NaNoWriMo Severitus update:

I'm listening to messy drama from tiktok and reddit being read to me by a youtuber while crafting the family backstory of Eileen Prince. I decided Severus Snape has an uncle who died in the crossfire of a Diagon Alley attack, hit by Sirius Black. He isn't just the Half-blood Prince, he's the last Prince able to have kids.

The tea is hot.

It is messy and just keeps getting messier.

Eileen didn't get disowned until Severus was two. She did everything wrong while Tobias was deployed. Her parents tried to get custody of Severus but failed because people thought it was motivated by blood purity. It was a bit, but mostly it was Eileen working the oldest profession behind her husband's back.

I'm having a ball.

Procopius Severus Aetius Prince be popping off, ranting about how he doesn't know where he went wrong to have a whore for a daughter. Proud Grandpa in his wheelchair about to be everybody's problem.

Also Dragon Pox is polio. Same virus different name because I said so.

Severus was born in a muggle hospital and therefore has an NHS number. Child services might have been too overworked to notice his home life, but they did get him all the essential medical checkups and vaccinations because those records can be checked without leaving the office. You can't tell me he doesn't have one, the system probably has him listed as dead or missing because he's definitely not paying muggle taxes.

Grandma Philyra hears Severus adopted a five-year-old child and is frothing. She was promised grandbabies when her son got married, but that didn't happen and Eileen ran off. She's going to get herself a great-grandbaby to spoil instead if it takes busting down some doors. If her husband doesn't convince Severus to climb back onto the family tree she won't be responsible for the consequences.

Eileen went rouge because she caught a bad case of catholic schoolgirl fever. (Is that an americanism?) Controlling overprotective parents let her go make her own decisions for the first time at age 18 and she spun off wild at light speed. She was used to being rich and couldn't live off Tobias' income as an infantryman so she made more on her back.

I don't know how I will edit what I wrote today, but I wanted to share the mess I made of these people's lives.
