Daily reminder that it happened twice for someone to be compared to Oromë while riding into battle. The first one was Fingolfin. The second one was Théoden.
Fingolfin, burning with so much rage, Beleriand ablaze, his nephews dead, eyes so bright and inhuman and otherwordly that he gets mistaken for a Vala. And he challenged Morgoth to a fight, and wounded him seven times, and scarred him for the rest of eternity, and orcs made no boast about that duel, and no songs were sung about it, for the sorrow was too deep.
And Théoden. Just. Théoden. Whose mind was poisoned, whose son was dead, and the world was falling apart around him, but who would not stand down and would not give up. And the armies of Rohan came, the hosts of Mordor wailed, and terror took them, and they fled, and died, and the hoofs of wrath rode over them.
Something about Fingolfin riding out to challenge Morgoth in wrath and despair, raging at the world and nothing going as it should be — something about Théoden riding out in wrath and hope, because there is a better future and he will be damned if he doesn't do everything in his power to lead the world to it.

i think people tend to forget how smart Jay is and can be
like. yeah he’s a massive dumbass, like 90% of the time and all that
but he was also introduced as the inventor, engineer of sorts. a fuckin nerd if you will
this dorky ass make-jokes-to-seem-okay dumbass deserves more recognition cause personally i see and feel like ppl just take the ‘comedy relief’ he’s portrayed as as his like, one defining thing too often
i mean not everyone, but amongst all the love and talk about how other characters have so many layers to them, i rarely if ever see ppl talk about how Jay has. so so many layers as well and it’s honestly a shame cause he’s my favourite character, but maybe i’m a little biased bc of that idk
Love how the entirety of the Hunter fandom heard of the whole mountain challenge and immediately said: Hunter crushed that challenge. Hunter did that challenge as a child and he absolutely killed it. Hunter, the magicless half- a- witch, took the record that Lilith Clawthorne made, Lilith Clawthorne, head of the Emperor's coven, one of the most powerful witches alive, and snapped that record in half, because he had to and because he was stronger than everyone thought and because he didn't take no for an answer.
me when miles talks abt his endless love for performing and not caring whether it is a big festival stage or little pub down the road and always opening up to helping young musicians and artists because they are all in the same struggle and they gotta look out for each other
mickey obviously has several of moments of huge, grand-gesture-type character development moments, but some of my favorite are the smaller ones that go a little more unnoticed.
for example, yes, obviously mickey being out and whole-ass marrying Ian is huge progress for his character, but this little moment right here is one of my favorite more subtle developments for him
the way ian grabs his hands and mickey just looks down lovingly and smiles when ian puts their hands in the air, slightly bashful about it. he is publicly letting ian take the lead in front of all those people and appears to not even think twice about it. that is so so special for him and minor things like that represent his growth in such a unique way.
anways, i adore little moments like these that are less of a like a grand display of how much he’s grown, but rather a small little nod to his development :)
