My main OC is Ívarr and y'all gonna see him a lot. This piece of lore is more or less what this dude is all about -

re: previous post, blog tips!

if just a general pjo blog, that's your house man do what you want. In general though just being frequently active and posting original posts will draw people to your blog. That's just kind of how blogging works. tbh same applies to most social media. just tag things appropriately and you're good (don't crosstag [tag irrelevant stuff, ex: tagging specific characters on a post that does not reference them specifically] and you probably need less tags than you think in general. fandom tags + whatever your own blog's organizational tags are is probably sufficient.) I'll throw some general pjo tagging tips below a cut at the bottom of this post. And obviously don't repost other people's stuff, that's a given. Reblogging is fine, obviously, that's a different thing. The only other thing I would specifically advise is making sure to enable custom themes on your blogs, just cause it's a nice way to show people you're not a bot, customize your blog, and it's just way easier to navigate. Just pick a theme that has very clear buttons, please. Previous/next page, like, reblog, etc. I've personally been enjoying the theme Vision recently.

For askblogs specifically - particularly if your askblog is heavily story-based or OC-based, people aren't likely to reblog frequently from you, so it can be hard to get traction on your askblog. That's just kind of the nature of askblogs. People are also very unlikely to reblog advertisement posts for askblogs. Ergo, best way to get traction on your askblog is to post general art or etc (depending on genre of askblog) occasionally, particularly towards the beginning of the blog, especially little memes and jokes. Also again just posting regularly and tagging appropriately. If you need asks, you are allowed to send yourself prompts or ask your friends to send you ones. I also personally recommend saving asks, since some you might be able to use later or maybe just don't have an idea for yet.

Also if you're starting an askblog, ABSOLUTELY MAKE SURE you open your inbox! Turn on anon if you're able. And if your inbox gets overwhelmed only turn off anon, don't close the inbox completely. Turning off anon will limit the amount of asks you get by a lot. Most askblogs i've seen that have become inactive or died are askblogs that closed their inbox and lost steam as a result, or never opened their inbox to begin with and didn't realize. Also label your blog clearly as an askblog. Askblogs and rp blogs are different things. If it's an RP blog, don't label it as an askblog, and vice versa, unless it is genuinely intended to be both, in which case label it as both, but know 90% of the time if you intend for it to be both it will end up purely an rp blog anyways. Askblogs, even text askblogs, are just a different beast. You can always make two sideblogs for the same character if you'd like.

Tagging advice below the cut cause this got long:

With PJO specifically, general tagging tips - "pjo" and "riordanverse" are the main two to tag stuff with for main series stuff. You can tag stuff "percy jackson" cause that is the series name but i personally try to refrain from that on this blog at least cause it's also a tag shared with a specific character. Obviously if it's side series, MCGA + Magnus Chase or TKC + The Kane Chronicles respectively, plus "riordanverse." I dont usually tag HoO/Heroes of Olympus or TOA/Trials of Apollo unless it is very specifically about those series and not just the characters from that series. Really please stop flooding the HoO and TOA tags with irrelevant stuff. Just keep it to specific-to-that-series.

Also PJO specific character names i just do [whatever name they usually go by in the series] + [surname or if lacking surname, "[series abbreviation]"], so like Leo would be "Leo Valdez" or Dakota would be "Dakota PJO." For deity chars i tag same as no-surname, "[god] PJO" or "[god] TKC" or whatever. For Reyna specifically there seems to be a lot of variations of how her name gets tagged, such as including her middle name or not including the accent or hyphen. I usually try to tag her as "Reyna Ramírez-Arellano."

I usually order tags [series] > [characters] > [etc] + [personal blog organization tags and/or any content warnings necessary] > [commentary tags]. For awhile it was tumblr only counted the first like 5 tags for what to show in tag searches, i think it might be first 20 tags now? unclear. doesn't really matter.

Anyways don't crosstag cause that's spam and otherwise do whatever you want forever have fun

I'm 27, Non-Binary, and I use They/Them pronouns. I've been doing art pretty much all my life, and I do it somewhat professionally. I enjoy all types of art, but my mains are drawing and animation - but don't be surprised if there are some crafts or other medias here and there too!

I am autistic, and have severe social anxiety (among other disabilities), so please be patient with me if I take a while to respond, have an under/overreaction to something, or do not understand something right away! I also tend to forget things a lot, so you can always give me a reminder, if it has been a while - just please do not spam me!

I love getting asks about my characters, and AUs, even if I cannot answer them all - I have many askblogs for more specific characters/settings, which are linked below if you wanna check them out!

I tend to vent a lot! I use art as a form of catharsis and to avoid hurting myself irl, so there might randomly be some upsetting content posted, but I do tag these with 'vent tag', and the appropriate CW tags - please see below for them

Fanart of my characters and AUs is okay, and always appreciated! Please try to represent the characters(s) the best you can, and ask before doing making significant design changes (such as a 'Genderbend' or 'Species Swap' etc). Interests

I am currently mainly into Pizza Tower, and the OCs I have created for it, so that is mostly what you will see at the moment! - I have currently two AUs I am focused on, mainly the one where it's just my interpretation of the game (no name for this one yet), and then my secondary called 'Cheeseshop AU', with Brick the Rat as the protag, and species are swapped! (So Brick is human, Peppino and Gustavo are rats etc)

I also have a lot of original stories, characters and concepts, and will post those too! I tend to jump from idea to idea and back again, so do not mind if I am talking about one genre in one post, and then it completely changes the next post. (Although most are just slice-o-life with fantasy elements)

Other interests are: FNAF (previous hyperfixation, kinda comes and goes and may have occasional posts here), Bugsnax (also a previous hyperfixation, mainly when the game came out but not so much any more), Pokemon (not a hyperfixation, I just think they're neat), and... That's pretty much it, that I can think of! I don't tend to get into fandoms much, and I just focus on one thing for years haha

The moment anything below the belt is mentioned, even if muses are still clothed, it will be tagged. I have some partners who are not comfortable with anything NSFW so out of respect for them I will over tag my naughty threads. My partners' comfort is very important to me.

i personally don't enjoy seeing the majority of alastor shipping content and will never make any serious shipping art. for cursed reasons or crackshipping? sometimes. (heck i don't even know how to draw a kiss properly). if i'm not consistent with this, it's because sometimes i don't recognize shipping art as actual shipping until much later so bear with me

Why is your art style so inconsistent?

lmao so i actually switch between using a bunch of drawing tools with varying proficiencies. i tend to do doodles on procreate or clip studio paint, and animate on krita. i would say that i'm probably best at using clip studio and krita since im more used to using a drawing tablet than a tablet screen. also i just like drawing in multiple styles for my personal art

RP PET PEEVES / DEALBREAKERS : i think the biggest dealbreaker is having a lot of negative/guilt trippy ooc. and idk if this one is a common belief so much these days or maybe just not around here but the whole elitist attitude of higher word count = better writing. omg did that mentality grind my gears lmao. also just being intolerant in general of people's ideas/portrayals/anything and feeling the need to express it rather than just walking away.

MUSE PREFERENCES : female or femme apparently lol. when i had a multi they were all female characters so yeah. idk what it is, maybe i just put way too much pressure on myself when it comes to male characters but i just can't feel comfortable writing them even though there's so many i love. 😭 i also can't do villains. i love morally gray and angst and even dark themes as long as it can be balanced out with fluff and comfort and sweet things.

PLOTS OR MEMES : as much as i appreciate the ease of memes, they're a hit or miss a lot of the time for me. i rarely post them much nowadays but i do still like to send them in for others! i feel a lot more comfy plotting something first, even if it's just the bare minimum cause i like the certainty of being on the same page and making sure we want to write the same ideas.

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES : both! i just write whatever i'm feeling at the moment really, sometimes that's something short and casual or more long and introspective.

BEST TIME TO WRITE : definitely in the morning, or generally anytime right after i wake up while my brain still feels refreshed and uncluttered.

assuming something about my muse, like something personality or motive wise i mean. sure, he's a canon character, but i have thoughts on literally every little thing in the game regarding him. analysis... headcanons... they all have their place and build upon my understanding. this is basically the only muse i write atm so i have the time to spend like this on him and it means a lot to me when people observe my flavor of sampo in the light i've tried to put him in. the same would apply to any other muses i write

BEST EXPERIENCE : oh gosh, i think the best experience i had with my little hyv nook was exploding the dash with jing yuan's "IM GONNA FUCK THE GODS" crack born from a silly mistake LMAO. in general though the best experience i had was an exchange i had with one of my closest friends @overx, which was an ask i sent to them and one i received in response for a deity's altar meme. i cried so much, because it was one of the first times my OC had truly felt... seen. i think about it all the time

RP PET PEEVES / DEALBREAKERS : too many to list, so here's a few!

- pedestals. i want nothing to do with them. don't elevate me or other people to some sort of standard or anything like that, it genuinely sickens me to the point where i now struggle to accept normal compliments (working on it tho).

- writing for the sake of ships. some people really just want to prioritize shipping and writing romance and that's fine! you do you, but i personally cannot do it. if you approach me for a ship without us having established a dynamic for our muses before that i'm also going to feel really weird about it because i can't read the chemistry, particularly if i don't know you too well (this is also why i'm usually slow to propose ships, because i greatly prefer some sort of dynamic to bounce off of either in canon or through rp).

- teeny tiny text, elaborate formatting or oppressive colors. i'm not going to give myself a headache attempting to read someone's stuff, if it's too hard for me to decipher your posts and especially rules because you favor aesthetic over accessibility, i'm hard blocking because we will not mesh.

MUSE PREFERENCES : looking at my muse history i notice that i'm drawn to those of a nurturing type, whether it's gentle and kind or tough love. i also adore playing around with the idea of mortality or the lack there of, and what that looks like for different characters. contrasting philosophies are also incredibly fun for me! it's kind of obvious with just my muses here alone

PLOTS OR MEMES : oh it's plots for me, which is an issue because it strongly limits my ability to freely interact with others. i really really need to practice using memes more but i am Slow with my inbox and easily overwhelmed

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES : yes! i love both, short replies especially are so fun when it comes to rapid-fire dash shenanigans, but the depth of a long reply is always fun and delicious

BEST TIME TO WRITE : after my classes or while i'm in transit and have nothing better to do! can't do cars though those are too bumpy

BEST EXPERIENCE : honestly sobbing my eyes and soul out because of interactions or potential scenarios that I discuss with friends. I crave that sweet, sweet pain. It's at times like those that I really go, 'wow, all this that we create... Art, really. This is what makes life worth living'. It is honestly one of the best feelings for a writer to feel.

RP PET PEEVES / DEALBREAKERS : I don't think I have many...? Mostly because I am pretty chill with stuff. I guess I will mention the usual god-modding stuff or forcing headcanons onto my character, though it rarely happens.

If I have to give a more specific answer, though...? Hm. This might sound controversial, but it is heartbreaking to see that people do not distinguish fiction from reality anymore. Especially when that translates into attacking//bashing//starting fandom witch hunts, only because someone likes certain contents or ships you don't like or find "immoral".

I have been roleplaying for many years and I have always thrived in fandoms whose contents or nature could be easily seen as controversial ( if you know Diabolik Lovers, I'm blowing you a little kiss ), so it's rather weird to see people so sensitive these days. Not that you have to enjoy x or y, but if you don't, then simply curate your own space and go on with your day. You don't have to attack others or make them feel inferior for enjoying something you don't. I've seen firsthand, multiple times, people who stopped writing, drawing or just creating in general because they were attacked for it. Not cool.

TLDR; Just let people enjoy what they want and write what they want. I don't need to be more direct than this to get my point across. Learn to differentiate a person's interests from their true nature. If you're not capable of doing that, then... Well. We're probably not meant to be.

MUSE PREFERENCES: For settings, I prefer writing angst! Fluff! And surprisingly domestic, day-to-day stuff. But when it comes to muses, I tend to lean toward complex, multifaceted ones. Usually ones that choose to present themselves in a certain way and carry out a performance of sorts, that may not truly represent their deepest inner musings, thought patterns, or genuine feelings.

PLOTS OR MEMES : I tend to lean toward memes because I'm not very good at plotting + Kaeya has a mind of his own. I'm just here to type, he leads fdghjhr

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES : Long! I do not know how to be concise and I love partners who match that energy www

PLOTS OR MEMES : I fair better with memes because I do best with spontaneous interactions. Plotting is fine with me, though I tend to deviate a bit from a strict outline since my muses drive the interaction.

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES : Both. I have a habit of being verbose and end up writing extremely long replies, but short back-and-forths/headcanoning are equally as interesting to me as novella replies.

BEST TIME TO WRITE : Any time? I craft replies at work, when I'm chilling outside, between game sessions, etc. My inspiration doesn't really wane, it's more so if I can make the writing read well.
