Oh my gosh, this had me wheezing.

Kill It - LN

Bugs and insects have an attraction to Lando that he really wishes they didn't. Now usually it happens outside.

But today, a wasp has found it's way into his gaming room.

"There's a wasp the size of a bird!" Lando exclaims through his headset. "Eyeing me up, flying around my room!"

The battle goes on through the gaming stream with plenty of documentation of Lando's ongoing battle to defeat the wasp. His weapons being a hoover which the wasp manages to keep grip on the wall to not be sucked away, a shoe which does nothing to hit it and screaming as he tries to find safety without completely bailing on the stream.

"Is y/n in there screaming too?" Charles asks having joined the stream slightly later and not all linked up with what's happening.

"No. She's not in the-ahhhh!"

As if summoned from thin air, y/n finally appears looking alarmed and holding a baseball bat. Clearly ready to fight off an intruder that she assumed was there due to hearing her boyfriend scream as it he was being tortured.

Though if you asked Lando if this was a matter of torture he might just argue that's exactly what it is.

"There you are! Where have you been? There's a huge wasp that's been trying to kill me for an hour!" Lando cries out making his girlfriend settle a little and roll her eyes. "I need you to kill it."

"I thought you were being murdered! Our neighbours have probably called the police think I've been left home along and been attacked. How do you even get your voice that high?" Y/n questions with a bit of laughter then sighing and shaking her head as she nudges him to the side a little. "Move out the way, if I'm going to kill it then you need to move."

Lando huffs as he hears the rest of the guys on stream laughing since his mic clearly picked up on her words.

"Uhh...oh god it is huge." Y/n mumbles wrinkling her nose as she closes in on it before she spots the hoover. "Oh please tell me you did not try and hoover it up."

"Pfff...no. I was just...cleaning before the stream." Lando lies before hearing everyone in his ears shouting to correct him. "Baby, please. Can you get it?"

"Ok, I'm just thinking." Y/n mumbles trying to approach this with outcome which comes with the least chance of her ending up being stung. Especially since it is a huge wasp, it'd probably feel more like getting stabbed.

Eventually she decides it's just going to be a matter of hitting it with something. Clearly needing to be more successful than her boyfriend's attempt. Definitely not the bat she brought in here, that will cause damage to the wall for certain.

"Ah, baby! It's moving!" Lando exclaims latching onto her arm desperately.

"I know, it's moving. I can't do anything if you're digging your nails into my arm though." Y/n groans trying to shake him off her arm which makes Lando whine a little.

After finally being released, she grabs a magazine and rolls it up while feeling Lando watch her with silent focus.

It takes a couple swings and even after knocking it on the floor and stunning it from the initial hit, she has to hit it again to actually kill it.

"Yes! It's dead. She got it! She got it!" Lando exclaims in joy then jumping on her in a hug. "Ah, thank you. It was attacking me this whole time."

"You're welcome, nobody attacks my man. Alright, I'm going to unpack the food and make something to eat." Y/n sighs before smiling when he stops her from talking in order to kiss her.

"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I love you. Thank you-I won't be long either. I'm just gonna let them know the wasp is dead." Lando grins while she hums and nods then using the magazine unrolled to scoop up the unholy sized wasp and walking out, though not without yet another kiss.

Y/n leaves while Lando sits back down letting out a heavy breath in a sigh of relief.

"Y/n killed it?" Matt questions making Lando hum.

"Yeah, I swear that woman has so much courage. No fear." Lando states then pausing. "Apart from that one time I took her to a haunted house thing for Halloween and I made her cry by not letting her run away."

"That has got to be the cruelest thing I've ever heard." Matt gawps, jaw dropped. "That wasp was definitely karma for that-I'm actually surprised you're not single from that."

"Trust me, that was almost a breaking point." Lando giggles before shifting. "I should go though, she's going to be annoyed when she finds out I told everyone she cried at a haunted house right after she killed a wasp for me."

"At least she did not spend an hour screaming through the mic." Charles states before they all exchange goodbyes and Lando logs off heading out to find y/n making fettuccine alfredo which is a favourite of hers.

Her arms wrap around her waist and he sighs leaning his chin on her shoulder while she remains focused on her task. Though she shifts her weight a little to lean back on him.

"This smells good, baby." Lando states as she stirs the pasta. "I owe you for saving me."

"Yeah, you do. But you can repay me another day." Y/n laughs earning a grin that she can feel radiating from him. "I love you."

"I love you too."

For a long time, one of my coworkers would buy these instructional videotapes. Dozens of them. The subject? How to win at casino games. Grinning, glad-handing, well-dressed men and women would tell you about all the blind spots, short cuts, and vulnerabilities of the gambling industry. They'd hook you on a flashy commercial, and before long, you'll have bought the whole 5-tape set.

I've never been one for gambling. Well, I guess you could say that driving a rotting motor vehicle at giga-illegal rates of speed with several glaring flaws and safety issues is "gambling," but I certainly don't like you phrasing it like that when we were having such a nice conversation. In the few times I've gone to a casino in my life, I immediately lost my entire budget and then quit. It's nice to not have an addiction to something, you know?

With age and perspective, I've determined that I was simply lucky. The worst thing that could have happened to me is that I win on my first trip. I'd have convinced myself that I could win again, that I have some kind of inherent right to the riches of the casino bosses, and then I'd lose all my money chasing that original rush. My coworker, who we'll call Stan because that is the name he legally got it changed to in order to skip town – I don't deadname people, unlike the police and debt collectors – was not as lucky as me. He won, and won big.

Watching the videotapes after he fled was sort of instructive. Because there were so many, and because process servers knew where he lived, he would often bring the tapes to work and watch them on our break-room VCR. I'd come in at lunch and catch a few minutes of them while I was waiting for our wheezing Sanyo microwave to finish shooting gluons through a can of soup. The appeal to orderliness, to a "system," was undeniably exciting. To believe yourself in possession of a unique set of knowledge, despite all evidence to the contrary, must have been nice.

Too bad I'm nothing like that, an entirely rational human being. When I buy fifty- and sixty-year-old shit box cars, I know exactly what I'm doing. I have internalized the system that they operate under, and even when they surprise me by draining my entire wallet into their gaping maw, I'll just win it all back the next week by scoring an excellent low-ball deal that will end up needing no maintenance. Stick that in your car payment and smoke it, suckers. I'm on the way up.

I've never been that into Taylor Swift, I listened to her early stuff as a kid, her country albums and early pop, but her newer stuff for the most part isn't my jam

That said, I find the whole thing hilarious and adorable and I wheeze laughing for like 5 minutes anytime I see something new pop up in the news, because it's just so wild to me

The Chiefs were so so bad at football throughout my childhood, you'd think Kansas City didn't even have a football team with how little people talked about them. They were forgettable, one of those teams you can't even remember the name of unless you're actually a football fan.

Of course, for the last few years they've been on fire and it has been so exciting! I love all the players, have had a Kelce jersey since their first Super Bowl. But my brain still hasn't processed that they're actually good and known on a national level now, so it almost feels like my cousin or something is suddenly dating a world famous pop star 😂😂😂 surreal

All that to say, I love it, I hope it genuinely works out, she seems like exactly the type of woman he's been looking for. I love seeing the Swifties learning about football too. I genuinely laughed for like 10 minutes when I got the idea to see if tumblr had caught on and saw the fanfiction 😂 there was one that started out with him and his brother's podcast and the way they wrote his voice and common phrases was fantastic and hilarious. "Alright nah!" Love their podcast, and his brother. Last season was fun, but this is the most fun NFL season I've experienced, thanks to Taylor Swift, the Kelce brothers, and trying fantasy football for the first time.

Also the video of her running up to kiss him after her concert had me grinning ear to ear. Even my brother texted me a link to it and said "kicking my wittle feetsies at this" 🤣

The news has been such a dumpster fire lately, it's nice to have something sweet in it. I think at the beginning the broadcasters were leaning a little too hard into it and I hope people can respect their privacy outside the spotlight, but sadly that's probably unlikely with all the paparazzi. The fun killers who comment hate everywhere need to let people enjoy things

Oh thank you... and oh, yes. I didn't include him because I knew no one would know who he is, but I love one special, incredibly charming boy... King Off-Putting himself... Bruno :)

He is so very... uncomfortable to be around.

I had one line referencing Bruno and Danny in "Flypaper" but hhh... Dead Boy Duo, my beloved... I want them to be friends so bad, I want them to be sassy partners in the field, I want this with all my soul. They're brothers in spirit... Their moms have the same voice actor... Please, they would be so funny together.

I know there are oodles of fictional spy agencies in media, but I've always been a Bruno the Kid fan at heart. Ever since I first watched Danny Phantom, I've loved the idea of Globe getting in touch with Danny post-"Phantom Planet" and inviting him into the agency... Sometimes Bruno's villains canonically die instead of going to jail and I think Bruno and Danny would be a silly pair. Two "dead" (they got better!) cartoon boys goofing off and takin' names.

Specifically, Chick E. Love would have a flippin' field day burning holes in the Ghost Zone, unleashing wave after wave of ghosts into the world, and I just really want Bruno to do his "If I ever use a spy gadget the way it's intended I will die" schtick while Danny keeps dumping all the Fenton ghost-hunting gear on him...

I want the sassy boys to drive everyone up the wall. Bruno tolerated being bullied for about 5 seconds and then ruined that kid's life slkdjf. Cheerfully told Cy what he wanted to put on his tombstone. He does not mess around. I want Bruno to straight-up kill a man again and Danny to lose his mind.

Bruno is the boy who ran gleefully towards an electric fence with intent to climb it. He literally targeted HIMSELF with a missile in an attempt to win a chess game. I want the crossover joy of Danny throwing himself at everything that might kill Bruno and Bruno just Does Not Sweat It... Stupid.

Anyway yeah I have very normal feelings about "Dead Boy Walking" as an episode. Bruno's enemies pinning him down and injecting a terminal disease in his system... Bruno stumbling around until he hallucinates his best friend giving him self-care advice... Bruno quietly sitting down and staring into the void, separating himself from the ongoing conversation, instead of engaging in his usual banter... Boy crosses Australia on borrowed time, his legs give out beneath him at the worst moment, he's still wheezing about how he's going to do everything in his power to save others, just a little kid lying on the cold floor alone while Sydney gloats that he only has minutes left to live... His enemies making out over his unmoving body... I am so normal about this episode.

I just want Bruno and Danny to be friends :) I think they would vibe with each other even though they'd both want to bonk the other on the head. I so very badly want to see the first moment Danny realizes "Oh... Oh, this guy's, like... serious. He will kill people if I take my eyes off him." sldkfj Bruno's so intense and I love him. Danny is so tired and I love him. I want to see the first moment Bruno blearily wakes up to realize Danny just saved him from a ghost's revenge attack in the middle of the night. I love the Dead Boy Duo.

I only threw one line about these two hanging out in "Flypaper," but in my heart they spent the whole convention together because they're co-workers... they are buddies, your honor.

I do not think WordGirl would like Bruno at all because he comes off as a smarmy, know-it-all creep to those who aren't familiar with his sense of humor... Kid Math should not be left alone with him because he's very impressionable and Bruno is a terrible influence slkjdf.

Here's a little deleted scene I had:

I also had a loose draft for a scene of WordGirl and Super Why getting milkshakes with some other hero friends when Kid Math finds them again. WordGirl greets him like "Oh, how's your day going?" and Kid Math is just... very overwhelmed from his experience of interacting with two fast-paced sassy kids while he's still struggling to grasp the concept of superhero banter. Like. Bruno and Danny would destroy him. Blow his mind. There's no coming back from that.

So yeah, Bruno was definitely at the convention... I just didn't show him apart from that one-liner about him hanging out with Danny. "Flypaper" was really fun to write. I don't plan to do a crossover like this again any time soon, but the convention was a cool setting to explore and I'm glad you enjoyed! <3

One of my favorite stupid jokes in "Flypaper" is that Romeo was being a troublemaker in the daytime and WordGirl asked if he was "even allowed to do that" since he's supposed to be a "nighttime villain" in the PJ Masks lore... But tbh I watched a lot of Romeo clip compilations before this story and ?? apparently it's just a thing that Romeo regularly commits crime during the day and the PJ Masks literally hang back and wait until nightfall before they fight him?? That's SO funny to me.

(I also don't understand when the PJ Masks sleep and if anyone has the answer, please drop it in my inbox because I'd love to know but I also don't want to binge the series over this, ha ha)

I also wanted to make a joke about Alphapig being 5 years younger than the rest of the Super Readers because the amount I lost my mind when I saw that on the [unsourced] Super Why wiki was indescribable. POV: One of your friends is a princess, at least one is in college, and you're starting high school.

(I'm dying at the idea of three 10-year-olds running around Storybrook Village and there's a 5-year-old tagging along with them. The mental image of 7-year-old Whyatt taking a 3 or 4-year-old pig under his wing as his new friend... Such a good boy.)

After Tobey launched Romeo off his robot, I had WordGirl catch him, but I'd originally hoped to have Kick Buttowski catch him because I thought writing cool skateboard rescue mission would be fun. It seemed like it would just be shoving in an extra character who didn't need to be there, though, and it risked dragging down the scene with introductions and descriptions, but in my heart, Kick was at the convention too. Extreme.

I think another of my fave dumb jokes was just... WordGirl approaching the superhero panel she's supposed to speak on, she looks out into the crowd, but then she's like "Oh no the entire Paw Patrol are watching me, this is so much pressure."

Nothing to see here, just Baby Dog Squad taking notes... I still think about that randomly throughout the day and giggle. I love this 'fic.

This time last year, I was completely bogged down and overwhelmed by college work. Fearful and uncertain of the future because of covid, fearful and uncertain of the future because our country was teetering on the edge of four more years of fascism. Checking the news every couple minutes - are the votes in yet? Will we see any relief to make this horrible year mean anything but death? To get away from the stress of papers and assignments and the world at large I go for a walk. Come back. Go to the bathroom and check Tumblr from the toilet (as you do) and I see... huh. that's weird. that's two consecutive posts abou- no, make that three consecutive posts about destiel. That's odd. I have some supernatural mutuals but this is unprecedented. Why is everyone talking about this. Let me see....

There is a strange kind of comfort in the awful-but-predictable, is there not?

We have, what. A minute? To absorb all this?

Then the rumor about Putin breaks, and that's when things actually start to get interesting.

That was the first time anyone learned about world events (albeit false ones) through the "I love you" meme. Destiel killed Putin. "I'll see you in hell you stupid fruit." It's at this point my mom knocks on the bathroom door and asks if I'm okay.

It's a fair question, bless her. I was making these awful, uncontrollable noises; wheezing and squeaking with laughter that was this (🤏🏻) close to tears. I assure her I'm fine. She doesn't 100% buy it (fair), but leaves me to it.

Cause how could I possibly explain any of this? "Well you see mom back in 2008 there was this show called supernatural and this one guy was in hell..." Like, no. Even if I could recount every event that lead up to this moment with perfect accuracy and coherence it still wouldn't make any sense. It was too big. There was too much. Hell, I lived it and I'm still not sure it makes any sense.

But I know what I was feeling. I know my face was bright red and my eyes were streaming, I know I couldn't stop giggling and occasionally going "oh my god" in utter disbelief. I had never been drunk or high before but I wondered if that's what it felt like. I felt like a participant in a Dionysian mystery. I was giddy. I was euphoric. If I could bottle the exact combination of hormones coursing through my bloodstream that night, I'd make a goddamn fortune. I knew there was no fucking chance of me focusing on school again for the rest of the night and we still don't know who's going to be leading our country for the next four years.

And the best thing about this, I think, is that I know the rest of you were feeling it too. I've seen countless posts and replies and memes talking about experiencing this night and how utterly insane everything was. How utterly insane we felt. And that has engendered a deep, compelling fondness for my fellow hellsite users in me, one that will never be forgotten.

Cause even if I can't explain that night to anyone I know, I know you get it.

Chapter 6 the jealousy and mystery of the mystery singer

this chapter might have some minor sunny x hitch but don't worry it's mostly about pipp and hitch )

Hitch's pov

It was a windy and foggy evening just a few minutes from almost getting caught as I kept running to the Sheriff Station as fast as I could go . With the sun setting on the majestic bay at the beach, with colors of orange, purple, and especially pink as I felt my heart beating from the close encounter I had from pipp finding out that I was the mystery singer, as I had just arrived at the Sheriff Station and closed the door before taking a few breaths before taking the cloak off. " phew that was a close one no one must know who I am at least not yet" I said to myself as I sat

at my desk unlocking my phone as it had a wallpaper of pipp with a filter surrounded by hearts

Hitch " oh pipp , will I ever be brave enough to tell you how I really feel? " I asked myself as I was looking at the wall paper filter as I then looked around seeing a blank piece of paper as I had an idea." Hmm perhaps I could write a poem ? Yeah if I'm too scared to tell her face to face I could just write her a poem " I said as I started having second doubts " oh but what if she doesn't like me in the same way? Minutes later after the 4 of them got everything they needed to search for their friend hitch sunny, pipp, zipp, and izzy started making their way through the deep dark thick forest for their lost friend as izzy was throwing glitter on the ground to help by making a path from the entrance until they stopped as zipp saw light by a camp fire as the 4 friends reached hitch's campsite

Zipp" hmmm" she took a few minutes looking around the area before turning back " yep this is definitely hitch's campsite now we just need to find him I say we split up and search each area pipp and I will search from the air while I search east and pipp searches west while sunny you and izzy search north and south and we meet up here in an hour to see if we can find anything

Izzy" I'm on it " she smiled as she headed south still making a trail of glitter to find her way

I was walking along the northern section of the forest with a flashlight in my hand as i turned it on feeling really worried about hitch as he was my best friend when we were young as I started remembering how we would do things together as I couldn't help but feel butterflies in my stomach as I felt a small redness forming in my cheeks" oh my god" I said to myself realizing how I was feeling " a am I developing a crush on hitch" I asked myself as I started to worry" no no no I I can't be falling for my best friend besides h he already has a crush on pipp I mean what kind of friend would I be if I was jealous " I asked myself as I was then snapped back to reality as I heard a rustle sound in a bush" h hitch is that you?" I asked myself as I shined my flashlight on the bush as a squirrel came out as I sighed in relief as I then went back to being worried " oh where are you hitch?

After I had mailed the letter I made for pipp I was calmly humming a song in my head as I had reached the Sheriff Station as I put on the same black cloak on as I went to the woods to do a little camping as a few minutes passed and I decided to go exploring to gather some berries for a few hours as I then heard voices of sunny , izzy, zipp, and pipp as I first decided to follow sunny as I hid behind a few thick bushes and started vocalizing before I started singing another song

Meanwhile in the western section I was flying through the air thinking I could find hitch faster from the air as I soon felt my wings getting tired as I soon landed on the ground as I took out my phone and turned it's flashlight on as I noticed some footprints heading deeper in the forest as I started to panic about never being able to see Hitch again or if something bad happen to him" I thought as I took a few breaths before calming down as I took out my phone as I started to livestream again .

Sunny" no I searched everywhere I mean I did hear a rustle sound in the bushes but it was just a squirrel, then I heard the same music as pipp did before in her last livestream I tried to ask who it was but he just ran away so I tried to follow him but I soon lost him I it was like he was there but then he was gone in a flash and all I found was this " she said pulling out a bag with a bit of aquamarine colored hair from his tail as pipp's eyes widen as zipp took the back to examine

Pipp" gasp sunny you saw the mystery singer ?" she asked in full excitement ." So did I, my wings were starting to get tired so I decided ti continue my search from the ground and I did a livestream so my fans can tell me if they saw hitch back in town when I noticed a path of footprints leading deeper in the woods until I found this" she said pulling out hitch's badge

She asked as the mystery singer used his earth pony magic and wrapped his arm around the vine he made before swinging on it as he did a double backflip landing right on his feet in front of the 4 friends muh to their surprise " w wait is he actually going to actually face off tackle a beast like that is he out of his mind?" She asked in pure shock

Sunny" I I think he is" she said as she turned to pipp" pipp make sure your recording and livestreaming this is going to be great" she said as pipp started livestreaming.

Hitch's pov

I was on my way back to maretime bay, from the forest as I suddenly heard a loud roar coming from it as I then realized my friends were still in there looking for me as I instantly turned around running back into the woods to save them as I had decided to still have the cloak around hiding my body only a little different as I had a mask over my eyes and also a ninja suit under my cloak so they still wouldn't be able to see me as I stood confidently up in a tree branch getting Zipp's and the others attention

Zipp" hey everyone look it's the mystery singer " I said as we all started cheering as I noticed him glaring at the the manticorn" Wait he's not thinking what I think he's thinking is he?I asked as I soon got my answer as I saw pipp livestreaming " Uh pipp seriously! Your livestreaming this? What if our mom sees this? Or what if this becomes too mature for a young audience

Pipp" whaaat? " I asked in annoyance as I just scoffed at my sister " oh puh lease zipp relax for one thing it was sunny's idea to live stream this two if anything gets too intense I always make sure the content is rated 18+ and 3 don't worry I'm sure the mystery singer will protect us

Hitch's pov

Pipp" uugghh where is he this party is all for him and his honor  I mean who doesn't show up at a party in their honor?" I asked desperately  looking through the crowd " if the mystery singer doesn't show  this party will be a complete disaster " I said bringing  my hooves to the side of my face

Sure anon, I don't really know what kind of facts you want but I can give you the platelet spiel lol

Basically, platelets are the part of your blood that form clots and prevent bleeding. They are super important for cancer patients and for surgery patients, especially pediatric surgeries

Since platelets clot, they can't be refrigerated or frozen and they only last 5 days after lab processing, so blood banks always need them. always. every 15 seconds someone needs a platelet transfusion in the US (I think Haha)

The blood typing for platelets and plasma is kind of reversed, so AB is the universal donor, type A is the next best (can go to A and O), then type B (can go to B and O). Type O is still kinda needed because it's good to have exact matches esp for pedi patients but we normally focus on the other blood types for recruiting

The actual process is similar to regular blood donation, but you'll be hooked up to a tube that brings the blood into an apheresis machine. Basically, this is a centrifuge that separates out all the parts of your blood, and we just take what we're looking for (platelets, plasma or red cells) and gives you the rest back, along with some saline and anticoagulant. (the anticoag can sometimes cause side effects so definitely add some calcium into your diet if you plan to donate, whether that's supplements or calcium rich foods like nuts, beans, lentils, oatmeal, sardines.)

The process for platelets takes about 90 minutes to 2 hours so it can def be a time commitment... it's that way because they take up less than 1% of your blood volume, so we kinda have to go through and find them all. places that have a ton of whole blood donors can pool platelets that get separated from whole blood donation but for my org doing it on the apheresis machine is the only way we can collect platelets

To qualify for platelet donation, you need to have a nice big vein that can handle the return, a good platelet pre-count so that we know you have enough to donate, and if you have ever been pregnant, you need to test for Human Leukocyte Antigen. This is an antigen in your plasma that is totally harmless to you, but can cause a dangerous reaction to the recipient of a platelet or plasma transfusion. Usually blood centers can do the testing during a whole blood donation or separately by just taking a little sample.

So like, if any of that sounds manageable definitely try out platelet donation! or whole blood, thats only like 10 mins in the chair! my veins suck but I've done both and even though I hate needles it wasn't that bad haha. I'm about to try double red cells in a few weeks
