ive been hesitating to ask this bc youve been on a roll with the clone^2au (which i am frothing over) but could i poke you for some childhood friend au? bc GOD i wanna see how danny reacts to reuniting w jason or how the rest of the batfam react to learning jason never told danny of his resurrection or wondering if dannys gonna put jokers dead body on a display/offering to jasons grave. i havent been normal about this since i first read it and was wondering. thank you for your writing.

(which is my fault - the ao3 fic of them has literally only crane wives lyrics for each chapter title and summary (posted AND the ones not written) so of course im gonna associate with them.)
(if you wanna listen to some of their songs while thinking of cfau here are my recommendations: "Once & for All", "Here I Am", "Hollow Moon" is a Danny AND Jason song to me, this would be my go-to song for an animatic of CFAU if i had the skills for it. "Tongues and Teeth", "Curses" and "take me to war" is a heavy cfau danny song to me, and of course, "the moon will sing")
Like they're BEST friends dude, they're two sides of the same coin and when they were kids they would do this thing where their 'fingers crossed'/'double-crossed' was them hooking their index fingers in the fingers crossed gesture.
and i'm actually currently rewriting my original post into a more fic-like format, and when I'm done I'll post it on here under the cfau tag - with the original post still in tact. But its,,, gonna be so long dude,,,, the original behemoth was just over 9000 words,,, and I've written 3k words already of the new one and we haven't even reached Jason and Danny reuniting at the gala yet,,, i need to get back to that,,,
and then to answer your questions!! god im almost hesitant to answer because i dont wanna spoil the little fic i had planned for it but also like,, its not like im gonna spoil everything, right? and answering the questions isnt the same as writing the scene down so!!
i love danny and jason's reuniting, like i've thought about it SO much and I've thought about it happening after Danny kills the Joker. I know the reveal could have been before that, and it could have been equally just as dramatic but like??? Thematically, doing it after danny kills the joker is SO good. To me at least.
Because like?? Jason's been in somewhat denial about danny's plan to kill the joker for months. ever since danny told him that he wanted to at the gala. And from Jason's pov its not even technically a plan. He sees his best friend for the first time after five years and his best friend still isn't over his death. He hasn't stepped foot in Gotham since his funeral and now suddenly he's here.
And he's still so full of grief over his death that he tells a masked vigilante that he's going to kill the guy that did it, who lives in said masked vigilante's city. And danny's got that look in his eyes that Jason knows so well that means he's being serious. And yet he still doesn't know if he should believe him or not.
And then he does. Danny kills him. And Jason can't fucking believe it. And when he goes and sees Danny, Danny's hands are still covered in blood. And that reunion? God like a fucking firework show. Danny's so fucking angry, and pissed, and hurt, and so goddamn overjoyed that he's alive and here that he sends them both to the ground, and if he doesn't calm down he's gonna take out the power in a five block radius.
there's just so, so much yelling on Danny's end. And then so much crying, first from Danny and then them both. because god, you're alive. you're here. i've missed you so much. i'm never letting you out of my sights again.
and Joker's death! God I don't want to actually say too much about that, but the way I have it set up thematically makes me actually not want danny to take any part of the joker with him as an offering. and he may actually forego that particular ghost etiquette and offer something else as an offering to Jason in substitute to not bringing him the Joker's heart/head/ritualistic body part.
Because you know what the last thing a man whose been spending the last two decades of his life building himself up to be larger than life would want? A death that's unremarkable. :) and that's all i'll put on the matter for now.
and the batfam!! they technically already know that jason hasn't told danny he was resurrected, and plenty of them have mixed feelings on them. largely bruce and dick i think, considering they saw firsthand how close jason and danny were when they were kids.
Dick was honestly surprised at first when he found out that Jason hadn't told Danny he was alive - and on one hand he understands the reasoning for it, and on the other hand he isn't sure if it was such a good idea. Especially after he sees Danny again after he arrives back in Gotham and sees just how badly Jason's death was still affecting him. But it's not like he's going to try and convince Jason to tell him - he can make his own choices, even if Dick has questions about them.
Bruce has much the same thoughts as Dick, so there's not really much to add here other than he might bring it up once or twice to Jason like, vaguely. And then immediately drops it when Jason shuts him down. He might actually somewhat...?? prefer that Jason hasn't told Danny because that raises a lot of questions and could jeopardize their identities. However, again, Jason can make his own choices and there's not much Bruce can do about it other than disapprove from afar.
Tim who knew of Danny from stalking the Wayne family shares similars sentiments of being surprised that Jason didn't tell Danny, but again, yeah, understands the thought process to some extent. Doesn't bring it up ever.
Everyone else who hadn't seen firsthand how close Danny and Jason are don't really have much opinion on it -- Jason didn't tell his best friend he was alive, great, he also didn't tell them either so it's not like its that much of a surprise. It would've been more of a surprise to them if Jason had told Danny before he told Bruce and co. Damian may make a comment or two about Jason not telling Danny, but its not about how he can't believe he didn't tell him or anything like it.

you laughed as you read the crinkled letter with messy writing, in your hands,, how long had it been? eight or nine years? time had gone by so quickly,,,
you distinctly remember the first time you ever received ushijima’s cute little notes.
you had come back from the chemistry lab,, and found a piece of paper on your desk saying “i hope you had breakfast.”
assuming that it was a silly prank, you just tossed the little note alongside some papers in the depths of your school bag,,,
till you received another one the next day,, saying “morning runs are healthy. so maybe go on one sometime?”
and you were like (─.─||) is this person trying to say that I've put on weight??!!! DO THEY KNOW IM HUMAN AND ITS NORMAL TO PUT ON WEIGHT
you threw the note in your bag again
and then, the same happened the next day
except this note said,,, “sorry about the last chit. my friend told me I sounded rude. how was your day?”
you were like ??? can this person not make their mind up??? hello??
and so you kept on receiving them,, they ranged from “hope you did your math homework” to “carry a spare water bottle” to “stay safe when going back home”
and you got so used to receiving these notes that your day sort of felt incomplete without them,,, and you thought that you wanted to find the culprit behind them
and so,, you hid behind your class door,, to check who would come in to leave the little notes on your desk,,,
someone did come into class and it was not the person you expected. it was tendou. you figured you should confront him, it was now or never.
“so you're the one that's been sending me chits?!” you ask, and tendou jumps, not expecting you to be there.
“uhh–” he trails off, scratching the back of his head.
“sorry, I don't mean to put you in an awkward spot but I wanted to thank you for–”
“it’s not me, I'm only the messenger,” tendou interrupts. “he’s going to kill me if I tell you this–but it's ushijima,” tendou explains. “he likes you but he doesn't know how to say it so I suggested this way would be more better.”
and you were like (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻
“yOU MEAN USHIJIMA WAKATOSHI THE VOLLEYBALL TEAM CAPTAIN AND ACE LIKES ME????”
“sheesh no need to yell,” tendou retorted,,
“sorry, force of habit,” you smile sheepishly. “is there any chance you could get me to talk to ushijima?”
“as long as you don't reject him too harshly–then yes.”
tendou leads you to the captain who is practicing his spikes in the gym.
ushijima stares blankly when he sees you entering, despite his heart going fifty miles per hour. why were you here? you never visited the gymnasium.
he had in fact first seen you in his math class when you sat near the window and he was sitting behind you, watching you draw doodles on your textbook. eventually, it became a routine, where he'd chuckle at your little drawings of your math teacher.
he started looking for you during lunch hour, just having your presence around was enough for him. he never found it within himself to have the courage to talk to you. you were so nice, so kind and so out of his league.
it wasn't until tendou suggested this little idea that ushijima thought he might finally get to interact with you.
“hi, ushijima can I talk to you?” you ask, shyly and tendou nudges ushijima towards you, who manages to stutter out “yes you may,” following you outside.
“i saw tendou leaving the small chit on my desk,” you confess, and while ushijima has never been hit by a volleyball on the face, he sure feels like it would hurt less.
“i–i don't mean to embarrass you or anything!” you clear out, witnessing his spiral. “i wanted to say thank you, the notes were really sweet. And I was actually wondering if you'd like to go out on a date.”
youve never seen such a stoic man get red so fast. “i’d like that a lot yes.”
and while it's been years since school ended and you two have been together forever, he still leaves you the cutest notes.

We started getting ready for the Formal and honestly, Getting ready with them was never a boring experience. Anything but actually. Rarity helped me with my dress and I ended up going with (f/c dress).
"Hey guys..." I come out the dressing room and the all look at me with wide eyes. "You look beautiful, darling!" Rarity says. I laughed. "Just wait till you see Twilight. She's gorgeous." I smiled and Twilight came out the dressing room as well. Everyone shouted and I laughed. "Uhm, guys...?" They all turn to me. "I didnt tell anyone but Rarity this but..." I hold back my voice and I feel a hand on my shoulder. "We wont judge you." Rainbow dash says and I smile.
"I think I have a thing for Sunset..." I mumbled. All the girls audibly gasped. "Sunset Shimmer?" Fluttersy asked. "The girl you insult everytime your paths cross??" Apple Jack asked. "The girl who was a big meanie and Manipulated you?!" Pinkie asked and I sighed. "Sadly... b-but it's not my fault!" I protest. "Hold on, Does Sunset Shimmer even like girls?" I shrug. "Im not sure anymore, She came out the me a few years back but, i dont know if anything changed..." I sighed. "Im sorry, Twilight... I feel like I backstabbed you somehow.."
Twilight rests a hand on my shoulder. "You didnt backstab me, Y/n. You did everything you could to push her away from me and keep her on her side. That's what matters." She smiled. "Please dont tell me your gonna date her though... Her relationship with Flash was..." Everyone cringed. "I wont, I know she's toxic and everything so I wont date her." I smiled and everyone nodded. "Where not telling you not to date her because we dont like her, were trying to keep you safe, Y/n." Rarity says. "I know. Thank you guys..." I smiled.

At the dance, I feel uneasy. I have a feeling something bad is gonna happen. Not only that but, Im scared ill see Sunset Shimmer.. I mean of course she doesn't know what i think about her but, It's still nerve racking.. I'm really excited for Twilight to win the princess and everything but what if something goes wrong?
Flash and his band play and everyone dances. "Has anyone seen Sunset Shimmer?" Twilight shouts. "Maybe she was too embarrassed to show!" Rainbow dash laughed. "Maybe..." Twilight says. I sighed. Principal Celestia comes out. "I love how wonderful everything looks tonight especially after the unfortunate events of earlier.. Now to announce the winner of the Fall formal crown!" The tension is high and everyone has a feeling in the gut about who's gonna win. We all know who it is but... Where's sunset shimmer..?
"The winner is..." Everyone waits. I feel nervous and hold twilights hand. She got this. "Twilight Sparkle!" Everyone cheers and I let out a breath i didn't know i was holding in. I feel relieved. "Twilight help!" So much for feeling relieved... "Spike?! They've got Spike!" Twilight runs out but me and the girls all go with her. Sunset is up to this. Why can't she just accept she lost and not me a sore loser...
We run outside and... "Thats close enough." Sunset holds a hammer up ready to destroy the statue. Okay, I don't know about you but that was a turn off... "Give me the crown and you can go back home tonight.. Or keep it And never go home." I know twilight will choose the right thing..
"No," I take it back. "What?!" She shouted. "Ive seen what youve been able to do here without magic! Equestria will be able to survive without my element of harmony. Here wont." She said clutching the crown. Nevermind, she made the right choice. "Fine." She drops the hammer. "You win." Huh? Something's off...
Sunset shimmer jumps on Twilight and tries to get the crown the girls are all stunned and Im frozen in place. I grab the crown and Run with it but her two little helpers get to me to quickly. I throw the crown the spike and he catches it. He runs off with it and Her little friends chase him too. We all go on like a hop potato game until Sunset shimmer gets it.
"Give it back, Shimmer. Let it go." I shout to her. "No! Ever since you left me, you thought you could have whatever you wanted. Well guess what it doesn't work that way." I scoffed. "So it works that way for you? You can't do this!" I shout to her. "Well looks like I can, And I will." She laughed. "Finally, More power than i could ever imagine." She put on the crown and suddenly a surge of light came from it seizing her into the air. I looked up at it and felt disappointed.
I looked at the girls and sighed. "She's not who I fell in love with. I fell in love with the old her. The idea maybe she could change." I told Twilight. "I realize now thats not gonna happen..." She turned into a demon and turned her little goons into demons too. "Ew what the fuck?!" I shouted and stepped back.
I watched as she turned everyone in the school into a army of zombies. "I dont want to rule this pathetic little highschool. I want Equestria." She said. "Youre not gonna get it, Sunset Shimmer!" I shout. "And what are you gonna do to stop me?! Twilight has already interrupt my plans one to many times!" She laughed and we all hugged Twilight as to protect her yet, Sunset didnt harm any of us. "What?" I asked confused. Twilight smiles
"The power from the crown is a power you can't manipulate, Sunset shimmer! For it is a power you dont wield!" Twilight shouted and we all smiled. "What is happening?!" Sunset shouted and I couldn't help but laugh a little. We all arise in the sky and I smile. I love all my friends.
We all black out and I wake up on the ground. "What the..." I say. "Did we just kick demon ass?!" I shout and everyone laughs. I smiled and stood up. There was a huge pit in the ground. Theres smoke coming from there and in the middle is.. "Sunset...?" I whisper to myself.
"Tonight you've shown everyone who you really are, whats really in your heart." Twilight says. She looked up and she's... crying? I take a step back and I feel an uneasy sensation in my stomach. I dont understand. "I-I'm sorry.. Im so sorry.. I didnt know there was another way." She sobbed and my eyes widened.
"The power of friendship doesn't just exist in Equestria. Its everywhere... You can't have everyone or you can forever be alone. The choice is yours." Twilight said I held my arm and I looked away. I couldn't look at Sunset. "But all i've done since being here is drive everyone apart.. I dont know the first thing about friendship.." She sobbed. I cringed. "How about, making amends with the person you've hurt first?" Twilight smiled and pointed at me. My eyes widened and I took a step back.
"u-uhm.." I clutched my necklace. It had a heart on it. Sunset's eyes widened when she saw it. She walked up to me and put it in her hand. "Y-you kept it..." She said softly.
"Here, Y/n! I made this necklace as a symbol of our friendship!" Sunset shimmer handed me a gold necklace with a heart on it. "Woah, how did you make this?" I asked her and smiled. I immediately put it on. "Celestia taught me!"
I laughed nervously. "I couldn't throw it away and trust me, I tried." I held back whatever tears formed in my eyes. She hugged me and I blushed. I hugged her back and said nothing.
"I'm sorry for everything I've done to you..." She sobbed and I wiped her tears. "I..." I looked back at the others for help and they all nodded. "I forgive you, Sunset..." She looked up at me with wide eyes. "Sunset..? You haven't called me sunset since we were kids..." She smiled and laughed. "Well, were not enemies anymore are we?" She shook her head and she hugged me again, this time lifting me off the ground. I blushed. Maybe she's not so bad after all...
I looked up at the moon and see it's about to set. "Twilight, I know you have to get back but..." I look behind me and see Sunset. "I can't leave her..." I say to her. "Canterlot... This is my home. Tell Celestia that i wont be returning until next time. I..." I say fidgeting. Twilight holds my shoulder. "If she's the one you want to pursue, go for what your heart says." She looks back at her. "I know she's in good hands." She smiled and I teared up and hugged her. "Thank you, Twilight!"

Late Nights, Writers Block, & Apologies

Pairing: jack harlow x fem!reader
Genre: fluff, imagine
summary: you wake up at 2am alone in bed, looking around trying to find where Jack might be she finds their bedroom door cracked with light coming into the room. walking out of your room and wandering around, you find Jack in his studio with a pen and his notebook in front of him along with his face in his hands. he storms out leaving you upset, will he apologize?
you jolt awake, possibly from a bad dream. when she reaches over to feel for her beloved boyfriend, she feels his side is empty. 'hm' she thinks, wondering where her beloved boyfriend is.
walking to the sliver of light coming from the hallway, leaving the room in only her boyfriend's oversized 'Harlow' sweatshirt and some cheeky underwear, you make your way out of your shared bedroom on the hunt for her boyfriend.
after checking the living room, Jack's mancave, and the kitchen, you make your way to the only other place Jack could be; his studio.
"Baby?" you asked knocking softly on the door already cracked open with light coming from inside. She immediately sees Jack in distress.
"my love, whats the matter?'' she asked going to sit in the second chair beside jack, removing his hands from his once convered face. once his hands are moveed, she can see he's in tears. "oh baby'' she says getting into his lap as he holds her close, breaking down in her arms.
you noticed the trash can that was previously emptied was now full of balled pieces of paper, he was having writer's block.
"i cant do this anymore'' he says with slight anger.
"baby you know you dont have to do it all by yourself, you have urban and your entire team.'' you say attempting to comfort him the best you can as you move back into the nihgbooring chair to look at him face to face.
"what dont you understand y/n, i DONT NEED THEM!" jack yells grabbing his keys and storming out of the room. you stay put, in disbelief that hed ever raise his voice at you knowing what you've been through.
you immediately breakdown, going straight into your shared bedroom and locking yourself inside. engulfing into tears, upset that he'd lash out let alone at you. you never planned on leaving that room, ever again.
later that day...
'girl, you have to get up." Neelam says as shes repeated for the last few hours. its now 2 pm and youve yet to sleep. she used the key jack gave her icase of emergencies.
"but he doesn't love me anymore, why would he do that.." you say breaking down every word, you believed there was no purpose at this point. once Neelam gave up, you just curled up and slowly fell asleep.
Several times during your slumber you received multiple calls from Neelam, urban, and Jack. you declined every single one. yet this time you answered when Urban called.
"what urban" you say lowkey annoyed as you situate yourself on your bed.
"Jack's on his way back. hear him out, give him a chance.'' he says in a pleading voice, hoping to not have his favorite couple including you who is a sister to him, and Jack who is his childhood best friend, break up.
"I guess I can but you know how getting yelled at affects me urb," you say as he agrees. "I got to go, he's here," you say as your home security system alerts you that the garage door has been open, you both say your goodbyes as you hang up.
knock knock. "Baby?" Jack whispers at the door, attempting to open it, yet to find it locked. you get up open the door and immediately engulf him in a hug.
"I was so worried about you'' you say as you pull away from him yet your emotions change almost immediately "I'm still very mad at you tho," you say turning away from him and getting onto your shared bed.
"I know my love and I'm sorry, so very sorry," he says following behind you before grabbing your face so that you look at him.
"You're mine and im yours, im sorry I yelled. I know that can affect you in ways unimaginable." he says shedding a small tear, you quickly wipe it away.
"I accept your apology, but now you owe me a fuck tone of cuddles," you say making grabby hands at him as he quickly takes his shoes off and joins you lying down.

"i went downhill at such a steep inline" ... yea he did his life changed immeasurably in a single night and it's never coming back. the lyrics "'Cause I was born into the world on a silken cloud / And I got bored of the world before I hit the ground" ... while he had a ton of pressure. he loved his life, loved his family, was the type to constantly express how grateful he was for everything that got him where he was. and then he hit rock fucking bottom because he wanted to chase a little excitement with the pretty girl inviting him to join a 'club.' poor guy

again, i dont think i need to explain this. maybe this could be mary(jane's wife) singing to jane, cuz she was one of janes main supports after her parents death. jane can only act strong for so long but she is so so so fucking sad and mourning and she was always so soft and gentle and sweet and she lost everything in a single night. she spent a short period of time filled with rage, as she would be, but her story eventually evolves into her just wanting to help others with their cases, be happy with her wife, take care of sally, grow old, make her parents proud. she's climbed mountains and is probably in the best place of all the creeps. holds her. i dont touch her character too often because i just want her to settle happily lolz..

Hello fellow Harold enthusiast!! I have in fact gotten this question before but I'm actually quite happy to receive it again as I've long been meaning to create a Harry reading list that would (hopefully) allow people to follow his entire story up to his death
In this chronological guide I've attempted to capture Harry's journey as a character, narrowed down from my own 616 reading experience.
I tried to stay focused on Harry-centric storylines and issues, but I couldn't resist adding some casual appearances particularly during the Silver Age because 1) I think of it as foundational to just about everything that matters in Spider-Man comics and 2) Harry-centric storylines tend to show him at his most distressed. They're important and often brilliant, but reading only those issues feels like a disservice to his kind and loving qualities. It's important to experience the smaller, calmer moments with him as well to truly understand his character.
Personal favorites are bolded, if you care for my bias.

hi im sure youve been asked this a million bajillion times before but is there an estimated date for when Friendlocke S3 highlights will start coming to youtube?
Okay so, this is a loaded answer so STRAP IN:
I don't want to rush it this time, so probably sometime before the year ends, and here's why:
For Season 1, I finished editing all of the videos, and then posted them "Bingewatch" style in a short span of 2 weeks.
To me? That's optimal.
On the flipside, for Season 2, I rushed myself too hard, and ended up posting stuff WAYYY too early, and thus, Season 2's highlight videos were posted over the span of an entire year (YIKES)
This lead to Friendlocke effectively taking over my channel for a while, which I don't want. I want it to be one of the many series and videos on the channel! And for people who aren't interested to not get bombarded with it over a longer period.
The way Season 2 was handled is NOT happening again. So in an effort to not "grind stuff out for content" and appease the algorithm, I'm taking my time with it alongside a bunch of my bigger projects!
I am in NO RUSH, and I apologize if that stinks to hear, but I want to make sure these videos are REALLY good. Like, on par with previous seasons or even BETTER.
If you want to know my current progress, since you've been so kind to read my word vomit:
The Season is looking to have 6 episodes, much like Season 2!
The way the editing pipeline works for Friendlocke is that it's broken into 3 chunks. The Base Edit, the Salty Edit, and Final Additions.
"Base Edits" are done first, and are the video editing work done by my wonderful Editors (i.e. Tracey, Rusty, RasenDan, e.t.c.)! These edits are where they chop up the best/most important bits, and add some of their own visual/audio gags.
The "Base Edits" of episodes 1-4 are all complete, with 5 and 6 currently being worked on.
The "Salty Edit" is exactly what it sounds like, it's my draft of the Base Edits! I basically do my own round of editing of the previous drafts, making tweaks, adding jokes, and working on scripted segments to stitch events together where needed!
I haven't done much of my edits yet, as I'm focused on the Jojo Iceberg and bringing back some other videos, but I have been working behind the scenes on:
Final Additions! These are usually the last wave of edits, focused on adding in animation, music, and other things. While these are usually added in last, I have to coordinate with artists and animators fairly early on to make sure nobody has to crunch. Basically, as soon as I know a portion needs animation, or we have enough material for it, I talk to them immediately and start planning for it to be added later!
ANYWAY, sorry for the long blurb. Hope this all helps while I keep working on stuff in the meantime!

i am applauding you cause that shit is NOT EASY! as for tips, i think i made a post but i can't find it. BUT -- i really prefer to like,,..block the scene before hand. I'll just zone out and write anything i can think of, be that where sirius is, what he does. what remus says, what sirius says in response. where they move what they do, i like to get it all out and then i can go back and use that as a guideline to build around.
so, for example it could be like:
sirius walks in, walks over to remus
remus: what are you doing
s: nothing, im not doing anything
remus looks at him, turns back to computer. sirius huffs. remus looks up does the brow thing, turns around in chair, lets his knees fall open. pats knee
sirius sits down in his lap, youve been working too long. messes with button, sits down too hard and remus groans.

which is very basic, and not the 'smut' part, but i'd then take that and build it into something readable and paragraphs! idk, I've found that works best for me, personally!

If Crowley is crucified Jesus does that make Aziraphale Judas? You sort of touched on the option in your Fall spec but what about if it's referring to something in s3's modern scenes?
I don't really want the time travel/Book of Life/unreliable narrator theory to be true - I love unreliable narrators, so that could work depending on how it's done, I suppose... but in general I feel like that'd retcon too much of this season? - but I'm beginning to think there could be something to it. It's not just the okay-human-hair-does-grow sideburns and the well-there-could-have-been availability-issues-maybe-Crowley-just-changed-his-style sunglasses which you could handwave away. The shape of his Resurrectionist sideburns and the length of his Job hair seem to change as well - you know, the fricken fake hair that someone needed to deliberately change? There's *something* strange going on...
I forgot to save a link to a - I think Google Docs - meta picking apart the opening sequence and now I've lost it. I was wondering/hoping maybe you or one of your followers knew where it was or even just where I could look? Thank you!

as for the rest of your ask: couple of tasty things to talk about here, so let's goooo!!!
i think it could be an interesting concept, aziraphale choosing to betray AWCW pre-fall in the interest of protecting - in his mind - the sanctity of heaven. it certainly would be a fitting bridge, imo, in tone and atmosphere between the pre-fall scene and the wall of eden scene. that being said, i think the analogy would have to be handled quite delicately given the general belief that judas was motivated by greed, or political gain*, and im not entirely convinced that GO would be influenced so literally by scripture, even if allegorically - aziraphale = judas / crowley = jesus could feel a bit... on the nose.
*though, if you consider psalms and john, there is the understanding that jesus chose judas as one of his disciples in order to fulfil prophecy which given that i anticipate there will be a further exploration of free will in GO, this could have fascinating Implications✨
but the thing is: the above only really works narratively, in my opinion, if there is an element of unreliable narratorship and memory modification. if crowley remembered that aziraphale hypothetically dobbed him in, i can't quite believe he would be so cordial, or seem as innocent, as he was on the wall. that, to me, screams that he doesn't remember all of the fall specifically (and his conflicting/piecemeal recollections of why and how he fell in s1 would make sense), at which point there would need to be an element of memory erasure.
as for the source of the memory erasure (and anon, im writing this on the assumption that you haven't read all of my musings, so forgive me if im repeating shit youve already read!), this is where i think i think the BOL comes in. i think the whole wording around 'cease to exist' - upon being erased from the BOL - potentially refers to angels losing memories of their angelic self.
however, the issue with this is that we have crowley and beelzebub both remember snippets of their time as angels (funnily enough, when talking about 'extreme sanctions' to frighten the younger angels). so, whether the BOL in fact erases memory, or if instead it erases angelic grace, i think regardless it has to have something to do with the sentence of falling.
im not a huge fan of memory-wipe plot devices for the same reason you've said - i think it removes too much character accountability - but the allusions to it in respect of crowley in s2 are too much to ignore, so there must be a grain of truth to it. and we know heaven has the power to do it - they outright plan to erase gabriel's memories in ep6.
all of that being said, however - i personally don't subscribe to the 'metatron has been fucking about with reality and memory and has been rewriting it using the BOL' theory. personally (and this doesn't mean i wouldnt be 100% on board with it if it turns out to be the case), i think it's a little too convoluted, even if it does explain the sideburn/hair length/sunglasses shenanigans.
i hasten to add here that even i am not fully behind my own time-travel batshit theory, because it doesn't really make a whole lot of sense and is similarly ridiculously convoluted, but i do think there has to be an in-story explanation for these discrepancies (ie. it's nothing to do with wardrobe choices or dt's filming schedule).
the fact that only (iirc) crowley is affected by this weirdness however is compelling, because lbr; who would care enough about crowley himself for there to be any fuckery where his specific narrative is concerned? well, that only leaves aziraphale and crowley himself*.
i have to admit that i need to examine the job and resurrectionist minisodes closer to see which specific scenes show the discrepancies (and possibly look at the 1941 minisode to boot), but the thing is - we know that crowley has the power to affect time. messing about with his own timeline, possibly in a bid to protect aziraphale (?) or prevent him going back to heaven, would account for a lot of his lines and his decisions in s2, and to my mind would account also for the very suspicious colour grading in s2: what is posed as a non-diegetic might in fact be the opposite, and the reason why we're seeing so much yellow and red grading is because it is all literally influenced by crowley's power himself... essentially, we could be seeing a colour signature of his power.
*i know metatron could be in this list; he obviously remembers him and bears a grudge, but im not convinced at this point that he is that threatened by him. he is able to separate crowley and aziraphale rather easily by social engineering - i think timeline/reality manipulation would be a bit overkill...
alternatively (and i can't take credit for this, this was my bf*), could it be that aziraphale in his new status as supreme archangel goes back to try and prevent AWCW falling? crowley rejects his offer of restoration (quite rightly), but aziraphale wants to prevent the pain that follows his fall, fully believing that he didn't deserve it, and goes back to the pre-fall scene to prevent AWCW asking questions?
that would explain in some sense why aziraphale seems to have a concept of punishment during this scene (when, to my mind, there's not currently any firm narrative explanation as to why he should). obviously it doesn't work, aziraphale fucking about with time - and trying to influence/retcon past free will - and AWCW is made to fall as punishment on aziraphale (hence scapegoating AWCW). this in turn would explain why crowley doesn't seem to know why he fell; he 'only asked questions'.
*both bf and i understand that there are a lot of loopholes in this (we were just spitballing about your ask, anon!) and im personally not sold on it because of what it could implicate for the wider narrative, plus it doesn't quite make sense re: the colour grading, the changes in crowley's appearance etc, but it is a valid speculation and could hold some weight... would probably need to think on it more to see if it is more plausible than im currently giving it credit for!!!
just a couple of ideas, and nothing that i firmly believe!!! i think one of these days, because all of my speculations link in together, i might need to write it all up into one long essay - but until that day, i love answering asks like this that make me think more on themes and allegory, and speculate on s3 - frankly, still in the wake of s2, it's what's keeping me going!✨

Because I have someone I trust with my life, like I've literally given them . Probably too much information about me shfngkfk but the thought of meeting up with them, while i absolutely want to. So so badly. It's also... really scary now that im thinking about seriously?
Ive actually met up w someone online before and we did it super safely but that was bc they were already visiting close to where i lived so their plans didnt Rely on that. But this would be me flying to where they live, solely to meetup with them. And that thought is terrifying and . Yeah sorry if this is a weird ask shfkf i just thought that since youve (possibly?) done it before that it might be a good place to ask. this is a really good question, I don't mind answering it at all! I'd say when you're meeting up with an online friend irl, you have to consider specific details to figure out the safest way to go about it
firstly, if you're a minor you need to be extra cautious. this isn't to say you turn 18 and you're magically safe now, but as a minor you are much more likely to be targeted by creeps wanting to meet up with you irl.
when I've met internet friends irl, I've done it in a few different ways. by far the dumbest and riskiest way I ever met a friend that turned out fine but I look back at and cringe on was when I was 19 and I straight up just drove to a friend's house (she was 27 at the time for reference) when I found out she lived an hour away from me. I'd never met her in person before but we'd been talking for several months and I'd seen pictures of her, but just straight up going to a stranger's house was really stupid on my end. I sent the address to my mom before I left along with my friend's name and number so I took some precautions, but still that was very risky. it turned out totally fine and she's still a really close friend of mine to this day, but yeah uhh don't do that unless you're REALLY confident in whoever you're meeting up with
as for my more recent meetups, I met roxy eli and meri for the first time last year when we all agreed to go to twitchcon san diego together (though actually I'd met meri a month before bc they happened to be visiting a city close to me for a few days, so I drove over and picked them up at their airbnb and we got dinner it was very fun). for me I was the least at risk with twitchcon because I'm from southern california, so if things got weird I literally could've just driven home. it was more risky on roxy, eli, and meri's ends because they all had to fly out for the trip. it helped though that we were all staying at an airbnb instead of someone's house. we'd all seen plenty of pictures of each other at that point, and we were all in our 20s so I think that's why we all felt more comfortable with it as well, but no matter what meeting up with people you meet online carries a level of risk to it
firesnap was one of the least risky meetups I've done lol. she had an extra ticket to see lovejoy in NY, I already had been planning a trip to new york to visit a childhood friend of mine who lived there, so we just met up while I was over there. I stayed at my friend's place, firesnap had her own hotel, and we just met up at the lovejoy venue and hung out in the queue all day. that was easy because I had my own place I was staying at, firesnap her own place she was staying, we weren't relying on each other for any of that so if something had been weird we both would've been able to dip. so I was far less cautious with that one and didn't even see a picture of firesnap until literally the day before we met up
overall, I think if you want to fly out solely to meet a friend, you need to take a few steps to make sure you're safe. first off, see if you can do a video call with them at one point to confirm that your friend is really who they say they are. get their real name, phone number, and address and give it to someone you know so if things go wrong someone knows where you are. and when you fly out, make sure you have a backup plan to get out if things get weird. see if you have any family or friends you've already met in person that live nearby who can get you if things aren't feeling right, and if not, find a hotel near where your friend lives and make sure you have enough money to stay at it in case of an emergency. and if your phone has a tracking ability on it (like find my iphone) make sure someone you know has access to that. keep your irls updated on where you are and what you're doing, and if you're really paranoid, establish a safeword that you can text family or friends back home to let them know something has gone wrong and you need help.

Ya’ll are fucking wild here. no wonder why this rp has just been the same 5 people for the last 4 years. But I thought maybe things are different, maybe it’s changed. Wrong. Admin, you still make rules to cater to the admin or the “inner” 3 other members they’ve deemed “worthy”. You make rules that cater to pretty much you only. You dont care about how you make other people feel, as long as you're getting your way. And the members here have been so brainwashed by the bullshit either theyre too scared or too intimidated to say anything. You still find a way to corrupt people from playing certain fc’s you have history with STILL forcing history on certain fc’s. A history ONE player expects you to remember every detail to even if you don’t like the plot. That one player who makes SO MANY people uncomfortable, whether they want to admit it or not, who also just happens to be the main admin. The main admin who doesnt even do a god damn thing on the main, and then will make every excuse as to why not. Sarah, you’ve found so many ways to provoke, gaslight, bully, guilt or force threads, histories, plots on probably every single player here. It’s gross. You deserve every call out youve gotten. But I don’t even 100% blame you. I also blame most of the spineless people you claim to be your “friends”. Here they complain and shit talk behind your back but then turn around and lick the ground you walked on. But probably because you’ve bullied them into it. I love how you post this long ass thing from the main saying how this place isn't for everyone and if youre bothered, blah blah. Just say this place is for you to do whatever tf you want whenever you want, and be done with it. At least be honest. How many times did you ask if you should drop certain chars looking for pity and how many people begged you to stay, Sarah? No one. That's telling. But its good to know this group is only here for you and your bullshit. Since this group is "anything goes" then the second someone calls your character out ic, you do the same thing you do ooc and come up with every excuse on why youre not wrong. Amd then kick them out! Maybe instead of always blaming everyone both ic and ooc, maybe look inward.I tried, I really tried to come in with an open mind that maybe this place had changed over the many years, but it clearly never will.Also, on the subject of bullying, Lena, you're also a god damn bully, which is funny since youre barely even on. But you still found a way, thought it was okay to message me and try to get me to drop ashley. First time we spoke you instantly were guilting me saying I swiped up Ashley before you could. And then to actually IM me the other day trying to guilt me into giving her up? So fucking rude. But at least you got your wish. Ya’ll have zero class. RP should be fun. This place sucks the fucking life out of you. I now remember why Sarah used to be banned from so many hollywood rps back in the day and why this place was basically blacklisted. Why i used to have to block her and other members here from my character pages bc youd steal shit. I bet I could log onto an old blog and find FANMAILS of her TRYING to force ships and plots in old rps, thats how long its been going on. I will say i do feel bad for some of the quality players in this group. I just dont know why you put up with it when there are groups out there where you dont have to be foeced into ships or plots just bc youve known someone for so long. Where you dont have to NOT come on the dash bc a player/character is being redundant and miserable 24/7. You dont have to sit here and keep letting sarah and this group take advantage of you. this year has been a difficult one for you. you've stepped out of your comfort zone on many occasions and things happened that you least expected that forced you to reevaluate how you do things in your free time. youve evolved as a write and expanded your horizons with new content and enjoyed new series and played new games. for all the difficulties 2023 has brought you, there has also been a lot of good. i know it's not always easy to remember that, but im proud of you for so much. not just for making it this far and not giving up, but continuing to pursue your interests and expand your skill set with charmmaking. youve grown a lot. i cant wait to see what you'll do in 2024. you'll do great, i know it.
