went to get a battery replacement on my phone and am now fighting with itunes to restore last night’s back-up to a brand new phone

#they broke mine #and because i don't do cloud backups #i'm having to restore at home #which would be fine #if this phone wasn't apparently super out of date software wise #which means i somehow have to update the software #then restore the backup #and itunes doesnt want to do the update #which means i have no phone #and no way to get into my apple account #because i get a text to ensure its me logging in #except i cant use my phone to get the text #ugh
