Tag Game for Historical Simblrs! 📖
1. What has been your favorite time period to play in or which one are you most excited for?
I’m doing a (very) slow, modified version of History Challenge, and since it’s so slow, I’m still in Early Civilization and I love it. But I loved Stone Age too! (and I’m sure I will love the next era as well).
2. Do you have a favorite piece of historical cc? (CAS or BB)
There are a lot to choose from, but at the moment I think it’s the lovely Aegean set from @clepysdra.
3. Who is your favorite sim currently?
It’s Noor. No wait! It’s Eira! Or maybe Noor after all. Or maybe both? The truth is that I love them all. That’s why I enjoy to play rotational. But I love Eira and Noor a lot! 💕
4. What is your favorite world?
I like most of the words in The Sims 4, but I would love it a lot more if it didn’t have all that modern stuff! I’m so grateful for The timeless mod by @pandorasimbox and I’m waiting impatiently for more overrides from @simverses. Modders make me sane!
5. Are you more gameplay or story focused?
I have a draft for my story, but it’s not written in stone. So things might happen in game that make me re-write the draft! 😁
6. Do you like to play with pets in your historical saves?
I love the pets, BUT, they are such a pain in the what-ever to control, so I usually keep them out of my main family. And historically ordinary people didn’t have pets like we do now anyway. They were working animals with a purpose, and usually kept outside. They definitely didn’t sleep in the bed! Unless you were very rich and had a lap dog just to warm those sheets...
7. What’s your biggest immersion breaking pet peeve with the game?
Apart from game bugs and app problems 😡 it’s the insane amount of time I’m using to control NPCs and Townies. I have several mods that helps, but I still spend (too much) time with them. And then there are the modern background stuff, buildings, bridges, boats, trams or whatever. Hey TwistedMexi we will be dying for that CAW-thing when it’s finished!
8. What’s your favorite in-game historical item? (CAS or BB)
“In-game historical item”? Is there such a thing? Well to be fair, the Jungle pack has some build elements, as do the Outdoor pack. I also use some timeless CAS-items, and I appreciate the meshes, so I can recolor them. (If I knew how to use Blender I would go bananananas!) Apart from that I consider the game to have a 100% modern style. Even the “historical” clothes are best for use at costume parties in a modern save.
9. What would you like to see as a new pack or asset to the game?
HORSES!! Dear Sims God, please please please let us have horses. 🙏
10. What pack do you think is invaluable as a historical simmer?
I really couldn’t say, I mean you come a long way with mods. I could name a few that is totally dispensable though! Even so, I have them all, so...
11. Do you have a favorite mod to enhance historical gameplay?
If MCCC and TwistedMexis mods are not updated I would rather not play at all, but for historcal gameplay I would say Fashion Authority by Lot51, and the earlier mentioned Timeless mod.
12. What’s your ideal family size for playing?
I like big families and I wish we could have more than 8 sims, which really isn’t that much when you think what families looked like historically. (16 children? - Bring it on!) I know you can fix that with MCCC, but if you are like me, going in and out of CAS all the time, it is too much of a hassle.
13. Do you use poses?
Yes. Not as much as you might think, because I try to use the animations and expressions in game a lot of the time. But for bigger “events” you can’t tell the story without poses IMO.
14. Do you use any overrides in your game?
Absolutely! I try to limit them, but this modern stuff is too annoying sometimes.
15. Do you, or did you, play off-the-grid during your game?
I have done it, but after a while the charm faded and I found it just annoying. So I cheat. I have fridges looking like jars and TV’s looking like a coffee-sets. My excuse is that I believe people appreciated some things more than today. Like having a good cup of coffee, it would totally fill your fun-bar, right?
16. What lifespan do you play on?
Looooong! And I still turn aging completely off sometimes, so that my sims don’t grow up or dies before I can take the necessary pictures. 😌
17. What inspired you to start playing a historically?
I think it started with Sims 2 and the introduction of genetics. In a totally self-centered manner, I made my great grandparents, to see what would happen. Would there eventually be a me? It was so much fun, and I’ve had a love for historical gameplay ever since.
I was not really tagged by anyone, but I saw my friend @taanoir do it, and it looked fun!
I will not tag anyone either, but whoever feels like answering a whole long list of questions are very welcome to do so! I would love to read them!  💖

OKAY SO LITTLE UPDATE AND SCATTERED THOUGHTS ON THE NEW EP
Tumblr media
It turns out that removing 95% of your mods will improve the game's overall ability to run. Not shocking, but it's definitely a thing lol. I've also learned that some mods, while amazing conceptually, will probably not be added back into my game. This isn't on the modders: some mods are just so complex that I honestly can't keep up with them and therefore can't enjoy their features to the full extent. I do miss my custom recipes, wonderful whims, and a few lumpinou mods though (but that's really it so far).
I also removed all my custom sliders because I have no idea what is broken and what isn't at this point. Shocked to say I don't miss most of them, so I think it might be time I clean that folder out. I did, however, miss my presets!!! Especially body and mouth presets! Likely gonna tidy up those folders and then add those back in.
Kijiko eyelash remover seems to be working perfectly fine in my game, so if you use that one you are probably good to go.
The new pack's CAS items are good! I don't think I'm going to use a lot of it outside of sims in Tomarang, but that's okay. As of right now I am not planning to do an in-depth review of the CAS items because I pretty much just feel "fine" about all of it across the board: I don't hate anything but I'm not absolutely in love with anything either. Idk if I'm just feeling this way or if others are as well, but it seems like a lot of the items (especially the hairs) aren't really new and they're just modifications of things we already have... but that could be just me. I will say the cute dress with the slit up the side... chef's kiss. Needed more swatches though!
One unexpected item that I did love was the tea kettle!! I'm never buying a tea magic brewer or tea pot ever again. I never realized how badly I needed the ability to only make one cup of a tea/hot chocolate/coffee at time but it has been a game changer. I don't have much to say about the build/buy... it's all really nice. 🤷‍♀️ Wish there were more items that really stood out, but for the most part it's all just good, simple pieces with a few beautiful wall hangings (nice posters, a few good plants, love the baskets, standing toilet is a nice addition, adore the plastic garden chairs, etc.). Functional radiators, water tanks, etc. were fantastic additions with this pack and I would have been happy if they were just decor tbh (and was expecting them to be) but the fact that they aren't makes me very happy. Compatibility across packs is done far too rarely, so I'll let the sims team have this one crumb of a win.
I'm still testing this pack out so gameplay features are being dicovered bit by bit. Haven't ran into some of the big bugs people have been having, but I'm still early in the save and playing as a tenant (I stand by the fact that I have 0 interest being a property owner). The tester sim I made (Riley, she/they) vibed so hard with Vanesha Cahyaputri. Like the two of them have "amazing compatibility" and had full bar friendship almost instantly and I did not make Riley with any partner in mind... I didn't even know Vanesha was a canon lesbian! But they haven't had a single negative interaction soooo brb I'm on my way to make her over ASAP because I loooooovee a good sapphic friends to lovers arc. 😂
Lastly: I have some asks in my inbox. I swear I'm not ignoring you if you've messaged me, it's just been a chaotic few days as December is always so busy. I will answer them as soon as I can! Until the holidays are over I'll probably be posting sporadically! I'm still going to be here, but I'm enjoying just playing the game without any pressure to post about it.
Also, with updates breaking cc and sliders like crazy, it's unlikely I'll be sharing any sims outside of sim requests for a while. I'll still crank out builds, happily chat about my OCs, and reblog other people's content on here. For now I plan to just enjoy my time with my family and play the game stress free! ❤
Okay bye now!

Sorry to bring this up, but I've been using your Digitigrade Werewolves mod today and I love it, however I wanted to mention that if you put any upper clothing on a feminine frame wolf, the feet detach. Apologies if you already knew that, but I could put tops on my male wolves no problem, yet it'd glitch for her. The Sim was a teen if that affects anything. I also wanted to ask if you'd ever do a non-override version of the mod/make it so that doesn't apply to townies? Only bc the NPCs inevitably wear lower clothing in wolf form and then their feet also detach;; Totally understand if that's not something you plan on! Also, thank you for all the effort you've put into this mod, and I apologise if this wasn't the place to send any of this!
Hey anon, sorry you're having issues. Unfortunately I can't replicate the clothing problem; all upper body clothing works fine for me on all frames/ages so it doesn't seem to be a problem with the legs themselves. Your best bet would probably be to check for mod conflicts, and make sure the problem clothing is actually upper body clothing because there are several feminine full-body items that look a lot like they should be tops, but will still affect the leg mesh. If you're using cc, it could also be that a creator mis-categorized something.
For the second request, probably not, sorry. Werewolves are really obnoxious to do stuff like that for because they don't have a shoe slot where the paws could easily go, skin details, tattoos, scars, or any other genetics slot that persists outside of outfits without the use of other mods. I may try to make something similar once I've made the less sfw version I'm working on (since there's no way to have varied anatomy otherwise) but that would still probably be designed with the assumption that someone already has the universal digitigrade legs installed.
I wish I had a solution for the clothing thing, but so far I haven't found a better option than just altering npc outfits manually, which I know is a pain (though the randomly generated ones will be naked in wolf form by default, and they'll stay that way as long as you unlink the forms before you edit them). Sorry I can't be more help, but I hope you find a solution to the female clothing problem.

The story concurs in the 16th century. Helena, only 16 years old, has lost both parents and must start a new life away from home.
MODS AND CC CREATORS I LOVE
                                          Characters below !
(I will add  more characters as they come to the story)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Helena is a creative, romantic and art lover sim. She loves gardening, cooking, singing, dancing and mostly painting. She is very sweet, although she has a strong character when someone is disrespectful to her. Although she is ambitious, there is nothing she loves more than the company of her father and her animals.
Tumblr media
Bret is an active, romantic and animal enthusiast sim. He loves spending time with his wife and children, gardening and taking care of his farm animals. Even as a peasant, he taught his daughter with the help of his wife to write and read, and he has extensive knowledge in medicine because of the illness that killed his wife, as they had to take care of her.
Tumblr media
Father Jacob is devoted to God and takes care of all the peasants in the area where Helena and Bret live. He is charismatic, extremely polite and has a big heart. He has always had a special relationship with Helena as her talent in writing and painting brought her closer to him.
Tumblr media
King Roman II is known to most as a benevolent and wise king, although legends of his bloody conquests have always been heard. He met Bret Shelby as a young man and the two became very close. While there is goodness in the king's heart, there is also a dangerous ambition hidden within. The Queen gave birth to two children but only one son and possible heir to the throne, the king’s relationship with both is almost non-existent. He apparently approaches Helena with the intention of fulfilling his last wish for his old friend Bret.
Tumblr media
Magnus has been the royal advisor since he was fifteen. Like Bret, his origins are humble, but Magnus decided to accept the offer to serve his king at court, and Bret followed the path his parents had given him. He is an intelligent, reserved and ambitious man. But he would never let his ambition override his moral and religious values.
Tumblr media
Edison and Chance have known each other for as long as they can remember. Their mothers both lost their husbands and they share a cottage in the village. Edison (right) is always running around finding out what gambling is going on in the village. He likes to play pranks left and right and has been banned from the village bar twice for mixing beer with cow piss. Chance (left) is even worse. He loves to play chess and always makes sure he doesn't lose, whether he cheats or not. But maybe Helena will manage to beat him. Chance has a great passion for the mysteries that the nobles hide and longs to live in the palace sometime so that he can continue mixing beer with cow piss with his friend Edison.
Tumblr media
Angel and his parents came from Spain when he was only ten years old. With a merchant father and a peasant mother, he has always lived in the village, until one of the prince and heir's guards discovered him playing his lyre in the middle of the street. Since then he has lived in the royal palace, always composing new melodies so that the king will not tire of him and return him to his old life. Angel is charismatic, flirtatious and ambitious. Most of his lyrics are about love, although he has never been in a committed relationship. He is brave but has many fears, including the darkness of the palace at nightfall.
Tumblr media
The son of aristocratic parents, Rhett was raised from a young age to protect the crown prince. His friendship with the royal family has always been remarkable, and he has always considered himself almost like a brother to the future king. He is brave and determined, and can be a bit unpleasant and rude to those who don't know him. He has always lived a life of wealth, though that has not stopped him from helping the needy families of Windenburg, handing out gold coins once a week with the help of his friend the prince. He has never devoted time to his social or romantic life outside of work, which is why he finds it so difficult to relate to other aristocrats, as they are too fine for his attitude.
Tumblr media
Elizabeth is the only female child and second heir to the throne after her older brother. From a young age, she has been sent to various schools to learn languages, music and painting. Her father betrothed her to the son of the King of Henford two years ago and since then she has caused nothing but trouble for everyone the King leaves in charge of her security. Her relationship with her family is complicated; although she loves her mother and brother, she has never considered them close enough to speak her thoughts to them. She loves to wield a sword and even more so knowing that her father dislikes her doing so.
Tumblr media
Jude is the first son of the King of Windenburg and future heir to the throne. Since he was a child he has been given everything, and the love that his father never gave him, he received from his mother. He grew up with Rhett, his personal guardian as soon as he was old enough. His relationship with his sister has always been very good, even if they don't get to meet as often as they would like. He has a good heart, but his bad temper and drinking problems sometimes make him hard to live with. Will he make a good future ruler, or a tyrant?
Tumblr media
Karlie is the Queen Consort of Windenburg. The daughter of a noble family, she met the King at a party in his palace in Tartosa, when he had not yet been crowned as his father was still alive. Karlie knows everything her husband has been doing in secret, for she is observant, patient and extremely cautious. She never wished to be queen, nor did she fall in love with the king, but her parents forced her into a life that, but for the love of her two sons, would only be a life of misfortune.

Take a Break
Considering the post that’s going around today, I’d like to share a little about myself to illustrate this advice: create margin in your life. I don’t like breaks. I’m terrible at taking them. I carryover a good chunk of my PTO every year. I have serious FOMO (fear of missing out). I like getting things done at the moment I’m thinking about them and not a moment after. Sometimes I wish we didn’t need food because stopping what I’m doing to eat is so freakin’ annoying! And sleep? Why do we need so much? I swear, sometimes I think I want to be more like a sentient droid than human lol. Like many women, I tend to think I am Superwoman, and I can do everything I want and take care of myself later. That couldn’t be farther from the truth.
I went back to school in 2010. I had very specific plans for my new degree and did not want to spend the next 5-7 years in school, taking a class or two per term. I had an excellent relationship with my boss, and he agreed to cutting down my schedule to 30 hours so I could still be full time and get my benefits. Most semesters I took 9 hours, which is just one class away from being a full-time student. It was a LOT. On top of living on 75% of my salary, I had little time for much else. I’m not a brainiac, and I need lots of study time. In my first college experience, I did the bare minimum as many of us did. I wanted this time to be different, especially because I was studying something in which I had a legit interest. So, I went to work, left early, went to school, came home, studied/worked on projects, went to bed, rinse, and repeat. I couldn’t afford to get burned out because then I would delay my plan.
What did I do? I created margin. If you don’t know what that means, just think about a piece of paper; I know we don’t use that much anymore lol. Paper usually has holes on the left and a pink line near the holes. The line is called a margin. It marks the place where you should begin writing. It’s a boundary. A line of demarkation that says you may not go past this point. I know myself. If I didn’t place the proper boundaries, I’d be sunk. I have kind of an obsessive personality. When I’m into something, it’s all I do. All I think about. Heh, with the proper interest, I could be really powerful lol. Mix that with the robot mentality and you have a recipe for disaster. I set aside one night a week and called it “no work night.” I was not allowed to do my schoolwork on this night unless I absolutely had to. I did this my entire time at school, and it worked very well. True, it was a very small margin, but I never burned out. As a matter of fact, this worked so well I continued this behavior after graduation and adopted it as a personal policy. I continue it to this day—although I often violate it lol.
My stories are important to me. I am obsessed with them and spend a great deal of time in the game, writing, working on my PS skills, etc. Even though it’s fun, it’s work. There was a time in my sims story life where I got burned out pretty seriously. “You can’t have too much of a good thing” is a completely false statement and leads to trouble. “Everything is good in moderation” is a better statement and the one we should live by in this community.
I’ve said all of this to encourage you to develop your own boundaries whether it’s a “no work night” or something else. We need it! We’re all human and have needs our favorite online communities can never fill. And, when you take breaks, don’t be sorry about it! What I’m about to say may seem indelicate, but please go with it. You are NOT that important, in the grand scheme of things! We love your content, and we’ll miss it while you’re gone. But no one is going to die because you were missing. You will not cause the collapse of this community. Everything will be fine while you’re gone, and when you return things will be even better. Stop being sorry for taking care of yourself, having a life outside of this community, and being human. There’s no need for it! As I said previously, even though we love to consume content and crave it constantly (heck, even demand it), we (as creators) are not here to serve you. No one owes anyone anything around here. We post our stories, cc, mods, videos, look books, whatever because we want to share it with you. And yes, it is VERY tempting to feel a level of obligation to our followers and make sure there they’re not left wanting. But that appetite will always be there because we (as consumers) greedy little rascals who will never be satisfied. 😃 So, take your time. Do what you need to do. Don’t worry about us. You should come first. Because if you don’t take care of you, who will? And ummmmmmm, if you don’t take care of you, who’s gonna finish your story cuz we’re still going to need that pronto. 😜

An update in the ongoing Sims 2 Troubleshooting Drama, partially complaint, partially asking for ideas, partially just to prove I am still working on it.
The backstory is that last week, I was installing new CC in every moment I could, working on my Megakingdom, and slowly started experiencing regular inconsistent crashes. On Saturday, I discovered an attempt to load the Cordial home to remodel it made the game crash. That killed all my Megakingdom plans for the weekend. I spent Saturday concerned that my computer had randomly decided to stop cooperating with The Sims 2 after a minor update; it did that before a couple years ago. So Saturday was spent struggling in vain in an attempt to upgrade my game’s cooperation. I don’t think it hurt anything, but it emphatically did not fix the problem. On Sunday, I tested generating a completely blank Sims 2 documents folder, and it appeared to work fine, thus verifying that it was actually more of a CC problem. And I realized that, no, 25 GB of CC is way too much. I never felt like I had that much because there were always gaps, and I was deleting unthemed stuff anyway and... but no, 25 GB is just too damn much.
So Monday, a day I had off for a three day weekend, I spent the day compressorizing, clearing out any excess CC I could find, and doing everything I could to try to make it functional again. I got the main downloads folder to a little under 19 GB, plus about 3-4 GB of Objects Recolors and Floors and Walls outside of that, and it now works well enough that I can safely comb through CAS for anything removable, load up an empty test lot to go through build mode stuff, and even load at least one premade lot safely (the Smith household, in a test Strangetown). But the Specter household, which was an early one I tried loading, crashes every time. Now, tonight, with my game in a shape where it almost seems playable, I tested -adding a fresh shopping district Strangetown to a new testing hood and seeing if the Specter lot still crashed, which it did, and -removing my entire collection of mods and defaults to see if that made any difference, which it did not. That says to me that I did NOT somehow damage the crashing lots, and they are crashing because the problem is still present. I am guessing/hoping either “still too much CC” or “one hidden default replacement is fucking things up”, but I really don’t have anything recently installed that isn’t in one of the folders I tested. I’m trying to remove a few individual possible problem files with DDO before bed so I can test again tomorrow, but I added a lot of CC over the past few weeks, and it’s been a while since I was last able to load the Cordial home. I’m scared to test it until I figure out the test Specter home, although fingers crossed that if worse comes to worse I can move them out and build them an entirely new house. I don’t know what CC could possibly be affecting both the Specter house and the Cordial house, though. Unless there’s an issue with the CEP, somehow?
Anyway, troubleshooting will be ongoing, and I am not going to touch the Megakingdom until I am confident I have the problem solved, lest I break it. Which is a shame, because right before this started I had some fun ideas about how best to incorporate Townie Bella (...if she exists, I am not sure the precise level of empty my templates were when I installed) and Kaylynn Langerak. (...Bella was stolen by faeries, obviously. She cannot return to the hood until somebody befriends her and invites her to move in, and her unnatural youth and memory loss is the result of her time away. Kaylynn, meanwhile, I am thinking will have to be the live-in Royal servant.)
Anyway wish me luck, and any advice anyone has would be great.

The Sims 4 Moschino Stuff - Early Access Build/Buy Review
Huge thank you to the EA Game Changer Program for providing me with the opportunity to play Moschino Stuff early!
Ever since I saw the trailer for Moschino Stuff, I knew the Build/Buy content was going to be the part of this pack that I was the most excited for and interested in and for the most part I absolutely love a lot of it. But, like CAS, Build/Buy is not without it’s issues.
As always, if you have any questions about the pack, feel free to send me an ask!
See a preview of all the new Build/Buy items here
👗The Buy
I pretty much love all of the Buy Mode objects. The couches come in some very cool patterns as well as solids, the funky pop art mirror is fun, and I love that the end table is much lower than most end tables we have so it sits nice and flush at the same height as the couches and coffee table.
But my favourite things are probably, as always, the decorative stuff. More specifically the LiBEARian (the books with the bear book ends, get it!), the Simsational Style Stack (the magazine pile) and the Amp Stack (they’re all in the pics above). Even though the Amp Stack is purely decorative, it looks very cool sitting next to a guitar and adds a lot of character to any musician’s house!
I also really like the Repurposed Gear Chest (the trunk with stickers on it) that’s essentially a coffee table and looks very cool and retro, and the Tastefully Empty Bookcase which... is not empty at all? lol I do wish the bookcase came in different heights and widths as well, but at least this time it’s a short one, unlike the bookcases that came with Seasons and StrangerVille that I love but never get to use because they’re too tall for short walls.
Something that’s bothered me pretty much since base game released is that there’s no consistent colour palette for all build/buy objects. I get that each pack has specific themes and there might be colours that fit that theme better than others but I would love to see a consistent palette used throughout every pack — say like black and white obviously, 5 different wood tones, 5 solid neutrals and 5 solid “standard” colours (blue, red, yellow etc) — and have every single item that gets added to the game made in those colours, then if a new pack has specific colours for it’s theme they can be added on top of the standard palette. I like the colour palette that was chosen for the items in this pack but I found it really hard to find anything from other packs that matched it. It bothers me so much that nothing ever matches from pack to pack, half the time objects in the same pack don’t even match! And even now that the 350 new swatches were added to base game doors... they still don’t match anything else!
Sorry, I know I’m ranting and this has very little to do with Moschino Stuff but it just really bothers me that nothing ever matches because whenever I build I spend hours trying to find a floor to match the trim around the bottom of the wall I’ve chosen, then none of the doors match the floor and trim so I have to change it all, then none of the windows match the doors, floor and trim, and on and on until I’ve completely forgotten what I originally wanted the build to look like!
I really like the new frames we got for photos too, and the fact that they can now be placed on tables BUT I’ve had a couple of issues with them. First of all, it’s not possible to turn the frames placed on tables using the alt key, so you can only turn them in 45 degree increments and I hate that. I like to have all my photo frames slightly askew at different angles and it bothers me that these ones can only be places either facing straight forwards or angled by 45 degrees.
The second issue I have with the frames is actually more of a technical one but I’m not entirely sure if it’s the frames themselves, the photos, or the photography skill; I haven’t been able to work that out yet. When I have a sim take photos using the new tripod and camera everything is fine, but the second I exit out of the photography UI my FPS drops drastically.
I thought it was just my computer being stupid at first, until other Game Changers started reporting the same issue. I suspect it might be the photos and frames — specifically the new collage frame — because as soon as I remove the frames from the lot, the FPS goes back to normal. My game normally runs at a steady 60 FPS at all times but as you can see here, it drops down to 8-12 whenever there are framed photos on the lot and shoots back up when I delete them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
NOTE: This was with my game 100% CC and Mod free.
All of the new photography gear is so cool too! The fact that most of the items (like the tripod, camera, and tape markers) can be picked up in your sims inventory is so handy; your sim can just grab their equipment and head out into the world to take photos of other sims, landscapes, pets, and themselves literally anywhere they can plop the tripod down! And the backdrops have some really cool backgrounds for you to take photos in front of... or maybe... some other... uses 😈
Tumblr media
👗The Build
I think the thing most people were looking forward to in this pack were the beautiful windows and doors; I’m definitely one of those people lol They are definitely gorgeous but as seems to happen every single time we get new windows and doors, the selection is limit in many different ways.
Every single colourway for both the windows and the doors is either white, black, red, or some combination of those colours. There are no colourways that match any of the other colours used on the furniture for the set (like blue, pink and yellow) and absolutely zero wood or neutral tones.
There are also no other heights for both the door and window other than for the shortest wall height, which absolutely baffles me because they’re clearly a set made to be used in lofts and converted warehouse type builds... builds that are generally made with either the medium or tallest wall height. They also didn’t bother to make single tile versions of any of the windows and doors, or even a closed version for the smaller window!
But what’s even more baffling (at least to me) is the way the door was made. I literally spent a full 30 minutes just sitting here in front of my computer, staring at this door, trying to figure out what could possibly have been going through the head of whoever made it when they decided that not only would it be shorter on one side, therefore also shorter than the windows, but also that it wouldn’t take up the full two tiles it was allocated and therefore wouldn’t sit flush up against the windows it was made to go with!

I saw a tweet by one of the Gurus that basically said “It’s the right height on the outside, just flip it around” but... that still leaves you with one side shorter than the windows, it’s just now on the other side, and there’s still gaps at the side! Why you would go to all the trouble to make the windows fit beautifully together like that and then not make the door exactly the same height and width! It bothers me way more than it probably should but I just don’t understand!
On the plus side, there are some base game doors that fit in with the windows (kind of) that I will probably use instead of the Moschino door... at least until someone makes a build add-on for them anyway lol

👗The Verdict
Overall, while I have issues with some of the build/buy stuff, this is where this pack makes up for the lack of CAS stuff in my opinion and what would make me want to fork over the $10 for the pack. To be completely honest, I’d pay $10 just for the LiBEARian though 🤣
All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are my own. I am not paid by EA to “hype” their games; I am given the opportunity to review their games early in exchange for an honest review.

Simmer- Get To Know
Tagged by the lovely: @ohsosims ❤️
Languages you speak: English & some Spanish
Are you a mermaid: Ummm no, what would make you think that?!
Your Playstyle: 42% Gameplay, 10% screenshots, 35% build mode, 6% in CAS, 7% trying to storytell but fail.
Your Simself Picture:
Tumblr media
Stories or Gameplay, builds, lookbooks, edits or cc: I mainly just post edits of my Sims or some gameplay. I would LOVE to make storytelling posts (with subtitles and all of that) but I don’t know where to start & if anyone really would want to read that. Like there is story in all my Sims but I just don’t know if y’all would want to read that. But these challenges have been really fun to do! I wanna do more lookbooks though! Custom Content I’m still trying to work with but I’m struggling a little bit but soon I’ll have some for y’all!:)
Your favorite age state: I honestly enjoy them all but I wish I could do more for elders! I can’t wait for knitting!
Your favorite season: Autumn
Your favorite holiday: So in my game I have a holiday called “Summer Farewell” it happens on the last day of Summer & the day consist of chill vibes. Drinking, playing outside, swimming, bbq, fireworks, hanging with friends & family & chilling around a bonfire. It’s super chill & I honestly look forward to it. Maybe I should post more about it soon!
How was your day: It was okay. Work sucked ass. Being understaffed all the time & working with a fake ass coworker is so draining. But it got better when I got home because I played some Skyrim. Then went out to eat with my mom at Five Guys then bought myself a memorory foam bed topper from Bed Bath & Beyond. So I slept amazing last night. Now it’s Saturday & I plan on not leaving the house!
Your favorite career: Ummm that’s kinda hard because I always choose freelance careers in game because I love how your sim can stay home & just work. But it gets a little monotonous at times. I also love the teacher & administrative careers that came with Discover University!
Your favorite aspiration: I love the geeky ones, like collecting stuff & I love the family aspirations!
Your favorite EP, SP or GP: this is so hard ugh. For favorite EP it’s either Discover University or Get Together. Favorite GP is Parenthood but also Strangerville because it’s actually pretty great! Favorite SP is extremely tied between Tiny Living & Moschino for the build & buy items!
How old is your Simblr: it will be hitting one year old soon! I’ve always wanted to make one but never did. But I finally just made one. I used to blog about my sims on Amino but that community was toxic and their ways were extremely toxic & stupid. So it pushed me to make a Simblr & I loved it ever since. You can go on Amino actually and still see my posts. STORYTELLING POSTS!
Have you woohooed: Ummmmmmmmmmmm not on my conservative Christian blog😚💅🏼
Your favorite skill: Gardening
The size of your mods folder: Not that bad actually, just 15 GB!
Your 3 favorite mods: Wicked Whims, McCommand Center & Andrews Pose Player
Your interests (other than the sims): I love to play video games, I’m a huge gamer. I also love to travel. Even if it’s to a small town in the middle of nowhere, I just love to see new places. I live in Texas so any chance I get to travel around, I’m always excited for it. I also love to write stories & songs. Then last I love to cook, so I’m always watching Food Network to see what ideas I can get to create in the kitchen.
Your favorite Sim (picture if possible): that is so hard because all of my sims that I post on here are my babies. So I can’t just pick one. But my favorites would have to be between Kade, Zephan & Tobias.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Which Sims games have you played (including mobile games): The Sims, The Sims 2, The Sims 2 on GameCube & the Strangetown one for PSP. Urbz on PS2 & on Gameboy. The Sims 2 Castaway. The Sims 3 on PC & PS3. SimCity 3,4,5(ew). I have never touched the mobile games & I never got to play TS3 Medeival :(
Propose a crazy scheme: Omg I know this is crazy but wouldn’t it be amazing if our Sims could own multiple homes, basically house flip & rent them out to other sims. Get that money, or let their children that are trying to move out, live in those homes. Or how crazy would it be if the roommate system wasn’t just from Discover University but was BASEGAME. DEAR LORD.
Best part of Simblr: Seeing the crazy talent & passion that simmers pour into this game. Seeing them tell awesome stories & sharing their amazing CC! Also seeing people form friendships over this game is pretty magical.
Worst part of Simblr: Seeing blog who put so much effort & work into their posts & blogs and seeing no one appreciate it. Also the bitches behind anon leaving hateful messages.
What other games you play: Stardew Valley, Skyrim, The Elder Scrolls Online, Minecraft, Pokemon, The Legend of Zelda, Cities Skylines, RDR2 & a lot more.
For the fun: Stardew Valley
For the thrills or for the need to kill assholes: RDR2 & Skyrim maybe some GTA5.
Are you single: VERY VERY lol
I tag: @himbosims @katmk36 @gremlinsims @geeky-simz @thatonebrobo @invisisim @kalissimsblog @quinnterestingsims @nougat-sims & at anyone else who wants to participate!❤️ if I missed you I’m sorry but please participate!

hi i hope you’re doing well
Hi! Well, thank you! I’m not gonna say these are *tips* because I’m not a great builder, but this is what I try to keep in mind when making houses:
- Smaller is better, always. I usually stick with 20x20 lots and more than that already seems excessive to me. Yet, I like to *play* the game. It’s important to me to be able to move sims and the camera around, so I try to stay away from 10xsomethings lots.
- You don’t need a lot of outdoor space, not every house is a farm or something. You also don’t need every single skilling item in your houses. Build community lots instead. Well, and download community skilling mods too, I guess. :D But I’d rather take my sims to the park to play chess than *having* to make space for a chess table in the house. Sometimes you just won’t have room for it, and that’s ok.
- Plan a space for the essentials inside the house and that’s it. Dead, empty space is just ugly and difficult for me to decorate, they serve no purpose and look bad in pictures. So I try to always compartmentalize things in a house in a way that I know every little nook and cranny will be used. The only place where I now I “splurge” and go slightly bigger is the bathroom because 2x3s cause too much trouble with multiple sims.
- Even if you don’t take screenshots while you play, try to think of each space as a photo, frame it as such. “If I were to take a picture of my sim standing right here, what could I add to the environment that would make for an interesting composition?” This works for me with landscaping and decorating.
- Terrain paint. This is something I really, really struggle with, but your landscaping will never look amazing until you start using different terrains. Wish I could help more with this one but not my forte either.
- The house will probably always look better on a foundation, even if I don’t always follow this one.
- For doors and windows: asymmetrical inside, symmetrical outside. It just looks better to me. Also: huge, empty walls look so bad from neighborhood view. I try to always have a little window and some ivy or plants underneath them.
- No auto-roof and try to keep the flat roofing to a minimum. Play with the tool; I know some things look counter intuitive when you’re doing roofs, like maybe it looks like the tool wouldn’t allow you to do certain things? But I promise it’s way more lenient than you think, like how you can drag a roof through walls or how it doesn’t *have* to sit all four corners on top of a wall, sometimes you can have it “hanging” or mix up some columns or fences in there. Etc.
- Use the height adjuster! Man, you can have the most boring, simple roof ever but if you make it slightly shorter it will already look ten times better. Try to break it in two or more different sections too. The bigger you go in size, the worse one section of roof on top a huge box will look.
- I ’m really super bad at landscaping, so the only thing that comes to mind is downloading those 4t2 flowers or meshes that look similar to them. The game kind of limits what you can do with all those flowerbeds, it’s hard to make it look more natural and overgrown, so just do what I do and download a bunch of CC and throw them on your front lawn and say TAH DAAAAH.
That’s it. You should probably ask someone else too though. :D

8 Awesome and Fun Challenges to Play in 2019 in the Sims 4!
Sims players have been creating fan-made challenges for the games pretty much since the series began in 2001. Challenges are a fun way to mix up normal game play; instead of just creating a Sim and living out a normal life, you can play by a set of rules and objectives to try to reach a particular outcome.
Some challenges are more difficult than others, but all are a creative and an interesting way to introduce a more linear game play style to The Sims' sandbox game play.
Players have been coming up with different challenges for The Sims 4 since the day it was introduced. Here are some of the most fun and interesting challenges for the Sims 4; try them if you're bored with the game and looking to mix things up!
1. The Legacy Challenge The Legacy Challenge is one of the oldest, most classic of Sims challenges. Players have been doing it for years, probably since the days of the Sims 1. The basic rules are pretty simple:
Create a Sim of your choice, and move them onto the biggest empty lot, but they must start in poverty (only $10,000 simoleons, excluding the cost of the lot). The "founder" has to build their house and wealth, and then procreate to make a second generation. You play on in the single family for 10 generations. There are various challenges throughout each generation and different flavours you can add to the challenge to make it more exciting or challenging. The legacy challenge is pretty fun for a few reasons: you get to play through one bloodline for so many generations, it's got a rags-to-riches story to it, and you can really see the growth of your Sims' home, family, etc.
Check out this website dedicated to the Sims Legacy Challenge (with rules for the Sims 4, 3 and even Sims 2!) here.
2. History Challenge This is quite a popular challenge for The Sims 4. Created by user Cloudseeker on The Sims 4 forums, this challenge is designed to start in the "prehistoric" age, and takes you and your Sims throughout various time periods, ending in the Modern era.
Create two Sims (your Ancestors) and place them in an empty world (delete all lots and all Sims, or download an empty world- see link for the challenge below for more details). They will start off as your prehistoric Sims. Prehistoric era Sims can't join any jobs, but can sell collectables, paintings or woodwork. Sims can't have a "house"; they must live in a tent or on the land and can only eat food that they've caught or grown (fish, insects, fruit). Complete the goals in the Prehistoric era to move on ("Reach level 10 Fishing, Gardening and Handiness skill on the same Sim" is one of the 5 goals in this stage). Move on to Early Civilisation, where your Sims can now build a house in the Roman Empire or Ancient Egyptian style! Progress through each era- Prehistoric, Early Civ, Middle Ages, The Old West, The Industrial Age, The Roaring Twenties, and the Modern Day- by completing goals and unlocking new game mechanisms! I really love this challenge- it's an extremely unique spin on the traditional legacy challenge and the creator put a lot of thought into the eras, game play and goals. A lot of Simmers really got into this challenge too (the forum post has 45+ pages of replies on it alone!), and if you're into using CC in your game, there's a lot of themed content for each of the eras, so you can make the game even more authentic!
Check out the full challenge rules here and check out some of the amazing era-themed custom content (cheetah print loin cloths for the Prehistoric Age, anyone?), here!
3. Decades Challenge The Decades Challenge is a variation of The Legacy Challenge/The History Challenge. It's not identical to the History Challenge though, because instead of going through various eras, it's more focused on American lifestyle between 1890 to present time.
You start off in 1890. Sims can only marry within their own ethnicity, can only marry the opposite gender, can't use electricity (obviously), indoor plumbing, can only "try for baby" (no woo-hoo for fun!), and all furniture must be wooden, among other things. By 1900s, Sims can have electricity and indoor plumbing, but only men are allowed to get jobs outside the home. In 1910, male Sims must go to "war", which is just feeding the cowplant and rolling dice to see whether or not they survive! Women can finally go to work in the 1920s, but by the 1930s, anyone in a career must lose their job (the Great Depression). Each decade continues with various challenges and things to unlock until you reach the current decade! This is another one that gets major points for fun and creativity. There's challenging aspects and it stays pretty true to how life was in each of these time periods. This is another one that would benefit from downloading some themed custom content for your game (if nothing else, it's a nice excuse to give your Sims pretty Victorian dresses!).
Full challenge details are here! Historical Sims Life is a great blog which offers some custom content you can use for this challenge.
4. 100 Baby Challenge Let's change it up a bit, hey? Instead of a history-based challenge, we have this extremely fun and classic, 100 Baby Challenge! This is another that's been played through most iterations of the Sims.
Have 100 babies in as few generations as possible! Once you have a baby with a Sim, you cannot have a baby with that same Sim again (yes, promiscuity is encouraged in this challenge- have as many baby daddies as possible ;)) No cheats are allowed, but you can age up babies immediately. You must give birth to a girl to continue the legacy. The youngest girl born to the founder continues the legacy when the founder becomes an elder and can't give birth. If you don't have any girls, you lose! This is a fun and silly challenge that lots of people love playing. You can make it gender neutral if you like by using mods (so men can get pregnant), but either way, it's a fun challenge that'll get you and your Sims out and making woo-hoo with everyone they meet.
Full challenge rules here!
5. Black Widow Challenge The Black Widow challenge is another of somewhat scandalous nature; the main challenge is to marry male Sims, kill them, and inherit their money!
Start with a Young Adult female Sim. She must have the materialistic, snob and romantic traits and should have the Serial Romantic aspiration. She can move into a house but you're not allowed to use any cheats for money! She also is not allowed to work- all the money she has must be inherited from partners. Meet a Sim and get married to him. Have a dinner party to show off your new partner, and while you're there, find a potential romantic interest. Cheat on the husband with the new romantic interest, invite him over and get caught cheating. Find a way to kill off the husband (some suggestions are here) and then marry the new romantic interest! Keep all the tombstones on the lot- aim for 10 husbands to win! There's a few other rules and goals that go with the challenge, but that's the main gist of it. The Black Widow Challenge is one that's been around since The Sims 2 as well- can you seduce and kill all the Sims in your town? Check out the full details here!
6. Homeless Challenge The Homeless Challenge is one that I'd actually say is a bit hard! As we all know, part of playing The Sims is making sure our Sims are happy, but it's a lot harder to do that when you don't have the typical creature comforts. For this challenge, you must:
Make a single Sim- they can be male or female and have whichever traits you'd like. Buy and move them onto an empty lot. Using cheats, remove all their money. Your Sim can not have a job, but can obtain cash by collecting, fishing, gardening, rummaging through trash, begging other Sims for money, writing books, playing instruments, painting, or any other hobbies. In the beginning, they'll have to use public toilets and sleep on park benches until you reach the part of the challenge which allows them to start building a home. Of course, you'll need to have enough money to do that too! As you progress in the challenge, there are mini challenges (like the "building permit" mini challenge- you deduct $500 simoleons from your Sim's money and then they can start building on their lot) that'll allow you to progress The game "ends" when you have $5000 saved and have built a basic house! This is another of my personal favourites. The mini challenges are unique and fun, and it's definitely hard trying to take care of a Sim who doesn't have all the necessities at hand. There's great pride when you reach the end of the challenge and see how far your homeless Sim has come!
Check out all the full details here.
7. Asylum Challenge Time to get a bit crazy! Literally. The Sims 4 Asylum Challenge is all about managing Sims with the insane trait. Can you do it?
Make a household with 8 Sims (or find some in the Sims 4 Gallery!). All Sims must have the insane trait. You must randomize their other traits (but they cannot have the "Self-Assured" trait. Randomize their aspirations. You can pick one Sim to control throughout the challenge. The goal is to have your controlled Sim complete their aspiration (to prove they've gained control of their life) and they can then leave the asylum! No cheats are allowed, and to spice things up, you can make the house only have 5 beds, 6 seats, just one bathroom, and the cheapest electronics. This is a fun and difficult challenge; you really have to work hard to control your Sim despite their insane trait, and you also have to watch out for the other uncontrolled insane Sims in the house. I like this challenge as it's based on an in-game trait, rather than an external set of goals or objectives.
Full challenge details are here!
8. Apocalypse Challenge Sims fans have long wished for an official post-Apocalypse expansion pack (think The Sims + Fallout), but the closest we've ever gotten was Sims 3: Into the Future. The Apocalypse Challenge, however, lets you use your imagination and pretend that you're living in a post-war world!
The year is 2015, and all of Simtopia's been wiped out by an apparent nuclear war! Thankfully, your Sim has survived in their bomb shelter, and the goal is to survive there until they die of old age. Create a sim and a "shelter." The shelter is a single room which can only have the basic necessities: cheapest bed (the prison cots from Get to Work or the camping beds from Outdoor Retreat would be great), toilet, and kitchen appliances (stove, fridge, counter). Your Sim cannot leave the lot (the rest of the world is destroyed and there's the threat of nuclear fallout). If your Sims die of anything other than old age- you lose! I've seen a few variations of this challenge online, but all of them have to do with survivalist living and gives you some unique restrictions on typical game play.
Check out the full challenge details here!

Replies! :)
These go back a ways, but it doesn’t include every single reply I’ve received over the last....three weeks?...or so. I just don’t have that much time right now, but I want to do some replies. So, if you’re not included here, please don’t feel left out. I love receiving comments, and I appreciate it when people take the time to leave them. :) I’m going to do a couple replies, that have longer answers, separately, but these are the “shorter” ones. :)
Anyway, these are for @princesspiratecat, @twofingerswhiskey, @lilleputtu, @penig, @esotheria-sims, @tamtam-go92, @i-mi, @hugelunatic, and @immerso-sims.
princesspiratecat replied to your photoset “Fishin’ pond. It has too-blue water at the moment, but that’ll be...”
Why and how is that water so blue?
The “why” is because I finally installed Dreadpirate’s shader fixes to de-blue snow at night. :) For those to work, the terrain shader -- which includes on-lot water -- has to be modified, and the two water mods that Dread made to be compatible with the no-blue-snow shader fixes were Voeille’s and the blue version of Moi’s. The latter is what’s in the pic because that’s the shader I currently have installed. But, I prefer and usually use the green version of Moi’s, and I’m hoping that Dread will see her way to making a no-blue-snow-compatible shader that uses the green version, but if she doesn’t I’ll have to choose between that too-blue one or Voeille’s, and I’d probably go with the latter. Or maybe...
twofingerswhiskey replied to your photoset “Fishin’ pond. It has too-blue water at the moment, but that’ll be...”
I know that kativip included a water overlay for ponds in a lot of theirs - it's murky green like a real pond and semitransparent. If you're interested I'll yeet you the file
That’s a possibility! :) If you wouldn’t mind passing it along, it might be an option if Dread doesn’t make a green shader... Thank you!
penig replied to your photoset “It dawned on me that when I posted this terrain default I didn’t...”
Wow. As someone from limestone desert, however, I'm looking at the mountains and thinking: Where's the strata?
You know, when I was making that terrain, I tried several different kinds of textures for the high terrain. I knew I wanted something rocky because to me it looks odd when there are giant hills of green grass on more hilly/mountainous terrains.  And because I am a (near)desert dweller, I would’ve liked to have had stratified exposed rock. So I tried that.
But the problem is the tiling. Not making the images tileable; I can do that. The problem is how the texture tile gets “painted” on the landscape, which isn’t something that can be controlled. The more detailed the image is, the more you notice the pattern repeat when it’s painted on the terrain, and it starts looking really weird. Between that and the struggle to get things in-scale, I imagine this is why most terrain defaults aren’t too detailed.
esotheria-sims replied to your photo “We interrupt these posts to bring you….a pic of the neighborhood’s...”
Nah, I'd totally trust him and his fabulous mane with my food. Sims don't shed, so there's that. :D
There is that! :D And I wish I didn’t shed. I’ve got super-long hair, and I can’t even begin to describe the amount of time I spend unraveling my shed hair from around the vacuum cleaner’s brush. *laugh* I mean, I usually go outside to brush my hair just to reduce the amount of shed hair that hits the floor. :)
tamtam-go92 replied to your photo “We interrupt these posts to bring you….a pic of the neighborhood’s...”
Can cooks be interacted with? Also: my game ALWAYS generates cooks with some fancy skin colour xD
They can’t be interacted with when they’re working, no. But they do walk by community lots, as was the case here, and then you can greet them. Once they’ve been greeted, they’re on the greeting Sim’s relationship panel, and then they can be called and dated and all that, so long as you’ve got the phone fix that allows NPCs to appear on the “Call this Sim” menu. I married-in a cook once.
i-mi replied to your post “Hmmmmm…So my plan to make a concrete terrain default that’s really a...”
Yes, I think more people have lush neighbourhoods, and as long as you warn people in the posts then it's up to them if they want to deal with switching defaults or not. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing it and would be happy if you ended up sharing it! :)
Oh yeah, there will definitely be all sorts of warnings. :) Someone else suggested making a dirt and a desert version, which I can do because both have 4 neighborhood-view textures, and I suspect that not many people use the dirt terrain. So, if I can make the terrain work like I want, I’ll probably make both a desert and a dirt default version.
hugelunatic replied to your photoset “It dawned on me that when I posted this terrain default I didn’t...”
The theme goes all through April! I'm excited to see what you come up with =)
Yeah, I know, but April is suddenly busy for me. *laugh* So, I’m hoping I can come up with a new tropical-island terrain before the end of April. We’ll see. :) I’m not going to be able to start working on it until we’re settled in after migrating.
lilleputtu replied to your photoset “These hills are still alive with the sound of still more screaming. :)...”
this looks so cool! are you gonna share? because *grabbygrabbyhands*
I suppose I could share the decorated terrain, sure. I’m pretty much done with editing the map. There’s not even any CC besides the volcanoes. I’m not sure it’ll look the same with different defaults in, though.
princesspiratecat replied to your post “PSA”
Welcome to my side of the world! I live in the San Bernardino mountains, but we often venture to the beach on the weekends, when we aren't working on our house. Have fun! :)
Ah, I’d rather be in the mountains. Hubby’s house is a beach house in Orange County and while it’s nice being on the beach eventually all the people on the beach get to me. That, and the traffic. I’m something of a traffic-phobe when driving. But on the plus side: Fast internet, woo! :) I’m lucky to get 4Mbps out of the satellite here, but out there....Oh, yeah. :)
immerso-sims replied to your photoset “Yup! This neighborhood definitely feels like home! *laugh*”
Looks lovely! We had maybe one snowy day in Denmark this winter. Which is a shame. I love snow. :( But yeah, what can you do...
It’s funny. Given Denmark’s latitude, you’d think y’all would get a lot snow, but I guess since you’re at sea level and surrounded by water you get more of a maritime-type climate. Well, if you want snow...Come on over! :) We’re heading into melt/mud season now, though. Going to SoCal is going to be a bit of temperature shock. It’s room temperature and warmer there and it’s around freezing here. *laugh*
hugelunatic replied to your photoset “This I-don’t-know-why-I’m-doing-this neighborhood is pretty much the...”
I'm not convinced about the reddish, but I'm excited to try it out! :)
It is red, yeah, but I kinda wanted that. I used pics taken in Moab, Utah for the soil, and the soil and rock there tend toward a Mars-like orange. :) I didn’t want orange, but I didn’t want just brown, either, so I went with clay-colored, which is sort of what I’ve got around here, at least in patches.
princesspiratecat replied to your photoset “I’ve never found a dirt terrain that really satisfied me, including...”
Hmmm...I'm curious to see how my own dirt roads would look with this. But you'd probably need something a tad darker.
Feel free to try it out! I have a picture in my mind of what I’d like to do to make a matching dirt road default, but I don’t know if it’ll pan out. If it doesn’t, I’ll need to come up with something else, and I might just use yours as a template of sorts. :)

Mamasquirrel’s Simetics Simedy Short Stories Simlit: Chapter 4 of Series 1 “Luminous” Thanks to all the CC, pose pack , and mod makers that I use in my simlit stories.
Tumblr media
World 1: “Willow Creek”
The group of friends reach their first destination. It’s pouring the rain and begins to thunder, they need to decide quickly where to go first to seek shelter before the storm gets worse.
Tumblr media
They decide to go to the Library first. “How about that young lady there? Maybe we should talk to her. What do you think, Carafe?” Asks Vastra.
“Yes, I think we should start with her. The guys can sleuth around while we talk to her.? Says Carafe.
Tumblr media
“Excuse me, Miss?” Asks Carafe.
The young lady looks up at Carafe with a flustered look on her face. “Yes?”
“Hi, uhmm... I’m looking for my missing parents. Have you seen them?” Asks Carefe, as she shows the young lady a picture of her parents.
“Nope!” Says the young lady, and returns her attention back to the computer.
Tumblr media
With finding no information at the Library, they travel to the Museum. Fornax and Vastra go over any information that they think could be clues.
“One person said that they look familiar to them. That is good right? That’s a start?” Says Fornax. It at least gives him some hope for now.
Tumblr media
World 2 “Oasis Springs”
They travel to the bar. They talk to the bartender. They explain that they are looking for some missing family. They show the picture to the bartender.
“I might have seen them. It’s been months ago though. Not sure if it was them.” If you can tell me their blood type, I can tell you how well I know them, if that was them.” Says the bartender, laughing evilly.
Tumblr media
“I think it’s a good idea if we just ask around and then get out of here.” Says Phoenix. Fornax talks to a few people and shows the picture to them.
“They are not the only people missing you know.” Says the young man.
“What? What do you mean?” Asks Fornax.
“There are others missing too. I can’t say more than that. I don’t know who I can trust or is listening.” Replies the young man, as he walks away.
Tumblr media
They need rest and to freshen up a bit. They travel to the gym to get showers and naps before traveling on to the next world.
Tumblr media
World 3: “Windenburg”
The group of friends go to one of the local bars. They talk about what they have learned so far in they journey. Fornax tells them about the other missing people.
“More missing people? Why are they missing? Is there something in common with these missing people?” Asks Carafe.
“Now that we have something to go on, that is what we need to find out.” Says Vastra.
Tumblr media
Fornax strikes up a conversation with the bartender. “I was wondering if you could tell me anything about missing people? My parents are missing too and I don’t know where to look for them. Have you seen them? Asks Fornax, as he shows her the picture.
“Yes, I know something about the missing people. I have a friend that went missing about 5 months ago. Haven’t heard from her since. There was a clue that the police found at her home. Well, they think it’s a clue.” Says the bartender.
“Really? What was the clue left behind? Maybe, it will help with finding her and all the missing people.
“It was tape. The kind of tape you would put on a bandage.” Replies the bartender. “Put on a bandage? Asks Fornax.
“I had just seen her a few hours earlier. We had went to lunch together. I never saw any injuries that would require bandages, and she never mentioned to me  any injuries either.” Replies the bartender.

Carafe and Vastra strike up a conversation with a few of the bar’s patrons.
“We are looking for my missing parents. Have you seen them?” Asks Carafe, as she slides the picture towards them.
“Can’t say that I have, can’t say that I haven’t.” Probably that invisible pink bunny got’em, like it got into my darn vegetable garden. It made all my carrots and lettuce disappear. Wish I had a way to catch that furry rascal. Kinda be hard though, since it’s invisible you know.” Says the older gentleman.
Carafe and Vastra both look very puzzled. Not sure how to approach the man’s theory, but the young lady intervenes.
“What? Invisible pink bunny? Have you been visiting the bubble blower machine again Frankie? How do you know that it’s a pink bunny if it’s invisible? Asks the young lady.
“I saw a pink glow. I heard something in my garden one night. I go outside and I saw a pink glow coming from the garden. It was too dark to see anything else. The next morning, there were carrots and lettuce missing. That’s how know.” It’s probably one of those darn simvernment experiments gone wrong. Made themselves an invisible pink giant bunny that steals.” Exclaimed Frankie.
“Have you ever seen it again?” Asks Carafe
“Nope, but it still gets into my darn garden.” Replies Frankie.
“Would you mind if we take a look in your garden to see if there are any clues to finding out what it is?” Ask Vastra.
“I told you it’s a invisible pink bunny, but nope, I don’t mind.” Says Frankie.
He gives them the address and they head out to look for Frankie’s invisible pink bunny.

After searching Frankie’s garden and finding more of this bandage tape and a piece of silver metal, they decide to grab some lunch at the Cafe.

“Hi there cutie! Could I have one of your recommended specials?” Asks Phoenix, as he winks at the barista.
The others not expecting this flirtatious banter from Phoenix, just look on in amusement.
“There are several of my specials that I could recommend, but I think it’s best we stick with the food group special # 2 on the menu.” flirtatiously replies the barista.
“Special # 2 it is then. Maybe, some other time you can tell me about the other specials. Says Phoenix, slipping him a piece of paper with his number on it.
“Sure thing.” Replies the barista, giving Phoenix a wink.

Carafe sees two ladies talking. She decides to ask them about her parents and the other missing people.
“All I can tell you is, that my sister who works for the hospital in town has been real secretive about work lately. She use to call me every night after work to gossip. Now, she just says her day was fine. I know something is up. She loves to gossip and be in the drama. So, I know she is hiding something.” Says the older lady.
“Has she ever mentioned anything, anything at all that could us find these missing people?” Asks Carafe.
“No, she has been completely elusive.” Replies the older lady.
The group of friends decide it’s time to head to the next world. They have little still to go on, but learned they might be on to something big. What will they find in the next world? Who will be there? Where will the clues lead them?

For someone who wants to venture into the world of cc making, how would you suggest that I start? Also, do you have to use photoshop, or can you use an alternative like GIMP?
I suggest you start small/simple. If you have no experience and try to take on a huge project that you have to learn a dozen things to complete it, its going to turn you off cc making very quickly. It is best to try and master things one at a time rather then trying to learn everything at once without grasping the basics. Its much like Mathematics or any subject at school, they start you off simple, then build up to the more advanced stuff. Also don’t put any expectations on yourself that you know you wont accomplish. Goals are great, but realistic goals are better. I tried something new which each set I made, just one thing and I accomplished it then moved on. Its a great for boosting motivation too.
Putting the rest under a read more because of babble:
Grab blender right away. The more you play with it and experiment, the better off you are going to be. Just play around, look up videos or written tutorials and just get familiar with the program, you are going to be using it a lot. Same with GIMP. There is nothing I see more readily then people taking on a huge project and have no clue how to use the tools in front of them. Its much like a carpenter not being able to swing a hammer. It is overwhelming to begin with, but trust me, just focus on when you need to learn first and them do it in stages. Unfortunately this wont come by snapping your fingers together, but persistence and practice is key.
If you want to be a CAS creator, probably start with recolouring. Although it doesn’t seem glamourous as making meshes, it is an important aspect as the texture can make or break an item. There are plenty of tutorials out there on how to recolour as well. From there you can move on to mesh edits, then frankenmeshing, then from there you can do much more as you would have learnt UV Maps, weights and much more.
If you are more interested in objects , then I would again start with recolouring, and even mesh edits. You don’t have the complexity of weights for most objects so its a bit easier to start further along. Once you are comfortable you can try your hand at editing EA meshes. This will get you familiar with UV maps; one of the biggest pains in my ass when it comes to CC making. It takes a while to get a hang of them, and even longer to master.
When you get stuck and can’t figure out how to do it, I find googling the specifc issue (like UVMaps or resizing in Blender) gets you far more hits outside the community then inside it. Modding is such a vast topic and limiting yourself to just the simming community is seriously going to hinder you. Just make sure you are specific with what you are looking for, that helps a lot.
I think the biggest thing is make sure you are doing this for the ‘right’ reasons (totally subjective). If you are doing this because you are interested in the meshing for yourself, it is much easier to learn because you want to. If you are doing it for other reasons, it’s not going to be as easy because you are always going to have that little voice inside your head going “you could be doing something else.” Enthusiasm for a subject, just like at school, makes it more enjoyable and seem far less like work and more like a hobby.
As for the question about needing Photoshop? Definitely not. When I started I used GIMP (back in TS3 days). It is certainly capable of doing what you need. I do believe you need to grab the nVidia DDS plugin though (just like PS) so make sure you grab that. If any texture requires transparency of any kind, i feel PNG format kinda sucks for it. You can always revisit the idea of using PS later down the line. It does have some advantages (like being the default for texture tutorials) but it really isn’t necessary at all. There are actually some things GIMP does better the PS and wish i had those features back.

About
Cabbage Patch CC is your one stop shop for your CC needs for Babies, Toddlers & Children.  So often it can get a bit frustrating looking for a certain piece of CC for the little ones in the game and I thought it would be nice to not have to wade through all the other stuff to find it.  So I’ve mostly started this ambitious project for myself but I hope others will find it useful as well.
What You’ll Find Here: CC and Mods related to Sim Babies, Children and Toddlers.  When I get around to adding the earlier games I will have Teen related stuff here as well but since Sims 4 lumps teens in with Young Adult and higher I won’t be doing it for most stuff in regards to sims 4.  However if I do find a cool mod or pose set that enhances the teen gameplay experience I will be including it here.
How it Works: I am a simple indexer of things.  I will not host or support any of the CC or mods you find here.  I don’t have the capacity to do so.  If an item is on tumblr I will reblog the link and tag it so it appears in the Index.  If an item is outside of tumblr I will create a new post for it however I will be linking back to the original creator in as much as I am able to.  Then I will tag the items so that they’ll appear in the Index.
Indexing: In order to keep this as simple as possible to start each game will have an index with a list for each age category underneath it.  Each of these will link to a sub category (CAS, BuildBuy, Mods, Other, Ect) that I have active links for.  Each of those sub Indexes will have links to tags that follow underneath them. If you don’t see something that means I don’t have anything for that particular category at the moment.  Especially at the start this place is going to be a bit empty but new stuff will be added as I find it.
How Will I Find Stuff: Searching.  Newer stuff will show up on my dash or CC blogs that I follow over on my main simblr.  Older stuff I will be searching the internet and going through blogs in search for it as best I can.  I will miss stuff new and old but I will try my best to catch it all.
Creators: If you find one of your items here and you do not wish to have it indexed please let me know and I will removed it ASAP.  Same goes if there is an item you want to appear here that I have somehow missed.
Others: CC comes and goes and I have no capacity to keep track of every link on here so if you find a post with a broken link please let me know.  If you can provide me with a working link to the item that would be helpful as well.  Full credit will still go to the original creator in such a case.
About Me: Hi, my name is Amy,  My Origin ID is 3KNPen.  My Main Simblr is: HERE. My simming style is chaotic at best and I live for starting new save files even though I have 100 going already. I have been simming since 2013.  I started with Sims 3 but when it failed to love me as much as I love it I moved on to Sims 4.  I have since collected all of Sims 2 and love it the most.  I also play Sims Medieval and have some of Sims 1 I just haven’t had any luck getting it to the run. I love CC shopping more then actually using most CC in my game and I love organizing stuff so this site is a natural fit for me.
My Ask Box is always open so any other questions or concerns please drop me a line as well!
