It was an especially unremarkable funeral all around. Private, unsurprisingly, with little said as they went through the motions. It wasn’t even gray out. Sunny, but not too warm. Lukewarm weather—perfect for the occasion, some would say.
After all, that Alice even got a fraction of the usual ceremony was generous. Truth be told, she wouldn’t be surprised if her parents were glad that he was gone. Less shame on the family. One less murderer in the world.
She lets him get buried with her bongos, and that’s the extent of good will she can muster. To show more than that will just make the matter a hassle, and haven’t they all been through enough?
“Well,” Reko mutters to her brother’s grave, fingers tracing the engravement of his name. “Can’t say I’m exactly relieved things turned out like this.”
Her parents had long left. They offered to take her out to dinner, of course, but she lied and said she already ate. She didn’t plan on telling them she’d like to stay with Alice a bit longer. She’s not exactly looking to get pity or sympathy—especially from them.
Should I at least tell the old band members? She wondered, arms crossed over her chest, lips pursed. She felt uncomfortable in her funeral dress. She felt uncomfortable with her hair neatly combed down instead of styled. She felt uncomfortable with an unpainted face.
Her brother was gone and she had to wish him off in a form completely alien. He wouldn’t have recognized her. She barely recognized herself.
“Dammit, Alice.”
She wanted to kick at the grave. Something about it pissed her off. Maybe she should’ve brought incense to burn. Maybe that would’ve calmed her down. As if those traditions were for the sake of the living.
Aren’t they, though? It’s not like the dead can appreciate them.
Besides, Alice hated both flowers and incense. Because he was both allergic and sensitive. So lame.
“So lame,” she whispered, brushing her hair back. “Dying is a burden only the living can carry, y’know. Just what the hell were you thinking? Taking someone’s life only to lose your own...” She had to swallow down a hard lump and her eyes burn. “Didn’t you consider us at all? You fucking asshole.”
She had half a mind to kick his stupid grave. He wouldn’t even get mad at her for it. Alice knew how much he pissed them all off with his crimes and he still, and he still—
“You wanted to reconcile, didn’t you? You wanted to be forgiven, right?” Her breath hitched. “How the fuck can that happen now that you’re gone?!”
Rather than lashing out, Reko finally fell down to her knees, trembling in the crisp spring air. The season of rebirth and her murdering asshole brother was dead. How the hell was that for irony? She had half a mind to scream about it.
“Urgh...”
Tears were blurring her vision now and it really was so, so goddamn lame. Like all Alice had really been good for was breaking her heart. As if there hadn’t been any good memories when the two were kids...when the two played together. She had already mourned that brother years ago. Her parents had been understanding then, and she wonders if anyone would understand now. There’s one less murderer in the world—that’s a good thing, isn’t it?
And yet, it fucking hurts. Because it had to be Alice.
Because it was Alice, because she had been hurt by him enough already, Reko just let herself cry it out again. All the same tears of anguish and frustration. Of betrayal and anger. Of shame. Of regret. All over again, like a shitty song on repeat. She cried and cried into her hands, curled up on the ground before her brother’s grave, letting herself mourn like a normal person because she at least deserved that.
It wasn’t cathartic in the way she hoped it would be. Several minutes later, her face felt grossly swollen. Even after crying herself dry, she was still trembling with grief. Alice really knew how to wreck everything from their family to her composure. She almost wished she didn’t miss him. But she did. She’s just replaying all their good times in her head, wondering where the hell it all went wrong.
Why’d you even kill that guy, Alice? You never told me why. I never pressed because what mattered more was what you did than why you did it but—should I have?
And now she’ll never get to.
“U-Um...”
Reko isn’t surprised that someone felt the need to check on her. She’s not even mad, given that it sounds like a worried girl and she’s not sure how long she’s been curled up on the ground. She’d be real fucking concerned, too.
Dammit. How uncool.
She already gave all her tissue to her parents. Fuck. But, when she pushes herself up, a shaky hand is offering her a handkerchief.
“H-Here,” the girl holding it stammers, shaking even more when Reko got a good look at her. “Y-You look like you need this...”
She’s—almost obscenely cute, with a frantic, bug-eyed expression and long, wild red hair pulled back into a ponytail. She looked a few years younger, so being found like this by her was even more flustering.
“No, I...” Swallowing, Reko tried to subtly wipe her nose. She winced when she ended up sniffling. “I’m fine. I think I got it all out.”
The latter was at least true. She was cried out, but she still kind of wanted to cover her face.
“Y-You most certainly are not fine!” the girl exclaimed because she wasn’t stupid. But to Reko’s surprise, rather than insisting, the young woman took the initiative and scrubbed Reko’s face with the handkerchief herself. “Y-You were crying for a good ten minutes...! And given the way you dressed, you must have just stood through a funeral! There’s no way you’re fine!”
It was pretty clumsy, the way she tried to wipe down Reko’s tearstained cheeks, but it wasn’t rough. Shakiness and pushiness aside, the gesture was as gentle as it could be. So, she just allowed it before the girl yelped and would’ve dropped the handkerchief had Reko not caught it.
“S-Sorry,” she stammered. “I, um, I got completely carried away... Um...”
“It’s fine,” Reko couldn’t help but laugh. Actually laugh, when her damn murdering brother’s grave was so close to her back. “I was being stubborn. You’re right. I’m not fine.”
“Um... It’s still uncalled for to be like that with someone I don’t even know,” she pointed out meekly. “Sorry. I’m really sorry...”
“Reko.”
She perked up, bug-eyed once more.
“My name’s Reko. Yabusame Reko. There. Now you know me.” Reko blew her nose on the handkerchief. “So, it’s cool, right?”
“C-Cool... I’m Egokoro Nao. Nice to...meet you...”
Nao wasn’t meeting her eyes, cheeks burning pink, but she kept on talking.
“I got so overzealous because... I lost someone recently, too. M-My professor... He was...instrumental to who I am today.”
“Yeah, my brother’s the same,” Reko said, smiling sardonically. Because it still hurt, she did have to ask. “Was this professor a good guy?”
“T-The best! Mishima-sensei had a scary face, but he was such a wonderful person! Super radiant!” Nao exclaimed with such passion. “He was a really, really good guy! H-He... He shouldn’t have died...! Wah...!”
“Ah...” But before Reko can offer the handkerchief back, Nao whipped out another and blew her nose, wailing into it.
“Professor was so nice—! W-Way too nice!” She sniffled, tears welling up. “S-So nice... He... He even protected me...”
Nao was wearing long baggy sleeves. When one of them fluttered down, Reko saw burn scars marring her pale arm.
Fuck.
“He was a hero, huh?”
“Yes, he was! Uu. B-But. S-Sorry, sorry, that was a year ago,” Nao stammered. “H-How, um...how was your brother? W-Was he also a good guy?”
“He was...” I don’t want to talk about him right now. It’s much easier to comfort her than to talk about him. “Complicated. We had good times, though. Hey, let’s sit down.”
She patted Nao’s shoulder, pausing for a moment before brushing away the beginning trickles of tears from Nao’s ruddy face. Her cheeks only got redder than her hair.
“R-Reko, you’re really cool,” she murmured. “A-And I was the one who approached you first...”
“As far as I’m concerned, that makes you way cooler.”
“Wah—!” Geez, any redder and this girl would burst into steam. At least she was cute. Painfully cute. Alice would’ve liked her. Reko already does. Maybe too much for a first meeting.
“Let’s talk a little more, Nao,” she says, and she hopes it doesn’t sound like begging. “I think—we’d get along pretty well, yeah? There’s not much to say about my brother...but I wouldn’t mind hearing about your professor.”
“Okay, but I do want to get to know you better, then, in that case,” Nao replied, looking so adorably serious. “I-If you don’t mind, Reko.”
Reko couldn’t help but grin, ever gentle as she ushered Nao away, further and further from Alice’s grave.
“Nah, I don’t mind at all. I can tell you a few things. Like how this isn’t my normal face.”
“I-It’s not?!”
She laughed again, and maybe her laughter carried to her brother. Maybe it didn’t. She had an uncomfortable feeling that Alice would be happy to see her getting along with someone else like this—but for her own sake, maybe that was fine.
Maybe that was just fine.

“No. I'm going home and doing my homework for once.” A boy with raven hair and light blue eyes sternly said. He was making eye contact with a girl in gothic clothing. She has deep violet eyes and dark hair pulled back into a ponytail on the top of her head.
She was glaring back in draggers.
“You can't just say no!” The girl argued. “She could destroy the town! You saw what she could do at the meteor shower last fall!” The girl gestured in a certain direction in the park they were in. “Are you honestly just going to ignore her wish granting?!”
The boy held his ground. “Yes. Sam, I'm going to ignore it because there are other people who can catch her.”
“Oh yeah? Who Danny? Valerie?” Sam's voice dripped with venom at the mention of the other girl's name. “Or your parents? The G.I.W.?” Sam put her hands on her hips. “Or do you mean your sister and us?” She gestured to an African-American boy in a red beret and thick rimmed glasses. The boy was watching the exchange between his best friends in silent horror.
Sam was pushing buttons. The boy knew. But he could only watch.
Danny's eyes flashed from blue to an acid green. It was mostly hidden by his bangs, but the boy in the red beret saw the change. “Um, Sam-” the boy tried to mediate.
“Stay out of this Tucker.” The girl growled at the boy in glasses. Danny snarled at Sam as his hair moved out of his now acid green eyes.
That was the straw that broke the camel's back.
“Don't tell him what to do Sam.” Danny growled out. Sam wasn't phased by the tone or the eyes. “If he wants to talk, then let him talk! His opinions matter.”
“This is between you and me Fenton. Not him! So his opinion doesn't apply here!” Sam raised her voice.
Tucker started to back away slowly from the two. Tensions have been high for a few months now. Danny was under constant stress from ghost hunting and school. Sam wasn't making it any easier by telling Danny that he was just overreacting to it all. Brushing him off and urging him to keep fighting ghosts. It was going to turn on their heads sooner or later.
Tucker honestly loves them both, but even he knew Danny had limits, even with ghost powers.
Danny was going to snap.
Like he was right now.
Tucker hugged himself as Danny growled like an animal. “He is a part of this group as much as you.” Danny snarled. Tucker's eyes widened as he saw Danny's teeth. His canines were unnaturally elongated and sharp. “He deserved the RIGHT to SPEAK!” Danny bellowed at Sam.
Sam held her ground fearlessly. She had a scolding look to her face. “What could he honestly add that could be sooooo helpful.” Her tone gave a bit of sarcasm.
Ouch. That hurt Tuck's heart.
She didn't mean for it to come across that way.
Right?
Danny stepped closer to Sam's face and said dangerously low. “Maybe if you let him talk, we'll know.” They were a breath apart with Danny a few inches taller than Sam. They were glaring dangerously at each other as Sam turned quickly red in the face.
She moved her arms up to push Danny. Tucker saw the motion and quickly shoulder shoved Danny out of the way. Sam pushed Tucker to the ground. He landed on his elbows.
Tucker was okay. He wasn't physically hurt.
But he was emotionally exhausted.
“WHY YOU LITTLE- OOF!” Tucker quickly got up and tackled Danny to the ground. Tucker pinned his best friend to avoid the boy from hurting Sam. She didn't mean to push Tucker or tried to with Danny. She was just mad. And people did stupid things when they were mad.
Like picking fights with a teenager who could literally pick up cars and throw them across town.
Oh man… Danny could honestly kill somebody if he wasn't careful.
Danny looked at Tucker with a fury in his eyes. “TUCKER!” Danny screeched. “LET ME GO NOW!” Tucker didn't move, and Danny didn't move him with force like he could have.
A minute passed before Tucker spoke. “You need to cool off.” Tucker looked concerned. “You don't look like yourself D.” Tucker used an old nickname of Danny's.
A really old nickname.
Danny stared at Tucker for a few seconds before relaxing a small bit. He was breathing heavily. He felt like punching down a wall, or yelling.
Yelling down a wall sounded great about now.
Tucker looked back at Sam. She was standing there. Arms limp at her sides with wide eyes. She was staring at Danny. Like she just now noticed how mad he looked. “Sa-am.” Tucker breath shaky. His nerves were fried. “Go.”
“Tucker I-”
“Go.” Tucker added more emphasis this time.
She got the message.
She jogged up the trail that left the park. When she was out of sight. Tucker looked to the halfa pinned beneath him.
Tucker had the boy by his hands above his head. He was being pinned by one of Tucker's knees in the admin. His closed eyes had dark circles around them. His canines were long and sharp. He was breathing heavily through his teeth in a way to calm himself.
Danny never forces himself up. He never forced Tucker off of him.
Danny had a weird rule about that.
He would have forced anyone else off him by now. Used his super strength to get up and fight on.
But not with Tucker. Tucker was the only exception. And well… Jazz. Tucker didn't fully understand it, but he didn't have to. It was Danny after all.
A few minutes passed, and Danny's anger slipped into sobbing. Tucker moved off of Danny and released his hands. Tucker was soon wrapped up in an embrace by the young halfa.
Danny buried his head in his best friend-no, brother's- shoulder and cried. “I-I just wanted t-to get my res-search paper d-done.” Danny sobbed. Tucker rubbed circles into his back. “I don't want to f-fail.”
“I know man. I know.” Tucker soothed. “We can go to my place and get started if you want. There are other folk who can take care of the ghosts.”
“I w-wished I wasn't such a f-freak.” Danny sobbed.
“Dude, you're not a freak. If I had to wish for anything, it would be for you to stay the same, powers and all.” Tucker said. “And maybe for you to be less…”
“Fucked up.” Danny sniffed. “Believe me, I want that. Sometimes I wonder what would happen if the portal never fully opened, or if Sam never talked us into hunting ghosts.” He wiped his eyes with the back of his hand.
“Didn't Sam make a wish similar to that during the meteor last semester?” Tucker furrowed his eyebrows together in thought.
“It was to never meet me, and in turn you, but she was wearing the Specter Deflector so she remembered.” Danny sniffed again. He stopped crying at least.
Tucker huffed annoyed. “We never said we didn't want to meet her.” Tucker mumbled.
“Exactly!” Danny leaned up and broke the hug to look Tucker in the eye. His nose was running and his eyes were red from crying. “WHY are we still friends with her!?” Danny croaked. “She has been nothing but a pain since I got my powers!” He pointed to the direction Sam left the park. “She didn't even let you have a chance to talk!”
“Duuuude, that was so uncool.” Tucker slump where he sat.
“And it's not the first time she's done it either! Last week for the molecule model thing, she didn't let you do anything! I saw from my table.” Danny was mad, but he was a lot calmer than a few minutes ago.
Tucker groaned. “It was soooooo unfair. And that was one of the few projects I was looking forward to! I can't believe Mr. Mindle assigned us partners for the thing.” Tucker crossed his arms.
“I know! I was just lucky not to get Dash as one.” Danny grimaced. “I might have actually hurt him that day if we were partners.” He rubbed the back of his neck. “It was a looong day.”
Tucker smirked. “Bet it made your day to get paired with the cute smart girl.” Tucker wriggled his eyebrows.
Danny lightly glared. “Seriously Tucker?” Tucker innocently smiled. Danny rolled his eyes. “Okay. Fine. It actually did. But not for the reasons you're thinking of.”
Tucker was curious now. “Really? How she made your day?” He was really curious to know how one project together made Danny's day.
“She was just- I don't know.” Danny found it hard to explain. “She just- gave off this welcoming and non-judgy vibe? I think. She was super nice and wasn't all in your face about stuff. She even explained to me what the molecule model was, and the difference between the carbon molecules in diamonds and graphite.”
“Danny, we were told that three weeks ago.” Tucker said after a moment.
Danny groaned and put his face in his hands. “All stupid Ghost hunting is messing with my studies!” Danny looked up at Tucker. “It's a wonder that I'm passing at all…”
“Hey. Solid C+ is better than Dash record F-.” Tucker smirked.
“You don't know that he has an F-.” Danny said. He squinted his eyes at Tucker. “...Do you?”
“Not only do I know, but can back it up with math. Care for the statistics?” Tucker gloated.
Danny lightly laughed. “Maybe another day.” Danny looked up at the sky. It was still daylight outside. “We should get going. How-how do I look?” Danny asks hesitantly.
Tucker did a once over. “Your eyes are back to blue, but your teeth are still sharp.” Tucker kept scanning Danny for anything weird. “You look tired, but otherwise normal.”
Danny sighed and got up. He offered Tucker a hand up as Danny said “I feel tired.”
“I feel you D.” Tucker took Danny's offered hand.
Once to their feet, Danny and Tucker started to walk to Tucker's house, where Tucker's parents and warm fresh baked cookies will greet them. Studying and talking filled their afternoon with a fresh of breath air.
Desiree hazed into existence at the park. The ghost child was too upset with his goth friend to notice her.
She was graceful for that.
The halfa looked ready to kill if his sergeant brother hadn't stepped in.
Their conversation after the goth girl left was interesting, to say the least. Desiree almost granted the ghost child's wish when his brother negated it with his own. But they were getting clever, but she had her loopholes.
The brother left the wish open-ended, and the ghost child continued it with the conversation.
She could use whatever they said to grant their wish. It will take more time to grant it, but it is possible.
Been awhile since Desiree granted a wish like that.

I was asked by @lovelynhiddenkittens to do all 150 questions in the Honesty Hour tag! 😮 Thank you, lovely and curious stranger~! 😆 But since that’s a lot for one post, I’ll break it up into chunks of 50 questions so it’s easier for all my blogging buddies to digest. 😊 Starting... now! 😝
1. Who was the last person you held hands with?
That would have to be Alex. He was warming my hand for me because it was ice cold. Though he doesn’t know that’s because I intentionally held my super cold drink for a really long time with that hand, then casually mentioned how cold my hand was so he’d try to warm it... >//> Introverts are sneaky flirts, what can I say? 😆😏
2. Are you outgoing or shy?
Shy, definitely. Though there are alters in the system much more outgoing than me.
3. Who are you looking forward to seeing?
Tyler! 😄 I’ve been staying over at her apartment every weekend this past summer, and always enjoy our movie and gaming marathons. 😝
4. Are you easy to get along with?
I think so. I’m not very easily angered, a pacifist at heart, and a people-pleaser at my core. 😂 So it’s pretty hard not to get along with me.
5. If you were drunk would the person you like take care of you?
I don’t know, Alex is a sweetheart so he’d probably help, and Tyler cares but she doesn’t do bodily fluids. 😆 So, it depends. And considering I’ve never been drunk, and seem to have too high a tolerance to get drunk without having to rob a bank to fund the sheer volume of alcohol needed, I doubt this problem will ever arise. 👌
6. What kind of people are you attracted to?
Kind and funny people. 😊

Ehhh... Depends which alter you ask really. Me, personally? Not so much. My family has always told me our family line is cursed to have bad luck, so if I believed in such things, I guess I’m doomed. 😂
15. What good thing happened this summer?
I’ve started working on myself and my social life, strengthening friendships irl and online, or, at least attempting to. 😅 Sometimes I’m just bad at not isolating. But this past summer I’ve been spending basically every weekend at my friend Tyler’s apartment and hanging out with her core group of friends. It’s been a nice break from the chaos of the school semester. 😊
16. Would you kiss the last person you kissed again?
Well, considering she’s on the other side of the country back in my home state, probably not. She was a lovely first kiss, but I’ll leave it at that. 🤭
17. Do you think there is life on other planets?
With how many planets there are in the galaxy; the universe? Not to mention how many planets within The Goldilocks Zone that share a similar atmosphere to earth within the observable universe alone... How could I not think other life exists? At the very least, in some kind of bacterial form, though, I dare to dream a little bigger. ✨
18. Do you still talk to your first crush?
Well, I’ve never really had a crush, per se, though plenty of squishes. :3 But my first squish did not turn out well, so, no. :c
19. Do you like bubble baths?
Yes, especially if I go all out and light candles and play music on my phone. 🕯️🎶😌 However, I don’t do that very often. I take showers mostly.
20. Do you like your neighbors?
Yeah, they’re chill people. The neighbors with the overly-territorial pitbull that kept us prisoner in our car for hours and broke into our fenced-in backyard to take massive doggie dumps out of sheer hatred for us moved away because their dog kept terrorizing the neighbourhood and was going to get put down if it didn’t stop breaking out to chase children on trikes and joggers onto rooftops. So, the neighbors we have now are awesome! 😆
21. What are your bad habits?
Sometimes I’m too honest and don’t know when to stop talking, other times I’m so socially anxious I might as well be a feature of the wall at parties. 😂 I also have trichotillomania, a compulsive disorder related to OCD, in which I get really strong urges to pull out my hair sometimes, so definitely a bad habit... Just talking about it kinda... ehhhh... moving on. e~e
22. Where would you like to travel?
A lot of places. Though Scotland is at the top of my list. Scotland is a huge part of my family’s heritage, and some of my family still lives there. So I would love to visit and spend some time in nature there~ 💕
23. Do you have trust issues?
Yes.
24. Favorite part of your daily routine?
Well, anytime I get to de-stress is nice. I know wiping down my face with a face wipe always feels nice and refreshing after a day out running errands and attending classes. It’s the little things that are the most help~ 😊
25. What part of your body are you most uncomfortable with?
All of it. If I could edit my body, that would be nice.
26. What do you do when you wake up?
Hit snooze on the alarm a couple times, get up, walk to the bathroom... you can imagine the rest.

Nope, I’m quite happy with my vampire pale skin, and even my dirty blonde, curly lion’s mane of hair, and my blue eyes ain’t so bad either. I’m not completely hideous, just 97% hideous. 👌😂

No, because I usually cut them out of my life after they break my heart. Some have tried to stay friends with me or become friends with me again years later, but... no. I don’t need backstabbers in my life.

Yep. I had a bit of a squish on this kid named Travis in elementary school and never told him. My frenemy told him I had a crush on him, and he never talked to me after that. 😭

I either make a joke or just enjoy the silence. Depends what mood I’m in. Sometimes I’m more introverted and just want to sit in silence or listen to music instead of talk. Other times I just wanna connect with people and I tend to crack a lot of darker, self-deprecating jokes as a way to break the ice, or tension if I feel some.
38. Describe your dream girl/guy?
I want someone who is genuinely kind, patient, and funny. It also helps if they are neurodivergent like me, and have similar enough interests, sense of humor, etc. to my own. c: Overall, I just want to feel comfortable and safe with someone. 😊
39. What are your favorite stores to shop in?
I buy food at Fry’s... so... Fry’s?
40. What do you want to do after high school?
I’m already out of high school, bub. Now I’m in college, and I still have no idea. I have dream jobs, dream homes, dream lives. But none of them seem realistic.

Depends on the crime, really. If I hired someone to babysit my hypothetical children, and they forgot to tell the children to clean up their toys, I believe a second chance is in order. If they, however, ditched the job to mack on Paul Puffy Lips next door, leaving my children to starve, I don’t believe I’ll be giving them another call.
42. If you’re being extremely quiet what does it mean?
It means I’m probably really socially anxious at the moment and would prefer to not be made the center of attention. o~o’
43. Do you smile at strangers?
Yes, sometimes to spread cheer and joy, other times because I’m worried they’ll think I’m an up-to-no-good deviant or zombified by depression, which is how I feel at least 80% of the time, and worry everyone notices, even strangers, who probably would not assume such things, but that’s social anxiety for you. 😂
44. A trip to outer space or the bottom of the ocean?
Why not both? However, humans are so preoccupied with space that we’ve only explored 5% of our oceans. I don’t want the oceans to feel lonely, so I’ll visit them first. 💙
45. What makes you get out of bed in the morning?
Sometimes the looming responsibilities in my life, other times I just don’t get out of bed.
46. What are you paranoid about?
A lot of things, but the most pressing concern of mine is that everyone will inevitably leave me because I’m a terrible, horrible human being who doesn’t deserve friendship. 😅

Every day, if I can help it. I have a medical marijuana card and have for a couple years now.

Ardyn actually worries and has heart for her. We know he doesn’t mind deliberately causing harm from here to there, but that’s towards his enemies. If we see back in his story, I do believe he has (or at least used to have) a good heart. I believe he had a super sweet heart and intentions back in the days before they betrayed him. So, of course, point number one is:
His daughter’s birth softens his heart.
Seriously softens it to the point you wouldn’t believe the stuff this man makes/has done before.
He’s utterly and completely in awe when he finally sees her.
He’s single papa, but had the child since her birth.
He’s so shocked he can’t even speak or blink.
Did he just have a kid?
It’s a baby girl…it’s a girl…it’s his baby girl…
What is he supposed to do

Why does he have so many questions!?!?!
First thing he does is just stare at her.
He’s puzzled, frozen, and shocked.
He’s literally just staring.
Eventually, he builds courage to reach a finger close to her.
The baby, recently done with crying, senses the finger nearby and grips it.
Ardyn is even more shocked then before because “she can wrap her whole hand around one of my fingers, she’s so small somebody help me.”
I mean, he did wanted a child, but he just realized she’s too precious and so small and so fragile and now he’s scared.
Ardyn is scared of holding her at first.
He thinks she’s too small, is this size normal, isn’t she too tiny?
He does worry on the size but eventually loses fear of picked her up.
Ardyn starts a bit scared of touching her too much.
“What if I hurt her?”
The baby snuggles against him. That’s when he starts losing the fear.
Time goes but Ardyn’s still super shocked.
He’s not putting the baby down.
She spends more time in Ardyn’s arms than in the crib or anywhere else.
He’s so amazed, he can’t get away of her for a damn second.
Ardyn’s favorite and almost-only activity during the baby stage is solely picked her in arms and rock her very, very gently.
She’s puked and peed on him, like any other baby, but he never once minded.
He’s lived for so long, he had forgotten what a new, starting life is like.
So Ardyn is amazed by all the little things she does, like a child discovering the world for first time.
Ardyn is teaching her to walk.
He’s sat on the floor and opens the arms to her, encouraging to come hug him.
Ardyn Aw’s and helps her up every time she falls down.
Ardyn’s baby voice; not too exaggerated, just a slight raise of pitch.
Lots of “Yay”s.
From Ardyn, I mean.
He’s so happy.
The baby girl has some liking for Ardyn’s real face.
He was afraid of showing it to her, at first, but it became normal.
Baby girl has falled asleep snuggled to his chest and nested in his arms while he has had the real face and dark aura on him.
Ardyn discovers it soothes her.
Ardyn’s crying.
She just accepted him as he really is.
Ardyn’s not going to stop crying in two weeks.
Ardyn gives lots of cheek-raspberries to her.
Both love it.
Ardyn is constantly skimo-kissing her.

Like 14 y.o. girl arrives with her boyfriend, and Ardyn knows this is your typical first romance, puppy love, all naive and cute.
But still, when she looks away, he’s going to pull his real face out and will grin at the guy.

Little girl was never cheated on or dumped, needless to say, hahaha.
Ardyn’s walking her to school every- single- day- of her school life.
Every single day.
She never grows up embarrassed.
Papa Ardyn’s the best, so she’ll walk hand in hand with him even when it’s middle school (usually when kids get the most grumpy about parents).
Ardyn gets pretty emotional sometimes.
First time he took her to school, her hand was so tiny it held to two of his fingers…

My thoughts: I love them heaps!!! Like Ymir says they’re both very similar with y'know the whole living a lie thing they’ve been through. They’ve both been through horrible things no little girl should have gone through. Yet (as much as Ymir likes to deny it) they both still have some compassion inside and a caring nature. I just feel like they really understand each other and they need someone like that. I also just think they compliment each other really nicely like two sides of the same coin. I love their lil fights/arguments too I think they’re adorable bc they’re healthy and normal and are usually made to try and help the other person. Summary: they’re super cute I love them
What makes me happy about them: That they’re canon (especially as lgbts) !!! Like I can still remember the day it was announced my friend and I were like crying and clinging to each other the whole day haha. And they’re just really cute and a perfect match in my opinion
What makes me sad about them:If you’re caught up on the manga I think you could take a guess. Also how they seem to be almost destined to never be properly together with Ymir’s deal with Reiner and Historia with her queen duties. Also both of their backstories are tragic and always make me sad
Things done in fanfic that annoys me:I guess just mischaracterisation like Historia being portrayed as super sweet and innocent. Other than that nothing really!
Things I look for in fanfic:I’m always looking out for canonverse yumihisus but I haven’t came across many. I’m not sure, I haven’t really read a yumihisu fic that’s really blown me away. How I feel about this character: She’s a blessing. She’s very sweet and strong. I wish she wasn’t just reduced to potato jokes bc she’s so much more than that! She’s such a good person and character! I love how goofy and sometimes rebellious yet polite and kind she is. I love that she’s shown with the little insecurity of her accent and her way of speaking but her friends always try and bring her out of that as they love her the way she is. I love that she expresses fear as you realistically would. She’s a very real, believable and relatable character.
All the people I ship romantically with this character: Mikasa, Connie, Ymir (is this a thing?? please be a thing), Historia ahhhh Sasha and all the girls please, Mina bc of that one official art and actually holy heck they would have been cute, Annie? Jean? idk Sasha’s so nice she could click w anyone

How I feel about this character: Historia is really important to me personally as I relate to her a lot (both of us being super gay for Ymir lmao)
But like the whole taking on a different personality for most of your life. Like I was very much like Krista during most of my school life. I was overly kind, sweet and caring to everyone even people who really did not deserve it. It’s quite interesting actually that as I read Historia starting to ‘live for herself’ and as herself I was too. So I kind of grew out of that with her which is why she’s very important to me.
And it’s always nice to find a character you relate to and the fact that she likes girls too is just 🙏🙏
All the people I ship romantically with this character: Ymir!!!! And Eren
My non-romantic OTP for this character:Maybe Reiner and Historia? Like I can see them being each other’s beards and maybe in an au tricking the parents that they’re straight as they’re both pretty much the poster children of the bf/gf you’d want to show off to your mum. And I think they could have been quite good friends
My unpopular opinion about this character: I don’t think people think it anymore but I remember when the chapters were coming out as her as Historia most people thought she was this super cold bitch (me included at first) but hah that’s not the case. I mean she’s not ridiculously nice goddess Krista but she definitely still cares about herself, Ymir, her friends and children. You just have to remember she had a rough life and childhood of course she’s gonna come across as cold and distant sometimes.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:I want her and Ymir to get married and to take in the orphaned children and raise them as their own (with the help of her loyal servants and possibly in their free time Levi Squad as Historia is a very busy queen). Ymir would love her lots and Historia would raise and treat the children how she wished she could have been. She’d dedicate as much time as she could with them. I want her to be happy and content with her life
