Mountain trudging back to the abbey, covered in dirt and his muscles aching, after a long day outside looking after the grounds and greenhouse. he eats a quick dinner alone in the kitchen and gets back to his room, his plan being to take a quick shower then tumble into bed, but when he opens the door to his bathroom hes met with Dew. theres a warm bath already waiting for him, complete with flower petals and clouds of bubbles floating on the surface. the smell of lavender and chamomile fills the air. Dew helps undress him and they get in the tub together. he takes his time as he washes and massages Mountain's aching body. he whispers praises and affirmations into his skin, bidding farewell with a soft kiss before moving on to another spot. Mountain sighs as he feels the stress melt away and leave his body. Dew can take as long as he needs seeing as he can keep the water warm, and Mountain has never been more grateful to have fallen in love with a fire ghoul than in that moment. Dew sits on the edge of the tub as he brushes out the knots and leaves and twigs from the earth ghoul's hair before washing it. hes careful not to press to hard into his scalp because he knows that'll cause a headache so he keeps his touch light. Mountain feels like he could fall asleep if it werent for Dew dipping down to give him a chaste kiss on the lips every time his eyes start to droop. a little "hey, no falling asleep on me yet, big guy. you know i can't carry you to bed." when Dew's finished his work and Mountain's fingers have turned to prunes, its time to get out. Dew helps dry Mountain off before they crawl into bed together. before they drift off, Mountain bumps his antlers against Dew's horns. a sign of thanks from a very tired ghoul. Dew smiles and nuzzles his cheek into the fur on Mountain's chest. he'll always be there for him. they'll always be there for each other.

Valentine’s Day for Ghost and Soap has never been anything special, especially since it doesn’t often fall on a day they’re not working.

But Soap always wakes up to some small gift left out for him, either on Valentine’s Day or some time close to it, depending on whether or not he or Ghost is around.

Soap always draws something for Ghost for the occasion, in a journal Ghost had bought with a request that Soap fill it for him. Same deal as before, with time and place.

Of course there’s also the usual affections—stealing kisses when possible, being in each other’s space as much as they can manage. But their little rituals are usually what makes the day mean anything to them.
