To you, Natasha Romanoff is the most beautiful woman to ever walk the earth.
You’ve been wanting to tell her for months that you like her. Ever since you joined the team you’ve had feelings for her. But you can’t get a read on her.
You have no idea if she has feelings for you too. Sometimes it feels like she’s flirting with you but then you see or hear her act the same way with one of the guys and you brush it off as nothing.
This weekend Clint invited everyone to his farm to enjoy a quick getaway and clear your heads. Missions hadn’t been easy lately, so you all needed the reprieve.
When you arrive, Natasha walks in the house first. She’s clearly very comfortable here.
“Welcome!” Laura says to everyone. “Come on in. Make yourselves at home!”
“Thank you for having us, Mrs. Barton,” you say when you greet her.
“Oh please, called me Laura,” she says. Then she addresses everyone, “We don’t have enough rooms so you’ll have to share. Nat, can y/n sleep with you?”
You try not to have a visceral reaction to the idea. You hold your breath as you await her reply.
“Sure,” Nat simply says. She turns to you, “I’ll show you the way.”
You follow her up the stairs where you run across a couple of kids.
“Auntie Nat?” A girl asks, in shock of seeing Nat.
“Hey malyshka,” Natasha replies. She brings the girl in for a hug. “Lila, this is y/n. Hopefully you won’t discover you like her more than you like me.”
You smile and wave to Lila. She returns the smile before running off downstairs.
Nat takes you down the hallway and to what appears to be her bedroom when she stays here. There are photos of the Barton family and Nat on the dresser. You admire how happy she looks here.
“I always sleep on the door side, but we’ll do whatever you feel comfortable with,” Nat says.
“Oh, either side works for me.”
Nat nods. You set your bag down on the bed and unpack a few things. Natasha moves around the room, gathering a few of her own things.
You both go back downstairs for the rest of the evening. Nothing too eventful happens. Everyone makes plans to spend time outside tomorrow.
Natasha is first to the bedroom. She slips into the bed casually. You try to do the same but fail miserably at not looking nervous.
“I don’t bite, you know,” Nat says teasingly.
“Right,” you respond too quickly. “I just- sorry.”
“Relax, y/n,” she says. You settle on your side of the bed. “Goodnight.”
“Night, Natasha.”
You both drift off into a peaceful sleep. You first, and then Natasha.
At some point during the night, you end up snuggling close to Natasha. She wakes up to the feeling of your arm draping over her. But she doesn’t mind it. Actually, she likes it.
When you wake up in the morning, you find yourself still nestled in her arms.
“Oh, I’m sorry,” you say, trying to move off of her.
“Hey, it’s fine,” Nat says, only tightening her grip a bit before letting you loose. “So, you’re a cuddler, huh?”
You look away shyly and Nat just smirks. Now you definitely can’t believe you slept next to Natasha and accidentally snuggled with her all night. She doesn’t say anything else about it until you go downstairs for the day.
“Good morning!” Laura greets. She’s pulling fresh biscuits from the oven. “How did you sleep?”
“Good,” you answer briefly.
“She sure was cozy,” Nat interjects. It’s just Laura in the room with you two, but you still try to hold back a blush.
“Mhm, I’m sure,” Laura replies. Somehow you’re sure she knows the way you feel about Nat and how Nat feels about you.
Soon, the boys come tumbling into the kitchen. You all go outside to do your respective chosen activities. Steve promised to show you how to chop wood while Nat and Clint run off to the barn to build a new shelter for some of the animals.
“So, what’s the deal with you and Romanoff?” Steve asks after a few minutes of chopping the wood.
“Oh, is there- is there a me and Romanoff?”
“Is there not?” He asks genuinely. “I’m sorry. I just thought that you two- nevermind.”
“It’s okay,” you reply, shrugging.
It does leave you wondering if the other members of the team think something is happening there too. You try not to think about it too much as you continue to work outside. The fresh air does wonders for you.
Steve asks you to go grab the axe sharpening block from the barn, so you walk to the structure. When you get there, you catch sight of something that makes your jaw practically drop to the ground.
Natasha is wearing only a blank tank top and shorts are she uses a power drill to build a wooden structure. Sweat drips down her neck and chest as she expertly uses the tool.
You swear she catches the sight of you out of the corner of her eye, but she continues on with her drilling. She lifts heavy pieces of wood with ease. You can’t stop staring.
Nat lifts her tank top up to wipe the sweat from her face. You see her ab happy stomach and the sports bra that’s keeping the rest of her skin covered.
“Enjoying the view?” Nat says aloud. You’ve definitely been caught now.
“Oh, I was just-“ you start, but there’s no use. You were doing exactly that. “My bad.”
“Don’t apologize,” Nat says. “Come on in, what did you need?”
“We needed the axe sharpener block thing?”
“Is that a question?”
“Well, I don’t know what it is so yes?”
Nat chuckles. She turns to look at the shelf behind her for the tool you need. Her backside somehow looks just as good as her front.
“Here you go,” Nat says. She hands you the block. You are standing close to her now. “The real fun is happening in there though. I can show you how to use this.”
She gestures to the drill in her left hand, pressing her finger on the trigger to make it whir. You shouldn’t be so intrigued by it. Or by her for that matter. But you are.
“Maybe tomorrow you can show me?” You ask her.
“How about tonight?” Nat asks. Her voice drops an octave. You pray she means what you think she means.
You swallow shyly and Nat shoots you a smile. Slowly, you leave her there and go back to Steve. He doesn’t mention how long it took you to get the tool, thank goodness.
Later that day, you all grill out burgers and hotdogs. Clint tries to show off his grilling skills, but the team just gives him a hard time saying that it’s not all that hard anyways.
By the time evening comes, everyone’s sitting around a campfire. Natasha sits across from you. She glances at her phone and then to you as a way of alerting you to look at your phone.
The text reads: Meet me in the barn. 10 minutes.
You nod in her direction to acknowledge you got the message. The minutes pass by and you both leave to go to the barn.
When you get inside, Nat is already over by the wood she was working with earlier.
“Come on, I’ll show you,” Nat says.
“Okay,” you agree. You stand next to her.
“First things first, always know your surroundings,” Nat says.
She abruptly places her hands on your hips. She easily moves you to the right and left to observe your surroundings. Your heart stops when she reaches around you and her face is mere inches from yours.
She steps back and has a pair of clear glasses in her hand.
“And wear safety glasses,” she says. She places them on your face. You’re sure you look like an absolute fool. “Cute.”
“You didn’t wear these yesterday,” comes your reply.
“That’s because I’m an expert,” Nat says. She surprises you by pinching your cheeks. “You’ll get there, sweetheart.”
Natasha grabs the drill and ushers you to move closer to the wood with her. She takes you through step by step on how to use the power tool.
“Now, you can try,” Nat says.
“Okay,” you reply. You feel a little nervous about trying it. Nat assures you that you can’t mess it up.
You try to focus even with Nat being so close to you. For the first time using a drill, you don’t do terribly.
“Nice job, y/n,” Nat says. “But you’ll want to apply more pressure. Let me help you, sweetheart.”
Natasha places her hand on yours and pushes down on the drill. You pull the trigger and drill the screw into the wood. Her hot breath is on your neck.
You smile at your success and turn just enough to look at Nat. She’s just inches from you.
“Should we take this inside?” Nat asks. Her eyes glance to your lips and back up to your eyes. She brings her other hand to your cheek and brushes the back of it against it.
“Are you- um- yes?”
“Yes? Or yes.”
“The second one,” you say. Natasha smirks at you.
You leave the drill and safety glasses behind. Natasha holds your hand as she walks you to the house. You slip upstairs easily and she closes her bedroom door behind her.
“I’ve had my eye on you for a while,” Natasha says.
“Really?” You ask innocently.
“Really, detka. Come here,” she says, bringing you to the bed with her.
You sit next to her and she kisses you softly. It’s like floating on a cloud. You didn’t think she would be this gentle. But you’re loving it.
“May I?” Nat asks, gesturing to your shirt. You nod. She lifts the material over your head. “Beautiful.”
You feel sure you’re blushing at her words and the way her eyes rake over your body.
“Can I- um?” You pull at her tank top hem.
“Yes, baby,” Natasha says. “You can do anything to me.”
You lift the thin material over her head. Your heart stops at her beauty. You immediately lean forward and take her nipple into your mouth. It surprises Natasha how intentional you are being.
“Fuck, baby.”
“Is this okay?” You ask, pulling away a bit. Nat pulls your head back to her breasts. You’ll take that as a yes.
Natasha fumbles with your pants. She gets them unbuttoned but grumbles in frustration when she can’t get them off. You chuckle against her.
“Okay, hold on,” Nat says. She stands up and pulls her own pants down before grabbing you by the hips and pulling you up too.
Natasha takes your pants off with ease this time and slips them down your legs along with your underwear. She grins and drops to her knees. It doesn’t take her long to get to work licking and sucking at your pussy.
“Oh my god,” you moan out.
“You taste so good, baby. All for me,” Nat says.
“Fuck.”
You feel close to coming embarrassingly quickly but Natasha is proud of her work.
“Come for me, y/n,” she says. Her voice drips with sex.
“Fuck, Natasha!”
You come hard against her tongue. She licks you clean and stands back up. She kisses you deeply. It’s the most on fire you have ever felt.
“I want to taste you,” you tell Nat.
“Your wish is my command,” Nat says. She lays on the bed and you crawl over her body.
“So beautiful,” you say as you kiss from between her breasts down to her hips.
“You’re not so shy now are you?” Nat asks. You answer by diving into her wet pussy.
Her folds are slick and she’s ready for you. You lick and suck her, cherishing every noise she makes.
“Fuck, baby,” Nat says. “I’m going to come.”
“Come for me, Natasha.”
She does just that. You relish in the sounds she makes. You move back up her body and lay next to her.
“So, all of those times I thought you were flirting with me you actually were?” You break the silence.
Nat chuckles. “Yes, y/n. I’ve been hinting at it for months. I’m glad we finally got on the same page.”
She looks at you through her long eyelashes. You rest your head on her shoulder.
“I’ve always liked you, Natasha,” you say. “Do you think the team noticed we left?”
“Nah,” Nat says. “Even if they did, I don’t care. I have you.”
“You sure do.”
You snuggle further into Natasha. She holds you close as you lay together and talk for hours.

what would each of the boys do if they were having trouble getting you out of subspace?
oh I love this one actually!!
rafe wouldn’t be expecting it, normally all it takes to bring you out is a bit of rocking in his arms and some reassurance. so when he’s been doing that for nearly twenty minutes he starts to get concerned “you with me baby?” he cranes his neck down to look at you with furrowed eyebrows. all you can do is murmur out a little ‘daddy’ before trying to burrow into his chest again.
he would get you up and take you into the bath, something he normally waits until the morning after to do. he’d just do his best to coax you out, feeling a bit helpless as you paw at him and try desperately to get more. he’d just gently correct your words and actions, knowing that if he were to be rough with you it would just make you worse.
eventually he gets you out, rubbing you back as you murmur sleepily “don’t do that again— was fuckin’ scarin’ me.” he would chastise gently before letting you fall asleep.
john b would know exactly what to do, it’s not his first rodeo. he knows you’re in pretty deep, just by the way you’re holding yourself. he picks you up and rocks you as he carries you into the living room, he does this to get you into a setting that’s less intimate then the bedroom, so as to make it easier to come out of it.
he puts on a show and grabs some snacks, all while still holding you and soothing you. he’d ask you small questions to try and get you more engaged. maybe pointing out the different fruit there is in the fridge and saying a little “you want the strawberries? no? or the apple?” you’d just rub your eyes and point to the fruit of your choosing “that one daddy,” you murmur and he clicks his tongue, “uh uh— not daddy anymore sweetie, just johnbee. can you say that?” and all you do is shake your head because you don’t want to :(
he definitely does his best to hold a conversation with you to try and get you thinking, and he repeatedly verbalises what he’s doing and why he’s doing it. “just wanna go sleep daddy,” you whine, and he just rubs your back and kisses your forehead, “can’t go to sleep all subby like this baby, s’not good for you.”
lots of kisses and praise when you do come out of it <3 cause he knows you didn’t want to. “good job baby, ‘m proud of you.”
jj would be surprised at first, you barely ever go into subspace with him, and even when you do it’s pretty easy to get out of it.
I feel like it would take him a few minutes to notice, when he does he just assumes it’s like other instances and comes over to hold you, “hey— sorry baby, m’right here. you think you can come back to me?” he starts to worry a bit when it’s been a while and you’re still not coming back to him.
“sweetie,” he’d sigh, just cradling you against his chest and holding you tight to stop you from getting handsy. “you’ve had enough now, you need to use that big girl head for me again please.”
it takes him a long time to get you out, he doesn’t really know of anything to do apart from a lot of coaxing. when he does you’re both exhausted but he forces you to get up and have a shower just to make sure your head is clear before bed.

Chapter 31: Uh-Oh.
Gaz came home early.
Some stuff in his mission that was, according to John 'above his paygrade'.
He wasn't particularly happy about it, mentioned to Johnny over the phone how it was 'bullshit', that it wasn't fair he didn't get to know.
Not that you'd know. Johnny knew. But you sure as hell didn't.
Because, as usual, you got home from work on Tuesday, and there was a wild Kyle Garrick in your apartment, sat shoulder-to-shoulder, knee-to-knee with Johnny on the sofa.
"Hi?" You greeted once you passed the door, carrying a couple bags of goods from the shop.
"Hi, bonnie!" Johnny greeted. "Look who's here!" He gestured at Kyle with grandeur.
"Hi, love!" Kyle greeted, all smiley and beautiful as only he can be.
"Are you okay? Did you get hurt again? Dear God, tell me you didn't get hurt!" You began to say immediately, as he got up from the couch, rounding it to come greet you.
"You should've warned me you'd come, I would've bought more things to make dinner, now I'm not gonna have enough for you and-" You ranted.
He shut you up, however, by cradling your face in his hands and dropping a kiss onto your lips, causing you to hum and soften, your eyes closing.
It was a slow kiss, one that told you just how much he missed you, his thumbs caressing your cheeks on either side, his nose brushing your cheek as his warm lips and wet tongue carefully probed at your mouth.
When he pulled back, he smiled at you. "It's alright. I'm alright. Don't worry so much." He murmured, then, his hands slid down and grabbed one of the bags off you, helping you take the shopping to the kitchen.
Having a second man to play house with was somehow better and worse.
There was also less space. Another part of your closet or your drawers full of male clothes, extra counter space in the bathroom taken up by his skincare and cologne, extra bath products in the shower.
There were more snacks in your pantry, protein bars and shakes and the like, energy drinks, another seat at the dinner table taken up by another laptop and notebook and pen, another set of shoes to trip on at the entrance.
The flat was still always clean, and there was always someone to greet you once you got home, sometimes dinner would already be ready.
There was always someone to cuddle to or be cuddled by, someone rutting into you and stealing greedy kisses and groping handfuls of your body...
Nothing to complain about, not really.
On Saturday, you crawled away from Johnny's embrace, padding around the flat, seeking food and a drink.
Kyle was in the kitchen when you came in, shirtless as usual, one of your bath towels falling off his hip, his skin glistening. You've noticed you tend to find Kyle right out of the shower often.
"Morning, lovie..." He greeted you as you approached, kissing your forehead and wrapping an arm around your waist.
"Hi..." You murmured and leaned into him, setting your chin right on his shoulder, feeling a bit of the dampness of his skin, and smelling the scent of his body wash and shampoo. Coconut.
"How are you feeling?" He murmured as he glanced at you, brown eyes twinkling to the sight of what was, indubitably messy hair and a sleepy face.
Your body was deliciously sore, your jaw too, though that one was more uncomfortable. A consequence of a night well spent, pressed between the two of them... They were younger than John and Simon, had more stamina... they were more insatiable.
"Good..." You ended up saying with a chuckle, which earned you a smirk too.
"Good enough to wanna go out with me?" He asked you with a cocked brow.
"Out where?" You asked him, eyebrows raising in intrigue.
"I have plans for the two of us this afternoon... as long as you're not too tired for them." He explained.
"Not going to make me do something physical, are you?" You quipped, causing him to chuckle, your jaw trembling from the contact between his pec and you head.
"No... Not after last night. Need a chill day myself." He winked at you.

As it turns out, Johnny isn't the only artist in your little polycule. (Can you even call it that?)
At 2 P.M., you found yourself in a little pottery studio-café thing that Kyle had, apparently, scouted out in Birmingham, one of the times he went home.
It was not something you expected, finding yourself walking in hand in hand with him, fingers interlaced, being given a smock and being given a lump of clay, a wheel, and having a very eccentric but adorable lady guide you through the steps of making small pinch pots, and your final piece, a mug.
After over an hour of that, you were allowed to wash your hands off, your projects (a very wonky mug made by you, and a surprisingly good mug made by Kyle) going to be put in the kiln, with a promise from the pottery instructor that they'll come out in the next day or so and that everyone could come back to get them, if they so wished.
Then, you and Kyled moved to a little table in the painting station where you could grab a finished piece of your own, a standard one, that is, and paint it to your heart's content.
You sat beside Kyle after he went and got you both drinks and a little snack each, each one of you busy painting your little projects. You picked a small plate and Kyle picked a mug, just like the ones you had been trying (and failing, mind you) to throw beforehand.
You glanced over at Kyle who was extremely focused on what he was doing, using the tiniest brush you've ever seen to dot small petals on the flower design he had chosen for his mug.
"That looks really cute... Is that cherry blossom?" You asked as you set your chin on his arm, his left one, not the one he was using to paint.
"Mhm... My attempt at it, anyway." He replied as he glanced over at your plate. "Polka dots?" He asks with a playful smile on his lips, which causes you to shrug.
"I didn't know what I wanted to paint. Flowers are overdone... No offense-" You chuckled.
"None taken." He replied and winked at you before leaning over and grabbing his paper cup, sipping his tea through the opening on the lid.
"And everything else would be too difficult. I'm in the mood to just draw little dots all over." You remarked with another shrug.
"Well, I like your dots." He told you and, very slowly, tapped the tip of your nose with his forefinger.
You felt something wet and sticky on the tip of your nose and you knew, immediately, that he had just painted your nose. You didn't even notice him dipping his finger in his paint palette beforehand.
You grabbed your phone and used the locked screen as a mirror to spot the bright pink dot of paint on your skin.
Turning to your boyfriend, you squinted at him. "Kyle Garrick, do you want to start a war you will not win?" You murmured as you pointed your paintbrush at him like a teacher with a ruler.
"No, no, never." Kyle murmured, raising his hands in surrender, though he had the biggest grin on his lips, and a shine in his brown eyes.
"That's what I thought." You added before you turned away to resume your painting.
Kyle snickered next to you, resuming his own painting, slowly painting the front of his mug, while holding it from the back with the greatest care in the world.
Unfortunately for him, he was too focused to catch the way you dipped your thumb in your own paint pallette, gathering your brightest red... And then dabbing it on his cheek twice, forming a heart shape.
Kyle turned to you with wide eyes, catching the same shit-eating grin in your lips, your teeth showing, before you started giggling. "Uh-oh..." You said, not at all ashamed of the revenge you just got on him.
Kyle shook his head at you, a smile on his own lips, before he leaned over, caught your face by the chin, and dropped a kiss on your lips. You melted into it, eyes closing and smiling against his mouth.
And, when he pulled away, he looked you in the eyes with the fondest look in his eyes, his head dipped at an angle before he whispered a: "God, I love you... What am I going to do with you?"

I thank you for your patience anon and my lovely readers as I finally post this! Hope you enjoy and that I have done your ask justice! ❤️
Life outside of the vault was difficult to say the least. You felt hunger and dehydration in ways you’d never experienced before, going out of your way to do desperate things you would normally never do in order to get said food and water. The heat was unbearable, every stretch of land you walked across had a danger lurking around every corner, and worst of all, you’d never felt so alone. You weren’t sure what it was about you, maybe it was because you were new to the surface, maybe it was your nearly perfect skin, but everyone seemed to stare or glare at you when you would walk through. It wasn’t until you’d passed through Filly, meeting Ma June that you realized people didn’t take kindly to people like you. “Vaulties” she called them, an audible disdain in her tone, making you look down to remember you were in your blue and gold Vault-Tec suit. “I’ll be going then, have a nice day!” You said skiddishly, offering her a kind smile before turning and exiting the shop. You just wanted to make friends, why was that so hard up here? So when your eyes set on a man clad in classic Wild West cowboy clothes, watching smoke settle after a stand off, you weren’t sure why but you knew that was who you needed on your side in this world. Before you knew it, your feet were already moving and mouth speaking to him, grabbing his attention.
“I ain’t no charity case sweetheart, I don’t take on strays” The ghoul spoke, his southern drawl making him even more memorable than the marred texture of his skin. You looked to the dog that trailed not far behind him as he walked, changing its pace to keep up with the man. “The dog there with you tells me otherwise” you quipped. “Ain’t my dog” he responded harshly as he continued walking. “I can make it worth your while!” You yelled, making him stop in his tracks for a moment, a scary sight at first before you worked up the nerve to come closer once he turned back to you. “And how you suppose you’d do that?” He asked, and at first you didn’t know what to say, the words leaving your mouth before you could really think of a good enough reason. Did nobody like company anymore these days? “Well…I can be your scavenger! Pretty good at collecting stuff” you offered, shaking your bag and making things rattle around inside to prove it, making him give a huff of a chuckle. “‘f I wanted a pack mule I’d‘ve found a brahman” he shot you down. “Okay, then I can be good company to talk to!” You offered. “They make radios for when I want to listen to someone yack” he shut down once again. “I’m a good cook! Even with shitty supplies, I can make a stew that’d put a smile even on the meanest son of a gun’s face” you said, hopeful that he’d at least take you for something, but you had a feeling he’d probably turn you down again. “Iguana on a stick’s just fine” he said, though he had to admit the stew sounded good. Reminded him of home before all this wasteland bullshit. “Oh, umm…” you said awkwardly, your tone growing quiet and my how it put a sad look in your eyes. The evil part of him liked it, seeing your sweet innocent face all downturned but the part that was still human deep down, the part that hardly ever saw the light of day anymore, had half a mind to let you.
“Got a lotta nerve walkin’ up t’ me, girly. If you somehow been lucky enough that you ain’t met dangerous yet, you’re lookin’ at someone who could put you down before you’d even mutter your last words” he threatened, motioning to the double barreled shotgun in his hands. “I know, I saw it first hand. You hold yourself well, I envy that. I’m new to all of this and just really want someone who can help me hold my own the same way” you explained. “Look, I know I don’t look like much but please just give me a chance” you begged, looking up at him with a fighting spirit in your eyes that he had to admit, he was pretty impressed in seeing in a vaultie. “You help me, I help you, however that ends up being” you offered, standing strong on this and damn if he didn’t see a little bit of himself in you at that. He gave a sigh, tilting his head down before shaking it, not believing himself for the words he was about to say. “Alright, but the minute you start draggin’ you’re out, got me?” He said, and he hated the way his cold heart seemed to pump a little faster upon seeing your eyes light up with joy and a smile stretch to your face. “Oh thank you, thank you, thank you!” You said, opening your arms up to hug him but being met with the barrel of his gun poking your stomach to keep space between you. “I don’t do hugs” he spoke gruffly, making you back up enough to where he’d drop the gun back to his side. “R-Right…sorry” you apologized, embarrassment washing over you but still glad to finally have someone in your company. “C’mon, I ain’t got all day now” he said, motioning you to start walking, so you joined him.
Your travels with him certainly weren’t at all what you were expecting them to be. From being used as bait, to being tied up with rope most of the time you’d traveled together, or being sent in as his scavenger, you weren’t prepared for a lot of the reality you faced with being up on the surface. Most nights made you question why you’d ever left the comfort of the vault, why you’d abandoned a trusty food supply, regulated temperatures, a safe place to sleep that wasn’t riddled with radroaches or had the likely hood of waking up to a raider with a knife at your throat for no reason. Then you would remember the experiment in your vault, why you left that awful place for arguably a worse reality on the surface but at least you had freedom. Out here you were free to say what you want, do what you want, consume what you want so long as you could defend yourself incase that supply wasn’t unclaimed. You’d gotten pretty handy with a gun in the most recent weeks. Cooper, you learned one night was his name, using empty glass bottles as targets to help teach you accuracy and how to hit things from a longer range. In exchange, you came a little more useful than he had first thought. You had some useful stuff on you for trade like chems, ammo and food, were a good extra bag to hold stuff in, and you were a better cook than you’d talked about. Sure you had a tendency to talk too much, and you weren’t great with a gun, but you were getting there.
“Might I suggest takin’ them clothes instead of wearin’ that suit?” He said, making you look at him weird for suggesting you strip a dead raider of their clothes. “Why would I do that…?” You asked, genuinely confused and not sure what he was implying either, he was a hard man to predict. “Because, people see that shit and get real mad. People up here don’t like vaulties or the ones that run ‘em” he said and it made sense, it helped you understand why you kept getting evil glares each time someone would look at you or talk to you. You figured he knew best, so you took the shirt and pants from one of the female raiders, tucking them into your bag to change into at a better time. He gave a chuckle watching you do so, apologizing to the dead body profusely as you took their clothes and whatever valuables they had on them for the betterment of your own survival. You were still so naive, part of him was hoping he could slowly start to break and corrupt your way of thinking, but that was a thought for another time.
Before you knew it, night finally began to fall. The sun setting across the horizon gave the air less of a hot, harsh bite as the temperature began to cool rapidly across the sands of the Mojave. All you managed to grab was a pair of beat up, old jeans and a tank top, so as soon as the sun set, the chill set in. As you both set up camp for the night just outside of an abandoned rest stop, you started a fire to cook some of that stew you talked about being good at. He had to admit, it was pretty damn good, likely the best thing he’s had since before the bombs went off. Though even the kindling fire couldn’t manage to chase the chill away, watching you run your hands up and down your arms to try and warm up some by it. He felt a slight pang in his heart, watching you shiver like that, how your eyes lit up by the blaze of the fire and your hair seemed to be tousled just right. You were pretty, too pretty to be trekking this wasteland, and certainly too pretty to be trekking it with him of all people as your company. Even he had a heart still, as cold as it was, so out of kindness he shrugged his duster from his shoulders, draping it around you. You looked at the fabric pooled around you, pulling it over you better before looking to him as he sat down across from you again. “Ain’t no use if the cold gets ya” he said, making you smile appreciatively at him as you realized what he did. “Thank you” you replied, a slight blush fanning to your cheeks as the chattering of your teeth finally died down and you grew warmer. It smelled like him, sure it had splatters of old dried blood and was rather worn, but it had that gunpowder and smoke smell to it that you associated with him. “Don’t say I never did nothin’ for ya” he replied, trying to sound cold but it didn’t come off that way, making you chuckle. “What do I owe you?” You asked, making him fall silent for a moment as he pondered the answer to your question. He looked you over for a second before tipping his hat down to cover his face a bit, the signal that he was about to try and get some sleep. “Just keep watch for a bit, I’ll be up in a few hours” he responded, and while it wasn’t what you were expecting, you’d take it.
He was startled awake a couple hours later when he heard a commotion, you yelling at someone telling them to back off that this place had been claimed. The raider you were up against didn’t seem to like that very much, claiming that wasn’t how it worked up here. The altercation took a turn for the worst when the man reached for his gun but you were quick to fire and kill him before he could let out a shot. A shaky feeling set in your hands and a horrified expression across your face at the realization that you just killed someone. Cooper, who was certainly wide awake now, was rather impressed by your quick timing and precision, coming up behind you to lay a gloved hand to your shoulder. “Well would ya look at that, looks like them lessons been payin’ off after all. How’s it feel?” He asked, looking down at you as you stared at the gun in your hands. “He was yelling at me but…he was aiming at you. I don’t really know what came over me, I didn’t like that he was going to shoot you so I just…I killed him” you said, recounting the encounter to him as if he hadn’t seen it himself. He didn’t really know what to think in that moment as you explained how your mind worked, he was proud for sure at your show of improvement with a gun, yet also touched at the same time. No one ever really looked out for him since he started his bounty hunting, he was a well hated man by many but you defended him without really any reason to. You’d just learned his name not but two weeks ago, and before that he was dragging you around with rope yet you still defended him, had you two really gotten closer in the time that’s passed since? He wasn’t sure, but it was something he could mull over while you were sleeping. “Get some rest vaultie, sun’ll be up soon” he said, knowing you likely wouldn’t get much sleep with the adrenaline still coursing through you, but it was at least worth a try, you two had a long day ahead of you.
When you woke up that next morning, things felt a little different between you two. You weren’t some annoying little dog following him anymore, you were an equal. He no longer looked at you and treated you like you were lower than him as you both set out across the wastelands, he had respect for you. Hell, he even started talking with you now when you were out traveling which was almost unbelievable. You learned through those conversations that he used to be an actor in Wild West themed films, explaining his outfit, and that he was married before the bombs dropped. You of course told him bits and pieces about yourself in exchange, after all it only felt fair but it was also nice to just finally talk to someone after all this time.
When night time fell again you two sat enjoying a meal by the fire together, only rather than across from each other, he sat next to you, making a blush come to your face as you’d smiled sweetly at him. “Glad to know I don’t have germs anymore” you said jokingly, making him chuckle. “Give an old man some credit. It ain’t exactly all peaches and marmalade out here darlin’, even cute can be deadly” he said, the nickname and him calling you cute sending a deeper blush to your cheeks despite knowing it’s just how he spoke. Whether it was the lack of contact with other people for so long, or just his charm you couldn’t quite tell, but it always seemed to have an effect on you. “Just teasin’ you, I get it. I’d tie me up and use me for bait too if I’d been doing this as long as you have. It’s a shit hole out here” you said, making him look at you as you dropped the first curse word he’s ever heard from you. “Well I’ll be damned, either I’m a bad influence or you’re finally growin’ outta that naive shell there, vaultie” Cooper replied, making you laugh as you saw a smirk stretch to his thin, marred lips, the first one you’d seen in a while that wasn’t brought on by drugs, chems or that first sip of a good bottle of alcohol. “Probably both” you quipped, making him chuckle. “Yeah, probably. Been told I ain’t easy to stomach” he said, making you hum. “You’re alright in my book, Coop” you replied with a sweet, genuine smile that matched your tone and was that butterflies you felt in your stomach? Did you just call him Coop? No ones called him that in ages, why did it make his heart start to flutter a bit? “You ain’t so bad yourself, vaultie” he responded, still affording you that small smile before turning back to his food. “Keep making food this good and I just might have to keep you around” he joked, making you giggle and break the slightly tense silence. “It’s not much but I certainly try. I’ll definitely make sure to stay good at it, I like traveling with you” you said, unintentionally coming off flirtatious and fuck there it goes again, that feeling in his chest and his stomach like he needed to hit his inhaler but he felt great. What were you doing to him?
“Hey, if it isn’t too much can I ask you a sort of…personal question?” You asked, holding the beat up bowl in your hands as you looked over at him. This was normally the part where he would say no, absolutely not, he wasn’t here to be questioned on his personal matters. Yet, with you, it was different. Ever since last night he hasn’t been so on edge with you, it was like he’d warmed up to you. “Depends on what you’re askin’ there, sweetheart” he said, the nickname once again making you blush. “Do you…miss them? Your wife and daughter?” You asked, not sure if it was a good subject or good question to ask but after finding out, you were genuinely curious. He looked down at his bowl again, thinking of the proper response to your question. The old him would have been defensive, told you it was none of your business, but now? He wasn’t sure. “Ain’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about ‘em. About the way I ran out on ‘em when them bombs dropped” he answered, making you give him a sad look as genuine guilt filled his tone. This was the most honest and open he’s been with you this whole time. “I feel guilty. Not sure if I feel guilty for runnin’ out and leavin’ ‘em behind or guilty for the way I ran out, been tryin’ t’ figure that out for quite a while now and I still ain’t sure” he added, and you sympathized with that. Everyone has regrets, things they’ve done in the past that they aren’t proud of, people up here were no different in that aspect. “Well, in the short time I’ve gotten to know you, I’ve come to understand that everything you do has a valid reason behind it. So even if you feel it was a shitty thing to do, you obviously had a reason for doing so. No one can blame you for trusting your gut, and I don’t think you should blame yourself for doing so” you responded, your hand falling to his as a comforting gesture, your words ringing in his head almost as if you’d opened something in his mind, something he’d never really gave himself to think about before. He looked down at your hand that rested on his, noticing the way you didn’t flinch away from him like others did, the way you were brave enough to walk up to him, talk to him, *trust* him when he made it very clear that you shouldn’t. It was smaller than his, softer for sure, but warm all the same, then he looked up to see that caring look in your eyes and smile on your face that told him that you cared. “Guess you’re right, still wonder sometimes if it was the right choice to make” he replied. “I understand. Everyone has regrets, we all look at the past and hold at least something that we’ve done before in regret, it’s what makes us human” you said, making him give a huff as a chuckle. “You got anybody?” He asked, making you look down as you moved your feet along the dirt. “An ex-husband, but not anyone I really care about, no. My parents passed a few years before the bombings and he and I split up when I caught him cheating on me with some other woman in the vault..” you explained, not sure why it hurt you to tell the tale still, but you felt it was only fair considering what you’d asked of him to share. “Sorry t’ hear that” Cooper said, making you chuckle weakly, a somber look coming to your face that made his heart wrench. “I haven’t exactly been in love since, and considering he and I split up just a little over ten years ago, really says something I guess, huh?” You asked, trying to laugh to bring up the mood, knowing you sounded pathetic. “He was the fool, not you darlin’. He was the one skippin’ out on one hell of a woman” Cooper said, making you look to him and blush a bit as you gave a chuckle at his response.
“Thanks” you replied appreciatively and with a smile before casting your gaze down to see your hands were still connected and it left you blushing harder with embarrassment, you’d been holding his hand this entire time without realizing it. “Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable if I have I-“ “relax vaultie” he cut you off, pushing your hand back down onto his to assure you that he was far from uncomfortable. “It’s…rather nice actually” he admitted, making you feel relieved but your heart fluttered in your chest from it. A thick tension soon began to set in between you both after that night, something of an unspoken, kindling romance beginning to develop. “Then there it can stay” you said, making him smile softly at you, tipping his hat at you as a silent thank you.
Months passed on like this, where you’d spend the days scavenging, picking the land for its resources you could find and hunting bounties by day, then spending your nights by a fire growing closer and closer with every passing day. Through your shared meals, jokes, deep conversations, and plenty of near death experiences, you started to notice your fondness of the ghoul you traveled with. The way you’d hang onto his words with that southern accent that seemed to pull at your heart strings, or the way you’d go out of your way to stand between him and a stray bullet. You’d helped him on more than one occasion in getting out of a sticky spot, or getting him the stuff he needed to keep from turning feral. In return, he started to notice he was feeling the same towards you. There was this sudden need to keep you safe, to do nicer things for you, to speak better towards you, even flirt with you at times. Some nights there’d be so much tension in the air, it’s a miracle you haven’t jumped each other yet. Though in his eyes, as much as his heart yearned for you, he knew you were too good for him. You’d been hurt before, and he had a reputation for hurting people, feeling undeserving of even just the sweet smiles and company you afford him even now. You didn’t need someone like him, you needed a good man, someone who didn’t kill for a living, someone who could treat you right, someone who didn’t look the way he did. You were soft and warm, he was rough and cold, though he supposed that’s where the term “opposites attract” came from. So even when he was a whole bottle deep, he was sure to hold his tongue to a certain point.
Some of those nights around the fire were spent sober, others not so much, and this night happened to be one of those nights spent under the influence. You two had stumbled across a mini-mart, doing your best to out run the radstorm that had been trailing you guys for hours, coming in just to find whatever supplies you could to make it through the next week and possibly hunker down for the night. So imagine your surprise when you seemed to have found the largest chem stache you’d both ever laid eyes on. “Coop! Come here, you gotta see this” you said, making him run towards you to make sure you weren’t hurt or in trouble. His nerves were eased once he saw you, fully intact. “Tell me I’m not seeing shit” you said, pointing to all of the supplies sitting in a box on the table, joined by other supplies around it. You both looked at each other in complete and utter disbelief, this would keep you stocked for months, maybe even a whole year if you conserved it well. “Well ain’t that just the prettiest fuckin’ sight” he said. There was no way a horde of chems this large and this valuable was just completely unprotected you reasoned, so you routed around the place, scoping out for any raiders, straggling traders or ferals who happened to still be around. It was as if heaven was shining down on you both as you found no one around, seemed like no one had been here for days. So you did the most logical thing anyone would do in this situation. Stuff each of your bags to the brim of drugs of all varieties! Seeing as you had food, chems and even some clean water and alcohol lying around, Cooper locked and barricaded the door shut, proposing it could be a good spot to sleep for the night. With a radstorm approaching, it was best to have a roof over your heads to keep out the rain and potential radiation sickness that came with it. “This is the closest fuckin’ thing to a slice of heaven I’ve seen in ages” he said, aside from you is what played in his mind but he couldn’t speak that out loud, no matter how much he wanted to. “You said it!” you replied, and it’s even better with you here you thought, but thought it best to keep it to yourself. He plopped down on the couch, kicking his feet up to rest on the small table that seemed to be in shambles, enjoying a tape that was playing on the TV that he was surprised to still see functioning. “Holy shit, this thing still works?” You asked, amazed to see working technology out in the wastelands, sitting next to him as you watched it with him. He gave a smirk at your reaction, thinking it was cute the way your eyes would light up when you got all excited over something. Deep down it made him want to give you everything you laid eyes on like that just to see it pointed towards him. “Guess so” he replied, enjoying your excitement only to see you turn and look his way, which was his signal to stop staring holes into you before he gets caught. “I dunno about you baby doll, but I ain’t about to spend tonight sober with this stache sittin’ here ‘n front of us” he said, making you laugh as he routed through all the different drugs and chems til he found what he was looking for.
In the process of searching through it all, a small metal box fell to the floor at your feet. It looked like a box of mentats only the design was different, instead of the characteristic green and white box was a red one covered with hearts labeled DN-Chem. You supposed the worst that could happen was turn into the man sitting next to you, which you figured wasn’t the worst fate to succumb to all things considered, so you went against all better judgement and said fuck it, popping two of the mentat like chems and chasing it with the vodka he’d found to wait for it to take effect. “The hell is DN?” He asked, looking at the box, wondering what it was you took. “Don’t know, guess we’ll find out here soon because I took two” you said, taking another sip from the bottle of vodka he passed your way, and he gave a chuckle as you handed it back to him. “You come a mighty long way, little lady” he commented before setting the metal pill box down. He took the bottle from you, taking a swig, then placing one of the small viles into his inhaler before taking a hit of it then lying back, breathing a sigh of relief as it and the alcohol entered his system like the perfect remedy to any ailment. As about a half an hour rolled by, you waited for the high to set in but it never came, instead you were just getting hot, like really hot. There weren’t any windows open, and it was night time so you shouldn’t be this uncomfortably hot for how it was but you felt like you were on fire. “Shit, it’s hot as hell in here…” you complained, shaking off your jacket that you’d picked off of some raider a few weeks back, making him look to you curiously. “Lightweight” he quipped, making you chuckle. “Accept I don’t feel anything, I just feel hot” you said, making him hum with intrigue before turning back to the TV. “Give it some time, you’re new to all this. ‘m sure your body is wonderin’ what the hell you just put in it” he said, and he had a good point, maybe it was just a side effect of not doing them so often compared to his every day use.
As time went on, you began to notice the way your eyes couldn’t help but be glued to him, more specifically glued to the way his legs were now spread as he sat back. You wondered to yourself what he looked like beneath all that cowboy get up, what his reaction would be like to see you getting on your knees for him and slotting yourself between his spread legs. You shook your head to try and rid yourself of such inappropriate thoughts, but what you couldn’t stop no matter how hard you tried was the feeling of arousal beginning to pool in your panties. Sure he flirted with you every now and again, but you doubt he felt towards you the same way you did for him. To him you were sure you were likely more akin to a pet than a friend, useful and nice to have around, but not anything further. At least so you thought. You’d rather hoped you were wrong in assuming so, that maybe he saw you the same way you saw him. You bit your lip as you tried bouncing your leg to relieve the ache between your thighs, a light pink dusting your face and neck even up to the tips of your ears, but nothing worked. Even as you closed your eyes, all you could picture was you laid out on the couch beneath him, or bent over it with him behind you, or you riding him on it. “Been awful quiet. You doin’ alright over there, sweetheart?” Cooper asked you, and the audible whimper you let out from the nickname left you completely embarrassed. You clasped a hand over your mouth, god you were horrified but he gave a grin and a chuckle in response. “I’m so sorry, I don’t know what’s gotten into me all the sudden. I feel so…weird?” you said, unsure if that was really the proper word to explain it but it was the only way you could really word it off the top of your head with how much your brain felt as if it was turning to mush. “Ya took some chems, it’s gonna feel a bit fuzzy” he said, trying to assure you that feeling a little funny was normal, but this? This didn’t feel normal, not even for a chem high. You tried your best to swallow harshly, doing everything you could to try and relieve the dry ache you felt in your throat at the moment upon looking at him. You grabbed the bottle of vodka, taking a few sips but even that couldn’t grant you bliss from it. The throbbing in your core was driving you absolutely insane. You swore up and down that it was like you could feel your heartbeat in your chest, stomach, and in your cunt all at the same time. “No, this is different…I don’t think what I took was a normal chem, Coop…” you said, trying not to panic at the effects that were setting in but god you felt like you were absolutely feral. He turned to look at you, watching as you clamped your thighs together and the red that fell over your face. “I feel like an animal in heat” you said bluntly, making him go into a near coughing fit as you took him off guard. However that piqued his interest enough to pick up the little metal box again to see what it was you took. “I ain’t ever heard of a chem that does that, was that DN shit the only stuff you took?” He asked, growing slightly concerned for you and whether he had a possible horde of laced chems, or just an extremely horny woman on his hands. Speaking of hands, you were lost in thought staring at them, at the way they gripped the couch like you wanted him to grip your thighs, at the way they looked in those leather gloves he always wore. You wondered how it would feel wrapped around your throat, or how it would feel if his fingers were buried deep inside of you. Shit. This was getting out of control.
“Hey, ya with me still?” He asked, snapping to try and get your attention back on the matter at hand, making you shake your head yes as you broke from your perverted thoughts. “Is that DN shit the only thing you took?” He asked again, making you shake your head yes once more, because you knew damn well your voice was going to betray you the moment you tried to speak. That had to be it, it was the only thing that was different out of it all and the only thing he’d never heard of before. He knew it wasn’t the vodka either because he was drinking it with you, so if it was affecting you, it would have affected him and it hadn’t.
It took him a minute to put two and two together before he finally realized the abbreviations stood for Date Night, reading the instructions and effects on the inside of the tin’s lid. “Shit..” he said as he read it, realizing this was a hand made thing thrown into the bunch by whoever was running this place. “Did you read the lid before you popped them pills?” He asked, making you go wide eyed. As if this couldn’t get any fucking worse, this shit show could have been avoided had you just read the inside of the lid. “There was instructions?? Oh my god…what the fuck did I take?” You asked, concerned for yourself and the tone he had while reading it. “Somethin’ that the creator of it called Date Night. Looks like it’s a…well looks like it’s a handmade sex chem” he said, making you cover your face with your hands out of sheer embarrassment, you’d never wanted to die out in a radstorm more than you did right now. “Please tell me you’re fucking joking, cooper…” you whined, watching him read it more. “How much of it did you take?” He asked, almost scared to know and you were scared to know why. “Two?” You replied, making him whistle at that as he read it. “Fuckin’ hell sugar..” he said through a chuckle, and that nickname made a shiver run through you, sending electric bolts straight to your throbbing cunt. You did your best to bite back the whimper. “You’re only s’possed take one, and with you bein’ new t’ all this, I wouldn’t have taken more than half” he said, making you just wish you could just dig a hole and die in it already. “Fuck me…wait, shit! N-Not literally fuck me I- well I mean I’d like if you did but…FUCK! Forgive me Cooper, I’m so sorry, I can hardly think straight” you said, making him chuckle. “Well sweetheart, I think you and I both know there’s only one good fix for this situation” he said, making you whimper pathetically at the thought, your thighs squeezing together even more as you tried to fight to stay sane. Your eyes cast downwards to his lap once more, seeing the tent forming in his pants, clearly you weren’t the only one all worked up here. “I don’t want to make you feel like you have to, Coop. I can run off and take care of myself if it makes you uncomfort-“ you rambled but before you could finish, his hand cupped the side of your face, pulling you in for a long awaited kiss. You moaned into it without meaning to, feeling the way your body immediately relaxed upon wrapping your arms around him with no hesitation as the sweet innocent kiss turned passionate and dirty rather quickly.
“I won’t lie t’ you, doin’ this with you has passed my mind more times than I’d care to admit, but I don’t wanna cross that line unless you really want this” he said, looking into your eyes and making sure that this was truly what you wanted, that you felt the same way he did. “Coop, I know I’m under the influence of whatever the fuck this drug is, but trust me when I say, I’d be just as good with it sober. Been thinking about it for probably just as long as you have, if I’m honest with you. I want this, I want you and right now I want you so fucking bad that I might lose my mind if you don’t fuck me” you answered bluntly, taking him by surprise at just the sheer amount of absolute filth that left your otherwise innocent mouth, making him chuckle at your use of curse words and how desperate you were for him. “That so sugar?” He asked with a grin, enjoying teasing you at your neediest moments, including now. “God yes, Cooper please..” you begged, nearly moaning in reply and he’d spent time mulling over it before, denying himself the chance but just as the chem stache was a pot of gold, he took this as one of the best opportunities being placed in his lap by whatever higher power existed out there, making him waste no time in kissing you once more. “Good, because I don’t think I’d be able to hold myself back once we’ve started” he said, and the idea made you moan. “Don’t want you to hold back, want all of you” you said, and your wish was his command.
By the time your brain could finally catch up with you again, your clothes were strewn out all around you, your tank top hanging over the back of the couch, your jeans thrown haphazardly on the arm rest behind you, his pants on the floor, his hat on the table and shirt and duster having fallen somewhere behind the couch. By now, you’d already cum on his fingers twice, and on his cock once, this was your fourth round and this shit still had you on fire. “Yes!! Oh fuck, Cooper!” you moaned as your legs wrapped around his hips, keeping him as close to you as you could get, your fingers digging crescent shapes and puffy red lines into his back that unfortunately he knew wouldn’t stay long thanks to his ability to heal stupidly fast. “Doin’ so good for me, baby doll. Look so pretty like this for me, all splayed out like a needy little whore” he praised and degraded through his groans, making you moan and roll your eyes into the back of your head at the praise mixed with degradation as his cock was drilling deep inside you like tonight was all you guys had. “Yeah, you like that, huh sweet thing? Like it when I tell you how good it feels and call you names?” He asked, making you nod your head yes because there wasn’t a single thought in that brain of yours other than his name, which you spoke like a mantra. “Never knew such a sweet lil’ thing like you would be such a dirty little minx. Fuck…enough to make a man like me go feral, ya know that?” he said, making you giggle as you moved his free hand up to your throat, urging him to choke you, and he groaned at the sight. Your kiss swollen lips all puffy and shining with spit, your cheeks dusted a constant pink that grew darker anytime his cock brushed that spot deep inside that made you cling to him, your eyes half lidded, looking up at him like he was your savior. It made him absolutely rock hard knowing you’d pick him over anyone else in this god forsaken wasteland. “My, you are just a little freak, ain’t you? Oh we are gonna have fun together, you and me honey” he promised, squeezing your throat tight enough to restrict your airflow but not enough to hurt or cause any damage. Just enough to get that puddle of a brain of yours all fuzzy as you got closer to your fourth orgasm of the night. “Cooper…’m so close, so close please!!” You begged, feeling the heavy drag of his cock as he pounded into you, leaving you damn near screaming as it nudged your cervix and that spongy little bundle of nerves deep inside. “Go on honey, I gotchya. Let go for me, wanna see those pretty faces and hear those pretty noises you make” he said, angling his hips just right to hit that spot over and over again. “Oh fuck, oh fuck I’m gonna cum again, I-“ you warned before your moans rose in pitch as your walls clamped around him, gushing on his cock as your orgasm hit you like a freight train. Your body arched off the couch, stars filling your vision for a moment as you felt your release gush out and coat your inner thighs, screaming his name like it was your only chance at salvation. “Well ain’t I just the damn luckiest man in the wastelands right now, got me a pretty little vaultie and she’s a gusher” he said, making you whimper at his teasing but judging by the way he emptied himself inside you for the second time, you took it as a sign that he liked that about you. “Holy shit, I-I didn’t know I could do that” you said, thoroughly shocked with what your brain and body were doing as they almost seemed to almost be working against each other. “Do it again for me” he said, grabbing you and moving you both to where you were straddling him this time. His hands rested on your hips, helping guide you as you speared yourself on his dick with ease from how absolutely soaked you were, making you both throw your head back and moan. “Now that’s a damn good sight” he said, making you lean in to kiss him once more as his hands helped you start and keep a steady rhythm with your hips. It was definitely going to be a long night, but one you two have been needing for months, maybe even longer.
It’s a good thing ghouls have remarkable recovery time, because in order to finally get you sated and back to normal, you both had to spend all night going at it. Granted, it was aided by the mix of pent up sexual tension and pent up sexual frustration, but it was dawn before you both had gotten to a point where you could even *try* and fall sleep. First few times was on the couch between missionary, doggy and you riding him, next was you bent over it, with your pretty legs spread and ass in the air for him. Then, you used the arm rest of the couch as a pillow beneath your hips as he stood up while you laid out on the couch. He liked that one a lot for the way your tits would bounce with each and every forceful thrust into you, jolting your body. After that, it was done standing up with your back pressed against a wall, your legs and arms wrapped around him to keep him deep inside of you and fill you til he had nothing left to give you. From that point on, the rest of the night was all a hormone-hazed blur, but you knew well that he took care of you. You woke up unbelievably sore, your joints aching in places that you had no idea could even ache, a swollen, angry throb between your legs for the harsh, almost punishing treatment to your pussy followed by bruises, bite marks, scratch marks, hand prints etc. littered your skin as you woke up curled into Cooper’s side. You gave a gravelly groan as the sun shone in your eyes through the windows, making him chuckle at the way you were such a ray of sunshine except in the morning. Coming to learn that you absolutely *hated* mornings. Though you suppose you started to enjoy them more since traveling with him. “Mornin’ sunshine” he said coyly, making you groan disapprovingly at the way the sun was in your eyes, making you hold your hand up to cast a shadow on your face and grant you some relief. “Morning” you answered, your voice hoarse and half gone from sleep and all your activities that transpired the previous night. “Ain’t that a pretty sight” he said, turning and seeing you curled up to him, naked, your hair all messy from sleep and the hickeys and bite marks littering your skin, making you chuckle. “Last night was definitely something, can’t believe you’ve been holding all *that* out on me” you joked, making him give a dry laugh. “Could say the same thing about you, sugar. Had no idea that mind a yours could be so filthy. You’re a wild thing to party with, lil’ lady” he teased, sliding his arm around you to keep you close, making you hum as you lay soft, appreciative kisses to his collarbone and chest. “You’re fun too, and thank you for taking care of me last night. I’m sorry that it ended up happening the way that it did, I wanted to work up the courage and tell you some other way, I really did, but I guess life had other plans” you said making him chuckle as he saw you blush when he kissed your head. “Drunk words are sober thoughts they say, so I’d say I made out pretty good. But don’t sweat it, not sure how I deserved someone as good as you, but it’s good to know I ain’t as hard to stomach as most people say” he said, pulling you in for a soft, heartfelt kiss. “I think you are just perfect, Cooper” you said, your hand resting on his scarred chest as you looked at him with that gaze he swore he’d do anything to see pointed his way.
“You really wanna be my girl?” He asked softly, sounding shocked and with some self doubt still lacing his tone, but he had to be sure this was what you wanted outside of the drug’s effects. He cared for you deeply, in a way that he hasn’t felt in a very long time, but maybe you were just the right person for him to finally open his heart up to. His question made you giggle as your heart fluttered in your chest with excitement. “I absolutely do, I meant it when I said it last night, I mean it just as much now. I think we’ve danced around it for long enough, don’t you?” you replied, making him smile the most genuinely happy smile you’ve seen him wear since you’d met. “Just checkin’” he said, before laying a sweet kiss to your lips, wishing every morning could be like this one. Maybe it could, now that you were here with him.

furniture shopping + night out
Tumblr media
matt sturniolo x influencer!reader
summary: your day in the life vlog ft. your boyfriend matt, request
warnings: fluff, maybe language
“good morning vlog” you said taking a sip of your coffee. the sun was just starting to come through your apartment windows as people filled the streets below. “i have a very exciting day planned today so i thought i’d intro the video now and we can chat for a minute.”
you began to get all of the ingredients out to make breakfast for you and matt while you talked to the vlog about your night. your videos tended to feel like a facetime call between you and your fans. everyone loved how personal and friendly they felt. “matt spent the night here yesterday, and i figured i’d be a good girlfriend and make us breakfast. i convinced matt to go to ikea with me this morning because i’ve been in this apartment for about a month now, and i still have no living room furniture. so we’re going to try to fix that.”
as you continued making breakfast matt finally woke up and decided to join you in the kitchen. “okay guys, be honest do these pancakes look good? i hope so. but i’m going to go wake matt up-” matt appeared from around the corner at this statement. “oh nevermind. hi baby! good morning.” matt, not being fully awake yet, gave you a small groan and fell into your arms for a hug. you returned it, holding him for what felt like hours. neither of you complained though. you and matt could be surgically attached and it still wouldn’t be close enough for the two of you.
you turned your head to the side looking at your counter. “me and my friends talked about last night and what we have planned for this morning while i made us breakfast.” “your friends?” matt questioned since he was the only one in your house. “yeah my friends in the vlog” you said with a ‘duh’ tone, earning yourself a poke in the side from matt.
Tumblr media
you picked up your camera again about an hour later while you were in the car. focusing the lens on matt, you began to ask him questions. “how do you feel now that i might actually have a couch after a month?” you asked with a laugh. matt’s smile brightened as he took his eyes off the road for a second to look between you and your camera. “i’m happy that we’ll finally have some place to sit other then your kitchen table. i’m excited to go shopping if you’re excited.” he reached over to pat your knee.
“matt’s not the biggest fan of shopping if you couldn’t tell. or if you’ve seen his house you’d know how unfurnished it is.” you said setting the camera on the dash to look at both of you. “listen, i just don’t see the point in worrying about how my house looks when i can be doing fun stuff with my life.” matt said with a chuckle. he grabbed your hand so you knew he was fully just joking to mess with you. “i think furniture shopping is fun. we’ll see you guys again hopefully when i have a couch.”
Tumblr media
you were back in the car when you found yourself filming again. you head rested on matt’s ands your intertwined arms as you sat in the parking lot. “bad news guys. we couldn’t find a couch.” you removed yourself from matt as he started backing out of the parking spot. his hand now rested on the back of your neck as he played with your hair. “so sad. i still have to sit on the floor.” matt remarked. you gave him a discouraged laugh catching his attention. he looked over at you while at the red light. “don’t worry sweetheart we’ll figure it out.” he leaned over quickly to kiss you cheek. “thanks matt. we’ll see you guys later.” you said giving your vlog a small smile.
a few hours had past as you and matt spent some quality time together at your apartment. it wasn’t often that you guys got alone time so you cherished it when you did. no meetings, no sibling, and no cameras. but that came to an end when you realized you had a vlog to finish.
matt was the one to pick up your camera this time. you were in your bathroom getting ready for the prada event you were going to tonight. matt thought this would be the perfect time to try and scare you. he quietly walked through your house, making his way to you. unfortunately for him you caught him in this act. his reflection showed up in the corner of your mirror. “what are you doing?” “no i’ve been caught. i was trying to scare you.” he said with a laugh. “next time, baby” he set your camera on your bathroom counter and came around to hug you from behind. “you look really pretty, sweetheart. do you want to tell them where we’re going?” he asked as he gently layed his chin in your shoulder. he didn’t want to mess up what you were doing.
matt’s comment had made you blush, but you’ll quickly pulled yourself back together. “thanks baby. um- matt did a photoshoot with prada recently, and he looked incredible. so they invited us to an event they’re throwing tonight.” “if we make it there.” matt threw out winking at the camera. you looked at him in the mirror quickly as you threw your arm back to jokingly hit him in the shoulder. “matthew!” you exclaimed. “what? im just saying their might be traffic.” he shrugged acting nonchalantly as you rolled your eyes.
“anyway guys i think we’re going to call it a night. i’ll let you know tomorrow how the event went. i love you and i’ll see you soon.” you smiled picking up the camera as matt starts to walk out of the bathroom. “wait, matt! do you have any last words for our friends?” he turned to you with a slight smirk. he quickly screamed in the camera before running off. “i’m so sorry head phone users.” and you ended the video
an: i’m sorry this is so short but i wanted to make this different from chris’s so i hope you enjoy. i also slightly based this off of the vibe of jules leblancs blogs because i love them 🤍

⁺˚°。⋆♱✮˖☽𓋼𓍊◯𓍊𓋼☾˖✮♱⋆。°˚⁺
It was a relatively slow, easy day in Jackson. You had got caught up on house chores, which albeit, there wasn't much to do anyhow. Joel did patrol early in the morning and had the rest the day to wind down, and Ellie was hanging out with Dina.
Flipping through a book, only paying half-attention while you skimmed the pages, you caught yourself stealing glances at Joel who sat beside you on the floral printed couch. He whittled away at a block of wood, working on a new little side project with careful focus. The sound of a sharp blade gliding across the surface of each corner was the only thing that could be heard.
Perhaps that's what was distracting you.
Slow.
Or perhaps it was the way his biceps flexed under that shirt of his, or the way his veins seemed to protrude from the top of his hands and up his forearm with each thought out stroke.
Maybe it was also the way he was sitting with his legs spread, letting the wood shavings and chips fall to the floor that he always promises to 'clean up after.' How his thighs appeared thicker, meatier when he's sat like this in that pair of denim that you innocently, accidentally, shrank just a tad bit when you last did laundry.
Your own thighs clenched together.
Easy.
"Don't hurt yourself now." Joel's low voice brought you out of your stupor with a snap of your head, uttering a small noise of confusion.
"You're thinkin' too hard." Joel clarified, flicking his gaze to you briefly as he swiped another stray chip from his lap.
'Smartass.' You thought before letting out a soft hum in reply and lean back against the couch, closing your book and tossing it onto the coffee table.
There was a beat of silence. Your eyes trailed over Joel's body again, breath hitching with the image of his large, broad frame.
He seemed to have noticed the way you eyed him so hungrily while lost in your thoughts, his gaze following yours to his lap. With a smirk, Joel took the opportunity to spread his legs a bit wider, knee pressing against yours subtly.
You watched and squeeze your thighs together once more.
Gotcha.
"Hey," he murmured before setting his project down on the end table next to him. "What's goin' on in that pretty li'l head'a yours?"
“Nothing,” You answered, the side of your face turning up somewhat with a wince at how quickly you responded.
Joel scoffed and folded his arms over his chest and sat back, head tilting disbelievingly with a cock of his brow, “Yeah? So y’ain’t starin’ at me like some piece’a meat?”
You rubbed at your nose as you felt the all-too-familiar warmth of embarrassment kiss at your face, but you couldn’t deny it. Joel had meat for days under all that clothing. So thick, and big, and-
“Lookit ya! You’re still doin’ it.” Joel gestured a hand towards you, brows drawing together with a shake of his head.
“Am not!”
“Bullshit!”
He turned his head and scratched at his chin, nails scraping the graying facial hair before he looked over at you again. His eyes trailed you up and down, and with a sigh he grabbed at your hips, eliciting a surprised yelp from you, and settled you onto his lap.
“What’re you doing?” You asked, instinctively placing your hands on his shoulders for stability.
“It’s not what I’m doin’,” he muttered and hooked a hand in the bend of your knee, gently making you spread a bit wider, “It’s what you’re doin’.”
Your brows furrowed this time, nose scrunching with confusion. You part your lips to speak, to ask what the hell he’s talking about, but that all quickly went down the drain the moment he had you roll forward.
A soft moan replaced all words instead, your eyes fluttering shut as you ground against him.
“Mhm,” Joel noised, watching you with a stoic mask. “ ‘S’what I thought.”
He kept force-rocking your body, arms flexing and grip tightening.
Back and forth, back and forth.
“Joel,” You panted, eyes screwing shut with a fall of your head.
“Hm? That feel good, baby?” He cooed, voice mockingly sweet. You nod and he watched with a smug look plastered on his face. “Yeah, poor thing jus’ wanted some attention, huh?”
Joel’s cock began to twitch inside his already-too-tight pants- which, by the way, he knew for a fact was your doing- and he unclasped his belt skillfully with one hand, undoing the button and lowered the fly.
“You’re gonna ride my thigh,” He instructed, pulling out his half-hard length from his briefs, “an’ I’ll think about lettin’ ya cum.” His other hand slid down from your hip and to your knee, giving a light squeeze.
Your eyes snapped open. What the fuck does he mean, ‘I’ll think about it’?
“Aht!” He could see the disapproval etched on your features, the way your brain was racking up some counter argument. “Don’t wanna hear it. Y’already lied twice t’me now; so excuse me for not playin’ nice.”
Joel swiped a tongue over his bottom lip before giving his cock a tug, “An’ I think I’m bein’ awfully fuckin’ generous lettin’ you hump my leg like a damn bitch in heat.” His voice was low, almost inaudible as he narrowed his eyes.
With a huff of air, you continue rolling your hips, forward and down. Then you tried moving side-to-side, chasing after a high that wasn’t there. Your body slowed before stilling completely and take in a sharp, frustrated breath.
“I didn’t say stop,” Joel gruffly spoke, eyes piercing into your skull.
“I’m not getting anywhere, Joel,” You complained before letting your head slump into the crook of his neck. What was once a pleasurable feeling, dry-humping his thigh, got uncomfortable fairly quickly with the way the seam from your jeans dug into you.
“Kinda the point, ain’t it?” The man retorted and tilt his head down to take a look at the pitiful frown on your lips. He chewed at the inside of his cheek for a moment, feeling his heart soften. Joel was mean, sure, but he wasn’t evil.
Finally, Joel conceded and tapped at your leg, “Alright, get up.”
He held your hands to spot you as you slid off his lap, back to your feet. Then his large fingers worked to get your pants off, helping you shimmy out of the denim. Joel gazed at your lower figure fondly, a faint smile creeping on his face as he hooked his finger into your panties, swiftly tugging them down. The man let out a low whistle at the sight of your slick-coated folds, then leaned in, tongue seeking out your entrance briefly before swiping back up to your clit. Your breathing hitched, legs twitching at the new pleasure making your stomach burn hot, then he pulled away again, not before leaving a delicate kiss under your navel.
“Come on back, honey,” Joel’s voice eased from his stern tone, now more gentle and loving. He guided you back over his thigh and closed a fist around the head of his dick once more. A shudder ran up your spine as your lips came in contact with the fabric of his pants, your arousal already soaking the denim. Before you could start moving again, he gripped your chin in his free hand, lightly squeezing to make your lips part and directed them over his length. “Spit.”
Complying willingly, you let saliva gather in your mouth and drooled all over the head and top of his fingers.
“Good girl,” Joel praised lowly and began stroking himself. “Go ‘head, sweetheart.”
Once you got the green light, your hips shifted tentatively before falling into an easy rhythm. An airy sigh pushed past your lips in content as your head fell back into place on Joel’s shoulder. A hand came up to hold it in place, fingers carding through your hair.
“That’s it, baby, jus’ like that.” He murmured, fist tightening around his dick as he watched you greedily get yourself off. Moans and grunts and breathy exhales sounded through the room, along with the wet smacking of Joel’s cock gliding through his hand.
“Actin’ like such a needy slut,” Joel commented, lip curling into a snarl before a low chuckle rumbled in his chest. “Can’t go two seconds without makin’ a mess’a yourself.” The way Joel went back and forth from degrading to loving then back damn near gave you whiplash.
You mewl into his shirt and clench around air, hips picking up speed while you gripped his bicep. Joel’s thigh was damp with your arousal, the warmth seeping into the fabric and vaguely hitting his skin.
“Or a mess’a me,” He added with a pleased glint in his eyes. You felt his body shake with each passing stroke of his fist. The fact he was getting off to you getting off on him made you shiver with delight. Heat began to build up in your core, stomach fluttering and tightening while goosebumps erupted across your body. You lift your head from his shoulder and crash your lips against his messily; teeth closing, tongues swirling.
You retreat, just enough to speak, “Joel,” the pitch of your voice raised in warning, hips stuttering as your forehead rest against his.
“No,” He denied flatly.
“Joel,” You repeated. Pathetically, Joel thought.
“Gotta learn your lesson somehow,” he countered with an unbothered face, tone lacking sympathy. “If ya wanted some lovin’ y’know ta ask. I’ll take care’a ya.” His own breathing hitched as his thumb swiped over his slit, wiping precum down the underside of his shaft as that close feeling creeped up on him as well.
“But ya didn’t do that, didja? Then you lied-“
“I didn’t wan- fuck- didn’t wanna bother you,” You explained in a hurried slur of your words, throwing your head back while desperately trying to hold off on your orgasm.
Joel’s face softened, but just barely. His tongue clicked, gaze trailing down your neck and to your breasts that subtly bounced with each move of your lower body, then to your pussy gliding back and forth across his denim clad thigh.
Fuck it.
“Okay,” he breathed out with a curt nod and grasped your chin once more, leading you back to face him, “You’re gonna cum- but you’re gonna look at me when ya do, got it?”
You nod against his palm, brows curving inward as your eyelids flutter; the coil on the verge of releasing.
“Repeat it.”
A heavy sigh escaped your lungs, “I look at you wh-when I c- oh, fuck-“ Your eyes widened, cunt clenching as your body convulsed and writhed over top of him.
He smirked proudly when you couldn’t even finish your reply. Your slick spread further over his leg and he relished the feeling. “Good fuckin’ girl, that’s it.”
You continue to ride your high out, eyes never leaving Joel’s. His lips press against yours once more, tongue flicking over your bottom lip before pushing it in. Your hands came up to cradle his face while you swallowed down every single moan and grunt leaving Joel’s throat just as he spilled himself into his fist.
Breaths labored, chests heaving, and legs trembling. You break the kiss and smile down at him before planting a quick peck to the bridge of his nose, making him smile.
“I love you,” Joel whispered, wiping the mess off his fingers onto his pants. Eh, they needed to be cleaned anyways.
“I love you,” You say back. He lies down, pulling you on top as he catches his breath. “I’ll wash your jeans for you next time I do laundry.”
He hums softly, closing his eyes and slips his hand under your shirt, soothingly running his nails up and down your back, “Sounds good,” There was a beat, then, “Jus’ don’t shrink them any further.”

God, you're so handsome. ~ T.Wolff
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Synopsis: Toto and George Russell's Sister are sneaking around. TW: Implied smut, Age Gap, Smoking.
God, he's so handsome in his vintage Merc and black Tom Ford glasses. With the sleeve of his black shirt casually rolled up, his muscular forearms catch the light. A wisp of smoke hangs between his parted lips as he waits for me at the end of the road, hoping my brother doesn't see us. I drop my duffle bag rushing into his arms and meeting his lips with a sinful kiss. His lustful eyes raked over my outfit, biting his lip But we both know time is of the essence.
Out on the open road of Monaco with the wind in my hair, hand on the back of my neck, just us and the ocean. His palm lays flat on my exposed thigh, mindlessly drawing shapes, his fluffy hair tousled due to the wind. His skin was glowing due to the setting sun. We pause to watch the sunset. I lean back against his chest, nestled between his long legs, with his arms wrapped around my waist and his lips against my neck. While my phone rings in the back seat.
5 missed calls from George
It's midnight, and we're tangled up in his sheets. I'm nestled against his side, his warm skin pressed against mine. His hand slowly roams my hip and waist until the teasing becomes too much. I stand over his body, holding him like a python, he canʼt keep his hands off me or his pants on. His lips whispered my name like a prayer.
16 missed calls from George
DAY 2:
In the morning light, he's still as handsome as ever, with tousled hair and sleepy eyes. I press a soft kiss to his jaw. As I try to untangle our limbs, his arms tighten around my waist. I flop back down, giving up on getting out of my safe place. After all, who needs breakfast?
Around mid-noon, we begrudgingly leave the bedroom to have ‘breakfastʼ. Who would have thought Toto Wolff would look so good making eggs? His bare torso is covered in an apron, his dexterous fingers wrapped around the whisk. I just intently stare at him making us breakfast, simply mesmerised, which he notices, he winks before giving me a bowl of strawberries to snack on. We share Crêpeʼs with whipped cream, with my feet in his lap; our lips swollen and his marble skin covered in purple splotches.
26 missed calls from George
It's the dead of night, and he sits on the sofa with his spectacles on, furiously typing away on his laptop, his hair messy from running his hand through it, his face set in a scowl. I just made his favourite Pumpernickel bread, and I have about 45 minutes to kill while it bakes. He looks too delicious right now for me to resist. I stand in front of him with an innocent smile, slowly moving his laptop away. His brown eyes crinkle with excitement, His lips find mine as I tug on his hair, gently massaging it to soothe the sting. He chuckles against my lip, his large palms sinking into my skin as my fingers nimbly unbutton his white shirt. My lips meet the skin between his neck and shoulder, his head thrown back in pleasure.
38 missed calls from George
DAY 3:
The next morning, I grab my phone while Torger is in the shower, to see a flurry of texts from my brother cussing me out, asking where I am. I calm him down, listing more lies to cover up our trial and he blindly trusts me, my heart heavy with guilt but he would never understand. I repeat it in my head like a mantra till that guilt settles when Toto takes me into his arms, kissing away my problems.
We lay on the couch as I read out loud, my hand running through his hair, his eyes fluttering shut. God, he's so handsome.
I chuckle, my darling all worn out. The simple domesticity of this week has me longing for more. we need to tell my brother, but how can I, this wasn't meant to happen but if I could go back in time I wouldn't change a thing. but my brother wouldn't understand, he has always been protective of his baby sister, and I know he would blow a fuse if he realised I was with his long-time mentor.
Our peaceful weekend had come to an end when he parked at the end of the road; back where we started, His face seemed to be set in a permanent scowl during the drive back. A chaste kiss and I walked up the road back home nodding at the security guard as he let me in giving me a sorrowful look. Stepping through the threshold of my house I switch to being the perfect sister and daughter of The Russells.
I happily greet my brother, feeding lies about my girl's weekend like I didn't spend the whole weekend in bed with his Boss and Mentor. As I head up the stairs he complements my outfit, I thank him with a soft smile but beneath that pretty pink Chanel dress he brought are the bruised hand prints of Torger Wolff with love bites to match.

Jealousy Jealousy
Hey guys! this is literally my first ever fan fiction. Please let me know your thoughts and if you want a chapter 2 let me know and I will happily do so!! thinking of adding smut for chapter 2 so if this does well I will add it!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The first thing you do when you walk into Abbott is head straight for the coffee pot. You've been working there for a little under a year now and despite not feeling like fitting in at first you surprisingly made fast friends with Melissa and Barbra, earning yourself a seat at their table. Melissa was wary of you when she heard about a new young teacher but you won her over quickly with your dedication to your job and the way you genuinely care for the children.
One day you had forgotten your lunch and she shared some of her food with you. It was the best thing you've ever had in your life. She learned over your pitiful attempts of the lunches you brought that you have no idea how to cook so naturally Saturday night cooking lessons became regular.
You started to fall fast for the older woman. How could you not? She was the most beautiful person you've ever seen. Her passion and quick wit charmed you immediately. You shoved those feelings down fast and hard as to not wanting to ruin your friendship although it was becoming increasingly harder everyday.
Entering the breakroom you saw Melissa pouring two cups of coffee and as you walked over she extended her arm and silently handed you a cup.
“Thank you. You know me so well.” you quietly say slowly bring the cup to your mouth while taking a large sip.
“Anytime.” She smiles and pats your arm gently before sitting down. The affection she gave you wasn’t new by any means but every gentle touch you two shared made you feel giddy. You were just about to join her when an unfamiliar face walked in.
“Perfect right on time! Everyone, this is the new sub filling in for the week.” Ava spoke walking in directly behind the new girl.
“I'm Jacob! Thanks for coming in to fill in for Janine. What's your name?”
“Sarah. It's a pleasure to be here.” she smiled sweetly. She looked over at you, looking up and down and her smile grew. “What's your name honey?” She spoke while inching closer to you.
“Y/N L/N. '' You replied stiffly while looking at her, completely unaware of Melissa's shift in demeanor and the way her eyes immediately began to stare holes in Sarah's head.
“Well Y/N I would love it if you could show me around and help me find my classroom.”
“Sure.. no problem” you stuttered out not wanting to seem rude to the new face.
“Thanks a bunch. You're a real sweetheart.” she slowly put her hand on your arm where Melissa had previously touched you. It made you jump slightly. You looked over at the red head who quickly averted her gaze and busied herself with her phone.
You frown at the thought of not being able to enjoy your time with Melissa this morning but make good on your deal and quickly left the breakroom. You walk her to where Janines classroom is in an uncomfortable silence.
“You'll be in here. I'm just down the hall so let me know if you need anything.” you force out in an attempt to be polite.
“Is that so? Well I will definitely be seeing you later then.” she winks and turns into the room to set up.
You don't see Melissa just a few doors down looking over with her hands in fists as she quickly tucks away into her room to start her day as well.
Lunch comes quickly and you file away back to the breakroom desperate for another cup of coffee to make it through your day. You spot Melissa and smile softly at her as she puts another coffee cup right on the table by your seat along with food she appears to have brought for you. You feel relief as you are about to make your way over to her once again when a hand harshly touches your shoulder.
“So Y/N, I was wondering if you wanted to grab lunch together. I'm new to the area and don't know where anything good is yet.” Sarah speaks up behind you.
“There is a great sandwich spot just around the corner on the right you can go to. I'm going to eat here though. Teachers salary and all doesn't really let me eat out for lunch.” You reply as nice as possible, turning to her hoping she gets the hint.
“My treat then!” she retorts and wraps her arm around your shoulders practically pulling you out of the room before you can think of anything else to protest with. You don't get to see the way Melissa fills with rage as she packs up her food for you, throwing it in the fridge and slamming it in anger. You don't get to see the way she drops in her seat staring at where you once were standing simmering with anger.
“Melissa you've got to calm down” Barbra sighs, patting her best friend's arm.
“Im perfectly calm Barb. I have no idea what you are talking about.” she practically snaps.
“Melissa it doesn't seem like Y/N had much of a choice in the matter. It's also certainly not Sarah's fault for taking a liking to her and making a move seeing how you have yet to. Y/N isn't doing anything wrong seeing as she doesnt know how you feel.”
“I don't know what you mean. We are just friends.” Melissa replies still staring at the door you walked out of moments ago.
“Try looking at me and say that then.” Barbra replies gently as to not scare her friend off or worse have her shut down the conversation before she can help her see clearly.
Melissa sighs and looks over, anger completely replaced with vulnerability. “There's no way she would ever feel the same. I'm twice her age. Maybe she should be with someone like Sarah. Someone her age that she can relate to.”
“That's nonsense Melissa. You two get along better than anybody. As for age I dont think thats a thing that's ever even crossed Y/Ns mind. Have you seen the way she looks at you? You'd have to be blind to not see the way she cares for you.”
“And if we are wrong? I can't lose her Barb, I just can't.” she replies softly folding her hands together looking down.
“You won't lose her. I doubt you could ever make her want to be apart from you. You never know unless you open up and try.”
“Okay.” She gives in. “I'll see what I can do.”
The day finishes quickly and you are packing up for the day. All the children have gone home and you are about to find Melissa and Barbra to walk out with them as usual when there is a knock on your door. You smile expecting to see Melissa ready to leave with you but it's Sarah at your door instead.
“Hey thanks for taking me out to lunch today. I had a really great time.”
“No worries. I hope you have a good day.” You reply in all hopes of getting out of this situation fast and catch up to your friends.
You don't hear as Melissa begins to approach your classroom to come grab you. She stops at the sight of Sarah and listens in.
“Hey before you go I was wondering if you'd like to go out saturday. Maybe instead of showing me around the school you could show me around more of the area too.”
Saturdays are reserved for you and Melissa. You knew that and there was no chance of you missing out of spending that time together.
Melissa didn't have the heart to listen to your answer. Didn't have the strength to hear you say yes on the day you shared together. You see a flash of red walking past fast. You knew it was her instantly and quickly spit out “That would be lovely but I have plans. I'm sorry I hope your first day was good.” You brush past Sarah and start to follow Melissa into the parking lot not even bothering to listen to her reply.
You finally catch up to her as she is opening her car door.
“Melissa hey what's the rush? Is everything okay?” you say in concern as you notice how upset she looks.
“Everything is fine.” She spits out with venom in her voice. You recoil slightly at the harsh tone. “Why don't you go back to your new girlfriend? Forget about me like you have all day.”
“New girlfriend? Mel what are you talking about?” confused you rush out “ I'm sorry about today I just-”
“Just forget it, Y/N. I know when I'm no longer wanted. Why be with me when you could have someone like her” she replies before she even has a chance to realize what she says. “Fuck I mean. Nevermind.” She rushes out flustered and slams her car door peeling away before you even have a chance to process what just happened.
You stand there for a while until it dawns on you what she just admitted. She was jealous. She was jealous and an idiot. You were falling for an idiot. You quickly get in your car and follow her. You needed to clear this up immediately.
You pulled into her driveway and practically ran to her front door. You knocked and knocked and knocked until she answered. She couldn't have been home for long as she was still wearing her badge and her shoes were still on.
“She's not my girlfriend” you rush out. “If you had stayed around to listen you would have heard me turn her down. I will turn everyone who asks me out down. You wanna know why?”
“Why?” She snaps back at you. Her anger clearly has not faded away just yet.
“Because the only one I want is you. I've only ever wanted you” you say staring into her eyes.
It must click in her head then because her gaze softens and she steps closer to you. “Even if I'm older than you?” she asks shyly.
“I just want you. All of you. Exactly as you are. That is if you want me too?”
She doesn't reply, she instead puts her hands on your cheeks looking into your eyes for any sign of hesitation. After finding none she closes the gap. You sigh into the kiss as you finally feel her lips against hers and you wrap your arms around her.
You didn't feel fireworks or anything like that. Instead it felt like coming home.
Her tongue licked at your bottom lip and you opened your mouth to let her in moaning at the contact. The kiss became more frantic then. Your hands found their way into her hair and tangled themselves there. You both stumbled your way inside kicking the door closed behind you. The next thing you knew you were pressed down into her couch as she climbed on top of you. You took the opportunity to nip at her bottom lip and pulled slightly with your teeth ushering a hiss of pleasure out of her.
She pulled away and looked down at you. “I should have told you how I felt a long time ago. Imagine how much sooner we could have been doing this.”
“We have all the time in the world now though don't we” you smile. “Besides, I like the way things went. You're hot when you're jealous.”
“Oh? Is that so?” smirking she lowered herself down again and to kiss you more. Softer this time. as if finally realizing you weren't going anywhere now that she had you.
After pulling away again she laid her head on your chest and looked up into your eyes. “I suppose you are mine then now huh?”
“As if I could ever be anyone else's” you laughed and she couldn't help but laugh alongside you.
You were finally home.

“While I hope that isn’t your intention, staring any harder at the fire won’t make it any stronger. No matter how accomplished you may be.”
You feel the muscles in your brows relax in the dark of the night. Interesting, that. Considering how you don’t recall them furrowing so tightly in the first place.
Hearing the scratch of shoes against stone, you feel him make himself more apparent, as he always did. Moving to stand beside you. Not resting his eyes upon your visage just yet. Choosing to study the dying embers you must have been glaring at in front of you.
He takes quite an awful amount of time in doing so, too. Whatever thought you might have been thinking about long gone from your grasp as his presence unnerves you.
You feel your hands clenching and unclenching to alleviate yourself.
Yet the very air around him still makes your head swim, and your blood boil.
He takes a deep breath, as if steeling his resolve, before turning to look at you.
“What’s on your mind?”
“Cut the shit, Dekarios. What do you want?”
He shudders at the use of his name, but raises his hand up in false surrender. Gesticulating with his arms and hands as much as he did when you last saw him this close up.
“I mean no harm, and I see no point in denying to remedy whatever rift may have come between us.” He motions to the both of you, as he speaks.
“Come now,” he moves to lessen your distance, but you only turn to keep facing the dying campfire as he continues.
“Surely whatever schoolyard taunts and transgressions exchanged aren’t worth jeopardizing our efforts in our search for a cure, hm?” There’s a hopeful lilt at the end in his voice. He looks almost sincerely apologetic as continues on. Words, lacking their usual garrulous nature, as if keeping things short and simple would appease you.
If you didn’t know any better, you’d say he was apologizing out of the goodness of his heart.
“And who told you to apologize this time? Was it our fiery friend, or ‘The Blade of Frontiers?’ Or perhaps even our closest confidante; Astarion?” He raises a finger up with a confused expression to counter, but you beat him to it.
“With all due respect, Mr. Dekarios, we can go on our merry little way without discussing this.” You still refuse to look at him as you settle on admiring your nails for a change of scenery.
“Perhaps we’ll find some other fortune altogether and be rid of our parasites in the mornings that follow! And our little truce will matter not once we part ways and we both return to where we belong.” You finally move towards your tent to close your conversation, but Gale seems to ignore the implication as he follows you.
“You can finally return home to your beloved tower in Waterdeep, and I will be happily rotting in my little hovel.” You make one final tilt of the head to look at him, as if turning your whole body would be too much of an effort or grace to bestow upon him.
“Good night, sir Archmage.” You huff out as you disappear into the flaps of your tent without even letting your old classmate a chance to retaliate.
He stares incredulously at the still swishing material of your sanctuary. He releases a heavy sigh that built up in him and walked back to his own space in the camp to stew in his thoughts.
His eyes catching on the spyglass that he set up right outside his tent with disappointment.
If things had gone pleasantly, he would’ve asked you to observe the stars with him, as they were clearer to see from here than in Baldur’s Gate.
He distantly recalls you wanting for one during your academy days as the view from your little hovel, as he once called it, was rather murky. What with all the factories in the area.
He takes one last look at your tent from his and shakes his head.
It eludes him why you’re so hostile around him.
And even more so when you’re nowhere near this way around the others. He figured you two would be closer, given your shared interests and trade.
Hells, he even admired you all those years ago. Watching you accomplish so much, despite many difficulties. He wonders if you’ve ever respected him in the same way.
He sees Wyll looking at him, and he shakes his head to tell him that he doesn’t feel like talking. Entering his own tent to turn in for the night.
Hoping for any good that the gods can afford them come first light.

It was late at night.
Alexandria was practically silent outside, the only noises being the cicadas chirping in the distance. You were listening to the familiar rhythm of the noise tossing and turning in bed while waiting for Daryl to get home.
He'd been out all day, and you weren't sure why. Most mornings, you'd either wake up with him next to you, peacefully asleep, or you'd wake up to him kissing your forehead before heading out, wheather to was to hunt, or work on his bike.
But today, you woke up with an empty bed and an even emptier house. He was nowhere to be found. You'd been worried something had happened, maybe you'd upset him doing something the day before. Daryl always seemed to close himself off when he was upset. Everything seemed to be okay between the two of you, though. You'd fallen asleep the night before, him holding his arms around your waist with his face nuzzled into the nape of your neck.
Where could he be?
Suddenly, you flipped around at the sound of the front door opening and closing. Slipping on one of Daryl's shirts, you tumbled out of bed and down the stairs, and there he was.
Daryl was kicking off his boots at the front door with his crossbow slung over his shoulders. He looked stressed, setting his crossbow down by the door and scrubbing his hands over his face, sighing.
You stepped forward quietly, until you were stood right in front of him, grabbing his hand and rubbing your thumb over his knuckles.
"What's wrong, Daryl? You okay?" You ask, keeping your tone soft, like he could break at any firmer of a tone.
"'S nothin'. I'm fine." He muttered, his gaze dropping down to his shoes, hair falling in front of his face.
You wordlessly guided him upstairs to the bed, sitting him down on the edge with his feet planted on the floor in front of him. He looked on the brink of tears, almost, his breathing shallow. His lips were set in a firm line, and he kept his eyes on the floor.
You started pulling off his vest and shirt, getting him ready to relax and lay down. You'd known him long enough that he felt comfortable showing the scars on his back to you. Usually, you found yourself tracing them with the tip of your fingers, gently pressing kisses onto them when he was asleep next to you. (Or so you thought. He could always feel when you did it.)
"I didn't see you today," You whispered to him, sitting down by him and leaning your head against his shoulder. Daryl wasn't an overly affectionate person most days, especially when he was upset. You knew he still loved it when you held him, but sometimes he couldn't handle it. "Wanna tell me what's wrong? I won't push, if you don't wanna tell me," You assured him.
Daryl was dead silent for a moment, still staring down at the ground in front of him. It wasn't that he didn't feel safe enough to tell you, it was more that he wasn't sure how to vocalize his feelings. His whole life, he'd been told by his father and his brother that he couldn't feel as deeply as he did.
"My momma died, 'round this time 'a year when I was a lil' kid." He started, taking another breath and scrubbing his hands over his face. "I don't like thinkin' 'bout it, but I still wanna honor 'er." His voice was so quiet, words breaking up. He didn't dare make eye contact with you.
You thought about your words before speaking. "Was she good to you?"
"Yeah. Yeah, she was good." Daryl replied, fidgeting with his hands. "She'd... uh, she'd always make sure I was happy. Never remember her yellin' at me or Merle. Stood up fer me when my dad was bein' a dick. I was a pussy as a kid, though, always cryin' when I had ta' be 'round a lotta people. She'd take care 'a me when I panicked."
Daryl had a very fond memory of his mother. The woman always managed to keep a gentle hand with him. When he was young, he'd never stray from her shadow. He remembered the way she'd carefully trim his hair for him when it got too long. She'd patch up his wounds, no matter where they came from, whether it was his father, Merle, kids in the neighborhood, or just a small mistake. She'd hold his hand when they walked through crowds, days that he'd be so nervous he'd break down. She always managed to calm him down.
He was heartbroken after she died. She was his source of comfort; she was his home. He no longer had that sense of security and love, only his aggressive brother and abusive dad. He was forced by the remaining people around him to suppress his emotions, his grief and pain. When it all became too much, he'd run out to the woods and hide somewhere he was sure he couldn't be found and cry all his emotions out.
"You weren't a pussy, Daryl, you just needed some help. It's okay to feel the way you did," You replied to him carefully. You weren't going to push him to tell you more, even though you wanted to know details of his childhood so bad. You wanted to soothe his scars, his hurt.
"She died smokin' cigarettes in bed. I watched my house go up. Kids in my neighborhood, police- hell, everyone was lookin' at me, like I knew what happened." He whispered, his voice getting softer. You soon realized that he was sniffling, physically holding back tears. "I jus' ran- I ran out to the woods. Wasn't nothin' else to do. Couldn't go home," and just like that, the lump in his throat dissolved into nothing, his vision blurring.
"Sweetheart..." You trailed off, taking his beautiful face in your hands. You rubbed your thumbs against his cheeks softly, watching his expression as he sniffled out uneven breaths.
"'M sorry... 'm not tryin' 'ta--" He mumbled through tears, his voice breaking.
You couldn't help but embrace him, holding him in your arms with his face pressed against your shoulder. You ran your fingers through his hair comfortingly, pressing kisses into the top of his head every few minutes. He had his arms wrapped around you, hands gripping the fabric of your (his) shirt. You just sat there holding him, giving him the comfort he deserved, the comfort he'd never gotten as a child.
It appalled you that anyone could hurt the beautiful man in front of you. He deserved so much love, so much care. Daryl was so used to taking care of everyone else, that he'd never gotten the opportunity to take care of himself.
"You don't ever have to apologize for feeling. Not to me, not to anyone, Daryl," You murmured into his hair, listening as his breaths slowly evened out as he calmed down. "I promise, you can come to me when you need to. I'll never make you feel bad for crying- for hurting, either- 'cause I love you."
Daryl picked his head up from your shoulder to properly look you in the eyes, bringing one of his hands up to push some of your hair behind your ear. "What would I do without ya?" He asked, sniffling, not waiting for a response.
You gave him a gentle smile, tugging him back on the bed as you moved to lay down. "C'mere, pretty boy. Let's lay down, yeah?"
Daryl scooted back with you, not arguing. You pulled him so that he was laying his head on your chest, his body weight on top of you. The pressure felt comforting for the both of you, reassuring. You continued swiping your fingers through his hair as he began drifting off.
Right before the two of you could fall asleep, you heard him whisper something to you, just loud enough for you to hear. "I love you, too."
You'd always be there for him; his anchor, his home.
I hope this wasn't too horrible lmaooo it's kinda rushed😭 Lmk if yall want any more concepts like this‼️

When you woke up, Yunho was still fast asleep, cheek pressed against your chest as he slept comfortably. Even if your head was throbbing and your throat was calling desperately for water, you couldn't help but melt at how adorable he looked.
"Morning..." You whispered, brushing his messy fringe away from his face and kissing his head. He stirred slightly, letting out a small whine but went back to sleep.
"I'll be back." You told him and carefully slipped out of his hold, replacing it with your pillow.
"Mmm..." He grumbled but settled with burying his face into your pillow. You tip toed to the bathroom to take a shower and wash up.
After your shower, you went out to the living room, seeing that everyone was still sleeping. With everyone being drunk and going to bed, there was no one to clean up so the kitchen was messy.
"Let's do this." You first drank a big glass of water then coffee. Tying your apron around you, you put the first load of dishes into the dishwasher.
"What can I cook?" You looked through the leftovers from last night. It was mostly meat scraps.
In the end, you decided to make Khao Tom, a Thai rice soup dish. Since you had broth from cooking meat, you could flavour it with lemongrass, galangal, ginger, shallots, garlic and chilis. Then cook rice in it for a comforting hangover meal. And since there was leftover meat, you could shred it up to add to the dish.
"Oh, (y/n)... Good morning." Someone said to you as you were chopping up the aromatics for the dish.
"Good morning, Yeosang. I hope I didn't wake you." You chuckled.
"Not at all. Thank you for cooking despite being hungover. We could have ordered some hangover soup, you know?" He came over to see what you were doing.
"It's fine. I'm not that hungover. Besides, there's leftover food so I'm using that." You shrugged.
"Also, do you have spare toothbrushes?" He asked.
"Yeah, guest room bathroom, the cabinet below the sink. There's a whole basket of stuff there. Including spare towels." You informed. He nodded and walked to go wash up.
"Tofu, tofu..." You searched your fridge for tofu to add to the dish while the stock, rice and aromatics were bubbling away. But since you couldn't find any, you took out the greens that you had and chopped them up to add later.
"Hongjoong's gonna grumble." You laughed to yourself as you set aside the chopped vegetables.
"Jagiya..." Wooyoung groaned, stumbling into the kitchen like a zombie. He lazily threw his arms around you, hooking his chin on your shoulder.
"Head hurt?" You asked, hands coming up to gently rub his temples.
"Mhmm..." He melted from your touch. You continued to hold him with one arm around his waist, the other stirring the soup.
"Go wash up, I'll fix you some coffee." You cooed, patting his back. He nodded his head obediently and pulled himself away from the hold that you had on him.
"Use my bathroom but Yunho's sleeping so be quiet. Yeosang's using the guest bathroom." You instructed. He nodded and shuffled away. You made some hot coffee for him, knowing he and Jongho like hot coffee to chase their hangovers away. Soon, Yeosang came back out, fresh from his shower.
"That feels so much better. Anything I can help with?" He asked, pouring himself some coffee.
"Thanks but there's honestly not much to do, it's all done in one pot." You smiled.
"I'll help with clean up." He insisted, bringing whatever couldn't be put into the dishwasher to the sink to manually wash. While you were both in the kitchen, you just chatted.
"Wow, I didn't know you were so interested in all that nutritional values of food." You blinked.
"Yeah, the guys always make fun of my supplements. But you know it's important to take care and maximise what goes into your body." He said.
"I agree. Do you work out a lot then?" You asked.
"San and I go to the gym a lot. We like working out as a form of de-stressing I guess. For a period of time, we were even those hardcore gym people, we would go whenever we had any sort of free time." He laughed and your eyebrows raised in surprise.
"That sounds like a lot of dedication. No wonder you and San are so fit." You giggled. You stirred the pot and took a taste to check if the rice was cooked properly.
"Now we season with fish sauce, lime, more chili and white pepper." You went to retrieve what you needed and seasoned the rice soup.
"Here, give it a try." You let Yeosang try.
"It tastes good. The sourness and spiciness will help cure a hangover for sure." Yeosang said, taking a spoon and reaching in to eat another mouthful.
From the smell of your cooking, the boys soon woke up one by one, all whining and complaining from the hangover.
"Only Yunho's still asleep." You chuckled, giving Jongho a mug of coffee. Jongho bowed his head gratefully and yawned before taking a sip, sighing at the taste of the caffeine.
"Go wake him, I'll take over." Wooyoung patted your hip. You nodded and went to your room. Seonghwa was in your shower but you were surprised to see Yunho still sleeping but facing the other way and an asleep Mingi curled up against his bed. You were sure Mingi was still in the guest room earlier.
"M-Mingi?" You tilted your head at the two giants in your bed. Quickly, you covered your mouth to stop your loud laughter from escaping you.
"Yun? Wake up, Yun." You went to Yunho's side of the bed. Yunho slowly opened his eyes, staring up at you.
"Love? But, wait-" Yunho frowned. How could you be standing in front of him when he could feel you cuddling against his back?
"What- Mingi?" Yunho turned his head slightly and saw his best friend sleeping there instead of you. You laughed and reached over to cup his cheeks.
"When did Mingi come? When did you leave bed?" He hugged you and you leaned down to hug him back.
"I don't know. Last time I saw, he was still in the guest room but I guess somewhere along the way, he came over to sleep next to you instead. He can't resist his best friend." You giggled. Yunho scoffed and pulled you down so you fell on top of him.
"Yunho!" You slapped his chest.
"Shh, some people are trying to sleep." Mingi grumbled, finally detaching himself from Yunho to hug your pillow instead. Yunho rolled his eyes.
"Just wake up already. And what are you even doing here?" Yunho flicked Mingi's temple.
"Oww, my head hurts enough already. And... I don't even know how I got here." Mingi looked around, lost at how he came to your room.
"You two should get up soon, I cooked some food and made coffee. Have it while it's warm." You said to the two giants. Mingi saluted you but dove under the blanket.
"Yunho can shower first..." He murmured. Just then, Seonghwa emerged from the bathroom.
"Alright, I'll go." Yunho stood up, leaning over to give you a peck before entering the bathroom. You walked out to the kitchen with Seonghwa, seeing Wooyoung serving the other boys already. They were all spread out through the kitchen and living room, holding a bowl of hot rice soup.
"There's so much vegetables, (y/n) ah..." Hongjoon groaned as he stirred through the rice soup, seeing all the green in there. You laughed and shrugged innocently.
"My head feels like it weighs a ton." Seonghwa groaned, easily finding your medicine cabinet and taking some Tylenol.
"Here, stay hydrated." You gave him a vitamin water.
"I'll take coffee with syrup, please." Seonghwa ordered. Wooyoung and Jongho, who took their coffee black, booed at the oldest for putting syrup in his coffee.
"Shut up." Seonghwa scoffed. You made the coffee for Seonghwa anyway, anything to help him feel better.
"Here." Jongho handed you a bowl of rice soup after you gave Seonghwa his coffee.
"Not having any coriander with that, Hongjoong?" You teased as you added a mountain of coriander and spring onions to the top of your bowl. Hongjoong gave you a disgusted look, possessively holding his bowl away from you.
"This is so good, (y/n). It's so comforting and flavourful." San melted happily as he took a bite.
"Have more then, Sannie. It's called Khao Tom, it's a Thai dish that uses lime, chillis, fish sauce. Perfect for using up the leftover meat from last night too." You explained.
"(y/n)~" Yunho stumbled out of the room, draping himself over you tiredly. You put your spoon down and turned in your seat to hug him.
"Why? What's wrong?" You asked, rubbing the back of his neck. The others watched in amusement of how you babied Yunho.
"Nothing~ Just wanna hug you." He giggled and wrapped his arms around you to hug you tightly. You scoffed and patted his back before ushering him to the kitchen.
"Want coffee? Or hangover cure?" You offered.
"Coffee. I hate hangover cure." He scrunched his nose. Yunho made his iced Americano himself, sipping as he came over to where you were at the stove, scooping him a bowl of rice soup. He leaned over and took a whiff of the soup, letting out hums of excitement as the smell of the soup.
"Smells good." He clapped happily. Yunho gratefully took his bowl from you and put his own garnishes before taking the seat beside you by the counter.
"Where's Mingi? Still asleep?" Yeosang asked.
"No, I dragged him to the shower. If I can't stay in (y/n)'s bed, neither can he." Yunho scoffed. You choked at his words.
"You're such a child sometimes, Jeong Yunho." You shook your head, continuing to eat your food. Yunho merely grinned and gently pressed his forehead against your temple affectionately.
RINGGGGGGG
"Hang on. Oh, omma." Yunho excused himself and went to your room to speak to his mother.
"(y/n), your bed is so much more comfortable than Yunho's. I'm going to start sleeping over more." Mingi grinned.
"Get in line!" Seonghwa and Wooyoung barked, making Mingi's eyes widen. You rolled your eyes at how unnecessarily possessive the two were. Thankfully Yunho wasn't around to hear Mingi say that or he would not be pleased.
"You two are banned. I'm only allowing Jongho from now on. And Mingi, the mattress in my room is the same as the one in the guest room." You scoffed.
"Can I still sleep over then?" He grinned. Before you could reply, Yunho came out.
"Who is sleeping over?" Yunho slung his arm around you with a raised eyebrow. You nodded over to Mingi, who nodded in confirmation. Yunho didn't say anything but shot Mingi a glare.
"Anyway, why did your mum call?" You changed the subject.
"She asked if we were free for dinner tonight. Us, my parents and Gunho." Yunho asked.
"And by us, my omma means just me and (y/n). No one else." Yunho quickly added, seeing that San was going to open his mouth to say something. You laughed at San's pout.
"Sure, I'll be more than happy to have dinner with them." You smiled. Yunho nodded and took his phone out to send his mother a text, confirming both your attendance tonight, before sitting back down to continue eating his food. The other boys were kind enough to help you clean up in the mean time.
"You should all nurse your hangovers. Don't worry, I got it." You told them, waving them off from the kitchen.
"You already put us to bed and cooked for us. We can put away a few dishes." Hongjoong said. San and Jongho helped you bring the bags of trash down.
"Sit and rest. We got it, jagi." Wooyoung pushed you onto the couch and went to the kitchen.
"I told you not to call her that when Yunho's around." You heard Seonghwa scold the younger boys softly.
"I don't care, she was my jagi before she was his. Also, jagi, I'm sure you haven't broken the boyfriend news to Kyungmin, right?" Wooyoung leaned on the counter with a playful smirk.
"Don't you dare, Woo." You threatened.
"Ah, Kyungmin... Wooyoung's younger brother... I remember him." Yunho said with a fond smile.
"Oh yeah, he called you ahjusshi." Yeosang pointed out. San and Mingi snickered, hi-fiving each other while Yunho had a flat look on his face. Kyungmin was confident and sassy like Wooyoung, calling you his 'girlfriend' the entire time.
After the cleaning was done, Yunho and his friends went back to their own homes to rest from their hangovers. Plus, Yunho needed fresh clothes to change into. Your friends stayed with you longer.
"Thank goodness I'm not puffy from all the alcohol last night." You said to Seonghwa.
"Mhmm, how's your head?" He asked from your bed, sitting against your headboard and playing his nintendo switch.
"I'm fine. I took two painkillers just now." You yawned, coming over to lay next to Seonghwa. Wooyoung and Jongho had gone back to sleep the moment the others left.
"So, you and Yunho seem to be going good." Seonghwa said. You let out a small hum.
"Almost too good." You sighed.
"What do you mean?" Seonghwa asked.
"I... I'm not used to things going well, Hwa. I'm scared it all comes crashing down. Yunho's too good for me, he does so much for me and I have nothing to offer in return. I'm scared the more I let him in, the more burden he feels... Ah, I don't know!" You screamed into the blanket over your face.
"And don't say Yunho won't think it's a burden. I know that! It's my own personal guilt. It's not fair to him that he has to deal with so much of my issues." You cut him off.
"Do you feel comfortable enough to tell him everything then? Just get it out and talk to him about it." He questioned.
"He doesn't need to know yet. It won't change anything." You hugged Yunnie and Yuyu to your chest.
And as if he knew you were talking about him, Yunho texted you, asking if he could pick you up earlier to take you somewhere before the dinner with his family.
"When was the last time I had a family dinner?" You chuckled as you got up from bed.
"You had lunch with my parents last week! Without me!" Seonghwa scoffed, clearly bitter that he wasn't invited.
"Oh, that's true." You nodded with a shrug, ignoring his glare. You replied Yunho and put your phone aside to go get ready. Standing in front of your closet, you thought about what you should wear since this was officially your first meal with Yunho's family.
"How's this?" You asked, pulling out a white square neckline top with slightly puffed sleeves and a monochrome gingham skirt.
"Girly." Seonghwa replied. You squinted your eyes at him, not sure if that was a good or bad thing. But you didn't have time so you did your make up and changed.
"Here. Put this on top. Statement piece." He took out a dark maroon leather jacket.
"Thanks." You draped the jacket over your arm and went out to get your shoes. You wore suede oxford loafers.
"As usual, help yourselves to anything in the fridge. Help me say bye to Woo and Jong." You said, giving Seonghwa a hug. He wrapped his arms around you.
"Yes, mum." He teased. You rolled your eyes and he patted your back before you left. Yunho was already downstairs by your complex driveway, waiting for you. He looked up from his phone when he heard your approaching footsteps. Throwing his arms around you, he pulled you in for a kiss.
"You look nice." You smiled, helping him adjust the collar of his shirt.
"You too." He laughed. Yunho stepped aside to open the door for you and you slipped into the passenger seat. Once you were settled, he closed to door and went to the driver's seat.
"I hope it wasn't too sudden or rushed that I asked to meet you earlier." Yunho said as he started the car.
"Not at all." You shook your head.
"I'm surprised you haven't asked me why I asked to meet earlier or where we are going." He chuckled as he drove, one hand reaching over to hold yours.
"Because I know you'll tell me it's a secret or surprise and not tell me even if I ask." You scoffed, knowing Yunho well enough.
"Hmm, that's usually right but this time, I think I should tell you so you're not caught off guard. We're actually going to visit my grandmother. You introduced me to your mother, it's only fair that I do the same." Yunho smiled.
"Oh... Yunho..." You were conflicted on how to approach this subject, considering you don't handle your own grief well.
"It's okay, we'll just go then head to dinner. I wanna show her my pretty girlfriend." He chuckled. You nodded with a hum, rubbing the back of his hand with your thumb.
"We're here." Yunho stopped before a cemetary and parked the car. He held your hand and guided you up the steps.
"She's there." He held the gate open for you and walked forward.
"I only wish you told me earlier. I would have brought some offerings or flowers, especially since this is the first time I'm meeting her." You sighed as you walked to Yunho's grandmother's plot.
"It's okay, next time I'll tell you in advance." He smiled. You stood by his side when he stopped before the plot.
"Hi halmeoni." Yunho greeted with a small soft smile.
"Nice to meet you, Yunho's halmeoni. My name is (y/n)." You bowed your head respectfully.
"She forgot to add that she's my girlfriend, halmeoni. You always said my handsome face would get me a pretty girlfriend, you were right about that. She's amazing and cooks me a lot of delicious food like you did. You'll be happy to know I'm helpful in the kitchen now." Yunho grinned at you.
"Yun... Don't say that." Your cheeks heated up. But a part of you knew Yunho was trying to be all smiles for you just so he won't break down. You reached up to stroke the back of his neck.
"It's okay." You said gently, bringing him down to hug him. Even if he didn't sob, his hands gripped your waist a little tighter.
"I miss her..." He mumbled.
"I know. It doesn't get easier, it's okay." You comforted, letting him know that he didn't always have to put up a brave, happy front. Yunho's escaped tears wet the shoulder of your shirt slightly.
"Aww, I didn't want to cry today." Yunho pouted when he pulled away from your hug. You shook your head and wiped his tears.
"There's a church up the road. I'm not religious but can we go in and light a candle for her?" You asked.
"I would love that." Yunho kissed your head.
"We'll come back and visit, halmeoni. I'll bring some flowers and food next time, I promise." You smiled as you bowed. Yunho watched you with an affectionate smile, bowing to his grandmother before walking with you to the church up ahead.
You both stepped forward quietly and respectfully, lighting a candle for Yunho's grandmother using one of the lighting sticks. But then, you noticed him light another candle too.
"For your mom." Yunho explained before you could ask. You stiffened at the mention of her.
"Thank you." You smiled, looking at the candle dedicated to her. Yunho closed his eyes to say a little prayer for the both of them.
"I realised, you never told me your baptismal name." You said to Yunho as the both of you exited the church and began to walk back to his car.
"Oh, it's Stefano." He informed.
"After the first martyr, Santo Stefano?" You asked. Yunho's eyes widened at how you knew that but nodded his head.
"You always surprise me with the random pockets of information you have stored in there." Yunho chuckled, tapping the top of your head lightly and holding your hand. You laughed and stopped walking to look up at him. You wrapped your arms around his neck, tip toeing to give him a kiss.

At the tail end of a long, grueling mission that had them run around half of Eastern Europe, Laswell had given Ghost and Soap three days of leave before they'd be flying back home. She'd even booked them a hotel in a tiny spa town for two nights. Yet even though they arrived early in the day, Soap was still exhausted enough from the mission to just let Ghost handle the check in.
Something was off, though, when Ghost returned to him. He could tell by the square set of his shoulders and the slight frown on his brows. Even without his usual balaclava, his hood and face mask hid most of Ghost's expressions from inexperienced viewers.
"Good news: Laswell's paying for two dinners each at the in house restaurant. It's supposedly very good," Ghost reported.
"And the bad news?"
Ghost subtly shifted his weight. "Only had rooms with double beds left."
"You mind sharing?" Soap raised his eyebrows.
"Nah. Thought you might."
"Nah. Let's get up to our room then. I'm right knackered from the trip."
Ghost rolled his eyes at the phrasing, but didn't comment on it. When Soap punched his shoulder to signal go time, he obediently followed to the elevator.
As forewarned, the room only had one bed. But at least it was the softest, most cloud like bed Soap'd ever had the pleasure of sitting on. He wanted to immediately lie down and never get up. First things first, though.
"Mind if I take the first shower?"
Ghost shrugged. "Feel free. Thought I'd have a look around town. Find the spa. Try the public fountains. Look at the local attractions. Tourist shite."
"Have fun. I'll cover home base while you're out on recon, then."
Ghost huffed out a small laugh as he turned to leave the room.
Soap hopped into the shower for a quick wash, dried himself off with extremely fluffy towels and then got himself comfortable in the bed. He'd planned on a quick nap, but when he woke up again, it was because someone had chucked a paper bag at his head. It smelled deliciously like baked goods.
"Got you lunch, Sleeping Beauty."
"I'd be so mad at you for waking me like that," Soap said as he sat up and bit into the bun that'd smacked him in the ear. "If this weren't so good."
"Up for an afternoon trying all the healing springs? The park is twenty minutes from here and has at least ten different fountains with different properties. Maybe one can cure stupid."
"Maybe one can cure being a dick."
"You'll never know."
They spent the afternoon together trying the water from every single fountain in the park. It had clearly been built sometime in the nineteenth century, Soap pointed out, citing the architecture and decorations. The water was various kinds of salty. More than half the fountains were claimed to have uranium in the water, a fact that led both Ghost and Soap to come up with more and more outrageous movie mutations caused by too much of the spa water. Dinner at the hotel's restaurant was fantastic. The chef didn't skimp on the fat, nor on the herbs and spices.
Soap had almost forgotten about the bed in their room by the time they got ready for bed. "I can still sleep on the floor, LT."
"Why?"
"Dunno." Soap shrugged. "Thought it might be weird to you."
"'s not." Ghost took off his boots, stripped down to his undershirt and briefs before he slipped under the covers. "Fuck. 's like a cloud in here."
Quickly, before either of them could change their mine, Soap undressed and got into bed as well. His hammering heart forced him to keep a fair distance between himself and Ghost.
"Figured you'd be a cuddler," Ghost mused.
"That an offer?"
"Mh." Under the covers, Ghost reached out to pull Soap closer to him. "Don't mind if it's you."
Soap swallowed. He let himself be pulled against Ghost, head resting on a broad chest, hand over a heart that was beating it's staccato rhythm in tandem with Soap's own.
"G'night, Simon," Soap whispered, not trusting his mouth to say more.
"Night, Johnny."
When he woke up the next morning with his Johnny sprawled out on top of him, with his breath hot against his bare neck, Ghost was immensely glad he'd convinced the hotel clerk to give them a room with a double bed. Even if it was just for one more night, he'd treasure this closeness for the rest of his life.
This felt like getting tucked into a comfy warm hotel bed of my very own <3 I hope everyone else enjoys this cloud bed as much as I do god BLESS

Mon cœur
Vincent Renzi x reader
Word count: 1.9k
Tumblr media
The bright sunlight filtered through the curtains, resting itself on the young woman sprawled in the bed, limbs twisting at an odd position. Vincent watched from the doorway as his beautiful lover slept peacefully, letting the sun highlight her features.
He admired her, a hot cup of coffee warming his hands and body, the only source of warmth really.
His wife liked keeping the house cold in even the coldest of weather and who was he to argue with that. Well, he was a lawyer, a good one but he was nothing compared to the wonderful woman he called his dear heart. His silver hair fell delicately over his face, framing it nicely as he walked quietly towards the sleeping woman.
Vincent set the coffee down on the bedside and made himself comfortable beside her, trailing his fingers up her back. “ mon cœur, time to wake up.” Vincent whispers, his lips near her ear as he delicately kisses her cheek. The woman stirs, eyes opening up slowly, like a cat. He grins, running his hand down her back, letting it rest there.
“There you are. It’s time to get up.” Vincent whispers as the young woman looks up at him, deciding that it’s not the time to wake up, she pulls the covers up to her chin, trying to fall into a dreamless state. Her husband laughs and scoots closer to her, fingers twirling a strand of hair.
“Vincent, it’s too early.” A muffled voice comes from the bundled figure and he grins. She’s bringing out the full name. “Not early, chérie. It’s 10am.” He tells her and the woman groans, knowing that this battle is lost, she throws the covers off her body, shooting a glare at the silver haired man.
“You are a menace, Vincent.” She tells him, pulling him down by the collar of his sweater into a loving kiss. The taste of cigarettes and coffee lingers on his tongue, a taste that she’s quite familiar with. Vincent pulls away first, knowing that if he didn’t, they wouldn’t get anything done for the day.
“Mon coeur, you have to get up. We have errands to run.” Vincent reminds her, eyes closed in content as she runs her hands through his hair.
“Hmm,” his wife hums, “We can leave them for another day.” She whispers, intent on staying in bed. Vincent laughs and pulls away fully from her, making the woman pout. She extends her hand out to him and he pulls her up, ushering her towards the washroom to shower. She listens, but not without stealing a kiss from him first.
Vincent loved his wife. She was the one person who truly held his heart and while he once loved Sandra, she was a woman of the past. His wife however, she is his present and future. The silver haired man makes his way down from their bedroom to the kitchen, starting on breakfast. His breakfast was a cigarette and a cup of coffee, his wife would not enjoy the same breakfast he did. Not this morning at least. On his way down he turns the heat up, letting the house warm up while he cooks and she showers. Vincent knows very well that while (y/n) prefers a cold house to sleep in, she does not like a cold house to stay awake in.
About half an hour later, his waist is encapsulated in a hug, face resting between his shoulder blades. Vincent turns around, throwing his arm over his wife, placing a delicate kiss on her forehead while serving her breakfast.
She frowns when she sees his lack of breakfast. “You know very well that I don’t like you eating cigarettes and coffee for breakfast.” The younger woman scolds him, eyebrows furrowed and lips pulled into a scowl. Vincent laughs, “ You my love, are one funny woman. You do the same when you think I won’t notice.” He tells her, brushing his finger along the bridge of her nose as she feels warmth rush into her cheeks. Caught in the spider web. Vincent kisses her cheek hand, encouraging her to eat while she talks nonsensically. He doesn’t listen, not really. He likes the sound of her voice, it feels like music to his ears.
After breakfast, (Y/n) goes to do the dishes but is stopped by her husband, a delicate grasp on her wrist telling her to not go any farther than just putting them in the sink. She turns to him and frowns, “You don’t let me do much, Vince.” He turns around and puts a delicate hand on her shoulder, bending down to whisper in her ear, “Let me take care of you, my love. As you do me.” She sighs, even after 3 years of marriage, he never fails to fluster her. She looks up at him, patting his chest and kissing his jaw before making her way upstairs and grabbing their coats.
Today was a busy day ahead of them. They had to run to the store, grab groceries and other necessities and while there, a visit to the flower shop wouldn’t hurt and of course, the most important part. Stocking up on wine and cigarettes. Their idea of a good evening was far too many glasses of wine and a cigarette while they danced to classical music. Well, dance was an overstatement, Vincent would grab her and sway her around the living room, cheek resting on her head while her own rested on his shoulder. She remembers this one night, Vincent had just one yet another case and they got drunk on wine, stupidly drunk. Her memory of most of the night was hazy except this. They ate cheese and talked about everything under the stars. It was before they got married and she knew at that moment she would never spend a lifetime without him.
Their relationship raised questions at first but only due to their large age gap. Many people didn’t seem to realize that the two didn’t care when it came to their age because together, they were still silly teenagers at heart laughing and giggling at stupid jokes and pictures. It was nothing illegal, she was a good 25 years old and he was 36 when they met. Dated for two years and now they were here, married and very much in love still.
“Cherie!?” Vincent’s distant voice from the bottom of the staircase pulled the young woman back from her memories as she rushed to put on red lipsticks and grab their coats. Vincent smiled at seeing her, hands in his pockets and spine curled up, like he was a cat. He is a cat, she thought, seeing him standing like that. The young woman handed him his coat while she shrugged on her own, it was cold outside and she grimaced. She liked it when the house was cold at night but she hated when it was cold outside and there were errands that needed to be run.
“Ready?” Vincent asks her, placing a cigarette between his lips as he turns to lock their door. (Y/n) shakes her head and sighs, plucking the cigarette from his mouth and placing it in her own.
“No. It’s cold, we should’ve stayed home.” The young woman whines, grabbing onto Vincent’s hand tightly and resting her forehead against his arm, cigarette dangling from her other hand. He plucks it back from her, inhaling before exhaling slowly.
“Come on, mon cœur, we have things that need to be done.” His accent thick as the words roll easily from his mouth. The drive to the grocery store was short and quiet. Music filled through the air as (Y/n) looked out the window, admiring the snow covered trees, one hand still in Vincent’s gentle hold.
He parked the car before getting out, his wife following behind him, they made their way into the store. It wasn’t large by any means but it had everything they needed. Their hands still held together as Vincent placed a small kiss on her cheek. His affection was always so soft, like a warm blanket wrapping her up.
“Let’s get the things and leave soon please.” She huffs out, crossing her arms over her chest while her husband examines the ingredients.
“Hm, do you have any plans that you’re in such a rush?” Vincent teases her, looking at her from the side of his eye. His wife rolls her eyes at his teasing.
“I know a couple things we could do.” She whispers, running a hand through his hair, a pleasant shudder going up his spine.
“Mhm.” He mumbles, at a loss of words. Only his wife was able to manage to leave the man speechless. His entire job was about talking yet as soon as she says anything suggestive, his mind goes into overdrive and the only thing that comes out is a mumble.
She notices it and walks closer, finger trailing up chest before stopping to caress his cheek, “Cat got your tongue, Vince?” She asks, a teasing smile on her face. He sighs and lets out a small, shy laugh. Putting the items in their cart, he throws an arm over her shoulder, pulling her into him, even closer than she was before.
“You, my love, manage to catch my tongue.” He tells her, gripping her neck lightly, angling her face to kiss her. It was a small kiss, nothing too intimate, no. That was saved for the privacy of their own home. They made their way down the isles, filling the cart with necessities and other things that they just felt like getting. It took them a good hour but that’s only because Vincent insisted on finding the best of the best.
“Come on, old man. I’m tired and hungry.” She grumbles, grabbing onto his arm to pull him forward and he lets her.
“Well chérie, it is time for lunch.” The older man states in an obvious tone. She looks at him for a moment before throwing her head back and letting out a small laugh. Vincent laughs with her. He loves the sound of her laugh, it reminds him of home. She is his home.
The two made their way to the car, filling the trunk up with groceries before heading to their respective spots. Vincent pauses for a minute, pulling her in by her waist and kissing her fervently. Hands on her waist as her back digs into the car, her hands wander to his neck, tugging the hair at the base of it. He pulls away, letting his forehead rest against hers.
“Where did that come from?” She asks him, doe eyes peering up into his own, making him smile.
“Je t’aime.” Vincent whispers, pulling back from her, she stares at him, hands on his face,
“Je t’aime aussi.” She replies as the older man leans into her touch.
“Come on, my love, let’s go home.” She pats his chest, making her way over to the passenger side.
Home wasn’t a building for Vincent. It was her. She’s his home. The scent of her perfume lingering in the air is home. The lipstick marks on their shared cigarette is home. Her warm body pressed up against his in bed is home. She’s his home and where she goes, he goes with her. Their souls make home in each other. If soulmates existed then she was his. He would seek for her in death and find her in each lifetime simply because his heart belongs to her and without her, Vincent is just a man without a home and heart.

Sick Timothee with fem reader as caretaker plz ❤️
Thanks to You
Summary: Fem!reader takes care of feverish Laurie
A/N: Decided to write using Timothee's Laurie as the main character because the time period makes fevers much more scary.
Tumblr media
Laure's restless stirring awakened you. You blinked, unable to focus since it was still dark out. You reached your hand out to place gentle, comforting pressure on his arm, as you often did if he was suffering a nightmare, but instantly drew it back in shock. He was putting off more heat than your fireplace.
You grabbed the oil lamp on your nightstand and raised the flame. There was a sheen of sweat blanketing his forehead and chest, though he was shivering like he had been out in the snow. "Fever," you breathed out worriedly.
You jumped out of bed and quickly set to work gathering supplies. You immersed a cloth in water and wrung it out to place on his forehead. You rubbed the herb poultice Mrs. March had shown you how to make onto the soles of his feet and covered them with socks. He shifted his head side to side, mumbling your name.
"[Y/N], [Y/N]," he muttered weakly.
You ran your fingers through his damp curls. "I'm here, my love. I'm here."
"[Y/N]?" Laurie's glazed eyes opened, but they never focused on you.
He's delirious, you thought to yourself. You looked out the window, countenance falling as you realized the blizzard meant you could not send for help. The whole town was snowed in. "You have to get better, Laurie," you stated as you cradled your slight baby bump with your free hand.
He became slightly more alert as the dawn arrived. You took the opportunity to get him to drink some water. He was shaking so much from the throes of fever that he could not hold the cup without spilling. You sat beside him to support his head and hold the cup to his lips. You were grateful to see that at least some water made it into his mouth. Exhausted, he flopped his head back onto the pillow and looked up at you.
"Y-you should k-keep your distance. You d-don't n-need to get sick, too," Laurie said through chattering teeth.
"Nonsense. Who else is going to take care of you, hmm?" You half-smiled, not quite enough to reach your eyes. You wet the cloth again and gently wiped his neck, chest, and arms. "Are you hungry?" you asked when you finished, but there was no response. He had already fallen asleep again. You surveyed the dark purple circles under his eyes and the pallor of his skin.
You rose from your perch by Laurie's side to start some soup for when he woke again. He came to about an hour later. You helped him sit up against the headboard so he could eat. He scowled when you attempted to spoon feed him. "Come on, now. You need to eat something to keep your strength, and I'm sure you don't want to spill hot soup in your lap," you chided. He rolled his eyes and acquiesced. You chuckled. At least he was feeling good enough to give you an attitude.
The food did him some good, because soon he wanted to get up and move around. You helped him to the front room to his armchair. While he read by the fire, you changed the damp sheets. It wasn't long before he was ready to lay down again. The two of you repeated this cycle throughout the day.
When night came once more, the fever ravaged again. You covered him with every blanket in the house and practically laid on top of him to warm him up. The shaking eventually relented, giving both of you a reprieve. You fell asleep sitting next to the bed, holding his hand while your head rested on your arm.
You woke to the feeling of a hand playing with your hair. You groggily raised your head and were greeted by Laurie's smile. "Good morning, my dove."
You smiled at the nickname and placed a kiss on his forehead. "Your fever broke," you said in relief. Tears welled up in the corners of your eyes. "I was so worried."
"I'm alright, thanks to you."

Blue and Fire Engine Red, Pt 4
Special thanks to @magicalstripedhorse, who helped keep this installment on track. :)
-----
“Oh no,” Kara drawls the moment she steps out onto the stoop of her building eight days later. “You have got to be kidding me.”
Lena smirks, leaning casually against the side of an old beat up pick up truck. The red ball-cap on her head is just as worn, its frayed bill extending backwards from Lena’s head.
“Flannel? Really?” Kara eyes the shirt in question where it’s tied around Lena’s waist. “Can you be any more of a lesbian?”
Lena spreads her hands. “We’re going to a farmer’s market,” she says. “What did you expect? An LBD?”
“Hm,” Kara hums, bouncing down the steps to greet her girlfriend with a kiss. “Maybe for dinner later.”
She definitely wouldn’t mind seeing Lena in a little black dress. Her mind conjures up an image that very nearly makes her pull Lena back upstairs, but the call of fresh fruit and vegetables proves to be too strong.
“All right, Tegan and Sara, let’s get going.”
The drive is somewhat familiar, as Kara has been to the farmers market before, but it’s been a while and it takes longer than Kara remembers. She’s not mad about it though– it gives her time to catch up with Lena about their weeks, which are relatively tame for a week in the life of first responders.
Lena had a few oven fires, a serious case of whiplash during a fender bender, and not one, but two cats stuck in a tree. Definitely tops Kara’s days of petty larceny, jaywalking, and a single wellness check. But she knows better than to comment on the relative slowness– the moment it’s acknowledged is the moment the sky starts to fall.
Just when the city gives way to suburbs, Lena turns the truck into a graveled parking lot. Kara takes note of the cars already there, and the thin stream of people already circulating through the stalls. It’s only mid-morning, and she expects the crowd will only grow as the day progresses.
“Come on,” Kara calls as she hops out of the truck, slamming the dusty door behind her. “I need asparagus.”
She gets her asparagus, and much more. She snags an artichoke and some lettuce as well as some strawberries she makes a note to prep for the next time Lena comes over. Lena splits away for a short moment, and comes back with fava beans and a joke about a nice chianti that makes Kara laugh.
Produce leads to cuts of various meats out of coolers. Lena nudges her. “You like steak?”
Kara’s mouth waters. “Oh, yeah.”
Lena requests two prime ribs, and tucks them and a slab of bacon into her tote alongside her fava beans. By the time they get to the baked goods and crafts, Kara’s own bag is sitting heavy in the crook of her elbow. She moves it to her shoulder instead, and has just prodded Lena towards a live herbs vendor when a call splits the air.
“Hey, Sarge!”
Kara turns on instinct, and to her surprise Lena does as well. The expectant set of her features strikes Kara as odd, but she focuses her attention instead on who might have called for her. She doesn’t recognize any of the oncoming faces, which makes her frown.
“Sarge!”
The crowd parts just long enough for a man in a wheelchair to roll out from the throng of people. His face is round and creased with joy as he coasts towards them, but Kara pulls back slightly when she doesn’t recognize him.
Lena steps forward. “Hey, Gonzales.”
Kara watches stunned as she extends her hand and engages in a sort of handshake with the man– palms, backs, and a fist bump top and bottom. Clearly, Lena is more than familiar with the man. Kara’s gaze darts back and forth between them, taking in Lena’s easy smile and the man’s eager countenance, which had yet to dim even when he turned his gaze to Kara.
“Yo,” Gonzales says with a grin. “When Jess said you stopped by the bar with a new lady friend, I knew she must have been a looker, but damn, Sarge–”
“Watch your mouth, Corporal.”
Kara steps up to introduce herself. “Sergeant, huh?” she says, smirking. Lena has yet to return to the subject of her time in the service, so Kara is thrilled to have even just her rank. “Who’d’a thunk?”
“Yes, ma’am,” Gonzales confirms. “The sergeant here was the best damn medic in the company. Saved our unit’s ass more than a couple times.” He rolls forward a few inches to offer a handshake. “Hector Gonzales, ma’am. Pleasure to meet one of the Sarge’s lady friends.”
“Police Sergeant Kara Danvers,” Kara returns. “It’s a pleasure to meet you as well, Corporal.”
The man waves her off. “Please, it’s just Hector or Gonzales now. Gotta get used to the civvie life now. Right, Sarge?”
Lena rolls her eyes good-naturedly. “Sure.”
“You said you’re Jess’ brother?” Kara briefly scans Gonzales and notes an above the knee amputation and a serious burn scar on his right arm that stretched from his wrist to disappear under the sleeve of his t-shirt.
Hector nods enthusiastically. “Yes, ma’am!” He shoots a bright look towards Lena. “Did she tell you she got early admission to NCU? Honors track.”
Lena beams. “No, she didn’t! That’s wonderful!”
“First choice and everything. She’ll be the first one in the family to go to college, you know.”
“What is she planning to study?” Kara asks.
Hector’s grin is infectious. “Art. Our mother wanted her to be a lawyer, because that girl argue like nothing else, but she's had her sights on art from the beginning. Sarge has seen some of her drawings, when she sent some to me overseas. Remember Sarge?”
Lena nods. “They were pretty amazing.”
Kara smiles, but a tug of sadness pulls at some of her joy for Jess. She’d almost gone to art school once. That had been the goal, before the shooting. After everything that happened… well, she hasn’t picked up a brush in a long time.
“Hey,” Hector says, pulling Kara’s attention back to the conversation. “I’m getting some friends together to watch the game next weekend. You guys should come!”
Kara has no idea what game he means, or even what sport, but Lena nods. “Yeah, shoot me the details and we’ll try to make it.”
“Wilco, Sarge. Oh! And you can invite any of your folks from the firehouse too. I can tell them how lucky they are to have you.”
Lena’s cheeks flush pink. “Gonzales, I swear to god–”
“Hector!” A young hispanic woman calls from further down the aisle. “You were supposed meet me at– oh!”
“Cecilia!” Hector waves at her, beckoning her closer. “C’mere, this is the Sarge!”
Cecilia’s go wide. “Oh! Sergeant Reilly! I’ve heard so much about you!”
Lena’s easy smile widens. “Uh oh,” she groans comedically. She reaches for Kara, drawing her forward into the conversation. “This is Kara.”
“Pleased to meet you,” Kara offers gamely. They exchange handshakes, with smiles all around. Kara revels in being included, but even more so in the sense that she’s being allowed a further glimpse into who Lena is.
Hector and Cecilia are sweet together. Hector is engaged and enthusiastic, while Cecilia is a little more reserved. But Lena converses easily, laughing and grinning, totally at ease in the presence of her fellow soldier. Eventually, Cecilia reminds Hector that they’re almost due to be somewhere else.
“Right, right,” Hector nods. He prepares to roll away, but pauses to peg Lena with a stern gaze. “Game, next weekend. You’ll tell your crew?”
Lena nods with a laugh. “Yeah, yeah, I’ll let ‘em know. Good catching up, Gonzalez. Take it easy.”
“You too, Sarge! Rolling out!”
Lena watches them head off, then turns back towards Kara with a chagrined roll of her eyes. Her mouth opens, but Kara cuts her off. “Don’t you dare apologize,” she warns. “He was delightful.”
“Yeah,” Lena agrees. “He’s a good guy. Him and Jess both. They’re good eggs.”
“And besides, anyone who adores you like he does is definitely good in my book.”
This time, Lena’s roll of her eyes are directed at Kara. “Ah yes. Remind me to not let you two in a room alone. Who knows what shenanigans you’d get into–”
Suddenly a cry further down the aisle breaks through the buzz of people. Without conscious thought, or even a look between them, Kara and Lena both begin to push towards the call. Breaking through the circle already starting to form, they find a young woman seizing on the ground.
Lena immediately kneels beside her, smoothly untying her flannel and folding it as a pillow to pad the woman’s head against the pavement. “Calling a bus,” Kara says briefly, already pulling her phone out to dial.
“Hold up,” Lena calls, her voice firm with easy authority. “Got a medical alert bracelet here.” She flips the silver tag to read the inscription, then nods to herself. “No ambulance. Known condition.”
Kara nods her acknowledgement, pocketing her phone as she crouches. “What do you need?”
“Some water would be good, if you can find it.”
“On it,” Kara confirms, rising back to her feet. But the time she returns with a bottle of water from a nearby vendor, the girl’s seizing has stopped. She answers Lena’s questions with slurred, mumbling responses, but Lena doesn’t look concerned.
“Okay, Lydia, you’re doing great. Just take your time.”
Kara kneels to one knee, handing over the bottle of water. “Any chance she hit her head?”
“I’ll evaluate once she’s a little more with it. So far nothing concerning.” She glances towards the lingering crowd. “Could you get us some space?”
The remaining onlookers moved on once Kara started waving them away, assuring them the situation was handled. When the last resume their shopping, Lydia is blinking up at Lena with eyes rapidly sharpening with focus.
“Welp. That’s embarrassing,” she delivers drolly, pressing a hand to her forehead.
“There you are,” Lena says, gently giving Lydia’s shoulder a pat. “Lydia, my name is Lieutenant Riley with the National City Fire Department. Do you feel ready to sit up? I’ve some water here I’d like you to sip.”
Lydia manages to sit upright with only a little bit of an assist from Lena. She accepts the open water bottle with both hands, which tremble as they lift the water to her lips. She takes several long gulps before groaning.
“Do you mind if I check your head for bumps?” Lena asks. “We want to make sure you didn’t hit your head on the way down.”
Lydia nods her consent, and holds still as Lena begins to investigate the back of her head with expert fingers. “Anything hurt?”
“Just my pride,” Lydia quips. When she catches Kara’s sympathetic gaze, she continues. “It’s still relatively new. My doctor says it should get better with medication, but… ugh! All I wanted was some asparagus!” She sighs. “At least I felt this one coming on– managed to sit down before it hit.”
Lena pulls away, placing her hands on her knees as she gives her patient a warm smile. “Well, I didn’t find any bumps or lumps, so it looks like that did the trick. Good thinking.”
“Oh god,” Lydia groans. “You didn’t call an ambulance, did you?”
“Nope.” Lena nods towards the girl’s wrist. “Medic alert did its job.”
“Thank goodness,” Lydia sighs in relief. “I seriously can not afford another trip.”
Lena chuckles, rubbing Lydia’s back. “I can imagine. How do you feel about trying to stand? I’d feel better if we got you to some shade.”
She gives Lydia a hand up, who seems steady on her feet. Once satisfied the girl wasn’t about to keel over, Lena nods towards a small patch of trees. “How about that bench over there?”
Kara hovers, adrift without a way to help. She carries hers and Lena’s bags of goodies along with her as they all move towards the bench.
“How are you feeling?” Lena checks in once they’re seated.
Lydia pauses, taking stock. “Just tired, I think. Always feel like I got hit by a freight train, but it usually goes away.” She glances at Lena. “You guys seriously don’t have to stay.”
“I’d feel better if we did. Just until you feel well enough to finish up and get yourself home.”
“Okay.” Lydia stares at the open water bottle resting on her thigh, then looks back to Lena. “You said you were a firefighter?”
“And medic,” Kara offers, unable to keep quiet. Lena’s eyes flash at her, but in affection or irritation, Kara can’t tell.
Lydia’s eyes spark with interest. “I want to go to med school after undergrad. I don’t know what discipline yet, though.”
Kara listens to them converse for several minutes, propping herself up against the nearest tree. Closing her eyes against the sun, she breathes deep the smell of spring blossoms and fresh cut grass, letting the hum of their voices lull her to a state between waking and sleeping. Well, maybe more asleep than not, considering the bench is empty when she next blinks her eyes open. Lydia is nowhere to be found, and Lena is sitting on the ground beside her, scrolling through her phone.
“You could have woken me up,” Kara gripes half-heartedly.
“But it’s such a nice day to lean against a tree,” Lena returns, half teasing.
Kara reaches over until she finds Lena’s hand, lacing their fingers together. Neither of them move to rise.
“You were amazing just now.”
Lena merely shrugs. “Anyone in my position would have done the same.”
“We both know there aren’t many people who can do what you do.”
A hum answers her, but Lena refrains from saying anything else. Kara bites back a frown. She knows Lena doesn’t feel comfortable sharing anything about her time overseas as a combat medic– not entirely unexpected. Some of Kara’s veteran coworkers feel the same. And not all first responders respond well to positive recognition, which isn’t uncommon in the first responder community either. But Kara can’t shake the feeling in her gut that she heard a note of shame in Lena’s voice.
Whatever it is, Kara resolves to know it better, no matter how long it takes.
“Wanna get out of here?” Lena asks quietly. “I think I hear a steak dinner calling your name.”
Kara grins, but closes her eyes and leans her head against the tree behind her once more. “Just a few more minutes.”
She hears Lena smile, then a rustle as Lena leans back as well.
A good day indeed.

〖Summary: Natasha returns early from a mission with a bad case of the flu.〗
〖Word Count: 1.3k〗
〖Pairing: Sick Natasha x R〗
〖Notes: I hope you all enjoy this!〗
You sighed and slammed your book shut, unable to on the words on the page. Natasha was supposed to be back from her mission in two days and you were a mixture of excited and nervous. She had been radio silent for days, only sending messages concerning the mission.
That meant no sweet texts to you, only communication with Cap and Tony.
It was standard for a mission like this, she was in a potentially dangerous situation and to minimize any danger they minimized contact. Even though you understood it didn’t mean you had to like it. You had continued to train while she was away, the physical act of hitting something distracting you from your anxiety. If you could keep your energy up you could keep the emotions at bay.
With a frustrated groan you pulled out your laptop, resigning yourself to some YouTube cat compilations. Those usually held your attention, and it helped that cats were adorable. Maybe you could convince Tony to let you have a cat, if you laid out a good enough argument he might let you.
For a while you let yourself be captured by the videos moving across the screen, watching the pixelated cats fall off of things only to get up unharmed, attack humans, and be afraid of toasters. You were pulled out of your feline trance by a slight jiggle of your doorknob.
You looked up from your laptop, staring at the door handle and reaching for your weapon. No one was supposed to come into your room, and you had strict rules about knocking before opening the door. You grasped the smooth handle of the knife under your pillow, tensing your body in preparation for a fight.
There were a million thoughts swirling through your mind, how had someone gotten into the tower? Why hadn’t FRIDAY alerted you? Were the others safe?
A dark silhouette appeared in the doorway, and you threw your knife, the blade sinking into the wood of the door frame beside the person's head. It was a warning shot, you didn’t miss. Your goal was to scare the person off to avoid an altercation that you didn’t want to get into.
“Jesus Y/n, what the fuck was that?” A raspy voice asked, someone flicked on the light illuminating a very grumpy-looking Natasha. She walked into the room and threw her toolbelt onto the dresser, being much less careful than she usually was. She loved that belt; it had saved her life many times and she always handled it with care.
“You fucking scared me! You’re supposed to be in Latvia, not breaking into my bedroom!” You shot back, lowering yourself against the headboard, the tension leaving your body. The adrenaline coursing through your veins began to calm down, slowing your rapid heartbeat.
“And you’re supposed to be asleep, it's 2:00 in the morning.” You scoffed and rolled your eyes.
“Like you're any better,” Your words trailed off as a sharp sneeze cut through the room, leaving Natasha hunched over and sniffing.
“Why are you back early?” Suspicion laced your words as you took in her disheveled appearance. When she was in uniform, she went to extensive efforts to make herself look professional even in a more relaxed setting.
This time her clothes were slightly wrinkled, and her hair was a mess. You didn’t expect her to look picture-perfect after coming back from a mission, but she did try to make herself look stoic coming home to impress the men. She turned to face you, revealing an unnatural flush to her cheeks and red-chapped nostrils, the telltale signs of the flu.
“I think I caught something; my head is pounding. Steve pulled me, decided I wasn’t healthy enough to be in the field. He threatened to come and get me himself.” She mumbled, sniffling again. She rubbed her nose against her sleeve and coughed into the air.
You smiled at the idea, picturing her arguing with Steve who would seriously come and get her if he felt the need.
“Okay love, go get showered and I’ll get some supplies. Do you think you’ll be okay to do it by yourself?” You asked, concerned that she might fall over if left alone. Natasha rolled her eyes, wincing at the motion. She shook her head slightly as if to clear it then nodded.
“I’ll be fine. Just want to get it over with, then sleep.”
“Yeah, I bet you do. It’ll feel really good I promise.” When you heard the shower running you climbed out of bed, getting to work. You rifled through the drawers of your bedside table and pulled out a bottle of Nyquil alongside a thermometer, a box of tissues, and a bag of cough drops, all things left over from the last time you’d gotten sick.
Next, you tiptoed into the kitchen and got a glass of water and one of juice, not wanting to make tea until Natasha asked for it. She rarely drank it and you knew she didn’t like it but you’d be happy if she consumed any fluids.
When you returned to your room you were surprised to find your shivering girlfriend curled up in the bed, her wet hair splayed out over the pillow. You’d only been gone for ten minutes tops, you hadn’t expected her to have showered so quickly.
“Did you enjoy your shower?” You asked, setting the glasses of water and juice on the small table by her side of the bed. She shrugged and sniffled thickly, rubbing her fist against her red nose.
“Could you pass me a tissue please?” Her voice was so stuffy, poor thing sounded awful. And she didn’t look much better, not that you would tell her that. You grabbed a tissue from the already prepared box and pressed it into her hand, turning a way to simulate privacy as she blew her nose weakly.
“Oh, my sweet Natty, you really don’t feel well do you…” You muttered, more to yourself than to her. Natasha nodded and turned to look at you with a pout set on her chapped lips. Barely three seconds later her gaze unfocused and she snapped forward with a rough sneeze that she didn’t have time to cover.
“Okay well that wet hair isn’t going to help. Sit up for me, take some medicine, and I’ll dry your hair while we watch a movie.” The redhead did what you instructed, lifting herself onto the pillows with a wheezy sigh.
You poured out a dose of the medication and watched her drink it, making sure that she got all of it. The gulp of “grape” flavored goop was quickly followed by half a glass of juice. You were internally pleased with the amount of juice she had just willingly drank, usually keeping her hydrated was a chore.
“Get comfy and pick a movie, I’ll grab the hair dryer.” She settled on Jaws for reasons that you couldn’t explain. You knew she loved it but you didn’t exactly consider it a good sick day movie. It didn’t matter, she already looked half asleep. You doubted she’d make it through the first act even with the sound of the hair dryer.
“C’mere baby, let me fuss over you.” You climbed into bed and pulled her into your lap, positioning her so that she was laying back against you with her head on your chest. Just as you’d predicted it didn’t take long for her eyes to start drooping, the sound and warmth of the hair dryer seemed to be lulling her to sleep.
“M’sorry for getting sick.” She mumbled, a huge yawn escaping her lips. You rubbed her shoulder and pulled the blankets up around her, making sure that she was comfortable.
“No apologizes necessary Nat. You just relax, I’ll be right here when you wake up.”
