It’s a strange feeling to realise that both my grandpa and dog visited me in a dream last night.
At least she (my dog) knows how much I love her bc I’ve told her that a few times during the course of that dream and I could tell my grandpa about my work and how I enjoy it.
Still, not something you just shake off in the morning. I wonder if they knew that I needed them

the percy jackson racial discourse will never not be insane to me because rick has said several times that he was pressured to make pjo a very white and heteronormative series but as soon as he had power he made every other book as diverse and queer as he wanted.
how were you guys surprised that when given the opportunity, he diversified his story the way he had originally wanted to???

I love that in the s1 script book, when ghost!Aziraphale finds Crowley in the pub, Crowley is meant to be coherent, failing valiantly at getting drunk — but instead Tennant plays him absolutely sloshed. His complete helplessness to his grief and love and wonder after so many millennia of (mostly) keeping his cool really makes the scene.

Something that I find really interesting narratively about chapter 7 is that Malleus and Silver are foils to their parents.
Meleanor hated humans from the bottom of her heart. In part 5, she punished Silver, Sebek and MC for just looking at her by forcing them to kneel to the point they couldn’t breathe, she wishes for Malleus to be feared by all humans- not loved by all, loved by only fae and feared by only humans.
She never listened to anybody, not even Lilia who did everything he could to save and protect her.
Malleus now has formed a friendship with MC all on his own, he cared for Silver since he was a baby. He listens to Lilia’s advice and cares about what he thinks, and is always trying to connect with people better
The Knight of Dawn knew what he was doing to Meleanor and Briar Valley was wrong, he had enough sense to warn Lilia about what the Silver Owls were planning to do with the egg and give him room to escape, but he did not stand up for what was right.
The Knight couldn’t bear to go against the family that took him in, so he committed something awful simply because he was told to.
Silver, despite his fierce loyalty to Lilia and Malleus, stands up for what he knows is right even if it means going against their wishes.
Silver would never harm Malleus ever and actively works towards unity between fae and humans.
Their parents were enemies, but their sons are brothers. I love that.

Being a kid and watching Danny Phantom meant accepting what the show wanted you to know: Dark Danny and Vlad were evil. They were one-dimensional villains who were just there to be evil. They were there to be everything that our Danny wasn’t.
Being an adult reading AGIT is acknowledging that Dark Danny lost everything he had at 14 years old. He was a just a child, one that had already been carrying too much for his age. Danny stopped emotionally growing at 14 and tried taking away his pain, but only became consumed by his anger. Being an adult who has experienced loss is understanding exactly how Danny feels. That anger is so much easier than pain.
Being an adult reading AGIT is understanding that Vlad was only in college when his best friend’s negligence cost him his life. Being an adult is understanding that Vlad lost everything too, nearly as young as Danny did.
Being an adult is understanding that no one is black and white. No one is good or evil. We’re all just trying our best. AGIT did such a good job representing this.
