It kinda throws me off how south korean feminists are revered here sorta for group action, we were more of acting in an individual scale and stayed apolitical. Tumblr radfems wouldve called us class climbers and bootlickers, it was quite far from socialism or anything and neither am i...but though it reached far beyond radfem circles with celibacy and put misandry into trend, it also put massive backlash and a tide of antifeminist waves in Korea where feminism is only more demonized and terf became a hate word for christian(lol) groups and MRAs. It was years of a lot of rage and i think the rage and doom is what brought Korean women foward amd encouraged us to trash men, but i think the real crux lay on how funny we made the bold misandry and just made a point to how pathetic it is to uphold or engage with males. But the more palettable we tried to make radfeminism or try to engage with women who were deep in the trenches, what really tippwd women over was mostly the violent reactions the korean males showed themselves. It triggered a massive male hysteria and put that out in the open or to finally be aware of that and it was hard to go back after being disillusioned. All and all we can't help women who do not want to help themselves.

The tactics - short catchy words phrases or memes about men, it lost its luster when we tried to explain or reason it with "mirroring" selling it as a part of activism where we mirror tje same attitudes men showed to women with just switching the subject from women to men. People instinctly cower away from anything too grand or requiring action and any -isms, activisms, and it should be more natural like breathing air which baits women into ideas without being instantly tired. In tumblr terms we woulsve been...rudefems? Freakfems? folx wouldve thrived in forums and it was all how it was during its boom and heyday.

Once you get acquainted with misandry its a step away from taking men too seriously and being susceptible to backlash. Radfem and terfs nearly died in Korea in numbers as a whole but in a way we are alive on how we practice female seperatism and the ideas seeped into our normal lives and made the threshold for acceptable male behaviour higher. It was natural that backlash is fierce and when backlash comes it is in a way proof of progress and status quo being threatened.

Today its a hellish mixture of twitterish libfeminism with radfem terminology thrown in here and there. It failed because they couldnt let go of leftist men and not my nigels and a mixture of girlboss girlpower empowerment sexual liberation feminism mixed with a heavy focus on politics rather than individual action(that requires personal work, and individual change) with the stringent standards radical feminists required of everyone such as cutting your hair short, having a buzz cut and no makeup -unless you are not a feminist type of logics adapted into libfem critique of anyone that doesnt meet the 100% feminist standard - and the burnout was real.

and i really just love the part in this scene when suletta starts fidgeting and we SEE miorine notices this. we SEE miorine notice that suletta is deeply uncomfortable with this conversation. it's such a blink or you'll miss it moment and i just really appreciate that detail

i really wish we would have gotten miorine finding out more about the vanadis incident on-screen instead of it being part of all the things that got off-screened in the second of the show

like at some point her and suletta had to have talked about all this, yeah? suletta even has "first-hand" knowledge of sorts because of eri pummeling her with data transfer memories

i just really want to see that conversation so bad. i can't imagine how miorine feels knowing it was her kuso oyaji that started all this and destroyed elnora's family. it just adds to my headcanon that miorine has not forgiven him at the end

anyway tho like. now that ive played the 1.2 story and sat on it a bit id say my overall thoughts are def mixed. i enjoyed a lot of it but theres some things that sorta just stick out or dont work and the pacing definitely worked against the story

(just a long rant/ramble upcoming its not coherent at all lol)

one thing that rly rubbed me the wrong way was like. while overall this story rly sold fu xuan as a character to me (i was a huge fan of her presence overall) the dan shu thing just felt? wrong? and like to be clear it wasnt just fu xuan the scenes writing was off in general but her role in being the one countering dan shus points just made her p central to the problem.

but like my issue is that dan shu is previously established as having very understandable reasons behind her resentment of lan that made her compelling as twist villain imo. Yet that resolve was nowhere in the scene in her rebuttal of the xianzhous ways?? when i think that shouldve been The moment of her calling out the xianzhou and actually challenging fu xuan properly. it wouldve been an even better opportunity to expand upon how fu xuan responds to being confronted with the xianzhous flaws and hypocrisy and problems. but somehow yassified dan shu really just. had a generic villain speech and thats it. the callback to their heritage as former followers of abundance was... fine? but like it wasnt that impactful. and fu xuan essentially calling her nothing but a power hungry villain when thats very much Not what dan shus motivation boils down to sucks and now players who didnt read her diary or play/pay attention to her side quest will think of her as just a generic bad guy and not a very tragic complex figure of her own

then the like. underutilization of blade was just like. ok what was the point. it IS funny to reference the tuxedo mask meme and how he skewers his ex yet immediately gangs up with him against yanqing and all but honestly he shouldve gotten to be more feral and present than he did like its just meh. ig its kafka keeping him from messing up elios script but cmon. i want more of him. yanqing also got done so dirty in that scene like. he shouldve gotten some more screentime and focus even if his job was p much to just get bodied. kid just watched jing yuan make deals with criminals no way he isnt affected by it

in general i was p shocked how inexistent the high cloud quintet was from the story. but ig w how rushed the pacing was for dan hengs backstory reveals at times already ig its better left for later (hopefully). i just rly hope this means that the topic get its time to shine properly in the future. esp since im p sure they never even named any of dan fengs crimes outright which is a curious choice.

jing yuan got a rly solid characterization and i definitely enjoyed it!!! even if im a little miffed at how they didnt give dan heng enough breathing room to come to terms with the emotional impact of facing his past and memories thanks to the plot moving forward so fast and he was kinda the one leading that. but he was still great - i liked the scheming side to him and the arguably pretty ruthless way he leveraged dan hengs exile status to force his hand to cooperate a lot. his reasoning makes sense obvi but its still a very brutal and utilitarian approach and i like that energy for his character. his duty is to the luofu above all else even if thats far from all he is about. overall his and dan hengs interactions including dan heng very much emphasizing his desire to be seen as separate from dan feng were a highlight for sure. and jing yuans final showdown moment against phantylia slapped obviously

and then w dan heng im torn between like. really loving all the good stuff we got with the insane cutscenes and the vidyadhara echoes and then wishing that he got just that little bit more for his own realizations and inner conflict. and the part about not properly featuring blade also hurt his story too imo bc the anticlimactic nature of the scene where blade confronts him and forces the transformation and how he n kafka just... leave rly kinda flattens the impact of the reveal moment esp since thats when jing yuan just all but openly says ok time for the plot. but they still did a great job selling DHIL and i think im overall a fan of how they seem to have handled the dan feng vs dan heng thing (and its roughly what i was expecting). dan feng is dead but its never just that simple either. i hope theyll be exploring the exact nature of dan fengs sins and the sedition in the future

im so mad i spoiled myself the tingyun thing bc jfc the neck snap wouldve hit So hard if the reveal itself was also a complete surprise. and its sth that was genuinely well built up like i remember thinking her 1.0 dialogue was kinda sus but wouldve never imagined the actual truth. dont do leaks folks sometimes this happens and it sucks :/ but i have to say phantylia herself was kinda? underwhelming. i liked when she picked up jing yuan like a little bug she wanted to squish and the boss fight was cool but to be fair. this was like 50% bc of how bad the sound mixing was for all of her dialogue that overlapped w in game battle. she rly lacks the necessary menace and imposing energy when u can barely even make out what shes saying 😭 her voice shouldve been as loud and large as her..... Presence. jing yuan carried the boss fight and the final cutscene but man the fade to black rly didnt do the abrupt ending any favors like we just teleport to exalted sanctum and thats it???? maybe jing yuan dies maybe not!!!

overall my prime issue is p much just how like. it feels like they shoved 3-4 mini arcs worth of stuff into one speedrun when all of them deserved more focus and exploration and the pacing rly got rough at times. it wasnt like inazuma level bad but it does get me wondering if hoyos just bad at doing these big conclusions to prior build up and holding the story threads tightly together until the end.

this comes off as super negative helpp but like. by no means did i hate all of it so dont take it the wrong way lmao. its more that there was good stuff there but also wasted potential. for the most part i was having a blast but to be fair that was 40% just playing blade ridiculously underleveled through it all. i only got him to lvl 80 for the boss fight

so i had a long talk w ruby abt ocs and the future of my stories and i have come to a realization that i wish i wouldve had a long time ago lol

i dont...HAVE to make everything into a comic in order to share the story and characters. like. not everything has to be mirrors. i can just Share Shit if i want to.

sometimes i get bummed ppl dont ask me abt my ocs but like..its my fault they dont??? it really is. because i never TALK about them to the point of getting people interested enough to ask about them! why would someone wanna ask about an oc they havent been given any stuff to be interested about???

for a long time i kept all my ocs' stories a secret because i wanted to be spoiler-free in the event i made their stories into comics, which i did plan on doing for a while. but now im realizing i dont have to do that to share their stories. AT THE VERY LEAST i might write a fic about their stories and maybe people will read them. but yknow what??? i dont even have to do THAT much if i dont want to. i can just make text posts and little doodles explaining them.

i know a lot of u are genuinely fans of my comic works, and i love you so so much and appreciate the hell out of you!! so i do want to continue the comics i already have going on. mirrors kind of Has to be a comic bc 1) im balls deep in it already LOL, and 2) it feels like a comic that needs to be made in order for my vision to get across. i want people to Feel what im feeling about mirrors. villain + school will likely finish as a comic bc its pretty easy and not as much effort as mirrors and its a fun story for me too. doppelganger ii...will most likely only be one chapter as a comic. ngl. but i will finish that one chapter i swear to god

band name: how did they and the others come up with the band name? has the name changed since it was founded? 

so tara’s band is called twiceshy – derived from the old saying ‘once bitten, twice shy’. it was originally an edgy joke between her and seven when they were freshmans, reference a traumatic experience tara had as a child wherein she was uh. mauled by a pitbull lol 💀 i like to think the name was actually the final puzzle piece in terms of her healing emotionally from that experience – she'd been through a lot of therapy over the years as a result obviously, and ended up coming out the other side with an ironic fondness for pitbulls and all misunderstood breeds in general. they even made their band icon a pitbull !  

since then she leans HEAVY into dog motifs in her writing because she vibes w the themes. her own defensiveness, her intense attachment to loved ones, her stubbornness, the tendency people have to not respect her as an aggressive animal when pushed . . . she relates ! and also being a woman in a male dominated metal scene.... shes been called a bitch a lot. so why not go all out with it lol 

beginnings: when and how did they know they wanted to be a professional musician? was there a deciding factor? 

seven was the deciding factor :( before she met him tara was aimless. she was a shy angry kid with no friends and no hobbies outside of writing embarrassing poetry in her textbooks during class and daydreaming. tara was the one who got sev into rock, but SEVEN was the one who introduced her to music and singing in general as an outlet. i don't think she even realized how talented a singer she was until he told her, bc she was so shy prior to meeting him. since then she's always pushed herself to be exceptional in her vocals and her writing bc she does feel like this is the closest thing she has to purpose. but then, even if she hated it (and she does honestly hate the idea of fame) she wouldve done it all anyway just to be close to seven forever.

bandmates: how do they feel about the members of the band? would they still be interested in stardom if they weren’t with that group?

hmmmm..... it's complicated atm? i think things are okay right now with the band, but tense ! they've been tense since The Vote, which tara vehemently objected to and still resents. i really sincerely hope there's a chance for mc to confront their bandmates over the decision, bc . . . yeah. she loves them all, but a part of her blames them for destroying her relationship and future with seven. since his exit she's coped by immersing herself the work and hyperfocusing solely on mastering the craft and pushing herself to her limits, bc she struggles to relate to them socially at the time being. but also.... unless she left the band to be with seven, there's no way she would leave them for greener pastures. she's more about "sharing art" than fame, and her anxiety couldn't handle being untethered from everyone she loves like that.

lyrics: what are some songs you associate with your character? any specific lyrics that really scream your character?

saint bernard by lincoln for that sick dog motif ofc. tara's got so many similar lyrics like that and the majority are about seven. lol.

alternatively happy song by bring me the horizon reminds me of her relationship with music/performing in general. she has such intense social anxiety offstage, but the nature of her genre (heavy metal lol) helps her circumnavigate that fear and absolutely RAGE on stage. it's a great outlet and the one part of being a public facing figure that she enjoys.

what is your favorite trope to roleplay?

one of my wildest little roleplays ive done was with a good friend of mine on a discord server - between badgerstar and luckystar, leaders of two different clans throughout the wacky world of warrior cats. a pair that's known each other throughout their entire lives, and never wouldve suspected either they themselves or that the other would rise to the title that they have now. luckystar is the kind of cat who'd always make sure to stop by whenever the gatherings would happen - she'd always come up to him and pull badgerstar aside, she'd always pop by and check in whenever she saw him on the borders and out in the territory … she'd always try to make sure things were going alright for him. she'd always try to make sure he didn't have anything to be upset about, or to be sad about … and eventually, its probably one of my favorite kind of ideas whenever it comes to a forbidden romance. luckystar had plenty of cats around her - she had a family, she had kits, she had her friends and parents in the stars … but he had none of it. he messed up plenty of times in his life, and when their forbidden relationship one day led to fights and wars between their two mighty clans - in the end of it all, when their tales both came to an end, luckystar had a little bit of a choice to make. she had her family, her loves and her friends she could be with. cats who had oh so much ruined by this feline that only she seems to understand and she decided to step away from them to be with him. to be with badgerstar. after all, she got to live her whole life with these cats - but she never got to be with her true love, and now in the unlife, she'll have her time to finally be with him. she'll always be there whenever the rest of the stars avoid him for what he did in his life, for how he acts and his crimes that he regrets… she's always been there whenever he's alone, and now she follows him on to every end of the stars. we havent got to finish it, but… god its something i really want to try some more. its one of the things i love the most, and it got onto an aspect of luckystar that's truly amazing to me - because, for how selfless and loving she was towards him… she had the option to try and redeem badgerstar in the stars. but she finally decided, after all of this time, after all of her lives - to have someone to herself. that's absolutely the sort of thing i love the most and smthn i wanna do again someday … badluck <3

who are your longest roleplay friends?

we don't meet as often as we used to, but a little group chat im in with 4 other people has some of the closest friends ive made through roleplay! two of them i met about 4 years ago through pokemon roleplay, and the other 2 i found through the very same warrior cats server and got to bond with before we started gaming together … we dont rlly roleplay too much anymore, but its been a blast and we still vibe quite often with each other!! i wouldnt say i have really many stories that have gone on for that long though,, i havent had many roleplays that have lasted all too long and its so hard to find people that do warrior cats stuff PFF, although i hope eventually that i can say smthn fits this part of things!

do your friends outside the internet know your roleplay?

ohh absolutely not lol … i feel like they would be accepting, but im terrified to say absolutely anything about it to anyone irl. i dont have the confidence to mention it to anyone, the closest thing ive gotten to it was my sister being in a roleplay server for a few days a couple years back - im 99% sure she does roleplay, but most defo not like me lol

why do you write?

writing has gotten me where i am if im being honest. i dont think i would be anywhere near as good as i am at ideas like game design or just making stories in general or programming if it wasnt for roleplay, and i feel like id be a lot less interesting of a person without it wfhuegih?? ive learned so much through this community and its changed my life over the past 6 years or so, i dont know where id be without it! it prepared me for where id end up going, writing funky lil mew mews…

do you welcome duplicates of your character or stay away from them?

YES!!! I ABSOLUTELY ADORE IT SM…. i really like seeing peoples interpretations of my mysteries and lil ideas, yet ive only ever found once or twice an idea that actually had someone else using one of my ocs - i absolutely love the thought of it … a lot of my ocs are the sorts of ocs that i not only rlly love to play around with, but are also what id ADORE to roleplay with!

is there one trope you can’t stand?

i really … don't like things with romance and other sort of points where one person is supposed to be superior to the other, like love triangles n whatnot. its something i have a lot of past trouble with and probably would only do with a group i REALLY trust not to take it ooc like??? lord

what is your opinion on writing smut?

have your boundaries, dont force it on people - but i don't see why it would be much of a problem, especially with someone you trust and whatnot! it's a good way to explore!

do you need music/noise to write or do you prefer silence?

i almost never write with music or whatnot ,,, i am SO BAD at writing with it LMAO i am very easily distracted and while i might be able to vibe with some lil things without lyrics like rain and little tunes, anything more and i wont rlly be able to do it very well i absolutely do play music before writing some stuff though, i get inspiration from it but definitely not while actively writing

what is your opinion on tagging triggers?

always if youre asked, its not that hard to do! otherwise i try my best for the more obvious stuff, but in general there isnt much i write about without intentionally nulling it down a little with things like more gorey writing or whatnot

do you prefer long or short replies and why?

in between really! i am absolutely capable of both but long replies i feel like depend so much on motivation that makes my writing a lot more infrequent, while short replies is a lot harder to make a story out of …. but something in between would absolutely be amazing, a nice compromise between smthn that takes more work and something that can be done in a short amount of time <3 the main time im fine with short replies is things like one shots … ive never found someone to do things like just little romance or adventure one shots at night with to pass the time but i feel like thatd be the time for it! i adore the idea a ton though <3

I made a Froakie about... 3 years ago, but I never took a picture of it before I immediately sent her off to an in-law. I also didn't write down any sort of pattern, so this felt like crocheting Froakie for the first time again. I like her little nose bubbles. They're like a milk-stache.

is really surprised when you share that you're actually a single dad. he sees you as being very non chalant around him, so he finds it kind of hard to see you as a parent, but you cant judge a book by its cover, as he says.

when he first meets your son, it was very awkward, to say the least. there was a noticeable age gap, however it wasnt a gigantic. he couldnt exactly relate to him, but at the same time, he wasn't old enough that he could have that "dad full of wisdom" vibe, so it was just very stiff at first.

the ice breaker is when he was visiting while your sons' friends were over, and they were talking about some kind of meme. hagakure noticed, and made a response that was another meme, popular amongst the "youngsters".

they all laughed since they thought it was funny, asking for him to say some more memes he knows. its not every day that your friends dads boyfriend makes a joke that is funny to teens.

he has to be in the same school as a bunch of teenagers, so he hears alot of the jokes they make in his own friends group as well, he sort of has to catch up to their humor so he doesnt become that oblivious friend.

whenever youre scolding your kid for something, he'll be the middle ground and peacekeeper. if he thinks youve gone too far with scolding him/with his punishment, he tells you that its not fair and that kids do dumb thing sometimes.

if he thinks that your son is in the wrong, then he'll speak to him one-on-one, and tries to get an explaination since hes seen as more as a friend by your child, and not as a step father of some kind, so hes okay with telling him.

definitely appreciates you as a single parent, since his mom is a single mother, he knows how hard it is to be a parent, let alone being one while not having anyone help you out.

decides that from now on, he will be the one to help you out. he'll assist you with laundry, cooking, cleaning, and the list goes on. he wants to be a dependable man, since you probably have enough stress to deal with. the least he can do is finish the chores around the house.

as time goes on, your son and him will grow a special bond together. its to the point where they both have their own inside jokes, and they go on step dad and son bonding days, where they go out and do random things together. its really wholesome to see the two people that you love most in life get along.

is not very strict. sure, he has the common sense to not let your kid skip school, but if your son gives him a slip that was from his teacher, stating that he forgot to do a very important assignment, he'll just say "lol teachers suck, try doing it next time though, heres my signature."

whenever there are times where youre doubting your parenting skills, he'll comfort you by pointing out all the great habits and traits your kid has because of your influence.

you're an amazing dad in his eyes, and he wouldve loved to have a father like you. yasuhiro will always be there for you and your son during rough times, so i can reassure you that hes not going anywhere.

My favorite in the ATLA series 👀👀👀

Okay so my friend and i both agreed that objectively the Renjun one was the best. Like the plot, the CHARACTER DEPTH, and the execution was perfect *chefs kiss*

BUT MY FAVORITE WAS THE HAECHAN ONE AHAHAH His character and the storyline of it was so appealing to me cuz he was like playful and fun but with a ✨vulnerable✨ side, oh and a gang of air bending thieves is always fun. THE SHARING THE BED TROPE IS SUCH AN OVERPLAYED TROPE BUT I LOVE IT ALL THE SAME SO 😩💓

Plus i laughed my ass off when i first thought haechan would be portrayed as a monk that’s bald with arrow tattoos 🤣 (not to mention the addition of the mental image of bald mark, jisung, and chenle LMAOOO)

Oh and sidenote: I remember being very curious about how all the boys’ reactions and interactions wouldve been like if she actually went to each nation and collected them. And then formed her own Team Avatar. That would’ve been hella awesome man ASHDKSMA like a harem but with bending 💯 but not over the top, it would be lowkey only like Ouran Highschool Host Club (a harem anime thats not in your face harem) or smth. I highkey believe that in that scenario Renjun would be the canon love interest just because. 😌

Except nonsensical horseshit writing tier, but richly satisfying only since all these casuals got their long time fandom comeuppance that D&D decided to break away from fucking pandering to over the years, to glance at the cliffnotes GRRM gave them like “oh yeah, this is how we should end it huh”.

It would seem none of the casuals cared how shite the show has been for four seasons until it came for their fav.

“YASSSSS QUEEEN SLAY, BURN THEM ALL”

but then pikachu face and ragepost onto the telegraph.co.uk when she does exactly that.

It’s like they have never considered what a medieval sacking is really like (there’s a reason why losing a siege is so distressing).. let alone remember such at the beginning of the series. Or that, perhaps a deeply traumatized most-likely-inherited insanity gene incest baby teenaged girl who has made a habit of disobeying better advice to exact draconian (ayyy) punishment on those who cross her would.... strike to instill fear and assert power over those she feels and sees drifting support to a future rival. It’s always been her kind of response (crucifying the great masters in meereen), so why would it be different here? And that would be the case even if she isn’t insane. It’s arguable that Daenerys is an attempt to write a humanized Sauron, arriving with scary foreign armies from the east to conquer everything and all.

And i do intend to focus on Daenerys here because it’s clear she’s the only character in the television series who has not had her storyline merged with others or completely derailed or invented it seems. The TV ASoIaF was condensed down to fit her story over maintaining the disparate many storylines that got lost in this process. However, even in Daenerys’ case, she too lost alot of contextualization that wouldve prepared for this ending the way Ned’s actions set up the keener audience for his telegraphed, eventual death.

One of the earliest annoyances I’ve had with the show from as early as season 3 or 4, was the plot armour afforded to Daenerys, when in the books it was clear she was constantly making poor judgements and was being needlessly totalitarian and governing as a literal entitled teenaged girl would... not to mention her brash Feel Good ideological policies reterritorializing the slaver cities that eventually began to completely fuck up the economies and societies there into total brutal collapse that she eventually flees from on the back of her dragon. This never happened or was handled with softer gloves in the show.

It’s like the politics and the obvious (no matter how poorly written by the show runners, we see bits of GRRM shine thru here) themes of how shit feudalism and humanity’s tendencies was lost among the greater audience here. Let alone the oft-referred to quote by GRRM of, “if you think this has a happy ending, then you haven’t been paying attention.”

Not that it has been particularly easy to in recent seasons, because of D&D’s show leading, causing the show to go fullbore fantasy shock. But this, nonetheless...

The previous episode was clearly a snap back to the book storyline and it’s only so jarring because it hasn’t been set up properly in the show yet ... and I feel I’d want to place blame on the (cathedral pew) audience here as much as I do, the showrunners (and the actors for ballooning rates in light of the show’s ongoing success constraining budgets for a wider cast, but w/e) if only because it were them who cried the loudest at “irresponsible” film making like showing medieval people... being medieval to eachother... The casual audience begged and protested to see a reflection of contemporary society, actually a model for contemporary society (no rape! no sexism! no racism! no patriarchy!) instead of the flatly backward, jarring medieval one it started out with and became popular from. They recoiled at any attempt to make the women characters fallible or prone to being anything less than examples of smug girl power. case in point: the complete bastardization of the Dorne plot to sand snek BAD PUSSY

This casual audience had a hand in pushing the show into doing the fantasy feel good schlock with no stakes that the series originally intended to upend.

The fantasy tropes introduced to the series were intended to be subverted only to expose and critique society and human nature toward a broader theme of War is Bad, medieval patriarchy is fucking shitty to live under, and we will continue to kill each other over a petty Game and disregard looming existential threats -- explicitly the one established in the first chapter of the first book... After all, the books were written by a very anti-nuclear weapon, environmentalist and cynical left-leaning feminist GRRM (BTW GRRM is no profound mind about any of these qualities). But the show came around to do safe, shocking deaths and radical plot departures simply for the subversion of expectations with no rationale or meaning besides. All of which, a long time ago, had infuriated me, but now ive radically lowered my expectations and come back for the memes and schlock, lol... So it’s endlessly hilarious to see the casual audience and media be completely assblasted over this episode. Actually i was losing it during the last episode simply because i knew how most people would be reacting to it.

Anyway, i am looking forward to the hilarious conclusion next week.

so first of all i dont go there anymore so the lore details might be fumbled a bit but also like the actual fucking disrespect to otto and WHY kallens death had such a massive fucking impact on him when u act like the situation there is anywhere NEAR comparable to the TB and firefly situation in 2.0 💀 "oh its just a meme" well its a BAD one im sorry

like YES otto has or at least had some degree of romantic feelings towards kallen but that was FAR from all she represented to him??? like the entire point is that in ottos eyes over time as he grew more and more cynical ruthless and jaded kallen slowly became less of just. a human being. and started turning into the actual and ONLY personification of all good that is even worth fighting for anymore when it comes to humanity itself.

kallen to otto was the literal representative of hope and humanitys goodness. and yes that degree of idolatry is fundamentally dehumanizing towards her too and disregards her personhood but thats WHY its so fucking interesting. kallen was just a human being doing her best to fight for the people and do good yet ottos perception of her grew into one stained by obsession and defined thru blind worship because NO ONE ELSE but her could convince him there was jack shit to the world worth fighting for

THATS where his obsession comes from. THATS why otto went to the ends of the earth and beyond to resurrect her all the while knowing shed feel nothing but utter horror at witnessing how far he fell just for her. bc kallen has NEVER seen herself the way otto did. kallen wouldve NEVER wanted ANYONE to go through the lengths that otto did (KNOWINGLY in violation of her wishes) for her. because she knew better. but thats not how otto was.

in ottos eyes humanity became fundamentally irredeemable when kallen was first vilifed and sentenced to death and then died sacrificing herself for the very same people who were going to execute her anyway. humanity proved itself worthless by failing kallen. THATS his breaking point thats driving his actions the entire time after kallens death and why hes willing to commit all and any sins imaginable to save kallen. because in his mind for a very long time kallen hasnt been just a woman he loved as a friend and as an unrequited crush whose death crushed him just bc omg death grief sad uwu. otto ALREADY had a completely warped perception of the world when kallen was still alive but through her death it all just escalated and turned him into the actually insane madman maniac we know him as. and because humanity already proved itself a failure by betraying kallen as the actual messiah-figure she grew into in his head there was no price too high to force the rest of the world to pay on his way to saving kallen.

so.

is that what fucking firefly represents to TB to these ppl????? the irreversible shattering of the worldview of someone already teetering at the edge of a point of no return??? is "omg crush died sad 😢" how fucking shallow do ppl think ottos core motivation is??? holy shit
