I feel like yandere Alastor would either be freakishly aware of his feelings for you from day 1 OR he would need to gradually grow into realizing it himself UNTIL one day you do something incredibly mundane like get a haircut and he's having like A VISIBLY NEGATIVE REACTION TO IT
Alastor pretending he's so unflappable and unbothered and this mf is a serial killer who started eating people and one day he turns to greet you and your hair is completely different from the last time he saw you and he's all but crushing the whiskey glass in his hand. Oh darling, what did you DO? He hates it :') it plunges him straight into cold water, makes him UNCOMFORTABLY AWARE that, oh wait shit that's right, you and him are barely even acquaintances; OF COURSE he technically should not have any input on how you act or style yourself
... but he wants to, and he's so extremely bothered by this sudden jarring realization that you could completely change at any time without his input or control and THAT makes him viscerally uncomfortable. What if, what if he turns around again and you're-you're degrading yourself by sleeping with some hooligan?! What kinds of people are you interacting with on your bothersome social media? You're not talking to someone like VOX are you?!
I'm convinced that you could be the most untalented unremarkable individual without any noticeable skills or talents that would benefit Alastor in any way whatsoever and he's still over here, "you know what would be a perfectly reasonable response to this? Lovingly tricking my poor dear into giving me their soul so I can help steer them onto the right path :) and by 'help' i mean completely take away their option to refuse me :) for their own good :) it'll be a real gas!"
A night comes when Alastor is out with Nifty and Husker and the Radio Demon suggests rather cheerfully, "oh, now that I think of it, there's someone missing from our little band of thieves tonight!" and he snaps his fingers and, there you are, suddenly appearing in a stool next to Alastor, already all gussied up as Husker looks upon you with a combination of pity, sympathy, and horror. So Al got you too, huh? Husker helps pour you a drink while Alastor starts chattering away about some random nonsense only Nifty is interested enough to listen to while you and Husk share mutual expressions of "if we could kill ourselves to get out of this--"

Part summary: Leigh heads off to Palm Springs with Danny, while you grapple with what to do about your feelings for her.

Masterlist | Part I Part II | Part III | Part IV | Part V | Part VI | Part VII
-
The morning after you gave Leigh a puppy for her birthday, your phone is flooded with texts from her, filled with questions ranging from vaccine schedules to the best chew toys. She shares a story about how Rogue, their previous dog, had always been Matt’s, and how she often felt left out of his care. Now, with Logan, she feels a full sense of ownership and is eager to get everything right.
You still flinch slightly whenever she mentions her late husband. It’s as if she forgets that you and Matt had something significant too, as if you weren't once the secret he kept close. Sometimes, you wish you could just erase his presence, simplify everything about your relationship with Leigh.
But you recognize that it’s selfish to wish him away, because Matt was a significant part of Leigh’s life, a major influence on who she has become. And who she is today is a lovely person—someone you've come to admire very deeply.
[6:20 AM] Leigh: Logan’s an angel, slept through the night.
[6:35 AM] Leigh: So, house training... how do I make sure Logan doesn’t turn my bed into his personal bathroom like he did five seconds ago?
You grimace at the message, picturing the hassle of laundering the sheets and possibly needing to call a cleaning service for the mattress.
[6:54 AM] Leigh: And shots? Rogue was all up to date because Matt was on it, but I’m clueless. Where do I start?
As you work your espresso machine, a grin spreads across your face, the kind that makes you feel like a complete fool but in the best possible way.
[6:56 AM] You: Good morning! You’re lucky I don’t bill for text consultations 😆
You typically charge $18 for a twenty-minute chat with a client.
[6:58 AM] Leigh: Oh. How much do I owe you? I want to pay.
Your smile falters a little at her missing your joke.
[6:58 AM] You: I was just kidding. Your texts are more than welcome, Leigh.
Feeling bold, you follow that up with something you've been wanting to make clear since last night.
[6:59 AM] You: This is what friends are for, right?
Waiting for Leigh’s reply feels like an eternity, and you're about to send another text to walk back your hint at friendship when your phone vibrates.
[7:00 AM] Leigh: I’d feel better paying. Can I drop by the clinic later?
Reading her message, you're hit with a rush—excited at the thought of seeing her, yet downhearted she's talking about paying, as if that's what's between you. But then, those little typing dots appear. You're practically holding your breath.
[7:00 AM] Leigh: We’re friends, which is why I’m paying.
It's a good thing you don't have a roommate, or else you'd never get away with grinning like an idiot at your phone. It's a bit ridiculous, you think, how high school this all feels—waiting for a glimpse, a moment, anything.
[7:01 AM] You: Absolutely, come by anytime. Looking forward to it 🙂
You hit send and lean back, trying to act like you didn't just have a mini celebration over a text.
And then, spurred by Leigh texting you first thing in the morning, you decide to add her on your social media accounts. You spend an extra fifteen minutes getting ready that morning, simply because you lingered longer in the shower, listening to songs that remind you of Leigh and how this crush is dangerously close to becoming something uncontainable.
-
[10:13 AM] Notification: Leigh accepted your friend request.
-
As it turns out, Leigh is a serial texter.
It’s odd, really. For someone who might come across as reclusive and somewhat untouchable, she is surprisingly talkative over text. The messages start coming in more frequently after this morning's exchange, just moments after you've finally left home to drive to your clinic. What's even more interesting is that this time, they're not about Logan.
And they’re all unusually random and unrelated to one another: memes that make you laugh out loud, articles on topics ranging from the philosophical implications of artificial intelligence to the best way to juicing recipes. You find yourself waiting for these messages, eager to see what tangent Leigh's mind has wandered off to now. You get into it, dissecting the articles she sends over with the seriousness of a scholar. You type back your thoughts, trying to sound as insightful as possible, maybe even a bit witty, hoping to impress her. You imagine this might be her way of initiating deeper, intellectual conversations between you two.
So, when you send back a paragraph or two analyzing the latest article she's shared, maybe touching on its impacts on modern society or offering a counterpoint to the author's thesis, Leigh's responses aren’t what you expect. Instead of engaging with the discussion, she sends a  simple thumbs-up emoji or, even more baffling, a random factoid about her day, like her opinion on the Kani salad from a sushi bar near the Beautiful Beast gym.
[12:15 PM] Leigh: [sent a photo] Just some store-bought crab sticks and diluted mayo. Don’t try it. Their saké though is 👌👌👌
You wonder why she’s having Japanese rice wine this early in the day.
[12:22 PM] You: Thanks for the heads up. I know a place for authentic Japanese food. You want to check it out with me some time?
Your text remains unseen for the rest of the afternoon.
-
You find yourself staring intently at the wall clock in your clinic, keenly aware of each minute slipping by, and with it, the dwindling chance of Leigh arriving before the doors lock for the day. As it nears 8 in the evening, Suzie is already wrapped up in her end-of-day tasks across the lobby. Leaning your cheek on your palm, you watch blankly as she meticulously arranges her desk, perfectly aligning each item, then moves on to gently pull the blinds closed on each window.
Suzie’s not blind. She throws you these knowing glances every time you let out one of your heavy sighs. Finally, after you've probably sighed loud enough to be heard next door, she stops what she's doing and plants herself in front of you.
“What’s going on?” she asks.
You try to look puzzled. “Nothing. Why?”
Suzie rolls her eyes. “Please, you’ve been mooning over that clock and sighing like you’re carrying the world on your shoulders. What’s up?”
You crack a smile, partly at her description, partly from being caught moping like a lovesick teenager. “It’s just… I thought maybe Leigh would come by. She said she would,” you say, wincing at yourself when the last part comes out a bit whiny.
Without missing a beat, Suzie pivots from her closing duties and makes her way over to you.
She’s not delicate with you this time. “You’re doing that thing again. Waiting around for something that’s probably not gonna happen. It’s not doing you any good.”
You know she's hitting the nail on the head, but it's tough to swallow.
Suzie continues, “You're young, you're attractive, and it's honestly weird that you're pining over your ex's ex. At first, I thought it was kind of adorable, in a bizarre, romantic-comedy kind of way. But now, it's like you're always hung up and disappointed.”
“Thanks for saying I’m young when I’m five years older than you,” you say with a sheepish smile, hiding your disappointment that she isn’t saying the things you want to hear, such as the possibility that Leigh just got busy.
Suzie shakes her head in disapproval. She's fed up, and her next words aren't going to be sugar-coated. “Snap out of it!” she barks, the command hitting you like a cold splash of water, and you jerk back in your chair, wide-eyed. Seeing you shrink back, quivering, she softens a bit and shifts back to the harmless receptionist you’re used to.
“Look at me, Y/N,” Suzie says, ensuring she has your full attention. You manage to meet her gaze, even though your eyelids feel heavy. “It's not fair to Leigh, either. You're giving meaning to everything she does—or doesn't do. It's putting her in an impossible situation. And honestly, it's not fair to you. You're missing out on your own life, waiting for someone who... well, who might never show up the way you want her to.”
Suzie knows she’s being tough, but sometimes love means being the friend who won’t let you settle for anything less than you deserve.
“I hear you, okay? It’s just… it’s the way I’m wired. I latch onto a person like a leech, refusing to let go until I see it through,” you mutter, shielding your face with your hands, a bit ashamed to even say it out loud. You get so tunnel-visioned, missing out on maybe better things and experiences because you're stuck on one track. You fall hard for your choices, never by chance.
“Good. You know what’s wrong with you,” Suzie says softly.
You let out a weak chuckle, the sound tinged with a bit of self-mockery. You're half-hidden behind your hands, peeking out at Suzie as if she's got all the answers. Suzie pries your fingers away from your face and then pinches your cheek so hard, you start to whine a bit.
“Ow! What was that for?” you protest, rubbing your assaulted cheek.
“That's for being a pathetic little bitch.”
“Excuse me, I'm still the one signing your paychecks,” you shoot back, trying to sound offended but it’s hard to keep a straight face.
“Sure thing, boss,” she laughs, and you join in.
“Okay, so what do you suggest I do then?” you ask as the last of your chuckles die down.
“Go on a date,” comes her swift response. “All that stuff they say about love finding you when you're not looking? Biggest lie ever.”
You look at her curiously, assessing her physical features. “W-With you?”
“Dude, no! Not with me!” Suzie exclaims, laughing nervously. “I mean, sure, I'd take you out if you weren't my boss, but I don't see that happening anytime soon unless you fire me.”
“Got it, got it,” you say, still chuckling. Suzie realizes too late that you were just teasing her and huffs. “Not with you. But seriously, go on a date? Just like that?”
“Yeah. Just meet someone.”
“You make it sound like it’s easy.”
“Because it is,” she says with a shrug. “Here. Give me your phone.”

Leigh doesn’t know what to do with the fact that you may or may not have feelings for her.
So, she does what she does best: Pretend.
Leigh pretends you’re not EspressoEyes. In her mind, it could just be a coincidence, and you might not be the person who wrote to her advice column. Without any concrete evidence, she holds onto this notion, using it as a shield to fend off the uncertainties and doubts that would follow if she believed otherwise.
Leigh pretends because she needs your help to figure out how to care for Logan. Because maybe she wants to be friends. When you join her for a run, you don’t press for conversation, a rare companion who's not afraid of silence. Having you around feels like having Matt around, in a way that she's reminded of him when you talk about the same things you like, the same books you've read, and the same music you listen to.
Leigh pretends it doesn’t bother her in case you are EspressoEyes. She’s no stranger to turning heads as she walks down the street, accustomed to the attention. There's a certain power in being desired, and Leigh revels in it. But the idea of you liking her doesn't quite make sense to her; it's like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. It’s not because you’re a woman—she’s been with women before. What Leigh can't wrap her head around is that you, of all people, could actually be into her. After all, she hasn’t exactly been her most charming self since you two met. Even her best friend is keeping a cautious distance. She’s been wearing down the people closest to her, those who are supposed to like her the most.
And this bewilderment doesn't sit well with Leigh. She is someone who thrives on understanding, on knowing where she stands with people and why. So, when pretending isn’t enough, she does what she does second-best: Avoid.
She must have been waiting in her car outside your clinic for the better part of the evening, debating with herself about what to do next. She's parked just out of view, positioned so she can see the clinic entrance without being too conspicuous. She hasn't eaten dinner yet, her stomach growling, but she remains glued to her spot across from where she knows you're waiting for her.
Ever since you subtly asked her out through text, she’s been on edge, second-guessing her actions (texting and sharing posts on the internet with you all morning, what was she thinking?) and wondering what they might have meant to you. Leigh didn’t mean to leave you hanging—she did come to your clinic, sort of. She remembers typing out a response to you, something witty and non-committal, but her finger hovered over the ‘send’ button before pulling back. It felt like too much, too soon. She needed time to think, to figure out why the idea of checking out authentic Japanese food with you left her feeling so conflicted inside.
Leigh's guilt gnaws at her as she sits there, wrestling with how to extricate herself without causing further confusion—or worse, hurt. Eventually, it all comes to a head. She finally gives in, typing out a message to you on her phone with a shaky urgency.
[7:53 PM] Leigh: I'm so sorry, something came up. I can't make it to the clinic after all.
Your reply comes quickly, much to her astonishment, especially since she hadn't opened your message all afternoon.
[7:54 PM] You: It's fine, don't worry about it. I can have Logan's supplies delivered to your place if that works better for you.
Reading your text, Leigh bites her lip, another surge of guilt washing over her. Your kindness, your willingness to accommodate her, only complicates this predicament further.
[7:54 PM] Leigh: Yes, that would be great, thank you.
[7:54 PM] Leigh: How much do I owe you?
As she starts nibbling at her cuticle, Leigh is eager to resolve at least the financial aspect of her obligation. Though she knows she owes you so much more than just Logan’s supplies.
[7:56 PM] You: Like I said, it's on the house. But just this time ☺️
It’s still too generous. But Leigh knows better than to argue further, concerned that insisting might hurt your feelings.
[7:56 PM] Leigh: Thank you. I won’t forget this.
[7:57 PM] You: 😊😊😊
Leigh sighs, remembering her promise that you could visit Logan anytime. She hopes you won’t take her up on that offer too soon, at least not until she has a chance to sort herself out.

Danny isn’t too bad once you get to know him. That's what Leigh learns after more than two months of dating him.
Initially, Leigh wasn't sure what to make of Danny. Their shared wit and sarcasm often put them at odds, like two alphas vying for the upper hand, each one not willing to back down, always aiming for the last word. Yet, in their calmer moments, when the competitive edge fades and they're just enjoying each other's company, Leigh finds something unexpectedly comforting about being with him. He has this confidence about himself that Matt never had, knowing exactly what he wants—and that's her. His straightforward approach makes everything about being with him feel predictable. And lately, she's starting to see predictability as a good thing, a sign of stability. This is a welcome change from the uncertainty that often left her anxious about the future. Plus, all these traits spill over into the bedroom, making the sex between them feel effortless and satisfying in a way she’s never experienced before.
Despite all this, there are days when Leigh finds herself merely tolerating Danny's affections. A part of her remains tightly locked, still bruised from losing Matt, and she's not sure if those doors should—or even can—open again. To compensate, she often says yes when she can, whenever her mood permits her to be giving and amenable.
And it is exactly why she says yes when Danny asks her to go to Palm Springs with him this weekend.
-
The getaway feels like an extended lazy morning where the concept of time blurs into insignificance. They drift from one hotel restaurant to another, luxuriating in the art of doing absolutely nothing. This routine isn't new to them; it’s the same one they slip into whether they’re at Danny’s apartment or Leigh’s place—only now, the scenery is different, and the sheets they tangle in are expensively soft, boasting a thread count far beyond anything either of them owns at home.
They're lounging by the pool, sipping Margaritas—Leigh with a book in hand and Danny absorbed in his phone—when your name comes up in conversation.
“So, how are things between you and Y/N?” Danny asks, not looking up from his phone.
Leigh stiffens slightly. She carefully moderates her tone, her face schooled into an expression of indifference as she marks her page and looks over at him. “What about me and Y/N?”
“I don't know... are you guys friends now?”
If Leigh weren’t so preoccupied with her own personal concerns about you, she might have recognized the underlying worry his question poses. What he's actually trying to figure out is whether you've come clean to Leigh about his role in Matt’s secret affair with you.
“Yeah, I guess we are,” she says. To say otherwise would be a lie, because you’ve been nothing but good to her. Danny seems satisfied with this answer, nodding before returning his attention to his phone.
“Why do you ask?”
“Just wondering,” he mumbles. He's back to mindless scrolling, but Leigh can sense the tension from two feet away.
“No, tell me,” Leigh insists, placing her book on the side table between them with a definitive thud. Danny mirrors her actions, setting his phone face down and turning to her with a seriousness that clashes with their otherwise relaxed afternoon.
“I just don't get why you'd be friends with Matt's mistress,” he blurts out suddenly.
Leigh is taken aback. They've never fully discussed what transpired between you and Matt, so she hadn't realized he was paying such close attention to her interactions with you. Believing that he wasn't privy to all the details, she quickly jumps to your defense.
“Y/N didn’t even know Matt was married to me,” she explains, trying to clarify the misunderstanding and protect your integrity.
“Yeah? And you just took her word for it?” Danny doesn’t bother to hide his skepticism, and it irks Leigh more than usual. She doesn't understand why every conversation with Danny has to turn into a challenge or an argument.
“There’s no evidence to suggest otherwise,” Leigh replies, her voice tightening as she struggles to keep her frustration in check. “I mean, I even went through your phone to see what Matt had been saying to you, and there was nothing there indicating that Y/N knew he was married.”
Danny feels a lump form in his throat. Fortunately for him, Matt hadn't mentioned anything in their texts about Danny being Nick either. He has been debating whether to disclose his role in everything to Leigh. But things between them have gotten serious, and Danny's not so sure he should come clean. Part of him wants to delay—perhaps until they are married with kids, when he's more certain that Leigh won't leave him over a past mistake.
“Look, I'm not saying don’t trust her, but... she used to be in love with Matt, right? You don't think there's a chance she resents you even a little?”
Leigh stops for a second, Danny's words prompting her to consider aspects she hadn't really thought about before. Wrapped up in her own insecurities, jealousy, and pain when she discovered the truth about you, she had never stopped to consider your perspective—how you might have felt learning that the man you had feelings for was married. Did you feel just as fooled and stung as she did? The thought bounces around her head for a moment. From what she can recall, nothing in your behavior has ever suggested that you're a bitter ex. But then, what if you're just exceptionally good at masking your feelings?
Do you really like her, or is it all an act—a scheme?
But then, she remembers the night you gave her Logan, how your smile was nothing but warm, your eyes bright with something that, looking back, Leigh realizes might have been admiration. Not even Danny looks at her like that, whose gaze is always bridling yearning and a desire to possess. Leigh shakes her head, almost laughing at the thought of Danny being right about you.
“Danny, honestly,” Leigh finally says, trying to put an end to the discussion, “if what you're saying is true, I can handle it myself.” It seems the quickest way to close this topic, knowing that debating it could easily consume their entire afternoon and completely derail the purpose of their vacation.
“But doesn't it hurt, having her around? Like a reminder that Matt went for someone else?” He's playing on a different fear now, not questioning your integrity, but poking at the scars Leigh's tried so hard to heal.
Leigh wants to admit the pain never went away. She’s merely learned to co-exist with it. It's like the weather for her: on some days, her mind is a landscape of clear skies, but when the storm hits, it's relentless. For now, she chooses to keep this pain private, unwilling to give anyone the leverage to use it against her or even attempt to fix her. It's her burden to bear, and hers alone.
“No,” Leigh answers, reaching for her book again. “I don’t see it that way anymore.”
Leigh ends her nearly year-long social media hiatus by posting a series of photos from her Palm Springs vacation with Danny. Sharing such personal moments publicly is uncharacteristic for her, especially given her minimal online presence over the past months. Maybe it felt like sending a message to everyone that she’s doing okay. That they can go back to seeing her as just Leigh again—a single, actively dating woman in her early thirties—not as the young widow she was in her late twenties.
Danny's friends are the first to swarm the comments. They tag Danny, peppering the feed with teasing remarks, their comments ranging from jokes about the desert heat to compliments on the couple's sun-drenched physique. It's all typical, light-hearted friend banter, until one comment sharply disrupts the mood:
“Yo, isn't that your brother's wife?”
Leigh deletes the comment within seconds of seeing it.
A few hours later, you ‘like’ her post. Leigh's eyes fix unblinkingly on the notification. She's been idly wondering if you'd seen the post, and now, you’ve confirmed it yourself. But what does that ‘like’ mean?
Is it a nod of approval, a silent indication that you're happy for her? Regardless of what it means, Leigh discovers she was sending another message—one that’s exclusively for you. It tells you that whether you're EspressoEyes, whether you harbor any feelings for her or not, it no longer matters.
She's with Danny now.
-
Returning from Palm Springs, Leigh feels different—like she’s turned a corner or something. She feels refreshed, and she wants to take on something, such as Drew’s grievances about her advice column. She picks one to start with, something about anniversary ideas, and she's got the perfect story for this.
It was one of those anniversaries with Matt, the kind that stands out from the rest of his surprises because it's so quintessentially him—albeit a little nerdy. He took her away from the city's glare to a secluded spot where the sky was a blanket of stars, untainted by artificial light. After laying out a rug for them to both settle on, he began the painstaking process of setting up a rather complex telescope. It took him nearly an hour, but the wait just made the moment even more special. With the telescope finally ready, Matt pulled out this old, crinkly constellation map and started hunting for one specific star. It was one of the last times Leigh remembered them being truly happy—deeply in love, free from the shadows of Matt’s depression, Leigh’s instinct to fix things, and the small lies that slowly eroded their relationship.
When he finally located it, he excitedly guided her to peer through the telescope. There it is—a tiny speck of light, but it's theirs. Matt turned to her with a bashful smile and revealed that he had 'bought' that star for her.
Leigh shares this story with her reader, emphasizing that it's about understanding what truly moves your partner. For her, it was that star—simple, unexpected, and insanely romantic. She tells her reader to find that one-of-a-kind thing, that personal touch that says “I love you” in a way that can only come from them. Just like Matt did with a star and a starry night.
It's only after she closes her laptop that Leigh realizes tears have been streaming down her face.
-
“We’ve got to stop meeting like this.”
It takes a moment to recognize who you've just bumped into. This encounter isn't as jarring as the last; it’s merely a brush of shoulders as you both maneuver to avoid incoming traffic. That ‘incoming traffic’ turns out to be none other than Leigh Shaw.
She's beaming up at you, and it looks genuine despite the sparse interactions since she last canceled on you. You’re still catching your breath, your heart racing from the speed of your run and something else entirely.
“At least I didn’t make you crash on the pavement this time. I'd say that’s significant progress,” you quip, drawing a soft laugh from Leigh. Last week, you made the firm decision to compartmentalize your feelings for Leigh, resolving to see her strictly as a friend. Yet, when faced with reality, such resolutions seem trivial, particularly when that reality includes Leigh smiling at you with her effortlessly charming grin—a smile that, despite your best efforts, still sends a familiar flutter through your stomach and makes your knees feel like they're made of something much less solid than bone.
“Speaking of progress, Logan’s due for his vaccines this week, right?” You remember the schedule clearly, not just because you’re good with dates, but because Logan has become somewhat of a shared responsibility between the two of you—or at least that’s how you still see it.
“Oh, right. I promise I'll swing by. No bailing this time,” she says, chuckling, but there’s a serious undertone that tells you she’s committed to making good on her word this time.
“You better not,” you tease, “Can’t have Logan missing his shots. He’s still very young, and it’s critical we build up his protection against—”
“I won’t, Doctor,” Leigh cuts in, giving you a playful salute that makes you blush. “So, where are you off to after this? I was actually about to grab some donuts for breakfast—”
Leigh pauses mid-sentence as a woman appears at your side. She’s stunning—slightly taller than Leigh, clad in a sports bra and tight yoga pants, with sneakers on her feet. An absolute goddess; even Leigh can’t resist a quick, appreciative glance.
“Who's this?” the woman asks with a British accent, adding the perfect touch to her 5-foot-7 frame.
“This is Leigh,” you introduce quickly, noting the surprise in Leigh's expression. “Leigh, this is Sara.”
“Lovely to meet you,” Sara says warmly, extending her hand. Leigh shakes it, though her movements are somewhat mechanical. “I’ve heard a lot about you.”
“Oh?” Leigh’s smile is strained. “Nice to meet you, too.”
You quickly steer the topic back to Leigh's breakfast plan, asking where the donut place is. “It's just down that street,” Leigh points vaguely, but then stops short. Almost as an afterthought, she adds, “Actually, I just remembered I've got to pick up something from the laundromat.”
You frown, thrown by her sudden change of tune. “Are you sure? We could grab a bite after the run.”
“No, really, I should get going. Maybe next time!” Leigh replies hastily, already stepping back, her exit swift and decisive. As she hurries away, you're left there, watching her leave, trying to figure out what flipped her mood from happy to wanting to escape so quickly.
“Shall we?” Sara nudges you gently, already jogging in place.
You give Sara a nod, but as you start running, you can't help but sneak one last look back. Leigh is quick to put distance between herself and the park. With a sigh, you turn your full attention back to Sara, who’s already picking up the pace, chatting about a new trail she wants to try next weekend.
“Let's go,” you mutter, mostly to yourself, as you push your legs to match her pace.
Meanwhile, Leigh walks briskly to a different restaurant, forsaking her initial craving for donuts. She can’t quite explain why she fabricated an errand; all she knows is that she needed to get away from you and Sara. Earlier, she couldn't help but notice how close Sara was standing to you, assessing you with a look that seemed a bit too interested. Leigh keeps turning over Sara's words in her mind, puzzling over what she meant by saying she'd heard a lot about her from you.
Why were you talking about her with Sara? Who exactly is Sara to you? Just a friend, or something more?
And what Leigh finds even more perplexing is why she's so troubled by needing to know the answers.

the acrid smell of smoke filled the small apartment, billowing up to the ceiling and swirling in an ominous dance. choso sat on the corner of the couch, playing with a switchblade in one hand while a cigarette dangled lazily from his lips. outside, the sky rumbled with thunder, and sheets of rain pounded against the glass panes as if pleading to be let inside.
the dim light cast shadows on the walls, making the atmosphere feel even more tense and foreboding. but choso remained unfazed, lost in his own thoughts as he absentmindedly flicked open and closed the blade in his hand.
the lit cigarette made a soft plop as it landed in the ornate, yet worn ashtray on the coffee table. it rolled around momentarily before coming to rest in a comfortable position. choso took a swig from his can of beer, lifting it to his lips and gulping down the cold, bitter liquid like a parched animal.
on the table in front of him lay scattered polaroids of you, your bright smile shining through the images. but in each one, there was also a man whose face had been scribbled out with a bold black permanent marker. you were always so beautiful, he thought to himself. why would you waste your time with someone who never even bothered to take you dancing, playing with your head?
choso gazed intently at the breathtaking backdrop of the spring season. the delicate cherry blossom trees adorned the landscape, their branches gracefully draping overhead like a string of luminous lanterns during the lunar year. the vibrant pink petals danced in the gentle breeze, filling the air with a sweet floral fragrance that intoxicated the senses.
as he observed this picturesque scene, choso couldn't help but wonder if this man you were so in love with was truly bringing joy and happiness into your life. did he ever make you cum? did he ever make you cry? he wasn't sure but, he was truly determined to change all of that for you.
those little wires in your mind were being sewn together, rubbed, and severed by the heat. you couldn't even begin to fathom how long choso could stare into your picture and wish that it was him instead of that parasite you call your crush.
choso knew he couldn't be angry. it wouldn't be fair for you. i guess it's different because you love him, he thought to himself as he took another swig of his beer, a thin trail of saliva stretching from his bottom lip to the metal of the can.
as the male drank, forcing himself to forget about you and how you were probably getting pounded into the mattress by someone who wasn't him, he decided to use his own sick and twisted imagination. his mind was always interactive, and his dreams were vivid and memorable. they always made him smile when you were in those dreams.
in a recent dream, choso found himself standing on your doorstep, his hot breath fanning over your forehead as he leaned in to lick the sweat from your skin. your fingers were tangled in his hair, gently tugging and guiding him closer. the air was thick with desire as leather jackets fell to the floor, forgotten in the heat of the moment.
as he reminisced about this dream, choso felt his hips bucking lightly against his fist, a low groan escaping his lips as he imagined it was your touch instead of his. he could almost feel your hand wrapped around him, slick with saliva as you teased and stroked him. or maybe it was your mouth, warm and wet as the pink muscle slid against his glossy tip, driving him wild with pleasure.
a chaotic mess of papers littered his room, each one filled with love letters, soulful song lyrics, and passionate poems - all written for you. he couldn't help but wonder if he would ever have the courage to send one to you or serenade you with a single sonnet. would you even appreciate them? he worried they would turn sour instantly, the words losing their potency once spoken aloud when he's only being honest.
his fingertips were stained with traces of his own release, a physical manifestation of the emotions and alcohol coursing through his veins. the weight of his head against the arm of the couch added to the sensation of being drunk, both from the liquor and his turbulent thoughts. his gaze rested on the landline phone hanging against the wall, its cord twisting like a snake in mid-air.
he leaned back against the arm of the couch, his head tilted upwards as if searching for answers in the ceiling above. the room was spinning around him, the only still object being the glowing numbers on the digital clock ticking away on the side table. you never called. and choso was starting to suspect that you don't intend to do anything you say at all. wasting your tongue with lame excuses and lies.
“fuck,” the curse slipped out between his gritted teeth as he glared at the relentless rain. it was like a physical manifestation of a third party that was blocking him from reaching you, his heart's desire. the sound of the downpour echoed in his ears, a constant reminder of his unrequited love for you as you remained locked away in your house, captivated by the shadows of clouds rather than the beauty of the falling rain or the sweet aroma it brought as it pattered against the asphalt, and it only added to his frustration.
choso berated himself for being foolish enough to fall for someone like you. but it was okay. even if he was sitting alone, watching from a distance as you dashed off with another man, he didn't mind remaining just your friend. just for a little bit longer. even if it meant having even a small place in your life.
as the rain continued its steady rhythm against the asphalt, he couldn't help but feel that it mirrored his own emotions - a constant and unyielding force that would never be satisfied.

now playing… late night talking - harry styles
It’s a normal thing for demigods to have constant nightmares. Every night, the same monsters or gods or prophecies kept haunting your dreams, never going away. You couldn’t remember the last time you had a night of peaceful sleep, much less a good dream.
But after the battle with Gaea, the nightmares only worsened, the loss of two of your closest friends and family never leaving your mind. And they couldn’t seem to haunt anyone else, just you.
Maybe because only you, amongst all of them, saw your brother’s death.
One time, at four in the morning, you woke up sweating and crying in your own bed sheets. It was once again with Leo’s death. He was once your best friend and closest brother, the type of close that’d tease and annoy you, but always be there, nonetheless.
You knew you couldn’t stay in your cabin, so you decided to go to the beach. It was the only place you knew the harpies wouldn’t go this late at night, so it was practically your only option. And it wasn’t a bad one. Definitely better than staying at the Hephaestus cabin or even going to bunker nine, remembering all the good memories you had made with Leo in eight short months that should’ve been longer.
You threw on a random hoodie that you had stolen from Percy’s cabin when he was missing, and you needed some sort of reassurance that maybe, maybe he was still alive. Now he was alive and well, probably sleeping in his cabin.
And you were here, moping around.
Two months before, you’d probably be moping with Jason, mourning the loss of a best friend and brother for the both of you. But now he was in a boarding school in California, unable to answer a call. Not that you’d call him, anyway.
While walking in the direction of the beach, your mind kept diverting towards the green-eyed, raven-haired boy. You’ve had a crush on Percy for a few years now. Four, to be more specific. I mean, who never had a crush on Percy freaking Jackson?
Not just hot, he was kind, brave, loyal, clever, strong, powerful, handsome... what else could anyone want, huh?
Even thinking about him never seemed to leave your mind. And it was definitely better than to think about Leo twenty-four seven and get even more trauma than what you already had with his death.
Even knowing that Percy was a water dude, it was still wildly surprising to find him taking a swim in the middle of the night at Camp Half-Blood's beach. He was right there, lying on the sand after a swim, being bathed by the first sunrays, his orange tee clinging to his wet body.
He looked angelic, even godly. Anything, but definitely not human. He was too handsome for this world.
You obviously assumed he was asleep, so you just kept staring at his face. It may have been a little creepy if he wasn’t your best friend who always did that with you too, so you just ignored and mentally mapped all the freckles on his cheeks, hoping beyond hope that someday you’d kiss every and each one of them.
“You know it’s creepy when someone just watches you when you sleep, right?” Percy asked, his usual smug and cocky grin quickly making his way to his lips as he didn’t even bother to open an eye.
You obviously couldn’t help but smirk back at the boy, laughing and kicking him playfully on the thigh.
“Oh, shut up, Jackson. You do that to me every time you barge into my cabin. Stupid psycho.” You said jokingly while sitting beside him on the sand.
“You hurt my feelings.” He said with a wide smile as he sat and pulled you in for a hug. A hug which you desperately tried to squirm away from, since he was dripping wet, soaking your shirt as well.
After a few minutes of a heated battle, that he won with his ticklish cheating, you were soaked in the sea water without even getting into the sea itself and Percy was holding back his giggles.
Infuriating, sure. Still cute, though.
His laugh was just too pretty. The way he threw his head back just made you want to kiss the hell out of him, but you knew that wasn’t possible. Ruining your eldest friendship was an unnecessary risk to take.
“You’re infuriating” You mumbled, rolling your eyes.
“Maybe. But I'm hot, so it’s a win-win in my book.” He said, looking at you with his puppy eyes, which made you chuckle and look at the dawn sky.
The color mixing together in a pink, orange and black haze with the remaining stars in the sky were your second favorite view in the world. It just lost to Percy.
If you looked at him right now, you would notice how he was staring at you. You'd probably blush and smile at his intense, never faltering gaze. His sea-green eyes seemed to never leave your face, and one could even say he seemed enamored by you. But you wouldn’t let yourself think that and have false hopes and expectations. You could only hope that maybe, one day, he’d feel the same for you that you felt for him.
“What brought you here in the middle of the night?” He asked a few moments later. When you looked at him, he seemed worried. It was definitely not usual for you to come to the beach at four in the morning, so he was kind of right in worrying so much.
“I... had a nightmare. Couldn't really sleep after that.” You said, shrugging it off.
“About?” He asked, raising one eyebrow in curiosity.
“Leo. Leo's death, actually.” You answered.
He just hummed in agreement and understanding. Obviously, he’d understand what you were talking about, since he experienced dozens of deaths of close friends, same as you did.
“Wanna try and talk about it?” He asked, tilting his head slightly to the side.
“Not really.” You said for what it seemed like the tenth time in just a day.
It's not that you were trying to hide your pain. Well, you were indeed trying to hide it but that’s off the point. I mean, it wouldn’t go great if he knew what was really going on in your head, especially when a few of those things were thoughts of him and you making out till you were both breathless and panting.
“You know, you couldn’t have avoided his suicide. Trust me. Hazel and Frank tried, and it didn’t work out.” He said, trying to reassure you as he moved a little closer to you, your shoulders touching slightly.
“Yeah, maybe. But they didn’t know him. Maybe he’d- maybe he’d listen to me, okay? I just- It's just too painful.” You said, already feeling the tears flowing to your eyes. His death was a sensitive topic that never failed to bring you to tears.
“I know, beautiful, but he did it because he knew he’d save the world.” He said, scooting closer to you and pulling you to his chest. “If it weren’t for Leo, we would still be in a gigantic war, and we’d have so much more losses, darling. Leo is a hero. He'll always be remembered as one.”
“I wanted him here, not his memories.” You mumbled, letting the tears fall freely from your eyes straight into his strong arms.
“Yeah, I know. I know it’s hard, and the pain’s gonna take a long while to go away. But it eventually will.” He reassured, kissing your cheek. “And while it doesn’t, I'm gonna be here by your side whenever you need. Even if you don’t need, I'm still here.”
“I love you.” You murmured under your breath before you could even stop it. He kissed your forehead softly.
“I love you too, y/n/n.” He whispered. But it seemed like only fraternal, or friends love. That's more than what you want, and you’re gonna tell him. He deserves to know. Maybe it’ll ruin your friendship, but you just can’t keep this bottled up.
“No, Percy.” You said, sniffing and sitting back, looking at his green eyes with your own puffy ones. “I love you. Like, lovelove.”
He looked... startled, to say the least. He blinked a few times, trying to make sense of your words. You were starting to regret ever saying anything to him. Maybe now he’s gonna hate you and never talk to you again, then the whole trauma of Leo’s death would now be together with Percy leaving, and you were gonna get even more fucked up than you already are, and-
Or maybe he’d just kiss you and completely interrupt your entire trail of thought and your whole mind with his salty, sea-like kisses and chapped lips that fit so perfectly with yours.
His hand found your waist, holding it while his tongue entered your mouth deliciously well. It was literally a dream come true.
Finally, you two were completely out of breath and he pulled away, smiling and keeping your foreheads touching.
“I think I love you too.” He answered before pulling you in for another kiss.

First Kiss
Tumblr media
Warnings: None / sorry for any mistakes I'm too lazy to proofread it currently
Words: 1.3k
Reading Time: 5min 20 sec
A/N
I've had this in my drafts fo sooo long now it's unbelievable. But I'm done now so yeyyy!! Hope you enjoy it
Love you guys, Magdi
To celebrate Barça's win and Pablo's reappearance at the stadium today, Pedri invited the whole team to a get-together at his house after the game. And like every time Pablo got invited somewhere, he asked you to come with him as his plus one.
You were always Pablo's plus one at any event, it didn't matter if it was a fancy gala or a simple team dinner, you were always by his side, and you never really gave it much thought.
"Y/N, hurry up!" Pablo screamed from downstairs. You had to drive to Pedri's house as Pablo still wasn't allowed to, which meant he had been waiting for the last 30 minutes for you to get ready.
"Jesus Christ! I'm comming, ok!" Adding the last bit of shimmer to your eyes, you make your way downstairs, completely missing the way Pablo's eyes nearly pop out as he sees you.
You see. Pablo has been trying to muster up the courage to ask you out for about a year now, but every time he comes close to telling you, he chickens out. Because the last thing he wants is for a lifelong friendship to end just because of an immature crush.
So, for the last year, all of your friends had to painfully watch how you two would pin after each other. Then, contrary to Pablo's belief, you weren't any better than him. The slight difference between you is that your crush has been going on since you were twelve.
You managed to hide your feelings pretty well, or so you thought. The truth was everybody knew you liked Pablo except himself. Which was pretty confusing for everybody as you were "Looking at him with heart eyes," in Aurora's words.
Anyways, back to now. After some slight arguing over what music you should play, you finally drove off. The car ride was silent, not an uncomfortable kind of silence, more a comforting kind. You were both recharging your social batteries again before meeting his teammates.
Something you and Pablo have in common is not being the most talkative on the planet, you two prefer to be affectionate rather than talk someone's ear off.
*Timeskip cause I'm lazyy*
After arriving, Fermín dragged Pablo away, wanting to talk about "football stuff". You didn't mind it, knowing Pablo missed his teammates terribly, so you let him be, getting yourself something to drink and sitting down next to Pedri, who greeted you with a big smile.
"Y/n! It's so good to see you! How are you doing?"
You fell into a relaxed conversation with Pedri about his season, how his brother is doing and many other things. You were finishing your fourth drink when Pedri bid his goodbye to find Ferran, you gave him a lazy smile and said bye.
You start to feel the alcohol in your system and decide to look for Pablo. You haven't seen him since you arrived, and that was 3 hours ago. With a slight sway in your walk, you make your way around the house, trying to find him.
You nearly gave up, wanting to call him instead, you saw him outside, sitting on a lounge chair with Fermín deep in conversation. Carefully opening the door, you step out, sneaking up behind Pablo to scare him.
"Hey guys!"
"Ahh ... Dios Y/N!"
Pablo nearly falls out of his seat, screaming like a little girl. Fermín still sits in his chair, holding one hand to his chest, looking at you with a shocked face. You, on the other hand, nearly fall over laughing, holding onto the wall beside you.
"Oh my god! Y-you guys should have seen your faces, hahah!"
Sitting up again, Pablo looks at you with furrowed eyebrows, grumbling something under his breath. "Sometimes I wonder why I'm friends with you."
Fermín starts to laugh when he sees your shocked expression. "Excuse me! I'm awesome!"
Pablo raises his eyebrows at you and says nothing, his expression already tells you enough.
You cuddle yourself next to Pablo on the lounge chair and throw your legs on Pablo's lap. Almost naturally, his hands find your legs and start to stroke them.
You two completely miss how Fermín watches the whole scene with a knowing smile, too engrossed in each other to notice anything.
------
It was currently half past twelve at night, and at some point, the topic of the conversation changed to first kisses.
You now know that Fermín had his first kiss under the bleachers of their old training grounds as children. You laughed at him for the next ten minutes, asking if it could be even more cliché.
"Okok, stop laughing. Was your first kiss any better?" You heard Fermín ask between your giggles.
"How should I now. I never had one." You just blurted out casually.
"What!!" Both men screamed in unison.
You were startled by their sudden exclamation nearly falling back with your chair.
"Dios mio, what's wrong with you two?!"
Fermín was the first one to find his voice again, "So you're telling me that you never kissed anybody in your entire life? Like ever?"
Taking a sip of your beer, you answer, "Jep, never."
Both men now look at you like they've seen a ghost, mouth hanging wide open, eyes staring into your soul.
"Guys it's no big deal really, calm down." You couldn't contain your laughter any longer as you kept looking into their faces, they looked absolutely ridiculous.
After a few minutes they calmed down again and the conversation flowed easily, well you and Fermín talked, Pablo kept quiet the whole time looking like he was lost in his own world.
-----
After some time, Fermín left, mumbling something about being way too cold. You didn't pay him much attention your focus shifted to Pablo a long time ago.
After Fermín left, there was silence between you and Pablo, not an uncomfortable one, more a comforting and calm one.
"Is it true that you've never been kissed?" Pablo breaks the silence.
"Yes, you idiot, why would I lie about something like this?" You laugh at his question.
"I don't know, the tequila scrambeled my brain."
Giggling, you throw your legs over his and make yourself more comfortable.
"You know, I've always imaged you would be my first kiss."
You were talking so quietly Pablo thought he heard you wrong, but he realised quickly what you said and looked at you with a gaze you couldn't read.
"Why did you never tell me?"
"Well, what did you want me to say? Hi Pablo, nobody ever kissed me. And I know we have known each other since we were 5 but would you want to? Yeah right."
"I would have ..."
Looking up from your lap, you see his brown teddy bear eyes looking at you.
"Wha-"
"I would have kissed you."
His tone and his expression told you he meant what he said. You didn't know if it was the alcohol or something else, but a wave of confidence hit you, which led you to ask him, "Would you also kiss me now?"
Pablo said nothing but started to lean in, grabbing your chin with his hand and making you look into his eyes.
"I would love to." He whispered before leaning in, softly connecting his lips with yours.
The feeling of Pablo's soft lips against yours was addicting. You never wanted it to stop, ever again.
Sadly, the lack of air in your lungs made you two pull away from each other, taking a deep breath while gazing into each other's eyes.
"And, was that ok for your first kiss?"
"Ok, it was magical!" You exclaimed, linking your hands behind his neck.
"That's good because I was not planning to stop at one kiss. Is that ok with you?"
A blush made its way onto your cheeks as you heard him say that, nodding you hide your burning cheeks in the crook of his neck.
"Yeah, I'd really like that."
"Good, then come here."

Tumblr media
Being at a kook party was not your idea of fun, but they had free booze and it was better than a keggar. After the last week you’ve had, you have every intention of getting plastered and trying to forget your crush and best friend was dating someone else.
JJ your best friend since you were 4 and crush since you were 14, was officially dating Kie. And it hurt, a lot. You knew it was coming, saw the writing on the wall, but held out hope it wouldn’t. The only person who knew about the crush, that you knew of, was John B. He was your brother from another mother, and knew you inside and out. You three had been friends so long, you don’t remember a time when they weren’t there. John B has given you hug and told you he was sorry the day you saw them kissing through the Chateau window. He informed you they were dating and you had gone home and cried yourself to sleep. Avoiding them this past week, but couldn’t get around it for this party.
You had watched them dance, laugh, and make out, and were completely ready to vomit. Or wait, was they alcohol? I was in my 3rd concoction of the night and was not feeling much of anything. Well physically anyway.
Anyway, you were in the kitchen getting another drink, when you heard the last voice, you wanted to here.
“Well, well if it isn’t Miss Sunshine” Rafe Cameron sneered as he walked into the kitchen.
“Fuck off, Cameron” I told him, trying not to say more and start something.
“Anyone ever told you have a venomous mouth, Sunshine” he laughed.
“Only to you, Cameron. Everyone else thinks I am adorable and sweet” my voice dripping with sarcasm.
“I bet you taste sweet” he chuckled. I turned around and caught him looking me up and down. He showed no shame for being caught. “What’s got you drowning in booze tonight? Wouldn’t have anything to do with Maybank and Carrera doing the horizontal mambo, would it?”
“You’re such an asshole, Cameron” You go to walk past him and he grabs your upper arm and pulls close to him.
“Most girls that talk to me the way you do get punished” he leered, inches from my face.
So, side note, when I drink, I think I am ten feet tall and bulletproof. And tonight was no exception.
“Let go of me you fucking psycho!” I hissed at him, pulling my arm. Unfortunately, he was so much stronger than me, my arm barely moved in his grasp. “I swear to God Rafe, I am not in the mood for your bullshit tonight.”
“Don’t call me psycho and I think I need to teach you some manners.” he growled right before he grabbed the back of my neck and pulled me in to kiss him.
I instantly started pushing on him and struggling to get free. I bit his lip and he howled in pain and jerked back. I slapped him across the face, not caring this was Rafe Cameron, Kook Prince himself, and no one ever told him no.
He snapped his head back and I looked in his eyes. They were completely black, no amount of blue left, and had a predatory look that actually caused a little fear to creep up my spine. Something else, God help me, arousal shot through to my core and made me soak my panties.
I started to back away and with each step I took back, he took forward.
“Rafe just fucking walk away, leave me alone” I try to sound defiant and flippant, but not sure I pulled it off. His grin was pure evil, reminding me of every Disney villain I ever watched.
*Oh Sunshine, you really shouldn’t have done that” he smirked. I turn to run and get one of the pogues, but he grabs me by my waist and turns me around to throw me over his shoulder.
“You psychotic motherfucker, put me down!” I yell as I punch his back as hard as I can. He just grunts and slaps my ass hard, bringing tears to my eyes and more arousal to leak out of me. My mind was telling me to fight because you hate him, but my body was yelling at me to let him have his way.
He takes you to some room, locks the door, and proceeds to throw you on the bed. He immediately grabs both your wrists and roughly jerks them above your head, causing you to arch your back from the roughness and your tits rub against his chest. The lace bra you wear offered little protection from the friction and instantly your nipples hardened. Rafe chuckles as his free hand rubs over my breasts and pinches my nipples.
“You may not want this, but your body does” he chuckles as his hand slides down over my stomach and to the waistband of my shorts. I continue to struggle, he slaps my bare thigh, causing me to gasp. I know if I looked down right now, there would be a red hand print.
“You’re a feisty thing, maybe we should get you a little more pliant.” He threatens.
I see him reach in the pocket of his shorts, but don’t see anything in his hand when he pulls it out.
“Rafe, what the fuck are you doing?” I demand trying to keep the worry out of my voice.
“Just a little something to make you enjoy it more.” He smirks as he places a pill on his tongue and grabs my jaw to look at him.
“Open up, Sunshine” he murmurs as leans in to kiss me.
I try to shut my mouth, but the hold he has on my jaw won’t let me. He shoves his tongue in my mouth and I feel the pill begin to dissolve as he devours my mouth. God he is a good kisser, I can’t stop myself as I whine in the kiss, causing him to moan. He held my jaw until the pill was fully dissolved, then he lets go, but we continued to kiss. Fuck, what was I doing, this was Rafe, I should be biting his fucking tongue off, yet I didn’t want the kiss to stop. He finally pulls away when air became a necessity.
“What the fuck did you give me, Rafe?” I pant, still trying to catch my breath from the kiss.
“Aww Sunshine, it’s just a little E to make you forget your troubles and help me fuck you without the feistiness.” He smiles down at me. I start to struggle again and hurt him in some fashion. His hold on my wrists and him between my legs really left me defenseless, and he knew it.
“Now let’s get rid of these clothes.” He grabs the neckline of my shirt and rips it down the middle. I screech from shock, and he continues ripping till it is off me.
“Oh Sunshine, you have some beautiful tits.” He groans as he leans down and latches his lips on one of my nipples. I gasp out from pleasure as he sucks, nibbles and licks my nipples through my bra. Thousands of jolts of delight ripple through my body to my core. I began to feel a zing of energy and mixing that with pleasure, I couldn’t stop myself from grinding my hips up into Rafe.
“That’s it baby, let the drug begin to work. Let me make you feel good and forget Maybank for tonight.” He murmurs as he continues his assault on my tits, his mouth on one and his hand, pulling and pinching the other.
“More” I whimper to him, trying to get more friction. He reached behind me undoing my bra and let go of my wrists, I moved my arms so he can get off. My hands fly into his hair to push more into my chest. He grinds down on me and I groan, I feel the heat build in my stomach.
I have a slight moment of clarity, where I thought what the fuck am I doing, when Rafe rolls his hips and the tip of cock hits the seam in my shorts just right to rub my clit and I see stars. I moan out as I squeeze my eyes shut and let my orgasm wash over me.
“Fuck Sunshine, when was the last time you came?” he chuckles, reaching down to unbutton my shorts and take them off. He stands up, using the opportunity of me in a blissful state, to rid himself of his clothes. I look over to him and see his cock saluting me. My eyes wide at how big he was.
“Shit Rafe, I don’t know what you plan to do with that monstrosity, but it ain’t fitting in me.” I say in wonder.
“I’ll make it fit,” he said as he spread my legs and slapped my pussy. I yelped, still sensitive from my release, but it caused a wildfire to spread through my veins. He slapped it a few more times, rendering me a whiny mess. I tried to hide my face, ashamed at how he was making me feel. I knew the E was mainly to blame, but a part of me knew it wasn’t all the drugs.
“Oh, don’t be shy now” Rafe taunted as he pulled my hands from face and roughly kissing me.
Distracted by his kiss, I didn’t notice he lined his cock up to enter me. He shoved it in my soaked pussy and I screamed in his mouth. The pain and burn from his stretching without prep was almost unbearable. Instantly, tears formed in my eyes and I pulled my mouth free.
“FUCK!” I cried out “Rafe, get out, pull out, it hurts so bad!” I cry but he continues to snap his hips into me, even though I was pushing on his stomach.
“Shut the fuck up and take it.” He growled as he grabbed my arm and jerked it above my head, slamming into me faster. I was whimpering, crying mess underneath him. He continued to pound into me, hitting my cervix, lips taking what they wanted from my lips down to my breasts.
“I’ll have you forgetting Maybank after tonight and you’ll only want my cock in this pussy. You’re mine now, Sunshine” he rasped in my ear.
“I hate you” I hissed at him.
Eventually the pain began to be replaced by pleasure, my cries turning into moans as I felt my core heat up and the band began to tighten.
“You keep saying that, but your body doesn’t,” he taunted “you might be venomous, nonchalant, and a raging bitch to the rest of the world, but all you needed was a Daddy to tame that mouth and this pussy. Didn’t you?”
I ignored him, not wanting to agree with him. Suddenly I heard and then felt the smack across my face. I let out a shocked yelp and grabbed face with my free hand. My body betrayed and a rush of arousal coated his cock.
“Oh, you like being slapped huh? When I ask you a question, you answer it, slut” he hissed at me.
“Yes Daddy” I moaned out, before slapping my hand over my mouth, not believing what I just said.
“That’s my good little slut” he teased.
He let go of my hand and reached down with both hands to push my thighs into my chest. I cried out as the new position hit my G-spot and I saw stars. Within seconds, the band snapped in my stomach and I was screaming daddy repeatedly.
“That’s it, you little cunt, cum all over my cock.” He grunted before pulling out and flipping me over on my stomach. He straddled my thighs, pulled my butt up, and shoved himself back into me. I moaned as the new position let him hit deeper. I grabbed the headboard needing to ground myself, as the drugs and orgasm made me feel like I was floating away.
He wrapped his arm around my neck, putting me in a chokehold, snapping his hips into me at such an ungodly pace. I could already feel another release coming. The drugs had all my senses turned up to an eleven, the burning in my stomach, the tingling in my core, the pleasurable pain every time he hit my cervix. I felt that if I had another orgasm, I would fly off into outer space.
“S’too much, daddy” I whine, trying to push on his stomach. “I can’t do it”
He slapped my hand away and smacked my thigh hard, making me cry out.
“You will take everything I give you. You’re my little cum slut now and you will obey me” he grunted. He grabs my arm and jerks them around behind my back, grabbing both wrists with one hand. With his other hand, he grabs hair and uses both as leverage to fuck me harder.
All you could hear in the room were my ‘uh-uhs’ and our skin slapping together. I was close as my walls begin to flutter around his cock, but he was too as I felt his hips stutter.
“You better cum before me or you’re outta luck,” he panted. “We’re not here for your pleasure, only mine.” He taunts as he speeds up getting closer to his release.
I manage to wrestle one of my hands free and reach down to rub my clit. The added stimulation almost instantly makes me fall over the edge, I scream out and clamp down on Rafe’s dick. My body convulses as I have the strongest release of my life, but the E in my system causes me to keep cumming tears falling down my cheeks as I can’t stop.
“Jesus Fuck” Rafe gasps, “You’re clenching so tight I can barely move.”
He forces his cock in and out of me as he pants and grunts. Slamming into me one more time, I feel his seed shoot out against my walls.
“fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck” he hisses. He slowly thrust back into me a few times before pulling out and flip me over. I was essentially a rag doll by this point.
“Oops can’t have any Daddy’s juices spilling out can we?” he smirks, shoving two fingers in me pushing his cum back in me. I whimpered and grabbed his wrist.
“Stop, too sensitive” I whimper out.
“Stop being a whiny slut” he sneers before slapping my pussy a few times. I cry out, tears running down my cheeks. He reaches for his phone and takes a picture of me.
“What the fuck” I snap.
“I need something to jerk off to when you’re not around”
He shows me the picture. I look royally fucked out, mascara and tears running down my cheeks, lipstick smeared all over my face, bruises and hickeys around my neck and chest. He grabs my phone and tosses it to me.
“Unlock it” he demands.
I do without any argument. He puts his number on and sends himself a text, so that he has my number.
“When I call, I expect you to answer and come to me” he demands coldly. “If you don’t, then the whole island will know your just my cum slut and enjoy it. I have evidence.” he grins.
I nod, knowing he had me, because the thought of the pogues, especially JJ finding out made me sick to my stomach. He tossed my shorts and some tshirt he found to me.
“Now you’re gonna get dressed, go back to the party and act like nothing happened. Your hickeys were from some random touran.” He instructed. “The whole time you pine over JJ, my cum will be seeping out of your cunt. Oh, and clean your face up.”
I move slowly getting off the bed. I get dressed and head to the en suite bathroom. I look at myself in the mirror and start to cry. I splash water on my face, cleaning myself up, the whole-time sobbing.
Rafe comes in the bathroom and stares at me for a minute. I turn to face him and he smacks me on the cheek, not hard enough to bruise, but enough to sting and leave his handprint.
“Stop crying like a cunt,” he mocked me, “You enjoyed it, I think I counted three orgasms from you?”
“It was the drugs” I argue.
“Sure, sure. The explain why you were soaked before I gave you the E?” he asked.
I’m looked away cause I had no answer, at least not one I was willing to admit.
“S’what I thought,” he smirked “Now get downstairs, before I change my mind and take you home, tie you up, and use you all night.”
I ran out of the bedroom and went downstairs, looking for my friends.
Walking around, I finally found John B and Sarah making out in a corner. Pope was in another room trying to woo a girl with coroner talk, the poor girl looked scared for her life. The last room I walked into, JJ and Kie were on a couch, Kie in JJ’s lap making out. My friends, wait no family, didn’t seem to have missed me.
I walked into the kitchen and made me a drink and walked outside to one of the patio chairs. My phone dinged with a message.
Remember our deal and no one finds out. Although with as worried as they were for you, not sure they would seem to care.
I downed my drink and got up to get another one, tears running down my cheeks.
How the fuck did I get in this situation and what was I gonna do. All knew was I hated Rafe Cameron and I would find a way out.

So for the ficlet build your own prompt thing could you maybe do “Should I kiss it better?”, someone who cares, hurt/comfort, and instrument?? (Btw love all your stuff, you’re such a talented writer ❤️)
Aw, that made me blush, thank you so much.
I did a little missing scene thing for your prompt - this would be after Eddie moves in but before these two dumbasses first kiss. Hope you like it. 🥰

Dusk is falling as Steve steps out of the elevator. His shoulders are sore from the office chairs, his eyes itching from staring at screens all day, and his head is feeling like someone is digging its way out through his eye socket with a pickaxe. He’s tired and weirdly on edge at the same time.
When he tries to unlock the door, he drops his keys.
“Fuck!” he snaps, then winces. It isn’t like himself, getting this angry at petty inconveniences like that. Then again, it isn’t really the keys he’s angry about. It’s his father and his stupid company and endless board meetings. Himself for being such a fucking pushover, for playing along in this farce.
Taking a deep breath, he wills himself to calm down. His head still wails in protest as he crouches to retrieve the keys.
The foyer is dark and silent, but a keg of light is filtering in from the living room.
Dustin is on the sofa in his pajamas, hands fiddling with something in his lap - Eddie’s guitar. When he hears him approach, he looks up, mouth tugging into an unamused scowl that Steve knows looks a lot like his own.
“Hey, Dad. You’re late.”
“I know,” he grouses, collapsing on the opposite end of the sofa. “Shouldn’t you be in bed?”
Dustin pouts. “I wanted to stay up. Haven’t seen you all day.”
Steve, who was just drawing a breath to argue, snaps his mouth shut. Because the kid's right. He left before Dustin was awake and he’s only returned now, way past his bedtime.
What kind of dad is he?
The sound of something going twang startles him from his stupor.
“Ow,” Dustin yelps. “Shit!”
“Language,” Steve says, at the same time that another voice floats over from the kitchen.
“Jesus, I step out for five minutes and this is what you do?”
Eddie spares Steve a lazy wave, sliding into the spot next to Dustin to assess the damage. Like it's perfectly natural. Like they belong together. His son. The man he's in love with.
“You'll be fine,” Eddie mutters, voice fond. “No real damage done.”
Dustin scoffs, cradling his finger. “Still hurts.”
“I meant the guitar, dipshit.”
Dustin gapes at him. “You're such an ass. I'm injured here!”
“Aw,” Eddie coos, making grabby hands at the finger. “Should I kiss it better?”
Dustin balks.
“You're gross, I'm going to bed! Night, Dad!”
“Love you, too,” Eddie calls after him. “Remember to brush your teeth. Floss, too.”
He watches Dustin stomp off, dark eyes brimming with affection, and Steve’s heart flutters in his chest. Only to drop right out of his body when those eyes shift over to him.
“Rough day?”
“No,” Steve says automatically. Eddie raises an eyebrow, gaze sweeping over his rumpled form. Steve feels himself flush and rubs at his prickling neck. “Yeah, I guess. Just one of those- ow, fuck.”
His muscles scream at the touch and a jolt of pain zaps all the way from his shoulders to his skull. Eddie’s worried face shifts into a slow grin. He raises his hands, fingers wiggling invitingly.
Steve knows he shouldn’t. He’s promised himself to keep his distance, to not give in to his desires. He’s lucky to have Eddie here at all, and the last thing he wants to do is scare him away by doing something stupid. He’d never forgive himself.
But his self-control is a feeble thing, and it’s wearing thinner with each day.
“Okay,” he breathes, shifting his position and loosening his tie.
There’s a hum from behind him, and a shuffling sound, and then the warmth of another body blankets him from behind and deft fingers find the knots in his shoulders. It’s heaven and hell all at once, the sting of his muscles relaxing under Eddie’s touch, the feeling of having Eddie close. The knowledge that all he’d need to do is turn around and reach out and pull him in. Never let him go again.
“Sorry about the guitar,” he says, more to distract himself. “He needs to learn to be more careful with other peoples’ shiiit.”
“‘s okay,” Eddie murmurs, skillfully ignoring Steve’s pained hiss. “He was pretty grouchy about you being late, it was a welcome distraction.”
The familiar guilt settles heavy in Steve’s abdomen and he lets out an involuntary sigh. “Yeah. Sorry about that, too.”
“Don’t be.” Eddie shrugs, the motion pulling them a little bit closer together. “That kid loves the shit out of you. You’re a fantastic dad.”
Steve huffs weakly. “I’m a tired dad with one hell of a headache, that’s what I am.”
“Hm,” Eddie hums, and leans in. His breath is a warm tickle against the shell of Steve’s ear, lips almost touching skin, but not quite. “Y’know, that offer applies to you, too. I can always kiss it better.”
Steve’s breath hitches in his throat.
“Eddie!” Dustin hollers from the bathroom. “Where’s the stupid floss? I can’t find anything with your stuff in here!”
Steve has shot up from the sofa and is halfway across the room before he even processes it.
“I got it,” he blurts. “You stay put, you’ve done enough.”
“Fine,” Eddie quips, and Steve imagines there’s an ever-so-slight undercurrent of disappointment in his voice. “But after, you’re coming back and we’re putting on that stupid show you like. You need to relax, Stevie.”
There's a whole lot of things he needs to do, Steve thinks. Get a hold of himself. Tell his dad to fuck off. Tackle Eddie into the sofa and kiss him senseless, or at least talk about this thing that's crackling in the air between them like electricity.
Some day, he might.
But not today.
Today, he'll lie on the sofa and watch tv with Eddie’s feet in his lap and be thankful to have this mesmerizing man in his life - warm and close and so, so tempting, but not his.
For today, this'll have to be enough.

Donut Hole - Chapter 20
Silhouette
The fire I began is burning me alive But I know better than to leave and let it die
I'm a silhouette asking every now and then "Is it over yet? Will I ever feel again?" I'm a silhouette chasing rainbows on my own But the more I try to move on, the more I feel alone So I watch the summer stars to lead me home - Silhouette, Owl City
[(deep breath) been a while huh :') A ton of stuff has happened in my life that really hindered my writing; being moved to full time, my dad having a stroke (he's recovering with no permanent damage) and my PC breaking. But here's a new chapter!! Where Dawn gets involved, and Barry learns of some very crucial things…] [ao3 link]
Dawn chose to hide away in her home, not wanting to leave Jubilife but unable to stand hearing the curious whispers of the townfolk. She tried to keep herself busy; cleaning her space, organizing her things, checking in on her pokemon…
But nothing could keep her mind away from her friend in the medical wing for long.
She lay in bed, her pokemon lounging around the home, reflecting their trainer’s sullen demeanor.
Her Samurott, Riptide, lay by her side and allowed her to nervously pet and pull on her whiskers.
“I wonder…what they did with his Pokemon.” She wondered aloud.
The woman who helped run the pastures was nice enough, but Dawn doubted she could care for Barry’s team. No, they were most likely with Laventon.
Barry was a good trainer. He treated his pokemon back home with love and care, verging into ‘spoiling’ territory, Dawn might dare say. Honey for his heracross, sugar cubes for his rapidash, mangoes and fruits for his Torterra.
His new team…they were strange. Scruffy, dirty, thin looking. Barry wouldn’t willingly let his team look like that. What had they been subjected to in the wilds of Hisui? With no Galaxy Team, no Laventon to find him on a beach-
Her thoughts drifted to Barry himself.
Scruffy. Dirty. Thin. Deeply upsetting. Like a childhood toy nearly torn to shreds, hanging on by bits of thread and stuffing.
Riptide let out an unhappy chitter, Dawn realizing she had been tugging on her whiskers a bit too hard for her liking. “Sorry.”
Her mind wandered elsewhere. Somewhere less sad. Somewhere angry.
Why hadn’t anyone come to her when Barry arrived? Surely someone had to have made the connection; a strange boy her age with outlandish clothes and a gift for training pokemon?
Why did they let him suffer in the cold and the damp and the dark?
If a single person had told her - not even her, if someone had told anyone in Jubilife - then Barry wouldn’t be in the medical wing. He wouldn’t be so thin and dirty and hurt.
She replayed Adaman’s words in her mind. “Because we weren’t totally sure. And I didn’t want to raise your hopes in case it wasn’t.”
And the worst part is…Adaman was right. If they had come to her with a description of Barry, and it wasn’t Barry? She’d be crushed.
Luckily for her mental state, she didn’t have to think about this for long. There was a knock at the door, followed by Rei’s voice, “Dawn? Are you in there?”
Dawn stood to get the door. She had learned not to let her pokemon answer the door anymore, not since her Kadabra answered the door for her once, and then rumors swirled around town about how she had turned into a Kadabra.
She hoped she didn’t look too disheveled when answering the door. It had been a very long day.
Either it wasn’t too obvious, or Rei decided not to comment on it.
“Uhm, the leaders left not too long ago…” he started to say, rocking back and forth on his heels. “I dunno what they said to Kamado, but it was loud. On both ends. But it seemed to have worked, I don't think the commander plans on practicing his fighting moves tonight…”
“Okay.” Replied Dawn, unable to really muster any excitement in her voice. Sure, it was nice that Kamado wasn't going to start suplexing people, but that certainly wasn't on her mind.
“Well, now that things have calmed down, uh, Miss Pesselle says you can come visit your friend. He's not doing so well right now, but she thinks he'll be alright-”
“REALLY?!” She struggled keeping her voice low. “Why didn't you start with that?! Let's go!”
--
Consciousness was proving to be rather fickle and fleeting. Barry felt himself drift in and out, like the waves on a beach. Awake, not awake. Awake, not awake. Drifting at sea, below the waves.
And being awake sucked.
Every part of his body ached. Even parts that he didn't know could ache. He couldn't even scrounge up the willpower to open his eyes. Sounds were muffled, distant, unfamiliar.
So he would just lay there…aching.
It wasn't all bad. He could sense the presence of someone nearby tending to him, and even if it hurt when they had to change bandages, he knew it was probably a good thing. Cups and bowls were gently pressed to his lips, and even though it tasted distinctly medicinal, he really didn’t care.
And sometimes, when the ache and the pain grew too much, he could feel a warm hand slip into his own and squeeze.
It was comforting. He wasn’t alone. Someone was there with him through it all, here to hold his hand when it hurt.
And Barry would try to smile and squeeze back before drifting, drifting, drifting…
He wasn’t sure how long he spent drifting. Hours, maybe. Days, weeks.
Until one day, he finally opened his eyes.
Barry was in a bed he didn't recognize and a room he didn't know. Things were kinda blurry, and fuzzy, and his head hurt, but it was something.
Breaching the surface of the water for the first time in a while, it seemed.
He hesitantly squeezed the hand holding his own and glanced over to his side.
“... Barry?”
Dawn looked tired. He wondered, numbly, if she had left his side at all.
But she was here. Alive and well and not just a terrible gap in his memory. She had the same eyes, the same face, the same tired smile that she'd give him when he'd do something stupid-
“D-Dawnie.” He croaked, dry lips cracking into a beaming smile. “I did something stupid again.”
“That's OK, dummy. We can talk more about that later.” She gave his hand a squeeze. “How are you feeling?”
He groaned, trying to think of an accurate description. “Numb. Aching. Like a piece of gum left to dry on the boardwalk in Sunyshore.”
Dawn giggled, a beautiful sound that he had grown to miss so, so much. Barry couldn't help but weakly chuckle alongside her.
“Pesselle said it's a miracle you're alive. She said you had a foot in the grave, and a shovel in your hands.” She looked at him, tears welling in her eyes. “I-I was…I was so scared…w-wh…what if you didn't wake up?”
She let go of his hand, trying to wipe away the tears as she began to weep.
“Hey, hey-” he sat up slightly, ignoring the aches and pain, “It's alright! I-I’m fine now! I'm not going anywhere.” A serious look crossed his face. “No one's gonna try and stop me.”
“Th-there was drapion venom in your blood. Pesselle said i-it was a miracle you kept your leg.” She continued to whisper. “You won't be able to walk for…I dunno how long.”
“I've been walking on it for a while! It'll be fine!”
“I think that's part of the problem.”
Dawn gestured for him to lay back down, to which Barry ignored. “I couldn't stop and rest, I was on the run! It's crazy, just listen to-”
He paused. A strange look came across his face, and he grabbed Dawn's hands and held them tight. “I need you to tell me something. Something that only you would know.”
“Barry-?”
“Please. Please. Something only you would know. Please.”
Sadness overtook her features, not directed at him, thankfully, but she clearly felt bad for him, and wanted to soothe his worries.
“When you were little, you wanted to have a big birthday party with a big cake. And you invited the entire class. Your dad asked Elite 4 member Lucian, to borrow his Mr Mime for entertainment. And…uhm. When Mr Mime walked out with your birthday cake, you were so scared that you started crying, and you even-”
“NO! DAWN THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT?!”
“What did you mean then??”
“I dunno! Something deeply personal and special to us??”
“Well you didn't specify! What about the time you got your Halloween costume based on heracross and you asked me to hit you with a branch to ‘prove how strong' you were?”
“No, that's not what I meant either! I'm starting to think you're doing this on purpose! Do you need me to fine you?!”
Dawn couldn't help but laugh. When was the last time she had been threatened with fines? She couldn't remember. It felt good, familiar.
For a moment, the medical room walls melted away. They were back home, camping, just teasing each other after a long day of training.
“Do you remember the time you poured yourself a glass of vinegar at a buffet because you thought it was soda, and you nearly barfed-”
“You are! You are doing this on purpose!!” Barry shouted back. “Two can play that game, missy! Don't think I've forgotten about the time our class started singing happy birthday and you were so surprised you started crying!”
“Hey!” She squealed in fake offense. “I did not!”
“Did too!”
“OK, OK, let's stop with the yelling.” Dawn said, pressing him back against the pillows of his bed. “Not sure we want Pesselle to come yell at us-”
“No no, wait, wait, hold on-” a frightened, almost desperate tone crept into his voice. “I know it's you. There's no way. I can trust you.”
“Of course you can trust me?”
“This place is crawling with Team Galactic!” He hissed, “Absolutely swarming! They tried to stop me from finding you, I think they're the reason you're here! They kidnapped you!”
Dawn opened her mouth, but no words came out. She just let Barry continue.
“I haven't seen Cyrus yet, but I've seen Mars and new commanders and Galactic Generals, and they're hellbent on capturing me! This is a universe where Cyrus won, don't you see? There's no civilization, people and pokemon don't trust each other-!” A moment of panic overtook his features, and he frantically looked around. “My pokemon, where are my-”
Dawn grabbed his shoulders. “Barry. Barry.”
“Huh? What, what?”
She took a deep breath. “That's…not right. That's not what's going on.”
Barry also took a breath. “OK. I'm listening. Tell me what's going on, I'll believe you.”
Dawn hesitated. “It's a bit crazy…”
“The last few months have been nothing but crazy for me. Whatever you say, I promise.”
“I think…we're in the past.”
He gave her an incredulous look. “...when I said I'd believe you-”
“Barry!”
“It's just a little hard to believe!”
“Oh, but your theory of being kidnapped by an alternate dimension Cyrus is more plausible?”
Barry tried to think of a retort, but couldn't. He crossed his arms over his chest. “Touche. What's your evidence?”
“Do you remember the history class we took about the late edo period?”
“Yeah, I failed that one.”
Dawn reached into her bag currently on the floor and pulled out a pokeball. “See how it looks rough? These are carved by hand, using apricorns. Surely you remember the pokeball lesson.”
That clicked in his mind. Before the modern manufacturing of Pokeballs was established, people would carve out their own using apricorns. Some could even make special ones with unique traits, but the skill and craft was a dying art.
“I thought…I thought they were poorly made…” he said slowly, softly. Barry shook his head, “That doesn't entirely prove it. If this was a world where Cyrus won, obviously Silph Co wouldn't exist.”
Dawn then gestured to the room around them, which Barry finally began taking note of.
There were no medical devices, not really. Mostly beds, blankets, pillows, panels to give some semblance of privacy, and a sleeping croagunk in the corner.
It did look a little old fashioned, like visiting the Old Chateau, or the homes in Celestic town. The way the wood was carved, the way the paint looked…
“Look at the clothes they gave me!” She continued, taking off a red scarf to show him. “Not fake fabric at all, this is real!”
All of the little inconsistencies, all of the assumptions based on a worst-case scenario. The pain he went through. The pain he caused. It was all starting to climb up his throat.
“Dawn. I don't feel so good.”
“What? Why? Should I go get the doctor? Her name is Pesselle, she's really nice-”
He grabbed her arm as she stood to leave. “I think…I did a lot more stupid stuff than I realized…”
Dawn had an inkling that his time in Hisui was less than pleasant. But the sheepish anxiety in his voice worried her.
“What…did you do?”
The door behind them creaked open. Dawn turned, relieved to see Pesselle carrying fresh bandages. “Ah, good! The two of you are awake. The captain wanted to see him.”
The relief quickly faded when Pesselle stepped to the side and Captain Cyllene entered the room.
And Barry started to scream.

Why do I love you?
How to choose? Take a deep breath, close your eyes, open them and then choose the image that drawn your attention
Tumblr media
1 2 3
Before to start, sorry for any mistakes or grammar error. English is not my first language
Remember tarot is not set on stone and you can change your path whenever you want. This is for entertainment purposes
This reading is general so if it doesn't resonate with you just let it go
Pile 1
Hey! Do I really have to give you reasons to understand how much you mean to me? Every conversation we have, from the deepest to the stupidest, through those silences that have never been uncomfortable between us. You keep me grounded, we've been through so much together. Every part of you is beautiful. I know that sometimes you doubt yourself, your body, even your luck, but I love you because despite everything you have lived and you are still here, and you're still fighting. We can do anything as long as we're together, forget those who let you down, forget those who betrayed you, forget all that, because now I'm here for you. Please let me know more about you, please let me help you. Don't be afraid, I do value all the effort you have made to be here, to stay here. I love you, because in spite of all the secrets, all the problems, all the things you've never said, you're still kind, considerate, still smiling and you keep bringing happiness to others.
I want to be with you, to give you my hand, to do crazy things together, I want you to believe in yourself again, and be in the process. I love you because you are my moonlight. Don't let your thoughts destroy you, we'll find our way, we two we'll fight all the monsters and dragons that torment you
I think this pile have a special connection with the moon
Talking to the moon by Bruno Mars
Maybe it's a friend, your crush, or someone who doesn't talk to you anymore or who you lost touch with because of distance. It can also be a spiritual guide. Anyway, it seems to be someone who misses you so much and talk to the moon about you
⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆
Pile 2
I like spending time with you. I love you for all the witticisms you can have, for how free you seem to be, because in you I find a place to call home. I love you simply because that's what I came here for, to spend time with you, to love you, to take care of you, to help you, to fight together. You are a part of me, my fears, my insecurities, the difficult moments. The times you have seen me sad or crying, all those times you have been there for me, make me grateful for how lucky I am. Everything we've been through has only helped strengthen our relationship. I love you because you understand me even with my mood swings, because you could have left, but you've never done it. I want to have you always by my side, like my treasure. I know that you are always there for me, to advise me, to make me laugh, to go out, to forget everything, but I want you to know that I also want to be your shoulder on which you can rest, you are my hope, and I want you to find it in me too. I know you've been busy, but could we go out? Let's forget the worries even for a day, okay?
This connection feels like an old movie, like autumn season, or even like the last day of school
Indie rock music
Imperfect for you by Ariana Grande
It could be a friend, lover or relative

Pile 3
Why do I love you? Easy. You arrived just in time to reach out to me. Maybe I haven't told you this, but before you, I was afraid that no one would really love me, I asked so much for your arrival, I think I manifested you. I know that sometimes I can be absent, that it may seem like I don't care about anything or anyone, but you're the only exception. I love you because you have made me believe in destiny, because if it weren't for you, I don't know where I would be. You are my family, the person who calms me down when my fears seem to win. Remember that I'm there for you, even if sometimes I can't even handle my problems. I love you because you don't judge me, because my problems seem lighter when I'm with you. You make me feel strong. I love you because you take care of me, because you care about me, because I was lost until you found me.
It seems to be someone who is struggling with depression or someone who doesn't know how to externalize their emotions
It's a relief for them to have you
Pop music, maybe social gatherings?
I think it's someone who looks up to you. It may be younger than you or older, but you play the role of "mom" because of how you care about that person

He wanted to wring your ex's neck for what he did to you, but he knew better to waste time on trash. Beating someone up wasn't what you needed at the moment. What you needed was a shoulder to cry on and an ear to listen to your ranting, and Megumi would certainly be the one to provide all of that.
Still, even as you kept ranting about your ex and catching him in the act, it just made Megumi want to hurt him that much more, yet he fought the urge. Instead, he slid an arm around you and pulled you closer against his side. "You don't need him, anyway," he told you. The man held back a scoff when you mentioned not being able to find someone better. "You will. Anyone is better than that guy. We both know that."
Truth be told, Megumi never liked your ex. Why would he? Not only did he cheat on you, but the guy always made you cry. How could he ever like anyone that made his best friend cry? His blood boiled at the thought as his jaw clenched slightly, though he quickly calmed himself. "I want to egg his car," you mumbled.
Megumi's lips curled into a small smile. "Egg his car? I think we could do better than that. We could fill it with bees," he suggested. You giggle but immediately shook your head. "It wouldn't kill him, but it would hurt. He deserves it, you know."
"Yeah, but then he'd know who put the bees in his car."
"Not if you have an alibi," Megumi said. He was hellbent on doing something to your ex, but he knew you had to agree on the idea. "Could always use the jolly rancher method instead."
You chuckled and shook your head at the idea. "I feel like that would go horribly wrong for some reason."
"Oh, it will, for him," Megumi replied. You chuckled again, the sound pleasing to his ears. He missed hearing it. While you tossed out different ideas on how to get back at your cheating ex, he simply watched you, admiring you.
He had always felt wrong about loving you like he did, but he couldn't help it. Megumi had feelings for you, which anyone with eyes could see, but he always kept them buried down inside. Especially when you got a boyfriend. It was much harder keeping his feeling at bay then, but now that your ex was gone, he could let them out a little.
"What do you think, Megs?" You asked, your voice pulling him from his thoughts. "Good idea, right?"
He hadn't heard a single word you said, having lost himself in his own little thoughts about you, but he nodded. "Yeah, it's a good idea." His heart fluttered a little when you grinned and hugged his side, which only caused him to tighten his arm around you. "I love you," he whispered.
Megumi didn't mean to let it slip, but the moment was too good and pure to not let that thought loose. "You what?" You questioned.
"I love you," he repeated. Since the cat was out of the bag, Megumi felt just a little more confident with his confession. "I always have." His words were met by silence, and only then did he start to panic a little. What if he messed up? What if you didn't feel the same? What if you hated him for saying that?
"I love you, too, Megs," you smiled. Your words reassured him, and he mimicked your smile, only smaller. "I guess I've been denying it all these years."
Megumi hummed softly in response and nodded. "Well, you don't have to anymore." Maybe it was wrong since you were in such a vulnerable state, but he couldn't hold his feelings in long enough. Not while he had you in his arms like this. "I know I should've waited until you were better to tell, but it just slipped out."
"It's fine," you told him, burying your face into his side a little. His eyes softened and he let his fingers trace small circles against your arm. "I know you'd never hurt me."
That was the biggest difference between him and your ex. Your ex could cheat on you and make you cry without batting an eye. Megumi, on the other hand, would rather die than hurt you in any sort of way. It wasn't how he was brought up. That and he would get an earful from his sister if he ever did.
Megumi would be lying if he said he wasn't upset about the entire ordeal with your ex, but if not, then he never would have been able to tell you how he felt. Sure, he hated seeing you cry over someone as pathetic as your ex, but he enjoyed getting to be the one you came to, the one whose shoulder you cried on and, finally, the one he would love forever.

A gentle breeze of crisp, chilled air caressed your numb, neglected cheek as you lay sleepily in bed, while a shiver broke the comfort of your slumber. The savory aroma of breakfast wafted your nose, emanating from the yellow, cracked light filtering in through your doorway. You hummed groggily fluttering your weary eyes open, peaking at your frost-bitten window still exposed from last night. Painting the windowsills in small powdered flakes and the room in a somber blue.
Now broken from the bliss of your sleep, you slowly sat up in the messy bed cluttered with hangers and out-of-place sheets. Your eyes scanned over your hoarded room over the brief weeks of your stay. Before they met the obnoxious neon red of your alarm clock.
“6:30 am”
Confusion furrowed your brows seeing as the lights below were on, accompanied by a faint shimmer of bacon aroma and the soft murmur of the homeowners. "It's early," you thought to yourself, considering the situation. Your aunt worked from home, and her wife didn't depart for work until 8 am. Then again…it must have been another futile attempt to drag you from your bed. You couldn't blame them though…the women never had children but even they were smart enough to know that your wallowing wasn't the healthiest…Much to their luck, the trick was a small success being that your stomach grumbled in frustration with the lack of dinner you had yesterday.
With a soft sigh, you threw your legs over the edge of the bed dragging your weight up lazily to your static tingling ankles. Walking yourself sluggishly to the bathroom for relief before brushing your teeth. Staring blankly into the mirror…no more bruised cheek…lip still a bit cut but could have been discarded as just dry skin. You brush the small nick feeling your heart sink again…
Was it...wrong to miss your mother…? Though you have shamed her with your sins…Enough…she wouldn't even spare you her gaze now…Be grateful someone even fucking took you in…
After your short spiral, you splashed water half-heartedly on your face, attempting to quell the tumult within before venturing out of your room, craving tranquility. Bare feet gliding gently over the cold wood floor, your fingertips skimming the glossy railing of the stairs as you descended. Where you were met with the faint reasoning of their early ruckus.
"I just think it's early... I mean, it's only been two weeks," your aunt murmured softly, as she rested her head on her palm, the other hand cradling a mug of black coffee. Her wife, her counterpart, disagreed. "Then what? Do we let her stay locked up in her room...until she finally takes action to end her misery?" Rachel huffed softly as she flipped bacon. "You're being dramatic," Aubery replied, her concern and annoyance evident. "And so are you," the blonde hummed, finally turning off the stove. "Look... maybe she's not doing that bad, but her moping around all week, not going out, isn't good either," she added. Aubrey nibbled softly at her lips, unsure how to navigate their choices. "...I suppose you're right," she whispered, prompting a small smile from her wife. "Come on... it's not like we're taking care of a little girl. She was in college before she came here. She shouldn’t let her years go to waste..”
Your heart weighed feeling anxiety run back through your nerves considering the thought of even returning to your studies….meeting new people…replacing Hannah…. A small scowl crept onto your soft lips as you continued down the stairs, causing the older woman to glance over. "Look who's up!" Rachel beamed, but her cheer only served to deepen your annoyance. Did you dislike her? No, that wasn't fair to consider. She was a nice woman, intelligent too, but undeniably pushy. You offered a noncommittal hum in response, withholding any hint of amusement. After grumbling a soft "Morning," you took a seat at the table. Your aunt immediately sensed your displeasure, her expression softening as she took another weary swig of her coffee. She's trying... don't be a brat... you mentally scolded yourself.
“I’m guessing you heard our conversation?” Aubrey muttered gently, while you childishly petty, shrug biting your lip. “A little…” You murmur shifting uncomfortablyas if you were psychically fighting your mental turmoil. Before you could dwell further, you were interrupted by a hearty plate of food placed before you, accompanied by a gentle smile from Rachel as she settled beside her lover. "Rachel works on a campus nearby...we've already submitted a few things for you, even drafted a letter—" Aubrey began, her voice trailing off as Rachel interjected."We think it'd be good for you to get back into the swing of things," Rachel announced, her hand resting protectively over Aubrey's. "Especially since your aunt worked really hard to get your records from your mother, and we took you in, and—"
"I'll go," you huffed bitterly, exhaustion evident in your tone. The couple's eyes widened in surprise as you began to scarf down eggs and bacon, hoping to avoid a confrontation about your reluctance to leave your bed. "Really?" Rachel chirped, disbelief coloring her tone. With a full mouth and a small glare, you nodded, and Rachel's smile widened, her hands clasping together as if she had received a reward. "That's great! I'll inform the council and arrange for a tour tomorrow!" Forcing you to choke slightly in fear. "Tomorrow?"
"Of course! The campus is small, and not many students live around here anyway. It'll be just fine!" Rachel reassured you with unwavering enthusiasm swiftly finishing her breakfast before standing up from the table. Just as your appetite had dawned on you, it now quickly disappeared with your hearty bite along with the forced news. Your aunt's smile weakened seeing your anxiety before her gaze flickered back to her wife rushing around to leave for work ending with a gentle peck on the lips.
Your stomach clenched at the tender scene before you, a mix of disgust and a faint trace of envy stirring deep within. It felt peculiar witnessing such displays when they used to be mere rumors of who embraced sin, and tangled with Satan. But it was rather opposite, horribly sweet…striking up a new contradiction. This was no evil. Perhaps you were simply annoyed you lost who you cherished? Though when she was there, you cried in pure hatred for your identity…your truth….and that question still lingered: would you ever come to accept it? Or would it haunt you like a lone bird chirping in the misty mornings? Regardless, you pushed it aside, fingers tracing the familiar contours of your cross. A feeble wall of resentment towards your own wants.
The soft click of the front door closing snapped you back to reality as Aubrey approached, noticing your struggle to eat. "... wanna talk?" she offered, her eyes filled with understanding, to which you shook your head sighing softly. “S’..only gonna make it worse…”
“Why do you think that?” she probed, concern etched in her voice. Your body tensed, opting for silence, prompting her to sigh. "...I know this is tough, but you deserve better. Your mother had no right-"
“I don't want to talk about my mother-” You interrupted firmly. There was an awkward silence between you two, and you could tell she was itching to spill horrible things about your mother, about your faith…But she knew it wasn't something you could forget so easily..she couldn't either. “I just….want you safe…and healthy….I’ve never been good would kids…but…I want to get to know you even if it's selfish to say…I’m glad I have this chance…” She confessed toying with her coffee mug anxious for your response.
Your gaze softened, laden with guilt. Despite your reluctance to accept her care, her selflessness pierced through. And all you could manage was a sad smile and a hesitant response.“…I’m…sorry I’m just….I don’t know…” Though even if it was just a short stammer, a brief summary of thousands of words you could say, Aubrey still took into consideration mostly happy you “opened up.”
“N-no no! It’s fine…I just…want you to know that I care…that Rachel cares…even if you don’t like it…we just want to push you to be better..” She muttered gently letting her knuckles gently brush your cheek and straight your fringed bangs. “If it were up to me I would’ve let you rest longer but…maybe Rachel is right, maybe you can handle a little action?” She questioned unsure how to prompt this news as something…exciting….fun even. “I guess…I mean…I can…I can handle it…” you remark rubbing your clothed thighs tempting to soothe your nerves. Aubrey smiled softly in return giving an affirmed nod before standing from the table. “Well…we should get started on shopping then”
“Shopping….?”

There is another layer that comes with identity, which is appearance. A factor that has always blown over your head back in the South. Besides, the sun was constantly overbearing you were lucky if the day ended with your makeup still presentable. Nonetheless, you were quick to remind yourself this wasn’t Arizona. Especially when you had to borrow your aunt's coats and snow boots. Or when you had to scrounge up the single pair of jeans you brought with you…that’s when you finally grasped a goodbye to simple shorts and graphic tees.
Because you now were another hour deep in shopping with your aunt because of your own…lack of “pizzazz” or whatever nice way boring she could describe you as. Not that it bothered you; you had little interest in being bold or making an effort to stand out. The only time you felt compelled to care about your appearance was around Hannah, a fact that often left you feeling embarrassed. You bland was your nature, like black and white uniforms in grade school. It's not like there was room to explore skimpy fashion under your mother's roof even if you cared to venture. Just simple faded tees and jeans, along with a few cotton dresses for sermons.
But this? This was a jungle, a horde of junk untamed by staff and another unnecessary stress besides getting back to your studies. You would have been fine with another pair of blue jeans and a sweater but thrifting? Maybe your aunt really was out of the ordinary. Being that she was leading you around the store stuffing random fabrics into your weighed arms. She seemed excited even…you felt horrible to be such a blank face. But what could you do? Creativity wasn't really your thing…maybe logical…pessimistic…an eye sore?
Fortunately, your compliance paid off, and the older woman relented, allowing you to escape the burden of the mountain of clothing you were carrying. As she led you to the checkout, you were greeted by a slender, artsy chick with a short, neat bob, blue puppy liner accentuating her eyes, along with a detailed sleeve adorning her right arm. Her furrowed brows and dark pupils expressed disbelief as she looked at you and your purchases. But then again with the way you dress who would believe it…
Her pin read “Cat.”
Well, I don't like your fucking attitude cat…Wait that's mean…Don't be mean…Jesus I’d look at me crazy too…your mind rambled, and unfortunately, the silence only seemed to invite your aunt's chirping. "You look young! Did you just start working here?" Great, small talk. It's not that your aunt was annoying you, but you could already feel your body cringing. And "Cat" didn't seem amused either, appearing more sassy than before.
Great….small talk.
It's not that your aunt was annoying you but, you could already feel your body cringing."Yep," she hummed dryly. "You in college?" Aubrey prodded, eliciting a sigh from you as you desperately sought an escape from the dreaded small talk."Yeah?" The cashier responded indifferently, scanning the jeans and stating the price without a trace of humor. You clumsily searched your wallet, only to find $70.00 instead of the required $78.30. Guilt flooded over you as you stood there with insufficient funds, but Aubrey intervened, laughing as she pushed your hand aside.
Your heart raced as you over the small spill, longing to flee. Cat's eyes met yours, a mix of curiosity and irritation evident. "Really? Huh... don’t get why she'd come here... this place is a ghost town. Honestly, I'm only here for my girlfriend." Your mind quipped about Cat's sudden verbosity, yearning for the solace of your bed. "Well... have a good day, I suppose... newbie," she said, sliding the paper bags towards you as you hastily snatched them and made a swift exit from the quaint shop.

Despite yesterday’s news, the return to student life had nearly slipped your mind—until Rachel burst in, jolting you from slumber. "What are you doing?! It's almost 8:00! Come on!" She pleaded as nicely as she could, shaking your groggy shoulders. Another morning hijacked as if your commitment to the women had vanished. But as long as you remained under their roof, escape was out of reach until graduation. It’s not that you hated academics, or wanting to learn and become someone. It’s the atmosphere you hated, and college was no better than high school. Without the drug-like presence of Hannah, you already knew this day…week…months so on…were gonna be a goddamn shit show.
Enough with the morning moping; you were already running late. Hastily, you threw yourself out of bed and navigated through the cluttered room, rummaging through the bag of clothes you'd purchased the day prior. Furrowing your brows in confusion, you struggled to decipher what your aunt had selected for you. By the end of it, you found yourself simply matching color tones, uncertain of what truly went with each other. Finally going with a simple pair of dark jeans and a navy blue baby doll top. Accompanied by a lacey white tank top underneath so you wouldn’t suffer even more freezing breezes. Finished off with simple makeup and your sliver cross necklace shamefully tucked under the fabric resting on your heart. Grabbing your book bag your head zipped over to the door seeing Aubrey dressed up more than usual…she looked nice…but still quite as worried as usual. “You ready? Rachel’s getting antsy.”
“Yep.” You replied with a small nervous huff slinging on a black puffer coat and a fluffy pair of boots trailing downstairs.

“Your grades are quite remarkable…I’d say we are lucky to have you on campus..” The elderly lady spoke kindly going through your transfer records. While you shyly twiddled your thumbs bouncing your leg rapidly like a mere kindergartener. “She is, isn’t she?! Just a little quiet.” Rachel huffed proudly with a smile caressing your shoulder. It made you question if the woman ever lacked optimism, considering the fact she barely knew you.
"Well, silence allows for deeper contemplation and learning... and reflection on one's surroundings. Perhaps you should consider philosophy, as we don't offer religious studies," the Chancellor suggested, delivering another blow to your faith, which troubled you after your recent betrayal."I suppose..." you murmured fearfully, your eyes averting as you nibbled on your bottom lip. Your observant aunt quickly interjected, "What about cheerleading? It's on her schedule, right? I used to see photos and such, and she's really talented, I know it..."
The chancellor's gaze softened slightly hearing Aubrey's soft plea. Her aged fingertips moving to take off the gold-rimmed glasses she wore before setting them aside. “First….I just…want to say how sorry I am for your situation. It's incredibly sorrowful.” She confessed forcing you to tilt your chin up to meet her gaze. As if this day couldn't have gone worse, the reminder made your eyes gloss. “S’ fine…” Was all you could muster before silent forcing yourself not to cry. “But…While we do offer cheerleading seasons are short, because summers are short. Just like our football team getting into the sport is extremely hard given how many students signed up at the beginning of the year…and you unfortunately arrive at a time when admissions have been long closed.”
How fucking fantastic.
“-But!” the woman went on her thin lips tugging into a gentle smile. “We have a great girls' hockey team! They even offer tons of scholarships and are very happy to take in newcomers, since the campus is quite small and well…hockey isn't necessarily a girl's dream sport…” she huffed jokingly.
No shit…
“Oh, that would be great! A new sport! Something to keep the blood going! new experiences! Come on you should do it” Rachel cheered clasping her hands together. “But..I don’t know a thing about hockey..” you countered worriedly. “I’m sure they’d teach you…and it’d probably be nice to have a new face in there…” Aubrey added with a soft smile your graze whipping to her in betrayal. “Finical aid…trips out of state few parties here and there it wouldn’t be…horrible.” The Chancellor hummed with a small carelessly shrug causing you to huff in disbelief. Because of course, they weren’t the ones in your seat, it didn’t matter to them but it seemed so fucking passive-aggressive. “I-I don’t know…”
“Come on…” Your aunt whispered gently. “….don’t you want something….new?” She questioned. Trigging a pause in you…maybe she was right….or maybe you could join and get the shit beaten out of you….but….maybe….just maybe…
You could forget Arizona.
“I’ll do it.”

The campus was indeed as small as locals said, your first day made up of a few morning classes. “Filled” with a reflective 12-15 students and possibly a few others had they shown up. The hallways exuded a suffocating quietness, yet somehow managed to instill a gentle calmness in your nerves. Your previous campus, though small, was marred by constant noise and unbearable overcrowding. The outdated facilities barely functioned, not to mention the presence of obnoxious students. Perhaps this new environment offered an escape—a serene beauty that you initially scoffed at, tainted by the bitter memories entrenched in your beloved home in the warmth and embrace of the South.
You even had time to venture during your few hours between afternoon classes and morning ones since you were running up and down the field doing flips. You…had time. You had a moment to take in your new reality without the audience of your aunt and her…preppy lover. You had a small dorm, a bit chilled and gloomy but it was yours. Along with an old cafe near a retro record shop that you had yet to see. You were curious for once in your life. You didn’t know your way around and you didn’t know the name of every shop in town.
You escaped Arizona…but you yearned for the comfort of familiarity.
Thankfully, your burdened thoughts began to lift as you made your way to a dimly lit chapel just down the street from campus. Opting for a seat in the back to evade the small crowd of worshippers, you attempted to focus on the sermon. But, your concentration faltered, and your heart sank at the sight of a large cross proudly displayed on a central beam. A feeling of suffocation washed over you, compelling you to confess, to unload your guilt and shame before God. To feel comfort in the chapel once more. But Just as you were rising to head towards the confession booths...
Your phone buzzed.
“Hockey 2:00 pm”

Your shoulders tensed as the chill of the rink seeped through your sweater, exacerbating the sinking feeling of shame from earlier in the afternoon. You shuffled awkwardly inside, feeling out of place amidst the bustling atmosphere, akin to a lost mutt. The contrast with the serene calmness of your morning classes caught you off guard, leaving you taken aback by the cacophony of noise.
Like the rest of your classes, the rink was only made up of a few girls probably eleven at most. But for a team, it seemed more unorganized if anything one girl sitting the the bench mindlessly tapping away on her switch, a few others scattered around competitively practicing. But there was one girl in particular….not in uniform talking to another chopper-headed girl…wait….
Fuck it’s that cat chick from yesterday….
Don't notice don't notice don't notice. You prayed ducking your face away now hidden under your palm before an older woman called out your name. "Oh, you must be the new girl!" Her voice carried a teasing tone, her posture exuding confidence. With short platinum blonde hair and piercing pale blue eyes, she commanded attention despite her age. "I'm Coach Miller, but you can call me Maria," she declared with a hint of a Western accent. "I've heard quite a bit about you."
"Really?" you replied, taken aback. "Yes, and I must say, I'm terribly sorry about yer’ situation," she continued, unaware of the discomfort it caused you. Fucking Christ who didn't Rachel tell? You suppressed a sigh, only to be interrupted by the coach's call. "Girls, gather around! I want you to meet our newest teammate!" Your body immediately tensed and you flusteredly toy with your sleeves watching the girls quickly skate over their attention locked on you.
Well all besides one girl, the auburnette was still chatting with Cat laughing as they gazed over.
What is this highschool again?
"Williams, including you! And Cat, I've told you before, if you don't play, you can't stick around!" Maria scolded, her annoyance evident. But "Williams" merely scoffed, a playful smile dancing on her lips as she leaned in to peck the shorter girl's lips, her gloved hands gently groping Cat’s flanks. The other girls chuckled, and a swirl of curiosity filled your stomach. "Now, Ellie!" Maria's voice cut through, pulling the player away from her lover, who smirked smugly as she complied.
"Little shit," the coach muttered under her breath, while the other girls whispered teasing remarks to Ellie. "Alright, everyone, listen up! We have a new player from Arizona. Let's give her a warm welcome!" Maria announced proudly, introducing you with a smile playing on her lips. Thankfully, you were greeted with mostly warm smiles and brief introductions, except for Ellie, who seemed more interested in starting trouble than welcoming you.
She didn't even bother with pleasantries, just furrowed her brows in disbelief. "Arizona, huh? You play?" she asked skeptically, causing you to feel a pang of shame. "No..." you admitted quietly, watching her green eyes narrow in frustration. "Coach, you're telling me Arizona is going to play with us, and she hasn't even played before?" Ellie's tone dripped with irritation, disregarding your presence. Maria rolled her eyes at the girl's outburst.
"Is that a problem?" she challenged. "Of course, it's a fucking problem! We have nationals in less than two months!" Ellie retorted sharply. "Watch your language, Ellie!" Maria snapped back. "Listen here, this girl has come a long way, and if she wants to be on the team, she's earned her spot. We have enough time to teach her the game, and you better watch your tone," she growled, locking eyes with Ellie. With a final glare, Ellie pushed past you to sulk on one of the benches.
Her sharp emerald gaze watching your every move as you chat with the other girls making your smile flatter nervously. Until another girl came up to you, with thick wavey hair and pretty freckles scattered all over her nose. She said her name was Dina?…too much happened to matter. “Let's get you in uniform yeah?” She affirmed taking your wrist leading you to willingly follow desperate to escape the stranger's gaze.
⋆ ᖭི༏ᖫྀ ⋆
While you might have initially felt a twinge of embarrassment from your encounter with the cat, you weren't entirely engulfed in humiliation. Now, as you find yourself seated on the icy ground, your ankles feeling the strain of the heavy boots and gear, and your legs turning to jelly from the brief skate around, you can't help but scowl over players' speeds. At least they were trying to help though considering the fact they were born and raised in snow they got it down.
Hell, you could barely strive forward let alone backward. This was nothing like roller bladding on scorched cement. It's not that you weren't athletic…but maybe pathetic. You could already feel another cry blurring your vision which wasn't making your sob story much better. With sore ankles, you clumsily propelled yourself forward, taking in a shaky breath, desperately hoping for some semblance of stability. Just as you felt your body teetering forward, on the brink of a chilly rock-bound plunge, another girl swooped in, her firm grip securing you against her chest. "You good, newbie?" she snorted, her tone a mix of amusement and reassurance. She was tall, her helmet shamefully hiding her charming features besides a few long sandy stands. You presumed her name was Abby…well you would've cared to remember if Ellie hadn't scared you off.
Flushed and slightly dazed, you glanced up at the blonde, offering a faint nod, only to receive a small smirk in return, accentuating her plush lips.….Cocky….had all the girls in here been cocky…You pondered until Ellie, unamused by your lack of practice, rudely interrupted. “Arizona! Had enough flirting?” she growled sarcastically leaning on the edge of the rink. “I-..” You stammered in return clutching your twig nervously. "Lay off Williams, it's her first fucking day," Abby interjected bitterly, revealing the absence of any camaraderie between the two. "I don't know, she seems to have it down, right? She’s wasting time chatting when she should be skating," Ellie taunted, stepping onto the rink and gripping her twig. "Let's start her off with the basics, shall we? Just a short game."
"Lets not maybe? She doesn't even know how to play," Abby added sarcastically, but Ellie merely raised a brow in response, carelessly shrugging. "She's got to learn soon enough, and you know how important nationals are, Anderson," Ellie retorted, her shorter stature carrying an air of challenge. But unfortunately, Ellie was right and shredding Abby's pride just slightly. “I’m not doing this right now.” She muttered with a bitter scowl tonguing her inner cheek as she shoved past Ellie. “Sorry, captains gotta do what needs to be done” Ellie mocked in bitter amusement while you stood there almost petrified.
But Ellie wasn't empathic, quite the opposite actually. God…where did coach go you pleaded mentally when Ellie's attention snapped back to you. “Alright, ladies huddle around!” The captain called out leading the puzzled girls to stride over. “We’re gonna teach Arizona here how to play got it?!”
“What? She can barely skate.” Nora informed once more. “Thanks for stating the obvious Nora, but I'm caption and I think this’ll help her, and I don't have time to sit and baby a newbie. If you girls wanna fucking win, let alone have a chance we gotta straighten her out” Ellie demanded sternly. You're gaze flickered around seeing the troubled faces of the other players, and you were already panicking. “Abby sitting out, five on each side just defence practice alright? Simple enough even for you Arizona.”
Arizona…that stupid fucking nickname. You can handle this...is what you were telling yourself…. just to prove this snarky bitch wrong. Who did she think she was, anyway? If she wanted to criticize your break, you'd set things straight. Focused, you tracked your team's every move, sliding over shakily, brows furrowed, bottom lip tucked beneath your teeth. Leaning forward, you waited anxiously for the puck to shift.
With a shrill blast of the whistle, Abby set the girls in motion, and they swiftly darted around, aggressively striking the puck. You, feeling bewildered, clumsily attempted to follow suit just as Dina expertly slid the puck over, grazing the tip of your blade. Several pairs of eyes flicked over to you, causing your heart to sink. Before you could react, Ellie effortlessly intercepted the puck, shoving you aside and scoring a goal. Off balance from the collision, your body lurched and crashed once more onto the ice, now speckled with small splashes of scarlet from your nose. The rink fell silent as the girls stood in shock and remorse, except for Ellie, who remained unfazed, panting lightly as she surveyed the scene. "What?" she asked innocently. "You're such a dick..." Nora scoffed, sliding over to help you up. "Are you alright?"
"Been worse…" you muttered, fingers pressing against the bridge of your nose as your chin remained defiantly elevated, streaked with crimson. Just as Maria returned from her brief absence, the scene unfolded before her. "What on earth is happening here?!" she exclaimed in shock and disbelief, hurrying back inside. "Ellie thought it was a good idea to get the rookie in a game." Abby confessed, shooting a furious glare in Ellie's direction. "Is that so, Miss Williams?"
"What?! Maybe I did! Is it the end of the world? Come on, Maria, get a grip. We need to focus—" Ellie retorted before Maria swiftly cut her off.
"I don't want to hear it! You're always starting shit, and now someone's injured because of it! Keep getting smart with me and you're out of the team!” the coach declared bitterly, causing Ellie to shift in shame.
"I-I... Look, I'm sorry, Maria... I need this scholarship, please—" Ellie began, but Maria's tone brooked no argument.
"If you want to keep it, you better shape up, Williams," the older woman growled, reaching out to gently grasp your arm as Nora guided you off the ice. "Since you seem so keen on being in charge, you’re trainin’ the rookie."
“What?!”

It might take a bit to write I'm going on a date this weekend. I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter tho!!<3

#csa warning for tags#ughhh ik i was just talking abt this but man. Man. constantly bullied as a child + raped as a child is a brutal combo huh#completely irreversibly fucked up sense of intimacy. i dont want to have sex with anyone i dont care what ppl think of me looks wise but i#also care more than anything and want people to want me so bad#like when ur only experience with anyone at all finding you desirable is being raped at 6ish. fucks u up man#was constantly told by everyone i knew that i was undesirable from day fucking one. i was always the one ppl would dare their friends to#'ask out' bc everyone thought i was that bad. i never had those rumours of 'some boy likes you' without people laughing in the background#all of my friends. even the ones that were also weird kids and bullied etc etc always have stories of other kids having crushes on them or#whatever. and i just never had that. it feels like i missed out on something important#i want to be pursued by a guy i hate i want them to not leave me alone. i want to feel like im in danger. and i know how fucking disgusting#that is but i cant help it. like i feel like thats the only way im going to feel normal and wanted like theres not something inherently#wrong with me. and i know how dangerous that is but its not like it matters anyways bc still no one likes me at all.#and i know how stupid of a thing it is to obsess over like what am i 9 years old? but i just cant get it out of my head#like idk i feel like the only way im going to actually feel desirable at all is if someone tries to rape me again. or if i feel like i have#to worry about someone raping me again. i know i wouldnt feel that way if someone was like. nice about it.#bc if someone genuinely liked me and was a decent human being about it i wouldnt be able to see it as anything other than faking it for pit#i wouldnt be able to believe it. even if i wasnt waiting for them to drop the joke and start laughing at me i would always think it was jus#an act bc they feel bad for me. the only way i could ever think it's genuine and that i'm desirable at all is if someone sexually#harassed me. like idk how to explain it but thats the only way i could feel desirable at all#bc it's the only way i've ever been desirable. when i was a kid.#and it terrifies me so bad bc i know how fucking disgusting that is and how self destructive it is#but i still feel like i dont even have to really worry about being assaulted. bc i still believe im completely undesirable at my core.#i dont believe i could be desired so i dont believe i have to worry about being raped. bc no one would want to anyways#rambles#vent

#instead of “everyone in the peloton can tell that tadejonas are pining for each other”#i propose the concept of: tadejonas who are *already together* like full-on established relationship living together part of the time etc#but somehow. no one else in the peloton has figured it out?#and like they didn't MEAN to hide it from people okay it wasn't on purpose#it just started out that way because when they realized they wanted to try it they ALSO realized that sooo much could go wrong#so they were like “we'll keep it pretty quiet until we're sure that whatever this is between us is real and will work out”#and obviously it does work out but when they try to tell people it somehow never seems to go according to plan#like somehow everyone leaves those conversations having completely missed the part where they say they're dating#and instead landed somewhere in the ballpark of “tadejonas are massively crushing on each other we have to help them”#so everyone is CONVINCED that they're pining away for each other and they keep trying to set them up in increasingly wild schemes#and tadejonas are just like. how do we explain to these people who we know and love that we are already in a committed relationship#random ass riders from like. every team tripping over themselves to help out the cause in the NAME OF LOVE and tadejonas are just like 🧍‍♂️#and like they feel kind of bad about it but also its kind of a game now to see how obvious they can be before someone catches on#random rider: jonas i promise tadej is totally into you okay he like. wouldn't shut up about you at XYZ race okay he definitely likes you#jonas (adjusting his scarf to hide the hickeys tadej left and jingling the keys of the house he shares with tadej): if you say so#what if i wrote something
