Listen so we know that Sebastian didn't have many human skills like cooking etc at the start of the contract right? so maybe at the very beginning, when he first meets Nina, she teaches him the very basics of sewing, just in case he needs them..

Just imagining like,,, a few days after Ciel returns from the cult with Sebastian, Angelina contacts Nina and asks her to go and check on Ciel, make him some clothes etc bc obvs the mansion burned down with everything inside of it.

She takes all Ciel's measurements, (notices all the scratches and the brand and everything else), and then says she'll stay for a day or two to throw together a few outfits and essentials for him. So Ciel goes to take a nap and she sits down and starts working on his clothes, some shorts, some socks, a nightshirt and a few coats, just enough to last him until she can get him a proper wardrobe. She drags Sebastian along with her thinking 'well hes a butler, he has to have SOME kind of sewing knowledge, he could at least cut some cloth pieces out' but NOPE hes completely useless.

So she sits him down and starts showing him some basic stitches, just in case something happens and he needs to fix something, while asking him about everything that's happened.

ngl, the more I think about it, the more I feel conflicted over how people sexualize my characters.

On the one hand, it would be silly to deny that I don't go out of my way to create aesthetically pleasing/attractive characters because I love to draw what I enjoy, and I love it when people simp for them.

But on the other hand, sometimes it does bother me that people are so fixated on sex and their own arousal that they miss important lore/plot information that I get a bit frustrated

#txt #i dont really mind that people missed the fact that powers had horns but i do have issues with people thinking the scene would lead up to #sex??? lili had a very clearly shocked face but people were expecting them to just. have sex and fall in love #twitter and instagram is pretty respectful to my works but i think webtoons and especially tiktok (good lord tiktok) is where people are #just. like they're not even paying attention because they wanna fuck my ocs lol #its a lot of work to try to give these incredibly short comics decent pacing and dialogue and it sucks when people ignore gestures or #verbal communication because they saw powers muscled chest and went 'oh yeah. its sex time'#i started posting my bugtopia comics to tiktok and these people are so goddamn obsessed with sexualizing everything that i read comments #where people were expecting arachne to peg her FOUR YEAR OLD SON #and its like. hey guys. im glad you enjoy my work but i dont like how you cannot perceive my characters as anything #but something to whack off to #anyways i dont see myself discussing this on twitter because unfortunately people have 0 fucking reading comprehension lol #to this day i get rude messages accusing me of hating people who enjoy lesbian media or finding my characters hot #because i asked people to not call me a fucking f*ggot when i draw to men kissing

Tom & B'Elanna give off closeted gay vibes in that I think if you asked them to describe their ideal woman and man they would respectively describe a swimsuit model (bonus: who's Not Like Other Girls) and the lead in some sort of romantic novel. Nothing even close to a real person. The most generic you can get about straight romantic and sexual attraction.

#B'Elanna would say that OR she'd just name some incredibly basic things that make you sad when you hear them #I can 1000% see a canon scene where B'Elanna is upset about random ensign guy not meeting her standards for a date #and everyone's of course of course of course like 'well YOUR standards aaare a little high B'Elanna' ha ha ha and B'Elanna's like #(she's upset but trying to work to take her mind off it) 'Is it SO hard to find a guy who-' then proceeds to list off basic things #the writers think women want and it's all soft romantic things and Tom's like (bc this is ostensibly a romance scene between them)#'B'Elanna are you serious?' (What???) 'If you went out with a guy like that you'd eat him alive. You need a guy who can keep up with #your-' (I swear to God if you say my temper.) '-Passion.' <- his hands are held defensively in the air and his tone is sarcastic. Wait ok I'm not knowledgeable on anything Wilson family. Slade drugs Rose???

yeah <///3 before tt03 they had met like once ever (and it went poorly) so to get rose on his side slade injected her with a super soldier serum

in #0.5 he kidnaps her after buying a hit on her (many such cases) and goes "cmon rose we can be a family lets be a family <3333" and she agrees (because shes angry and slade is the one handing her a weapon to kill the man that killed her mother)

then theyre on the same side for a while! the first time we hear about the serum (and iirc only time its specifically mentioned while shes being drugged) is in #12 (BART 🥺)

we also see some flashbacks in fresh hell of slade giving her the serum too

anyways then she joins the team and everything is alright (lie). this is the first confirmation that she was being drugged, plus also showing that shes staying on the team just bc shes afraid slade will get her again :(

in any story that takes place from 2003-2006 that includes rose & slade (bg #63-64, nightwing #112-115, etc), rose is being drugged :(

basically the writers needed an explanation for why she would choose to work with slade and wanted an excuse for why she would be able to join the titans later on and honestly? rare johns banger. this plotline fucks to me. completely defines rose's relationship with slade and gives her a concrete reason to hate him but also have very complicated feelings about her place in his life ouuughhhh

but in conclusion slade sucks so heres some panels of rose beating him up

#i hadn't really thought about it before making this post but its kinda surprising how little the serum gets brought up #i think because its one of the worst things slade has ever done so ppl ignore it to say 'slade is so misunderstood 🥺'#but like. it probably gets brought up less than 5 times in all of tt03 (INCLUDING fresh hell)#and its pretty much never brought up outside of tt03 #even when a book mentions her stabbing her eye out they rarely bring up the fact that she was being drugged when it happened #i dont even think batgirl 2008 said anything about her being drugged?#obv they say that it happened to cass but i dont think it says anything about rose too #and then ofc it hasnt been canon since the new 52. scott lobdell start running #(<- probably not actually his fault but im still blaming him)

#poorly drawn mdzs #mdzs #a-qing #xue yang #xiao xingchen #Xue yang is cold because cold blooded creatures can't generate their own body heat #I am skipping over drawing the stories they tell due to the fact this arc is already really dragging #but I think they are very key in understanding the yi-city characters #Even if they are stories that really bring down the slumber party vibes A-Qing was hoping for.#I mentioned some of my thoughts in the tags of no. 76 but to continue on a bit more #I think xxc and xue yangs stories inversely mirror each other on the meaning of sacrifice and what it means to 'deserve' something #to xue yang he has only ever sacrificed - therefore he is in his right to 'deserve' what he wants. And he wants everything.#xxc leaves song lan thinking its the best course of action to atone but my god. No it wasn't. Poor communication crown actually goes to xxc #but it's what xxc he feels he deserves - continued sacrifice to atone. He wants to want nothing.#both are very stuck in the past in ways that are not actually accounting for their actions #It's easy to look at xue yang and go 'dang you need to get over your childhood trauma'#but that very much ignores that fact that we - real human beings - define so much by our childhood pains.#Growth is having to come to terms with it and trying to move past it...and not everyone is ready for that.#I have a lot of thoughts on that matter but I'll let it be for now.#Anyways. Amiguito appears to be one of those words whos meaning change depending on speaker and contextual factors #So as far as I can tell it slides around on the scale on romantic and platonic. i realize this is something of an obvious sentiment to express in a certain light but the more times one rewatches the show the more it becomes glaringly clear that there are very few individuals who actually ever express a philosophical commitment to flint's war to overthrow england. charles does. billy does, although he has his own motivations as well. madi does. jack and anne don't though! not ever! blackbeard doesn't! max, certainly not. and silver? even before he decides to betray flint he never ever says anything even a little bit committed to any sort of animosity towards england. you hit that 3x10 battle and you realize just how few people are actually in it for the same reasons as flint. and you realize that just like flint, just like the crew, just like madi, john silver has also fooled YOU into believing that everyone is on the same page.

#black sails #you just sort of assume! you just sort of go along because everything seems to finally be going the way you want it to #3x10 in a certain light is the narrative high point of the show! but only if you ignore the numerous enormous cracks in unity #john silver stands with flint. john silver is worried! he doesn't want to hurt his partner! john silver wouldn't betray for money anymore!#and yet we still don't know what john silver really feels about any of this. in fact #even at the end #we NEVER know.#i think its also quite powerful that JACK does not actually care about overthrowing england in the same way as flint either #jack tells flint at the beginning that he plans to leave with his treasure at the end #it makes his actions in s4 that much more delicious #and as max says at the very beginning: you realize that the foundations of this revolution are built on sand
