hey!! ty for posting about the article talking about continuation of aa. I don’t know as much about the production of aa5 and 6 but you mentioned a person names Eshiro being responsible for the “no spoilers” rule being replaced. what/who is that? just in general giving u the floor to rant about aa5 and 6 beyond what u were able to say in that post and ur hopes for the future 💙✨ ok bye! :)
hiya!! (post here)
So, the story of why aa5 and aa6 are so different to aa4 basically boils down to a change in the team making it (and Eshiro was part of this).
Most people know Shu Takumi wrote and directed the original trilogy of Phoenix Wright games and then worked on Apollo Justice (although the director was technically Mitsuru Endo, people tend to think of AJ as the last "Takumi" mainline game). After that, he left the Ace Attorney team to complete and release Ghost Trick in 2010, and then he became involved in the development of Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright, which released in 2012.
While he was doing all of this, a "secondary" Ace Attorney team had arisen to keep working on the franchise - they had almost all worked on previous AA games and in 2009 and 2011 they were able to release the two Ace Attorney Investigations games.
The two most well-known members of this "team" are the producer Motohide Eshiro and the director Takeshi Yamazaki, and the fact that AAI2 is so beloved shows that they are by no means unable to make really, really good Ace Attorney games. But, with Takumi still busy with his other projects, and a good few years having passed since AA4, this team was asked to create a fifth Ace Attorney game in his absence.
This was, obviously, a challenge, and Capcom were likely in quite a rush to get a new mainline game out soon. Additionally, initial fan reception of AA4 was really not that good - many people hated the decision to disbar Phoenix in particular - and the game itself had many loose ends.
Eshiro, as the producer, decided that for AA5 it was better for the writers to not be held back by previous games, which manifested in what people think of now as the "no spoilers rule". This is why AA5 does not follow up on AA4, and likewise for AA6. Nowadays this decision is widely regarded as a very bad move, but on some level I empathise with it - AA has always been kind of reluctant to spoil past games, and you were always operating with the presumption that the player might be new to the series and wanted to go back to the previous games. Writing a follow-up that addressed AA4, while being acceptable to newcomers and not spoiling almost all of AA4's biggest twists, without the guy who originally came up with the story, would prove really difficult.
So they wrote Dual Destinies as a new story which followed AA4 but didn't really address it, and indulged in fanservice to try and restore the series status quo. It seems like the scenario changed a lot during development and they were pretty crunched for time, too - the final villain's models are apparently called FINALBOSS in the game files and completely broken if you look at them from any other angle.
After working on AA5, Yamazaki was apparently exhausted and didn't really want to make another Ace Attorney. Unfortunately for him, Shu Takumi was still off on his Sherlock & Souseki Victorian-Meiji Adventure, writing the Great Ace Attorney duology, and he wouldn't get done until 2017 when DGS2 came out.
Eshiro managed to persuade Yamazaki to work on AA6 by bringing him to conventions, and having seen the passion and overjoyed reactions from fans after AA5 came out, Yamazaki agreed to direct the sixth game, with Takuro Fuse (AA5 and 6's main artist) acting as co-director to ease the load. Some of AA6's cases were also created by guest writers; the SOJ artbook mentions a struggle for ideas, which explains the outlandish setting of Khura'in.
To the best of my knowledge (and I'm not sure this account is 100% accurate so anyone please feel free to correct me) this is why AA5 and AA6 are the way they are. Nobody is particularly to blame for how things turned out; there were just a couple of bad decisions along the way which has resulted in the games being looked back on by a lot of people with some contempt. Given the circumstances, I'm actually pretty impressed with how enjoyable Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice are, even if they don't reach the heights of the trilogy.
Yamazaki left Capcom in 2019. Eshiro went on to produce Dai Gyakuten Saiban 2, and I'm pretty sure he's still at Capcom.
What all of this means for the next Ace Attorney title is completely speculation, but the short version of the story is that Shu Takumi has finally come back from getting milk Herlock Sholmes Jail writing other games, and seems to be getting hyped up by capcom as the "Director of the Ace Attorney Series". This makes it very likely he will direct and write the next Ace Attorney game. At present we have no idea what this means - he could follow up on AA4's story as well as he's able, he could write another Phoenix game, he might go rogue and write an Athena game, he might do something completely different. But the next AA game will likely be around the quality of AA1-2-3-4 and DGS, not another AA5/6 situation.
As for the producer, this comes from the November 2020 leaks (which was very real - it's where we first got the TGAA localisation confirmed), but the only thing we heard about their projected AA7 was that it would be produced by a guy called Yasayuki Makino. He also produced The Great Ace Attorney collection, and if you read his dev blogs from that release, he credits AA4 for getting him into the series initially, and generally seems to be a huge Ace Attorney fan himself, pushing hard for TGAA to get a worldwide re-release after its unimpressive initial sales (and look how well that's worked out...!)
That's basically the story. I think AA7 will be great, actually, but at this point I will literally take anything, Capcom please my family is starving

are there any shakespeare retellings you recommend? i really enjoy retellings but it's also difficult to find ones that like. actually understand the source material... i've read your novella duodecimal and really liked it btw! excellent take on twelfth night :-)
THANK YOU SO MUCH WAH... yes, i can recommend some retellings! i keep intending to make a big post with my recs, actually, but there are so many out there that i haven't read yet... so for now here's an incomplete list:
a thousand acres by jane smiley: the first one that came to my mind seeing this ask. it's a retelling of lear set on an american farmstead, and the adaptation is done beautifully and smoothly--it's just distinct enough from OG Lear that you can judge it as a book on its own but also as a lear retelling. and it's sooooo good. it starts a little slow, but the character work is so excellent and it almost made me cry (i will note that there's a pretty hefty cw on this one but... saying what it is is technically spoilers? but feel free to send another ask or message if you want to know up-front)
the last true poets of the sea by julia drake: books that made me have to turn my camera off in zoom class so i could bawl properly. books written for me specifically. this is a loose YA retelling of twelfth night (looser than some of the other retellings on this list) and it's like. perfect. the teenage dialogue actually sounds like teenagers. every emotional beat clubbed me over the head. the love triangle is present--and done really well; it's not present for drama but because sometimes being a teenager is confusing--but more than that this is a book about the relationship between violet and her sibling, and about mental health, and god it makes me CRAZY. also girls kiss in this one
rosencrantz and guildenstern are dead by tom stoppard: i mean. i think most people into shakespeare know r&gad. but in case you haven't read it yet, it's an absurdist play from the point of view of rosencrantz and guildenstern and it's absolutely fucking brilliant. not sure what else to say about this; you've really just gotta read it
teenage dick by mike lew: another play, this one on the modern side--a retelling of richard iii set in a high school, focusing explicitly on disability issues. kind of more a reimagining than a retelling, honestly, but i really like the exploration of r3's themes and also it's fucking hysterical. although i will say there's a kind of jarring tonal shift in this one near the end, so don't go to it for something 100% comedic
american moor by keith hamilton cobb: okay this isn't exactly a retelling but if you've ever read othello you have to read it. you just have to. please god if you've ever read a shakespeare PLEASE. it's a monologue from the perspective of a black man trying out for the role of othello, half-resigned to being pigeonholed into playing that specific role in a very specific way as directed by a white director, but also half-chafing against that resignation, and also exploring the complexities of loving shakespeare as a black man, and it's soooooo so good
exit, pursued by a bear by e.k. johnston: this one is kind of cheating because it's not really a retelling, in that it has next to nothing to do with the winter's tale except that there is a hermione character and a leontes character and a paulina character. i still think it's a very very well-done YA book, though, and one of the only ones i've read that deals head-on with abortion
foul is fair by hannah capin: okay, i will admit i read this one some years ago when i was more into YA, so i'm not sure i would still go crazy over it now, but the plot of this book is that the modern lady macbeth character gets assaulted by a guy at a party and decides to kill everyone who let that happen. and then she does. and idk i read it in two days it felt like being on crack
the wednesday wars by gary schmidt: this one is DEFINITELY cheating, because this isn't a retelling of anything. but if you like shakespeare and you're open to reading historical fiction about a kid in the 60s using shakespeare as a lens through which to understand the chaos of his life (from the vietnam war to his school crush)... it's so good. it made me nearly sob. beautiful book
i'm also a fan of ryan north's shakespeare choose-your-own-adventure books, but those aren't exactly retellings and also the humor will probably not work for everyone. but i like em <3
and finally, i would be remiss not to shout out the fact that @suits-of-woe wrote an INCREDIBLE retelling of the two gentlemen of verona that, like, redeemed the fact that that play exists. if you've read that play and you thought, "wow, i wish this were explicitly homoerotic, or not a rape apologia, or good in any way," you will LOVE macy's book. unfortunately it isn't fucking published yet but WITH YOUR HELP--

If Cosmere Characters worked at a coffee shop...
[Spoilers for Rhythm of War & Mistborn Era 1, technically! All other references should be safe.]
Let’s say the Cosmere characters lived in our world and worked as baristas. What would they be like in that role?
1. Kaladin: Keeps trying (in vain) to unionize with the other employees
Kaladin: I really thought we had it, that time.
Kaladin: I can’t believe I’m the only one who didn’t get fired.
Kaladin: AGAIN
2. Shallan: Makes the most gorgeous latte art you’ve ever seen
Customer: H-How did you make the flower 3D? It’s just MILK
Shallan: I learned it from a book!
3. Sarene: Is the queen of malicious compliance and working to rule
Sarene: Manager got on my case because the customer said the coffee was weak.
Sarene: I am using this scale to measure out the proper coffee amounts to the gram.
Sarene: These tweezers help.
4. Kelsier: The rumors of his firing were greatly exaggerated
Doug the normal barista: Uh, I’m pretty sure our new coworker Ty Decker is just Kelsier in a mustache.
Doug the other normal barista: Impossible! We saw him get fired!
Doug #1: I’m telling you, man! It’s like he can’t leave this coffeeshop!
“Ty” (to a customer): Hello would you like to join my secret club?
Doug #2 (whispering): And I’m pretty sure he’s in an MLM!
5. Adolin: Knows each customer by name (and flirts for tips)
Adolin: Janala! It’s so great to see you! You look gorgeous as always!
Janala: ...
Janala: Is our date going to be just hanging out at your coffeeshop while you’re working?
Adolin: I-It’ll be fun; you’ll see!
6. Lirin: Refuses to apply upcharges
Lirin: No one should have to pay EXTRA for oatmilk!
Lirin: I’m just going to give this to you for free.
7. Steris: Has the employee handbook memorized
Steris: Actually, it’s illegal to ask Doug to start the coffee before he clocks in.
Steris: Employee handbook Section 3.7a.
8. Lightsong: Refuses to believe that he is a god (of coffeemaking)
Lightsong: Ugh, WHY are we always so much busier when I’m working?
Lightsong: I’m not even that good at making coffee!
Llarimar: People believe your coffee is the best in town.
Lightsong: The coffee maker does all the work!
9. Lezian: Keeps forming grudges against coworkers
Lezian: Every time someone else gets chosen for Employee of the Month instead of me...
Lezian: I make it my mission to see them FIRED before the month is OVER!
Kaladin: But that’s...always.
Kaladin: You’re not very good at your job.
Lezian: THAT’S IT
Lezian: YOU’RE ON MY LIST
10. Tress: Really just loves the cups
Tress: Oh! I love your travel mug!
Tress: Where is it from?
11. Vivenna: Gradually has all of her coffeeshop illusions shattered
Vivenna: Man, I really thought people would come in, order off the menu, and then wait politely for their drink to be made and delivered.
Customer: NINE SHOTS OF ESPRESSO! WHIPPED CREAM!
Vivenna: I have seen the darkest parts of humanity.
12. Hoid: Is somehow everyone’s previous coworker
Shallan: Wait, didn’t we work for UberEats together?
Kelsier: No, that’s the bastard who slapped me! In the middle of Walmart! While we were on the clock!
Kaladin: Huh? I think that’s the guy who always changed the radio station in the store I used to work at.
Steris: I think he did Lyft with my sister.
Vivenna: Are you sure? I thought he worked at a bookstore with MY sister.
Sarene: I think I recognize him from my last office job. He never really seemed to do anything.
Adolin: How old IS this guy??
13. Rock: Makes the coffee...very strong
Rock: This is how we drink it where I’m from!
Customer: M-My tongue is dissolving!
14. Jasnah: Doesn’t like coffee
Shallan: You don’t like coffee??
Jasnah: I do not.
Shallan: You work in a coffee shop!
Jasnah: I don’t try to convince others to dislike coffee.
Jasnah: But I do believe that it is an unnecessary contrivance that people depend too much on.
Shallan: I thought you pulled, like, constant all-nighters!
Jasnah: That’s just sheer willpower.
15. Silence: Takes safety rules very seriously
Silence: Hey!
Silence: Wash out that cut, put on a band-aid, and wear gloves! You can’t bleed around food!
Silence: T-turn off that stove! You shouldn’t leave an open flame if you’re not heating something up!
Silence: AND NO RUNNING!

FNAF Movie Requests - CLOSED
Tumblr media
Requests CLOSED as of November 16th, 2023.
(Requests are now closed, and I am keeping this request form up in case I have need for this again.)
So, I highly resisted the urge to fall into the fanfiction hole with the Five Nights At Freddy's Movie characters, but here I am lmao. Josh Hutcherson is so wonderfully sat, wet, and pathetic and I can't help myself.
I have tweaked my prompt list for this fandom, and you don't have to use these prompts when requesting fics, but please keep in mind that I am more likely to write and complete a request if it is simplistic and can be written in a shorter fic. I aim to keep request fics under two thousand words (around three thousand words at most).
Characters I write for: Mike Schmidt, Vanessa Monroe (Afton), and William Afton (Steve Raglan). (I may also write platonic fics with animatronic characters if people want to see that?)
Note: I will be writing for the movie version of the characters, but because I am a fan of the games, I am not against making references to the games and playing around with the canonicity. I care much more about the themes of the games than any solid sense of canon.
Requests can be sent to my ask box here or to my ask box over on my writing blog @sundrop-writes - I am probably not going to get to requests right away because unfortunately I am feeling sick right now, but I wanted to post this request form to help me get inspired. Please read all the rules/guidelines below before sending in a request.
(More information below the cut - please read it before requesting.)
(Also - warning, this prompt list technically does have some mild spoilers for the movie.)
I will accept requests for poly ships. (Character x reader x character.) I love requests like this - I think for this fandom, the only one that really works is Vanessa x Reader x Mike (which is one that I would really love to do), but under certain circumstances, with the right request, I might write Mike x Reader x William.
In your request, please specify if the reader character is female, male, or gender neutral. When I write gender neutral fics, I do not describe what kind of genitals they have in any way, so I don’t write ‘GN AFAB’ reader fics. If you want the reader character to have a vagina, that would be a fem reader in my fics.
EDIT: Typically, I don't write for reader characters that have specific traits - like a specific race, height, described as having specific looks, etc. but my one exception to this rule is that I love writing plus sized/fat reader fics. I love spreading love for fat bodies, especially through fics, and I love making people feel good about their fatness through the gaze of a fictional character. So feel free to send in requests for a plus sized reader character, it's one of my favourite things to write!
I will write smut, angst, or fluff, but I mostly prefer writing smut or angst. When requesting smut, please specify if you want the characters to be dominant or submissive. In your request, write ‘sub!reader’ or ‘dom!reader’ or something like this to let me know. I am a big fan of writing submissive men, so know I don’t shy away from that, but I will write any dynamic as long as it’s properly communicated to me.
I will for a lot of dark topics and different kinks. In general, the list of things that I won’t write is a lot shorter than the list of that I will. So if you’re wondering if a request is okay with me or not, just ask!
Just for reference, my big no-nos are: virgin!reader, sexually inexperienced!reader, or innocent!reader - I am okay with doing a ‘faux’ innocent reader or writing about the canon character being a virgin and having their first sexual experience with the reader. I am okay with writing about sexual cocercion, sexual blackmail, or dubcon.
Also, I don’t write fics about miscarriages, safeword use, or extreme choking kink. While I don’t write about miscarriage, I am okay with writing about pregnancy (and it’s something I enjoy writing about).
Smut Prompts/Ideas:
The canon character is a virgin (ex: virgin!Mike)
“Just the tip.”
Stuck and Fucked/Situational Bondage
Hate Fucking
There Was Only One Bed
Caught Masturbating
“Can you teach me how to do (blank)?” (ex: “Can you teach me how to give someone an orgasm?” “Can you teach me how to perform oral?”)
Late Night Semi-Public Sex (bathroom sex, kitchen counter sex, etc.) where they shove a hand over your mouth to keep you quiet (or purposefully try to make you scream)
Overstimulation
Breeding Kink (or Faux Breeding Kink with a Strap-On)
Extreme Dirty Talk
Phone Sex
Underwear Stealing
Them taking dirty pictures of you
Unknown surveillance/Perv!Canon Character/Them getting off to you doing something mundane
Dumbification Kink/Objectification
Daddy Kink or Mommy Kink (their reaction to being called Daddy or Mommy for their first time)
Them masturbating to the thought of you
(There is more kinks that I enjoy writing, but this is just all that I thought to add to this list)
Angst Prompts/Ideas:
(You should definitely send in some of these, I love writing angst but people don’t request it as often. I will even write hurt/comfort just to write the angst part, so you can send in a hurt/comfort request if you prefer.)
They break up with you to keep you away from danger (this one would work really well with Vanessa)
Attending to their injuries after a fight (or, them attending to your injuries after a fight)
You are attacked (verbally or physically) and they step in to save you
Their reaction to you being killed/your death (bonus angst: you died before they got to confess their feelings to you)
One of you has been brainwashed and completely forgets the other
(Directly inspired by the movie) - you are in a coma and they confess their feelings for you thinking that you can't hear them
They save you from a near-death experience (or you save them)
They find out you are alive after thinking you had died
Being reunited after years, but you didn’t part on good terms
“Who did this to you?”
Unrequited Love (they see you with someone else, they think that you’ll never love them back, etc.)
(For hurt/comfort, I can do any of these with a sappy ending!)
Fluff Ideas/Prompts:
They confess their love for you
Your first kiss together
They surprise you with a cute date
(I am really stalled for ideas for this list, I suck at writing pure fluff lmao)
(Again, you don’t have to use these prompts, I just think that these are good examples of things that will fit the 1k-2k mark.)

Elven Aging, the Reason They Trance, & What That Might Mean for Astarion
It’s been brought to my attention some people are under the impression Astarion is a child because of some common misconceptions concerning the elven perception of aging. I have come to remedy that and give a short (relatively speaking) rundown of elven aging, the reason they trance (and how that’s related), and what that might mean for Astarion given his affliction.
So, for the most part elves age just like humans would - they just have significantly longer life spans. However, elves do have what are considered milestones which are more symbolic than anything. Elven “adulthood” is achieved at the age of 100 and this is when they choose an “adult” name. The reason for this is that elves reincarnate. I’m not going to go into all the deep lore surrounding this concept and why that is because we would be here for awhile. But I digress.
Another common misconception is that trancing is like sleep. It’s not. While elves trance they are reliving aspects of their past lives and they continue to do this until a certain point. Since Astarion is still technically 39, he should still be doing this at this point, as well as reflecting on the memories from his current life (more on that soon). Speaking of, we’re going to backtrack for a moment to shed some light on elven adulthood and why their 100th birthday is so significant.
The reason the age 100 is significant to elves is because it’s one of those big milestones. It’s symbolic more than anything but it’s essentially a time to mark the “new” elf so to speak, since as elves continue to age they begin to forget their past lives and relive their current memories more and more. This happens until those past lives are forgotten and they can only recall their current life. I know, that’s a lot to process but again this is a very brief overview of elven aging.
So in short, Astarion is a 39 year old adult by human standards with a shit tone of baggage. Now to be clear, that doesn’t make the fact he was turned before 100 any less tragic. It is sad, incredibly so, he’s trapped in time and these circumstances were essentially forced on him without him really understanding what they would entail.
Astarion is also a kind of special circumstance. He tells us he doesn’t remember anything about his past life & that shouldn’t be the case. If he was a normal elf he’d be able to remember this, as well as some of his past lives. He could be lying but I personally don’t think that’s the case.
Now this is where we get into head cannon & spoiler territory for Astarion origins, so take this with a grain of salt. And again, mind the spoilers.
I think it’s entirely possible that Astarion has been so traumatized by Cazador that all he can recall during his trances is that. His time with Cazador & his siblings. The reason for this mainly hinges on the cut scene we get in Astarion’s origins when you take your first long rest & Astarion remembers Cazador’s “rules”. Couple that along with what he tells our Tav/Dark Urge about not being able to remember his past outside of the Gur beating him & Cazador “rescuing” him, & you’ve got some angst to brood over.
So there you have it! I hope you all learned something & enjoyed the angst. I’d also love to hear your theories, so feel free to post them in the comments!

LAST TIME ON POWER RANGERS: Ranger Slayer got herself captured by Dark Specter's forces while saving Drakkon's ass. BUT Drakkon makes up for it by saving HER ass from Dark Specter's corruption. BUT, he died in the process. So that means Slayer now has to save everyone's ass. Again. Seriously, this is like the third event where Slayer has to save everyone.
it's Power Rangers Unlimited: The Morphin Masters!
Tumblr media
= so Drakkon and Slayer training together is canon, okay cool, book over, I got what I need
Tumblr media
= But moving on from that these panels specifically make me crazyyyyy because what do you mean Tommy and Kim together means "happy ending"? What do you mean referring to Kim as Tommy's guardian angel? What do you MEAN redrawing Drakkon's death scene as more intimate than it was in 116????????
Tumblr media
= MY STUPID EX-HUSBAND DIED ON ME SO I HAVE TO GO ON THIS STUPID QUEST
Tumblr media
= So something cool about these energy beasts - they're all tied to ranger powers! A yellow bear, a red lion and ape, a gold praying mantis, a white rhino, and an orange scorpion. Sure, the latter wasn't TECHNICALLY a ranger power, just a zord, but there's a point to the "the PR universe did have Kyurangers at some point" theorists
Tumblr media
= I just like this panel because it's silly. she's got the zoomies
Tumblr media Tumblr media
= Slayer continuing to win the idgaf war against literal deities
Tumblr media
= and then they founded an animation studio that gave us the Minions. so unfortunately they gotta go
= but in seriousness, I guess this is how we're going to rationalize how the MMs were portrayed in Beyond the Grid versus how they were portrayed in Power Rangers Universe - the BtG guys were a couple specific higher-power ones. It's fine, I guess. I'm still not a fan of the idea of an entire civilization just calling themselves Morphin Masters, though. Just make.....THESE GUYS the Morphin Masters. Why are they ALL the Morphin Masters??????? Now we have to establish a SUB-SECTION of the Morphin Masters!!!!!!!!!
Tumblr media
= Slayer holding Drakkon and his death in high regard like this.......god. god.
Tumblr media
= oh hi Blue really cool to see you again hope you don't die in the next few pages
Tumblr media
= oh well never mind. Guess we're never going to find out why they came back to life, which was their reason for going into the Grid in the first place, huh
= I do like how we're going back to referring to Blue with they/them pronouns. I guess in hindsight we really were just misgendering them for years. awesome
Tumblr media
= I'm glad we're fully acknowledging all the shit Slayer has gone through but I will admit my immediate reaction to the "it was fire" line was "she would not fucking say that". Maybe as a teen, sure. But NOW?
Tumblr media
Pink: follow me to the orifice
Slayer: .....the ORIFICE?
Tumblr media
= oh hey guys, how have you been since you got retconned into existence and therefore have accomplished nothing in the main series
Tumblr media
= I know this is supposed to be a whole thing of "ohhhh these guys think they're free but they're still being controlled yada yada" but at the same time as someone who hated the Emissary retcon and wishes that we could have gotten more from the characters as they were before........them being angry over losing what they had is very very good and I wish it wasn't done through "evil corruption magic." It was good with corrupted Slayer because they dedicated an entire issue to it and FREED HER at the end, allowing more time and space for development; here it's just a quick fight scene and in the case of Blue, followed up with death. And slight spoilers here, even if they don't die here, the way the Emissaries have been dropping like flies doesn't give me much hope for their survival if they show up in the main series
Tumblr media
= I wonder if this is a reference to how in an early draft for the Ranger Slayer one-shot, the Bow of Darkness was going to be broken in half by Zombie Rita and Slayer would have used it as dual swords. Either way it's fucking cool
= also while the inclusion of Dino Thunder as one of Pink's forms is a simple mistake, it takes me back to those old DT AU fics where Kim became DT Pink. They're canon now guys, no takebacks!
Tumblr media
= So turns out the "Illumination" are just a bunch of senile grandpas. Yeah, that's.............the big revelation for where the Morphin Masters have been. ok
= Now let me just say for this story, the Morphin Masters being useless is a fine decision, for the same reason why the Morphin Masters were useless in Dino/Cosmic Fury - you can't have these overpowered god figures show up and fix everything with a wave of their hand. This applies to every story ever - the god-like figure is captured, or dead, or simply doesn't care enough to interfere. It's a very basic and logical choice for a narrative in order for our actual grounded protagonists to be the heroes.
HOWEVER. It's another instance of Boom hyping up these kinds of storylines as groundbreaking revelations of PR's mythos for years just for the actual reveal to be kind of a letdown. Phantom Ranger's identity. Dark Specter being a major villain. The Squadron Rangers. And now the Morphin Masters' current status. All hyped-up concepts that either get rushed or end up secondary to other concepts, and in the end, don't feel like they matter. It's getting to be a bit tiresome, and I'm saying that as someone who doesn't hold PR lore high on her list of reasons I enjoy the franchise in the first place. And it doesn't help here that, as I've said before, it just feels more like a way to stretch out this event to fill its year-long timeframe. By the end of this book, nothing was accomplished except two more Emissaries are dead (not that they did anything before this) and I guess Green and Black will eventually join the fight, so what was the point of it all. Slayer never really believed the Morphin Masters would help them anyway, so it's not like she changed by the end either - Pink was the only one who really developed as a character, and, well......
Tumblr media
= Pink quick eat an imaginary Snickers you're not you when you're hungry

= this is the third person Slayer has killed in two books. she's so good at her job
= also you may have noticed that we've killed two Emissaries and they're not turning to stone nor having a giant spider boi burst out of their bodies. It's soooooooooooo cool how that entire story arc meant nothing in the long run
Tumblr media Tumblr media
= ugh yes queen swear off religion just like that
= also at this point Drakkon has wielded the power of a Morphin Master and Slayer was offered the position of one. What I'm getting at here is Tomberly are indeed divine figures

I occasionally see takes about how Yuji isn’t interesting as a protagonist because of his lack of power compared to others, and honestly, in my opinion, that’s just… a really shallow reading of his character?
I’m gonna do my best keep this very vague and manga spoiler free for my best friend who hasn’t read the manga but likes Yuji!
Before I go on though, if you do disagree and don’t like or find Yuji interesting as a protagonist or character, please just scroll by. I’m only throwing my own personal thoughts out there. Thank you!
Yuji’s entire character is centred around the concept of death, which in itself is a change from typical shonen, at least the ones I’ve gotten into prior. His goal isn’t exactly to become the strongest and save everyone, as much as it is to become stronger than he is and save people from cruel deaths. He accepts death as a natural process of life, but what he hates are unjust and agonising deaths, or people who die before they even get the chance to live.
He’s a character who actively goes against his moral compass in times where he’s challenged. The main example of this is how he feels towards Mahito, where he could use the word exorcise, he uses the word kill, going against what he originally told Junpei.
“The next words that spilled from my lips came so deep within my guy that it nearly made all the things I’ve ever said feel like a lie. I will kill you!” Still gives me genuine chills from a character who feared the idea of killing becoming a option in his life.
He blames himself for everything that happens, and the worst part is, you can’t deny that. By eating Sukuna’s finger, he subsequently kickstarted everything. His guilt comes from something entirely true. So, even when he’s guilty for something he technically didn’t do, you can’t pull him out of that mindset, because to him, it’s just another byproduct of his biggest mistake.
Yuji’s development also tends to happen gradually and subtly, little shifts in his behaviours and mindsets that you may not pick up on if you aren’t paying enough attention to him. Then, he gets bigger moment for himself. Or he’s just traumatised some more. Usually both! Save him please!
And, you know, even when he’s sidelined per say, it’s clear, at least to me, Gege is cooking something up with him, and we see this happen a few times to my memory. JJK is a story that is told through multiple perspectives, even when it isn’t Yuji, that doesn’t suddenly make him less important. In the end, he’s still heavily linked with the current plot in ways that I imagine will have to be addressed if the story is to conclude properly.
What also makes Yuji interesting to me is the dehumanisation of his character and the question of humanity surrounding him. Humanity of course is a prevalent theme in JJK, and Yuji I think is a perfect example of it. Interestingly enough, he was seen as inhuman long before he joined Jujutsu High School, thanks to his impossible physical strength and speed, and then, when he joins Jujutsu High School, the dehumanisation continues. He doesn’t fit into either world. He’s somewhere between cursed object and human being and even he begins to lean more towards cursed object. The lines blur to him. This impacts his view on himself and what his life is even worth.
Another theme in JJK that Yuji reflects is that concept of saving people. We see it in characters like Gojo too. In Yuji’s case, by saving someone, he doomed everyone, and arguably he hasn’t been able to save anyone properly since. His grandad’s last words haunt him, and he’s interpreted them in a way that probably wasn’t intended. He tries to save others at the expense of himself, a vessel in two ways: for Sukuna (literal), and for others (metaphorical).
He’s just another cog in the machine, and while maybe a powerful, always-in-focus protagonist is more interesting to some, to me, I think Yuji is fine as he is, gaining power steadily and often being more subtle in his growth.
I could say so much more, and I will do in a more manga spoilery analysis. Eventually. Maybe. If I form words again.
Anyways. Look at him. Appreciate him. The biggest freak (affectionate) around. He probably has ADHD.

Partially inspired by @numptypylon's lovely chart but also thoughts have been kicking around my head for a while so
Who's Hurting Who?: The Possession Plotline Avenues
If you want the more straightforward look at Rayla and Callum's paths in S6, check out this (spoiler free) post from a few months ago.
Assumptions We're Making:
Callum won't permanently, if at all, die, because he's a protagonist and this is still technically a children's show. Therefore, we won't be operating under the assumption of "literally dying" and I'm prepared to eat my words later (for a temporary death, anyway). Also arc and theme stuff, but yeah
The possession plot line is happening in S6. This makes sense as stars = destiny and some of the foreshadowing from 6x01 (Callum saying he wouldn't mind death by pillow from Rayla, less morbid than it sounds, etc, and being scared of being possessed)
The possession plot line is being wrapped up / resolved in S6. This means by the end of 6x09, Callum won't be possessed. This leaves him free to have an arc in S7, rather than only being saved/freed by the end of S7 and largely out of commission till then.
Aaravos is freed before the end of 6x09, if not by 6x05. AKA it's just not in the last like three minutes of the season
Callum won't play into Aaravos' hands solely in reference to possession and will have to make A Choice at one point, either pre or post-possession that leads to things happening, because character agency is fun and tragic and there's a decent amount of set up for it
With that out of the way, we gotta break down our own subsections for both Callum and Rayla.
For Callum:
Callum plays into Aaravos' hands and it leads to the possession (we'll call this "choice first, possession second")
Callum is more randomly possessed and plays into Aaravos' hands after being freed (we'll call this "possession first, choice second")
Callum takes a risk (makes a choice) that leads to the possession, is freed, and is then coerced into helping Aaravos anyway (we'll call this "cannot escape your destiny" lmao)
For Rayla, I'm less interested in what she will (or won't) bring herself to do as I am in her mindset going into the situation, and how I think that may cause things to respond accordingly from an arc / story standpoint, so that's going to be the focus here. I am also assuming that while neither of them will kill the other, they will both harm each other (some bruises, maybe some stabbing) because we love the Drama
Rayla refuses to kill him because she refuses to sacrifice something else she loves / him again, even if that means putting the world second (for once). This is Character Development for her and works particularly well for any of his above options. Has the most likely happy ending + works best with "choice first, possession second" as well as "cannot escape your destiny". It is also the likeliest to break him out of the possession in a Positive Way
Rayla refuses to kill him and takes everything on her chin, because it doesn't matter what happens to her / this is a sacrifice she's willing to make in order to save him. This is Classic Rayla Behaviour and is not character development. This works best with "possession first, choice second" (as well as "cannot escape your destiny") and is the likeliest to result in Callum harming Rayla
Rayla does harm him enough to incapacitate him in the moment, possibly because of a freed Runaan urging her to do her duty / make her heart hard enough. This works best with "choice first, possession second" but is, to me, the unlikeliest of the three options, as it doesn't really progress Rayla's arc and removes Callum's agency for everything regarding the possession the most as a result, as it would mean he also isn't breaking free of his own accord
So, best case scenerio:
Callum makes a choice before hand that leads to Aaravos' release (maybe for Rayla's safety or the moon fam coins). This also leads to him being possessed as an extra pawn for Aaravos. Rayla refuses to sacrifice him (1) and sets him free instead. His love for her destroys him first by saving her, and then their love for each other saves him.
Second best case scenario x2:
Callum is randomly possessed and Rayla refuses to sacrifice him (1 or 2). She saves him but is injured in the fight. Callum makes some kind of choice / deal to save her life, playing into Aaravos' hands.
Callum makes a choice to save her. Rayla refuses to sacrifice him (2) and is injured in the fight. Callum makes some kind of choice / deal to save her life, playing into Aaravos' hands. AKA the sole "cannot escape destiny" route & probably the unlikeliest of this 'Callum breaks free' route
The 'Bad Case' scenarios
#3 for Callum in general + #3 for Rayla, leaving to a very dejected and torn up / injured kiddos. Most unclear about where they would go from here as characters / a couple, but not necessarily a bad thing; just unexpected.
And just for posterity's sake:
Callum does play into Aaravos' hands purely by a random possession (thus stripping him of agency, which has its own tragic flair to it and is the Point, even if it is admittedly the least interesting to me) which I think would likely lead to #2 or #3 from Rayla because if they're gonna go tragic, they're gonna go wholly tragic.

Picked up Tears of the Kingdom for my birthday this year and played it over an art sabbatical. After beating it, I have some thoughts about a pair of critters.
Consider this a "spoiler" line for those who haven't beaten the game.
I've been pondering over the Light Dragon and the Tears associated with her transformation. When you take everything given about the transformation at face value, this dragon bursts into being with no sense of self, but presumably still carrying intact though likely scattered memories of when she was still Zelda. Her first act is to shed tears, presumably created through an intense sorrow borne out of thoughts, concerns, and memories that she no longer understands. Her "new" mind is struck with immense emotional pain that now probably just repeats itself over and over as she aimlessly patrols the skies of Hyrule for thousands of years until a man pulls a toothpick out of her forehead. Alternatively, the shedding of tears is symbolic of the final vestiges of Zelda's self as it ebbs away in her new existence, leaving her mind a blank slate unable to recall, process, or attribute anything to anything.
Of course, the game pulls a cop-out and goes "oh, she was just sleeping this whole time!" at the end, which I think is bullshit, but fine, we can't have Zelda scarred for the remainder of her life. We'll just say her memories of flying aimlessly for however long were just yeeted by the mercy of Sophia and Rauru and leave it at that. The implication is probably a reversal via some super powered Recall, but still.
Then comes Ganon, who takes the same road in an effort to cling to power. A new dragon that, just like Zelda, has no self - just a ream of memories and what is probably a deep, directionless, unfathomable anger towards an insignificant entity. How awful must these paired existences be? How aware are they, truly?
A repeated note in the compendium entries for all of the dragons is: "it causes [x deadly phenomena when people are in close range], but it means no harm." I thought about this later and played with the idea that, what if, even taking story circumstances in hand, Ganon's dragon was the same as the rest in this specific regard - creating phenomena out of no actual intent to harm so much as an instinctual self defence mechanism against an unknown "thing" approaching him. Does Ganon still actually recognise Link from all of 30 seconds ago? Or is he just an animal with the same blank slate as Zelda? Whichever the case, despite all the damage he's done, this feels like an especially tragic end for Ganondorf in the sense that, he technically becomes an entirely new entity that has done absolutely nothing except be confronted by a pair of unfamiliar creatures, and is smote in barely a few minutes. Minutes of existence either fraught with confusing memories of anger and violence, or a blank mind with no comprehensive ability, snuffed out due to an inherent danger he poses through, in a way, no "fault" of his own in this new body and mind.
Just a fun thought I had. I've been wondering since I started playing and seeing all of the Memories, if at any point Ganondorf (or Link and Zelda for that matter) has ever actually possessed free will in being the manifestation (?) of the Triforce of Power (or its spirit? My Zelda lore is rusty as hell and super limited).
ETA: also, I really appreciate the addition of a pig's nose on Ganon's dragon form. A+, I love it.

Now that Loki season two has closed the TVA Handbook on Loki’s story, the question remains as to whether Tom Hiddleston has bid adieu to the MCU. It’s hard to imagine a better ending for the former God of Mischief, and since Loki‘s potential series finale aired last week, Hiddleston even referred to the episode as the conclusion” of his 14-year journey with Loki. However, when pressed further on the subject this week, he then created a little bit of wiggle room for himself to return someday.
For Loki executive producer Kevin R. Wright, Hiddleston’s finale performance felt like a goodbye of sorts.
“I think his approach to that performance certainly was [a send-off], and I think we all felt that on set,” Wright tells The Hollywood Reporter.
But similar to his lead actor, Wright is quick to issue his own caveats.
“We wanted this to feel like a proper ending for our show, but that does not mean that there won’t be more Loki or stories within this world,” Wright adds. “We just wanted to give this a proper ending in a way that we often don’t get to do in the MCU.”
Wright, who originated much of the series’ foundational elements through his own pitch years ago, says that he’s still making the case for more TVA stories in the MCU.
“I would love to keep telling TVA stories. Internally, people pitch everything, and I’m actively like, ‘I want to do more TVA!’” Wright shares. “It will just end up being about where it makes sense for them to come in, in the future, but we all look at that corner of the MCU and go, ‘God, we’re just scratching the surface.’”
Below, during a recent spoiler conversation with THR, Wright also addresses a couple Mobius fan theories and how he’s looking forward to developing future TV series in a more traditional fashion.
So, in the end, instead of killing Sylvie to save time itself, Loki makes the ultimate sacrifice for the good of everyone else, and in doing so, he tasks himself with literally holding the fabric of existence together. And to me, that’s both a tragic and triumphant end. Why was this the right note to end the series on?
I’m glad those are the two feelings, because that’s what we were going for. (Laughs.) I don’t know if I can answer that beyond what you just said; it’s just the right ending to the story. We always knew the show was going to end with Loki on a throne, even in season one, and it was never about where he was going. It was always about the feeling we wanted audiences to feel when he got there, and it was about building the story that led to that feeling. Ultimately, because I don’t want to get too into the weeds on the last ten minutes of the show, we all feel like the answers and the intentions are there on screen.
But what I can say, generally, is that we are all really bored by the binary of hero-villain, good guy-bad guy, good choice-bad choice. In the real world, choices are really complicated. Real heroism often goes completely unrewarded. It often involves people who are making really tough decisions and will never benefit from the sacrifices that they’re having to make. And if you can build a superhero comic-book story that dives into the weeds of a more complicated heroism, then that was a challenge that was worth it to us to try. And Loki is the best character to do that with in many ways.
Tumblr media
Technically, did Loki become the God of Stories, or a personified version of Yggdrasil, the Norse Tree of Life?
Are those mutually exclusive? It all comes back to questions of free will. Is he writing stories, or is he allowing stories to continue to be told? Is he weaving them together? It’s an interpretation of what exactly he did there at the end, but I think both can potentially be true.
Of course, anything is possible within the comic book genre, but this finale feels like a send-off for Tom Hiddleston as this character. Do you think we’ve seen the last of Tom’s Loki for at least a long while?
I think his approach to that performance certainly was [a send-off], and I think we all felt that on set. We wanted this to feel like a proper ending for our show, but that does not mean that there won’t be more Loki or stories within this world. We just wanted to give this a proper ending in a way that we often don’t get to do in the MCU. But also, in Marvel comics and the history of comics, the end of a comic run doesn’t mean the end of that character or those stories. And if there’s another story to be told or further stories to be told with what we’re doing here — and it’s with the right filmmakers and the right writers and the right team — then we would love to continue to see Tom. I also said this in season one, but I honestly think Tom will play Loki until he’s Richard E. Grant’s Classic Loki. It’s about the right thing and when we’re doing it, and being really careful about how we build those stories.
The TVA still has some unfinished business, as they have to track Kang variants. So will the TVA appear in the MCU again at some point?
I would love to keep telling TVA stories. Internally, people pitch everything, and I’m actively like, “I want to do more TVA!” It will just end up being about where it makes sense for them to come in, in the future, but we all look at that corner of the MCU and go, “God, we’re just scratching the surface.”

360 sets. You begged and pleaded for them, and they were worth their weight in gold. Kasra Farahani also sounded optimistic that this approach might become more common on other MCU projects. So do you think you’ve successfully made your case to the crested blazers of the Marvel Studios Parliament?
We’ll see. It comes down to the speed at which we make streaming shows, and that’s natural for TV. That’s not a Marvel speed. You’re shooting a lot in small schedules, and it’s benefited by having sets and not having to do a ton of VFX in every shot. It makes good practical sense, and there’s a reason why people did it for a hundred years of moviemaking. It’s about when it makes sense for our stories, certainly, but we’re also telling comic book stories, and sometimes, things have to be more fantastical than what you can build. So it’s about being smart and how you do it. I love it, and I know our team loves it. When we were shooting Loki, we had a number of filmmakers who visited set, and their reactions were like, “They let you build all this?” And it’s like, “Yeah! Wait, you’re not? You should be doing this, too.” (Laughs.)  So, long answer short, yeah, I think people have seen what we did and they see that it’s an option now, and will hopefully embrace it.
Fan theories can be both a blessing and a curse, as your friends on WandaVision know, but have you lost any sleep over not making the McDonald’s kid a young Mobius (Owen Wilson)?
No, but I love that theory. I also saw that maybe Mobius is an Odin variant, and that was really imaginative and cool, too. So it was never discussed and I never lost sleep over it, although I read all that stuff and I love it. Partially why Loki feels more densely layered than some other projects is we know that people are looking at it in that way and are digging into everything. So everybody on the team really embraces that and goes, “If it’s in frame, it has to hold up the scrutiny.” We’re either subliminally hiding things in there, or we’re putting things in there to misdirect so that we can better impact people with something more surprising. But I love that people engage with it that way, and I hope that they see that we are engaging back with them in how we build the show.
And what about a medium shot of Loki and Mobius on the tandem bicycle? Do you regret that you won’t see that meme for the rest of your life?
No, because I can go online and I can see it in all of the amazing fan art. It’s out there. We knew you just had to handle that with a very light touch, and the audience will fill in the blanks. And they beautifully have.
Marvel made a bunch of release date moves recently, and we’re not going to see much of you in 2024. Are you a bit relieved since Marvel Studios’ own temporal loom won’t be overloaded?
What’s exciting to me — and this is something [head of streaming at Marvel] Brad Winderbaum has talked about — is what I personally will get to be making next. We’ll really be able to have the time to slowly build it, find the right team for it, find the right people to develop it, build a pilot and build things on a more traditional schedule. It’s a little bit like the sets. It’s good, it’s practical, it’s smart, and when things are done right with the right team, these projects can be really, really good. And I think Loki is really, really good. So, if we give the development and production cycle the right amount of attention and build a calendar in a way that allows us to really do this correctly, you will get to see more projects that are of this caliber. It’s just about giving the creatives the space and the resources to do things properly. So, ultimately, this is a really good thing. I know people want more, but I also know that if we take time with it, they will appreciate what they get.
Well, the ultimate compliment I can pay all of you is that I didn’t care much for Loki prior to this series, and not because he was a bad guy or anything like that. This show fulfilled the original promise of these Marvel Disney+ series by deepening this character in a way that the movies don’t have time for, and I have nothing but fondness for Loki now. So Loki should be the case study for how valuable Disney+ can be for Marvel.
One, thank you. Two, I agree. I know that our writers, Justin [Benson], Aaron [Moorhead], Kate [Herron] and everybody would also agree, and that was the most appealing part of this. You can slowly take your time and build a really fulfilling story. We have very little action this season. (Laughs.) There’s a lot of thrills and there’s a lot of big stuff, but it was about really taking our time to build a character story that can feel truly fulfilling. So I look forward to being able to do more stories this way.

hi! got any theories/thoughts on who wrote the "darling girl" letter in dr sex?
For the sake of the readers at home (because it never occurred to me until very recently that Dr. Sex is the only short story that doesn’t appear in ANY print version of the series—and that it is the short story that folks are the LEAST likely to have read), the text of the ‘Darling Girl’ letter appears at the bottom of The Mysterious Study of Dr. Sex on the Tor.com website. Recommended reading order is between Gideon the Ninth and Harrow the Ninth, but if you’re just learning about it now, it’s NOT too late! Go and get your delicious Sixth House lore! If you’re following along at home, I do suggest you go and read it first. It’s short! It’s free!! It’s critical worldbuilding!!! There’s Dulcie in it!!!! With that said, the letter itself contains ZERO spoilers because… it’s an excerpt, and it’s enigmatic as hell. The letter says:
“Darling girl, Tomorrow you will become a Lyctor and finally go where I can’t follow. I want you to keep this letter when you are far away and think of me and want me and can’t have me, and know that no matter how far you travel, nor how long the years feel, the one thing that never stays entombed is”
Long response is long, so for the sake of your feed and mine...
I DESPERATELY wish to know both the writer and recipient of this note, but if you knew how often I spun absurd theories, went back and forth, changed my mind, and gave up in a fit of tears and strife, I would lose all esteem in your eyes… and I have so little to begin with 😉 So, what I thought might be fun is to approach this like KID DETECTIVES (a la Cam and Pal, age 13) and lay out the clues, starting with objective facts from the text. Then we can speculate together! So, here’s what we know about the note as a physical object (and its context when we encounter it):
➔ It was found in the [mysterious] Study of Dr. Donald Sex on the Sixth House.
➔ Dr. Sex was an expert on post-Resurrection psychometry. Given that the upward bounds for scrying seems to be 10,000 years (per Palamedes in GtN), ALL psychometry is technically post-Resurrection psychometry… therefore, it’s more likely this specialty refers to a specific historical period. In the short story, one of the members of the collections team describes his work: “Wasn’t [Dr Sex’s] crackpot theory that there was greater thalergy and thanergy saturation right after the Resurrection?” NOTABLY, we hear the term post-Resurrection used one other time in the series, from Abigail Pent, in reference to her own historical research. Her interest, in particular, are lyctors in the pre-sovereignty, pre-cohort period… ergo, before they were actually lyctors, though she’d likely have no way of knowing that.
Therefore, we can assume post-Resurrection psychometry refers to the period immediately post-Resurrection? Whatever the case, The Emperor was aware of—and seemingly endorsed—Sex’s work. ➔ At the time of the unsealing, Dr. Sex had been dead for “more than a couple decades,” or seemingly about three full generations (and the study had been sealed since then).
➔ Specifically, the note was retrieved from the inside of a sphere-shaped wooden puzzle box found on Dr. Sex’s desk, where he placed it himself as a revenant. Remember that wood is not a common material in the Houses, as even paper is oil-derived. Thus, the puzzle itself is either an extreme luxury good or of the First House (and therefore potentially over 10k years old).
➔ Likewise, the note is written on “real, delicate paper” (per Juno Zeta). Since The Houses use flimsy and the only paper we’ve seen was correspondence from The Emperor (The First House), this signifies either its potential origin AND/OR its age (potentially 10k+)... likely both!
➔ As far as the text itself, we only have what Palamedes was able to see before they took the paper away, but if we trust that his memory is truly photographic, we can accept it as an accurate record. Per Camilla, however, there was a lot more text on the page - but only one page of text total.
Now, let’s take a look at the WRITTEN CONTENTS of the note:
➔ It is addressed to ‘darling girl,’ which does imply a feminine recipient. The tone is incredibly earnest, so it doesn’t feel like it would be sarcasm, an inside joke, etc.
➔ Line one: “Tomorrow you will become a Lyctor and finally go where I can’t follow,” implies that the recipient is a necromancer familiar with the definition of the word ‘lyctor’ as we understand it - presumably achieved via the sacrifice of one’s cavalier and The Eightfold Word.
➔ ‘Tomorrow’ implies that ascension was planned in advance and that the writer knew about it.
➔ ‘Finally go where I can’t follow’ implies a relationship or partnership. ‘Follow’ does evoke cavalierhood, as we know that cavaliers ‘follow’ necromancers, one half-step behind, but that is conjecture.
➔ Line two: “I want you to keep this letter when you are far away and think of me and want me and can’t have me, and know that no matter how far you travel, nor how long the years feel, the one thing that never stays entombed is” SEEMS to imply that the letter was given to the necromancer… but we don’t know that for certain. It’s possible the letter was never delivered or fell into someone else’s custody later.
➔ “Think of me and want me and can’t have me” also implies a relationship, and it does sound sexual… but even ‘one flesh, one end’ sounds pretty sexual, so I am willing to accept it as innocent. All it really implies is a relationship in which the recipient relies on the writer for something.
➔ “And know that no matter how far you travel, nor how long the years feel” implies an understanding of the basic realities of lyctorhood - the ability to sustain life without John and immortality in general.
➔ “The one thing that never stays entombed is” is a WEIRD ending to this very long, rambling sentence. ‘Entombed’ seems to be referencing something, but this is only the second line of the letter, and there is no other reference to anything else being entombed. That might mean that the term ‘entombed’ has some special meaning to the recipient. ‘Tombs’ also have pretty significant meaning in this series in general, given it’s called, uh, The Locked Tomb. (Though Abigail’s ‘God, I love tombs’ in HtN does imply more than one, and Cytherea implies that there is a historical precedent for sealing the deceased necromancers of the Seventh in tombs, pre-Miracle at Rhodes… so maybe tombs were just more common when this was written).
I feel, at this point, it’s safe to assume that the letter was likely written (and intended for) someone who spent time as a Canaan House Disciple. Operating under that assumption, we can make a few other predictions/observations:
➔ If the ascension was planned and involved a female necromancer, it is not written to Mercymorn or from Cristabel.
➔ That means the only ‘darling girl’ candidates would have been the remaining female necromancers: Cassiopeia, Cytherea, or Anastasia
➔ We know for a FACT that Anastasia planned her ascension down to the location and guest list, which makes her a very strong candidate.
➔ We know that Cassiopeia was a bit scattered and chaotic but always had a system. She may have planned her ascension, but we know nothing about the circumstances. We also know, however, that Cassy founded the Sixth House, where the note was discovered. Whether this is because it was found there or it simply came into the possession of a pre-Resurrection era psychometrist via object requisition is unclear.
➔ We also know that Anastasia and Cassiopeia worked closely together on projects including 500-into-50, Teacher, and… the eightfold theorem.
➔ We know that Cytherea became a lyctor because she would have died otherwise. We don’t have specific details. We only know her cavalier went willingly to save her life. While it was a mutual decision, it’s unclear if it was planned in advance or if it was more of a “now or never” scenario. HOWEVER, I also want to look at a little bit of bias that might be in play:
Palamedes Sextus, at thirteen years old (and in the following years), maintained that it was a ♥ love letter ♥. If so, the only lyctoral pair confirmed romantic in the series so far is Cassy and Nigella, which would make sense, given that the puzzle was located on the Sixth. We do not, however, know if they were still married and/or re-married post-resurrection. We only know that they were necro and cav.
On a literal reading, I see how the Warden got there. However…he’s our romantic little Palamedes, and he wants everything to be about love! But too much love makes the Boy President go blind! He was supping with a lyctor and didn’t notice it because he thought she was his ex-girlfriend! Love letters are, canonically, the only thing that makes our beloved genius stupid. Was he REALLY looking closely? Ergo, I’d like to posit, just to provide a broader range of possibilities, that the note may not be a love letter. Here are my non-love letter theories: ♥ A letter from a friend to a friend? Though we don’t have a timeline, I usually put the order of ascension as Augustine ➝ Mercymorn ➝ Anastasia ➝ Gideon ➝ Cassy. If this is the case, the letter could have been written by Cassy to Anastasia before her planned ascension. They were friends, and though “darling girl” feels romantic, it could also be affectionate, especially since they were friends for a VERY long time (though, frankly, I am fond of the Cassy/Anastasia agenda… but maybe that’s just me xD).
Perhaps it wasn’t just a note, however. Could it have been some kind of cipher with a secret meaning, especially given how strange and out of place the word ‘entombed’ sounds? It seems like it would be par for the course coming from a Sixth House founder who hid her note in a puzzle box - a puzzle within a puzzle. After all, we do know Cassiopeia as “careful” and “sensible.” Was the puzzle box a failsafe? ♥ The reverse? We know Anastasia survived her ascension. She would have been around to write a letter when Cassy finally made the decision to ascend. Cassy also seems like someone who might have scheduled her big day in advance. At that point, they might have either been: 1. Operating under the assumption that there was no other route to lyctorhood and assuming it would go as planned (per Pyrrha and Gideon’s recent ascension), or 2. Operating with a sense of healthy intellectual skepticism and a plan… remember, Cassy plays long games, and we don’t yet know the extent of what she accomplished. Either way, I think Anastasia would have been justified in writing a letter to say goodbye, especially if she was already away on the Ninth… working on, uh, building a tomb. TOMB - ENTOMBED. GET IT? Furthermore, it tracks that she might have declined the invitation to watch the attempt in person, given that her own attempt was so traumatic. I can’t help thinking about John’s comment about how long it took to clean up afterward.
So. Letter.  ♥ A letter from a parent to their child? Anastasia canonically has at least one child, and we do not know who they are - or who Samael was to her. He’s probably not her darling girl, but that doesn’t rule him out as her babydaddy, or one of multiple children… she could, theoretically, have had a daughter! The recipient could have been the blood descendent of Harrowhark Nonagesimus! The first Nona of her line! ♥ A Tragic Goodbye Letter? I once read a fanfic THAT I CURRENTLY CANNOT FIND (please, if you know which fic I’m talking about, let me know so I can link it - I will also ask around, and whoever comes up with it first gets the cookie) has someone asking Camilla what she thought the letter was. She says, “A suicide note.” I think less intense people might describe it as a “goodbye letter.” Given Cam’s whole thing (codependence, sacrifice, Paul), it makes sense coming from her. I think she could be right… but only if it’s written by the sender’s very devoted cavalier, which is not definite. This is the only possibility in which I think the sender could be Loveday and the recipient Cytherea… but if so, why the puzzle box? It doesn’t seem their style.
Questions I Still Have...
I still find myself getting stuck on the line “Finally go where I can’t follow,” which… might make sense if it’s a cavalier writing to their own necromancer before sacrificing themselves for lyctorhood… but the cavalier DOES sort of follow and go with them, in a manner of speaking, and it kind of seems like a Canaan House disciple would KNOW that. Something about it just feels OFF… which is probably why I like the cipher theory so much (granted, I ALWAYS like a cipher theory).
Also, could it be someone BEYOND the disciples who knew about lyctorhood through their relationship to the recipient? Is this actually a clue that there’s a secret character we haven’t met yet? I would not rule it out!
Final Thoughts!
While I would love for the ‘darling girl’ letter to be the linchpin necessary to solve the whole plot… it feels unlikely. It’s featured an unpublished short story that even many big Locked Tomb fans haven’t read! I think we might be able to anticipate a nod to the note in Alecto the Ninth. While even a small reference will be very exciting for me and my fellow Kid Detectives, I don’t think it CAN hold as much narrative weight as I secretly want it to hold, just by virtue of being obscure.
All that said… thanks for the ask, anon! I’m glad you somehow knew this would be right up my alley! Let me know if laying out the facts helped you formulate a theory I haven’t thought of! GROUP PROJECT FTW!

Thoughts on Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 230 (spoilers)
Tumblr media
This chapter was harder to understand than previous ones and that was probably because the translation I read was a little shoddy. I might have to make a follow up post on Sunday when the official translation comes out.
But from what I did understand is that Sukuna, that prick, is using Megumi's soul as a punching bag in this fight to let Mahoraga adapt to techniques without him taking damage. In this case it was the sure-hit of Unlimited Void. This probably only works on UV as well.
Theory: to be still able to finish the summon of Mahoraga after getting hit by UV, Sukuna disengaged his brain from Megumi's. Normally this would pose the risk of MegumI gaining back control of his body but not in this specific circumstance because the disengagement meant that Megumi's mind would be hit by UV, meaning even if he had been able to take back control in that moment, Gojo's own attack made him unable to do that.
Sukuna is really a royal bastard who leaves no room open for attack and Gojo was understandably distraught at realising that he hurt Megumi directly.
Tumblr media
On Megumi: first, he has his shoes back. Second, he's still at the bottom of the abyss of evil in the same position as last month after Tsumiki's death. His eyes are also looking quite dead BUT despite all of that Gege still made sure to draw the reflection of light on him. Megumi is not in total darkness and at some point in the future we'll see what that means.
There is also Gojo's 6-Eyes look at Sukuna with Mahoraga in the background. We see two white circles in front of him, one higher than the other. These are CE centres most likely, drawn to represent the soul. They're two because there are two different CE signatures, Sukuna's and Megumi's. The higher circle, Sukuna's, has a piece of the lower circle attached to it.
We can interpret this in different ways. Literally, as in Megumi's CE and cursed technique being used by Sukuna right now with Mahoraga standing directly behind Suku. Or figuratively, with Megumi's soul being shattered.
Tumblr media
Yuta had compared a burnt-out technique with an overheated engine. The engine was technically fine, there was nothing to repair because nothing was broken, it was just too hot to be used in the next few minutes. So what did Gojo do? He broke the hot engine and repaired it afterwards. Then et voila, a freshly made brain engine ready to use!
Tumblr media
Sukuna's Domain breaking soothed my soul after the taunt he levelled at Gojo and did Megumi so dirty. But I did hope that Megumi had an active role breaking it. In the future, hopefully.
Tumblr media
This is an awesome panel and even Sukuna's side eyes are bleeding. My problem here is again that I'm confused about the step by step happenings of the fight that led up to this. I might've avoided this problem if my Japanese wasn't as shitty as it is but instead of improving it during my limited free time, I rather write fanfic about Toji getting fucked in the ass by Benimaru Shinmon from Fire Force.
Tumblr media
Teacher Gojo finally gets to shine after being dissed left and right the last few chapters. The Tokyo students are watching and we'll definitely see the things these behemoths are doing in this fight used by the good guys in the future. I won't be hearing about any asspulls when that happens!
Sukuna's grin is also extremely menacing.
Tumblr media
We get the next round starting with another fist fight and Yorozu's words are back in Sukuna's head. Why? What do those words mean to Sukuna? Why is he thinking about them again? There are multiple interpretations and theories we can go with.
E.g. love for Sukuna could mean the love of fighting and the love to strive towards greatness. This is in contrast to Gojo who we only ever heard talk about romantic love (I'm not a stsg shipper but I am a stsg truther).
The loneliness is about being so strong that no one else can stand beside you. Why this phrase reappears here again might be because Sukuna is standing right now in front of someone who is on his level and Sukuna very much knows that without pulling every ability and trick up his sleeve he won't win.
Still, Sukuna didn't show much emotion in this fight even now, he straight up showed more personality in his fight against Yorozu than here
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My theory is that Sukuna, unlike Gojo, started his life at the bottom of the food chain as a hungry child at the edge of starvation who resorted to cannibalism to survive. Sukuna showed a great disdain for lowlife who didn't stay in their lane and I think that's a projection of his own life and his achievements that no one else is ever going to accomplish.
Sukuna always seemed like he didn't see much in Gojo most likely because he saw him as nothing but an upstart who won the ability lottery and nothing more but that might be changing with these last few panels. Gojo fights with more intelligence and skill than just with his abilities alone.

Shit shit shit shit shit I had a thought regarding Bendy and the Dark Revival. It's kind of a stretch and I'm sure someone else has probably already thought of this, but just in case know there are major major spoilers ahead, especially pertaining to chapter 4, its character reveals, and the ending of the game.
I apologize in advanced if this seems a little disconnected.
OK, so I'm sitting here watching SuperHorrorBro play BatDR when he gets to the part where Audrey runs into Henry. He mentioned that playing the End reel would start the cycle over again, as we all know it does, but I felt his wording is peculiar:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Everything begins again. Completely new."
Obviously we know from checking out Joey's house at the end of BatIM that Joey had drafted up several scenarios we don't necessarily ever actually see. It's possible that these scenarios are each seperate events within different loops, meaning we get such beautiful things as the Butcher Gang having fun at Bendyland and even Sammy and Bendy going fishing, most likely on the docks of the Lost Harbor. However, we don't actually get these different scenarios, either because of the limitations of the game or because Joey hasn't been able to fully implement it into the world of the Ink Machine.
Why is this important, well, there's a specific part of these drafts that fans have long speculated about, mostly in regards to whether or not it's an alternate ending that can be triggered.
Tumblr media
This is one of the most interesting pieces from the draft, because it presents a scenario where Bendy is able to break free of the cycle ending, or at least ends it for Henry or manages to keep the cycle they're in from ending. It also makes sense if we consider what was said earlier about Joey's drafts being different loops too. I think this was something a lot of us wanted, but we haven't gotten it. At least, we didn't until Bendy and the Dark Revival.
I've seen full walkthroughs of the game. I know how the game ends, and as a result, it's very interesting to me that this is the one of those scenarios that makes a return.
The loop Audrey is caught in is certainly different, and that can be attributed to Wilson's interference to the world of the Ink Machine, but it does still run concurrent to Henry's story. For example, Wilson's Keepers are able to capture both Henry and Sammy during their chapter 5 altercation in the Lost Harbor, which is how we end up meeting Henry in BatDR to begin with.
Something I want to point out about Audrey real quick, if you're into spoilers or at least have knowledge of what happens in the game: she's a creation of Joey's through the Ink Machine, half flesh and half ink. When the ending comes and the final boss is defeated, the Ink Demon takes her and together they form a creature who looks very similar to Beast Bendy, but especially to the form we see in Joey's drafts:
Tumblr media
My thought process here is that... in the end, we did get a "Bendy wins" scenario, just not quite in the way we expected back in 2018. It's been right under our noses since chapter 5 came out.
Audrey takes the reel, holds it in the monstrous hand of her and Bendy's combined ink form, and plays it on a projector.
Tumblr media
Technically speaking, Bendy, though combined with Audrey, does indeed win.
They win against Wilson, and against the darker aspects of Bendy himself, who, if the last thing we see before the credits roll is any indication, may now be able to lead as normal a life as an ink creation can.
The cycle will start again, as it always does, and completely anew as Henry had said. This time, however, perhaps Bendy winning isn't the bad ending we thought it was four years ago.
(IDK man, perhaps I'm reading too far into it.)
tl;dr we probably got the Bendy wins scenario but not how we expected or wanted and it probably was never a bad ending to begin with

How is the trove connected to elain? I read that the cauldron, truth-teller and the trove prove elain is the important part? What? The trove obeys nesta and not elain ? Why has everything to do with elain😂 she isn’t that important in acotar.
Besides i don’t even think elucien will defeat koschei, they maybe help but sjm will never let anyone be more important than rhys, not even in their own books. We have seen it with acosf, even their the plot was about feysand and their baby.
Will Contain HOFAS Spoilers below the Keep Reading
The Trove can be connected to Elain if SJM wants to connect her to the Trove.
"Like calls to like," Rhys said. "Others could not free themselves because the Mask did not recognize their power. The Mask rode them, not the other way around. Only one Made from the same dark source can wear the Mask and not be ruled by it."
"So Queen Briallyn could use it," Azriel said.
The reason Nesta can wield the Trove is because she was Made. As Elain is Made too, she could technically also wield the Trove.
Though since it's now keyed to Nesta's blood it seems Nesta has to be the one to allow others to use it (as we see in HOFAS).
But I'm not sure I really see any reason why SJM would repeat the Trove storyline in an Elain book. At some point, using the items again and again and again makes it feel overused.
Though I disagree that Elain isn't important, I just think where she shines is different therefore measuring her worth against a warrior and how she compares to that is going to leave her falling short every time as that doesn't seem to be her path.
I think one of the main focuses of Elain's book will be her searching for the box Koschei prizes above all else. If they find that box and it contains his soul, then destroying the box may either weaken or destroy Koschei and then it's possible Elain and Lucien could defeat Koschei on their own (with Vassa, Jurian, Eris, maybe even Helion). The Bone Carver and Weaver's deaths were anti-climatic and Koschei is their sibling. He is a death god as Lanthy's was a death god and Lanthy's death was anticlimatic. Yes, Rhys is powerful but he didn't do much in the action of SF.
It just depends on how much of an obstacle SJM plans on making him. Is he on the same level as Lanthy's? As the Weaver? Is he a minor thing to overcome? Or is he going to turn into the catalyst for another major battle like we saw with the King of Hybern or the Valg in TOG? Usually a single bad guy isn't difficult to for two people to defeat (unless their characters lose their powers as was the case with Amarantha) but when they have the backing of an army that's when everyone gets involved.
Our predictions can only go so far when we don't know if SJM plans on tying Koschei into the time travel stuff or if he's now not that big of a deal and she plans on introducing a bigger threat in the next book which will carry over into however many books she now has planned for the series.

AMA (Down to Agincourt addition) I am once again bored, so here are some more (aka many) questions. As that anon from last year who asked for the elevator pitch, I am so glad I did and gave DtA another shot!!! When did you first start reading it?
When did you first realize how hooked you where with DtA? Was it from moment one? Was there a spesific scene?
Fav of the original side characters?
Fav the original main characters?
Coolest concept that DtA introduced into the SPN world?
If there could be a in-depth prequel written for any of the characters, who's past would you be the most interested in exploring?
If you had to, what would you ranking be of the books?
How many times have you read it all the way through?
What bit of foreshadowing (if any) did you miss the first time around that really jumped out at you on a reread?
Did reading DtA help inspire your own The End fic?
What of the many burning questions currently unanswered do you want answered first?
What's the most interesting non-SPN related fact that DtA taught you?
If normal SPN team free will read/watch/found out about the DtA what do you think their reactions would be?
What's a scene/interaction that still scratches the brain itch?
Have you read The Forever King spin-off series? If so, what are your thoughts?
Yes!! Muahahahaha. Changing the order a bit.
Coolest concept that DtA introduced into the SPN world?
The Winchester House, everything about it, and its entire relationship to Nate.
The complex rules and magical constraints/potential of metaphysical contamination.
Honorable mention: Lucifer’s plans with the Gods.
But also actually: The Winchester House.
What bit of foreshadowing (if any) did you miss the first time around that really jumped out at you on a reread?
(spoilers)
The set up for the church paradox.
Cas, post fall, fever dream, almost dying locked in that cabin bedroom, the unnamed goddess calling him in spirit yet somehow physically into that Church.
Dean, post infection, fever dream, almost dying locked in that cabin bedroom, Cas accidentally calling him in spirit yet somehow physically into that Church.
All of time and space converging. Dean is the impossible, he was never supposed to be in this universe, Cas accidentally binding them together with those sigils, allowing Cas to connect with Dean in the first place, and also making Dean invisible to Lucifer while he’s physically in that cabin, which he technically is, thus allowing him to shield Lia and thus her able to get him into that church where he and Cas manage to do something and erase the kids' (and both of their) minds.
There is so much meat there, and every time you re-read there is more. There is so much cool foreshadowing with ALL the players involved, and I literally put together another thread in that during EVERY read-through.
Someone once asked me my thoughts on what we know happened in the church and it got to 19 pages in google before I had to cut it off pending another re-read of book 4.
Fav of the original side characters?
I can not separate Nate and the Winchester House, so--
Fav the original main characters?
Vera by a slim margin over Joe.
When did you first start reading it?
It’s hard to remember just because the last three years are a fuzzy mess, but I’m pretty sure I started reading it late 2021/early 2022. I am a fast reader so I demolished it VERY fast.
When did you first realize how hooked you where with DtA? Was it from moment one? Was there a specific scene?
After Cas and Dean started properly working together in book 1 I was pretty on board, but once they told Chuck and started their trips into Kansas City, that was when it really settled in and I knew I was about to read the entire thing.
If there could be a in-depth prequel written for any of the characters, who's past would you be the most interested in exploring?
Joe or Teresa. Honestly though I’d really like to see the case Dean worked down by the border.
If you had to, what would you ranking be of the books?
This is a slim AF margin too, because they’re all so good. But I think it’d be 3,1,4,2 So “A Thousand Lights in Space” “Map of the World” “Game of God” “It’s the Stars That Lie” But it's real neck and neck for the last three.
How many times have you read it all the way through?
Books one and two I have read cover to cover 6 or 7 times, three I probably read a couple more. Book four I’ve actually only read completely cover to cover once, but I have read a lot of it out of order a couple more times. I’m trying to get my fics to a bit more of a stable point so I can re-read it again in case I go off the rails hyper-fixation on it again. I’ll probably read it twice in a row when I read it this next time.
Did reading DtA help inspire your own The End fic?
No, it hindered it greatly. The world building in DtA is very contrary to the plot I have for my endverse fic, and it took a while for my brain to reset and be like “Nope, this is what I’m doing, put that out of your mind.” If I hadn’t read DtA, you’d already have my Endverse fic, because I started writing it before reading that, and had to stop work for straight up like a year.
What of the many burning questions currently unanswered do you want answered first?
WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENED INSIDE THE DAMN CHURCH!?!?!?
What's the most interesting non-SPN related fact that DtA taught you?
Graphene and everything about it.
If normal SPN team free will read/watch/found out about the DtA what do you think their reactions would be?
I think none of them would have any idea what to do with it. Cas would therefore not have much outward expression, Sam would be incredibly awkward and only a little insulted he isn’t in it, and Dean would be 10/10 defensive AF.
What's a scene/interaction that still scratches the brain itch?
The Winchester Hou- Cas accidentally calling Dean when he’s using Allison as a conduit for the kids in Ichabod, and subsequently their interactions after Cas figures out what happened.
Close seconds are Cas and Dean’s interaction after Dean gets bit in the courtyard, Cas searching Kansas City with his mind after Dean touched The Ick™.
And yes actually the retelling of Nate’s interactions with The Winchester House.
Have you read The Forever King spin-off series? If so, what are your thoughts?
I have not read it yet, I must at some point. I know I’ll like it.
-
Also I'm glad my pitch worked and you ended up giving it another go!!

I've been dubbed! To honor this momentous occasion I, Boredom Anon, will let you in on a little something: I am in fact going to go through with writing the memory loss au, rest assured. Sorry I left you with only that small piece to chew on, but I needed a trusted source to give me an opinion on the idea before I got too in over my head.
To answer a few of your questions in your response:
His body is still there, yep, and I plan on this being one of the plot points because technically Spider is still in his body---the avatar up and walking is just a glitchy memory-holder which I thought would lead to an interesting question: where is the line between oneself? Is he even still Spider, in this case? This is something that Neteyam especially will be conflicted by.
The exact details of how he got hurt are something I've been playing with. For now I think having him take the bullet for Neteyam might be fun to play with, but who's to say. I'm willing to hear any suggestions you may have on the matter!
The Sullies are in Awa'atlu when Spider is first on the mend and getting used to his avatar body. The scene I gave you was when they're finally in the clear to come and see him at High Camp.
I didn't add in all of their reactions because I didn't want to get carried away, but you are very close to how I imagined I'd write Jake and Tuk's reactions lol. I plan on putting the elements you mentioned with Neytiri in there for sure though and you're correct Spider is going entirely off of what feels right so that'll be fun.
Another thing to note: one of the main points I have written down right now is that this avatar body is so fresh that everything is new and feels almost overwhelming in some cases. Pair that with his limited memory and you get some potent muscle-memory/instinct type shit going on, almost like how a newborn creature is just going off of what it feels. For example, the first thing he thinks when he wakes up in his avatar body is Neteyam, and this is quickly followed by a deep longing and it just starts to plague him because he doesn't know what it means but he knows he needs this "Neteyam" whoever he is (and he knows Neteyam is a person, he can feel it. It comes to him in broken images: a blurry face, a melodic laugh, "I see you, Spider.") Am I explaining this well? I feel like I'm making about zero sense lol but whatever you'll get what I mean eventually if you don't now.
Anyways, while I'm working on developing this fic I'll be sure to hop on the asks every now and then with updates if you'd like and when I publish it I'll of course send you the link if you want 👍. Your positive reaction has done wonders and since you aided in my final decision to write it I feel it's only fair.
BOREDOM ANON THIS IS THE MSOT EXCITING NEWS. WHEN I GOT THIS ASK I FREAKED, AND I ALMOST BUMPED IT TO THE TOP OF THE PILE. Instead I just went through the others a little quick and used it as incentive lol. I am thrilled to be a trusted source, I'd love to do whatever I can, feel free to dm me of course, or send me all the asks if you want to stay anonymous of course.
-Wow, that is very dark. There's a great opportunity for an examination of what makes one truly themselves. I think the Na'vi would be more understanding at first than the scientists, due in part to all energy being borrowed in their philosophy. They can visit the dead in memories when they are with Eywa, and that's almost like what Spider is. It just is a question as to if that makes him dead or not, kind of. I also wonder, does that mean they expect him to wake up, or will they try to transfer him into his Avatar body permanently once they think he's strong enough? Probably not questions for you to answer, spoilers lol.
-Hmm, well, the bullet is always good, because I've been saying (I don't remember if it was in dms or a public post) that I've yet to see a fic where Spider takes the bullet and I get to the see the direct fallout from that. I think the effect it would have on his and Neytiri's relationship would be fairly immediate. It would also drastically change the ship standoff, and I'm curious as to people's takes on that. He could also always just pass out from blood loss and then when Norm and Max arrive they notice the brain damage from the machine, and that is what makes them put him in a coma, because he isn't stable.
-Ooh, very interesting. I'm sHOCKED the Sully kids let that fucker out of their sight for a second. Kiri and Lo'ak attempt to sneak out with Payakan to go back to High Camp literally every night, Jake has to sleep basically on top them. He'd never suspect that NETEYAM is also a flight risk, the biggest of them all.
-Haha, no, I understand! Well, even if he can't remember much of before, he's never felt his mating bond before in a Na'vi body. The feelings are stronger and different, and he doesn't have the past knowledge to try to repress or ignore them. He just knows what he wants and what he needs.
OBVIOUSLY we'd love updates, but no pressure of course, and of course I want the link!! I am so so glad I helped with the decision, so many of you lately have said I helped inspire you to write and I cannot express how happy that makes me! Fanfiction is a fantastic creative outlet and a great tool and gateway into bigger literary work, so never feel nervous!
