INTRODUCING HELGA. hello everyone, i'm helga! i'm 25+, prefer she/her pronouns and am in the est timezone! i play rain & jaeyong who are portrayed by lisa and baekhyun respectively. this blog is my main one, while jaeyong is on a sideblog, so a lot of my correspondence will be from this one. you can also find me on discord @ storiiies, so feel free to hit me up there!

INTRODUCING RAIN & JAEYONG. my first muse is the lovely rain itsarakun who is 27 years old and is meant to be a visitor, though she is working as a fitness trainer at yuseong community center, so her roots maybe already be taking place in yuseong bay after staying for 3 years now. her profile page can be found here! my second muse is cha jaeyong, and he is a 31 year old lifelong resident of yuseong bay. he works as a beekeeper, offering pollination services to local farms, but he also sells surplus honey at a farmer's market stall. his profile can be found here!

RAIN'S PROMPT ANSWERS

when did your muse first arrive in yuseong bay? "it was, ohhh, about three years ago now? it was so foggy, i could barely see the bay, but i still felt more at home here than i had in awhile. i had to get away from chiang mai ... a bad relationship, you see. i'll spare you the details, but my family always used to come on vacation to yuseong bay and there was someone here i was friends with when i was younger. i decided to go out on a limb and reach out to them and long story short, here i am."

what does an average day look like for your muse? "i wake up pretty early and i'll usually have some breakfast or a shake, if i don't grab something from the café on the way to work. then i head to the community center, or to the gym more specifically, usually with my playlist at full volume by that point, but i digress. i'll spend a good hour stretching before my shift starts, because you do not want to experience a muscle giving out or locking up on you when you're holding a heavy weight. then i'll start working with my usual clients, walking them through certain pacing issues, showing them new techniques or spotting for them. then i might join in on a dance or baking class, depending on what's going on at the center that day? sometimes i'll stop by the bar on my way home to have a drink with a couple of friends, or i'll meet with my pai gow club to play a few games to wind down after work. then it's pretty much home to have dinner, maybe read a little bit and then i'll head to bed."

where can your muse usually be found? "i can't lie, i spend a lot of my time at the community center. whether it's at the gym or in the pool, at one of the other classes or just out on the grounds. it's a nice, peaceful place to be."

how does your muse feel about hanhwa resort? "i guess i'm not really sure? on the one hand, people who stay there come to the gym sometimes and need a trainer, so it kicks more business my way, but ... i also can't help but feel like it's slowly taking away some of the magic of yuseong bay? commercializing it, i guess you could say. i feel bad for the people it's affecting negatively."

is there an aspiration for your muse to stay in or leave yuseong bay? "i would just like some time, i suppose. some would argue i've had more than enough, but the truth is, i'm still finding out who i am and what i want to do. i hate when people act like i should have it all figured out. i don't think that will ever happen, but i hope being here can help."

describe your muse's wardrobe. frequently pairs hoodies, jeans and sneakers if she’s not strolling around in vibrantly colored sportswear. her fashion choices are fairly basic, prioritizing comfort and breathability over style. when she does dress up, she likes an elegant a-line silhouette.

what is a color, word, and emoji that you feel describes your muse? i think an ashy grayish blue fits her because of its difficulty in placing as it pertains to emotion or mood. the word i think fits her the most is 'drapetomania'. the emoji that is best suited for rain is probably 🌧.

three strong likes and dislikes for your muse. likes: exercise, cold water & cats. dislikes: scarecrows, gossip & crash dieting.

three positive and negative traits for your muse. positive: amicable, energetic & sensible. negative: stubborn, flighty & distant.

three talents and shortcomings for your muse. she's rather adept at helping people build muscle or get active, as she's very encouraging and energetic in the gym. she's also a talented dancer, always volunteering to help out in dance classes held at the community center. rain has a talent for pai gow too, having been an avid player since she was a child, and she does very well in tournaments. her biggest shortcoming is her uncommunicative nature, as she often would rather suffer in silence than tell people close to her something is wrong. she's also prone to running away from a difficult situation rather than facing it head on and resolving things. she can also be a little defense if she feels people are being accusatory towards her.

what is a book/tv series/movie/video game character that you feel your character relates to? i definitely think rain has a similarity to leah from stardew valley, but i also draw parallels between her and sophie hatter in how mild-mannered, sensible and humble they both are.

a relevant goal or arch for your character to overcome. i would like to develop rain's ability to trust other people with her feelings in all facets of life, as it's arguably her biggest struggle. i would also like for her to let go of all the anger and resentment she feels for her ex since it's really only hurting her in the long run.

Being an idol is hard. Being a female idol can be even harder. You feel as if your looks and actions are more scrutinized than your boyfriend’s atleast. The very same boyfriend is currently on stage with his members, the sole reason your band even has a sold out show, considering you haven’t been in the game for too long. Your group having already started the show, being the opening act. The hour you guys were onstage going by in a blur of loud music, bright lights, difficult choreography, specific poses, all while trying not to forget one lyric of your songs. Otherwise being publicly shamed for the innocent mishap.

Kuties consisted of four members, including you.

Jada was the spunky one, the life of the party, the one who wanted to be everyone’s friend, can be very blunt, in the nicest way possible. Lisa was the fashionista of the group who always stayed up to date on the latest trends for herself and the band. Always came off intimidating when you first meet her, but always has your best interest at heart. She was who you were closest to in the group. And then there was Kora, with a K. Since she legally changed her name to be so. Claiming to be the leader of the group, even going so far as saying that she is the sole reason for your group name starting with a K instead of a C. To put it bluntly, she’s the bitch of the group, the attention seeker, the one who will do anything for clout to stay on top and relevant in social media, the boyfriend stealer.

Ever since the tour started she’s had one goal in mind. To land herself a kpop idol boyfriend that can further her success. I doubt she cared if she ended up being a trophy girlfriend. She was that desperate. What you didn’t understand is why she had your boyfriend in her line of sight, when there were plenty others out there who were single. You swear she only did it to spite you. Knowing fully well that is quite possibly your number one fear, being with a popular idol such as Taehyung.

The sad part is, you wouldn’t blame him if he did choose to go that path. Not that you really think he ever would, so you hoped. As much of a bitch as she was, she was gorgeous, and she used it to her advantage to get what she wanted. She had it all. The long, luscious hair. The slender, equally as long legs. Perfect body proportions that had her wearing a size 00 outfit. A glistening, pearly white smile. She was even able to pull off the different colored eye contacts, flawlessly. She was beauty, she was grace, she was everything you weren’t.

And then there was Kim Taehyung. One of seven of the popular Kpop boy band, BTS. A global phenomenon. Both wanted and envied by many. How you managed to catch his eye, you would never know. Compared to your other group members, you were plain Jane. You were short, had more curves than most female idols, hated wearing eye contacts, wore the bare minimum in make up. If it wasn’t for Lisa, you wouldn’t even have good fashion sense. More than likely just opting for a semi fancy shirt, and jeans, with heels. You always had to wear platform shoes or heels, to make up for the height difference between you and the other members. You hated it. But you loved your job. Beauty is pain, after all.

But despite all that, Taehyung swears up and down that he is utterly in love with you. He loves everything about you that you hate, and never fails to remind you on a daily basis, knowing you are your own worst critic. And not once has he given you any reason to ever distrust him. Until now.

The concert was over, both groups deciding to head out to a locally well known club as a chance to bond and get to know one another better. At first, you were all about the idea. Because yes, you may have been dating Taehyung for a little over a year now, but you weren’t as close to the other members as you would’ve liked. So you thought this would be the perfect opportunity, especially since you’ll have a couple drinks in you and will be able to open up more to everyone, usually being the one who is closed off and reserved.

But now? You wished you never stepped foot in this club. Wanting to somehow turn back time and take the out that Taehyung originally offered you before agreeing to come to the club with you. It was you who begged him to come out and help you become more social. Him reluctantly agreeing in the end, knowing how important it was to you to get to know the boys more, his family more. That fact alone making his heart swell with joy. How could he say no?

Lisa gave you a side eye glance, worry plastered on her normally nonchalant face. Jada, meaning well, you’re sure, sat on the other side of Lisa in the booth you were currently sitting in and stated the obvious elephant in the room.

“Uh, y/n? Why is your boyfriend kissing the evil witch? She knows you two are together, right?” She asked with mild curiosity. Leaning across the table in front of Lisa, squinting her eyes in the dim lights to verify that yep, that was Kim Taehyung and Kora with their lips locked next to the bar. Your nails dug into your thighs covered by your baby blue two piece set made by Louis Vuitton, courtesy of Lisa's closet. Your eyes not leaving the pair in question for even a second. You wish you had an answer.

Kim Taehyung went to the bar with one purpose. To get you your favorite mixed cocktail drink, and his beer. While waiting, he leaned against the bar counter sideways with his forearm resting on top, fingers drumming to the beat of the song that was playing, the other hand finding place in his slacks pocket. Ironically, the song was one he was very familiar with. It was ‘Waste It On Me ft. BTS’, one of their collaborated songs. He started humming to the lyrics, looking over at you with your friends, smiling to himself at how lucky he was to have you. He watched you throw your head back with laughter, and licked his lips, wishing he could kiss the exposed neck and–

A perfectly manicured hand is what broke him out of his lewd thoughts of you, having curled itself around Taehyung’s arm in a sensual way, which made his brows furrow in confusion. Cause he was still looking at you and you were definitely no where near him. So who was grabbing his arm in such an intimate way?

Following the hand to a face, he locked eyes with Cora, or, he thought mockingly, Kora with a K. He snickered inwardly, hearing your voice in his head. Which made him subconsciously smile outwardly still looking at Kora. You never failed to have that effect on him. Unbeknownst to him, Kora took his loving smile as a gesture towards her and her actions, giving the poor girl sense of hope in her icebox heart. A sickeningly sweet smile was now plastered on the girl’s face, before attempting to project a persona of seduction with her whole body, leaning towards the oblivious victim of hers wantonly, pushing her barely covered boobs against his chest.

It wasn’t until he felt the digging of Kora’s manicured nails in his arm, that she was still holding onto for some reason, and feel the added weight of her chest pressed awkwardly up against his, did he snap out of his own daydream of you. Looking at her with a now clear head, smile wiped off his face that was replaced by a grimace. He could smell the alcohol that emitted from her body in grotesque waves that made him want to gag, so he did. Not that she cared, in her drunken state.

What was taking that bartender so long to make two drinks? He thought bitterly, and unfairly, to be truthful. He knew the bartender had his hands full with the crowd alone that his group and yours brought. Having also gained the attention of those who always seemed to know where celebrities went in their downtime, which had the club packed within hours.

Taehyung really didn’t want to make a scene in public. Both for her sake, and his. He tried to shuffle back away from the clearly inebriated woman, causing her to fall forward into him as she lost what little footing she had in her drunken state. But even in her stupor, she still knew when to use something to her advantage. And this was one of those times, unfortunately for Taehyung. Who not even a moment later had Kora’s lips on his, and in his state of shock was even able to get her tongue to slither into his mouth.

Not even hesitating, he pushed the woman back off of him, not enough to make her fall. He’s not that kind of guy. But enough to finally gain enough distance between them that he can breathe some semi fresher air that didn’t consist of her alcoholic pores that radiated vodka to everyone within a 3ft radius.

Wiping his mouth with the back of his hand, a look of disgust on his face, he stated loud enough for her to hear his words clearly, cause he was never going to say them again.

“If you pull that kind of stunt again, I will sue you for sexual harassment. Do you understand?” He looked her dead in the eyes without emotion and waited for her to respond to him in anyway so he knew for a fact that she heard him loud and clear. Tears started to pool in the woman’s eyes as she nodded her head slightly, the situation only offering her the solace of sobering up a little bit.

The bartender finally set down Taehyung’s drinks that he’s been waiting for. Nodding at the bartender in thanks, he picked them up, one in each hand. Giving the woman one last glare, he turned his back on her and walked through the several crowds of people and back to the table he saw you at with your friends.

The only problem? By the time he arrived, you were no longer there next to said friends. And they didn’t offer him any explanation of where it was you wandered off too.

“You’re a complete asshole, you know that right?”

Jada bluntly stated with a slurp of her cocktail.

“Seriously, Taehyung, what exactly were you thinking locking lips with Kora?”

Lisa asked with disappointment in her voice.

“As cliché as this is going to sound, it’s the absolute truth. She kissed me. I didn’t kiss her. And I immediately pushed her off of me, which I’m guessing you all didn’t watch long enough to witness me do. But it’s true. I would never hurt y/n. I love her. Only her.” Taehyung desperately pleaded to the only two people in the world that could even remotely help him remedy the situation with you. He needed them to believe him, otherwise he would lose you forever. And he couldn’t handle that. It would break him.

Surprisingly, it was Jada that cracked first.

“Honestly? We all know that Kora would be desperate enough to try and break you two up. So we wouldn’t put it past her. But you better be ready to make it up to y/n cause whether it was your fault or hers, it still happened. And y/n saw it with her own eyes. And she doesn’t deserve that.”

Lisa clinked her glass with Jada’s, fully agreeing to everything she said.

“Yeah, you better get your ass in gear dude. She got an Uber and is on her way home. Go get your woman!” She declared with gusto, dramatically standing up within the booth and thrusting her pointer finger towards the exit of the club.

Despite the club setting, Taehyung made the time to respectfully bow to the two women, genuinely showing how grateful he was that they believed him and are offering him the chance to make things right.

"Wait! You'll need this to get in, but don't you dare lose it!" Jada dug into her clutch, bringing out their room key. She lobbed it at Taehyung, who caught it easily and smiled in thanks, saluting with two fingers against his forehead. Then he ran like he never has before towards the exit, already opening the Uber app and securing a car before walking through the threshold out into the crisp, cold winter air.

He will make things right.

It was an agonizing 15 minute ride to the hotel where you were staying at with your group. And another grueling 5 minutes that it took to ride the elevator up to your floor and stand in front of your hotel room door. His nerves started getting the best of him, hand hovering over the room key in his pocket. He knew he needed to fix things, and he wanted to, more than anything. But he was also cautious of what would be waiting for him behind the closed door. Would you throw the closest thing to you at his head in rage? He wouldn't blame you if you did. He deserved it, even if it wasn't his fault that you were mad at him.

Exhaling softly, he took the key out of his pocket, clutching it for dear life, and inserted it into the card reader, hearing the click within the door and the little light blink green, signaling it's now unlocked. Slowly, he pushed it open.

He didn't quite know exactly what he thought he would walk into, if he's being honest. But it was definitely not the sight in front of him right now. You were here, you were home. That much was evident, with all the lights being turned on. Walking further into the room, shutting the door softly behind him, he went towards the sound of the tv in the living room. One that sent shivers down his spine. Cautiously, he peeked around the corner.

You sat on the couch, now wearing your comfy, silk, cream colored, Versace night gown, Taehyung's favorite. Knees were pulled up onto the couch, sideways, you leaning against the arm of the couch on your right hand side, clutching a fluffy pillow that was courtesy of the hotel. A glass of red wine was set on the coffee table in front of you, half gone. You were just staring at the tv. Face emotionless. You didn't make any signs of seeing him, if you did notice him. The tv was set on the news. News that occurred within the club you were previously at. Fixated on a random club goers phone footage that caught the now scandalous act between him and your group member. He wanted to hurl, just like the kiss itself almost made him do. Damn, does news travel fast.

Instead, he sat on the love seat located off to the side of the couch you were on. His hands were folded in his lap, taking the position of a a school boy about to get scorned by his teacher. He felt like he was.

"Why?" your voice cut through the silence like a knife, cold as ice.

"Why what, y/n?" he asked cautiously.

"Don't play stupid, just tell me the truth. How long has it been going on for?" you further instigated, just wanting to stop beating around the bush.

Now, he was genuinely confused at your question. Did you seriously think he was having an affair with her, when he had you? He scoffed inwardly, chuckling at the preposterous notion. He would never. Not with anyone, and definitely not when you were the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. If the ring that's been sitting in his side table drawer in his room for months was any indication of the future he had planned for you two.

Your head whirled around to him upon hearing his chuckle. It made you physically ill. Was he actually laughing at you? What? Cause you were stupidly in love and oblivious to the reality you thought you knew? Tears appeared in the creases of your eyes, threatening to fall at any moment. You would not be played the fool any longer.

"Get. Out." you tried saying with confidence, despite the now large lump in your throat, body slightly shaking from the sobs you were trying to withhold until he left. Only then would you break, not wanting to give him the satisfaction of seeing you broken up over him. You thought in disgust.

Your voice is what shook him out of his reverie. Never hearing you talk to him like that before. Whole body suddenly going numb as he looked at you in confusion. Then he realized his dire mistake. You thought he was laughing at you. Oh, shit. Did he just fuck things up?

He immediately stood up off the couch, hands coming up in defense, he took small steps towards your body that started to curl in on itself. He could see the tears in your eyes wanting to fall, and he hated himself for it. For being the one to cause you so much pain, pain he never thought he was capable of dealing. Lump forming in his own throat, he wore his heart on his sleeve in a desperate plea, hoping you would listen to his words, feel his words.

"I swear on everything, y/n. Even my own mother. That I did not intentionally kiss her. She kissed me–" your own scoff is what cut him off this time.

"Do you really expect me to believe that? I saw you." you let out a broken sob, still trying not to cry, but it was getting harder by the moment.

"Baby, please, just let me explain, okay? And if you want nothing to do with me after that, I'll respect your decision, as much as I really don't want to lose you."

You nodded, lips trembling. You just had to get through this, then you could start your healing process. This was just an unfortunate part in it.

"Kora," he spat with venom, "was the one that literally fell on me due to how inebriated she was. Literally, the entire time I had only you on my mind. Your voice was in my head making fun of her. Making me smile like I always do when I think of you, and she took it as a sign that I was into her. Fuck, I was even watching you with your friends until she came up and I saw you laughing with your head thrown back and wanted so desperately to just walk over to you and kiss your neck until–"

He stopped himself, visibly starting to get flustered upon thinking back on the lewd thoughts he had of you in the club. Now was not the time for that kind of talk.

You sniffled, tears drying up as he further went on to explain what really happened. And what parts you didn't see, having left earlier due to the pain of seeing him lock lips with someone else. Someone else that wasn't you. It made you jealous, it made you see green, it made you see red, it made you rage.

You shouldn't have jumped to any conclusions without properly communicating with Taehyung to begin with. Then this whole situation could've been avoided. This whole fight itself could've been avoided. You were ashamed to even think that your Taehyung was capable of such a vile act. You wanted, no, you needed, to make it up to him. Make things right. But right now, you just needed him.

Looking up at him with a now clear head, you saw the way that sweat subtly dripped down the sides of his face from how fast he tried getting to you, how his cheeks flushed, his pupils were even slightly dilated. Scanning down his body further, you noticed the visible tent in his pants that made you involuntarily lick your lips.

"Tae, please, I need you. I need you." you mewled softly, the tears coming back, out of nowhere. You just wanted to be seen, to be heard, to be loved, to be reassured.

"I got you, baby. I got you." He vowed in this life and the next. He always would. He grabbed the remote and turned the tv off, wanting your attention to be on him only. He kneeled next to your figure still laying on the couch and gently grabbed the pillow from you, throwing it somewhere over his shoulder. Loosening his tie, he shrugged his blazer off. Unbuttoning his cuffs, he pushed his sleeves up halfway. Ring clad fingers making you shiver as his hand landed on your thigh, slowly sliding his fingers close to where you needed him most.

He kissed you with a burning passion that would never fade.

Just like his love for you never would.

And you swear, you saw stars.

Chapter 2

chapter warnings: vague description of anxiety

The awkward silence made the air in the tavern feel thick. So many questions filled our heads. The 3 of us: Diluc, Kaeya, and I, alone in the wooden building. My hand was rubbing my best friend's back as if he had hurled, and Diluc on the other side of the counter at the ready if anything else would happen.

Kaeya was hunched over, keeping his breathing steady. If anyone in this tavern was confused, it was him. Thoughts flashed through his mind at a rapid pace, trying to figure out what just happened. Not what caused it, but what actually happened? Never in his life has he ever felt such pain… such a feeling… a confusing mix of pain, anger, and… guilt? There was a hollow feeling in his stomach, one that he could never explain to anyone. He didn’t want to cause concern, more than there was already. But why? Why did his clothed eye hurt so badly…?

Kaeya’s thoughts were interrupted aggressively as we all heard the door of the tavern slam open. I jumped up in my chair, startled at the sudden and loud noise. I look back to see Jean, Lisa and Rosaria. All of them out of breath as if they had run over here.

“Jean.” I say, standing up. She walks over to the blue haired man and rubs his back.

“What happened…?” she asks Kaeya, voice ever so soft and calm.

Silence filled the air. The air was practically stagnant by the way no one spoke up or even dared make a noise. It’s not like we were scared… but we waited for Kaeya himself to explain. To tell us what he had felt, what had happened, if he had any clue what was going on. But there was nothing. Just pure silence.

I sit back down in my stool and just look at Kaeya’s face. It was nothing but uncomfortable. A silent panic was the best way to describe it. Pale faced, jaw trembling slightly, and the diamond in his left eye constricted.

Moments of silence passed until Master Diluc had spoken up. “Kaeya…” I watch my best friend’s eye close and jaw clench. A faint exhale was heard, one that sounded straight from guilt. “What happened?”

Silence filled the air again, but this time there was a quiet shaky breath being heard. Kaeya was trembling. Seeing my best friend in pain broke my heart, I wanted this to stop. I knew he didn’t know so he couldn’t tell us even if he wanted to.

“Kaeya, it’s okay if-”

“I don’t know,” he says. It was fast. It was monotone. As if he wanted everyone to just stop talking. I look at him and I see him squirm the tiniest bit, the way someone would as if they were to start crying.

My eyes blink wide at this sight and my lips part. I have never seen Kaeya cry. In my years of working with him and being his friend, I have never seen this side of him. I purse my lips and look at Jean. Her hand was still rubbing his back, looking at the ground. She was thinking.

I looked at everyone in the room and they had the same face. They were all trying to figure out something.

“Where’s Venti?” Jean suddenly asks.

Diluc looks up, like he realized something. “He tried helping Kaeya… but something happened. I don’t know what, but he ran off.”

It’s as if a switch went off in my head, recalling the events that happened. Remembering a faint shadow of purple emitting from Venti’s hand as it made contact with Kaeya’s writhing body. Seeing the surprise and fear in the bard's face, it would stir up questions for anyone.

“I remember,” I chime in, “there was a strange purple aura when Venti touched Kaeya. He pulled back like he had been burned or something. After that he fled…”

Jean’s face had an expected reaction, all confusion. “Purple aura?”

“Almost like smoke… or a shadow,” Diluc adds.

“So you noticed it too!” I say to Diluc. He responds with a simple nod.

Not knowing how else to move on, Jean sighs. “Kaeya. Take the next few days off. I feel like you need some much needed rest. Don’t worry about anything for a bit, alright?”

Kaeya gives a barely noticeable nod, still obviously in shock and extremely uncomfortable.

Jean removes her hand from Kaeya’s back, standing up from the stool. “If there's anything you need, let us know,” she says before walking out of the tavern. Lisa followed behind her. Faint whispers from both women being exchanged to each other, like Lisa had noticed something she didn’t want to utter in front of everyone.

Silence filled the building once again before the tavern door swung open. I turn around and see Rosaria gone, leaving without a sound.

I sigh before standing up from my stool, looking up at Diluc. “I’ll take him home.”

“No,” he says, “He’ll stay with me at the Winery. I’ll keep an eye on him during his days off. I’ll have Charles work the Angel’s share.”

I blink at Diluc before giving him an agreeing nod. “You know where to find me if you need any help.”

I hunch over, getting a better look at Kaeya. His face still pale, staring at the wooden counter. “I’ll see you later, ‘kay?”

No answer back. He’s still in shock. I sigh before giving Diluc one last goodbye wave and leaving the tavern.

I walk back to my house with endless thoughts and questions about what happened tonight. Was it the over exhaustion? No, it can’t be. There's no possible way it could be that. No one in history ever has a breakdown like that after being worked over. Was it the drink? No… it couldn’t be. Diluc would never. Plus that wouldn't explain the purple shadow and Venti running off. When Kaeya calmed down Diluc even had a sip, being 100% sure it wasn’t the drink, and he was totally fine.

I get to my house and immediately change into my pajamas. Today was a long day as is; Kaeya’s breakdown being the ultimate cherry on top.

I crawl into my bed and get under the sheets. My eyes fixate on the wooden ceiling before me. Recalling the exhausting day I just had. You don’t realize how much work you’ve put your body through until the city is empty and the sounds of shuffling paper is all that’s heard. Laying down on my stiff mattress is the best feeling afterwards. But this time, it wasn’t as comfortable. I felt uneasy, I felt uncomfortable. I felt worried. This feeling hovering over me like a dark cloud about to drop the biggest storm. My gut was telling me something bad was going to happen, but I had no idea what.

That night I went to sleep later than usual. The time passed so fast because of my thoughts. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t sleep. Even though my day was so tiring and my body was absolutely exhausted, this feeling of intense anxiety just took over me.

The following morning I did my usual routine to get me started in the day, but this time my body felt so much fatigue. Probably because of how late I fell asleep.

I dress up in my knightly wear and walk out of my house. Tiredly, I walk over to the Knights of Favonius headquarters.

Greeting Porthos and Athos with a tired wave. They salute me as I walk inside the doors of the building. I see Lisa and Jean talking in the main room of the headquarters. They look over at me and their faces light up, as if they were wanting to see me.

“Captain Y/n,” Jean greets me, “About last night, Lisa and I wanted to talk to you- wait… You look exhausted, were you looking after Kaeya all night?” she asks, voice concerned after noticing my unusual exhausted face.

“No, Diluc let him stay in the Winery… I just couldn’t get a good night’s rest I guess.” I say, rubbing my eyes, seeing if that would help me wake up a bit.

I hear Jean sigh before speaking again, “Nevermind about what I was going to say. I don’t want to add more to your already full plate.”

My hands make room for my eyes to look at Jean, narrow and confused. “What did you need to talk about?”

“No, I’ll tell you when you look better rested and aren’t extremely busy. I know a thing or two about overworking and I’m not going to put that on my Captains.”

I blink at her before looking at the marbled ground, thinking of things she would say to me. She did mention it was about last night so it would be about Kaeya.

I sigh before looking back up to her and nodding. She nods back with an approving smile.

I make my way to my office, sitting down and looking at all the papers I still had to sign and complete. Already being so exhausted, this was the last thing you wanted to see in the morning.

I sigh and start the paperwork. All of them regarding trading goods between nations. I also finally had the honor of being able to contact the president of the Spina De Rosula directly.

The day was practically normal, besides the faint feeling of fatigue. I continued with my knightly duties as I usually would on a weekday. It was different not passing Kaeya on the streets of Mondstadt. Him walking up to me and making a small conversation, trying to stall his workload. Sure, I did get my things done a little more quickly because there wasn't much distraction, but the day felt weirdly boring because of it.

The lighting in my office started becoming a more orange tone, signaling to me it was sunset. I let out a relieved sigh as I stored papers in organized and colorful folders, leaving them for the next day.

My plans of seeing how Kaeya was doing at the Winery had not been changed. I walked out of the office, waving goodbye to Jean and Amber when I passed.

The walk to the Dawn Winery was quite peaceful to be honest. The sunset was beautiful today. The colors of orange, red, and a dark blue off in the distance. The sounds of birds and small animals running around the grass.

I got closer to the Winery and I see Diluc outside chopping pieces of wood firewood.

Thankfully he saw me coming and I didn’t accidentally startle him while he had a giant ax in his hands.

“Here to check up on him?” he asks, wiping the sweat off his forehead.

I nod. “How’s he been?” It hasn't even been 24 hours yet, but my concern for Kaeya didn’t fade out.

“He’s still in shock, he hasn’t said a word to me or Adelinde since last night.”

My brows furrow. Still? At this rate he would’ve spoken to someone. If not Diluc then Adelinde. Knowing how much trust Kaeya has in his childhood “babysitter”.

“Can I see him?”

“Upstairs, left side, second door from the stairs.”

I nod and thank Diluc before walking to the nice house. The interior of the house was amazing. It was so warm and homey. I could see how people like Diluc could grow up here.

I walk up the stairs on the left and get to his door. It’s closed and there's no sound coming from the inside. Hopefully I’m at the right door.

I knocked gently and got no answer. I wait a couple seconds before turning the metal doorknob and seeing Kaeya on his bed, sound asleep.

I try to silently take a step inside the room just to get a good look at him, making sure he’s still okay. But the wooden floors did not approve of that idea. Immediately as I shift my weight on my leg, a loud creak from the friction of wood echoes in the room. I cringe at the noise, it being both unpleasant and loud enough to wake up the man.

He stirs a bit before opening his eyes slowly. I knew Kaeya was a light sleeper so that had no problem waking him up.

“Sorry!” I whisper, apologizing deeply for disrupting his slumber.

“Y/n?” he questions grogley, rubbing his eyes and trying to get a better look at who walked into the room.

“…Hi…” I whisper with a small wave of my hand. I have a guilty smile on my face as his eyes finally focus on me. “I just wanted to check up on you.”

I watch him shift to sit up straight in his bed. Face still sleepy and hair a bit of a mess.

“How are you feeling?”

“Fine, actually.” voice deep and raspy.

I pause for a second. “Diluc told me you haven't said anything to him or Adelinde.”

It was silent for a second before he spoke up. “I just wasn't in the mood I guess…”

I sigh before taking a seat at the edge of the bed. “They’re just trying to make sure you’re okay.”

“I know… I just felt like my body had no energy,” he says, tone having a hint of confusion.

My head tilts a bit, hearing the confusion in his voice. Ignoring it, I let out a small sigh of relief, now knowing that he is okay.

“I’m glad you’re okay though,” I say with a smile.

I see the corners of his lips curl. He looks over at the window, appreciating the sunset like I was on my way here.

The silence was comfortable, though it was interrupted by Kaeya. “I don’t know what happened last night.”

His tone was quiet, like he didn't want to talk about what happened but he knew someone had to know what he felt. I stay silent, letting him continue.

“It just felt like… pain. This intense pain. I have no idea how to describe it but it wasn't like anything I’ve ever felt.”

My gaze softened as his eye was focused on his thumbs that were rotating with one another.

After a moment of quiet I sensed that's all that Kaeya would explain to me.

I gently grab one of his hands and place my own on top of it. Our eyes meet and I smile sweetly. “We’ll figure out what happened.”

He nods back with a smile. After knowing him for so long I could tell the difference between a real Kaeya smile and a fake Kaeya smile. That was everything but real…

“Hopefully,” he says, smiling fading and he looks back at the window. I watch his chest rise and fall as he takes a big breath.

As Kaeya focuses on the sun that's slowly dipping into the horizon, I finally get a better look at Kaeya’s face. His eye was slightly pink and the skin above his cheekbone was a little puffy. He was crying. I don’t know how long ago or how much he cried, but something was wrong. And he knew it.

hello hello! i 100% absolutely do *cracks knuckles* there’s absolutely nothing i love more than talking about my favorite books let’s go

- i always start with anne carson bc she’s undoubtedly my favorite author writing today. no one (and i mean this literally) is doing what she’s doing. a strange concoction of greek classics / poetry / prose. narrative poetry is pretty much the gist of it. autobiography of red is one of my most favorite books ever — sad funny gorgeous all the things. i also love the beauty of the husband and norma jean baker of troy but i’ve read all her books and they’re all wonderful

- the goldfinch by donna tartt. like not just the story — boris and theo and everything, but no one writes about existence like DT and i don’t even mean in the metaphorical existential sense but what it is to live a life, the space around you, a home, a friendship, your material things, a social life, everything. it’s not necessarily her attention to detail, even tho it is, but it’s more so the details she chooses to include. (rumor about a new pub in june was fake *cries*)

- i’ve read a lot of nabokov this year. i read pnin it was good, i read laughter in the dark it was Excellent!! now i’m reading one of his books of short stories and i like it a lot a lot i’m a big short story person i read a lot of anthologies

- consider the lobster by david foster wallace is one i love. people either find it dry and abysmal or perfect i’m the latter

- bulgakov’s the master and margarita seminal classic for a reason - funny shocking mysterious all the things i think everyone should read this book at least once

- i read primeval and other times by olga tokarczuk this year it was quite strange like postmodern fantasy. some parts of it are pretty uncomfortable but i did enjoy it

- i’ve been working through anais nïn’s backlog this year and i’m having fun with it. i’ve read all the erotica and it’s interesting in more than just the sex. it’s pretty violent and strange and like shocking. and i like her very concise style it’s pretty good

- lighter stuff everything by lisa kleypas but particularly the hathaways lovely comfort reads i go back to all the time — my favorite type of romance is a historical romance hands down (i have read SO MUCH historical romance and will give a more detailed list if that’s wanted) — also her ravenels series but particularly chasing cassandra is DELICIOUS

- for fantasy katherine arden’s winternight trilogy is unlike anything else ever and i’ve also met her and she’s so kind and lovely and a wonderful human who deserves all the success in the world

- miscellaneous but by no means lesser : ottessa moshfegh, louise glück, loretta chase (lord of scoundrels)!!! swoon!; tessa dare

Apparently people really likes my sagau post where the creator shapeshifts into a cat to avoid being hunted down as the imposter.

SO I'M MAKING A FULL ON POST ABOUT IT (this is my first time posting something like this so forgive me if it kind of sucks).

How would Genshin Characters react to finding out their pet cat was their beloved Creator??

featuring Diluc, Jean, Albedo, Klee, and Venti. Can be seen as platonic or romantic (except Klee lol).

WARNINGS?: idk just you being a cat, genshin sagau, imposter au, reader is the creator, probably trigger warnings for cult stuff and mentions of being hunted down/almost dying, reader has rainbow blood instead of gold because I am pushing my rainbow blood reader agenda, pretty sure it's gender neutral but if not then whoops, fluff, Crack, AND angst. A full three course meal guys, eat up 🤩

SCENARIO -- you have suddenly been isekai'd into Genshin, and of course it's the imposter au. BUT you decide to test your powers, and shapeshift into... a cat. now it is time for you to get adopted so you don't starve and die while trying to figure out why the heck your favorite characters now want to kill you.

DILUC:

as stated in the post where I randomly came up with this idea, you'd probably sneak into the tavern while he happened to be working

probably originally went there to try and find venti and exact revenge on him. because HE LITERALLY TRIED TO KILL YOU.... when you were in human form

now you're just a lovable cat who can do no wrong 🥰🥰

BUT when you find diluc there, you're like "HECK YEAH" and do EVERYTHING you can to gain his favor.

INCLUDING scratching Kaeya, knocking over the empty cups of drunkards who have had one too many shots to stop them from having another, and more.

Diluc was gonna kick you out... but you're helping him. Sort of. Still finds you a bit bothersome.

And when he tries to leave...

You follow him home. Mustering up your best meow and trying to get him to "come home".

he finally caves in when adeline says he should. But he's glad he did.

You stick to him like GLUE. he's often out on missions as the darknight hero, and you are a great helper, surprisingly.

It's almost... TOO good to be true. It's like you understand what he is saying...

Probably gets suspicious and asks you to your furry face if you're with the Abyss Order or somethin. You just tilt your head in confusion and meow because you are just a lovable floof who does no wrong

Finally finds out you are the Creator while out on a mission. One of the enemies tries to attack him, but you block it instead, your hind leg bleeding RAINBOWS???

I mean... certainly felt your presence was odd, but... YOU'RE THE CREATOR??????

gets embarrassed by all of the times you saw him changing in his room dhdjdvegsi

When in private, you shift into your human form and explain the WHOLE situation about you just... being isekai'd here.

He becomes one of your most loyal followers from then on, even if he wasn't particularly religious before then.

continues to call you by the pet name he gave you as a cat, instead of "Your Grace", which you find comforting. he still mentally sees you as a cat though, since you continue to take on that form even after he knows your true identity

JEAN:

Jean is... you fear her. Especially after the whole imposter hunt, because she was one of the big people leading it.

You weren't originally planning on getting stuck with her, either. You had originally planned to stay with Diona as one of her new cats at the cat's tail

but that didn't work out because you smelled FOOD at good hunter.

and everyone (and cat) LOVES food.

so you go there and see Jean eating a meal with Lisa. Feeling the anger course through you, you swiftly steal her meal and eat it... and then get caught.

she originally thinks you were one of Diona's cats, but when Diona says she doesn't recognize you... Jean takes you in

Because SOMETHING was pulling her to you (spoiler alert, it was your magical creator aura because yOu'Re SpEciAL-

Over time, you grow a lot closer with her. you even almost forget that she tried to kill you 😀

Key word, almost 🙄

but you really see that she's just loyal and cares about you. She's been misled by the imposter creator, who currently rules Teyvat, and just wants the best for you.

So you soften your heart... and forgive her. Because she's given you a lot of love while you've been a cat.

You mostly help her out by getting more pens and ink while she works. You also bring her snacks and occasionally push the ink bowl away to remind her to take breaks :)

Here's the problem though -- I can't ever imagine you getting into some sort of accident and bleeding under her care. She definitely recognizes your aura as abnormal and like the creator's, but isn't. Connecting. The dots.

So you literally injure yourself and show her your rainbow blood to get her attention.

OH MY ARCHONS YOU'RE THE CREATOR AND YOU'RE BLEEDING YOUR GRACE NO-

SEVERELY apologizes when she heals your wound (in human form). Good luck going back into cat form because she is STILL going to call you "yOuR gRaCe"-

Probably hides you in her house or something, and tries to get more people on your side to take down the imposter ruling Teyvat. Also probably tries to call off the hunt in Mondstadt, giving reasons like "we haven't seen them in several months they're probably dead lol"

Overall she had a good redemption arc 👌

ALBEDO:

I hate to fall into the cliche of "Albedo recognizes the imposter as the true creator in every imposter au fic 🥺" but,,,,

that's exactly what happens. Sorry guys, couldn't resist the temptation

Immediately recognizes something is wrong when he watches your reactions from afar as they surround you. He can feel your aura SO STRONGLY, how is everyone else SO STUPID-

luckily you got away, but were heavily injured. Albedo didn't know where you went after you escaped until he found you in dragonspine (ofc 🙄)

He saw all of the colorful bruises (literally), and decided to take you in. You explained your situation, and tried to come up with a solution together.

When you mention that it seems you can shapeshift, he's actually the one that suggests you shapeshifting into a "pet".

and you COMPLETELY go along with it (because it is secretly fulfilling all of your fantasies, sexual or not), transforming into a Lil kitty.

NOBODY suspects you two. Albedo is Albedo. He is curious of the world and of life, so it was expected that eventually he would take in some sort of pet. And you're just such a good kitty 🥺

Also lets you play with klee and occupy her from time to time. Klee has definitely been like "she reminds me of the creator!" And then albedo has just been like "ah that's nice🙃"

Overall you're pretty good in his care. He still sometimes slips a "Your Grace", but he treats you as an equal and partner in taking down the real imposter

KLEE:

you probably found her in cat form while heading to the city. She was fish blasting (ofc), and decided to try and feed you some of the fish she caught 🥺

Surprisingly good btw. BUT she gets caught...

But not without begging Jean to let her take you home.

Jean reluctantly agrees, after MUCH begging and crying from Klee

tbh, Klee doesn't even understand why she likes you so much. She feels an aura, sure, but she just thinks you're a nice cat. Doesn't suspect you ONCE.

that is, until you accidentally get injured by one of her bombs. SHE RUINED YOUR GORGEOUS FUR 🤬🤬🤬

she sees the burn marks (which are literally rainbow colors 🌈) and is like "huh,,, dodoco is it normal for cats to have rainbow bruises????"

SO SHE ASKS ALBEDO and he's like "... no. Lemme look at your cat please archons this isn't right"

And Albedo definitely recognizes that you are the creator... but he has a TON of questions.

Decides to tell klee, but tells her she has to keep it a secret.

She never sees you in your human form btw. Klee will now forever see you as a cat who has been guiding her life even before arriving in teyvat

just imagine a cat playing genshin lol

And she's probably too young to understand the titles either. Just keeps calling you by whatever name she gave you as a cat

VENTI:

IMMEDIATELY when he met you at the Cat's tail, he knew something was wrong.

At the time, you'd been staying with Diona and the other cats. And venti SHOULD be having an allergic reaction.

But for SOME REASON, he wasn't?? In fact, any allergy symptoms just... went away when you were near.

He was so puzzled?? Albedo happened to hear about it, and suggested that maybe this "cat" (AKA you) didn't produce the protein in their spit that would normally make him allergic to you

And yes, for those who are allergic to cats, you're not allergic to their fur. You're allergic to a protein in their spit. Normally you would need that protein to survive, BUT you're the creator so <3

You end up following him because of his nice music. Despite him being broke (and barely able to feed the both of you), his company is still welcome

I feel like he would be against the whole "hunting down the imposter" thing, unlike the other archons

but since he's the God of freedom, he let's his people continue their search and hunt you down.

he probably finds out for some stupid reason that you're the creator (like you fall out of a tree climbing and scratch yourself or something)

Apologizes for not doing anything before after you go into your human form and explain.

Probably still occasionally calls you "Your Grace" in private as a tease, but won't do it if it makes you uncomfy. Mostly uses your cat name, since he knows how serious revealing your identity can be

One of the few straight ships that actually makes me cry bc of the angst around them. I've been thinking about them since yesterday but I couldn't write it down cuz i fell asleep lol. Enjoy~

Modern AU

probably has typos and grammatical errors since i didnt check--

Jean and Diluc are coworkers (Jean as CEO and Diluc as her PA). Diluc was supposed to be CEO but he refused the offer when his father, Crepus died and his brother, Kaeya went MIA. Everyone thought that they did not get along well since Diluc speaks bluntly and is often misinterpreted as rude while Jean, although she’s strict, has a more gentle aura around her. Both of them are pretty much the talk of the town (office??) since they are both good looking. Jean’s toned body (thanks to pilates) and Diluc’s buff structure and "mysterious" background that makes every woman (and some men) in the office swoon.

EVERYONE talks about wanting to either sleep with them or date them, there's no in between. But what the office doesn't know is that they're married and have been for 5 years. Only their close friends and family knew of their union. They didn't wear their wedding rings because it was 2 sizes small (thanks to their musician friend) so instead they wore it around their necks. Also, Jean just kept her maiden name and Diluc, although he did try to talk her out of the idea, accepted her decision.

However, one day Jean overheard Donna say that she will ask Diluc out again during the end of the year ball. Normally Jean wouldn't be surprised by this but this was DONNA and that woman keeps on bugging her husband despite him politely rejecting her multiple times.

This caused Jean to be out of it which did not go unnoticed by Diluc, so he decided to confront her about it when he handed her her 5th coffee of the day. Jean confessed to him about Donna’s plan and Diluc just told her not to worry about Donna and that he’ll handle it when it happens. And, of course, Jean trusts her man so much it's sort of amazing (absolutely ridiculous as Lisa told her).

On the night of the ball, Donna approached Diluc and asked to speak with him alone at the balcony. Jean and Diluc locked eyes before Jean discreetly waved him off as she spoke with Eula. Around 10 minutes have passed and she still hasn't spotted Diluc. So she went off to the balcony and as soon as she arrived there, Jean saw that Donna lunged forward to kiss Diluc and had sadly succeeded. Just as Jean was about to angrily march at Donna, Diluc pushed the woman away firmly.

“I already told you I’m married and you need to stop this nonsense” he enunciated firmly. “I don’t see a ring on your finger! Please Diluc, stop resisting and lying to me,” Donna desperately wailed as she gripped his arm tight. “My wife would not take this action lightly anymore if you keep this up,” Diluc, once again, remarks harshly. Donna scoffed and then smirked, “She’s not even here. What are you gonna do? FaceTime her? I know you only have like 10 contacts there and none of them are of your wife’s!”

Jean decided to step up, “Actually, she’s gonna file a harassment report to the HR and put you under investigation.” she sharply denoted as she walked towards them. Her heels tapping against the tiled floor loudly despite the party ongoing inside. “I’d love it if you back away from my husband, Donna. I have tolerated you long enough because you are an excellent worker. Jean bites her lip before nodding, “I would feel better if we did, yes.” Diluc chuckled at her before tidying his suit, “I believe I deserve some sort of reward for tonight’s hard work. I had to deal with that for what felt like an hour—”

Before he could finish his sentence, Jean grabs his face and kisses him. “the audience be damned” was the last thought diluc had before kissing her back.

Because tonight, he will be giving all his attention to his wife only.

●Hi again. It has been a while, I can only say life has kind of caught me in a loop but I'm back and Ready to continue my hobby of making fics once more.

I do small fictions, head cannons and Drabbles, any big fan fiction series will be written elsewhere.

This is an x reader insert blog, anything to do with character x Character is completely out of the question for me unless it has to do with a poly relations with Said reader. Shipping has never been my thing and will continuously not be.

Reader will out of be gender neutral/Female. Writing for male readers have never been my strong suit and I best not make assumptions or lazily write how I think a man acts since I don't know how they do act in fictional situations.

No Oc or Oc insert, with doing oc it would be a long process of knowing every detail of the oc as well as their personality and then trying to insert it into the story. For Me that a bit of a Hassel to do and would take up to much time to do so I prefer to leave this out for now.

I do take sub or Dom readers, both are fine by me as long as you don't request anything to extreme. I will also let you know if the request is something to uncomfortable to write.

You can request up to 3-5characters or 1 dorms per ask. I wish to keep each ask nice an detailed as possible so I would like to only have a small amount to write for that way i can take time on each one without taking to long on it or half-ass writing it.

I will only write in 2nd person. 3rd or 1st person is a no go for me.

Dark topics are okay, I don't mind writing for them as long as you don't not request anything extremely serious or straight uncomfortable for others or myself.

I can and will delete ask that I straight up refuse to do, I have the will to do so especially it is something I don't agree with or not wanted on my blog. So be be aware of what you request.

Yandere ask are also fine. But be known that I may write them In the way I know them or prefer writing them.

I do take time to write my fictions so will take time for me to post. Since I have a life outside of my blog I will post and get request done when I have my free time, any spamming I will block on-site.

I only ask that each person send a max of 2 ask. As much as I love request everyone deserves a chance to put in a request, any more than 2 ask from the same person will be deleted and ignored.

In short, what do you think would happen if the karasuno volleyball team (faculty included) got isekai’d into teyvat?

For example, they’re in the bus, ready to go to a training camp. Everyone except the driver falls asleep and the driver makes a turn into a grass-land, expecting to be there in a few minutes.

But they don’t

After the panic settles down everyone gets off the bus and they’re for example, in winerise. How would they continue?

i think they should get thrown into the world, visionless and defenseless. let's say they get thrown into mondstadt just cause that's my fav region. they end up in windrise and right next to that hillychurl camp to the right of the tree and tanaka wants to go fight the mitachurl but gets held back by the collar by ennoshita okay he's not stupid enough to let him go

theyre just standing there, figuring out where the hell they are

honestly. i think they end up running into a knight or adventurer (also confused as to what they're wearing) and escorts them to the city

i dont mean nothing at all but like. them being there doesn't break the entire world as it is its just. mundane but in such a FUN way

i dont think anyone in particular ends up with a vision but I think suga and takeda would be very interested in learning how it works. daichi or asahi has to stay with the 2nd years at all times to make sure noya or tanaka aren't harassing jean (she deals with enough shit actually). both pass out when lisa low key flirts w them (shes just messing with them tho its not anything crazy)

ukai? good buds with diluc and charles and the angel's share after a while. hinata LOVES timmie and is a tcg GOD. befriends diona doing that

yachi and kiyoko spend a lot of time in the knights library with lisa chatting and eventually join the adventurers guild part time and go take some commissions once in a while together. sometimes takeda tags along to make sure they're safe (he doesn't do much)

tsukki and yamaguchi also become tcg gods and end up meeting a few people through that, and really want to explore around some of the other nations, so they make a field trip and go south to liyue. chaos ensues there and hinata falls in love w beidou (not in a romantic way just in an appreciation way) and is excited about becoming a pirate

i have so many thoughts. there's so many and I think their relationships with each of the characters would be so FUN. everyone knows them as the weird squad of guys that isn't really from anywhere but everyone appreciates anyway

“I still can’t understand how you’re able to keep a straight face when people talk about you when you’re nearby.” You said with a giggle, laying on the lap of your boyfriend. Venti laughter soon accompanied yours as you reminisced on the now ended Weinlesefest.

“To be quite honest, there have been times when someone in Mondstadt will say ‘Barbatos’ and I end up turning around thinking they’re talking to me specifically.” Venti replied. This made you burst into laughter more.

As you laughed you rolled over on your side as Venti smiled down at you softly. You never truly know, what you do to him, and perhaps you’ll never know. From the moment you confessed to him that fateful birthday, things had never been the same between you two. In a good way, of course. Even if you hadn’t confessed, he had wanted to spend an eternity with you by your side. Ever since you came into his life, he could never imagine a future without him, neither could imagine a future without the other. He had heard you speak to Jean about a possible future with him, considering she’s been married to Lisa for the longest time, and he couldn’t have been happier to stumble across that conversation.

Your laughter quickly died down as the thought of what’s soon to come crossed your mind. You sat up, a your eyes filled with sorrow.

“Are you alright, Windblume?” Your boyfriend asked, concerned.

“I know you already said this was coming, but… do you really have to go?” You asked in a whisper. The bard immediately knew what you were talking about. His hibernation. After each Weinelesefest, Venti has to go into a sort of hibernation. You both knew that this was coming, but it still didn’t lessen the pain from the da t that you wouldn’t be able to hear or speak to each other for months.

“I’m sorry Windblume, but I have to. I can’t help it as a Whisp. We both know this.” He spoke softly, attempting to comfort you. Venti took his hand and cupped your cheek, which you leaned into without hesitation. “I promise I’ll be back before you know it.”

“Sure, but… the wait is gonna be so boring. I already can’t stand a day without being with you.” You replied, attempting to lighten the mood. You placed your hand over the one Venti was using to hold your cheek, bathing in the few remaining moments you would have with him for a while.

“I know it will, but what if I could make the wait worthwhile?” Venti asked with a smile. You cocked a brow at his question, but ultimately nodded. Venti took his hand away from your cheek and stood up, extending that same hand to help you stand. You took your turn to stand as you watched Venti reach into one of his pockets, both of your hands remaining intertwined.

Venti kneeled down as he pulled the now open box out of his pocket. Tears pricked your eyes as you brought your remaining hand up to your face, covering your mouth. Venti looked at you with the most you had ever seen from him as he spoke;

Genshin Vent

1. There’s a way to deal with child protagonists in adventure stories. Either go with it or actually address it. Genshin does not commit to either and it’s immersion breaking. This would all be solved if the traveler and their sibling were adults but they decided to make them kids. It keeps reminding you all the time that these are kids, particularly with comments about how they’re too young to drink (apparently they’re 15). They don’t allow for underage drinking but never comment on the traveler fighting constantly. Adult characters like Lisa can sound like they’re flirting with the traveler which is really uncomfortable. Where are their parents? Are they orphans or can their parents not dimension hop? Who let them do this in the first place? No one brings it up. Characters ages are relevant but not logical. It’s bizarre that the only line the adult characters will not let the children cross is underage drinking. Not that I want the kids to do underage drinking I just want the game to be consistent.

2. The game was already unrealistically and overwhelming white/pale before it decided to whitewash Sumeru, which is obviously based on southeast Asia and Africa (India and Egypt in particular). It’s not just rascist but colourist. They have made the brown people not only scarce but as pale as possible with barely any variety in tones.

3. I don’t like how Paimon struggles with names and is dismissive of food only in Sumeru - she eats slime but African food is too much for her? It’s gross and has racist undertones.

4. The disability representation - despite this being a pretty combative world the characters live in - is aggressively lacking. Which makes the world unrealistic and boring. Collei’s Elazar could have been some great representation but it of course get’s cured (which you could see from a mile away).

5. I hate that the women’s breasts bounce when they breath. Nearly half of players are women you do not need to pander to straight men only (I say straight men because I think most queer women still prefer fem characters to have a bit more dignity than this outside of porn).

6. I just wish we knew about the protagonists more, what was their home planet like? Have they realm jumped before? Why are they so chill about it?

7. Dori is a Turkish stereotype, most cultures that aren’t white have harmful stereotypes around being greedy so maybe just don’t. Especially since she’s the only Turkish based character.

8. Eula’s quest is bonkers. I can’t tell if the writers are self-aware that she’s being classist or not. Because they seem to frame it like people are just prejudiced because of her family. But she’s the one who is unsolicited calling them plebs for no reason. You’re meant to be training to talk her uppity uncle, shouldn’t we be talking to the townsfolk like they’re royalty then? It makes it seem like she deserves her treatment, especially with her threatening to fight everyone.

9. Kuki Shinobu is my least favourite character. She calls Itto - a character that I read as ADHD - “crazy” and belittles him. Her outfit is also my least favourite. She’s meant to be this strict lawyer, no nonsense figure yet she’s in a tacky crop top and booty shorts. Jean and Sara both have outfits that show their authority and seriousness so why not her? I get that she wants freedom but otherwise her outfit does not fit her at all.

10. I wish Takuya the blue oni was a member of the Arataki gang. Or even a playable character.

11. The government of Mondstaht makes no sense. It’s meant to be all about freedom. However, it’s essentially a police state ruled by a nepotism general. It should be a form of anarchy.

12. Diona makes me so uncomfortable. Who let a twelve year old enter a bar, let alone work there? Is she staying up all night? Why can’t she just be an adult teetotaler. It makes her dad seem irresponsible that his drinking upsets his daughter a lot and he does nothing about it and that he lets her bartend. Which would be fine if anyone addressed that or tried to help them. It’s just uncomfortable as is. Like an adult with a dead beat dad is sad but fine. But a child with a dead beat dad makes everyone around her look bad and irresponsible. Which seems to be a big Genshin issue to me. It creates lore that it’s not prepared or ill equipped to fully explore.

13. Big tell not show problem. Especially with Kokomi.

14. I hate that the closest we get to a plus size main character is that Ganyu used to be larger and now stringently watches what she eats. She even comes across like she has an eating disorder sometimes. Genshin characters can look and act very similar, so not only would it be nice representation if she was plus size but it would help differentiate characters as well.

15. Paimon does not need to comment every time you fish. Once every few goes is fine. She also doesn’t need to re-explain what an NPC just said.

16. Having to go and pray at statues to change your power as the MC was fine in like Mondstaht when you’d mainly just have the torch and totem puzzles. But now that every five seconds I have to switch to anemo for sand, fire or water for flowers, fire for the lightning rocks, dendro for the flowers that shoot dendro teleportation sigils and more I want to be able to scroll and switch power for the MC as long as I’m not in combat. Like I hate running over to the wolf boss in Mondstaht just to realize that I should teleport over to Inazuma to be electro and run all the way back.

17. More outfits, especially for the MC. It is SO annoying that Ayaka offers us a new outfit and we have to turn her down it feels like the developers are laughing at me. Also, Ayaka and Ayako should at least have matching pastoral outfits.

18. I’m SO SICK of the male characters getting to be more clothed than the female characters on average. Also give some of the women flat shoes. I get having impractical clothes for flavour but sometimes it actively does not suit a character and makes them look incompetent. Like Ningguang suits heals she’s high society but Beido does not. It doesn’t suit her personality and she lives on a wet, slippery ship so it’s even less practical than just a regular fighter.

19. If they had more diversity the characters would look more interesting. Sometimes I feel like they add excessive and bizarre elements to the character’s designs to differentiate them instead of just having more shades of skin colour, different hair types (like curly, wavy or coily hair), physical disabilities, scars, or body size differences. Like Childe’s teacher looks like a discount Eula with a busier, uglier leotard and nice boots and gloves as the only saving grace.

20. Buying two things from the teapot traveling salesman at someone else’s place is a stupid thing to tick off in Battle Pass. Who buys from the salesman that much let alone from someone else’s place? He has hardly any stuff and no variety. Fish for twenty fish or something like that would be way better.

21. More of the furnishings for the tea kettle house should be indoor as well as outdoor. It’s bizarre that little things in particular can’t be inside like the Statue of Her Excellency. Red Kitsune Doll, or Storm braver ship would all fit really well inside the mansion.

22. Hate the water diaper you get while swimming. It looks SO dumb and it’s so bizarre because Genshin is the one that puts most of the women in skimpy clothes so why are they trying to preserve the character’s dignity now? To look all the way up a mountain to see how far you have left you almost have to get an upskirt angle. It is baked into the game that certain characters do not get to preserve their modesty, so why this?

23. Important limited timed events should be character quests you can play later. They can have less rewards as a trade off. But it’s BS that if I go for a trip in the woods I could miss out on important plot in Genshin that I could only find on YouTube not even in it’s complete form on Genshin’s page. Like what do new players think when they play and theirs limited time avents in areas they can’t even reach yet???

24. There are so many characters to keep track of I would love them to have less names. Like Childe being Childe and Tartaglia. There are so many irrelevant details and characters and it’s a lot to keep track of especially since only through replaying a game does everything sink in for me. But I’d never do that here. What am I meant to do replay the same limited time event twice immediately at the same time, farm for level up items a million more times????? No.

25. The lore is so much work. Between the manga, character texts, and overly wordy dialogue it’s too much. Edit things better.

26. If there’s important NPCs PLEASE give them them a unique look! Otherwise they all blend together. Even the human adeptus’ at the latest lantern rite were boring looking and they were gods.

27. Why is Paimon not a big deal? Apparently stories of fairies exist because people call her one but it seems she’s the only real one. Can you imagine if a fairy just suddenly existed and no one was curious or surprised about it. It’s so bizarre.

28. The traveler should be a celebrity by now. Charlotte should have been begging us for an interview from day one. We’ve literally changed the landscape. We have fought dragons, know gods, fought gods, lit up mountains and giant glowing trees in the sky. We should have a MUCH bigger reputation by now. Sure a few people comment on us. We can’t compete in the Pankration ring because of our reputation but people should be TERRIFIED of us. Not even gods can use more than one element. We are half way to being a god. It’s just weird to be not that big a deal to most people. And then the characters that are obsessed with us, like Ayaka, it’s not about what we’ve done it’s romance coded who we are stuff.

29. God I wish Watasumi Island never made peace with the rest of Inazuma. Hoyoverse should go back and add more to the Inazuma main quest in general they rushed it SO MUCH. Like the puppet should not be allowed to exist anymore or if it’s alive now like Scaramouch it should have to step down. Love Ei, but one traumatizing god is enough.

i'm v active in the community, i'm often at those community center meetings (or wtvr they're called) that leslie hosts and also just. often at the parks department. i like to help out w everything. i'm like ann in the sense that i don't work there (honestly i've thought abt whether or not i would have a lil job at city hall but idk anything abt government jobs so like i'd have no clue what i'd do fskdHNF) but i'm there like at Least like 50% of the time

since i'm around everyone leslie works with a lot, i'm friends w p much everyone :o my besties tho are tom, lisa (who i meet thru tom), ben, and donna. and also jean. everyone else i'm good friends with c: and…….that even includes jerry. but like no one must know that yk. oh also ron's like a cool uncle to me.
