This post is going to show you the EXACT moment that tear forms with indisputable evidence that consists of several screencaps, detail shots, and slowed down video proof, which will be at the very end.

The tear and I are getting married, her name is Trina and I love her.

Let's get right into it. Be prepared for uh. Very painful facial expressions! And tears (at the end).

We're going to look through the final fifteen chronologically with pit stops at important emotional points that I think would make sense to cause a tear.

As you can see, we go into this argument with mostly dry eyes, a little glistening here and there but those are NOT tears. Probably just the contacts plus the lack of blinking making his eyes a bit more moist than your usual pair. The tear will be obvious.

Obvious disbelief when Aziraphale tells him about the Metatron's bullshit, yes, but Crowley soldiers on through.

Now a scene that I personally thought would be most likely to cause tears - "tell me you said no". However - his eyes stay dry! Both before and after Aziraphale's non-answer. No tears.

The best spot to look at is his waterline, and as you can see it's free of any sad tears.

We have reached the "go off together" stage, Crowley is yelling, they're both emotionally perturbed, a very good foundation for tears. Yet when you look at his eyes during and right after, they're still dry!

We are now right before Crowley says "you can't leave this bookshop" and when he does BOOM the tear is suddenly there!

This is what our tear looks like, and we have a very narrow time frame during which it can appear. So it is time for the grand reveal because by now you're probably yelling at me "okay but WHEN does it show up??"

I will tell you. Or rather, I will show you first and then tell you what Aziraphale said right before that triggered it. Ready?

There it is. Left - no tear. Right - tear. (no i will not make the trivago joke again i want to but i wont.)

you can be my second in command THAT is what causes the tear to finally show up. Right as Aziraphale finishes his sentence you can watch as it appears.

As promised, here is the video evidence, slowed down by half and zoomed in on Crowley's face at the end.

Alright, have you seen enough tears? Good! Let's look at the emotional reason. Because your question is probably what is so special about that sentence that it tips Crowley over the edge?

That one sentence, that one "promise" Aziraphale makes him, destroys everything. All of it in one go.

It is not just about Aziraphale choosing heaven over him, it's not about him saying no to running away (Crowley probably saw that coming anyway). What Aziraphale does is he takes them, their us and eliminates it.

Not just is he telling Crowley that he's an evil demon tm who needs to be an angel to be worthy of staying in Aziraphale's life, but "second in command" takes that even further.

Not "ruling together" or "ruling side by side" or any variation of those. No, Aziraphale is telling him that they are not equal and never have been. That Crowley has always been inferior to him and always WILL BE even if he stops being a demon and does what Aziraphale wants.

This is why Crowley no longer things of them as an us after all of that. Aziraphale took every single meaning it had and inverted it, crushed it up, and then threw it away.

Yeah.

Crowley is telling him he is gay and in gay love with him. Aziraphale takes that and says "you can be my employee at gay conversion therapy which i will run #straight besties".

Crowley hears "second in command" and it is the last puzzle piece falling into place. It's the final straw and that is when we get the tear. Before that he was saying we can be together, be an us, just the two of us, you and me. He was referring to them as free equals who don't need heaven or hell, who are happy with everything the way it is. An Aziraphale who loves Crowley no matter what his former occupation might have been.

We could have been us. (I wanted us to be an us)

And Aziraphale's answer to that is there has never been an us and we never will be. i don't love you the way you love me.

Hang Up Raphael, I'm gonna get to know him better ♱♡‿♡♰ (Christmas Miracle L-Card PROLOGUE Spoilers I)

Hi hi once again lovelies, it is I your admin <;3 (i really need a name for you all to call me huh) Anyways, We're on to Raphael and I took way too many screencaps for this so I had to like pick and choose which ones I'm gonna use lol there were SO many good moments not to highlight. So just so you know, the beginning of it literally starts the same way as Michael's prologue with Minhyeok making a wish, us seeing his brother yadda ya (hmmm and here I thought it would be slightly different I guess not) And after that we're gonna dive right the fuck in. As per usual this is a two-parter, get yourself a snack and let's gooo ♨(⋆‿⋆)♨

So our MC was invited to Avisos in this story to celebrate x-mas but it's very different from what they're used to. Samba, festival clothing, parades, etc. Avisos be gettin' down I swear. But MC is over here like "the samba has nothing to do with-" Let them party. It's fine. Everyone celebrates differently and the Avisos citizens wanna shake their ass to some feel good music.

Naberius coming in to call them out on their thoughts, here is when I find out he can technically read minds so I'm gonna have to be careful around him...cause does that happen automatically or does he just do that when he feels like it?

I think it's cute he's feeding MC btw, but MC being guilty about what they said makes sense because it's like telling someone when you go over their house you don't like how they do something. Because you could...just wait until you get home or something don't tell me that while you're here lmao

So in this scene Naberius explains that he had the turkey cooked and made just because he knew humans ate two types of meat (really three if you feel) during christmas and wanted to make MC comfortable. It also sounds good as fuck because sauce was dripping down MC's chin.

But Naberius was treating it more like a chore than what a lover would, so this has me headcanon that Naberius is possibly part of the ace (asexual) family! now I'm unsure if he'd be demi, gray, or just full on ace but regardless, he's being cute feeding MC like this.

Meanwhile....

Our troublesome two...it's literally like watching two brothers fight and it's funny to me. Like Amon please don't take Stolas' juice T^T it was literally in his hand when he took it lmao

Also that sounds good too because it was fresh from a fruit bowl....my diet would be terrible in Avisos they eat so much and so many good foods ;.; (my ibs would probably kick my ass too)

So while Amon and Stolas are squabbling, Naberius is just like chiding them as per usual and MC asks where Bael is. He's working (poor bby let him REST) and this is when Naberius says that Amon and Stolas should be working too and only he was asked to look over MC during the festivities and that they usually have to patrol around because things get crazy lol

Stolas ofc is like yeah who the fuck cares we don't get to celebrate anyway so I'm taking this time to do so xD

He also adds that he's usually not outside during this time anyway because ppl annoy him with their happiness. (omfg Stolas is me on most days like why are all you outside? There's too many fucking ppl outside, go back to your own houses while I do grocery shopping then you can come back out)

Amon chimes in that Stolas likes staying in his dark room and how mature that is despite how he looks. Stolas gets really offended and threatens to kill him (that's on brand for our bird bby, he's so adorable)

ANYWAYS what Amon really does like to bring up that Stolas looks so young and honestly it's just like...I can see why he would be irriated about that coming up each time.

Amon ignores him of course and says he wants to make memories with MC (he's so fucking cute omfg) and Naberius whacks him on the head to remind him that he has work to do and he can't just be doing whatever.

AMON YOU CUTIE LOVE YOU <3333333 He's adorable, like I'd hang out with him all day if he wanted me to. (I also can imagine that since he gets flirty in the beel event, he'd probably feel comfortable enough to do a l o t more flirting when it's MC/you with him)

So Naberius brings in some lore about Avisos, bascially stating that they always need to celebrate something and there's no real reason for them to do so. As I stated before, this country loves to fucking party like I swear there was always something going on. He did bring up that he's slightly glad it's chilled out since the war (must of been that bad if a war makes him happy they stopped)

And MC is just like oh do you guys believe in Santa then or no?

And then our sexy sexy Beel boo enters the chat

So naturally all of his nobles are happy to see him, Amon especially and he brought them gifts!!!

He basically brought everyone back souvenirs from the places he's been. That's so thoughtful because he took time to think about what each person would like. This is also something I do when getting gifts for ppl and every day they reveal more about Beel it makes me be like "yup that's why I was paired with him"

Now we get to see what he got MC and oh.....

MC was just saying they were happy that they got to experience some adult items from Hell so they were grateful and would use it well, and while I love that response....

I would be creaming my pants already because I KNOW he bought that with the intention of MC using it with him and you know what....

But the topic of a christmas miracle starts being brought up again and Beel explains that there's always weird things happening in Hell around this time and well...he thinks it's best that you don't question it and just go with the flow

So it seems once again Raphael, just like Michael just fucking crashed into shit without any warning only the funniest thing about Raph is that he was fucking eating the food at the stalls LMAO

So we get some repeat lore about Raph, we got a little bit from the halloween event where it was Ppyong that explained how dangerous he was. And well from reading his comic he's literally as bloodthirsty as his seraph comrades...once he likes to play around and torment folks a bit. And if you're another angel that he does not like for any fucking reason yeah you're in the crossfire too. Raph's hands are rated E for everyone.

Naberius is over here growling and challenging him and Raph with those big balls of his (hehehe) is basically being like yeah you sent for me so don't trip. But that's the thing I don't think anyone particularly called for him...though it does seem like there's a specific angel that likes bothering a specific country. Raph-Avisos, Gabe-Gehenna, and Mike-Tartaros.

And then from here he starts giving critiques on the fucking meat and the customer service of the stalls and I'm like Raph bby.....why are you doing this lmao He's such a true villian because totally coming in and taking the local's food and still not satisfied with it tracks.

Okay I'm sorry I've gotta post this take because it's been driving me nuts, and I know I'm probably biased as an Aziraphale kinnie and a soft dom, but I do not understand the fans looking at the scene where he drives the Bentley and going "awwe look they get along so well together, father-car bonding time, so cuteee!!" because like- did we watch the same scene??

Y'all, he was intimidating the shit out of that poor car. It was cooperating with his wishes because it was scared of him, not because they were getting along so well together.

Like- watch that bit again, and really look at Aziraphale's microexpressions and tone when he talks to/about the car:

The little eyebrow raise and emphasis on the word "stays" while looking directly at the car?? This sentence is a warning; he's essentially saying "if you play anything other than classical music while I'm driving you, the Almighty help me." This is not a cute bonding moment, this is top energy!!

Crowley literally asks "what are you doing to it" when he chimes in on the radio, implying that these changes have occurred not by the car's own volition but because of Aziraphale's direct influence. He's making the car bend to his will and change to meet his desires for what he wants the car to be/look like/drive like. We even see him do this with other technology later in the same episode, when he borrows the cellphone from that random guy and just kinda... talks to it like an operator to get it to call his bookshop, rather than use it properly.

This is canonically just how Aziraphale acts with modern technology, he simply expects it to be or do whatever he wants, and miraculously, it becomes that. Essentially, Aziraphale is doing to the Bentley in this scene what Crowley does to his plants; putting the fear of God into it. I can practically imagine him saying "drive. BETTER!"

IDK, obviously it's open to interpretation, but it just kinda bugs me because the way people have been talking about this scene (among others) just feels like falling back into that classic-fandom habit of boiling Aziraphale's character down to "uwu soft bean~" and literally nothing else. He is soft! Absolutely! But there's also much more to him than that, especially in this season; Michael Sheen himself said in an interview (with Collider, I think) that "...one of the things that we wanted to explore with Aziraphale in this series is perhaps finding something a little steelier underneath the apparent soft surface." He's a multifaceted character, and I took this scene to be that "steelier" side coming out, a demonstration of how stubborn and determined to have his way he can be, even for something small like driving a car.

7.02 Veronica tells Betty she’s a catch, a total Marilyn, and she gets all blushy! Seems innocuous but Betty’s journey this season is very much being filtered through the lens of her discovering her femininity and sexuality, and Lili said in interviews she’s been playing it like Betty is seeing all her peers in a new sexual light so I’ve been reading into every microexpression this season feeling insane but actually? Not insane at all*

7.06 Betty goes to Veronica for advice about feeling sexy, Veronica tells her all about how she loves to wear lingerie, describes loving the sensations etc. and invites her over to try some on, and the whole locker room scene* Betty is like 👁️👄👁️

7.09 We find out that Veronica is one of the people Betty fantasises about, and one of her fantasies includes this locker room* kiss that, imho, combined with Lili's interview about how she's playing Betty this season? Defffffinitely connects back to Betty's awe during the locker room lingerie talk

7.12 After all the Riverdale parents have been classically negligent, Veronica and Betty start living alone together w no adults in V's apartment at the Pembrooke. They invite Kevin and Clay over for a sleepover and they all sing I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outta My Hair, and then later when it's just B and V, Veronica brings up Kevin and Clay's relationship and they both express curiosity about same sex relationships, V admits she's kissed a girl, B admits she's thought about kissing V specifically, V asks if she wants to try it, they almost kiss before they're interrupted by Mary (who, sidenote: schooled all the moms in Riverdale that week for their negligence and reset the living arrangement status quo)

On Dieter, Goya's Black Paintings, and Pedro on Talk Art 

Alright y'all, it's Saturday evening, I have nothing better to do (I actually do but I don't feel like it), so welcome to my mini TED Talk about 'how to pay too much fucking attention to the Pedro cinematic universe'. None of this is new, and maybe everybody already knew about this, but I didn't... so here's a nerdy tangent courtesy of googling/wikipedia-ing.

I was reading a Dieter!fic (this one right here by @chaoticgeminate - go read her writing!) earlier today, which refers to the 'Saturn Devouring His Son' painting - that giant mural Dieter is working on in The Bubble:

The original 'Saturn' by Goya

The fic mentioned its part of 'The Black Paintings', so I got curious and started googling. I'm no art major or expert, so please allow me to just paraphraze the Wikipedia page. 'Saturn' is part of a group of 14 Goya paintings that are called Pinturas Negras/The Black Paintings. They "portray intense, haunting themes, reflective of both his fear of insanity and his bleak outlook on humanity" --this was late in Goya's life, and was connected to several illnesses he had experienced (and the fear of relapsing) and political turmoil in Spain at the time (post-Napolean war, changing Spanish government, etc.

Trivia fact 1: Goya actually made these paintings right on the walls of the Quinta del Sordo (so-called Deaf Man's villa) where he was staying -- so I love that Apatow had Dieter also paint right on the walls.

Trivia fact 2: while Goya was living in this villa, he actually became gravely ill (again) - not by a pandemic obviously, but it's hard to not link that loosely to the COVID period. He had never intended for these 'Black Paintings' to become public; "these paintings are as close to being hermetically private as any that have ever been produced in the history of Western art" (the murals were eventually transfered to canvas by other folks once he had moved out of the villa). Switching back to The Bubble -- I love how the tragic influence of Goya's illness(es) and art/things 'made at home away from the world, not intended for an audience' (so obviously, in a bubble) has that connection to the COVID experience and how many folks were suddenly homebound, along with the burden of illness in many ways (lord knows this all did a serious number on our mental health). In the movie, Dieter and the others do not want to go into isolation again, but that solitude is what eventually led him to painting on the walls in his room. This is not a 'grand discovery' of any kind, but I got a kick out of the parellels once I read up on it - and honestly makes me appreciate the movie a bit more, haha.

Not happy about another quarantine period.

Alright, more hyperfocusing after the cut:

Some googling led me to a post from last year by @nicolethered (gifs in this post are hers), and she included screencaps of the walls of Dieter's room (during that drug scene), which I hadn't even noticed while watching the movie. Upon taking a closer look, I noticed they're outtakes from other pieces of Goya's Black Paintings! I thought that was really cool, they sure worked on the details with that set (there's one more that's shown in a different shot but I can't exactly figure out which outtake that is):

First one is a mirror image from Two Old Men Eating Soup and the second one is basically Satan aka 'The Great He-Goat' from the Witches' Sabbath painting. Which IMO makes for fucking hilarious perfection a.k.a. trivia fact 3 -- because we all know about Dieter and his little emotional support goat, LOL. Excellent connection.

Anywaaay there's more. The Bubble was shot during Feb 22, 2021 to April 16, 2021, right? Pedro has spoken about how his input in shaping Dieter was mostly regarding his outfits (the Crocs, the robe, etc). But then I suddenly remember the Talk Art interview he had done in 2018, and how he namechecks 'The Dog' by Goya - and lo, guess which painting is actually part of the 14 Black Paintings? Yeap - the dog! So I checked the podcast and he was asked, 'if you could be any painting, what painting would you be?' by Russell. Here is the painting, and below it is what he said on Talk Art:

'The Drowning Dog' by Goya

"I think… it's a Goya. Yeah, old school. I think it's called 'Dog Buried in Sand' or something like that. It's so… I remember feeling it was such a visual representation of helplessness, in such a… come on, let's all admit that helplessness is a very recurring feeling for many of us, you know what I mean? When it comes to so many things. I guess… I was in Spain, in Madrid, and I was 20. And I went to the Goya museum. What's interesting about it is that the head of the dog is really quite small and sort of adorable, it looks like a stray mutt, and the painting - if I can remember it correctly - is very rectangular. There's so much above him, like the world just seems so big. It's quite incredible, isn't it? I know it's really sad, and sort of dark, and maybe I really like enjoy perceiving myself like..." (He gets interrupted by Russell, and then continues;) "Yeah, he's certainly not dying, it's sort of - it's a moment", (then interrupts himself with;) "Maybe he's totally dying, there's no way that dog is getting out of that. That dog is SO fucked. Anyway, that's the painting that represents my life". (All three of them burst out into laughing.)

If you're still reading this - I am impressed with your dedication to my silly little post, haha. Anyway, I just thought it was so striking that there basically is a straight line from the painting he mentioned in Talk Art to what Dieter is painting in the Bubble. Makes me wonder if perhaps he - or even Russell/Robert - had any input in that part of Dieter's backstory.

It's interesting how there are certain periods that pop up over and over again in the Academy Award-winning costume designs. The 1920s are one of them, and the 18th century (as a whole) is another.

I had never seen this film before watching parts of it to make screencaps. I see why people say that every frame looks like a painting! She could have stepped right out of a Gainsborough canvas. The movie covers the period from the 1750s to the late 1780s.

Lady Lyndon wears this brown day dress in a brief scene where she comes to say goodbye to her husband before going out for the day with her children. The deep frill of lace around the collar is very attractive. But it's the hat that really draws focus, with the satin bow and ostrich feathers.

#tristampparty day 12, episode 0: high noon at july

bang, bang!! nai liking movies is such a cute little detail, (it's in the manga too!!) i don't think it gets talked about enough. he went from thinking gunslinging heroes were cool to guns being a coward's weapon...

i still can't really fully wrap my head around the higher dimension... it contains the "core" of the plants and... it's where plants pull matter and energy from...? yeah i CANNOT fathom it actually

also like. how did humans even discover how plants worked and what they could do. assuming the lore is the same as in the manga (for what lore there is in the manga...) and humans created plants. who what when where why how. humans made plants and use plants every day yet they're such a black box... uuaaaaa (steam comes out of my ears from thinking too hard)

zazie's priority lies with the planet itself and whether or not worms will be able to continue to live and thrive on it, but i wish we got to see more of what the worms need to like. actually live and survive. they have a hivemind so they can't truly "die" (i guess unless every single worm is wiped out), but what do they need to live? we see that the giant worms eat humans, but what did they eat before humans crashed on the planet? tomas? other worms? do they photosynthesize? do they need to breathe? humans use worms for food and resources, but what exactly would knives have do to the planet to make it unlivable for the worms?

the song that vash sings is... the song knives plays on his piano. in the original/98, the song that was important to vash was rem's song. here, that... may or may not be the case...? vash says the song "just comes to him," but in this scene he's forgotten rem... then again, the song isn't what helps him remember her.

there was a theory post from a while ago that posited this song is the voice, or... frequency of the plants(?) which could very well be the case. vash and knives taking that frequency and singing or playing it in a way humans can hear... rem was onto something when she called them a bridge.

i wonder how much of this scene is an actual memory. maybe vash did sing that song, and nai heard it, and they played it on the piano together. and that's why knives continues to play it in the present day.

maybe i'll go eat some rocks.

this is reminding me of... in the manga when vash escaped from the ark and knives was begging him not to go. it's... yeah, pretty much the same. different scenario, but the same.

this sequence is so gorgeous... once again i'm asking how people ever thought this anime looked bad. lmao.

BUT MY MAIN QUESTION IS THIS!!! IS THIS REALLY REM SPEAKING TO VASH HERE? we know that in trimax, ghosts kind of exist, right? like tesla appearing to the twins, wolfwood appearing to livio... is this a similar case? what's happening on the "outside" is meryl's voice reaching through to vash, right? so is this more like, meryl's presence reminds vash of rem, so this is what vash wishes he could hear from her? like is this coming from his subconscious? or... is it really the spirit of rem somehow...

i'm overthinking it. i'm overthinking it.

i wonder what rem's ghost would say to knives.

i'm obsessed with the fight that comes after. OBSESSED. screencaps don't do it justice, i love the weightiness, the camerawork, the choreography... IT'S JUST FUN TO WATCH!!!!

THE BITE HAS BEEN POSTED SO MANY TIMES BUT I LOVE IT SO MUCH IT'S SO FUNNY. outside of when they were kids, this is the most they've acted like siblings this whole show and i love it.

why are his boobs so big

and then there's the wings. the wings... and their context. manga readers know. they're a symbol of, hmm... not forgiveness, but... the first step to it, maybe. the love between them. flying to safety. supporting each other. being side-by-side. right?

they're using their wings to fight each other right now, so i'm sure the plan is to hit us with the wings again at the end for maximum emotional impact. the fact that they both have one wing each makes that extremely fucking obvious, i think. (remember in the manga vash sprouted 2 wings at first, which he couldn't sustain)

I JUST LOVE THIS SHOT. IT'S SO COOL.

it's so interesting that the angel arm comes from vash combining(?) the cube with his gun... does this mean angel arms can't manifest normally? like, do you need the cube? or does the cube just make it easier? and what about knives, can he manifest his?? like this can't be the one and only appearance of the angel arm in tristamp, right, we're gonna need it again for the fifth moon and the ark escape, right??

(assuming those events will even happen in tristamp, but fifth moon AT LEAST is like. a constant in all timelines, i feel. like how time travel stories have "nodes" that can't be changed, right? but this isn't actually that kind of story. so who knows.)

...huuuuhhhh and i just noticed vash's prosthetic arm disappears when he manifests the angel arm. umm... i'm not entire sure what that means. is it because his gate was in his left arm...?

"since when have we been so different"... kills me in so many ways, but... in episode 3 vash says that knives hasn't changed. ("since that time," he says, which i assume is referring to the flashback scene in episode 9.) and knives says right back at you. but here, vash is basically saying, who are you. you're unrecognizable to me now. that's literally what he says in the dub. and again knives says right back at you. "you haven't changed." "i could say the same of you." "who are you?" "who are you?" they're brothers. they haven't changed. they've changed so much. they know each other better than anyone else. they don't recognize each other anymore. they love each other. did they ever really know each other?

when i first watched tristamp the significance of this all was lost on me. i didn't know any context.

i didn't know that the original trigun started with july already destroyed. i didn't know vash's original bounty. i didn't catch the insurance department mention, or who eriks was, or chronica, or what it meant that the earth fleet was going to arrive, or this being numbered "episode 0"... nothing. all of it went completely over my head. oh i knew milly though. milly is forever.

but now i'm people who know. and i think orange's decision to adapt the story like this, to make it a prequel... is fucking ballsy and cool and i respect it.

that being said, i still don't understand what zazie is talking about... and how they know this. i don't understand all the scifi technobabble with chronica at the end either... what i'm assuming is that the earth forces are keeping tabs on the higher plane(??) and/or on gate readings(?) and... were alerted to what was going on that way? does "crossing over the wall of light" just mean they're using warp drive? why can't zazie talk normally.

uagh. what a fucking journey, man, and it hasn't even begun yet. glad i got to rewatch and go a little crazy. i think the fixation is beginning to fade a little bit (it's been long enough, this is how my brain cycles through things) but the brainrot never truly goes away. girl with plant twins icon gets emotional about the plant twins once again, more at 11.

I've gathered some of my thoughts about The Winchesters season finale and here's why i think it gave me some peace

(yes, this does contain a destiel interpretation, too 💚💙)

Did i want to see Cas in it? Yes.

Was i disappointed that he wasn't? Actually, no (more on that later).

But I loved it. I was so stunned as I saw it and I felt like somehow it healed some of the wounds from the spn finale... but i couldn't quite understand why.

Here's why.

We basically watched Supernatural. Jensen reopened the finale and went further with it. What we saw in The Winchesters felt like a continuation of 15x20, even if it technically happened in between the last two scenes of the finale. But we got Bobby, we got Jack. They all actually talked, in a way that felt alive and real. Jack broke his rule of no interfering, showing that he still cared for Dean (just like he had broken his own rule off screen by saving Cas from the Empty). The Winchesters wasn't a prequel, but a sequel.

Dean got his own story, got to make something for himself (instead of just waiting for Sam on a bridge), and it's something that he wanted to do. He went back to look for hope and love, for a version of his parents where they could have a real chance.

We learn love (or we don't) and how to be in a happy relationship as kids by watching our parents, and Dean was doomed that way. He never had that example, to learn how to build a relationship and let himself be loved. He never learned that. So when he gets to heaven and he has the chance, before getting on that bridge, before meeting up with his family, with Sam... and yes, with Cas (even if we haven't seen him yet), he just needs a freaking minute. He needs a little time to himself. To reconnect. To understand. To reflect on love and what it means to love and be loved.

So he does what any fond child would do... he looks up at his parents. Only his parents that are right there in heaven didn't exactly have a happy ending (or even a happy middle), so he explores further, searching for a chance, a hope, a version of his own legacy where love was possible. Because if his parents can make it... so can he.

And we see all that through his own lenses (the weird use of the camera lenses with all those flares and glow resembles the aura of Dean's drive in heaven, thinking about it in retrospect).

Dean's mission might have been the Akrida, but the reason he went looking, the real quest he was after, was hope. Hope for a happy ending. Hope for love, where said love was doomed from the start.

And it's not surprising that there were destiel parallels everywhere, because that was Dean's POV, and he's processing his own feelings. Which is something he needs to do before he sees Cas again.

And personally, I think Dean loves Cas back and he knew that before dying, but still, that doesn't mean that he's not afraid of messing it up. That he knows how to approach him, or face Cas, after all that's happened.

He may not even be doing all of this thinking consciously, but the Castiel subtext we've seen in The Winchesters, from a narrative POV, is Dean's.

We're seeing the parallels because he's seeing them, making them, it's his way of processing. Of seeing what he and Cas had, and what they could have. Looking for hope.

And, as he himself said before leaving again... i think he found it.

So i don't know how things are going to go on from here. I can't imagine how we could have Dean in a season two. I've been saying all along that The Winchesters might open the story for a SPN revival/s16, and i think it is perfectly possible that this might happen here.

The Winchesters might not have Dean anymore, becoming its own show (but still having lots of references and guest stars from Supernatural) and *as Jensen loves to say* when we get the revival, there will be the space to address Castiel's confession and give his character the importance that it needs.

It wouldn't have made sense to see Cas here in a little cameo, it wouldn't have been enough. But what we saw here, was the confirmation of Jensen reopening the finale, and his willingness to bring Dean back (as he's always stated), for whatever more he's allowed to do.

I love the way they handled it, we still got peace and hope (even if there were to be no s2), and i feel like we're all more confident that the bridge scene is not an ending, but a beginning of something more. Dean has said he's gonna go look for his family. That's not just Sam.

Of course he's gonna see Cas too. But i don't think any of us would've been satisfied to see him pop up randomly for a couple of minutes in TW, with little to no mention of what happened between them.

Also, i want to point out that this was supposed to be the midseason finale but they had to adapt it when they found out they didn't get a full season, we could've had much more (like more narrating voices as Jensen had teased) or even seeing more of Dean, instead of just seeing him in the pilot and the season finale. They even asked Misha to be there (and he refused for scheduling conflicts since he was busy filming Gotham Knights *but said he's absolutely willing to appear later*).

So i think there's still so much story to tell here and i am absolutely hopeful and trust that we will love it.

I think they did an amazing job in 13 episodes, and I can't wait to see what's next 💖

Deshiderella

So, one of the more fun sketches Murata did in his stream was the story of Deshiderella, a sketch featuring Genos as Cinderella, Sonic, Tatsumaki, and Fubuki as the Evil Stepsisters, Saitama as the handsome prince -- and a delightfully demented take on it all. All stream screencaps courtesy of @rayadraws.

Since then, we've had the Monster Association arc and the extent to which you can map the Deshiderella story to what unfolded during the arc is fascinating.

So, throughout the land, there was mass panic and consternation because a group of monsters had caused chaos and had challenged the heroes to a showdown. There's a Monster Bash to attend!

Genos couldn't go to the Monster Bash because he broke his nice new body, on the eve of the battle even. Guess you'll have to sit this one out, son!

But his Fairy God Scientist came through for him at the last minute, complete with dire warnings about time limits.

He arrived after everyone had left for the ball but when he finally set foot on the scene, boy did he steal the show!

Unfortunately, he's not good at listening to warnings and he suffered greatly: he couldn't fly, half his armor melted off, his core was unstable, and there were still many strong monsters to fight. Nevertheless, he pressed on, even winning over the evil stepsisters *cough* I mean, forging a better relationship with both the Psychic Sisters.

Despite the setbacks, he captured the heart of the most noble Saitama, and for a moment, everything was just right.

And just like a Cinderella story, it is precisely when everything looks like it'll turn out all right after all that true horror descends. 'Won't you join me in my dance of death?' seems horribly prescient.

Fortunately, Saitama was able to work a miracle and make things right again.

With even the evil doer saved and admonished to do no wrong, all seems well as the two of them watch the sun rise together.

The only part of Murata's tale still missing is the chase scene. Heh! I'm sure we'll see what he was alluding to shortly! I guess Genos is not letting go of his quest to reach where Saitama is.

Thoughts on The Bad Batch Episode 10 - Identity Crisis - A Discussion Post

I expected almost nothing that happened in this episode, I was bewildered. Let's return back to the special episode centered around our dear Emerie.

The episode opens in a town market, where a mom (or dad? I'm not sure) and their baby are out shopping. The baby lost its toy for a few seconds and started freaking out. Once it used the Force to throw a plant pot to try and find its toy, I started freaking out because this kid is going to eventually be taken by the Empire sadly. Everyone around saw, and the mom quickly hurried away with her baby after finding its toy. One individual who saw the scene ends up contacting a bounty hunter.

Before I get back to the episode, can I just say how pretty Mount Tantiss is? It's such a dark place inside, but its exterior landscape is stunning. When it was shown during an episode when it was sunny on the planet it is on, it looked even more beautiful.

Okay, back to the episode. Once the plot navigates back to Mount Tantiss, we see Hemlock in front of a giant cylinder that is hiding something. He walks out of the same room that CX-2 had been standing in front of behind Crosshair back in Episode 3, and I felt like whoever the CX clone is is the one being kept in there. But maybe we'll see.

Emerie comes by with Commander Scorch (which I am so happy that he got name dropped this episode) and tells Hemlock that Project Necromancer's progress is slowing down. She expresses a desire to take Nala Se's place and oversee the project, which Hemlock decides to agree to after consideration.

Hemlock takes Emerie to the same place he went with Nala Se earlier in the season, ready to show Emerie the vault. I was expecting this dark room with red lighting that was full of cylinders carrying specimen for experiments, but I wasn't fully ready for a brightly lit room that has a few little children given some games to keep them company. It's the Clone Wars pain all over again when they were taking Force-sensitive kids.

Emerie asks, "Why children?" I felt like her eyes are now starting to very slowly open up to the Empire's horrors, but it will take her a long while, especially when she was raised by Hemlock and feels like everything around her is right.

One of the little girls comes up to Emerie and says she likes her glasses, and Emerie wants to connect with her, which Hemlock restricts her from doing. One of the kids closely watches Hemlock input a code using his datapad to open up a door, and makes sure that he remembers what to do, finding a way to escape. All of the kids look so tired and sad while playing with the games that they were given, it really breaks my heart.

It's not a scene where a Force-sensitive kid is taken by a bounty hunter without Cad Bane, who finally shows up for his cameo. He, along with his droid Todo, tests the baby from earlier for its M-count and takes them to drop off to the Empire.

Emerie goes to see Eva, the little girl who had spoken to her earlier. The kids continue to have their blood tested regularly, and Eva enjoys talking to Emerie. She asks about Nala Se and where she has been, as Emerie tells her that Nala Se is no longer in charge of the project. Eva had asked Nala Se to help her find out when she'll be going home, and Emerie says that she'll try to look into it.

Going to see Jax next, he manages to steal Emerie's datapad from her and make a run to the same spot where he had seen Hemlock input some code using his datapad. The others around manage to lock down the room before Jax could get access and escape. Jax just wants to go home and tries to sprint from the troopers that show up, but Scorch manages to stun him. Emerie did not want Scorch to stun him, but he was following orders.

We got to know the names of two of the kids, but I wonder who this little sweetie in the room is. I wanna give her a hug; I want to give all of the kids a hug.

Emerie goes to visit Nala Se, who finds out that Emerie has taken her place and has seen the kids. Emerie expresses what she's feeling about the kids, as they're children just like she was. She asks Nala Se, "Was your plan to discard them too?" From this, I'm guessing that Emerie was likely neglected by Nala Se, as Omega was the female clone that Nala Se kept more close to her. Based on my guess, Emerie was likely cast aside by the Kaminoans, which is probably why she trusts Hemlock because he took her in and Emerie feels more important rather than a girl who was neglected by the people who created her. Emerie feels that she can't do anything about the kids, but Nala Se tells her that she probably could. I'm really curious as to what Emerie will end up doing in the next episodes.

Emerie bumps into Hemlock and Scorch after leaving Nala Se, who tells her that a new specimen will be coming today. Emerie wishes to go with Scorch to pick up the specimen, but Hemlock becomes reluctant and tells her no. It's likely that Emerie hasn't been outside Mount Tantiss without him, so he doesn't want her going alone, even if she's with soldiers. When a trooper arrives and tells Hemlock that Tarkin wants to speak with him, he leaves and lets Emerie do whatever she wants.

Tarkin talks to Hemlock about the amount of money that is being used for Project Necromancer, as he wishes to know why they need so much. Hemlock refuses to tell anything about the project to Tarkin, as all the details are classified. I was surprised that even Tarkin was kept out of this project, and this is the Emperor's personal project. Tarkin could likely try to do the same that happened with Thrawn's TIE Defender project and try to shut Project Necromancer down so all of the money they have can be used for the Death Star.

Also, is it just me, or did Hemlock seem more expressive in this scene? I don't know how to explain this, but it's what was going on in my mind when I first saw the episode. Normally, his voice sounds more lower and quieter (which is literally what makes him sound so scary), but while he was talking to Tarkin, he sounded anxious and his voice sounded a little more louder. I don't know, it's hard to explain. Would love to hear your thoughts.

Hemlock contacts CX-2, who tells him that he has received some intel from a Trandoshan-who is likely Cid. If this clone really is Tech, that would be crazy since he possibly threatened her for the intel. Hemlock seems to grow frustrated and tells CX-2 not to return without Omega.

Meanwhile, Emerie goes with Scorch to retrieve the specimen from Cad Bane. When Emerie sees the little baby, her eyes grow wide, and Cad Bane notices her discomfort. He gets paid and the troopers take the baby, while Emerie is left with her thoughts.

While checking up on the kids and before lights go out, Emerie finds out that Jax was put into a two-day isolation as punishment for trying to escape, and Eva is upset about it. Emerie tries to be gentle with her, but all Eva wants is to just go home.

Emerie sits near the blood circle machine, continuing to oversee it. She sits in silence, going through each kid's file. Omega comes up, and I can tell that she misses her.

While thinking of Omega, she is reminded of the straw Lula that Omega had made, and Emerie had kept it with her in secret. She leaves it with Eva, who discovers it the next morning. Eva picks up the straw Lula and loves her, and Emerie watches with a proud smile. She looks so confident here; I keep wondering what her role will be in the next episodes, and I hope she gets out of here as soon as possible too.

I love how Lula has become symbolized here, as she started with being a comfort toy for Wrecker and later on Omega, and now Lula has begun to comfort other kids as well that are going through pain.

It'll take a while for Emerie to open her eyes and realize everything around her, but it's starting and she'll soon likely rebel. I loved this episode and the focus it gave Emerie. I'm looking forward to seeing more of her in the next 4 episodes.

this one is thanks to a post by @thegroovyfool because she is very much correct - we do not talk about aziraphale's "i need you" enough.

so once again, with a deep breath and a sigh, welcome back to alex's unhinged meta corner, where i tear apart the confession scene frame by frame. i'm gonna say, watching this particular clip over and over and focusing on aziraphale's face almost took me out.

let's get into it.

first, how about a little look at our starting point. (any blurry screencaps are due to a LOT of movement on michael's part rip)

crowley is very pointedly facing away from him, he turned after aziraphale said "we can be together - angels!", presumably because being offered exactly what he wants in the one way he cannot have it fried his brain, cause besties it surely fried mine.

aziraphale on the other hand looks openly desperate, which is why he says "i need you." more on that later. let's have a look at how he says it, because michael "microexpressions" sheen is putting in the work.

to me, he seems close to tears, his eyes are glistening in that specific "i'm about to cry my eyes out" way i know from looking in the mirror while crying

he is trying to get crowley to listen to him and to turn around. he wants crowley to face him, which is something most people tend to want during an argument. talking to someone who is not looking at you tends to make someone frustrated and like they're not hearing you/do not care about what you have to say.

aziraphale looks close to despair, his i need you is a plea to crowley to come with him. he is opening himself up not just emotionally but physically, too.

he slightly leans forward, his arms are raised and seem to both slightly grasp for crowley and point towards his chest/heart for emphasis. the pure pain visible on his face knocks the air out of me every single time i look at it.

aziraphale is admitting to needing him, something he has never done before, hell, he has told him the exact opposite on numerous occasions. i don't need you. and while they both knew it was a) a lie and b) a way for him to deal with his conflicting emotional standpoints and cognitive dissonance, it still hurt crowley every. single time.

crowley was there for him no matter what, he knows aziraphale needs him but he came back and remained at his side even when he was pushed away and more or less openly insulted. he endured it all.

aziraphale saying i need you now is pretty much a slap in the face but also what crowley needs to hear. as with everything that happens during the entire conversation, the timing is fucked up and they're talking past each other.

in my opinion, that is why crowley does not react.

only when aziraphale turns spiteful and starts questioning his understanding (aka calling him stupid without outright saying it) does he re-enter the conversation.

aziraphale, however, is upset. now, i will put on my tinhat for just a second and turn up the insanity because there are two more things i want to talk about.

first, the little stutter at the beginning.

"i ngk - i need you."

my question is - why? why does he stumble over these words in particular when it does not happen with any other sentence? the only other time is right after crowley walks away with his "good luck", he stumbles over crowley's name.

so, in short, it happens when he is either caught off-guard or saying something incredible emotional.

and this, everyone, is where i go unhinged in my interpretation.

what if he initially did not want to say "i need you?" what if he was so caught up in getting crowley to stay/come with him that he did not think and almost confessed another three word sentence?

what if he was about to say "i love you" but stopped himself because no, that's too direct, they don't do that, they can't do that. it goes against EVERYTHING they have silently build over the last six thousand years. so he chokes on it. he chokes on it and instead he says "i need you" because it means the same thing.

I'm really going to miss SWM despite the sad ending. The actors really did a great job with what they had and could do. I knew the accident was going to hurt me, and that it would be a OE, but I did not expect it to be more like a BE. More about that later. At least we got a whole episode of happy boys before all the shit hit the fan.

This scene really touched me. Su Yu pushes Wu Bi to achieve his dreams and is there to support him all the way. We also get another hint of what Wu Bi's time capsule wish is. My guess is that he wished for he, Su Yu and Doudou to always be together. Normally it's Wu Bi who is always saying he doesn't want to be separated from Su Yu, but this time, it's Su Yu telling Wu Bi not to leave him, pulling on Wu Bi's heartstrings. 🥹

Why does Wu Bi have a picture of his and Su Yu's epic bike ride framed? Did his mother draw that? Did he get the idea from her? Wu Bi, I have so many questions...

Su Yu wrote a wish card for Wu Bi too. 🥹 I am not ok. 😭

Wu Bi is so completely smitten with Su Yu. It's all heart eyes, all the time. They are so cute. Was this the reward Su Yu was talking about? I thought it would be something 🔞, but taking Wu Bi on a date might motivate him even more. I mean what kind of equestrian center has prince charming equestrian outfits? 🤭 I think they look great, but this totally looks like a date (Doudou is just there to make it look less gay).

Psycho alert! 🚨 Mo Yi was hella creepy here. I was a bit scared he would actually hurt Su Yu. You can feel all the resentment he has for Su Yu. First his ex-gf wanted to be with Su Yu rather than him. Second, Wu Bi has chosen Su Yu over him and is acting like a little bitch towards him. Not defending him, but I honestly don't think Mo Yi would have felt such hatred and resentment if Wu Bi hadn't started being really rude and bratty towards him after falling in love with Su Yu.

The ultimate sacrifice. 😭 Wu Bi knew there was no way to stop the car safely so he chose to protect Su Yu by crashing the car on the driver's side. Even though I knew the accident was going to happen, it still hurt so much. Wu Bi will always protect Su Yu no matter what. I read some comments scolding Su Yu for sleeping even though he knew something was wrong with the car. My interpretation is that Su Yu wasn't sleeping, he was worried too, but he trusted Wu Bi completely, and Wu Bi told him to rest because he can handle it, so he did. The level of trust and confidence you need to have in your partner for that is just...

I didn't notice this the first time watching because I was too busy wailing, but Wu Bi hugged Su Yu to protect him. FUCK. 😭😭😭😭 For all the unreasonable jealousy and temper tantrums, Wu Bi really is the best boy.

This is so painful, I can't screencap bloody Wu Bi anymore. It killed me that Wu Bi woke up for a second to stare into Su Yu's eyes when Doudou called to complete their OT3, only to fall into a comma again.

Argh this ending! Is Wu Bi alive or dead? I didn't notice that the doctor nods a little when speaking to Su Yu the first time around. Doctors usually only nod when the operation was successful, so I guess Wu Bi is alive but what about the empty house? Only Wu Bi's stuff is still there, meaning that everyone left him? How is this not a BE? 😭

Of course this makes sense as a set up for a season 2 but I feel like they still could have given us a conclusion. Something like Wu Bi lives, but Su Yu left because he knew Mo Yi was crazy and he wanted to protect Wu Bi. Then the new season would be about how the boys find their way back to each other. It wasn't necessary to leave viewers hanging and heartbroken. 😢 And with 24 episodes of 30+ minutes runtime, I felt the team had enough time to tell a complete story. It shouldn't matter that book 1 of the novel ended like the series because the drama should stand on its own outside of the novel. Besides, wouldn't it have been safer just to film the whole thing at once to avoid the risk of not being allowed to film part 2?

There's a lot of doubt that S2 will actually happen, but someone asked Mo Yi's actor if there will be a 2nd season and he said that there should be. I'm not going to get my hopes up too much before there is official news that everyone is shooting again to spare myself any disappointment, but of course I am hoping for a second season. In the meantime, I hope cjd will release the uncut version of the series that she teased about before. I really do love this series so much even though I was disappointed with the ending. I'll have to treat SWM like MODC and skip the end. SWM only has 22 episodes. Yup. 🤡

Hey. Does Hunter actually know for sure he's Caleb's Grimwalker. I just scrubbed through hollow mind, because it occurred to me that when I first watched it, I didn't pick up anything from the background photos about the Caleb and Philip backstory, too much was happening to pay attention to them. It was only afterward when a friend sent me screencaps of all of them and a breakdown that I was like ohhhh shit. So like. No way hunter and Luz picked that stuff up. They were way busier with the memories they DID see. So like Luz found out Belos was Philip there. Belos says hunter looks the most like him. In the memory with the collector Belos says "he always betrays me" in regards to the Grimwalkers. But do they.... KNOW what a Grimwalker is? Like. What I mean is. Do they actually realize that he is a clone and not just like some general homonculus. Like that he is created based on a specific person. We see later hunter reading about Grimwalkers at hexside but it's unclear how much info is in those books. It's called "the legend of the Grimwalker" so how accurate is it? Then Belos does call hunter Caleb during kings tide but. Well. He kind of roared it. And usually I would default to authorial intent, but it was so unclear what he said that instead of reading "Caleb" the subtitles read "kill him." And then finally they see the story during the Halloween hayride. So they have the basic story. And they have that statue. And whoever it said in the book the brothers wittebane that hunter is reading. IMHO, neither the statue nor the Halloween drawings they see really look enough like hunter to be strictly confirmation. From everything up to here it looks like maybe... All he actually has is suspicion??? Which would explain why he says in thanks to them "that I might be a clone of a witch hunter" which, I always found the 'might' in that sentence strange. Now flapjack obviously knew Caleb whether he was Evelyn or Caleb's palisman, but 1. He is a bird and not all THAT smart 2. He is a secretive little goblin apparently 3. Would HE have even KNOWN about the Grimwalker thing????

A few points on the other side, obviously hunter had the mirror scene but again, does he KNOW he's Caleb's clone or does he just think he might be and is scared of that potential? Then, Luz says "you did it to him first" after Belos says "Caleb, you would stab me in the back?" Which is probably solid confirmation, but also, hunter was dead at the time so he definitely didn't hear that, and Luz and him obviously did not talk about it until at least after Belos died. A lot was going on. How long would it be until Luz was like oh shit I need to tell Hunter about that. Now Luz says "you did it to him first" which obviously is very pointed, but also- damn hang on all this time I thought he stabbed him in the heart, but I guess we don't actually know where he stabbed him specifically. And to me at the time, and this is purely interpretation, it sounded less like Luz saying "you literally stabbed Caleb, his ortet, in the back first" and more "you betrayed hunter first" and the point is that it means something more to Belos than it does to Luz, that she has said something that unintentionally had a greater affect than she realized it would. Lastly is gus's mindcrush, but again, we have no idea how much he ACTUALLY knows from that, but we know he knows what a Grimwalker is, he know he knows hunter is one, and I think we can safely say that he knows a Grimwalker is a clone and hunter is cloned from caleb because he grabs the memory photo of the wittebane brothers statues when he says he's known hunter was a Grimwalker for three months. Again, hunter not in the room at present, obviously they are gonna talk about this eventually but certainly not until after Belos is killed.

Belos does say "goodbye Evelyn" when he crushes flapjack, but we as viewers can't even agree on if that means flapjack was Caleb's palisman or Evelyn's, so honestly I don't know if it would even process what the hell he was talking about when he did that. We also don't have any indication one way or another if Belos and hunter had any kind of Brain Communication during the possession. Obviously hunter had some awareness because he broke when flapjack was killed. But the extent of what he remembers from being possessed and if like he could hear any of Belos's thoughts at the time is unclear.

Post Belos death I think it's safe to say hunter learns for sure hes Caleb's Grimwalker via Gus at minimum. But until then... DOES he know?

Questions:

1. At what point does hunter realize/become aware that a Grimwalker is a clone?

2. At what point does hunter realize/become CERTAIN that he is cloned specifically from Caleb wittebane?

3. Do any of the cast ever ACTUALLY find out that Philip killed Caleb?

4. Do any of them realize, if they presume Philip did kill Caleb, that Evelyn was not also killed?

5. When Luz said you did it to him first did she actually know what she was saying?

6. Does FLAPJACK ever actually realize Hunter is a clone of Caleb? Hunter looks like him sure, but not identically, and he's so much younger. And like. Why would it even occur to you this random kid is a clone of someone you knew 400 years ago. He was not present in Belos's mindscape. Is the reason that flapjack doesn't tell Hunter shit about Caleb and Evelyn and all that because he legitimately does not know this part. I don't think flapjack could have realized this until after hollow mind at least- Luz obviously told hunter about Philip and what she knew about him, and certainly flapjack must have been able to put together Philip = Philip at that point, and probably HE knew Evelyn survived. Does he think that Hunter is a clone of Caleb? At any point does he think hunter is a descendant of Evelyn's child? Does he ever actually TELL hunter anything about the wittebane brothers story, and if not, is he hiding that information intentionally? Or has he simply not put all the pieces together, possibly because he is a bird?
