What I know about Dungeon Meshi characters as someone who has only seen it on my dash:
Senshi: Dwarf man. Everyone wants to fuck him. Cooks good. Kind. Tumblr's Ideal Husband. I cannot stress enough how much people want to do insane things to this man's cervix. Gets all the standard anime fanservice which I am 100% okay with
Chilchuck: Dead inside. Supports unions. Canonically fucks. Cusses people out. A retail worker's fantasy. I don't know how he ended up with these people and I don't think he knows either but now he's attached so.
Marcille: Standard Anime Elf Girl except Not. Covered in blood. Italian. Doomed yuri. Casually spites god. So fucking tired of eating random shit Laios grabbed off the floor.
Laios: Autistic rep of the year. Somehow the least normal person here unrelated to that. Type of individual to lick uranium out of curiosity of how it tastes. Feel like they have to have the "what's in your mouth" *chews faster* conversation with him a lot
Falin: Laios's sister, eaten by dragon. Revived via power of lesbianism. Didn't come back wrong but what is now wrong was unrelated.
Izutsumi: catgirl. legitimately just a cat in the shape of a girl, and we love her for that. Adopted by Senshi? Maybe? Look all you need to know is This Is A Cat
theres some other guys but these are the ones I know

I was bored at uni one day so decided to make hypothetical pokemon teams for the Touden party. Some are based on vibes, some are references to the characters themselves. Explanations below, at some places I go into spoiler territory so read at your own risk. I dont know how to spoilertag so im just gonna paste a lot of "/" so people have to click read more.

Tumblr media
Laios: In general a very monster focused team. Initially i considered filling his entire team with dragons, but found that idea pretty boring. Hydreigon is a perfect fit for Laios. It fits both his love of dragons, multiheaded monsters, and it fits one of his titles at the end of the story: Laios of the Three heads. Escavalier is a reference to the living armor, which i think is the coolest monster in the entire series. Thats not enough to have it as a team member though, so the real reason i placed it on Laios' theme is that its Kensuke. Pyroar is The Winged Lion, as Laios is the only person in the story who truly understands it. Nidoking is a monster, but it also has king in its name. Lycanrock (day) is a reference to his childhood dogs. Finally Lickylicky references his endless apetite. I chose Lickylicky over snorlax, because Lickylicky is more niche in its appeal, and Laios is the type of person who likes things other would say "Thats stupid" to.
Marcille: I struggled a bit with this team, but in general i wanted to focus on her Elf identity, which mean some more feminine pokemon. However i also wanted to focus on her ancient magic and magical capabilities. I think Gardevoir is a perfect fit for her. Its a very caring pokemon, and its a very powerful psychic type. I added Cradily because i felt it fit her a lot. Its an ancient pokemon, and its a plant. You could see this as fitting with her staff and such, but all in all i just thought it really fit Marcille a lot. Next is Trevenant, which is a reference to her staff, Ambrosia. Its also a ghost type pokemon and has a darker design than just a tree, so i felt it was a nice tie in to her having darker/ancient magic than she lets on at first. Meowstic is a pokemon i put in simply for the vibes, I feel it fits her a lot. No other reason really. Gothitelle is here to reference her Dungeon Lord outfit, but i also think its a pokemon she would like. At last Spiritomb. This is a reference to her ancient magic, and i feel no other pokemon could represent an old unknown horror quite as well as Spiritomb.
Senshi: I wanted to really include Senshis key characteristics here, but really ended up with a lot of food pokemon. Mudsbray is a reference to Anne, both the horse and the Kelpie. Torterra is a pokemon i think senshi would like. I initially wanted to use Golem or another rock type to reference his farm golems, but i think Torterra just does the idea much better seeing as its basically an ecosystem in itself. Kangaskhan is a reference to his parental role in the party, but also his need to take care of the younger generation. Perrserker is a reference to his dwarf identity, i just think its neat. Appletun is an apple pie, and Farfetch'd seems like a nice pokemon to help you make food.
Chilchuck: With Chilchuck i wanted to both think of his status as the party rogue/trap disarmer and his position as a family man at heart. I wanted to reference his politics, but found it hard to represent with pokemon. First up we have Thievul, which is just a great fit for him. Its a thief fox that steps around silently, i think he would really like this thing. Klefki is his disarming tools. Maushold is him and his family. I think Pyukumuku is actually the best representation of him. Its small, and mostly utility focused, which is really his place in the party. However its also really cool so theres that, i guess. Lastly Galarian Stunfisk represents traps, and Gimmieghoul is his (least) favourite monster The Mimic.
Izutsumi: I wanted to emphazise that shes both a cat and a angsty teenager, but ended up with a very edgy team. I suppose it fits her though. Liepard is a scheming cat pokemon. It also fits because it has a rivalry with Thievul, which is in Chilchucks team. I think it was a nice fit as they basically have a grumpy dad/teenage daughter relationship at times. Sneasel is a mischievous little guy, which is basically a description of Izutsumi. Greninja is a ninja, and Luxio kinda looks like Izutsumi. Zoroark and Umbreon are both pretty edgy pokemon which i loved as a teenager, but i do think they fit her design. This is probably the weakest team on this list, but I still feel it fits her a lot.
Falin: I wanted to represent Falins place in the story, aswell as some of her likes. Dracozolt is a direct reference to her status as a hybrid bird/dragon/human monster. Its a perfect fit really. Hatterene represents her status as a "damsel in distress" that the party need to save. Although i think shes more than that, I felt it fit as Hatterene also has powerful magic. Oranguru i thought was a funny pick, i think it fits her healing mage aesthetic, and they basically have the same design really. Scolipede is a reference to her love of bugs and Reuniclus is both a psychic type and a body. I think it was a nice fit for her. Lastly we have Alolan Marowak, who in design is an exorcist, which is a nice little nod to her and Laios' conversation when they were children. Her potentially becoming a wandering exorcist.
And thats that. I made this just for fun so there are probably better choices for some of the characters. thanks.

Thinks about my eragon x danny phantom fic idea that I have and still haven;t been able to write
Sooooooooooooooooooo HEADCANNON TIME FOR THE AU
-Danny is a seer. He sees more spirits and ghosts than any human, elf, dwarf or dragon can see. Sometimes they use him as a vessel to show him something important (possibly can see the magic too)
-the Fenton’s work for Galbatorix (unwillingly) to try and rediscover the ancient types of magic and blessings from hundreds of years prior
- They DO NOT know that Danny only does his frequent trips to other towns to escape the eyes and ears of the army so he can speak to the ghosts to learn about things he never would have
- He’s mostly close friends with an old elven man. The man never gave his name but he was a dragon rider and teaches danny about the history of them.
-The man also teaches danny about elven traditions : how to properly great someone, speaking the ancient language, minor magic, and other such things
-Danny is out on a trip one day to get specific materials for his parents and sister when he feels a tug pulling him in a certain direction so he follows it. the stronger the pull gets the weirder feeling he has.
-Suddenly a specter takes over and shows Danny a long forgotten path that leads under a massive tree system
- under the tree are the remains of a dragon and its rider. The dragons bones are curled protectively around an egg. It looks almost like a night sky with white streaks across it
-theres also old elven weaopns, swords and bows. even elven clothing that are all in pristine condition
-the ghost begs danny to take them to Queen Islanzadí of the Elves. Danny gladdly accepts. He knows how important that egg is
-He leaves for  Ellesméra immediately
-on his way to the elven capitol he runs into a slight problem, he didnt think the egg was supposed to hatch. and it did and oopsie now hes a rider and has to hurry his ass up because now he has to take this BABY DRAGON to another kingdom or Galbatorix with have his HEAD.
-Anyways he does get there rather quickly with no issues for the most part and when the patrol greets him he does the greeting and stuff (which no one expected him to know much less in the ancient language)
- the dragon gets seen as theyre walking back and he shyly is just like “uhhhh yeah i had no idea how to bring her up”
-when meeting the queen shes really shocked (doesnt show it tho) because Danny shares a striking resemblance to a man of legends
-danny is in  Ellesméra before eragon is but their dragons hatch around the same time frame. The only difference being Persephone (Danny’s dragon) is a handfull of months younger So when eragon and Saphira go to the capitol and see another dragon rider its a bit of a shock
thats... kinda all i got

can u do an info post on orcs, fae, and elves if u know anything about them?
Sure thing anon.
First things first, orcs are normally depicted as brutish, aggressive humanoids a view popularized by the Lord of the Rings books. But this isn’t the only depiction of them given that the term was taken from Beowulf. In Beowulf the term that eventually became orcs meant evil spirits and blah blah blah, possibly walking undead monsters but the exact meaning isn’t really known (because translations can be whack) aside from the fact they were mentioned alongside ogres, elves, and giants as races condemned by God. One form of the word orco means Ogre and was used to describe a large, hairy, manlike beast that had tusks who lived in a dark forest or a garden and might capture and eat humans. You can go a lot of ways with orcs, especially considering Orcus was apparently a name for Pluto, so if you want to make them an undead race or something, go for it.
Fae...is a bit of a broad term depending on the context. Sometimes it only means a specific type of creature, one humanoid in appearance, that has magic, and loves to play tricks. But it’s more commonly used as a catch-all term for non-human creatures like goblins or ogres. There are a lot of different types, and sometimes spirits are caught in the net. Additionally the name of fairies may not actually reflect that they are fairies. The Aos Sí are considered to be fae even though they have been regarded as gods and goddesses, spirits of ancestors, etc. Nonetheless, there are usually ways said to protect people from malice or trickery from the fae. Cold iron (which is iron forged at lower temperatures after being mined from deep underground) charms from rowan trees, avoiding places known to be theres so you don’t offend them. There’s also a certain type of tree you shouldn’t cut down to avoid angering them, I’m pretty sure its a thorn tree. The front and back door of houses should be in line with each other so the fae can pass through if they have a route that goes through the house. Depending on what type of fae you’re dealing with you can have the Seelie and Unseelie courts, the seelie court usually does less harmful pranks than the Unseelie but both are dangerous if made mad. People who ran mills were sometimes thought to be uncanny and in league with the fae, since the fae were thought to mill their corn at night. Faerie gold is usually just disguised twigs and leaves, but it a faerie pays you in leaves and sticks and you make it home it was often actual gold. Faeries could be considered between humans and angels or between angels or demons. Some versions have them being unable to lie, and thus they deal in half-truths and tricky wording. Giving them your name could give them power over you, but the same also works in reverse.
The word elf probably originally meant white being in its origins and has much of the same characteristics as that of the fae, especially since it dropped in popularity in favor of dwarf and fairy. Elves were associated with many things such as the gods of Norse mythology, with causing illness, with magic, and with beauty and seduction. Elves eventually shifted to small impish beings, thanks to Shakespeare. Tolkien introduced the concept of elves being immortal. But basically elves could be considered as watered down fae depending on how you want to handle them. They could be closer to the old beliefs of them being powerful and magical, or closer to the more modern view of handsome man with a bow and pointed ears who lives for a long time.
I’m kinda tired rn, so I hope this is good. if you excuse me, my animals probably want fed

City elf origin: great but only as a female warden, feels gross otherwise. I know it makes a lot of people uncomfortable and I dont want to get too personal but I enjoyed it being an unpleasant experience along w other similar situations in it for various personal reasons, loved soris and Shianni, your father here is also super chill so thanks pops. Also super satisfying to kill that rat bastard and all those other humans excusing him.
Dalish elf origin: great, fantastic, we love to see it. Didnt really like Merrill or the keeper in origins but I couldn't really elaborate it's just the vibes are off, love tamlen, love all the stuff about elf-dwarf relationships and the eluvian, it is so fucking manipulative but when he shows up later (not the camp, the gauntlet) it's kind of touching
Dwarf noble: so chaotic and potentially heartbreaking fuck yeah I vibe w this writing so much, super funny when you show up back at ozamarr and act like nothing happened and your brother is like..."okay, what's your damage, but okay hey help me out"
Dwarf commoner: humm no? Somethings off about the writing. I hate leske btw, your sister is...nice? Sort of just makes me uncomfortable in the origin itself, worth playing out for when you return though
Circle mage: man I actually do love irving because hes such a bitch, cullen is a creep and always been a creep so naturally I hate him, I'm the only niall stan around and thus have to make my own fan content for him 😔, I have a love-hate relation ship with Jowan, I like how theres a lot you can just miss abt kinloch hold or do a deep dive into it (and both lend well into roleplaying)
Cousland: played it once as a dude. I dont have a lot of thoughts about it, it totally comes off as what the game WANTS you to play as, and tbh I just didnt really like my family that much .

2 Drunks burn down a town
Context: Pathfinder game where our party stopped at a town late at night. Apparently the trader that we were supposed to meet rented the rooms for us, so all of the party except , the elf wizard (Me), half-dwarf cleric (GM), and human barbarian went to sleep. The Cleric and barbarian did a drinking game with Dragon Ale before everyone went to sleep. Sufficed to say they got shitfaced drunk and broke into an alchemist shop, and what happened next was… special to say.
Barbarian: “Do you know what any of these labels mean?”
Cleric: “No clue.”
The barbarian then grabs random shit off the shelves and says: “Greens stuff is good right? You know wha, im gonna drink it.”
The barbarian then drank a potion of Haste, and then smoked some really fucking strong herb which increased his strength and put him into a rage. He then put a hole into the shop wall, and knocked a candle down on the ground, setting the shop on fire.
Barbarian after starting the fire: “Awwwww man I gooota church ya?”
Cleric: “Huh, oh, OH, FIRE, FIIIIRE! PUNCH THE FIRE!”
The barbarian then punches the fire causing flaming splinters to go everywhere causing the fire to spread even more now.
Cleric: “AHHHHH!”
Barbarian: “We got to pray it away.”
Cleric: “Quick! PRAY THE SINS AWAY!”
The barbarian with a cleric on his back goes charging full steam ahead to the Chapel.
GM: Also [Wizard] you probably notice the fire by now through the windows
Me (OOC): Great, not like I can do anything about it.
IC I run to the building and go through my bag trying to find that scroll of create water, forgetting I used it earlier to make some water for 2 of our teammates to bathe cause they didn’t want to spend 5 silver for the public bath house.
Me: “Oh shit!” I then run back into the Inn and yell “FIRE! A BUILDING IS ON FIRE.”
Back to the duo who started this incident, they go the chapel, no one is there, the cleric remembers they are a cleric and  tells the barbarian to confess his sins to her, and the barbarian says: “Don’t we need one of those box things to confess our sins?”
Cleric: “What, no screw boxes, in fact. SCREW THIS BOX RIGHT HERE!”
The cleric then breathes fire on the box and then starts a fire in the chapel. They then decide its a good time to go to sleep. The barbarian goes charging full speed ahead to the inn… but first back to me
A local mage in their pajamas wakes up
Mage: “Whats the commotion?”
Me: “Hurry we need to do something, theres a fire outsid-”
Suddenly the barbarian with the cleric on his back comes charging straight through the wall. My character is starting to connect 2 and 2
Me: “What the fu- wait a minute? where the hell were you guys?”
The cleric then throws a rock at me and they both continue to their rooms, still drunk, and pass out.
Some of the NPCs then notice the fire and put out the one in the chapel, but  couldn’t stop the fire from the alchemist shop from spreading and destroying the library, meaning I can’t buy any spells at this town.
We then ended the session with all the party laughing, except for me wondering what the hell just happened.
Eh got 200 XP from it I suppose.

Chapter 3, Stories
As Raine rode off through the night with her band of hunters, Kurt turned to his own group. "So... what's the whispering about?" Kurt asked. In return, the trio told him a story. Many people had heard of the war not but one generation ago in the neighboring continent of Farbein, Kurt was not such a person. As war had raged between one of the kingdoms and a large group of Orcs who believed their God gave them divine right to any land they saw and desired, the king himself sent messengers to the lands of Neyvin looking for any capable warriors to help strike down the threat. Raine was one such warrior. The king, so thankful for those who came, had his court wizard teach them how to enchant their blades and arrows to stop most creatures in their tracks... even the Blight. Where most Orcs took 3 or 4 arrows to kill and could get through about 3 knights, those that knew the enchantment could cut them down in droves. And Raine took it upon herself to ambush Orcs in their camps in the forest. Legend has it that she killed any Orc that tried to stop her, be it to help the kingdom or her own survival, that she fought it the precision and grace of an elf, yet the fury of her prey. They called the enchantment Glaiveslight. And while the war was won, the kingdom in question would not see any kind Orc or halfbreed anywhere near its walls.
The sun had just risen over the foothills by the time the story was over. "Ye spoke to a living legend as if she was a friend, Lad. How do ye feel?" Asked Torque. "I feel.... tired and honestly a little hungry. I don't know about legends and all that but I do know that we have a ways before the next town and with people searching for us, or at least some form of us, I'm not sure we want to be around here." Kurt said. The group stared, surprised he was focused on leaving. Torque's burly voice broke the silence, "Ah, lad. Yer a surprising one." Kurt responded while packing up his things, "Cut me a little slack, I've not had sip nor sup in a couple days. Do we even know where we're headed next?" Escendar, having picked up a map of the region in Haerdon looks at all the settlements they can go, which is few and far in between.
Ecendar's blue-green eyes lit up when he'd seen a familiar town on the map, with Torque standing of his toes to look at the map too, "About the closest place to us is a place I know well, AiCerin. Only way there will be through the Kyljärn mountains. The man who sold this map to me told me warned me there is a war between bandit tribes on either side." Torque interrupts heartily, eager to fight, "Oh we can handle bandits. Already did! And with our scary new lady friend I don't think we can be stopped!" Ecendar, shrugging off the interruption by taking in the landscape and cool breeze that makes his long grey-blonde hair flow responds after a short pause. "Sure, we can. And strained from battle with the clans we will be eaten..." his demeanor getting more serious as he moves closer to the Dwarf, purposely trying to scare him to see his limit, "or starved as the scavengers of war pick upon our fallen foes, snapping their jaws and spitting vile as us anytime we try to make a move. It's not just wolves and wargs we must worry about. The lower portion of that mountain is home to a hive of large, flesh eating, acidic bugs called Chitus that lay their eggs in Man, Elf and Dwarf alike..." Scarlett, irritated by Ecendar's constant snapping at the Dwarf spoke loud, if almost to challenge him. "Lay off him, Dwarves can be arrogant but he's only being kind! Foolish, I'm sure your words speak true, but he means well!" Torque, who is now being towered over by the Elf, reaches his hand calmly out to Scarlett, taking only a brief moment to look at her. "Lass I appreciate what you're doin' but I can handle me-self..." Torque steps back from the Elf who is still staring at him and does a visible shrug and begins staring off into the distance "... Let's go kill us some bugs!" Torque begins to storm off towards the mountain, Scarlett and Kurt chasing after him pulling him to a stop while Ecendar rubs the bridge of his nose amazed by the Dwarfs simplemindedness.
"Torque, no!" said Kurt when pulling the Dwarf to a stop. "It's safer to go in the mountains, and after all we have much to learn about you and your people. Maybe there will be loose ore or gems you could find up there too?" Torque thought for a moment, war was fun for him. His surprising speed and short stature meant people couldnt hit him well, and he hit hard. But finding something new in the mountains could help his people and maybe there was gems up there. He had a special soft spot for Sapphires. "Tis true, the caves are loose this time of year. Aye I'll go with ye. But we best get into a scrap soon!" Torque said as he galloped back to the camp to help pack up. About an hour later the group had set for the small Kyljärn mountain range with the sun still rising. With Torque eager for new jewels for his collection, the group forgot the put out the fire and a quarter mile away from the camp Scarlett had remembered. "Oh that's right..." she muttered go herself before she clapped her hands, rubbed them together and blew between them. A yellow smoke coming out the other side. "What is it?" Asked Kurt. "Oh nothing, we just forgot to put out the fire. I took care of it." Ecendar, impressed by her knowledge of both simple tricks and intricate spells asks her where she learned all of her magic. "A coven..." Scarlett said as if it were normal. She turns to look at Ecendar but sees only shocked faces, afraid of what may become of them. "Relax, I cut ties with them years ago... and I cut them now that I think about it. That's the only reason I'm telling you now. If I were still with them I'd have sent you to them after Haerdon. I was adopted by them, they were the only people I knew when I was young. They taught me what I know and taught me to survive. As grateful as I was to them for everything they wanted me as a sister of their devil magic. You know you're in the wrong croud when someone you once considered family wants you to persuade a farmer into bringing his goat with him to the woods. Theres only one way to go about that and I'm not so comfortable with that or what would have happened afterwards..." Ecendar nods, understanding now, while Torque continues to look terrified. Kurt, now with eyes wide open simply says "Go on..." lustfully intrigued. "Wouldn't you like to know!" Says Scarlett, chuckling and shooting a sarcastic wink at Kurt.
The group tells stories on their way to Kyljärn and AiCerin. Scarlett tells tales of her mischievous young life in the coven. Ecendar tells of his exploits living in his old Elven shire, Mykera where he learned alchemy, enchanting and was quite the ladies man. Kurt talks of how he was going to be a captain of his own trade ship had it not been for a Griffon that struck his small town of Gulvis. A trader had someone steal an egg from its nest to sell. When the beast came looking it brought destruction and earned itself a bounty. Had it not been for the creature killing Kurt's brother Keegan, Ecendar and him would have never met. Men from Gulvis and those who came to collect the bounty grouped up to take on the grest beast. Originally there were 27 people, in the end there were only 4 to collect bounty. Since then, Ecendar and Kurt have been living on what's left of the bounty and looking for more work and adventure in the world. And Torque tells stories of life as he's known it underground. He was the runt of his family, but made up for it in precision, strength and speed. Where men have Darts as a party game, Dwarves have nail driving. Whoever can drive the nail deeper with the throw of a hammer, wins. Once, visciously inebriated, Torque threw a hammer at one of the many nails he was seeing and drove it so far into the beam that it broke the beam and left the hammer dulled. He's kept the nail ever since. And as for his personal gem collection he has 6 amethysts, 3 rubies, 4 topaz, an emerald and sapphire. His story behind the emerald is that a large spider took it, mistaking it for a grub and swallowed it. Torque hunted it down and had to split it in two to find the gem. Torque isnt usually in depth except for when he's in his caves, but he was gruesome with detail about the spider and how he slew it. Even made Kurt cringe and all the hunger he was feeling disappeared.

Do you wanna word vomit about your favorite dnd PCs? I wanna hear all about them please!
Omg, anon…bless you. Of course I do!
So right now I am playing two characters in different campaigns, and then I have another character for some upcoming campaign (maybe this year, maybe not). These are the three I have aesthetic-y blogs for, and they are probably my favorites, although I have a special place in my heart for my first character and she is involved in one of my current campaigns as a bit of a legacy.
Elysia (@la-elysia) is the character I’ve now been playing for the longest time, and I’m continuing to play her for probably another year. She is a grave cleric, and specifically a priestess of Hades. She’s a half-elf, and both her parents were good-aligned clerics (and their parents before them, and so on!). She was raised by the elf half of her family, and resents humans even though her parents parted on amicable terms. She also wanted to choose her own path in life, and so she chose to follow Hades. She thinks life is more complicated and dark than her families have always taught her, and that the most important thing to honor is the thin line between life and death.
When I started out playing her, she was fresh out of her (required) time as a soldier, so she was a little rough and edgy. She’s still quite young, and at first it was obvious how much she chose to worship Hades more as an “identity” choice than as a religious calling. But after visions and actual encounters with him over the course of the past campaign, her fangirl-y obsession has evolved into genuine devotion. She’s still kind of edgy, but she has learned some more restraint, and she has started seeing more of her decisions in the light of her deity. She’s also softened on humans a bit, after Hades seemingly marked another party member (a very messed-up human bard) as important for the coming battles.
I’m looking forward to finding out what her sexuality is, lol. She’s certainly somewhere on the ace spectrum, but I think she might be bi as well. It’s tricky for me to figure this out because her greatest devotion will always be to Hades, and she doesn’t like to really get close to others. She is uninterested in sex generally, but not sex-repulsed; if the proper context arises, I think she might be interested in sex for ritual purposes, which sounds like a fun thing to explore.
Then there’s Remi, @remi-wtmadir. She is a very shy wizard who is beginning to come into her own. She is Dragonborn, but is no longer in contact with any of her family (a prominent dynasty of warriors and leaders) due to her more eccentric interests. She’s in her mid-40s and has spent the last couple decades in academia - studying magic, of course, but also researching her great love, Infernal poetry. She has a small collection and hopes to start her own library.
Remi is quite awkward and is uncomfortable with using her size and apparent fearsomeness to gain any benefits. However, she has a very analytical and strategic mind, which has led her to an interest in war magic and especially battlefield control. She is very attached to her party members, but is not sure how to appropriately express it.
This has only come up a little bit so far in the actual campaign, but she finds religion a bit distasteful. She enjoys the beautiful art, architecture, music, and poetry produced by religious fervor, but in general she thinks it tends to be mindless and that the so-called deities worshipped by others (yes, even her friends) are undeserving of such praise. Her upbringing was religious, and she’s uncomfortable in overtly religious spaces (shrines, temples, etc.) as a result, although she is not intolerant of religious people. She is also a lesbian, but has had very little chance to connect romantically with anyone because she felt especially othered by her race and background. I am hoping she finds someone who would be interested in sharing her life’s work!
Finally, there’s Margana, @marganathered, who is brand new but I find exciting so I wanna talk about her! She’s a human warlock, with a fiend patron (details not yet worked out). She was quite wealthy for a while as she made a living as a famed and beautiful dancer. She loves nice things, but her greatest love is actually for her husband, who is a very gentle, kind, and simple sort of man. Unfortunately, she had a bad injury and was unable to dance. They quickly fell into poverty, and she watched her husband suffer doing long hours of work he loathed. So she sought out a way to repair her injury. She’s not the most patient or learned, so there were some unintended consequences - in regaining her ability, she lost her husband. Her new patron told her she could recover him if a certain quota of destruction was met. If it were up to her, she would probably have few qualms about anything standing in her way, but she knows he would lose his love for her if he found out she had slaughtered innocents to get him back, so she has to be a little more thoughtful about how she meets this quota. Also, her wedding ring is her focus, which I just think is fun.
Other characters I’ve played recently or have in the wings include Matilda (the OG monk who makes terrible decisions and loves kids), Fryryn (genderfluid lizardfolk druid who spent way too long in isolation), Elas (Elysia’s nerd brother who would probably die immediately if I had to actually play him), Buddy (totally normal paladin bro, the best guy you will ever meet), Angelique (dwarf barbarian who really wants to explore her feminine side), H (man? woman? nb? human? elf? two gnomes stacked on top of each other? who knows but they’re a warlock and hella cool), and Issmi (weird human fighter/rogue/monk, would fuck you up as soon as look at you).
