something that i noticed about thanatos' teleport

whenever he appears during a run, that gong chime sound effect is heard. for the longest time, i thought that sound was solely there to let the player know that death approaches, i.e. that sound is not actually audible to the characters in the game

however, then i got the interaction where zagreus imitates the gong chime. and it got me thinking like, wait, he hears it too? what?

now, thanatos is able to teleport without that sound being there. so the only thing i'm left with is... thanatos is not only able to add sound effects to his teleport, but he chooses to add that gong chime every time he goes to zagreus during a run? honestly it's very him to be doing such an entrance

✨ Another late night hc ✨

So this occurs at a time when Tails is probably beginning his adolescence stage, and like most teens would experience, is having frequent mood swings and behavioural changes, which is all noticed by Sonic. (who would probs be a young adult by now) and he wouldn’t call it the “good” kind…

For instance, he’s noticed his lil brother become more distant from him and the gang, rather preferring to be secluded in his lab, tinkering away on his inventions. He’s also become quite dull in his expressions, and will sometimes even refuse physical touch. (like hugs or the like)

It’s like sonic was losing the sunshine kid that he knew every waking second…

And it wasn’t until one night, Sonic was up late pondering on these things. He suddenly realised all of Tails’ behavourial changes made him remind of someone…

Someone he hasn’t seen in a couple of years…

Someone who looked like him…

Someone who basically WAS him…

Someone who because of his past, became secluded and avoided contact with anyone…

Someone whose face showed hardly any signs of joy…

Someone who was the way he was because he didn’t have anyone…

These thoughts made his heart race. He couldn’t let his brother become “that”version of him…even if these signs are just nothing and could blow over in the next week, Sonic knew that especially in these times, he had to be there for Tails more than ever, no matter the reason, nor what the fox would make of it.

Guys I’m just now realizing that in Flapjack whenever they say “Hubba-wha” It’s always either Flapjack or K’nuckles? I don’t think anyone else ever says that? (unless I’m mistaken which I very well could be)

But that means that “hubba-wha” is a K’nuckles-ism, and Flapjack only says that because he copies him. THAT’S SO CUTE....
