#i wish i could've seen this movie as a child because it would have done me so much good

i just watched the mlb movie and i have THINGS to say. this is gonna be veeery rambly so pardon in advance.
Also be warned, this contains spoilers (not to much in the first part, but at the bottom) (long post so i'm cutting it)
First things first!! I absolutely loved the animation, it's really good and the backgrounds and settings felt so real and alive! (and there are actual people walking the streets of Paris A WIN!) Plus the characters felt, again, so alive and realistic! They're all pretty, and I love the expressions they make, they're not overly exaggerated like in the series and I think it just fits better with the story and visuals in this case. I HAVE to mention Chloè, my girl was looking so pretty and gorgeous, like i'm sorry that's my child i will love her forever and i don't care they discarded her redemption arc, she has one IN MY HEART you cannot change my mind!! and i appreciated Sabrina a lot more, that too, she's kinda nice.
Marinette was actually just awkward and clumsy without being borderline a stalker and i love her so much, i really really like this Marinette, she's nice and sweet and has actual development and growth that feels realistic.
Adrien was even more different than his show counterpart but honestly? he's such a lovable boy here too! it felt like they were trying to incorporate more of his chatnoir-esque sides into the og Adrien, and i think it balances perfectly.
I really ADORED how they managed the dynamic between Ladybug and Chatnoir, it was cute, fun and full of tension, I wish we could've seen more of them being kind of frenemies in the show, it really builds up their relationship better and who doesn't love rivals to lovers?
The Adrienette dynamic was cute too, i feel like Marinette being less "crazy" was the best choice to push their relationship forward without making it look forced or rushed. Very very nice!!!
As for Plagg and Tikki i don't really know how I feel about them? Like Plagg was barely in the movie and he didn't do much other than eating, farting and complaining he was hungry (seriously, movie?). I don't want to say he's completely different from show Plagg, but I feel like they didn't do him justice. Tikki, well, I liked her. Definitely less sensible than show Tikki, but I still think it makes sense for her to be a little reckless, she's literally the kwami of creation, she probably thinks she can fix anything if it goes wrong (and that would also be kinda right, sooo).
I actually also liked Gabriel for a change, too. It reminded my of early seasons Gabriel, with all his humanity and just wanting his wife back, and not just the villain who's evil just for the sake of evilness. They brought him back as a three-dimensional with a purpose and regrets. I truly believe this is what Gabriel should've always been.
I am very confused about Emilie's body being there, i thought the movie was a one-shot, but it feels like this is a tie for a sequel maybe?
Also i was wondering why Marinette never used her lucky charm in the beginning only to realize she doesn't have that power here LMAO
NOW TO THE JUICY PART
SO
THE LOVE SQUARE WAS RESOLVED
I couldn't believe my eyes, I was in SHOCK when i realized Marinette saw Chatnoir without his mask and heard him call Gabriel dad and I literally thought nothing was gonna come out of it because it felt impossible BUT THEN she goes and calls his Chatnoir during the ball and reveals herself and I really didn't think we were gonna make it this far tbh adskdsdfh i was squealing and just rejoycing.
Then they still robbed me of the kiss. WHY MUST I ALWAYS SUFFER AT THE HAND OF THIS SHOW WHY
Overall I LOVED the movie, the only thing i didn't really like was the songs. Don't get me wrong, they're good songs and i actually really like some of them, but it just felt like there were way too many and interrupted the flow of the show in awkward places. So it's a meh, I think the movie could've done with less songs, but it still was very enjoyable, and as I said I very much liked it.

Friday, September 20
Almost everything that belonged to the l/n family was packed away and ready to be moved to the city. Sure, she was physically prepared but she wasn't mentally ready for the fact that she could see Keigo again. She did her research and found out he was going up in the ranks although he was pretty young in age. But because of his looks he was no doubt popular with the ladies. F/n felt the slightest bit threatened by that, she wanted to move out the friend zone and be in that place ever so long ago. But the one problem was how much resemblance hiro had with him, he was basically a carbon copy of him even with the big red wings that sprouted from his back.
But for now, the h/c woman needed to get her mind off of the issue so she could relax with her only love since Keigo. Hiro was at the babysitters today so Her and Elijah could be alone. They were kind of a thing, basically dating without the label. They kissed, hugged, went on dates, did the lovely bedroom tango. Hell, hiro saw him as a father figure and called him 'pops'. The perfect man right? You would think she would claim him already but something lingered on her mind all these years that stopped F/n.
A familiar set of headlights shining through the living room bay window snapped her out of her thoughts. Quickly, the woman ran to the door to see Elijah walk up to her and lock his car doors. They had done this same routine almost 1,000 times it felt like. "Elijah, you're 10 minutes late." She laughed, looking down at the gas s station bag in his hand, her favorite snack wrapper peaking out a small hole in the middle. He remembers, how sweet. "I'm late because I wanted to treat my queen with snacks so we wouldn't have to go out later. I do apologize but I wanted ti tame the fierce dragon in your stomach." The raven haired man laughed as he stepped in past her and took off his shoes and replaced them with soccer ball slippers he always kept over here. "How are you feeling about the move? It sucks we won't be able to do this anymore since you were moved."
"How am I supposed to feel? I don't want to go back into the city, I wish it was anyone else but me. Although, Hiro Is happy. You know he was getting made fun of a bit for having wings since this town doesn't have many mutation quirks. He's been wanting to make better friends so at least I won't have to worry about that."
"I don't get why you didn't move him to the school near me. They have more mutation quirks there, parents move them there after also getting bullied."
"You know those parents either have a scholarship or money both of which I don't have. I don't have the money to send him there, I wish I could've."
"But I could and would've paid for him, you can always ask him love the little man." Elijah started to scroll through the movies trying to find an interesting one on Netflix. Hulu was the next option. when they ran out.
"And who would take him every day? I'd feel to bad, how many times have we had this conversation Elijah?" She would get drinks before sitting next to him and leaning into him. He smelt like cherries, it was almost like a natural scent but it was really the lotion he used. They are his favorite after all.
"Lets just watch the movie okay? Fear street sounds nice, turn that one on." F/n said and Eli nodded in response, eating his hot fries while turning to the one movie they had never seen. This was a tradition between the two that happened weekly, Elijah would come over and they would choose a movie to watch. Sometimes, even hiro would join but most of the time it would be Elijah and Y/n against the world for years upon years.
The whole movie, Y/n had trouble focusing and all she could jump back to was the same questions that had been stirring for days. 'Will he forget about me? Would he stop loving me when I left? Would I move on?' These thoughts kept racing through her head before she finally couldn't take it and turned to the Black man beside her. "Elijah... When I leave, will you move on? I expect you to have women and men lined up after me, just ready to take my place. You probably won't even have anymore time for mr when you do." Her face was filled with hope as she looked through his face. "I won't be unless you replace me which I was hoping you wouldn't do? I know you wouldn't f/n."
Boy was he in for a rude awakening....
F/n nodded as tears started to prick in the corners of her eyes. No she wasn't the emotional type but this moment was just sweet or maybe it was her period making her overly emotional. He was the only other man she's ever loved though. "I love you Elijah"
"I love you too" He smiled and leaned down, wrapping her into a passionate kiss.
But did you really mean those words? Did you love him or did you love the attention you got from him? Did you just want sympathy from hawks and was mirroring through him? Is that why you claimed not to be ready when really you only wanted Keigo Takami even after all these years. So why were you still dragging him on? You can't answer that can you.

4 o'clock • Johnny Suh(m)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
warnings : mentions of depression, suicide, self harm, smut.
summary : Johnny's saved you quite a few times, with that smile of his, with that goofy laugh of his, he's your sitting mate, he's your note collector, he's your friend, he's the fashion major who's gotten your lousy dark outfits together for stupid parties, he's your saviour, Johnny saves you-truly in every meaning-because one night, he saves your life too.
You seep into your bed, your body felt like it had the weight of a bag of bricks, you were anchored to your sheets, sweat glossing over your body. Why did depression had to be like this? Will you ever be happy? You were so tired of this feeling, this never ending cycle where you'd always end up being unhappy. Maybe tonight's the night, you decide, tonight's the night you'd stop being this damn sad. You had that dream again, where you're afloat, all alone and you're trying to drown but you don't run out of breath. Dreams have a weird way of terrorizing one's peace of mind. You felt unlovable in your skin, fingers grazing up against the half healed slits on your wrists from so many times before, you've been in this situation so many times before.
Did you really have to recollect the horrendous mistakes you made in middle school? Couldn't you forgive yourself? Did you really have to read all of the things you were told online? It's been years. You're an adult hung up on something that has passed so long ago. Bullying- is a really heavy word-one of your friends said to you once, this is how kids behave she'd told you. So it looked more reasonable to blame yourself instead. It was your fault you were hurt, it was a voice in your head who'd hurt you, not anyone else's. The problem is rooted from you, so you conclude that it's best if you remove it.
A noise that goes unregistered by you hauls you out of your ruminations. Your phone rings, vibrating on the bedside table, you feel like your head's underwater, the buzzing of your phone pushing you to grab onto it, the orange glow of the screen reading, Johnny. You smile at the name, you love him, from the first day he'd cracked some lame joke, from the day you'd seen his eyes light up when he'd talk about 50's fashion, Johnny's saved you quite a few times, be it from angry professors or loud parties, he was your drunken nights' caretaker, your savior and perhaps, your only friend, the person who'd make you genuinely happy, with him, you could forget that you were suffering from an eon long depression. With him, you could believe in love. You wished to tell him how much you liked him but unfortunately, he'd never know. He'd never hear your voice after this call.
You pick up the phone, "Hey, how's my favorite dwarf?" He breathes, you can hear him smile, you think about all the nights you'd spent together in your apartment, with rented movies and stolen hawaiian pizza from the job you'd taken at a pizza parlor because it was his favorite, you'd remembered how Johnny designed you a beautiful shirt on your birthday. You thought about how much you're going to miss Johnny, and how much he's going to miss you. It's not fair-taking away his friend like that- you can picture him finding out you've killed yourself, shocked at the paleness of you, wondering what he missed-how he could've saved you. It isn't fair to him, you think, but then again, nothing is ever fair. You were a burden to him, taking up his love, his time, and you needed to go. You bite your lip to mask the sound of you crying as tears well up in your eyes, your vision blurring.
"y/n?" He calls, his voice coated with genuine concern, you choke out uncontrollably, and by now, Johnny can tell you're crying. "hey, what's wrong? What is it? Where are you? I'm coming over with your favorite chocolate chip cookies, that's why I called, tell me when I get there if you don't want to now, what's wrong? What happened?" He bombards you with questions, "Goodbye, Johnny, I-I love you." You croak, hearing him shuffle with car keys.
You had to be fast, you think, so you hang up before the honey sweet tone of Johnny Suh's voice makes you retreat from your pursuit.
It'll take Johnny a solid 15 minutes to get your place, so you take your sweet time. Bleeding to death is a bit too messy, you think, ideas filling up your heavy head when you watch your bathtub. You put on a black dress, color your lips a rosy red, as you fill your bathtub up, put on Perry Como's 'Killing Me Softly', you dance to yourself, eyes shut close as tears kiss your face, you watch the blue sky getting splattered on with dark ink of black black clouds-goodbye, world, you think.
Strumming my pain with her fingers, singing my life with her words.
Your toes curl at the coolness of the icy water of the bathtub, as you unlocked the door to your apartment, making sure Johnny has no trouble in finding you in your lifeless body, you lay down, slightly afloat, like you were in your dream and you try to drown just like, how you did in your dream, pressing your body to the bottom of the tub, you hear a faint call of your name, the loud sound of a door being pushed open, you're drowning, just like you dreamt except now, you really do lose breath, your vision blurs,
Killing me softly with her song, killing me softly with her song.
It happens so fast, you have a flash of what being a child was like, the faint memory of your mother's soft smile, I'm sorry, mom, for breaking your heart, you think, the voices in your head dying out with you.
.....
Your eyes shoot open and you cough out a fistful of water, your wet body plastered to the bathroom floor. Johnny's looking down at you, with his eyes reddened, he sighs, his arched cupid's bow resigning into an expressionless purse. He pushes himself away from your body, his back pressed up against one of the bathroom walls. You turn your head to him, words disappearing at the back of your throat, guilt rushing over, as you look at Johnny, his soft brown glistening, the happiness in them seized as he looks back at you.
"I thought you died," he croaks, and you sob, you sob and sob, your heart out, Johnny picks you up, and cradles you to his chest.
You hold him close, you're alive, you feel alive, he makes you want to be alive, with the rapid beat of his heart, a heart that's wrapped around yours. You're both pouring each other's emotions into one another, you feel the ache in your body dying away. "I love you." He says, kissing your forehead, you're not sure how he means it, but you don't question it. He's always been your savior. He's always saved you and tonight, he's saved your life.
........
Johnny looks over to you in the passenger seat, you're in one of his shirts that he'd left when he was going over to your place for a movie night.
He'd decided that he couldn't trust you with yourself, and brought you out, bought you your favorite dark chocolate frappe, and frozen yogurt. He plays Daniel Caesar's 'Get You', as he taps the steering wheel, humming to himself.
He's driving you to his place in silence, the apartment a foreign one as you've never been there before. "Johnny," he hums, his eyes widening at the one thing you've said since after he's found you.
"Sing to me." You say, placing your palms against his thigh, Johnny watches you smile at him, and he feels like his heart might beat out of his ribcage, he's really the reason behind your smile, he can hardly believe it. "I will, when we get home, sweetheart." You melt into the seat, with the nickname on his tongue dissolving like butter on a hot pan, he mirrors you, grinning so wide that he fears his face might hurt.
....
Johnny's apartment is arranged, a little too arranged and prim- perfect in monochrome colors, except that wall of his where he's painted a picture of a drying river, there's the smell of cologne and something sweet like almond in his apartment, Johnny still has Daniel Caesar's entire Freudian album booming through his speakers, you drink in the whole apartment, you've never seen this side of him, the most unfamiliar thing in his room being a grand piano, record labels of different bands, and Johnny's fashion magazines, a framed cloth on which he's designing a white dress, you assume for his class project or something.
A pleasing smell of delicious pasta wafts the air, Johnny hums along to the music as he cooks, you watch him sway his hips, holding a spatula up for a mic as you lean on to the doorway of his kitchen, you smile at him, snorting when he hits the imaginary notes with the beats of his feet. Johnny turns to you and grins, "I'm almost done." He says, urging you to go into the living room. That's where his table sits.
You're at the loss of appetite, feeling yourself full from the frappe, you never imagined the after blow of your survival would be so sweet, that Johnny reciprocate your love for him, you whine when he comes to the table with the meal.
He stabs the pretty looking penne with his fork, nearing you as if he were to feed you, "I'm not hungry. You eat." You giggle when he furrows his eyebrows together in false anger.
When he doesn't relent, you bite into the spoonful of pasta, sighing and melting into his cooking. "Delicious right?" He asks, beaming as he gets to feeding you and himself.
After dinner, Johnny reaches a hand out for you, "A dance?" You nod vehemently, your much smaller frame pressed into his enormous one as he rests his palm against the small of your back, your arms around his neck. You feel your heart beat and so does he.
Thank you for saving my life. The song plays in the background, you press your cheek to Johnny's chest, he shares your rapid heart beats, you wonder what would've happened if you really drowned, who would dance with you tonight? Who would take care of you? You're thankful as the tenderness of Johnny's body pressed to yours spread all over your body, you want to tell him that you can feel him in your rushing blood, your love for him coursing through your veins like adernaline, the scent of his rain and almond milk self paralyzes you to your core but Johnny speaks up first. "I owe you a song." He says, plopping down in front of his piano as you sit above your weight supported by your feet, he plays your favorite, La Vien En Rose, he sings, his fingers dancing over the keys of the piano deftly, you watch him, in his white shirt, his broad shoulders dancing along to the rhythm of his piece. You watch his rosy mouth move to the words he utters. He has a weird way of pacifying you, when he opens his mouth to utter a lyric, you get to your feet, hold Johnny's face in your hands and kiss him- he's stopped in his speech, half lyric
Your gut feels like a hundred butterflies have exploded in it when he kisses you back, he stands, much taller than you, his arms pulling you close to him as he grins at you, you back away a little when he leans in in reflex, "Let me kiss you properly, dummie," you giggle, and let Johnny cradle your face before he kisses you. His mouth tastes of cherry wine, his tongue licking into your mouth, drinking you whole. Your palms rest on his stomach as your feet back up and you end up clanking the piano keys with a clink.
Johnny holds you by your hips, sitting you atop of the instrument as he slots in between your legs, when you rattle with his belt, attempting to pull it off, he pulls away from you, catching his breath as his forehead presses up against yours. "We could do something else. Are you sure you're okay? Do you really want this?-"
You cut him off with a kiss, now that you've had a taste of having him, you can't stop till he's yours entirely. "Johnny, I want this. I want you." He groans at your response, grabbing your thighs and wrapping them around your waist as he carries you to his bedroom.
Johnny strips you, little by little, kissing your shoulder, your scars, his fingers consuming every bit of you, carving you newly like a precious clay piece. You reach over his collar and bring your mouth to his, Johnny takes this as a sign to take his shirt off, holding your ankles to his shoulders, "Fuck," he swears, when he slips into you. Your nails dig into his back as his name falls off of your lips like a mellifluous song. His thrusts are are soft, his hands all over you, as if he were scared to let go. You can feel him in your stomach, full to the brim. You feel him twitch, every bend of you intermingled in him. "You're so beautiful," he tells you in between moans, and for the first time, you really believe it.
In the narrow sliver of moonlight reaching his face, you can tell that Johnny's cheeks are tainted a cherry pink, he sighs out your name, your high chasing the pace of his thrusts, as you clench around him, you drive him to reach his climax.
Johnny slows down his pace, his bottom lip drawn into his mouth, when you whimper his name, he feels like that must be the end of it, but when he's met with the beautiful sight of your brows scrunched up in oversensitivity, he lets loose, pumping his cum into your core, "I love you," he says, only to hear you repeat it.
That's the night you go to bed with Johnny, sleep invading your body from the after effect of your late night activity.
That night you dream of drowning again, except you're learning to swim, and you dream of the drying river which was painted on Johnny's wall. You dream of Johnny, pulling the anchor out of your spine and hauling you out of bed.
When you're awake in the middle of the night, the dry feeling of being afraid is absent, Johnny, in his sleep, pulls you to him with one of his hands, his arms wrapped securely around your waist. Your back is pressed up against his front and you smile to yourself.
Johnny's saved you a million times and each time, you'd let him.

For the meme, 003 Javert?
@musicalpasta also asked for 001-Les Miserables, 002-Valvert, and 003-Javert, so I’ll just go ahead and answer them all here. (I didn’t forget about this, I promise. There’s just been a lot going on, and I wasn’t able to finish it until now.) Les Miserables- Favorite character: JAVERT IS MY GUTTER CHILD, AND I WILL LOVE HIM FOREVER Least Favorite character: Either Tholomyes or Madame Thenadier 5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): Valvert (Platonically), Valvert (Romantically), Enjoltaire, Javert x His Name, Marius x Cosette. Character I find most attractive: It really depends on the adaptation, but out of all of them, I'd definately say Quast!vert. Character I would marry: I haven't gotten to the Barricade Boys' part in The Brick yet, but from what I've seen from Tumblr, probably Jehan. Character I would be best friends with: Grantaire. A random thought: Javert went to Heaven. 100%. Your argument is invalid. An unpopular opinion: Russell Crowe was a good Javert. My Canon OTP: The one-sided relationship of Enjoltaire. My Non-canon OTP: Valvert as platonic life partners. Most Badass Character: Tie between Jean Valjean or Javert. Most Epic Villain: I would say Javert, BUT HE'S NOT A VILLAIN, so... The King, maybe? (I just don't want to give the Thenadiers any positive attention at all.) Pairing I am not a fan of: Marius x Eponine Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): In most adaptations, Cosette. Favourite Friendship: Canon- Marius and Courfeyrac ; Non-Canon- Valjean and Javert Character I most identify with: Javert Character I wish I could be: Enjolras
Valvert- When I started shipping them: Ever since I first saw the movie, I always thought they could have been such good friends if only they had both lived. My thoughts: I headcanon both of them as asexual, but I totally see them being platonic life partners (once they work through their many... many issues). What makes me happy about them: My Poor Gutter Child finally gets to feel true happiness and have someone that truly loves him for probably the first time in his life. What makes me sad about them: It's not in canon because THEY'RE BOTH DEAD. Things done in fanfic that annoys me: When the relationship is rushed and/or they are severely OOC. Things I look for in fanfic: Slow-burn post-Seine AUs (although in all honesty, as long as they're alive, I really don't care.) My wishlist: I'm not sure what this means, but I wish they weren't dead (which they're not because Vicky was a LIAR). Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: In all honesty... I can't see them being with anyone except each other. I mean, they're the only ones who Truly know each other and their backstories, so I guess nobody. My happily ever after for them: Once again, pretty much anything as long as they're happy and not dead.
Javert- How I feel about this character: He is my Gutter Child(tm), and he deserved so much better. Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: I headcanon him as ace, but if I had choose, I'd say Valjean for obvious reasons. My favorite non-romantic relatioship for this character: Valvert 100% I think if their situations had been different (and/or if they hadn't, you know, DIED), they could've been best friends. Best friends with issues, but still best friends. My unpopular opinion about this character: Again, Russell Crowe was a good Javert. One thing I wish would happen/had happened with this character in canon: Valjean pulling him out of the Seine and helping him through his mental illness until he finds his will to live and then they become platonic life partners and live happily ever after and nobody dies. Thankfully, that is what happened because like I said earlier, Vicky was a liar. Favorite friendship for this character: This isn't exactly what this is asking, but I headcanon that because Madeleine and Javert most likely worked closely together quite often (and just the fact Madeleine is friendly to everyone), Madeleine was probably the closest Javert ever really had to a friend, which is one of the reasons why he felt so betrayed when it was revealed that Madeleine was Valjean. Update: I just realized I forgot about Gymont and how much I LOVE fics with them together, especially when Javert’s had a hard day chasing a certain convict, and Gymont cheers him up. (I’m so sorry for forgetting you, Gymont. Here, have some apples 🍏🍎) My crossover ship: Again, I can't see Javert with anyone except Valjean, so I don't think I have a crossover ship with him.

Hi, I've decided to make Mowgli's wolf parents their own characters, named Nisha and Vihaan, with Akela as the leader and grandfatherly mentor to Mowgli. Are their any sequels you think are better than the first movie? For me, All Dogs Go To Heaven 2 is much better that the original. Are their any relationships in Trollhunters that you feel could've been explored, ie, Claire and Draal? And how would you have done Troll!Jim and the final battle with Gunmar?-The Sapphire One.
I’m happy for you, making so much progress on your fanfic.
I would prefer if, in the future, you directed any further requests for advice on your Jungle Book fic to someone who is actually in the Jungle Book fandom, though? I’ve been trying to be courteous and supportive, but it’s getting exhausting to devote so much mental and emotional energy to determining, “what can I say that is helpful but also gently conveys I am not interested in discussing this topic further?”, especially since I don’t seem to be successfully conveying the ‘polite disinterest’ part.
When I have said, repeatedly, that I am not invested in The Jungle Book, what I mean is that it’s an okay story and I have nothing in particular against it, but it is not a fandom that I am in, and therefore fanfiction for it is not fanfiction I am inclined to read or discuss. I would rather devote my time and energy to stories and fandoms in which I do have an emotional investment.
I wish you good fortune in continuing this project and hope it finds the audience it deserves on whichever platform you choose to share it.

The All Dogs Go To Heaven duo is a neat one because each movie appeals to me in different ways.
The sequel had stronger music. “Let Me Be Surprised”and “It’s Too Heavenly Here” convey the same ideas, but “It’s Too Heavenly Here” has a lot more energy, possibly because Charlie’s had more time to go stir-crazy.
I respect the first one for not shoehorning in a romantic subplot with all the other plot lines they were already working with, but I respect the second one for introducing new elements a bit more cohesively - I mean, the alligator in the first one basically showed up out of nowhere. He did eat Carface in the end, so he was plot-significant, but he was still really jarring - so jarring a whole trope got named after the Big-Lipped Alligator Moment.
The timeline between movies is a bit confusing? I think the first one is set in the 1920s, or maybe the 50s. I’m basing this on partially car designs but cutting out the 10s, 30s, and 40s due to lack of mention of the Great Depression or either World War. But the second one, based on the humans’ clothing, looks like it’s in the 1980s, maybe 90s? So, unless dogs have a natural lifespan similar to a human one in this universe, it’s weird that the second movie starts when Itchy dies. (He’s be thirty, or seventy, depending on which of my time period guesses are right.) I guess there could also be a long time-skip between “It’s Too Heavenly Here” and Carface stealing Gabriel’s horn.
Overall I’ve found movie sequels tend to be lesser than or equal to the original movie. Shrek 2, for example, was really good, but I wouldn’t say it was better than Shrek.
Cinderella 3: A Twist In Time was exceptional, with how the writer’s took advantage of the opportunity to expand on the prince’s character - although he still doesn’t get a name - and Cinderella’s character as well, along with the different specific reasons her stepfamily was jealous and vengeful. (Lady Tremaine wanted the social status, Drizella wanted wealth, and Anastasia wanted emotional security.)
TV series, on the other hand, are often a bit stronger in their second season than the first, because they don’t have to introduce how the setting’s culture or magic/high tech system works unless something new is happening, and likewise they don’t have to introduce new characters every episode or two in order to build the initial main cast, and the main themes and conflicts of the series have been set up.

Draal’s relationships with everybody could have been expanded on. We don’t really see relationship development between him and anyone else other than Jim and Kanjigar’s ghost. There are some minor scenes showing him getting closer with AAARRRGGHH and Blinky, too, but that got cut off by Draal getting brainwashed before the audience got to see much of it.
You know who else didn’t get many relationships developed? Barbara.
There is exactly one scene, a one-sided phone conversation in Season 3, which implies she has a social life. Also, what is the relationship between her and Nana Domzalski? Jim and Toby are close, and their families live across the street, and Barbara addresses her as Nana, so clearly they’ve met, and yet Barbara never spoke to Nana on-camera in Season 1 about her concerns after Jim and Toby got arrested together and Jim started ‘acting different’?
And furthermore [insert rant about how Stricklake was fumbled in Season 3].
… Not to mention Blinky! She’s friendly with him when he gets turned human and Jim passes him off as a guidance counselor, but their very limited interactions do not explain why she was willing to let Jim go off to New Jersey with the trolls and didn’t even suggest she come along, basically temporarily turning custody of Jim over to Blinky when Barbara and Blinky have had all of one on-screen conversation since she got her memories back.

Okay, final battle redo, gotta keep Jim a troll …
First of all, Troll!Jim is a klutz. He just went through a massive growth spurt and hasn’t had time to adjust yet. It is acknowledged by him and others (though probably not Merlin), “Wow, this was a really bad idea to do right before getting into a fight, Jim is nearly back to beginner skill-level. At least he’s fast and therefore better at dodging, and can take a hit better.”
Alternately, shuffle everything around so that Jim turns into a troll by S3E6, so the audience has half the season to get used to him, because I think having Jim get trolled right before the final battle is one of the reasons Troll!Jim ended up being such a controversial character.
Either way, the Trollhunters fight Gunmar as a group.
Gunmar is facing Jim. Toby, using the Warhammer to fly, sneaks up behind Gunmar and hits him over the head. Gunmar reaches for Toby, but Blinky throws a dwarkstone in Gunmar’s face, and AAARRRGGHH charges in (possibly via portal so Gunmar won’t see him coming) and punches Gunmar in the gut. The combination of explosion and punch forces Gunmar to drop his sword, and Jim grabs it.
Jim, wearing the Eclipse armour, discovers he is able to hold the Decimaar Blade. (It is implied by how Gunmar conjures it that Decimaar is magically bound to the Gumm-Gumm warlord in a similar way to how Daylight is tied to the Trollhunter, so this might surprise Jim. At the very least, AAARRRGGHH should look surprised.)
Gunmar is distracted by Claire, who portals Blinky out of the way of an attack. Gunmar has seen Claire before, when Morgana agreed to help bring about the Eternal Night. “Morgana’s child …” He is confused and suspicious to see her on the Trollhunters’ side.
Toby swoops Jim above Gunmar and Jim drops down, doing that diagonal swiping attack but with the Decimaar Blade instead of Eclipse, and striking from behind. Gunmar doesn’t turn to stone right away - he turns and starts charging at Jim, who conjures the Eclipse sword stabbed into Gunmar’s chest, like how Jim stabbed Gladys and Bular with Daylight in Season 1.
Gunmar turns to stone and crumbles. Decimaar is still there. The blade’s highlights are blue again instead of gold. Jim picks it up and his eyes glow blue. The other Trollhunters exchange worried looks.
“Jimbo?”
“Master Jim?”
Jim sends out a blast of blue lightning-looking energy from the sword, like the red stuff that happened in the show when Gunmar died, except instead of exploding the Gumm-Gumms it un-brainwashes them. He then drops the sword and collapses. His friends rush to him. (He’s fine, just exhausted. Jim isn’t used to doing magic.)
Angor Rot wasn’t there when Jim and Gunmar started fighting. He saw Strickler and went off to kill him, as revenge for the magical enslavement in the second half of Season 1. Angor changes his mind when he sees Strickler get injured fighting a Gumm-Gumm to protect some humans who haven’t gotten to shelter yet, which prompts a flashback to Angor’s time as a hero. Angor goes off again, this time to hunt down Morgana, nonchalantly killing any Gumm-Gumms who cross his path on the way. (At this point, Angor may still want Strickler dead, but he’s willing to wait to kill him until after the Gumm-Gumms are defeated.)
The thing with Morgana happens like it did in canon except Angor gets thrown back instead of exploded.
Draal is with Nomura and Strickler protecting the civilians from the Gumm-Gumms, or possibly he did die because Draal would have smashed down that bathroom door in negative five seconds and stopped Jim using the potion. If he did die, they revive him later with the Creeper’s Sun antidote.
