#i keep on remembering these things late at night

Note
Saw somebody mentioning Vox meeting his assistant Dom in hell and I’m just imagining him doing some PR event, flashing that million dollar smile and shmoozing when he looks into the crowd and freezes.
It’s not uncommon for people not to recognize those who they knew in life because of how crazy the changes can be (he has a tv head for hell’s sake) but he recognizes that posture and that confident, no-nonsense look. It’s kind of like looking at a fun house mirror version of someone he used to know.
At this point, he’s been dead for a while and enough time has passed to establish himself (maybe the vees are already a thing or maybe he’s on the rise) so he’s already put his past behind him in exchange for the new and trendy. But now he’s having a flashback to firm hands, a stern voice, and late nights in his office. He blue screens a bit and has to laugh it off in front of the interviewers.
After: It makes sense that you’d be in hell, maybe you’ve been here a while without him knowing. He remembers how good you were at your job. In life you were resourceful and ruthless, taking pride in doing the impossible.
If you were working for someone else it could cause serious trouble for his company. You could also be a major asset if hired but…
Hell is a lot more lax than 1950s America but he’s built a very specific image for himself and power is EVERYTHING down here. He thought he had rebuilt himself and put it all behind him but this could risk everything.
He’d be careful this time, keep you at a distance. He could have you as a skilled worker AND keep his pride intact. It’s a big company, you won’t even have to be in the same room. And he’s so much stronger than he used to be. He can keep his image, it won’t happen again and he totally isn’t thinking about it.
Maybe the assistant joins, maybe she doesn’t… or maybe she makes him beg

Tumblr media
Friday anon you have a way with words oh my god because I love this idea so much. Lowkey you really sold this, you’d be a good writer ☝️🤨
But the way this would throw him through a crazy ass loop. Because he’s probably built himself up in his head, and being an overlord with a, quite literally, inhuman amount of power, he definitely has a new standard for himself.
Because now it’s more than just gender roles and fragile masculinity, it’s an even more fragile god complex. So to think he’s grown out of whatever submissive, borderline weak phase he was in during life isn’t exactly out of the question.
Part of him didn’t want to risk it, but you working for another overlord could cause problems. With his new empire on the rise, he could use an efficient, overachiever type of worker. However, the one thing that would change was the dynamic.
Simply put, there wouldn’t be one. Although he could use your help for his business, an arms length distance would be more than appropriate. After all, being seen as weak in hell could have a more dire effect.
Good thing that wouldn’t be a problem; a strong man in life makes a stronger one in death, after all. So he approaches you after the PR event, trying to act as casual as possible, treating as a ‘Y/n, how longs it been!? Decades?” kind of conversation. Acting as if your relationship was never as intimate as it really was.
Thankfully, you knew to go along with his casual tone, just like he trusted you would. However, you went along with it a little too well. His ‘arms length’ approach was working extraordinarily well, however thanks you to you. His plan was to ignore you in hallways, maybe a small wave at best, and only engage when he specifically had too.
But even then, in closed off hallways in the off chance of seeing each other, his small nod would be greeted with absolute silence. Not even a look in his direction. This has happened a few times, no look, no wave, not even a shoulder bump. Scarily formal.
Were you mad? No, you wouldn’t have wasted time being petty. But if nothing you’ve done has been petty, that means you really just didn’t care. You got your work done, at an incredible pace, as per usual, exceeding all other workers. Your name was known throughout the office and the more business deals you closed for Voxtech, throughout the small business clicks of hell.
But you stayed loyal, not to Vox, but to Voxtech. Did that mean you did care? No, Vox supposed, it meant that just as in life, you liked to finish jobs you started, or at the very least not abruptly switch bases. So does that mean you and Vox’s incredibly hot work affair meant nothing to you?
…Because it didn’t to him either. But there were days he’d catch a glimpse of you in the offices working, and he can’t help but let his mind wonder to those late nights. He’d always put up a fight, but you and your stern tone and firm hands elegantly broke him down, each and every time.
The shame he’d felt at being overpowered and conquered by his female assistant, but his hunger for more lingered on his mind just like your perfume lingered through the rooms you exited.
It’d been years, but seeing as it was the hottest sex in his life and death, he’d remembered the little details; the smell of your hair, your hands, the dominance in your voice, your knowing look, your lips, fuck your hands… and now it’s late and most of everybody else is gone. And Vox makes his way over to your office.
Your door is open, but he still knocks his knuckles against the wood, lingering in the door frame, “Knock, knock.”
You recognize the voice, raise an eyebrow, and to Vox’s dismay, barely glance up your paperwork. Setting your mug on your desk, you adjust yourself on the chair, telling him to “Come in.”
“Y/n,” Vox brushes off a speck of lint off his suit jacket and grins, “Thought I’d check on your work. If i’m correct, you have important paperwork to turn in?”
He hoped he was. In all honesty, he didn’t pay much attention to the employees specific jobs unless it purposely inconvenienced or benefited him. Otherwise, he didn’t check what various paperwork was delivered or checked by who.
You smile, “Just finishing up, easy stuff. It’ll be a breeze for you, just a few signatures.”
Setting your papers down, you finally look at him, “Will that be all, sir?”
Vox’s smile drops. No, it shouldn’t be. It simply didn’t feel right for it to be. But your look wasn’t questioning, instead almost amused, as if you were expecting this, and looking forward to his leaving.
Without anything else to do, Vox simply stalled. Did you think to do this? What about this other thing? Well this is nearly impossible so surely you hadn’t done this! But, some things never change. And you had in fact done everything. Not only that, but your smile grew with every task you’ve already accomplished.
Finally Vox snapped. Just as he’s done before, blabbering aimlessly about your overachieving, meaninglessly raising his voice is his facade display of dominance.
Then you stood up, and considered his outburst. “You know, i’ve been getting other offers. Companies who ‘care’ more. Pay more,” he goes silent, “You want me to stay?”
He nods, going to say something else before you cut him off.
“Anything else you want?” you drawl, backing him into the door.
“Hold on—“
“Beg.” And he does.

one
You had a long day at work.
That’s why it happened, that’s why you fell asleep on the bus. You didn’t fall asleep on the bus and nearly missed your stop because you were up nearly all night finishing work before its deadline arrived because you have a terrible habit of procrastinating things until the last minute. You were just tired, took the first seat you could find, and in the midst of the happiness of being on the way home, and the relaxation of being able to sit down and not have to focus on any work, you fell asleep. That’s exactly what happened.
You had nearly been late leaving work, something you never were, because the second that you could get out of that hellhole you were gone. It was incredibly rare that you didn’t leave on time, because you worked so hard during the day to make sure that you never had anything that would keep you working overtime. And the longer you were at work, the more chance you had to miss your bus home, and you did not want to make that long, lonely, and honestly, quite scary, walk back to your apartment. You’d done that before, and it was not a night that you cared to remember or relive.
You’d gotten an email about twenty minutes before your shift ended, detailing another document that you needed to complete before you left that day. Your manager was a pain in the ass, as if he got paid for that instead of his job. If he did, he’d probably be rich and could quit. You’d glanced over the document, knowing that you could complete it before you got off, and you did, but you dropped an entire file of papers right as you were leaving. You had to stop and pick them all up to put them in your work bag, and that caused you to miss the elevator down to the first floor. So that caused you to have to wait for the next one, and then it was raining as you got out of the building.
You got to the bus stop with plenty of time before the bus got there, and you got on as quickly as possible, tired of being in the rain. You were simply exhausted in general, and as soon as you sat down in a seat, you set your work bag down in your lap, pulling your headphones out and plugging them in, staring out of the window as you played some music through them. You watched all the other vehicles go by, all of them beginning to blur into one long stream of darkness. You were seated close to the front of the bus, and you were grateful for that, so when your stop came, you could quickly get off.  You saw a reflection in the window, across the aisle. It was of a boy, around your age, maybe a year or two older. You didn’t think much more of it, simply enjoying getting to relax, but you relaxed too much.
You jolted awake to see the boy from the reflection standing over you, gently shaking your shoulder. He had an apologetic look on his face, and backed up as soon as he noticed you were awake.
“Sorry, but your stop is next. I didn’t want you to miss it.”
Looking up, you saw that the bus screen clearly displayed your stop next, and without even bothering to think about how this boy had known that, you got up, quietly thanking him, and picking up your stuff so that you could get off of the bus.
two
You’d fallen asleep. You couldn’t believe you’d fallen asleep, at your desk no less. Luckily, you had completed all of your work by that point, but you had dozed off right after. You’d been incredibly tired lately, and you really had no excuse for it. You’d been sleeping a lot, but clearly not getting enough good rest. You just wanted to close your eyes for a couple moments, and somehow you’d ended up falling asleep, and only woken up because the last person in the office had left, and slammed the door way too loudly. Realizing the time, you quickly rushed out of there, luckily right on time today. You managed to get on the bus just as it was about to leave, breathing out a sigh of relief as you threw yourself down into a seat, work bag on the seat next to you.
“Nearly missed it.”
You turned around at the voice, noticing the same boy who had woken you up last week sitting two rows behind, and one aisle over. You smiled a little bit, not being able to find it in you to be annoyed at his comment, given that he had a bright smile on his own face.
“Yeah, almost.”
“Glad you didn’t. Would’ve been a long walk.”
You didn’t know why you were so open to chatting with this complete stranger, but you figured you owed him the politeness. After you had entered the conversation, you found that you were actually enjoying it. You talked for the whole bus ride. You found out the guy’s name was Chris, and that he had three brothers, two of them being his triplet brothers. He worked at a restaurant that was actually quite close to your work, which explained why he was always on the bus when you were. He got on one stop before you, and got off one stop after you. He’d seen you on the bus a lot, and that was how he knew when your stop was.
He actually seemed to be a very nice guy, and the conversation flourished. You shared what you both did for work, a lot about your family and friends, and it really was like you had known each other for ages. You didn’t notice how quickly the bus ride went by until he was pointing towards the bus screen, where the stop before yours was flashing on the lights.
“As lovely as it is talking to you, you have to get off of the bus soon.”
You sighed, smiling, a part of you disappointed in having to leave.
“So I do. I loved talking to you too! I assume I’ll see you on the bus again at some point?”
He returned your smile, handing you your work bag.
“I’m sure you will. Have a safe walk home, okay?”
“I’ll do my best. You too!”
You discovered random photos of Chris in your camera roll when you got home, and they made you laugh. He must have taken a bunch of them while you were putting your headphones back in your work bag. Unbeknownst to him, you favorited them all.
three
You were blaming your tiredness on a bad week. That’s all it was. That had to be all it was because being this tired was completely out of control for you, but you couldn’t deny how the day at work made you want to quit and run away forever. If money weren’t a problem, you would do it.
You got out of there on time today. You weren’t running early, and you weren’t running late either. You left there at five in the evening, on the dot, and you were ready for the day to be done. You were so exhausted that you didn’t feel that much at all, nothing except for the lack of energy in your veins.
Stepping on the bus, you could barely even muster a smile at Chris, sitting in his normal seat. As he saw you, he smiled, but it immediately faded when he saw your face. You looked drained, sad, even, and he wasted no time in getting up to sit next to you, in your usual seat. He looked at you with sadness in his eyes, reflecting your own.
“What’s going on?”
You felt pitiful in your response, and you had no idea why you were even opening up to him. You’d only talked to him once before, but somehow, you felt like you trusted him wholeheartedly already. You felt comfortable speaking to him, even though it was through shared whispers on a semi-crowded bus.
“I’m just so tired.”
He nodded understandingly, and in his head, he was fighting the urge to just hug you, but he knew a lot of people didn’t like to be touched outright without being asked. So, he took a chance, and asked.
“Would a hug help?”
You sighed, nodding.
“A hug would be great.”
You let him wrap an arm around you, and he let you rest your head on his shoulder. His hug was just as comforting as he looked. You couldn’t deny the fact that you felt insanely comfortable with him, and you were so tired that you didn’t have the energy to even think about why that may be. You just let it happen, and so did he. Unbeknownst to you, he was thinking the exact same thing.
He noticed how you didn’t offer up any more information, and he also noticed how your breathing evened out, and your arm around his back relaxed a little bit. Looking down, he noticed that you had fallen asleep on his shoulder. He found it nothing but cute. There was no part of him that could deny the fact that he found you attractive, and he had since the first time he saw you on the bus. He couldn’t believe that he had you asleep on his shoulder, so wholly trusting of him despite barely knowing him, but he had no intentions to disturb you.
He sat there, scrolling on his phone, letting you rest on his shoulder as he waited for the stop before yours to pop up on the screen. He silently begged for the bus to go slower, for the bus to hit every red light possible, for the speed limits to drop, because he wanted to soak in every minute possible that he was getting to spend with you.
Unfortunately, the stop before yours popped up too early for his liking, which meant that it was time to wake you up. As he slowly adjusted you, you woke up, having never been the deepest sleeper, and your face flushed red as you realized that you had fallen asleep on him. You opened your mouth to speak and he cut you off, that same smile back on his face.
“I get the feeling that you’re about to apologize. You don’t have to. Your stop is next, don’t want you to miss it.”
You sighed, getting up, and already missing the comforting feeling of resting against him.
“Thank you. I’ll see you again?”
“Can’t avoid me for long. Walk safe, okay?”
“I will.”
You smiled, waving at him as you got off of the bus, ignoring the happy feeling that went through you when he gave you a huge smile back.
+ one
You got on the bus and were shocked to not see Chris sitting in his normal spot on the bus, and you couldn’t deny that you were slightly sad about it. However, your spirits rose once more when you saw that he was getting on one stop after you. He noticed you, and immediately sat down next to you.
“Thank god you’re here.”
You smiled at his comment.
“Missed me that much?”
“Yes. I did, actually.”
He wrapped an arm around your shoulders, a gentle smile on his face. You talked like you did on the second bus ride you noticed him on, and it felt like a conversation that lasted forever and also lasted just two seconds at the same time. Chris couldn’t deny that he was undeniably attracted to you. You were pretty, funny, and he just loved being in your presence, even though he didn’t have much time with you so far. He really hoped that would change soon, and as the bus approached your spot, he interrupted your conversation.
“This is normally when I tell you to walk home safely, isn’t it?”
You smiled, a thing you did a lot around Chris.
“It is. I suppose you should be saying it?”
“I was actually hoping I could say something different today.”
You raised an eyebrow, a slight smirk on your face, deciding to humor him.
“Oh? And what could that be?”
“I was hoping I could get to walk you home today.”
You had a look of surprise on your face, but not one that displayed that his suggestion was unappealing.
“Are you asking me to let you come back home with me?”
You had a joking tone to your voice, but you were halfway serious about it. You weren’t opposed, though. Chris was incredibly sweet and attractive, and a night with him sounded like fun, even if it was just a night.
“Not necessarily. I could walk you back to my place, but you’d be subjected to meeting the other people who live there and have the same face as me.”
You laughed, standing up, and grabbing your things.
“You can walk me home. And come in, if you’d like to.”
“I would love to.”
You couldn’t deny that things had moved incredibly quickly between the two of you, but years down the line, when you got to tell the story of the way he held your hand the entire way home, made eating microwave food on the couch seem romantic, and even managed to steal a few kisses from you before the night ended, the speed of it didn’t seem to matter.

PHOTOGRAPH “we keep this love in a photograph.” carl grimes x fem!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
tags: angst, death, use of y/n, 8x9, some fluff
a/n: first angst, i was bawling my eyes out while writing this 😓. based off photograph by ed sheeran, lyrics r in italics. i hope ygs enjoy!!
Tumblr media
loving can hurt sometimes. you never really understood how much until now.
FLASHBACK.
“we should do something.” carl says, fiddling with your promise ring which he got you. he saw it while on a run and thought it was pretty, “pretty items for a pretty girl.” he thought. you were sitting criss cross applesauce in front of him, him doing the same. both of his hands were interlinked with yours, giving light squeezes. “and what’s that?” you ask. “we should take a photo. you know for the future.” “for the future?” “like to show our kids.” you wanted to kiss him until you couldn’t breathe. did he really just say that? did he mean it? this boy would be the death of you.
“wait okay so- i just do a random pose?” you say, looking at the camera carl held in his hand. “up to you baby.” he never failed to make you feel special. you were so in love, and you knew he was too. “m’ ready!” “sweet.” he angles the camera to fit you both into the frame before you press your lips onto his cheek. his lips curve up into a smile before you hear the click sound from the camera.
carl held the photo of you both in his hand, examining every part of it. mostly examining you. the way your hair fell perfectly upon your face, the way your lips looked perfect on his skin. god, he just knew he was going to make you his wife one day. you giggled at the light kiss stain you left on his cheek.
PRESENT TIME.
you held the necklace you got when you were fifteen, heavy tears flowing down your face at a rapid pace.
FLASHBACK.
“carl.. you didn’t.” you say, looking at the beautiful silver heart locket in the small black box carl handed to you. “you like it?” he says, grinning from ear to ear. “i love it. i- you didn’t have to.” you say, your eyes getting mistier by the second. “don’t cry pretty girl.” he says, putting his hand on your cheek. “i love you so much carl.” “i love you more.”
PRESENT TIME.
holding him closer til’ our eyes meet. did it have to end like this?
FLASHBACK.
“carl you can’t leave me like this. i wo- i won’t allow it. this isn’t fucking fair.” you say, hitting carl’s chest softly. you were so angry, and sad, you didn’t know how to feel. “y/n you’ll be fine. i know you will. you’re a strong girl. it’ll b-“
“what about- what about the plans we made? who am i supposed to talk to late at night when i have nightmares? w-who am i supposed to cry about stupid things to? carl i can’t do this without you.” you started to choke on your words, the realization hitting deeper and deeper that you would never get to see, to talk to, to hold, to kiss, to love carl grimes ever again.
carl pulls you into his chest for one last hug. you embraced him tightly, trying to make the best of it while it lasted. he then cupped your face and pressed his forehead onto yours. “my girl, my y/n, i love you.”
PRESENT TIME.
you kept his last words deep within your soul. your hands quivered as you slowly opened the piece of paper which carl left for you. your heart stopped when you saw his handwriting. all of his words written on the paper. you wished it could’ve lasted longer. you wished you had more time with him.
“my dearest y/n. i remember when we first met. you looked so scared. you were always quiet, always alone. i felt so bad for you. i would always admire from afar, watching the wind blow through your hair. you were so pretty. i don’t know how i ended up having you as my girlfriend, but it’s the best thing i could’ve ever experienced.
i know you’re sad. i know you’re angry. i’m frustrated too. i meant it when i said i wanted to show the photos to our kids. i meant it every single time i said i love you. because i am truly in love with you. every part of you. and nothing will ever change that. in another lifetime we will reunite once again. i will always be with you. don’t ever be scared. we keep this love in a photograph. we made all of these memories for ourselves.
so you can keep me, hidden in the pocket of your ripped jeans. you won’t ever be alone. wait for me to come home.”
you look at the photo which fell to the floor while you were reading the letter. quiet laughs mixed with sobs come out of your mouth when you remember that day. forever you will have this memory. captured in a photograph.

Late Night Hanma Blurb
A/n: Thought abt this during an itty-bitty road trip today. Smoker Hanma does smth to the chemicals in my brain. Forgive me for any lengthy bad writing. I've had a long day and I just wanna yip yap about one of my fav crazies 🙇
CW: Hanma can give two shits about your lung health but chooses not to when he feels like it, intimidation, threats of forced drug usage, sometimes forced participation in violent activities, thoughts of lovers suicide/murder(?), and whatever other yappin I put in here.
Hanma who smokes a fuck ton and doesn't mind giving you the good ol' second-hand effects of it, but absolutely detests you doing it on your own.
He snatches the stick from your mouth and holds it up and away from you with a small grit in his teeth. Hanma glares down in some curiosity but clearly squints in irritation.
"The hell is this? Don't tell me I'm being a bad influence on you now. If I catch you with one of these again, I won't let you off the hook so easily. You got it, Y/n?"
When you retort, telling him it's no different from when he does it and it is your own choice whether he likes it or not, he merely scoffs with a tilt of his narrow head. Throwing down the cigarette, the sound of his sneaker stomping and scraping it out against the pavement echos through the air with an annoying presence. Shuji demands the rest of your stash with a looming stare that can only put you into a state of sinking discimfort.
"Come on, don't be stubborn. Ya know, if you wanna do it so bad, why don't you try the whole pack? Mine too since it's a shitload better than that cheap stuff."
Reluctant on suffocation and early lung cancer, you begrudgingly hand over your smokes to him. Hanma smacks down on the box with an evidently loud shot of noise and slides it out of your palm. He pockets it with a stretched smile as he leans down towards you.
"See, now it ain't so hard to listen."
He's still ticked off by the fact you think you can do whatever to your body without his permission, but since Shuji is so generous, he'll let you learn from your mistakes. See, he can be nice.
Don't test him though. Next time you're caught defying his selfish wishes, he's beating you down with degrading language and probably also beating whoever was involved. The convenience store employee that sold you the cigs, vape, or maybe even chewing tobacco? Yeah he's taking out his held back frustration on them. Bro is jumping over the counter and tearing their shit up.
Avoiding him because of his brutal and honest-to-God psychopathic personality? Now that's just cruel. Shuji is dragging your ass by the back of your shirt and pushes you to his motorcycle. The leopard print on the back of the bike makes you wanna barf every time you see it, but you got to keep it down if you wanna have enough energy to deal with him. He'll take you out no matter where you are at in that point of time and make you remember who he is; who you think you're messing with.
"Y/n, how many times do I have to tell you? Aim for the nose. That's easy for amateurs like you. Actually, lemme show you how to really deliver a jaw breaker-"
Yeah, he'll show you just how bad it can get with some random thugs on the street. You should be grateful with how gentle he's treating you. Instead of ending up with facial fractures, you have nice dates and thoughtful gifts. He's even teaching you a few tricks. How lucky can you get?
"I'm all done. Shit, I'm starved. Let's go grab a bite to eat, kay?"
Hanma thinks the only way you'll ever keep paying attention to him is if he keeps you and your actions in line. If you go off doing your own thing, his usually unmoving heart can't just stand there and watch you slowly leave him. Despite the negativity be brings into your life, he actually gets really fuckin anxious when he doesn't know or understand what you're doing. It's so troublesome how you make him feel. Yeah, being bored as shit is bad, but seeing you, the only thing that could ever bring him down to his knees unwillingly, slip away with nothing but disdain for him? Fuck no. He won't accept it. Shuji would rather kill you and then himself than have to bear the strange feeling of pain, or what other people call heartbreak, by his lonesome self.
Should he ever say he loves you, that would be the point of no return for the both of you. His hands have you tight in his clutches. No way out, no way back in for anyone else.

Waking up | Kylo Ren x Reader Smut
Waking up | Kylo Ren x Reader Smut One Shot. 18+. MINORS DNI.
Word count: 1.17K
Content warning: fem!reader x Kylo; zero plot just smut, piv (unprotected), a bit sleepy I guess?, fainting mentioned
Author’s note: This is a 'hey, I'm alive' short shot (although I do have a cold). Next part of Insufferable in the works, meanwhile I hope you enjoy this one ;)
Tumblr media
Y/N woke up in the middle of the night.
She didn't remember much. Last night, there was a fight, a scramble with the Resistance somewhere at the base, and she fainted amidst the chaos. It was Kylo who took her into his own arms and, after Y/N had been checked by the medics, brought her to his own chambers. She came to in his arms, and slept in them later on, feeling safer than ever before. It was their first time feeling each other's bodies up close, and despite the exhaustion of the battle, other things did come to their minds. After a day they both spent on exchanging tense glances, as if unsure if they should act on their desires, she fell asleep again… But not for long.
Kylo was sitting in the armchair next to the bed with his shirt open, reading something on his datapad despite the late hour. When he saw her stir, however, he immediately set it aside.
"Finally," he said with clear relief, setting the black, silky sheets aside. Y/N slowly rubbed her eyes, trying to make them work after the nap. She almost felt like she woke up in another dimension.
"Come here," he said quietly, then kissed her gently on the lips as if waking the Sleeping Beauty. Y/N smiled at that, but she knew it was barely scratching the surface. Such light kisses were not what Kylo was known for.
"Do you ever sleep?" she asked as she kept on rubbing her eyes. Kylo let out a short chuckle and soon enough, his hands were on her, unable to stay at his sides.
She suddenly felt him starting to unbutton her shirt. She didn't oppose, quite the contrary - she was grateful, because she felt like she was sweating excessively from the heat of the nap, and yet her pounding head remembered that she had absolutely nothing on under her shirt.
Kylo seemed to have noticed it at the same time. When she felt that nothing was covering her chest anymore, she heard his heavy breathing. It happened and she couldn't even hide behind her hair. Y/N almost jumped when she felt his icy cold hand between her breasts. He didn't even have his gloves on.
"Don't worry, you're safe… Can you breathe normally?" he asked with genuine concern, so different from his usual demeanour.
"Definitely not now," she replied, gasping for breath. He felt her heart beating beneath his hand and he couldn't explain why he couldn't take his hand away. He moved it slightly to the left breast, which had consequences for both of them.
The excitement surged through them with redoubled force. Y/N unconsciously tightened her grip on the sheets, lifting her legs just a little.
"Your heart is beating too fast," Kylo gasped, and then she finally managed to open her eyes. Kylo's huge frame was leaning over her, without his helmet, and he was piercing her with such eyes that made her feel small and completely exposed.
"If you keep on doing this… It will," she looked at his hand, still on her bare breast, "it will beat even faster."
Another shiver ran through her, and a strange, tingling sensation appeared in her lower abdomen. Kylo slowly, with little pressure, moved his hand from her breast, along her belly, to the waistband of her pants. He pulled it down and, although she couldn't see it from her position, it was too low for any decency.
The situation was clear to both of them: the tension that had been growing between them for a long time was finally going to explode. He froze in that position for a moment.
"Do you feel okay?" he whispered.
She looked at his hand, then back at him with a soft smile.
"I do… But you could make it better."
A new wave of excitement washed over both of them as Kylo climbed back onto the bed and hovered over her.
He used the Force to take her clothes off of her after she gave him an encouraging nod. Soon, there was no turning back. She lay before him, fully exposed, shackled by so many emotions she couldn't shake off. Something stirred in Kylo as he stared at her shamelessly, admiring what he had revealed. He had been thinking about this moment ever since he met her years ago.
He raised both of his hands to place them on either side of her, keeping himself comfortably above her. He could see that she liked it as she ogled him from underneath, trying to catch a glimpse of his partially exposed chest.
When Kylo lowered himself to kiss her once again, everything around them disappeared. Flesh began to rub against flesh, and their hearts began to beat in the same rhythm. Y/N buried her hands in his hair, and with one hand he lifted her by the waist, holding her as close to him as possible. When the frenzy subsided enough for her to regain some rational thought, after what felt like an eternity, she tore her mouth away from him and pulled his head towards her.
"I want you, Kylo," she whispered straight into his ear. She made Kylo feel things that he never thought were possible.
He moved closer to her ear, brushing his lips against it and whispered, "You'll get what you want."
He removed the hand that was supporting her waist and moved it to her right knee. He slowly moved one of her legs to the side, then did the same with the other. There was another burst of emotions, and she clutched the sheets again. She closed her eyes, waiting for him to move.
He used the Force again, this time to get rid of his own pants. Y/N knew he was ready and she couldn't wait. Everything else was forgotten, the only thing that mattered to them was the other person. Kylo moved his hand under her waist again to lift her a little, and placed his other hand on the headboard of the bed. He lowered himself, she moaned, and the clock struck midnight. He filled her up to the brim, much larger than she was, able to hold her like a doll. She didn't even expect him to feel half as good as he did.
Kylo waved a hand, putting out all the lights in the room. Their other senses went crazy. He couldn't believe the effect her moan had on him when he jerked forward for the first time. The lack of light captured the imagination of both of them, stirring the blood in their veins.
No one could hear those heavy breaths, moans and whispers, the rustle of the sheets, not even the moon was a witness to them, hidden somewhere behind the clouds from which white fluff was falling. It was just the two of them, darkness and pleasure like they had never experienced before.
And Y/N had a feeling it wasn't the last time she could wake up to this.

Johnny Boy (Part 7)
Werewolf! Johnny x reader
part one is here
Once upon a time, you would've done anything for John Mctavish. He had been your older brother's cool best friend, and you were always desperate for him to see you as more--until one fateful night that ends up with you pregnant and him...gone. Fast forward six years and you've made a good life for yourself with your daughter Emma, with Johnny none the wiser. Until he decides to knock on your door.
Notes--Johnny is showing his true colors so the story is definitely getting a little darker.
You woke up hungover and embarrassed.
You were old enough to know better and a mother for Christ’s sake–by all means too old to be making idiotic decisions that could shake the life you had spent over half a decade building. You could hardly remember what had led up to Johnny doing…the thing that he did, but you were sure you didn’t exactly put up a fight.
Tommy walked Emma back to your house shortly after seven, dressed for work. He pulled the makings of breakfast from the fridge, grumbling some nonsense about two full-grown wolf-soldiers eating him out of house and home. You were trying very hard not to do your walk of shame, refusing to look at the chair or the leftover pizza in the fridge. Emma, of course, was none the wiser, curling up in your lap to nuzzle at your face.
“Did you have fun?” You asked, inspecting her for signs staying up too late.
Emma nodded, beginning a long play-by-play of the previous night’s events, including a humorous addition of her forcing Simon to teach her card games. “We had ice cream after dinner,” she said, whispering it so Tommy wouldn’t hear. “Uncle Tom told me not to tell you.”
Emma couldn’t keep a secret to save her life. You laughed and tickled her sensitive feet.
You couldn’t believe you had been so weak to let Johnny back in again. You couldn’t trust him, no matter what he said about his reasons for disappearing, and adding sex to the equation could only make things even worse.
“Johnny was out late last night,” Tommy said casually, cracking an egg into a pan. “He left after Emma went to bed.”
You couldn’t help but glance at the chair, trying very hard not to remember Johnny’s voice, wrecked and commanding, or his hands, or his tongue-
“I had an early night,” you said. “Charlie called for a raincheck.”
“Mm,” Tom said. “Scrambled?” You nodded, not missing Emma’s curious look. She really was too smart for her own good.
The weekend passed uneventfully–you avoided Johnny by packing up Emma and spending a day in the city, finishing up your Christmas shopping in the shiny shops and taking Emma ice skating in the square. He called you once, but you quickly put Emma on the phone, your stomach aching just at the thought of talking to him.
Emma picked out a pair of red and white striped socks and a box of legos as a gift for her father. She was pleased with her choices, and you tried your very best to smile when she displayed them to you.
Johnny wasn’t even going to be around for Christmas, and that was something you needed to discuss with him. Your little girl couldn’t survive off of no letters or calls–after all, it nearly killed you.
Monday comes with the first real snowfall of the year. You dressed in warm layers, sweaters and soft scarves, Emma’s face pink under the winter jacket you had strapped her in.
Charlie was sitting by your desk at work, two cups of coffee in hand and your favorite pastry in front of your chair. He smiled as you unwound the scarf from your neck, looking appropriately guilty and embarrassed. “I wanted to apologize,” he said, passing you the coffee. “I…it was a dick move. I had a few already and confused the days–I er, I tried to call you in the morning when I had come to my senses but you didn’t answer.”
Honestly, you had forgotten about it completely. You raised a brow at the man. “I took Emma to the city for Christmas shopping. We were busy.” Charlie nodded. “Yeah, of course, it’s the holidays. I just wanted you to know that I’m sorry, I feel like I’ve fucked things up.”
You searched around for anger, or even mild irritation, but it was gone, used up entirely by Johnny. “It’s alright, Charlie, thanks for the coffee.” Charlie smiled again, relieved. You took a seat at your desk and listened to him chatter about drama with Chris and Jan at the copying machine.
You watched his hands. They were good hands–man hands, if you will, pale hair on his knuckles and a silver ring on his thumb. Johnny’s hands were wide and thick with dark hair, his nail beds always worn raw from the shift from stubby human nails to sharp claws.
Why were you comparing? What was wrong with you?
Why couldn’t you just let sleeping dogs lie?
Charlie claimed your attention once more, following you to the carts of books that needed shelves. “I was wondering…I know I’ve acted like a right bastard, but I was thinking I could make it up to you. How does dinner tomorrow sound? I’ll make the food and supply the wine, you just bring yourself.”
You wanted to say no. That meant that you would have to see if Julienne would keep Emma for a few more hours, not to mention your attraction to Charlie had taken a nose-dive when he ditched you the first time. If only your body held all men accountable–your issue with Johnny would be solved overnight.
That was the thing that made you consider it. Johnny. He was your kryptonite, your achilles heel, and you needed to burn his touch off your skin.
“Alright,” you said. “If I can get a sitter for the bear.” “Deal,” Charlie said, grinning. He kissed your cheek gently, mouth warm and chapped.
Johnny texted the next morning, asking if he could take you and Emma out to lunch on your break. He offered to drop her off at Juliene’s house as well, saving you the walk.
You needed to rip the bandaid off. He wasn’t going to stay away forever, and it didn’t matter he had eaten you out while you were very sad and very drunk, you couldn’t keep him away from Emma.
“Em, do you want to see Johnny today?” You asked, hoping against hope she would shake her head.
Instead, your darling girl perked up, ears twitching as she nodded eagerly. The full moon was coming quickly, so her behavior was…off, her eyes growing brighter by the day. Johnny used to refuse to be around you on the week of the full moon. He disappeared from your house and would show back up a few days later, looking exhausted and on edge, twitching if you tried to touch him.
You sighed.
Where should we meet you?
Johnny’s reply was lightning quick. You still like Angelo’s?
Angelo’s was a sandwich shop you used to frequent with Johnny, you hadn’t been in ages. That’s fine.
Johnny texted back something enthusiastic and barely legible.
Julienne had agreed to watch Emma for a couple more hours without irritation, saying she could use the money for a fancy new garden gadget she had been eyeing. You planned on grabbing it for her for Christmas, a token of your appreciation for her help with Emma.
You were going to give Charlie one last chance, if this dinner didn’t pan out you would find some other patsy to take you out every other weekend.
Johnny was going to be gone soon, after all, and Emma is unpredictable with these things. She could take it as easily as she took the death of her grandfather, or it could be…catastrophic.
You eyed your phone, forcing yourself to do the hard thing that neither of you wanted to face.
I was hoping you would talk to Emma about you leaving soon.
There. You said it. You tossed your phone on the bed and finished getting dressed, herding Emma to school before you forced yourself to look at his response.
Of course, hen, we’ll talk about it.
Work went by quickly in your haze of anxiety. What would he say to Emma?
What would he say to you?
You didn’t expect him to be waiting at Emma’s school. He was leaning against his truck, all twinkly blue eyes and a sharp smile that reminded you that he left for you. Because he couldn’t control himself.
Johnny was trying to be good. You see it now, you remembered the way he used to follow you home after school, walking close behind you like he thought someone was going to steal you away. He wouldn’t share food with anyone, not even Tom, but if you asked he would always tear whatever it was in half and put it on your plate.
Johnny and Tom had been playing video games in the living room when you left for your first date. You were sixteen and he had just hit twenty one, and he had looked at poor Dan Hilton like he wanted to rip out his guts and serve them up with eggs.
You had chalked it up to brotherly feelings, or the simple fact that Johnny has never liked to share.
To see it for what it was felt…odd. You had heard about wolves claiming human spouses, putting a bite on their throat like a wedding band and never, ever letting go.
“Hey,” you said tiredly.
Johnny straightened–he wanted a hug, you could see it in the way his hands twitched. “I figured I would give the two of ye a ride, yeah? It’s fuckin’ freezin’ today.” “Alright,” you said, glancing at your phone. The bell should be ringing any minute, and Johnny’s attention would be on Emma and not you. His attention was dangerous, it made you stupid and reckless.
“I heard you’ve got a hot date tonight,” Johnny said, going straight for the jugular.
You stiffened. “That’s none of your business.” “Ach, lass, you wound me.”
“Johnny, the other night…it was a mistake. I was drunk and lonely and you were there.” You didn’t think it was possible to hurt Johnny, but you did. It flashed across his eyes, his jaw tightening into a straight line.
You felt your stomach twist–god you were handling this all wrong-
He took a step, tilting your chin up with the pad of his rough finger. He wanted you to look at him, to watch his pupils swallow up the bright blue of his eyes. “I’m not a good man, kitty. Hell, I’m not even a man, not really. I know I’ve hurt you, and I’ll repent every fuckin’ day for it, but if you let him touch you, I’ll gut him like a goddamn fish.” “How dare you-” you began, but Johnny gripped your chin then, pressing the tips of his claws into your skin lightly. “You want me,” Johnny said, his gaze hazy and wild as it dropped to your mouth. “Even now. I should bite you right here, make it real fucking simple for you.”
There it was–the wolf that he had hidden from you for so long, the killer wearing the skin of your brother’s best friend. You forced yourself to hold his stare, feeling the sharp prick of his claws on the delicate skin of your throat.
“I want a proper husband, John,” you said softly. “I want a real father for my child, someone who will be there for the birthdays and graduations and holidays. I want someone to sleep beside me every night, someone that doesn’t make me do this alone.”
You knew you were driving a knife right between his ribs–you knew how badly this would hurt him. Johnny had spent his childhood not being right for his mother, not being human enough, gentle enough.
His eyes were so bright and so lost.
“I’ve been alone for six years, John. I don’t ever want Emma to know what that feels like.”
Johnny was silent, his breath coming fast and rough. “I’ll never let another man have you,” he rasped. “You’re mine. Both of you.”
He pressed closer, nuzzling your jaw with a low growl. “I’ll be a good mate, hen, I suppose it’s only right that I prove myself before we have our next pup.”
“No!” You hissed, pushing him away. “Enough, Johnny. You’ll be gone soon and I’ll have to deal with the fallout as per fucking usual.”
Your words weren’t working–they were working him up instead, like Emma when she watched the neighbor’s squirrels chase each other in the trees. His heart thudded like a drum under your palm.
“You’re making a scene, kitty,” he said slyly, tilting his head like he wanted nothing more than to give chase. “Now hush, we’ll talk about this later. Emma shouldn’t see Mum and Dad argue.” You opened your mouth to argue, so furious you could hardly think.
“Mum?” Emma sang, bouncing out of the school. “Oh, Johnny!” She ran to him, the little traitor. Johnny smiled, his sharp edges softening as he swung her up into his arms. “Ach, my girl’s getting heavy,” he teased, nuzzling her face. She mimicked his movements, her smile bright and happy–they were scenting each other.
You looked away. “C’mon you two,” you said, forcing your tone to lighten. “I only have an hour for lunch.”
You barely touch your food, your stomach twisting and turning in furious knots. A sandwich, your old favorite, sits in front of you, courtesy of Johnny.
The audacity of men. You were the one who had spent countless nights bouncing up and down the hallway with Emma in your arms, exhausted and sore, your breasts swollen and aching from her sharp teeth–yet, Johnny was quickly a new favorite. They were the same, after all, the same species, the same aggressive, needy temperament.
Johnny wiped a bit of mustard from Emma’s cheek, humming at her irritated whine. She was close to her shift, and her skin was sensitive. “Dinna fash, baby, it’s the moon,” he crooned, pressing a soft kiss to the crown of her head. “I woke up this morning w’my skin crawling.”
That was another bump in the road. Emma’s shifts had gotten harder and harder over the years, more anger, more pain, and the internet had barely any information about early childhood shifts. Jack hadn’t been concerned, saying Johnny had the same issues at that age–the only difference was that Johnny was a feral little thing that used to sneak out during the full moon and pick off the strays of London. Emma couldn’t bring herself to squash an ant, much less devour a cat or dog–but then Johnny hadn’t had much human influence, at least, not until you and Tommy.
“Emma, tell your Ma that if she doesn’t eat, we’ll have to feed her ourselves,” Johnny said. He was smiling, but his eyes were sharp.
Emma sniffed at your sandwich. “You didn’t have breakfast either, Mum,” she said accusingly. “You always tell me food is good for your brain.”
You cocked an eyebrow at her. “Maybe I’m not hungry.”
“Eat, kitty,” Johnny said, his tone rougher as if you were one of his soldiers. “You look dead on yer feet.” You took a bite, just to appease them. You could still feel the small, stinging cuts his claws had scraped on your jaw.

Lying in bed thinking about the fantasy dungeon adventure AU. Trying to figure out why Gaius and his fellow adventurers are in it. What motivation drives them to explore it? Is it a simple "it's our job" thing? Do they need something to save someone?
And then I thought about the dungeon, and maybe it's a changing, shifting thing. Maybe it's more of an entity or organism that feeds by assimilating outsiders into itself. That could explain why there are so many traps that mess with the physical features of the adventurers.
Maybe it trapped the team in a lower level by opening and then closing a new passage. Then the team has to try to find a way out while dealing with wilder, less mapped parts of the dungeon. Could be a risk-reward sort of situation.
