cannot resist using the polls to make up a little collaborative story lol.. Not sure how much I can keep it up with my low energy/health problems lol, but I'll try to draw a new picture (+ write a small text blurb and new action options to vote on) each day based on the past day's results, at least for a while. Kind of like a 'sketch a day' type challenge, except story based with votes choosing what happens next. :0

#trusty old MSpaint.. the best program for very quick sketches lol #also I'm sure other people have already done this - even though I havent seen it I know its out there. If there's currently #some really popular story poll going around or soemthing I'm not trying to copy anyone. i just love things like this and do them #whenever possible (collaborative stories with friends on social media messages. making little text adventure games #in forums. etc. etc.). Immediately once I saw the poll feature I was like OH!!! IT COULD BE USED FOR THAT!!#anyway!#also posting on my art blog since it is kind of an art challenge-y sort of thing and then it wont clog up my main #blog. I can just reblog only the most recent poll on there #Hopefully will keep it up for at least a week - or longer - though I may have to skip days in the middle #my chest muscle stuff is still kind of flared up so it limits how long I can sketch on the computer #though these only take like 20-30 min depending on amount of detail so #hopefully managable llol #but yeah!!! vote!!#choose this little elf (and his cat)'s fate! : 0

“what type of gay” yes. the easiest way to explain it is bisexual. that being said: i use bisexual surprizingly little. i call myself lesbian and gay all the time (as in wlw and mlm). guys i fucked up idk where i am on the aromantic spectrum but that’s fine. fun fact: it’s been over a month of this identity crisis my personal record :) also im pretty sure polyamorous and will joke abt kissing u if ur cool with it :3

“gender???? you never mentioned gender???” no i didnt. im genderfluid. which explains the pronoun changes. im also trans, nb, genderqueer, and any of the genders and terms i need to articulate what the silly lil dudes in my head make me feel.

What is this?

'Quest tober is an event where people can request fics for a certain time period! I usually like to challenge myself, aaand I've certainly been slacking on regular requests, so I figured I'd give this a go for a second time. You may request anything, as long as it goes along with the rules in the pinned guidelines. Send a PM or ask if you're not sure about something, or if there's a character you think I might do and or have done before but isn't up there.

i havent actually talked about my thoughts on khruangbins new album... which is obviously good but i simply didnt have the time to get into it :/ ive been hoping to give it a good listen, no skips no nothing, on a day off but work has been kicking my ass a bittt... anyway! Pon pón is fun. it came out as a single few weeks back and ive gotten really into it.... sooooo groovy

vampire by sholto is what some of you might recognize from love and food playlist? but ohhhhhh fuckkkkkkk its so good. i dont even know this guy and i didnt think much of it other than "yeah its cool" when i added it to my library. such a great and sinister feeling jazzy number.... AND WHEN THE SAX HITS!!!!!!!!! thats so good. please listen to vampire.

more radio pop!!!!! MORE MAINSTREAM KEVIN PARKER!!!!!!!! i do love tame impala's older/more niche sound just as much as i love him "selling out" (whatever, i will defend his minions and elvis tracks until i die and i will MEAN it) so i am STILL excited for this album even though the roll-out of singles has been consistently awful. but i guess dua lipa is a slow riser always (however long did it take her to peak on charts with 'dont start now'???). plus obviously DANNY!!!!!! YAY FOR DANNY!!!!!

its been a really good spring so far, with so many of my faves releasing music, and obviously that includes sebastian. i remember watching the runway show this was made for, but for some reason i didnt hear the whole track - maybe it was just highlights or something? i really love the synths in this one. its unusual for him to bring the choral singing in the start instead of the climax of the track, but its really well done (as always)! i wish, i wiiiiiiiiish there was something happening about the new album, too.

charli's really being weird recently about everything but goddddddd this slaps so good. im usually not that big on gesaffelstein but i do love ag cook so much. its going to be such a good clubbing record like literally.... its crazy she STILL gets labeled hyperpop. i also like club classics, but b2b is TRULY superior out of this double drop....

the beat of this one is just stuck in my head at all times. its cute! fun! perfect for spring. theyre soon to release their debut album, i need to remember to check it out. while its not SOTY material so far, its just cool and pleasant.

more dance sounds - i like this one a lot! really catchy. ive never really been into 1tbsp but yeahhhhh with this one, i get it.

ok i for sure posted this one before, but its ok bc it got like 0 or 1 likes or something. starwolf is a band im really hopeful for!!!! their 2020 album was pretty interesting, but its their three last singles that got my ears all perked up. some daytime disco vibes in them, and its really cool considering i was somewhat.... underwhelmed by poolside's last album. so, i feel good about starwolf now! fingers crossed for summer, as it would be a perrrrrrrfect record to replay over and over during hot sunny days.

and SUUUUUUUUUUUCHHHHHHHHH a spring favorite for the end. kind of getting lost in this one.... number one song i keep thinking of during sweet sunny walks recently. unbelievably cute. 10000% recommend.

ok the biggest change i did just bc i found the mogami arc really interesting and didnt want to wipe it from canon entirely was making it so minori actually transferred to mobs school irl and actually bullied him rather than that happening in another dimension just to torment him. i didnt include it in the og post bc the word count was super long already and there wasnt a natural way to segway it but mogami is reigens age (and one of the few people who tolerates him) and ends up getting possessed by minori like 1/4th of the way through the storyish? and instead of having """good""" intentions like mogami did in punishing people who do bad things she is still the bully she died as lashing out at the weak willed doormat esper kids that remind her of the one that got her stuck like this (mob tried to save her after he realized what he'd done but just ended up keeping her from passing on + making her spirit super strong + growing a fuck ton of trees around him).

least changed is tsubomi like honestly i havent even decided what shes doing, she lived about the same life and moved away at about the same time and is just living a normal person's life.

most kinship: yknow i do not know! i think Clara Ragnvindr is up there though. tried to craft a fic with her and Flora once and wow, yeah, i was coming out of my own oc's mouth. Mori Yoshiro is suuuper up there too, though. he's just My Lil Guy.

most projection: i havent explored many of my guys in as much detail as i would like i dont have a projection oc yet ^^; if i had to pick one tho id say Yoshiro hes been around for so long.

need rework/dk what to do w: i cant say i've done much with........ lots of my concepts. i just needed to know that these lil mipys exist/will exist in their parents' happy futures. so i dont know what to do with a lot of my fankids. i just make em tbh the creation process is enriching

first up my pal ace :3

i mean like fuck dude. what HAVENT i said already about my favorite guy in the multiverse. he is my everything. nobody understands him like i do.

im going to be a bit unorthodox and actually explain in relative detail why i filled in (or partially filled in) what i did

everyone but me is wrong about them <3 - this is simply true. nobody gives this man enough credit, nobody sees him for all of his facets, its like people pick One trait (friendly, loyal, snarky, emotional, etc.) and decide thats Him. like they miss the forest for the trees with phoenix. people just dont get it. other peoples headcanons are also just wrong. some correct phoenix headcanons: he can cook but his luck is so terrible anywhere BUT the courtroom or the hospital that he comes out of any cooking encounter with cuts, bruises, stains, etc. there has never been a single instance where he has not hurt himself making a meal; he is a restless person and frequently suffers from mild insomnia, and also wakes at the crack of dawn and at any mild shift or sound in the room; he knows the lyrics of sweating bullets by megadeath exactly and can sing the entire song at will, and has for a disbelieving apollo

theyre like a blorbo to me - self explanatory.

theyre deeper than they seem/not as deep as they seem - not fully filled in on either because this is tricky. related to the above because i think he is made of a lot of really complex emotions and moving parts BUT he is also just a guy. people love to give him a really tragic backstory, usually with him being shuffled around the foster system (for reasons i dont understand), but its like. his backstory is vague purposefully for protagonist reasons but also i think thematically its important for him to be just any other guy? like, its aspirational that this random dude who happened to make friends with a lawyers son becomes the guy who spearheads fixing the entire legal system. idk man its hard to explain. i am the only one who knows where the balance between "just a guy" and "objectively the most important person in the aa universe" truly is

i like them enough to project my own issues onto them - when i start deciding the character has my traits it is Over. i dont know how to go into detail on this without being more longwinded than im already being (and without embarrassing myself by dumping my issues all over this post) but just trust me that i like him A Lot

they got done DIRTY by the fans - again, no one knows how to treat this man niceys as a CHARACTER. fanon phoenix (and to a greater extent fanon feenie) makes me want to rip and snarl and stab and bite (the only exception with fanon feenie is the feenie in electricity aside, i will not budge on this that that is the only interpretation of college phoenix that is appropriate and feels like phoenix.) people take it TOO far projecting onto him, is my main problem, to the point where they project traits onto him that do not fit his character at all (this is horny territory sorry but. why are there more than 0 fics on ao3 where he calls miles daddy. he would never do that. are we thinking of the same character.)

they got done DIRTY by the fans - people who woobify ryunosuke to make kazuma the cool one in their dynamic make me angy. ryunosuke has anxiety but he is not like a tumblr user with anxiety (ie, cannot ask for extra napkins at mcdonalds). also again sorry horny territory, but i have seen TOO many nsfw things with ryunosuke where hes written/drawn like an uke teenager or something. im sorry for the yaoi term but i dont know how else to describe this phenomenon of feminizing and babifying a grown man for the sake of gay shipping. stop it.

i want to carry them in a handbag like a tiny dog - i think hed enjoy the ride, give him a break from everything for a moment so he can just relax

they work better as part of a dynamic - again, partial fill in because i dont really Know if this is objectively true, like if i did have that coffee date with him maybe id change my mind, but i do think he works incredibly well as part of a dynamic. on his own hes perfectly fine but he is infinitely better next to kazuma, susato, iris, or sholmes imo

wasted potential - this is almost a pity fill in because like. WHAT potential right. but he could have been MORE than just a stupid prop. we dont even get a proper scene with him. we get a flashback of a still image jpeg and i believe thats the only time he speaks, if he has any lines at all. im not saying EVERY character has to have the same level of character writing as the main characters, but if ur gonna try to convince me to give a shit about them and say theyre an important person to a DIFFERENT character i like, i need reasons

not as deep as they seem - genuinely sorry to the clay terran enjoyers but he is not a character. u are collectively creating an oc and using his face. he is more shallow than a shadow. he isnt even a character

they got done DIRTY by the fans - okay actually on second thought i think the fans got done dirty. the fans lost in this exchange. they were given a lamp and convinced themselves that it was their new husband, when in reality it is just a lamp with a hat

they got too much screen time/i actively dislike them sorry/why was this character in the work at all - perhaps this contradicts my ‘wasted potential’ stamp but like. that stamp was for what i WISH we could have gotten from clay. but what we were actually given is a prop that exists for one case and afaik never brought up again afterward. AND YET he was supposedly this very important influential figure in apollos life. NO HE WASNT. i keep joking that clay is a lamp, not just because of that parody blog, but because the story is fundamentally unchanged if clay were replaced with any inanimate object. the writers could have said ANYTHING had sentimental value to apollo and it wouldve been the exact same, and if u disagree with me ur deluded sorry

Living room beat progress update 12\16\23

Hi gang, are you ready for your scheduled progress update? I sure am the worlds most consistent writer. well anyway ive been doing some planning for a4 and im gonna kinda explain my current roadmap here.

-do end of a3 animation

Yeah i havent done it yet, ive just been procrastinating. Anyway though its gonna be a short one and it wont take long so this isnt like a major deal or anything.

-do a4

I have the events of a4 planned in detail already in a text file so all i have to do is write the dialogue and turn it into comics. Ive said it before and ill say it again: a3 was WAY too many comics. There were so many comics that were just a couple of words and thats just completely stupid. A3 couldve been like 100 comics but instead ended up at 300+ because i did it like an idiot. But im not gonna do that with a4, it will be pretty short in comic number but each one will have loads of dialogue. It will be super efficient.

-post

I might actually post a3 before finishing a4, but again a4 is going to be super short in page count so it probably wont take TOO long to actually make, so waiting til after its done isnt completely unreasonable.

-do new website

Blogger sucks, its a terrible platform, so im gonna make a new website and host it on github pages. It will be made so that it is super easy for me to bulk upload LOADS of new pages at once so that i wont keep putting it off like ive been doing with the rest of a3. It will be all automatic and everything so i dont have to spend multiple hours on it lol. I will also be able to do bulk changes to the page format so i dont have to go individually through each post and change it. Maybe even a back button????

-do a lot of the story

This is a super vague bullet point but i just kinda want to make my way a fair chunk through the story before doing the next point because it would be kinda annoying to just be halted after a4 for ages.

-go back and redo a0 through a3 (and maybe a4, well see how that turns out)

Ive already said it in this post but a0 through a3 kinda just suck, theres loads of changes i would make now if i made them, so i plan to go back and change them. This would also make lrb more accessible for new readers because they dont have through over 100 pages for it to get 'ok'. I also plan to have a summary page to catch people up on the story of a0 through a4 quickly so that they can get into a5 and beyond. I will probably only keep that summary page until ive finished remaking a0 through a3, but i will post it after a4 as a4 is a good break off point in the story (youll see).

-do rest of the story

This is pretty self explanatory. Theres loads of story to go.

Among all of these points is also planning a5 and beyond as what i said before isnt true. I originally wasnt going to change the actual story i had planned but i changed my mind on that, the main story is being changed quite a bit.

The thing is i noticed the problems with the structure but didnt notice the ROOT cause of those problems, the fact that the characters act as too much of a conglomerate and have literally 0 independence.

Ok what do i mean by that. Well basically all of the alternate reality versions of streve and brian, and even streve and brian themselves, could be compressed into 1 character reasoning their decisions out with themself. They have 'disagreements' but they dont have any REAL disagreements, they always come around and end up acting as a group in the end.

Now is this because im a bad writer? Probably but i can (try to) fix it in future parts of the story. So im gonna do that.

I also plan to make more social media for the comic rather than just tumblr and reddit. Like a twitter even though that site is dying.

I also also need to come up with a name to sign these posts with. All webcomic authors have some name they go by, i dont. So ill come up with one. Anyway thats all i have to say for this progress update. This one ended up being super long so hopefully that makes up for me missing so many. See you next saturday.

ramblings under a readmore because im awkward but tags cant be edited PLUS it got kinda long (nothin serious, im just spittin thoughts abt what content i wanna make)

ive been thinking abt whether or not i want to post non-mcyt g/t stuff here as well or not,, this has sorta turned into a mcyt g/t blog and it feels weird if i post other content here >:P

on one hand. this is my blog i can do what i want but on the other im just like ok but this is my mcyt g/t blog i cant post other stuff here thats illegal >:0 im not supposed to do that!!

like!!! what am i gonna do if/when my interest in mcyt fades,,, i dont wanna abandon this blog >:P

i also think about how i wished there was more g/t content for a bunch of fandoms i was in (like. back when i was fixated on undertale there was so little g/t,, there was a little bit of bittybones and bittyreader stuff but there were only so many people makin content, and even then their interests faded...)

one big concern is that im afraid if i do make more varied content, im gonna wear myself too thin (heck i already am kinda? ive got sooo much to work on, and i really do want to finish some stuff or at least flesh out things more before putting it away again for a while)

ik theres at least one person out there who knows abt g/t and is writing deltarune fic at least,, (thank u for ur service u are feeding my starving soul i love ur iron giant inspired fic <3)
