I read a post where OP listed off all of the reasons why they don't see Mallyuu being possible in canon and believes that Malleus would be in a politically arranged marriage to a powerful fae of high status. I strongly disagree with OP. Even as someone who isn't a huge Malleus stan or has their Yuu shipped with him.
Okay, sure. If we're looking at that possibility from a strictly dogmatic historical and realistic lense, then I agree that statement would be correct. But we're not talking about the possibility of a real life marriage for a crown prince here, but about a fictional one in a Disney game. In that case, I think it's possible. Because...
I don't think game has such a law actually put in place. The game never mentioned it. The closest thing are that stupid council, who could be overthrown or put in their place, and Lilia saying that "Malleus can't enter a marriage lightly" during the Ghost Marriage event. (Far as I'm aware, I've tuned out most of Book 7 since it's mostly just one stupidly long flashback.)
If such a law did exist and Malleus was in a canonical arranged marriage, wouldn't the game have brought it up by now? (Yana sucks at foreshadowing and laying down this shit, but come on! That's too much even for her. xD)
Yuu brings some things to the table. They are human. Malleus marrying them would help with diplomatic relations between the fae and the humans. With how isolated the fae are in that world, they kinda need it. They also survived several overblots and would've saved Malleus' life, which is worth something.
I'm pretty sure that his grandmother could pull a Sultan and just change the law if such a thing is in place. She's one of the most powerful fae in the world, so what she says goes. She could easily put that council in their place if she must.
Dragon eggs in canon can only be hatched by true love, either platonic or romantic. (Even if I think that whole thing is silly, but that's beside the point.) If Malleus was in an arranged loveless marriage, he would never be able to produce an heir like the council wants, even if he has an AFAB/cis female partner. If they want any kids from him and he marries an AFAB person/cis female, it must be someone he loves like Yuu. If he marries someone AMAB or cis male, then he can just adopt or use a surrogate.
If we bring mythology/folklore into this, it's even more possible. The fae criteria for marriage is focused more on how talented and attractive the human partner is, that's it. There are plenty of stories where fae "spirit away" normal human women and men away to marry fae royalty. I imagine the fae in TWST are similar.
As for the life span thing, I think either Malleus will pull an Edward and let Yuu age normally or have the human partner drink fae aging potion. (I went with the latter in my own writing in a general sense. Again, shipping my Yuu with Jamil.)
Even if he was in one, he would find a way out of it. One of the biggest tropes that the Disney brand stands for is "true love conquers all". While the form of that love changes, that idea remains the same. The game shattering that by making Malleus be doomed to be in a loveless arranged marriage forever would go against what the brand stands for, so it seems highly unlikely. The fact that the game is also tapping into the otome market makes it even less so.
So, yeah. While I don't think MallYuu will ever be canon, I think a union between them is quite possible. It's fanfiction. Do whatever you want.

I kinda wanna write about sexuality in chainsaw man and how it plays into the stories and characters without ever being "explicit" about any given characters sexuality but it would also probably mean rereading all of csm which I do not want to do right now ! Instead heres a tierlist and brief thoughts and we can see how much of this changes by the time I get around to the full thing.
Tumblr media
-Anyone showing interest in Makima (outside of denji) won't be counted towards their sexuality because pretty much all of them were being controlled by her to find her sexually attractive. -Bi Aki is totally fair, however he never seems to show interest in women outside of Makima. Despite Himeno's active romantic advances he never take her up on it. Angel is his only somewhat romantic relationship. -Pochita is the one who conjured up that image of Angel in lingerie. no further comment. -I've seen pretty decent arguments for Denji's misandry being used to cover up homoerotic feelings + the fact beam touching him makes him very uncomfortable most of the time. It might be explored, It might not be. Who knows. -I could probably write an entire fucking essay on whatever the fuck is wrong with Makima because there is way too much to unpack there. Does her manipulation of others into them feeling love for her stem from lust or just lack of emotional closeness? It's probably the latter but with the way she has them act it could be the former aswell. It could be that she can't even comprehend true platonic love due to having been raised without it and so her only way to see love is sexual (would be a near possible parallel to denji). It's a fucking lot I'm not touching with a ten foot poll cause this is supposed to be short. -Power and the Doll Devil are definitively have sexualities but I'm not sure what they are. lmk if you have thoughts (supporting evidence would be nice but vibes are fine tbh)

I don’t think that it’s talked about enough how weird the fandom is for pitting Hope against Caroline. Some people have an obsession in making Hope and Caroline compete for Klaus’s love and affection. People claim that Klaus loves Caroline more and that he would pick her over Hope every time. They will make up fake situations in which Klaus can only save one person, and he of course picks Caroline over Hope.
I think everyone knows that Klaus loves Hope more - that’s not really debatable. But I honestly don’t get this weird obsession over making Klaus pick Caroline. This obsession is strange, odd, and kinda disturbing.
Hope’s not one of Klaus’s love interests trying to steal him away from Caroline. She’s his literal daughter. Imagine if a stepmom got angry about the fact that her husband loves his daughter more than her - everyone would be justifiably weirded out. Maybe it’s just me but I wouldn’t want to be with a guy who would pick me over his own children.
And anyway, why does it even have to be a competition? Why can’t Klaus love Hope while also loving Caroline? Why does Klaus have to love Caroline more than Hope?
Of course, this obsession isn’t solely based on Caroline and Klaus shippers. All of Klaus’s love interests are somehow always in competition with Hope for Klaus’s love. It’s very important for the some people in fandom that Klaus loves his love interest more than he does his daughter for some reason.
And I find it odd that it’s mostly this fandom that does this weird competition between child and potential stepparent In OUPT, no one is said that Emma Swan loved Hook more than her son. In The Walking Dead, no one claimed that Rick loved Michonne more than his son.
And even in this fandom, this weird competition is only between Hope and Klaus’s love interest. No one is demanding that Caroline love Klaus more than Lizzie or Josie. No one is claiming that Hayley loved Elijah more than Hope.
Its just kinda creepy to me how people will go on rants and say that Klaus loves another woman over his daughter when the love for his daughter is completely different from whatever romantic love he feels for some other woman.
This may come as bashing towards Klaus’s ships. Really, don't ignore this. Don't blame me if you get your feelings hurt.
People have been bitter about Klaus having a daughter since the baby plot was introduced because they knew it would mean his priorities/love would shift.
Sure, Klaus says he intends to wait for Caroline however long it takes (a fake promise he didn't intend to accomplish, in my opinion, especially because once Caroline finally admitted they had something going on he said he would leave and never come back), but that changed when Hope came into the picture because then Caroline wouldn't be his greatest love, his favorite person, etc etc. It's not a surprise klaroline fans often think Caroline was the woman he loved the most romantically even when their interactions prove otherwise, and it's not something new either how much they hate whenever a new woman is introduced in his life (at least in the romantic aspect). Cami is the biggest proof of this.
Parents often love their children more than anything and Klaus did love Hope more than everything (I'm not gonna have the same debate again, if you think he loved Hayley/Caroline/Cami more grow up, seriously), even if he didn't act like it. He isn't a good father, obviously, but at least his daughter was the most important thing in his life. Seeing as Cami isn't a really big Klaus’s ship, Hayley and Caroline are, in klayley/klaroline shippers eyes, the women Klaus loved the most when it took like three seasons for both relationships to get along.
It's canon Klaus was sexually attracted to Hayley even in season three (I believe it was stated somewhere by Michael Narducci, but it was obvious anyway), and he clearly was attracted to Caroline too, and I'm pretty sure both girls felt the same way as they literally had sex, but lust has never been an equal to romantic love and we're talking about the man who slept with any pretty female who challenged him, Klaus feels sexually attracted to almost everybody. Klaus never loved Hayley romantically, and he never loved Caroline like that either in my opinion, but even if he did he still would not chose them over his own daughter.
Any time he has put somebody else above Hope, has always been because he was hurt or influenced by someone else's actions (see this post to see what I mean), and I acknowledge he's a selfish git who does what he wants, but Klaus would never actually put anyone over his daughter once everything was said and done. I mean, the only reason as to why he even rekindled his relationships with Hayley and Caroline was because of Hope, and his relationship with Hayley actually started because of Hope, because otherwise they would've gone their separate ways after sleeping together.
Klaus has a fucked up mentality, but his love for his daughter was probably the only thing that was a constant for him. How the fandom makes it a competition is crazy, because Hayley and Caroline didn't care about him that much either. Hayley was willing to let Klaus die in season four if that meant Elijah (the man she loved the most btw) would return to her, and Caroline literally married Stefan and went on with her life without thinking twice about Klaus.
Caroline doesn't love Stefan or Klaus more than she loves Lizzie and Josie, Hayley doesn't love Elijah or Jack more than she loves Hope and that's something people need to see because honestly, it's getting tiring.

I can be wrong but I don't think there will be jonerys if Jonsa going to be happen. It will be absurd for Jon and Sansa to have feelings towards each other and tried to deal with those feelings with other external issues only for him to fall for Dany too. Already Jon and Sansa suffered enough and still had to deal with things. Shouldn't they get some respite instead being dragged into some kind of love triangle? Jonerys bring nothing in story and to their characters besides unnecessary suffering
I happen to agree.
They can't coexist without destroying the point of either.
Whatever controversy and tension you create with introducing Jonsa as a fake!incest romance, you entirely undercut by adding Jonerys, the genuine aunt-nephew Targcest romance, on top of it.
Narratively, it erases the tension of the former (Incest? No big deal, old hat, been there done that.) alongside the deeper emotional significance for Jon. Since all that sister-incest drama apparently isn't remotely captivating enough to hold his attention and keep him from becoming enamored of a dragonriding invader, one that it turns out he is also related to.
What, apart from the deepest satire, is enabled by such a heaping of bait and switch incest?
Even if you place the parentage reveal very late (erasing all chance at Aegon drama for Jon) and turn it into a surprise accidental incest switch, you're left with a wishy-washy hero who basically goes "Awww, shucks, now I'm related to HER? Guess I can shag the redhead now, because we're only cousins, lol. Surely she won't care I was in love with the Targ queen until three minutes ago and only choose her now that the other one is off-limits. I am, after all, the ultimate and only worthy prize. Aww, CRAP, my platinum forbidden love is now charring a town! Is it my fault?"
Even any iteration of a sexual political!Jon storyline would suddenly place an embarrassing emphasis on Jon as an irresistible man prize no woman can resist, who is "forced to" have sex with the hot dragon queen to save the world and then fall into the patient and forgiving arms of the long-suffering maiden (who would never emasculate him with something as unpleasant as sexual competition, that's strictly for girls to endure)... apparently. Maybe with a "tragic" delay-by-exile to make it look a little less like he gets to have his cake and eat it too. A dream of spring, indeed. "Jon, your ten years are up. Sansa is ready to give you everything you ever wanted now after spending ten years waiting for you after your epic romance with your aunt. You were so very brave."
It erases the significance of the political messaging by making philosophical differences secondary to sexual attraction, and it really hurts the dignity of the female characters involved, Sansa and Dany both, by reducing their "peak" romance to a competition. It erases the concept and importance of fidelity and loyalty, if betraying one's love is either easily done in earnest, or handled like the rational and necessary choice by a true hero. Fidelity is a luxury that women can't ask of men unless they don't want to save the world!
Considering the level of importance GRRM has placed on romantic imagery specifically with Sansa, I find it sincerely improbable that he would reduce her to a reward prop for Jon, a clean and dignified maiden wife and mother-to-his-children as a treat, after suffering so terribly in yet another sexually charged relationship with dangerous and beautiful woman. (Yawn.) The love story she has been waiting for is going to have to be worth the wait? No?
Sansa's perspective on this would be pretty bleak, otherwise. What's the point of jonsa from her perspective? What's so great about Jon's love if he would just give it to a violent invader? What's supposed to be compelling about this romance for Sansa if it's just another disappointment because Jon's best political trick is sleeping with the beautiful enemy? Is pain the lesson here? Is jealousy and humiliation the price to pay for the crime of... what exactly? And what's the price Jon pays for loving Sansa, then? A little bit of feeling guilty for ten minutes before/after sleeping with his hot aunt? Really? That's love? That's romance? That's the future of House Stark? Sansa has no better option anywhere? Jon is literally the best possible guy, so she has to settle for that hot mess?
And what about Dany, who seems to spend her story arc essentially swinging from murder to falling for the wrong guy, rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat. Girl just thinks with her hormones, apparently. Compelling stuff. At least she gets to make Jon feel a little conflicted, I suppose. A lot of build-up in Essos for that, but anything to serve his story arc.
I don't buy it.
I don't buy it from Jon's perspective, I don't buy it from Dany's perspective, I don't buy it from Sansa's and I don't buy it from GRRM's.
I have never read a proposed storyline for Jonerys that would rival the intrigue of them being allowed to be platonic enemies. The dignity of letting their politics and personalities, not their genitals, take center stage.

Day 3: Angst
I am very smart for drawing my own trigger /s
Anyways this may not look like angst, but it's future Henry talking about divorce without telling his pregnant wife about it
[HIDDEN AUDIO FILE FOUND, DO YOU WANT TO OPEN IT?] [[YES]] [YES] [LOADING...] [LOADED!]
"Huh? Why would Henry think about divorce? I thought he loved me..."
"I told you, he's cheating on you with Dave."
"What? Dave would never! Wouldn't he know?"
"...he does, Henry even tried to invite Dave to his wedding. Dave just rejected it because it hurt that the guy he loved was getting married to somebody else."
"Henry must love me though, right? He has almost always treated me with respect, he has made sure I was happy and comfortable all the time! He does almost everything with me... he even told me he loved me, so why would he cheat on me, especially with Dave?"
"Because, Henry didn't know what was the difference between romantic or platonic was. Henry thinks of you closely, but not in a romantic way. He's not attracted to women, he's attracted to men. He just didn't know the difference because his parents' "love" story is that Aidan was a guy who forced Willow to have his kid and get married... but she immediately died after giving birth instead. He was just following whatever people said romance was, because he was smart enough to know what his dad did wasn't okay."
"How do you know? He never told me that!"
"It's pretty easy when my dad used to be friends with his dad. Plus, I like to listen in on Henry's conversions sometimes when I'm bored."
"Why would he tell anyone else before me though? That's not fair at all!"
"I can't speak on that, I'm not him. You can ask him, I bet he will tell. He's not that secretive towards you anyway."
"Lexi, tell me... why do you even care about this? I thought you were just going to mean remarks about this when you walked passed..."
"Why? I may not like either you or Henry, but I feel like it's fair to explain. After all, every action has some thought put in it, even if the thinking is small or not good. I must go now, I have places to go."
"Lexi wait... don't just leave me! I have no idea what to do if Henry actually decides to divorce!"

I’m sure you’ve answered this before but tumblrs tagging system sucks. What are your sexuality head canons for neo and cinder?
My brain's mush atm because it's 2am but, I think I actually didn't write down too much about their sexualities?? In reality I just, made them both lesbians because I'm simple, because, well, I'm a lesbian myself, whatever floats the boats of people!
On a side note, I have a somewhat extensive headcanon on my Neo discovering her sexuality and it not being a thing she just realized/accepted when earlier in her life, alongside her somewhat complicated relationship with developing romantic feelings, so lemme copy/paste those- keep in mind these all are my personal headcanons, obvs!
Before she was sent to Lady Browning’s Preparatory Academy For Girls, she would’ve already experimented with herself, in the sense that she technically lost her virginity to herself, or at that moment, to Neo, her ‘imaginary friend’. It couldn’t get sadder because that moment was simply born out of the desperation of her loneliness- being so isolated from the world makes one do crazy things sometimes.
But that didn’t mean that Trivia knew who she was attracted to, it was a one-time thing, and her next stop would be the Academy.
I can say for certain that she had her gay awakening at the Academy, even if it was in a subconscious manner. She hated basically every single girl in the damned school because no one treated her right, so she never had the chance of getting close to any of them, nor she wanted to, so despite there being something at the back of her mind that made her find many of the girls attractive and interesting, she didn’t think at the moment that it meant she was a lesbian.
She got back at the Malachite twins once, though, she decided to fuck up with Miltia by turning into her lover -another girl of the Academy- and took their place, so when they started getting into the heat of the moment, Neo turned back to be herself in the middle of it to send the major ‘fuck you’ to Miltia she could. Even when she was doing that out of spite and revenge to their bullying, there was still something at the back of her mind that made her enjoy kissing and getting naughty with another girl, but she still denied it.
After the Academy, all she had was Roman, and for a time, Neo was actually pretty convinced that she felt attraction for him, but any show of affection that ended crossing into romantic/sexual territory is something that didn’t feel right for her, so it’s after spending like a year with him, that she finally accepted she was simply attracted to women.
Since then, she has been rather proud and open about it- definitely nothing she’s ashamed of.
--------
Back when she lived with Roman, the platonic relationship she had with him filled the wholesome moments she needed, but Neo was prone to go out at night after a heist to flirt with women at the club.
There was always an attempt to try and find romantic feelings in those one-night stands, but she never found it, despite not minding filling her need for sexual encounters that way.
It got to a point in which she started to believe she would never be able to develop those kinds of feelings for another woman, and even if that's far from the truth, it's true she has it hard to fall for someone, romantically speaking, even if she can feel sexual attraction way earlier.
On a side note, when she gets to fall in love she's monogamous, thinking that social relationships are already hard enough to maintain to get into more than one.
She is definitely not used to have prolonged friendships with other people that aren't Roman, so she's not only kinda lonely, but she also falls being rather dependent of the person she clings onto. Girl has issues.

Which honestly I shouldn't be surprised because they claimed I complain that black women avoid me in stores and that I'm a creep towards them and I'm like
A: literally have never complained about this because it's not a problem I have?
B: why would I be a creep towards black women? I'm not attracted to women and don't go out of my way to talk to random women trying to shop? I don't want to be bothered while I'm shopping either? I have no interest or desire to interact with women on a romantic or sexual level and thus all of my interactions are platonic and polite because I simply wouldn't pursue women like that?
C: if a random black woman is talking to me and I think she looks nice I will compliment her? And she always receives it well because it's a genuine compliment and not just an unwanted comment on her body? I'll tell her that her hair looks great or I like her shirt or jewelry or makeup or whatever? Is that "being creepy" because every woman I've done this to has enjoyed this form of attention and I've even gotten some numbers by doing this which means I'm so dense about attraction to women that I didn't realize they were flirting with me? I don't think women flirt with creeps so I think I'm actually Pretty Normal in my interactions with black women in stores?
D: when I say people in stores are weird about me being there I'm almost exclusively talking about white people because they're being racist?
It's the same when people claim I've said all kinds of nasty things about black women on my blog and how it's easily searchable and I'm like. You sure you got the right person because I straight up do not believe that and thus would not have said it on my blog and thus there is no post you can find that said thus. And when I look just in case and you know what I find? Nada! Because it's a blatant obvious lie!

Based from your former posts like super random old ones I guess you have watched shounen genre harems like code Geass. When you're aware of the tropes it's easy to shrug off what happened in between to just fan service or not. I guess I'm just bringing up people being adamant about cloud's reaction to aerith's dress. At least the favorable ones. I know of the real meaning of it, that he's confused, I watched Yamazaki about it and even he was surprised at the final production. I trust his reaction because it seems to me he didn't get "act all mesmerized to her dress" as a stage direction. But rather act confused would be more accurate. But that's not where I'm getting at. I'm getting at the parts in shounen harem or not harem really, where lets say the third party can go and kiss you and all that. Mc's going to blush, panic, or any reaction. This is technically romantic in the atmosphere. But does that mean it properly does that effect? Is he in love? Are these third party really doing anything? No. I could literally just compile kissing scenes from the third parties or any other reaction and then place in the part where the Mc straight on rejects the same girl like nothing happened. Like he never blushed, nothing, its cold. And so when I see defenders on reddit , twitter , or I don't know anymore saying that's supposed to be romantic! Any scene with her really. I just think of this phenomenon in Japanese media for boys and just smh that sure go ahead have deep thoughts on a fan service but it doesn't really mean anything. You could look at most mc in shounen for example ikki from air gear, he'd be putting himself out there in compromising positions with girls and they get a reaction out of him. Does that mean he has feelings/attracted to them? Nah, unless it's explicitly being showed , sayed, developed , wtvr actually substantial like it's supposed to be convincing okay? And not like your counting what is possibly counted / passably romantic because that's desperation (pssh like with aerith scenes). Just to push it out there as well, anybody thinking ff7 is inspired from shoujo tropes don't get FF is a male demographic game. If they do then they're probably doing that for a reason (perhaps to send of the illusion/ confusion part? Wink wink). One day you'll be seeing me out there putting out collage of the stuff I just mentioned and make people get it. Uncultured swines lmfao.
Tumblr media
I've watched it a bit 🤣
Yeah, that whole red dress thing is one giant bit of fanservice. It's an optional result from the player's efforts. If it was canon you'd get the red dress no matter what you did, and there'd be links to it once the scene is over. Instead Cloud has the same line about Johnny and never pays any attention to Aerith no matter what she looks like. You'd think he'd be more attentive to her if he suddenly fell in love or whatever, but he's more focused on saving Tifa, and so is Aerith.
Aerith is dressed to impress Corneo. That's literally what the dress is for.
Tumblr media
Cloud is literally confused and doesn't recognise Aerith in the red dress scene.
Tumblr media
It's no different to when she offered a date. He just doesn't get it. Every time she tries to throw herself at him in any capacity he just doesn't understand what she's after.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And again in her resolution, he's confused. That's his emotional state around her. He doesn't understand what she's on about or why she says and does things towards him. And it's not him being oblivious about women. He's not a moron. He gets that Jessie is throwing herself at him and calls her desperate, so he's not some snow white pure innocent lamb. He understands he's attractive and women like him, he's just not interested in anyone but Tifa, and remains oblivious of her feelings because like him, she's buried them super deep in case it ruins their friendship. And he's under alien control but that's a whole other thing 🤣
And yeah, Yamazaki also confirmed Cloud was confused during the scene and in pretty much every other scene that Cloud appears with Aerith. He also scolded Cloud for being mean in scenes with Aerith. He said they're like siblings and Aerith annoys Cloud on purpose like a sister does to a brother.
If the mocap and the vas and the devs and everybody involved is telling you something then people should just shut up and accept it as a fact 🤷

🍀 - What thoughts or emotions that didn’t make sense to your past self make sense now that you know you’re queer?
Okay I'm sure I can think of more for this one.... I think I had kind of this sense of being different and not knowing why, but I had enough confidence it kind of turned into a superiority complex. Not being interested in boys and thinking dating was trivial was kind of normal and rewarded in my smart girl circles into middle school. We were independent! We had more important things to think about! And I don't think this is a bad attitude for young girls to have in our society, but sometimes it's something else. In high school, several of my friends didn't date, because honestly most of our school kinda sucked and we did in fact have a lot to do and not a lot of time. So I was able to ride that "I'm not interested in boys yet" wave longer than I should have, but it started to waver. When I was around 15 or 16 I was looking at rage comics people had made about their relationships and for the first time I thought "I actually like the idea of being someone's girlfriend" and then I immediately thought "of course I don't want a boyfriend, though." It took a very long time after to that to figure out what I actually wanted in that situation which is very funny. When I was younger, I always felt totally out of the loop when girl talked about their Disney channel and boy band crushes. I just didn't get what they were so excited about. When I was in about 6th grade (give or take; my grade was an unknown quantity for years) our teacher had us do this game for Valentine's Day where we named a celebrity we'd like to get a Valentine from. I like that teacher a lot and she had good intentions but looking back... Valentines at that age are at least quasi-romantic and that's a whole can of worms. I said Chessie the manatee, tapping into my romance hater reputation, and it's not like I thought of a girl and was afraid to say it. But still, I think I remember that because I was gay. The only other kid's dream Valentine I can remember was a boy said Taylor Swift (she had just become known; I think this was the first time I heard her name) "because she's hot" and the teacher cautioned him. I was really paranoid about coming across as romantically interested, both in girls and in boys. I panicked when I accidentally sent a girl a kissy emoji on yahoo chat when I was 13ish. I had a weird friendship of sorts with a boy in middle school where we couldn't admit we wanted to be friends, so we "hated" each other and attacked each other in various harmless ways. I cut him off without explanation because people kept relentlessly saying we were flirting and calling us lovebirds and it freaked me out. Later I did have boys I was friends with develop feelings for me and interpret my friendship wrong, so that one wasn't totally irrational. One I've been thinking about a lot recently is I was always drawn to tomboy characters. The girls who hated all things girly and wore dirty jeans and backwards ball caps and only played with boys. I adored Leslie Burke in Bridge to Terabithia because Jess couldn't even tell if she was a boy or a girl at first. There was a part of me that related to these tomboys. I was not a girly-girl. I was brash and outdoorsy. But I was in-between. I had long hair and I liked pretty things and dolls and pink. I did relate a lot to the girls who passed as boys in historical fiction, but that was because their options were pretend to be boys or not be allowed to do anything. I thought I'd do that if I lived in that setting, but I'd prefer to just have adventures while being a girl. I guess I always admired tomboys, but I think a lot of it was also attraction, in whatever way kids experience it. I still like jock women, so.

Why "there's no fucking way that Will, Artemis, M'gann, and Cissie are 100% straight"?
There's no indication that any of these characters are attacked to the same sex whatsoever. I understand some like to project their own sexualities onto characters they like, but personal preference/interpretation and show canon/facts are two different things.
Why are people obsessed with Will liking men when he's attracted to one woman, married her and had a child with her?
Artemis has had two boyfriends and there's no indication of her being interested romantically or sexually in women. Not even that line at the park in season 4 about a female assassin works because A- Artemis was just messing with Jason, and B- Artemis was referring to her own sister when saying that.
M'gann can be an allegory about transsexual identity but that doesn't make her homosexual/bisexual. She's been attracted and in love with one boy/man and she's married to him.
As for Arrowette. Has the show ever shown her interested in someone at all? She's had so little screen time I don't remember.
If anything that panel from Targets only shows that Violet is the only female/non binary character attracted to women. And that's pretty neat.
I like to come up with fanfiction of Zatanna and Raquel being a couple but Z only thirsts after Dick (literally and figuratively) and Raquel isn't shown being interested in women romantically or sexually. And I'm fine with that. I understand things on the show aren't exactly how I imagine them and that's ok.
Hmm...
I'm straight so I'm not projecting anything onto these characters
Also, even if I wasn't, there's nothing wrong with seeing a character as queer, especially when there's no official confirmation deeming otherwise.
People can be obsessed with whatever they want until canon proves otherwise, and so far up until this moment it has never been confirmed that Will is completely, 100% hetero. Also, there's about, uh, 7 years of off-screen time, plus every moment not depicted onscreen or on paper, so who's to say if Will never had any interest in guys?
Pretty sure Greg gave a cheeky answer about Artemis saying that one specific line. Also, see point re: off-screen time.
I'm almost positive that Greg himself has confirmed that M'gann is not straight. I want to say that she's pan, but I don't remember and I don't feel like pulling up Ask Greg.
See point re: off-screen time.
Violet/Halo goes by 'they/them' pronouns and Greg has confirmed several times (on screen and off) that they are nonbinary, so calling them a female/nonbinary is pretty inaccurate.
You have no idea if Zee only thirsts for Dick, because previous point of tons and tons of time not being depicted onscreen. She could be with Raquel right now and we have no idea. She could be with John Constantine. Also, bold of you to say she only thirsts for Dick, and has been lusting over him for what... 7, 8 years now? Their banter in the last Phantoms arc is purely because they have history and dramatic gremlins and that's how they interact with each other, not because she still wants him.
Also they're all not-straight idk what to tell you 🤷🏻‍♀️

The sad thing about woc and shipping is that I've seen characters called aggressive, pushy, predatory and the list goes on just for showing any interest in male characters. Most often when dealing with white male characters. I'm certain if the roles were different there would be tons of hate towards Gam laced with mysogynoir if people tried putting her with the male lead after what happened.
That's if even half the same amount of people saw fit to do so. The degree to which people insist characters like her need to be alone, are too strong for a relationship, aren't seen as attractive enough, feminine enough and the list goes on is so pervasive. The way this is reflected in real life is also pervasive. Then it often runs into different kinds of love, support and how we routinely undervalue some women. It can influence reactions to when some women are hurt or killed which I think parallels reactions to Gam. I do think there's enough information out there today to easily understand this on at least some level.
This is why I can't love the movie as much as I'd like too. There are too many ways it treated Gam with a disregard for her death and who she is now. It kept her from experiencing the love of a family the whole trilogy is about. This was the last movie and many characters barely spoke to her. I can't ignore that she went from a lead to sidelined after being vital for 3 appearancs. She ended her arc with less connection to what was going on than a tree, more minor character like Kraglin and even a dog got to celebrate Christmas. By the time credits were done rolling every character got to be on the team but her.
you're so valid anon. it's crazy how the gotg franchise has managed to give a certain humanity to characters like rocket and groot consistently that i feel like it's lacking with original gamora...like the dignity of just having a complete arc at all
so much of my feelings toward the treatment and reception of gamora is just an extension of what i've felt and observed in fandom, but especially mcu fandom, for years. the way there will be thousands upon thousands of fics for two white male characters who've never met, hardly interacted, or have barely anything in common, yet literal crumbs for fics showing natasha and gamora meeting and finding common ground. the way yelena has existed in mcu canon as nat's sister for not even 2 years yet the yelena & nat tag has already blown the gamora & nebula tag out of the water on ao3 (~1600 fics and 365 fics, respectively)
like i get it, the gotg were never going to be as popular as the avengers in fandom or whatever, but still it's just. kinda wild to me LMAO. and even if you just look in avengers fandom works alone, there's a clear racial bias there already—i mean, just look at the popularity of something like st*ve/b*cky compared to rhodey/tony, who have pretty comparable, longterm friendships, yet one is Infinitely more popular as a romantic ship than the other, and i wonder why.... so add that already present racial bias in with gotg being less popular and gamora having the misfortune of being both a woman and a poc. Well. the math sure maths, don't it

I'm pretty sure Gillian Anderson has said she identifies as straight even though she had a relationship with a woman in the past
ok so actually this is such a fantastic talking point and i hope @bisluthq will send this over to her “communities i’m not a part of” anti anons because gillian anderson’s sexuality is a bit of a perplexing thing!
in 2012, she came out as some brand of Not Straight and told of multiple relationships with women, though she did say she had many more relationships with men, she said it wasn’t some huge deal to her since she always knew she was also attracted to men
THEN in 2014 for some reason, while talking about identifying with a role she was playing, she did indeed say “i identify as a heterosexual”
THEN in 2015 she essentially identified herself as pansexual (or certainly some brand of Not Straight) when she said, "To me a relationship is about loving another human being; their gender is irrelevant."
so like...which is it?
she dates women, has dated several women in fact, one of whom she was serious enough with that after this woman and gillian broke up, the woman was offered a TON of money for nudes of gillian and she turned them down
but then she said she was het
and then she said, “i’ll date anyone of any gender.”
to me, and i don’t want to speak on behalf of all fluid people or anything, but this really feels like an excellent example of someone who is Not Straight, but more typically attracted to the opposite sex, so doesn’t, or didn’t for a time, consider herself part of the lgbt community.
like girl you tell me whatever label that works for you and i’ll respect it but the definition of heterosexual certainly isn’t “i’ve had several relationships with someone of the same sex” and then, “i’ll date anyone of any gender” just in a pure like...dictionary.com kind of way you know?
so yeah gillian is a fruit queen (particularly since the last word on the matter is “yeah i’ll date any gender”) and methinks this whole phenomenon is maybe part of why taylor maybe alluded to this idea that she didn’t feel a part of the lgbt community and said stuff like that.  like, perhaps since she’s closeted or in an end-game situation with a man, or dated far more men than women, she feels compelled to alter her language in this way.
like gillian had WHOLE ASS ENTIRE GIRLFRIENDS and was like, “ah yes i’m a heterosexual” and then one year later was like, “ah yes i’ll date any gender.”
sexuality is confusing it’s even confusing for us normies, and we don’t have the immense pressure of fame.  labels can be extremely helpful but sometimes finding the right label that describes something as downright metaphysical and transcendent as falling in love just isn’t always going to be able to be easy.
does this prove taylor’s gay? no, but it does mean that in theory she of course could have insinuated she was straight, or even downright said: “i identify as a heterosexual woman” (which ofc she’s never said that) and still had whole ass romantic relationships with women.  that was the case for gillian anyway!

When Taehyung kissed you, he felt hot, drunk, and happy.
These feelings were the opposite of what you felt.
"Ugh," you pulled away from the kiss when you couldn't bear the taste of his mouth anymore.
You could literally feel the remnant of his blood on your own lips. It had a metallic taste and it was disgusting.
"Is something wrong?" Taehyung enquired, brows furrowed because of confusion.
He still felt like he was floating in the air. He had never felt something this strong before.
"N-Nothing," you answered, losing the courage to tell him that you hated the taste of blood.
You didn't want to offend him, didn't want him to think that you did not enjoy the kiss.
You did.
And that's what scared you the most.
Where did the two of you stand after this? What did this mean exactly? Did he kiss you because he liked you? Or did he do it just to give into one of his capital vices?
"Are you sure?" Taehyung blurted out, his voice was soft that it made your heart skip a beat.
Why did he have that look on his face? Why was he staring at you as if he wanted to crash his lips against yours again?
"Yeah," your eyes were roaming around, obviously avoiding his hot gaze. "It's getting late. We should head home,"
It was rude to walk away without waiting for his response. You knew this well. But what were you supposed to do when all that was clouding your mind was perplexity?
The ignorant part of you wanted to think that Taehyung was attracted to you, but the rational part of you was saying that only a fool would think that the devil was capable of liking someone.
Devil.
He was the devil and you shouldn't be fooled.
"Wait—" Taehyung ran after you, his hand immediately found its way to your wrist.
Taehyung swore he could feel the loud beat of your pulse.
"D-Did you not like it?" He whispered, voice so small you were certain he was either afraid or hurt.
"Didn't like what?" You were pretending as though you had no idea what he was talking about.
Taehyung's heart dropped. Judging your answer, he already knew what you felt.
"I was talking about the kiss," it was like he didn't get the hint that you didn't want to talk about it.
"It's fine if you hate it." The laugh he let out was breathy.
You tried to look at his face. He was already staring at you, his golden eyes screamed something you couldn't quite decipher.
"Just..." His grip on your wrist loosened, like he was ready to let you go, which was a clear juxtaposition of what he said after losing contact with your skin.
"Don't avoid me because of it." His smile was sad. "I don't want things to be awkward between us because of a mere peck on the lips."
And there was your answer.
"Right," you smirked before walking away, totally ignoring his groans as he told you to wait for him.
You were walking too fast, like you were doing exactly what he asked you not to do: avoid him.
Yes. You were planning on ignoring Taehyung. Actually, you were doing it now. You also did it yesterday and the day before that.
You were keeping track. Fourteen.
You had been avoiding the devil of death for straight two weeks now.
[4:23pm] you: I'm gonna be home late. Don't wait for me. Don't pick me up. I brought my car.
Even your text message felt like a dismissal. Taehyung frowned upon reading it. You were talking to him in a formal way. No smiley face or whatever.
He scoffed and tossed his phone onto the couch.
He didn't know if he had done something wrong for you to act like this. It was apparent that you didn't want to see him. You always brought him with you to the hospital, but ever since the kiss happened, you made sure to leave home at six in the morning and only be back at eleven in the evening.
There were also nights when you chose to sleep at the on-call room of Cornelia Hospital.
The devil didn't dare to bother you even though he missed you. This was because he was following the advice of PD-nim, his virtual assistant.
"Hey, PD-nim," Taehyung called after retrieving his phone. He needed advice again since it was obvious that giving you space wouldn't do the trick.
He just felt like you were growing more distant to him as day passed.
"What to do when someone is avoiding you?"
PD-nim responded in a heartbeat.
"You should give them space, Master V."
Taehyung clenched his jaw. PD-nim was full of shit. He knew how to address the devil with the nickname he set for himself, but the virtual assistant couldn't give proper solution to his master's problem.
"But it's not working!"
PD-nim took a few second to respond after that.
"Well," the assistant seemed hesitant. "Have you tried giving them flowers? Speaking of which, did you know that 64% percent of men buy flowers, while only 36% percent of women buy flowers for Valentine's Day—"
"PD-nim," Taehyung said through gritted teeth, making the assistant stop. "Can you shut the fuck up?"
"Okay," PD-nim's answer was instant again.
Taehyung sighed, as he gently stroked his chin.
"So flowers, huh?" He mumbled to himself.
Maybe he could try to give you red roses? Or tulips? Would you like daisies?
"PD-nim," Taehyung was decided. He would buy you some floras. "Where is the nearest flower shop from my apartment?"
There was no answer.
Taehyung facepalmed. He forgot how sensitive PD-nim was.
"Fine. You can speak again."
"Magic Flower Shop is four hundred meters away from your apartment,"
The devil switched off his phone and then he went his way to the shop PD-nim had suggested.
It wasn't so bad. The place was decorated mostly with pastel pink ornaments.
Taehyung roamed around the place. There were so many flowers that he didn't know what to pick. He was pondering whether to buy ready-made bouquet or to customize one. He had a lot of time to kill after all.
He didn't like staying in your apartment because loneliness was only consuming him.
"Sunflowers or lilies?" Taehyung licked his bottom lip, skimming his choices.
In the end, Taehyung decided to just ask the flower shop owner to help him. Unfortunately, the owner said she was busy with some pre-orders so she couldn't help Taehyung.
On the bright side, the owner told him that her daughter was willing to help. The latter was a florist. She knew what the devil needed, but she didn't look please to render service.
"What are you staring at!?" The mentioned florist hissed.
"You don't seem very friendly," Taehyung observed, pouting his lips and turning to look at the array of flowers in front of him instead.
The florist sneered in response.
Taehyung hummed, "are you perhaps having relationship problems?" He was talking like PD-nim. This was what his assistant said when Taehyung was acting as if he hated the world.
PD-nim was right. Taehyung was problematic that time. He didn't know what to do with you.
"What is it to you?" The florist snorted once again, causing Taehyung to roll his eyes.
"You're right. It's none of my business so I don't understand why you're diverting your anger towards me," he was losing his patience. "I am your customer. You should be treating me like one."
He had enough bullshit to deal with. He didn't deserve to deal with a rude mortal like this one.
"You're right. I'm sorry," the florist mumbled, embarrassed. She also lowered her voice a little so that her mother couldn't hear her. "I'm just pissed coz my mom won't allow me to leave this shit hole."
Taehyung was surprised when the florist opened up. Huh. People were really something else. They would only treat you right if you showed them that you should be treated right.
Kindness was not an unspoken rule. This was probably the reason why people instantly fell in love with someone who showed them basic act of kindness.
They couldn't distinguish the different between romantic interest from respect and kindness.
"Wow," Taehyung shook his head in disbelief, the corner of his mouth turning up. "This is a shit hole for you? I see that you have high standards."
This flower shop already looked cool.
"First of all, my standards are not high. You are just judgmental," the florist crossed her arms. "You look like an ahjussi so I think by now you should know that just because your so-called standard doesn't live up with the standard of other people, you already have the right to assume what is and what is not."
The florist paused for a while just to swallow thickly.
"This place is a shit hole because I am always stuck here! I don't even have time to see my boyfriend!"
"You have a boyfriend?" Taehyung parted his mouth in shock.
The florist gasped. She had said so many things, yet all that mattered to Taehyung was the boyfriend thing?
Unbelievable.
"What's the problem? You think I'm not pretty enough to have a boyfriend!?"
"First of all, you're assuming facts." Taehyung mimicked the voice of the florist. "Since you look like a kid, I assume that my reaction is understandable."
"I'm not a kid!" The florist gaped at Taehyung. "I'm fifteen years old!"
The devil chuckled upon hearing that.
"So I'm right after all. You are a kid. I understand now why your mother won't allow you to meet your so-called boyfriend," he was still mimicking how the florist acted a few breaths ago.
"How old is he, anyway? That punk better be fifteen too."
"And what if he's older?" The florist challenged.
Taehyung's eyes darkened.
"Then I'll beat him up and report him to the police. Pedophile shit."
The florist looked like the cat got her tongue, causing to Taehyung wiggle his brows in contempt.
"You should breakup with him, kid. I'm serious. I won't have any choice but to tell your mom about this if you—"
"Don't please!" The florist cut him off. She looked startled, tears filling her eyes. "I know he's older than me but he loves me! He said he loves me! We are running away tonight! Please!"
Taehyung was beyond shocked to hear this revelation. This kid knew nothing. She should be stopped.
The devil didn't care if she hated him. She left him with no choice.
Taehyung rushed towards the exit. He spotted the shop owner outside of this store. It looked like she was talking to someone over the phone.
"No!" The florist's lips trembled. She pulled Taehyung's arm, forcing him to look at her.
"Don't tell her!" The girl cried.
Taehyung was about to say something, he was also about to pull his arm away from the child; however, he was too weak to do that.
Suddenly, he was coughing blood.
"Ahjussi!" The florist tried to comfort Taehyung, but the latter shook his head.
No one could help him. This was not happening because he was sick or whatever.
Taehyung knew this was the effect of trying to do good things.
He was the devil. He was supposed to tempt human beings to give into the darkness.
Either that or he would continue to suffer.
Taehyung chose the former option.
He couldn't suffer anymore. He was not stupid. He was aware that he would die if he still played the role of a hero.
He couldn’t do good things anymore. He couldn't be someone who he was not.
"H-Hey, kid?" Taehyung puked. His head was spinning and he felt like his body was burning.
He could even feel his horns threatening to show.
"Y-You....wanna get...o-out of this..." Taehyung panted. "Shit hole, right?"
"Yah, ahjussi!" The girl cried. "How could you think about that right now? You're hurt."
She was sobbing. She appeared feisty but she was just a soft person.
It was a shame that he had to corrupt her mind.
"You won't get away..." Taehyung inhaled deeply.
His head wasn't spinning anymore. It still hurt but it was tolerable now. This was because he was starting to tempt the florist.
Angry people, scared people...These were the type of people who were easy to corrupt.
"Unless we get rid of your mom first,"
"W-What are you saying?" Fear crossed her face; she took a step away from Taehyung.
The devil only smirked.
"Your mother doesn't love you. She doesn't want you to be happy. She's taking you away from the only person who really loves you..."
The florist was shaking her head as the devil fed her with lies.
"I-I can't...that's not—" She trailed off. She wanted to say that Taehyung was lying, yet she couldn't.
Her young love was poisoning her mind.
She didn't know what was true and what was made up.
"Come on, sweetheart." Taehyung took a step closer to her, reaching for the knife the florist used to cut the stem of the flowers.
"You just have to stab her on the stomach. She's going to get hurt but she's not gonna die." He was handing her the weapon. "Just one stab. It will buy you time. You can run away while I take her to the hospital."
Taehyung stopped talking when the girl pursed her lips.
Silence engulfed them.
Seconds later, the girl took the knife.
"I'll do it." She said.
Taehyung's grin grew wider.
"That's a good girl."
The florist was decided. She gripped the handle of the knife tighter as she ran towards her mom.
She was close.
But someone stopped her—you stopped her.
"Yeji-ah?" The shop owner called the name of her daughter, her brows were knitted together when she saw how you snatched the knife away from Yeji.
"What's happening?" And of course the mother was confused.
Taehyung fucked up, that's what.
The devil knew this too. He knew he fucked up just by looking at you through the big window of the store.
You saw.
You saw what happened. You knew that Taehyung tempted this poor little girl.
He couldn't be wrong. The glare you were giving Taehyung could attest to that.
Again, you saw.
After almost a year of living with him, you finally saw.
No. You didn't see Kim Taehyung. What you saw was the....
devil.

I just post a drawing of three of my OCs and someone already made a horny comment... and it is worse since one of that OCs is a little black girl :/ I hate people. I just can't understand what motivates men to make s*xual comments on a picture with kids, even if it is a drawing...
Oh my Gosh...I'm so sorry. I wanna say men are disgusting, and, well, they are...but I feel like that would be invalidation/enabling in this case.
The other thing is that I also drew my own OC for the Disney film Encanto, who is a Black teenage girl. And, well...it's only a matter of time before some m*n has something shitty and gross to say about it.
Men see all women, of any and all demographics, as nothing more than porn categories. To them, we aren't humans, we're nothing more than buy-and-sell commodities for them to fuck. They rate us according to our fuckability and desirability. They only value us as potential romantic partners, objects to look at, holes to penetrate, and are incapable of seeing us as anything else. So being a girl and existing? To guys, you're just another option that they could date, fuck, ogle, sexualize, rape, etc.
And then they throw their hands in the air and say that women are just more beautiful than men...according to your male gaze, that is? You don't think women attracted to men see men as beautiful? You don't think women see men as potential sexual partners? You don't think women consider your fuckability and desirability to them? But the thing is, due to how the genders are socialized and how patriarchy works, women still manage to see men as HUMAN despite that. Women could literally rate every single man they walk past or see on the earth on a scale of 1-10 according to how attractive or sexy they are~and we'd still see y'all as human. Men don't know how to do that in turn. Because to them, we're simply pretty objects to be consumed, looked at, and to do with as they wish.
And of course, the further you stray from privilege and a perceived right to childhood, innocence, white femininity, and respect, the less men(especially wh*te m*n) see you as a human. Because if white women are sexual objects to be used, Black women are even LESS worthy of being treated with humanity and respect, so where a white woman would be at least treated faux-sympathetically, Black women get to be a platform for all of white men's most violent and animalistic rape fantasies. This stems all the way back to slavery, which I'm sure you already know how this horror story is gonna go, but of course, it's where the Jezebel stereotype comes from: that Black women are sex-crazed, violent, rough, animalistic succubi. Do whatever you want to their as violently as you want! Rape them! Mistreat them! They don't have souls and they don't need the care or intimacy that a white woman would be afforded, if anything, they like it! And if they don't see Black women as humans, then of course they won't see Black girls as humans either, or as children.
That's where the adultification bias steps in. Black girls get all of the same violent and rapey stereotypes placed on to them as their adult counterparts do. They get this, of course, because white slave masters raped underage Black slave girls too. They didn't just stop at adult women. Even if you weren't fertile, even if you didn't yet start puberty or menstruate--if he had some sick urges that he couldn't inflict upon his delicate white lady partner, he'd just go down on the closest Black slave girl there was. And yet somehow she was the horny brute. Which is exactly why these men feel comfortable sexualizing even fictional little Black girls, such as your OC. Don't hate people. Hate men. They are truly gutter-minded and fantastically dehumanizing and apathetic to the humanity of anyone who is not male like them. Remember that.
To end this post on a positive note, though, I would be really interested in seeing your OCs, if you don't mind! And even if you do, I'm sure your OCs are gorgeous and have great characters, and the right people will appreciate them! Never stop drawing and writing! I believe in you!

Hey Kay! I was wondering... I'm thinking of writing a Byler fic. Is there anything that's missing from the current fic library that you think would be good to see, in terms of tropes, characterisation, things to explore, etc? I would also appreciate hearing from your followers. Just any ideas that people would like to see in a fic.
yeah sure ...
1)We need more povs from Mike’s perspective. (Almost all are from Will’s pov - let’s mix it up sometimes)
Mike in canon is the pinning-gay -(overly romantic) whipped one , but we never see it. And he’s pretty much never written this way! Mike in s3 has 6 drawings from Will on his wall  (he kept them up since s1-for years- despite replacing the poster on the same wall). Has even caressed extra drawings of Will’s that he’s kept in his binder.  In s1 wrote a whole story for Will about defeating a monster and giving the king it’s  7 heads (cause Will rolled a 7 when the demogorgan attacked him.) And as a Star Wars fan he had his own character be given a medal by the king (like how leia gave the medal to Han for his heroism.) He attacked people for insulting Will. Literally hates apologizing -but is quick to do so for Will . Boy ran in the pouring rain twice for Will- disobeying cops, the government, and his parents to do so. He initiates every byler moment (arm thing, hand touch, ‘best thing i’ve ever done’, ‘crazy together, right?’, always asking Will “what’s wrong?” or “are you ok?” etc). And was upset at Will dancing with a girl + insecure about Will replacing him -after he moves away.
-but 90% of byler fanfics (don’t get me wrong some are good) are from Will’s pinning perspective. Also do people realize Mike is clearly the more romantic/ emotional open of the 2 while Will is clearly the more emotionally closed off/aloof one?  He loves Mike too- but he’s def less obvious about his feelings- based on how he behaves. Will rarely opens up to people (Mike being an exception). But, it’s never written that way (usually it’s the opposite).
2) as a gay women all the reductive stereotypes annoy me. it’s obvious when fic writers try to have the gay romance be modeled after het romance- and try to make one into the ‘girl’/ ‘guy’. Duffers don’t stereotype  Mike or Will but a lot of fanfiction writers do in order to make the gay romance resemble a straight one more (canon character traits, be dammed). Please, stop pushing heterosexual dynamics on gay and lesbian couples and trying to make one “the girl” and “the guy”. It’s very offensive and innaccurate.
Because he’s taller and most people head canon him as bi they make Mike a jock (despite in canon having horrible aim and not being able to run as fast as the rest of the gang). And Will (since most see him as gay) is weak/ sucks at sports compared to mike...despite knowing how to use a bat, shoot a gun, and being able to tear castle byers apart with his bare hands . Also nothing in canon shows Will likes to wear makeup and dress in drag (but it’s a constant thing that i’ve heard come up or heard others mention). It would be fine if he wanted to express himself in such a way. And if it only came up in an occasional fic it wouldn’t be a big deal. But it’s such a common theme that comes up (despite no canon evidence) that in most cases it just screams ‘straight writers trying to make Will into “the girl”’.  Not to mention the huge emphasis of their height difference (shows this too). It can get annoying calling him “short” & “petite” (a term used for women) when will isn’t even the shortest guy member- and now his actor is way taller than gaten (dustin) a bit taller (I think?) than caleb (Lucas) and barely shorter than finn (Mike’s actor). But writers even in future fics write him as short...ok? ya’ll really can’t let go of making Will “the girl.” Cause ya’ll incorrectly equate shortness to femminity. It’s tiring. Some writers straight up say he’s “pretty “, “feminine” or “looks like a girl” 🙄
3) it’s not byler if it’s unrequited- stop tagging it as such
4) more emphasis on Will’s passions(art, writing, horror movies). Maybe in his upbringing with Lonnie. And jon being a good bro to him. Will’s Mental health issues maybe ?
5) mike is a socially awkward, clumsy, unathletic, (caring) science/sci-fi /D&D loving nerd. In au whatever- but mike is not a bro-y jock, or a cool bad boy. 😂 plus , more writer mike would be nice to see
6) headcanon him all you want -but at this point it’s pretty obvious (to me at least) Mike never loved el,and was just lying/confused/ projecting Will on her. And El is/was also confused and never loved mike.   so it would be nicer to see that instead of Mike just ‘falling out of love’ with her. Mike is gay. people say in s3 Will saying “a day free of girls” is gay coded but everyone ignores Mike in s3 saying “BOYS ONLY”. same energy. writers even threw in a telemarketing joke so Mike says in s3 “El? no. sorry not interested.” And Mike has more rainbow refs than Will.  Boy is clearly gay not bi (way too much evidence to talk about here) .  They even  compare mileven to ted/karen who “never loved each other.”   The  writers make fun of mileven constantly and say over and over it’s not actually romantic - (if you choose to read just 1 link read this one  and get with the program) . plus, most Bi dudes  wouldn’t stop being attracted to a girl the more fem she gets (and only be attracted to her when she looks like a “guy”(specifically their guy friend).which yes the characters in s1 said over and over again that El looked like a “boy”/“will”.  And then they have him Makeout with her while putting up a  drawing of said male bff on the wall (cause now she looks less like him) and so he needs to look at said bro, to stomach the makeout seshes/ and in an effort to transfer said romantic feelings from guy friend to gf. Then push his gf’s hands off himself during the kisses- sing to stop kissing, and  kiss to mostly show off how straight he is. And without said pic- not kiss back and just keep his eyes open and not reciprocate. Nor would they have Mike equate het romance to something he thinks he has to do as a part of growing up . Bi dudes consider falling for a girl as simply romance not a foreign idea that has to be done cause there’s no other option and that’s ‘just what old people do’. Mike claims el is the only girl he’s ever had feelings for - but like dustin said mileven is “bullshit “ (stancy parallel -where nancy was not in love but faking it). So mike’s never been into a girl and is also into Will... so...
7) it’s the 80s they can’t just be open/ have pda in public (you could have gotten k*lled or beaten severely.) And most of their friends/fam would not take it well initially. (I think jon, Karen , and steve/robin would take it well... but not most of the crew.) although they’d all prob come around eventually . -Takes me out of a fic to have such historical revisionism when everyone is just totally fine with byler and they’re out to the public/strangers.
but that’s just me. What about you guys?
