Measure for Measure (1970). Ian’s Angelo has been described as the most terrific performance ever seen in this role. Between underlying threat and insidious seduction, his Angelo has the appearance of an angel and the behaviour of a demon. This production is remained famous by the intense and physical interpretation of its cast. It has been reported that Ian’s several exits off stage were accompanied by a thunderous applause. A memorable performance that I would have liked to see.

Virgin New Adventures Reviews: The Dying Days by Lance Parkin (or, "The Final Cut")
Should you listen to the Aquanettas?
Who is Edward Greyhaven supposed to resemble?
How will the New Adventures bid farewell to the Doctor?
Should Watership Down and Space Jam be watched as a double feature?
These are just some of the questions answered by The Dying Days, or more accurately by my typically obstruse brand of review. Check it out, folks.

Movie #1,049 • WATCHLIST WEDNESDAYS
Having recently review Knowing for my Nicolas Cage series, I was weary heading into this Alex Proyas joint. But I am pleased to report that this is totally worth a watch and earns its status as a cult classic. For a movie called Dark City, let this be a lesson for contemporary filmmakers in how to LIGHT a film, if nothing else.
The plot is somewhat convoluted (but never that confusing). If you can hang tight through the opening act, which is just an onslaught of information, then you'll be fine. Because it's in that onslaught — some of the most creative and interesting visual storytelling I've come across — where the rewards lie.

The original UK House of Cards series does not get the love it deserves. The anti-hero is a psychopathic villain but also so delightful to watch, he gets such a kick out of his malicious scheming, you can't help but love him. If you liked the American version at all, give the original a go.
Here's an old and brief trailer:
