imagining that at first nancy sleeps out in the hall, where her little cat bed is, when a few weeks after robin wakes up to a scratching at her door.

nancy is sitting there, with her bed next to her that she obviously dragged over, looking obviously distressed with her tail puffed up and her little paws shifting uncomfortably. she’s upset about something but robin doubts she’d shift to tell her, and she looks tired anyways.

robin, not wanting to take this moment of vulnerability for granted, hoping it’d help nancy trust her a bit more, she doesn’t ask, and nancy drags her bed in up next to robin’s and settles in for the night, giving robin her first soft, appreciative purr when robin gives her a comforting stroke behind the ears and climbs back into bed

when robin wakes up in the morning nancy is up on robin’s bed, curled at her feet.

inside of robin there r two wolves… one of which is absolutely starstruck at nancy’s trust and is so scared of messing it up by moving her feet and is like “wow she is adorable” and the other desperately wants to tease her good-naturedly because she knew nancy was a softy and just wanted someone to show her some kindness

she decides to do a bit of both, by sitting cross legged by nancy’s curled up form and giving her a little scratch on the head, which gets her up all startled and prepared to fight before realizing it was just robin and calming down

robin asks her if she’s alright, if she wants to talk about last night, and she’s shifting uncomfortably and messing with her own hands because she’s nervous and she doesn’t want to overstep, and nancy just looks up at her and before robin can announce her retreat from the subject there’s suddenly a girl sitting in front of her

THATS RIGHT‼️ first transformation and robin is literally stunned because she did not expect it at all

nancy is staring up at robin with these big blue eyes with slit pupils, and robin’s first thought is “pretty”, with her wild brown curls that hid silverisy-grey cat ears up to the tips, which poked out slightly. robin didn’t know how familiar transformations worked, but she was silently relieved it wasn’t werewolf lore compliant and that nancy wasn’t exposed to robin, wearing a grey turtleneck the color of her fur and simple black leggings, with the random addition of fluffy socks on her feet

and nancy is seeing robin with new eyes, with a new perspective. she hadn’t planned on shifting yet, but robin was so sincere, so nervous, she felt the urge to reassure her, to let her know she appreciated it, and it just happened

and nancy always knew robin was pretty, that robin sent her heart fluttering, but now that she was looking at robin on somewhat equal footing, it was easy to let heat rush to her face, and she knew she was a goner, because she started this journey determined to hate whoever appeared before her, and now she was entirely enamored. she wanted to be close with robin, wanted to hear her ramble about whatever came to her mind and to learn about her. she had been offered someone who saw her as a person, she wanted robin buckley to feel the same, like she didn’t have to walk on eggshells around her, they were able to talk things through.

“uh- no problem! are you okay?”

where nancy proceeds to make the most mid scrambled eggs imaginable and robin pretends she’s eating the finest cuisine while adding multiple different spices because she requires all sorts of tastes to really make a meal

this is like the ice breaking part of their relationship, they have real conversations now. they start safe, about magic and favorite colors and “nancy do u need more clothes” “yeah lol”

it moves into robin’s interests, her relationships with other witches, what was her family like (will be elaborated on later) to the realm familiar’s live in until they’re called upon, nancy’s life before robin (will also be elaborated on later), and nancy’s passions.

nancy now lives a double life of sorts, shifting between cat and person as she pleases, but she’s always a cat when she sleeps with robin, feels safer and less committal, but as the days pass she gets closer and closer, laying right up against robin and eventually right on top of her (robin doesn’t prefer sleeping on her back but nancy snuggled up to her chest is too perfect to pass up).

safe to say robin doesn’t expect it when she wakes up with way more weight on her than she expected and a curly-haired head is tucked under her chin, a fur tipped-ear tickling her cheek.

robin is literally stunned, frozen shock still, and its pure instinct that she follows when her hands come up to wrap around nancy’s waist and buries her face in her hair, and she takes confirmation that its okay when nancy snuggles into robin, a purr in her throat.

Happy tdov to fat trans people. 🏳️‍⚧️ Biggest thing that helped me as a trans kid was seeing older fat trans people. There were a lot of really irritating "advice" posts going around early in my time on the internet with a lot of misinformation in them, but one that I constantly saw (in addition to people claiming you should wear your pants rediculously low or only wear button ups) were posts saying you had to lose weight to transition. Can confidently confirm that is completely untrue. 👍
