KINKTOBER - MASTERLIST
Thinking Changbin was awake happened to be a mistaken thought, especially after you had been standing at the door of his hotel room for the past few minutes, knocking at it. Even calling and texting him didn’t help. In saying that, it was late and you had to give him the benefit of the doubt; he had played a show not too long ago, had been complaining of muscle pain, and was most likely really tired.
But so were you.
Having waited over an hour at the airport trying to track some of Changbin’s lost luggage during their performance. A while after that, both of his items had been located and it was your task to return them to him.
For a few spare seconds, you thought it would be wise to just wait until the morning since you were convinced that he was asleep. But it wasn’t until you heard some rustling and footsteps behind the door right before it opened.
“Oh,” Changbin rubs his drowsy eyes. “Sorry, I swear I was up and then I closed my eyes and drifted off.”
It was easy to tell by his bed hair, the way that his natural curls were starting to peek through, “no it’s okay, you must be tired.”
“You have no idea,” he replies and looks at both bags of his luggage that you had been rolling with you since you got back. “Thank you, thank you, thank you! Where were they?”
He takes one off of you while you roll the other one into his room, “they were at a different luggage pick-up. But we already rang the airport to say that they were missing and then it took them an hour to track them. Anyway, did you go to see the physio in the meantime?"
About a few hours ago after the concert had finished, Changbin was complaining about how sore he was after the gym. It’s common for him to feel that way since he practically lives in that space. Only this time around, he might’ve pushed himself a bit too hard - that and during the concert.
“Nah,” he brushes it off as the door closes behind you both. “I can’t see any of them until tomorrow.”
“Do you think you’re injured maybe?” You ask concernedly.
Changbin huffs, “I’m not injured! I’m only sore and my muscles hurt like hell. Plus I always warmup and cool down properly.”
“Okay then, where are you sore?” You question again.
“Mainly my back,” he answers and goes to sit down on the edge of the bed.
“Upper or lower?”
“My upper,” Changbin confirms and tilts his head, looking at you. “I didn’t realise you were so concerned about me.”
Your eyes narrow at him, “not in the way that you might think.”
“Sure, sure,” he chuckles lightheartedly. “Anyway, if you’re going to ask me so many questions about my injury, you wouldn’t happen to be a physiotherapist right?”
“So you are injured.”
“That’s not what I meant,” he corrects. “I'm just sore, and I need a good night's sleep.”
“Well, if you want me to I suppose,” you say, ignoring his tone of voice.
“Wait...” He asks in disbelief. “Really?”
“I did a year in physio at college so I know a few things,” you answer, placing your own bag on the lowered counter where luggage is usually stored in the room. “I’m not a licensed one though.”
Changbin ponders; he has no way of getting in to see their physio at this point in time. Even just a massage would be some relief to him.
Whilst you aren’t professional in either of those fields, you didn’t study it for nothing. You know the functions of the body and muscles inside out. You know what happens to them when they’re under stress, torn, or strained. But also the remedies which can help repair them.
“Okay then, if you’re able to,” Changbin agrees. “Where do you want me?”
“The bed, so take your shirt off and lie on your stomach,” you instruct.
Changbin side-eyes you, “a date would be nice first,” he says even though he’s taking his shirt off in a rush.
You roll your eyes and take a small kit out of your bag. It’s stocked with the essentials; plasters, KT tape, scissors, cold spray - usually for Minho if his shoulder is playing up - nail clippers, all of which you have just in case.
These boys are constantly on the go and are prone to getting injured. So even though it’s not your job, you still keep things handy when there aren’t any left. But also because they end up asking you anyway whenever you're around. Spontaneous massages aren’t on that list though, but there's always a first for everything.
By that point, Changbin had stripped himself of his t-shirt, placed it to his side and lay face down on the bed. There were a couple of silent seconds of you preparing what you needed but also admiring Changbin’s body.
His back and shoulders are broad but especially taut, you’ve seen them before when he walks around the dressing room with his top half stripped of any fabric. But you’ve never seen nor felt it - not that you would in that type of way.
In saying that, you start by taking the small tub of deep heat, unscrewing the cap, and scooping some of the product onto your hand and setting the tub aside. Your first point of contact with Changbin’s back makes him jolt.
“Sorry,” he mutters, turning his head on the pillow.
“It’s fine. I’m gonna start now okay?”
“Got it,” he says.
You dollop a little bit more of the deep heat onto Changbin before spreading it and working it in until his skin absorbs it. He’s smooth to the touch. Your hands glide over every glorious muscle.
It doesn’t really sink in that you’re doing this until Changbin hums, sounding like he’s in relief. Within a few moments, he feels like his back is pressed up against a heater. His skin is hot and burning slightly, but that’s the whole purpose of the deep heat. It’s to soften the bunched muscles in his back, making it easier to knead and roll them out like dough.
However, given the state this part of his body is in, you can already make an observation on how tense his muscles are under your hands.
“You’re tight,” you feel as he rubs into a spot just above his right shoulder blade. “When did you say was the last time you went to physio?”
Changbin’s face flushes, he can feel the heat rising to his cheeks as if you put the deep heat on his face.
“I-I didn’t,” he responds, trying to relax. “But I haven’t been at all so far.”
You pause, “we have three physios and a sports massage therapist for a reason. You can’t tell me that you haven’t been to see one of them so far.”
“Some of the others are seeing them shortly and I didn’t wanna wait that long,” he argues. You use the thumb and the pad of your index finger to dig and narrowly drag down Changbin’s spine, making him contort to the left slightly.
“I’ve still been able to take care of myself after shows and whatnot. Ice baths and stuff like that, so I haven’t had any injuries so far," he adds.
“You don’t just take ice baths though, do you?” You ask, digging for more information to see if he really has been taking care of himself.
“Yeah, cold showers too,” he adds to his list.
“Heat is also good for your muscles, you know that right?”
“Not as good as cold techniques,” he says. “Right?”
“Depends on when you need it,” You point out. “You're a gym rat. I thought you already knew all of this information about taking care of your body-"
“Ah-”
Your hands still for a second from his reaction, “hurts?”
Changbin nods before his eyes flash open when you press your thumb deeper into the same spot. He lets out a yelp, his arms coming up to the sides of his shoulders, getting ready to prop himself up.
“Yeah - yes, that really hurts, fuck,” he groans.
“If it hurts, it’s working,” you use the flat of your hand to push Changbin back down into the mattress.
“That’s a very outdated saying,” he strains, trying to absorb the soreness before it eventually becomes bearable.
It takes him a few moments to melt against your touch now that his back is slightly more relaxed and warmed up. He’s now more susceptible to sensitivity which for him, heightens your contact on him. He doesn’t exactly know why it feels good - strangely good. But Changbin doesn’t complain.
“Y/N…” he breathes out involunintarily.
You freeze on the spot, wondering if your ears deceived you for a second. Surely Changbin didn’t just moan out your name. All you’re doing is unravelling knots in his back. But even so, you were curious for a split second and when curiosity takes shape, there’s nothing you can do about it. So to test your theory, you take a little bit more deep heat, rubbing it between your fingers and massaging it slowly over the area.
Changbin’s hands grip the sheets in response. He can’t control any of his reactions to the way your hands smooth over his back, or when the heel of your palm digs and drags nicely down his back. He doesn’t even want to think about where else good he feels.
“How does it feel now?” You test.
His response is a strange, high pitched hum, but he does give a small nod. You try not to smirk even though it’s not like he’s able to see it.
“I’m sorry,” Changbin swallows, almost panting. “It's just...you touching me.”
“Do you want me to stop?” You ask him.
“No!” he exclaims too quickly. “I mean, only if you want to. I’m okay with it, just…tender.”
You’re thankful that Changbin can’t see you blushing with embarrassment. You don’t know why you reacted that way but the more you massage his back, the more you forget about the moment. Changbin on the other hand begins to panic when he recognises that he’s actually horny.
Over the minutes gone by, his cock starts slowly filling out between his legs. It’s an awkward position to be hard and lie down at the same time. Either way, nothing is stopping it from happening and certainly not your hands. The heat, the cream, your touch, the wet, sticky sounds that it’s making, makes him think things that have crossed the border of ‘appropriate’.
“Are you okay? You seem like you’re struggling a bit,” you witness his shoulder blades start to cinch together.
“Fine,” Changbin turns his face into the pillow. “It’s sore but…it feels good.”
You look down at his hands and see him gripping the sheets again. From any physiotherapist’s point of view, Changbin might just be expressing that this hurts. That you’re really relieving the stress and tension built up in his back.
“Fuck, Y/N,” he mumbles.
But from your point of view, you can tell that he’s actually enjoying this more than he should be. You mentally scold yourself for jumping to that conclusion, because in what world does someone get off from having their back rubbed? It might be this world because when you realise that Changbin is making small, almost unnoticeable thrusts with his hips, he can’t help but want to speak his mind.
Usually, massages, erotic ones at least, are accompanied by other forms of actions, at least that's what you thought before Changbin started to become visibly flustered
“Changbin,” you say as he takes his tone as a warning.
His eyes flash open, knowing what he’s just done, what he couldn’t help but do, “fuck. S-Sorry, I didn’t expect…”
Didn’t expect what? Changbin doesn’t even know what the rest of his unfinished question means and he obviously doesn’t know the answer. Flustered as hell, he cannot seem to rack his brain for a lie. Even if he did, you would be able to see right through it.
“Again, it’s just someone touching me...” he mutters aloud what he's feeling.
You pause, “are you sure you don't want me to stop? If not, I’d like to get these last few knots out of your back.”
Changbin knows that this situation could go one of three ways. If he lets you continue to massage him, he will definitely cum. The bonus there is that his back will feel better and also his dick.
But if he asks you to stop, it'll be awkward as hell having to deal with the fact that he’s fully hard. The downside is that there are still knots in his back, and he won’t get to sleep, which ultimately means he'll be in a terrible mood.
The other way is that there is an unlikely small chance that he won't cum. His body might be overly excited right now, but it could pass. There's a 99% chance that he might have time to get soft. But with the way that you're both going, he knows it probably won't happen.
“I…I don’t know,” Changbin replies, clearly confused. “It’s been a while since…someone touched me-“
“That’s okay,” you dismiss his babbling. “It’s not unusual.”
He swallows, bewildered, “it’s not?”
“No,” you assure him.
At this point, you would stop but for some...fucked up reason, you want to keep going. You really want to see how this ends. You’ve never been someone who half asses things, so how is this any different? Plus it’s technically your fault after making Changbin unintentionally horny. At least that’s the state he’s currently in to your knowledge.
But you’re okay with that if he is.
“Wanting contact with other human beings isn’t abnormal Binnie. You’re obviously just a bit touch-deprived.”
“T-That’s a thing?” He asks, turning his head to try and look at you. But you smooth your palm up his spine, massaging into the divots until he reaches the base of his neck so that he can relax and not focus so much on you.
“There’s this theory that we all need human contact. Not sexually per se, but mundane things like hugs, holding hands and all that,” you start explaining.
“I guess that makes sense,” Changbin responds, then tries to suppress a grunt when you start gliding lower to his tailbone again.
You’re working the area just under his shoulder blade which at the moment seems to be the most sensitive. That and his dick - indirectly. Changbin is too embarrassed to think about the fact that you can read him far too easily. Either that or he’s just being extremely obvious, which he is.
“Even just social interaction at times. Studies show that there’s a link between loneliness and touch deprivation,” you add.
He can’t even believe he’s having this conversation with you. At the very most, he can’t believe that your hands are on him and making him feel certain things that are beyond his control.
“R-Really?” Changbin jolts when you begin kneading his back again, like every cell in his body is on edge.
“With these interactions, it can release a neurochemical in the brain called oxytocin which is responsible for good feelings…”
Neurochemical...oxytocin….Changbin appreciates the science talk and in fact, it’s strangely hot to hear it come out of your mouth. But he cannot focus on what he’s saying at all, because his dick is achingly hard and there’s nothing he can do about it.
“Fuck…” Changbin swallows harshly. “Touch me, please.”
“I believe I am touching you,” you respond coldly.
He doesn’t even know if your words were teasing or not. He just wants to relieve the throbbing ache in his dick when all he can do is make small thrusting movements. It’s not until you use the pads of his thumbs to press into a few points in his tailbone. It feels good in terms of the pain he had in his back, but now he can’t thrust against the mattress anymore. Not yet at least.
Changbin whines when you slowly release the pressure of his touch.
“You have a nice back,” you comment, then gently scratch down it with your fingernails, not enough to hurt him, but it definitely makes the deep heat feel hotter.
“Oh my god m’gonna cum,” Changbin exclaims out in a choked, rushed voice. His words instantly confirm your thoughts, so you continue to slowly rub down his back to his tailbone again. “Please..."
“It’s okay, you can come,” with the heel of your palm once more, you knead just under his shoulder blade, enough to make Changbin keen to the side.
His eyes snap shut before he’s dipped into pleasure. He goes silent for a few seconds, still making tiny movements, almost as if he were trying to fuck someone into the mattress. For him, it’s an odd sensation because his cock had been completely untouched and neglected.
Breathing heavily, Changbin slowly opens his eyes when the realisation dawns on him. He spends the first ten seconds of his comedown trying to figure out where he is. Your soothing hands slowly and gently rubbing up his back reorients him. The heat that the cream provided is now turning into a cooling sensation, added in with your touch. It feels good, and even better now that his muscles are at ease.
“Feel better?”
“H-Heaps,” he swallows, now feeling like someone tipped a bucket of ice water on top of his head.
“Good,” you smile to yourself, content with that outcome. “You should probably clean yourself up then.”

The First Hunch
Intuition seemed to follow Harry around the house like a ghostly shadow.
The irregular morning sickness could have been entirely coincidental. Still, the moment you lost the hopeless battle of keeping your eyes open and eventually drifted off beside him was the indisputable sign he had been seeking. You, the person he knew like the back of his hand, were succumbing to a nap before dinner. The notably rare occurrence was a spectacle to behold, and he didn't move a single muscle except for his heart that wildly thumped in his chest at the mere thought of it being true.
You had to be pregnant. No other conclusion could be drawn.
When you awoke an hour later in an evening daze with mellow light from the sunset casting a silhouette of the open shutters on your face, Harry found it amusing how disoriented your expression was. It was almost as if you were astonished at how your body managed to do a simple human function, such as letting yourself fall asleep. He gazed down at you and raised his eyebrows with an unspoken assumption of what you had been so futilely denying to him and yourself.
"Don't say anything," you said through a yawn before he could make a witty comment.
Harry kissed your forehead and knowingly smiled against it. "Just take a test, love. There's no use in putting it off any longer."
"I'm scared,” you mumbled.
"Why?" he asked softly, wrapping a comforting arm around your shoulders. You rubbed your tired eyes while sinking into his embrace. "We've talked about how much we want this."
"It's still scary.”
Harry swallowed thickly. Hell, he was scared too. Priorities shift tectonically once a baby is born and brought home to be raised for eighteen years. How did a person even go about preparing for that enormous of a responsibility? It was always nice to fantasize about until the harsh realities of parenthood caused him to spiral mentally.
"Well," he said with a loving pinch to your cheek, "I think it's a girl."
You grinned into the sleeve of his sweatshirt. "Have you been reading up on things already?"
"Maybe," he mused. Setting his feet on the ottoman, he continued, "Look at me for a second." You did, and he absentmindedly stroked his thumb across your stomach. "Tell me that you don't think you're pregnant."
A wary pause ensued. Your unintentional signals were as clear as day.
"I think I am," you whispered.
"For real?"
"Harry, you're the one who's so confident I am."
"I know, but... do you actually feel like there's a baby?" His palms turned clammy when he said it out loud. "It's your body. I'm just guessing based on mum blogs I read online."
You pursed your lips, then replied, "What else could it be? My period was supposed to start two weeks ago. And I've been nauseated recently."
"Do you want to take a test soon?" he asked, trying to steady his ragged breathing.
You nodded briskly. "Sure. I'll buy some after work tomorrow."
"Promise me," he pleaded, a slight impatience taking over him of wanting—no, needing—to confirm it once and for all.
"I promise. We'll find out this week." You were deliberately quiet for a moment before you asked, "Why do you think it's a girl?"
Harry immediately perked up and held his pointer finger in the air. "An old wives' tale claims that—"
"Stop right there," you interrupted with a hand to his chest.
"No, hear me out." He laughed contagiously and cradled your cheeks. "They say if you crave sweets, then it's a girl. Remember when you begged me to make cinnamon rolls for breakfast a couple of days ago? I had to go to the store for more milk because you were on the verge of tears."
You narrowed your eyes. "Everyone gets cravings, though. It doesn't mean they're pregnant. Or that it's a girl."
He frowned and said, "You're starting to sound like you don't want to be pregnant."
"I do," you replied frantically, kissing his precious pout. "I do, Harry. I want a baby with you more than anything."
"Then let's find out. There's nothing to be afraid of."

The First Heartbeat
Boundless possibilities could either leave you in a state of serenity or absolute shambles. The thin paper on the exam table crunched under you when you shifted restlessly for the umpteenth time, your jittery limbs bouncing with each second that noisily ticked by on the clock. Shirt bunched up to your ribcage, you awaited the gel that would be spread on your stomach. The skin there had become a little firmer during the previous week, yet somehow pudgier.
Harry stood next to you, his face visibly flushed with an equal amount of anxiousness. He looked around the room with observant eyes, scanning the daunting equipment and colorful pamphlets that presented themselves to eager parents-to-be.
He got off work early and rushed to the hospital to meet you, still in the grubby clothes he wore in the restaurant kitchen. You noticed his fingernails were bitten raw when he grabbed your elbow and leaned in for a kiss hello. Gentle and nervous smiles had been exchanged before the two of you walked down the hallway toward the elevators, your arms looped around his waist.
As the ultrasound gel was applied with an icy sensation that made you jolt, you held your breath and locked eyes with your husband.
"Is it cold?" he whispered, wringing his hands together.
"Yeah," you answered just as quietly.
The room was so still you could probably hear a pin drop. You inhaled deeply when the doctor moved the transducer wand around your lower stomach. Harry cleared his throat and broke eye contact with you to watch the computer screen that displayed a blurry black-and-white view of your womb. It was strange to see the inside of your body and even more strange to know a baby was growing in there.
After a painstaking moment, the device finally picked up on the most beautiful, muffled heartbeat. It wasn't your own, and it wasn't Harry's—it was your baby's. A lub-dub rhythm that was your responsibility to bring into the world.
Harry whistled in amazement and pressed two shaky fingers against his lips. He glanced between you and the screen several times before touching his heart and rubbing the spot. A reaction took over him that you had never seen before. Tears welled in his eyes, and a transfixed smile dimpled his cheeks. A sentimental ache bloomed in your chest, caused by love for him and his vulnerability.
"They've got a very strong and healthy heartbeat," said the doctor while adjusting the screen monitor.
You stared at the ultrasound showing a blob with no distinguishable features or anatomy, yet it was somehow part of you and part of the man you lived and breathed for.
"Harry, look," you said through an emotionally tightened throat.
He crouched beside you and sniffled. "I see, sweetheart."
"How far along am I?" you asked the doctor, blindly reaching for Harry's hand.
"Around eight weeks," they told you, clicking their pocket pen and writing down information. "As for your due date, you guys will be looking forward to early November!"
Harry clutched your hand, leaving a prolonged kiss on your knuckles. "An autumn baby," he murmured against your skin. He then turned his attention to the doctor and asked, "Can we please have copies of the ultrasound pictures to hang on the fridge at home?"
The timing was perfect. The color of the leaves would change the same way your lives would together. It would be a season filled with pure bliss and a turning of the tide. The end of the year would give you a love you could cherish forever.
——
The First Cry
"Is she breathing?"
It was the first string of words that tumbled from Harry's mouth after you gave birth. Babies were supposed to cry once they came into the world. Why wasn't she crying? Where were the shrieks he had prepared for months to hear?
Nurses crowded around you as she was pulled out all the way and set on your chest, her squirming body sensitive to the air. It was beautiful chaos happening in slow motion. Harry felt like he was floating outside of his body, feeling a surreal concoction of confusion, euphoria, and hysteria.
"W-what... why isn't she crying?" you choked out breathlessly. Your body was shaking due to the immediate shift in hormones.
Two nurses roughly rubbed your daughter with towels until she gurgled a high-pitched wail. Relief, relief, relief. Nothing could quite encapsulate Harry's raw emotion when he heard that sound come from a fresh pair of baby lungs. It was piercingly loud and overwhelming, yet heavenly to his ears.
Harry stepped forward with a wide smile. "There she is," he said, his voice scratchy. "She's here, love. She's breathing."
Your hands, wavering and sweaty, cautiously cupped your daughter's fragile figure. With that first maternal touch, you broke down with a cascading waterfall of tears.
"Hi, baby girl," you cried happily. "Shh, it's okay. You scared us for a second."
Eyes glossy, lips trembling, and heart growing tenfold, Harry was lost in admiration. The scene surrounding him was a mess, and it was merely an afterthought in his mind. He had never been so mesmerized by someone except for the day he married you. Even so, this was a different type of love—one that had flourished over nine months and was now a tangible fondness lasting for eternity.
Absent nods and weak affirmations were given to the nurse's questions thrown his way. The bubble he was in simply couldn't be popped. You scooted over on the hospital bed so he could sit next to you while they suctioned his daughter's tiny mouth, nose, and ears. Her cries were still going strong, and Harry soaked them in as he smoothed over the back of her small head with his hand. She had a decent amount of hair, courtesy of his genes, and something about that realization broke the dam behind his eyes.
When he blearily looked at your awestruck face, he knew he had made the right choice. The mother of his baby girl. And, if he got lucky, a couple other bundles of joy as well. It had to be you. No one else made him feel as complete as you did.
"We had a baby," you whispered in disbelief, staring at him with eyes rapt in wonder.
Through his tears, Harry laughed with astonishment. "It was all you. Do you hear me? All you." He kissed your dewy cheekbone. "I'm so grateful. Thank you, thank you, thank you."
You exhaled heavily and murmured, "I'm starving."
"When we get home, I'm going to cook you the best damn meal you've ever had in your life."
——
The First Smile
Harry entered the sunlit nursery with dragging movements similar to those of a zombie. He had only one sock on and the staticky-sounding baby monitor tucked under his armpit.
That morning, a whopping four hours of interrupted sleep was the new record. The days and nights blended together like watercolor on wet paper, and no amount of espresso shots or afternoon naps could cure his poor, sleep-deprived soul. His circadian rhythm had now changed to a cadence of chaos, and there was nothing he could do about it. The millisecond he became a dad, a certain little someone shifted to the number one spot on his list of priorities.
After turning on the lamp in the corner of the room and setting the baby monitor down, Harry leaned against the bassinet and let his baby girl's subsiding cries wake him up just like a freshly brewed pot of coffee would. They made him feel sad, but if getting up at the same time as the sun meant they could be soothed somehow (and that you could get more shut-eye), then he would do it over and over again.
Harry eventually reached down to pull his daughter's tiny body against his bare chest. It made his heart swell how she always calmed in his arms. "Already up and at 'em, huh?" he rasped, giving her his knuckle to suckle on since the whereabouts of her pacifier were unknown. She cooed and looked at him with curious eyes that resembled yours. "Why are you so precious all the time? Got me so wrapped around your finger that I couldn't possibly be mad at you for waking me up this early."
She kicked her legs outward, apparently a happy camper now that she got some love from her dad. Harry shook his head in amusement. "Were those fake cries?" he accused lightheartedly.
Once he changed her diaper and stole a few minutes of snuggles before she started becoming fussy again, his next destination was the kitchen, where most mornings began as a new family of three. Opening the fridge decorated with baby pictures galore and a calendar scribbled full of upcoming postpartum appointments, he grabbed the first bag of breast milk he saw and then took an empty baby bottle out of the dishwasher so he could make her breakfast. He honestly couldn't remember the last time he had the energy to cook himself a nourishing meal before noon.
Harry attempted to screw on the cap of the bottle using only one hand since his other was being occupied by a hungry, babbling baby. His face grew hot with frustration when the cap kept resisting being twisted, and it definitely didn't help when the bottle tipped straight over, causing valuable milk to spill onto the counter. Nice going, idiot. That wasn't good at all. He dreaded delivering the news to you, especially considering you recently told him how pumping felt like an extreme sport.
"Well, that's just wonderful," he muttered while looking down at his daughter, wholly prepared for her to literally cry over spilled milk.
But no, she didn't cry. Instead, she smiled at him for the first time. A gummy, wonky baby smile that woke him right up.
Harry gasped in surprise and completely forgot about the milk mishap, his heart pounding. "Are you smiling at me? Holy sh— I mean, shoot. We gotta show your mum. Wait, she's sleeping. Um, okay, hold on." He aimlessly scanned the kitchen for his phone. "Keep smiling, okay? I need to take a picture of this."
He abandoned the 'no phone around the baby' rule and rounded the corner of the island. In the process, he accidentally hit his side on the edged corner, causing him to stifle a groan. His clumsiness made his daughter smile even wider, along with a noise that could be interpreted as a giggle if he believed hard enough. And if he looked close enough, he could make out two miniature dimples indenting her cheeks.
He picked up his phone, and with the rays of the golden sunrise dancing over her happy face, he snapped a picture while his face beamed behind the camera. "Look at you," he cooed, pressing the capture button repeatedly. "Is my struggling funny to you? Hmm? Just wait until mommy sees this. She'll freak out."
After he put his phone away, which now had nineteen new keepsakes in its photo album, he observed her a little longer. At that moment, a sudden realization dawned upon him.
His daughter's smile looked a lot like his own.

The First Year
Hot wax dripped from the candle in the shape of the number one, making a black mark on the cake's blue fondant. It took the combined respiratory strength of three people to blow the puny flame out. Afterward, there was a brief pause in the festivities to settle a crying baby because it escaped Harry's adult mind that babies don't know how candles — or birthdays in general — work.
The cake was made with admirable precision that he somehow pulled off using his amateur cake-decorating skills from ages ago. Piped seashells made from buttercream frosting sat atop the circular cake, and a message of Happy Birthday was spelled out in dainty cursive icing. A graham cracker and sugar concoction caressed the bottom edges to resemble sand, and an impressive starfish cookie rested against the side. She wouldn't remember the cake, or the day for that matter, but Harry definitely would.
Once the slices were eaten, it was time to clean up for the night. The cheap chandelier hanging over the kitchen table shined upon a dirty mess of paper plates, plastic utensils, and opened presents containing toys aplenty.
"I need a shower," you told him, an exhausted sputter leaving your lips after you threw all the crumpled napkins away. "Do you mind cleaning the rest?"
"Not at all. C'mere." Harry loosely grabbed your elbow and pulled you toward him, smacking a vanilla-flavored kiss onto your mouth. "Love you. Go relax."
You thumbed away some frosting on his chin. "Don't put her to bed without me, okay?"
He smiled softly and stole another kiss, slower this time. "I won't. We're actually planning on partying all night."
You just laughed and made your way upstairs. Harry took it upon himself to clean the kitchen until it was spotless for you. He had been genuinely trying to help more around the house since motherhood is no easy feat on the body and mind. Taking an extra load off your shoulders was the least he could do as part of his lifelong repayment for giving him the most extraordinary experience imaginable.
After every surface was scoured clean, he walked over to his daughter and kneeled, observing her childlike wonder as she smeared frosting on the tray of her highchair. Curious eyes distracted, he felt a crashing wave of emotion wash over him. It just didn't seem possible that an entire year had already passed by. Wasn't it just yesterday that he unbuckled her from her car seat and showed her around her forever home? Didn't her newborn fingers curl instinctively around his thumb whenever he pressed it to her palm? Hadn't she only been something he dreamed about with you?
If he thought about it too much, he'd start weeping.
"Stop growing, please," Harry said while scrubbing her sticky fingers with a baby wipe. "I know you need to, but it's killing me inside."
She looked up at the sound of his voice. "Da da da da," she babbled, fists excitedly hitting the tray and becoming dirty again.
He sighed and decided to give her a sink bath before bedtime. "Yes, I'm your dad. And you need to listen to him when he tells you to stop growing, yeah?"
"No!" Her new favorite word was spoken shamelessly, and Harry couldn't help but chuckle.
"All right, little lady. Keep breaking my heart, then."
She raised her arms. "Up."
After standing with a huff, Harry lifted her in the air and shook her body playfully until she let out an infectious burst of giggles. Tickles came next, an innocent attack on her belly as she squirmed over his shoulder. He held onto her kicking legs and stomped up the stairs dramatically, making a right turn into the master bedroom. A gentle toss of her on the bed had her giggling even louder.
"An entire year of loving you," he said, kissing her cheeks repeatedly. "Happy birthday, lovebug."
——
The Last Night
There used to be a time when her legs couldn't wrap all the way around Harry's waist because they were simply too short. What were once chunky baby legs that happily kicked against his rib cage turned into toddler ones that kicked because they wanted to run free.
No more holding her sideways while she fit like a puzzle piece in the crook of his elbow. No more swaddling her tightly in a blanket after a midnight meltdown. No more tummy time, carrying her in a sling, or being there to catch her whenever she tried to walk on her own. Her dependence was slipping away.
Time was slipping away even faster.
Often, he looked back on all the moments he had taken for granted with his firstborn. Those screeching cries that wouldn't stop no matter what, leaving him with a daylong migraine and maybe a side of tears. Those tantrums that left him feeling defeated and on edge, only to end with her just wanting to be held by him. Those summer evenings on the beach, only him and her lying on a blanket and watching the sun go down while he answered all her nonsensical questions about the world around her.
Tomorrow, the date circled on the calendar's December page would allow Harry to relive those moments. However, it would be with an entirely new person he's never met. It'd be undeniably different — an accustomed bond to be formed and a shift in dynamic to adjust to. A challenge of keeping two humans safe instead of one.
Was he ready for that?
"Are you ready to be a big sister?" Harry asked the tiresome, limp child in his arms. Might as well pass off the question to someone unaware of it all.
"No."
He laughed at the confidence with which she answered. "I understand. It's a huge responsibility, but you'll be a natural. That's what your mom told me before you were born."
She nodded slowly against his shoulder, most likely oblivious to what he said. "Wanna go night-night."
"I know." The weight of his soul sunk, realizing time was ticking by faster than he'd like it to. "Let me hold you for a while longer. Is that okay?" Another nod. "You can fall asleep, darling. I promise I'll carry you to bed and tuck you in."
"Where's Mama?" she asked with her sweet, soft voice.
Harry rubbed soothing circles on her back, and tears stung behind his eyes for some reason. "She needs rest just like you do," he explained vaguely, not wanting to talk about the pre-labor pain you had been so gracefully pushing through the entire day. "Grandma's taking you to the park tomorrow, so you can't be cranky."
"Okay," she mumbled, approximately thirty seconds from a dream-filled sleep.
After swiping a finger down her button nose to get her eyes to flutter shut, he pressed a kiss to her forehead and steadily hiked up the staircase toward her room. He checked on you when he passed the master bedroom, finding you hunched over the bed and swaying through a contraction. It hurt to see you in such discomfort.
Harry opened the door to his daughter's bedroom, laid her in her toddler bed, and tucked the blanket around her body like he did every night. "Sleep well, sweetheart. Don't grow up overnight."
Her eyes popped open, and she was suddenly wide awake due to not being in his arms anymore. "'I'm not tired."
"You just said you wanted to go night-night!"
"Nuh-uh!"
"Go to sleep, crazy girl," he told her, ruffling her hair. Your mum needs me right now. Can you tell your angels and fairies to make her feel better?"
She hummed an affirmation and settled down. Harry's lips twitched into a smile, and he spread his arms out in his unvoiced gesture of love. She immediately spread her arms out too.
"Love you this big," she said cutely.
"Love you even bigger," he replied, gently pinching her cheek.
Doubt, incompetence, and fear swirled in his stomach when he realized that come tomorrow, he would no longer have his paternal attention solely focused on the little girl in front of him. His chest ached for her, knowing how hard it'd be to adjust to someone who required more nurture and care under the same roof. He'd just have to share his love, and his heart was more than capacious enough to manage that.
Before Harry turned off the lights, he confessed a secret that had only been shared between them. "You'll always be my biggest love."

Get To Know The Mun
Tumblr media Tumblr media
------The Basics!
Name: Owl (or Sam).
Pronouns: He/Him
Zodiac Sign: Libra (Scorpio cusp)
Single/Taken: Married
------Three Facts!
1- I grew up on horror movies and metal musik. Although my library is also full of different genres, metal music and synthwave (tho I'm fussy) are my favourites. 80's music is still some of the best music to this date imo. Watching slashers and thrillers are sort of comfort films to me, in a sense, which might seem odd to some people. But growing up in the 90's as a kid that liked these things, I was very outcasted. Writing Megatron and getting inside his head was a big outlet for me, and he's definitely a comfort character because of all the stuff he's endured. The post-war series I began writing started over 10 years ago. Back then, it was a personal journey for me just as much as it was for him. And now, over 10 years later, I'm rewriting the whole series (or... most of it lol), and looking back has been another wonderful journey, and also the reason I got back into the TF community!
2- I work in healthcare. I've worked in hospitals, clinics and Drs offices. I take legitimately any sample that can be produced by the human body from any part of the human body--yep... I mean any part (swabs, bloods, urines, faeces, histo, semen--ANYTHING), I also do heart checks and BP's, and covid, which let me tell you... working in healthcare during a pandemic is likely one of the hardest things I've ever done. I'm still burnt out and many of us are, so please give your healthcare workers some slack. <3 I've almost finished my studies for training and assessing, so I'm hoping to become a mentor or a teacher/trainer in my field :)
3- I was diagnosed late in life with Autism (severe Aspergers). Although I'd already diagnosed myself (lol, I'm obsessed with psychology and had also diagnosed my sister with BPD when I was like 16 which turned out to be legit), having that professional diagnosis meant a lot for me when it came to understanding myself and my behaviours, especially in my adolescence. It can mean at times that I am very overwhelmed and SLOW here (I'm also still studying, working, learning German and piano, plus I have other hobbies and blogs). Please don't take it personally if I don't always reply in IMs, especially due to time zones, but sometimes I'm just legitimately exhausted mentally and physically. My work is extremely demanding and busy and renders me fatigued. I also have other health stuff going on which renders me tired on a daily basis (:
------Experience!
Platforms Used: DeviantART, hotmail, MSN, RP forums, Skype, Tumblr. I've been around a long time lol.
Plotting / Winging It / Memes: All of the above tbh. I think that memes are a really good way to break the ice, but I definitely love plots as well, and getting to have long term RP partners <3 Srsly, if we're long term, I will likely gush with you about potential ships and stuff lol.
------Muse Preference!
Gender: I've Rped all, but I definitely feel more comfortable with male muses. I relate better with them.
Multi or Single: I've got both, and it entirely depends on how active the muse is. I definitely think single muses are easier to handle, but I've also got muses that had been neglected because signing in onto different profiles was a pain in the arse lol, and their activity was so low I felt like there was barely a point in having their whole blog to themselves, so I moved them all to a multi, and it's been a lot easier for me to manage. But then there's some muses that are just so loud that they gotta be on single ones lol.
Least Favourite Faceclaim(s): Most Game of Thrones actors are very over used, especially in some of the fandoms I'm in.
------Fluff / Angst / Smut!
Fluff: I adore fluff. But with Megatron, it's got to be a long standing relationship. He's not known for breaking down his walls and being comfortable exposing himself. It's going to take a lot of time and patience.
Angst: Look, I am a SUCKER for angst okay. Megatron is OOZING it anyway lol. But yes, angst!
Smut: I've been writing smut for over a decade, I'm very comfortable with it, and I love writing it. But I'm also PICKY with it, because the muses need to have chemistry, and if there's none, then it's not going to happen. Megatron is likely to sleep with MANY people, but there's also gotta be chemistry between the mods as well, because this is something that I do take pretty seriously when involving someone else. Just because I'm hella ace doesn't mean the muse is lol, and if there's chemistry, then heck yeah. I'm pretty open minded.

I feel the same with my sleep schedule— which isn’t even a schedule🙃 What book were you reading?
And I've been extremely occupied with college and the emotions that come with it (i.e. stressed, angry, stressed, tired, and stressed). But other than that, I guess it hasn't been too bad. l've been working on my dancing and writing (sort of, I can't stop procrastinating😃) and the like.
I really did want to message you but I didn't want to clog your inbox☹️
I especially wanted to message you when you made that post asking if your blog was already dead lol.
Just so you know, I would ABSOLUTELY read fics that aren’t smut! It’s so dry here on Tumblr in terms of &TEAM fics, especially ones that are longer or even good, so I’m literally willing to read anything🫠🫠 especially if it’s you writing though!
Like I was OBSESSED with Open The Door, Please? That shit was good mate😗👌
Anyways, I hope we can talk more!🥰
—🌕🌑 anon
oh 😟 college can be rlly stressful, remember to take breaks when you need it! time management is a skill that's hard to master but it will be worth it, trying my best everyday to get better at it >< it's good to hear that you're working on your dancing and writing, glad to hear that you're having fun! and don't worry about procrastinating, i do too most of the time hehe. it just takes a bit of effort to tackle it every single day, like maybe start a min or 2 mins early. (well we r both a procrastinator but still, maybe we can be accountability buddies <3)
i picked up a few books to read, cuz just like writing, i couldn't focus on one. i switched them up on random days when i get bored w the other, my brain works the best this way, and it help me refresh my vocabularies too lol. the books i read tho are; the thirteenth tale, house of salt and sorrows, anna karenina, something wicked this way comes, emma, the art and craft of storytelling. but the last one is a priority bc it's a writing book, and i have to study it.
and don't worry about clogging up my inbox lol, i love to read them. i'm just not able or not in the best state to reply but up until now, i still kept them in my inbox bc reading them gives me motivation boost when im down 💚 so thank you for all the long messages you've sent me up until this point, i honestly appreciate them.
and thank you! like thank you very much, i'm very very glad to hear this from u. it's terribly hard to function in tumblr as a writer who doesn't write smut, it discourages me sometimes but it's not like i would write smut just bc i want more interaction. i'd rather improve on my craft and artistry, even if it means it gets lonely sometimes. i would never be swayed away :3 and hearing this from you makes me very grateful, thank you! im so grateful you are here 💚
and happy to hear that you love the fic!! looking forward to talk w u too, i wish u a good day anonnie ദി ᷇ᵕ ᷆ )♡

♦ Forget Me Not… (MSSS)
Tumblr media
Theme: Forget Me Not
Challenge/Month: Monthly Simlit Short Story/March 2023
Genre: Angst
Word/Picture Count: 1,000 words/12 pictures
A/N: This is the first time in a long time that I’ve whipped up something for MSSS and I feel a bit rusty, to be sure. Why did this turn out as pure angst? I have no idea, that’s just where the prompt took me lol I also used Bluebells to represent Forget Me Nots because it’s the only blue flower that resembled it.
This is also the first new story that I’m posting on this blog. Hooray! Enjoy the unnecessary angst lol
_________________________________________
For as long as I can remember, there has always been a baby blue flower on my bedside table every morning. I have no idea where they come from and, when I asked my mom about it, she always said that I probably put it there and just forgot about it. At first, I was adamant that I had nothing to do with it, but she insisted. After years of being told this, I started believing it myself.
Tumblr media
Was I sleepwalking? I had no idea, but it worried me because I knew it wasn’t normal. I tried staying up to catch the culprit multiple times, but sleep always claimed me. As I got older, life started to get harder and I started to forget about them, despite still finding them every morning. I was so focused on other things that the flowers became insignificant to me. I started to ignore them and they started to pile up on the table.
Tumblr media
And then, one day, they just stopped. The flowers disappeared and no new ones appeared in their place. I was relieved at first but then I started to feel lonely. It felt like something important was missing from my life. It drove me nuts because I couldn’t figure it out. I became obsessed with trying to remember. My grades started to slip because I skipped class. My friends got tired of asking me to hang out only for me to tell them that I was too busy.
Tumblr media
“If you want to be alone that badly, fine!” exclaimed my friend after turning down her invite again. “It takes two people to make a friendship work and I’m tired of chasing you.”
“I never asked you to chase me!” I snapped back.
But my heart ached as she stomped away angrily. For the first time in a long time, I was officially alone and it was my own doing. Why did I say that? Why did I push all of my friends away? I didn’t have an answer and I honestly felt like I was losing my mind but that forgotten memory kept clawing at the edge of my mind. It was just out of reach and every time I got close, it slipped farther away.
Eventually, I was kicked out of university, fired from my job, and kicked out of my apartment. I had to move back in with my mom which I absolutely hated because all we did was argue about the smallest things. No matter how hard I tried, she just knew exactly what buttons to press to upset me and there’s only so much a single sim can take before they blow up.
Tumblr media
“Do you think you can manage to clean the attic this time or do I need to ask you five more times?” questioned my mother, giving me an attitude as she headed for the front door.
“I already told you, I didn’t clean it yesterday because I got called in for a job interview,” I replied, trying to keep my annoyance hidden to avoid another fight.
“Which you didn’t even get,” she scoffed, sending me a pitying look. “Try harder.”
I waited until she was out the door before I started to curse, releasing all of my frustration into the universe so it didn’t eat away at me. I had enough of that already.
With a sigh, I headed up into the attic and got to cleaning. I don’t think anyone had been up there in decades because everything was covered with a thick layer of dust. Cobwebs filled every corner and I could only pray to Gleb that there were no spiders lurking in the dark corners, waiting to pounce.
Tumblr media
A few hours passed and I was nearly done cleaning when I came across a shoe box. It was shoved into the corner, half hidden beneath an old dresser. As soon as my eyes fell on it, I felt this… overwhelming sadness wash over me and I just wanted to cry. My hands trembled as I reached for the box and it took me a minute to steel myself before I could finally open it.
Tumblr media
Inside lay a bunch of photographs. The rubber band that had been holding them together had broken over time, leaving them scattered around the box. I picked up the first one – it was a picture of me at the park, enjoying an ice cream cone despite it being the dead of winter.
Tumblr media
I chuckled. Even back then I loved the cold. Some things never change, I guess.
I picked up another photo – it was me and my mom mid-argument. Yeah, some things really never change.
Tumblr media
I shook my head, reaching for the third photo – it was a young boy looking for frogs. My brow furrowed in confusion. Who is this? From that angle, I could only just see the side of his face, but that pond… it’s near my house. I used to hang out there when I was younger, talking to the frogs.
Tumblr media
Reluctantly, I set the photo down and picked up another – it was me and the young boy, standing side by side with our arms around each other and smiles on our faces.
Tumblr media
It hit me like a freight train. Dylan Crowley, the only kid that made an effort to befriend me. He was my best friend, my only friend. The memories came flooding back to me, bringing with them a wave of sadness and pain. I remember now… Dylan died just a couple days shy of his 12th birthday. He drowned in that pond because he jumped in to save me…
Tears rolled down my cheeks as I shakily set the photo down. There was one left and taped to it was a dried, light blue flower. The picture was the two of us again but, this time, he was giving me the flower.
Tumblr media
My heart ached as I cried out in pain. How could I have forgotten the most important person in my life?

A/N: SURPRISE. Enjoy this chapter a day early. I had my days wrong and legit thought it was Thursday, but since it was ready…. Y’all get to enjoy the spoils of my frazzled brain. 😘
Tumblr media
Nesta waited with Nyx in the waiting room of the pediatric office.
His rash didn’t seem to be bothering him much, but she wanted to get ahead of it before it became a problem. He was absolutely enamored with the TV playing a bright children’s show in the corner, and Nesta couldn’t help but smile down at him as she checked her email.
The usual stuff greeted her, some open catering order invoices for the restaurant, a few wayward resumes from high school kids that had managed to get her personal email, and, of course, spam.
“Nyx?”
Nesta’s head shot up, and Nyx began looking around, wondering who had called his name. Nesta was instantly on her feet, pushing Nyx’s stroller toward the door that the nurse held open.
She smiled. “Hello, Nyx.”
Nyx babbled in greeting.
The nurse chuckled. “Such a cute little guy. You’re Nesta, I assume?”
“I am,” Nesta confirmed. “I’ve not been here before. It’s a nice office.”
The small talk went on. Nesta had never been a fan of small talk, of polite pleasantries.
It just made her feel awkward.
Nyx didn’t seem to mind. He just kept babbling and babbling and babbling, without a care in the world.
The nurse led them into a room and she checked Nyx’s height and weight before telling them that the doctor would be there shortly.
Nesta had picked Nyx up, looking around at all the educational posters on the walls, when a quick knock sounded on the door and a man cracked open the door.
Nesta blinked once as he stepped inside, not expecting the tall, muscled man that appeared in front of her.
“You must be Nesta,” he said, extending his hand. “I’m Dr. Kamaras.”
This man was Nyx’s pediatrician? She had known that Nyx’s doctor was male, Feyre had mentioned him in some stories a few times, but Nesta had always pictured an elderly man.
Not this sculpted, handsome man, who could easily graced the cover of one of the ridiculous smutty books she kept well hidden in her bedroom.
She shook his hand, finally remembering how to speak. “Yes, I am, it’s nice to meet you.”
Very nice to meet you, she added in her head.
His face sombered. “I was very sorry to hear about Rhys and Feyre. They were great people.”
And just like that, Nesta was back on earth, holding her sister’s son in her arms, standing where her sister should have been. She tried to keep her smiling from dimming, but she cleared her throat. “Thank you. It’s…been an adjustment.”
As if they both remembered why they were here, Dr. Karamas blinked and said, “Yes, Nyx, right. You told the nurse he has a rash of some sort?”
“It’s just a diaper rash but it seems to be getting infected,” Nesta explained. “I’ve tried a few different things but nothing seems to be working.”
“Ah,” he said, nodding. “Well, let’s take a look.”
Dr. Karamas took one glance and whistled. “Definitely infected. I’m going to give you a steroid cream. Put it on after every diaper change. It should clear up within the week.”
Nesta let loose a breath. “Oh, great, thank you.”
“Absolutely,” he smiled.
He had a nice smile.
He scribbled something down on his clipboard, signed it, and handed it to Nesta. “The number on the bottom is my office number. If you have any other concerns, no matter how small, give it a call.”
Nesta looked at Nyx’s prescription and the number that was beneath it, along with his name.
Balthazar Karamas.
“Thank you, Dr. Karamas,” Nesta said, and she meant it. She was still new at this, and every little medical thing concerned her.
If it wasn’t normal, she was freaking the fuck out.
“Bal, please,” he said, taking her hand again, shaking it. At the look on her face, he added, “I work with kids. They do better on a familiar name basis than with titles like doctor and mister.”
She nodded, smiling. “Bal, then.”
Nesta was getting Nyx resituated in his stroller in the waiting room, about to head back out into the bright sunlight, when she felt someone approach. She wasn’t expecting to find Balthazar standing a few feet away. She quickly checked the stroller, making sure she had her purse, the diaper bag, and, of course, Nyx himself. “Did I forget something?” She asked, finding everything exactly where it was supposed to be.
“No, no, it’s not that,” he said, pausing in front of her. “I just…can’t shake the feeling that I know you from somewhere.”
It was strange, since Nesta felt the same way.
“You’re not Illyrian,” he said, and it wasn’t a question, nor was it rude. Just an assumption. She only knew of a few other Illyrians in the area, and Balthazar definitely had the same coloring as Cassian and Az. And Rhys used to have. She, pale skinned and blue eyed, certainly did not.
“I’m not,” she said, at last.
Bal chuckled.
That smile, yet again, had her toes curling.
“Interesting,” he said, that smile remaining. “Well, maybe we can figure out just where we’ve run into each other before...over lunch this weekend?”
Nesta blinked. A date?
“Not a date,” he said, quickly, reading her mind. “I would never ask the aunt of my patient on a date. That would be incredibly unprofessional.” Nesta laughed. “Just…two acquaintances figuring out where they were previously acquainted.”
“Lunch sounds nice,” Nesta said, unable to shake her own smile. “Saturday, then?”
“Saturday,” Bal agreed.
They set up a time and place and then Nesta was out the door.
*
Cassian’s day had been as long as it was the day before. It seemed that the teenagers visiting Velaris had gotten the message from their friends that Cassians bar was checking every single ID of every single drink that was ordered. So instead of being slammed and busy and frustrated the whole day, he had been bored out of his mind.
He’d gone through his inventory sheets twice, ordering anything they might remotely run out of in the next few weeks.
It didn’t help that Kallias had the day off, covering the evening shift tonight, leaving him alone with his thoughts all day.
And those thoughts constantly reminded him that he’d been an absolute dick to Nesta the night before.
As he drove home, he contemplated the apology he needed to make.
Although Cassian believed his intentions were typically good, apologizing wasn’t one of his strengths. He ran through what he’d say a hundred times, had come up with an unbearable amount of ways in which he could apologize, but everything he thought of wasn’t good enough.
He knew Nesta well enough to know when she would laugh in his face.
He’d come up with about fifteen different scenarios of how this could go by the time he pulled into the driveway, parking next to her little car. He took a deep breath before unlocking the front door and letting himself in.
The house was quiet, neither Nesta or Nyx were anywhere to be found. It was barely six-thirty, but he knew Nesta was taking Nyx to the doctor earlier in the day, which may have tired him out so thoroughly that he was already down for the night. A peek into his cracked bedroom door confirmed it, his little hand curled next his face as he slept.
When he finally tracked down Nesta, on the back patio, her feet propped up in a lounge chair, he definitely hadn’t expected to find her with a bottle of wine. Or what was left of it, at least.
The mostly empty bottle of wine sat next to the baby monitor.
He cleared his throat, announcing his presence.
Nesta’s sigh was the only acknowledgement she showed.
“Everything alright?” He asked.
She shrugged and took a sip from her glass.
“Bad day?” He continued.
She shrugged again.
“Is this the silent treatment?” He asked.
“I assume you’d know,” she said.
Cassian began rubbing his temples. “Look, Nesta-.”
“I’m a little busy if you don’t mind,” she continued. “I prefer to relax alone.”
“This is my house, too,” he said, shutting the sliding door behind him as he made his way onto the patio. “What if I want to sit out here with you?”
“Then I’d suggest continuing the silence,” she said, not looking at him, her face tilting back up to the sky, where it had been when he’d come outside.
So he sat down on a nearby lounge chair, and didn’t say a word.
Or he tried, but he didn’t last five minutes. The words that had building inside him all day needed to come out. He’d rehearsed different things he wanted to say, with reasons for why he was such an asshole, and promises to try and be better from now on. But as he looked over at her, the starlight on her face, all he could get out was, “I’m sorry.”
For a moment, Nesta said nothing. “About?”
“The way I acted last night,” he replied, keeping his eyes on the lawn. “It was uncalled for, and I’m sorry.”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” she said, draining her glass.
Cassian’s eyes shot her direction. “I’m trying to apologize. You can at least accept my apology so we can move on.”
“Apologies mean nothing,” Nesta said, shrugging. “Words are meaningless.”
“Not mine,” Cassian argued. “I mean what I say.”
“Then you meant what you said last night?” Nesta pushed.
Cassian’s lips snapped shut and his jaw hardened. “No.”
“So, you’re a liar, then?” Nesta asked.
He groaned in frustration. “You’re infuriating.”
She didn’t deign to reply to that.
He took a deep breath. “I’m sorry I was an asshole last night. I was…embarrassed about how you found me the night before. I don’t… I don’t like to be seen like that.” He paused, but then he held a hand out in between them. “Not- not that that happens often. I mean, I don’t make a habit of having emotional breakdowns.”
She didn’t say anything. Just stared at him.
He cleared his throat again, remembering little things he had felt badly about through the day. “Nesta, I’m sorry I acted like an ass. I’m sorry I didn’t appreciate the dinner you made me. I was rude as hell and you did nothing to deserve it.”
After a second, she glanced away, out over the pool. He figured she wasn’t going to reply, and he stood, heading back for the back door.
He had slid the door open and was halfway inside when she said, “If you’re hungry, I made lasagna for dinner. It should still be warm on the stove.”
He turned back and found a hint of a smile on her face. “Thanks, Nes.”
*
A continuation of his apology, Cassian had told Nesta he'd be on baby duty for the rest of the night, waking Nyx up for his bottle, granting her leave to do whatever she wanted. She elected to finish off the bottle of wine, open another, and relax in the bathtub with a book.
The book of choice was definitely not appropriate to read in front of Nyx.
Or Cassian, for that matter.
She had appreciated his apology, even though a part of her still wanted to be pissed. There were very few things that agitated her more than male bravado, and Cassian was the spitting image of it. Embarrassed because he was emotional? Please. Get the fuck over it.
Then again, she could say that all day, but in honesty, if the positions were reversed, she would have reacted very, very similarly.
If not worse.
Nesta had always felt too much, far more than either of her sisters. It wasn’t like they were robots, of course. Elain had a bigger heart than anyone Nesta had ever known, and Feyre had been a light to be around.
But, Nesta…
She felt it all, and she felt it far too deeply. She had learned long ago to shut those emotions off, to let them go, to not let her emotions show. They could just be used as a weakness.
And she found life worked better that way.
There was a soft knock on the bathroom door.
Nesta sat up straight, even though the door was locked, in a sudden panic over the fact that she was nude and reading smut.
“Yeah?”
“Nyx is going to bed,” he said. “Just thought you’d want to say goodnight.”
“I- Ah- Just a minute,” she called, setting the book down and reaching down to grab for her towel. She was out and damn near opened the door in just her towel again, but remembered their agreed upon rules. She snatched her robe, wrapping it around herself, towel and all.
She opened the door, Cassian standing just by her bed, and Nyx had his head resting on his shoulder, rubbing his little eyes.
The image was so pure and innocent that Nesta couldn’t stop herself from taking a few steps towards them, reaching out to brush her fingers down Nyx’s soft cheek. “Sweet dreams, buddy,” she breathed, leaning up to press a kiss to his forehead.
She regretted it almost immediately, as bringing herself that close in Nyx also inadvertently brought her to Cassian. His heady, nutmeg-and-campfire scent enveloping her, reminding her of the morning she’d come downstairs and found him as naked as she was now. She stepped back quickly, clearing her throat. “And goodnight to you, Cassian,” she murmured. She pointed back behind her towards the bathtub, towards her book, and said, “I’m going to read a little longer and then go to bed myself.”
He nodded. “Alright, I’ll see you in the morning. Goodnight, Nes.”
The nickname didn’t bother her as much as it previously had, she realized as he made his way back out of her room, shutting the door behind him.
She didn’t let herself think about that, did her best not to think about him, as she sunk back into the warm water.
*
Nyx had gone down easily for Cassian, for the first time ever, thanks to the frozen toy he’d gnawed on to relieve the pain of his incoming tooth. He’d decided he deserved a treat, too, after that, and had sat down to watch the hockey game, a beer in hand.
Fifteen minutes later, there was a knock at the front door.
Cassian paused, glancing down at his watch, seeing that it was pushing nine o’clock. He stood, after a second knock sounded, making his way to the door. He opened it to find a woman dressed in a suit on the other side. “Can I help you?”
“Mr. Nazari, I assume?” She asked, extending her hand.
He took it, on instinct, shaking it, but he blinked. He repeated, “Yeah… Can I help you?”
Her brows twitched together. “My name is Alis Birch. I’m with social services.”
Cassian continued to shake her hand, staring.
“The courts told you we’d be making random visits to check in on Nyx,” she continued.
Oh, fuck, Cassian thought. Oh, fucking hell.
They’d completely forgotten about those random visits, in the past few weeks they’d been doing this, distracted by getting used to not only being parents, but getting used to each other as well.
“I see,” Cassian said, nodding. “I… I’ll…be right back.”
“I’d like to come in-.”
Cassian shut the door, quickly set his beer on the table in the entryway, and hauled ass upstairs.
He threw open the door to Nesta’s bedroom, only to found it empty, so he continued on, throwing open the bathroom door.
Where Nesta was still in the tub, completely nude, a book in hand, one hand disappeared beneath the water. Her head was thrown back in utter ecstasy.
Until Cassian barged in, anyway.
“Shit!” he yelled, just as Nesta gasped and sent the water sloshing out of the tub, over the porcelain edges.
Cassian quickly shut the door behind him, closing them into the bathroom together, and put his face in his hands. “Sorry!”
“What the fuck is wrong with you?” she yelled, and he could hear her pulling the plug.
“It’s important, I swear,” he said, his voice muffled by his hands.
“If the house isn’t on fire or Nyx isn’t dying, it’s not important,” she cried, ducking behind the walls of the tub.
“It’s pretty fucking important,” he said, turning to give her a semblance of privacy. He heard her stand up, water moving and quiet dripping, before her feet landed on the rug outside the tub. “The social worker is here.”
She froze and he dared a look back at her. Thankfully, she was wrapped in her towel again, one arm pushed through her robe. “The social worker is here? Now?” He nodded, and she looked at the nearly empty bottle of wine next to the glass on the small table by the tub. It was the second one she’d had that night. “But it’s late,” she protested.
“It’s a random, surprise visit,” he replied. “I left her outside, but-.”
“You didn’t let her in?” Nesta demanded, eyes widening. “Cauldron, Cass, that makes us look so guilty.”
He blinked. “Of what?”
“I don’t know,” she said, throwing her hands in the air. “But it doesn’t make us look good.”
“Well, I didn’t know what to do,” he sighed, exasperatedly. “I sure as hell wasn’t expecting to come up here and find you doing that.” He gestured to the tub.
Nesta’s cheeks heated. He figured his own were going to permanently be the shade of red they were now.
No, that was the last thing he ever expected to catch Nesta doing.
“Just… Go let her in and stall her while I get dressed,” she sighed, crossing her arms, waiting for him to leave.
Cassian hesitated, then nodded, and hurried back down the stairs. When he reopened the front door, Alis Birch stood there. Her expression was hard, intimidating.
Cassian could feel himself sweat.
He prayed that Nesta somehow sobered up and got the fuck downstairs, because there was no way in hell he could do this without her.

i think that it was @bbangwu who said something along the lines of jay & k talking outside the bakery after k left so:
{\     /} ( • - •) /> 🧁 here’s a cupcake from the bakery for you :)
Jay couldn’t sleep for two reasons. The first was clearly obvious with how you were laying on top of him, your head resting in the crook of his neck. The feeling of your breathing so close to him sent shivers down his spine and butterflies to his stomach. Your presence gave him the same feeling Jungwon’s daily teasing and Sunoo’s smile did. Your presence made him forget about all the pent-up resentment, anger, and shame he’s had within him his whole life. So he kept his arms wrapped around you as he stared up at the ceiling. He told himself that if he let go, you’d fall off the couch. But deep down, he didn’t want to let go. He knew that for the next few hours, you had granted him the privilege of your trust by falling asleep on him. He wanted to hold you every night like this if he could, mind racked with daydreams and imagines. Maybe he’d come home from work one late night after the boys’ bedtime. He’d go to check up on Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-ki to see them in their bed already asleep. Maybe you’d still be awake, spending some time in the kitchen baking new recipes for the bakery. Music would be playing on a low volume to not wake up the boys and you’d dance together while the scent of freshly baked cupcakes filled the air. Or maybe you’d be asleep. He’d settle into bed and you’d turn around to cuddle with him the same way you were right now. He was brought out of his thoughts as he felt you move slightly,
“Jay?” he heard you whisper.
“Mhm, love?” It slipped out faster than he could realize what he had just said. Your eyes were still close meaning that you were probably in dreamland right now.
“That makes me feel fuzzy inside,” you muttered.
“Bad fuzzy?” you shook your head,
“Good fuzzy.”
The conversation ended there, he closed his eyes and tried the best he could to control his breathing. You were driving him crazy. But the second reason why he couldn’t sleep? K. And that drove him even crazier. He needed to talk to you about two things when you woke up, the kid’s conversation and his conversation with K. Whatever little respect he previously had for K vanished hours ago.
«««
After Sunghoon came, he rushed to the car and made his way to the ras bakery. Once there, the sight the greeted his eyes broke his heart. You were sitting at a table, clearly crying and upon seeing who was leaving he instantly knew the cause.
“Hey,” he said as he glared at K. K stopped in his tracks, looking at Jay with disbelief written all over his face.
“What, did she ask you to come get her or something? Why the hell are you here?”
“Why is she crying?”
“You’re not her boyfriend, what does it matter to you?” K’s words stung more than Jay wanted to admit but despite that, he stayed silent. Arms across his chest as the two ended up in a staring match to which K was the one to lose,
“I said I was sorry, ok! I don’t know why the hell she’s crying right now but I can’t stand the way that every time I see her all I feel is guilt for the crap I did. But what am I supposed to do now? If she doesn’t forgive me, there’s nothing I can do.” After hearing K’s words, Jay’s anger only increased. You had done everything on your own from raising Ni-ki to opening your bakery. Jay knew that you were open to having K as a part of Ni-ki’s life but deep down, he felt as if you were being too lenient towards the guy. Both you and K deserved more than anything K had to offer.
“Let’s get one thing clear, hyung,” the last word with a mocking tone to it, “when you apologize you are requesting for forgiveness but never are you entitled to it.” Jay walked past K with more pressing matters that he needed to take care of.
«««
He managed to get up without waking you and carried you to his room where he settled you in bed. He felt you take his hand,
“Stay, you’re warm,” you muttered. He knew he should have said no. He knew he should have tucked you into the blanket and left the room. He knew he should have slept on the couch. He should have left while he still could. But he didn’t. So instead, he settled under the blanket while you situated yourself next to him. He put one arm under your head and wrapped the other around you. He allowed you to intertwine your legs with his, settling in a world of warmth and closeness that he knew no one else in the entire universe would be able to give him for the rest of his years. And as he closed his eyes, the scent of your shampoo filling his nose he knew that the scent would stay on his pillowcase for weeks from now, in his memory for longer. Tomorrow, you’d talk. But for now, he’d allow himself to get lost in you.
As you woke there was a weight on top of you. As if sensing your awakening, a pair of arms drew you closer to a rock-solid chest. Opening your eyes to be met with Jay,
“Don’t get up yet, we have company.” You looked at the bed to see Jungwon next to you while the other two boys were cuddling together. As you smoothened out Jungwon’s hair,
“When did the boys get here?”
“I don’t know.” You felt Jay play with the ends of your hair, running it through his fingers as silence befell the room.
“Last night you said we needed to talk,” you found yourself saying.
“The boys had a conversation before I left.”
“About?”
“Ni-ki said that he doesn’t have a dad while Jungwon and Sunoo have me. Jungwon said that they don’t have a mom while Ni-ki has you. Then, Sunoo said and I quote, ‘Ni-ki, why can’t our dad be your dad and y/n noona be our mom?’ After that, they went to sleep.”
“Ni-ki’s never really said anything about not having a dad before,” you said as you looked out at the boys. Jay sighed,
“Neither have Won and Sunoo.” You had no clue what to say or even how to address the issue. While you did sort of have feelings for Jay, things were too messy for the two of you to be in a relationship right now.
“What do we do?”
“I don’t know, we should think on it for a few days. I, uh, have something else to tell you.”
“There’s more?” Jay moved your hair away from your face,
“K and I talked before I went into the bakery. I felt like it was only right to let you know.”
“Oh.”
“Do you wanna know what we talked about?” Shaking your head,
“I trust you.”
“It’s a lot to take in for one morning, isn’t it?”
“Honestly, I’m just hungry.” Jay chuckled,
“Guess that’s my cue to make breakfast?”
“I can do it if you’re tired, I’ve always wanted to explore your kitchen.”
“We can cook together then,” Jay offered. While the boys were asleep in Jay’s room the two of you were in the kitchen. There was a different side to Jay while he looked, he was less guarded and more carefree. When the boys woke up and the five of you were eating breakfast,
“Your birthday’s coming up in a few days.”
“You know my birthday?”
“Of course I do, what kind of 02zer would I be if I didn’t?”
“I’m just surprised is all.”
“What are you gonna do to celebrate?”
“I’m working on the day of my actual birthday. Sunoo and Jungwon wanted to go camping so we’re just gonna do that over the weekend with Sunghoon and Jake.”
“Ooo, sounds nice.”
“Can Ni-ki and noona come?” Jungwon asked Jay.
“That’s up to them,” Jay turned to you somewhat hesitant in his next statement, “I was gonna invite the two of you before all this happened. You can even bring Heeseung hyung if you want.” You knew you should have said no. You knew you should have told him that it was fine. You knew you should have lied and said that you were busy over the weekend. But you didn’t want to. Instead, you allowed yourself to feel the comfort of Jay’s presence. You allowed yourself to trust in the safety he brought. You knew that his touch would linger on you in the weeks to come, staying as a dream perhaps for months. Later on, you’d deal with things. You should have thought with your head rather than your heart while you still could. But you replied,
“Count us in.”

Chair in the Corner
Agent Whiskey x Female Reader
Warnings: smut, thigh riding, unprotected sex, slight Dom! Whiskey if you look close enough
Summary: after working away for a week, Jack Daniels has some making up to do after telling you not to touch yourself while he was away.
A/N: This is my first time writing for Agent Whiskey (other than headcannons) so I was quite nervous! I am open to any comments/ notes!
Jack had been gone for a week and had given you strict instructions before he left that you were not to touch yourself while he was gone. He told you before he left, as he leaned against the front door with his two fingers under your chin, that he would make it up to you when he got home. If it wasn’t for the thoughts of what he would do to you when he finally got his hands back on you, you would have gave up. But you wanted to be good for him and more importantly you wanted to hear him tell you how good you had been for him.
That morning, your phone buzzed with a message from Jack letting you know he would be home before the end of today. The excitement buzzed through you all day and as you rushed home from work your head was spinning with thoughts of what he would do to you. When you finally arrived home, your hands shook as you tried to unlock the door and when you finally heard the click you headed straight to the shower.
The day after he left you had went shopping for new underwear to have on when he got home. Jack was not shy about what he liked and while he didn’t care what you had on - he would find you in his words drop dead gorgeous in both sweats and short dresses - you couldn’t not notice how his eyes lit up at some fancy lingerie. The red teddy, with matching suspenders and of course the red heels sat at the side of the bed as you dried yourself and hair off before changing into the outfit.
You went to the kitchen, noticing the way your hips swayed just that little bit more than usual, and made yourself something quick to eat knowing you would need all the energy for later. Once you had finished, washing the few dishes you had used, you poured a glass of wine and lifted the bottle and an extra glass into the living room.
Two glasses later, you heard the keys in the door as heavy boots entered the house.
“Darlin’? That’s me home,” his voice boomed through the house.
The click of his boots against the floor moved closer to where you were perched on the couch, the glass still in your hand and legs stretched out in front of you. As he reached the door, you couldn’t stop your thighs from squeezing together at the thought of what was about to happen.
“Darli- oh sweetheart what do we have here?” his voice lowered as he slowly stalked towards you.
“Welcome home,” you replied, trying to ignore the way his eyes grazed over every single inch of your body as you stood from the couch, “everything go okay?”
You kept your eyes away from his as you poured him a glass of wine, not looking at him until you turned to hand him the glass. His eyes were dark, staring into your soul and you almost faltered in your confidence. When his hand reached up to take the glass from yours you noticed how it had been clenched in a fist as he raised it. You kept your smile innocent, walking back to the couch to show off the short teddy before sitting with your legs under you.
Jack didn’t move, He stayed standing and looking down at you not sure how he was going to play the situation before him. When his eyes finally managed to drag away from your thighs that were completely bare in front of him and noticed the playful but innocent glint in your eyes he placed the glass down.
He moved to sit over at his seat in the corner. It was a large leather one seater that creaked as he lowered himself onto it, moving until his legs were wide and facing you.
“C’mere,” he patted his thigh.
You placed your glass next to his before walking slowly over to him. When you reached him you moved to straddle his lap but he stopped you with a gentle grab at your wrist, moving your body until you were resting on one of his thighs.
“Did you do as I said?”
“Hmm, what did you say again?” you played with his tie not breaking away from his gaze.
“You know what I said, sweetheart. Not to play with yourself while I was gone. Did you do that for me?” His hands reached up to hold onto your hips.
Your mouth was suddenly dry and you couldn’t answer in any other way than a nod. You could already feel yourself get wet from his words, forcing your hips to remain still.
“Good girl, I knew you would listen for me,” he cooed.
His hands gripped tighter at your hips before he pulled you closer to him along his thigh. You couldn’t stop the gasp turning into a moan that you let out as you felt the friction of his jeans rub over the thin mesh underwear you had on. Jack chucked at the sound before silencing you with a deep kiss. He was relentless as his tongue entered your mouth, one of his hands leaving your hips to grab your hair and pulling you closer against him.
“You like that, huh?” he dragged your hips back before moving them forward again, “going to get yourself off on my thighs, is that how much you missed me?”
You couldn’t do anything but moan as his hands let go of your hips and you kept rocking back and forth. Jack’s hands moved down onto your thighs, lifting the teddy to get a better look at how you rubbed yourself along his thigh. Your head fell back when you moved your hips faster against him. One of Jack’s hands moved to your back to steady you on him while the other reached up to grasp gently at the base of your neck.
When you tilted your head down you opened your mouth, taking his thumb inside. His mouth fell open as you sucked on it the faster you moved your hips.
“There you go, that’s my girl. Gonna cum for me,” he commanded.
You nodded and opened your mouth in a silent moan, both of his hands moving back to grasp at your hips. It came faster than you thought, your body going stiff as Jack kept your hips moving to ride out your high.
“There’s my girl, my good girl,” he cooed.
Your head dipped down, catching his lips in a deep kiss. You loosened his tie, breaking the kiss to pull it over his head, before moving your hands to unbutton his dress shirt as he shrugged off his jacket and shirt when you finally got all the buttons opened.
You moved off his lap to kneel in front of the chair, working at his buckle and zip before quickly moving the jeans down his legs. You looked up at him, making sure to blink up at him a few times before you began to palm him through his boxers.
“Sweetheart, no teasin’,” he moaned and you laughed.
“Okay, okay,” you tapped his thigh to lift his hips again and bring his boxers down as well, letting his cock spring free. You clamped your legs together at the sight, your tongue coming our to wet your lips. You leaned forward, licking a stripe from base to tip as Jack’s head fell back and he let out a groan from the back of his throat.
You stood up, shimmying out of your panties before straddling Jack’s lap again. You lifted your hips while Jack held himself at your entrance, allowing you to lower onto him.
His eyes went darker as he entered you, letting out a deep, throaty groan when he fully bottomed out. You moved to kiss down his jaw and neck, leaving marks along his collar bone, and he gripped tightly to your hips. Jack’s hand lifted to take his hat off and he placed it on your head.
“Hold this for me, sweetheart,” he winked.
You started to rock your hips back and forward against him, watching as his chest heaved from the movement. Jack kept one hand on your hip, the other moving to circle your clit.
“You got one more for me? I know you do,” he panted.
He dipped his head forward, biting on the material that covered your chest to pull it out the way before attaching his mouth to your nipple. This tongue swirling round was enough to tip you over the edge and you threw your head back with your second organism of the night. His hand gripping tight on your hip to keep steady as you rode our your high. Your hands were wrapped in the curls at the top of his head and he looked up at you from your chest through his dark eyelashes, smirking at the way your mouth fell open and eyes squeezed shut.
"That's it, good girl," Jack sighed as you collapsed against his chest, both his hands now returning to your hips.
He knew you would be tired from riding him for so long so he helped your movements by rocking you back and forth. When you managed to sit up again you looked Jack deep in the eyes, smirking as you swirled your hips against him. His eyes fell down to your chest where it was now exposed, watching how they bounced with every movement, before looking back up to you.
"Want you to cum in me Jack, please, it feels so good with you inside me. I missed you so much," you whined.
"I mi-missed you too," he sighed, "want me to fill you up good, is that what you want?"
"Please, Jack."
With those words and the way you looked at him, he fell apart under you. His eyebrows pulled together as he squeezed his eyes shut, mouth hanging open as the moans of your name left his mouth. His fingers dug deeper into your hips and you watched as the vein on his neck pulsed with each moan. With a few more thrusts you collapsed against him, his hands wrapping around your body as he placed a kiss to your forehead.
"Was that worth the wait?" He chuckled after a few moments.
"God, yes," you laughed back, "but don't think I'm done with you yet..."
"Yes, ma'am," he said, lifting you off him and standing up before throwing you over his shoulder, "got to make you cum for all those times you missed while I was away."
With a playful slap of your ass, Jack carried you to the bedroom where he definitely made up for the week he was away.

CW: Angst, angst, angst.
Word count: 2916
Nina sighed as she snuggled her pillow. It sucked watching Sidney shake hands in the handshake line, the disappointing end to a good season. She sniffled as she watched Sidney stoically shake hands with the Flyers, disappointment and anger on his face.
This season, the Penguins had drawn the Islanders in the divisional semi-finals. After a hard-fought seven game series, the Pens had finally got past the Isles. However, the Flyers, surprisingly, made it past the Canes and the Battle of Pennsylvania was on. Unlike 2018, the Flyers won this time, in five games. Nina put her phone on vibrate, just in case Sidney called her.
However, Sidney didn’t call that night or for a fucking week. Nina was understanding at first but understanding turned into annoyance when pictures were posted of Sidney golfing with Kasperi, Brandon, and a couple of the single players. Nina just was glad she had the foresight to limit comments on her IG to approved commenters because she had no interest in people asking questions about him.
Scrolling her phone, Nina read a text from Marisa: has he called u yet?
No, Nina simply responded. She wasn’t going to call him first either. Let him have his bitch fit and golf. He didnt tell me he was going to go do that n im not his wife.
Nina’s phone rang and she answered. “Yes, Marisa?”
“Oh, Nina, he’s a douchebag. I can ask Kevin to slash him a couple of times next season,” Marisa commiserated.
Nina replied, “He hasn’t called me or texted me since that night. I haven’t tried to call him since Sunday because fuck that. I know he got his superstitions and everything but, no. Hell no.”
“I agree. Have you been out?”
Nina shook her head before saying, “I was finishing finals so I haven’t been out. Karesha told me we’re going out this coming Friday and, you know I don’t party like that but I will.”
“Give him something to miss,” Marisa advised.
Nina scoffed, “Something to miss? He’s lucky if I let him talk to me whenever he gets back.”
**
Sid groaned as he turned in his bed in Cole Harbour. He was so fucking pissed about the way the season ended; they finally got past the Isles only to get tripped up by fucking Giroux and his Flyers. Fucking Hart was a damn brick wall and fuck, Sidney could sense that his time in the game was coming to a swift close soon. For the past week and in a half, he had been in a funky snit, annoyed and needing to be away after golfing with the boys.
At the same time, he felt like shit. Sidney knew he shouldn’t have avoided Nina’s call; he was still raw from the loss and he didn’t want to expose Nina to that side. But, she hadn’t called or texted him since and Sidney didn’t know how to break the silence that he had created. Picking up his phone, Sidney blinked when he saw all of the messages on his lock screen. The team’s group chat had been busy last night.
Unlocking his phone, Sidney’s eyes bulged when he saw the messages. There were pictures of Nina out, with one of her friends, wearing a dress that was barely there. Her hair was falling straight over her shoulders but what really got Sidney’s attention was the fact that there were guys all around her. Then Nate sent a text; i guess ur single now. Told u not to go home without talking to her
“I’m a fuck up,” Sidney moaned.
“Yup, you are.”
Sidney blinked as he looked at his phone. He managed to call Tanger and Tanger didn’t look pleased.
“Sid, we’ve been friends for a long time but, I didn’t think you were this stupid,” Tanger scolded. “Really?”
“You know with the way the season ended,” Sidney began before Tanger cut him off.
“Nina knows that. She respects that. Nina’s not clingy or needy like some of the other girls. But, Cath told me you haven’t even called or texted her? Wow, Sid, wow.”
Sidney blushed as he listened to one of his closest friends berate him. Tanger was right. But how was he going to even apologize without looking like a bigger dummy?
“Well, you’re already acting like a dummy, Sid, so you might as well look like a bigger dummy,” Tanger snarked. “Nina isn’t like the other girls. She doesn’t need you.”
Sid gritted his teeth at that statement, especially since he knew that it was very true.
Sidney heard French yelling in the background before Tanger stated, “Cath thinks that despite being so good at hockey, you suck at being a person. And you made Nina cry when Cath last talked to her.”
Sidney wanted to slap himself. He made his pretty girl cry. “Fuck,” he yelled.
“Yeah, fuck. Fix it, Sid, instead of fucking yourself over forever.”
Sidney scrolled his phone after Tanger hung up on him. It looked like he was flying into Pittsburgh asap.
**
Nina sighed as she padded in her apartment. Last night was fun, going out with Karesha. They had just gone out to dinner, a jazz lounge, then ended the night at a rooftop bar. Nina knew people had been taking pictures of her all night and that people were wondering where Sidney was but that wasn’t her problem. There had been plenty of guys willing to take her home but Nina wasn’t interested in any of them either. She still wanted Sidney but fuck him too.
Her doorbell rang and Nina looked at the panel. It was Sidney with a pastry box and a wide grin on his face. Nina opened the door with a smile.
“Hi, pretty girl-”
Then she slammed it in his face, her grin growing wider as she loudly locked the door. Just like a man, coming back right when they realized she was getting attention from other men.
“Go away, Crosby, unless you want attention because you’re knocking on my door,” Nina yelled from the inside. Putting her earpods in, Nina cleaned her apartment for the umpteenth time, singing along.
Sidney gritted his teeth outside of Nina’s apartment. He was expecting her to let him in, yell at him, then he would charm his way back in. He didn’t expect to get the door slammed in his face and being told to leave. His desire not to gain extra attention was the only reason he left.
Nina sighed when she heard Sidney stomp away. Her anger was starting to change to sadness, again. She had hoped this would be different but Sidney was just like every other man; ain’t shit at the end of the day.
**
“Take him for all his cash, girl. Then tell him, maybe I'll take you back.”
Nina rolled her eyes as she listened to Jamila. “For someone so wealthy, you sure like to talk about taking men for their cash.”
“It’s like this; men figure out their self-worth by how big their dick is, how many women they fuck, and how much money they have. You don’t want to go to jail so you can’t cut his dick off. So, fleece him and then dump him for good,” Jamila advised.
Nina sighed and Jamila groaned. “Oh my God, please don’t tell me you miss this dumbass. Dude didn’t contact you after losing in their playoffs! He ignored your call! He only contacted you in person after you and ‘Resha went out! The dick can’t be that good!”
Nina sighed as she listened to Jamila. Over the past couple of days, there had been Edible Arrangement deliveries, lunch bought for the staff, cards proclaiming that he was dumb as hell and sorry for being an idiot. And Nina still didn’t respond. No calls, no texts, Nina was still upset and feeling raw.
“Jamila.. Glass houses remember?”
Jamila sighed over the phone. She didn’t really have that much space to talk but she persisted, “You let him off easy, he’s going to walk all over you forever. I know I’m a fuck up but I never let a man walk all over me. Don’t let Mayo Boy, no, he’s Miracle Whip because that shit is disgusting and he hurt you. Don’t let Miracle Whip think he can apologize a couple times and you’ll come running back.”
“I haven’t made any decisions yet. Plus, I’m going away with Desi, Sio, Lauren, and Kim to Phuket. You know, that trip you helped plan but you can’t go on now,” Nina said as she logged into her workstation. Work had become a refuge of sorts. Everyone was pretty much professional, no one brought up anyone’s personal life. It was all about work and the patients and it made Nina happy. “I gotta go, I have a patient at 8:30.”
“Bye girl, and remember what I said,” Jamila replied.
“Byeeee”
Nina hung up and pulled her earpods out of her ears. It was time to focus on another day of work. Before Nina realized it, it was lunch time. Rubbing her temples, she sighed as she thought about lunch. Grabbing her purse and her keys, Nina made her way out of her office. “Rita, I’m going to get lunch,” Nina called out to the receptionist.
However, as soon as she left, Nina saw the infamous Range Rover in the parking lot and she closed her eyes. She wasn’t in the mood and it looked like it was going to get embarrassing for Sidney.
Luckily, it wasn’t Sidney who came out but someone totally different. Nina let out a breath she was holding and walked to her car. Her vacation was coming up in three days and she would be away for two and a half weeks. Sidney would probably leave her alone once he realized she was out of the country. Nina was sure of it, he had to have been icing her out to dump her anyway for the offseason.
**
“Still no call?”
Sidney sighed as Geno plopped in the chair across from his. He had put on his best smile today for Nikita’s birthday but he was feeling the strain.
“None,” he finally replied. Sidney felt so tired and such a fool. The best thing in his life had slipped out of his fingers and it was all his fault.
Geno snickered as Anna strolled in, holding a box. “Zhenya,” she asked before rolling her eyes at Sidney.
“Da,” Geno replied.
Anna started speaking rapid fire Russian, too fast for Sidney to even attempt to keep up. Geno started to laugh when Anna pointed to Sidney before pointing to the box. Then Anna abruptly turned on her heel and left the room.
Confused, Sidney asked, “What was that?”
Anna hadn’t been talking to him and Sidney felt like he was part of the subject of that conversation. Geno chuckled before replying, “Anna said that it’s a shame Nina isn’t here but she made sure to at least have a gift sent for Nikita before going to Thailand.”
Geno didn’t add the rest, which was Anna saying Nina had better manners than his captain, to at least send a gift that she didn’t have to send, before disappearing. He wasn’t interested in kicking his captain when he was down.
Sidney winced. Part of him felt a bit happy that Nina was somewhere, having fun but it was without him so it was his fault.
“Oh, look at this, Nina’s riding elephant,” Geno crowed as he looked at instagram. Sidney looked at the picture. Nina was riding an elephant, making some kind of triangle symbol with her hands. Then he looked at the comments and the first one said: look at you, dropping baggage and having fun.
Geno snickered before saying, “Poor Sid.”
“Not supportive, Geno,” Sidney remarked, closing his eyes.
There was a pause before Geno replied, “Maybe donate money to things Nina likes. Maybe she’ll talk to you when she gets back.”
**
Sidney checked his phone for what seemed like the umpteenth time. “Cros, she’s not going to text you.”
Sidney rolled his eyes at Tazer’s annoyed tone. Webs, Pricey, and Tanger laughed at him. They were all in Toronto together for a team Canada thing but that was over and they were out for drinks.
“Heard you fucked up, badly,” Webs stated in a dry tone. “When in doubt, always apologize first and buy the woman her favorite thing second.”
“Nina’s not big on buying stuff,” Sidney absentmindedly replied. Getting Nina to splurge on herself was like going to the dentist. It wasn’t fun.
One thing Sidney did realize from off and on monitoring Nina's Instagram was that she was big on helping out at the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, she liked volunteering at the Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh, and every year, she volunteered at a pop-up shop for girls who wanted to go to prom but couldn’t afford it.
Sidney wrote five figure checks to each organization, in Nina’s name, no strings attached. Sidney was serious about trying to get his pretty girl back and he knew that Nina was serious about volunteering and giving back. Now, he was just waiting to see Nina’s reaction. If Nina told him thanks but it was over, Sidney would be upset but he could accept it.
There were no texts that night but that morning, Sidney woke up to a text from Nina. It was a simple thank you but it meant more than anything to Sidney at that moment.
**
Nina sighed as she looked at the thank you cards that had been waiting for her when she returned home. This was so out of the ordinary, she had to text Sidney when she saw them. It was more meaningful than gifts.
The trip to Phuket had been amazing but there had been a tinge of sadness for Nina. She enjoyed riding the elephants, experiencing the beaches, going diving, everything. It was truly the vacation she had been waiting to have, after Covid and then switching jobs had pushed everything back. Despite her best efforts, Nina missed Sidney. She missed that dumbass hockey player, he had wormed into her heart that easily. She missed him and was still supremely angry at him. Nina felt like the biggest dumbass on earth. As she waited for him to show up at her place, she wanted to bang her head into the wall. I fucked up by dating him, Nina said to herself.
Her doorbell rung and Nina opened the door. It was Sidney, hands in his pockets, no gifts this time. He ached to bring her into his arms but Sidney wouldn’t touch Nina unless she gave him permission.
There was a stony silence after Sidney closed the door, neither willing to say the first word. Nina tried to summon some of the anger she had but all that was left was pain and sadness. Before she even realized, a couple tears had slipped. Sidney saw them and his composure completely crumbled. He did the one thing he swore he would never do; he made his pretty girl cry.
Nina hiccupped as Sidney pulled her into his arms. He just held her as she cried. “Fuck you, Sidney Crosby. I felt like you were icing me out before dumping me. Fuck you, you fucking jagoff.”
“I-I should have said something but I was so pissed and I didn’t want to lash out at you. Then it just snowballed,” Sidney said, heartbreaking as Nina sniffled.
“You’re such a fucking dumbass. I don’t even know why I’m even considering taking you back.”
Sidney said, “I just didn’t want to burden you with everything I go through at the end of the season, especially when it’s disappointing.”
“Fuck that, Sidney.” Nina glared up at him, the big dummy. “Communication, it means that if you say you’re in a relationship, you communicate. You should have even sent a text, ‘I’m pissed as fuck, going golfing with the boys, be back soon’ or even just periodically texted those stupid hi and good morning beautiful texts. How would you feel if I didn’t call or text you and went away?”
Sidney paused as he considered Nina’s point. He was unhappy he didn’t know that Nina had gone away without telling him but he couldn’t say anything now. “Your face says it all, Crosby,” Nina snarked.
“I’m sorry, Nina,” Sidney said, deep from his heart.
Nina sighed, she could tell he was truly sorry. “Those donations… they were a total surprise. They all needed the money and are dear to me. But the Pittsburgh Prom Dress giveaway, we always need more funds since it doesn’t get as many donations around the year. Your donation not only allowed us to provide more dresses this prom season, it also allowed us to expand our collection so that we could provide suits as well as dresses. Thank you, Sidney.”
“You’re welcome,” he sincerely replied.
Keeping her cheek on his chest, Nina said, “I’m dumb because I really am considering taking you back. But don’t ever do that again.”
Pulling away a bit, Nina looked deep into Sidney’s eyes. “I’m serious. I don’t think I’m clingy, I don’t require much, but don’t even do that again. I don’t need you to call me everyday but don’t ever ignore me like that again, Sidney.”
“I won’t, I swear,” Sidney promised, happy that his pretty girl was talking to him again.

SAUDADE
( 𝐧 . ) a nostalgic longing to be near again to something or someone that is distant , or that has been loved and then lost ; “ the love that remains ”
Tumblr media
⠀"tooru? i've tried calling you for almost an hour now... what are you still doing here?" the janitor had allowed you an entrance inside seijoh, your light jacket pressed against your body as you scuffled through the gym doors, your tongue clicking as you eyed a certain brunette captain serving his god-knows-how-many time of deadly top-spin serves.
⠀his eyes darted in your direction the moment your voice filled the echoey gym walls, your concerned tone ringing back and forth as his brown irises glared at you through narrow eyelids. a nervous lump grew in your throat, your stomach understanding the regret in the decision you made. oikawa was in one of his moods again; you should've known better than to barge in during his serving practice.
⠀still, even with your boyfriend acting the way he was - without saying a single word - there was no use in just leaving aoba johsai as quickly as you arrived. you came to check on tooru, and that was exactly what you were going to do. "it's late, tooru. we still have school tomorrow! you need your rest, please give yourself a break, it'll do more harm than good for you."
⠀"you say that every time, y/n." oikawa rolled his eyes as he bent down to grab a nearby volleyball rolling at his feet, palming it in his right hand and pointing it at the net. his focus was intent - you knew exactly what he was doing. for the past couple of weeks, the captain focused his practice on serving, locking in and applying all of his power to one spot on the court only. it was a feat not many could accomplish, but tooru was scarily coming close to mastering such a challenge. it required extra practice, of course, but certainly not to this extent.
⠀"as your girlfriend and as the manager of the aoba johsai volleyball team, i'm worried about you, you know?" taking a deep, brave breath, you stepped further into the gym, your footsteps creating more echoes for the two of you to listen to as you approached the sweat-covered third year, who had paused his serving practice to watch you come to him. his lips were pursed - and not in a way that sent your heart aflutter. oikawa hated when you disturbed him and tried talking him out of practicing; he'd give any reason and excuse to avoid it.
⠀"just one more serve, alright? then you can drag me out, whatever. i don't really want to listen to your self-health lectures right now." his free hand rested on his hips, the volleyball now resting between his waist and underneath his arm, interrupting you as your mouth opened to say something more. you had grown accustomed to tooru's mood swings as time went on; he didn't mean much by it, and you understood his position. his passion towards the sport was what originally captivated you towards the captain in the first place. you weren't exactly part of his fanclub, per se, but you sure as hell were close enough as a member. the only difference between you and the other girls was that you were lucky enough to snag the job as the volleyball club manager.
⠀"one serve, tooru." your arms crossed as you bit back his nasty glare with one of your own. most of the time, it worked. "push your luck and i'll call iwaizumi here to drag you out of the gym himself." you and hajime were always a tag team whenever it came to putting an iron fist down on tooru, though the stubborn male usually only listened to iwa, since he was the one who packed a nasty punch. oikawa did listen to you occasionally, just not as much as you would've liked.
⠀he rolled his eyes and turned away from you in place of a reply, holding the ball out in front of him. he was silent, and so were you. this was his routine for practice, all of his dirty talk could wait for the matches. you moved to his sports bag, sighing to yourself as you saw his cellphone plopped on top of his club jacket like a cherry on top. he must've had his ringer off, which would explain why he didn't pick up any of your calls. crossing your arms lightly over your chest, you watched with intent eyes as your boyfriend tossed his ball into the air, his gaze directly focused on nothing else but the flying object. he began his standard approach, your breath held as the gym exploded with the sound of his palm coming in contact with the volleyball. your eyes could hardly follow its path; you blinked once, and the ball was already bouncing against the wall.
⠀"damn, another fluke." you were about to compliment tooru's killer serve before you listened to him reprimand himself - you could tell this wasn't the first time he scolded himself for a mistake only he could identify. you noticed him walking to grab another ball, but you ran out to him, kicking his targeted ball out of reach before looking up at him and pressing a finger to his chest lightly.
⠀"enough, tooru. you promised me only one more serve. you've done that already, pack up so we can leave already. you have tomorrow to continue."
⠀"what the hell, y/n? i was just going to-"
⠀you knew him way too well to believe his next lie. "don't even try and say you were going to start picking up volleyballs. i see that look in your eyes, as clear as a cloudless day. you were intent on serving again, tooru; you can't lie to me. you-"
⠀"could you just stop already? who are you, my mother?" he clenched his jaw as he swatted your finger away from his chest, storming away from you as he bent down to pick up another ball, just right behind the boundary line. "i know you care, y/n. you make that very clear. but i can take care of myself, okay? just go home."
⠀"tooru-"
⠀"go, y/n."
⠀oh hell no you weren't.
⠀not without him leaving too.
⠀you turned the corner and pretended to leave seijoh, your face faking its exasperation. leaning against the wall right outside of the gym doors, you reached into your front pocket, your phone warm in your hand. unlocking the screen and searching through your contacts, you tapped the call button for the one person that had the ability to drag oikawa out of the gymnasium.
⠀"hello?"
⠀"iwa! thank goodness you answered."
⠀"it's so late, y/n. do you need help burying a body or something?"
⠀"i wish. i hope this isn't too much to ask, but could you please come to seijoh? tooru refuses to stop practicing, and he won't listen to me."
⠀"god, again?" a sigh could be heard from the other line. "yeah, i'll be right there. open the door for me, will you?"
⠀"thank you so much, iwa. i'll be at the door."
⠀you hung up the call, your eyes gazing at the doors as you waited for your friend to appear. you bit down on the side of your cheek and listened to every sound of contact tooru made with every serve. nothing could get him out of his moods - at least, not anything verbal. you'd need physical force to actually get him to step out of the gym doors. hence, why you needed hajime here.
⠀you heard a knock at the door a few minutes later, and you just about sprinted, a gracious smile stretched upon your lips as you allowed iwaizumi into the school. he looked like he rolled out of bed, his mouth in his natrual scowl. when his eyes laid upon you, his glare softened when he looked at your smile. "alright, where is he?"
⠀"in the gym, where he always is."
⠀"allow me." rolling up his own sleeves, the spiky-haired ace marched through the gym doors with you in line behind him, peering over him to look at oikawa's face the moment he was in the setter's line of vision.
⠀"oh, it's iwa. i'm not surprised, y/n is too stubborn to listen to me."
⠀"you're one to talk, shittykawa. don't you know what time it is?" taking out his phone and shaking it to make a point, he wasted no time in walking towards the brunette. you were nervous; usually oikawa would falter at the sight of hajime alone, but tonight seemed to be different. instead of giving in, he merely gave his new company a dirty glare. "go home already. it's late, we have school tomorrow, and the playoffs are soon. you're just going to tire yourself out, and i'll beat your ass if we don't face the other teams at our best." he then chuckled. "i've pulled you out of here myself multiple times, don't think i won't do it again."
⠀oikawa turned his icy stare at you, before glancing back at hajime with a bored yawn. "fine, fine," he retorted, throwing his calloused hands up in mock surrender, "you win, y/n. happy? i'm leaving the gym now, so don't be any more pushy than you have been tonight. it's giving me a headache."
⠀those words hurt more than you thought they would, tooru antagonizing the fact that you were only trying to care for him. your eyes rested at your feet, letting your hair rest in front of your face as you listened to tooru's volleyball shoes walk across the gym. you could hear iwa's as well; the two of them were picking up the volleyballs around the court, but your legs were in no position to help, not with how fragile they felt.
⠀you looked up on time to see oikawa slinging his bag over his shoulder, his nasty little glare plastered all over his face as he began to walk out of the gym. "goodnight," was the only thing he muttered as he brushed against your shoulder with his own on his way out. your head whirled around as you watched your boyfriend walk away without another word. you didn't have it in you to reply.
⠀"are you sure you two are in a relationship?" you jumped at iwa's voice, just noticing him standing beside you. "he didn't even bother asking to drive you home. some boyfriend he is."
⠀"ah, don't be like that, iwa." you forced yourself to laugh at the situation in a desperate attempt to make light of it, but the effort was futile, and utterly pathetic. "tooru's a good boyfriend! he just gets in his moods sometimes, but it happens to the best of us. nothing i can't handle. after a good night's rest, i'm sure he'll be back to normal in no time."
⠀"i hope you're right." he turned to face you, peering down at you before placing both of his hands in his pockets. "do you need a ride home? i know you live close by, but it's gotten colder now, and we can't have our manager catching a cold on us."
⠀this time a real laugh left your system, shrugging your shoulders as you looked to the outside, before back at hajime. he looked pretty serious, despite looking fatigued. "are you sure, iwa? i don't want to bother you with it."
⠀"nonsense." he shook his head. "since your boyfriend couldn't do his job in taking care of you, i'll just drive you home tonight. okay?"
⠀your heart dropped at his words.
⠀your boyfriend couldn't do his job in taking care of you.
⠀"... yeah, okay."

*please read bold text at the top !
**(since i’m having to make this blog because of tumblr... i’ll be sending out dm’s from this blog now and hope that i don’t run into the same issue again. ALSO if you had replied to any dm’s i sent out please re-send any responses to this blog instead because i seriously can’t open anything on his first blog! i will try to go through those that liked this post on his other blog and send plotting dm’s but if i don’t send you one within an hour PLEASE dm me about it because i probably missed you!)
hello! i want to start this off by saying congratulations on the official opening!! i’m really excited to be here and have this (possible) mess of a muse here as well! i’m still working on a whole plot page for jaejin but i do have his profile and bio done. i’ll also list some basic stuff below in case anyone doesn’t feel like reading his whole bio (i like to try and make things easier for others as much as possible when it comes to my muses so they don’t have to try and figure out the main things that should be known ^^). if anyone would like to plot after reading what’s listed below, feel free to just like this post and i will squirm my way into your dm’s! i also have discord and twitter if anyone prefers to plot on either of those so if you’d like that just shoot me a simple dm asking for it and i’ll give them to you!
just the basics/need to know info:
his name is choi jaejin aka the flame
he’s currently 30 years old (international age)
his parents are the current King and Queen of Hearts.
since his premade is ‘the flame’ he’s dead set on sitting on the throne and also has made it his task to take the Queen down.
he most likely got his greed and scheming ways by growing up and seeing how the Queen is - he doesn’t think she’s fit to be Queen and feels as if it’s time for her to step down from the throne.
he has three younger siblings: the rose, the thorn ( choi eunae ) & the hidden ( ahn nanseolheon)
even though he has siblings and should be the perfect ‘brotherly figure’ towards them, care for them and be there for them...well, that’s just not in his plans and probably never will be. since his siblings also have a chance at the throne, jaein thinks of them as threats to his plans of being the one who takes over the throne and will do anything he can in order to bring them (or anyone else) who gets in the way of these plans.
he has this whole two-faced thing going on, basically wearing a mask to cover up his true intentions. when he’s around his siblings/family and others he will act as if he’s actually this caring prince who will listen to you and your concerns, however, behind that façade he’s secretly scheming in his head and gathering as much intel as he can to use against you.
there’s possibly only one person he truly trusts out there and that would be his knight, the one who is helping jaein achieve this whole scheme he has up his sleeve revolving around both the throne and the Queen of hearts. (possible connection for him....maybe?)
when it was revealed that the King had another child, and she was brought in, jaejin of course wasn’t pleased about this new addition to the family. in fact, since the moment they first met, he began planning on how he would handle this new ‘threat’.
he mostly wears comfortable clothing and rarely styles his hair unless there are events such as parties, in which case he will dress up of course.
has a motorcycle that he usually prefers to drive (especially out at night when he just wants some fresh air)
he’s someone who is always on time and has never once been late to a single event that was mandatory for him to be at.
it’s fairly hard to get any sort of reaction out of him (such as making him mad) and usually is more on the ‘calm’ side even if someone dares to insult him or act rudely to him in any way. (if anyone can even manage to get him flustered later on down the line i’ll reward you with a gold star because this man is like a brick wall OTL)
jaejin has spent the years gaining the thorn’s trust, acting as if he truly cares about her and her worries, but of course it was always his way to easily gather information on what she wanted, keeping the saying “keep your friends close but your enemies closer.” in mind. (though in another world, if they weren’t from royal families and weren’t after the throne, he would most likely have been the supportive older brother while actually meaning the things he says to her. i already hate him even just for how he really does treat her/pretends to care for her.)
he’s very cautious around others, of course because he doesn’t trust what their true intentions are and also sees pretty much everyone as a threat to his plans, and is pretty observant when it comes to people and his surroundings.
he’s single, and probably will always be because who wants to be with someone who is greedy af and is constantly scheming behind other’s backs?
basically, in the end, jaejin can’t be trusted and is like the devil in disguise but seems like he’s a trustworthy prince to those who actually fall for this whole act he puts on.
(i think this is basically all?? it got longer than i thought or even planned but yeah... any of the information listed above could potentially be used to help with plotting or even be made into plots/connections for now until i can actually get his plots page done, which will either be tomorrow or friday depending on how tired i am from work. ;;)

“He has been doing better?” I asked perplex from the unexpected news from Mrs. Climdriff. Christopher in fact has gotten better in his history class.
“So, you two have been doing these tutor lessons for now 2 weeks and his test was...flawless. All points achieved and even the bonus question. What is your secret?” She asked and my cheeks started to get the darkest shade of red, if she knew what happened to get these points.
“O-Oh, uhm I think I just had luck with him?” She stared into my eyes, trying to squeeze the truth out of me. I quickly looked to the ground to not get any kind of information out. She stopped and just sighed out loud.
“What I wanted to ask you is that he still needs your help in History, his class will start in 6 minutes. In room 228. You are already dismissed from your next class.” She still seemed like the first time. Completely out of breath and stressed.
My thoughts were still on the first lesson and the other lessons. The library was all ours, not one person disturbing us. I bit my lip, remembering every touch, every kiss of his. She was still observing me and waited for my reply.
“Okay, I will do it.” I answered not really knowing if I should do it, but what could go wrong? In classroom full of his classmates, he would never ever try to do anything.
With the smile she had put on, I stood up and have gotten out. As I was walking to the classroom, I had my thoughts on all of the lessons we already had. The times we were actually studying or even looking at the book. I wondered how he managed to get a better grade, with his disgust in being at the library every single day for now 2 weeks. It didn’t add up to me. I spot 228 and knocked on. Mr. Porter opened the door and greeted me, what I noticed is the whole classroom is empty. I remembered the 10 minute break that was in between the lessons.
“Hello...?” He asked, smiling at me.
“Mrs. Climdriff sent me to-”
“Ah, You have to be Christopher’s tutor... I planned to watch a documentation today. As for the subject of the history of the modern world and Australia. Maybe you can just sit next to Christopher and write some notes with him.” As he was explaining the room started to fill and students started to sit down. Some familiar faces greeting me and smiling at me, but at the one face that was smirking at me my heartbeat increased drastically.
Tumblr media
Mr. Porter walked up to the light switch, dimming the brightness and pulled down the blinds. The movie title appeared as the class started to get quieter. Christopher was starring at me with the most intense look he has ever given me. I side-eyed him but went out to get my notebook and pen out, trying my best to get the most information out of this movie. The narrators voice explained about the topic, the first notes getting on the book.
Then I felt his rough and big hand on my thigh, feeling the fingers slowly caressing my soft flesh. I jumped up a little and he smiled at my shock. Fortunately Christopher was seated in the last row, so no one could have any eye on me or the actions he was doing.
“Stop being so tense or you will not let you cum.” He came down to my ear and whispered. His hand slid up my thighs with his fingers creeping to my inner thigh. Making me shiver and close my mouth with my hand to not let out any kind of sound. I had to pull myself together not to make a sound. Not a groan, not a whimper, not a loud gasp to show what he was doing down there.
"Aw, are you getting wet?" He smiled like nothing was wrong, his dimples sticking out and his jawline was harder than usual.
“N-Not even, you will have to try harder than t-that.”His hand speeded up a little and wandered up quickly. My underwear was wet and my clit was pulsating. His middle finger crept into me and I could not pull myself together anymore. Chan saw my current state of desperation and stood up to get to Mr. Porter, I was scared of what will happen now and wiggled into my seat.
Chan was talking to him with a little time and Mr. Porter was side eyeing me from across the classroom. He smiled and nodded to Chan. He walked up to me and dragged me out of my chair. I couldn’t say or ask anything before he opened the door.
“I needed to get you out of there, I told him that you feel sick and that you need some fresh air.”
“W-Why? I am completely fine.”
“Because I have to be inside you, right now.”
He pulled me into the boys' toilet and pushed me into the disabled toilet. Throwing me against the wall and pressing my back to it. I could not tell you how wet I was at this point of teasing he has been doing to me and I needed to him.
“Do you think you deserve it?” He asked and snuggled his nose against my cheek, giving my body a huge shiver running up and down. How even could I reply to such a question? If I say yes, he will probably do anything but what I mostly need and leave me as horny as I was. If said no then he would do the same as well.
“Y-Yes, Daddy.” I whispered out, his legs keeping my thighs apart and my walls clenching around nothing. I could not let my moans trapped in me anymore and let all of the sounds out to show him how desperate and needy i was right now.
“If you make one single sound, I will stuff your fucking mouth.” Chan gave me a sly smile and held my face in his firm grip. His hard eyes stared at me in the most exhilarating way possible. I had to pull myself together when Chan turned me around and with a simple movement brought my face to the wall. His long fingers found themselves under my school skirt and tore it off to reveal my panties.
He was hectic and left no time to rethink anything, head empty expect for the high and frustrating sex-drive that will one day be the death of me. He ripped my undies apart and with the torn apart fabric, he chuckled at my flinch of the sudden loud sound.
He was fumbling around his belt. He finally opened his zipper and positioned himself in front of me. His hands stuck on my hips and sinking in my flesh, instantly leaving harsh and vibrant marks. He filled me up and I was glad that he held me up because of my weak knees completely giving up on me. My mouth hung open with my hands covering them to not let any moans out.
"Ah fuck, how can you still be so fucking tight?" He groaned out. I had to push myself away from the painfully sweet sensation of him filling me up completely and harshly.
"Ngh- Fu-Fuck!" I squealed out in a long stretched out moan. His tip reaching a place where I never knew that ever existed. He rolled his hips into my throbbing wetness and pulled my hair to his back.
He thrusted hard into me and the sound of skin clapping was louder than ever before through the echo of the bathroom. I clenched around him and after the small amount of time I could feel my orgasm creeping up faster and faster. The clenching made Chan groan sensually, his hand pulling the chunks of hair even harder.
"Will you cum?" He chuckled and threw his head back, lost himself in the pleasure. The building up of my orgasm was too much mixed with his hand on my hip and the other on my throat.
"Y-Yes, Dad-Daddy." I felt my whole body shake and my mouth opening my widely to let out my moans, but his hand quickly covered my mouth and he spilled himself inside of me, feeling his seeds spreading out and feeling the twitching got me orgasm harder and longer than ever before. I couldn't help but notice the wetness and shortly after I heard Chan chuckle.
"You squirted...Woah." He was in disbelief and admiration. I couldn't react to it completely worn out and tired of this amount of pounding and pleasure.
"I'll make you do that again."

“Ashton, why does your fridge say ‘stop being an idiot’?” Ashton glanced over to where Luke was staring at the fridge door in mild amusement.
“Oh, that’s just Calum - ignore him. I usually do” Ashton rolled his eyes as a picture fell off the wall as he finished speaking, the thud causing Luke to spin around, eyes wide.
“What was that?”
“I just brushed past the picture and knocked it off, that’s all.”
Luke narrowed his eyes at Ashton, the older man chuckling as he hung the picture back up.
“Come on, let’s watch this damn movie you don’t shut up about.”
Why did you tell Luke to ignore me
The question was on Ashton’s fridge the next morning, the letters a mishmash of colours and cases. Ashton pinched the bridge of his nose as he read it - only he would get a self conscious ghost living in his house.
“Calum, are you here?”
A cupboard door opened and a mug floated down onto the counter a few feet away from him - Ashton took that as a yes and shoved a pod into his coffee machine before grabbing the mug and pushing the button.
“I was only messing with you, Cal. Besides, you’re my ghost, it has nothing to do with Luke.”
Ashton watched as the letters on the fridge rearranged themselves, sipping on his coffee and humming at the bitterness dancing on his tongue.
Do you not want your friends to know about me
Ashton groaned internally, how could he explain this to his house ghost without offending him?
“I think they’d be pretty freaked out if they knew I lived with a ghost. You saw Luke’s reaction to you knocking that picture off the wall. Besides, I like keeping you a secret, you’re mine.”
It’s pretty hard for me to be yours when you’ve never even seen me
Ashton had in fact seen Calum. Or at least a photo of Calum.
–
He hadn’t been in the house more than a month when he started to realise that things kept happening. A photo moved slightly, the couch not being quite as tidy as he’d left it. The day Ashton had realised he actually had a ghost, he’d come home to find a new photo of him and Luke floating in midair.
“Um, hello?”
The photograph was dropped hastily, as though Ashton had scared the ghost he evidently had living in his house. After that, Ashton started talking to the ghost, even though he never got a reply aside from the odd knock on a table or a wall. It was while he was at a store grabbing something for dinner that he saw the fridge magnets. He grabbed all of the packets they had and drove home with a grin on his face.
“So, I bought you these today,” Ashton held out the magnets towards where he hoped his ghost was, “I thought maybe you could try talking back to me?”
Ashton felt a small whoosh of air as the ghost moved around the kitchen and he tore open the first packet, dumping the contents into a drawer he never used. Almost immediately the letters started floating from the drawer towards his fridge and Ashton watched as the ghost arranged the letters into a sentence.
Hello Ashton
“Hello, ghost. Oh - what’s your name? It feels weird calling you ‘ghost’.”
The letters arranged themselves once again.
My name is Calum
“Nice to finally know your name, Calum. How was your day?”
I’m a ghost Ashton
The brunette snorted as he watched the letters form another sentence.
Boring thank u for asking
Ashton laughed before spending the next few hours conversing with his ghost - with Calum - via fridge magnets. Calum had told him his full name after Ashton insisted upon knowing it.
“If you ever piss me off, I need to know what to call you.”
Calum Hood
It lingered there for a few seconds before ‘Hood’ was moved over.
Calum Thomas Hood
Ashton turned it over in his mind. Why did that name sound so familiar to him? He thought nothing more of it until he was at work a few days later.
STILL NO SIGN OF MISSING MAN
Police are still searching for Calum Thomas Hood, 24, who disappeared from his home 6 months ago. They’re urging anyone who may know anything about his disappearance to come forward.
Attached to the article had been a photo of the missing man, and Ashton knew it was his Calum. (He’d later cut the photograph out of the newspaper and taped it to the bottom of his desk drawer where no one would find it.) When he’d got home from work that day, Ashton had asked Calum how he’d died.
Not sure don’t remember
Ashton had debated telling the police that he knew exactly where Calum Thomas Hood - or at least his soul - was. He’d told Calum this one evening and a single word had appeared on his fridge.
Crazy
–
Calum was bored.
Sure, being a ghost meant that he could walk through walls and move things with his mind, but being bound to one place had its drawbacks. There were only so many times you could move things around waiting to see how long it took Ashton to find them before you’d moved everything.
(He’d even tried to swap all the furniture in Ashton’s bedroom with all the furniture in his living room, but Ashton had come home earlier than Calum had anticipated and made him put it all back to normal without any help. Moving things with your mind was tiring.
“You’re a ghost, Cal, how can you get tired?”
Calum had used all of the ‘i’s and the ‘l’s to make a middle finger on Ashton’s fridge door.)
Calum thought that Ashton could sense how restless he was. Ashton seemed to find new reasons to work from home during the day so Calum wasn’t by himself. Not that they could really interact unless Ashton was in the kitchen. They’d tried using a pen and some paper once, but Calum’s ghostly abilities didn’t seem to extend to pens. He couldn’t seem to get the pressure right to actually leave ink on the paper. Ashton had laughed at him before being met with a cushion to the face.
Calum missed being alive. He missed being able to go outside. He missed coffee. He missed being able to pet dogs.
Most of all, he was frustrated that he couldn’t remember how he’d even become a ghost. At night while Ashton was asleep, Calum tried to remember what had happened. (There wasn’t much else to do while your best friend was sleeping.) He’d get so far into the memory and then something would tug him back into the present moment. It was disconcerting. Calum could sense that he was close to finding out the truth, but something was stopping him. He’d tried to explain it to Ashton but ran out of letters and gave up. He’d debated asking the other man to buy more, but had resigned himself to the fact that it just wasn’t worth it. Ashton wasn’t going to be able to help him figure out what had happened - it was something he needed to figure out for himself.
–
“Hey Cal, how do you feel about me throwing a Halloween party this year?”
Although Ashton couldn’t see him, he knew that Calum had raised an eyebrow at his question.
It’s your house Ashton
“Well excuse me for wanting to make sure my resident ghost wasn’t inconvenienced.” Ashton smirked at his fridge as Calum spelt out a new message.
Appreciate it
Sure, have a party
Ashton cheered aloud and began reeling off his ideas to Calum, barely giving the ghost time to form a sentence. Calum shook his head fondly at the man standing opposite him - if Calum had been alive and met Ashton, he was sure that they’d have been best friends. When Ashton had finished speaking, Calum had one thing to say.
You already have a haunted house Ash
–
The party had taken Ashton weeks of planning and he’d dragged Luke into the prep early on in the process.
Calum liked having Luke around - he was fun to mess with. He’d taken to moving Luke’s glass from wherever he’d put it down and putting it on the other side of the room. Watching Luke’s bewilderment was a new favourite activity of Calum’s - Ashton had to keep taking the fall for his antics.
As Halloween rolled around, Ashton’s house really did look haunted. Every room was shrouded in black and there were cobwebs all over the place. (Calum’s favourite thing was the skeleton hiding behind the downstairs closet door that jumped out whenever you walked past it.) According to Ashton, the outside looked just as scary as the inside, but Calum had to take his word for it.
As people started arriving, Calum retreated into Ashton’s room. He didn’t usually go anywhere near the other man’s room, but Ashton had told him that it was okay if he needed to get away from all the people. Calum was worried about being walked through. Ashton had done it a few times by accident, and Calum had felt sick every time it had happened. That was something they were both eager to avoid, especially once Calum had explained to Ashton how it felt.
A knock on Ashton’s bedroom door piqued Calum’s interest and Luke’s head appeared around the door frame.
“Ash, are you - oh. You’re not here.” Luke started to close the door but stopped suddenly, pushing it back open and slipping inside before closing it behind him. He glanced around a few times, gaze running over where Calum was sitting on the end of the bed.
“This is going to sound crazy, but is there someone else in here?”
Calum cocked his head at Luke’s words; he knew that Ashton wasn’t particularly forthcoming with Luke about his existence. He shifted off the end of the bed, moving across the room to stand about a foot away from Luke. The blonde let out a breath as he felt the temperature in the room drop slightly.
“Calum, right?” Luke’s voice was quiet as he spoke, Calum smiling at the fact that Luke remembered his name. He picked up a pillow from Ashton’s bed in response, tossing it gently towards Luke. The other man caught it easily, eyes growing wide at the pillow that was suddenly in his arms.
“Holy shit, you are actually real.”
Calum let out a laugh at Luke’s words, amazement etched into the blonde’s face.
“I’ll be right back, don’t go anywhere.”
The blonde left the room, returning a few minutes later with an armful of stuff. He dropped it all on Ashton’s bed before turning around and facing the room.
“So, um, I bought a small magnetic whiteboard and some of the letters from Ashton’s kitchen drawer and I was wondering if we could talk about something?”
Luke watched in shock as the letters began arranging themselves on the whiteboard.
Hi Luke
What’s up
Luke sucked in a breath before he started talking.
–
Calum knew this was crazy.
Luke was crazy.
Just because it was Halloween, it didn’t mean that Ashton would suddenly be able to see him. Calum had always thought the whole ‘veil being thinner on Halloween’ thing was bullshit. Luke was insistent that it wasn’t, telling him that if anyone would be able to see him it would be Ashton.
“He’s in love with you, I think.”
The way Luke had said it had been so casual, but it sent Calum’s mind reeling. Ashton couldn’t possibly love him. He barely even knew him. Luke had dismissed Calum’s concerns before he’d even completed a sentence on the board. The more Calum thought about it, the more he was sure that he was the one in love with Ashton. He paused rearranging the letters for a moment as he stared at Luke.
Think I love him too
Luke had lit up with a smile at Calum’s words before slipping out of the room to find Ashton.
Calum was sure if he had any contents in his stomach, that they would be on their way out by now. He was so nervous. Luke was so sure that this would work, that Calum found himself believing the blonde man wholeheartedly. It felt like an eternity before Luke finally returned dragging Ashton behind him, along with another man that Calum had never seen before.
“Calum, this is Michael. He’s my boyfriend and he’s also slightly psychic.”
Michael blushed a deep red at Luke’s words, scanning the room before he locked eyes with Calum.
“Hello, Calum.”
Calum waved gingerly at the green eyed man staring at him, Michael breaking out into a smile. He glanced at Luke and nodded slightly, the blonde smirking at Ashton. Ashton was standing behind Luke looking bewildered as he watched the exchange between his friends.
“Can someone please explain to me what’s going on? Luke, how did you find out about Calum?”
Luke glanced over his shoulder at the brunette man and rolled his eyes.
“Please, I don’t know why you thought no one would find the picture you’d taped to your desk drawer. Coupled with the fact that you kept blaming ‘Calum’ for things. You weren’t exactly subtle, Ash. I put two and two together and did a google search.”
Ashton’s jaw dropped open as Luke spoke, Calum snickering at his reaction. Michael smiled widely at Calum and turned to face Ashton.
“You already know what Calum looks like, right?”
Ashton nodded slowly, fearful of where this was going.
“As we all know, the veil is thinner on Halloween, therefore allowing spirits to pass between the realms. I’ve never tried to bring an actual ghost through the veil, but there’s a first time for everything, right?” Michael rolled his shoulders as he spoke, turning back to face Calum. “Provided this goes right, we should all be able to see you. I mean, I already can. But Luke and Ashton too. Worst case scenario is that only I can see you, and this doesn’t work. You only live once though, right?”
Calum rolled his eyes at Michael’s words, bracing himself for whatever the man was about to do.
“Oh, wait.” Michael glanced at Ashton before looking back towards Calum, “Say something to me, Calum. I need to know if I can hear you already or not.”
Calum raised an eyebrow at Michael.
“You’re such a know-it-all, Michael.”
Michael broke out into laughter, Luke and Ashton looking at him in confusion.
“This is gonna be fun, nice to meet you Calum.” Michael smirked at him before cracking his knuckles, “You’re gonna fit right in with us all, I’m sure of that.”
“Michael, what exactly are you going to do?” Ashton’s voice was nervous, he didn’t like the fact that Michael could see Calum when he couldn’t.
“We, my dear friends, are going to summon Calum firmly into the realm of the living.”
–
Calum felt the air around him grow fuzzy as he watched the three figures sat on the floor in front of him.
“Now Ashton, I need you to imagine Calum standing right in front of you. Really imagine it. See him in your mind’s eye. You got it? Good.” Michael looked away from Ashton and back towards Calum. “Cal, whenever you’re ready, I need you to come and stand in front of Ashton. I’m 80% sure that this is going to work. It depends how well Ashton is visualising.”
The brunette huffed in Michael’s direction and Calum smirked.
“Is he always like this when I’m not around?”
Michael grinned at Calum before nodding and gesturing to the spot on the floor in front of Ashton.
“Whenever you’re ready, Calum.”
–
Holy shit
“Cal?” Ashton’s voice was barely a whisper as he stared at the man suddenly standing before him.
“Hi, Ash.” Calum blushed under the other man’s gaze, casting a look towards Luke and Michael who were both sat on the floor smirking.
Ashton blinked a few times before slowly standing up and reaching towards Calum. The other man grabbed his arm as he stood, helping to pull him off the floor.
“How - how are you corporeal right now?” Ashton looked over at Michael who simply shrugged in return.
“You must be really good at visualising. It was only supposed to make Calum visible and hearable. Whether or not he was corporeal was out of my control.” Michael pulled Luke to his feet as he stood up, taking the blonde’s hand, “Now, if you don’t mind, I need to go and make out with my boyfriend in Ashton’s spare room. Nice to meet you, Cal. I daresay we’ll be seeing a lot more of each other in the near future.”
Michael dragged Luke from the room, the blonde waving absentmindedly at Ashton and Calum as they retreated, closing the door behind them.
“It’s really you.” Ashton ran his hand up Calum’s arm. The other man was wearing the same clothes as in the photo Ashton had seen, Calum’s leather jacket feeling smooth against his fingers.
“It’s really me, Ash.” Calum brought a hand up rest against the back of Ashton’ neck. “It’s so weird to be able to talk to you and for you to actually be able to hear me.”
Ashton laughed quietly at Calum’s words, leaning forwards to rest their foreheads together.
“I can’t believe you’re really standing here and I can see you. Remind me to get Michael a case of beer or something.”
“Noted.” Calum grabbed both of Ashton’s hands, lacing their fingers together. “I’ve thought about being able to touch you for so long.”
Ashton hummed quietly at the other man’s words, the realisation finally setting in.
Calum was here. He could see Calum. He could hear him. He could feel him.
“Ash, I need to tell you something.” Calum nudged Ashton’s head up so they were eye to eye. “I’m pretty sure I’m in love with you.”
Ashton smiled softly at the admission.
“Pretty sure I’m in love with you too, Cal. I mean, it’s kinda complicated because you’re a ghost and all, but I really do love you.”
Calum searched Ashton’s face for any sign of hesitancy before closing the distance between them.

Jay’s hands felt clammy as they held Sunoo and Jungwon’s, the three making their way to where ras bakery stood. He wondered to himself if they should turn around and leave, text you tonight, and properly thank you some other time. As if he were trying to justify wanting to go back,
“She did tell me to text or call, she never said anything about actually visiting,” he muttered to himself. He was about to tell his sons the change in plans since it was getting late. That is until Jungwon and Sunoo took it upon themselves to let go of his hand and run to the door when they saw you and Ni-ki coming out.
He ran after them as any parent would do but the two kids had legs of speed and managed to get to you before he could catch up. He noticed how your arms instantly invited them without hesitance and the way your eyes looked at them with worry. When he finally reached the 4 of you, he bowed out of politeness,
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to let them run off like that. They just let go of my hand when they saw you and got excited.” His attention then went to his sons, “Yah, didn’t I tell you guys not to run?” he said. As the two boys looked up at him, his gaze softened and he let out a sigh, Jake and Sunghoon said that he was too soft for his boys, letting them get away with too much, and he was starting to believe them.
“I’m y/n, this is Ni-ki,” you said with a smile and a bow of your own.
“I’m Jay and well, you already know their names.” He wasn’t quite sure what he expecting when he heard of you from Jake, Sunoo, and Jungwon. Naturally, he was curious since you stood up for his kids despite not even knowing them for a full day. But as you stood here in front of him, there was just something about you that rendered him speechless. It wasn’t until you spoke that he was brought out of his thoughts,
“So, what are the three of you doing here?” you asked.
“I, uhh, wanted to say thank you,” he replied truthfully, nervousness now settling in the bit of his stomach. “I didn’t realize it was closing time or I would’ve come some other time.”
“I’m honored, CEO Park Jongseong thought my bakery was worth paying a visit to?”
“Sunoo and Jungwon raved about the cupcakes Ni-ki shared and the pastries on the way to the park you gave them.”
“Y’all should be my test-tasters for new recipes then.”
“Oh? Who am I to deny that request. After all, it’s for the greater good of your customers,” he joked.
“Ni-ki and I were gonna get dinner at the pizza place across the street. The 3 of you should join us if you haven’t eaten yet.” He knew he should have said no, after all, you and Ni-ki probably wanted to eat together and you were probably offering just to be nice. He tried not to eat out too much if he could help it and preferred to cook for the boys. Yet tonight, he was feeling tired and he wanted to get to know you some more so,
“Yeah, that sounds nice.” As the 3 kids were working on one of the coloring sheets,
“Can I ask you something?” he asked. You leaned back into the booth,
“You just did,” he let out a chuckle.
“Why’d you name the bakery ras bakery?” he asked.
“Ahh, well I usually tell people that it stands for “rise and shine” y’know, cause it’s a bakery and pastries tend to be a way to start your day.”
“Mhm,” he said, wanting you to continue.
“But the real reason is because of you.” Because of him? He took a sip of his drink in an effort to stay cool,
“Me?” Quoting his famous line,
“Resentment, Anger, and Shame,” you replied. “I got into selling my baked goods around the time I found out I was pregnant and a lot of things were happening. When I got the money to open the bakery, I named it ras bakery.” Curiosity settled into him, wondering your story and just why that line stuck with you knew but he knew he wasn’t in a position to ask. So instead,
“Who was your bias?”
“OT3.” He leaned into the booth, bringing his arms up and hands behind his head,
“Liar, who was it?” He noted how your eyes widened slightly,
“How the hell did you know I was lying?” you asked. If he was being honest, he hadn’t.
“You just confirmed it,” he replied.
“Ok, well, I like all of you the same let’s get that clear but if I had to choose a bias... Sunghoon.” After hearing that he wasn’t your 02z bias, he felt slightly jealous but tried not to show it.
“Why him?”
“Have you seen the man? He’s a freaking prince. And when he laughs it’s so cute, please, I can’t. Like there’s a reason he’s called the Ice Prince but he seems like the type of guy who’ll do things for you on the down-low.”
“What about Jake?”
“Jake is such a gentleman! His Aussie accent just gives me butterflies whenever I hear it. Like you look at him and you just know that you can trust him. Plus, he’s so in love with Layla like imagine if he ever has a kid?” As the pizzas came to the table, he put a slice on everyone’s plate. As he placed one on yours,
“What about me?” he asked.
“You?” you asked.
“Mhm.”
“You’re an angry bird,” you teased.
“Yah, that’s not fair. You said all this stuff about Sunghoon and Jake,” he said with a pout.
“Ok, ok. In all seriousness though, you’ve always been passionate about anything you do. Whether it’s being an idol or a CEO, you follow through with everything. You’re caring towards other people and you’re comfortable to be around. Maybe it’s because of your honey addiction, I don’t know.” As dinner progressed, Jay realized that he was starting to enjoy chatting with you. He couldn’t remember the last time he felt so at ease with someone and noticed that throughout the night, you didn’t just take care of only Ni-ki, but also Sunoo and Jungwon which he was thankful for.
As the month went on, you and Jay exchanged a few texts here and there sometimes about the kids but other times just to chat whenever you both had time. To help Jay, you made lunch for Jungwon and Sunoo and gave it to them in the morning. To help you, either Jay, Jake, or Sunghoon dropped Ni-ki off to the bakery after school. Some days, the 3 kids were in the bakery while other days they were at Jay’s house. You managed to hire a pastry chef Wendy to help out with the work. One Friday afternoon, Heeseung came in while you were organizing the cupcake display.
“Where’s Ni-ki?” he asked.
“Dance studio, Jay’s picking him up today.”
“Ok, what’s going on with you and him? All Ni-ki talks about is ‘Jay-hyung this, Jay-hyung that.’ As your best friend and Ni-ki’s favorite hyung, I’m offended.”
“We’re just helping each other out.” In the short time that you and Jay knew each other a sort of silent agreement fell between the two of you to help out the other whenever possible. When you mentioned to him that Ni-ki wanted to attend a dance studio, he did some research and found one that gave discounts with 2+ kids enrolled. When he mentioned that Sunoo stopped wanting to eat actual food and only wanted cupcakes, you gave him some recipes to secretly incorporate it in meals and started baking more savory and vegetable-filled items.
“The two of you are in a single parent circle typa thing. Since he’s Jay of 02z that means he worked with-” you cut off Heeseung not wanting to hear the name he was about to say,
“Hee,” you warned.
“Y/n, you know I love you but when it comes to the men in your life we both know that you haven’t made the best decisions.”
“Good thing Jay and I are just in a single parent circle typa thing then, right?”
