Drake ft. Young Thug (March 18, 2017)

Drake and Young Thug collab on this poppy, upbeat hip-hop tune rapping about how the woman they want needs to know how special she is. "You're a diamond out the rough or somethin', somethin'/You need to give it up to someone/You need to give luck to someone." Young Thug feels like this woman should give her time to a man that deserves her because she's a "diamond in the rough".

"Look, I want you to myself/But I know you just left someone else, I know you did/He did a number on you (I know, brrrt)/That must be why you move so… icy." Still fresh from the Meek Mill break up, Drake has now set his sights on Nicki Minaj as a potential girlfriend. But she has her guard up, and is moving "icy" to keep from looking vulnerable like she did after her breakup with Safaree. This "iciness" could also be the cause of Nicki being recently dissed by rapper Remy Ma with the song Shether on February 25, 2017. In response to this diss, Nicki released the song No Frauds (originally supposed to be a club song) with Drake, and Lil Wayne.

In the bridge Drake says that Nicki is moving icy "like 1017". Referencing the rapper Gucci Mane's 1017 Brick Squad label and the jewelry he loves wearing. Before Nicki joined Young Money, she actually ran around with Gucci Mane in Atlanta for a little bit doing music with him and his crew. In the Pre-Chorus he further elaborates: "I still need some satisfaction/A little less talk and a little more action/I need you out in Jamaica, relaxin'." During the Billboard Music Awards in 2017 Drake took a photo with Nicki that he posted to his Instagram with the caption: "This that I still need some satisfaction" face. During this time, Nicki's dating life was very casual. She was talking to rapper Nas around this time; it was nothing serious, just casually seeing each other. Most theorize that Nicki only entertained him because of the beef with Remy Ma (she sampled his song). "I wanna see you do more in this life if we takin' it there (Takin' it)/I want to see you do 911, fuck a Panamera (In a 911)." This line is a clear shot at Meek Mill who was on his friend Omelly's song Panamera in 2013. The 911 is a reference to the Porsche 911. Drake is clearly telling Nicki that she needs to upgrade from a Panamera (Meek) to a Porsche 911 (Drake). At the end of the next bridge Drake raps: "Better not give that up (Better not give that up)/I'm here patient as can be, man." He's telling Nicki to hold out for him and wait until he's ready to make steps towards making her his.

Bakugou is very attentive to you and your needs, no matter what he just somehow knows when you want something but refuse to say anything to him.

I imagine one of those situations is when you're stopping at the petrol station with him, the fancy black car purring into a smooth stop and he wastes no time in getting out of the car to fill it up. You'd tagged along with him for the afternoon whilst he ran errands for his agency and his friends, it wasn't overly exciting but you loved to spend time with him regardless.

The sound of the car door opening automatically has you looking over to Bakugou as he leans one arm on the roof of the car, bending his body down enough to peer into the open door to look at you. "You want anythin' from inside?", he watches closely at the way your eyes dart to the side for a moment eyeing a sign for some sort of snack that had been brought out, but still you return his question with a soft 'no thank you' and a shake of your head.

But he saw the pout on your lips, Bakugou closes the door not soon after mumbling about how he's gotta go pay then you both can go back home. You watch his broad back and shoulders in the thin, hardly really something you can count as an item of clothing, tank top that was most definitely more for showing off his thick biceps, and of course, he wore grey sweatpants that are for showing off how hard he works on his ass and thighs from just how tight they were on the man. You sigh a little in longing when he disappears behind the automatic doors of the small petrol station store.

Bakugou doesn't waste much time in the store, always a man who works fast and efficiently. The door opens again, and you settle in for the drive back home when something drops into your lap with a soft thud and then the sound of a door closing. You jump in the seat, looking at whatever your boyfriend had thrown at you on his way into the car only to find it's the snack from the sign that you were looking at when he had asked.

"I said I didn't want anything though," you pout when he does his own seatbelt, hand on the steering wheel when he looks at you for a moment.

"So? Your pout was a different story," he snickers when you protest at the fact you were not pouting—you were—"Shuddup and eat your sugary shit." he says, leaning over enough to lay a delicate kiss on your lips when you turn to look at him in thanks.

Yeah, he's very attentive to you and will always know the best way to keep you happy.

I had a dream that I was watching The Terror again and it was… a bit different.

There was a plot where Francis Crozier was pregnant. Not by Fitzjames, no; they weren’t close like that. I think by someone who was 1) a casual hookup and 2) dead. He was confiding in Fitzjames about it, though, and complaining of breast soreness. Fitzjames asked him if he was sure he was pregnant and he said yes, that he recognized the symptoms from when he was younger, and then told a story about how his mother had helped him get an abortion when he was a teenager so he could pursue his then-incipient naval career.

Unfortunately, in the dream, I was watching this version of The Terror with my father and brother and they were confused. “But he’s a man! How is such a thing possible?”

“Transgender,” I explained impatiently, because it was obvious this was the direction the show had gone with the character, even though the actor playing him was still cisgender actor Jared Harris.

“But still, no way this would happen,” I added. “I mean, look at him. He’s GOT to be post-menopausal.”
