a/n: kind of suggestive shit underneath the cut, sorry if you don't like it, you have every right to scroll away ^^

after getting used to the controls and operations on social media and understanding the basic goal, or lack, of it–miguel had begun scrolling through his feed like you and lyla directed him to do. he scrolled and scrolled through the endless photos, videos, and posts sent his way by the very strange algorithm of the app. he still hadn't found the right thing for him on social media and he honestly wouldn't be here if you and lyla didn't force him to try it out so much, but when he least expected it... he happened upon your account.

he saw a photo of your back, it was you taking a selfie in the mirror with hardly anything covering your back. your behind was in full view but covered up, the lighting was dim, save for the flash of your phone's camera. the caption read: "for m, hoping you'll enjoy this three-course meal 🍓"

...that did something to miguel. it set some sort of feeling off of him, something that urged him to not just click like, but to comment right then and there: "who the shock is 'm'?" but if only he knew how to comment; all he knows how to do is click like and scroll.

he clicked the like button, unsure of how to feel about that very... eye-catching photo of yours. he tried shaking the feeling off, but he just couldn't; he couldn't stop thinking about it. he scrolled back up to see who else liked your photo, it took him a few tries to figure out how to do that. he also saw a few of the preview comments, complimenting your looks and tagging their friends who had 'm' in their names–joking that the photo was for them.

it pissed miguel off that these people could think your photos were for them, when you promised him you were all his. it damaged his ego slightly, but he figured these people were just douches, simple as that.

...but he needed to be doubly sure, so he click on your profile and looked through the posts you made. you really did love showing off your behind, it seemed like you were incredibly proud of it; miguel's totally in love with your ass, don't get him wrong, bur to know other people could see it and get to revisit the sight of your ass? oh, that made him feel a bit of a stinging pain in his chest.

he hated that feeling, where he felt like you were sharing intimate bits of yourself when you kept reminding and telling him you're all his. that, and as he scrolled through your comments, he saw a lot of people who not only loved your photos and sent you many compliments, but many who told you to get off the platform–many also catcalled you in the comments, too, much to his disgust.

"can't even keep this shit in real life, what losers." he muttered under his breath as he felt his anger rise as he kept scrolling through your comment section. he had gone through almost all of your posts, memorizing all the details of your posts and how you looked in them, feeling his face and chest flare up in a fit of heat as he looked through them all one by one. he sighed as he noticed you were a little too bold in these photos, in his opinion. he didn't want you to jeopardize yourself, seeing as how there were a lot of creeps on your account, he wanted to bring it to you attention.

hence, he messaged you all about his concerns.

"for... her mother?" miguel repeated to himself as he reread your message to him. he sighed, not believing your excuse one bit, believing you directed it to someone with an 'm' in their name, like him, but he decided to play along for now to get you to fess up eventually. that, and he doesn't think you'd wish your mom would have a lovely three-course meal with your ass picture, but he did see that you took pictures of food afterwards, so... it was plausible. but you were not off the hook yet.

he sighed as you laughed at his attempt at guessing who that post was for, who 'm' was. he felt a little embarrassed, a little ashamed he thought it was him, but then he thought of who would be closest to you, had 'm' in their name, and would enjoy the three-course meal that was... you already know what. he sighed as he typed and retyped his message after deleting the previous one, trying to get himself together after outing himself as being a little expectant that those thirst traps were for him.

he finally messaged you, trying to sound stern over text, but he was completely ignored by you when you sent him a selfie of your bottom half, with little letters on your bottom that read: "good????? bad????? should i get em....."

fuck, you baited him again.

he felt his cheeks grow hot and his breath hitch in his throat as he stared at your photo for a second, hoping you wouldn't post this, that this could remain as just a little thing between you two. but then again, he couldn't control you, so he'd just try to respond back–seeming unfazed. hopefully.

he was so easy to please sometimes.

moral of the story?

miguel loves your ass and wants to beat up the creeps in your comments section, while making it known to both you and the world that your ass is all for him–nobody else.

Idk if you’ve already done this (newer follower and still catching up) but would you ever do a post on how you plan a post? Like what your planning process looks like with shots, poses, etc? You’re one of my favorite storytellers and I hope to get on your level one day but no idea what goes into a true story telling post

Ooooh hi hello, welcome! I don't believe I have ever gone into my process, no! but how interesting.. what better excuse! let's take yesterdays post as an example, shall we? 👀

First of all, we start with the premise/notes, which are very rough n' look like this in a word document...

Camping – the twins are fiiighting/being a pain, Oscar loses temper with em n almost says why can’t u be like ur brother?! throwing him into memories of Salton saying that to him all the time :[ he catches himself like no wait ur perfect I just gotta finish this, twins like wtf?? But robin ofc knows what’s going on with his pappy.. Oscar wanders off later n Robin sits with him, ur not like them u kno, what? Grandma n grandpa ur not the same, OUGH ;-;

2. I suppose this step changes depending on what I feel like, sometimes I'll make the poses/take the screenies first, then write the dialogue, other times I'll write the dialogue first.. I try for the latter since I can make more accurate poses, but time is usually my enemy here cos dialogue needs a nice quiet period to write lmao (let's call this step dialogue for now though)

3. Rip sims for blender, make poses, then head in game to dress everyone, set dress and take screenies, I take a LOT and choose the best ones but here're some unedited examples for you... In this case cos there was a flashback, I also had to remake Oscar/fam as a child n' whatnot, but luckily I have their old house saved so I plonked them all in an alternative save to take those.

4. Now we have our dialogue/screenies, it's time to throw it all together in photoshop, I usually edit the screenie first to fix any clipping etc, fix the lighting, sharpen it up a bit maybe.. but that's about it! Then I press my handy lil (custom made) storyboard action and end up with smth like this, to which I add the text! (this step takes the longest prolly.. cos it takes me forever to pick the screenies I wanna use my GOD 🙈)

VOILA! Once I've chosen all the screenies in the right order I go thru each of em in PS one by one to edit/add captions, then we're done! \o/

I realise this probably seems quite quick/vague or even streamlined if u wanna toot my horn lmaooo but I've spent a while doing this by now so ig I've kinda figured out the quickest way of doing it - still tho, I'd imagine the above still taking between 4-5 hours from start to finish! I usually spread these things over days/weeks in advance tho like.. during the week I mostly make poses/take screenies and write, then at the weekend I'll usually edit a bunch n' throw it all together, so it doesn't rlly feel tedious since I'm switching it up all the time/doing what I fancy.

After the encounter with your ex, Ellie, you try your best to avoid anything to do with her. But with your luck...

You hum along to the song playing through your speaker as you scroll instagram. You've basically put yourself in house arrest other than going to work ever since seeing Ellie. You couldn't trust yourself not to get into a situation where you needed saving again.

Your breath hitches when you see Dina's post. It's her and Ellie sitting on Ellie's couch with cards against humanity spread out on her coffee table. JJ, Dina's son, is sleeping in Ellie's arm. You study the way Ellie's eyes squint as she smiles at the camera. The caption says, "mommy material"

"Fucking mommy material? She isn't even girlfriend material." (I love salty y/n) you grumble and like the picture before turning your phone off. Maybe it's time to finally go out again.. You didn't have work tomorrow..

About a half an hour later, your looking at your ass in the mirror. Making sure that your black dress covers enough but not too much, maybe you'll even meet someone tonight. You've decided on going to a new bar tonight, their website says they have musicians that come in on Fridays so it'll be a chill place to relax.

You pick up your bag and lace your new converse before leaving your apartment.

Your sitting on one of the leather couches that face the stage drinking a (drink of choice) when you hear a familiar voice saying hi to the bartender. You turn you head around and see the one and only Dina!! She must of felt your eyes on her because she turn her head and her eyes immediately lit up. "Y/n!!! Baby!"

You smile as she runs over and sits next to you, giving you a side hug. "I haven't seen you in fucking forever! How are you?"

After you and Ellie broke up, you stopped hanging out with a lot of your friends too. It was too awkward for you. But they never stopped caring about you, it was hard for you to come to terms with that.

"I'm okay! I've just been working a lot recently.. I haven't had a chance to check this place out yet." Dina nods and rests her head on your shoulder. "It's really nice here. I come here every Friday to see-" she stops mid sentence and slowly turns her head up to look at you with wide eyes. You hear someone else on the stage setting up but you keep your eyes on Dina's thinking face.

You tilt your head as she puts her hand over her mouth, "wait.. do you know that-"

She's cut off by another familiar sound. The song Ellie wrote for you on your one year anniversary, you guys stayed up all night writing lyrics for it. You whip your head back to the stage and your face drops, "oh my fucking god."

Dina starts to laugh uncomfortably st the situation, "um- we can leave and I can take you to another really good place, they have burgers! Ellie will understand if I leave-"

You can barely hear what Dina's saying. It's just you and Ellie now. The song you've heard so many times and Ellie's soft voice coming through the speakers, you might even be singing the song quietly too. She opens her eyes and immediately meets yours. You hear her voice falter but she keeps eye contact as she sings.

Ellie goes back stage after a few more songs and you are finally snapped back into reality. In reality, you're sobbing. Dina's rubbing your back comfortingly and is holding your head as you lean it against her shoulder.

You look up at her and take a deep breath, "I should get out of here- I'm sorry Dina. It was nice seeing you." She let's you go but holds your wrist so you turn back to her. She sighs, "let's not be strangers anymore, mkay? I want you to meet JJ." You smile sadly at her and nod, "yeah, um.. text me?"

She smiles and let's you go as you try to RACE OUTTA THERE!! YOU GOTTA GO BEFORE ELLIE COMES OUT!!

You're out the door and halfway to your car before you hear your name being called. Fuck. "Y/n! Can we talk please, I hate the way I reacted-"

You turn around, giving Ellie a view of your tear stained face. "What the fuck are you doing singing that fucking song?" Ellie furrows her brows, "what the fuck do you mean?"

"That's our song Ellie. Why are you still playing it?" You see Ellie scoff a little before taking a deep breath. "Can we talk? I can explain things better than we aren't standing in the middle of the fucking sidewalk." She kicks a rock.

You have to think very hard about this. It'll be embarrassing if you start to fight in a restaurant or park, going to each other's apartments is too intimate, but you'd be lying if you said you didn't miss talking to Ellie (even if she doesn't know that ha..ha.ha..).

"Okay."

"Okay?!"

You sigh, "We'll meet at the river. tomorrow at 6?"

She smiles and almost chuckles a little bit, "yeah that's great.."

What the hell did you get yourself into?

You and Ellie had a special spot near the river since your first date. It was a rundown, abandoned shed type thing that you made your own. Ellie added a loveseat and a coffee table, you added battery powered fairy lights and some tapestries.

Ellie's already sitting on the loveseat when you get there. Her hair is pull up into that half up half down style that she always does, you can see her white tank top under her brown flannel, her sleeves are rolled up to show off her tattoo, and she's MAN SPREADING. She definitely knew what she was doing.

"Hi." You say, awkwardly sitting as far away from her as you can and putting down the cut up fruit your brought as a peace offering. She smiles and wipes her hands of her pants, "hey.."

You notice the two drinks on the coffee table, she grabs one and hands it to you, "this still your favorite?" You nod and smile slightly at her.

After a few seconds of silence she speaks, "I started therapy about a month ago. I'm going once a week." You look at her and smile, "that's great Ellie. I'm happy for you."

She nods and looks down at her hands, "um, I'm sorry about what I said. It isn't true, I just let my frustration speak for me. And I'm sorry for literally making your life a living hell for the last year we were together. I had a lot of shit I needed to deal with and you didn't deserve that."

The truth is, you'd forgiven her a long time ago. All you wanted for her was happiness and seeing her apologizing is proof that she is getting better.

You take a sip of your drink and meet her eyes, "thank you for apologizing. That means a lot. I'm sorry too, I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions when you literally picked me up off the side of the road and let me sleep in your bed."

"Truce?"

".. Truce."

She smiles at you and leans back on the couch. "Soo, what've you been up too?"

You shrug, "nothing really.. I got hired full-time by the high school. I've been teaching a bunch of 10th graders literature and getting piss drunk."

Ellie's eyes light up, "seriously?? Y/n that's fucking amazing!! Not the getting piss drunk part but you've been waiting so long for an opening." You laugh and nod, "it's fun, the kids really like me."

In all seriousness the excitement on Ellie's face makes you want to grab her and kiss her. Buuut, you know you shouldn't...

"What about you?"

"I got promoted at work, I got a really good raise. Joel wants me to start learning how to run the place so he can retire soon." You grin at her, "ooh, little Ellie's gonna run a whole auto shop by herself" you wiggle your eyebrows and she playfully hits your arm.

"Shut up!!" Her cheeks are tinted red as you laugh. "And what if I don't?"

Ellie pauses and looks at you, you watch as her eyes travel down your lips but quickly make their way back up. "I'll give you discounts on repairs." You're lips are ZIPPED because that shit is expensive.

Ellie snorts and gets a grape from your container. You both just sit in silence for a little bit as you watch her. You're both studying each other's faces, thinking of all the times your lips have connected and your hands have touched her cheeks.

You take another sip of your drink and spill it all over your white long sleeve shirt. "Fuck!"

Ellie grabs the drink and sets it back down, looking around for some way to dry your shirt. "Um, fuck we don't have any napkins here"

You shake your head, "it's fine, it'll just air dry, this shirt was like 5 dollars anyway." Ellie furrows her eyebrows and starts to take off her flannel, "it's too cold, you can change into this." She hands it to you and turns around to give you privacy.

"Are you sure? You're gonna be cold just in a tank top."

Ellie shakes her head, "don't worry about me, I want you to be warm."

About an hour and a half later you're sleeping. Your head in Ellie's lap so comfortably as she traces circles on your arm. She huffs and looks at the time,

8:37 pm

Ellie didn't want to wake you but she also was freezing her ass off as it get colder. She carefully gets up, picks you up bridal style, and carries you to her car. You'd taken an uber here so you didn't have to worry about your car being left here.

She sets you down in the passenger seat and you slowly open your eyes, "what're you doing?"

Ellie smiles and buckles your seat belt, "I'm gonna take you home, I don't want you taking an Uber when your this tired. Can I have your apartment building?"

You blink a few times before smiling and nodding, "thank you els. My building is the one by Nico's bar." She nods and closes your door before getting in her side and starting the car.

Even though she kept herself calm, Ellie was over the moon. You called her els. A nickname she hadn't been called ever since you broke up.

Ellie didn't care if she was your girlfriend or not. All she cared about was getting you back into her life, I think she succeeded?

You turn in your seat and look at her, "can we be friends?"

She glaces at you and smiles, "fuck yeah."

Not for long HaHaHaHa... 😈

Waaaa I hope this is good... I feel like the ending was a little bit rushed!! There will be a part 3, hopefully they kiss! I wnat to see them kiss!!

I'm getting surgery tomorrow so hopefully it doesn't mess up the writing of part 3 too much!

omfg how long has this been sitting in my drafts??? At least four months LMAO because I baked these from the star trek cookbook for my friends for the winter holidays!

First was the Ha Rageel (Vulcan carrot loaf) - I loved how moist this loaf was!! Probably could've used a bit more sugar, and it did fall apart in transport lol, but otherwise I thought it was good!

It also has one of my favorite captions from the cookbook: "It has never ceased to amuse Doctor McCoy that Mister Spock, with all his logical training, cannot consider Ha Rageel a close equivalent to Tufeen Hushani. Actually, to the logical Vulcan mind, a ceremonial wedding cake is quite unrelated to an "everyday" dessert loaf. It is quite true that they contain many of the same ingredients and have a somewhat similar taste. But this no more makes them related than the same number of eyes and legs makes first cousins of horses and dogs. To a cook the difference is also important. Preparing the wedding cake requires time, attention and care to avoid a minor disaster; with Ha Rageel you can hardly go wrong."

Yes this was the inspiration for my fic. I mean, how can you tell me McCoy has teased Spock about the carrot loaf being similar to the wedding cake and NOT expect me to write a fic about it.

Also sorry McCoy, but after making both, they are WAY different, and the wedding cake is better imo 🤣

I also made Criniti, Romulan spice cookies! These turned out sooooooo yummy, will definitely be making them again!

They also have a fun legend for the caption in the cookbook: "The name for these cookies comes from an ancient Romulan legend. The story is about how the Romulan herding wolves came to be domesticated.

"Once there was a long, hard winter, and the tribe of the boy Kalyb was short on furs. The boy was already a good hunter, but not yet old enough to go with the men. The men had caught all the meat they needed, and the tribe had stored seeds, honey, nuts, and dried fruit. But still they needed furs, or they would freeze.

"One morning Kalyb chanced on a sleeping Canis crinitus with a magnificent pelt and was about to kill it. The animal pleaded for its life and offered the following bargain. If Kalyb's tribe would prepare his favorite treat for him and his clan, they would help the boy's tribe catch all the woolly, sheep-like mountain creatures they needed.

The boy's tribe prepared cakes from seeds, dried fruits, nuts and honey and left them where the Criniti could find them. The next day, the cakes were gone, and before long, Kalyb heard a great commotion. The Criniti were sweeping down from the hills driving the woolly animals before them. "Romulans still use fruit and nut cakes for training their animals. They also make delicious spiced cookies using many of the same ingredients as rewards for their children. On certain feast days it is even proper for adults to be seen eating them."

The Clone Wars 4.07 ‘Darkness on Umbara’ Reaction Take 2

I’m doing this post and the rest of these second watch reaction posts to the Umbara arc in the more live-blogging style reaction posts I’ve done for other episodes like 1x5 ‘Rookies’, 2x10 ‘The Deserter’ and 4x5 'Mercy Mission'. So much happens in these episodes and I feel like I missed a lot of it in my first reaction posts because I was going through all the emotions.

That is some very cool looking nose cone art on the 501st LAAT/i behind Fives. Can’t quite tell what it is but it certainly looks cool.

Naw, Rex checking in on Tup. I read somewhere that Tup was a shiny on Umbara but I can’t remember if this is canon or fanon.

The clone piloting the LAAT/i is named Hawk! Or at least he is according to the captions. Hey Hawk! More named clones! :D

“Time to lock and load” CACKLING

The walkers just leap backwards out the back of the low flying LAAT/i’s? How is this a good idea?

BOING. Yeet the walker.

I think this is the first time we actually hear what the clones are saying on a battlefield. Usually it’s just dialogue between the main characters but now there’s so many of them shouting and cheering and screaming and dying.

Rip the poor clone that jumped out of the LAAT/i and didn’t even make it onto the ground before being shot.

“The enemy could have the whole place rigged with traps.” Dammit Anakin you jinxed it.

“I can’t even see the enemy” Oh that’s going to come back and bite everyone in the arse really badly.

“It’s just a vine” Oh dear.

It’s the Umbaran sarlacc!

Fives being a badass and taking out the monster like it’s nothing. That was quite clever thinking in terrifying circumstances for him to keep his head and figure out he needs to get the monster to eat the explosive.

That shot of the trenches definitely reminds me of WWI and II. They’ve even got the troopers leaning against the sides with their blasters poking above the top.

“Maybe… back in the day” Dayum Rex, there a lot of feeling in that one.

Surely an ambush and skittering assassin bugs would be something that Anakin would sense in the Force?

Lmao @ Hardcase trying to take out the bug with the blaster equivalent of a rotary canon. That’s like taking a flamethrower to a spider.

Fives have you been gargling gravel or something?

Well at least Anakin got rid of the assassin bug. Again.

That shot of the bombers and Odd Ball bombing the ridge and the ensuing explosion definitely felt like a reference to the Vietnam war.

Is this where Rex got his dramatic flair for disappearing into the fog like he did in ‘Battle Scars’ in The Bad Batch?

I just had a heartbreaking thought. Is Fives here because Echo is gone and he doesn’t have an ARC partner (and twin) anymore? So Rex is doubling as his ARC partner for now until Jesse ends up as the other ARC in Torrent and the 501st? Do ARCs have partners and come in pairs? More angst for this already angst riddled arc (in more ways than one). Yay.

Is this Phase 2 clone armour? I think it is.

Poor Rex is trying to be diplomatic and balance dealing with Krell while also showing his men that he understands their concerns as well. I do like Fives’ view on this. He’s very ‘wear your heart on your sleeve’. I also loved that little exchange, you can really tell all of their different personalities just from that conversation. Hardcase is so gung ho, bless him.

Rex just casually dual wielding with a horizontal grip like it’s nothing. Sir, you are showing off.

I would let Fives flip me over his shoulder and pound me into the ground. And then thank him for it. I have watched that part multiple times and it does not stop being hot. And the way he just casually stands up all cool and deadly and puts multiple blaster shots into the Umbaran. Sir, please contain your badassery. @nobie also has a fantastic gifset of this moment

Rex’s little flippy roll straight after this made me realise that he and Fives are fighting together. Oh Echo.

It’s almost jarring how noticeable it is that there isn’t a Jedi fighting alongside the clones. I couldn’t quite pick what felt off the first time until someone (Fives, I think?) mentions it later but it’s so obvious now.

also nepo baby dick is hiLArious considering that I have been thinking all day about how in a separate-universes world, everyone in Kate's world thinks he's a golddigger. The tabloids and gossip mags are so confused??? He's a stay at home boyfriend? He literally doesn't have a job. He basically doesn't even exist. Kate's always saying he's home visiting his family, or traveling. Is he a spy? Does he do crime? He didn't know who Captain America was, he's just a himbo. He absolutely could not be a spy. Dick LOVES this, I feel like. It's much funnier when people think that about him than when they think that about Kate (which is what happens when she goes to his universe)

There's a post from forever ago about someone who's supervisor called their partner "Boytoy" at work, like, exclusively. And the guy knew and was fine with it, but anyway he came in one day and the op went "Mr. Toy, I presume?" and he went "The very one." This is very much Dick and Kate. also somehow he meets Anthony Bourdain, and this is a Good Timeline where he's still alive and Dick winds up traveling with him for a few episodes? That would be a fun dichotomy

Kate turns her back for five seconds and Clint and Dick have gone undercover at a circus. Kate expected this from Clint, but Dick knows better. Which prompts Dick explaining that CLINT is the brains of the operation, not Dick, he's the beauty, and Clint getting mad because HE'S the beauty, and Kate just sighs. Clearly neither of you are the brains.

Dick loves that there are no expectations of him in Kate's universe. It's like a vacation. He gets to be a himbo here. There's absolutely a pic of them on insta that he captioned "this barbie is an Avenger. He's just ken" and he will not HEAR Kate's arguments about how technically by Barbie/Ken rules he is also a Barbie. Dick pouts and is like I AM KENOUGH.

All of this leads to a mostly funny conception the Avengers have of Dick. They know he's Nightwing, he doesn't really need a secret identity here, but they don't...get it. He's bouncy and casual because he's still watching Kate's teams, figuring out how best to support, and he doesn't want to step on Kate's toes by accidentally being Too In Charge. So there's this idea that he really IS a himbo until Kate gets injured or captured. If she gets injured on a mission he's on? Look. It clears things up right away. He will absolutely rip apart whatever faction or organization caused that to happen with his bare hands. And God for-fucking-bid he encounters the actual individual responsible for harming her. I'm not saying someone's getting kicked off of a roof but, someone is moving from the roof to the sidewalk in the most expedient way possible.

This is also funny because it makes very clear how different their preferred fighting styles are, because Kate picked A VERY DEFENSIBLE POSITION, please stop worrying, Dick. And she's right! It is! IF YOUR PREFERRED WEAPON IS RANGED.

Now Dick is standing over his mostly unconscious girlfriend who looks like her face got scraped against the ground (because it did), preparing to defend them from all sides. fucking snipers.

It also leads to a fun moment where Kate can't lead. Eli isn't there, so normally command of the team would slide into Cap's purview (if cap and whoever his second is are down, Avengers command would slide over to Kate) so Cap is getting ready to start giving the YA some orders and Dick, not even THINKING about it, just kind of assumes command of the young Avengers and NONE OF THEM QUESTION IT???? He doesn't lead like Kate. He doesn't give orders like Kate, he doesn't even sound like Kate, with cadence or whatever. But there's something that is just kate like enough that her team is like yep this is correct. (The same thing will happen in reverse with the titans) After that the Avengers stop roasting him behind Kate's back.

Also, THE HIP HOLES. look. We need to admit that Kate, canonically, does not have great taste in her avengering uniform. Why did she choose this look? why is she so attached to it?

Like if Kate has the audacity to genuinely criticize discowing?? If for some reason she's wearing a different costume or they got tossed into Gotham in their civvies, her team will absolutely throw her under the bus in order to get brownie points with the batkids.

You can't talk about the deep vee when you had YOUR ENTIRE ABDOMEN OUT BABE. Nothing! Not even a tissue! The body confidence is great Kate but seriously how did you not die. (he's into the scarf, though)

And if Kate actually wears the hip holes? Dick is poking at her trying to figure out if they're actually holes? Is there mesh there? Is it flesh toned fabric? No?? It's actually holes? This man is going to stick his hand in one just to see because what the fuck, Kate, and Kate's going to be like. Dick. Dickie. Nightwing. Your hand is under my costume. Do you realize where your hand is.

Is THAT what it's for?!?!? Dick is now seeing how far he can get his hand. The small of her back? Her other hip? Their friends are scREAMing. Guys? Could you do this some other time?? Like maybe when we're NOT ON FUCKING PATROL?????

Hi anon!! Istg I did not mean to wait this long to answer holy shit it’s been nearly 2 weeks I am SO sorry

But okok originally, I just wanted to redraw the “Ivan the Terrible and His Son Ivan” painting with my gijinkas, so YES Hollow was originally supposed to just. Die. In this au.

BUT since I’m a sucker for pre-sealing AUs where Hollow gets the chance to forge real relationships with the people around them, ig it’s my turn to do it now lol

SO!! Idk how canon this is, but I headcannon that, while the infection reduces people to their base instincts generally, the Radiance can choose to individually control certain bugs, so when she realises that the so called “Pure Vessel” isn’t hollow, she realises she has the perfect opportunity to take out the Pale King in a way that he’d never see coming, mostly bc of how deep in denial he is that Hollow is hollow, and bc he’s so confident that he’s safe within the palace walls; he’d be caught completely off guard.

So, long story short, Radi infects Hollow instead of Xero (ik he’s not a knight but the caption sounded more dramatic that way) and tries to assassinate the king. In a last ditch attempt to stop attacking their father, Hollow momentarily wrestles back control and stabs themself instead, which further confirms the fact to PK that his child has a will of their own.

Like. When Hollow stumbles in, dishevelled, hair out of place, their armour nowhere to be seen, he genuinely assumes that they’ve finished their tasks for the day and have been ordered into his study. When he realises they’re infected, his initial thought isn’t that they’re alive, but that he was wrong in his assumption that you need to have a mind to become infected, and he’s essentially given Radi an empty puppet to play with. It’s only when Hollow takes the initiative to fight back against Radi that it clicks for him.

So! I’m open to suggestions about how or why this happens bc I’ve not figured it out yet (maybe Radi figures Hollow’s a lost cause and there’s no point wasting more energy on keeping them under her control is they’re dying anyway??? Maybe some void fuckery happens??) the point is, as PK takes Hollow into his arms for perhaps the first time in their life, the heat of the infection leaves their eyes, and PK manages to heal them enough that he can call for help without worrying that they’re going to bleed out in his arms immediately.

In the palace gardens, where Hornet is having a tea party with Herrah and the White Lady, PK’s cry for help is heard and Hollow is taken into a room where they can rest and heal (in the same wing of the palace as pk and wl’s room bc holy fucking shit we’ve been treating our child like an object their whole life they don’t even have a proper bedroom wtf is wrong with us).

That’s honestly as far as I’ve gotten with anything regarding a plot,

realizing that i can just choose happiness with my art is kinda crazy

this the sort of thing i'll delete later and repost on dreamwidth later but

i've always had the mentality that i shouldn't let numbers affect how i feel about my artwork, positively or negatively. because i'd often get upset over getting >10 likes on twitter for shit i spent hours on and etcetera, i wouldn't let myself feel happy if i did draw artwork that got a lot of attention (FOR ME).

but what is the purpose of doing that? i'd still get upset over flopping badly and i wouldn't even be able to enjoy it if i did do well. i feel like it is just better for me to accept and be happy that other people like my artwork and if they didn't ummmm i'll blame the algorithm lol

in all seriousness i'm also realizing that there's genuinely nothing i can do on twitter to make my artwork more visible because people just don't look up tags or even search shit. i can only really rely on fandom ppl rting stuff and i'm just privileged i already had followers on my accounts interested in my current interests bc they overlap a lot with stuff i drew before. so anyway, there's no point in me stressing about what i do or don't put in my caption and if that's what's making stuff flop because there's really nothing i can do to increase my post visibility.

that being said despite how upset posting on twitter made me i've never been bothered by my posts getting 10 notes on tumblr because of the tagging function. i mean i don't even think my posts appear in the tags tbh but at least it makes me feel more secure!

i still don't want to know who's interacting with my posts so i'm keeping my notifs muted...

AI art basically made me realized how much i love the actual process of drawing itself. it's really enjoyable to piece together an image to completion and i love love love drawing backgrounds!!! i am somewhat more understanding of people who use AI art to create artwork that represents their feelings or deeper messages (basically i'm just thinking of this one girl on /r/shoppingaddiction who'd use AI art to vent instead of buying clothes lmao) but i cannot at all understand the appeal of using AI to create like, anime fanart. there's zero satisfaction in that! and AI can't make the niche porn i want

my schedule is really fucking packed but that's what keeps me going. i don't have time to be upset over my posts flopping if i have deadlines to meet! <- guy who missed all of his deadlines yesterday BUT IT'S OK I'LL FINISH THEM THIS WEEK

i felt pretty shit about drawing sideM/shinsoku ikkon again because it just feels like crap to be repeating 2017-2018 where i was the only person who cared about shinsoku enough to read their content AGAIN. japanese fans don't see my shit, and while i'm really grateful for english fans who like my works even though they dgaf about genbu, it is really lonely to be the only english-speaking fan who strongly cares about him after nearly 8 years of being into sideM (i am not counting vore guy or the other english genbuP who got called out for race-related reasons). but. i realized last night that the only two active shinsokuP (who don't have beef with me for top/bottom drama idgaf about) both have really similar soft and delicate art styles, which, while i like their art a lot... i want shinsoku that's rough and tough and bold! so i gotta draw my own shinsoku content to get the shinikkon i love again

(speaking of shinsoku i have still been meaning to write an essay on how the art museum live event impacted me as an artist... and how i finally got out of what, while improved by art for the better, also stunted me for years. and i also need to write an essay on the topic of doing art studies because i feel like people including myself don't study effectively)

anyway i gotta study more, i'll definitely be trying to do more figure and face studies since i'll be working on a pretty long genbaro comic next month!!! i'm really soooo excited to draw it since i haven't drawn a long comic with a serious storyline and art style in forever. I WILL GO BACK TO FOCUSING ON 3D ART SOMEDAY I'M STILL A 3D ARTIST I PROMISE

I guess this is my intro post lol, It’s lengthy

So, this is almost a role play account, with exceptions for things like fan art, or side story’s. On posts or rebloggs that don’t have anything to due with the role play, OORP will be marked in the captions.

The role play is a girl named Moxie Moon, who’s technically really old and ancient, but in human years is only 19. She’s from a planet called D66, and is technically what we would call an Elf or Witch, but a very spiritual creature is the best way to put it. (Spoiler alert, she’s based off of my DND character lmao-under the class of wizard)

She has short, almost choppy, dusky purple hair above her shoulders. It is usually in two French brains or tucked behind her ears, though would leav it down and wavy for a nice event. She has very pale, rosy skin and grey colored eyes. Four mains scars, one across the left side of her lip, one from right below her left eye, crossing her nose and ends on her right cheek. On her left cheek, directly below her eye, is an almost perfectly star-shaped scar, from something that only could occur on D66, and the smallest bullet scar known to man. Ironic, and almost too comical to Moxie. Though this happened before she traveled, or shall I say, got banished to now earth, so she was only 10 in human years.

Being a witch, she was able to learn the culture and languages of earth very quickly, and adapt to the new normals. On D66, it was cold, and very futuristic. Unthinkable technology the human mind could not comprehend, nor have the supplies to ever conjure up. Though she had to leave her home behind, she had no choice of going back.

She was always a curious girl growing up. Never satisfied, and constantly felt the need for more knowledge of what she hadn’t learn yet. So, after she attempted to search for books on the history of D66, the Overlord known as Haintess, bounded Moxie to earth as punishment. Though, due to her found cleverness and awareness, she quickly adjusted to her surroundings. She grew in woods, finding her needed supplies for survival in abandoned, or small villages. The one weapon that was the same from D66 and earth however, was a bow and arrow. Though there were no such thing as multiplying arrows, she gained such control of a bow that she could split six in half in one target. (If you don’t understand what I mean think of the Merida scene in Brave where she splits one down the middle of another) this, and throwing knives were her strong suits. Though, you wouldn’t want to see her near a boxes of matches, because she would some how find a way to set the whole village on fire just by looking at a flame. Because of the extreme cold on D66, fire was never a concept, and long story short, no one there was aware of the flames, causing her to be TERRIBLE at dealing with it. Because she was only 10 when she was banished from her home, she never underwent any spell classes nor had any access to the right books, though if she could lay her hands on one, we all know she’d be able to figure something out.

Moxie is quick and witty, though not the most graceful. Even though technically she COULD run fast, she’d face plant within two steps. So, she might be clever, but not agile whatsoever.

Im gonna ramble in your inbox for a bit lmao, I have a few ideas!

What about music themed?? Like music notes, treble clef, etc (idk a lot about musical notation honestly but ik theres a lot of symbols). My next thought was instruments but usually those are super detailed, like string and brass? A Harp?? The simplest i can think is like, some piano keys would make a cute design, or maybe just the headstock of a guitar! God, brass instruments would be so intense to make, i just looked at a saxaphone and I'm freaking out thinking of the detail and how impressive that would be. Or maybe physical media like a vinyl record or a little cassette tape? A little boombox, record player, or radio?

Going off of that, I think people really like decade themed/nostalgic stuff. I love 70s things personally so i may just be projecting, but i think 80s and 90s vibes are super popular! You could look at toys, technology, icons, and popular colors of an era, things like that and that might be inspiring!

Also thinking about summer themed designs since summer is coming up! Seasonal stuff is so cute and I notice people are always looking for little seasonal projects! Surfboards, beach umbrella, a fruity lil drink, are things that come to mind for me!

The more i write the more ideas i think of but this ask is already huge lmaooo so ill leave with these and hopefully its not overwhelming

These are all so good and sensible and fun! Thank you so much! I spent a day and a half sketching out just some of them (and going off an a few tangents), and there are a few already that I can't wait to actually pattern up and make <3

Musical instruments and notation are both perfect and super hard for the format. They're so detailed, like you said, and their design is so specific; it's hard to know what can be fudged or elided without getting the whole thing irredeemably wrong. (I've had the same problem with birds and arthropods). Like, how many of the saxophone's fourteen-hundred eldritch appendages *do* I need to show? I could include them all, and the motif would be the size of a bedspread and take a month and a half to crochet, and I perversely want to do that now so thanks also for that.

Even in that keyboard motif (which, you'll have to trust me, is a very good likeness of Casio keyboard whose demo song was the soundtrack to my early childhood) is already over twice width of my largest typical designs, and it would have to be twice as big still for me to space the keys accurately.

Decades are a great organizing conceit! They lend themselves to a kind of idiosyncratic hodgepodge that really appeals to me, and "random collection of old things that you remember" is a trope people don't seem to ever get sick of—and new things are getting old every day. They're also a way to ease into pop culture references, which I haven't really done, and which might offset some of my Debbie-Downer tendencies (when you suggested "70s things" my actual first thought was "what do quaaludes even look like?" My first idea for the 80s was "Margaret Thatcher demolishing a council house," and my thought process for the 90s went "Monica Lewinsky's dress, OJ Simpson's gloves, Tonya Harding's crowbar… NAFTA?" Terrible patches, all. What people want as a little picture of a sofa at a jaunty angle with a caption that says "PIVOT!").

Anyway. I'm especially excited to try the disco ball, the record and the off-brand Tamagotchi (I preferred Gigapets, personally). Those all have double-length diagonals that I've freehanded a few times and know to work at least okay, but which I haven't figured out how to notate. Oh! and I haven't got a beach umbrella that I like just yet, but the hurricane cocktail seems like a good way to kick off a summer collection—as long as I don't follow it up with, like a graph of yearly average temperatures, which is something I would absolutely do.

i love when angry j2ers scream denying reality into my inbox. like no guys they were documented living together in van for 3 years, Misha finally let the cat out of the bag so everyone talked about it. Everyone knew. YVR knew. Everybody in fucking Vancouver knew. You're the only motherfuckers that didn't know.

You dumb motherfuckers even stalked Jensen going to see Misha. Goss was abuzz that Jensen had boarded a charter plane that wasn't Jared's, and insisted that J2 knew they knew J2 knew they knew their charter number and Jensen had smuggled Jared on, but Jared's plane left a few days later. Meantime, Jensen and Misha were both spotted same night at the museum a few blocks from their place. pFfFFfFf.

I know observing the real world is hard, but if Misha and Jensen were both at the museum, a few blocks from their place, at the same time, odds are they went together. Jensen's picture with fans was a selfie. Misha's was from about 8 feet distance. Gonna give you five guesses who suggested the picture and caption of Castiel wearing the bedazzled suit and took it for him roflmao

Also, it's genuinely funny these people think that random people in remote towns that don't have SPN on any of their socials report seeing Jensen and Misha together at the place is just fake i guess? next door to one of misha's legal residences I won't disclose so you can't stalk them. Almost like. Wait for it. The real Jensen doesn't give a fuck about your fanfic version of him and is good friends with Misha.

Now, what's really going to bend your noodle is when I tell you that place is one in the same with the Cursed Mountains. And matches his voting registration. So he considers it his personal home, even if he's there rarely between seeing the kids in "LA" (lmao no it's central cali he just lands in LA) and Atlanta. He DOES have LA properties, but the kids aren't actually in LA-LA.

If I said where every motherfucker with statcounter could catch him on tumblr tho so.

"Smile for me, darlin'"

Summary: After a relationship announcement, (y/n) receives endless hate from fans for no reason. She locks herself up in an empty dressing room before Josh goes to find her and help her.

Word count: 1.2K

Warnings: kissing, bullying, mention of death threats and suicide baiting but actual threats etc are not mentioned, panic attacks.

Here I am. Sat on the floor, my knees to my chest and head in hands. I've pushed myself up against the wall in the corner of this plain room. It's a spare dressing room because one of the support acts had to pull out but we had already booked it. It's similar to the other ones, it's four brick walls painted white without any windows and a lone table stands weak at the side of the room.

I feel the tears keep flowing as I scroll through the comments sections. The relationship announcement posts made by Josh on his various different social media: Twitter, Instagram and Tiktok. We made the posts and he didn't post anything until I was 100% happy with the posts. I was happy with them, I thought the posts were sweet and we were happy to announce it to the fans after our hidden relationship of over a year. The announcement had been a long time coming but I still had that little voice in the back of my head. What if the fans don't like me? What if they hate me? I was so concerned about the possible backlash but I kept pushing it aside. I wanted people to know, I didn't want to have to keep sneaking around and I wanted the fans to be happy for us but that didn't happen.

I scroll through the comments to see fans making fun of my appearance, my voice, and anything they could really. I open my Instagram DMs and Twitter messages to see endless streams of hate and bullying. It's overwhelming and I can't bear to look at it anymore but I torture myself anyway.

"Why does he even like her? What does he see in her?"

"He's too good for her."

"She's so ugly though-"

"She needs to leave Josh alone!"

"Why does she sound like that lmao."

They're seemingly endless and just keep coming, I refresh and there's more and more and more.

Eventually, I muster up the strength to throw my phone away from me. I look at the discarded technology with a sour face as another wave of emotion bombards me. A whole new train of thought.

What if Josh breaks up with me because the fans hate me? What if he finally sees that he's too good for me? What if he thinks I'm ugly and breaks up with me? These thoughts become more upsetting than the original comments. I wipe my eyes with the palm of my hand and I can feel the trails of mascara left behind on my tear-stained face. I run a stressed hand through my hair, moving it away from my face and over my head.

I push myself up against the wall as I feel myself slipping and tuck my knees into my chest and bury my face in them. My breathing is erratic and I feel my heart beating out of my chest. It was just a picture of me reading a book with my cat with a sweet caption from Josh. Why do I deserve to be hated? My mind spirals whilst my heart races until I hear a soft knock at the door.

I attempt silence, holding my breath and biting my lip to prevent any sounds from leaving my lips.

"(y/n)?" I hear Josh's voice from the other side accompanied by another knock. There's a pause before he speaks again. "Darling, I know you're in there…" I stay silent hoping he gives up and leaves. I love him but I can't face him right now. "(y/n), I'm coming in okay?" He pauses again waiting for resistance. "I’m coming in." He opens the door slowly and I finally blink, releasing my tears from the prison they call my eyes. "(y/n)?" He asks softly, my figure now being revealed.

He quickly moves to sit down next to me, against the wall.

"(y/n), what's wrong?" He asks worriedly and I look up to face him. My face shows the paths the trails of tears took to flee from my eyes and the shakiness of my hands portrays my nervousness. I try to explain, but all that comes out of my mouth is rushed breathing and bad attempts at words. "(y/n), breathe. Breathe, love." He says, holding my hands and simulating breathing, urging me to imitate his breathing pattern. I try and blink away the tears as I steady my breathing. "Okay, let's try again." He suggests and I nod, biting my lip to stop the tears.

"Can you…" I clear my throat. "Pass me my phone?" I ask quietly worried that if I speak louder, the tears will start again. He nods, passing me my discarded phone.

I unlock it and open Instagram first. I open the comments section on the post and pass him my phone so that he can see some of the comments. He looks at them in horror and my eyes assure him that that's not even the full extent. I take the phone back and open my DMs to reveal a whole new layer of hate. I missed them the first time but mixed in we're a few death threats and suicide-baiting messages. I look upwards, blinking away the tears as I watch his eyes start to water too.

"Are you gonna break up with me?" I ask timidly and he just looks at me shocked.

"No! Why would you think that?" He asks, desperately grabbing onto my hands.

"Your fans hate me." I point out, voice wavering. "They've made that obvious." I sneer.

"Why would I base my opinion of you, my girlfriend of over a year, on some messages from people who I have never met?" He asks like it's obvious.

"Do you think I'm ugly?" I ask miserably looking into his eyes for the first time.

"Don't listen to those fucking idiots!" He exclaims and the volume of his voice shocks me. "Sorry, but seriously. Do not listen to their bullshit! You are the most beautiful person I have ever met and you are the most beautiful person I will ever meet." He assures me, placing kisses on my hands to punctuate his sentences.

"You don't hate me?"

"Darling, I love you more than I have loved anything in my entire life. I'm sorry but you're stuck with me. It's gonna take more than those dickheads to break us up." He says, making me chuckle quietly.

"Come here." He beckons me and pulls me closer to him, into his lap. He sits on the floor cross-legged and sits me on top of him, straddling him. "Don't listen to them, they're a bunch of dicks." He reassures wrapping his arms around my waist as I snake mine around his neck. "I'll make a post afterwards addressing the situation making sure that they know that what happened is entirely inappropriate and disgusting. I'm so sorry." He says as I rest my head on his chest as he places a soft kiss on top of it.

"It's not your fault," I say still sniffling as he presses a kiss to my lips before wiping the remnants of tears from my eyes.

“Come on, smile.” He says and flashes his handsome smile making it a lot harder not to smile. “Smile for me, darlin’.” He smirks and I give in, showing him a small smile. “There’s that beautiful smile I love so much.”

totally disregard this if it’s too much! i just noticed your about and i’ve followed you for awhile and im a bit interested in the field you’re in!

omg of course, i don't mind at all! i actually kinda love talking about it – i'm the type of loser who genuinely likes their career (even though you WILL still see me bitching about the stupid aspects of it lmao).

under a cut because i am apparently incapable of shutting up!!

so i actually kinda fell into this line of work out of desperation lmao. i was originally trying to get a job in book publishing after i graduated college which is, like....notoriously difficult to break into. so after struggling for so damn long, i was at my wit's end when i had a thought like, "well, i grew up using social media. i'm on it all the time. i know how it works. lemme see if i can finagle this into a resume."

and then somehow it fucking worked??? i saw a job posting looking for a social media person to work specifically on this one company's twitter and tumblr accounts. yes, they were on tumblr. in 2016. and they needed someone who knew how it worked and how to run a blog. i was the only terminally online loser who fit the bill, and that's literally how i got started.

as far as degrees go, i majored in creative writing. social media degrees/studies were only JUST getting off the ground when i graduated, so it wasn't much of a thing back then. everything i know was either self-taught or learned via the WONDERFUL community of social media managers i've found over the years. there are SO many people who work in this field who are eager to help each other out, because the irony of it all is that it's.....kind of an isolating job? even though you're basically the frontline/mouthpiece of the company, your coworkers tend to forget about you. i've been left out of whole entire marketing meetings because they figured they could just hand me a pile of random content with ZERO context and i'd just be able to magically piece everything together by myself. so it's nice to have a community of folks that have been through the same struggles and can act as a shoulder for you to lean on when things get frustrating. and yeah, if i ever have a question about anything – from "what's a reasonable salary range for this position" to "what the fuck is going on with the instagram algorithm today" – someone will always answer.

and as for job progression, it's funny – when it comes to the actual job function, i haven't really "risen" up the ranks that much, but i LIKE it that way! i don't want to be a manager or anything like that – i really do love being the person who gets to dream up the content, write the captions, film the videos (sometimes), and figure out the best ways to share them. i've worked at 4 different companies since 2016 and by total coincidence, at each company i was the first person they'd ever hired to run social media as a single entity, rather than just handing it off to an employee who already had a full-time job of their own. so that means i also get to set all the benchmarks and design all the platform strategies from scratch – which sounds daunting but again, i'm the kind of loser who finds that shit fun lmao. it's partly creative and partly analytical, so it never gets boring.

ANYWAY yeah, can you tell i love chatting about this stuff lmao. it started out with me bullshitting my way into that first job by being like "i've been terminally online since 2009, please hire me" and now i actually DO know what i'm doing. kind of nuts!! i love it lol 💕
