Thoughts I had while reading TCF chapter 13

Cale: gets chills because Ron drinks the lemon tea without complaining

Also Cale: ignores that he does the same thing.

Looking at the two butlers around Cale is entertaining because you have Hans who is just constantly confused about what’s going on, and then you have Ron who is just amused by everything and notices the things Cale doesn’t. also Choi Han being polite because Cale’s there is amusing because chances are Cale wouldn’t care if he wasn’t.

Choi Han has this subtle sassiness to him, especially early on that I don’t think was fully intended because when he says ‘I will not fight against someone who is trying to cut someone else with a cooking knife,’ I don’t think he means to be sassy or anything (I don’t think I mean sassy but can’t figure out what i mean, maybe shady in the way of throwing shade, idk), like, that’s genuinely what’s happening but I hear it in such like a shady tone in my head. Again, I don’t think this was intended, I think Choi Han is a very genuine, earnest person, who means what he says in the way he says it, but my brain chooses to hear it as shady.

Ok yes Choi Han choosing to be someone who protects people, purely because Cale said he could do it is really cute and precious. And the “even” before I makes it just the slightest bit sad, but also Cale manages to cause confusion even when he’s not present, and I think that the impact Cale has on these characters, even when he’s not there to say or do anything, is a wonderful way to show how important he is to them.

Also, yes, I do find Choi Han saying this and having this revelation and Beacrox being like wth? What rubbish are you spewing? I just wanna fight funny. Because my humour is broken and I find a lot of things funny when they aren’t.

I feel like Ron just thinks everything his son and Cale does is cute and precious, and he’s right.

Ok but I love the idea of Ron, glaring at Choi Han accidentally while lost in thought, meanwhile Cale is just sat there with a small smile, but the tiny Cale living in his head is secretly clapping very quietly and letting out a cute little yay.

Yes, Cale, you’re right, the novel shouldn’t dictate your life, which is a good thing because you’ve already changed so much, even if you don’t realise it yet.

Once again, Cale proves he’s kinder than he allows himself to believe, because his second priority, after survival, is that everyone in their territory lives peacefully, and actually, considering how often he puts his life on the line, I’m pretty sure that’s actually his first priority.

I’m sorry but Cale saying sweet teas are the best after purposefully giving Ron the lemon tea, thus rubbing his face in it while also subtly guilting him, is such little shit behaviour.

Billos: lowkey disappointed he won’t see Cale until the capital

Cale: no, I’m going to be here everyday until I leave, and meet you at the capital

Billos: significantly happier than before

Cale: and I’m going to give you money and opportunities for profit

Billos: super shocked and super happy

Ron, stood to the side watching,  suspiciously sharpening a knife: I thought he said they weren’t close

Billos gets a message at 3 in the morning that someone is in the tea shop and goes to investigate, only to see Cale helping himself to some tea. His only explanation is a shrug and “you said it was open any time.” Billos ends up giving him a key to get in so he stops tripping whatever alarm or security he has. Cut to bonding sessions when Billos gets there in the morning before it officially opens. It’s rarely just Cale, usually it’s the kids, sometimes one of the others joins, one time he arrives to the entire Cale fam just casually sat, drinking tea. It ends up becoming their hangout spot on the rare occasions they get a month or two of not saving someone or somewhere. Just cute, fluffy moments in the tea shop

Oh Ron I thought being in denial was Cale’s thing. It’s ok, you can admit you care about your puppy young master, we won’t judge you.

Choi Han misunderstanding what Ron is talking about and being like I don’t want to like you. Oh Choi Han, you’re too good for this world.

I find it really funny that Cale couldn’t even get rid of the person who was planning to leave of his own accord. Like Ron was planning to leave, he did leave briefly, and Cale still couldn’t completely get rid of him. A dragon was dying, of old age, and Cale was like I think the fuck not, someone needs to raise my child when I can’t and not only found a way to keep him alive but also possibly made him age down so he was younger, he uno reversed death by old age. Cale, this is not how you reduce the number of people around you. Like, he thought he was done, and then Cale agreed to take care of his son while he was gone, cured what was killing him, and just didn’t care that he’d been an assassin.

Ron pretending not to care about Cale while Cale pretends not to care about Ron is actually clown behaviour.

Ron and Cale’s relationship is so precious to me, like you don’t understand.

Him thinking about the good things about Cale only to immediately go but he’s still trash is the same energy as KRS Cale asking about Ron’s injury and going but I don’t care it’s just annoying to look at. This is why KRS Cale and Ron have such a cute relationship. They’re actually more similar than either of them realise, and if they did realise it, they’d be horrified.

Cale: asking Choi Han who he’s going to protect

Choi Han’s thoughts: don’t tell him it’s him yet, you can’t

Choi Han: I’ll tell you when I’m stronger

Cale: nearly has a heart attack at the thought of him getting stronger

The only person Cale needs protection against at the minute is Choi Han, and himself of course.

Hans is such a breath of fresh air in this book. Every time he’s in a scene it makes me smile.

Ok so I’m not wrong for thinking some of the admiration in this scene is aimed at Cale right? Because they say the expression isn’t related to the kittens’ cuteness so that’s how I always took its, that the admiration is aimed at Cale, and possibly wants praise. Oh my God, he kind of reminds me of Ranpo from Bungou Stray Dogs, wants praise but when you do praise him just goes of course I’m (insert praise here).

Also, I’m pretty sure the reason Cale kind of stumbles over his answer is because he finds them cute but can’t admit that and also feels embarrassed for thinking it.

Still love Hans respecting the kittens more than Cale, I would too. Honestly I feel like the reason I love Hans so much is because I relate to him so much. I too am constantly confused, never truly know what’s going on and respect cats more than people.

Cale is so mean, ignoring the cats like that, not one pat. They should file an official complaint.

Ron thinking Cale isn’t aware the cats are beast people only for him to not only know that, but also know how he wants to use them.

Btw in case you hadn’t noticed this is also a highlights of the chapter thing only everything is a highlight because this story is a delight.

So, Ron planned to teach the Cat Tribe children, he also planned to leave, I’m pretty sure that takes more than a few days. Ron in denial again?

Ron planning to train the cat tribe children as a present is like you buying something for yourself only for your friend to mess around with it and then give it back to you, claiming it’s a present. Also he doesn’t question why these cat tribe siblings cam looking for Cale, just accepts that they did and moves on, doesn’t even think for a second that just maybe they’re already assassins. Who would be trying to assassinate Cale and why? Idk but the fact Ron didn’t even question it, suspicious possibly paranoid assassin Ron, is the strangest thing about this situation.

On and Hong are my favourite little sassy children, and On is usually the sole holder of the group’s collective brain cell.

Them looking at Cale was actually a cry for help but you didn’t hear that from me

And the cry for help worked, kind of, maybe.

The kittens being cute instead of answering the question. After all, the answer should be obvious.

The difference between what they want to eat though. On wantin meat, protein, which provides more energy and is more filling while Hong wants cake which is sweeter and still gives energy but is less filling. It could be an age thing or preference, but it could also subtly show their personalities/dynamic with On being the more practical one of the two.

Cale continues to be one of the first people to believe in them by being one of the first to believe they can be useful/helpful.

it struck me as really odd that Crosshair didn't shoot the female doctor. like the rest of the batch and most of the clones use stun guns ALL THE TIME whereas Crosshair has always shot to kill. again, "severe and unyielding", meaning he takes intense action, committing all the way all the while being so stubborn he hardly ever backs down. honestly, him sparing her is some serious character development. he recognised she was being kind to him and he decided that that was enough reason not to hurt her. either that, or he wanted to abuse her kindness later on

he never wanted to get out, he just wanted to warn his brothers, which is AGAIN SO DIFFERENT from the Cross we've gotten to know in these last two seasons. I actually don't think that's growth anymore. that's Crosshair standing by a choice that he knew was bad for far too long (SEVERE. AND. UNYIELDING.) and now finally admitting he was wrong and going back to what he always wanted and always knew to be right.

Sorry for the late reply, I literally just watched it and i went on a roller coaster of emotions. spoilers ahead for whoever else reads this

I was in tears when i saw that GABRIEL FUCKING AGRESTE HAD A DAMN STATUE AFTER WHAT HE DID, like what the actual fuck. he started off as a goofy bald-looking villain and turned out a whole terrorist. we forget, i guess, that they are teenagers. what he did is unforgivable. akumatizing innocent people, neglecting his son, (i feel for Natalie honestly, cause she deserves better) causing so much stress and probably trauma, stealing miraculous, spreading his terribleness throughout the world, existing.

i also don't know why marinette thought she could reason with him, and i literally howled in laughter when he paralyzed her with venom cause idk why she trusted him. i knew it would happen. he's crazy. you cannot reason with crazy.

I also haven't seen any of the show since season 3 i think, so whenever I saw luka was a guardian, i was happily surprised. i don't even know how that happened, so that's when i burst into my first set of tears. I love that man.

I am also a fan of gimmi just because of the name (also, why did bug noir's eyes look like kiwis?!) and honestly, these two episodes just changed my entire view on marinette. i know it was gabriel's "dying wish" for adrien not to know of his villainy, but that does not mean mari should have kept that wish. if my parental figure did that shit, i'd wanna know, and then if someone i loved pulled what she pulled, i'd be pissed! like wth?! HE DOES NOT DESERVE SHIT. HE'S LITERALLY TERRIBLE. ADRIEN HAS A RIGHT TO KNOW!!!

and then the way marinette knows. she knows everything about what went down, i know it, i know it, i know it. and she didn't fucking tell him, like what the actual fuck. what the fuck. (also, the way ladybug and chat noir still don't know each other's identities is hilarious to me) the truth about that will come out, and it will ruin their relationship. and the only person i'll feel bad for is adrien, and no one else, cause why would she keep that from him? he needs to know that. also, i don't know about that one girl who has the moth miraculous. she looks like a lila

and i'm not hating on how it ended with how their city is now, cause that's super cool, i love the eco rule, and the new school, and how bustier is the mayor, and the new reporter though i liked the old reporter. it was... good. i just don't like how marinette lied, and how gabriel was made to look like a hero though he was a literal fucking terrorist. thats all. and honestly, idk how i feel about adrienette anymore. or marinette anymore. it's just... idk

Yes, Yes, they are still problematic characters, fully aware but problematic characters are fun in fiction. Real life? No way. Who would be okay with any of the bl fictional characters? I mean really, Sean and Black have anger management problems. SCOY is about a stalker and stalky who fall in love. As much as I love Pai, in real life we'd beg Sky to call the cops. Let's not even talk about the Kinnporsche couples. Are we not allowed to live vicariously through art anymore?

Yai is being super cute. I'm liking it. I'm seeing a redemption arc here. Oh, look Mankorn being. Home dude is hooked. You like that old fashioned, shut up. Oh yeah, he's caught feelings. A Very Honest Slenderman(2018) Review!!!

by a creepypasta fanatic and someone who needs to think about smth else to not k- moving onto the "review". (it's not a real review i'm just gonna shit on it obviously)

It's just gonna be a list of things I noticed that bothered me throughout the whole film and made it physically difficult to watch. That was the second movie that took me two days to watch not because I was scared, but because it hurt my brain to finish it. ((((also yes. i am very . VERY . late to the party. i know. don't worry)))

Starting off, the characters are not likeable at all. None of them. They don't behave like actual teenagers. Someone from that directing team was observing high school students for a week with a notepad and was done after thinking they did a good job. I may or may not be autistic and not behave like that either but I've been in high school and have seen stuff. Obviously.

Second of all who just watches adult vids and calls it a night with friends wtf-

Not important . Maybe someone does?? Also these teenagers are created to be so edgy for absolutely no reason ((pointing out that line from ginger girlie saying that the cat should've exploded at the end i'm so fkn glad she was gone first)).

Another thing. Let's get to the star of the mfing show,,, Slenderman .

What they made of him was some kind of a,,, dryad?? Like there's legit some Slenderman Tree in the woods that he walks out of to collect kids and bear them with his big ol' self. Don't get me wrong that concept would be cool on it's own if not the thing that. It doesn't suit him at all. And the Slenderman Summoning Video as well- wth was that . You're telling me some bells (something added for the sake of the movie I suppose bcuz i never heard of that) with added five stock images of what'd you get if you typed 'illuminati' giving you a high speed seizure attack are gonna summon this big boy? The reactions are so hilarious to me as well WHY WERE THESE GIRLS PANTING AS IF THE DAMN SLENDERMAN WAS THERE WITH THEM give me a break. That would hint at least Slendy is some kind of . illuminati-ish experiment left off in the local woods grabbing kids to expand the tree for decades? i suppose.

Mostly what they did with him is giving marble hornets series but make it a on-budget parody that relies for it's damn life on shock value- flashing images constantly, having those ominous shots to make you feel something and lemme tell you i did feel something(nauseous). Also having the original contest images in the film was fucking hilarious so uh +1 for that but that's the only thing i actually liked.

Yet another thing! Nothing in this movie felt genuinely connected to each other,, if it was an artistic interpretation or smth idk i think i wouldn't mind as much but don't be calling this a damn full fleshed out movie.

The Slendy in this movie felt like a totally different being than the original it was sad to watch.

the effects were ,,,alright? like nothing to hate but nothing specific about it to like . it was just alright at best.

very last thing unless i've decided i remembered smth else-

THE LIGHT WORK IN THIS MOVIE WAS SO FUCKING TERRIBLE I HAD MY SCREEN LIGHT SET ON MAX AND STILL COULDN'T SEE A DAMN THING AND GUESS WHAT? THAT WAS THRU OUT LIKE 80% OF THE DAMN MOVIE

I so wish I had some good analysis on UMG, because, gah, I really wanna like it! I mean: Nanon x Namtan x Milk x Drake x Sing! Come onnnnnnnnnn. Nanon and Milk in love, really? This must be good, right?

I’m caught up on the series now after my trip, and the show is just totally flat. Nanon’s acting, before Milk/Erng showed up, was fabulous — heartbroken, yearning. The mystery of the missing Erng was still out there. There was great attraction tension between Nanon and Namtan/Fahsai, especially when Fahsai discovered she had a rival in Erng. They were all a part of this mystery explorers club, and we were going to learn why they were all interested in the otherworldly, right?

Totally wrong. I dunno. At least in the club settings, these students almost seem like bored dilettantes, but that's a little too harsh. What I mean to say is: I am not convinced as to why any of them want to BE in this club. I'm not convinced that Fahsai is ACTUALLY INTERESTED in aliens, because no compelling reason or background has been given to it -- the only flashback background we're given is between Nanon/Mew and Erng.

And lord, the kid actors are out-acting Nanon and Milk. I'm way more convinced that the kid versions of Mew and Erng will get together! I don't know why, but it seems like Nanon and Milk are holding themselves back from some real emotion! Yes, we need to discover more about Milk and why she's been held captive by the aliens (and okay, maybe Mew has some hesitation about getting with someone who could freeze his ass, but ANYWAY) -- the script isn't allowing anyone to feel anything. It's this mismashy mix of comedy (ill-placed), emotion (not really going far), sexual tension (Fahsai is totally flat -- girl, just MAKE YOUR MOVES ON MEW!), bad camera work and cinematography (why those close-up shots of Mew and Kit, wth?), and just dumb dialogue (we didn't need that whole alien vs. monster thing in episode 5, my god!).

Add this to the lack of investment in GMMTV's SFX department (I'm looking at you, Midnight Museum), and there's a lot to complain about. I'm unfortunately invested in what will happen with this alien that's just showing up in public now (I guess they have fabulous eyelashes on other planets) that I'll watch this for a few more episodes. But I'm peeved that I spent my last two nights catching up with this instead of watching The Eighth Sense, which I'm going to binge ASAP. This was a huge wasted opportunity for Nanon and Milk to build something together, and Nanon was WAY WAY better in Midnight Museum (at least in the few episodes I peeped mid-series), so I know this is the script and not his acting. okay, since season 6 is done, can we talk about Maya's captaincy.

i think its not fair how the writers didnt show how good maya as a captain was (probably because the writers wanna make andy the center of ... everything(?))

like on season 3, its all about maya didnt deserve to be captain and how she 'stole' the role from andy. on every single call everyone questioned her decision, except for vic, ben and dean. so people might saw it as how she wasn't really capable of leading her team(?)

instead of showing women supporting women, the writers showed how sexist thinking of a girl is a girl's biggest enemy is true. Even go as far as Andy expecting maya to eventually "burned down the house", like wth??

on season 4, half of the season she wasnt even a captain (because she was being a good girlfriend). the show also took a couple episodes for individual characters, hence no firefighting action. and most of the time they had calls, they would give the brilliant ideas came from other people like sullivan (as if the writers wanted to show how good he was🙄)

the only big decision she made was in the last episode of season 4, which led to her demotion.

they only show her as a good captain in a subtle way (which people might not see in the first watch). like her willingness to listen to her subordinates (unlike other characters) and complimented them. and i like how everytime someone questioned her decision she would explain why she made that decision (which was not necessary), unlike other character who always use the "im your captain, therefore you should listen to me, no question asked".

i think thats why people out there who overly hate maya think that maya wasn't a good captain(?) 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hi Spooky !! So I’ve been getting through some of the recs you gave me for my Halloween marathon :33 AND i saw Child’s Play — which i liked way more than I thought i would, like it’s genuinely pretty funny And i cant wait to watch the sequels, leTS FUCKING GOOO — Yesterday was Idle Hands which sksksks wanna a silly little movie, ‘twas truly delightful, all the characters are fun/cool except for Anton most of the movie so it took a while for me to feel bad for him, BUT i did eventually, i really enjoyed it so it’s definitely up there for the rewatchbility of it !! — I CANT REMEMBER IF YOU RECOMMENDED POLTERGEIST OR NOT ??? I think you did but anyways I really liked it !!! The supernatural stuff is pretty mild + the 80s special effects make it not that scary to me, also i felt really bad for that fucking family ? What the hell ?!?! The dad was the fucking mvp he did The Most and he looked great doing it (10/10 - could watch again)

NOW for movies that ik you didn’t recommend but have been mentioned here at some point: Black Telephone and Butcher Baker Nightmare Maker. I saw someone recommended BT for you a whole ago and if you haven’t had the time yet to watch it please know it’s super worth it !!!! The main characters are really good and interesting and the acting is just phenomenal, specIALLY THE KIDS WTH, AND theres a bit of a supernatural thing to it but it was just fun/good for the plot and not so much trying to get you to shit ur pants, ya know?

AND for BBNM, i was very excited for this movie, to me it was a classic like 80s slasher, the tENSION, the creative like weapon choices, the like twist/break the killer goes through (like after its clear to us/other characters they did it) and THE ACTORS ARE JUST PHENOMENAL — like the aunt is/has been basically grooming her nephew since he was 3 and god does it show, some scenes are so creepy, and moments were someone would you know question her/ her actions, he doesn’t even Think to doubt her, it was terrible (but in a good way, story wise) OH AND BILL PAXTON, he doesn’t show up a lot (i think with dialogue for 2 or 3 scenes maybe) and he plays classic homophobic with daddy issues so 😐 but he did look good tho so theres that

POLTERGEIST! That completely slipped my mind, I didn't watch it often but I do remember parts of it and it's really good. And I did see the black phone!!! It was so good I mean the protagonist was so smart and using the ghost of the children was a haunting aspect I didn't expect but so glad they did it. Gwen was my favorite character she reminded me of how I was as a kid and I also have prophetic dreams like her. So does my one grandmother. We both dream of family deaths and major events going to happen and it almost always comes true so it was so different to see them utilize that in the movie. I went in expecting a kidnapping survival and got so much more!!

And bro I have GOT to watch it!! I couldn't find it under Butcher Baker Nightmare Maker so I saw someone recommend searching Night Warning and there it is (Idk why they picked these titles bc it makes it so much harder to find bro ong) and yeeaahhh I kind of expect the homophobia and sexism in 80s movies I just try to take it with a grain of salt I think that's why I like Lost Boys and Near Dark sm bc...Wow...An 80s movie with an 80s aesthetic...and no homophobia or sexism or racism? OMFG FINALLY!!

Another one with Bill I watched but was HORRIBLE was Boxing Helena. I'm usually not a snob with movies but it was like bad cheesy softcore porn for someone with weird fetishes. The guy/doctor is basically an incest mommy issues guy bc of his vapid mother who just 'died' out of nowhere and he inherited her home and he's engaged to a wonderful woman that is also a doctor and too good for him but the kicker is he is OBSESSED with a woman that he had a one night stand with years ago and wants nothing to do with him but he's a toxic fucking weirdo that does everything he can (Including cutting her limbs off....You heard me.) in order to make her dependent on him bc...Shocker; she reminds him of his shitty Mom. You are filthy rich go to therapy you freak. I felt zero remorse for him and the movie tries to make you sympathize with him and it's like...Why?

THE ONLY part, I do mean, THE ONLY FUCKING PART worth watching is the explict Bill Paxton sex scene the first 15 minutes he has the woman's entire boob in his mouth while he's grinding her hips on his uh...And MOANING while he does it...I'd scream w/o the s on the spot if I was her istg 💦 Like I was so flustered bc I DID NOT expect it to be that explict 😳😳😳

ok so i wanna start off by saying, visually this was absolutely INCREDIBLE and suited the story in the best way possible. I know theyd have to cut stuff out of the story based on how this was animated and produced, but i just feel like they didn't condense it in a way that gave everyone the full sense of the story? 

lets start off by the fact that teacher was kinda...weird with shiva? not like anything problematic but his deminer around her just wasn't what he had in the manga. They throw us in immediately when he found her making it seem like this all happens over the course of a few days rather than like 2 months. He just wasnt as fatherly to her as he was in the manga either.

THEY DIDNT EVEN SHOW TEACHER KICKING THE OUTSIDERS ASS AND CHOPPING OFF ITS HEAD????? they just make it bop around headless and nothing was even explained as to WHY hes headless...and it never touched shiva??? aunty just dosent even exist i guess. love how they excluded someone so important to shivas own character. no burnt pies, no flour messes...kinda just goes from point a to b really fast. dont even get me started on how the entire religious aspect of this story and the sacrificial element shiva served as was just disregarded. 

The curse was never really properly explained, shiva just starts bawling and im like “wait whys she crying wth happened”, like it was implied she was cursed but idk it felt too up in the air for me, and the fact it felt like this all happened over days and not months gives the vibe that shiva and teacher weren't as bonded as they were. like as far as the manga it dosent even end with a clear indication of what happened in the end and in my opinion, ive never actually talked this out and i need to re read the manga again, shiva, or the outsider disguised as shiva, was a manifestation of aspects of his escaped soul that produced a young girl with a similar appearance to his daughter. we dont even BEGIN to grasp how tragic of a character teacher is which is so unfortunate... 

OVERALL. I think i liked it for what it was, but yeah the girl from the other side is one of my all time favorite mangas and stories in general and this “movie” didnt do it for me, it for sure didnt reward the manga readers in any way, it left nearly all of it out. The increased unnerving and creepy vibe was pretty cool though so ill give it that. im curious to see the reactions of people who are watching this blind, i think because i went in with so much outside information the lack of any plot at all was kind of a let down

• first and foremost, karolina and nico getting ready for the gala *screams* then gert getting the hint between the two?! it’s like a triple love triangle cause there’s alex-nico-karolina, nico-karolina-chase, karolina-chase-gert (also, i like to think that gert’s definitely not straight but is totally into chase) ((but also the way everyone’s so accepting of everything is so nice it’s making me cry tears of happiness, like ah yes fuck heteronormativity! oh if such things were like this irl *big sigh as i stare off into the distance))

• not all the family secrets coming out though, so many affairs man, like there’s this thing called communication? y’all should really try it sometime

• the parent drama is really off the charts, i’m so speechless, there’s the dean’s and jonah situation which i feel is just getting started, but the whole stein and minoru affair is whack OOP SPOKE TO SOON IT’S MORE WHACK i’m guessing that the serum that jonah gave victor wore off which made him a jerk again to chase BUT THEN JANET JUST SHOT HIM?! IN FRONT OF HER SON?!?! i get the whole child comes first and victor was totally out of line, but wow i am truly speechless

[now a brief intermission about deanoru] can we also talk about how raspy karolina’s voice is and how deep nico’s is cause wow, i’m a different type of speechless now *heart eyes* [back to our regularly scheduled inputs]

• but i also really love molly’s relationship with nico and karolina too, and how in general both nico and karolina genuinely care for everyone in the group, they are literally people i’d want as my friends

• ANOTHER BUT, it was so sad when alex revealed everything to nico and she admitted how she’s felt/been feeling, like this whole little arc between them is such a good little side plot

okay i’m dead ass laughing, i only have one input from episode 8 and it’s “not molly not knowing what a vhs tape is, i’m dead” i’m guessing i was really into that episode since there’s not a lot of inputs lol

and episode 9 had some of the best lines:

Okay, Im onto ep 6 and I think I kinda figured out why I suddenly got so bored bc like. yea this is really boring in general rn but I wasnt that suffering this much when I started and I think its bc they dont have those cutscenes in the beginning anymore. I feel like those gave me a lil something to look forward to and make this a bit less tedilus but now theyre not there anymore :( also I really wanna see Zane again and it pains me that he doesnt show up until like ep 40 smth

Okay, I think I'll probably put a small timeskip here and do like the equivalent of a montage of Aphmau repairing her house n interacting w/ the villagers some more

So yea, Aphmaus moving into her new house, thats a good opportunity for some Aph/Emmalyn bonding and interactions w/ the other villagers. Also, depending on how this episode goes, I might want either Garroth or Zenix to help out too, but I'll wait to see how this ep goes first

Oh god this entire episode is literally just Aphmau moving huh

Maybe Aphmau built a lil chicken enclosure thingy during that aforementioned timeskip and some other stuff like more wooden paths n stuff

Anyway, Aphmau finishes moving in, maybe we can have some villagers like her friends n stuff wanting to celebrate that a little or smth but shes just like "nah sry guys, Im tired from all this moving" and takes a nap

Vischers death scene is fine ig?? I'll probably tweak it a lil bc it honestly just seems kinda comical the way it is now. (Ive read some of the comments and one of them even mentions that they laughed at Vischers death here, but that it was pretty impactful in the remake, so maybe I'll watch that for some ideas) I'll probably add a close up or too or maybe write that scene from a perspective that focuses more on him

Aphmau in the OG doesnt wake up from that explosion at the docks even though she lives pretty close by?? Idk, I feel like theres not really a point to that and I think having her wake up all confused and afraid, maybe going out to check on the village first before then going to the docks would be better? If we completely take out that scene of Vischers death and just see Aphmau sleep and then get woken up by this loud explosion noise, it could even make for some good tension

Also, theres this weirdo outside of Aphmaus house?? I'll move it back to a bit later but keep it the same otherwise bc I dont remember wth hes doin there

At the docks, I think we should linger a bit more on the destruction and just generally have Aphmau be a bit more upset but otherwise everything is the same, Zenix n Paul are still there even though its pretty late in the night/early in the morning (maybe add a detail abt Paul looking tired)

I'm keeping the Convo between Zenix n Aphmau as well as the one between Paul n Aphmau the same, but I'm switching their places so she approaches Paul first bc hes the civilian, he just lost his best friend and would probably have the bigger reaction and just be someone that Aphmau would be a bit more worried about as opposed to the guard who should be more used to stuff like this

So yea, shes still kinda distraught but goes over to Garroth like Zenix told her to, their convo is also the same as the OG

Aphmau accepts and tries to make plans for building a boat and for potentially rebuilding the docks while she goes around town. Shes thinking about how exactly she'll approach this bc building a boat is kinda difficult on your own but shes like not supposed to tell anyone else that this happened while walking around the village and sees Brendon, so she goes over to talk to him

The convo plays out like in the OG with her telling him about the docks but ommiting Vishers death. Also, it takes place outside somewhere, not just. in his house that Aphmau just waltzted into bc she can

She feels relieved that she has at least one person to help her know and decides that thats probably enough, maybe have her walk around and consider telling it to other people before she comes to that conclusion though

After that, she gets home and just keeps trying to think up plans on how to fix things, its p difficult when someone died and shes supposed to build a boat so she can bring his bff and his dead corpse home but yknow, she manages. somehow. Alternatively, she could have a sort of quiet reflective and/or mourning moment instead, Im not fully sure in which direction I wanna go in when it comes to her character
