honestly, i can't see kim raebin getting close to a woman who is completely stranger to him. so, let's just say that you were the daughter of their neighbour who is also his childhood friend.

we all know how introverted kim raebin was, so you had a hard time on getting close with him. because he always avoids you, or if you ever found a perfect time to talk to him, he always hisses making you blink. because for someone who looks like a bunny, kim raebin sure acts like a cat around you.

but wanna know how the two of you got close to each other? it's simple. it's because kim raebin accidentally saw you playing a guitar at a school event back when the two of you were in third grade. and boy, he was overjoyed! because this was the first time that he saw someone interested in music just like him!

at first, kim raebin was really shy when the two of you played or rather spent time together while playing various music instruments or making songs. but expect that after that, he would be so clingy. clingy to the point that he would follow you around like a damn puppy. at first, you thought that it was cute— not until you knew that he started stalking you around when you didn't hangout with him for a few days because you were too busy with school works.

what did you do? of course, you confronted him. but look, even though kim raebin has a problem when it comes on socializing with other people. it wasn't the same with you, because this guy knew everything about you. from your likes and dislikes, your habits, hell, even your measurements! that was the main reason why he easily changed the flow of the argument. he easily made you think that you are the one who's imagining that he was stalking you just because you missed hanging out with him, damn this smart guy.

kim raebin is so damn good when it comes to manipulating you into thinking that you were always the wrong one. forcing you to hang out with him without you thinking that he is actually forcing you. but, don't worry because kim raebin will never hurt you, he swear.

that's why when you heard that he got scouted on a certain entertainment company. you were overjoyed about this. because raebin will finally be able to achieve his dream and of course, you will be able to escape his clutches.

but, boy! kim raebin is a smart guy. because a year after kim raebin became a trainee, you got scouted too, by the same company that scouted kim raebin. how did that happen? you have no fucking idea. the only thing that they said is that they liked the song that you sent to them when you didn't actually send them one of your pieces. but who in the hell did sent it to them? you couldn't helped but to wonder. of course, it was a certain black-haired bunny who was overjoyed when he saw you confusedly stepped onto the company. and kim raebin— along with cha eugene who pestered raebin to introduce him to you welcomed you with the usual excited expression of his.

fast forward, when raebin debuted on testar, you also debuted and became the main vocalist, main rapper and lead dancer of your group. raebin liked the fact that everyone shipped the two of you. when does it start again? when you and raebin got invited to a certain variety show where the two kpop artists got partnered with each other and do certain tasks to see how compatible they were with each other. and seeing how the two of you easily do those tasks without even getting shy with each other, the host couldn't help but to ask the reason behind it. and when the two of you said that you were childhood friends. the internet got into chaos, fuck, childhood friends? everyone loves that kind of trope!

and now, he can visit you anytime he wants. seeing you and him eating together? it's fine, you were childhood friends after all! but seeing you getting partnered with a kpop artist who is not raebin? expect that everyone will criticize that idol because of that.

and raebin was satisfied with what was happening. he loved the fact that he was able to tie you down with him without you realizing it. it's fine even if you get into a secret relationship with other famous people. because once that was discovered by the public. he just needs to act pitiful and his and your fans will do the work to force you break up with whoever that guy was.

look, he likes you. he respects your decisions and choices but seeing you with other people makes his skin crawl. so, can you stay with him and do him a favour just like the old days, will you? because if you do that, he will gladly remain still and take care of you and protect your career.

I hate when I start having an idea for one character and it turns into having that idea for multiple characters, but, basically, i started thinking of Bruce Wayne and then Lex Luthor creeped into my mind

One of my favorite yandere tropes is "helping you for your own good, even if it's against your will and you hate me for it", and, I was actually thinking about the whole red strings of fate soulmate trope again, and I started thinking of Reader almost immediately rejecting Bruce or Lex for, multiple reasons, but they won't take no for an answer, and then I ALSO started thinking, what if I throw ABO into the mix?

You're an adult Unpresented and basically a second class citizen in society and you've gone your entire life not knowing who to love or trust, growing up in an unstable if not outright abusive home, poor, not being able to be close and affectionate with people the way everyone around you is with their scenting and purring, and you eventually grow resentful of everyone else. You're constantly mistreated and called slurs and working shitty jobs, doing a catering gig at a high class party when your red string of fate appears and you think, "oh great, it must be another member of the waitstaff, if I cause a scene I'll lose this job and be even more in debt, maybe i should sneak off"

Cue you turning around and your soulmate is one of the richest men in the entire world and he even has a supermodel on his arm. Like you're either turning around and seeing unfathomably rich infamous man whore, 'is kind of a brat in his public persona' Bruce Wayne OR the guy who is equally as rich and is constantly beefing with Superman and does things like secretly cures cancer but waters it down to make more money as a treatment rather than a one-time cure

You're just instantly expecting rejection, not wanting any sort of confrontation, and also feeling more than a little humiliated. You finally meet your fated mate and you're working a service gig holding a tray of finger sandwiches while he's a billionaire in black tie attire eating caviar and sipping champagne. Not only is there this ENORMOUS class divide between you, absolutely daunting differences in how you live your life and the expenditures of wealth and flagrant flaunting of it, but he's also an Alpha, and you're... nothing. And you're not sure if you even want a mate anyways. You don't really believe in it. You don't want to give someone that opportunity to hurt you

You're just instantly wanting to run away, meanwhile Lex/Bruce is peeling the model off their arm and bee-lining for you IMMEDIATELY to introduce himself, not giving you any opportunity to slip away. Bruce would take the tray out of your hands himself whereas Lex would snap his fingers and have someone else do it, both of them expecting you to, essentially, immediately drop everything you're doing to get to know them, talk to them--

and your voice cracks as you reject them. Sorry, this clearly isn't going to work out. You need to get back to work, and the differences between the two of you and the worlds you live in are far too different--

But he won't take no for an answer. The arrogant Alpha is vaguely dismissive as he laughs off your concerns. The two of you just need to get to know each other! You're soulmates, how could you two not be meant to be?

But you refuse. You don't really want to talk to him at all. In fact, maybe you even dislike him. Bruce Wayne is publicly a playboy and Lex Luthor is infamously callous and outspoken about his hatred and distrust of Superman; you have genuine reasons to immediately dislike either man

But they know you're their mate now and you're in their sights. You could run away from the party and be back at your home, thinking you've bought yourself some time, and they're in their penthouse/basement respectively, using their supercomputers and superhuman knowledge to research every single scrap of information about you. No stone is left unturned. They'll hire a PI and private security to secretly follow you around while still researching the best way to approach you, concocting the perfect scheme to lure you in. All it takes is some hacking and some bribes and they'll know your rental history, your employment, your hospital records, old report cards from grade school, files from your last psychiatrist, EVERYTHING. They basically know your entire life story within 24 hours of meeting you, but they still want to speak to you, hear your own words, your own thoughts

Bruce is convening with the entire Batfamily, telling them about his new Unpresented mate, how you've had a harsh life and he wants them to have nothing but patience and love for you, with them fully intending to forcibly assimilate you into their pack while telling themselves you're just a little wild because you don't know your place in society, who you are as a person, and have never had your own proper pack to "socialize you", NOT that you're reasonably upset for being forced. Meanwhile Lex is over here making arrangements for a new luxury penthouse apartment in Metropolis for you to stay far away from the riffraff in the slums who harass you and threaten to burn your old beaten down house in the 'burbs down (and maybe even bribes someone to actually do it just to chase you into his arms), and begins legitimately actually genuinely researching how to "cure you"

and of course you guys know my cookies and creme is "whoops, now that you're obsessed with me and think I'm dumb and helpless and just a little uwu bean who needs to be rescued, turns out I'm an Omega! Sure hope you don't have any infantilizing if not outright misogynistic thoughts on how I need to be taken care of by other people and protected because I'm just SO delicate :)", so then you have Lex wanting to keep his oh so rare and elegant and pampered mate away from the rabble he thinks you're way too good for, and at the Wayne home you have like half the home thinking of you like their sibling if not ANOTHER PARENT and the other half convinced there's way too many psycho criminals out there for you to be allowed to be by yourself ever again

And I guess my final note is the juiciness of like, for Bruce specifically. Batman has to rescue you from being mugged or murdered or harmed in some way and you just start pouring all your stressed out feelings to him, about the mate you don't think you deserve, how scared you are, how you don't know how to love and he's so put together and successful, and suddenly here's the red string outting Batman as Bruce Wayne as you just sit there "Oh SHIT" realizing 1. You just told him like literally everything in your head including how you think he's an untrustworthy capitalist whore and 2. Oh God he's fucking Batman

Like... just imagine the excuse it gives him... criminals or let alone the Joker himself sees that red string between you and the Caped Crusader and soon every criminal in the city knows the face of Batman's mate and its never safe to show your face ever again. sure, he COULD potentially hide you away under a fake name on some island somewhere, but why do that when he can forcibly mark you and keep you as his house spouse? What, are you gonna break poor little Damian's heart that you AREN'T gonna be his new parent? But the pack is already so attached to you...

It’s time for my new series! I was a bit unsure on format for a while, but I finally decided on one.

Yan!Batboys

Yan!Damian x Academic Rival Reader

(Yes these all are going to have some tropes leave me alone)

Damian first meets you when he starts school in Gossum. Quickly he develops a simultaneous dislike and appreciation of you. He appreciates your intellect on principle (at least you weren’t as much of a buffoon as everyone else here) but he disliked how often you both went toe to toe… And how sometimes he didn’t win.

You had always been one of the smartest people in the school. You were pretty well known for it. You were also well known for not talking to many people, and being a loner.

You had become too smart to fast. You knew that was your inevitable social downfall. You would always been too smart and your peers couldn’t understand. It was fine, you didn’t need friends. (Secretly in the deepest, darkest parts of your mind, you would sometimes wish you weren’t so smart just to have a few friends. However, you knew expectations were for you to be smart. The expectation would be there whether you wanted it to be or not. And you couldn’t handle the disappointment and stares if you didn’t get the top grade)

Damian was the first person who ever challenged you. you felt a spark when he did that. He irritated you a lot often with his hostile attitude, and the fact you weren’t taking the top spot anymore was hard… Especially at home. Still, you could admit, at least yourself, that he added life to your day that wasn’t there when he wasn’t there. He was the first person your age who had ever challenged and won against you.

You both were just that, academic rivals, until a group project where you two are teamed up. That was all it took for you to start being close friends. When you and him worked as a team together to present, you felt better than you would ever felt. After you finished, demon turned to you, and saw you smile in a way he had never seen before. At least, never directed him. That triumphant smile brought heat to his cheeks, but he pushed it down. He convinced himself that the heat and adrenaline and warmth were all due to the fact that you and Damian just blasted everyone else out of the water.

After the project, you became friends. Your competitions turned much more friendly, and you even study together. For the first time in your life, you felt you found an equal. Found someone who was like you. So you didn’t mind (as much) when you didn’t get the top spot anymore. You would try, but you never fully minded when Damian beat you. Not anymore.

How he became Yandere for you

Your parents, and you had an odd relationship. Your mother and father didn’t really care what you did as long as you didn’t shame the family and you kept up your grades. But, now that you weren’t always getting the top spot anymore, you got their attention, and that attention was definitely not positive.

You attempted to distance yourself from Damien around two weeks before Christmas break. The reason? Your family had yelled at you about how you were shaming them by getting second, how disappointed they were at your ‘failure’ and if you didn’t get the next top spot on the exam coming up, you wouldn’t be allowed to go back to Gotham Academy. You had done homeschooling, but you didn’t like it. Homeschooling was with a series of tutors, who often treated you with distaste, and meant that your ex babysitter/tutor, George Lawrence, would come back. You hated that man. He always treated you as if you were stupid and Often made you feel as if you had done something wrong by simply eating or sneezing in his presence.

(a small part of you know that you were also distressed about the fact you would lose Damien. This is the first time in your life you’ve met someone who didn’t shrink away from your intelligence or mock it, but enjoyed and raveled in it and challenged you. You didn’t wanna lose that.)

Damien was struggling as well. Before he would start distancing yourself from him, he had considered you a worthy ally, and almost a friend. You were the only person in the school who didn’t mock him or act like an idiot around him. He enjoyed his time with you, and did not want to lose it.

(a part of him that was growing larger by the day, was wondering why he kept focusing on you, even when he wasn’t supposed to. Why did he think of you during tests? Why did he love the way you smiled when you beat him? Why did a part of him want to lose at times, just so he can see that smile?)

Your change in your actions towards him, had a large affect on him. at first he was angry. How dare you avoid him? He tried to pretend it was fine, as if he didn’t care. Then he noticed how his heart aches when you didn’t eat with him any more at lunch. How when they did tests, you wouldn’t look at him. He hated it.

After a week of this, he noticed your changes. How you looked almost desperate when you were studying. How intently you were listening to the teacher, as if it was life or death. And how sometimes you seem to catch yourself before looking at him.

He had questions, so he did what the best detectives do. He investigated. He put a listening device in your back one day and listen to it after patrol, so he could figure out what was going on( why you wouldn’t smile at him).

After he listened, he grew angrier and angrier. How dare these idiots call themselves your parents and treat you like that? How dare they force you to be like this? He would destroy them for hurting his-

Wait, his? Why were you his?

He’s stewed over all of us for the next few days. He watched as he became more and more desperate, and as the bags under your eyes grew bigger and bigger. His anger grew more and more until the day before the exam, when he found you crying in the library.(he never took back the listening device. He liked listening to you, so when he couldn’t find in the lunchroom, he immediately turned it on and went to find you.)

You were stressed and tired. You would never put so much work in studying for an exam. You couldn’t risk not doing well. You started skipping meals, study, staying up late just so you made sure that you knew everything. Your breakdown was inevitable, and you were expecting to have some sort of breakdown, even if you didn’t want to. You didn’t expect Damian to find you.

When Damian saw you crying, all of the anger in him coiled tightly into a ball in the center of his rib cage. He wanted to rage and scream. He wanted to take out everyone who made you cry. But you didn’t need him to. You needed him to stay.

He was not used to comforting people, but he had watched Grayson and read enough books that you would recommend it to him that he knew to hug you. He held you while you sobbed. When he felt you stop crying, he turns just slightly, and realize you’d fallen asleep.

As he looked at your face, he remembered how his mother had described her love for his father. “ I looked at him and I knew I wanted him. He was important, and he would be mine.” he looked at your face, red and soft and thought of your smile. He knew this was what his mother had felt for his father. You were his, and you always would be no matter what.

Later you would wake up in the nurses office, there’s Damian holding your hand. The nurse would explain that you had passed out, which wasn’t uncommon for exams. You would be excused from all the classes you’d missed. He felt a tinge of fear about your permanent record, and how your family might notice that you didn’t see those classes, but all that was forgotten when the nurse left and Damian was alone with you.

You thanked him for helping you. He simply looked at you and asked why you were upset.(he knew some of it, of course he did, but he needed to know if there was more, what he had missed). With others, you would’ve brushed it off, but then you realize that Damien had voluntarily skipped class to be with you. A boy who didn’t like much physical contact had held you as you cried, and was still holding your hand. Your only friend had stayed with you despite any other obligation. So for the second time that day, you broke and sobbed and talked.

Damian held your hand while you talked. He kept his face a mask of concern, and he was concerned. However, he was also steaming. How dare they threaten to remove you from his sight, from him? The way you talked about your tutor didn’t help either. He despises that idiot for making you feel incompetent when you were anything but.

The next day, you were surprised at how your family hadn’t made any remarks about the classes you missed. When you took the exam, you were confident. A part of you was still scared, but you had made up with Damian. That made a lot of things feel better.

(later that night, Damien would open his laptop and check the scores. He already made his way into the school system, and marks you present for all the classes you missed the day before. Your score was exact, same as his. Quietly, he he changed his score to be one below yours. He logged out of the schools system, and then went into researching your family, and Lawrence. And if the next day Lawrence was arrested for a series of crimes? Well, it wasn’t is as if it was that surprising)

(the only reason he didn’t kill him was because it cost too much attention. Besides, father would not be pleased if they were somehow linked. Now, what was he to do about your family?)

Hanayama often found his fiancée scuttling around his office like a little crab. She was such a skittish thing, with big, innocent eyes and a soft voice. She was weak, something Hanayama disliked most in a partner. And she always tried her best to get to know him… today was no exception

“Can we please spend Christmas together? Just this once?” Hanayama sighed when she stared up at him with her doe like eyes. Why couldn’t she get the hint that he wanted to be left alone?

“This is merely an arrangement by our families, I could care less about your feelings and the stupid holidays.” Hanayama ran a hand through his dark locks. “You’re bothering me so I suggest you leave.”

Hanayama ignored the soft sobs that escaped her lips and he didn’t even cast her a glance when she wished him a soft “Happy holidays.” The door quietly shut behind her and he went back to work. At least she could shut the door properly.

Hanayama shoved the Christmas cookies she made him into the trash beside his desk and continued to work on his paperwork. Hopefully this was the last time he’d ever have to deal with her… he couldn’t stand this arrangement but he kept with it because he wanted to honor his deceased mother’s wishes. Hanayama knew he could never grow to love the meek woman no matter how hard he tried, she’d break if he so much as touched her. She was far too fragile for him.

When it finally became night, Hanayama decided to retire for the night. The yakuza went to lay down in his bed but the screen door to his room suddenly opened and a cold, winter breeze blew in. What on earth?

“Hello.” Hanayama nearly jumped out of his skin when a ghostly apparition stood at the foot of his bed. The youthful face of his mother stared back at him which left his mouth gaping like a fish. “It’s been so long…”

“M-mom?” Hanayama reached out for the figure but she gently put his hands down. She was as cold as ice… “Why are you here?”

“We need to go for a walk… a nice, long walk.” His mother gave him a soft smile as she lead him around towards the door of his room. “A walk in the past.”

“The past… what do you mean?”

“Well, I’m the ghost of Christmas past.” His mother smiled as the walls of the compound began to change to the ones he was familiar with when he was a child. What kind of magic was this? How was this even possible? “You need to be reminded of your origins…”

Hanayama was shocked to see himself as a child crying as he sat beside his mother in the old family room. The ghost beside him pointed to the red welt on her human body’s face. “I used to beg your father to stay with me every once and awhile… to spend time with us as a family.”

Hanayama frowned as he watched the image play out of his mother. How could he forget that his mother had begged to spend time with his father when he was younger… perhaps he had blocked all those memories out since he had to become the leader of the yakuza at a young age? “This was the Christmas where I found out I had cancer… I really wanted to spend time with him since my time was running out…”

The ghost shook her head and lead Hanayama back to his room once she felt as if he understood her point.

The ghost held Hanayama’s hand. “You’ve grown so much… you look just like your father.”

Hanayama went to hold the ghost but she pushed him back, “and you’re just like your father.”

“Wait! Please don’t go-“ the figure of his mother was gone in a flash which left him clutching his chest in sorrow. Why did his mom leave so fast… wasn’t she proud that he’s taken over the family? Why did she show him such an image?

“It’s been awhile, Hanayama.” Hanayama froze when he noticed the ghostly figure of Retsu standing at his door. “It seems that it’s my turn with you as the ghost of Christmas Present.”

Hanayama was silent in thought. Retsu had just passed away recently yet… why would he be here? Retsu had nothing to do with his life…

Retsu waved Hanayama to follow him and Hanayama obliged. The two walked in silence until they stopped in front of a small room in the furthest corner of the compound. Retsu placed a hand on the screen door which made it into a mirror that they could see inside… (your name) sat in her room violently coughing.

“You know I was her best friend when I was alive.” Retsu whispered as he turned to look at Hanayama. “She’s dying, you know.”

Hanayama froze in shock. (Your name) was dying… she was dying. Why hadn’t she told him she was sick? Why- Hanayama was drawn out of his thoughts when Retsu held up a hand. The Chinese man frowned at Hanayama. “You don’t listen to her so she’s never told you… she needs new lungs.”

Hanayama placed a hand on the doorway when he saw her hold up a handkerchief full of blood. She was so fragile… just like his mother. And he had been so cruel to her. How could he-

“I was planning on confessing to her once I beat Musashi.” Retsu shared with Hanayama as he went into the room and sat beside (your name). She obviously couldn’t see Retsu as she softly cried. “I was in love with her.”

Hanayama clenched his fists as he watched Retsu drape a blanket around (your name)’s shoulders which made her look around the room in surprise. The man turned to Hanayama with a frown. “But my own pride ruined everything… I just want her to be happy.”

“… did you come here to gloat in my face?”

“No. She didn’t feel the same way.” Retsu smiled at Hanayama as he combed his fingers through (your name)’s hair. The ghost smiled sadly. “It’s so unfair… she deserves so much better than you.”

Hanayama was offended despite how correct Retsu was… he truly didn’t deserve (your name). She was always kind and sweet to him despite how many times he pushed her away over the years. She was undaunted by his rejection and still tried to get to know him… he should give it another chance. He should do something wonderful for her tomorrow…

Retsu rested his ghostly head on (your name)’s shoulder with a sad sigh. He pressed a parting kiss to her shoulder which made her glance around the room in confusion. The man then lead Hanayama back to his room. “I’m sorry… my feelings started to get in the way of what I was meant to show you. You’ll be visited by one last ghost, the ghost of Christmas future.”

Hanayama went to say something to Retsu but he was gone in a flash. The yakuza stood in the center of the room in confusion. One more ghost… who on earth could that be?

Hanayama then felt a sudden chill run down his spine as the room before him melted away into that of a grave yard. A ghastly figure in a black cloak that covered their body floated into the room. A skeletal hand was placed on his shoulder while the other pointed at a gravestone with (your name)‘s name on it. No… (your name) would die? She couldn’t die… she was so young.

Hanayama didn’t even have time to think before the ghost snapped their fingers and showed Hanayama a much older of himself who sat hunched over his desk. The older version sobbing as he held his head. What on earth had happened?

“You never found love again after she died.” The ghost whispered into his ear. “You actually went insane with guilt and it made your yakuza family fall apart.”

Hanayama watched this foreign version of him chug down an entire bottle of whiskey as he held a picture in his hand… it was a wedding picture of him and (your name)… they were meant to get married in a few months… so this must be a few years from now.

“I didn’t know… I didn’t know…” the other version of Hanayama whispered as he pressed his forehead against the picture. “I’m so sorry… I’m sorry.”

Hanayama frowned at how his office was in disarray. This wasn’t like him at all… why on earth was his office so messy?

“She kept all your paperwork organized. She’d sneak into your office when you were asleep to try to help you out since you’re not every good with numbers.” The ghost chuckled bitterly. “She as such a stupid woman… falling in love with a man as selfish as you.”

Hanayama gasped when the ghost pulled up the hood over their head to reveal (your name). Except there was no warmness in her eyes nor was there her tender smile. Why did she look so cold… why did she look at him with such eyes full of resentment? She loved him…

“This is your future. My future.” The ghost told him with a sigh. “You have to change, Hanayama.”

Hanayama but his lip as he stared at the sobbing figure of his future self. He didn’t want to be so pathetic…

“What do I have to do?” Hanayama asked the ghost who frowned at him. She didn’t say a word as she walked away. Hanayama went to follow her but the hallways began to distort and show Hanayama a different ghost of (your name) who sat side by side with the ghost Retsu. They looked so happy… she wasn’t supposed to be with Retsu. She was his. “Wait! Where are you going?”

Many images of the way he’s treated his fiancée flashed by him as he hopelessly chased after the ghost. Her teary face and bloody handkerchief now haunted him… he didn’t want her to suffer anymore. “There’s nothing you can do.” The ghost told him as she gave him a soft smile that was eerily similar to the ones his (your name) gave him. “Now wake up.”

And that’s when Hanayama fell into a dark bottomless pit. The large man couldn’t even utter a sound before he woke up in his bed. His body was covered in sweat and his eyes were wide in horror. A nightmare…

Hanayama’s hands grabbed at his body in shock before he gave a laugh full of disbelief escaped him. He was alive… he was fine…

Hanayama shot out of bed and quickly made his way towards (your name)’s room. He had to make sure she was alive… he had to make sure she was okay.

Hanayama slammed the door open to (your name)’s room which scared the poor girl out of her wits. She was already dressed for the day and was shocked to see Hanayama in his pajamas.

“O-oh. I’m sorry. Did I do something wrong-“ (your name) was shocked when Hanayama pulled her into a hug. The giant man pressed kissed all over her cheeks with passionate fervor.

“I’m sorry. I’m sorry.” Hanayama chanted as he ran his thumbs over her soft cheeks. “Let’s spend Christmas together.”

(Your name) couldn’t utter a single word out before she was whisked out of her room and brought to the dining room she had always wanted to sit at with him. What was going on? Had Hanayama gone insane? She was going to leave him alone just like he had wanted… so why did he have this sudden change of heart.

Hanayama had his servants quickly prepare a gran breakfast for the two of them. His large hand held hers close to his chest. The yakuza boss pressed kisses all over her knuckles as he waited for their food.

“I won’t ever ignore you again. We’ll spend every meal together and you can move into my room…” Hanayama gave her a soft smile. “And I’ll pay for your medicine, okay? You can get that procedure-“

“I-I never told you I was sick.” (Your name) whispered as she tried to pull her hand away. “It’s okay. You don’t have to do anything for me-“

(Your name) gasped when Hanayama suddenly pulled her onto his lap and pressed his lips against hers in a searing kiss. His dark eyes never let hers. “Nonsense… I’m going to be a good fiancé from now on and an even better husband.”

Hanayama’s hands began to explore her curves as a different kind of hunger filled his eyes. “I’ll take care of your every need from now on… because you’re mine.”

Rather than change for the better, he had changed for the worse

Opinions on Yandere cheaters?

I saw a discussion on reddit about this trope, and I immidiatly went straight to your blog lolol. I dont know if you already have this question answered or if you ban this type of question but I am a bit curious! What specific scenerios would make a yan cheat? If they were somewhat redeemable, what actions would they do to be redeemable?

Straight to my blog? i'm honored, haha. I wouldn't ban a question like that because I generally am pretty open about how yandere can be like and it's always very cool when you think about what kind of things that yanderes can expand into that might be unconventional.

I can see why people don't really like the concept of yandere cheaters. One of the biggest appeals of yanderes is their undying loyalty and persistence, so having a yandere do something completely opposite to that basically turns people off from them. The joke is always, I can accept murder, confinement, amputation and obsession but I draw the line at cheating in the yandere community. Some people will not accept a character as a yandere if they cheat.

However, I personally do think there are some ways that yanderes can cheat and still become a yandere.

One way is to use it as a manipulation tactic. Even if the two are actually married or otherwise together, I can see a yandere cheating with someone else as a way to get them to react a certain way or to pay attention to them more. An example off the top of my head is from the machine translated mobile game Yandere Boyfriend Leo, where while Leo is in love with the main character, ends up dating her friend Grace as a way to get her jealous and eventually to give her so much stress that she loses her memory. I feel like a yandere can do this as a way to get their lover to do something, whether again, it is something relating to them getting attention, or simply a plan to get them to be confined for instance. The main thing is generally that the yandere is basically using them and has no interest in actually being together with them, since they only have eyes for their love. You can also see this in the Lifetime movie, Hush Little Baby, where the yandere, Owen, sleeps with another girl despite being in love with the main character Lauren as a way to make it seem like her husband is cheating and sew chaos in the family. Yes, it's a pretty awful way to get with their love interest, but I think people forget that yanderes are kind of supposed to be awful people a lot of times, and you liking them or disliking them doesn't always disqualify them from being a yandere.

Another way is basically their perception of love and sex and how that's handled. For a lot of people, having sex with another person while in a relationship is considered cheating, but it can differ from person to person. For instance, Kirishima from Raise wa tanin ga ii is kind of an example of this because while he does exhibit a lot of yandere actions like obsessiveness, tracking Yoshino on his phone, stalking her etc, he does spend a lot of beginning simply just sleeping with other women, despite the fact that he confesses his love towards her. This is one of the things that put a lot of people off of him because while the two of them are not dating or engaged, we generally don't see yanderes as someone who will sleep with others when they have someone that they're obsessed with. Still, we do see that Kirishima views sex and love pretty differently, as he mostly uses it for pleasure and doesn't have any romantic interest with any of the other girls he sleeps with, even talking to them about how much he loves and adores Yoshino after sleeping with them. I'm not the best analysist on this topic since I am kind of behind on the manga, but this reddit post does a pretty good job of explaining it.

Similar to above, sometimes the situation or time they are in forces them to be with someone else instead of the person they love. This is more of "this is for the sake of someone I love or care about " and less of the fact that they want to have more than one person by their side. One example of this is Dekiai Yakuza ni wa Amayakasarenai!, a manga about a body guard who is obsessed with the person that he's protecting. Despite this, we do see in the manga that he does sleep with another woman, though we also see that he does so reluctantly. This can be considered "cheating" in a sense like I stated before, but considering he's likely doing this for the sake of the person he loves, and doesn't enjoy it at all in the slightest. There is also The Little Princess and Her Monster Prince, specifically in the backstory of their reincarnation with Liontel and Phillip. Phillip was originally engaged to another girl named Ser but used her power so that he could be the emperor. He ends up not only causing Ser's husband to die, but also cages her and keep her locked up for the sake of protecting her. To maintain the idea that she's dead and to keep his status, he does actually marry another woman and had a child with her, but ultimately does so out of obligation as the king, as well as the fact that he very clearly doesn't love her. In these cases, the yandere is more or less forced into consequences where they don't really have control over what they want, and thus have to either sleep with or be married to someone else despite having someone that they love. This is another way I feel like a yandere can technically cheat without actually losing their status as a yandere. In a similar vein, if the yandere believes they can never be with their lover, they might try to get with others, but only has their lover at heart. Kylar for instance from DOL is considered a yandere, but based on the players actions, can sleep around and even date other players. This doesn't necessarily disqualify Kylar as a yandere, but rather the circumstances of the game (aka, not allowing murder) don't allow him to go all out, probably to make sure the player themselves is not locked in a choice when it comes to this kind of game.

I think that certain developments that lead to a yandere becoming a yandere can also be something that's explored. The easiest one of course is that they originally were cheating with other people but slowly develops feelings and obsessions for one person and gives up on his life of being a player, or even just using it more as a way to try to forget, or even maintain status, but their heart is always with the person that they love. There is also the fact that the yandere can be the one that the lover is cheating on with, like in Casual Flowers, if for some reason they can't get rid of their spouse or lover, sometimes that's the only way they can experience being with the other person. If they were possibly a redeemed yandere, where they go from yandere back to another person, they might end up with someone else entirely.

Personally, I think that it would be really funny if the yandere lost the person they loved and then forcibly projected them onto another person. Then they realized that their original love was actually alive. That would be both really funny and a hilarious situation with the yandere. If they're really delusional, they might not even recognize their original love or they could just abandon the other person that they loved instead.

It also depends on what you consider cheating. Are threesomes considered cheating? Is it cheating if their love is split into a bunch of different people and the person has to gather them all? Is it cheating if the yandere is immortal and keeps losing his memory so he keeps falling in love with different people? Is having a reverse harem considered cheating?

I'm sure there are other ways to have a yandere cheater in the story, but I can't really think of them. I'm not sure if you would consider this cheating since in most of these scenarios, the yandere and the lover aren't actually dating, so they still can be more fluid with their actions. Still, I think its a very fun thing to consider when writing yanderes.

Idia is still scared to bully anyone that isn't you, because you're such an easy target it rubs his ego in a nice way. You cower when he just as much mimics Leona or Vil's personality/voice to edge you, grinning wildly at your upset expression. You make this all too easy for Idia to play with, he's tested and studied your behavior, will you let sneak his hands under your shirt? Take his fingers down your throat?

Of course things go south with Idia, horny gripping his knee when you as much beg him to not expose the photos he secretly took while you showered. You let Cater keep some so why can't he >:( Still can't get over the fact he's rich! Idia using his status and wealth to get you to bend under his thumb, like the tweels and Azul, he finds a way to get you in need of some cash, the world is so cruel to useless things like you.

He can easily court you to stay with him, you're so interesting to him yet he treats you less. Pointing out your insecurities and telling you that eventually, they'll leave you to die one day. Not Idia, well, if that were to happen surely you wouldn't mind exchanging those fleshly limbs for something more hard.

He's enjoying Azul's reaction to you changing or showering, sure Azul has done these type of things but it's you! He really just hates you for no good reason, every word coming out of his mouth is utter bull, shouting that you should stay away from him and Malleus. Although, Malleus would be the one coming to you. Just breathing near him drives him crazy! You could be idly minding your business and cautiously looking around in fear, and Sebek would speed walk your way to give you your daily lecture. Your appearance is inappropriate, smeared lipstick and devilish hair; just came out of Malleus's room.

Sebek is a little slow at the moment, but he'll connect the pieces and good lord. He can't decide whether or not Malleus chose you or you're such an attention seeking whore. He's grabbing at your thighs and pulling them open to see if you and Malleus actually did do it.

He's ripping whatever you have that's in his way of spreading your legs, trying to shove a finger in to see if Malleus has...put his wonderful and precious seed in you!(lol i can't take this seriously) You're crying already, fist pounding at his head as you tell him that you didn't sleep with Malleus and that he was only teasing you. But was he really gonna believe you, luckily, whatever god there was heard your prayers. Sebek backs off, mentally preparing himself to get over the fact Malleus chose you.

This will create a routine of Sebek dragging you to someplace more private, a hand over your mouth as his fingers curl deep inside you to make sure you aren't fooling around with others. Malleus deserves to dirty his virginity to a lover who isn't willing to spread their legs to any man! But there are times where he lingers longer than usual, the excuse is that you probably didn't clean properly and he's certain that someone like you isn't all that pure. Not like he's any better.

Yanderes are at their best when they look out for or protect the MC and are fixated with them, so to hurt the MC is just an instant dislike for me as it defeats the purpose of their entire character.

I completely agree. A yandere that's violent towards their love interest just completely defeats the purpose for me now. Like, give me the 'I hate everyone BUT you' mixed with the 'touch them and I'll fucking kill you' tropes. That right there is peak yandere for me.

I LOVE the absolutely terrifying ones you KNOW not to mess with, but they're able to hide it well, and they would NEVER want to show that side to them to their love interest because they never want the love interest to be scared of them. Like, you can write an insane character without making them violent. You can write terrifying characters without having them act out, too. There's so many different takes and interpretations, to narrow it down and say only one form (the most violent at that) is better or acceptable over the others.... yikes...

Not really an ask but it's just so refreshing reading a Hades that's like not a yandere you know? Like this guy is my uncle but also we are dieties and (I haven't played the game in a while)I have a duty and he's just so chill for someone who governs the underworld? He has a child? Okay, I'm not the 1st person on his list! It's good he's a good dad, very hot. Also, he's fine with MC falling for another RO? No strings attached? No power play? I love you so much for making the Hades that made me fall in love with mythology history 🥺❤️❤️🥺

Well, technically in FoA he's not your uncle, fortunately. But yeah I sort of figured that, firstly, I wanted a portrayal of the Underworld, death, and Hades himself that wasn't just... stereotypically negative. It's fine if you like that kind of portrayal of course, but it's already out there, in many places I'm sure, and with the whole tone and vibe I wanted for the story it wouldn't have made sense.

Rather than 'darkness and death as evil' I wanted to try playing with the idea of these things and the people surrounding them as misunderstood, or at the very least misfits, doing the best they could with the lot they were given.

Plus like... the arranged marriage trope is one I think writers have to be careful with, particularly if there's a possibility there of love emerging from it (whether romantic or otherwise). It was very important to me that Hades not be the kind of person who would exploit the situation, nor try to use it to control the PC in any capacity. And yeah, definitely no drama from him if they bond more closely with someone else. To him that's just two people he's rather fond of connecting with each other, and what's to dislike about that?

Thanks for the ask (even though I dreaded this)... I don't really know much about tropes, and the wikis I read just now weren't that helpful, so I'll just try to explain in my own words somehow (I think I'm quite bad at this, so please bear with me)

...actually, I don't think it'd be possible to summarize them in tropes in the first place, since there can be a lot of them depending on how you act. In the first place, they will react completely different towards you, depending on whether you're more active or passive in your rom choices.

Yakov/Liliya: (may be) childhood friends to lovers; you can't be sure of what their true personality is, and they're reluctant to let anyone see, especially you (because they're afraid you might dislike it); if you're more active, they'll try to act cold/run away, even though they'll be desperate for you to catch them; if you're more passive, they'll try the same but'll be forced to come back on their own because they can't give up on you after all; in a same-sex dynamic, they'll do a lot of things to try and dissuade you from going their route, but as long as you don't give up, any reaction you choose to that will ultimately be successful (this is also the only route where you going complete yandere yourself is already fully mapped out)

Semyon/Selena: a dedicated green flag relationship; very supportive and protective; pretty much zero angst, they will never not be there for you; think Morkai from Soul Stone War (I love him so so much), but super calm and mature instead of grumpy

Mikhail/Marina: basically an easily-overexcited, nerdy pet; you're their only friend in the world; if you're more active, they'll be more shy and a bit tsundere; if you're more passive, they'll open up a bit more/act more cheerfully, since they'll suspect a kindred spirit; absolutely will pout if you don't give them enough attention

Leon/Leah: has absolutely no respect for you in the beginning; if you're more active, that will change, a lot; if you're more passive, they'll still see you as a puppet, but you'll be their puppet, and nobody is allowed to touch you; will also not really be able to bear manipulating you in any case, and will be quite weak to any request from you, so who's the puppet now?; not quite enemies-to-lovers, but maybe reluctant-allies-to-lovers/forced proximity

'Little' Semyon/Selena: is there a trope called fan-to-lover? it would fit; they idolize you completely; a classic guard-dog character, though they completely understate their own abilities because they compare them with their extremely over-the-top estimation of yours; tries to be your moral compass (but you can ignore that and break their heart by forcing them into doing bad things; they're too loyal to not do it, but they will suffer); the route where you can be the red flag

Nikola: the classic flirty, rebellious, [whatever the nb version of playboy is] character; will be very surprised to find out they can have lasting feelings for someone; also, my earliest character notes describe them as "cinnamon roll-murder hobo hybrid", so there's that

Rakhmil/Rakhilya: similar to Lyudmila in that they're really tired of all this shit and just want peace, but unable to give up on their cause; very chaotic route to take because of all the relationships they have with other characters; they betray their friends and family for you, and are consequently tortured by guilt - depending on how you deal with that, this is another route where you can be the red flag

Arseniy/Rozaliya: enemies-to-lovers, 100%; you are literally enemies on the battlefield; there are multiple opportunities where you can become their prisoner; absolutely despises you in the beginning; generally few but very intense encounters; also very slow-burn, you'll only get into an actual relationship with them towards the end

Lyudmila: love after marriage; even though it's kinda forced from your side ("marry me or die"), she stands by her decision and does her best to make it work; in the end, you'll not only be lovers, but also best friends (apart from being, you know, married)

Jan/Jana: master-servant relationship, slightly overprotective bodyguard, can't really deal with your affection at first since it seems like a violation of their duties; slightly yandere, but without possessiveness - the only thing on their mind is your well-being; wouldwill kill for you

brother crab's winter 2024 parting thoughts: high card s2

WHAT THE HELL

HIGH CARD IS GOOD?!

tl;dr very flashy and aesthetic, consistently good in that regard, but the story was not always gripping to me. however, with the ultimate payoff in the last three eps, totally worth it imo

full review:

wow wow wow i'm kind of glad i fell way behind on anime and had the last three eps of s2 to binge all at once because hoooly shit i enjoyed that immensely

at no point did i think high card was bad, but it definitely had moments where it didn't fully grab me. there were times when it felt like all flash, no substance

and it's definitely not perfect, i have some serious and fairly significant gripes with it. mainly i'm really bummed that leo, wendy, and vijay never really got fully fleshed out. i mean i get it, finn's the main character and chris is the thinly veiled love interest also important so obviously they're going to take up most of the time, but i really feel like the other members of the crew had so much unexplored potential (especially wendy and vijay, because leo did sort of get his moment as a factor in the old man yaoi situation)

speaking of which THE OLD MAN YAOI!! man there were a lot of moving pieces in this show, and sometimes they came together in messy ways (or didn't really come together at all... some bits do still feel pretty disjointed and jumpy to me, tbh)

but overall the payoff of the s2 finale was absolutely worth it to me, particularly since it dealt with my favorites of those moving pieces: the old man yaoi and the sudden YANDERE ONIISAN ARC

i find myself really wishing the show had gone harder on both of those threads sooner, but like... honestly i'm not disappointed with how they played out. the whole theodore and ban thing could not have been more tropey (YEARS of loathing only for a "the one i wanted to protect all along was... you" and then dying for each other like HELLO yes an absolute tropefest BUT TROPES THAT I LOVE. GOOD FOR THOSE TOXIC DOOMED YAOI MFERS)

tilt has always been fascinating to me right from the character design and i am more or less satisfied with how things played out for him too, though i kind of wish we'd had more of this development spread throughout the series. i guess it was there, but... i dunno. in some ways feels like there could have been More (but i may be biased)

like you gotta feel bad for him, it's a sad story, but also that extreeemely creepy unhinged yandere oniisan "i have been stalking you i literally have a wall with giant blown up photos of you i hate the other guy who is calling himself your brother" sequence was SO FUCKING DELICIOUS LIKE WTF??? stunned and absolutely blown away by how hard they went on that, what a delight

(ironically it makes me think about how unhinged matakara in bucchigiri?! just doesn't work while unhinged tilt in high card works super well, but this is not about bucchigiri?! so i won't get too into that)

i am still admittedly just. kind of like. idk. i go back and forth on finn and chris, as characters and as partners. i don't dislike them but they aren't always all that compelling to me. sometimes they definitely are, but sometimes they just fall a bit flat to me. this probably isn't an issue with them as characters, though, just a matter of taste. i occasionally found the chemistry between them lacking as well, but sometimes it was really on point

same feeling about the crew dynamics in general. i looove a good like heist crew or spy agency crew, whatever it is, when the dynamics just click. and sometimes they didn't, here. i am too sleepy to articulate it properly right now but it just felt like there was something missing, some pieces not really fitting together. i didn't dislike any of the characters, but just... i guess wanted more team shenanigans? maybe there was no time for that but it would have been nice (like this is one show that could have done with a few filler and/or fluff episodes, imo!)

anyway. christ. my eye emoji-ing at tilt based solely on his character design finally paid off after two gay ass seasons lmao. good night

Helloo!! I'm brazilian and i'm still learning english so forgive me for any grammar mistakes. I've gotten all endings (i guess- please let me know if i missed anything!) so here's my review of Perfect Love! ♥

I loved this game sooo much! I never played an visual novel with a mean main character and it was just amazing. The trope of ''us'' being the actual villains is very interesting and it made the game super unique! It's also pretty obvious the amount of effort and hard work that's in the game, I was impressed by the quality of it all.

The music and sound effects are pretty good, I loved it all! The artstyle is very pleasing to look at and the black/white/grey contrast with Milo's blue/red eyes are such a nice touch too. I also loved the amount of easter eggs (you couldn't imagine the face I made when I named myself 'Ren') and secret endings/scenes.

Fortunately, when I first played, I knew nothing about the game nor about Milo (which I believe made the experience better since everything turned out to be surprising) and the endings were really good. Through the gameplay, I've encontered one grammar mistake (which I forgot to screenshot it, sorry) and one sprite glitch but nothing that made me annoyed.

After finishing the 8 main endings, I decided it was time to look a little bit on the official Tumblr's page of the VN and that's when I decided to test out all of the easter eggs and that's when I discovered the secret scenes.

So, to summary it all: absolutely 10/10! I can't remember the last time I had so much fun playing a game and being so invested in unlocking all of it's content! I was flabbergasted when I lost all of my endings heh

Please let me know if I missed anything- I'd be more than happy to clear the game entirely.

Hello there! I love reviews. On my other blog I always write recommendations/reviews for other vns, so I'm always open to seeing what people like and dislike about the game. I hope you don't mind that I'm just gonna mash these two asks into one ask.

Thank you! I also think that a lot of vns don't always focus on being the bad guy in the story and those that do I usually enjoy quite a lot! I'm glad you like the quality of it, it was a lot of fighting renpy and it's UI because I have a one sided rivalry with the base renpy UI. I tried to make it look good though I think I maybe should have attempted to redraw some of the sprites for Milo (for like the third time).

For the art style itself, I actually did it in black and white because it was originally for the 2023 yanjam and I wanted to make a style that wouldn't be extremely tiring for me, and I really like lineart so I made everything in black and white (and also because I'm lazy, I say as I animate half of my assets). The red and blue really make it pop at the end since it's one of the few time color is used in the game. I love when people put easter eggs in their game and I know of a lot of yandere vns so I wanted to put in a ton! I'll probably put in even more in the update when I get all of the extra stories done because putting easter eggs like that is very fun.

Having no knowledge of a game is always a good way to be surprised about the premise and I think it definitely was something good in your case too! For the grammer/ sprite errors if you do ever play or remember what they were, please let me know. I'll try to fix it in the next update if possible.

It's always so nice seeing that people like my game though! I tried my hardest to make it a worthwhile experience and considering it's (technically) my first game, it really makes me happy to see that people really like it! Hopefully it doesn't have too much of the first game amatureness that tends to come (nothing wrong with it, but I hopefully have showcased I kind of know what I'm doing, I say, sweating profusely) .

Yup! That is all of the scenes in the game so far. At least that you can access. If you look inside of the code, I actually have two scenes that I put in there. One of them is pretty much a test scene featuring the character from the next game I'm making, and the other is a special scene where you go to Milo's apartment. You can't access those in the main game, but you can play them if you edit the code a bit.

Basically (for those who don't know), all you have to do is put "jump" and then the name of the label afterwards (so for instance if the label is "rabbit" you would put "jump rabbit") after label start in the code. The two scenes that are not accessable in the game are the last two scenes in the script.rpy file just to make it easier for you. (I put a note that says like "#I'm very dedicated to my craft I say as I disect Milo and then beat him with a stick" because I'm sorry Milo, you deserve better)

But in short, or if you just don't feel like reading this one, I'm not a big fan of Fgod. Like, the concept is good, is has a belivable motive and story and all that, but it's just not something for me. However, if it just existed I wouldn't complain, it would be just another iteration of Error and I don't mind those. But it's everywhere and I hate it. It's always the same story, it's boring, plus there must be some people who believe it's the true canon Error due to how popular it is and I don't like it. Oh, and also I hate seeing Error as a god which this Au of course presents him as. He's not a god, he's literally just a dude who can die like any other and is not immortal in canon. However, I admit, it's a useful concept and I use it sometimes when I don't feel like making Error more complex. I just slap a "he destroys because he must" label and call it a day. So in short: the concept is good although not something for me, and I dislike that it's so overused. If you like Fgod Error good for you people, really! But I can't say that I like it. Out of the two I definitely like canon Error more.

2. Ahh Bad Sans Poly is always good, isn't it? And a yandere one you say? Hmmm, I can get behind this concept, though I need to be in a specific kind of mood to apprecaite it fully, believe me, I went through this before and I did write at least one yandere story (this was for Insomnia though). Though how would it look like with a poly? Everyone is yandere for everyone? Anyway, I do like it :].

3. !!! Listen, lIstEn, I once saw this drawing of exactly that. Bad Sans Poly and they are yandere for Error and IIIII loved it (I'll try to find the artist later and see if I can repost it here). It might be unexpected, but I usually actually like Error being the yandere one in the ship, or just the one being obsessed with the other person minus the controlling behaviour or just lessened. I don't know why, but yandere Error?? Sing me the f up. Anyway, of course it's up to you but this sounds like a lovely fanfic idea, not to mention that it's Bad Sans Poly bby! My truest OTP. I don't want to brag, but I feel like I made this poly a bit more popular with my writing and I couldn't be happier, beacuse more people need to appreciate it WITH ERROR IN IT.

bakugou (these two are obvious, lol. deku is my ultimate favorite hands down, even if bkg's arc and characterization appeal to me more)

dabi (through sheer backstory alone. i feel like his character was built up well and the reveal wasn't like .. shocking or anything, but was really impactful regardless. it enhances the entire todoroki fam drama i was already eating up before!!! every time i learn more about him and his history, i like him more LOL. hard to explain how i like him exactly, but reading through his backstory chapters is a guilty pleasure of mine. doesn't help that i can relate to him. lol. el oh el.)

uraraka (i think i like my interpretation of her more than her canon character, though. i can't tell what hori is doing with her rn so i'm basing my liking of her off of what i think he's doing? which is making her a subversion of the love interest trope and making her attraction to deku a mere stepping stone for her own development. i also really like her design and quirk hehe)

kirishima (kirishima backstory is one of my favorites; insecure, down on himself, overall average and dorky guy wants to better himself because he's inspired by those in his life. his view on masculinity is also very fun and comforting, a break from "strong must mean stoic" bullshit u'd expect from a character whose quirk is the embodiment of strength. i like canon kiri more than fanon kiri though .. sometimes i feel like fanon detracts from his character a lot lol)

hawks (ever since i realized his character literally represents "a caged bird" my appreciation for him went up 100% ... he's a little fucked up ... but what can he say ... he's an optimist!)

shouto (pretty hard to dislike him. he was higher on my list before, but he sunk a bit after my appreciation for other characters grew. it's not that i like him less though!!! just waiting for something crazy to happen with him so my love will skyrocket again)

toga (exciting character who's a play on the yandere character trope! i like how her arc connects to ochako's and the "chemistry" they have. still think toga confessing to deku out of nowhere was goofy as hell but that's neither here nor there. i feel like a lot of ppl like toga just bc of how she looks and her personality, and i'm ... not immune to that LOL it's indeed really fun to witness)

and everyone past this is relatively equal to each other, imo. there's so many characters in mha that it's nearly impossible to parse through all of them and pick my top 10. so i picked 8 that stick out to me for their own reasons, characters i find genuinely interesting and that i read the series for

not to mention, a lot of characters don't really hold much weight at all, especially compared to the protags. hence there's less of an actual reason why i like them, and it moreso falls on their design or vibes. i don't really dislike many characters either — either i like them or i'm neutral to them, aka they're fine, they just don't take up much thought. i only hate characters that are insultingly unnecessary, like mineta

Thought #1: The yandere trope would be a really poor fit, same as "he drinks to drink away his sorrows (broodingly)". Add "villain who needs love to reform himself" to that list.

Overall, I'd lean towards more mature characters, who have their stuff (mostly) sorted out. Not the constant-walking-festival-slash-soap-opera-of-a-person, not oh-convince-me-i-am-worthy-of-even-existing-(we-are-going-to-spend-the-next-15-chapters-pretending-i-don't-love-you), and probably not the i-am-your-boss-but-also-a-major-major-BRAT.

I think it'd lean towards characters who'd be ready to settle down, and who'd be competent enough to live on their own. They should know what is important to them, why exactly that is the case, and what compromises they may be willing to make. Generally, I think it'd be better if they had rather balanced approach towards most things -- after all, given all its complexity, it is hard to see the world as purely black-and-white.

+Emotionally mature, with good understanding of the fact that relationships are both give and take. +"Love is a choice that needs to be made daily" sort of mindset - good idea on why effort matters (and that effort doesn't necessarily need to be some grand gestures).

Suggested Characters: Shingen (IkeSen), Sasuke (IkeSen), Comte (IkeVamp), Theo (IkeVamp; maybe? He has some potential), Leon (IkePri; maybe? He does lean towards "boyish" on the charm scale...), Rio (IkePri; maybe? As before).
