My Thoughts on Touchstarved

So, I've finished the demo! Let me start off by saying that I love the story! The concept is awesome, I adore that you can choose your own background, I love how immersive the setting is, everything is just... amazing. I can't wait for the full game to come out! Especially with all the special treats we're getting from the Kickstarter goals, it's going to be fantastic! And now, my friends, I shall share with you my thoughts & Headcannons for each of our lovely love interests, in order of appearance. If you'd like to see more, my requests are open!! I haven't gotten any for Touchstarved yet but I'm itching to write for them, I just... need some inspiration, so the more the merrier!

Kuras

First of all: pretty. I love his design, it's wonderful. He looks so ethereal! And very doctor-y, which was the point.

Can we talk about the hair, though???? How cool is that?? I love it. It looks very soft and fluffy. And so long... Could you imagine sleeping next to him? You wake up and you're drowning in floof.

He's very kind and gentle, but is obviously holding back. He distances himself from people, and like everybody else on this list, he needs to find someone he can really trust to open up and be himself with.

And he stays so busy, like... when does he ever take the time to relax? I know the city needs him and his clinic, but he deserves some time off, too.

To be honest Kuras gives me kinda like.... asexual vibes? Maybe demisexual? Idk, maybe I'm reading too much into him being reserved, but. I just feel like he either wouldn't be interested or he'd want to fall in love with someone before taking them to bed.

Leander

I love him, he's incredible. So talented, so kind!! I love the respect the Bloodhounds have for him, and how willing he is to go out of his way to help a stranger.

Also he blushes very easily and I love it, he's absolutely adorable

I am very very curious how he got so much skill with magic, because that doesn't seem to be normal. I bet it has something to do with his secret.

He very clearly has some serious trauma in his past, too. I wonder how he got that scar, if it has anything to do with his magic, if it is indeed the same scar running from his face to his arm....

Seems like he drowns his trauma in alcohol, his gang, and keeping himself very busy. Poor thing clearly doesn't get as much sleep as he should.

I think he just wants to be loved, but he's afraid to let himself be too vulnerable.

Vere

Can I just say that I'm a little bit in love with his design. I mean I am with all of them but. Especially Vere. I love foxes and it's just. *Chef's kiss*

He's a cocky lil son of a biscuit tho. That tongue of his is quite sharp... as are his teeth~

I feel like he'd flirt with a Soulless to get what he wanted. In actuality he'd just murder it, but... you get my point. You're never sure if he's gonna seduce you or slit your neck.

Literally if Sage and Rime from Last Legacy had a child.

He's absolutely not trustworthy but I wanna get to the bottom of things and form that trust with him.

Romancing him would be very interesting. He's always three seconds away from eating you, but the question is... will he eat your soul, or your [redacted]?

Ais

He reminds me far too much of my friend's OC, and for that, I am the sliiiightest bit obsessed with him. At least that gives me a headstart on his characterization.

Would sell you to Satan for one cornchip, but fortunately MC interests him enough to keep them around

And Princess???? Oh my god. My heart. I adore her, I adore him, yes please

And he calls the MC "Sparrow"!!! That's absolutely precious. I love how he has nicknames for people, it's wonderful

Ais seems like the person who will tell you he doesn't care what happens to you and you can go get yourself killed for all he cares, then move heaven and earth to save you once you're even slightly in danger.

l absolutely adore them. They have stolen my heart.

And yes, maybe I do have the slightest bit of a savior complex, shut up. I'm just addicted to the hurt/comfort angst of it all, okay?

Literally hates everyone and everyone hates them (Except for, y'know, Kuras) because they're such a grumpy little loner and dear god just let me love you, let me teach you what love is.

They definitely fit into the whole "stronger than they appear" archetype because they're specifically mentioned to be pretty scrawny, but they have an impressive amount of strength and holy hells they're good with that dagger. That's incredible skill

I just. I want to break down those walls and earn their trust and teach them they have someone they can rely on who won't betray them, no matter what happens or how dark things get.

I just want to cuddle them and reassure them that everything's gonna be alright, is that a crime?

🦂DEMON FORMS: ASMODEUS 💄

AN: Unfortunately, the concept of hypnosis is a major theme for my OCD so I can't really write him as creepy as I want to. Alas, I tried. Fucked up Asmo supremacy. also I was tryna keep this sfw in terms of *spicy* content bc thats for a different post hehehe. As always, feel free to check out my obey me world building tag for more demon headcanons and since con is over I can work on requests!

Inspiration for this part: literally everyone who has ever drawn Asmo with a scorpion tail like he DESERVES also @noecoded bc they have the BEST Asmo art ever. Also @princessasmosprincess has been such a major help in writing this! ily Michi 😘 thank u for letting me pick ur brain bby

TWs: Bugs (scorpions), mind manipulation, alcohol (part 4), vauge reference to nsfw stuff (part 3), demons being demons, body horror? Maybe?

● Level 1.5. you know, in the Percy Jackson books, how Aphrodite appears as whatever you think is most beautiful? Asmo is kinda like that. Not fully, but if you are more attracted to say, dark hair, he will have darker hair. (Cute note: if you fall in love with him for realsies, this stops happening, and you just see. Him.) Like Belphie, he is alot more… mental with how he freaks people out. Even without hypnotism, if he asks you to do something, you feel like you want to agree. Only Asmo can make you think taking out the garbage when it's his turn is YOUR idea. He glows under blacklights because… scorpion. His teeth look normal from a distance, but up close, you can see how sharp they are. His eyes shift through every possible color, changing each time he blinks. His pupils are heart shaped. He gets cold really easily and will make it everyone's problem.

"MC! I'm going to freeze to death, please, save me!" The overly dramatic Avatar of Lust drapes himself across your lap, intent of using you as a personal space heater. Nights in the Devildom just get so cold! His poor, beautiful heart can't handle the subzero temperatures! And of course the last argument between Levi and Mammon managed to complete destroy the heating system. So it's your solemn duty as Asmo's favorite human (don't tell Solomon) to keep him warm!

● Level 2. His nails get longer and sharper, and even when talking, it sounds like he's singing. If he actually starts singing, you will find yourself dancing or lulled into a false sense of security depending on the song. He actually caused the dancing plague this way! He is capable of using his carapace as a sort of natural corset, controlling each segment to give himself the desired silhouette. Somehow, Asmo is wonderful at knowing exactly what you desire. Not just in a sexual way, he can figure out your ambitions after one conversation. If he decides to talk to you, everything else will kind of...fade away. How can you focus on anything when his eyes fade from pink to purple to blue... What were you talking about again?

Asmo thought the house was empty, that it was safe for him to sing without consequence. Unfortunately, you came home early, which led to the awkward incident where you began dancing the moment you walked inside. At first, you thought you were hit by some curse, screaming in surprise as your body moves on its own. Hearing your shrieks, Asmo rushes downstairs, fussing over you. Luckily, you weren't under his spell long, so when he stopped singing, you stopped dancing. He was very apologetic after that.

● Level 3. He grows several extra limbs on his sides. They are small little insect legs that are basically useless. He likes to annoy his brothers by tickling them with his weird lil bug arms. But otherwise, Asmo is EXTREMELY self conscious about them because bugs aren't stereotypically cute. He can keep his wings bc they are cute. BUT HE ALSO HAS A SCORPION TAIL. The stinger is heart-shaped. It's adorable. It also has venom capable of making you so horny you die! Which is... slightly less adorable.

It was quite the sight, seeing Asmo, shirtless with several small arachnid limbs, covered in a hard exoskeleton as he chases Satan around the house, claiming he needs to be less grumpy. Satan threw a pillow at his brother, causing you to laugh. Bad move. Now Asmo has locked his eyes on his next target. You.

● Level 4. You know how so many Greek monsters are giant creatures with the face of a beautiful woman? That's Asmo. He has the body of a scorpion-if a scorpion was the size of a horse - and face so gorgeous, you might cry or go blind. He sings so sweetly to lure in prey. Basically, he's a siren-scorpion monster from hell! He usually won't take this form because, honestly, he thinks it's ugly. So for the most part you are only going to see a scorpion with Asmo's face scuttling around if he is feeling particularly emotional. Like when he gets a little bit too tipsy and his insecurities plague his mind.

It was rare Asmo would get properly drunk. At least the type of drunk where he is miserable. Usually it's a very... drunk girl in the club bathroom who just LOOOVES your shoes and wants to know who did your eyelash extensions 🥺 sort of energy. So hearing straight up wailing from his room after a long night at the Fall was...unexpected. What was even more surprising, was what you found when you opened his door to try and comfort the demon. A large scorpion with the head of the Avatar of Lust, standing in front of a broken mirror with mascara streaming down his face. You only hesitate a moment before making your presence known. Asmo starts to cry more, sobbing about how terrible he feels having you see him like this. In the form that he considers the definition of ugly. You are quick to reassure him, naming each thing you find beautiful about his more demonic looking self. Like the way his armored body catches the light, reflecting rainbows across each segment. Or how his stinger is heart shaped. Or the fact that even without proper hands, his hair and makeup is still flawless. Aside from minor damage due to his tears. Soon enough, you have a giant scorpion sleeping on your lap like an overgrown cat. You decide not to mention it in the morning.

Thank you for asking this question it's really really interesting I'll be telling you what I know

Menstrual blood has been compared to semen in some older texts , like semen is the source of a man's energy and conserving it makes him enhance his masculine energy likewise menstrual blood also enhances the energy of a women , the topic is rather debatable, the stopping of the menstruation in a women ( please note I'm taking about before the period of menopause) signifies that the women has high levels of prolactin which may lead to premature development of milk in a women . Milk which is associated to the primary nourishment form of a child , after a women gives birth it acts as the best nourishment for a child so somewhere or the else menstrual blood is related to milk and creation. Basically it's a play of our hormones.

The magic lies in the flowing of the blood as well , it is literally the blood that creates a child , it is potent and has lot of stem cells which can be used in menstruation magic which I don't know much about but you should read if you wanna know . One more thing to note is that the loss of menstrual blood is associated of the energetic purge a let go of desire and essence so it's oftentimes written that when a women is on her periods she takes energy from the sources around her because she's drained , it is energetically a part of us ,

A woman in her menstruation is also not allowed in temples because they compare her to a living goddess, I'm not quite sure about this point but I heard it somewhere . This is the perfect time to meditate and think about the energies you want to attract and what you want to let go of , the blood will bleed the sorrows away it will also give you power you will invite the good and let go of what no longer serves you .

If observed with intention this becomes a period of great rejuvenation and transformation, what a man acquires through meditation is what a woman naturally embodies through her cycles .

With a new season airing I figured I would do a lil post of tomgreg fics I’ve written that I’m kind of proud of, just for funsies 🙈 I've loved being part of this fandom, and I'm hoping to contribute even more as the final season plays out :) I have two things half finished right now, so I guess we'll see.

Truth or Dare Rating: E Probably my magnum opus lol. Tom & Greg play an insane game of truth or dare that drastically alters their relationship and throws everything they know into question. I love when Tom’s a little insane, and he is definitely insane in this (in a hopefully canon-typical way at least?!).

Landslide Rating: E A bit of a character study on Tom and his complex and layered emotions. He goes on a bit of a journey in this fic, trying to figure out how to be the most authentic version of himself after repressing it for so long (with Greg being enduringly patient).

Little lies Rating: T The blossoming of Tom & Greg’s relationship through the eyes of Shiv. I loved writing this so much that I made it into a mini series.

For what it’s worth Rating: E Tom propositions Greg over dinner and it goes better than he expects. The dialogue is some of the best I’ve written, I think, which isn't bad considering I'd watched like 5 episodes of Succession when I wrote it (plus about a million tomgreg fancams :'))

Pictures of the past Rating: E Wrote this for my iconic pal @chasingbodies birthday, who actually came up w the idea in the first place. Tom’s friend from college unearths pics of him from his youth and Greg kind of becomes obsessed with seeing them. Such a fun concept, Ana has the best prompts.

The Hirsch Foundation for Waifs and Strays Rating: T Throwing this in here because it’s just silly and cute. When I’m sad I write the softest nonsense and I was so sad when I wrote this 🫣 the plot is essentially ‘Greg can’t stop adopting dogs, and Tom let’s it happen bc he’s in love with Greg’

Surreal, but nice Rating: E Notting Hill AU. Ewan gives Greg his aging bookstore as an early inheritance, and in attempting to run it he meets mega famous actor Tom Wambsgans, who develops an interest in him 🤭 it’s literally a reimagining of the movie Notting Hill, which I highly recommend if you haven’t seen it. (Though I don't think you need to have seen it to enjoy this, it's just like if tomgreg were a romcom)

Microfics Rating: Varied An ongoing project that I have neglected of late, but just a home for drabbles that I’ve written to submitted prompts! You can see a chapter-by-chapter list of prompts here.

i dont really expect people to take it, but man i love an excuse to draw some of my boys i don't give much love to brief descriptions and the result descriptions under the cut

1 [red] E : non-fandom sona I use to vent mostly - "Conceptual Chaos Junkyard" / "CC Junkyard" so he's mostly negative traits of myself turned up to 11. He's the overly emotional and sentimental and over-reactive side of the duo between him and G.

"[[ oh baby girl, I'm so sorry for you, get some help ]] Everything you've ever done blows back up into your face, you don't know what you're doing wrong?! Or well, you've figured out a few things wrong with you, but you can't figure out how to fix those things about yourself…"

2 [red/orange] Knox S. Consumer : kinda a minecraft sona? - "What's Minecraft is Yourcraft" / "Yourcraft" He's in general a minesona, at least when I first made him. In Yourcraft he is the sona/character version of an oc that's a minecraft youtuber/streamer and who is very distinctly not me, so Knox falls into an odd character category where's he's both my sona and an oc's sona. He's an old grouchy wizard type, but breaks character often to help friends

"[[ you may think im stretching on this one, but i assure there's more obscure ]] You know so much yet so little. The type of guy that can recite so many video game lore details and fun facts across all subjects, but will fail to realize that they really did mean it calling it "cream cheese," it is actually a cheese. You are very smart though, with your intelligence only rivaled by your stubbornness."

3 [red/pink] Dong : pokemon not a big surprise, but he's a pokesona of sorts. He's a Mareep that's specifically paired with my friend's Wooloo "Ding," he's somewhere between a pokemon in the anime and pokemon mystery dungeon in terms of personification, he's very bitey.

[[ haha dong ]] Lil gremlin guy. You're the typa bitch to fucking taunt people bigger than you and when they get pissy you go 'oh im just a lil guy a lil birthday boy.' All talk no bite. well, maybe a lil bite, like consensually or deserved.. BUT the point is you take no responsibly of the misdeeds you may or may not do !

4 [orange] Bibbly : double life / life series Bibbly is the character I made soulmate's with my friend cause we were watching other people make sona's and pairs with their friends too. Bibbly is based off of a drawing I did based on a more literal interpretation of one of my minecraft skins (specifically my 453 skin), "Bibbly" coming from "Biblically accurate." Personality wise he varies a lot cause in conception and most practice he is an utter coward, very reliant on my friend's character, though in other interpretations I make him a lot more jaded and no-bull shit but also those are usually what is supposed to be later in his development and/or away from my friend's character

[[ telephone game of sonas ]] You are a recursion of self analyzation. You try to map out your intricacies only to have your theories on yourself become rules. And once you've realized its a set habit of thinking. You know trouble and you avoid it the best you can.

5 [muddy yellow] Clart : minecraft sona ? - "What's Minecraft is Yourcraft" / "Yourcraft" Similar case as Knox, where Clart is my sona and the sona of one of my oc's who isn't me, but for Clart he and the oc, they align closer with who I am so it's not quite as weird a case. Clart is very easy going and cares a lot, he isn't particularly notably in Yourcraft as he's not really someone who develops more a character that help's the other characters develop

[[ straight up gooping ]] You just want a break, things to be nice and easy and do menial tasks and be with your friends. You give all you can, not because you feel you need to, you just want to and you can. You know pain and cruelty, you choose to be kind.

6 [yellow] [453>- / 453 / The cooler Casey : a general sona He's a more stylized, exaggerated version of myself and usually a lot more malicious for the fun of it. In his "lore" he is a shapeshifting sand.. thing, it depends on the specific backstory I'm going with. He is generally very energetic and bitey and evil for the sake of it cause man villains are fun when they are having fun and he is having a blast

[[ creature !! ]] You are the coolest sexiest mother fucker out here! or you sure pretend to think so. A whole fucking jaw breaker flipping between god-complex and inferiority-complex, who knows what's at it's core (probably inferiority). You love to be an edge case, probably the type of guy to make a fan character concept that's over done but do it with a twist. No fear of ocs coming off like a mary sues just cause YOU know how cool and really clever they are really even if they give a bad first impression.

7 [lime/green] Casey : general sona / how i draw myself This is just me, like, just how I draw myself, it's as general and genuine as I can manage which my not really be all that accurate maybe but oh well

[[ oh fuck u are just like me frfr ! or like at least closest approximation ]] You are only human. You love your friends more than the world and you try to be worth all you're given. You have some self esteem and self image issues, but maybe if you shove your ocs full of enough of your issues you'll solve some.

8 [green?] Caddle : general sona / fursona / the one i use for sexual stuff Caddle is a cow-adject shapeshifter. He is the sona I use the most when it's anything sexual, usually paired with my partner's fursona, but he's supposed to have other buddies too that I never really draw. I've got complicated feeling on sexual stuff and myself in relation to it, so he gets those feelings dumped into his character too. But aside from that he is a fun character especially to draw cause inconsistency is baked in and I love him dearly, he is very lazily chill with a big heart, he's also a rodeo clown even though i dont draw a full on clown get up for him much

[[ honka honka we got certified clown ova here ]] You are silly, a goofball even, one may even argue a jokester. You may present all goofs, gafs and dick jokes, -and by all means you do genuinely loving goofing gaffing and dicking- but you are a person with complicated wants and thoughts and feelings. Wants and thoughts and feelings you hold close to yourself, you do not know how to voice, so more often than not, you don't.

9 [bluish green] Gilon Kurt : lesser sona Gilon is a sona that I made just on a whim off of a twist on my name with "fluffle" being a the name for a group of rabbits, he's "Capn Kerfluffle." And then I made him a rival to my main fursona in their story and he gained a personality outside of me as they so often do

[[ rage rage murder rage !!!! ]] You have worked so hard for what you have and yet it is never enough. There is always something else to achieve more to earn, people clawing for what you have. You can have no peace nor solace, relax? chilling? never heard of her!! There are experiences to be had!! People to meet!! Friends to continuing loving!!! And you'll fight for it all, fight until you die!!

10 [cyan] Yeode : minecraft sona [real] Yeode my beloved, she is my darling rock-based robot made to search villagers that learns to live for herself kinda. A lot of her kindness and softness and story comes from backstory for just me playing minecraft ig who is a lot less kind in practice.

[[ yippee !!! ^.^ ]] You are a people pleaser to your core! You are born and molded by your attachments and use to others. Even in their absence you still live on for them in part.

11 [saturated blue] G : non-fandom sona I use to vent mostly - "Conceptual Chaos Junkyard" / "CC Junkyard" similar situation to E of mostly negative traits, but the other side of it for the most part. she is full of anger and malice at being stuck with little control over her situation and takes it out on E

[[ oh sweetheart, no ]] You think yourself a "bad bitch" a "girl boss" even. Emotions are not your strong suit. You have a hard time managing your own feelings, let alone dealing with other people's. You may not always be right, but you work hard to try to be.

12 [less saturated dark blue] D. Base : minecraft sona, specifically in magic mods / heavily modded minecraft he came about from when i was testing a modded server with my friends there was something that would crash my game if i entered specific chunks, and in those 'dead' chunks was my silk worms so i made dBase as a character for the friend server and he is supposed to be that glitched silkworm i got in testing, uuh end then that server slowly broke too, so i like to think it was somehow also his fault; while i did get to play on the server i got really into a few magic mods, mainly mana and artifice so he is not only gitchy but a magic man

[[ grub ]] You think of yourself highly, not perfect, but damn good. You've worked your ass off for the skills you've obtained and are happy to show off when they are even slightly relevant. Your "fuck it we ball" attitude somehow works out for you most of the time, though some collateral damage to others.

13 [light blue] Clerk James : fursona / used to be mascot character to note if you see other art of him there is a stark difference between the silly goofy Clerk that's my sona and the asshole angsty backstory version of him before he got so very concussed; current Clerk is very sweet and very dumb, he's the "capn" of a pirate themed ferry though also goes on some genuine treasure seeking adventures pg pirate style

[[ consider it the post-drownings one, don't worry ]] A mix of poor memory, self-doubt, and self-hatred that results in a potent blend of guilt for things you aren't really sure you deserve to hate yourself over, being it maybe not or fault or maybe never really happened. Aside from that you're upbeat and a bit stupid in a silly lil guy way. You're just a lil guy!

14 [purple] Cassio Inerta : homestuck / trollsona - "retroll" he is baby, very sweet and well meaning but oh so very problem avoidant and low empathy mostly from being sheltered; in retroll he is canonically in-universe a self insert of myself watching the plot go down and has a made up boyfriend given to him who loves Cassio by virtue that is what the boyfriend was made for, but kinda just puts up with Cassio, a projection of how i felt and feared in some previous relationships

[[ explicitly cannon self insert huh ]] You are a suckerrr for romance. You want and want and want so badly and you feel and in every instance you are given a taste it feels unreal. it feels unearned. It feels disingenuous. But you need it so bad. You don't know shit about anything, so terrified to fail you're terrified to try. But little by little you keep trying.

15 [magenta] Carcumber : a sona based off of my friend's previously-main sona's species so my friend's main sona and mascot character was a "lavamander" though the species had other character with other elements such as ice and sound waves and species had name trope of two favorite foods combined; Carcumber's name was Carrot + Cucumber but my friend changed main sonas and has since renamed most to just a single food name hence the opening statement for the quiz, i dont remember if he had an element associated, if he did i think it was "cart" or "car" or "money" or something stupid like that, and his is a used car salesman, similar energy and pathetic-ness of spamton

there is no bad variation of the 'let's get together to trick everyone for shits and giggles' (queer edition bc straight fake dating has had it's glory already, and i don't even mean fake dating for a reason other than to dupe people, i literally mean shits and giggles)

like at least not any that I can think of i mean

there's the ansgty pining edition: where A pitches the idea to B in a wacky fun way and just literally wants to get closer (and maybe it's to get over B, maybe it's to satisfy their curiosity before closure, maybe it's because they are an actual fucking moron) and B is like, okay bet (but internally is like 'so this is all a joke to you huh') and they are going along and they aren't saying 'hey, this feels real' but they aren't initiating anything and they are just quietly miserable that the only way they could have this experience with A is if they are faking it. obv ends with like some kind of angsty as fuck confession.

there's the soft pining edition: where they literally just want to get closer together and they both claim it's for the prank for the reveal but like you know, i've alwasy wondered what it would be like to hold your hand and oh, are they not convinced? i think we should kiss obvsioulsy, it's really the only way and they go on like this and everyone either suspects that they've been dating forever and just came out adn that's why they're so shy or that they're totally faking it but at least they aren't pining in silence you know. and at the end there's like a timid lil 'what if it was real?' and then they're smiling and it's grossly cavity-inducing cuteness.

then there's the crack oh we're just bros obv edition: where they are both 'straight' but like codependent and people think they are in love (they are for these purposes) and they're like, we'll mess with them, yea? and they act like it's a big game of gay chicken except they're not afraid and their friends are really supportive and they are starting to feel guilty for tricking them but also you know it's crack so they are doing wacky shit that needs a 'no homo' disclaimer excpet neither feel like saying it and it's like full homo. and at the end the confession is lame but they're in love and that's beautiful.

(then there the crack crack crack crack one: where one is like i'll seduce you and the other is like, huh, this is kind of neat? wish it was real lol and like nobody is falling for any of it but whatever)

there's the angsty induced pining pining edition: catradora

bc they are peak pining and dumbass and angst and love, for reasons Adora pitches the idea, 'you know, just to get them off our backs, like we're dating? what! and then we're like, ofc we're not' and Catra grasps it and doesn't let it go.

("We should kiss," Catra says decisively.

Adora's gut reaction was finally, what came out of her mouth was,

"No."

It came out strangled, guttural, tortured--- and Catra, always in tune, notices and is hurt. And Adora doesn't know how to say that I want it more than anything but I want it to mean something with you so she doesn't.

"Oh, well okay," Catra says, and she had already looked a little tense when she pitched the idea but now she looked stiff as a board. She looked like she was about to shatter. And Adora knows that Catra never handled rejection quite well, even if it was about something she didn't really care about, but she just can't.

"I- I would, but it would be my first kiss," she says, as an apology. "i want it to mean something."

Catra stares at her before nodding jerkily, something fire bright in her eyes. Her voice had a bitter, abrasive quality that stirs the familar urge to soothe in Adora. "Right, no yeah, obviously. Don't want to waste your first kiss on me."

"I--," Adora explained, voice catching, "I want it to mean something to you, if I kissed you. I don't want it to be for anyone else. For a prank.")

(any setting really, just the premise that luz is like ppl would go crazy if they realized we were friends, you know what woudl drive them crazier?? if we we're dating--- and amity is like, oh yeah totally crazy, we should do it, and luz is interanlly like i don't think it;s crazy i think other ppl would think it's crazy but you know if she thinks it's crazy then i should play along, adn out loud she's like 'let's do it' and amity is just internaklly thinking 'omg omgomgomgomg we're gonna hold hands??? wtfffff??? akdgaydzfbkafbc???)

("Well," Amity says, smiling weakly, "We did say it was a crazy idea."

"They don't believe us," Luz murmurs, gradually becoming more indignant. "They laughed in our faces!"

"I mean, we are messing with them!"

"They totally brushed us off! We cann;t let this slide! We have to convince them."

Amity never really learned how to say no to Luz, so she said, "How?"

And that is how Amity learned an expansive vocabulary of Spanish pet names. She also learned that it was very possibel to blush so hard you stop breathing. She learned both of those valuable life-long lessons, the hard way.)

then there's the crack oh we're just bros obv edition: raris

Where Paris and Rory are just (gay but in denial but she doesn't realize she's gay or in denial?) and Star's hollow is like 'oh, those lesbians!' and Pairs is like, 'let's date and mess with your town' and Rory is like 'that's stupid' but they end up doing it anyways for no other reason than Paris' research paper and Lorelai's amusement.

("I don't think we convinced Luke."

"He's convinced," Rory reassures, as she highlights a particularly good line. "He's just giving you the cold shoulder for my virtue or whatever."

"Hmm."

"But," Rory says, not sure why she is saying this other than that she kind of wants to. "I mean, we should be thorough. I've only seen Taylor print one Raris Valentines Poster."

"That is freakish on it's own."

"Yeah, but not to Taylor's standards. I think we can do better."

"Should I propose?"

"Oh my god.")

then there the crack crack crack crack one: nevermore

("Maybe you should kiss me," Anabel Lee suggests, eagerness shining through.

Lenore pretends to contemplate it, "I guess it's the only way..."

Two feet away, Duke turns to Pluto and whispers, "They do know we can hear them right? Like, we are all sitting at the same table?")

Okay having been the even slightest bit enabled by @musicalsobachka and @supernovafourleafclover commenting on my musing Gerard/Elody coming back together thoughts, I kept musing and went, but who would Elody talk about her very frustrating crush with? I don't want it to be Gerard himself, part of the whole thing is that they both need more friends!

And then my brain gave me the funniest possible answer, and I had to write out a lil bit of it:

"It's a bad idea, right?" Elody leans backwards, her palms pressing into sun-warmed grass. She heaves a sigh and looks at the sky. "I know it's a bad idea. We were bad at being married. We're great at being friends. But I just keep thinking...he's a good guy now. He's my best friend, and he's right there. Why am I still looking? But that's how everything went wrong before. It'd go wrong again, right? Just safer not to go there."

"I think that I am literally the worst person in the world you could have this conversation with." Rapunzel looks down at her scone, put off her appetite by the direction of the conversation. "Please go talk to one of your softer-hearted friends."

"You won't bullshit me," Elody looks from the sky, back to Rapunzel, with the frank, honest smile that Rapunzel appreciates and envies and worries about in equal measure. Good-hearted heros and their big, dumb hearts that they never adequately protect. Then her friend, normally so sensible, continues, "You're not biased."

Rapunzel nearly snorts her scone out her right nostril. "He killed me and ate my corpse. I heavily implied you only fell in love with him out of pity. I'm extremely biased!"

"So just tell me it's a terrible idea and that I should move on!" Elody growls out, frustration evident on every feature.

Ah. So Elody was looking for a reason to not want this. Which meant that she actually did want it. Quite a bit. Concerning.

"He," Rapunzel says, snarling every syllable like a knife slice, "is a soppy wet pathetic rag compared to your magnificence." Then she heaves out a sigh, sending her anger with it. "And he tried to come back for you. In the castle, when we ran them out. Almost died doing it." Rapunzel runs her fingers through her short hair. "He never stopped loving you. He's still a trash pile of a person," she hastens to add. "But if you're into that, he's into you."

Elody blinks. "That wasn't...what I expected you to say."

"I know," Rapunzel says. "But I won't be your excuse. You are the only person who can decide what's good for you." And that's enough emotion for the moment. She picks up a bit of her mangled scone and throws it at Elody's head. "That's for making me contemplate the concept." Rapunzel gives a dramatic shudder. "Waste of a nice summer day."

"My apologies," Elody snorts, shaking her head. "Consider the matter dropped." She looks back up at the sky, frowning a little in thought.

Rapunzel watches her friend watch the sky. Elody could do better. But...there are worse things than someone who adores you. And Rapunzel is done being the spider perched in the middle of a web. Elody can make her own choices.

The slight breeze ruffles Rapunzel's short hair, and she finds she's smiling, as she also turns her gaze to the sky.

they have a simple view of the world. food? check. water? check. flute? check. there we go . iri doesn't care for hearth and home, they dont care for society and cities and culture and leaders and dukes. they are, quite literally, Vibing. the camping life with the squad is literally heaven. instead of doing this alone, and admittedly being bad at it and lonely, poor in so many ways, their heart is FULL. they are surrounded by people they never want to leave! never want to lose! even if they don't like iri that much, even if they're mean, cruel, even a little evil at times! these are her people. this is a found family through and through and They Come First. along with her own personal freedoms (which are Their personal freedoms, in her mind), . and completing this quest? that'll make everyone leave. sad iri time. mayhaps a sad little tune will make them want to Stay.

iri will lie and cheat and steal and manipulate and trick . iri LOVES vicious mockery (spell) and finds thinking up insults to be really funny! true entertainment! there isn't much of a concept of This is Cruel. or This is Mean. behaviour though. naive and simplistic! they're just having a laugh. a lil clownin around. it's fun!!!! like oh, u had a reaction to that vicious mockery? that means.. afhiri did Good. she is a good person, she has a heart of gold, i think! she just doesn't understand, and no one can make her understand. brain wired to weirdo coded. a crowd of boos are just as much attention as a crowd of cheers, after all!

you could call them selfish but that's entirely untrue. they are absolutely in the truest of senses unselfish, and every action made is a selfless act, all their decisions in the game are based on whether it will make someone happy. but that doesn't always mean its the right choice! it doesnt always mean this is morally correct! sometimes she peeps over her shoulder and looks at her most blessed moral compasses for help (gale, wyll and karlach are the go-tos. lae'zel when it's Scary...) Generally if its something her moral compasses would do she will do it, but sometimes she cannot help but act on her own (no one thinks this is wise- but they are supported all the same).

her moral compass does shift upon the influence of her friends but lets admit our friends don't have the best moral compasses across the board, even her dear gale be approving of some Sick and Twisted stuff and be desiring power like it's his favourite Wine. when you can be swayed incredibly easy by those u will do anything to keep with you because u want them around, so, so badly, you can be influenced to do terrible things as well! and sometimes its as easy as "hey. do bad." and they'll be like ok :) i do bad :)

they reject literally anything that tried to bind them however, by a law, or a rule, or a deal, or a contract. oh, raphael? u wish to make a deal with me, form a contract? piss right off! pie in the face! in baldur's gate, asked to help out the Leaders and Rulers, asked to partake in the Politics of it all. No? i don't want to . this sucks. u all suck. my family live in shit and u want me to care about Duke Pissin Ravengard? sorry wyll but ur dad smelly as gnoll shit. the only binding iri has done is tying her red string of fate to her squad, connected for LIFE. this is all that matters over the course of this story.

hey just wanted to pop in and say that any pacific rim AU is high quality and an indication of impeccable taste, but making it Steve and Robin as a drift compatible pair, and Eddie as the mechanic who hates sending them out there is extra genius.

if I may add just one more concept to the table: Dustin as the kid with the kaiju obsession. he knows all sorts of stuff about their behaviors and biology, and maybe he bugs Steve to try and sneak him samples so he can mess with them. he has quite a few suspicious mason jars under his bed. and Eddie will pepper little kaiju details into the enemies in their DnD games because it makes Dustin happy. also, with Eddie being a drug dealer, and kaiju parts being highly sought after for medicinal purposes, I imagine he knows a bit about the kaiju too, but he's a bigger fan of them when they're dead.

AHHHHHHH, THANK YOU SM!!!!!! when i thought about the pacific rim AU at first glance, it already made sense to me that robin and steve would be the copilots, not only because it'd feel half assed to slap on eddie as his copilot and let them go to town, it'd make me feel like I've disregarded and deliberately misunderstood the dynamics between all three of them, if I hadn't made Steve and Robin the copilots and soulmates. Steve and Robin's friendship mean so much to me, because it not only mirrors what me and my bestie have (platonic with a capital P, each of us LITERALLY having the same dynamic, and me having liked him before, then getting rejected cause of), but having a platonic bound be so strong that they're two sides of the same coin, halves to each others whole, means a lot to me. And I believe that Steve needs a platonic bond so bad, because he's surrounded with so much potential partners in women, so much romance signaling that it's fuckn overwhelming and I fully believe Robin balances out all of that, all of his traits and little quirks and I'm not saying that is her purpose—because it is NOT, she is her own person and she exists OUT of Steve, not around him—I'm rather, seeing it as a side effect, so Steve and Robin are good for each other that way.

That, and Eddie as a mechanic makes so much sense, esp if we factor in the angst that this bad boi can give us. Not only that, but Eddie's creative mind tinkering with the Jaeger's design and model, constantly modifying like he does to his clothes in canon. Eager to help even though it fucking scares him that two of the people he loves always walk into the battlefield, knowing they might die. He's so fucking afraid for them, even though he KNOWS they signed up for this. signed their lives away for the world, so Eddie makes sure to do everything down to perfection cause mama,,,, he doesn't want to be the reason the jaeger fails. Doesn't want to see every avoidable little thing that might cause a chain reaction, that will cause him to lose robin, and most esp steve. Everyday, or on the days that kaijus do appear out there, he wants them to fight to live, because if they die, he dies, knowing that he sent them out there to fail. That he could be the cause of their deaths. So he prays to whatever god out there that his jaegers dont fucking break too fast before steve can return home.

And AHHHH, dustin being obsessed over Kaijus—I can TOTALLY see it. his dangerous fascination with things? Similar to Dart in s2. Eddie would def keep a small collection of Kaiju parts, not only cause theyre good to deal as a side hustle, the mofo think its pretty metal too (jk jk)

but yes, I agree, he likes them more when they're dead

THAT BEING SAID...

I offer you my Warcraft child, as seen below. He's called Izon and he's a fun lil guy who I often RP in-game and I'm in love with him as a concept because he's so fun and amusing and stupid and <3 I've had him for... IDK, a few years now, and he's finally stuck as a muse. After ditching my previous main WoW muse of ten years, I found it soooooo hard to make and stick with someone new, but this guy stuck in the end and I'm in an RP guild with friends so it's all great and we have so much fun RPing the evenings away. So now I'm very happy and finally settled lol.

He's a bit insane, quite literally, but not in a "L0l he'S inSanE So COOL". I mean, his body was stuck frozen in time with his mind conscious for a literal hundred years. And you don't get away from that without consequences :)))) So he's a little bit... paranoid, weird, twitchy, and all those fun words. He's also considered immortal because his body is still timeless. He can die of injury etc, but otherwise, time won't kill him off. And yet he's seen what happens to him in the future where he gets killed, so he's made a stupid alliance with some stupid evil magic time dragons to try and avoid that fate. Except that the time dragon people are now being defeated (current expansion's storyline), so he's PANICKING and is gonna have to find new alliances to keep himself alive. Because he was almost killed once in the past and saw purgatory and got tormented by the creatures there for an hour, which felt like a millennia, and he doesn't want to ever go there again, he's up for any protection from anybody or anything...

I went off on one there. I guess he's what I'm into right now lol

Ranking the doll lines I collect

I was rearranging some of my dolls last night and got to thinking about between all the lines I collect, how I rank them in order of favorites. so I decided to do that! As a disclaimer this is going to be 100% biased and completely based on my own preferences, so don't be mad if your favorite is my least (and I mean least in the relative sense, since I still like them and collect them actively)

Im not counting lines I only have 1 or 2 dolls from, so LPS Blythe and OMG Fierce won't be ranked, I'm also not going to count animal figures, so LPS and the LOL pets are out, they're just not dolls! along the same I'm also not going to count the lil' sisters, they're technically dolls sure but they're tiny and don't really have any fashion elements.

I'll also be spliting lines into separate collections based on how I view them personally, which may be quite arbitrary. for example monster high g1 and g3 will be counted separately. as well as LOL OMG and the Tweens, but I'm ranking bratz 2001 and 2010 the same.

Last note, the images I include aren't all full collections, just some highlights.

Now onto the ranking!

Coming in at number 10 is Cave Club!

I will start out by saying these dolls have my absolute FAVORITE body mold, the thick legs are everything. I love their whole concept, but the poly hair, cheap fabric fashions, and color island accessories really lessen them to me. I didn't actually intent to collect these dolls, but I found the entire first line at goodwill for 8 bucks and decided to take a chance. Overall I'm very happy I did, they have a lot of potential I wish they'd lived up to. maybe some day I'll reroot them all and give them bespoke outfits, maybe.

Number 9 is Monster High g1!

This is what I think may be controversial, but since getting into g3 and comparing them to other dolls of the same style I have, there's a lot they lack for me. I love the array of characters, the unique theme-ing, and I have a lot of appreciation for what they did for the fashion doll industry overall, but they do have a lot of classic mattel issues. For one their bodies are soooo fragile and if you have one of the coveted GoLd ElAsTiC bodies good luck getting it to hold a pose ever, at all. the later releases did fix that but even then the fashions have always been pretty cheaply made and the glue seepage issue... speaks for itself. They do have a special place in my heart, but I would burn them all in a heartbeat to save some other entries on this list...

Number 8 is LOL Surprise!

These dolls are fully plastic, 90% of the time are Surprise packaged (who would have guessed????) and their articulation is bad, yes I know they're tiny, I don't expect knees elbows wrists from them, but they literally, cannot, sit. Those are my only complaints! I love their adorable little styles, they're just so darling to me! their little color change and water features I think also help make up for some of their faults as well, not because I use them at all, but I really appreciate the thought that went into the designs and the secret designs that appear with color change. it adds a lot to the play value. and part of what I appreciate about doll lines is how much they consider the play value to their main demographic, kids. (looking at you, Barbara color reveal)

Number 7 is Pinkie Cooper!

Oh Pinkie, you flew too close to the sun, the world just wasn't ready for you. They're so darling, the body blushing is such a lovely touch, but their fashions just never really landed for me, they were quite floofy. They would make an amazing come back, I think the world is ready now, bring me the dog dolls.

Number 6 is our queen Rainbow High!

Whaaaat??? I'm also surprised to see them so far down the list, but despite their amazing articulation, attention to details, fashions, and GORGEOUS INSET EYES, I think im just a bit tired of the monochrome look, purple hair... purple dress.... ground breaking.

Number 5, middle of the list! It's LOL Tweens.

At this point going forward the margin of favoritism between lines is VERY thin. i absolutely love the tweens, their styles are amazing, the quality is top tier. they're almost perfect, but they are quite a bit smaller than other dolls, so sharing their clothes is hard!

Number 4 is Monster High g3

The Monster High team took all the g1 issues into account when designing these, and came out with some fantastic dolls. Their bodies are more substantial than the g1s, the body diversity is better too, though I wish Draculaura was actually plus sized, since people decided to be mad about her anyways. Now I specifically said the Monster High team learned from g1, not Mattel, as they unfortunately suffer from some pretty bad mattel-isms. Several characters have poly hair and their fabric quality is still noticeably cheap, I also have opinions on g3 clawdeen, but I'll get into those later at some point, and no it's not about how she's "not a Fierce lesbian" anymore before anyone gets it twisted. (ok ill get into it now, it's gross they gave her poly hair and I think her design got focus grouped waaaaaayyyyy too much and she's not got much of a personality in her design anymore. shes very cute! I just wish they'd committed better.)

If I could only collect one line it would be them. Sure their articulation is terrible, and none of their rebrand were particularly successful, but they are and will always be everything to me.

With fanfiction I also HATE HATE HATE "canon" stories about them being idols. For example two members being together, Y/N being an idol or worse...a fan. They're too realistic for my liking, I love AUs because I treat idols more like face claims than anything else. People who always analyse and assume their sexuality or preference piss me off. Cause YOU CAN'T KNOW so idk why some of them are fighting saying "X CAN'T BE THIS OR THAT" etc 🤡🤚🏻

But again, I just can't imagine most idols in a sexual situation whether because I'm personally not attracted to them or it's difficult to see them calling people whores left and right. I think most fans don't realise not everyone is in a dom & sub dynamic. Most people just have sex and go with the flow... I understand writing self-indulgent stuff but the projecting is quite weird.

It's the same with kpop parties, girls or to a lesser extent guys almost cream their panties at the sight of a Korean guy 🔫 last night we had guard one of the DJs cause not only people kept bothering him about songs but some girls were also ridiculous.
