Honestly, I’d love to write more for Baji x Tutor!Reader! However, the only WIPs I have in drafts take place after Fragility/Aftermath… and I’ve honestly been scared to continue… I’m not sure if i should finish the WIPs, or think up a confession piece first? Or what scenarios people would like to read for first… I don’t get asks like that, so I’m not sure what people would like to read outside of what I think up.

I guess I’m at a loss of imagination right now?

Simple answer, I would love to write, but I am severely depressed and worried about posting …

I've realized that I probably won't be able to post the next chapter of Fate, Destiny... A Hamster as soon as I usually would and it kinda kills me to admit it 😭 but I've been sick this past week and it's been hard just to read for more than a few minutes, let alone WRITE.

I'm not letting myself put out a half-assed ending to a fic that means so much to me and introduced me to so many kind people 😭😭

Sometimes scenes can appear so vividly and you can understand the movement of dialogue that flows with the physical choreography that syncs together to get a story into motion. Like I hear the tone of a character’s response or volume of their quiet grief, and see them fiddle with the new additions to their blaster as they avoid glimpsing a strangers apparent mourning. Attempting to ignore how that vocalized pain reaches past his towering and weathered walls, strumming the familiar cord of his aching loss.

But then I need to find devoted time to writing it all out and transferring it into comprehensive sentences. Scores of sentences, paragraphs, and concepts are littered anywhere and everywhere, and they have potential, but like anything else, it takes effort to organize and rearrange scenes to achieve a complete story.

Heir and... sp(heir) Speir? Anyways I feel like if Chrom's dad had lived that long, he probably would've preferred Chrom as his heir because Emm is veeeery against his beliefs and she is not going to compromise on that, even (especially?) for her father. Chrom on the other hand has some of the same tendencies so he'd probably seem more moldable. (And might actually be without Emmeryn's influence)

Oh man you have come to the right place you would not believe how much I love the concept of an AU where Chrom's dad lives and does exactly that: cutting Emmeryn out of the line of succession, ostensibly because Falchion chose Chrom to wield it which therefore proves his right to rule, rather than allow his pacifistic elder daughter to claim her birthright.

I think the only fics I have right now that take advantage of it are in the planning phase, specifically Pride and Joy and an Enemies-to-Lovers AU that gunhorse is slightly rabid over, both of which involve the Exalt taking his son with him to the battlefront in his ongoing crusade against Plegia; in the former, Plegia's capital has fallen but guerilla fighters continue to prevent the Ylissean Army from succeeding in wiping out the Grimleal in their entirety, and in the latter Plegia has held strong against the repeated incursions and the Exalt is mounting his latest push to try and take the capital.

Lucky for Chrom in both cases (and unlucky for his dad), Emmeryn isn't so easily removed from the picture: she might not be the heir apparent anymore, but she's still there taking care of her siblings and providing her positive influence to counter and combat their father's far more toxic one, so Chrom's not entirely a lost cause...but he's definitely more prejudiced than he otherwise would be (and he already has a good bit of prejudice to unpack).
