Eddie has a test.
It took some time to formulate, a few too many times with guys careless with his heart, who leave behind more heartache than happiness littered in their memory. It’s fucking hard to tell.
More than once, there’s been a dude who promises between kisses i’m not going anywhere and takes more than his fill during a night which Eddie desperately hopes is passion and not some misguided lust. Only to wake a familiar empty side of the bed, them gone — skipping town, back in the arms of their parent-approved girlfriend, or back to spitting his name out with the word freak.
It’s what the test is for.
It’s specific, purposeful, all intending to weed out the straight boys who liked to dip their toes in the pool of queerness and leave Eddie to any consequences of the heart. Eddie doesn’t want to turn cruel, to be too jaded after feeling used too many times. It’s what the test is for. Protect the heart, see what interest is genuine.
Right now, he’s putting the test on Jared. New in town and in Eddie’s life, he’d captured the metalhead’s gaze from the glint of his pierced ear and light eyes that lingered. Kissed a little mean, and with too much teeth, but Eddie chalked it up to excitement. Jared seemed good. Nodded and smiled when Eddie found himself wrapped up in yet another DnD spiel. Said he found it endearing.
The test is simple.
A bid, a nudge, for attention. Never anything big or too exciting— that always got him specifically warped smirks designed to lead him along. Just something minuscule, like will you come take a look at my notes? or can i play you that riff once more? to see if it gave.
The pattern runs deep in Eddie’s dating history; same ol’ jerks who couldn’t bother to come and look at his new DnD sketches are always the ones who are only leasing a new sexuality for a month. It’s like setting a minefield and seeing who stumbles on a landmine, the bids getting ignored is as early as a warning sign he’ll ever get.
He tries the test on Jared.
It’s a Thursday night and Jared’s round at the trailer, lounging on Eddie’s sheets and still a little flushed from the night’s earlier activities. Usually it’s a good sign when the guys stick around after sex, not flying out the door once they’ve got what they want. By now, Eddie has drifted away from his bed, skittish thoughts already off and away with new campaign ideas.
He’s scrawling in a character design, some new boss, half troll, half hellhound, that requires a lot of finicky details worked out. The page is covered in scribbles, nothing in any semblance of lines and a crude first sketch is in the middle. It’s not quite the vision he had in mind but it took him an hour, so he’s hardly going to erase it. Besides, it looks pretty fucking metal to him.
“Hey,” Eddie calls out, a bit soft. No pet-names used— most of the time boys didn’t like them and wrinkled their nose. Those that didn’t mind, never returned them. “Can I show you the sketch I’ve been working on?”
He pauses, then launches into an explanation without waiting for a response, “It’s for the new campaign I’ve been planning, one of the bosses, and honestly, those little shrimps have no idea what’s coming for them.”
Jared, still slouched on the bed, peeks up a bit at the noise. He hadn’t really been doing much, just leafing through some of the junk beside Eddie’s bed. If Eddie let himself hold any hope, he would say it’s because he wants to know more about Eddie.
“Huh?” Jared asks, genuine enough that Eddie thinks maybe he didn’t hear him.
“A DnD boss?” Eddie says, eyebrows raising. He barrels on, thinking about how Dustin had helped propose the new boss, with a grin spreading across Eddie’s face. “Dustin, the little twerp, challenged me to pick a random combination of creatures and mash em’ together- see what crazy abilities come from it.”
“Who’s Dustin?” Jared asks, failing to sound like he cares. His eyes have wandered elsewhere, head falling back on the pillow and Eddie’s initial question about the sketch is long, long gone.
Oof. And that’s like 3 failed bids at one time because Eddie talks about Dustin all the time. Jared clearly isn’t interested in Eddie Munson, just what he can offer. Eddie’s heart grows a little colder.
“Look, I think I’m gonna get going, yeah?” Jared says, maybe sensing Eddie’s mood change as he begins to sit up and tug his shirt back over his bare skin. His sticks his feet in his shoes, laces them up. Eddie nods, tucks his notebook behind him and walks him out, plastering on a smile the whole time.
After ambling down the stairs to the trailer, Jared turns back, after searching the surrounding area for leering eyes, and he reaches out and gives Eddie’s hand a squeeze. Just a split second, before it flies back to his side.
Eddie would like to believe that he’s at least worthy of a goodbye kiss. Even if some wicked part of his brain says he’s not, that boys like Eddie Munson don’t get sweet goodbye kisses. Don’t get good relationships, just mindless flings.
The thought makes hurt flares in his gut, Eddie so desperately trying to protect his hope, and so before Jared can say anything, some pitiful goodbye, Eddie leans out the doorway and says, “Don’t call me.” then slams the trailer door.
It follows him around for the next week, his own personal storm-cloud to keep his head grey even when it’s sunny out. He mopes to Robin about it during her shift, probably the only other person he can talk to about it.
“So, you tested him? What does that even mean? Is there a gay test you know about that you haven’t told me about? That would be so uncool, man.”
She’s talking as she types, half paying attention to the computer. Steve is out in between the shelves, putting out a new batch of films— Eddie knows because he’d instinctively sought him out when he came in. Harrington was a pretty boy, sue him for wanting to enjoy the view.
Didn’t help he was also decidedly declared not-a-douchebag by Eddie during the whole upside down spiel and had the duality of biting off that bat’s head and somehow being the world’s biggest sweetheart for his friends. Friends that now included Eddie.
What can you say? Going through that much together, including killing a death wizard and getting dragged out of an alternate dimension certainly forms some strong bonds. Plus, Steve was hot.
(Eddie denies the crush on the basis that would. never. happen.)
At the reminder of Vecna, Eddie winces and supposes he should be lucky he gets any sort of attention after that whole scandal. But it doesn’t stop him from draping himself across the front counter, laying pathetically with a pout on his lips. He shakes his head fervently at her question.
“Not a gay test, Robin.” He stresses. “It’s the Eddie-Munson-is-this-boy-gonna-stick-around-test.”
He rolls up onto his elbows and props his head into his waiting palms. “Gotta make sure I’m not being treated like some common whore.”
It’s meant to be a joke, a usual joking lilt to his voice, but the end of the sentences comes out a bit too bitter to land that way.
Robin’s sympathetic expression makes Eddie’s chest twinge in a way he doesn’t like. He waves her off. Slumps back down a bit before deciding he’s done enough wallowing in the public eye.
Robin doesn’t say anything as he pulls out his usual notebook, pages weathered and filled. Eddie usually hangs around the store on days without plans, flits between Robin and Steve, and scribbles in his notebook. She bites her lip, gaze moving between the book and the resigned expression on Eddie’s face as he turns to the latest page— the strange hellhound troll mashed up boss.
“Okay, I’ll bite—what’s the test involve?” She asks, pausing in her typing for a moment. Her hands don’t stop moving, still stressing the fabric of her pants twitchily. Eddie perks his head up, clutching his pencil a bit tighter and rolls right into it.
“It’s not even really a test, technically, but doesn’t matter- that’s just what I call it - it’s like a bid?”
Robin raises her brows and they disappear under her fringe. “A bid?”
“Yeah! A bid!” He waves his arms around as he speaks, gesticulating a bit wildly. “It’s like— like asking them to come look at something stupid and small, just to see if they’ll give your interests time of the day, yanno?”
He punches a finger down into his sketchbook. “A guy who can’t even be bothered to look at a sketch I worked on for an hour? Douchebag.”
Eddie’s tone turns a bit sing-song as he continues, like it’ll somehow distract from the bleakness of them. “Ergo, not sticking around.”
Robin’s hands finally stop their messing, becoming completely still against her legs. She finally swivels her body to face Eddie, a furrow between her brows. Her lips are quirked up, just a bit, like she knows something Eddie doesn’t. He feels his apprehension grow as he slumps his chin back into his hands.
“You mean, like how Steve is with you?”
Eddie stands a bit straighter at that, some flushed combination of disbelief mixing with delight flooded his body.
“What?” It comes out a bit more squeaky than intended. Eddie clears his throat, waves his hands, anything to stop that smirk from spreading across Robin’s face — he can feel his cheeks glow a bit warmer at the mere idea. “What is that supposed to mean?”
Robin smiles a bit and nods over to where Steve is. “Try it, test him.”
Eddie follows her nod, casting his eyes across the store to find Steve. He finds him situated in the romance section, a pile of cardboard box stacked beside him, the top box open and ready to be unpacked.
But Steve’s clearly been distracted by the first film in the box — he’s sunk deep into his mom-stance with one hip popped, one hand on his hip, the other holding the film as he reads the back cover of it very intently.
Eddie watches for just a moment, watches Steve squint and pull the case just a bit closer, wrinkle his nose adorably, snort a little laugh at whatever he’s reading — and dammit, this is just a fast track to insanity if Eddie watches him any longer.
“Steve,” he calls, too hesitant and too quiet. Steve’s head doesn’t move, he just flips the cover back over, marveling at the front. Eddie tries again. “Harrington!”
Steve’s head pops up, eyes skirting about to see who’s calling him. He doesn’t move when he sees it’s Eddie calling, just raises his brows. “Yeah?”
Eddie swallows, tries not to think of Robin paying close attention to both him and Steve. He grips his notebook a bit tighter even though he’s not entirely convinced Robin’s right. Steve Harrington doesn’t like DnD — not even for Dustin who has self-proclaimed himself Steve’s ‘adorable little brother that he never had’. Steve is hardly going to care if it’s Eddie asking.
“Do you wanna take a look at this sketch I’m working on?” He asks, as casual as he can.
Steve’s features give away just a hint of surprise, a blink as he comprehends what’s been said. Eddie holds his breath, ready to turn to Robin and say ‘I told you so!’ and to pretend that he’s not secretly hoping Steve will say yes.
“Sure,” Steve says, slotting the film back into the cardboard box and beginning to meander between the shelves towards the front desk. Eddie doesn’t even get time to be surprised because Steve’s suddenly there, in front of him, all expectant.
Eddie opens his mouth, thinks the better of it, and snaps it back closed. Instead, he thrusts the notebook to the side along the countertop, opened to the page of the sketch and doesn’t say anything. In the background, Robin snorts lightly. Eddie shoots her a glare.
If Eddie could look at Steve, he’d see the lightly amused expression on his face, but Eddie only focuses on the book. Really focuses. God, if he looks at Steve he’ll probably get some stupid mooned expression on his face that would totally give away his tiny stupid not-a-crush.
In his peripheral, he can see Steve sidle a little closer and lean over to peer at the page. And while he looks over it intently, Eddie let’s his eyes drift up, taking in the side of his face.
Curses his stupid handsome face. Then curses it some more when Steve lights up in recognition, turning to Eddie, excited to have a sliver of an idea what Eddie’s showing him. Normally, it’s all mumbo-jumbo to Steve. Not that he hasn’t tried to keep up but those kids are ahead of the curve and Steve wasn’t about to embarrass himself asking them to slow down their explanations.
“Woah, is this that one that Dustin was talking about?” Eddie thinks there might be a bit of genuine excitement leaking into Steve’s words.
“The weird like, mashed up, uh, what’s the word? Hyp- hypb—“
“Hybrid,” Eddie supplies, voice cool. His heart is not feeling so cool. Jesus Christ, Steve wasn’t supposed to pass Eddie’s test— he wasn’t even supposed to be tested. In order for that happen, they’d have to even be fooling around and Eddie blames his building blush on that mere suggestion.
“Yeah!” Steve raps his knuckles against the countertop and takes a second look at the drawing, closer this time. He looks back up at Eddie, so he knows he’s completely sincere when he says, “This is really cool, man.”
“Okay.” Eddie breathes, sounding a bit stupid. He remembers himself, remembers Robin watching him essentially bluescreen at the praise from Steve and wrenches his awed smile into a familiar smug type of grin.
“Of course it is, Steve-o,” He quickly amends, reaching back and tugging the notebook back. It’s closes with a quick snap, like Eddie’s afraid Steve will take another look. “She’s not finished yet, of course.”
Eddie had to bite his tongue to keep it from either taking an insanely egotistical route to pretend Steve’s praise hadn’t had a profound effect on him, or even worse, start trying to suddenly be humble — oh this ol’ thing? it’s nothing really, just threw it together quickly— Eddie nearly melts against the counter in relief when the bell on the front door saves him.
A customer enters the store, instantly taking Steve’s attention and he bounds off to help them, an easy smile on his face.
Eddie waits until Steve and the customer wandered off into the aisles to release his breath. He doesn’t look at Robin, just turns and presses his forehead down against the countertop. Then raises it just a bit, and thunks it back down, a couple of times for good measure.
“Okay, okay—“ Robin’s gone a bit wide eyed and she waves her hands at Eddie’s pathetic form, his head still bonking against the counter. “Stop doing that. Jesus, Eddie, are the dramatics always necessary?”
His motions stop at Robin’s words and Eddie’s whips his head up. He narrows his eyes at her, and as if to prove his point, exaggeratedly jabs a finger at her.
“Hey! Never deny my right to be a drama queen. It is my god given right as an American citizen—”
“He passed.” Robin says, cutting off what was about to be a very long rant about god knows what. Eddie just didn’t want her to say what she was about to. “Your test. He passed, didn’t he?“
That. He didn’t want her to say that.
“He’s being a good friend! A very good nice friend!” Eddie counters, only sounding a little bit whiny which takes half the conviction out of his words. He slams his hands down against the wood. “That test is for— it’s not for him! It’s for—”
An annoyed noise comes out of Eddie’s throat and he aims for one more thunk of his head against the counter before tugging it back up and meeting Robin’s smug expression. She’s too smug. Her whole face is smug smug smug and Eddie scowls. He points a deliberate finger at her again.
“Different context, alright? That—” He waves an arm behind him, in the direction of Steve carelessly. “—doesn’t count. Nope. Not- that’s not how the test works.”
Robin sighs, as if she realises how fruitless it is to keep chucking this argument between the two of them. Her hands finally resume their typing and Eddie lets his head drop again, this time resting it against the wood a tad more gentle. He slumps, blowing a pointless raspberry as he tries to evacuate every thought that’s entertaining Steve as more. Or Steve wanting more of Eddie.
“Look,” Robin says suddenly, halting her typing once more. Eddie rolls his head so he can see her but doesn’t bother to lift it. She’s sideways in his vision, but still barreling on in that Robin way. “One last thing and then I swear, I’ll leave it.”
Eddie raises his brows. Says nothing.
“Have you considered,” She pauses, and appears to be trying to pick her words carefully. “whether anyone else is putting their bids on you?”
Eddie wrinkles his nose, knowing exactly what she’s hinting at. Subtlety has never been Robin’s strong suit. It’s even more obvious when her eyes dart across the store — Eddie seriously doubts she’s talking about the random customer that had just entered.
“Just think about it?” She pleads, and Eddie feels his annoyance at how easily he can feel his heart roll over. “See if you notice any bids from... anyone! Anyone at all.”
Eddie picks his head up, chances a glance towards Steve and admits, there’s no harm in trying. Even though, Steve had surprised him today Eddie can find a dozen reasons to chalk that up to. A dozen reasons that don’t include mutual feelings.
Eddie mulls it over, because because what are the chances really? Steve putting bids out to him? To specifically Eddie? The chances are slim to none.
So the answer he gives is, “Sure.”
He’ll get to tell Robin later she can stuff it and wipe her smug expression off with the most righteous i told you so on the planet. There was no way she was right about this, right?
Part two. Part three.

in hindsight, telling the most competitive guy you know that you may or may not be faking your orgasms with him was probably not the best idea.
it was just 4 hours ago when jun had suggested a game of truth or drink. and it was just 3 hours 45 minutes ago when he had asked you ‘have you ever faked an orgasm?’
‘yeah?’ you’d answered like it was the most obvious thing in the world. and because whatever was in that alcohol was making you loose-lipped, you had continued.
‘in fact-’ a pause ‘-and i’m not proud of this, but i’m really good at it. the guy could never tell’
there was an immediate murmur of we can tell around the table but you interrupted.
‘trust me, you can’t. those guys still think they’ve given me the best sex of my life but they were horrible. i faked it so i could get done with it and go home’ you took a sip of your drink despite answering.
‘so, anyway, yes i’ve faked it. many times’ you had concluded, looking directly at seungcheol when you said that. you didn’t mean to look at him, he was just there in your line of sight.
he also had this funny expression on his face, somewhere between amused and offended.
were you trying to tell him something?
seungcheol and you were in a (secret) friends with benefits thing. you didn’t really call it that but that’s what it was. it had happened as a result of another game of truth or drink around 3 months ago, and thankfully, every orgasm with him in those 3 months had been very much legit.
so, when you’d seen him outside the bathroom later you’d clarified.
‘you know i wasn’t talking about you, right?’ you reassured.
‘of course you weren’t’ he answered like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
it had annoyed you. no man should be that confident.
‘oh? confident much?’
he’d leaned in, a little too close for being in public, and said ‘i may not know a lot of things...but i know how to make a woman cum’
and as his thumb softly grazed your lips, he’d stated ‘i know how to make you cum’
‘do you?’ you retorted, moving back ‘or have i been faking it and you just think you’re doing a good job?’
you don’t know why but you kind of wanted to piss him off. i mean sure, you were sleeping with him, but seungcheol was your friend before a fuck and it was always fun messing with him.
‘what are you trying to do?’ he’d asked, an eyebrow raised in mild annoyance.
is this a challenge?
‘i’m not trying to do anything’ big. fat. lies. ‘i’m just saying you’d never know’
sounds like a challenge to him.
(12:40 am)
‘please, no more!’ you move under his arms, writhing desperately.
‘answer the question’ he holds you in place, his grip tightening around you.
‘how many was that?’
‘f-fou-r’
‘did you fake that one?’ he asks softly.
‘no, i didn’t! i fucking swear!’
‘hmmn’ you feel a trail of gentle kisses travel up your neck ‘but you said i would never know, remember?’
seungcheol’s voice sounds sweet. so very sweet. but you know that tone—it's pure condescension masquerading as sweetness.
right now, you’re sitting on the floor, back pressed to seungcheol’s chest, locked in his heavy arms.
after jun’s, he’d offered to drive you home, which had recently become code for ‘let’s go fuck’. and before you could even kiss him at your apartment, he’d grabbed your vibrator.
he’d made you sit in front of the floor length mirror, nestled in between his legs, with a towel laid out underneath as he played with you. were you getting pampered today? maybe.
it sure felt like it after the first orgasm, and the second. but when he’d moved on to your third before you were even done with the last, you realised what this was. a lesson. a lesson for running your mouth.
‘another one then, just to be sure’ he hums, before pressing the vibrator back against your clothed cunt.
40 minutes in and seungcheol hadn’t even bothered to take your panties off. there was something quite erotic about seeing that damp patch on your underwear spread as he made you cum over and over. proof, he called it. and by now you were soaked, the silky fabric clinging to your puffy lips.
you squirm at his words, fingers digging into his skin at the overstimulation. he doesn’t even flinch.
‘look what you’re making me do to you’ he clicks his tongue like it’s a pity. like he doesn’t fucking love it.
‘you know i want to let you go, right? but we just have to be sure so there’s no confusion about this in the future’
subtext: if you ever fucking insinuate that i can’t make you cum, i’ll make you cum until you’re begging me to stop.
you try and wriggle again, but there’s no point—you’re completely at his mercy.
‘tsk, don’t move around so much. you should rest now. you’ll need the energy’ he cooes.
you can only whine helplessly at his words as you feel your brain and body consumed by a familiar high. and so you cum again, moaning his name as you do.
‘how many?’ he asks while you’re still coming down from it.
‘f-five’
‘did you fake that one?’
you tell him you didn’t. you promise.
‘are you sure about that?’
‘i’m sure! seungcheol please’
‘hmmn’ for a second there he actually contemplates letting you go but your cocky little words ring in his ear.
‘i’m not’ sadistic fuck. and once again you feel the relentless vibration as you jerk forward, your legs clamping shut. immediately, seungcheol drags you back, his lips gathered in a pout of displeasure as he drapes one heavy leg over yours to spread you open.
‘where are you going? hmmn?’ he presses the head against your throbbing clit, not letting up for even a second as he forces another orgasm out of you. your sixth.
drained. that’s how you feel after you cum, your body falling limp against his. ‘seungcheol, i’m done’ you whine feebly, hoping to garner a little sympathy.
‘no, no’ he shushes you ‘we’re not close to being done here. i haven’t even seen your pretty pussy yet. how can we be done?’
he leans forward, two fingers grabbing the fabric of your wet panties to pull them aside. ‘how pretty’ he smiles, gaze fixated on your slick cunt, and a split second later you hear the hum of the vibrator again. the second it touches your exposed cunt, a sharp gasp escapes your lips.
‘f-fuck’ you curse, feeling that knot in your stomach just a few minutes later.
‘coming already?’ he taunts as you end up giving him another.
‘that makes seven’ he counts it for you like he’s helping you out. you’re not sure how far he wants to push you today, but you do know you need to make it easier for you somehow.
‘please…can’t anymore…the vibrator’ you manage to string together in between quick gasps. the intensity of it against your swollen clit is too much. you need relief—something soft, something warm, something gentle—like seungcheol’s fingers.
after what seems like forever, the buzzing stops. ‘thank you’ you whimper and are met with a wry chuckle, his body shaking behind you.
‘you shouldn’t thank me yet’ he whispers. one of his big hands wraps around your throat giving it a light squeeze before sliding down your body to your cunt, leaving a trail of goosebumps in its wake.
‘so wet for someone who’s faking it’ he mutters to himself, thick fingers sliding in between your wet folds as he scoops up your arousal, pushing it back inside you. his finger slips in so easily that he adds a second. as he fucks you, fingers moving in and out, a vulgar squelching noise fills the room.
‘so fucking wet’ the softness of his voice now layered with something heavier. you can tell feeling you with his bare hands must’ve really turned him on. or at least that’s what his hard on pressing into your back is saying.
as you watch his fingers disappear inside you and come out all slick and shiny, your body somehow starts to crave another orgasm.
he knows it too. the way your walls begin to squeeze around him as he curls his fingers up, two stimulating your g-spot, while his thumb rubs your clit, all working up an incredibly hard orgasm.
‘go on…let me see you cum for me’ his voice is all you needed to hear, because a second later you come, for the eight time, gushing all over his fingers.
‘look at yourself’ he commands.
you do, looking lazily at your reflection through tired eyes.
‘look’ he grabs your face, forcing you to look.
‘what’s that dripping out of you?’
your eyes drop to the towel that has a very telling wet patch on it. getting overstimulated with the vibrator always made you a little messy but not like this; never like this.
‘answer me’
‘cum’ and so much of it. the way it’s stained the towel, the way it’s spread all over your inner thighs, and the way it’s still dripping out of you is such a pretty sight for seungcheol.
but you’re exhausted. it was so intense and there’s no way you can do it again.
‘seungcheol…i don’t have any left in me’ he can’t help but smile at your silly little statement.
‘no?’ he plays along, pulling you closer. his one hand grabs your breast, softly caressing it, before taking your nipple in between his fingers. his other, slides down to your swollen clit to rub in slow circles. and finally, his soft lips kiss down your neck, peppering little pecks along the way before stopping at that spot that only he knows exists. and as he stimulates all three so slowly and sensually, you feel your body start to betray you.
‘when did you turn into such a little liar, hmm?’ he asks, feeling your body start to tense up like it always did before release. he knows this feeling, he’s felt this over and over for the past three months—you can’t fool him. and as you bite back your moans, it takes over, and you cum again. number nine. seungcheol smiles to himself, and doesn’t stop.
he keeps going despite you just having given him one. it’s sore and sensitive but the way his lips have latched on to that spot on your neck it’s impossible not to surrender.
in a consistent rhythm he builds your high back up - neck. breasts. clit. you look at yourself in the reflection and god, it’s so erotic. the way he’s holding you—tight and completely under his control, his arms flexing as he masturbates you—makes you dizzy.
you want to curse and scream as you cum but you’re too overstimulated to formulate a single thought. only eager little moans spill out of your mouth.
‘go on, i know you want to’ he coaxes as you do, thrashing and tugging at the fabric of his pants.
‘i thought you had no more left in you?’ he teases as you come down from your tenth.
maybe it was a lie before but now you really don’t. isn’t 10 enough? he has to be satisfied with that. there’s a few seconds of silence when you think he might be. he lulls you into a false sense of security as your eyes fall shut, and then the sick sound of the vibrator fills the room again. no.
‘what do i need to do?’ your eyes sting with regret as you feel it touch your extremely sensitive clit.
you know what you need to do. you just don’t want to do it.
he pushes it harder, toying with you. fine.
‘i’m sorry, okay?’ a desperate apology finally spills out.
‘i take it back! you would know if you made me cum’ you whine. he says nothing, simply increasing the intensity.
‘i’m sorry’ your voice breaks as two perfect tears roll down your cheeks. until now, seungcheol had only ever pushed you to tears from the denial of pleasure, never from too much of it. he finds it incredibly arousing.
you’re so fucking cute when you’re desperate’ he says, looking at your pathetic reflection in the mirror. you look so pretty with those wet eyes and a dripping wet pussy that he suddenly feels forgiving.
‘cum for me again and i’ll let you go’ he kisses your neck. a wet little kiss.
‘i can’t’ you cry, tears flowing free now. ‘i can’t’
‘you can’ and you will for him.
‘you’re going to give me one more’ he says like you have no choice in the matter and presses the vibrator harder against you as you grab onto his arms.
‘shhh, don’t cry. be a good girl now and cum for me again. then i’ll believe you’ he cooes.
‘show me…show me how you can’t fake it with me’
as your start to spasm, your body shaking under him, you let out a moan, half of pleasure, half of exhaustion. you grip him harder, nails leaving red scratches all over his pale skin as the orgasm takes over.
he watches, fascinated at how you’re still giving him body shaking, toe curling orgasms after this many; at how your body moves at his command. he’s satisfied.
finally, you hear the buzzing stop as he puts the vibrator away. he wraps both arms around you, holding you in a tight embrace, his lips brushing against your ear.
‘how many was that?’
‘eleven’ you admit, not believing the number coming out of your mouth.
he smiles. god, it feels really fucking good to have been proved right 11 times. his eyes drop to the mess you’ve made—on the towel, on his hands, between your own legs and he feels extremely smug.
‘so, did you learn your lesson?’ he asks sweetly, placing a single kiss on your shoulder.
‘yes! i did. i promise!’
did you? well, if this is your punishment you may just have to piss him off again.

Of course, you never thought of the possibility of the mechanic being the problem. A hot, polite, gentle, and silent-type of problem.
Drowning in debt would be easier to navigate than the blue of Bucky Barnes’s eyes.

Pounding
Tumblr media
Summary: Reader has a migraine, and Spencer wants to help.
Couple: Spencer Reid/Fem!Reader
Category: Hurt/comfort
Content warnings: none
Word count: 1.2k
Tumblr media
The transition of seasons is something that has to be endured. It’s the time when you wake up to frost on your windshield in the morning but must remove your coat by the time you leave work. It is a painful time of inconsistency, especially for your sinuses. Not only with the pollen in the air (as well as on your car at all times) but the dryness as well. It causes your headaches to go from sometimes once a month to now twice a week.
And the first one happens this week, today. The migraine descended on you like a storm, brewing from your nasal cavities, its relentless waves of pain crashing against the shores of your temples. With each throb, the world around you seemed to blur and spin.
You shut the door to your apartment and let your bag fall from your shoulder, with no care with where it lands. Light, food, the smell of home is all too much to bear. With a sigh, you shuffle to the sanctuary of your room and bask in the silence while you can still control it. You unleash yourself from your business casual attire and fall into bed, nestling yourself under the covers.
The darkness relieves pressure, only slightly. It will probably be hours before it has settled, so you think it is best to call it a night now at 5:56 in the evening. There was no point in doing anything else as streetlights alone from the windows have proven to be enough to make the back of your eyes ache. You remained still, motionless, unmoved. Minutes could stretch well into hours without your knowledge.
Until the sound of the front door opened, cutting through the quiet. Spencer was home, which means it’s 6:06 now. The creaking floors from his aged apartment tell you he goes to the kitchen first, the sink runs, then his steps only grow closer to you until you can feel his presence at your back. “Migraine?” He asked, already knowing the answer.
It drains all energy and motivation out of you, so you merely nod in response. He’s more than familiar with severe head pain; chronic migraines that were resolved with a vitamin regimen. Fortunately, he has yet to complain about them bothering you in the year you’ve been together. And he never leaves home without them.
Unfortunately, this makes him eager to figure out your head pains. Last spring, he left out an array of vitamins in a pill organizer. They didn’t. It wasn’t an issue at first. It was clear he was trying to help. The downside of your boyfriend being a child prodigy and objective genius is that he will never back down from a challenge, even when you have asked him to. He can’t do it. Later in the month, he came home one day with an array of tea brands, mostly ginger and peppermint. He’s bought humidifiers, massaged the cartilage of your nose, and even consulted Reddit. It’s certainly worn down your patience, especially when you require complete silence.
“I can get you some hot compresses from the pharmacy if you want.” He jumps in completely. The last three words are merely to cushion the obvious; reiterating the point rather than saying something like, “I’ve had headaches before. I know how awful they are, so you should let me help you.” Which he’s also said.
You continue the annoying pattern by shaking your head with an audible moan. Opening your eyes hurts.
“What about nasal spray or decongestant? I can get those at the pharmacy as well.”
“I don’t need anything from the pharmacy. I took ibuprofen. Just need to keep my eyes closed.”
“Well, that can only help so much today. Saline will help encourage drainage and expansion in the vessels. Ibuprofen solves the head pain, not the root problem.”
“Unless the BAU can order planting fruit trees, it’s the best we can do.”
“What I’m trying to say is—”
You groan louder. “This isn’t a time for solutions, Spencer.”
Another unfortunate aspect of your relationship is that you can feel the way Spencer’s face softens from your tone. He then mutters out an apology, a brief sorry, but he doesn’t leave. He touches your shoulder and keeps his hand there until you turn to face him. And because you love him very much, you strain to open your eyes. You can make out a blur of his silhouette in the growing darkness, but still see clearly his glossy eyes and the quirk of his lips. “Can you do something for me first, though? Real quick?”
Before you answer, his hand slides toward your upper back, meaning you have to sit up for this. You were ready to say something along the line that he’s lucky you love him right now and leave it at that because thinking further made the pressure in your temples increase.
You didn’t have to speak at all, though. Because Spencer is also holding a glass of water in front of you. You look up at Spencer’s puppy-eyed silhouette. “Not a solution,” he says softly. “It’s something you always need.”
Well, if that didn’t make you feel like an asshole. You accepted the glass without a word, feeling the coolness against your palm as you brought it to your lips. Each sip, at the very least, a distraction from the throbbing. Spencer watches you closely. You had no choice but to finish the whole glass. And you did, leaving Spencer satisfied enough as he took the glass and walked out.
You didn’t say a word. The sink ran again, and Spencer returned with another full glass. He doesn’t hand it to you, instead puts it on the nightstand before turning precariously on his heels. It takes you a second through half-closed eyes to realize he’s walking back out. You’re afraid to ask, wondering if you’ve made him too upset to talk. You push yourself and do so anyway, keeping your tone in mind. “Where are you going?”
Spencer turns on his heels once more, looking around momentarily like there were others in the room. He then looks at you. “I figured you wanted to be alone.”
You reach out, moving through the pain quite literally, and you catch the polyester of his cardigan just between your fingers and pull him closer until you can wrap your arms around him. You hold your breath, knowing the intense smell of his laundry detergent would be enough to collapse down to your pillow in further pain. His cardigan is soft against your face. “Do you have other stuff to do?”
He chuckles, his abdomen bounces. So, he’s not too mad. “I do not.”
Encouraged by his response, you tug him gently (and not so gracefully) into bed. He’s delightfully warm. Spencer kicks off his shoes in response before pulling you close. Then you bury your face into his chest, hesitant to breathe in the scent of cedar that clings to the cardigan. You try best to ignore it as you cocoon yourselves beneath the blankets, finding refuge in each other’s company amidst the inner turmoil that comes with spring. You listen to the steady rhythm of Spencer’s heartbeat, and find a fleeting sense of peace in the storm.

Just rewatched JJK and my god the things nanami made me FEEL. My brain immediately started to think about how he would be in a relationship and I’m currently sobbing in the dark right now, I’m so in love with this man
SFW and NSFW
SFW:
Nothing just…
Gentleman treatment that he thinks is normal and doesn’t understand why you’re so obsessed with it. He ties your shoes for you, he gets you fresh flowers but always keeps one in for himself so he can see when they wilt to get you new ones <333. One of his love languages is cooking and you’ll never get over the way he always wants you try out new dishes he made for you. When he gets you trinkets everywhere he goes that remind him of you, or when he remembers all the things you say. He really thinks it’s all the bare minimum buy you still melt.
Long talks at night when both of you are tired but just can’t go to sleep because you just keep the conversation going.
He does things that he doesn’t understand why you like you just do because he knows it makes you happy <3 Like pictures of his hands and rolling up his sleeves halfway when he cooks. Or your weird obsession with sweatpants and compression shirts.
He entertains all your obsessions and quirks and never makes fun of you. You want that $70 dollar squishmallow? Goddamit you’re getting it. Even when you insist he shouldn’t and it was just a thing you thought of
“Why? Because it makes you happy.”
Nanami coming home from overtime late at night seeing you all curled up in bed. You’re wearing one of his shirts and his heart aches at how cute you are, little moments like these makes him just fall in love with you as he sees your rhythmic breathing and slips into bed, you’re asleep but you just wrap your arms around him instinctively.
He doesn’t always understand your humor or your tastes but he doesn’t care. When he sees you smile he smiles. Even if he has no idea what a “bombastic side eye” is.
When he does put in an effort to learn slang and gen-z humor he’s always somehow four years behind.
“Would this constitute as, ‘spilling the tea’? He just randomly said one day as you were ranting about work or something.
You almost choke on your own spit from laughing and he didn’t realize that it was that funny. You didn’t have it in your heart to explain to him that no one uses that anymore, and you instead tell him how proud of him you are. Or sometimes he’ll show you a minion meme on Facebook and you laugh at how silly he is sometimes trying. He still to this day seeks those things out thinking you laugh because the meme itself is funny, because all he looks for is what makes you laugh and smile.
He says things that are actually funny so casually you never even notice right away until you think about it after a second. His sheer sarcasm and wit never ceases to entertain you and challenge you endlessly.
NSFW:
Not once did he ever make an advancement on you without you either saying you wanted it or doing it first. Now, everytime you mention this he always insists that this is what everyone should do, and he quirks a brow as you somehow have gotten even more hot and bothered by his communication. He’s such a gentleman at heart he forgets how many other men don’t do the same.
The thing about him is that he’s just so hot without even trying.
You’re on his lap in a mostly dark room with nothing but candlelight, you’ve just had an amazing make out session, his tie is loose, his hair is ruffled, and his face is hot. As much as he wants to do to you he still whispers in your ear asking what you want. And with the heat of the moment, his deep voice and staggered breaths just absolutely pushes you over the edge. You don’t know how to tell him all the absolute pure sinful filth that he makes you think without even trying. To him he’s just asking a question.
Or sometimes in the opposite sense, he accidentally dirty talks his way into your bed with his honesty.
“I’ve thought about fucking you in my office for a while now...”
He said with a finger under his chin. He just said it so casually one night during a normal conversation.
He’s so blissfully ignorant to the effect that he has over you. that’s a curse and blessing.
It leads to him not understanding why you’re suddenly turned on when all he was doing was folding laundry, or when he stretched in his chair and then that led to you to fucking in the bathroom. Other times it’s hilarious seeing him so confused as to how you could possibly be so into him.
He’s excellent at taking his time with you. Your needs come first, even if you don’t know what you want he’ll always figure it out to give you the best of himself he can offer.
The idea of someone being interested into him wasn’t new, but the realization that you were sexually attracted to him just by existing was completely new.
His endurance is insane. It’s usually whenever you’re done. Because hardly ever could he be brought to the point of quitting
The amount of self control he has to exude when he’s with you is absolutely wild. You never knew until one night during he was really focused and agitated for some reason. You were cockwarming him, and for the longest time you thought that he was infinitely patient, that nothing you could’ve done would have ever made him crazy.
You were so desperate and were writing around him trying to feel just the slightest bit of movement. You involuntarily clench around him and you start to hear him take a sharp inhale everytime you do, you got curious and trekked into dangerous waters of seeing how much you could tease him. He was working on paperwork, the sound of his pen would stop and then go back into writing again everytime you moved or twitched. This had been going on for what felt like hours… you had insisted on joining him at work because you missed him too much. He agreed under the condition that you didn’t distract him.
He knew deep down that it wouldn’t have worked out anyway. But he kept cutting corners for you.
“Fine. one kiss.”
“You can sit on me but you have to be quiet.”
“Only if you don’t move.”
You became a whimpering desperate mess. You didn’t care about the agreement anymore he was taking forever!
You had your nails digging to the back of his neck, other hand on his shoulder trying to keep yourself quiet as you kept whimpering into his ear
You were starting to think he didn’t care at all until one particular clench and you heard a clean snap becauee he had broken his pen in his hand.
His other hand flew to your hips and grabbed on with a brutal force that happened so sudden you jumped
He rested his forehead on your shoulder and took a deep breath in.
So you did have an affect on him after all…
Feeling him lose control made you only more horny. You wondered how far you could push him before you heard his fist slam down on the table and he mumbled into your ear
“I asked you to not move.”
You muttered out a quiet sorry, you just couldn’t control yourself sitting around him like this. The curve of his dick just hit you so perfectly.
“Why won’t you fuck me?”
You had moaned into his ear
“Is that what you want?”
Fucking obviously! You shifted your hips against his one more time as he increased his grip on your hip with a bruising force making you let out an involuntary moan.
“You were so quiet I thought you didn’t want to..”
He looked into your eyes, lifting up his glasses
“Of course I do.”
“You didn’t show it.”
Both your breaths were hitched, you were giving him these “fuck me” eyes and it took every ounce of restraint within him not to do what he wanted.
He let out another strong exhale
“It takes me everything I have to not lose control with you.”
Fuck you were so horny right now you couldn’t even think right. His sudden assertiveness and desperation, the way you had been ready for him for so long and you just had to sit there, his hands, everything.
“Why do you hold yourself back?”
“I have to know you want it first.”
“I do!” You whined at him
“Are you sure?” He gave you a pleading look.
“Yes! Please, please ‘nami…”
You buried your face in his neck
The last thing you remembered clearly was him muttering “fuck” under his breath.

A Night at the Bar
Tumblr media
Pairing: felix x reader
Pt.2 Here
Summary: A regular night out with your friends turns into something more when you meet a new kid going to your school
Warnings: fem reader, dom reader, sub felix, college!au (everyone’s 18+), dry humping (he grinds against her leg, whatever that’s called), nipple play, mommy kink, pet names, oral (f receiving), probably more that I forgot
Word Count: 6.8k
A/N: So I’ve been asked a few times of I have a taglist and I was wondering if you guys wanted me to make one? Just lmk. Anyway, as always ignore my bad grammar and possible spelling mistakes lol
18+ Minors DNI
It had been an uneventful night.
All you had really wanted to do was stay home, cuddle up in some blankets and watch a movie, maybe even make some microwave popcorn.
But, the people you decidedly called friends refused to let you spend yet another Saturday night being a quote unquote ‘hermit’, holed up in your apartment like always.
“Besides, school is starting soon! Don’t you wanna get out before you’re going to have a truckload of schoolwork to worry about?” Samantha claimed while rummaging through your closet, settling on an outfit and throwing it in your direction. “Put this on.”
So they dragged you to the new bar that opened down the street.
Music made its way outside from within, low bass pounding in your head before you even entered the place. You rubbed at your temples, grimacing at the way the headache building in the forefront of your brain throbbed in protest.
It started out fine, as it always did.
Gossiping about your classmates and teachers and updating the others on whatever happened in your life lately.
But then it got boring. And when it got boring, desperate measures were pulled out.
Your friends pestered you about turning away the guys approached you, offering you free drinks. They scrutinized you for sending away a ‘hot’ one, telling you that you needed to take charge and finally get a permanent man as opposed to your regular hook-ups.
And so they took up the challenge upon themselves.
Firstly: What was your type?
“What about him?”
“Really? He’s pretty cute.”
Secondly: Judging you base on the fact that you didn’t like any of the guys they suggested
“Him?”
“Why not?”
“Yeah, he’s fit. You must be blind if you don’t want him.”
“Like, look at those muscles, that hair!”
Thirdly: Getting mad and giving up on the game
“Well what is your type then?”
“Come on! Why are you like this? We’re just trying to have some fun! Don’t take it so personal!”
When they were done bothering you about boys like excited schoolgirls, they switched up topics and moved on to begging you to dance with them.
As the bright lights flashed leaving coloured imprints in your vision, you bluntly told them no.
The idea of dancing right now felt gross and judging by the way the sweaty bodies of the crowd moved, with gyrating hips and wandering hands. ‘Whispering’ that was almost yelling and guys on the side with drinks watching like they were searching for their next prey.
Nope. Absolutely not. You wanted no part of that and no amount of begging could make you. Refusing, you ordered another drink as they boo’d at you, fake heckling as they left.
And finally, you were alone. Well as alone as you could be in a crowded bar that was a prime way for everyone there to catch the flu, which was actually going around right now.
In fact, you shouldn’t have even left your house today. You should’ve stayed home with your blankets and popcorn and proceeded to binge watch your favourite show for the 50th time.
You wished with every ounce of your being that you could go back in time and tell yourself to never go out tonight.
You should’ve turned down your friends and stayed in the warmth and comfor-
The next thought disappeared.
It wasn’t an electric spark like movies describe attraction but it was...something. Something that caught your attention. Made you freeze in place, eyes caught, unable to look away even if you wanted to-and you didn’t want to.
Maybe it wasn’t such a bad idea to come out here after all...
Brown-his eyes were brown.
And his blond hair was mussed as if someone had purposely shaken it up. His face was youthful-around the same age as you with adorable freckles dusting across his rosy pink cheeks and makeup probably better than your own.
Something akin to a shy smile played across lips. He licked them and looked away for a split second then back at you as if he was checking to see that it was really him you were looking at.
You smiled, he was cute.
Your friends were wondering what exactly your type was.
This.
This was your type.
The cute ones that looked softer, sweeter. Nervous with almost hint of uncertainty. Body language alone that conveyed they were gentle. A touch feminine in a way if that was an appropriate thing to say.
He lifted his hand and gave a little wave, awkward with a smile to match but endearing.
Adorable.
Yes. This one, whoever he was, was your type.
Should you gesture for him to come over? Or should you walk over?
Someone said something and his gaze left yours.
You huffed, taking another sip of your drink. Too late for that now, you thought bitterly.
But still, you couldn’t stop staring.
He was with his friends, on the opposite side of the room. Loud and practically screaming in their corner of the bar, laughing and slapping each other on the back.
You could recognize a few of them.
Chan you have a few classes with and had worked together for several group projects. The two of you exchange conversations now and then in class and you could confidently say that you were friends.
And you could pick out Seungmin and Hyunjin from past interactions or travelling word. The rest of them you could recognize from passing in the halls or seeing around in general but you couldn’t quite place names on.
But you’d never seen that one before.
Maybe he went to another college or didn’t go to one at all. Maybe he was one of their family members and was visiting.
Enough speculation, you were gonna find out.
You downed the rest of the cup and crossed the bar, shoes clicking with every step.
“Channie!”
Eyes turned to you at the use of his name and Chan laughed with a smile, opening his arms for a hug. “Y/N!”
You obliged, letting him pull you into his arms whilst trying to ignore the scent of alcohol coming in waves off of him. He hung off of you, drunkenly slurring to the others, “Guys! This is Y/N! Y/N, meet the guys!”
You jumped slightly, wincing as he yelled it in your ear. “No need to yell. I’m right here.”
Chan slapped a hand over his mouth, eyes wide in a comical way. “Sorry.” He whispered loudly.
“Sorry about him. He’s kinda drunk.” One of them offered.
“Thanks, I couldn’t tell.”
Someone snorted at the smirk you made and you turned to see the whole reason you’d approached in the first place.
He blushed, silver ear piercings glimmering in the dim lighting.
“Sorry, I’m not familiar with all your names.” All while you spoke the words your eyes never left him. Those ridiculously cute freckles hypnotizing you.
Chan broke the trance with his slurred speech, stumbling slightly and almost putting you straight on your ass with his weight. “That’s Han,”
He only gestured in the general direction so your only clue as to who he was pointing to was the way the man you assumed was Han waved with a bright smile.
“That’s...Hyunjin,”
You smiled with a nodded head in greeting toward him. “That’s Changbin, um Jeongin and a-” Chan gestured wildly with his hand, eyes barely staying open, “...Seungmin!”
Each waved at their name, making your life much easier as you struggled to support your friend’s weight.
Suddenly Chan got up and stumbled over to one of them. “That’s Lee Know.”
The poor boy’s eyes widened as his Chan stumbled, foot catching on nothing but thin air as he tripped over his own feet, falling straight into him, both of the boys falling to the ground like a sack of potatoes.
You nearly laughed at the pissed expression on Lee Know’s face. They were both covered in the drink he had been holding when his hyung knocked him over.
They were all rushing around you to pick up Chan, unpinning the other boy from under him while the others went to the bar to ask for napkins to try and clean the mess up.
The chaos ensued and you tried your best to help but in the end you ended up just standing there, watching on the sidelines as the others handled in cleaning everything.
“I’m Felix.”
You hadn’t realized he was that close until he’d spoken, close enough that you could feel his warm breath against your neck and smell of mint and beer in his breath.
At your flinch, he chuckled awkwardly, laugh deep just like his voice. “Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you...It’s just that Chan-um,” his stutter increased when you turned to look at him. The weight of your steely gaze settled on him once more sending chills down his spine. “I uh, -sorry what’s your name?”
You laughed, a beautiful sound.
He wanted to make you do it again.
Felix hadn’t wanted to go to the bar that night either.
The others had said they were gonna show him around tonight, just give him the basic run-down of where everything was but then Han had pointed out that this place had just opened.
The next thing he knew, they were in the bar, drinking and laughing.
And it wasn’t that he didn’t like partying or going out like the rest of his friends, he just didn’t want to go out specifically tonight.
The area was new and he’d much rather explore the rest of the city than be here in a loud sticky bar. Sure he’d visited a few times and could recognize a few streets but now he was moving here to pursue his dancing career. He needed to at least know how to get to school on his own before it started.
“I’m Y/N, as Chan said.” God, he wanted to cry. Here he was, talking to you, someone beautiful and most likely out of his league. Acting like a blushing schoolboy with his first crush.
“O-oh yeah, what Chan said. I’ve had a few drinks tonight-I’m really sor-”
“-no need to keep apologizing Love, it’s okay.” you purred, smirking at the way he blushed, eyes averting as he subconsciously licked his lips.
“I was wondering if you could uh, drive Chan and I home? I’m bunking with him right now and well both of us have had a few drinks...”
You pursed your lips. “Why doesn’t one of the others take you then?”
Felix’s eyes widened as he scrambled for an answer. “Well-...they are going to their own place for the night.”
It was a lame excuse and he knew it. You knew it. Anyone who heard it would know it. But nonetheless, you were going to do it as long as you got to stay with the pretty boy a little bit longer.
“Okay.” You looked over the swaying bodies to see Chan being supported by Han and Seungmin with his arms swung around their shoulders.
“I think that we should leave soon before the poor boys are left permanently deaf.” You pointed out, Felix’s attention turning towards the way his roommate was screaming into the two boy’s ears.
“I agree.”
It wasn’t easy attempting to get the older boy’s nearly limp sluggish body into your car.
The entire time he screamed about random topics such as what he ate for lunch yesterday and raving about how much he loved Seungmin, who told him to shut up as he clipped on the seatbelt.
Felix started to get into the passenger before you stopped him, throwing a paper bag at him. “Nope, you’re in the back making sure Channie here doesn’t make a mess in my car.”
Reluctantly, he got into the back. A sad expression, reminding you of a kicked puppy plastered across his face.
The car ride was loud, with Chan shouting unintelligible nonsense and Felix apologizing to you over and over with you telling him to shut up and stop apologizing.
Three stops for Chan to barf on the side of the street and what could’ve been a ten minute drive that resulted in an almost half an hour drive because Felix barely knew his way there, later you finally arrived at their house.
Together, you and Felix lugged him to his room. His body weighing on your like a bundle of bricks.
As soon as he saw his bed your friend flopped backwards onto it with the coordination and gracefulness of a baby deer walking for the first time.
“Should we do anything else? Dress him or something?” You wondered aloud as he promptly fell asleep, not so quiet snores leaving him.
“Nah, he should be fine.” He led you out of Chan’s room and into the kitchen which was opened to connect with the living room.
He rummaged around, gesturing for you to sit on the barstool which you graciously obliged. “You hungry for anything?”
“I’m good, baby. I should probably actually get going.” You pulled out your phone, sending a quick text to your friends who bombarded you with messages and voicemails wondering where you were. Too wrapped up in that to see the way he froze at the name.
He didn’t want to admit how the names you called him affected him.
Didn’t want to admit the fantasies that ran through his head when he heard you say them, rolling smoothly off your tongue.
Baby, Love, you called him those and they all made him so, so needy. Needy for you. For you to whisper them to him as he sat on his knees between your legs, gripping his hair between your fingers, controlling his movements the way you wanted to.
The thought was enough to get him hardening. He internally cursed himself, hoping you wouldn’t notice.
You looked up to only see him frowning, “No! Don’t go.” You slid your phone into your bag, jaw clenching.
Had it been any other situation you would’ve said yes. Any other random guy’s house you would’ve probably already been on top of him, finding all of those places that would make him cry out in pleasure.
But he was drunk. And you were still level-headed enough to know that it would be wrong for you to do anything with him in that state.
“I think I should, both of you guys are good now.” You got up from the seat, slipping your bag over your shoulder, giving him a friendly smile to mask the want that you were sure was apparent in your expression.
He crossed the kitchen, leaving the leftovers he’d pulled out of the fridge, getting close. “Please don’t go.” The small whine in his words left you wanting to shove him against the kitchen counter and wreck him here and now.
He was drunk. That was that and you weren’t going to do anything but you were still curious. “Why should I stay?”
His mouth opened then closed. Eyes falling down to your lips, trailing farther down to what would be considered indecent before snapping back to your face.
“What would you say if I asked you to kiss me?” He asked so innocently with a big pout, bottom lip jutted out.
His eyes told an entirely different story as his face, lust blown pupils wide enough to swallow the entire iris of his pretty brown eyes.
You moved closer to him. Close enough to count the individual freckles on his face. “I’d say you were drunk.”
His frown deepened and he moved backwards, grabbing your arms to pull you with him until the couch hit the back of his knees and slowly, without breaking eye contact he laid back…
With that, he looked down to the wrist he was holding before lifting your hand up to those pretty pouted lips, slipping your middle and pointer finger into his warm wet mouth.
His head cocked to the side as he wrapped his legs around your hips making you stumble right up against him and his very obvious hard-on.
Holy fuck.
A hot liquid tension filled the room and you tried to restrain yourself from jumping him then and there. “You’re drunk Felix.”
But god, the way your fingers felt in his mouth, wet tongue laving around them before lapping; a lewd sucking sound that had you clenching around nothing, almost taking over your rationality as he took your digits farther down as if he was trying to deepthroat them.
Unlatching from you he looked up, eyes serious albeit still wide with want. “I’m not drunk. I swear.”
“How many drinks did you have tonight?”
“Two.” He thrusted against you and you bite your lip to keep the moan at bay.
“Are you sure?”
He sat up, nuzzling his face into the crook of your neck. “Yes.” A stray whimper left him, the noise shooting arousal straight between your legs. “I sobered up in the car. I promise.”
Your bag slipped off your shoulder and fell to the floor as his thrusts continued. Heavy pants and whines leaving him in earnest at the friction his tight pants provided as he ground against you.
It was getting increasingly harder to not shove him back onto the couch but you needed to be absolutely sure. “Are you a hundred percent positive Lix? Don’t lie to me just because you want me to fuck you, Love.”
You could feel him shiver at your words, ignoring all but the last one. His plush lips moving against your throat, biting and licking your heated skin causing a traitorous moan to leave you with a gasp.
“Felix.” Your fingers laced into his hair, pulling him back to look at you.
He let out a helpless cry. From being pulled away from you, from the delicious feeling of you pulling his hair, from the way your other hand held his hips down preventing him from moving.
“Are you absolutely sure? We can do this another time if you are but don’t lie to me just because you wanna get your dick wet right now.”
You didn’t tell him that was a lie. That you most likely wouldn’t seek him out again but you needed to be sure if you were going to do anything with him tonight.
His hips desperately tried to move in vain at the grip you had on him, hard enough to leave bruises on his pale flesh. “I promise! ‘M sober!”
You leaned ever so closer, the tips of your noses touching. The feel of his warm breath against your lips. If you moved ever so slightly...your lips would touch his. “Then what do you want me to do baby?”
A glassy sheen covered his eyes as he whined.
“Please.”
And just like that you could hear the sound of your willpower snapping clean in two.
Tilting your head to slot your lips against his. He whimpered out, your fingers growing ever so tighter in his hair as the other switched from holding his hips in place to setting them at a pace to grind hard and quick against you.
His mouth opened wider, allowing more access for your tongue to slip inside. Your moans rang out in sync, breathless and wanting as his heels dug into your back trying to pull you impossibly closer into him.
Arms move around your neck, clinging so helplessly, so wanting, as if he thought that if he let go of you now you’d disappear out of thin air and leave him here all alone.
You kissed him raw and hard until you had no choice but to pull away from lack of air, leaving his lips with a bite to his bottom one while dragging him by his hair away.
There’s spit glistening all over his lips and a blush coats his face and neck, already looking so fucked out. “Love,” an involuntary shiver ran through him, almost violent through his vulnerable state. “Lift your arms for me.”
He obeys with no question, unlatching from around your neck to raise them above his head, letting you lift the hem of his shirt over and throw it somewhere forgotten on the floor.
“Lay back kitten.”
The name is received with a mewl, almost exactly as like a cats and he nods quickly, you feel his heart race under your touch, breath heaving faster. His legs loosen but don’t let go as he falls back onto the couch.
And fuck, you wish you could take a picture.
Make a painting out of it. The beauty of it rivalling the finest of the renaissance. You’d hang it up where only you could see it, remembering each time you looked at it the way he looks here and now forever. Look back at it and see how utterly gorgeous he was.
Yes, this was exactly your type.
Felix bit his kiss-bruised lips, blond hair highlighted against the black fabric of the coach. You let out a soft groan to see that the freckles continued down his chest, littering all over his chest and shoulders.
“Shit, kitten. ‘M gonna ruin you.”
The words were meant to be smooth but they came out nearly a moan as you leaned over him to trace your nails along the spots and his pretty pink nipples, watching with a smirk of satisfaction as he squirmed under you, loose whimpers and restrained moans coming from him as you rubbed the buds, quickly turning into hard peaks from your ministrations.
“So sensitive aren’t you? ‘S anyone else ever played with your nipples before baby?”
He gave you no reply. Too caught up in the moment, too lost in the new sensations you were gifting him. Too dumbed down to the pleasure to control the words falling from his lips. “Please Momm-.”
Just barely catching himself, he tensed, eyes flashing to look up at you, hoping you didn’t notice the words or the reaction to them he had.
He’d never meant to call someone that in bed before. Much less you, beautiful and somehow willing to give him a chance.
Sure, he’d felt like saying it tons of times before. With his past girlfriend he’d accidentally called her it while he’d been thrusting into her in missionary. She was submissive just like him and had just called him daddy. They’d both already known about their similarities and had just rolled with whatever happened in the moment but apparently this was too far for her and she’d broken up with him because of it.
What would you think? Call him a freak and leave? Leave him now, all needy and horny. Spread out on the couch like this?
The thought was enough for his thighs to tighten around you, pushing you to put your entire weight onto him. He didn’t want you to leave, couldn’t even stand the thought.
You stopped. Stopped your thrusts. Stopped the way your fingers danced along his chest in a way that made his head spin in the best possible way. Stopped it all and a voice deep inside his brain screamed in protest, his head burying into your neck, hoping to anything that you wouldn’t leave him.
“I asked you a question, Felix.”
His head was hazy. He couldn’t remember what you’d said, didn’t even think he’d heard the question in the first place.
Luckily, you spared the poor boy, pulling him back to look at you.
Shit, here it comes. You’re gonna call him disgusting and gross which he could handle if you wouldn’t look at him with those disgusted eyes that made him want to cry and not in a good way.
But you don’t say those words?
Instead what comes out of those perfect lips is, “Do you want Mommy to make you feel good baby?”
Was he dreaming? He felt like in he was in a dream.
That same voice from before shrieked in happiness.
“Yes! Please Mommy! Need you, ah!” His fingers gripped onto your hair as your lips latched around one of his hardened buds, nipping slightly before sucking. “Ha! God! Please, fe-feel so good, don’t-don’t stop, please Mommy!” He sobbed.
His words had heat zinging straight to your core and you began grinding against him harder and harder, trying satiate that ache settling between your legs.
He watched in a lust-filled fascination, trying to keep his eyes from rolling into the back of his skull, trying to keep his tongue from hanging out of his mouth as strands of drool dripped down his chin. But he couldn’t keep back the breathy incoherent pleas, mixtures of faster and slower and close and mommy that had you clenching around nothing.
You could tell he was close, very close. Not only from the way he chanted it, repeating the words over and over like they were the only things left in that pretty head of his. But also by the way his breathing grew erratic, his pulse hammering and fluttering in his chest against your lips.
And then...and then it...stopped?
He whimpered at the sudden loss of stimulation, eyes flying open to stare at you, glittering with unshed tears and confusion. They searched yours, as if he could figure out why you stopped in the depth of them. And he could. The teasing light in them. An inward smirk as he cried out and rutted up against you, trying to chase the high that was quickly dissipating.
Your finger still traced over his pecs, soothing and tantalizing all the same. “W-why’d you stop?” He whined in frustration at your lack of movement.
Red splotches that you know will turn to purple bruises covered the expanse of his chest. Such a pretty visual just for you to see.
Just for you, no one else. Your little toy to play with and ruin, to use for your pleasure and he’ll love it all the same.
Sweat and saliva covered him-both yours and his. It was gross and lewd and fucking hot.
“Jus’ wanna play with you for a bit, baby? Don’t you wanna let Mommy feel good too, Lixie?”
He nodded with vigor, chest still heaving and hips still subtly trying to press up against you which you let slide from the way that sparks of pleasure shot up your spine.
“Yes Mommy, Lixie wants to make you feel good too...” His voice was higher now and he paused as if trying to decide whether if he should continue or not. “Could I...um...”
You tilted his chin up and nodded for him to continue. “Could I eat you out...?” He was so quiet you nearly missed the question but decided to spare him from repeating himself as you bit your lip to feign thinking.
“Aww, does baby wanna taste Mommy?” Despite the teasing lilt, he nodded, earrings jingling with the movement.
You smiled and let your hand ghost down his neck, feeling his throat bob under your hand. Milky skin soft and smooth, practically begging to be marked up by you.
Finally after what felt like forever of teasing touches and small kisses, working him up only to back away once his moans got loud.
You repeated it several times before pulling away completely. Felix whined in protest, making desperate grabby hands at you as your hands untwined his legs from around your waist.
“Be a good boy for me and get on your knees baby.”
His whines quieted down at that. And he slid off the couch, falling to his knees on the hardwood floor eagerly wide-eyed.
His hands folding behind his back, looking up at you with a pleading look, completing the perfect picture of obedience.
‘Just when I thought he couldn’t get any prettier,’ you mused, letting yourself sink back into the couch, spreading your legs to make room for the boy.
It was so hard to restrain yourself from ravaging him then and there, edging him until he cried from the pleasure, begging you to stop and let him cum and still ignoring him.
Going on and on until you decided that he had enough.
You beckoned him toward you and with no hesitation he was scooting closer and pressing his face sweetly against your lower stomach, looking up at you in a silent ask of permission.
He shudders against between your legs as your hand reaches down to play with his hair, lightly scratching at his scalp. Eyes shut in bliss he begins to nose against you. "Please."
It’s a whine-a plea, a beg to let him give you pleasure.
“Yes,”
The warm, comforting smile he gives as he stares up at you makes your heart skip a beat.
Tantalizingly slow, he tugs at the waistband of your pants, lifting yourself up so the fabric falls to pool around your ankles. And with an ungraceful pull, they’re landing somewhere across the room to find later on.
A shudder runs down your spine as you feel his hot breath lightly ghosting across you. And with open-mouthed kisses and nudges he slowly parts your legs, coaxing you to vocalize how good it feels.
He looks unsure.
And he is. He hasn’t done this in awhile, doesn’t really remember what to do. His eyes flash up in quick glances to to see your face, trying to decipher if you enjoy what he’s doing or not.
A soft moan escapes your lips as he teases you, nipping and mouthing everywhere but where you need him most. But you can’t tell if it’s from inexperience.
Then your eyes catch him and you can tell by the way he periodically glances up at you between licks, stopping when you seem to be enjoying it that it’s a kind of payback from your teasing earlier.
“Lix.” You warn, a subtle edge in your voice telling him to hurry up.
He stops with a whine, unable to do anything but melt against the comfort of your plush thighs. He wishes that he could stay like this forever you, devouring you and hearing the way you praise him and-
“Lix.” You warn again, voice hardening as your hips start to push towards him in slow restrained grinds.
He pauses to look up at you with hearts in his eyes before his attention moves back down, watching, heart pounding and cock throbbing as evidence of your arousal drips down your skin and onto the fabric of the couch; practically salivating.
Growing too impatient with him, you grip his hair and shove his face into your pussy, throwing your head back with a moan as his tongue begins to eagerly lap at you.
He whines into you, the vibrations provoking a drawn-out groan that has something bubbling up deep inside you.
“Mm, such a good little slut for me kitten.” Breath hitching as his lips wrap around your clit, sucking gently. “Yes~”
His ever-willing need to please you, he shifts closer and pulls one leg over his shoulder allowing him to more access of you. At this you can do nothing but bite your lip and find purchase in his silky smooth hair, digging your fingers-almost painfully-into his scalp.
It doesn’t faze him, if anything it makes him go harder as he continues to lick you, alternating between deep thrusts of his warm muscle into you and harsh tonguing around the bundle of nerves.
“Oh, yes baby. You’re doing so good, ha, making me feel s-so good kitten,” He whimpers at the praise, the vibrations pulling a deep groan that has him palming himself over his pants.
You’d greatly underestimated the skills of the boy. A tongue on him like no other that had you gasping for air.
With your fingers already intertwined in his hair it’s easy to pull him away from you. He whines and tries in vain to bury his face into your pussy again but it’s your steely grip that prevents him as his long tongue sticks out, far as it can go.
He pouts with a long whine, “Mommy...”
You’re breathless at the view, him between your legs, your leg hitched over his shoulder, bottom lip jutted out, his face covered in your juices as he shamelessly bucks into his hand.
It’s positively erotic.
You don’t say a thing, drinking him in. Before you finally challenge, “If you can make me come before you do,” gesturing toward his little problem, “then I’ll let you come. If you don’t...” you shrug, letting the challenge hang in the air, waiting with a bated breath to see his reaction.
Nodding once, quick and determined he dives back in with a new fervor, lapping and licking all around you. Whining and whimpering, gasping breaths and making noises out of some kind of cheap submissive boy porn, desperate in his mission to please you.
And it isn’t long until you’re gasping as well. Sucking gulps of air into your breathless lungs, lightheaded as waves of pleasure pulse through your veins and flood throughout your body.
Praises and degrading terms fall from your lips, calling him a good boy, your little toy, your precious baby, your slut, your Lixie. Marvelling at how he’s so willing to please, acting like a whore as he gets hard from just tasting you.
Telling him how good he’s making you feel, mindless blabber that he eats up, moaning into you and rutting harder against his hand, hanging onto your every word.
He’s close, he knows it and he knows that you are too. The way your legs tense around him and your words raise higher in pitch. Telling him not to stop, that you’re close, that he’s your good little kitten
And that’s all he wants to be.
In this vey moment all he wants to be is a perfect little brainless toy for you, pleasing you, craving your touch and aching for your hands on his body.
One last suck to your clit and you come with a cry, fisting his hair tightly. That mixed with the way your thighs tremble and clench around his head, holding him in place. He nearly comes too, mewling causing shockwaves of overstimulation to run through you.
It takes a few minutes for you to come down, finally releasing his head and petting his hair.
Only to realize the way he humps up against your leg. Tongue hanging out, thrusting like a bitch in heat as he moves faster and faster, chasing his high.
But he doesn’t expect you to meet his thrusts, pushing your foot to meet him, he lets out a loud gasp, palming at your legs for more. “Look at you, baby,” you coo, hand slithering down to press against his lips.
He opens, inviting your digits in with little prompting, resuming in his efforts. “Such a pretty little kitten for me...” your other legs slips off his shoulder, planting it more suitably against the ground. “Getting off on my leg like a little kitty in heat aren’t you?”
Frustrated tears slip down the angles of his face, farther ruining his already smudged makeup as a gargled moan slips out around your fingers.
The thought of the blushing cute boy you met eyes with a the bar, contrasting to the one you see now. On his knees below you, humping your leg at an earnest pace as those pretty brown eyes you intensely stared at earlier slip back and finally shut. In fact, his entire head slips back. Blunt nails dig into the soft skin of your leg and high pitched whines vibrate in his throat.
He can hardly think and hardly wants to.
Felix wants nothing more than to be reduced only to the mind-numbing ache pulsing heavy between his legs. Nothing but pleasure and sensation, overwhelming and all-consuming.
The feel of you comforting him through, fingers pressing firm on his tongue while the other rubs over his throat and jaw. He’s finally free to. To lose himself in it all knowing that you’ll be just as happy to watch him falling apart because you know it’s happening because of you.
“Come whenever you need to kitten. Mommy’s gonna take care of you. S’okay.” And he lets go with whimper, clinging to your leg like a lifeline, comforted knowing that you’re there the whole way through.
Nothing compares to this feeling; floating as waves of ecstasy wash over him unyielding and harsh, making his toes curl and stealing the breath from his lungs like he was winded.
The sight is gorgeous. Thrusts not stopping even in his peak, unconscious as he whines from self-inflicted overstimulation.
You watch, breath hitched as his pants darken with his release.
Gradually, he comes back, grimacing at the uncomfortable sensation. It’s cute, the way he pouts.
His eyes are still dazed as you gesture for him to come sit with you and on wobbly legs he does. Laying on top of you with his chin propped up on your chest to look at you.
“Thank you.” He whispers.
You pet his hair, pushing the sweaty strands back and wiping away the tear stains on his cheeks. “No need to thank me, Lixie. If anything I should be thanking you.”
He looks at you, smiling wide with metaphorical heart-eyes and you could feel the blush rising on your skin.
“Wanna take a shower? I dunno about you but I think I really need one right about now.” Your strokes stop to cup his warm cheek, thumb swiping under his eye.
“Yeah, just gimme a moment to remember how to walk.” Both of you lightly chuckle, his voice back to its deep cadence.
**
After you lay in his bed, hair wet and wrapped in a towel, his fluffy from you blow-drying it.
His light snores fill the room, having fallen asleep as soon as his body hit the bed. You couldn’t blame him after such strenuous activities.
Now he lays, tucked against your chest. His body is curled up as if he wanted to feel as small as possible with your arms wrapped around him and body cradling his.
For the first time in a long time you felt...happy?
Normally after sex you there was little to no words, much less cuddling exchanged afterward. You’d offered in the beginning but after being rejected several times, left alone with them scurrying out of your apartment immediately after, you’d stopped asking. You didn’t kick them out but just didn’t ask, always allowing them to have the option of whatever this was but no one had ever taken you up on it.
But you decided it was nice. It was a strange experience that left you feeling fuzzy and warm inside. You could get use too-
Cold ice replaced the new fondness you felt.
This feeling, the feeling you’d felt budding the entire night-you’d never think you’d feel it again-much less for a one-night stand.
It was a big and overwhelming feeling as you looked to the sleeping man in your arms, looking like a sweet angel even in his slumber.
You felt a sudden urge to lean down and kiss him on the forehead, tuck back the loose strands of hair that fell across his face, trace your fingers over the complexion of freckles on his-
Fuck.
Fuck, fuck, fuck.
Suddenly the room felt unbearably hot, smothering you until you could barely breath properly.
You needed to get out of here. Now.
**
Felix woke up the next morning with a yawn, stretching like a cat and reaching over to...?
He flipped over and...you were gone? The bed was cold. You’d been gone for a while. Maybe, you’d just gone to the bathroom or-
Felix threw the covers off and jumped out of bed, quickly throwing on some clothes before walking out of his room.
Maybe you’d be in the kitchen, making breakfast or drinking coffee. You’d greet him with a soft smile and a ‘Good morning sunshine!’
His fantasy was short-lived as all he found was Chan in the kitchen, sitting with a glass of water and a piece of toast on the barstool-the same one that you’d sat on last night.
Chan looked up as he entered the room. “Morning.” He nodded, lacking the nice way your voice rolled when you spoke, making shivers run down his spine.
“Morning.” Felix couldn’t coat the disappointment in his reply.
Luckily, Chan sensed nothing out of the ordinary as he continued eating, taking another bite before swallowing. “By the way, don’t care if you bring someone home but keep it down next time will you? You woke me and probably the entire apartment complex up.”
He froze and turned to look at the older man, blush coating his face, “O-oh, you uh, heard that huh?”
He snorted. “You could say that. I heard a lot of things I didn’t want nor need to hear last night.”
“Stoooop!” Felix covered his pink cheeks with his hands.
He was never going to be able to ever live this down.
Chan shrugged with a smirk before as if trying to be casual, clearing his throat. “So, (Y/N) huh?”
His ears perked at her name. “Yeah...by the way, did you see her leaving this morning? She just left without waking me up or anything...”
Taking another bite, he shook his head wordlessly. “Nope. Besides, she doesn’t really date much. Isn’t really the type to wake the other party up when she leaves more like leave the bed cold-or so I’ve heard.”
At the way Felix’s face dropped at the accuracy of his situation Chan stuttered, trying to backtrack. “Uh, I-i mean-you never know! I can...give you her number, send her a quick text to check up y’know.”
“Ah, no that’s okay.”
Chan nodded awkwardly. “Do you want me to show you around today? School starts soon and you should really learn your way around.”
Distracted in the way he mechanically got water from the tap, Felix replied without even looking up at his hyung. “Yeah, yeah. Sure, we can do that. Not like I have anything better to do.”
A/N: Sorry about my little obsession w/ Felix’s freckles but like, how could you not? I left this open for a pt.2 so lmk if you wanna see that, my requests are open and the rules are here

Rivalry and challenge have always been the words to describe your relationship with Daniel. Never giving up. No matter the cause. No matter the consequence. He’s one of the tops of the top drivers, and you can’t afford to lose another race. It’s almost the middle of the season, and you’re way behind him.
You can’t sleep or eat as you should. All those worries and pressure put you in a state you can’t imagine. It’s eating you alive, even though you try to keep healthier habits. Seeing him perform more than you is painful. Eating less. Putting more hours in the sim or at the gym. You can’t even remember the last time you went out with friends.
You hate being the second driver. It’s a fact. We are at the Canadian Grand Prix, and you’re about to go in your car for the race. Your weekend has been worst than ever. You couldn’t or barely do the practice season since your vehicle had a mechanical problem. You have qualified in P12, way behind your teammates who are in P6.
Sat in the car, you’ve been focusing on your race. You haven’t eaten in a day and are throwing up everything you put in your mouth out of stress. You’re dehydrated, but the doctor cleared you for the race. You can feel the lack of sleep and food getting to you, but you suppress those feelings to focus. You need to focus. All you need to do is set your mind and mind to win and be better than him.
You do the formation lap, and the race begins. The first corner is the worst. Everyone turns around. And already two cars are hitting each other, causing a lot of debris to spread out on the track. You get through the dust cloud and are a little further away. A yellow flag is automatically displayed, and your engineer informs you as best he can of the situation. Three cars are off the grid, so you’re three places ahead on the grid. You’re no longer twelfth but ninth, three places to your number-one rival.
The red flag is on, and you all get behind the safety car and back to the pit. Once in the pits, everyone is allowed to get out of their vehicle, as the red flag may take several minutes.
Okay, here is the thing about Daniel. Is the best teammate in the world outside the track. Always been friendly and compassionate. He likes you. It’s a fact. Being the first woman in a long time in a formula one car and being his teammate is the dream for Daniel. So when you’re out of your monoplace, he’s already by your side, debriefing the incident.
“What a crazy start,” he says with his sexy Australian accent. “It was just pure chaos. I saw it in my mirrors. It’s a good thing you haven’t been it.”
“Yeah,” you mumble, eager to get away from him.
You like Daniel, he’s a great person, don’t let anyone fool you. But you can’t let the fact of being his teammate and being the less competitive one is so hard on you. You just can’t let things go, and every time, sometimes happens, you can’t let it go. You've always been like this. Making no difference between the race track and off-track. So even though you like him, you just can let things go. At some point, you just stop talking about anything and let him do all the talking.
Well, in fact, one night in Monaco, you allowed yourself a little party and ended up being drunk in a boat, almost falling out off the ship and into the Mediterranean. Thanks to Daniel, who passed by and caught you in time. You were in his arms when you started mumbling all you had in your heart. Letting your bag go and saying what’s been bothering you.
“You know. I hate being the second driver. You have all the glory and everything because the car is designed for you. What am I left with? Scrubs. It’s suck. I’ve been sick for three weeks now because I just can’t deal with my shit.” You cried on his shirt. “I don’t want to be second.”
He brought you back to your hotel room and stayed with you. Listening carefully to everything you’ve said to him. He knew this feeling of being second too well, and he couldn’t do anything to improve it for you. Before returning to his apartment, he brushes your hair and puts your pyjamas on.
You didn’t talk about this after. And a year has passed, and you’ve been in the same situation again. Making yourself sick to be at your best performance. The red flag is over, and you all drive off to race.
Your laps are getting good, and you feel good about the car. You managed to get behind, Daniel. Finally, you’re getting in the groove. Your laps are getting better than Daniel, and the team order Daniel to let you through. You’re in the long straight to the last corner. After insisting quite a bit, Daniel let you through at the last moment, making a dangerous move.
Your wheels lock up, and you’re enabled to finish your turn. You are going straight to the champion wall, full speed and no brake. The back of Daniel's car damaged your front wings, which blocked your brake and locked up the wheels. You don’t even have time to think you hit the first wall. Part of the barrier flies around, and you feel something touching your chest.
The second wall came quickly as the first one. You can feel pressure on your chest, and you have difficulty breathing. You can hear on the radio your engineers calling your name. You want to say something, but the words are stuck in your throat.
After that, you don’t remember much. Everything is blurred. You are in great pain and somehow hear Daniel's voice calling your name. Then you black out.
The first thing you hear when you wake up. It’s the rhythm of the monitor. Then you smell sanitizer. When you can open your eyes. You are met with the worried looks of your family. And then everything became a blur. The doctor's announcement. The end of your career. The beginning of this new rehabilitation. The world kept turning, but you felt stuck in your bed. Well, you are stuck in bed. Time flies, and the vacation finally arrives. You’ve been discharged, and you went back home to the UK.
It’s the first in three months that you and Daniel will see each other again. At first, you’ve been angry at him, wondering why he made that move. When he enters your apartment, a weird silence takes place. Neither of you knows what to say to the other. Deep down, you must keep your mind open and calm to any outcome. So when you see how uncomfortable he has been, you can’t help yourself to hug him. A weight is lifted from your shoulder and Daniels. Something forgiveness is the way to find peace.
You converse for quite a while, talking about everything other than racing. It’s been long since you opened up to him that way. Making yourself vulnerable again, just like at the beginning of this journey. Really being friends with him.
“Show me your scar.” He says tenderly after seeing you scratching through the fabric of your shirt.
You take your top off, showing yourself in your sports bra. He sees it for the first time. This scar on your chest’s forever grave in your skin because of his mistake is like a fantom reminder of his action toward you. His gaps silently.
“I’m sorry.” He whispers, tears in his eyes.
“I’ll heal.” You simply say, putting your shirt back on.
“Scars don’t disappear.”
“No. But they heal, and I think I need to heal now.” You say, stocking his cheek and removing a few tears from his eyes. “I’ll be better, and it’s time I care for myself.”

hihi! i saw your requests open, so could i request soap, gaz, and ghost (separate) trying to deescalate the reader who's been crying and on the verge of a panic attack because the work stress has been getting to them.
if that's too many characters, feel free to choose one of the three!
apologies for the sad scenario. i had a rough week (´;ω;`)
first off, im so sorry you’ve had a rough week, know that it’ll get better dude! confide in someone you trust if possible, you’re going to be ok 🫶🏻 - comments are appreciated <3
Soap
he walks into you at your desk, sitting in your chair with your arms wrapped around your legs while tears are streaming down your face. his smile immediately turns into a frown, and he walks over to you.
“oh no sunshine, what happened to ya?” he pets your head a bit and tilts your chin up toward to face him.
“it’s just been so hard soap, im trying my best every single day and yet it keeps piling up. i finish one thing and i’m already handed 4 more, i can’t do it- i can’t!” your chest starts picking up fast and you feel your breathing become shortened.
“woah woah, easy there lass you’re gonna overwhelm your system. take some deep breaths with me yeah?” he grabs your hand and puts it on his heart so you can feel his heart beat, “breathe in, 1-2-3-4. hold. 1-2-3-4-5-6-7, out for 8 alright?”
you repeat that pattern with his help about 6 more times and you start to feel less tense.
“relax, im right here with you. ease your shoulders, relax your neck and unscrunch yer eyebrows.” you follow the steps and he smiles, “that feel a little better hm?”
you nod and he takes you into his arms. he grabs his phone from his back pocket, dialing a number. you hear the ringing and when you hear the name of your favorite restaurant in the greeting you beam up a bit
“can i get uh one cheeseburger - no onions! and eh… let me have a diet coke with it would ya? thanks mate” he covers the phone with his free hand, “you want the usual?” you nod and he orders your usual order. “let me also get one of those ah.. what do ya call em?” he snaps his fingers “those ice cream sundaes, yeah extra whipped cream! that’ll be all.”
“should be here in about 15 or so bonnie, ya feelin a bit better?”
you nod and he sighs in relief, “you need a break, im callin yer boss tomorrow mornin - who cares if i’ve got to lie you’re getting a week off and we’re spendin it together! no work, we can even get out of here if you want.”
“i can’t just leave work like that johnny-“
“ah ah! nonsense, i’ll make it happen.”
you don’t protest against him but rather just accept it and wait for your food to arrive with him.
Gaz
“hey love! what’s u- oh no..” he stops in his tracks and finally hears your crying and heavy breathing.
he quickly moves to where you are and wraps his arms around you - squeezing a bit and pulling you in. the scent of his cologne helps your mind start to slow down.
“easy now, what’s wrong?” he pulls back and searches your face for an answer.
you look down and explain how work has been stressing you out, “i’m so tired gaz, i work all the time without any breaks and it seems like my efforts get me no where. i don’t even feel like i can stop because anytime that i do it just racks up. i know you work a lot and never complain ,i shouldn’t even be making this scene.”
“hey hey… none of that, yeah?” he boops your nose lightly and you smile a bit which makes him smile also, “there’s my sweetheart, cmere. just because i work a lot doesn’t mean you don’t too love, and i want you to know we don’t ever have to compare ourselves - we both have challenges.” you nod your head and he nods back.
- “how about you take the rest of this week off? i know your boss wouldn’t bother letting you go - you’re her best worker! call in tomorrow and we can focus on you.”
(or, alternatively if you’re a student! :>)
- “how about this week you just go in tomorrow, then take the rest of the week off. i know you’ll have to email your profs but your health comes first - yes even mentally. you’re a hard worker and you’ll be able to catch up before winter break love - but what i’m seeing now? you’re going to burn out if you don’t take this break.”
you listen to him and take the break, spending some days alone with him and he even messages his captain that he’s got to keep his eye on you.
“cap sends his best love, we all care about you.”
Simon/Ghost
unlike the other guys, ghost catches on quickly that you’ve been feeling upset. as someone who has his own internal battles, he recognizes easily when someone is fighting theirs. in fact, the night before he sees you rub your temples in frustration before slamming your laptop shut, he doesn’t have a huge reaction because he doesn’t want you to feel embarrassed or upset - instead he minds his business and waits for you to be ready.
although, when the next day rolls by he sees you on the verge of a panic when your whole assignment/document completely vanishes after hours of work. at this point you’re bawling your eyes out and he can hear from his office so he quickly gets up to check on you.
“you alright in here?” he asks, keeping a bit of distance not wanting to intrude on you even though you’ve told him before that he isn’t pushing your boundaries, he prefers to tread lightly and respect your space.
you explain to him what’s happened, or what’s been happening for that matter. not only did your work just vanish out of thin air on your laptop, the workload you’ve received has been insufferable.
you’re the one who initiates seeking him out and that’s when he fully goes to you with a warm embrace, hand on the back of your head holding you softly. “it’ll be alright, i’ll ask one of the guys to help you get that work back love.”
“i’ve been feeling terrible simon, i know i don’t say anything but i think i might just explode - or i kinda have.. haven’t i.” he chuckles a bit and sighs, “i noticed but i didn’t want to make you upset by bringing it up. you’ve gotta be easier on yourself, you do a lot and even though you might not have all your work done by tomorrow you need to take a break for your well being. not for me, for you. promise me a you’ll take a break?”
you nod, “good. i’m glad you’re listening to me for once.”
“hey i do listen to you! when i want to!” you say with a sniffle.
he laughs and holds you a bit tighter, he won’t let you go through this alone. you’re gonna spend the next few days just with him - relaxing till you’re feeling better.
-
I HOPE THIS IS ALRIGHT! thank you so much for the first ask <3 im not like a writer of any sorts but i did try :) i hope you enjoy 🫶🏻

The Pup (Kratos)
Tumblr media
A/N: Hello! This is my very first GOW mini fic/one shot/thing and I’m so nervous honestly, especially considering I’ve never written or posted anything serious on Kratos. Anyways, this was requested and honestly, I had a huge debate in my head whether to write this out or keep to bullet points. I settled for writing in the end, and I’d like to apologize for the short wait. I had a few things pop up irl and had to deal with them. But here we areeee. Also IM SORRY THE GIF JUST WORKS SO WELL.
WARNINGS: none! fluff, especially towards the end! ^^, a tiny bit of angst I guess? But like you gotta squint real hard. Old Kratos being old Kratos.
Summary: After hunting, you find a wolf cub not far from what you can assume is it’s deceased mother. Clearly you couldn’t simply leave it to die. The challenge here, however, is convincing Kratos to believe the same.
Holding back the shiver that threatened to take ahold of you proved difficult as the cold and harsh wind bit through your skin, chilling your very bones and surely freezing your brain. You’d been warned not to come along on this hunt, for Kratos had anticipated it to be rather long. At the thought of his name, you held back turning in the sled you currently sat on to look at him, knowing either he or Atreus would ask what’s on your mind/if you were alright. Hell, you were lucky Atreus didn’t notice how red your nose was despite sitting right next to you.
Instead, the boy seemed troubled, brows knit together in slight confusion as he subtly began looking around. You weren’t sure how he would manage to catch sight of anything given how Speki and Svanna were plowing through the snow at near light speed. You had to give it to them- those wolves worked hard. After a moment of watching Atreus become increasingly worried, you did your best to speak up.
“Atreus, are you alright?” Your teeth threatened to chatter as you spoke, though you managed to keep your composure- and gaze- hidden from plain sight. Suddenly, the sled came to a stop, and both you and Atreus looked back to find a tentative Kratos awaiting an answer. It seems your tone came off a bit too worrying. You and Atreus opened your mouths to speak, one intending to correct yourself and the other intending to provide an explanation. Thankfully, Atreus didn’t seem to notice your attempt and beat you to it, assuring his father that it wasn’t anything important.
“I just heard something, that’s all.” He explained, to which his father replied.
“What did you hear?” His voice, deep and true, rumbled about the silence that hung between everyone.
“A cry for help,” Atreus pointed ahead, right where you all were heading. It seemed it was on the pathway home. “If we keep going, we should find it!” His tone sounded hopeful, and it didn’t take a genius to figure what the boy’s plan was. Kratos continued on, however, indulging in his sons wishes.
Every second that passed only proved to inspire the cold to slowly poke through your exposed skin, almost making you regret your words just then. But, you knew that the suffering would be worth it, if this made Atreus happy. Besides, by this point you could hear the faint howling, one that caused Kratos to hesitate.
“Aye, lad… I don’t suppose this wolf would appreciate visitors at this time.” Mimir chimed in. You’d almost forgotten he was with you all.
“No, no, it’s a pup.” The boy replied simply, and, to your surprise, you were the only one to raise concern, at least outwardly. Kratos appeared stiffen up a bit, yet he remained silent.
“A pup? You do know approaching one of those is like stepping right into its mother’s mouth…” you tried to counter, but Atreus only sighed. If Kratos had any complaints by now, he didn’t express them, instead continuing on, albeit slowly.
“That’s the issue, there’s no sign of its mother anywhere. It’s alone and in pain.” He spoke with such confidence that you didn’t bother to press further. Kratos surely trusted Atreus, as did Mimir. It wasn’t that you didn’t, no, but it was in your nature to express at least some concern. Kratos now seemed less tense at the mention of a mother not being present.
It wasn’t long after that you had found it- a wolf pup off to the side, crying more than it was howling, pushing its nose against the neck of its deceased mother. You felt your heart shatter to pieces at the sight, though Kratos remained unmoved. Atreus seemed to be in your boat, leaving the sled, crouching down some, and attempting to approach the child.
“I… what can we do?” He asked, looking back to you and his father for an answer. Kratos attempted to take a step forward off of the sled, but by now the cub had noticed you all and nearly fell backwards trying to keep its distance. Clearly it didn’t want to leave its mother. After all, that was all it had…
“Why don’t we take it home with us?” You suggested, to which Kratos immediately cut in.
“No.” It was harsh, a statement nailed to the ground. You wondered why he would let you all stop here if he was only going to let it die. Atreus opened his mouth to argue, but Kratos spoke up once more. “Nature will take its course, this isn’t our concern.” You and the boy frowned and spared each other a glance, though Atreus seemed to give in easier than you were going to, taking a few steps towards his father.
“We can’t just leave it here..” You trailed off, looking over into the panicked eyes of the cub. It struck a cord in you, unleashed something that would not be swayed. Kratos seemed displeased with your answer, taking another step forward, towards you this time. But you cut him off before he could speak. “We can’t abandon it! There’s plenty of room at the house, and it won’t be too much of a leech regarding food, especially not now.” Your frantic pushing to change his mind earned you a drawn out grunt from the god.
“We cannot save every living thing we encounter. It is a deadly habit.” He argued, standing tall before you now. To this, you scoffed, causing him to narrow his eyes slightly.
“You saved me.” This garnered no response, and at that moment you knew you’d at least done something to make the gears in his head start turning. Atreus was standing a ways away from you two, cheeks puffed out as he quickly looked to his father for the reaction. A moment passed of pure silence, the breeze blowing past you four having long been tuned out from adapting to such weather. Kratos moved to look at the whimpering pup that still cowered next to its mother, then at Atreus, and finally back at you. “Let me take it with us, just this one. I promise you, you won’t regret it.” Another minute passed, as Kratos now looked into your eyes, and it felt as if your soul was constricting and simultaneously being pulled apart and looked at.
Whatever it is Kratos saw in you, it seemed to soften him just slightly, and he gave a curt nod. You and Atreus could barely contain your excitement as you both turned to face the shivering wolf. Atreus was about to approach, when Kratos put a hand on his shoulder. A silent way of saying, ‘this is her life to save.’ Atreus smiled up at him and nodded, noticing how you had already made it over to the pup. It looked awful, patches of fur matted and physique far from ideal.
“Hey, shhh, it’s ok little one…” you gently held out your hand, allowing the animal to sniff. Once it seemed to relax a bit, you turned back to Atreus. “Am I doing this right?” Your words made the boy laugh a little before he nodded and offered you a smile. Standing up straight, you took a few steps back and patted your thigh. “Come on, come with me. I’ll help you.” You explained, and the cub hesitantly began to follow you, stopping once to look back at its mother one last time before continuing on its new path.
“Enough to make a grown head cry.” Mimir chimed in as you now wandered past them in the direction of the sled. That earned a chuckle from Atreus as the three followed along behind you, as did the pup. You slowed down enough to walk beside Kratos, a habit you’d had from the beginning of your journey with him and Atreus. He didn’t seem to mind by now, though you recall a time where he made you walk in front. You teased him about how it was a chance to “check you out,” to which he gave a disapproving grunt and nothing more. You were happy to see him slowly trusting you more and more. Hell, you’d even argue that he seemed fond of you now.
It wasn’t anything grand, the things he did for you. To anyone else it may just come off as kind gestures. But you knew that it meant so much more to Kratos. What started as a simply providing for you so you could be useful became going out of his way to provide not just necessities, but small comforts as well. It was clear now that this little side quest was mostly to spend time with you and Atreus.
“You’re lucky he likes you, lass.” Joked the swinging head at the god’s side, earning a giggle from you, a huff of laughter from Atreus, and silence from Kratos. It was something the god could neither confirm nor deny. For his feelings were complex, especially considering his past love life. Perhaps, however, he would open up his heart to love eventually. His mistake, however, was assuming it would take ages. As you all settled down on the sled, you allowed yourself to open up a bit.
“Gah, It’s a bit cold, huh?” This time your teeth did chatter, but before you could process their reactions a heavy fur coat was being wrapped around you. Looking up, you saw Kratos, who then scolded you slightly for not saying anything earlier before taking his position at the back of the sled once more. The warmth that bloomed in your heart combined with the equivalent to a weighted blanket was almost enough to make you immune to the cold. Atreus merely grinned beside you, though he remained silent.
Again, it wasn’t anything grand, what he had done for you. But you knew it meant so much more than that to the god, and that was enough for you.

BONUS
“What do I call you?” Kratos says, stonefaced as he gazes down at the wolf cub currently panting at his feet.

Pairing: Billy Russo x F! Reader
Warnings: Mentions of alcohol, a tiny bit of violence but not really, drunk fan, a couple swear words, fluffy bunnies and unicorns
Word Count: 1.8k-ish
Summary: You’re attending a baseball game with a friend and you weren’t expecting to meet a tall handsome stranger.
A/N: This is part of the Thirsty for Cox writing challenge for the month of June. The prompt was “Hey, is that guy bothering you?” It was difficult to NOT set this one at a bar because let’s be honest, that’s the most likely place someone would use that line, amirite? 🤣 Anyway, I hope you like it! 💕
As always, thank you for reading! I appreciate it so much and comments, reblogs are welcome and encouraged. Don’t be shy to tell me your favorite part. 💕💕 💕
“These are great seats! How did you score these?” Your friend Jackie, asked.
When your stepfather said he had four tickets to the Yankee game this weekend, you jumped at the chance to go.
It was the beginning of June, sunny with a few fluffy white clouds slowly moving across the bright blue sky and thankfully the hot summer weather hadn’t arrived yet so it was still just warm and dry.
A perfect day for baseball.
Sitting on the first base line, you’ve never been this close before. The warm early afternoon sun kissed the high points of your face as you took in the view.
You were only three rows back from the on-deck circle and could smell the sunscreen the players had on as they waited for their turn at-bat.
“A client gave them to my stepfather and he couldn’t go so he offered them to me. We have these four seats so we don’t have to worry about anyone sitting next to us.” You told her.
Suddenly, you felt a pinch in your side.
“OW!! What did you do that for?!” You yelled and glared at her.
“Oh I didn’t pinch you that hard, listen…really hot guy checking YOU out. Your four o’clock. Don’t look yet.” She said.
Waiting a couple of minutes before turning around, you looked over your shoulder and there he was…a baseball hat covered his dark brown hair, he had a short well-groomed beard, eyes as dark as the night sky and a smile that would stop anyone dead in their tracks.
“Jackie, are you sure he was looking at me? Because he has to be the most handsome man I’ve ever seen in real life. Every woman in this area is looking at him.” You whispered to her.
She started to chuckle at little. “Well he sure as shit wasn’t lookin’ at me, I’m married anyway and he wasn’t looking at ANY of those other women, he was only lookin’ at YOU.”
Another inning went by and it was time for another beer so you stood up and headed for the concession stands. Walking up the stairs, you phone vibrated in your back pocket. It was a text from Jackie that said:
Hot guy is following you up the stairs, YAY!!
You couldn’t help but laugh a little and shake your head as you put your phone back in your pocket. And now that you knew he was a few steps behind you, it wasn’t the sun that was making you feel warm anymore. Another text came in:
You look really cute today, relax!!
She knew you all too well. She knew you were shy and easily flustered so that was a text pep talk to calm you down a little.
Standing in line, you could feel him behind you, watching you but almost in a protective way. You noticed there were a lot of people around that had already had a few too many, one of them being directly behind you. Swaying in place, and looking like he was about to fall over at any moment, the man spoke to you.
“Y-you look like you wanna buy me a beer! You are a p-pretty thing, aren’t ya.” He slurred.
The man took you by surprise, yelling in your ear like he did, but you tried to be as nice as possible.
“You sure you need another one? You look like you’ve had enough already.” You said with an uncomfortable smile.
The man tried to move closer to you but you stepped to the side a little.
“W-well I w-want you to b-buy me another!” He said, putting his hand on your shoulder.
And that’s when your tall handsome stranger stepped in.
“Hey, is that guy bothering you?” He asked, trying to get in between you and the drunk.
Looking a little nervous, you nodded.
His eyes looked darker than they were when you saw them before, his lips were pulled back to expose clenched teeth, and the heated glare he gave the man was filled with rage.
“Take your hand off of her…now.” He said with a low growl.
The man grabbed your shirt at the shoulder and gripped it tightly in between his fingers. “This doesn’t concern you, pretty boy. This is between me and her.”
And with those words he shoved you backwards into a person carrying two cups of beer that ended up splashed down your back and caused you to fall to the ground.
What happened next, happened so fast that you missed it but looking up after hitting the ground, your admirer suddenly had the drunk man pinned to ground face down when security came running over to take him away.
The handsome stranger rushed to your side and gently placed his hand on your shoulder.
“Are you ok, miss?” He asked, looking you over to make sure you weren’t hurt.
“Well…I have beer all over me but other than that, I guess I’m fine.” You answered.
He laughed a little and continued to smile that perfect smile at you.
“Well this is not how I wanted to introduce myself but HI…Billy Russo.” He said in a slightly sarcastic tone and extending his arm for you to shake his hand.
You gave him a warm smile. “Well it’s nice to meet you, Billy Russo. I’m y/n. Thank you for what you did, I’ve never really had anyone come to my rescue before.”
He gave you his hand for you to take and helped you to your feet.
“Well I’m just glad I was the one to rescue you. Come on, let’s go buy you some dry clothes.” He said.
A little embarrassed, you told him you only brought enough cash with you for beer, the rest of your money was with your purse, at your seat. He said it was on him and he wouldn’t take no for an answer.
“What? No Billy, I can’t ask you to do that. They charge a small fortune for all this stuff.” You said.
Billy winked and smiled at you. “You didn’t ask, sweetheart. I offered.” His slight New York accent coming through. “This way…”
He was so handsome and charming. It was hard to say no, so you didn’t and he led you to a shop to get some dry clothes.
You picked out a new DiMaggio t-shirt since your other one was soaked with beer and a pair of joggers, you were thankful that your socks and sneakers didn’t get wet. Billy had the same t-shirt on.
“At least this one doesn’t smell like beer.” You laughed. “What do ya think?” You asked with a smile and a 360 turn.
Leaning against a rack of clothes, he smiled back at you. “I think you look perfect.”
You felt yourself start to blush. “Thank you for this, Billy. You really didn’t have to. Can I take you dinner, as a thank you?” You asked him.
“Hey that’s my line.” He said with a sly smile as he inched closer to you.
Looking up at him through your dark lashes, you could not take your eyes off of him and he couldn’t take his eyes off of you. It suddenly felt like it was a thousand degrees inside the store.
“Tell ya what…let me take you to dinner and you can buy me a beer on the way back to our seats. How does that sound?” He asked.
You extended your hand for him to shake it. “You got yourself a deal, Mr. Russo.”
On the way back to your seats, you bought four beers. Billy’s friend Frank needed one as well and when you got back to your seats, Frank was sitting with Jackie, and they were showing each other pictures of their kids.
“FINALLY! I’ve been dyin’ of thirst down here.” Jackie said. “Ummm, why are you wearing different clothes? What have you two been doing?” She asked with a wink.
“It’s a long story, I’ll tell ya in a minute.” You said.
You smiled and extended your hand to Frank. “Hi, I’m y/n.”
Frank firmly shook your hand. “Frank Castle. Nice to meet ya.” He said with a smirk.
You handed him his beer. “It’s nice to meet you too, Frank.”
Looking at Jackie, you introduced her to Billy. Her response made you crack a smile.
“Oh I’ve heard a lot about Billy from this guy over here.” She said, pointing at Frank.
The four of you enjoyed the rest of the game together, sharing peanuts, drinking beer, and singing Take Me Out to the Ball Game.
Billy told you he and Frank were in the Marines together but now Billy owns his own private security company and Frank works closely with him.
As the game went on, Billy snaked his arm around you and draped it over your shoulder. Goosebumps peppered across the exposed skin on your arm as he lightly brushed it with his long slender fingers.
You could feel him stealing glances at you when you’d lean over to talk to Frank or Jackie, or rubbing your back before he’d get up to use the restroom or if it was his turn to make a beer or snack run.
These little gestures caused your ears to turn red and gave you butterflies in your stomach. You were already smitten with him.
After the game was over, you were chatting with Billy outside the stadium when you heard Jackie’s voice.
“So are you guys goin’ out on a date or what?” She asked, very directly. “You two look pretty cozy already.” She said, looking at Billy’s arm snaked around your waist.
You smiled nervously at her before looking at Billy then turning back to Jackie. “Uh, yeah. Billy wants to take me to dinner.”
She looked at you, then at Billy, smiled and whispered in your ear. “I have a good feeling about him.”
“I do too.” You whispered back.
You bit down on your lower lip and looked up at Billy. He gave you a little wink as he took your hand in his and kissed the back of it. “I’ll call you later, sweetheart.”
“I look forward to it, Mr. Russo.” You said with a smile.
He leaned forward and feeling his warm breath against your ear, Billy whispered. “Ya know it drives me absolutely crazy when you call me that.” And he planted a light kiss on your cheek.
“Well, I’ll have to remember that.” You said with a slight smirk. “I’ll see you soon, Billy.”
Billy took one last look at you as you walked away from him. You could feel his eyes on you just like earlier waiting in line, watching over you and making sure you were safe. Once you were out of sight, Frank turned to Billy and said.
“I have a good feeling about that one, Bill.”
Billy smiled as he quickly glanced at the ground and back up to look back at Frank and said.
“I do too, Frankie. I do too.”

it lives where i live
part four
tags: healing, angst, hurt/comfort, childhood friends to ????, hopeful ending
wc: 2k
note: this was a weird thing for me to finish. i feel like i’ve changed so much as a writer and this chapter reflects that. i changed the pov for this chapter because i felt like it was important to see all of touya’s growth and inner turmoil directly. idk y’all this was my baby and it’s weird to say it’s done (also claps for bea for actually finishing a chaptered fic). alright love u be good
Tumblr media
Touya starts to get it.
He has no idea what it is–only that he feels different, and he thinks that’s a good thing, maybe. He assumes it is, because there’s been considerably more enthusiastic head nods from his therapist through his screen each week.
It’s new. The therapist, anyway–the Hero Commission sanctioned therapist’s check ins (a generous title, considering the lack of any real therapy) had fizzled out and stopped all together soon enough, and it was at the tail end of another one sided phone conversation with Natsuo that he’d heard of a shrink with a reputation for treating those who’d been harmed by heroes.
“She has a surprisingly booked schedule,” Natsuo had said, half in jest and not without a tangible weight. If nothing else, Touya was curious–and bored. With nothing better to do, he decided to try a session. Before he knew it, he’d sat through the better part of four.
He doesn’t talk much–mostly because he’d talked a whole lot on a national scale and really, what else could he possibly have to say?–but lately, he’s found himself full of questions he doesn’t know how to ask. It’s hard–he doesn’t feel particularly brave these days, and to get his mouth to shift into the shapes of the words is enough of a challenge. But he tries–he figures that has to count for something.
He wants to understand your anger. There’s a weight to it–one that smacks into him solidly every time he’s on the other end of it. He’s not unfamiliar with anger–he’s been pissing people off for years now. But yours is different. Yours is heavy–you hate him and you run your fingers through his hair when he hides his tears in the toilet bowl and heaves out everything he’s buried deep inside himself at two in the morning. It’s not so easy to wrap his head around that part.
“Your friend.”
It comes through the speaker as a statement and not a question, and he scowls. Is that what you are to him? He’d been so sure that he’d never had a friend. But that can’t be right, can it? When everyone had moved on and away from him, but you had not—was that your friendship? The word tastes bitter and unsatisfactory on his tongue, but he doesn’t have a better one. He nods.
“Is that so surprising, Touya?”
He says nothing, only glaring into the camera. She sighs, wholly unimpressed.
“Think about it. You’ve mourned someone and then they show up out of nowhere, and they’re not that person you’ve been keeping in your heart all of this time. It’s like…a second death.” She says, tapping a finger to her chin as if to summon the words. “Another cycle of grief on top of the first. That’s a lot to feel, no?”
And he…knows that. You’d made it pretty clear, of course, but he feels it, now–like a rash. Your grief sits on his skin and festers in a way that his did not. His burned hot and fast and left him empty, and he woke up without a thought of what the consequences of that fire would be. Yours hit him like a brick wall the second he stepped foot through your door. That brick wall only gave way to cement–unending, uncomfortable.
It feels wrong to interfere with it–like for all he took away from you, this is the least he could give you. He can handle the anger, of course–he can sit in your white-knuckled fury and let it close in on him. That’s fine.
The crying is another thing entirely.
It’s not as if Touya is a stranger to tears, either–he saw his fair share of them wet the faces of those he cut down. Just like the anger, it never particularly bothered him. Not like yours do.
And maybe it’s because he doesn’t see them. The only indication that there are tears comes when he lays completely still at night, and he can just barely hear your sniffles through the wall. Something about it feels bad–unfair, maybe, the way you wait until you think he’s sleeping to let out what you’ve been holding on to. He almost wants to laugh at you–he’s already put you through this much. He would deserve to have all of the aftermath be aimed right at him.
But to lie to himself is evidently not off limits, because it does affect him. Every once in a while he’ll hear a whimper that twists his gut into a tight knot. He thinks of the promise he made you, all of those years ago. He tries not to, but your crying fishes it back to the surface–his stupid, idiot promises to protect you no matter what. Only to become the knife that keeps your hands pinned to the table. He doesn’t know how to protect you from himself. He finds himself still taking from you.
“Alright,” he mutters, coming back to himself. “M’hanging up.”
His therapist only laughs. “We made it 20 minutes this time!”
.
..
He starts eating dinner with you. You’ve been dropping little half-invitations for the last few weeks, and he’s been readily avoiding them. To sit across from you at your table feels too much like a confrontation–and the cowardice that he’s become accustomed to shuts it down before he’s even had time to really consider it.
But tonight you’re eating on the couch in front of the TV, and that feels better. In the dark and with a distraction, he doesn’t have to fully face you. He can think of you and you’ll be none the wiser.
He sneaks glances at you from the other side of the couch and finds himself struck–not for the first time–at how for all of the ways you are different now, you are still the same as you were when he was 13. He knows it’s nothing to do with how you look and everything to do with the way that you are–an anchor that both terrifies and comforts him. He woke up in that hospital bed and knew you were there on the other side of the glass before he opened his eyes.
Is that what friendship is?
He shakes himself out of his head when he feels you squirming next to him. From the corner of his eye he watches you fight with the blanket you’ve swaddled yourself in, somewhere between amused and endeared. It’s an unfamiliar feeling and yet, it feels like he’s felt it toward you all his life. He gives you another second to sort it out yourself before he feels bad. He forgets where he is, he forgets himself–he doesn’t think at all when he wraps his fingers around your foot to free it from the fabric tangling it.
Both of you freeze. For an aching moment, neither one of you blinks. And then you wrench your leg away from him like he’s burned you.
“Sorry,” you mumble, already standing, already shaking. “Sorry, I just–”
But you’re already halfway down the hall–voice tapered off in an explanation he doesn’t need to hear you finish because he already knows. Your door shuts quietly behind you, but creates such a divide between you that you may as well have broken it off its hinges. He doesn’t have to be still to know what’s happening on the other side of it.
He can’t listen to you cry again. His body makes the decision before his mind does, and when it finally catches up he’s standing in the middle of your room.
You’ve gone completely silent–he’s not even sure you’re breathing. Rigid and curled into yourself, you look pitiful. Something about it is hard to look at. His stomach twists and before he can stop himself, he’s reaching for the covers and sliding into the bed next to you. He closes his eyes and his body forms to yours on a memory he doesn’t have but feels he must. You make a wounded sound like he’s just punched you.
“Touya,” it’s barely a whisper and wholly a warning. There’s so much pain in your voice it makes him nauseous. He ignores it, snaking his arm around your waist to pull you to him. “Touya–”
“Just let it out,” he murmurs, resting his forehead between your shoulder blades. “Please. Let it go.”
He feels you freeze–and then the breath leaves you so violently it startles him. He’s almost relieved when he hears the accompanying cry.
He keeps his head pressed to the curve of your back in some strange hope that he might absorb your grief into himself. If he could just carry this, it’d be better. For you, anyway–he’s certain that what you’ve been carrying around would be enough to put him down, but he’d drop dead at your feet if it meant you could be free of what he’s done to you.
His arm tightens around you when he feels you start to fight his grip. “The hell are you doing–”
“Please,” you whimper–only half audible through a tight throat–and it renders him silent. “I just need to see you.”
He can do nothing but let you twist around, and he immediately wishes he’d have fought you on it, because to see your face right now is too much.
Even in the dark your eyes find his and for the first time he can easily name the sadness that permeates into his bones. Sudden and tender like a wound, it’s only a second before he’s pulling you closer for his sake–anything to not have to see. He’d burn the whole world down to not have to see what he’s done.
It's odd, knowing that it’s not necessarily guilt he feels–instead it is a mountain of what can only be his grief, looming and jagged with no perceivable path up it. He looks at you and you reflect back at him a version of yourselves he’d left behind. He takes in your gap toothed smiles and grubby fingers interlocked and tastes iron.
“I was afraid you were really gone.” Your chest shudders harshly against his own. It’s awful–the whole thing. He’s certain he’s never felt like this.
“Yeah,” he can’t get his voice above a whisper. “Me too.”
It’s painful—the child in him that he believed to be destroyed. Looking him in the face now, you stand next to him, but a step behind. That hurts more than anything—the outstretched hand that he never reached for. How different things would have been if he’d have just turned around. He understands now—he’d left you both back there.
He holds you to his chest and feels, for the first time since back then, when something is knocked loose in his chest. He’s not afraid that he’ll bleed all over your bed, because he knows he already is. Something about the certainty of the way you are there, and he is right here next to you, shakes him. There are no tears left in him to shed, so instead he tries to steady shuddering gasps tucked into the crook of your neck.
And then it’s his turn to be held, and that’s painful too, because his skin is still so sensitive and his heart is breaking and god, does he wish he would’ve turned around.
He opens his mouth to say something and can only let loose a tiny, choked sound into the silence, and you understand. But that’s not enough—he needs to try. He needs you to know—to hear him and see that he tried.
“I wanted to find you.”
It shatters the quiet that’s been settled around the two of you. He wonders if it’s a cruel thing to say. He doesn’t know how to gauge your silence. He settles on filling it.
“Didn’t know how,” he whispers to the ceiling, “Was too late—I was too late—“
“Touya.” You stop his spiral and you sound tired. You lay shoulder to shoulder now, and when your fingertips drag up his palm and weave between his own, it feels like you’ve touched down to bone marrow.
“It’s not too late,” you tell him, turning your head to look him in the eye, “it’s not.”
There in the dark of your room, he thinks he could believe you.

*phone call from Kuroo*
“Tetsu…?”
“Hi Kitten”
“What’s wrong? It’s 10, don’t you have to meet with your clients tomorrow?”
“I know, but that doesn’t mean I have to forget my girlfriend’s birthday?”
“Oh… Oh yeah!”
“Don’t tell me you forgot again”
“Uh, no-no. I mean, I just half-asleep in the living room watching TV, so… Yeah, I remember”
“Heh, is that so… Can I turn on a video call?”
“Wait, my face is really in mess-”
“It’s ok. It’s not like I never saw your bare face. I make it quick, I have something for you but I need to turn the video call”
“Uh. okay…”
*turning on video*
“Okay, I want you to go to my wardrobe”
*walks into their shared bedroom while carrying the phone with video call turned on*
“Okay, see that box on the bottom in a drawer? Get that box on the bed, hon”
“Okay, wait, it’s pretty heavy”
*carrying the medium-sized box into their bed*
“Okay, first. I just want to tell you, happy birthday, hon, sorry I don’t have cakes right now because of our long-distance whereabouts. I want you to open this gift box, but don’t turn off the video, okay? I just want to see your face opening the box”
*Open the box, it contains:*
[A paper written in colored markers and Kuroo’s doodles:]
Dear Kitten,This is my first surprise gift for you, I hope it’s not cheesy
“Happy birthday to my most strong-independent-sometimes stubborn but lovely partner, people said I’m too unrealistic but I do realize I could not pass every challenge in my life for the past 4 years without you. I could say every day is tiring but you always welcomed me. I have 4 gifts inside, I hope you understand each gift’s essential meaning"
*Long Goose Pillow* "I know your anxieties still occur for the past year and it’s worsened when I’m not with you because business trip. Yet, you always never told me:( I know you don’t want me worrying you but still, I know everything even if you don’t tell me ok. This goose pillow is really soft and squishy so I hope you have a good sleep hugging this if I’m not around."
*2 Packages of Miniature Lego* "I’ve talked to some physiologists and Akaashi (Akaashi is a doctor here), actually, lego helps avoid overthinking. Lego also trains your focus, I hope this can reduce your night habit of overthinking or crying. I can estimate if you slowly complete this two it’ll be done in 2 weeks. Just don’t finish it too fast, you’ll get a headache! :<"
*Ipad* "You always use your laptop to hear lofi or lullaby songs to help your anxieties. This iPad has the same features, and the sound system is good as well. Why I didn’t buy you a speaker, because I hope you can also watch movies with this. Sometimes when I suggest you buy Ipad refused because it’s too expensive, yet I want you to feel comfortable watching movies with this effective device rather than watching on your laptop. Plus I already installed nfix and hb*. Don’t feel bothered because I already subscribed to those for you. Don’t dare you pay me back."
*Bunny Lantern* "You know what I always got scared when you always use that dim desk light of yours when we slept. I mean, it’s too dim and sometimes the light turns off when I woke up I almost panicked myself because I thought I’m going blind all sudden. This bunny lantern also have an orange light on it, those lamp can help you through your sleep too. Even if you woke up at night when you see the lamp, hopefully, you can go sleep easily after."
*Wrist strap lanyard with a small picture of both of you* "I know it’s really cheesy but I really want you to have this in your working bag. I really don’t like that boy names (random names) that have been chatted to you each night! He got the lesson when I met him at that time. Plus if you look closer it also contains my number so if there’s something going on people will recognize me as your ‘partner’. Other men will get off you quickly when they saw this keychain."
[Last, a piece of paper glued in the bottom of the box:]
This is my first time not having your birthday on-site. I hope my gifts can at least cover your longing, I also write this by myself. No google translate or help from google sites! The gifts may replaceable but my love is more than this, okay?<3 Your only man, Kuroo Tetsuroo
You literally cried and laugh at the same time because you read each of his messages in the box. You also cried because you don’t know Kuroo has been prepared for this before his business trip, it's a really sweet side of him.
He sees you crying, wiping your tears while unboxing each of gifts.“Oh my, I wish I can hug you right now" he sighed, his smile indicating that he was glad that he prepared this before his 2 weeks business trip.
He asked, "Are you happy? Are my messages too cheesy?”
“No! I’m happy, it’s my first time to have this sort of gift, you know?”
“That’s good then. I’ll see you next 3 days and you can have birthday cuddles, okay? Love you"
“Yes, thank you so much, Tetsu… I love you too”

Levi doesn't know how he always finds himself in these predicaments. One moment he's hunched over his desk, looking over his notecards for his upcoming exam – the next he's being physically dragged away by his tiresome roommate to a Halloween party down the road that he had already said no to.
Now, he’s leaning against a wall, red cup in hand, with his hood up and a black face mask covering his nose and mouth – white face paint smeared across his pallid face in the pattern of a skull thanks to Hange's last minute demands.
“It's a Halloween party for heaven's sake, you need to look the part!” They had exclaimed after pulling him out of his room with makeup brushes in hand.
The mask was there because he wouldn't dare risk getting sick before his test, but it also gave him a reason to cover up so no one would bother him. Of course he wouldn't be so lucky as he feels someone slide up next to him. Eyes narrowed, he glares over to the unwelcome visitor and as his gaze falls upon you, his eyes soften considerably.
He'd see you around campus, catching his eyes from time to time. It wasn't until recently that you both started interacting with each other due the classic literature class you both share this semester.
You have only spoken to each other a handful of times, outside of the glances shared and the kind smiles you would offer him in passing. Most conversations were about school work or small talk that he would mainly grunt back at. Despite the short quips he gave you, you never pushed or pulled away. Now here you were, smiling up at him as the multicolor strobe lights hit your face.
“Levi? I never thought I'd see you at one of these!” You half-shout over the pulsing pop music blaring from the speakers around the two of you.
Eyes bright and soft cheeks painted pink, they were pulled back into a genuine smile pointed straight at Levi. You were dressed in much less clothing than he's used to seeing you in. Gone were the jeans and loose-knit sweaters – now replaced by a black frilly strapless dress adorned with a small white apron wrapped around your waist. The collar curves low enough to show your cleavage, tightly pushed together by the thin black cloth.
His eyes travel down if only for a second to see how short the dress really was – ending right underneath your butt. The bottom hugged your curves, squeezing your waist and hips perfectly. Underneath was a pair of black fishnet stockings and heels, making you barely at eye level with Levi. Frilled cuffs wrap around your wrists in the same style of the choker that sits flush against your neck.
You're dressed as a maid.
His eyes snap back up to see that your hair falls around your shoulders topped with a little headband. There are hints of lipgloss leftover from the many times your lips caressed the ridges of a plastic cup. But that flush on your cheeks was not from your makeup.
“Hellllooo??” You wave a hand in front of Levi's face to get his attention.
“I am.” He responds back cooly, tone contradictory to the thoughts racing through his mind.
“I knew it! Your brooding gray eyes are striking even from across the room.” A light giggle leaves your soft lips. “What are you doing here? I thought you'd be studying for Tuesday's exam.”
“I was. My roommate dragged me here.”
“The Levi Ackerman bent to someone's will? Well, I'll be.” You tease, smile tugging at your lips, before taking another sip of the mysterious liquid in your cup. Levi does the same, feeling the burn of the liquor he had poured when he first got here.
“Tch. Shouldn't you be studying? You struggled with your analysis on Odyssey and that's definitely showing up on the test.”
“Aw, you care! If you must know, I took your suggestions to heart and did that 'note taking after every paragraph' thing you do. Some things are still a little fuzzy but I have a much better grasp on it! So, thank you.” Another wide smile from you causes butterflies to dance in his stomach.
“Yeah. Sure.”
Levi never afforded himself time to think of a relationship. Sure, he's had his share of hookups before; he wasn't always glued to his books and knew how to release stress from time to time. But he never thought anything past that one night and moved on with his life without issue. It wasn't because he was being intentionally callous though, most women that sought his company only wanted him by his looks alone – who was he if not willing to return the favor.
But you gave him something others could not – comfort in knowing that you talked to him as a person and not a pretty face. And while he never made a move to further anything with you, he did find himself wanting to be near you as much as he could bear.
“What are you even supposed to be?” Your lips purse as your eyes scan Levi’s slim frame. Your fingers reach up and pinche the fabric of his jacket as you pull yourself closer to get a better look of his face still darkened by the shadows of his hood. You're not close enough to press up against him, but you might as well have as you only left an inch or so between you both. Your eyes bounce around his face as she makes sense of the quickly applied makeup. If he leaned down just a bit, he could…
“No idea. Hange, the roommate I mentioned, did it.” He clears his throat quietly, eyes glancing away from yours. You pull away finally, but your fingers still remain on his sleeve. You're not directly touching him, but it's enough to send tingles through his body. Levi chalks it up to it being a while since he's been touched by someone.
“It looks good on you, like you're a bandit ready to steal or something.” Your tinkling laughter makes Levi's ears twitch in a good way. “I'm happy to see you out of the classroom, Levi.”
“I-"
“Oh! My friend is waving me over. Hold this for a second.” You say, handing your drink over to him. He watches as you tug your dress up that must have slid down a bit. When you do, his eyes can't help but glance down to the slight bounce of your plush chest. The way your perfume permeates his senses as you move around the little space you both share and it intoxicates him – or was it the alcohol? He hadn't had that much.
“Okay, I'm good to go.” When you reach over to take the half-empty cup from Levi's fingers, yours brush against his ever so slightly. His heart leaps at your warm touch. “I'll see you around?”
You give Levi a long look before smiling brightly and turning tail towards a redhead who was currently staring hard at him. His gaze was far from your friend though because with your back to him now, he sees that the costume is much shorter than he initially assumed.
His eyes don't leave you for a bit, watching you double over in laughter at something your friend said. There's a moment where your eyes meet again, holding each other's gaze until your friend says something else and you're back to laughing. Outside of the classroom, you were very different. There were a lot of things he didn't know about you. Perhaps that's something he wouldn't mind delving into if given the chance.
“Dude she's so into you.” A voice rings out from next to Levi, their words slightly slurred from the many drinks they had consumed throughout the night.
“Shut up, four eyes.”
“I mean it. She's so smitten with you. Didn't you see the way she was looking at you? There are hearts in her eyes! Those glances, the unassuming touches. Levi Ackerman, c'mon! I wasn't born yesterday.” Levi turns to the source of the noise. Hange Zoe, a bioengineering major who he shared the same apartment with for years, is giving Levi the biggest shit-eating grin they can muster.
“And you like her too, don't you.”
Their usual frazzled brunette hair is even frizzier to match the mad-scientist costume they were going for, held down by a pair of safety goggles that wrap around their head. Hange had made Levi swear on his life not to tell Professor Vitch that they had ‘borrowed' one of the lab coats for it – not like Levi cared enough to say anything anyways. He doesn't understand how Hange could even give it back now that it's tattered and ruined with self-made burn marks.
“Whatever.”
“You've never mentioned her before, why not? I thought I was your bestest friend in the whole world.”
“Acquaintances. And it doesn't pertain to you.”
“That hurts, we’ve known each other for 5 years.” Hange gives a fake pout. As their gaze flits back over to you, they mutter, “If I were you, I wouldn't let this chance slip away. You'll just regret it.” And with that, Hange yells something to a mutual friend and runs over to him – leaving Levi to his devices once again.
His eyes go back to where you were just moments ago and he catches you shooting him another smile before getting lost in the crowd with your friend. This smile held something that wasn't there before, the same matching emotion that fill your eyes.
Regret was not something he sat well with. Before he knows it, he's pushing himself off the wall and heading towards the direction you had disappeared in.
It takes a bit of searching and asking around much to his disdain. Eventually, he finds you outside on the front porch alone, sitting on the stairs with your back to him. Your hair is pulled up in a messy ponytail and from the way you’re lifting your arm up, he can tell you still have a drink in hand. When he shuts the door behind him, he notices you don't even look back.
“Tired of the people, too?” Levi asks as he sits down on the step next to you, practically shoulder to shoulder. He doesn't miss the way you flinched at his sudden voice, you turning quickly to face him.
“Oh jeez, Levi. I almost punched you.” You place your hand flat against your chest in hopes to slow your racing heart.
“Wouldn't be the first time someone threatened that.”
“I can't imagine why. You sigh, but then a smirk pulls on your lips as you start to relax. “Yeah, it's just getting to be too much. I think I may head out here soon.” You take another sip of your drink before realizing it's mostly gone and instead, you tip it all the way back and down it all in one gulp.
You stand up soon after, your ass on full display for him to see from his position. The way you bend forward a bit to brush off your dress is almost a little too much for Levi. Your cheeky panties peek out at him, causing that knee-jerk reaction of such a visual to twitch in his jeans. Realization of what Hange was trying to tell him earlier dawns on him.
Regret was not something he liked to feel.
Levi stands up quickly and grabs your wrist in tight fingers before pulling you to face him. There's visible shock on your face at the brazen action, but you don't pull away. He gives you a moment, a chance to turn him down and leave without looking back. You don't. Instead, you coyly smile up at him, eyebrow raised.
With that, he tugs you closer and his lips meet yours in a hard kiss. Behind the bubblegum lipgloss, he tastes the artificial fruit from the drinks you've had tonight. You mirror the same hunger as Levi does, as if you had waited for this for months. You throw your arms around his neck as you press yourself against him, your fingers sliding up into his hair as his hands make their way to your waist – holding you there.
What feels like mere seconds pass before Levi has to break away for air. There's a moment where you’re both just staring at each other. Partly from shock but also uncertainty of where to go next. You're the first to speak.
“There's um, something I need help with on the study guide. But it's back at my place.”
“I can help with that.” Levi answers back cooly, almost too quick but he didn't care.
You don't hesitate to close your fingers over his and tug him into the direction of your place, almost running like the little kids that swarm the street as they trick or treat.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
“How on earth did you convince Lando to help you with this?” Carlos asked, having popped in to McLaren hospitality for a coffee and catch up with Charlotte and Lando, during some rare few free minutes on media day ahead of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
“I don’t think Lando is physically capable of saying no to Y/N. I knew it was going to be trouble when she first signed on to the team.” Charlotte wisely spoke up, smiling cheekily at Lando as a blush rose on his cheeks.
Charlotte had called it from day one, right before the car launch almost two years ago. Apparently, you and Lando hadn’t been able to keep your eyes off the other, so it was only a matter of time before something happened and you got together. The fans had been surprisingly supportive of the relationship between the two McLaren drivers, because you’d made it clear the moment the news had broken that it wouldn’t affect anything on track. You both fought for wins, earning enough points to keep McLaren competitive when compared to the past few seasons before you’d joined the team.
Carlos nodded, accepting Charlotte’s explanation as fact.
You smiled too, not bothering to correct her and explain that the real reason Lando had agreed to help you with your holiday was because you may have promised your boyfriend a sexual favour or two. Otherwise, he never would’ve stepped anywhere near the kitchen. If it hadn’t been for the sheer number of cookies you needed to make for your team and friends on the grid, you would’ve handled it yourself.
“I mean, I also don’t have much of a choice now that they want to film it as a challenge video for the YouTube channel.” Lando tried to defend himself, but the other three people at sat around the table simply rolled their eyes at him. The filming of the baking was purely coincidental, the media team suggesting it would make great content for social media after they’d caught word of your plan.
You carried on chatting with Carlos and Charlotte as the media team got the kitchen set up to film your baking adventure with Lando. Eventually, the camera crew came to collect you and Lando and drag you behind the scenes of the hospitality center, getting you all mic’d up and dressed in these silly McLaren aprons for filming. You carefully tied your hair back out of the way, before settling behind the counter with Lando.
There were two stations set up with industrial sized stand mixers, set ingredients set out, and the oven behind you preheated. Lando immediately plucked a chocolate chip out of the bowl in front of him, popping it into his mouth. You smacked his arm, reminding him that those were for the cookies and not general consumption. The media interns laughed behind the camera, apparently already rolling.
“Care to explain what we’re doing here, Y/N? Give a little intro of sorts for this video.”
You nodded, a genuine smile on your face as Lando straightened out and crossed his arms beside you, letting you take the lead. You turned your attention towards the main camera lens and introduced the video.
“Hey there Papaya Army. Y/N and Lando-” you gestured towards Lando who gave his own little smile and wave to the camera “here in Abu Dhabi, ahead of the last race of the season, and I’ve somehow tricked Lando here into helping me out with a little holiday tradition of mine. You see, ever since I was a kid, every year I’d make some cookies with my mom, and before Christmas we’d hand them out to friends, school mates, family, the neighbours, and well… everyone. And I’ve carried on doing this every year. So today, Lando is going to help me make a bunch of cookies for the lovely folks who put up with us every race weekend at McLaren, and some of our friends around the grid. And to make it a little bit more fun, we’re making two different types of cookies and making people vote for which cookie they preferred.”
“This is definitely not fair.” Lando cut in, just now figuring out the competition part. “How am I meant to compete against a pro?”
“Figure it out Lan.” You couldn’t help the giggle that escaped. “Just to provide a bit more context to our wonderful viewers, all of our ingredients are pre-measured for us and instructions written out very clearly on these recipe cards.” You showed your recipe card to the camera, Lando making a show of pulling his right up to his face and inspecting it. “These are my own tried and true recipes, so as long as you follow the steps the cookies will turn out fine.” You added, more for Lando’s benefit.
Now that the video had been properly introduced, you and Lando dramatically shook hands, Lando chiming in with a cheeky “May the best baker win.”
This shouldn’t be that hard, right?
It started off fine, you already tossing your butter, brown and white sugar into the mixer without looking at the recipe because you already knew it off by heart. Lando copied you, because his chocolate chip cookie recipe had the same base as your peppermint white chocolate ones. Easy peasy.
Then came the eggs.
“Darling, I’d stop the mixer if I was you.” You said, as you cracked your eggs into your own mixer, one at a time.
“You’re not doing that…” Lando narrowed his gaze at you slightly, like he thought you were already trying to sabotage him.
You rolled your eyes, biting back a comment about him being an idiot. “Whatever. Don’t blame me when your cookies are full of eggshells cause you suck at cracking eggs...”
“I do not suck at-” he paused mid-sentence, a frown lining his face as he cracked the egg a little bit too hard against the bowl of the mixer, resulting in pieces of shell falling into his butter and sugar mixture. You raised your brow at him, waiting for him to finish that sentence with a full on ‘told you so’ look on your face. After finishing out every single bit of shell with a knife as you moved on to mixing your dry ingredients together, Lando heeded your advice and stopped the mixer for every egg he cracked moving forward.
The media team was laughing behind the camera, enjoying the grumbly comments Lando was making as he fell behind, taking far longer than you to incorporate his eggs and vanilla extract. At your own soft laughter, he threw a couple chocolate chips your way, earning an unimpressed look as they fell into your dry ingredients bowl.
“Don’t start…” You warned him, fishing the chocolate chips out of your bowl and putting them to the side, instead of throwing them back at Lando and encouraging a full fledge food fight.
You turned your attention back to your cookies, adding in about half a cup of the dry mixture to your wet mixture in the stand mixer at a time. You were so focused on your own batter, that you didn’t notice Lando dumping the entirety of his dry mixture into his own stand mixer in an attempt to catch up to you until it was too late, the white powder exploding around the kitchen the moment he’d started up the mixer again.
You gasped as you were hit with flour, immediately glaring at a sheepish Lando who had both hands around his mixer trying and failing to contain the mess.
“Oops.” Lando dissolved into a fit of giggles, almost collapsing to the floor because he started laughing so hard. One look at your flour covered figure and he really did fall, wheezing through his laughter. He eventually managed to pull himself back up, leaning onto the countertop to make sure he wouldn’t go down again. The rest of the room filled with laughs too, because this should have been expected. You caught sight of yourself in the viewfinder of the camera, and all your annoyance disappeared, your own laughter breaking free. Of course, this happened.
“Lando!” You said, failing to sound stern through your own laughs. “I can’t believe- actually I can believe it because of how adverse you are to following simple instructions, but seriously! Look at this mess!”
“I know-holy crap, I’m- how, what- This is why I stay out of the kitchen!” Lando could barely string two words together, clutching onto his stomach through his laughter. “I like this look on you, love.”
“Can’t say the same for you, handsome.” You rolled your eyes with no real irritation, dusting as much flour as you could off yourself.
You cut the recording at that point, taking a few minutes to clean the mess that Lando had made, through another fit of giggles from the two of you as Lando had to shake his head over the sink at the back of the room. The crew restarted his batch, creaming together more butter, white and brown sugar and eggs to get him back to the point he’d been at before he'd made that big mistake.
“Read the instructions this time around, please.” You begged as you retook your marks, sporting some clean aprons.
This time, Lando rolled his eyes at you. “Yeah, yeah. No more than 1 cup at a time.” He quipped just as the camera started rolling again.
You gave a brief explanation for the viewers about the little behind the scenes clean up before you carried on with making your cookie batter. Thankfully, there were no further incidents as you and Lando finished incorporating the dry ingredients to the wet, eventually also adding the peppermint and white chocolate chips to your batch and the plain milk chocolate chips to Lando’s batch.
To everyone’s amusement, Lando actually slapped your hand away when you’d gone to taste his batter to make sure that it had turned out alright before actually baking the cookies. Your jaw had dropped and you’d made a face at your boyfriends, but otherwise left him alone as you continued to banter back and forth for the camera.
Next was dividing up the batter onto some parchment paper lined baking sheets, the kitchen having these nifty little cookie scoops with a release button to make sure all your cookies would be the same size. You made a serious comment to Lando about how you wanted one of these as a Christmas gift for your shared apartment, the Brit smiling at your excitement over the tool. You’d made some pretty big batches, each filling multiple baking sheets with hundreds of cookies.
You popped everything into the oven at the same time, setting a timer and then all that was left to do was wait.
While you waited, the media team asked you and Lando some questions that had been submitted by the fans on the McLaren Instagram page. Most of them were about the season, and how you and Lando felt about finally having a competitive car that had gotten you quite a few podiums, and even your first race win this season. There were also a few about you and Lando, and what you liked to do during your down time, both individually and as a couple. It still surprised you every once in a while, how much people wanted to know about your relationship because you and Lando had done a pretty good job as separating your private lives from your public work lives.
Your mouth watered as the timers went off, pulling the delicious smelling cookie sheets out of the oven and allowing them a few minutes to cool. Unable to wait any longer, you grabbed one of your warm peppermint white chocolate cookies from one of the trays and proudly showed it off to the camera. They looked perfect.
“We’re not telling out trainers about this, right?” You asked jokingly, before eating half your cookie in one bite. It tasted like Christmas, filling you with inexplicable joy.
“Absolutely fucking not.” Lando agreed, doing the same thing and trying one of his chocolate chip cookies. He took a bite, his eyes widening in surprise. “Oh my lord, these are actually good!” He sounded so proud of himself as he spoke. “Babe, you have to try this and tell me what you think.”
You raised a brow at the fact that he’d just called you babe on camera, but let it slide as he brought the other half of his cookie to your mouth to try. You shoved the other half of your own peppermint cookie in his mouth at the same time, forcing him to try yours too. And to Lando’s credit, when he followed the recipe, his chocolate chip cookies had turned out fantastic as well, the cookie practically melting in your mouth.
“They are very tasty. You really did great, Lan.” You said, smiling proudly at your boyfriend who blushed scarlet at your praise. “See, not so hard when you follow the recipe. Does this mean you’ll help me every year now?”
“We’ll see.” Lando said, not making any promises as he laughed. You knew if you asked him to do it again next year, he wouldn’t say no. “Let’s just make sure that no one gets food poisoning first.”
“That’s…fair.” You chuckled along, before turning back to the camera and wrapping up the video. You explained that you and Lando were now going to box everything up and hand them out to your friends and team, before promising to share your recipes on social media and wishing all of the fans a happy holiday season. Lando echoed your holiday wishes, saying that he already couldn’t wait to start racing again next season even though you weren’t technically finished with this one yet.
It took longer than you’d care to admit to package up all the cookies and get them into bags so that it would be easier to hand them out. But, this was a better use of the media day down time than just hanging around doing nothing and dying of boredom as you waited for the race weekend to officially start.
Then, you made your way through the McLaren hospitality and garage, handing a little cookie package to every single person who worked for the team and thanking them for all their hard work throughout the season. Lando helped you with this part too, the smile never leaving his face when he saw how excited and genuinely appreciative your team was about something as simple as homemade cookies. A lot of people immediately dove in, stating their surprise when they learned that Lando had actually been responsible for making one of the types of cookies, and even more surprise when they turned out to be delicious. It seemed to be a pretty even split between everyone as to which type of cookie was their favourite between the two.
Then you made your way through the paddock with a few more bags filled with bundles of cookies, handing them to the journalists and media people you’d been interacting with on a weekly basis and also thanking them for making the media duties as painless as possible when they could. It’s safe to say that your cookies were the talk of the paddock, everyone enjoying the surprise treat at the end of the longest season in history.
You’d spent a lot of time at Alpine with Daniel, the Aussie and his trainer inhaling their boxes of cookies in one shot, in front of you and begging you to make them more once everyone got back to Monaco next week. Michael didn’t even give him shit for throwing off his whole diet plan for the week with your cookies, because they were that good. You promised you’d make him a bigger box when you got home so he could bring some with him to his parents when he went back to Australia for Christmas.
“Is that what I think it is?” Max asked, eyes on you the moment you’d stepped into the Red Bull garage. “I’ve been looking forward to this for weeks!” He added, knowing all about your cookie tradition from the two years you’d spent with Red Bull before you’d taken a long term contract with McLaren. Besides Lando, Max was easily the person you were closest to in the paddock, the Dutchman taking on the role of big brother when you’d first joined Formula 1.
Your smile widened as he all but ripped his box open, immediately taking a bite from chocolate chip cookie and making a sound that was slightly traumatizing to hear coming out of your best friend’s mouth, earning a laugh from those around. “I’m still made you won’t give me this recipe. Your chocolate chip cookies are seriously the best.”
“Lando actually made them.”
The smile dropped from Max’s face, his face becoming pale as he eyed what was left of the cookie in his hand. “You’re joking right? Lando’s never touched a frying pan in his life, let alone baked the best chocolate chip cookies in the world.”
You chuckled at the insulted expression that filled Lando’s face, shaking your head at Max and jumping in before Lando could voice his annoyance with Max’s comment. “Nope, we even filmed it for the McLaren socials.”
Max turned his narrowed gaze back towards Lando. “How?”
Lando shrugged a shoulder, acting like he hadn’t made the biggest mess you’d ever seen during his first attempt. “It’s not that hard when you follow the recipe.”
“You gave him the recipe!?” Max sounded absolutely betrayed. “After everything I’ve done for you?”
“Everything you’ve done for me?” You questioned, fighting back a laugh. “What, like crashing into me in China, 2019?”
Max threw his head back, like he did every single time you brought this up because you continued to hold his stupid accident over him every time you wanted to win an argument. “Everything but that.”
“Silverstone, 2020.” When Max had cut you off in qualifying, ruining a lap that would’ve put you on pole. You’d never been that annoyed about this one because you’d known he’d done it by accident, but you still brought it up every once in a while to bug him.
“And that.” He said sheepishly, finishing what was left of the cookie in his hand.
“Mhm.”
“It’s a good thing you two live a couple of buildings over in Monaco. I can just come bug you whenever I want this off-season for more cookies.” He smirked at you.
“Hell no.” Lando jumped in, not liking the prospect of the uninterrupted alone time he had planned with you over the next couple of months getting interrupted randomly by one of your closest friends. “She’s sharing the recipes on Instagram whenever the video goes live. Make em yourself.”
You pouted at Lando, because you could’ve kept bugging Max about this for a long time.
“Fantastic.” Max smirked, nodding his head. “I’m going to go hide these before my dad sees me eating them and gives me a hard time about it before a race.” He said it so casually, once again not realizing how easily he was trauma dumping onto you and Lando because this was sadly normal. It was no secret that you absolutely despised his father, having butted hands with the elder Verstappen from the moment you and Max had become friends at the beginning of your career. Besides, after Abu Dhabi, you were allowed to let a little loose with the food monitoring for a few weeks before you got back into shape for the next season.
“It’s the last race, who gives a shit?” You handed him a second box, Max giving you a wide smile in return.
“You’re the best.”
“I know.” You smiled as well.
After leaving Max to do whatever else he had to do today, you gave a box to Checo and his kids as well, before making your way out of the Red Bull garage and carrying on with your deliveries to the rest of the paddock. It took some time, considering how you’d stop to chat with whoever you gave them to, quickly talking about plans for the winter break with people you wouldn’t see until next February for winter testing. More people than you were expecting told you they’d been looking forward to your baking, having remembered it from the year before.
When your bags were empty, you and Lando made your way back to hospitality to grab your things and head back to the hotel to order some room service and chill out for the rest of the evening before the race weekend fully kicked off tomorrow. You walked through the paddock hand in hand, Lando taking the initiative to order the room service for the two of you while you’d taken a super quick shower and changed into some far more comfortable clothes (sweats and a quadrant shirt that both belonged to Lando), settling on the bed with Lando to watch whatever movie he’d found on the TV.
“You’re amazing, you know.” Lando said out of nowhere, while you’d both been working through your pasta that had arrived for dinner.
“How so?”
“You had absolutely no obligation to do any of that today, but you still did it knowing that something as small as a few cookies would brighten a lot of people’s days.”
Your cheeks heated at the compliment, small smile taking over your face. “Thank my mom for this one. She’s the one who started this. And… I like making people happy. If a box of cookies is going to make someone smile, it’s pretty damn worth it is you ask me.”
“Amazing.” Lando said, making sure to look right into your soul as he repeated his earlier assessment so you could see just how much he meant it. “I still have no fucking clue how I managed to get someone as amazing as you to love me.”
“It certainly wasn’t because of your ability to read and follow a recipe.” You couldn’t help but tease, the opening right there for the joke.
And Lando laughed, taking it. He always did.
“But, right back at you, Lan. You have no idea how much I actually enjoyed sharing this with you today. It made my heart really happy and full.”
He was looking at you with that small sincere smile that he only ever shared with you, making you melt a little on the inside. “I promise I’ll actually read the recipe next year.”
“Next year?!” You couldn’t help your excitement.
Lando nodded, confirming his intention to share this with you forever. “Anything for you, love.”
“I love you so much, Lan.”
“Me too.” He gave you that smile again, before sneaking his fork onto your plate and stealing a bite of your pasta.
Just like that your mushy moment was over, things going back to that standard lighthearted mood as you tried and failed to keep Lando away from your food. You couldn’t think of anyone you’d want to do this with other than Lando.
He really was the perfect person for you.

Pep Talk-A TLG fanfiction
The Pridelands felt unusually quiet. That’s how it seemed to Pua, at least. Though it felt different this time. He wasn’t basking on land or floating around in Lake Matope with his fellow crocodiles. He wasn’t even with his old hippo friend, Basi. He was alone and he wasn’t used to it.
It all happened so suddenly. What Pua thought was going to be another day of feeding his now former float turned into a mashindano between him and Makuu. Though he had much more experience and technique, he knew he wasn’t young anymore. Makuu was younger and more physically fit than he was. Despite using all of his tricks, Makuu was able to hold him down, forcing him to finally tap out and be banished from the float.
Now, it was just him.
Pua stopped when he got to an empty watering hole. He needed a drink, especially after what just happened. He faced his reflection and sighed somberly.
“Oh spirits,” he lamented to himself before taking a sip, “what do you suppose I do now that I’m on my own?”
“Hey, handsome.”
Pua’s head immediately rose upon hearing that voice. It was beautiful and so…familiar. He hadn’t heard it in so long—but no. It couldn’t be! That voice had left him long ago, yet he knew it anywhere. He found himself glancing at the clouds, being met with the head of a beautiful crocodile. Her skin was a slightly lighter shade of green and her snout was longer with brown spots at the tip. His jaw dropped.
“….Kuimba?”
The spirit grinned. Pua blinked.
“I must be hallucinating.” he said, “It can’t be you… can it?”
Kuimba took a moment to look at herself to the best of her ability. She nodded. “I think so. It’s wonderful to see you again, my love. Although, you look different. Were those wrinkles always there? You look….old.”
Pua returned the grin, chuckling a bit. That was his mate, alright. A tad ditzy, but she could still lift his spirits no matter how hard of a day he had. It was one of the many reasons why he had loved her so much. He quickly compiled all of his thoughts.
“It has been a while since you’ve completed your journey,” he answered. “Things have changed.”
Pua’s face fell upon saying those words. Kuimba took notice.
“Rough day, hm?”
Pua sighed. “You have no idea.”
“What’s bothering you?” Kuimba asked.
Pua took a deep breath. “Makuu challenged me to a mashindano.”
“Really?”
“He disagreed with my decision to not eat the fish in Basi’s watering hole. It was either that or I surrendered my leadership at that moment. I fought my best, but he was much stronger than he appeared to be.”
This time, it was Kuimba’s turn to be surprised.
“You mean you lost? My, that’s a first. You’ve never lost a mashindano before.”
“My strength isn’t what it used to be.” Pua replied. “It was inevitable.”
“Wasn’t Makuu the one that looked up to you?”
Pua did not expect his late mate to remember that, but it was true. He remembered it so clearly; how Makuu would always be right behind Pua whenever on a stroll when he was a hatchling, how he would copy his fighting style, how Pua took notice of it all and used to brag about himself to the other adults.
Yet it was so long ago.
Pua nodded. “He was. He’s all grown up now, as are the rest of the hatchlings.” Pua frowned, “I just wish I was a better role model back then. Perhaps his ego wouldn’t have been so big as it is now.”
Kuimba chuckled. “He reminds me of you!”
“Yes, he does.”
“Are you afraid Makuu wouldn’t be a good leader?”
“Of course not. I know he will eventually change his ways and come to respect the Circle of Life. I should know, I’ve been in the same position.” Pua said. He sighed. “But…that is not the problem.”
“Then what is?”
“Kuimba, I have been training my entire life to be a leader and I tried my absolute best to be a good one. It was my responsibility to do what was best for my float, no matter what happened. It’s been that way for a long time. But now that I have been banished, I…..”
Pua lowered his head sadly, averting his gaze from the spirit.
“I have nothing left to offer.”
Kuimba frowned. “Oh, Pua…but that’s just not true.”
Pua lifted his head again. “How so?”
“Well, think of it as a good thing. Now that you’re not a leader anymore, you have much more free time to do whatever you want. You can still spend some time with your old friends and even meet new ones.”
“Perhaps, but I still don’t see how I am of any use anymore.” Pua responded.
“Your wisdom, sweetheart.” Kuimba said. “You’ve lived a long life and plenty of experience to go with it. You can give others your advice whenever they need it.”
Pua thought for a moment, remembering everything that led him to where he was now. It was true, he had learned so much over the years. From all the sparring techniques he taught himself in his youth to lessons about the circle of life taught by his old friend and former ruler, Mufasa. He remembered using those lessons to teach Makuu and the other crocodiles. But would it be helpful to other animals as well? Would they even listen to him? He cocked a brow.
“Do you really think so?”
“Of course I do.” A gentle smile had formed on Kuimba’s face, matching her kind eyes. “Go, live your best life. You deserve it.”
That last line struck Pua harder than he thought. He thought about how he used to be as a young adult. He used to be so arrogant and cruel, caring only for his desires with no regard for the Circle of Life. That was until his first Kupatana as a new leader of the crocodiles when he learned his ways would not be acceptable if he were to keep his position. So many factors had turned him from an insufferable brute to the humble crocodile he is now.
One of those factors… was Kuimba.
How he had ever managed to win her heart was beyond him. She was absolutely perfect, from her natural beauty to her gorgeous singing voice to her kindness that made even the toughest creatures respect her. She had every reason to not be interested in him, yet she was. She was the one who taught him how there was more to life than fighting. How the land could be a beautiful place once he stopped and looked around. She got him to open his eyes. And now here she was, assuring him how he deserves to live the remaining years of his life in the best way possible.
Oh, how he loved her.
Kuimba once again took notice of Pua's demeanor. He had said nothing, only grinning warmly as his eyes began to get a bit moist. His eyes were focused only on her before she spoke up.
“Pua darling, what is it?”
“Nothing, it’s just…” Pua’s smile grew wider, “you look just as beautiful as the day I lost you.”
Kuimba giggled, “You still desire me after all this time?”
“Of course.” Pua replied, “You were the heart and soul of the float, after all. Life isn’t the same without you.”
“Really? You seemed to be doing just fine without me.”
“That does not mean I missed you any less.”
Kuimba’s smile flourished at those words. A sudden wind whistled in both crocodiles’ ears. She nodded submissively.
“It seems my time is up for now.”
“Your time?”
“As much as I’d love to, I can’t talk to you forever. I only came to give you advice.”
“I see,” Pua said, “will I ever see you again?”
“Whenever you need help, dearest. But I’ll always be watching over you.”
Pua smiled, “Until next time, my love…and thank you.”
Kuimba’s spirit faded within the clouds, leaving Pua alone again. Yet, he did not feel so lonely anymore. He was going to find a new place to call his territory, one fit just for him. He was going to help his former float in any way he could despite his banishment. His old life was behind him.
Now all he had to do was make a new one.

Navigating the Online LOA Community:
I’ve been studying the law for around 3 years now, and I’ve learned to navigate the nonsense and drama that pops up every now and then, but for my new learners who may fall into the mess or feel more comfortable at the moment learning through socials such as twitter or tumblr, here are some tips:
do not involve yourself in frivolous things like drama in the community.
It is ridiculous. do not interact, you are god and you have better things to do, it is nothing but a distraction, don’t get swept up in bs, manifest your dream life. wasting your time on things like choosing sides, trying to disprove people’s success, argue your understanding vs. another persons understanding of the law (even though the way both of you are doing it, despite differences, is working for both of you because you BELIEVE IT, which is the law..), and other things of the sort is so embarrassing, truly.
do not put any blog on a pedestal.
I don’t not care who it is, not even me. No one should be placed higher than you in YOUR reality. Learning from someone and appreciating their perspective on the law that helps you understand and form your own routine in manifesting is great, but becoming a fan to the point where you are no longer considering yourself, making affirmations like “I manifest like jujuonthatvoid32’s blog” is taking it far. You will never manifest like them, you can only manifest like you. Stop giving your power away. And for the love of god, do not give anyone money to manifest for you. They are not god in your reality, you are, act like it.
set boundaries.
I personally will mute, block, unfollow, or completely ignore the drama. Choosing sides, doxing people, arguing in comment sections and through subtweets is childish and unnecessary. I understand everyone loves a good gossip sesh every now and then but keep it offline, it’s annoying. In part I can understand someone trying to fight for the truth or defend themselves, but with this newfound power, why do you feel the need to? It is mind numbingly ignorant some of the drama that comes out of this community.
check your disbelief at the door.
If you are not ready to be challenged on everything you have ever known to be true, If you are not open to learning, if you have come to this community just to disprove and catch everyone in a hoax, there is no reason for you to be here. You are wasting your time, and bothering the wrong people. What you need to do is focus on your own success and stop being obsessed with others. Focus on yourself and for the love of god do not get on here with another exposé of yet another blog you can “prove” is lying about their success. We quite literally don’t care, and for those that do entertain that, I genuinely question if you are here to learn or if you are here for drama. Create a tea page, your own tag, and stay over there.
There are new people joining this community every day and I honestly think their introduction to this community being that is such a waste.
focus on source, put your phone down.
At the end of the day, drama will ensue in any community, unfortunately ridiculous popularity contests, silly and redundant exposés, ridiculous and baseless arguments about what and who to believe and trust will be around. However, remember to go to source. Read Neville Goddard, practice and apply, tune out the nonsense and remember who you are and what your power is. None of that matters, just you and your reality. Learn how it works, learn how YOU manifest, this is all available to you. I recommend starting with feeling is the secret, but you can start anywhere because this is YOUR journey.
There is no wrong way to manifest and there is no inherently right way to manifest, you have been doing it all your life. It is all based on you. Stop being distracted, stop becoming obsessed with others, and focus on you.
(tough) luv, che.
