Okay, genuinely ? Tumblr is the like best app/website literally ever. The way I'm constantly discovering new media and free resources on here is crazy. I mean just the other day i discovered the magnus archives podcast and I've been obsessed ever since. I deadass finished like a whole season in less than a week.

Not to mention the pdfs, articles, poetry, language learning resources, book recommendations AND TEXTBOOK LINKS ??!! ALL FOR FREE !!!

What fueled my motivation to come back to Tumblr after like a two year long break and start a new account?

A lovely little thing called ADHD which results in hyperfixations and has created a hyperfixation on Stranger Things that’s lasted for a year. The people around me are so tired of hearing me talk about the show 24/7 so I decided to come back to Tumblr to be around people who are as crazy about the show as I am and who are genuinely fun to interact with online. Thank you Tumblr community for being such a fun, loving place for someone who wants to share that passions and get a little escape from reality.

Am I really the only one not concerned at all about Tumblr changes (even if I understand there are some issues for impaired users and that's BAD, but I suppose @staff can work about fixing it), because I simply adapt and go on, meanwhile I'm really terrified Tumblr might shut down and I'd lose years of content, of happiness, of rage, of blorbos, of meta, of content, of weird friendships?

I think Tumblr maybe does have some issues, but in the face of every other fucking useless social media and their useless inhabitants? Ridiculously insignificant. This is the only social I have, for a reason. And my generation all belongs to FB, just saying.

Losing Tumblr AND THE PEOPLE LIVING HERE, the beauty they keep creating and sharing, that would be the nightmare.

Maybe constant-complainers should cool the fuck down, and try not to yell about everything all the time. Probably it's because life has started beating me to pulp since childhood? But I carefully choose my battles. And this is ridiculous.

Adapt and proceed is my M.O. And I don't think it's that bad. It's not a social media the battlefield people should focus their ideological wars on.
