Wait. I just had an epiphany while replaying in an attempt to search for redacted clues. Is/was Redacted... The Golden one of the era...? This is literally based off nothing but vibes, but 👀👉👈 (also the constant feeling of being watched gngngngn I'm literally gripping onto anything, help)

Golden is used for a lot of things in both the game and the lore, so I'm not totally sure what you're referring to!

If you mean the Golden Day, then that is both a holiday + a celestial event and not anything with sentience

If you mean 'golden' as how it's used in some of the merchant conversations in Chapter One, then that's a term used to refer to those that live in and around Treles / more abstractly to those from wealth

And if you mean Golden One as in the High Priestess, then I have no comment!
