#i wanted to redraw that one picture of uinen and osse I did forever ago #basically I subscribe to the idea that maiar and the valar can change their forms when they feel like it #they take on a more human/elvish look when they are around people #usually #sometimes they stay in their more primal form for shits and giggles #the maiar of ulmo are the largest of any of the ainur when they’re in their primal eldrich form #they are also the only ones of the bodied maiar that can take on an elemental form #usually manifesting themselves as the wind or storms #ulmo usually spends his time at the bottom of the sea #but on occasion he’s known to wander the shore as an older man chatting with fisherman and sailors #lmao just some thoughts :) #uinen loves to visit coastal elven cities #especially Sirion and Aqualonde #she brings osse with her sometimes #if it’s a quick visit they don’t change their forms to look more elvish #the elves there are comfortable with their more monsterous forms #my art #tolkien #silmart #silmarillion #my artwork #uinen #osse #ulmo #just for shits and giggles #mermay #salmar
