Hehe, it's officially been 11 years since I saw that Scratte was going to get a cameo as a siren in Ice Age 4. And the best part is? Three days before this specific commercial was released, I thought to myself "They forgot all about Scratte I'm never gonna see her again TAT". But then I came back home from school to come across this commercial and I was the happiest girl alive. <D

The scene still makes me incredibly happy to this day and I'll always be so glad that Blue Sky never forgot about her and gave her this cameo, including one at the end and in the credits of Ice Age 5! But yeah, it'll always be my absolute favorite scene in Ice Age 4 for obvious reasons. ^w^

The Story

The story is about the gang getting separated after Scrat causes the continents to form.

The Ellie/Peaches storyline is a generic teen romcom told terribly! Seriously, we have the overprotective father who shelters his daughter, the mother who doesn't do much and why is the two possums in this film. You think they were pointless in the last film, what till you see this film!

The main storyline should of been a mid-quel that should of took place between the first and second movie because they just kick the newer characters out of the main plot so we have just the three main characters from the first film. But overall, the main storyline feels like something you would find on a Direct-To-DVD film. Not a film that was released in theatres!

The Characters

The characters get no development whatsoever. We just get told about the one characters what we already know and this film also adds new characters that get little to no development and literally have no purpose to be in this film. And did I mention this film also stars some Minion rip-offs?

The Animation/Special Effects

Most of the film is spent out of sea. We get no interesting backgrounds and the new character's designs look uninspired and random. Look at the Mole-Hedgehog. It looks more like a crappy fan-made Sonic character than an Ice Age character.

Final Thoughts

Overall, this is a terrible sequel. It should of just been released on DVD/Blu-Ray. I first watched this film in theatres when I was young, and I was just bored to death by this film, so unless you want your kids to get bored, don't let them watch this film. You'd rather walk the plank.

Picking my favourite Ice age movie is interesting because

on the one hand the first 1 is objectively the best, it has such a different tone to the rest of the series and ctaully has some nice quiet character introspection

And on the other hand I like the third movie because dinosaur cool and Buck funny
