why did wilson feel the need to go gender neutral when talking about the homewrecker he cheated with that made him fall out of marriage? why did house feel the need to describe his ex-bandmate with “if he was a woman i would have married him” ? why did they both say “you’d be surprised with what you can live with?”
There is no closet there are only two men afraid of changing the dynamics of the good thing they already have

I am SO grateful that ed and stede exist as characters exactly as they are. I'm so grateful for these two men who are traumatized and messed up and struggle to even like themselves, who are terrible at communicating, who make enough mistakes between the two of them to fill an entire ocean. I am so grateful to watch them struggle and be seen and be loved and reach out for the things they want and are maybe starting to believe that they deserve. I'm so grateful that the show lets them fall in love and get together exactly as they are, that it doesn't say they need to wait until they've become some unattainably perfect version of themselves before they have permission to have that. i am so grateful for ofmd

Wait... Dream was born on August 12, 1999 and Dream was arrested in the Disc Finale on January 20, 2021 soo... wait, wait, wait, that means he was only 21 when he was imprisoned for life in a small lava covered box!... Did I do that math right? 21?! Man was barely able to drink legally in the United States and they gave him a life sentence in a boiling cell with nothing but lava, raw potatoes, a clock, and some books?!... oh my god...

somewhat kicking a bees nest here, but hear me out-
"homemade and handcrafted goods should cost hundreds and even thousands of dollars" is why attaching a monetary value to esoteric concepts like "time" and "skill" (and, you know, "a human being") is a bad system.
now, before the pitchforks come out, i am not bitching because i want a handcrafted quilt for $20. i do recognize that it would be unbelievably unfair to the quilter. but like...doesn't that sound obscene? that we live in a system where things that used to be pretty mundane are now only available to the upper class, or the creator just fucking dies? where in order for someone to make anything artistic, they need to be independently wealthy or ONLY cater to wealthy people?
again, i am not suggesting that artists should sell me their shit at a horrific loss. im not really suggesting any solution at all here, we're between a bit of a rock and a hard place. but it feels really inherently fucked up to me that the only options are "Artists taken advantage of" and "only rich people get art."
anyways, UBI huh

One thing about bsd never going beyond queerbating is that once Akutagawa is back he'll definitely act like he sacrificed himself for Atsushi out of pure feeling of rivality because that's what swore enemies do and that's going to be hilarious

Starlo should be Clover's dad
Why? Because ↓
1) Both dress into cowboy-themed attire to feel braver/more important than they are
2) Clover, instead of a regular kid, wants to feel like a hero; Star, instead of a regular farmer, also wants to feel like a hero
In reality, Star is not the tough guy he pretends to be. His optimism, protectiveness and caring nature make him a hero though.
In reality, Clover started off as a scared kid who became more confident and skilled thanks to Flowey's resets. Their heroism comes from their forgiving and selfless nature and the hidden courage they got the chance to explore.
2) Both acted childish during a dangerous situation
Clover came down the mountain with a toy gun so that it would bring them comfort/they'd feel more in control of the situation (if you remember, Frisk refused to play with Asriel's toys in UT, saying how they're "too old," and I assume Frisk and Clover are the same age).
Starlo brought a fake gun before confronting Clover in genocide, just to feel cool.
3) Both not only value justice, but base it on compassion
Clover's entire mission was to bring justice (avenge the kids), but along the way changed that mindset (in pacifist). Star says how him and his posse aren't bandits, tests Clover's sense of justice and morality with the trolley problem, and wants to give Ceroba a second chance despite her actions.
4) Starlo's got protective fatherly instincts
5) fatherly pride
8) a lot of monsters associate Clover with the Dunes/Wild East
9) oh and... Starlo referred to the Wild East as Clover's.... home. Twice.
he could have easily said 'Wild East'
... get the adoption papers.

just a very quick explanation about eastern european melancholy because it seems important to me -- this term as well as the general concept of melancholy can often be found in art and literature analysis and basically describes how the general depiction of eastern europe is... less than favourable. for example, eastern european characters like in bram stoker's dracula are characterised as being distincly different and not as culturally advanced compared to "modern" western cultures, a trend that is sometimes still seen today when looking at cultural stereotypes.
in the context of the movie damon and kris watched as well as historically, this term now more often refers to a general feeling of hopelessness that is caused by unstable political as well as economic conditions due to the situation post wwii and then the dissolution of the soviet union as well as yugoslavia.
the fact that damon and kris both felt that it was important to illustrate this cultural aspect not just through art but by choosing to evoke a female figure, a slavic babushka, means a lot to me, personally. i was joking with @izpira-se-zlato that damon made kris look like my grandma -- but, as with a lot of people here i assume, my grandma was born in post-war eastern europe and was a young girl during the same time period this movie takes place in and was also forced to experience and live through a lot of hardships in early communist poland.
i do believe that kris feels a strong connection to his slavic heritage and culture (he was the one rambling about interslavic, after all) and the fact that damon felt something, too, while watching the movie and that they wanted to express it together is something that feels very, very important to me and i honestly love and appreciate them so much for doing that.

You know what we should bring back?
Older christianity. I mean the anti government, anti military, community based christianity. The one that cared the most about peace, equality, mercy, kindness, and radical love. The one with shared property. The one that didn't conform to society but instead existed mostly outside of it. The one where noone considered one sin worse than another because in the end, we are all sinners trying our best to be better.

Obito + community service
Art request #11. Thank you for this request, anon! Post-Kaguya (or just post-war) Obito is my favorite Obito, and naturally this art has spiralled out of control 🤪 Obito: Rebuilding the World.
Building Buildings AU headcanons:
* Obito lives, his chakra & Sharingan are blocked.
* After some time they (somehow) unblock the Mokuton for construction purposes (the Juubi's bijuudama destroyed some towns, Mokuton users needed), and he can shape his chakra only the way it is needed for this ability. If he tries anything else, it just doesn't work.
* Obito has no idea how to use Mokuton for construction & architecture, so Yamato teaches him.
* Since he can't use chakra even for simple things like sticking to surfaces or climbing walls, he sometimes needs safety gear that he hates, but everybody else finds it amusing :D
* The goggles are very useful -- there's a lot of dust from the debris.
* Gradually Obito starts enjoying this a lot and is glad he can do something like this.
Aaaand some amazing cracktastic headcanons from @cool-thymus 🧡
* Yamato is like: "I'm NOT going to fraternize with a war criminal, not even if he is your former teammate, senpai." And then in a couple of days: "Here, Obito, I made you some soup! You need your strength, you're doing great!"
* Yams is a bit of a control freak, and everything should be by the book. And then there's Obito 😆 Yams is carefully showing Obito how to put together a neat building, while Obito creates something similar yet super weird/morbid/questionable.
Y: Obito, what is this?
O: What? I followed your instructions. You told me to follow my instinct.
Y: This is not.. I meant your Mokuton abilities, chakra-wise!
O: ... I did what I did.
* So as a "punishment" Obito gets to live in his weird building for a few days under the leaking roof (he ignored some construction rules for the sake of the morbid beauty of said roof).
* And when Yams comes back to check on him, he finds Obito sitting on the floor, totally unphased, the roof is leaking, water streaming right above Obito, BUT he had mokutoned a cute little umbrella over his head sprouting from his neck/shoulders. And again he deadpans, "I did what I did."
Thanks @cool-thymus, I think I died laughing 🤣
Any other headcanons? 🤣
