SOME GENUINELY HORRIFICALLY DISTURBING FICS WRITTEN ALSKDFJDLSF #i worry for those authors but i worry more for the people who read said fics without feeling affected #??? HOW ARE Y'ALL DESENSITISED TO- ykw i won't even a s k #some of those fics are written WELL and I gotta respect those #i'm just saying - whenever i write snippets that reflect my low mood #and they're dark or violent or what have you #(not talking about fics but it applies all the same) #i don't feel... better #per se #technically those are vent pieces #but it's like i feed into the darkness by putting words and images to embody my feelings - which i know isn't the same for everybody #but when you embody a bit of darkness - darkness embodies a bit of you too #how many bits until it genuinely takes a part of you? #NOT saying writing dark content is bad - but e.g. writing extremely graphic violent/brutal content that serves little to no storytelling... #... purpose in a piece - it's gruesome to be gruesome. and in a way it can be pornographic #am i making any sense???
