Do you guys really believe that killing is the singular bad thing that cops do?
Or even that killing is the most frequent bad thing that cops do?
Are you saying that if cops didn't kill, then they'd be the same as Batman? Because then you're suggesting that effectively Batman already is a cop, with the exception that he hasn't killed (just like the majority of U.S. cops, who have never once shot or killed anybody).
I'm a bit worried to see opinions suggesting that only killing is wrong—and that violence, stalking, and humiliation are okay. In real-life, police commit countless acts of those "little" abuses, terrorizing entire communities, before they murder anybody.
Invading people's privacy is wrong. Hurting people to the point of hospitalization is wrong. Forcibly drugging people is wrong. Putting people in cages is wrong. Torture and "enhanced interrogation" are wrong. Ambushing people in their homes and safe places is wrong. Keeping inexhaustible wealth is wrong.
Superhero comics are power fantasies. Not all fantasies need to reflect our ideology in reality. But once you apply your real-life values to fiction, once you decide that fiction showcases exemplary real-life ideology—then your praise for Batman's ideology does become a worrying reflection of your real-life understanding of social issues.
Okay look I don't condone most of Kingpin's actions but that shot of him beating the shit out of that ice cream vendor after he was an ableist prick to Maya in the Echo trailer? Iconic
I can’t even think about the Batch changing their armor rn bc when did they realize they didn’t have to keep their old colors anymore?? That regulations were a thing of the past and they could throw as many colors together as they want just because they liked it??? and god they must have had so much fun choosing colors at Omega’s insistence and pretending to do it just for her but actually genuinely liking it too and you can tell that it’s their armor since the shape is very distinguishable and you can still see some remnants of their old colors so what I’m getting at here is that they literally SAT DOWN AND PAINTED ALL THESE DIFFERENT COLORS THEY DIDN’T SCAVENGE NEW ARMOR AND I CAN JUST HEAR THE RAZZING JOKES OF HOW WRECKER LOOKS LIKE THE SPACE VERSION OF A BUMBLEBEE OR ROASTING HUNTER FOR HAVING TO HAVE THE BLUE ACCENT ON HIS ABDOMEN TO MATCH HIS NEWLY PAINTED SHOULDER PADS (which looks a heck of a lot like Howzer’s battalion’s colors and I swear to god if he did that shade in honor of Howzer I WILL rip my house from its foundations) AND I JUST KNOW HUNTER RAPPED HIS KNUCKLES ON OMEGA’S HEAD WHEN SHE PUT THAT HELMET ON FOR THE FIRST TIME AND I JUST KNOW TECH MADE A COMMENT ABOUT ECHO NEEDING THE RED TURTLENECK I can’t I just can’t it all screams of family bonding and they deserve it so much and literally the only thing that can make me sad while looking at this picture is imagining what Crosshair would have made his armor look like if he were still with them
THIS SHORT SEGMENT OF STAN RIDGWAY BEING IN THE SAME ROOM AS IAN MCCULLOCH (AND PETE DE FREITAS)??? AND THEY BOTH SAY THE MOST RIDICULOUSLY GAYEST THING EVER??

speaking of tawnypelt its so funny when people go “mothpool is bad because people reduce mothwings character to just this fanon relationship! why not focus on her relationship with her thunderclan siblings!!!”
Y'all (general) really really need to exercise the block buttons more.
An opinion you don't agree with? Someone makes you uncomfortable? Something you don't like? Even just a person whose way of presenting information makes you uncomfortable (even if you agree with them)?
Block.
BLOCK.
B.L.O.C.K.
Look, I get it. I used to think seeing opinions I didn't agree with was important, that exposing myself was a way of staying informed. But finally, I hit a breaking point - I already knew the viewpoints I disagreed with, and seeing them every day was making me miserable.
I've blocked liberally since then.
And the most remarkable thing happened: I routinely see posts where lots of people are disagreeing with the same person...and I already have that person blocked.
Because the most insidious thing about letting myself see the negativity and things that made me unhappy all the time is that leaving it all there gave me the impression that there were a LOT of vocally awful people saying things that hurt me.
But there aren't.
There's actually a surprisingly small number of people who get off on trolling or are so marinated in hate that they have to spew it all around them, and when you block those people, the world gets much more peaceful.
You're not growing as a person by exposing yourself to rhetoric that hurts you. You're just hurting, which is exactly how those people want you to feel: they want you to be in as much agony as they are.
Don't give them the satisfaction.
BLOCK THEM.
(tbh I've hit the point that I think people who willfully, deliberately, loudly, intentionally don't block are engaging in a form of self-harm. seriously, you're not taking a noble stand, no one cares if you don't block except the people hurting you.)
