another sunny day — i. rin
handcuffed together + matchmaking gone wrong
synopsis. rin doesn't get how his "friends" can come up with such insane ideas. like, seriously. or: blue lock tries to play matchmaker with a flustered loser and their terribly unfriendly teammate.
wc. ~1.1k
— for @jenoutof10 🤞 | event masterlist ✉️
Tumblr media
"don't be mad, but..."
rin's eye twitches.
4 words. 4 measly words is all it takes for his blood pressure to start rising. that, and the fact that isagi can't meet his bloodthirsty gaze.
in all the time that he's had the displeasure of knowing these morons, he's come to know one simple fact: nothing good ever happens when they break news starting with 'don't be mad'.
before his teammates can even get a chance to explain further, rin interjects.
"you lost it, didn't you? you fucking lost it."
bachira's lips just press into a thin line, mischief missing from his expression where it usually permanently dances. now, he just looks utterly terrified and a little guilty.
"hey, but there are worse people to be cuffed to!" bachira nervously states. and at that, all eyes land on you.
you'd been hoping that maybe rin's temperment would have drawn all attention away from you right now—that they at least wouldn't have to witness the absolute despair in your face realizing you've been cuffed to your long-term crush for an indefinite amount of time.
but their eyes are heavy on you, trying to scrutinize your reaction. you want nothing more than the ground to open up and swallow you whole.
the chains connecting you jingle impossibly loud as silence fills the room. you flounder slightly, caught off guard by the collective weight of everyone's eyes, and rin seems to understand how dire your situation is. he quickly gathers everyone's attention back to himself.
"you all better crawl on your hands and knees until you find that fucking key."
to think that an entire group of people could have gone through with something so stupid—rin doesn't get how his "friends" can come up with such insane ideas. like, seriously. handcuffing the two of you together as a last ditch attempt to solve the last puzzle of their escape room? he would probably be laughing at their idiocy if he wasn't the one locked to your side right now.
and why him, of all people? was it so obvious that he was maybe, kind of, sort of a little into you? no, impossible. he's incredibly good at hiding his feelings for you, so much that he's completely stone-faced while you're busy panicking beside him.
what should have been an innocent team-building exercise put together by their calm and collected manager has suddenly turned you into a blithering fool and him into a cranky asshole.
he'd always had suspicions that you'd liked him, never able to look him straight in the eye without fidgeting and messaging him out of the blue for seemingly insignificant reasons. ("did you try the new garigari-kun flavour?" or "i saw this cat that reminded me of you," and even "did you eat dinner yet?")
if you had told his teammates, you made a grave error. a fatal mistake. because they were all half-wits who would want nothing more than to try playing cupid, and he knows that only they could come up with a plan so stupid and still claim it to be foolproof.
frantically searching for the key, they get to work scouring the floor and drawers—anywhere they could have left it in the last twenty minutes. he takes the opportunity to focus on his breathing, as his therapist had advised him to do when he was feeling overwhelmed with emotion.
"you okay?" rin asks quietly, lathering a hand down his face in exasperation. you hum nervously, clutching yourself instinctively. it draws his hand closer to your body but he doesn't mention it, instead letting it dangle limply in front of you. the warmth emanating from you makes him realize just how frazzled you are.
he decides he should guide you to the next room where it's quieter, all the puzzles already solved and abandoned. he sits you down on the sofa, standing in front of you with your hands connected in the middle.
"what if we're locked together forever?" you murmur.
rin looks at you in confusion, perplexed by your sudden loss of functioning brain cells. you were always so rational, it's strange to see you so...
you meet his intense stare and the rest of his train of thought derails into a disastrous dumpster fire.
"i... don't think that'll happen."
"but what if we are?"
"there are worse people i could be locked to."
silence suffocates you. rin blinks at you, but doesn't back down as you fumble over your own tongue.
"you think so?" you finally manage out.
god almighty, you need to break this eye contact before he shrivels up and dies. okay, so maybe his feelings for you aren't entirely miniscule, but that doesn't mean he's going to get any enjoyment out of this.
he scoffs, gesturing to the next room. "at least it's you and not them."
you sputter in embarrassment, hand yanking toward your face as you try and cover your cheeks with your palms. his hand follows, nearly smacking you in the nose but you don't seem to care or even notice.
he slowly seats himself beside you, dragging your conjoined hands back between your bodies and settling on the couch.
"i hate this," you admit. "it feels claustrophobic."
rin knows exactly what you mean. your hand is inches away from being in his—he can hardly breathe. he would rather eat natto every day for the rest of his life than come to terms with that, though, so instead he just sneers at you funny.
"you have claustrophobia?"
"i just mean that we're so close right now."
"so?"
you gulp loudly. "and—" you sigh, breaths shaking. "well, you're sort of right. i guess it could be worse."
"...you're weird," he tells you.
your lips quirk up into a tiny smile, so small that he would have missed it if he weren't chained to your side right now. for a moment, he almost forgets all about why he's even in this situation in the first place.
"sorry," you stammer, fingers fumbling around with the hem of your sweater. "i hope they find that key soon."
he stares at you for a few more seconds, tries to trace the outline of your face with his eyes and memorize the curve of your smile.
"yeah," he lies. "me too."
Tumblr media
("is it working?"
"i don't know, i can't hear them!"
"shh," chigiri hisses. "i'm trying to listen!"
rin puts his head into his hands at their volume, bringing your hand along with his motion. he glares in their direction, catching a glimpse of his team stacked on top of each other as they peer into the room.
"idiots..." he mutters. you look at him, puzzled. "i'm surrounded by idiots.")

4:23 pm | the adventures of dad!gojo
Tumblr media
content: 0.9k words, fem!reader, dad gojo, megumi is your son, silly crack fic
Tumblr media
gojo satoru is a man with very little fears.
in actuality, people are afraid of him. a mere gaze from those cerulean blue eyes of his sends people running off to the opposite direction, so the adjective “intimidating” was quite the understatement to describe him. some might even say that he’s the strongest, so he possesses no fear at all.
despite that, gojo has one thing he’s deathly afraid of: you–his wife, when you’re angry.
“suguru, help me out here!” geto can physically feel his bestfriend’s panic through the phone. gojo explained the situation in a fast ramble–geto could barely understand what he was saying, but he thinks he got the gist of it: you went out to run some errands and entrusted gojo to take care of your two year old child, megumi, while you were out. gojo conjured up the genius idea of keeping megumi entertained by handing him a paper and markers–so that they could surprise you with megumi’s amazing artistic abilities once you came back home.
it had gone “so well”, gojo said earlier, picking up the paper and studying it. “i think this is a drawing of a cat? or a dog, i don’t really know.. still, it’s made by my son, and it’s the peak of art and i think everyone should see it!”
gojo was so busy trying to decipher what megumi had drawn that he didn’t realize that his son still had the markers in his hands. when he peers over to look at megumi again, he just about screamed.
“gumi- no- GUMI!” he shrieks, snatching the markers away from his son’s hold. megumi, not having a paper to draw on anymore, decided to use the wall as his canvas instead—sketching a poorly drawn house with a bright red marker. “you’re not supposed to draw on the wall! aw fuc-ahem, freak… your mom’s gonna kill me…”
“gosh suguru, some advice would help!” satoru’s never been so afraid in all his years of living. you’re coming home pretty soon, and he has no idea what to do. he’s already imagining the look on your face–and it’s pushing satoru to the brink of passing out. gojo satoru–the renowned sorcerer who’s fought the king of curses, been sealed away in a box and has had multiple near death experiences–all of these things have happened to him yet none can compare to the fear of facing his wife when she’s angry.
“hmm? what is it, nanako?” satoru can hear his bestfriend trying not to laugh over the phone. suguru knows an easy solution to his problem, but he thinks that leaving satoru in the dark is funnier. it’s rare to see the strongest sorcerer like this, so geto revels in it with pure amusement. “you’re hungry? okay… let’s see what i can make for you, yeah?”
“you heard her, satoru~ one of the twins are hungry. i’m afraid i have to go… good luck about the markers, yeah?” suguru hangs up before satoru could say a word. he curses under his breath, but feels his heart stop when he hears the door unlock.
you’re home.
“mama!” megumi yells, clapping his hands and slowly crawling over to the front door. you happily greet your son, placing the grocery bags on the table.
you walk over to your husband, kissing him on the cheek before noticing the piece of paper that he’s holding. “oh? what’s this?”
you grab the paper from his hands and satoru regains a little bit of his composure once he hears you coo at your son’s drawing. “thought it would be nice for me and megumi to surprise you while you were gone… it’s a drawing of a cat-”
“horsey!”
“...a horse. yup, that’s what i said!” he sheepishly ignores his son’s glare, mentally preparing himself to tell you about the wall.
“i love it! oh my gosh, megumi, aren’t you just a little artist?” you say, ruffling your son’s hair with a big smile. “this is definitely going on the fridge.”
“...there’s one small problem, though…” satoru refuses to meet your gaze.
“what did you do this time, satoru?”
“hey, it technically wasn’t me!” he says, this time being the one to shoot the glare at his son. “so hypothetically…what if i told you that gumi thought it would be a nicer idea to use the wall as a canvas instead of the paper?”
“...”
satoru perceives your silence as his death sentence. “look, i’m sorry! i was trying to figure out what he drew and i forgot that he still had the markers in his hands-”
“satoru-”
“and the next thing i know, he drew on the wall before i was able to take the markers from him-”
“toru-”
“and suguru wasn’t giving me advice either, but then-”
“satoru!” your final yell finally breaks him from his ramble. he’s surprised to see that no, you don’t have a look of murder on your face. in fact, you’re actually smiling—looking more amused than anything.
“satoru, they’re washable markers.” you take a baby wipe from your purse and walk over to the wall, wiping away the bright red marker strokes easily with a few swipes. you’re trying not to laugh at his dumbfounded expression. “did you not know that?”
now he’s the one stunned into silence. “...”
“no, no… i definitely knew that…!”
“yeah, sure you did.”
being a father is so difficult.

Our Strengths
"What do we do now? Tucker asked. His voice cracking with stress and worry as he stared at the scene before him not able to look away as his best friend and his family were being dragged out of their home.
Danny cuffed in anti-ghost cuffs and knocked the heck out with a ecto-gun pointed at his skull by one of the GIW agents, they eventually tossed Danny into their van that was parked right outside the Fenton Works. Jazz was pleading, begging them to let her brother go, even though she too was cuffed and not caring that another gun was at her back. Maddie was hissing like angry feral mama cat at the two agents, ignoring the other two that were holding her shoulders to keep her from squirming around and saying "you dare touch a single hair on my babies I will rip-" before she too was lead away to the GIW van. The last to come out was Jack and he looked haunted and stressed, and despite being a huge guy he was trying to make himself look small. He too was sent into the van, and one of the last things Tucker could see before the doors close was Jack kneeling down next to Danny and going to cradle him but being stopped by the GIW agent in the van.
Sam chewed on her lip, her eyes wide and wild as she tried to think of... well anything to save her friend and his family from this.
To think Vlad would be so petty after Danny finally told his parents about being Phantom and them accepting and loving him regardless and even apologizing for trying to hurt him that he would go and tattle to the GIW about Phantom.
Danny hadn't even told them about Vlad being a halfa either. Not even a bit. All Danny told them was that Vlad made him super uncomfortable. About how the guy seemed obsessed with his mom but seemed to be shifting his obsession to him.
And for once Jack listened, especially after Maddie finally told him the times the man flirted with her and had even tried getting her to leave Jack. With only Danny. No mention of Jazz, only Danny.
After that Jack turned papa bear mode.
Say what you will about Jack Fenton but his love for his family outweighs any kind of friendship.
So yeah Vlad finding himself being 'cut out' of the Fenton's lives, realizing the only times he could even get close to Maddie and Danny was because Jack was always welcoming to him, and finding out Jack point blank said he no longer wanted him around his family, he raged and decided to get back at Danny was to go tell the GIW about him being Phantom.
No doubt the creep was going to show up later, 'save' them and start making demands or indebt them to him.
And now here they were. The Fenton's, after being told about Phantom, were being unjustified hauled away by the GIW while all of Amity watches from the streets and despite the protest from, mostly teens, Amity Parkers no one could do anything with both weapons pointed at them or the 'law' decree.
Closing her eyes, Sam took a breath. When she opened them back up she finally looked away as the van and the rest of the GIW began to leave, her hands clutched so tight that her knuckles were turning a deadly white. When she finally released her grip she felt something in her hand.
Confused, Sam opened her hand and gasped as she recognized a familiarish green sticky note and words written in purple ink. She's never read any of the sticky notes CW would send Danny but she has seen them appear out of no where.
She read the note, ignoring Tuckers questioning, and once done she snapped her head to look at him. It was so fast that Tucker jumped for a second. Her eyes were alight with a new found kindle of hope, determination, and a plan.
"Sam? What is it?" Tucker finally asked once more, he had a feeling whatever she had in mind was going to be insane but if it sent by CW and meant to save his best friend he'd do it.
"We play into our strengths and get some help." She said as she brought the sticky note up for him to see.
"Help? From who?" Tucker asked as he took the note and instantly noticed the drawn symbols on the bottom. When he snapped his head back up to look at Sam his mouth fell open and he said in shock, awe, and disbelief "No. No way. Them? But I thought-"
"Gonna stop you right there Tucker. Remember what Dani told us last month? About that new under the radar teen hero group?" Sam cut in.
"OOoooh. Them.... Yeah I can totally get behind asking them over asking the adults." Tucker responded, his mind coming up with a plan as the sticky note words played into his head 'Use your strengths'
"Good we have no time to loose. I'll contact Dani to find out where we can find their base, you get ready to hack and find what you can so I can use it to help... persuade them into helping us."
-x-x-
Young Justice was having a normal, well as normal as a bunch of super-powered and very well trained teens could have day.
Or at least it was until their comms and entire system were hacked by an unknown hacker, a goth girl appearing on their main sceen and her saying this
"Hey, Young Justice right? Look I'll be blunt about this. We need help, our best friend and his family got taken by some shady government jerks that wanna experiment on him and we need to save them. It's a long story. However, we do not like the JL too much and don't trust them, we have our reasons, so to make sure you don't go crying to them, we're taking your systems hostage and blackmailing you with things our hacker found out." Her eyes narrowed at them, her face in a scowl and it left no room for negotiations at all, she was determined to get things her way "So that's the deal. Help us save our best friend and his family while not letting the JL know, and we let go of your systems and forget about what we found out."

You know how cats seem to have an innate sense of when you’re about to get up, and they choose that exact moment to sit down on your lap? And no sooner have they made themselves comfortable than you realize that you have to go to the bathroom, or someone calls you over, or the phone starts ringing, and you have to shove the poor cat off your lap?
That’s basically Eddie’s sex life right now.
Well alright, no, not entirely, but – it’s a component that’s certainly starting to become an irritation.
It’s just that Steve has a wonderful lap.
At least, Eddie assumes it’s wonderful. It’s wonderfully inviting, at the very least; it’s wide enough to offer Eddie (who is not quite as generously endowed in the whole… thighs-ass department, he’ll admit) a good seat, and he’s had his hands on the area often enough to know it’s firm but with just the right amount of give to be very comfortable.
But Eddie’s never actually gotten to spend much time on it.
He doesn’t even mean that in a sexual way (although that much is also true). Every time he’s so much as tried to plop himself down on Steve’s lap to do something as innocent as watch a movie, Steve seems to remember something he needs to get up and do within just a few minutes.
For a little while, Eddie had been worried about what that meant. Did Steve not want to spend time with him? Did Steve not want Eddie near him? Did Steve not find him attractive? Did Steve just find him annoying?
But further time spent together has given Eddie more confidence. Clearly Steve enjoys spending time with him—submits to it willingly and often—and does find Eddie annoying but in a way he enjoys. Steve also most definitely finds Eddie attractive (and, in fact, has no trouble at all spending extended time on Eddie’s lap). So at this point, it’s more of a puzzle. A frustration.
It can’t be that Eddie’s too heavy for him; Eddie isn’t a small guy, really, but he isn’t huge, either. He’s seen Steve push and pull bigger people around – hell, he’s seen Steve carry Mike a good ways through the woods and back to the car after the kid had slipped and twisted his ankle when they’d been out walking (an incident which none of them are allowed to speak of ever, for varying reasons of blackmail and dignity), and he’s not too much smaller than Eddie.
Eddie is nothing if not a direct sort of guy, though – if he’s thinking something, he’s going to say it. This is mostly because he has very little brain-to-mouth filter, but he’s learned to make it part of his image. He’s pretty sure it works for him.
All of this to say that one afternoon, as they make out on Steve’s couch, Eddie freshly settled on Steve’s lap, Eddie decides to just… ask.
He waits until he can feel Steve’s hands sliding down around his thighs—not groping, but with the intent to move him—before he pulls back to say anything.
“Hey,” he says—gasps, really, still a little breathless with his attempt to seize the opportunity, “question.”
Steve blinks up at him, startled. “Uh. Shoot.”
“Do you not like it, when I sit on your lap? Because it kinda seems like you find other places to be when I try to make that happen.”
If Steve had been startled before, that’s nothing on how he looks now. He covers it in an instant, but Eddie’s seen it; Steve’s good, he’s very good, but Eddie is literally right in his face.
“What?” Steve pulls back, brows drawn in confusion. “No. Why would I have a problem with you being in my lap?”
Eddie shrugs. “Not a damn clue. That’s why I figured I’d ask. It’s just that whenever I get myself settled here, you suddenly remember you have to get up.”
“I don’t do that,” Steve scoffs, throwing in a good-natured eye roll.
“You kinda do, babe,” Eddie says, keeping it light; this isn’t an argument, nor an accusation – it’s literally just a question, and he doesn’t want to scare Steve off.
“So you’re saying, that every time I have my boyfriend on my lap – a guy I find insanely hot, by the way,” Steve’s hand slide back up Eddie’s thighs, edging towards his ass, and this time he’s groping, “you’re saying I don’t want him there, is that right?”
Eddie’s resolve almost breaks as Steve stares up at him with his ridiculous, pretty eyes (he’s good, he’s very good, Eddie will give him that) and tugs him closer with his ridiculous, strong hands, but he knows Steve is lying. He knows it.
He just doesn’t know why.
And isn’t that interesting? Eddie wouldn’t exactly call Steve an open book, but they know each other pretty well by now; Eddie can usually read Steve, but he has no idea what he’s thinking just at the moment.
So he decides to allow it.
He’ll see where it goes.
“Hm,” Eddie hums, as if he’s thinking. “That does sound a little silly, if you put it like that.”
“Completely silly.” Steve grins up at him, but there’s a thread of very genuine sincerity in what he says next. “Of course I want you here.”
And Eddie’s not sure what to say to that, so he leans back in to kiss Steve again.
And for a while, it’s fine. Great, even. Steve is a very good kisser, after all, and Eddie likes to think he’s no slouch himself, and a good time is being had by all, except before too long Eddie can feel Steve starting to tense up under him.
Once again, Eddie doesn’t mean this in a sexual way.
It’s not the fun, anticipatory kind of tensing, but the ready to run or punch something kind of tensing. The kind of tension that comes from a threat, not from having your boyfriend on your lap.
Eddie waits to see if Steve will do anything, say anything, but he does nothing. His kisses grow more distracted, quicker and shallower, but he doesn’t pull away. He doesn’t push Eddie away.
It’s when Steve starts shaking that Eddie gives up.
“Okay,” Eddie pulls away, shifting himself to the side so he doesn’t have more than an ankle draped over Steve’s legs, “what’s wrong?”
“What do you mean, what’s wrong? You’re the one who pulled away,” Steve snaps.
“Yeah, because it feels like you don’t want me up there,” Eddie shoots back.
Steve rolls his eyes again, irritated this time. “What, you don’t like it if I don’t let you sit on my lap, you don’t like it if I do let you sit on my lap– What the fuck do you want from me?”
“Maybe just the goddamn truth.”
Whatever Eddie expects, it isn’t for Steve to just… stare at him.
He stares at Eddie for a good five seconds in full silence before shaking his head. “No,” he says quietly, “you don’t want that.”
His sudden reticence only sparks Eddie’s irritation. “Don’t tell me what I do or don’t want, Steve. You don’t want to tell me, that’s on you, but don’t decide for me what I don’t want to know.”
“Well what do you think you’re going to hear, Eddie, huh?” Steve barks. “What do you want to hear? You wanna hear how Billy Hargrove sat on me – pinned me down while he beat me unconscious? Or you wanna hear how it felt to be handcuffed to a fucking chair while some Russians– while they– how it felt to be held down and not be able to stop them from doing anything?”
Steve has stood up now, pacing in front of Eddie, and Eddie wishes he could do anything other than fucking stare while his boyfriend has some kind of breakdown that he started.
“Or – or how about how I ruined multiple dates, or hookups, or whatevers when someone tried to sit themselves down on top of me and I damn near shoved them off onto the floor and then had to make up some dumb fucking excuse and run out on them before I had some kind of fucking panic attack? You wanna hear all that?” Steve demands, rounding back on Eddie. “No! You don’t… you don’t want to hear that.”
“Steve… no, I don’t wanna hear all that,” Eddie says, and hurries on when he can see Steve practically crumple in on himself, “I don’t want to hear that all that horrible shit has happened to you, but I need to.”
“Wh– what?”
“You don’t… I mean, you don’t have to give me specifics if you don’t want, but I need to know what might set you off so I don’t accidentally do it, okay?” Eddie says. “It fucking terrifies me that you went through all that, and I know I can’t do anything about it, but I’m at least not going to be one more thing that makes you hurt. I’m gonna make damn sure of that.”
“…Oh.”
It’s clearly not what Steve was expecting to hear, and for a moment he shifts uncertainly in front of Eddie. He wraps his arms around himself before seeming to think better of it and crossing them over his chest instead. Eddie wants nothing more than to draw him close and hold him, but Steve’s not quite ready yet.
“I’m not… I didn’t want to say anything. I don’t want it to be an issue,” Steve finally says.
I don’t want you to treat me differently, he doesn’t say.
“Then we won’t make it an issue.” Eddie shrugs. “You got some kind of trauma associated with sitting on other people, or can you come back over here to me?”
Steve blinks at Eddie, startled, before he gives in to a little huff of laughter, slowly crossing back over to the couch.
“You’re an ass,” he says, all fondness.
“Mm, so I’ve been told,” Eddie says, aiming a smug smile up at Steve as Steve settles himself right over Eddie’s lap. “And yet, here you are.”
“Yeah…” Steve leans in, pressing a quick kiss to the corner of Eddie’s mouth, quirking a little smile as he pulls away. “Here I am.”

Puppy Love
Pairing: Bucky x F!reader
Warnings: Angst and fluff
Length: 1.1k
Summary: You have a surprise for Bucky and Alpine
A/N: I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for a while so here it is! Do we want a pt 2?
Edit: Pt. 2 can be found here!
I do not give consent for my work to be translated, copied, or sold!
Tumblr media
You know what you were doing was probably wrong. Keeping a secret this big could crumble your relationship. You know that you would make not only your boyfriend mad, but also your cat. But you couldn’t help yourself. It would benefit your family in the long run but it would take time and patience.
You walk into your shared apartment with Bucky and notice that he is still at the vet with Alpine. Perfect! You think. You carry the large box into your bedroom and close the door behind you. As soon as you hear the door click, you hear the front door unlock.
“Doll, are you home?” You hear Bucky yell.
“I’m here!” You run up to him and kiss him.
Bucky has Alpine in a small carrier and places it on the ground before grabbing your waist to pull you in. You both smile as you kiss, loving that this is how you greet each other every time you come home. You put your hands into his back pockets to pull him closer.
“Hi…” Bucky whispers before kissing the tip of your nose.
You pull away from Bucky and crouch down to open the carrier. “How did she do?” You ask as you pull Alpine into your arms.
She purrs as you scratch her head, nuzzling the side of your face. You walk to the couch and sit down, Bucky following behind you.
“Well once she realized we were going to the vet, she was not happy. But she behaved well and the vet said that she’s healthy.” Bucky sits beside you and pets Alpine under her chin.
“Oh, that’s good!” You smile down at Alpine.
Bucky gets up and walks into the kitchen, grabbing his favorite bottle of whiskey. “You want some, Doll?”
“I’m ok, thank you.” You smile at him, your heart racing. It’s only a matter of time before he figures it out.
Bucky picks up on your nervousness but doesn’t say anything. He knows that you will talk to him when you are ready.
You look back down at Alpine and realize that she’s fallen asleep in your arms. Alpine is not the most independent cat but she loves her space. It’s rare moments like this that make your heart swell more and more.
You look up when you hear a camera shutter. Bucky has his whiskey in one hand and his phone in the other, capturing the moment between you Alpine.
“I love you,” You blurt out.
Bucky smiles at you but his eyebrows are drawn in. It wasn’t strange for you to say ‘I love you’ to him, but you never blurted it out like that. “I love you too, doll.”
“What, your girlfriend can’t say she loves you?”
“Well of course you can but you’re not one to just blurt it out.” Bucky moves towards you. “Are sure it’s just an ‘I love you’ and nothing else?”
You don’t meet his eyes. You look down at the sleeping cat in your arms, totally unaware that she is going to lose her shit in a few minutes.
“Doll, I’m getting nervous. Whatever it is, you can tell me.”
“I got a puppy!” You blurt, scaring Alpine awake.
“You what?” Bucky’s eyes widen as he sets down his glass of whiskey.
Alpine jumps up from your lap and goes to Bucky, rubbing against his leg. It’s like she understood that you got her an unwanted sibling. Bucky picks her up and she purrs, wrapping herself around his neck like a scarf.
“I was coming home from a walk and I saw this box in the street. It had a sign that said ‘Free Puppies’ and I thought to myself, ‘Hey, there’s probably no puppies! But it doesn’t hurt to look…’ and I looked in the box and there was one puppy left. I couldn’t bring myself to just leave the puppy there so I picked up the box and I came home.”
“Where’s the puppy now?” Bucky’s eyes narrow at you.
As if on command you both hear a crash in your bedroom. You turn quickly to look at your door before looking at your boyfriend with a sheepish smile. Bucky unwraps Alpine from his neck before placing her on the ground and marching his way to the bedroom.
“Bucky, wait!” You chase after him.
“No, you went and got a puppy without even consulting with me first? We’re supposed to be in a relationship, we’re supposed to communicate with each other!” Bucky goes to open the bedroom door but you duck under his arm to block the door.
“I truly was going to discuss it with you Buck, I swear! I’ve been thinking about us getting another pet for a couple of months now and I was going to bring it up but then I saw the puppy. I couldn’t leave it out in the cold!” You plead with your boyfriend.
Bucky closes his eyes and looks up to take a deep breath. He knows that you made the decision out of the goodness in your heart, that is one of the many reasons he loves you. But he feels disrespected that you didn’t ask him about this huge responsibility.
“Doll I know you’re doing this because you think it’s right, but what about Alpine? We don’t even know if she will do well with another animal here. She’s been our main focus and with another animal, a puppy nonetheless, will be a huge adjustment for her. We will most likely fall in love with that puppy and then we might have to give it away because Alpine is not taking to it well.”
You nod your head at what he’s saying. You knew all of this when you grabbed the box. You knew it would be a possibility, but you couldn’t say no to those puppy eyes.
“I know Bucky, I’ve been thinking about this for months. But when you’re gone you don’t see it. Alpine gets lonely. Even when I’m here she doesn’t play like her normal self, I can’t imagine how she acts when we’re both away on a mission.” Bucky looks down at you with sadness in his eyes.
“Alpine gets lonely?”
“She’ll stand by the front door and meow for hours, she’ll eat but only when it’s on your spot at the table, and she’ll only ever sleep on your pillow.”
Bucky turns to look at his feline companion. She’s asleep on what is Bucky’s side of the couch, not paying any mind to the argument. Bucky takes another deep breath and turns to you.
“Bucky, I wouldn’t have brought the puppy home if I didn’t think that we all couldn’t handle this adjustment.” You look into his eyes.
Bucky slowly nods his head. “Ok, but we have to introduce them slowly. We don’t want Alpine to become territorial.”
You smile at Bucky and give him a kiss. “Thank you, Bucky!”
You move out of the way and Bucky opens your bedroom door, revealing a big ball of fluff.

Desmond head canons (with a few non desmond head canons thrown in) (I love desmond and all non-desmonds equally I swear)
Desmond once came out of the animus and tried to greet the others, but he couldn't figure out which language to use, so for about 5 minutes, he cycled through different languages trying to find the right one before just giving up.
Ezio has chronic pain from climbing buildings because he never learned the correct way to climb them, nor the correct stretches to stop the pain
Haytham once convinced Connor to come with him to a tavern, Connor ended up getting drunk and zoning out for 30 minutes before putting his head down and silently crying in the corner
Connor never processed his mom's death because after she died, he had to rebuild the village, then he had to learn to fight, then he had to worry about his villages safety, etc. So he never processed it
Altair and desmond suffer from migraines and not the "my head hurts" migrans I'm talking the ones that cause you to black out for a minute and get sick
Altair once was learning to do a leap of faith, but while it was being explained, he accidently turned on his eagle vision and nearly freaked out (his dad had to take him home right after and explain what Altair was seeing)
After a few days of reliving ezios' memories, desmond started to gravitate towards Shaun because (just like Leo) Shaun smells like books
Altair has the stupidest sense of humor
Ezio collected cats, Altair collected birds, connor collected dogs/ wild animals, and now all animals are just drawn to desmond
Desmond once fist fought a gang leader *and won.* He also got the leaders' respect. (Being a bartender in Manhattan does things to you)
Desmond with adhd
Connor doesn't like walking into new places without being able to scope out the area first
DESMOND WITH ADHD
Altair has severe attachment issues, so bc of this, he distances himself as much as possible, so he doesn't get attached
Desmond got into an argument with Bill and got so frustrated that he started talking in native American without realizing Bill then said something snarky and desmond snapped in a perfect native America accent. "Haytham, you are unbelievable"
Desmond can control his ancestors' ratatouille style
When there is a time jump in the animus (for example, the time jumps in the training montage in monteriggioni), it's super disorienting for desmond bc he gets the memories of his ancestor but if he focuses on them he can't remember them
Desmond once cried for an hour in his room bc he couldn't remember Rebecca's name when he came out of the animus
Desmond nearly attacked Bill on multiple occasions because his bleeds made him appear to be a Templar (Bill is no longer allowed near desmond as he is getting out of the animus)
While they were in the temple, a bear wandered in, and everyone freaked out, but desmond just helped the bear find its way back to his mom (they now get random prey left outside of the temple)
One time, desmond tried to reach for a throwing knife before realizing he dosent have throwing knives, and he nearly died, lol
Desmond called Rebecca Claudia once, and she never forgot it
I have so many more, but I don't feel like typing them out rn

PLEAAE write dreamling pregnancy crackfic you MUST and PLEASE include Sad Crying I Forgor cat dream
Tumblr media
Behold, lovely anons, some nonsense.
---
“Um, Dream,” says Hob, staring at the tiny plastic stick sitting on his bathroom countertop, “what is that.”
Dream comes to stand behind him, peering over his shoulder. “It is a pregnancy test.”
“Yeah, why?” Hob picks it up, squinting down at it. “And why is it negative?”
He realizes a second later that the first question out of his mouth should, in fact, have been why the fuck do you have a pregnancy test? Unless it’s not Dream’s and someone just broke into his flat and left it there, which might actually be less weird.
“Presumably because I am not human,” says Dream.
Hob puts the test down. Turns around, takes Dream by the shoulders, and steers him out of the bathroom. Once they’re back in the living room, he means to say a number of things, but all that comes out of his mouth is, “What.”
“The test does not work because I am not human,” Dream repeats. He’s definitely being deliberately obtuse now, if he wasn’t before.
A million questions swirl in Hob’s mind, and a rising swell of panic. He mentally shakes himself. Forces himself to get it together. He’s not a seventeen-year-old kid who got a girl pregnant. He can handle his shit.
He holds Dream still by the arms. Tilts his head until Dream meets his eyes. “Dream, do you have something that you want to tell me? In words, maybe?”
Unless he doesn’t know. But he’s like, a concept, how could he not know?
Wait, is this why Hob was having random dreams about babies last week? He is going to kill this man.
Well, he’s going to give him a hug first. Then he’s going to kill him.
Dream looks into his eyes. Oh God, he’s serious now. So this wasn’t all just for kicks, not that Dream really does things for kicks, anyway. “Hob, I am—”
Hob hauls him into an embrace before he can finish the sentence. Perhaps he should let Dream say it. But he can’t not hug him.
Dream relaxes into his hold. Hob hadn’t realized how tense he was until he did. Oh, poor thing. Just because they’re not young people floundering about on the precipice of adulthood doesn’t mean it’s not stressful. Especially that in between moment, when he knows, and Hob doesn’t.
“I have known for a few weeks now,” Dream says, face pressed to Hob’s shoulder. “Are you upset?”
“No, of course not.” Upset? He’s having their child and Hob’s upset? He supposes they didn’t exactly plan it, but, when has he ever planned anything when it comes to Dream?
He pulls back at last, kisses Dream’s temple, and steers him over to sit down on the couch. He sits beside him, their knees touching. Takes Dream’s hand and squeezes it. “If you already knew, then why did you bother to use the test?”
“I was curious if it would work,” says Dream.
Somehow, Hob doesn’t think that’s the whole truth. “Please tell me you weren’t just going to leave it somewhere and let me guess?”
“I would have crafted some more dreams as well,” Dream says. Blasted idiot. Why is Hob in love with him? Oh yeah, because he’s even more of an idiot.
“Wasn’t picking up on it,” Hob says. “I didn’t think this was possible, to be honest. We’ve just been recklessly having unprotected sex for how long? And you never thought to mention this was a possibility?”
“I forgot,” Dream says morosely, the most pitiable frown on his face. “It is not as straightforward as it is for humans. But yes, it is possible. Evidently. I suppose I have been caught up in the… joy of our moments together. I have not had a lover in a long time.”
“Oh, love.” Hob holds him close, rubbing a hand up and down his back. “It’s alright. It’s my fault, really. I should have asked. Wrap it before you tap it, Hob.”
Dream wrinkles his nose at the phrasing. Hob kisses him on the tip of his nose.
“Maybe I was thinking about it a little bit,” Hob admits. The thought has definitely… crossed his mind, before. And it’s easy to get drawn in, when Dream is in his bed, when he looks so gorgeous, when Hob makes love to him and fills him and—
Oh, this is his fault. This is absolutely his fault. He’d thought it was a safe fantasy to indulge in, impossible in reality. Meanwhile he was fucking one of the few beings made of both fantasy and reality at once. Hob’s really the king idiot.
“A little bit?” echoes Dream, raising an eyebrow.
Hob cringes. “A lot a bit?”
Unexpectedly, Dream smiles. “You are happy, then.”
Hob goes still, staring at him. “Did I not say?”
“You expressed that you were not upset,” says Dream. “Which is not the same thing as being happy.”
“Oh, sweetheart, I’m sorry.” Hob holds him closer, kisses his cheek, his brow, the corner of his lips. “I love you so much. I’m so happy.”
“Truly?”
Hob kisses him on the lips this time, long and deep. Takes Dream’s face in his hands and caresses his cheeks. “Truly. Obviously.”
Dream hums, sounding pleased.
“Are you happy?” Hob asks. Though he suspects Dream would have been rather obvious in his displeasure if he wasn’t, he usually is.
“I believe so,” says Dream carefully. “I… would like to be. Only, I have failed before, when I had a child.” Hob pulls far enough away to look at him. Dream’s expression has twisted now. “I do not wish to repeat that.”
“You won’t.” Dream looks unconvinced, so Hob repeats it. “You won’t. You’ve learned from that. So have I.” Hob certainly made many of his own mistakes with Robyn. But he still wants to try again.
“There are many terrible endings to this story,” Dream says. Of course, Hob’s just looking at the beginning of the thing, and Dream’s looking at the whole arc, especially the end.
“And good ones,” Hob says. “I promise. I’ll do everything I can to make it good.”
“I do believe that,” says Dream, finally offering him a small smile. “You have been able to make many things good for me when I thought it impossible.”
That might just be the greatest success of Hob’s life. To make Dream see that things can be good.
“It will be good,” he vows. “You’ll see, darling.” And Dream smiles again.
Hob lays his hand over Dream’s lower belly. He doesn’t know if this pregnancy even has a physical component at all—Dream himself barely has a physical component sometimes—but it’s instinct to hold him there.
Hob can already feel himself wanting to coddle him. He’s going to have to stop himself from doing that, he highly doubts Dream will appreciate it. He has to remind himself that what happened with Eleanor won’t happen again this time, that modern medicine is so much better, and that Dream isn’t even human in the first place. For all he knows, the baby will just be born out of the clouds.
“Hob,” says Dream. “You are drifting.”
Hob shakes himself. “Sorry, love.”
“What were you thinking of?” Dream presses, brow pinching. “I felt the nature of the daydreams turn… darker.”
Hob grimaces. “It’s really nothing. Just me in my head, you know.”
Dream keeps looking at him expectantly.
Hob sighs. “It’s just, it didn’t go so well last time, with Eleanor, you know? And I know this is different, you’re different, so just be patient with me if start being a mother hen, yeah?”
“Hob…” Dream takes his hand, interlacing their fingers. “I’m sorry, I had not considered. Do you not want…?”
“No! I do want this. I just worry, is all.” He kisses Dream’s cheek. “It’s because I love you. Couldn’t bear the thought of something happening to you.”
“I must do what I can to make it good, then,” Dream says, and Hob smiles at the turnabout of his words. “You need not worry. There is no danger to me. And the baby is not human, besides.”
"It's not?" Hob supposes it's not that much of a surprise. "What is it, then?"
“I am not quite sure. I expect it will become evident soon.” He rests his hand over Hob’s, which is still on his stomach, and he looks fond now. “Perhaps once I can see its dreams.”
“You can see its dreams?”
Dream casts him an amused look. “I am made up of those dreams. And all others. Why should our baby be different?”
Our baby. It’s so affecting to hear him say it like that.
“Our baby,” Hob repeats, just for the sound of it.
“Yes,” says Dream. He sounds properly happy now, which is so lovely to hear. “Ours.”
“Well, now I’m glad we forgot to talk about magical birth control,” Hob says. “Irresponsible sex for the win! Now I get to meet our magical baby.”
“I have never known you to be a man particularly driven by responsible decision-making,” Dream says solemnly.
Hob gapes at him. “Hey!” It’s true, though. It’s all true. “I’ll be the most responsible parent you ever saw. I’ll only let them have the iPad for twenty-three hours a day instead of twenty-four.”
“I can create fantastic spectacles to which the likes of ‘Cocomelon’ cannot hope to compare,” Dream says indignantly, as if this was really an open question in Hob’s mind.
“You can be in charge of screen time, then,” Hob tells him, and Dream’s scowl shifts into a smile.
“When do I need to be ready for this?” Hob asks. “Is it like a nine months thing, or…?”
“Unclear,” says Dream. Fantastic. Typical. For all Hob knows, Dream will show up with a whole baby in his arms tomorrow. Either that or it’ll be a hundred years from now. “I suspect there will be an element of surprise.”
Of course. Dream’s sense of time passing is pretty bad at the best of times, why would the baby be any different?
“I’ll have to get to the shops, then, seeing as I don’t currently own an iPad,” Hob says.
Dream hands him one that definitely was not in existence a moment ago.
“Did you get that—”
“From a dream, yes.”
Hob stares at it in wonder for a moment, wondering if it even has normal apps, or strange ones only dreamt of, then sets it on the coffee table. “Well, Christmas shopping with you will be a cinch.”
Dream is quiet for a moment. “I would not wish to burden you with these things,” he finally says. “To upend your life when you are already well-occupied.”
“Nope, none of that.” Hob takes Dream’s hands and pulls them close. “First of all, I’m very old and can afford to buy a lot of iPads, so don’t worry about it. But more than that, I love you.” He taps Dream’s belly, though he still doesn’t know exactly how or where this not-human baby is meant to grow. “And you. So don’t think like that. I know I can’t expect a nine-to-five, normal daily schedule from you. I’ve never expected that from you.” As of now, Dream just visits whenever he can, often at odd hours. Hob doesn’t expect he’ll be able to change that much, even now. He is still Dream above all else.
Dream doesn’t deny it, either. He looks down at their joined hands. “Would that it were otherwise.”
Hob rubs his thumb back and forth over his knuckles. “It’s okay. I needed some new excitement in my life anyway. Besides—” he gestures to the dream-iPad—DreamPad? Dream will hate that name, so Hob will definitely have to use it—“even if we can’t always have you, we’ll have your stories, hm?”
Dream smiles, then, a fragile smile. “I suppose that’s true.”
“Course it is.” Hob kisses his cheek. “We’ll figure it out, love. Don’t worry.”
“That is one skill you certainly do possess,” says Dream—in contrast, Hob supposes, to his lack of rational decision-making. “‘Figuring it out.’”
“My PhD is in Winging It,” Hob agrees. “Speaking of, though, we are going to have to have an actual talk about how not to have another ‘surprise’.”
“Yes,” Dream agrees ruefully. He seems quite embarrassed about it, actually, and Hob can’t help but hug him again, squeezing him tight, kissing his cheek and temple. Despite the shock and confusion, Hob really is happy, powerfully so. A baby, his and Dream’s baby. He can’t even imagine the possibility of it.
Dream squirms under the attention, but hums, seeming pleased deep down.
“A little baby Dream,” Hob sighs. “They will be a terror.”
Dream raises an eyebrow. “And you think your influence has no effect on that?”
“I was a delightful child,” Hob protests.
“Do not tempt me to draw proof to the contrary from your dream records,” Dream warns.
“You’ll be a terror,” Hob says. “‘No, Da, I definitely didn’t cheat on that exam,’ ‘Mm, that’s not what your dream at 2:34 am indicates.’”
“Precisely,” says Dream. He sounds quite proud of himself, really. Little nightmare.
Hob kisses him again, on the lips this time. Yes, they will definitely be absolute terrors, the both of them.
But it would be boring otherwise.

Five years ago today, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power premiered on Netflix. I had seen a few preview articles about it, and liked what I saw. Those articles mostly focused on She-Ra’s, Adora’s, Glimmer’s, Bow’s, and Catra’s redesigns, and I thought they were fabulous. I loved Adora’s new red jacket and bouffant hair style. Glimmer’s entire redesign was inspired, and I loved that they made Bow black so we could have more diversity in the main cast.
It was She-Ra’s and Catra’s redesigns that caught my eyes the most, though. They made Catra an actual catgirl, and not just in the anime sense where she's just a cute girl with cat ears and maybe a cat tail. She was a full-on furry. It was a brilliant design choice. Honestly it’s no wonder that so many were instantly drawn to her.
And of course, She-Ra herself. I loved her new look, and her huge ass new Sword of Protection. In fact, I loved it so much that I drew this picture of her before the show even came out:
Tumblr media
Then the show came out, and needless to say, I fell in love. And honestly, it changed my life.
I know, I know. That sounds very hyperbolic, and to an extent it is, but in a lot of ways, I’m absolutely serious.
Alright, I have to back up a little. Back when I was in college, and for a few years after, a couple of friends and I tried to make a webcomic called The Devil’s Gate. It was minorly successful but eventually floundered. Then I met some people and we tried to make a video game, which also failed. After those few years, I found myself on my own and trying to rework the concept of my webcomic. Making comics, creating stories, those have always been my dream, and I was desperately trying to figure out a story I could make work, something that I believed in. But it never truly got off the ground. By the end of 2015 I had given up on the comic, realizing that after working on it for years in different forms that I needed to step away from it.
I didn’t really know what to do after that. I was still doing my quick daily doodles, but I wasn’t writing, I wasn’t drawing anything of note. I felt emotionally and physically drained of my creativity. I was honestly getting to the point where I thought it might be time for me to give up on trying to be creative or making things all together.
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power came out on November 13, 2018, but despite looking forward to it, I didn’t actually watch it when it came out. It wasn’t until that weekend that I decided to check it out.
I was instantly hooked. I binged through the entire season in two days, and did plenty of crying and cheering. And then rewatched it immediately. I was in love. I was obsessed. It had been a long time since anything grabbed me like SPOP did. I loved the characters. I loved the colorful, sci-fi-fairy tale world of Etheria. I loved how unapologetically feminine it was. And most of all, I loved how queer it was.
I hadn’t done a ton of shipping before SPOP. I’ve been down bad for harlivy for what feels like my whole life, and I was angry when Mika and HG didn’t get together in Warehouse 13, but more often than not I had just been conditioned not to look for queer things in mainstream culture, and even barely in subculture.
That is to say, when I was smashed in the face with Catradora I was surprised how much I glommed onto it immediately. I was absolutely taken with Adora and Catra and their relationship. Both characters were so relatable, and despite not quite being text (although the subtext was so loud and obvious it might as well have been text), it was impossible to not read their feelings for each other as romantic.
It wasn’t just Catradora, even if that was a lot of it. Spinnerella and Netossa being canon from the start was wonderful. How much Glimmer and Bow screamed “BISEXUAL DISASTERS” from the start was adorable. Scorpia’s crush on Catra was as cute as it was sad in its one-sidedness.
I had never really been in a fandom. That is, yeah I’ve liked things, loved things even, but I never found other people to talk about it at length, never found discords just for that thing, never read or wrote fanfic, barely ever drew fanart.
But, I watched SPOP, and then I watched it again. And then I drew Catra. And then I drew Adora. And then I drew them again. And suddenly I was on AO3, a site I never frequented, reading Catradora fics. And then I had an AO3 account. That December I participated in Catradora Week 2018 (I’d never heard of this kind of thing) and drew two pictures for it and wrote my first fanfic.
By the end of February I had drawn more in the three months since the show had premiered than I had in the previous year. I was working furiously on a long, multi-chapter fanfic, and writing more words than I had in the previous couple of years combined.
I was inspired again.
In the 18 months that SPOP ran for, I drew more than I had in years, I wrote hundreds of thousands of words. I felt so rejuvenated and happy about my creativity and free for the first time in years.
It’s hard to put into words exactly how it felt. I was so close to giving up my art and writing, which honestly, would have been giving up a part of myself. An important part of myself. It’s not overstating that SPOP saved me, or at least my creative spirit.
I also learned about the wonders of being in a fandom and fandom things like fan weeks, big bangs, zines. And I made some wonderful friends that I cherish to this day.
Even as I inevitably moved onto other hyperfixations, my love for She-Ra hasn’t diminished. Plushie Catra and Adora sit next to me on my desk every day. Catradora art still hangs on my wall.
The inspiration that SPOP ignited in me hasn’t died either. It’s carried me through a tremendous level of creativity that I’ve been riding since the premiere. It let me create a ton of fan art for SPOP, and then RWBY and then the Witch From Mercury, and I’ve written a ton of fanfics for RWBY and Supergirl. And perhaps the best, that inspiration has helped me create more OC stuff in the last couple years than I had in a long time.
I owe She-Ra and The Princesses of Power so much. I am so happy that it exists and that it happened when it did. I’ll always cherish it.
And for real, Netflix, SPOP spin-off movies WHEN?!

Death Becomes Us
a True Blood au
vampire!eddie x supernatural!reader
Part 7: Cry Little Sister
masterlist playlist
It's been over 2 months since you had more than a glimpse of Eddie, but you had the feeling that he never let you get too far out of his peripheral vision. Some vampires you've never met before come looking for him while you are trying to housetrain your new companion. Just as you're about to have some quality time with Eddie, another visitor shows up.
word count: 4.4k
18+only for mature themes, vampires, mention of illegal drugs, a demobat, allusions to smut, angst, werewolves, ode to The Lost Boys
authors note: this is a shorter chapter, and there is not a ton of action like in the other parts, but I will make up for that next time.
I had a few names I was considering for our new companion, and decided to go with Bela, in honor of Bela Lugosi, thanks to @somnambulic-thing
You’d picked up an old, pea green recliner at the thrift store, and that was where you sat in the morning by the lamp to drink coffee and read as much as you could about demobats.
There wasn’t much known about them, but you had gone to Robin at the bookstore with your search, and she found an obscure issue from a dead publication and ordered it. You told her it was purely to satiate your curiosity after you’d witnessed them firsthand on your way to Sacrament. You didn’t know if it was good sense, or even legal, to have one residing in your home, so you decided to keep your new friend a secret for the time being.
Days turned into weeks since you'd last interacted with Eddie, but you kept track of when he was home and when he wasn’t, as if it was your job. Sometimes, when you were watching TV in your living room with the curtains drawn, you’d catch his kitchen light click on about an hour after dark, and you imagined him walking through in his boxers, yawning, scratching his stomach where the trail of hair from below connected to his bellybutton.
What you didn’t know was that the first part of his waking up ritual was to crack his bedroom curtain and see if you were home. If you weren’t at work, the answer was usually yes, and he’d watch the flicker of your tv in the window reflection.
That morning, you had a black, hooded sweatshirt in your lap, and in the sweatshirt sleeping like a baby, was a demobat.
You peeled back a bit of the material to take a peek at her face. Her enormous mouth of teeth hung open and her leathery wings twitched like she was in the middle of a dream, your arm straining at the heft of her weight. She didn’t have any eyes, but her sense of hearing was excellent and sometimes, you had to make noise for her to find you, like tapping your knuckle on the wall or countertop.
You didn’t realize she’d followed you from the Upside Down until a good three days later when you came home from work late to find her collapsed on your porch. You imagined she got desperate because she was starving. This wasn’t the same world as hers, and she didn’t know her way around or how to find nourishment. She let you pick her up when you found her, after one long roar to let you know she was dangerous, and then she wrapped her wings around you.
You were worried that she might go after Eddie’s cat, Dio, or one of the other strays you were feeding at the trailer park, but you were surprised to read in the book that they were not carnivores.
A vegetarian demobat? She especially enjoyed canned mandarin oranges and corn on the cob.  Everything considered, she was docile and attention-starved, for the most part, until she could sense voices a bit too close to the trailer, or the mailman slipped letters in your box, making the metal flap clink shut.
And then she would go berserk, screeching at the top of her lungs, wings outstretched, trying to make herself look as big and threatening as possible.
“Bela,” you called to her, using the name you’d decided on, inspired by Lugosi.  You clapped a few times, using vibration to get her attention, and she eventually learned to come to you.
Weeks turned into months and there was snow on the ground; a light dusting to accompany the late-November freeze.  You’d only recently caught a glimpse of Eddie in passing, from a distance, or just before he snapped his trailer lights off in the morning to go to sleep.  He stopped by Main Vein a few times  to sit in his regular spot and have a NuBlood, but you had a strong feeling that he was avoiding you.  The second you walked over, he’d either check his pager and act busy, or he’d excuse himself and say he had to run.
He never failed to leave some of his artwork scribbled on a napkin, though, and you were always quick to snatch it and put it in your pocket.
You felt like he was keeping tabs on you, yet keeping his distance, all at once.
You’d dropped off a carved jack-o-lantern on his porch a few days before Halloween, and the day after that, you were surprised to find an odd butterfly animal made of scrap metal, sitting on your welcome mat.  Your smile cut into your cheeks so hard, a tiny ache throbbed there as you admired the welded legs and haphazard laser cuts on the wings.
To honor the family memories that were so ancient they were almost dust, you got up on a ladder outside to string some colorful Christmas bulbs, and you put up a tiny tree of the Charlie Brown variety inside.  You had a Bing Crosby album while you decorated.  Mostly, it was a sad attempt, and the other vampires in the lot hated the holiday by definition, so they all gave your place pointed looks over the upturned collars of their jackets.
Bela looked like E.T. between some stuffed animals with silver tinsel on top of her oddly shaped head, hanging down like hair, when there was suddenly some kind of commotion outside.  You strained to listen and swore you heard a loud voice shouting for Eddie.
The demobat sprang from the couch, flaring her wings wide; she was a blur of holiday delights being thrust away by her sprawl.  A feral sound escaped her that was part howl, part Velociraptor caw.
You jumped up and moved in front of her, so she lowered her wings--which were also used as hands with extremely strong fingers---and hovered behind you in the air.  She finally dropped to the counter and waited with a snarling mouth while you pressed your forehead against the cool of the window to see what was going on.
There appeared to be four boys dressed like 80's rockers in long black coats, and you noticed a motorcycle for each parked just between your two trailers.  They continued to call Eddie’s name, almost taunting now, and two of them hit the trailer with the flat of their hand, trying to get his attention.
“He’s not home,” you went out onto the porch, shutting Bela inside to shriek to herself in private. You did not know for a fact that he wasn’t home, but there was no car parked in his normal spot, and you sincerely wanted them to go away.
They all turned to you, pale faces stern at first, but then smiles crept across their devilish mouths exposing the points of vampire fangs.  The one with the platinum blonde hair and earring in one ear caged his fingers in front of him and rolled his thumbs over each other as he spoke.
“And, who might you be? He cocked his head, and the others seemed to mirror him, four pairs of eyes sweeping over you.
The sounds inside the trailer told you that Bela had moved to the far end, possibly the bedroom.  You could hear her shrill cry followed by a thud.
From your higher vantage on the porch, you told the vampire your name, appraising him down the end of your nose.  “What do you need from Eddie?”
He walked closer, almost to your steps.  “Oh, we’re old friends, just hoping to catch up.”
He was positively enigmatic, in that way only vampires can be, but you had a feeling this guy never had a hard time getting what he wanted even when he was human. There was sarcasm in his tone and, for some reason, the others snickered.
“Well,” you took a breath and grabbed for the door handle.  “Good luck finding him.”
In a flash, they were all up on the porch, crowding you, making you gasp.  “Not so fast there, princess,” the blonde one grinned.  “Maybe we want to get to know you better.”
You could hear the ticking of the time bomb inside of you, on its final few counts before detonation.  Your heartbeat quickened, and you were sure that they noticed.  You watched them freeze and exchange a few curious glances.
Then, there it was: the inhale, that quick and deliberate sniff of your scent.
The blonde one ran a finger down the scar on your cheek.  “You don’t smell like a human.  Why is that?”
You shrugged away from him.  “Please get off my porch.”
They were all leering at you, their crooked grins mocking.
You wondered if he was trying to glamour you—to make you do whatever he wanted by hypnotizing you—but he’d soon find out you were impervious to vampire party tricks.
“Don’t be so hasty, princess,” the main one moved as if he were about to touch you again, his cold breath matching the chill of the air outside.
“Hey, are you bozo’s looking for me?” There came another voice, just below the porch railing.
It was Eddie.
You stepped back, closer to the front door, face flushing with the heat of relief.
He was in the typical Eddie uniform of all black, but for the white of the Iron Maiden tee under his leather, and the rips in his jeans where pale, tattooed flesh peeked out. He wore heavy motorcycle boots that were covered in mud, and when his hands flexed into fists at his sides, you saw that the knuckles on one hand were bloody.  You wondered where he’d rushed from the moment he felt your fear.  What sort of car jacking or obligatory beating had he been partaking in when he felt your need?
You never meant to call for him on purpose, but now that he had your blood in him, he could sense any ripple in the force that hinted to your discomfort.
The look on Eddie’s face when the vampire boys parted, and he finally found your eyes, was a mix of worry and white hot anger.  “Are you okay?”
You nodded once, that was all you could manage.  You were so glad to see him, and it wasn’t because you worried that the guys on your porch would hurt you.  There was another, more foreign emotion that bathed you in a sense of calm.
Meanwhile, the thudding at the other end of the trailer stopped abruptly.
“Easy boys,” blondie spread his arms wide to motion for them all to step back.  “Give the lady some room.  We didn’t come here for trouble.”
“What did you come here for, then?” Eddie bit.  His stare was trained on you as the vampires santured down toward him.
You could’ve, or possibly should have, gone inside, and even though you knew Eddie could handle himself, you didn’t feel good about the 4 on 1 odds.  One of the mullet boys had a butterfly knife that he was fidgeting with; opening and closing it with a flick of his wrist while he walked. He had black gloves on, and you wondered if the blade of the weapon was made of silver.
“Just a friendly visit, Munson,” Blondie said. You watched him stop a few feet from your neighbor while the rest circled him like they had with you.  “We were told you had something of interest to us.”
Eddie shot him a look, confused, but maintained his composure. “If it’s Dice you want, I haven’t sold that shit in years.”
Dice: the vampire drug of choice.
The only drug on the planet designed for vampires to experience the equivalent of a human Benzo.  Highly addictive, and made with a lot of illegal, human-derived ingredients that Eddie preferred not to think about, it was also deadly in large amounts to vampires because of the trace amounts of garlic oil.
The four guys who looked like they’d just walked out of a heavy metal video exchanged bored expressions. Eddie knew the platinum-haired one fairly well, his name was David, and the shorter one with the butterfly knife was Marko, but he’d never cared to learn the names of the other two.  They lived down at The Caves in a vampire “nest” with a few others, and had only been turned recently, so therefore, were no match for Eddie’s strength. Still, they were cocky as hell and always looking for trouble, as most young ones were.
Eddie chanced a glance at you, hoping maybe you’d gone inside by then, but also, he liked having you where he could see you. He looked over his shoulder to get an idea of how many other residents were lurking around.
“We should probably talk business inside my trailer,” Eddie inclined his head.  “Too many ears out here.”
“If you don’t have it,” David lowered his voice and tilted his head.  “I bet you know where we can get it.”
Sure, Eddie knew one guy in town who had it, but there was no way he’d send those creeps over to Reefer Rick’s place.  His long time friend was still human, and he didn’t trust the irrational hunger he saw in their pinned pupils.
“There’s only one person I know for sure would have some and that’s Jareth,” Eddie lied.
The other three guys mumbled to each other behind David, but then David shushed them with a hiss and flap of his hand.
Eddie knew that would shut them up pretty quick.  No one could just stroll into Sacrament and ask Jareth for drugs.  Also, Jareth never wanted money in return, he always wanted services for “favors”, and they were always tasks that would make any normal person, vampire or otherwise,  have a hard time looking at themselves in the mirror afterwards.
David began to back up, toward his motorcycle. “Alright well, this was a pleasure,” his gaze lingered on you and he gave a slow, generous lick of his lips.  “I really hope we bump into each other again sometime.”
Eddie couldn’t help the death stare he was giving him, grinding his back teeth so hard, the muscles in his jaw bulged.  He hated that they knew where you lived, he hated that they had been so close to you, to know that you were different.
The motorcycles began to start up, headlights snapping on to blare right into your eyes, making you blink away.
The rest of their motors idled until David took off first, tires making tracks in the thin blanket of white over the ground, and then the rest followed onto the gravel road before blasting onto the highway, howling to each other like wolves as they went.
“You sure you’re okay?” Eddie was up on the porch with you as fast as if he had teleported.
The sudden jolt of his new proximity knocked the wind out of you; you still weren’t used to the lightning speed at which they could move.
“Could you please not do that anymore,” you clutched your throat. “Maybe just walk up the steps like a regular person?”
Leaning back against the railing, he grinned.  “My bad,” he mumbled, playing with the chunky ring on his middle finger.
The truth was, he’d been going crazy trying to get you off of his mind.  Ever since he took you to the Upside Down, he’d been wrestling with some serious demons and trying not to think of  you in a sexual way, but his efforts were fruitless.
It was normal for humans to have sexual dreams about a vampire if they ingested their blood, but he’d never heard of it happening the other way around.  He’d been prey to so many wet dreams of tasting your cum on his tongue that he’d lost count.  It was getting to the point that he looked forward to the fantasies because it was a way to spend time with you; to feel the warm, wet lining of  your cheek when you sucked his fingers, to not only split you open with his cock and deny you until you begged to cum, but to make soft, deep love to you when he confessed things that he could never say out loud.
He wasn’t allowed to have feelings for you.  It would make his job very…complicated.
That other secret job of his, the one you could never know anything about.
“Have you been avoiding me?”
Eddie’s head snapped up at your question. “Why would I be avoiding you?” Indeed, that is exactly what he’d been doing, but he didn’t want it to be obvious.
With an absent shrug, you realized all of a sudden that you only had a light cardigan on over your jumper, and your teeth were chattering.
“I’ve been really busy with…” he trailed off.  “...stuff.”
“I loved the butterfly you made,” you told him, hoping to see those flecks of gold dance in his eyes again.
“You mean the bug soldier?” He chuckled, correcting you. “Those aren’t butterfly wings, that’s a cape.”
“He’s inside.  I’ll have to apologize to him for calling him a butterfly.” You wrapped your arms around yourself.  “Do you want to come in?”
“Shit, sorry, yeah, you look cold.  Here.” He shrugged his leather jacket off, exposing the patchwork of tattoos along his arms and neck, and you let him put it around  your shoulders.  You were suddenly shrouded in that familiar musk of his and you felt safe.
But then, he let the weight of your other question sink in.  “Are you inviting me in? Officially?”
If you invited a vampire in, that meant they could enter your home any time they pleased, by whatever means necessary.  There was always the option to resend the invite, but it was an important decision that would eliminate the barrier of magical protection.
Just as you were about to make a decision, you heard the sound of glass breaking, like a window shattering.
And then you heard the all too familiar screeching.
“Oh shit, Bela,” you cursed under your breath.
“Bela?” Eddie tried to peer around the trailer to where the sound was coming from. “Who is —”
She appeared over the top of the roof then, jagged teeth ready to strike as she shot down at Eddie like a missile, roaring as she went.
Defensively, he exposed his fangs to meet her aggression.
“No, no Bela! He’s a friend!” You put your arm out like a shield to protect him and she landed on it like a trained Hawk or Owl, curling a finger from one of her wings around you for support.
She hissed one more time at him for good measure, and then her wings fell slowly to her sides as she crept up your arm to settle on your shoulder.
Eddie’s jaw went slack.
“Is this the…same one that we…how?”
You told him about how you found her on the porch and the way she refused to let you too far out of her sight.
He lifted a hand to maybe touch a finger to her belly.  “Can I?” He asked you.
“I wouldn’t,” you responded quickly, noting Bela’s low growl.  “Not until she knows you aren’t a threat to me.”
He dropped his hand and hooked a thumb into his belt loop, taking in the details of what it was like to see one of them up close.  “I’ve never heard of a human, or anyone, making one of them into a pet. I didn’t think it was possible. They are killing machines.”
You let Bela rest one of her heavy tentacles gently in the palm of your hand, swirling it into a spiral.  “I don’t know if she’s a pet as much as…some type of guardian.  She’s tuned into my emotions somehow. I think that’s why she’s not trying to eat your face off right now.”
You were enjoying the awestruck expression on Eddie’s face.  “Did you still want to come inside? Or have you changed your mind?”
He remembered the wet dreams he’d been having, how many times you’d buried his length inside of you while seated in his lap.  The sweat dripping down, the groaning, the words of adoration.  The way he fingered you in the shower and made you—-
“Earth to Eddie?” Your voice snapped him from his thoughts. “I said, would you like to come in?”
You had the door open, and you gestured for him to follow, with a feral demobat casually riding on your shoulder.  It had begun to snow again; petite flakes that melted as soon as they hit  your skin.  One got stuck on Eddie’s eyelash.
“Yes,” he swallowed, raking a hand through his hair. “Yes, I would like to come in.”
“Okay, let me put Bela in my bedroom real quick,” you went on ahead into the warmth of your place, shivering.  Eddie put his boot in the door to keep it from closing, taking in the gravity of the situation.
You had invited him inside.
As a vampire, it was not something to be taken lightly.
You had to put Bela in the bathroom momentarily, until you could duct tape over the broken window in your bedroom.  You felt like she’d listened to you well enough, but the doubts you had gave you anxiety, so separating her from your new guest felt like the best idea.  You put a soft blanket on the bathtub in there, and she nestled down in it like she was sleepy.
When you came back out a few minutes later, Eddie was still standing in the doorway, just inside the threshold.
“Did the invitation not work?” You asked, curiously.
“No, no, it did,” he took the final step in and went to close the door behind him.  “I was just enjoying the moment, I guess.”
You noticed that his hand, the one that had been bleeding earlier, was completely healed already.
Just as the front door was about to shut completely, headlights from a car lit up the porch as someone approached from the road and parked in front of your trailer.
“What now?” You sighed, exasperated.
But then you heard the rumble of the big engine that belonged to a classic, square-body Chevy, and your blood ran cold with sudden recognition.
Eddie closed the door the final inch and turned to note the way you nervously adjusted yourself.  “Were you expecting someone?”
Shit shit shit
You cursed to yourself quietly.
Could all this be happening at a worse time?
Also, how could you forget? Between Bela and Eddie's motorcycle buddies, the fact that you’d agreed to go on date that night had somehow slipped your mind.
The headlights turned off and the engine cut.
“Yeah, um, I agreed to go to the movies with someone tonight,” you cleared your throat.  Why were you nervous to tell him you had a date? It wasn’t like Eddie had made a move, in fact, he’d been giving you the cold shoulder for weeks.  You were starting to think he was repulsed by you.
“Someone?” Eddie heard the heavy footfalls climbing up the wood steps, and realization dawned on him. Everything made sense all at once.  The fact that you were dressed up in clothes he’d never seen you in, and you smelled extremely good, even more so than normal.
What had he expected you to do? Wait around on the porch for him, knitting, until he was able to work through his issues and ask you on a date himself?
Someone else had beaten him to hit, and he didn’t care who it was—he fucking hated him.  Wanted to rip him open and stomp on their guts.
At the sound of the doorbell, Bela screeched from the bathroom.
Chaos, you mused, pure chaos.
You squeezed your eyes shut and wished for a hole to open up in the ground and swallow you up.
With a tight jaw, Eddie was the one to open the door.
Steve Harrington had a bouquet of daisies in his hand. A full head of hair that was long down his neck, and black and red flannel over a new pair of blue jeans. He raised an eyebrow at the sight of you standing just behind the vampire with the murderous look on his face.
Steve’s eyes shifted to you.  “Is this a bad time?”
“Yes,” Eddie said.
“No,” you corrected, pushing by Eddie to take the flowers and thank him.
“These are so beautiful,” you cleared your throat.  “Um, Steve—this is Eddie, my neighbor.  Eddie this is—”
“I know who he is,” they both said in unison.
You watched Steve’s brown eyes glow a bright yellow for a moment as he regarded your other guest with stern resolve.
You took off Eddie’s jacket and handed it back to him with a shove. “Just give me a second to grab a few things?” You said to Steve in a rush.  “I’ll be—I’ll be right out.”
Steve stared right at Eddie when he said, “I’ll go wait in the truck.”
“You do that,” Eddie muttered as Steve turned to go.
Eddie was quick to slam the door shut again.  He turned to you with a scowl on his face, “A werewolf?” He balked.  “You’re going on a date with one of those smelly dogs?”
“Yeah, well,” you tossed the daisies on the counter while you fumbled with your handbag. “Why do you care?”
“I don’t,” he pursed his lips into a tight line and shook his head.
“Good, that’s settled,” you took a deep breath.  “Not that you deserve any explanation, but I’ve been running into him at the bookstore for weeks, and I mentioned that I never go anywhere, so he invited me to a movie.  We’re just going as friends.”
“Friends don’t bring you flowers.”
Outside, the truck rumbled to life and the headlights snapped on again.
“I can’t do this right now with you, Eddie.  I need you to go so that I can get Bela out of the bathroom and calm her down before I leave.”
Without another word, he reached for the door again.
“Hey Eddie,” you softened your tone.  You’d meant to grab his arm, but took hold of his hand instead.  He squeezed your fingers back, but he did not turn to meet your eyes.  “I’m sorry we didn’t get to…I don’t mean to run out on you like this. Maybe tomorrow?”
“I’m busy,” he mumbled.  He rubbed his thumb over your knuckles once, and then, in a blink, he was out the door and gone.

Kento Nanami thrived from his routines.
That’s why you were a problem.
It first started when you moved to Tokyo for work. You were offered a position in a big money law firm. The type of position that pays you so much you’d be a fool to turn it down. And that fool, you were not.
You had moved out to the big city to get away from your boring town and annoying family, and what a blessing it was that you were paid to do it.
On your first day of work, you woke up bright and early to make the commute to your new job. You made sure to also give yourself enough time to get something from that cute bakery you saw, that was down the street from your apartment. You had a feeling you were going to need the extra fuel to get through the day.
Once you were dressed in your professional attire, you fed your cat, and skipped out the door.
You took your time to take in your surroundings on your short walk to the bakery. It was early enough that the city wasn't awake yet. The sun had barely fully risen, and you loved how peaceful the walk was.
The smell of fresh bread and coffee instantly hit you when you opened the door. You looked around it in awe and nodded at the polite cashier who greeted you. The display case had all sorts of sweets, making your mouth water.
Looking up at the menu, you took your time perusing all the options they had. There wasn't anyone else in in the bakery, after all.
Did you want pumpkin bread or a blueberry muffin?
You were so wrapped up in your thoughts that you didn’t notice a customer entering the bakery. Not just any customer. Kento.
But, boy, did he notice you.
He stopped in his tracks and his eyes narrowed when he saw you standing at the counter.
What the fuck were you doing here?
His face quickly turned into a scowl as he got into line behind you.
He almost scoffed out loud.
Line.
In a bakery.
This early in the morning.
Over three years of coming to this bakery at the same time every day he had never once seen another person before him.
That was why he chose it. He knew that at this hour, most people were barely waking up. And even the people who were already dressed and out the door, wouldn’t turn to a little hole in the wall like this one.
But here you were.
Ruining his routine.
And, God, he hated it.
If that wasn’t bad enough, you were also being rude! There was a line behind you and you were taking your sweet time reading the menu. Well, maybe not a line, one person hardly constituted a line. But Kento couldn't care less.
He crossed his arms, and looked down his nose at you. His eyes bore holes in the back of your head as he looked back and forth from you and the cashier.
Never mind the fact that you didn’t realize Kento was there. You were too caught up in deciding whether you should get the pumpkin bread or a blueberry muffin, but you wanted to be adventurous.
What if you went with the chocolate croissant?
It wasn’t until Kento cleared his throat in annoyance when you snapped out of your thoughts and turned to look at him.
“Oh- I’m so sorry, you can go ahead of me. I’m not sure what I want yet.” You gave him an apologetic smile and gestured for him to take your spot.
Oh.
Kento raised an eyebrow at your words, taken aback by your kindness. He wasn't even sure what to say. It was his intention to intimidate you from further disturbing his routine. But now he felt like an idiot.
Because of course you weren’t screwing with his routine on purpose, but you were also a nice person. It also helped that your wide, innocent eyes instantly had his mind going blank. But he wouldn’t admit that.
You were a complete and total inconvenience, and you were throwing a wrench in his day. He wanted to paint you out to be the villain in his tragic tale, yet when he looked at your sweet face he just simply couldn’t.
The words came out of his mouth before he knew what he was saying, “It’s okay, I don’t mind waiting,” Lie.
You smiled, oblivious to his internal turmoil and he cursed himself. "Alright," You hummed.
You went back to studying the options, now trying to choose between the croissant or a muffin.
Kento didn't understand the indecision.
There were only a couple items on the menu and he always got the same thing. He was already aware of all the best options.
So he decided to intervene, hoping it would speed up your thought process. "The blueberry muffins are delicious."
The cashier nodded in agreement and you turned to look at Kento, eyes shining, "Really?"
He nodded and you turned back to the cashier. "Okay, I'll have a blueberry muffin and a plain medium coffee, please!"
You thanked them both and waited for your order.
Kento didn’t know what to do next. His whole plan was to scare you off, make sure you never interrupt his routine again, but you seemed nice. And you weren't exactly the worst person to be behind in line.
Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, he moved up to the cashier and ordered his usual.
After your order was done, you grabbed yours and headed for the door. You waved to Kento before leaving.
He had a feeling that would be the first of many run-ins.
And he was right.
Every goddamn morning, to be exact.
For weeks, you would arrive just a few minutes before him. And the same thing would happen. He would wait behind you, and try not to be bothered by your presence.
He failed, obviously.
He was annoyed with you.
But now, his annoyance stemmed from a different source.
At first, it was the fact that you had disturbed his perfect routine. But now, it was because you were taking over his thoughts. He found himself almost looking forward to the morning encounters, and he was starting to feel a little possessive. Not in an obsession way, of course, more like in the way that he considered the bakery his.
You were his. Every morning, for only a few silent minutes. But those moments were his.
You had become a problem without even realizing it. Hell- he almost didn’t realize it.
But this all became very evident to Kento when one morning you weren't there before him. You weren't there at all.
Just when he was starting to accept you as a new addition in his routine.
You went ahead and fucked it up again.
Kento didn’t realize just how used to your presence he had gotten. He felt uneasy, and couldn’t seem to shake the feeling.
It felt like there was a pit in his stomach the entire day.
He couldn’t concentrate on anything, and Gojo had noticed.
Gojo had asked him what was wrong, and Kento couldn't bring himself to lie. He just shook his head and sighed.
Maybe it would help to get it off his chest.
He explained from the beginning. About his routine, the bakery, and you... and your stupidly cute face. Of course he didn’t voice that last part, but it did flash in his mind briefly.
Then he got to the events of this morning, your unexpected absence. Obsession Concern was evident in his voice as he listed the possibilities regarding the lack of your presence.
Maybe you had left town, or moved. Perhaps you were sick, or worse- dead!
He knew his concerns were unreasonable.
You could be doing any number of things, and there should be no reason for him to think about it this much.
Gojo was quiet as he listened to his friend explain his problems. He was quiet for so long, Kento thought he had fallen asleep.
Wouldn't be the first time he's done that.
He was just about to snap at Gojo, when the man finally spoke up. "You should just ask her."
Kento scoffed, "I don't have her number, nor do I know where she lives." rolling his eyes he continued, "Plus, why would I bother talking to her now? We keep to ourselves every morning, there's no reason to make conversation."
He mulled the thought of asking you tomorrow. But then he realized.
What if you weren't there tomorrow either?
No.
That wouldn't do.
He couldn't handle another day without you... because he got used to you being a part of his routine.
Yes. That was why.
The rest of the day dragged on. Kento couldn't concentrate on any of his work.
You had wormed your way into his brain, and you were biting away, inch by inch like he was a juicy red apple.
Kento Nanami did not pine. He was a busy man with a busy schedule.
He had no time to pine.
Especially not over someone as insignificant as a fellow customer he had started sharing his morning with.
Someone who he didn't even know their goddamn name!
Kento had gone home, ate his dinner, and got ready for bed. He did his nightly routine, and then proceeded to lay awake staring at the ceiling for a few hours.
His mind was plagued with thoughts of you.
There you go again! Ruining his routine.
He should have been asleep almost two hours ago. He had to be up in five.
He didn't understand why the thought of seeing you in the morning affected him so much. Or more so- the thought of not seeing you.
He just didn't like the uncertainty.
Kento was a man of order and control.
That's what it was... right?
He just didn't like the fact that you threw him off his routine, yet again.
You were an annoying thorn in his ass, and he was angry.
Kento was just an upset, tired man.
There was no way his emotions were rooted in anything other than the disruption of his routine.
The next morning rolled around and life moved on like usual. You woke up early, got dressed, fed your cat, and skipped out the door.
Kento was awake.
Kento was showered.
Kento was dressed.
Kento was in the kitchen eating his breakfast.
And then Kento was out the door.
When he walked into the small bakery his heart nearly stopped when he saw you there.
He was frozen.
He didn't know what to do.
He was just happy that you were here.
Happy?
No.
Relieved.
Yes, that was the word he was looking for.
And apparently he wasn't the only one curious about your absence, as when he walked in he overheard the cashier ask about yesterday’s whereabouts in a friendly tone.
See, his concern wasn't unwarranted.
"Oh, I had a small cold. But, I'm much better now!" You laughed, and the sound filled Kento's ears.
He felt warm.
He felt fuzzy.
Those feelings made him scowl and hoped that didn’t mean he was catching your cold.
He didn't stop to ponder deeper into these feelings, he simply continued forward to stand behind you.
And just like that, his routine had gone back to normal.
⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂ ⠂⠄⠄⠂☆
A few days had passed, and you were there every morning like clockwork.
Kento's mood was significantly lighter and his work had improved.
Gojo had also noticed this.
Gojo was very observant.
Despite that silly blindfold he always wore.
Gojo was also an annoying piece of shit.
So of course, he had to pester Kento about it.
He had to know what had caused the sudden change in his friend's demeanor.
"Nanami!" Gojo whined, "I'm so bored, tell me something exciting!"
"There is nothing exciting to tell," Kento said flatly, "And, if I did, you'd never shut up about it."
"Come on! I'm just curious." Gojo huffed and flopped back onto his chair, crossing his arms like a child, "Did you ask your little crush where she was?"
"Crush?" Kento scoffed, "Don't be ridiculous, Satoru."
Gojo shrugged and leaned back in his chair. He knew to pick his battles with Kento.
He decided not to press the issue further, but he was determined to get it out of him eventually.
Glaring into Gojo, Kento got up from his seat and spun to exit. Not before turning over his shoulder and reprimanding the white haired imp, "I'm going to go help the first years with some training, and you're never going to bring this up again. Got it?"
Gojo gave a mock salute and smirked.
Kento was going to punch him.
He shook his head and turned on his heel, heading out the door. Training the first years was just the distraction he needed.
But, this distraction only lasted for so long.
When Kento arrived at his apartment later that evening, he was still thinking about you.
It was driving him mad.
He was a simple man.
A man with a routine.
And now that routine had been interrupted.
He hated you for it!
You had disrupted the delicate balance of his life, and it was driving him insane.
The fact that you had no idea that your very existence was a problem was the worst part.
Your ignorance was a constant annoyance.
But, he couldn't help but wonder if you ever thought about him throughout your day.
Probably not.
Why would you?
You barely knew each other.
Even after weeks of the same interactions every morning, you both had yet to speak. If they could even be called interactions. It was more so Kento ogling observing you from behind, taking note of the things you wore, and which outfits he thought looked best on you. In a strictly blasé- pass the time- way, of course.
All while you gave him the occasional glace when waiting for your order.
You never initiated conversation, and you never questioned his silence.
The most interaction you two had was when he told you to get the blueberry muffin that first time. And even that didn't count as conversation.
So no, you probably didn't think about him throughout your day.
But Kento thought about you.
You were slowly becoming the first thing he thought about when he woke up, and the last thing before he drifted off to sleep.
He would lay awake for sometimes hours at night, his mind wandering, wondering what you were doing, how your day was, why you chose his bakery? And most of all- who the hell were you?
This had become his new routine.
You had become his new routine.
And he hated it.
So, naturally, Kento had come to the conclusion that you were his problem- It was easier that way.
To paint you as the villain, and blame his sleepless nights and unproductive days all on you.
Even though deep down, he knew it not to be true.
Which is why it was confusing for him the next morning when you changed his routine, yet again- he wasn't mad. Instead he was amused.
Kento walked into the coffee shop same time as always, but was surprised to see you looking up at the menu, just like you had been that first day.
It was the same exact scenario.
You had decided to change things up after realizing that you've only ever gotten the blueberry muffin everyday- per the recommendation of the frequent stranger.
That attractive, blonde, intimidating stranger.
The stranger who stood behind you in line everyday, who was always wearing a suit.
The stranger whose voice was smooth, and made you just a little bit weak in the knees.
Okay, maybe more than a little bit.
So, there you were.
Standing at the counter, perusing the menu, once again.
Kento was pleasantly surprised. He was expecting another day of your usual blueberry muffin order.
Maybe it was time to step out of his comfort zone?
"Having trouble deciding again?" Kento's low voice came from behind.
You turned around and gave him a sheepish smile, "Yeah, I wanted to try something new today."
Kento hummed in response.
You turned back around, and Kento took a moment to check out take in today’s outfit. You were always dressed so professionally, what did you do for a living?
He was snapped out of his thoughts by the sound of your voice, "I don't suppose you'd be able to make another suggestion?" You looked over your shoulder, with a nervous smile.
Kento was taken aback. You were asking him for help?
He could have sworn the earth was about to implode.
This was yet another disturbance in his routine.
Kento had been standing behind you in the mornings for weeks now, and not once had you spoken to him.
Maybe this could be a second chance.
Maybe, if he got your name he’d be able to get some sleep at night.
That’s what it was.
He was just worked up over not being able to put a name to your face.
Once he had that information, his life would go on per usual.
"Well," Kento started, "I think the pumpkin bread is the best thing on the menu during this time of the year."
You smiled, thanking him and turned to the cashier who had overheard his suggestion, "I'll have that and a plain coffee, please."
The cashier nodded and went to make your order. You moved to the side to wait, and Kento was right behind you after he placed his order.
He wasn't sure if you'd start a conversation, or if he should.
But then, the barista called your order number, and his eyes widened.
Kento's face turned into a scowl. Fuck, he was blowing it again!
He had finally been given a chance, and now he had fucked it up. He didn't know your name, yet.
"Thank you again for the help," You said politely and picked up your coffee, "I'll see you tomorrow."
And with that, you left.
His heart stopped, and his stomach dropped when he watched you walk out the door.
What a stupid mistake.
He was a fool, and had just let his chance walk out the door.
Wait-
Tomorrow.
Tomorrow.
You told him you would see him tomorrow.
Tomorrow was his chance.
He wasn't sure if you had intended the remark as a promise, but Kento took it as such.
Now, he was determined. Determined to know your name. The name of his little problem.
A problem that, deep down, he was secretly beginning to welcome.

A Canine and His Cat
Yandere Male Dog Hybrid x Feminized Male Cat Hybrid Reader (CW: Noncon, male reader, feminization, rimjob, scent kink, non-human genitals, stalking, kidnapping, pissmarking (the reader is not scent marked just a building), bullying, general yandere behavior, heat cycles but not a/b/o and no mpreg)  Word Count: 3.1k (I wrote this between the hours of 11pm and 7am, not beta read, I proofread this to the best of my ability but I am sleepy and dizzy, please excuse any errors, I hope you guys enjoy this and I am sorry for two dog men in a row, but I had the idea of a dog man bully and a cat man victim and had to write it up immediately. Also I purposefully left the yandere’s description vague because I want readers to imagine him however they want, and I thought if he ever gets fanart it would be fun to see what subspecies of dog hybrid readers see him as.)
You did not know why Shale insisted on being so mean to you, he had targeted you from the moment you had first met in college, he was a junior at the time and you had been a sophomore but you still shared a few classes. And he made those classes miserable.  At first you just assumed it was because he was a dog hybrid and you were a cat hybrid, and sometimes there was an instinctual animosity between certain hybrids, but that theory was quickly discredited when you noticed that he was nothing but civil with all the other members of your subspecies.  Whatever the reason for his personal vendetta against you it would not be a problem for too much longer, the end of the year was now approaching and he was now a senior. Which meant you would only have to keep your head down and avoid the brute for a little longer before he graduated and you would never have to see him or deal with any of his bullshit ever again. It was a happy thought.  You had thought your years in university would have been relatively fun, meeting people with new interests, getting to know other students in your field, and taking part in new clubs and hobbies. But for over a year now it seemed that all of your friendships had simply fallen off and faded away, all your applications into clubs were denied, and no one wanted to be associated with you.  The conclusion you came to was that no one wanted to be associated with someone who had drawn the ire of the star basketball player. And while that was part of it the reality was even worse, Shale was using his connections and influence to make sure no club would accept you and he subtly threatened anyone who even seemed like they were starting a friendship with you.  It was not just that people wanted to avoid someone being bullied by him, it was that he was actively ruining your social life. Shale didn’t know why, at first, but he really needed you to be completely disconnected from everyone and everything. After months of tormenting you he realized that wasn’t strictly true, he just needed you completely disconnected from everyone and everything that wasn’t him.  He was going to break you down until you were a lonely little mess that needed him to come in and clean you up. Over the course of your sophomore and junior years he just could not help himself, and he had no desire to either.  Shale never missed a chance to make fun of you in class, and sometimes he made you do his homework. But the most infuriating thing he did was sometimes leave one of his jerseys or jocks in your locker, typically when they were ripe with sweat after he won a big game. How did he even get them in!? You could tell by scent that it was him, but even if you couldn’t he would always remark to you that you shouldn’t throw away his “gift” because once he went pro it would be the most valuable thing you ever owned. Ugh, the arrogance, it made your fur bristle.  And since you lived alone in an extra small apartment reserved for hybrid students that had to deal with heats, as even male cat hybrids did, singling you out outside of classes was all too easy for your tormentor. The infuriating dog man left mocking notes on your door, sometimes he waited in front of your place just to make fun of you directly, and he even fucking piss marked around the entire outside of the building as if it was his property! You could tell immediately who it was by the acrid stench in your sensitive nose.  Of course you filed complaint after complaint, but the college did absolutely nothing, even implying that you were making it up for attention. Of course they did, what did you expect, he was a star athlete that brought them a ton of profit and prestige. Why would they take any action to ruin that just to make one little cat hybrid safe?  At any rate your plan to avoid him and keep to yourself was at least partially working, it helped that you only had one class with him this term, but you interacting with him less made him decide that he needed to escalate things. During your next lab assignment he made SURE that you would have to be partnered with him.  Your class was dismissed and told to find someone to work on an anatomy project with. You had to pick a subject to study, go into great detail about a specific part of its anatomy and physiology, and explain how and why it had evolved that way.  You looked desperately around the large room for any other free classmate, a lifeboat in the rising tide of dread, but everyone else was already partnered up. All you found was Shale looking at you with his trademark smirk.  “Hey, bet you love this chance to hang out with me, don’t you loser?”  The way he looked at you with those red eyes of his made you want to scratch up his face.  “Yeah, it’s my life’s dream to be subjected to more of your bullshit,” you quipped dryly. “I just want to get this over with, when do you want to work on it?”  “Yeah, whatever, I can come by in a couple hours after practice.” He gathered his materials and went on his way. You knew this would be hell for you. But you had no idea how bad things were about to get for you.  Shale had executed his plan well, he could smell you just starting to enter your heat cycle and he knew you would be slightly more vulnerable during this time period. You were not worried about working on the project tonight though because it was only just starting to happen and you would not have to even miss any classes except for a couple days when it was most intense.  You tidied up your tiny apartment and waited for Blockhead to show up, when he did you opened the door and greeted him with all of the enthusiasm of a kid going to the dentist, and let him in. You could immediately tell by his smell that he had not showered after his practice.  “Jeez, why so cold, girly?” He smirked and looked at you with those red eyes of his, happy knowing he got the reaction he wanted as your ears moved back and you shot him a glare.  That was one of your biggest pet peeves and Shale had sniffed it out like the dog he was, despite very clearly being male he always called you a girl. Sure, you were not really strong or masculine, but you definitely did not appear to be a female either.  “I swear to god! Can we please just do this assignment!? Five seconds here and I am already sick of you.” You growled a bit to emphasize you were not happy.  “Damn, fine, you’re really feisty today princess’” You grumbled under your breath as you both took a seat at the table sitting beside one another and got out your laptops to type and research on. “What do you want to do our assignment on?” You asked, not looking up from your laptop.  “Well, I wanna do our assignment on a cute kitty girl’s heat and see if a dog man can make it progress faster!” He looked at you suggestively. “Wh-what!? Uh… how would we even do that? I don’t think I want to do a project on th-”  He interrupted your sputtering reply by rubbing his strong hand up your thigh, your face turned beet red and it took you a moment to come to your senses and swat his hand away.  “I know it takes three days for your cycle to start fully, I can always smell it on you even before it really begins, come on kitten, let’s see if we can jump start it~” He reached for you but you pulled away and got out of your chair.  “I-i’m not a cat girl! I am a man, I cannot even have kids! Uh, so we can’t do that project! St-stay away from me!” You backed up until you were up against the wall and you tossed a small vase with a plant in his direction.  He caught it and put it down and chuckled as he stepped forward, “Hey, don’t put yourself down, have you ever tried making babies? We can try real hard right now if you want to~ Even if you can’t there are plenty of women who can’t get knocked up!”  “Uh, I have a dick! I really don’t think trying to get knocked up will help…” You ran and dove past him and made it to the door but he caught you by the legs and carried you to your bed as you kicked and screamed.  “Come on, there's no harm in just trying~ And that’s kinda transphobic baby girl, plenty of girls have dicks. I bet yours is reeeeeally cute~” In Shale’s mind you had to be a girl, because he was so attracted to everything about you from your feisty attitude, to your cute cat ears and tail, even your lovely smell, and he was not attracted to men. So that must mean you were a girl.  You swiped at him with your claws extended, but he easily dodged the swipes then caught your wrists and held them over your head with one hand. The other hand stroked your face tenderly before softly touching your furry ears.  “So soft~ I always knew they would be!” His tail wagged happily as you wiggled and writhed beneath him. “You really need to calm down kitten, because I really want an A+ on this assignment, let’s see if we can get your heat started and whether or not we can grow some pups in that tummy.”  You began screaming and shrieking as loudly as you could before Shale took a shirt that had been lying on your bed and used it to gag you completely. Then he took his pants off and used them to tie your arms up behind your head after he removed your shirt.  Now you could only kick, but after he pulled off your pants and underwear he used more clothing to tie your legs to the bed posts.  “I was right! Your little cock is fucking adorable~” He leaned down and kissed the tip before climbing on top of you and sniffing you thoroughly. His eager nose probed from your underarms to your neck.  “Fuck, you smell so good, you have no idea how long I wanted to enjoy your scent up close.” You tried growling and wiggling in response but he just chuckled, “Haha, are you that needy to have my cock in you? Be patient, I'll get to it!”  You just struggled harder in response, you did not want his dick in you!  Shale got between your legs and stroked your cock a couple times while licking your nuts before putting your entire dick in his mouth and sucking it like it was the most delicious thing in the world. He went back and forth a while between sucking your cock and licking and kissing your balls.  You could not help but to instinctively thrust your hips towards his warm mouth, though you still did not want this by any means. Though Shale definitely took it as a sign that you were starting to become more willing.  Shale decided that before he tried his best to fill you up full of babies he needed to prep you. So he stayed between your legs and started lapping his eager tongue all over your hole. You squirmed in a mix of defiance and pleasure as his talented tongue lapped deeply at your inner walls. He finished by kissing your hole before spitting on it to make sure it was extra wet and ready for his cock.  The horny dog hybrid removed his underwear and you saw his cock bounce free, it was big, red, slimy, and completely unsheathed. He placed the tapered tip at your hole and slowly slid himself inside you, instantly rubbing your prostate and making you jerk and moan in pleasure through the gag.  Shale wanted to hear your moans for himself and he was sure he had jump-started your heat, judging from how warm your insides had gotten and how you had started twitching with pleasure and letting out muffled moans and gasps.  Even if he did not have any of those cues to go off of he could certainly smell that your cycle had rapidly reached a crescendo under his ministrations. He was correct in his prediction that you would not try to scream anymore, it felt so nice to have a cock in you during your heat.  It was by far the most amazing thing you had ever experienced and it was just too easy to succumb to the pleasure Shale was causing you.  As he continued to lose himself in the sensation of your hot insides his knot swole up and tied the two of you together, you were stretched well enough to accommodate it without any pain, but when it rubbed against that special sensitive spot inside of you you saw stars and came all over your belly with a loud moan.  He could feel your entire body shudder around his cock as he kept plowing deeply into your tight ass. You looked up at him with a pouting expression.  “Please let my hands go!” You seemed like you were about to cry and he trusted at this point that you wouldn’t try anything so he untied your arms and you immediately threw your arms around him and clung tightly to him.  Shale managed to then free your legs too and you automatically wrapped your legs around him, your whole body clinging to his as he picked you up and kept breeding you. You were already hard again as Shale battered your prostate. You were drooling and whining in his arms, desperate for another release, as he bit your neck possessively and left his mark there. You could feel his cock quiver as it started shooting thick cum and filled up your insides.
"Fuck babe, your pussy is amazing, you really thought you weren't a girl when you have a cunt like this?"  Shale sat down with you on the bed, he knew his kitten needed to cum again so he gently rocked his knot back and forth with slow deliberate thrusts inside you while massaging your balls until you hit your second climax.  You were suddenly so tired, it was as if the energy expended during your previous struggles, your rapid progression through your heat cycle, being fucked into oblivion, and cumming so hard was all hitting you at once.  Your lover could see how tired his girl was so he held the back of your head and nestled it into his strong chest until you fell asleep while he waited for his knot to deflate. His heart melted as you began purring while snuggling up to him and he knew that what he was about to do was the right thing.  When you woke up the first thing you noticed was that you were burning up and aroused, right in the middle of your heat. The second thing you noticed was that you were no longer in your apartment, you were on a strange bed in a strange room. Shale must have cleaned you up because there was no trace left on your body of what had happened before you went to sleep.  You noticed that you had been dressed in a short skirt and thigh high stockings and there was a collar on your neck with a little bell on it. It felt like it was made of leather but it was something much more durable and you had no hope of removing it.  When you got out of the bed to look around at your strange surroundings you noticed it was tied to a long cord, it was long enough to let you move about the room, and get to the adjoining room which appeared to be a bathroom, but you could not get near the door.  In the corner of the room you noticed something unsettling, it looked like someone had made a shrine to you, it was covered in really odd photos you had certainly not taken yourself and laid out in front of the photos were some of your personal things. A brush that had gone missing from your apartment, a pair of underwear, some pages from assignments Shale had made you do for him, and a poem you had written that should have been in one of your journals that you liked to write in.  The implication of what someone had to do to get all those things made you uneasy.  You jumped back in fright as you heard someone unlatch the door. Shale walked in with a great big grin on his face.  “Sorry I was late, baby girl, but I had a morning class today!” He came over to you acting as if absolutely nothing was out of place. Like he had not just kidnapped you after fucking you silly.  “What the fuck!? You can’t just keep me here!” You hissed and swiped at him again.  “Awe, calm down kitten, no need to get all angry. It’s just that I am graduating soon and I could not have my girlfriend leaving me so I bought this house with my signing bonus! You can stay here while I finish up classes and after that I will only be gone to do practices and games.” He pulled you close and kissed your forehead.  “If you behave you can even come with me to those too and we never have to be apart. But this cord is staying on until I am sure you will be good to make sure you don’t try to run off.” His tail started wagging at the thought of always having you there with him, his own personal cheerleader spurring him on during every game and practice.  “What about my classes!?” You looked at him with dismay, he was serious, he was really going to keep you here.  “Don’t worry your pretty little head, you don’t need to work, you’ll be my housewife! Now let’s get you to the bed, I can smell that you’re still in heat and I want to make sure your urges are all taken care of.”  With a defeated sigh you let him take you by the hand and lead you to the bed, there was no way you could escape him, so you might as well make the most of it.

❥When you moved into the neighborhood, you immediately noticed that you were a bit…different. Flatter than the other residents…as in they were all 3D while you were 2D.
❥Everyone flocked you, curious as to how that was even possible. So you explained how you came from a town that was a bit more…animated. They were in awe as you told tales of your hometown. Even commenting on how they wanted to visit some day.
❥Even with all the commotion of your new neighbors, you couldn’t help but keep your eyes on a certain yellow puppet. He watched from behind the others, gaze never leaving you. You couldn’t help but let your ego grow a bit, flaunting a bit more than you already do.
❥All the attention your first day left you a bit overwhelmed. Yes, you’ve dealt with crowds before when you worked as a singer at a bar in your hometown, but this kind of attention was different. It wasn’t the perverted stares you grew accustomed to. In fact, that was a bit of the reason why you left.
❥Even though you were overwhelmed the first day, you couldn’t help but appreciate how kind your new neighbors were. Once they learned that you were a singer they just had to have you perform (a bit to Sally’s dismay. But you're the new neighbor so she can let you have the spotlight this time).
❥As you sung a love song, your gaze was once again drawn to who you’ve come to know as Wally Darling. A fitting name, truely. His stare was intense as he watched you. You’d think you’d be creeped out by it, but you didn’t. In fact, you felt flattered. Compared to the creeps at the bar who’d oogle at you without shame, who’d cat call, who’d stare at you like you were lesser for whatever reasons…Wally’s stare was nothing like that. A bit empty, sure, but it wasn’t disrespectful or perverted.
❥Day by day, you found yourself growing infatuated with Wally. You wanted to spend more time with him. Get to know him better. Maybe even entertain an idea of something more.
❥It didn’t help that you caught on to his small shows of affection. His stare lingering on you being the tell-tale one. But you also caught him touching you, whether it be a pat on the shoulder or a short hug. How he gifted you things, sometimes a drawing, or just something that ‘reminded him of you’ (which made you feel more confident at the fact that he thinks about you).
❥You were the first to finally make a move. The entire neighborhood knew about the flirting you two participated in, not like you were keeping it a secret. But you could tell that Wally didn’t seem like he was going to do anything further than that.
❥Let’s just say everyone was relieved when you two became partners. Only to realize they’d have to deal with even more lovey dovey flirting afterwards.

Quite Nights
Sukuna Ryomen x Reader
Note: You and Sukuna go on a night ride together. It's fluff, no smut. Art not mine, credit goes to the artist.
Tumblr media
You hugged your boyfriend tightly as he smoothly drove in full speed through the night city of Shibuya. He smirked to himself when he caught your hands roaming on his abs through his thin black turtleneck. He relished in your warm touch as the cold winter air hit him. The night was indeed beautiful but being with him was what made it even better. Sukuna might not be quite a nice guy to others, but to you, he was more than kind. Always looking out for you, all the time, despite being known for his notorious behavior in your college. It didn't took you long to be his girlfriend when he asked you out, as you already had feeling for the man.
The dazzling city lights shone like thousand of diamonds on the night sky. The skyscrapers stood tall, illuminating it. Small restaurants that were present all across the streets, had a calm and cozy vibe to them. Being out late at night wasn't something your parents allowed, but now that you were at hostel, it wasn't a problem for now. Sukuna was the first person who gave you that sense of safety and freedom. Though all your classmates warned you to stay away from him, there was always something so endearing about him that instead of moving away, you were drawn closer. Today was just one of the many nights when after a tiring week of exams and pressure, you and Sukuna would hangout at night to calm your nerves.
Sukuna isn't someone who likes fancy dates in expensive restaurants or night clubs. He as well as you, were someone who would prefer quite places instead of the banging music that hit your eardrums and noisy people dancing like maniacs around you. When you started dating, you both hit off pretty well since the beginning.
Sukuna soon pulled over near an abandoned park. You both had accidentally discovered this park when you were on your night rides. It was a beautiful park with the river view and greenary. It was abandoned because of the ghost rumors surrounding the place, as there was a graveyard nearby. But not that both of you minded that shit anyway. All you cared about was a nice view and quite place, which passed both of your vibe check, so it had now become your secret hanging spot.
Sukuna helped you climbing the broken fence as you purposefully jumped into his arms like a cat. He chuckled at your childishness, as he knew exactly what were your intentions. He lifted you up as if you weighed nothing and brought you up to the bench that was present near the river side gently putting you down before settling himself beside you.
Sukuna: Here, take this, I know you are cold after the long ride.
He said while handling you his jacket but you refused.
Y/n: Hey, wait don't remove it, or you'll get cold too, let me just hug you instead. We both can fit in it after all.
Sukuna: Haha, aren't you quite clingier than usual today?? Not that I mind, come here.
You closed the gap between you two as Sukuna wrapped his arms around you. It was quite comfy and warm in his arms, now that his body heat was much better than any other random sweater. You clinged onto him tighter as his warm breath hit your cheeks.
Y/n: You know?? You are warmer than any sweater I ever wore? It's kinda amazing actually.
Sukuna: Really?? I am glad to know that, but I bet, it can get even more warm if we did something else.
It took you a hot second to realize what he meant, but when you did, your cheeks flushed as you playfully smacked his arm. Dirty talks were a thing which you both always did, but he somehow always found a way to make you blush.
He ruffled your hair playfully and pulled out two beer cans from his pocket.
Sukuna: Here...
Y/n: Thanks, it's a lot needed after a month of assignments and tests that never end.
Sukuna: Yeah, but enough about that, let's enjoy the view together.
Silence spread as you both stared at the lights that shimmered across the flowing river. The wasn't any other noise, except the crickets and rustling of leaves due to wind and your peaceful breathing. Nothing was more comforting than this, nestled in your boyfriend's arms and sipping on beer as you enjoyed the view without any disturbance of others. It was as if you two were completely disconnected from the world. It was your world where only you both existed. No noise, no people, no problems and no unnecessary banter and annoying laughs. It was quite and peaceful. You both didn't mind sitting quietly next to each other without talking much, because what mattered was company and not conversation, as it could always be done some other time.
You both exchanged some talks and appreciated the tranquil that you felt after a long time. It was relieving. His red eyes shine brightly every time he talks to you, those are even more precious to you than all the diamonds in the world combined. Once your beer cans were empty, you both simply cuddled with each other. Talking, laughing on one another's jokes and kissing in between, just to tease each other, but some kisses were longer than what could be called teasing, as it proved just how much you missed the other.
Conversation wasn't always necessary in your relationship with him, as he always understood you without it. He is the first person you ever felt comfortable and safe with, someone who understands you without any words involved, isn't that a rare thing?? You are rather sure that he is your soul mate. He too always felt the same way, as after being through a rough childhood, you were the only one who understood him when no one did. So even if he doesn't necessarily admit it, he is more clingier than you, even though you have noticed that you chose silence as he is cute when he denies your claim all the time.
As you were slowly drifting off to sleep in his warmth he watched you lovingly as his hand moved to stroke your hair. He gently lifted you, to which you hugged him tighter. Once you both lazily crossed the fence and started your return journey home, you wondered when the next time you can come back here with him. Your peers always questioned you on where you two disappear at some nights, but you both always keep your mouth shut as this spot was your second home by now, a secret hideout where you two can be yourself, without any facades. You were sure to cling onto him and your second home forever as the night passed quickly by the time you reached hostel. Waving your goodbye to him, you hoped that maybe some day, in the near future, when you both will graduate together, you won't have to say goodbye anymore and could stay the night together huddled up in his warm embrace forever.
Some comfort for y'all and me after what's going on in Shibuya arc. 😶‍🌫

“Are… are you okay?” – you asked approaching the guy sitting on a bench. He was clearly sobbing. You had seen many bystanders ignore him due to his funky cowboy outfit. You couldn’t ignore him as your mind kept being drawn to him. Gently extending your hand, you touched his shoulder. It startled him. Making him turn jumpy to you, looking in shock at you. Now you had a good view of his face. – “Are you alright?” – you asked again.
He wiped a hand aggressively over his face. Clearing his throat afterwards, puffing his chest a bit up. – “I… I had something in my eye.” – he answered trying to sound confident. – “Okay.” – you replied not wanting to hurt his pride, although there was nothing wrong with a good cry. You already turned half away, not sure what more you could do.
You were about a few steps away from him when he got up. – “Wait!” – he called out making you stop. He came jogging over, the ruffles on his shirt waving with his movement. – “You… you came over to me?” – he said.
His expression made you unsure what he meant by that. – “Yes…” – you replied hesitant. He started to smile. A bit too energetic. – “You came to me… on your own… you a girl!” – he expressed overjoyed. It made you frown at him. – “Was that… wrong?” – you questioned not sure anymore. The man grabbed you by your shoulders tight, shaking his head. – “No, no not at all.” – he spoke.
“You see Barbie never comes over to me. It is always me going up to see her.” – he explained with a few hand gestures. – “Barbie?” – you cut in confused. – “Yes Barbie.” – he answered a bit bitsy, wanting to gush more about Barbie. You weren’t listening much further as you tried to work your brain over it.
“Are… are you talking about Barbie from Mattel?” – you asked with a quizzable brow. The man tilted his head confused at you. – “What’s a Mattel?” – he wanted to know. – “Barbie!” – you said loud, arguing with him about it. The man laughed chuckles. – “No Barbie is Barbie.” – he said dreamy.
He continued to gush about Barbie and how he sort of lost her. You tried to follow with his story, but it seemed very odd. Till you got an intrusive thought. – “Wait are you Ken?” – you shouted holding your hand up. The man went silent, blinking confused at you. – “You… you know me.” – he said in a sweet tone. Your eyes went wide before you laughed. Laughs quickly dying out when he stared all serious at you.
“Sorry.” – you apologized. – “So… so you lost your Barbie?” – you spoke after some silence to start the conversation once more. Ken nodded with pouted lips. – “Where… where did you last see her?” – you asked. Ken scratched his head, lifting the cowboy hat a bit up. – “There were smaller people.” – he responded thoughtfully.
“How tall?” – you questioned. Ken moved his hand to his hip, then moving it up till he lowered it doubtfully down once more. – “Okay a school then.” – you let out. You were about to lead the way till you realized you weren’t sure if he wanted you to tag along. – “Do you mind if I come with you? Help you find Barbie.” – you asked. Ken shook his head.
You gestured in a direction, walking beside Ken.  – “I’m Y/n.” – you said holding your hand out. – “Ken.” – he responded staring at your hand for a moment before shaking it happily. It made you chuckle at how adorably unaware he is. Ken smiled back at you, making sure he staid at your side as you navigated him through the city. You arrived at the school, yet there was no sign of Barbie. – “I don’t see her?” – Ken said, overlooking the deserted playground.
You checked your watch, seeing school had ended half an hour ago. – “I’ll see if anyone is still inside to ask.” – you suggested taking a few steps. You paused seeing that Ken wasn’t following you. – “Aren’t you coming?” – you questioned. Ken jump up straight, jogging over. – “I didn’t think you’d want me along.” – he said as you held the door open for him.
“Why would I not…” – you started, already filling in the rest in your mind. The way he was talking before, made you think he wasn’t used to being put first or feel wanted. Ken and you walked in, going up to the teacher’s lounge.
Knocking on the door, you heard a yes to enter. – “Hi, I’ve got a quick question.” – you said looking at the man drinking his coffee. Ken moved his hand up, saying softly ‘hi’ as it made you lower his hand. – “Have you noticed a woman around her, answering to the name Barbie?” – you asked. The man raised his eyebrow, setting his coffee down.
“She’s probably the prettiest woman you had ever seen in your life. Blonde hair. Lot’s of pink?” – you turned to Ken for validation that you were describing her well. Ken nodded letting you know you were on the right track. – “Left a long time.” – the man answered. – “Do you know where?” – you asked. – “Beats me.” – the man answered. You tugged on Ken’s sleeve, pulling him back outside with you.
Outside Ken went dramatically over to a wall, leaning his arm against it to sob. – “Don’t worry Ken, we’ll find Barbie.” – you reassured him. He sniffed loud. – “You think so?” – he asked looking at you. You nodded with a smile. Ken ran over to you, throwing his arms around you. – “You are awesome Y/n.” – he expressed letting go off you.
It made you laugh shyly. Ken and you left the school. – “Where do you want to look?” – you suggested. Ken looked confused at you. – “You… you want me to choose?” – he let out. You nodded with a smile. – “You know Barbie best. Where do you think she would go?” – you replied. Ken thought for a moment, trying to look cool. – “There!” – he called out slapping his arm out, almost hitting you in the face as it made you jump startled back.
“Come on Y/n.” – Ken took your hand, dragging you with him. Ken and you walked the beach line off. You noticed Ken looking questionable at you. – “Do you have something to ask Ken?” – you said nervous. Ken took a deep breath. – “What is your specialty?” – he asked making you frown. – “My specialty?” – you repeated. – “Mine is beach.” – he let you know. – “So you are beach Ken?” – you suggested. Ken nodded. – “So what about you?” – he asked again.
You hummed curious. – “I’m not exactly sure. I’m not that special Ken…”  - you answered looking away. Ken touched your arm, making you stop. – “I’m not Barbie.” – you told him, knowing you weren’t as special as Barbie. The girl that could do anything. This was the real world. Girls weren’t as perfect as Barbie. Ken’s hand slipped off your arm once you started walking again. – “You aren’t…” – Ken said questionable to himself.
Clearly seeing a difference between Barbie and you. Ken caught up with you again. His eye falling on the men that walked by. It made him try to look serious or cool. Puffing his chest a bit up. A couple walked past the two of you, making Ken follow their movement, even when they were past him. Looking over his shoulder to see them hold hands. It made him look at his own hand for a moment. A bit further away on the beach, he saw another couple.
The man having his arm over the girl’s shoulder and she didn’t seem to be annoyed by it. It made Ken have a lot of questions. You stopped for a moment, looking around for a blonde girl dressed in full pink. One that would scream Barbie. – “Hey uhm Y/n.” – Ken asked tapping you on the shoulder. You hummed loud to listen to his question.
“Do you think Barbie will hold hands with me when we find her?” – he asked locking his fingers together. – “I’m sure she will.” – you told him with a smile. Ken and you continued your search for Barbie. There was little luck as she could be anywhere. It was getting darker as you knew you couldn’t keep up the search for hours.
“Ken… it’s getting dark… we should continue this tomorrow.” – you said pointing at the sky. Ken looked up. – “Can’t we keep searching in the dark?” – he asked. – “No Ken.” – you finished. – “Do… do you have a place to stay?” – you asked finding it a silly question afterwards. – “You can come over to my house.” – you suggested. – “Why?” – Ken said frowning. – “We’re not boyfriend and girlfriend.” – he let out finding it odd you were inviting him over to your dreamhouse. – “But we’re friends are we not?” – you replied feeling a bit shy.
Ken inhaled deep moving his arm up to show you his muscles. – “Sure.” – he said all cool. You laughed as Ken noticed it. Making him smile to see your laugh was genuine. You led Ken to your house when the sky was darkening. Ken ran inside going immediately for your bed. He let himself fall on it with a content breath. He rolled over, moving his hands behind his head.
“You have a nice dreamhouse Y/n.” – he said looking around. – “Thank you Ken.” – you responded. Ken sat up, bouncing a bit on your matrass. – “You can have the bed for tonight if you like.” – you offered. Ken’s eyes widened. – “Just a moment.”  - he said cooly. He got up disappearing into another room. – “Sublime!” – you heard him call out loud before returning. You found it sweet, laughing giddy.
Ken returned his eyes falling on the guitar in the corner. He ran over to it, grabbing it. Hugging it a bit as if having missed an old friend. – “Do you play?” – you asked. Ken cleared his throat, changing his posture. – “I do.” – he said making his voice deeper. – “Will you play for me?” – you gestured at a seat for him to sit.
Ken took a seat placing the guitar in front of him. You came sitting by him. Ken started playing the guitar as you looked in admiration at him. It made Ken smirk. You gasped surprised when he started singing, serenating for you. His gaze fixated on you as it made you feel bashful. Smiling dreamily back at him. Ken winked at you as it made you press your lips together to withhold a squeal.
Ken caught himself smiling the entire time while gazing at you. His smile slowly fading away as he became aware of what was happening. His words faded out as he stopped playing. – “Did… did I do something wrong?” – you asked watching him put the guitar away. – “No…” – Ken answered with a saddened smile.
Your smile faded as well. – “I’m not Barbie…” – you said having an idea of it. – “Y/n…” – Ken started as you didn’t want to hear his sympathy for you. You got up trying not to cry at how much pain that gave you. – “Y/n.” – Ken said getting up to go after you. You paused turning your head a bit to the side. – “Tomorrow we’ll find Barbie and you’ll return with her to Barbieland. And I will stay here. Don’t worry Ken, you’ll forget about me soon.” – you said over your shoulder before going into a room.
Ken went after you, being met up with a door in his face. He swallowed hurtful, lowering his head. You let your head fall back against the door. Exhaling deep, knowing you were falling for him. Falling for Ken. Someone who only had eyes for Barbie. Perfect Barbie.
Ken laid himself on the bed, staring at the ceiling. Rolling over to the side, he couldn’t deny what your attention made him feel like. It was different then with Barbie. He actually felt heard and seen. You hadn’t once rolled your eyes at him, found him annoying or send him away because it was girl’s night. Yet Barbie. Barbie was the one that called his heart.
Ken and you encountered each other at the same time in the living room. He had changed his cowboy clothes for something else. Ken and you shared an awkward gaze. – “Y/n… I…” – Ken began as you weren’t in the mood for his words of sympathy. – “We’ve got Barbie to find.” – you said leaving out the door. Ken followed in silence. Taking a deep breath, you wondered where you’d start looking.
Ken and you went down the street back to the beach where you searched last night. – “Y/n may I suggest something?” – Ken said nervously. – “Sure.” – you replied as he revealed a pair of skates. – “Can we skate?” – he asked. – “Where did you get those?” – you replied surprised. – “I never go anywhere without them.” – he told you.
“I don’t have any skates.” – you told Ken. Ken grabbed you by the wrist. – “We’ll get you a pair.” – he said happily. Overjoyed he got to skate. Ken found you a pair of skates, which you paid for. You weren’t used to wearing skates so you were a bit clumsy with it.
Needing to do your very best not to fall. – “This way we’ll find Barbie faster.” – Ken called out going faster as you could barely keep up. – “Ken wait!” – you shouted for him to stop. He didn’t seem to hear you or listen to it, just skating forwards. You tried to skate harder and catch up with him, but your feet danced. Slipping and not curving into a straight line.
Arms flailing you tried to keep your balance till you fell down. Hard on your bottom. Your face contracted in pain. A shadow fell upon you, blocking out the sun. – “Are you alright?” – looking up, you met up with a man. Holding his hand out to you. Ken stopped skating, noticing you weren’t near him. He frantically looked around till his gaze fell upon you. Watching a man help you up to your feet. Ken’s expression hardened as he skated over.
“Are you sure you are alright?” – the man asked still holding your hand. – “I’ll probably get a bruise, but other than that I’m alright.” – you told him.  You gasped startled when Ken came bumping hard at him. Pushing the man aside. The man fell to the ground. – “Find your own real girl!” – he shouted at him. You stared in disbelieve at him.
Ken then took you by the hand, skating off with you. The man staring confused at Ken. – “Ken!” – you called out loud not sure what had gotten into him. Ken kept skating with you as you pulled hard at his hand. He came to a stop, coming to stand before you. – “What was that for?” – you said loud.
“He was holding your hand!” – Ken answered. – “I did not like that!” – he said shaking his head and moving his finger across. You smiled flustered. Nearing Ken, you pressed a small kiss against his cheek. Ken’s expression turned blank, touching his cheek where you had kissed him.
“Ken?” – Ken turned his head, snapping out of his daydream. His eyes widening when he saw her. – “Barbie!” – he called out, arms wide open as he skated over to her. He wrapped his arms around her as Barbie moved her head back. – “Okay Ken that’s enough.” – she said pushing him off. – “I’ve been searching everywhere for you Barbie.” – he said holding her hand. Barbie moved her hand up so that it would slip out of his grip. – “Come meet Y/n.” – he went on stepping aside so Barbie could see you.
You waved at Barbie. – “Who is she?” – Barbie asked. Ken went over to you, pushing you a bit closer to Barbie. – “She helped me find you.” – Ken said going back to Barbie. – “I even went to her dreamhouse.” – he whispered giddy. Barbie stared in shock at you. – “Nice to meet you Barbie.” – you spoke as it felt bittersweet. – “Ken we’re going home.” – Barbie declared.
“Okay.” – Ken simply said. He was ready to follow her when you stopped him. – “Ken!” – he turned back to you. – “Aren’t… aren’t you going to say goodbye?” – you asked with tears in your eyes. Ken looked at Barbie for confirmation. Barbie sighed soft, gesturing at you a little bit annoyed.
Ken skated over to you, stopping before you. He took your hand, shaking it excitingly. – “Thank you for helping me find Barbie.” – he said letting go of your hand. – “That’s it?” – you asked hurtful that the moment he saw Barbie, he forgot about you. Ken furrowed his brows a bit. – “I’ll see you again won’t I?” – Ken questioned as you shook your head. – “I can’t Ken… I have to stay here…” – you told him with a saddened smile. Ken looked saddened down as well.
You lifted his head up by his chin. – “Ken, you are very special, remember that.” – you told him as he gazed back at you. – “You are too me. More than Barbie.” – you finished brushing your thumb against his cheek. – “Ken!” – Barbie called out impatient. Ken had looked over his shoulder to her. – “Y/n…” – he started turning back to you. The rest of his words swallowed back in when your lips crashed against his. Ken kept his eyes open, looking confused for a moment.
When you retrieved your lips from his, he immediately missed the contact. Keeping your gaze low, you took a step back. Ken seemingly wanted to move closer to you, but Barbie called him over again. He turned his gaze away, going over to Barbie. Barbie and Ken skated off as you watched them leave. Knowing Ken would always choose Barbie. Ken looked back, having stopped for a moment as he saw you leaving.
Somehow it felt painful to leave you. – “Ken!” – Barbie groaned out. Ken simply obeyed Barbie and followed her back to Barbieland. Where everything was still the same. Where Ken didn’t have a dreamhouse and was never allowed in as every night was girl’s night.  -----------------------------------------

deer y/n,
Tumblr media
Summary: First part of letters to her. I recommend reading the prologue first.
Warnings: Ooc Kaz Brekker, I think one cuss word, terrible writing.
Note: Here it is! First part of the letters to her series. This is super short, I was struggling to figure out what to write for this letter, but I promise the rest are better. I am also trying a new writing style. Enjoy!
* ੈ✩‧₊˚
“Oh my.”
“What is it?”
Y/n managed to misplace her necklace—yet again—turning what was supposed to be a delightful date into a search mission for the elusive piece of jewelry.
Kaz was grateful she had agreed to getting some food and dining in. The past week had been a whirlwind of meetings with everyone in the forsaken city, leaving him overwhelmed. He'd endured an excessive amount of handshakes, enough to last a year, maybe three.
But Y/n understood. After all, she had been by his side since he could remember, never passing judgment on him for anything.
"Love?" He called out again. Kaz despised the silence. It could only mean two things: something good or something really bad.
“Y/n?” Usually, he was the type to lean towards options that gave him more than a fifty-fifty chance.
“Y/n!”
“Yes! Sorry I just-“
He found her in the dining room. “What is it?” As he approached, he noticed she was holding something in her hand. However, before he even had the chance to ask about it, she turned, fully facing him with her hand extended out.
"This," she said, glancing at what Kaz now recognized as an aged letter, "happens to be the first letter you ever wrote me."
She cleared her throat, preparing to read the letter to him.
“Deer Y/n,”
“For fuck’s sake.”
Kaz remembered that day with as much clarity as he remembered his lunch from a couple of hours ago.
It hadn't been anything out of the ordinary, no. Yet, he remembered it nonetheless.
“What is the matter with you?”
"Deer." He pointed at the word that was meant to be 'dear'. "Are you not reading?"
“I am and I’m well aware of the fact that is says deer. Once again, what’s the matter with you?”
“Can you put it away, it’s embarrassing.”
“Kaz, you were five.”
He had indeed been five, and apparently, not the brightest when it came to spelling. However, he laid the blame on his dad, who assured him it had looked good enough to send.
“How do you even have that still?”
“I could never lose it.”
“It’s just a letter, Y/n.”
“The first letter I ever got from you.” She corrected.
“It’s still just a letter, Y/n.”
“Whatever Kaz. It’s my most priced possession.”
He could tell she intended to keep reading the letter, but as her mouth open to let out the words, he noticed a mischievous glint in her eye.
“That and the drawing, of course.”
“The drawing?”
“The drawing.”
Kaz really had thought that it couldn’t get worse. Of course he hadn’t needed her to read the letter for him, so he had more than enough time to realize just how bad his grammar had once been.
But then, she decided to turn back around to grab the drawning and show him.
“I miss spots.” she said. In truth, he shared that sentiment. Spots had been his first and only pet.
He had entertained the idea of getting another pet with her. Perhaps another feline, or a loyal canine. Maybe even a crow. A replacement for the family he knew he couldn’t provide to her. “He was a great cat.”
“Indeed. He had to put up with you everyday.”
“I-, You know what? Same goes for you.”
That laugh. He was convinced that her laughter was the only force capable of resurrecting him from death. That and her eyes, of course, especially when they sparkled with mischievousness.
“Wait! Look,” Before he had a chance to see what she was pointing at, she covered the letter with her hand, completely defeating the purpose of asking someone to look.
“I am trying.”
"No, wait. Before I show you, you know how you always ask why I always sign: Love, my name, and then an exclamation mark with a heart instead of a dot?"
If he was honest, the question about her peculiar signature had crossed his mind only a couple of times. However, with the letter concealed and her mischievous grin, he wondered if uncovering the reason was a journey worth embarking on. “Mhmm...”
“Look!” She said while pointing at Kaz’s - or, well, five year old kaz’s signature. “Look, look, look, look, look.” Kaz couldn’t help but smile at her excitement, but he still couldn’t fathom why she was making such a fuss over his childhood attempt at penmanship. “Sweetheart, I am looking.”
There it was, his old signature in all its glory, proudly proclaiming, "Love, Kaz!"

okay why i am i OBSSESSED with ur works. Just had an idea. Maybe assassin reader is usually the sunshine golden retriever and tan is usually grumpy black cat vibes but when reader gets angry or is upset/ annoyed, tan turns into sunshine character cuz he doesn't like seeing reader upset and they switch roles for a minute. I kinda love the slow burn so i feel this dynamic is before and after they get together. idm if u do hcs for this. Loving ur writing atm :)))))
@12johnwick897 thank you so much for your kind words! love your support, my dear friend and i hope that you enjoy! feel free to send as many requests as you'd like! buckle up guys lol!
tangerine x golden retriever assassin reader headcanons:
tangerine is known to be extremely hot-headed and when he gets particularly angry, there is very little one can do to calm him down - somehow, though - your presence, your touch, and your voice all calm him down
if he's arguing with someone while on a mission, you'll put your hand on his shoulder and squeeze it gently, giving him a smile
he'll turn to you, brows furrowed and scowling, but his expression will soften and he'll become much more level-headed
you'll hold his hand too - the first time it happened he was cursing left and right, threatening the life out of someone. he didn't even realize your hand clasping his at first and when he does he becomes flustered and the anger just simmers out of him (i'm tempted to write a fic just for this scene 🤫)
from then on, he's much more open and vulnerable, going out of his way to seek your touch - whether it's the squeeze of your hand or the weight of your palm against his back
lemon catches on straight away and gives extremely knowing looks to tangerine, which you are oblivious to
lemon would be like "something to share with the class, tan? to which tangerine would merely reply with a "piss off..." and you would sigh thinking that they're just brothers being brothers
of course, you feel something beyond friendship for tangerine - you've always been drawn to him and felt something inexplicable for him; but, you're content with continuing this little dance of affection for fear of ruining your friendship if he doesn't feel the same (but of course he does)
now, you were usually his sunshine - you're like the light of his life, always hopeful, always positive. but every now and then, even you get upset.
the first time tangerine sees you truly, truly angry is when you two come across another assassin after the same job as the both of you; the assassin makes some comment about one of your prior friends
she and you had joined the agency at the same time, becoming assassins at a very young age. the two of you were inseparable until she had been killed on a mission. her death was a sore spot for you.
this assassin you faced had been her ex-boyfriend and a rather terrible one at that - he admitted with pleasure that he had been the one to kill her
with that one comment, your happy demeanor fades and you become a complete force to be reckoned with; you're beating this guy up before tangerine can even reach for his knuckle dusters
by the end of it, when the assassin's a bloody pile of a mess, tangerine is filled with a sense of awe but his heart also aches for you
he wishes to comfort you so he takes his hand into yours and doesn't let go. not even while he's driving back to the safe house after the mission, not when you get inside.
you're unbelievably silent and tangerine can make out the mixture of fury and sadness in your teary eyes. he takes you into his arms as if you're the only precious thing in this world and you fall apart. you're kenning, sobbing - you're mourning for someone you practically considered your sister
he understands the pain and runs his ringed hands down your back - you're holding him like you never want to let him go and he lets you; he wants to be there for you - always
when you've calmed down, he looks down at you and hesitates. even though you've been crying, tangerine thinks you look so beautiful. he fights the urge to kiss you right then and there and instead places a kiss on your forehead.
from then on, tangerine considers it his mission to ensure that whenever you're upset, he makes sure to be extra soft and caring with you - in a way that he's not with anyone else, not even lemon.
of course, he's still the same - easily infuriated and curses like a madman but you're there to calm him down and he's more thankful than ever for your presence.
things have changed though since that night when you got upset. tangerine has started to look at you differently - you'd find him gazing at you for a few seconds too long and when he'd look away, clearing his throat, you swore his face was slightly flushed.
lemon was beyond frustrated. he could tell- clear as day - that you were already in love with tangerine. similarly, he watched his brother long for you, fall in love with you.
how could both of you be so oblivious?
things changed on the bullet train. the tension between you and tangerine was palpable - so much so that even ladybug could sense it.
ladybug and maria start a bet on when you both will get together when he finds out that you and tan aren't together yet
ladybug only referring to tangerine as your "boyfriend" which irked you beyond belief - probably only because it upset you that it wasn't true
when ladybug and tan are fighting, ladybug would be like "woman, calm your psycho boyfriend down!" or "this is the same man i saw practically cuddling you when i walked past you earlier?!" or " i know a great therapist for couples' therapy, if that's something you'd be interested in"
when tan gets pushed off the train, you were furious at ladybug and terrified for tangerine. you definitely beat the shit out of ladybug before he managed to slip away.
when you bump into tangerine again after he makes his way back onto the train, you're in shock and then so thankful - you jump into his arms and hug him, tears in your eyes.
you thought you and lemon were going to die on this godforsaken train, leaving tangerine completely alone in this world.
and he's beautiful, even when he's all bloody and covered in broken glass. you can't help but notice that to the point that you realize you're just staring at him in silence.
he's looking at you with so much longing in his eyes and he leans toward you, his forehead against yours, and asks, "can i kiss you?"
you happily oblige and one thing leads to another - maybe a trip to the train bathroom for something a little more 😉
then you and him find lemon, who's thankfully still alive, but not without scaring the fuck out of you and tangerine at first when he practically arises from the dead.
then, the three of you decide to hop of the train - with or without ladybug, who - if he came along - would be thrilled to have won the bet over maria and would call her gleefully.
tangerine would be annoyed as hell by ladybug's antics but secretly thrilled because tan ended up with you in the end
and as your relationship continues to develop, you'll always be there to calm tangerine down with a simple touch and he'll do the same when you're upset
but he doesn't only become completely soft for you because he doesn't like to see you cry - it's because he realizes that you make him want to be a better person - you complete him.
AHH hope you guys enjoyed this and sorry it was so long!
