Summary: Hunter just wants to see his partner, but isn’t happy about the situation he finds you in.
Warnings: extremely mild mentions of violent intentions, vague sexual references, mild language
Author’s Note: ah this was so much fun to write! I’m sorry it took me so long, darling, but I hope you enjoy your protective!Hunter 💛🤟

Hunter hated being busy when they’d get a chance to land on Coruscant. He could often be seen glancing at the nearest chrono whenever he wasn’t being directly spoken to as he went through the seemingly endless missions.
He was in the middle of a meeting with Commander Cody when his comm pinged.
“Hangar 14, darling” the simple comm from you read.
Maker, he thought as he became more impatient. He hadn’t seen you in over forty rotations and he was getting desperate. Holoimages of your smile just weren’t enough; he needed the real thing. He just missed you, damn it. Your smile, your laugh, those eyes you’d give him when you wanted to get him alone. He missed the way your fingertips were permanently stained with engine grime. He missed the way you interacted with his brothers; playing games with Wrecker, actually listening to Tech, making snarky remarks with Crosshair.
“Sergeant? Are you listening?” Cody questioned, bringing Hunter back to the present.
“Sorry, sir. I’m a little…distracted,” Hunter mumbled.
“That’s alright, vod,” Cody chuckled. “I have some plans with my cyare after this as well. We can pick this back up tomorrow afternoon.”
“You may want to hurry, Hunter, I heard the Wolfpack is docking in 14,” Cody gave Hunter a pat on the shoulder, a smirk and conspiratorial wink on his face as he left.
Hunter scoffed a little before rushing off to see you.
It had been far too long since he saw your beautiful face, and he couldn’t help the butterflies in his stomach. As he approached Hangar 14, he looked around, trying to find the source of your laughter.
And there you were. You looked so kriffing pretty, despite the way your messy hair and the oil and grease that smeared across your body from your repair work. He was so distracted, a blissful expression painting over his face, that he didn’t realize what you were laughing at to begin with.
Slowly, he noticed them, the various members of the Wolfpack standing around you, one of them - Sinker, he thinks - regaling you with some kind of epic tale, his hands flying about wildly. You were laughing, clearly amused by whatever story was being told, and laughing harder as Boost started to bicker with Sinker.
You got along so easily with everyone you met, a skill that Hunter himself was not particularly adept at, and it made his heart happy. But watching as the leader of the pack, Wolffe himself, inching closer to you as you paid attention to his squad, something stirred in him. It was unfamiliar and uncomfortable.
Hunter’s movements stilled as he watched. You didn’t seem upset, and he didn’t want to make a big deal out of nothing. He was probably just being overprotective like Crosshair always says.
But then he saw it. A quick brush against your arm and the way you tensed. The way your smile and laugh suddenly became a facade. It made his blood boil.
He was getting ready to charge the commander, and give him a piece of his mind, but instead your eyes caught his. Your smile widened, no longer polite, but purely, unapologetically joyful. You didn’t bother say a word to the men surrounding you as you began to rush towards the beautiful man waiting for you.
He caught you easily, lifting you by the waist and spinning you around. Your beautiful, wonderful, bewitching laugh bubbled up as you held your man close to you. Eventually, he brought you back down to the ground, smiling widely as you wrapped your arms around his neck.
“Missed you,” you whispered, as he pressed his forehead against yours
A laugh from behind the pair of you caught your attention, and you both noticed an embarrassed looking Wolffe, ordering the rest of the pack to do ten laps around the hangar for laughing at him.
You laughed as well, but Hunter let out a low noise, one you had only heard in…other settings. You followed his line of sight, noticing that Wolffe was suddenly looking very nervous and Hunter’s smile had dropped as he narrowed his eyes and growled at the other man.
“Hunter,” you chided, breaking his concentration away from the commander and back to you.
“Yeah, cyare,” he grumbled. “I know.”
You chuckled, and rolled your eyes a little, pulling your hands back to rest on the sides of his head, pulling him into you, kissing him deeply.
Everything around the two of you faded away and you felt him relax into your arms.
Neither of you even noticed the whistle from Wrecker as the rest of the Batch entered the hangar.
It was only you and Hunter.

So In my last post i said i wanted to talk about vtubers and i feel like the best place to start would be to explain how i got into the rabbithole because i feel like it is quite diferrent from many others.
most of the time when i hear other people talk about it it’s the same story: they randomly saw one clip (and it is always the same three clips they talk about: Korones ‘eekum bokum’, Fubukis ‘scatman’ or Mikos ‘N-word’) and youtube did the rest.
So it all started in the distant year of 2010 (i know that’s way before vtubers really existed but bear with me here this is gonna make sense later)
so in 2010 Lisa randomly found a videogame in a yard sale and told me about it. That game was The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion. After i saw her play it i knew i had to get it too and it was one of our favourite games at the time.
So you can probably imagine how excited we were when just one year later the sequel came out: Skyrim (and if you somehow haven’t heard of that one: congratulations for living under a rock for more than 10 years).
And of course we played the shit out of it. and eventually wanted to try some mods... so we went to youtube... and found the MxR channel who did weekly mod showcases.
so we watched him for a while, then eventually his girlfriend jeannie started streaming on twitch.
and she did a cooking stream with Projekt Melody...
So yeah, the first Vtuber we ever saw wasn’t from hololive, or on youtube, or even on the actual Vtubers channel.
But we actually really liked Melody in that stream and watched a couple VODs from her. mostly her chatting streams with Ironmouse.
From there we discovered the rest of Vshojo, we watched tons of clips from them on youtube, watched their streams whenever we noticed that they were live (Fun Fact the first stream we watched live was Silvervale playing Skyrim so it kinda came full circle) and generally enjoyed their content without even knowing that other agencies existed.
But as anyone who fell into the rabbithole can tell you it doesn’t stay that way. The youtube algorythm will make sure of that.
So eventually there were more and more Hololive clips in our recommended. but we never clicked on any of them for some reason until i found one video: "Investigating Takanashi Kiara's Hole (of death)” by hypurban. (and honestly that hole is still hillarious to me. i mean a 1x1 hole in the middle of nowhere that somehow killed kiara (twice), IrYS and Suisei)
That was around the time when we both really got back into minecraft so i clicked on it... and then watched part 2... and then some other hololive minecraft clips... and before i knew what had happened i was subscribed to all of the Myth girls...
from there we continued with watching all the VODs of the Minecraft streams meaning pretty much everything we ever saw on youtube were hololive clips and we fell deeper and deeper into the rabbithole
-we dicovered the council girls and the ID girls and subscribed to them too.
-we watched some videos about the JP girls to better understand what they were about (thanks to Naggz for these)
-we even watched all of the reddit-shitpost reviews with subtitles and tried to learn more about coco and her legacy
quick timeskip here to the first debut streams we actually caught live: the Tempus boys
until then we didn’t really watch any of the holostars because 1. we don’t understand japanese and 2. we simply didn’t really care about them but we decided to give them a chance and... yeah they’re great.
that brings us to the last agency we followed... Nijisanji... we actually started following them really recently. i mean we had already seen quite a few clips from them but we never really paid much attention to tem before all the hologirls started getting into Rust which is a game we neither like or care about and so we started looking elsewhere and stumbled upon a VOD of Selen and Pomu playing WWE 2K22 (or... well... less ‘playing’ and more commentating) which was really funny and we continued to watch more of them and the other NijiEN girls (and some of the boys)
at this point pretty much all of youtube and twitch is just filled with Vtubers for us but that’s probably also because we are just subscribed to so many of them
i mean if you look at our youtube subs and Twitch follows it’s literally just:
-all of holoEN
-all of NijiEN
-all of HoloID
-most of Vshojo
-OniGiri
-Haruka
-Shylilly
-Numi
-Bao
-Yoclesh
-Saruei
-Juniper
-Trickywi
-Artemis
and for the non-Vtubers:
-Jaiden Animations
-TeamFourStar
-OutsideXbox and OutsideXtra
-MandJTV and his different channels
-Lockstin and Gnoggin
-Critical Role
-MxR
-Naggz Discovers (Though this one could be considered Vtuber related)
-and three german channels that most of you probably don’t know (Coldmirror, MythosofGaming and TheParappa)
and that’s pretty much it. Lisa likes to blame me for dragging her into the rabbithole, but hey, she’s the one who got me into The Elder Scrolls so if you really think about it. She did this to herself.
i think next i’m gonna talk about some of the Vtubers in more detail and tell you what i think about them specifically.
(i probably should make a tag for these types of post so you can block them if you don’t want to hear about those)

Bloodlines 2/?
Title: Bloodlines Fandom: SWTOR Rating: M - Implied sexual content Genre: Romance & Drama Summary: Aquila and Malish just need to talk. Please, by the stars, the ancestors, just talk to each other. Yes, research is consuming, yes, being a bodyguard is complicated, but you’re only making things worse. Communicate, you idiots. At least before you fall in love. Parts: one
Aquila bites her tongue as she punches the secondary authorization code into Malish’s bioscanner. Once inside, she enters the tertiary code and checks the Force switch on the frame. With her foot holding the door open, she drags in the supply crate. She cracks into it with the access code and a kick of metal on metal. The sensors are packed tight with expanding electrogel. Tiny sparks from her gauntlet free them one at a time so she can check for damage. They power-on with a beep and whistle. She’s still examining the third one when the false wall behind her slides open.
“The kriff are you doing? Why are you here? It’s not even daybreak!” Malish rubs his eyes with the heel of his hand. He’s wearing black and red plaid pyjamas and fluffy orobird slippers. He yawns. “And I swear on the ghost of Tulak Hord if you say anything about the karking contract I will Mind Crush the words out of your head.”
Aquila holds up one of the sensors. “You’re the one that paid double to buy these from a dealer in Kaas City instead of our usual source. And you’re the one that selected immediate installation.”
“I never-”
“So you do have a mysterious benefactor. I knew you couldn’t afford me.” She laughs and goes back to checking the devices. “These are made of Rholaran clay, which is-”
“Extremely rare and expensive because it conducts ambient Force energy identically to human-breathable air. I use it in my work. My very important and valuable work. Yes, I have benefactors, at least one of whom is paying you ensure my work continues.” He stands at his full height, which isn’t impressive, and glares down at her, which is even less impressive when the tie holding his hair back snaps and his view is blocked by a curtain of black hair.
Aquila deserves a medal for not laughing. She makes a mental note to tell her mother later. “Do you normally greet people in your PJs?”
Color stains his cheeks and he fumbles with his hair. “I could feel it was you.”
“No wonder an assassin got all of the way into your lab.”
“My Force Sense is- Forget it. I’m going to get dressed and start working.”
Once she’s done testing the sensors, Aquila sets her helmet on his desk and installs the first one over the hidden door to the lab. The quality is poor, compared to her usual supplier, and she has to calibrate it with her gauntlet while keeping half her mind on sensing danger. Her willpower is tested a second time with Malish walks under her extended arm without even ducking. Sure, it’s angled up, but him being so resigned to his height that he didn’t even duck is just too funny. “I’ll try to stay out of your way.”
Malish grunts and answers in some language Aquila doesn’t recognize. The word swirl in her head, the sounds playing against audio clips of her vod speaking this or that language, but it doesn’t seem to fit. She files it away as a question for later and moves on to the next sensor.
It takes the rest of the morning to set and calibrate the sensors in his lab. Aquila sits in the crate on top of the electro gel packets to eat her lunch. It’s some kind of savory handpie that tastes like nothing so much as home and she can hear Papa’s voice in her head, scolding the cooks over this or that. She brushes the crumbs into the crate and pokes her head into Malish’s lab. “Do you want to eat or something before I kit out your living quarters?”
He doesn’t respond, barely moves at all, bent over some crumbling tablet. Aquila bites her tongue and watches the crystals over his head. When the energy shifts through them, she repeats the question. Malish pulls his hands and Force away from the tablet and then startles with a jump and why is everything about the Sith funny.
“What? Food?”
“Past midday.” She checks her chrono. “Quite a bit past. And you haven’t had anything to drink either.”
He rubs his face with both hands, smearing what little color he has around. “What happened to G8? It’s supposed to remind me to eat.”
“It wasn’t here yesterday.”
Malish blinks at her and then looks around his lab. His gaze stops on the scarred table. “Kriff. I forgot it got destroyed.”
“Come on.” Aquila takes his arm with the lightest touch he can, since he doesn’t seem any closer to leaving his work. “Get something to eat and order yourself a new droid. If it gets here when I’m not around-”
“Don’t activate it, I know. I’m not a complete idiot.” He stops and looks her in the eye, asking for the rebuttal.
“Monitoring your physical health is part of the job, but I’m sure the last thing you want is me pestering you ever few hours.” Aquila stops at the threshold of his personal quarters to set the first sensor.
“I was between things,” Malish calls from the next room. “Your timing was lucky.”
“There’s a reason I cost so much and it’s not my good looks.”
A loud ‘hah’ and snort come back to her.
“How many openings do I have to give you before you call me an expensive whore? Come on, up your banter game, Sith.” The responding silence sends a chill down her spine. Aquila looks over her shoulder and finds Malish glaring with enough raw emotion and power her limbs are stiff and numb.
“You’re not to joke about that, Meshurok.”
Aquila nods as much as she can without exerting her own Force. “I apologize. Won’t happen again.”
He ducks back into the other room and she nearly falls over as her muscles release. She swallows hard. There aren’t many Sith that can project that strongly with a look. He might need a mysterious benefactor now, but there’s no doubt that he’ll be a Sith to be reckoned with once he comes to his own.
But it’s not fear that makes her pulse race.
He’ll call on her whenever he needs protection in the future, she’s just that good, and she’ll be able to see his power first hand. Be able to fight at her full strength and… and earn so many points. She’s not Trandoshan, but if there’s a deity up there with the ancestors, it’s Scorekeeper and Malish will bring her the best hunts. She takes a slow breath to calm her blood and then lifts the next sensor. Questions simmer in her mind like shaclaws in a pit: each one fighting to get out first.
They have time to fight it out; Malish won’t answer anything until he trusts her.
Aquila can’t wait.
