! Unfortunately, Pantoria is absolutely massive, bc I decided since my region was fake there was no point cutting corners about it, and has a gym for Every Type. And then extra, if you thought that was too easy. And there’s new types. And there are requests, and every kind of mini activity to complete. There’s also a rough estimate of 600+ characters to befriend, if I did my maths right, based on the amount of towns and other things in the region. So currently Elly is on that adventure, on which she invited all of her friends from present-day games. What could possibly go wrong?
Also wow I didn’t think I was writing that much. Elly has lore, and then she has LORE. she’s my little guy <3

Finished the storyline for Teal Mask. Not going to talk about spoilers - aside from location mentions maybe - but I'm definitely curious to see how certain things will pan out in Indigo Disk.
Instead, I am going to ramble about random bits of the lore I've been building for Araceli and some of her Pokémon. It has been a bit of a puzzle figuring out Araceli's personality separate from the game storyline, but it has been fun as well. Getting closer to a point where I'm more comfortable translating save file events into fic/lore events.
tl;dr rambling contained below the read-more.
Araceli is Paldean born, but not Paldean raised. Between the ages of six months and fifteen years she and her parents lived abroad, first in Hoenn and then Kanto. Her father is a nature photographer while her mother is a research assistant who works for both Birch and Oak. In the summer following her fifteenth birthday she learns that both of her parents were going on research expeditions. Her father will be going to the Lental Region to help Professor Mirror's team study the Illumina phenomenon. Her mother is going to the Sevii Islands to follow up on rumors of Mythical and Legendary Pokémon there. It is ultimately decided that Araceli will be sent to stay with her maternal aunt in Cabo Poco, given the uncertain timeframes of both expeditions and potential dangers therein. She is decidedly NOT HAPPY about this but fails to come up with a convincing argument to change her parents' minds. Thus she finds herself shipped back to Paldea just a few weeks before the new term starts at Naranja Academy, where she gets dragged into the game's storyline.
Some random information about her:
She initially enrolls in the Arts track at Naranja but switches over to the Sciences track following the events in Area Zero.
She has nightmares about what happened in the Zero Lab; rather than talk about them to anyone, she uses them as fuel to further her ambition to help the Paradox Pokémon in her care. Something good has to come out of the whole ordeal (besides Arven's breakthrough).
She has trouble with test taking and in-class learning. One on one tutoring sessions with her teachers are the main things keeping her academically afloat, in addition to extra credit opportunities.
The events of the DLC will be part of her lore, but there will be a two year gap between the Zero Lab incident and her visit to Kitakami. She will be spending some time in Galar during that two year gap for a semester or two of student exchange.
Tumblr media
Chase is the first shiny Araceli sees in the wild, but is not the first one she catches. He calls the ruins above Alfornada home. It is here that he and Araceli cross paths. She stumbles across him while on a field trip and attempts to capture him. He is too high level for her and ends up chasing her off instead. She finds him again a few months later. By that point she is a much better trainer. He, however, has been worn down by territorial disputes and is in rough shape. Distrustful of her at first after she battles and captures him, her efforts to nurse him back to health make him warm up to her. Now he is part of her main team and goes where she does. Anyone who dares touch a single hair on her head will find themselves on the wrong end of a Thunder Fang if he has anything to say about it.
Tumblr media
Victory is Araceli's baby and no one can tell him otherwise. Not that there are many who would argue with a Charizard. Hatched from an egg sent to her by her mother, Araceli is the only parent he has ever known. Her work was cut out for her while raising him. He was a cute but bitey little Charmander and an overeager Charmeleon prone to unintentionally setting fires. Patience and dedication built a strong bond between trainer and Pokémon, however. By the time he evolved into a Charizard he was as well behaved as you please - so long as you are Araceli. Victory is a heavy hitting member of her main team and has helped her out of many tight spots in battle. He loves a good fight and thinks nothing of going up against the likes of Titans. He is also quite the fan of napping in sunbeams and pestering his trainer for chin and head scratches.
Tumblr media
Quake is not one of her usual battling partners but is much beloved by her nonetheless. Araceli developed great fondness and sympathy for the Great Tusk while observing him in the Asado Desert. Though he was a Titan she found him to be more or less peaceful - so long as he was left alone. Despite getting close enough to him to nearly be trampled on several times he never attacked her. Battling him to get the Herba Mystica was the most difficult Titan battle simply because she felt so bad about provoking him. She captured him primarily so no one else could, fearing what might happen to him otherwise. (It caused a fight between her and Arven at the time, as he did not agree with her actions at all, saying that the Great Tusk was too dangerous. She firmly disagreed.) In the time since capturing him Araceli has put a lot of effort into making him comfortable and safer to interact with. He frequently spends time with Dida and Padma, Araceli's shiny Donphan and Copperajah, as part of their 'herd'.
Tumblr media
Kevin is another Pokémon that Araceli rarely battles with but spends a good amount of time gentling. There is little known about Kevin's species - they aren't even mentioned much in literature beyond the name Walking Wake. They have to be some kind of Paradox Pokémon but Araceli has only ever encountered Kevin, and that was while she was in a Raid den, not Area Zero. Does this mean that more Paradox Pokémon have escaped into the wilds beyond the Great Crater? It is a troubling thought. Kevin, at least, seems to be quite fond of her, which is a bit of a problem in and of itself given just how big Kevin is. She's been putting in a lot of work to make Kevin safer to be around, but there is a long way still to go.

New Pokémon Snap accessibility review
Game title: New Pokémon Snap
Platform(s): Nintendo Switch
Languages: English, Japanese, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Korean, simplified and traditional Chinese. Voice acting is available in either English or Japanese.
Age rating: ESRB E(veryone), PEGI 3
Multiplayer: No multiplayer gameplay, but players can upload and share their photos online.
Genre/theme: Nature photography, relaxing on-rails “shooter” gameplay, Pokémon information collection, and photo editing. The long awaited sequel to Pokémon Snap for Nintendo 64, New Pokémon Snap sees your character working with Professor Mirror and his assistant Rita, striving to discover and photograph the native Pokémon species and the fabled Illumina effect in the Lental region. The history of the Lental region is gradually revealed throughout the course of the game.
Violence: None
Maturity: No nudity, sexuality, swearing, or drug and alcohol references.
Difficulty modes: None
Complexity: Easy; can be enjoyed by gamers of all ages. No worries if photo opportunities are missed, levels are intended to be played multiple times to photograph new Pokémon and to take even better photos.
Instructions, saving, story recap, menus, & waypoints: Does not come with a manual in the case. The beginning tutorial is easy to follow and explains the core functions of the game well. Additional abilities are explained before the first few research expeditions. During each expedition you can reference the controls by selecting How To Play in the pause menu. Nav-Com updates from the professor during expeditions can be set to: Often, Sometimes, or Rarely. A small notification pops up when there’s something that can be scanned nearby, and even creates an arrow pointing in the direction of the object or Pokémon of interest.
The Photodex includes a map feature that shows where in each level you photographed each Pokémon, which is super useful for preparing to get an even better photo! During the photo rating phase, the cursor automatically gravitates towards the highest scoring photo, making photo selection a breeze. Save data can be expanded to make room for more photos, a prompt pops up when there is only room for a few more photos to be saved in your album.
Subtitles: Yes; primarily relies on subtitles.
Text customization: None. Dialogue text is medium-large in a white font over a shaded background for contrast. Menu text is medium size and black on an off-white background.
Voice acting: A small amount of voice acting is present during the dialogue scenes with the professor but it’s not actually a direct reading of the subtitles, and is mostly used for brief segues and adding a small amount of excitement to the scenes. The tutorial section with Rita is fully voice acted. Voice acting can be set to English, Japanese, or can be turned off entirely.
Volume settings: Background Music, Sound Effects, and Voices can all be adjusted and set from 0–10.
Photosensitivity: As is the case with any Pokémon game, New Pokémon Snap is unfortunately rife with photosensitivity issues. The prompt to press A to advance to the next line of dialogue flashes from red to yellow when the button is pressed. There is a bright light-to-dark screen wipe when selecting an expedition level.
The automated buggy that your character rides in uses teleportation to enter and exit out of a level and there’s a bit of a bright blue and white light show when this happens, though it can be skipped by pressing the + button. The buggy dome cover shimmers light blue in sectioned quadrants, but this is only visible when entering and exiting a level. Using the scan ability during a level results in a small bright flash when selecting a subject to get more information on.
When showing photos to the professor to be rated, there is a brief bright screen wipe when you click on a Pokémon’s photo folder. New photos have a bright wipe effect and have white and yellow sparkle flashes that appear continuously until you continue past this screen. When receiving a star rating on your photo the star appears with a small bright flash. There are also dim flashes of small diamond shapes that appear in the background of the scoring screen, these aren’t bright enough to be an issue but can be slightly disorienting. The progress towards leveling up screen flickers as it appears and leveling up results in a bright screen wipe.
These can be remedied a bit by playing in a well-lit room and adjusting screen brightness (TV & handheld), backlight (TV), contrast (TV), and color settings (TV). Additionally, wearing blue light lens glasses, tinted lens glasses, or even sunglasses may be helpful.
Motion-sickness and camera: The initial settings menu that pops up when starting the game has a screen wipe effect that isn’t particularly bright, but is somewhat disorienting. During the tutorial a moving arrow is used to point out several things on screen, and this quick animation caused me a little bit of disorientation. Closing the photo rating screen wipes the screen quickly into a diamond shape in the center of the screen and this is also a little jarring.
The buggy moves at a very slow steady speed but may cause motion-sickness for some gamers. Camera speed and pointer speed can be adjusted and set from 1–10. Left and right thumbstick pitches can be inverted. Zoom mode can be set to Hold or Toggle. Frame Guide can be set to: Full, Normal, or Simple. There is a noticeable drop in framerate when aiming is set to motion controls, resulting in significantly less smooth camera swiveling. Motion-sickness can definitely be an issue when motion controls are set to a high level, I recommend keeping them below 6 to minimize this.
Additionally, the flapping of Vivillion’s wings is a very quick movement animation and can be a little hard on the eyes.
Colorblindness mode: None; color settings can only be adjusted in your TV settings menu.
Controller rumble: Yes; can also be turned off.
Remappable controls: Yes; there are 4 different control schemes to choose from.
Quick-time events: None
Physical impact: Very light, can be played for extended periods of time without pain or fatigue.
Adaptability and input: Controls are simple, well spaced out, and can be switched between the 4 different control schemes. Can be played one-handed, which may be easier using the Joycon controllers. The majority of the controls are thumb input, so gamers with thumb or thumb joint struggles may have to set the controller on their lap and play using their fingers but this is definitely doable.
Motion controls can be used to aim instead of the the right thumbstick, and motion control sensitivity can be set from 1–10 (default is 5). Motion control and thumbstick camera control can even be combined, as the thumbstick overrides motion controls when motion control is turned on.
Can be played with Switch Joycon controllers, controller-docked Joycon controllers, handheld-docked Joycon controllers, Switch Pro controller, Gamecube controller, Sony Dualshock 4 controller (adapter required to use on Switch), Xbox One Bluetooth Controller (adapter required), Wii U Pro Controller (adapter required). Menus can be navigated using the touchscreen. No voice control functionality.
To read more about how you can pair different controllers with the Switch, check out my recent post on the topic: https://medium.com/@AbleGaming/how-to-use-your-favorite-console-controllers-on-nintendo-switch-and-pc-and-how-to-use-your-switch-64d7a7bc7b7f
Overall accessibility score: 3.8/5.0 (Please note that this score does not reflect the entertainment or enjoyment value of the game, it represents the range of accessibility for gamers who have specific limitations.)
Eschewing the series’ typical focus on battling for nature appreciation and photo editing, New Pokémon Snap is a relaxing and peaceful gaming experience for gamers of all ages. Controls are light and easy, causing little-to-no pain or fatigue, and can be somewhat customized. Partial voice acting is a welcome addition in a Pokémon title, though I do have to wonder when we’ll finally get a fully voice acted game. The lack of any text settings is disappointing (though unsurprising given the series’ history), but the text is a reasonable size and is fairly clear to read.
Unfortunately there are several instances of photosensitivity and motion-sickness issues, and these may be too much for gamers with medium-high light or motion sensitivity. The photo rating section has far too many screen wipes and flash effects, I found I had to look away from the screen for some of it, even with my TV’s brightness and contrast levels set to a low level. Though improving in a lot of accessibility aspects, almost every Pokémon game has a similar lack of concern for photosensitive gamers; I would sincerely love to see some improvements made in this regard in future releases.
My review can also be read and listened to (text-to-speech) on my Medium page at: https://medium.com/@AbleGaming/new-pok%C3%A9mon-snap-accessibility-review-e445b2986238

“Zeraora is a bipedal, feline Pokémon with primarily yellow and black fur. The fur is thinner and black on its lower legs, lower body, upper arms, and face, and is thicker and yellow everywhere else. There is also a zigzagging black stripe on each thigh and two more stripes on each forearm. There are small tufts of light blue fur on its chest and a longer tuft on its forehead. Zeraora also has a single, lightning bolt-shaped blue whisker on each cheek. A long, ponytail-like or tail-like bunch of fur extends from between its shoulders. Zeraora has large ears with black insides and blue eyes. Its forepaws have four clawed fingers and light blue pads, while its hindpaws have only three clawed toes.
Zeraora lacks an electricity-generating organ, so it gathers and stores electricity from outside sources. This Pokémon can create a very powerful magnetic field through the strong electric currents emitted from its paw pads. Using this magnetic field allows it to levitate and move at high speeds while airborne. Zeraora can travel as fast as a lightning strike. Its fur is known to stand on end whenever it is using massive amounts of electricity.[1] Zeraora can tear its opponents apart with its high-voltage claws. Even if the opponent dodges, they can still get electrocuted by the flying sparks. Lighting flashes and thunderclaps can occur when Zeraora starts running.
Zeraora is the only known Pokémon capable of learning the move Plasma Fists.”
Tumblr media
This is the Pokemon you encountered in that alternate dimension Alola, right Ash? I’ll admit even my information about it is pretty obscure. There’s not much about its permeability, I mean... I might have a lead for Professor Cerise to explore. One has been sighted on Balusylva Island in the Lental Region. In the Bad Barrens. At least that is what the info says. Do you have a Lental Region in your dimension, seems like Todd Snap has been there to help a Professor “Mirror.” It has special glowing Pokémon called Illumina Pokemon. Can’t find much about them.
As for Goh. Have you heard the legends of the “King of Bountiful Harvests” that once ruled the Crown Tundra? It’s a Pokemon that has not been seen much of in the past century or so. There is some debate about whether it rode a horse of ice or a horse of spirits. The King was rumored to be able to predict the future at its full power. And speak our language.
Also there’s apparently a Galarian form of the Legendary Birds. A fighting-type Zapdos that runs, a psychic-type floating Articuno, and a dark-type flaming Moltres. I... believe they are actually real, but just subspecies of the birds.
Ash: So that's what Todd's been up to, eh? I wonder how come the Professor hasn't asked us to go there yet
Maybe this Lental region doesn't exist here... that'd be disappointing. I do really love shiny things! ☺️
Goh: Sonia's told me some of these legends... it seems like Galarians don't pay a lot of attention to their old stories if they keep mixing up details like that
I couldn't catch Zapdos last time, it was too bad... maybe this other Zapdos will be easier. Even if I've never really tried catching a "speedy" pokémon before

Do you have any thoughts and comments on the announcement of Pokémon Legends Z-A?
Sure do!
I think its funny they took a chance and went with it lmao. Gen 6 was 100% only chosen to make that Z-A end-and-beginning of alphabet thing happen.
I‘ve seen some people talk about it playing during the french industrial revolution? But it gives more futuristic vibes to me tbh, the way it was shown with those blue glowy lines and the music. Plus, the ZA thingy…guessing it stems from the English page saying "urban redevelopment plan“, but German calls it something more along the lines of "city renovation“ instead. Could be Illumina City in the future being broken down and you helping to get it on its feet again. Zygarde has connections to revival, so that would fit too. Though the blue lines could also just be for blueprints, so it could still play in the past, idk.
That being said, very cool to see Kalos again! Those games were done dirty, not just by fans but the devs too. There‘s…a lot of undeveloped things in that Gen, not to mention how much it relies on going on power trips and blatant catering to Gen 1 stans after 5 was ripped to shreds by them for trying new things out. So, very cool that place is finally getting some more exploration.
Also, Gamefreak actually revisiting a gimmick for once instead of tossing it to the wind despite being really popular? WOAH :O (Ngl, didnt quite like Mega-Evolutions from a gameplay perspective cuz it basically limited your team to the few that can do them, but seeing new designs is always cool. I hope Firefox gets a big hat. Messed up the actual starters never got ME‘s but the Gen1‘s did.)
Also I hope the poodle gets to be feral; evolving like this cuz of mass abandonment of the city or smth.
AND I JUST REMEMBERED AZ WAS A GUY THAT EXISTS. Would be VERY wild to see him again.
I also wonder how Zygarde plays into all of that. Arceus was like "Hi its me, God. Here‘s a phone, now go fill a book“. Doesnt seem like Arceus is gonna be very involved here though. Does Zygarde have god powers? Perhaps the time travel is artificial this time? …are we gonna play a dead person that was revived by the giant crystal laser??
…They‘re also now legally required to put the other Gen 5 train twin into the French sci fi game after yeeting his bro into the wilderness of historical Japan. Prime chance to put the balance of these two back in place while simultaneously teasing for Gen 5. There was a statue of (I think Kyurem?) in Gen 6 that was like "yea Kalos and Unova are super best buddies“, so it could add to that.
Would be hella funny if they baited him and then put someone else there instead lmao
…as exiting as it is in theory though, still not gonna buy it. That game will NOT come out finished in the slightest, and it WILL be full price. Pokemon games just arent worth their price in any capacity, sadly. Seriously, 1.5 years is an insane average time for games the size of Pokemon to come out. Let alone the crunch the devs have to go through and already did these past few years. And the date of 2025 is giving "we’re either fishing for last buyers before the new console or gonna delay the game and then cross-release it on release“. Oof.

Does red has any pictures of legendary or mythical Pokemon? if she does which one? if she doesn't which ones she wish to have take pictures of? what is the kind of photo is harder for Ren to take? since I know many enjoy portrait other enjoy more like close ups, action etc etc.
she has pictures of illumina pokémon, which were rare and kinda legendary in the Lental region! but otherwise, no. she's not run into many legendaries.
she'd love to take photos of any of them, tho! it'd be great aid to pokedexes!
action shots are always more difficult, but they're her favorite. the thrill of a one-in-a-million shot gets her really giddy

A box of all the shinies I got in my Violet playthrough, placed in order of capture. I love all these guys. Special shout out to Illumina the Espathra who is my go to Pokémon for raid dens. I didn't expect to love her as much as I do.
Note: Haxorus is from my Black 2 playthrough who I transfered over her and Lucario is from Mystery Gift. Which again you can get by entering the code SH1NYBUDDY.
