I wanted to know how do you interpret Tanya's gender. After reading chapter 58 of the manga i got the impression that she is definitely trans coded, but maybe thats just me

Very good question.

To be honest, when I think too hard about Tanya’s gender (and sexuality, for that matter) it gives me brain worms. Fun brain worms, but brain worms nonetheless. I can’t explain it. Everything she’s got going on is complicated as shit there’s way too much to think about.

Like, she was a man, but now she's a girl. But at some points she says she still sees herself as a man internally so is this MtFtM? How does that work. And if she accepts she's a woman now, is that just MtF or do we add more letters. More importantly: Was Being X being Transphobic or being the Greatest Trans Ally of All Time with the free divinely issued sex change.

Ok ok, jokes aside. Confession: I actually do not keep up with the manga, so I had to go find the chapter and read it first. Having read it now though, I see what you mean.

The conversation she has with the Salaryman/herself in that chapter really does read as essentially saying “I’ve accepted who I am now.” It’s a far cry from a much earlier part of the manga I remember where she has a breakdown about being a man/people seeing her as a girl.

A friend of mine was actually showing me stuff from more recent chapters of the manga (don’t know which chapter tragically, but I know it’s not currently translated to English) and from what I gathered of it, Being X was showing Tanya a dream of being back in her past life and in response she basically demanded to go back to being Tanya immediately. It is definitely not just you, I 100% see the trans-coding you’re talking about.

As for my personal interpretation of her gender, I touched very briefly on it once before, but I honestly think she wouldn’t want to label herself as anything. At first, this is out of hesitance and not wanting to acknowledge that anything might be ““wrong”” or ““different”” about her. Later on it turns into character growth, more along the lines of, “I don’t need the label to define me, I just am what I am/like what I like. I don’t care about it any more than that.” Yes this is 100% projection on my part. No, I won’t apologize for it lmao.

Of course, that's entirely my own headcanon. I definitely am not saying it’s the only way to interpret her, it’s just my personal thoughts. Especially since my opinion is subject to change on a dime depending on what I’m reading/working on myself. The Tanya gender is, in fact, transient, shifting like water.

Like. A transfem Tanya fic that focuses on her adapting to life in her new world and coming to discover she doesn’t actually hate her new body? I’d totally read that. I’ve seen a few fics that include that as a part of the narrative and those scenes of acceptance were among my favorite parts.

I get the feeling this is the route that the manga is going as well. It’s a bit of a shame that we don't have those aforementioned scenes in the light novel (or at least, I don't remember them), but I don’t think that Carlo Zen really intended that to be the focus/narrative in the first place. And honestly, I also think that’s a good thing because it allows for so much more room for interpretation and headcanon around Tanya’s character.

Anyway, the other direction is also compelling to me. A transmasc Tanya fic where, after feeling uncomfortable and hating how feminine he looks for years and years, he finally goes ‘Fuck this, I’m gonna go back to being a man’? I would read the fuck out of that too.

Could also be paired with him finally choosing to defect, where they think about it like, ‘Well there’s nothing to hold me back now, right? I don’t have to maintain appearances anymore. Also, since I’m defecting this would be a great way to hide myself. They’d all be looking for the wrong person. Two birds with one stone, how efficient.’ …Now we’re getting to fic ideas I won’t ever get to so it’s time to move on I think.

Semi-related to the Trans Tanya Concept, this actually brings me to a bit of a lore/headcanon/idea/question I want to present to the public for opinions. In Norden, during the inciting battle of the war, Tanya uses magic to “dope up” so she could enhance her strength and reaction time and kill pain. I took this to mean she used a formula to synthesize the narcotics/adrenaline hormone/whatever else directly into herself, right?

Can you see where I’m going with this? As long as you know which hormones to make, how they’re made up, and what quantities you need… Well, don’t you think magic HRT is completely possible? Of course, as I'm not sure it makes sense for Salaryman to have known the detailed specifics about it from the modern world, it would require a lot of in-universe research/science advancement for someone to actually do that, but theoretically...

The magic system in this universe has so much potential to be explored, I’m fascinated by what you can theoretically do with it. Although, this is long and off-topic already I think this should be the end, lol.

I think I talked too much? I’m sorry, you were probably not expecting such an answer. I told you, Tanya gives me brain worms (mental illness).

Ngl, based on the trailers I had really low expectations for this movie, and it was really only after watching some TikToks with the villain song in them that I decided to give it a chance, and I'm so glad I did. 3 is by far my favourite of the entire series. Was not expecting to love Viva, but she was fantastic and I wish we had more screen time with her!

While I'm not entirely sure how I will/would integrate her into the Rough and Fluff AU, I decided to make a design for her anyways, complete with some little headcanons/additions. (Click the image for better quality)

Okay okay, movie discussion first:

-I fucking LOVE the Putt Putt Trolls. Its so satisfying seeing how the trauma from the bergens being more fleshed out, and it makes perfect sense that they are as fearful as they are. I'm actually surprised there wasn't more pushback when Viva stopped them from executing Bridget and Gristle.

-(How did they escape actually? The tunnels collapsed, but were there other tunnels? Or did they have a different way out? How did so many, including the eldest heir to the throne, get left behind? Why did Peppy not get BOTH his daughter's immediately?)

-On the topic of Viva; notice how her ears are lower/sharper than Poppy's? I think that's typically a more masculine trait (not 100% bc we see some male trolls with softer/rounder ears) so uh yeah MTF Viva real suck my entire nards

-Fuck King Peppy. This guy gets worse every movie. He is the Dumbledoor/Sensi Wu of Trolls. Mans cannot just give Poppy relevant information to save his LIFE. I can understand not telling Poppy immediately, the grief of loosing his eldest daughter would understandably make that hard, but its been over 20 years now, and she deserved to know.

-Also, fuck most of Branch's brothers! I'm glad JD went back eventually (when exactly he did isn't clear, but sometime between the night of the escape and the first movie) but if he assumed Branch had died, why not try and contact his other siblings to tell them? Clay I can kinda understand with him not wanting to venture out beyond the mini golf area and leave the trolls he was helping to protect, but the rest of them? Not one of them tried to go back for their baby brother? Not even Floyd? When Trollstice was a thing?? Branch shoulda thrown hands fr.

-Rhonda the armadillo bus thing was hella cute and I want a plushie.

-I. Do not really like Crimp

-Velvet and Veneer slayed sooooooo hard. I hope Veneer makes a comeback.

-I also hope we see more of the other troll tribes again.

-The music for this movie was absolutely fire and I NEED a full cover of Sweet Dreams

-I wish the Grandma's death was touched on more than once for like .5 seconds. Like, come on guys, your brother just revealed a major trauma, and that your GRANDMA died!! For christ sake, maybe go apologize for fighting?? maybe go comfort him????

Movie numero 4 predictions:

-Broppy marriage. Branch fr said "Lets get married" by accident HES THINKING ABOUT IT

-Either Poppy/Viva get their mom back, or Branch gets one/both of his parents. Dreamworks will pull some bullshit out of their ass and say that uhm actually they escaped like years before the others did and have been, idk, trapped in the shadow realm or something.

-We see Chef/Creek again. Creek redemption ark would go crazy hard IF DONE RIGHT and I want to see that fear of some monster trying to eat all your friends come back again

-Broppy kid reveal at the end of the movie. Unbelievable amounts of Plush Toy Marketing and terrible spin offs ensue.

-backstory/lore/backstory/lore/backstory/lore/BACK

-I just want to see more Trollstice era stuff plz dreamworks

-We get a Sound of Silence reprise

-Branch/his brothers are revealed to be a hybrid/some kind of special troll. I am TELLING YOU this guy adapted to different kinds of music like it was NOTHING, something Poppy and the others struggled with. Hes got something in him I SWEAR

-Tiny diamond is, once again, part of the main supporting characters

Au shiz:

-If Viva IS put in, its going to most likely be during the sequel. Peppy is already going to be dragged through the mud, might have him mention something about a lost sibling near the end of the OG fic, and since the Pop trolls will be looking for a new home, maybe they'll run into her

-Branch's brothers will not be making an appearance. They simply dont fit into the narrative. I may do an alternate au with them included but who knows.

-Mildly considering making Tiny Diamond a Greek kid. (Guy x Creek) would make for some interesting angst.

Trans Mtf! Steve Headcanons

-Okay so her egg cracked kinda late (me too) but she ALWAYS loved being called Stevie and associates it with friends since it was mostly close friends who would call her it (Nancy began the trend cause I say so)

- I don't think her egg officially cracked until season two, possibly when he was helping Dustin get ready for the dance.

-I imagine Dustin saying something like "You have a routine like a girl" or something similar and Steve just

-She doesn't say anything and when she gets home that night she goes to the make up drawer her mom keeps (even though she's never around) and hesitantly puts on some lipstick to try it out

-She doesn't like the texture (matte lipstick is hell on chapped lips) but she enjoys to look. She always looked more like her mom but how she can see it and her mind emphasizes it with glee.

-She doesn't put a name to it or anything but she knows enough and she keeps it close. She explore more in the safety of her empty house and by time the summer hits she has her small victories.

-She wears a tinted chaptstick and gloss to work, a few stroke of a brown mascara wand and sometimes-if she dares- a touch of eyeshadow on her outer corners. Her nails aren't painted but a coat of clear polish is enough to make her fingertips feel heavier, feel longer and cared for. She even cuts her cuticles.

-Its not enough but she's happy with what she has.

-Robin isn't fun at first- the two don't get along until the Russians and when Robin confesses in the bathroom- says she doesn't like boys but instead likes girls Stevie feels the need to spout it out.

-"I'm not a boy. " She'd whisper between giggles about Tommy Tompson, interrupted by the kids before she could explain.

-And she'd remember what she said, would remember Robins confused and sober face at the confession, but she wouldn't bring it up. Neither would until nearly Christmas.

-Robin would come over to visit, dressed in a large sweater and pajama pants and they'd watch Rankin/Bass Christmas movies for hours. I'd be late-much too late in the night when Robin would pipe up.

-"I did some research. " She'd begin, not explaining her ramble before it began. "About what you said. Not being a boy- there's terms and stuff. It's actually really cool and scary but it's a thing and if I'm wrong or if it was the stupid drugs you can tell me to shut up but-"

-and Steve would just stare, unsure if she wanted to lie. She trusted Robin, trusted her more than she probably ever trusted Nancy, but was this a conversation she was allowed to have? A selfish need she was allowed to fulfill?

-Robin would just hold her hand, taking her from her mind before smiling nervously. "Stevie? "

-And the dams would break and suddenly the two would be hugging and crying on the floor while Rudolph's nose was glowing on screen

-Later robin would bring by boxes. Stevie would ask but Robin would shush her and make her open it to see.

-Inside would be a mountain of clothes, obviously some we're robins (the Mitch matched fabrics that we're just her style and a few sizes too big, some with her handwriting forever invested in the threads) and some others seemingly an attempt at mirroring Stevie's previous style (Girls style polos and plenty of plain color sweaters that seemed fitted). When asked Robin would just shrug

-"Figured if we're doing this you can't go around in your boring polos," Shed say

-And something about her saying 'We're doing this' that makes her feel all teary eyed and choked up

-By time season four hits they have a system in place.

-Stevie still does a little make up, makes her moles just a tad darker and even dares to contour her cheek bones to look higher, her eyeshadow is replaced by a tighten waterline and underneath her outfits she wears a pair of spanks that makes her waistline look a bit more curvy. She tried a bra once but it was itchy and tight and Robin just told her bra were overrated and she rarely ever wore one unless it was a sports bra

-And sports bras became Stevies favourite thing in the world

-When they hung out alone Stevie would wear the clothes Robin brought her. She'd wear shorts that shown off her muscled legs (which robin totally wasn't jealous of what?) and if she was daring, even a cropped shirt. She'd let Robin do her makeup and they'd just talk like nothing ever changed. Robin enjoyed it- with no little sisters in her life she was easy to accept Stevie and with no older sister at home Stevie fell into the dynamic happily.

-Added Steddie because I love them-

-And when she meets Eddie Munson, it's sort of odd.

-Because they're different- very different, and Stevie knows this: knows in her heart that the only familiar area between them was Dustin and the kids

-But her brain is making connections that are unknown to her.

-And Eddie seems to do the same because over the days he tries making conversation, tries joking and acting like they've been best friends for year's but half the time it leaves a confused Stevie and a frustrated Eddie.

-But Stevie tries, she asks questions and tries to engage because her brain tells her to, even if she doesn't know why

-And one night, when everyone is asleep after working on a plan, Stevie turns to Eddie and asks him a question that had been bugging her.

-"Whats the bandana for? "

-And a blush is on Eddies face, he twirls his long hair around his fingers and mumbles about underground meanings and something something not that important Steve promise you

-But Stevie is curious and topics have been gloomy so she scoots closer and asks again. "I'm not gonna give up yknow. "

-And so begins the half whispered explanation about coding and hankies and underground scenes suddenly makes much more sense to Stevie.

-Because she is there too, even when no one knew.

-And when he says it's a gay thing she can't help but be hurt, her chest aching as she asks. "So you don't date girls? "

-And Eddie would miss it as he began to explain the complexity of sexuality and how labels weren't always a priority and hearts not parts

-And maybe Stevie understood, and maybe she didn't because labels always made her comfortable but she would just smile and nod, and whisper about how she understood.

-"You understand? King Steve Harrington understands little queer me? "

-"More than you know Munson. "

-And it would probably click in Eddies mind, his eyes shimmering a tad but neither asks or tells, instead they'd lean against each other and looked out the window at the big moon as they prepare to face the reality of their situation again.

-and when the dust settled, both of them scarred (physically and literally) and bloody but alive, Stevie would admit it. Eddie would whisper about shaved bald hair and a chest that wasn't meant to be his but was given to him anyways. And Stevie would giggle at his poetic explanations of their situations.

-"Yknow the greens said soulmates used to be one person with 4 arms and 4 legs- they got split apart and they find eachother. I think we got split up and borrow a few pieces from eachother by accident"

-and they'd grow old, find the things that work and be happy:)

How do you imagine a Headcanon of Trans!Kalim, who hid this secret from his family, even from Jamil himself (except Cater and Lilia, as both are also trans in the headcanon, and Yuu, because in his world, he had a friend who he was also trans, so he was already suspicious), but what about his secret is revealed during chapter 4?

I don't mind trans HC, be it mtf or ftm, and Kalim who has been shown to repress a lot of things could be an interesting character to see through that lens. It's easier for me to write what I know so unless I'd have help with someone that had personal experience with the subject I wouldn't go there but I like reading fics that touches on the subject.

Now for your idea my real issue would be about the reveal since book 4 doesn't exactly offers a lot of opportunities for it. The one way I can see it happens is if it somehow came out when Jade used Shock the heart on Kalim and that, during the next day the Octo trio and Yuu keep slipping up about it knowing how Kalim identify as. So it'd be an accidental outing and it's not guaranteed Jamil takes it seriously at first. It may need Kalim properly coming out to him as a man or a woman in their talk post OB. That's the nicest way I can see things happens in Book 4.

In a more traumatic fashion, there would be a purposeful outing done by the Octo trio (if we keep the idea that Jade found out first), but that would make them way too scummy and antagonistic so I'd avoid that road. What would be interesting is having Jamil found out by using his UM to dig shameful secret to use as ammo against Kalim. Kalim hypnotize would reveal to Jamil their true gender and Jamil would be too shock to do anything about it. Not knowing how to deal with the info he'd pretend it doesn't exist. However he can't help himself but look up more information about transgender people because how did he miss something so big? During Book 2 and 3 you can have some encounters with him where he's reading up the subject. Yuu would notice but Jamil will always be gone before they can ask him about it. Yuu would wonder if Jamil is an egg but it's not until interacting furthermore with him and Kalim in book 4 that they realize that Kalim is the one who's trans, maybe after the carpet ride? Anyway Jamil who had noticed that Yuu seemed knowledgeable on the subject ends up asking them a few questions about it, without saying anything about Kalim. Yuu could try to advise him, and Jamil might finally finish processing the revelation. Unfortunately, Azul and the Tweels shows up right after that. So Jamil not only doesn't have the time to decide what to do about Kalim's identity but he also doesn't have time to talk to them about it. So when the OB happens, it gets ugly. When Jamil rants in the middle of the transformation he calls Kalim a spoiled little girl or boy depending if they're a trans woman or man. Kalim ends up having a full blown panic attack in the desert. Floyd, Grim and Azul are not very helpful with that. Thankfully Jade and Yuu are here. The rest proceeds as usual until we get to the post fight. Jamil is confronted with the realization that he doesn't hate Kalim, and that he also didn't want to out him like that and that had been a major dick move. They have a lot to talk about. Cater and Lilia when they learned what happened and how Kalim got outed are not happy. They understand that Jamil hadn't meant to do it and that's he's trying not to be an ass about it, but he clearly doesn't know how to be supportive either. (In the sense that besides intimidating any transphobe that might try to pull shit after winter break, he doesn't know what to do). So they give him a little hell but they also give him pointers so that Kalim doesn't have to deal with too much bs at once. Jamil is on thin ice.

The story could end with an heartfelt talk where JamiKali reconcile/confess and a cut to their future together or it could be prolonged to book 5. Vil who is canonically a lot more fluid with gender (see the posts about the pronouns he used in Japanese among other things) could be an interesting add on, but it's mostly the cohabitation that would make the evolution of their relationship more natural and interesting. The VDC would be an occasion for the both of them to regain control of their public image : Jamil wants people to forget about winter break while Kalim could use it to present as the gender they identify as. They'd have the support of the rest of the tribe with Yuu, Vil and Rook offering a bit more wisdom than the rest, and Grim, Ace, Deuce and Epel being a bit clueless but ready to throw hands if needed. Epel might have a lot of question to ask Kalim because he also struggles with how people perceive him and how he wants to be perceived. It might also force Vil to recognize and respect Epel's boundaries more.

So yeah, lots of potential there!

I've a whole "trope theory" about different types of intelligence groups tend to have, and simply put it goes

book smarts, street (survival) smarts, emotional smarts, social smarts

and how those mix and match to show through in characters that are disregarded as stupid and I personally believe Steve is very Socially _and_ emotionally smart but because he's arguably in line to be the most toxic masculine people by reputation (not personality but the past -both his and his dads- linger) people don't notice it.

Hi anon, of course I want to talk about Steve's intelligence - because I am so so so tired of him being written off as the fool, and I am especially tired of people pretending like he is not the most emotionally intelligent person in the show other than potentially Will or Joyce. Also in advance, I totally go on a BUNCH of tirades and rants so I'm sorry if you lose the thread at all, I just have a lot of thoughts and they all FEEL important to me. So yeah, this is a long one.

I haven't read many fics where Neurodivergent! Steve's divergence is specifically autism and personally I feel that other divergences fit him better such as OCD (see - his need to keep things tidy, instances of reduced impulse control, repetitive/ritualistic behaviors, hypervigilance, and agitation), ADHD (see - his need to be moving lots of pacing and bouncing, difficulty concentrating on the group discussions, impulsivity), Dyslexia/Dyscalculia (personal/popular headcanon), or something that would affect his audio processing (personal/unpopular headcanon; see- being unable to get past the music on the recording, difficulty following along with the group discussions, immediately losing track of the group in the Upside Down Wheeler's house when he thinks he hears Dustin)- but I definitely read him as someone whose brain works in a way that is non-typical which is something we ABSOLUTELY see in season 3 where he focuses in on the music and it seems like he literally can't focus on the Russian words until he knows what the music is.

But what it comes down to is that so many people read the fact that he didn't get into college (which is more indicative of a lack of testing skills than it is for actual intelligence) and his inability to follow along with group discussions about Upside Down stuff (which could point to issues with concentration or audio processing or just a lack of knowledge regarding the lingo being used) as a way to characterize him entirely as an idiot/fool. This of course isn't helped by the Duffers refusing to deepen his character beyond "he was bad but now he's good because now he's interacting with intelligent™ people". So to answer this question, I'm all for fics that explore Steve's intellect through a lens of "no he's not dumb, he just processes information in an atypical way".

I'm not 100% sure I'm interpreting this question correctly but I have some issues with fics where the character of interest is 'pretending' to be stupid so it entirely depends on what the motivation behind doing so is.

If the motivation is "I play dumb so that I can fit in better and not be bullied for being smart" I don't like it that much - I feel like in a lot of media, and American media especially, there is this perpetuation of Smart=Unpopular/Bullied/Unathletic and Dumb=Popular/Bully/Athletic and I don't like that because in my lived experience that really isn't the case - I have friends that were the Valedictorian's of their high schools by gpa that were also class president and soccer captian and genuinely good people and some of the meanest people I have ever met were stereotypical™ nerds. So if the motivation is that he pretends to be dumb specifically to fit in and not get bullied I don't really like it. HOWEVER, if the motivation is "I downplay my intelligence so that people underestimate me" that's different and I can get behind it to a degree - no one is perfect and Steve was not the best person at first so him having a little manipulation bit like this would make sense.

Also this leads into another thing I feel we don't talk about enough - Steve is a jock with a head for STRATEGY and you cannot tell me otherwise. The ability to strategize is something we like to take away from jocks all across media, but as a former athlete myself I can tell you that a LOT of thought goes into athletic strategy and it translates well to other aspects of life. We also see Steve make quick strategic decisions A LOT but we never mention them - some examples include when he leads the scoops troop through the crowded russian base w/o getting caught - some of this is simply poor writing/tracking and i will admit that but if we suspend our disbelief for a second it's Steve that looks at the set up takes in the information and says "Follow me, stay low and be quick" as they navigate that scene, we also see it in season two when him and Dustin get to the junkyard and he says "oh yeah this will do nicely" and then he proceeds to set the stage for catching Dart with a clearing to trap him, a reinforced fort for protection and surveillance and honestly the only reason this goes wrong is because there was more than one demodog. So yeah being good with strategy lends itself well to Steve using his intelligence as a manipulation for others to underestimate him. I personally would love for there to be a fic where one of the kids challenges Steve to a strategy game like chess or risk or something like that and for him to DECIMATE them because strategy is the thing he's good at.

For one I would like to quickly put out there that Steve almost definitely got a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) from the Russian Torture - and probably PCS (Post Concussion Syndrome) from the fight with Billy (I would also like to quickly mention that these are different things with different causes and potential future outcomes/side effects, I feel like they get confused a lot in this fandom which is totally fine but just a reminder that a concussion comes specifically from your brain impacting your skull and how he receives his head injuries from Jonathan and the Russians would indicate to me that he probably didn't have a concussion those times but when he crashes the car in season three he could have easily gotten a whiplash concussion which is something we don't talk about but does actually happen a lot and it's less likely to get treated because people don't realize you can get a concussion w/o hitting your head. Also I am so sorry about this head trauma info dump, it's just a subject I have lots of experience with/knowledge about).

ANYWAY, yeah TBIs and PCS can really mess with your head and are often the cause of things like memory loss - as well as vision and hearing impairment. Also TBIs have been studied a lot in American Football players and sometimes they can even cause shifts in personality. (Also @peter-pantomime has some really good discussions and headcanons regarding Steve's head traumas so I highly suggest their content both here and on tiktok.)

And yes, Steve consistently proves to be extremely socially intelligent. You do not get to the top of the high school food chain by simply being attractive or athletic, you have to be capable of understanding and manipulating certain social interactions - walking into a room and knowing who to talk to and who to avoid, popularity is often just a matter of networking and part of the reason Steve loses his popularity is because he abandons the network he built himself up through and switches it out for a group of people much lower on the social ladder. We also can tell he's incredibly emotionally intelligent through his interactions with others - scenes that really show this are Steve cleaning up the theater sign and going to apologize to Jonathan (some might say this is just emotional maturity but i would like to point out that he was emotionally intelligent enough to realize that it was Jonathan that deserved the apology instead of just Nancy) (s1), when Will comes home and we see him empathize with the worry of Joyce & Jonathan (s2), when he can seemingly tell that something happened between Nancy and Jonathan but instead of lashing out he supports her (also s2), when Robin comes out to him and also technically rejects him but he just treats her like normal (s3), like… every scene with him and Max in S4, and also when he tells Eddie that he needs to stop being so hard on himself when he keeps talking about how much of a coward he is (also S4).

Yes do it, caveat: I think it needs to be Robin, Eddie, or Will - I think everyone else is a little too in their own way of realizing Steve has consistently made good points.

For Robin, as a Queer Platonic Stobin truther, I feel like if anyone were to really get into Steve's brain it would be her.

For Eddie, I feel it comes from that same vein that we see people pointing out that Eddie is the only person who directly answer Steve's questions, so it would make sense for him to be the one to say "wait hey - Steve is actually asking incredibly relevant questions that lead to a point he wants to make."

For Will, I simply think that he's the most emotionally intelligent member of the original Party and also the one with the fewest interactions with Steve so if he were to be with Steve in a time of crisis he wouldn't ignore Steve's thoughts the way that sometimes happens and notice something about how he processes information or something and be like "why did you guys all tell me he was dumb, he's making extremely relevant points right now?"

Headcannon Dumping (2)

Soul Master likes jewelry, especially circlets. While all of the other bugs in the city wear wigs, he wears a crown for himself to signify how important he views himself.

Intersex Quirrel. I really like the idea of him having a pouch to carry young kids as female pillbugs have them in real life. But since I already made Traitor Lord trans(and if I were to make another character trans, I would make them mtf), I decided to just make Quirrel intersex, having him possess only a few female features.

Hive Knight can't fly due to having a Deformed Wing Virus (DWV), which is an actual virus that affects bees. This may be canon as he doesn't have wings in-game. But what isn't canon is that Herrah made Hive Knight multiple cloaks with wing-like imagery, which made him more beautiful than all of the other bees with wings.

Vessels do not need to eat to survive but they do need nutrients to grow and develop. They have mouths hidden under the bottom of their shell. However, I would like to think that their mouths are horrifying. I would also like to think they have a double mouth like an Xenomorph from the Alien franchise. (The image below is the mouth in question):

Wyrms can grow fur depending on where they live, kinda like how animals grow and lose their fur depending on the season. However, you wouldn't be able to see these as the fur grows between their scales and is hidden away most of the time. This allows pockets of heat to be stored away so it doesn't get messy from all of the dirt it has to tunnel through. Vessels also grow fur, but it really depends on the amount of nutrients they get and the environment they grow up in.

This ties into the last point, but White Lady can grow fur or fuzz. I imagine it would feel like poison ivy. I would imagine that when the vessel grows this, it would initially be difficult to tell if it was fur or plant fuzz. But when maintaining the vessel's fuzz/fur, the retainer's hands and arms would get itchy, meaning that the vessel can be poisonous.

I kinda mentioned this in the knight's backstory, specifically for Isma's backstory, but she was born in a "communal family unit", or a household with multiple parents. Polyamory is common within Greenpath, though there isn't a head of the household, and consists of multiple types of parents instead of a father and multiple wives.

Manti are the Germans of the bug world. They speak so aggressively but they could be talking about the most normal stuff.(I know in my language headcanon I say that their language would sound like Afrikaans, but I am saying German as I see memes about it more often.)

Dr. Zippety Wonderwhatsit (Just "Zip" for short) was not a generated name, it was handcrafted. "Dr." because I like mad doctor characters, "Zippety" somewhat in reference to "Zebedee" from "The Magic Roundabout", "Wonderwhatsit" to mimic when people say "whatchamacallit", and just shortened to Zip sometimes for peoples sanity.

He was just intended to be a Toontownsona, but has actually now become my fursona. In doing so he's replaced Fatlip, my previous fursona (Though I still cherish Fatlip, since he was made by an old friend I'll never see again)

Zip gets paired with a few of the different characters in TTCC. You've probably seen him with Buck Ruffler and Alton S. Crow, but Dave Brubot is the 3rd addition to his collection of Robot Wives. Zip is also paired with my boyfriends Toon "Cap'n Snappy Gigglesnout". With this, I hope it's obvious Zip is polyamorous!!

Zip does have a sibling, my sisters Toon "Little Pearl" (the kiwi). Though to explain why they're different species and still related? TL;DR what happens when a toon and a cog fall in love + headcanons on how Toons are "born" (drawn into existence) and Zip is the result of a joke, Little Pearl had more thought.

The first gags Zip had were "squirt" and "drop". For Clash players you're probably screaming at the top of your lungs for this combo and in my defence: I thought it was really funny.

A majority of the time you will NOT find Zip without a hat in game, but in art I draw him with nothing added on. This is because he looks so bald in game it hurts my soul. You'll also never find him without those shades, I've never taken them off since the moment I put them on

Zip has influenced both my internet and irl life. During my last hospitalisation I had "toontown fixation withdrawls" and recreated him in Splatoon out of desperation. After that he influenced the decision of getting circle glasses just so I could get matching circle shades, and my favourite sets of clothes that I have bought since his creation are all shades of green (a.k.a my VFX classes worst nightmare). This also means after years of not knowing my favourite colour, it's blatantly obvious what I like now

Zip, like me, is British. Just like me the angrier he gets the more British he sounds (going from "oh my god fuck off die" to "You fucking wanker piss of you tosser. dickhead"

A little ramble: Zip is probably so intertwined with myself because of transgender metaphors. I've seen deers used as trans metaphors with the whole antlers thing, either losing them (mtf) or gaining them (ftm). Sometimes I forget to draw him with antlers but I feel it fits his entire [waves hands] trans thing

FINAL FACT: Zip takes a GREAT PRIDE in his house. It is very well decorated and usually changes around with the seasons (e.g. changing wallpapers to match halloween/christmas). In typing this I realise I've missed a bunch of catalogues in game <- will never recover

-he offers to take you out to get new clothes you feel more comfortable with and maybe to get a haircut if you want/need one

-his first reaction is to joke that you should have come out with something like a gender reveal party with a cake or baloons

-even though he's not serious about the topic (is he ever serious in general?) it's obvious that he's accepting and supportive. Joking and teasing is just his love language

-honestly, he kind of suspected it for a while already but never asked you about it because he wanted you to take your time with coming out when you're ready

-he's the first person you came out to which makes him very emotional, but also because he's proud of you

gonna infodump about the lawmane kids now!!

So, I decided that there are 3 kids living, and one deceased. they all have Misa’s last name, and their names are [in birth order] Saeko Amane, Keiko Amane, and Loe Amane. Mind you, they’re all teenagers.

Saeko and Keiko are twins, born like an hour apart.

Saeko is the eldest Amane child, and he is also the one he resembles his father the most. He has a similar facial structure to his father, as well as his father’s pale complexion and black hair. He has his mother’s blue eyes, and his dress style is more similar to his mother’s rather than his father’s. He was born deaf, but he has hearing aids now. He knows sign language as well. He’s definitely the smartest of the Amane children, and he spends the majority of his time goofing off rather than doing schoolwork. It comes natural to him anyway, so he doesn’t need to study. Another trait he received from his father is that same protective nature, he’s very protective over his family. He also looks up to his father a lot, and he wants to work in forensics when he’s older.

Keiko is the second eldest, again only younger than Saeko by a little less than an hour. She’s trans [MtF] and her family is very accepting. She’s a little less bright, more similar to Misa in terms of intellect, but L and Saeko are very willing to tutor her. She’s very androgynous looking, with chin length blonde hair and blue eyes. She has a more alt-ish dress style, regularly wearing band tees and stuff like that. She’s also freckly and actually really pretty [🤭], but if you tell her she won’t believe you. Her relationship with Loe is much better than her relationship with Saeko. Keiko aims to be a lyricist when she’s older.

Loe is the youngest kid, and the one who resembles Misa the most closely. Pretty, popular, and preppy. She’s alright in terms of smarts and intellect, and she definitely resembles Misa more than L in terms of intellect. She’s a bit mean, and very intimidating, she just can’t communicate very well. She has a better relationship with her mother than her father [and so do her siblings]. She really likes toxicology and is probably secretly raising Foxglove in her room. She has a pretty singing voice, and she’s a nice actress as well, so she would make BANK a model like Misa, but she’s just more interested in studying toxicology. She’s probably one of those high school “mean girls”, well, she’s perceived as one, but she isn’t really one. She has a better relationship with Keiko than Saeko, the reason being that both Keiko and Loe envy Saeko and feel that their parents favor Saeko.

L is also a bit of a crappy father, sorry. He’s just at work all the time and never around to spend time with his wife and kids. But, on the occasion that he does get a break, he makes SURE to make it up to them. His does favor Saeko internally, but he feels horrible about it and he tries not to let it show. He just always wanted a kid that was just like him, and Saeko was like that for him.

Also, for the aforementioned deceased Amane child, there was one kid that ending up dying either when they were a few months old or due to Misa having a miscarriage. I haven’t decided on their name or the circumstances of their death yet, but it’s big angst fuel because “G--d-mnit, L, why couldn’t you have been home when it happened?!”

I just really need to write a fic in the Happily Ever After AU where Misa and L get married and have these kids. It would be quite cute, actually. If you have any ideas for these kids, tell me!!

i’m so glad that you acknowledged that L wouldn’t be a good parent because he 100% would NOT be. he dedicates so much time to his work and barely even gave thought to his successors, so he’d probably prioritize cases and work over everything else. however, he’d still try and make it up to them, you’re right.

i’ve always headcanoned misa as having her whole life planned out since she was a little girl. she had her wedding planned, her kids’ names, her job, her husband, everything. so when it comes to the miscarriage and all of the little imperfections in her family, she kind of struggles with not being able to live a perfect happily ever after like she wanted, but it’s as close as she’s getting.

i immediately took an interest in L and saeko’s dynamic. L having a mini-him running around would give him some sense of pride, although a bit uncanny at first *cough cough* beyond. saeko's super perceptive, so he definitely notices his dad's subtle favoritism and tries to shift his dad's favor to his siblings, which barely works. he'd probably feel some guilt over being, essentially, the only child his dad really gave a second thought in his eyes. you and i both know that would 100% not be L's intention, but it would come off that way to the kids.

i don't have much to say about keiko and loe imma be honest. they seem like they'd be pretty close, like you mentioned. i can imagine misa taking them out shopping and/or going out to places while L watched over saeko.
