hello! I saw your festive prompt.
could I request idea 6 or 27 with Levi x Hange, please. 💚💜
Festive Fics 27: Confessing A Crush When It’s Snowing
The Last Two People on Earth (modern AU) Levi x Hange (mentioned: Zeke Yeager) 1835 words
Levi was struck by hot whips of panic. His breath rasped in his lungs as he glared wildly into a haze of white. The frantic scraping of his windscreen wipers did little to relieve the snow as it pummelled down with renewed ferocity. It was quickly becoming impossible to drive in such a blizzard; the tightening of his chest warned him so. And yet his eyes were fixed upon the darkness, searching amongst the pale limbs of trees which lined the road for a lone figure. Every shape emerged as human company, only for his headlights to flash over it and extinguish all hope. Levi was terrified that he would pass them without recognition… leave them to perish out in the storm. How long had Hange been walking? They had left moments before he had run to his car. How had they managed to cover so much ground in that time?
Then his lights caught a shape. Stalking against the wind, head bowed, arms wrapped around them, was Hange Zoe.
Levi’s tyres crunched the ground as his vehicle slowed to a halt. He flung open his door and scrambled out.
“Oi, Hange!”
His voice tore in the snow-flecked gale. Hange stopped, arms still folded, refusing to turn around. Flakes dusted the shoulders of their coat; tangled in their hair. Levi’s shoes sank into the carpet of white. Snow littered his chest and arms. He brushed the flakes from his face with an impatient hand. Within a few short seconds the cold was already beginning to seep through his jacket.
“Of all the places this guy had to live… what is this, Count Fucking Dracula’s Castle…?”
“Well, no one asked you to drive all the way out here!” Hange burst out tremulously.
Their breath coiled like smoke into the wind. Suppressing a shiver, Levi wrung the snow from his arms. Then he placed a tentative touch upon their shoulder.
“Hange-” Slowly, they turned to him. Their lenses were smeared, eyes clouded with hurt and fury. The gale had whipped their cheeks raw.
“Come on. You really think you would have gotten very far walking in all this?”
“I only left because you showed up uninvited!”
Hange’s stare blazed the ground. And yet, they did not resist as Levi drew them closer.
“We can’t stay here-” The cold air grated Levi’s tone, fraying every word until they hung hoarsely between them. “We’ll freeze.”
His arm tightened around Hange’s shoulders. The fabric of their coat was so icy it chilled his fingertips. Turning back, they struggled towards the car. Hange refused to speak another word, even once the door had slammed shut upon the cool interior of the vehicle.
As they rolled into the night, there was just the rustle of flakes upon the windscreen and the creaking of Levi’s wipers as they battled the onslaught.  His eyes strained, exhausted, into the whirl of white. Only minutes had passed before Levi could hardly see more than a couple of inches of road curving in front of them. A sudden bend caught him unaware, forcing him to press upon the brake. The car crawled feebly, defeated by the elements which rained down upon them.
“We can’t keep on going, Levi…” Hange’s voice was heavy with tiredness.
“You mean…” Levi turned to cough into his damp sleeve. As he lifted his head, he found himself unable to finish his question. The silence settled heavily between them, as suffocating as the snow which clung to the corners of the glass
“There’s a high school less than ten minutes from here,” Hange suggested, “I remember visiting there a couple of times for inter-school competitions…”
Levi obliged by pulling over by the side of the road. He removed a torch from the glove compartment and retrieved a spare sweater from the back seat - this, he flung upon Hange’s lap.
The school building loomed into view; a hidden relic encased within the swirl of a shaken snow globe. Arms clinging to one another, bowed against the gale, Levi and Hange staggered forwards. They moved in slow motion, like aged versions of themselves cut out of time and place, left to wander in a world of white.
“Evening cleaning staff stay til late,” Hange’s jaw chattered as they nodded towards the lit windows. “I doubt they’ll be leaving anytime soon…”
Frozen footsteps left a trail of ice-water across the hardwood floors. Crossing an eerily quiet reception area, the two of them entered the first ground floor room they passed. It was a small space connected to an adjoining classroom. A faded display adorned the wall; paper turned pale by the sunlight of endless summer afternoons. Fresh chalk had recently been scrawled over a small, wall-mounted board. There was the scent of plastic, of paint and marker pens preserved in the still air.
They removed their wet shoes and placed them beneath a traditional column radiator which ran along the space opposite the window. Levi shook the water from his jacket and placed it over a classroom chair. The sudden warmth after such exposure drew the heat into his face. He ran his tongue across the roof of his dry mouth. Then he removed a tissue from his pocket to wipe at his icy nose. Hange sat with their back resting against the radiator, Levi’s thick sweater spread over their lap.
Once Levi had settled beside them, they lapsed into separate spheres of thought. The window opposite was a black square framing flakes as they drifted upon the night like feathers.
“Is it true?” Levi broke the silence at last. He appeared to address his arms, which rested upon his knees. “What you said before?”
The sleeve of Levi’s sweater slid off Hange’s lap as they shifted against the metal coils of the radiator. They retrieved it a little pedantically, smoothing the fabric out with several strokes of their hand.
“...about what?”
“That you only left because I showed up?”
“Well, how else do you explain it?” Hange turned to him fiercely. “You appeared out of nowhere. Of course Zeke assumed he was getting in the middle of something! Now I’d be surprised if I ever manage to get him on his own again.”
Levi reached out to check the dampness of his jacket. “...I see.”
“I don’t think you do.” Hange shifted so that they were kneeling next to him. The sweater lay crumpled at their side. “This is how it works with benefactors! If a department needs funding for equipment then they have to kiss a pompous ass here or there to make it happen.”
Levi’s mouth twisted at their words.
“I know it’s not the same in your job… but to us, donations are everything.” Hange glared down at their trembling fists. “Without them, we can’t continue our work. We’d be left stranded years behind in terms of research…”
“It just…” Levi lowered his head and coughed into his sleeve again. “It shouldn’t have to be that way.”
“Well… it is.” Hange sat back on their heels. In this posture there was something childlike about them. “...and you implying that there’s something seedy going on when it was just dinner and the offer of a guest room in his house… well, that really stings, Levi.”
“I never thought…”
“So why then, huh?” Hange’s voice rang in the small confines of the room. “Why did you drive all the way out here from your place?”
“I…” Levi cleared his throat again. Then he leaned his head back against the plain plaster wall behind them. “I… just think it gives the wrong idea.”
“So what… you rode out here to defend my honour?” Hange laughed derisively. “Give me a break…”
“Don’t be stupid. I mean it gives him the wrong idea.”
The corners of the windows were misted with white. The darkness beyond was speckled with wisps of magic.
“Moblit told me about the last time you both met that guy… he said there was something off about him. You all felt it. And… I didn’t like the idea of you being stuck with someone who makes you feel that uncomfortable.”
Hange wrapped their arms around their knees. They turned their face away and remained still, half-hidden by their sleeve.
“It’s not your job to rescue me… I don’t know why you think it is.”
In answer, Levi drew towards them. Wordlessly, he picked up his sweater and swept it around Hange’s shoulders so that the sleeves embraced them around the neck. His hand lingered upon the material; his eyes intent upon their face. Then he moved back against the wall.
Silence lay upon the scene once more, only broken by tiny, incidental sounds. The humming of the overhead lights. The clicking of the radiator. Rustlings of snow whispered their secrets against the glass. The quiet rasp of Levi’s breath. Within that small room surrounded by flaking plaster and old paper… the smell of chalk dust and dried paint… Hange heaved an exhausted, tearless sigh. So consumed by their anger, they had hardly noticed Levi. He was sleeping, his head resting against the faded wall. His face was drawn and pale.
Removing his sweater from around their shoulders, Hange draped it over his lap. Levi gave a small grunt in response but did not stir. Hange placed the back of their hand against his forehead, withdrawing as his skin burned them.
“You idiot,” Hange chided him, “rushing out into a storm to save me, even though you’re sick and trying to hide it… who do you think you are, a knight in shining armour?”
Hange studied his pale brow, tightened with worry, even now as he slept. They mapped out the contours of his angular cheekbones; the small, curved nose; his sharpened jawline.
“You were born in the wrong era, Levi. You ought to have lived in the time of fair maidens so you could ride in on horseback and be the hero.” They gave a sparkling peal of laughter, their tone far lighter than before. “It’s just… I’m not cut out to be a damsel in distress, I’m afraid.”
Levi’s dark fringe tickled the back of their hand as they stroked it away from his face.
“You see… you’ve got it all wrong. You don’t need to worry about me… especially when it comes to Zeke.”
The room had grown colder and emptier without Levi’s brash interjections, but Hange would not have woken him for the world. As his breath whistled quietly down his nose, Hange marvelled at the steady rise and fall of his chest.
“...because I can take care of myself… just how I take care of you.”
Instinctively, Hange’s fingers felt for his. They knelt beside him, Levi’s hand held gently in theirs.
“Thanks to you we’ll be stuck here until sunrise…”
Hange touched their own forehead lightly to his. Resting there for a moment, they savoured the warmth of his skin as it flared against their own.
“...we could be the last two people on earth. Maybe we should just stay here forever… just you and me.”

A Scene Popped Into My Head But Instead Of Writing A Whole AU I’m Just Going To Write That One Scene <3
—> Scene Capture Fics Masterlist
—> Today’s Feature: Ice Hockey Coach Levi!
—> a/n: a scene capture fic????? in 2023????????? yes, i'm actually alive :) tbh by reading this you can tell how rusty i am because this is trash
Tumblr media
Levi doesn't think he's ever had this big of a headache. And there's been some real contenders over the course of his life. One would think all the death or that one bit where he was sleeping on the streets would take the cake. But no, it's this idiot—this mousy, annoying fucking idiot who really makes migraines a constant in his life.
For the sixth time in an hour, Levi blows his whistle.
"Jock! Get the fuck out of the rink!"
The player in question slams down the stick he's holding in his left hand, shoving the teammate he just elbowed out of the way before skating towards him. That migraine seems to pulse in anger the same way the player's veins do.
"You can't bench me again," he seethes, fists clenched and eyes flaming behind his helmet. "I'm your best player."
"You're also the biggest pain in the ass." Levi grabs the front of his shirt. "Any points you score won't mean shit if you get double the penalties."
Never has he met a player so skilled, and yet so troublesome. When Levi agreed to coach the team as a favor to Erwin, who owned them and was taking loss after loss, he hadn't expected this hothead. From the first moment the man introduced himself, wide-eyed, spitting out the word, "Cock!" when Levi demanded his name, he'd been nothing but a dick indeed.
"What was that?" he'd hissed, eyes narrowing.
"Jock! I meant Jock!"
"Tch. And you clearly find that fitting, do you?"
"Oh yes, sir, I'm the best player you'll meet."
And to Jock's credit, he hadn't been wrong. He was the best player Levi had seen since, well, probably Erwin and himself. The word miss wasn't even in the man's dictionary, and he skated on the ice like he'd been born to do so. The problem was that Levi was the coach of a team, and Jock was anything but a team player.
From the beginning, he was aggressive. Constantly shoving teammates both smaller and bigger than him around, constantly shouting, constantly throwing tempter tantrums. Levi knew a thing or two about a short fuse, but this guy made him look like a fucking saint.
"Far as I see it, Coach, you're the only one who penalizes me." That gaze hadn't stopped glaring once. "Whatchu gonna do when other teams and kick these weaklings' asses? I'm the only one who—"
"Did I stutter?" Holding one hand out, Levi takes your stick from one of the other players (a common occurrence, for them to pick it up) and shoves it in your hands. "Get the fuck out and sit out for the rest of practice, or I'll kick this weakling's ass right now."
Even people who have played against him haven't given him the look that Jock's giving him now. A hateful gaze complete with bared teeth, like he's about to pounce.
"Fuck you, coach."
The worst thing, Levi thinks as he finally stalks off, mutter obscenities under his breath, is that unlike other players who get angry, this is the only who looks undeniably attractive while doing so.
Tumblr media
And speaking of undeniably attractive.
Nighttime is the only time his migraine seems to die out, and sure, part of it is because he's not coaching anymore. Another part is that he can simply skate, without hearing shouts and without having to be aggressive. And the final part, is the company.
The first night he'd visited this rink, he'd found he wasn't alone.
"Sorry!" the stranger had whisper-shouted. "There's never anyone here usually, since the rink is closed."
"It's alright. You can skate, I know the rink is booked up with the trainings all the time."
"Yeah. But..." Her words seem to catch even her by surprise. "Well, it's a large area. We can share."
"You're here earlier than normal," she teases, already on the ice as usual. "Miss me, Levi?"
He snorts, already entering the rink with two sticks and a puck. "Better you than the idiots I deal with all day."
The woman's eyes are some of the nicest things he's seen, especially when she smiles. When she spins, one foot in the air, she doesn't know he's watching, and yet she seems to make a point to be completely entrancing.
He's never seen anyone skate like her. If his skills are a ten, then hers are a hundred.
"Here." He offers her a stick. "You said you played, right?"
"Um..." For some reason, she looks nervous. "I used to, back in high school."
(In high school, Levi was skating too, but the only time he played hockey was when someone, usually Erwin or Petra, managed to convince him to drop the attitude and play a match.)
"Play with me," he requests, "there's gear in my bag if you want it—"
"No," her response comes quickly, "um, no, I don't need gear, that's okay." Giving the stick a practice swing, she grins up at him. "But why are we playing today? You want some practice?"
"I honestly just need to remember why I like the sport." Levi groans, rubbing the back of his neck to soothe out a crick. Then he slides the puck into the center, not bothering to make sure it's a perfect fit. "The big match is in two days, and there's only so much I can fucking take training these assholes."
Levi notes immediately that she favors her left side. "Anyone in particular giving you problems?"
"The usual. Eren, Jean. Connie. And this one dick. Gets angry at everything that moves."
He moves first, but she still hits the puck before him, in a speed that few have demonstrated to him before. He can only blink as she moves past his shoulder. "Sounds like a handful. But maybe he's just got stuff going on?"
"What would he have going on?"
"Everyone has stuff going—hey!" she cries, when he steals the puck from her, swerving around and skating towards the other side. In a flash, she's going around the other side.
"Not an excuse to be an asshole, is it?"
"Well—no. But is he a good player?" Instead of coming up to him, she skates up to the net, right as he takes aim and swings.
Her stick outstretches before she moves, blocking the puck with a resounding smack and sending it sliding to the right.
This isn't a real match, so Levi takes the time to pause, raising a brow at her.
"One of the best I've seen."
"Then," and she takes her time too, offering him a sweet smile as she propels forward, stopping in front of him, "maybe you should cut him some slack."
A part of him wishes he could say the last time he felt his chest squeeze like that was a long time ago, to really make this moment special. But it was only a few hours ago, when the same man he's complaining about now had looked at him with hate, the exact opposite of the softness in your gaze.
"M'starting to think the guy's your boyfriend, the way you're batting for him."
She laughs, skating back as he follows her. "No. I don't have a boyfriend."
This is the first time a topic like this has come up. His heart twists happily. "Would you even date a hockey player?"
"Mm, I don't know. A lot of them are assholes."
She's not wrong. If Jock wasn't enough of an example, Levi definitely is.
"Something tells me you'd put them in their place."
Her hand is on the railing as she peers at him, coy features twisting into a smirk. "Flattery won't let you steal that puck."
Then she's speeding, like a bullet, straight for his net. Levi mimics her move from before, coming to stand in front of the net as she halts. Her eyes move down to his feet, than up to his eyes. Strangely enough, that order of observation is exactly how he teaches people to play.
Her fingers move, and she aims left. Before she can shoot, he's already moving to block her.
Victory shines on her face she she hits the puck to the right.
For a moment, Levi can't even wrap his mind around it. No one, no teammate or opponent or underling, has ever gotten past him like that.
"Jesus Christ," he finds himself muttering under his breath, "maybe you should be on the team."
Again she's grinning, spinning up to him to hook her fingers into the pockets of his suit jacket. "Trust me, you wouldn't want me."
One second, Levi's staring at her, mesmerized.
The next, his lips are on her's, as if to show her just how much he really does want her.
The tension in his stomach snaps, doing the only think he's wanted to do for months, aside from kicking Jock off the team. A flare of annoyance sets off an alarm in his head—he shouldn't be thinking of Jock at a time like this.
The kiss is brief, though, because she immediately pulls away, sliding back with a guilty expression.
Now that's not the look he'd want someone to have after he just kissed them.
"I...the game is in two days," he stupidly reiterates, "I was hoping you'd come watch."
Her tongue darts out to wet her lips nervously. "Levi, I—I can't. I'm sorry." Letting the stick drop, she skates back, putting more distance between them. The rink feels colder than usual. "I really like you, but I...I can't."
There's nothing more he can say as she steps out, hurried and clumsy. All he can do is watch from afar, cussing himself out in his head. The one person he'd felt at ease with all these months, and he had to go and screw things up.
Before she leaves, in a moment of hesitation, she turns back to face him. "Good luck with the game, Levi. Wish Eren and Jean and Jock all my best."
And then she's gone.
The rink and stadium are now completely empty, with only the empty seats and his own gear strewn around to mock him with how lonely they look.
But instead of focusing on that, Levi only has one question.
When had he told her Jock's name?

The 40 lives with the Neanderthal tribe (The 40 x Ice Age)
Tumblr media
----
@the-ravenclaw-werewolf, @purplemochi20055, @hulkchloron99, and @r3dp4nd4ch1ld
----
So...it's finally here!
The 40 have met the Neanderthal tribe and live amongst them for a whole week.
Thanks to the "all speak" gift bestowed upon them by the Entity, they can understand what language the Neanderthals communicate in.
In that short time, they taught the tribe many things and befriended the leader and his family. The 40 show them how to toil the land, grow edible plants and grains, and fish in the streams. The female members of The 40 would teach the concept and importance of matrilineality (which Nadia greatly appreciated despite already being treated well in the tribe due to being the "wife" of their leader) and that any female they sire or take in their tribe would be treated and taught to also carry out the duties of the male hunters. Most importantly, they would teach the tribe how to greatly respect the animals they hunt and kill for food by making it mandatory that all the remains of the animals that are unedible will be given a burial of sorts.
In the miscellaneous times, Levi would often converse with Runar, Senku working on pottery to make cups and containers for food and water, the woman and girls (aside from Emma) politely rejecting the "proposals" of the male hunters, Killua conversing with Nadia as they work on weaving baskets and making rope, and Emma playing with the infant Roshan by making a flower crown.
However, the vengeful Soto and his pack of Sabertooth tigers are undaunted by these "strange humans and the walking wolf". The plan to attack the tribe will continue, but they have to re-evaluate their initial plan due to seeing the obvious danger of just rushing in at night.

A quick little thing I wrote to make both of your days a bit better @leyyvi @levmada
Tw; period mention
Huddled up beneath the covers, you blink awake at the sound of a door creaking open. You’re warm, tangled up in a twisted mess of sheets. They’re sweaty, nearly soaked, but you can’t even summon the energy to care. Head pounding, tummy stabbing sharp jabs angrily along your insides, you don’t even want to move. It seems like too much work to even lift your head and open your eyes.
“How are you feeling?”
“Mhmmng,” you groan, burying your head into your cocoon of sheets.
“That bad huh,” Levi says with a sympathetic hum. “Do you want me to keep the lights off?”
“Yesss,” you hiss sharply. With how much your head is pounding, the light does nothing but sting.
You hear foot sleeps approach the bedside, sock coated feet a soft sound against the carpet. “Do you have your heating pad?”
“S’ cold,” you mumble, barely opening your eyes to see his approach. “Too much work to turn back on.”
Right by your side, Levi clicks his tongue. “It’s just a switch, here.” With a click, you can immediately feel the pad start to heat up again, already warm against your aching abdomen.
“Thanks,” you blink up at him, noticing that he’s still in his work clothes. A finely pressed suit, the tie hanging loose around his neck.
“Shouldn’t you be at work?” You don’t even want to attempt turning on your phone screen, the device sitting not far to the side of your bed. The blinding electronic light will no doubt sear into your already burning skull. It can’t be that far past noon, you weren’t dozing too long.
“I’m working from home for the rest of the day, Erwin can deal,” Levi explains evenly. That’s sweet. You can see worry in his silver eyes, the emotion deep and buried. It’s something only you can really spot, the sheer familiarity giving you a glimpse behind his stoic facade.
His eyes bounce around your face, his frown becoming a scowl as he drinks in your distress. Raising a hand, his palm cups the side of your face, the thumb smoothing softly along your cheek. “Are you still nauseous? Do you want me to get you something?”
“It’s better,” you admit truthfully. The nausea is always worse first thing in the morning, fading a bit as the day goes on. Why do you have to go through this every month?!?
“Hmm,” Levi hums, sliding his hand up your cheek and into your hair, lightly ruffling the strands at the top of your head. They’re sweaty, all of you is, but Levi doesn’t even comment on it. It should be embarrassing, to have made such a mess of your shared bed, but Levi’s more than used to it. Still, a searing heat lingers high along your cheek bones. Hopefully you haven’t leaked onto the bedsheets this time.
“How about something light to start? There’s some yogurt in the fridge?” Levi asks, his thumb smoothing into the salty line of a tear streak, left right below your right eye. You hadn’t even realized you’d actually cried earlier, when the cramps were particularly devastating.
“That sounds nice,” you hum, leaning into his warm palm. You almost don’t want him to walk away.
“I’ll get you some Advil too.”
You almost want to whimper as his touch falls away. Watching him twist on the balls of his feet, turning to walk away, makes your heart ache. Quickly rising to grab his arm, you ask, “Can you hold me when you get back?”
“Of course,” Levi confirms with a soft smile, patting the top of your head. “I picked up a pint of your favorite ice cream on the way home.”
“You’re so sweet,” you sigh, heart fluttering happily in your chest. It’s as if all the pain of today, of all week, is inconsequential. You don’t want to let go of his arm. “What did I ever do to deserve you?”
Levi clicks his tongue, his lips quivering in an embarrassed warble. “Just- just lie back down, I’ll be back with the pain meds.”
“And the ice cream?” At the thought of your favorite cool treat, your lingering nausea seems to have vanished. “with rainbow sprinkles?”
“Tch, no. You need some real nutrition first,” Levi corrects softly, finally pulling away from your clasp. Gripping your shoulder softly, he pushes you back down onto the mattress, fluffing up the pillow behind your head. Several of the twisted up sheets are thrown back over you. Just touching the sweat-soaked fabric, you can see his nose scrunch up in disgust. “The ice cream is for later. We’ll watch a movie together on the couch while the bedsheets are in the wash.”
Watching him leave the room, not so discreetly wiping a hand on his slacks, you laugh, despite the ache in your insides. “Typical.”
