Do you like bacon? I’m not as wild about it as I used to be, but I’m still definitely into the whole put-bacon-on-everything schtick and I have no problem trying out novelty items that put bacon in donuts, or oatmeal, or cake, or whatever it is haha.
Have you ever wished for something to come true and it did? I mean, yes. It’s ranged from something as simple as “I wish it rains today,” to something as big as wishing that the person I like liked me back.
Do you like Rammstein? I’m familiar with the name but I’m not necessarily a fan.
Do you know a friend of a friend? Yes. I used to drink with Angela’s friends from arki. We never ended up being close but they were always great people to have a few drinks with.
Do you smile for no reason? I usually smile for a reason.
if somebody paid you a million dollars to get a green mohawk would you? Sure. I only stay at home anyway and that makes this whole thing not that big of a deal, honestly.
Ever had a BLT? Did you like it? It’s too basic a sandwich for me, but I wouldn’t turn it down if it were the only option available. I’d still remove the tomatoes, though; I never liked those in my burgers or sandwiches.
Are you in College? Not anymore; I graduated a few months ago.
Have you ever been to a State Fair? We don’t have those here, first of all because we don’t have states haha.
Do you like Youtube? I enjoy a number of YouTube channels and I certainly visit the site everyday, but I don’t like the way the corporation itself runs their website. It’s since become very different from what YouTube used to be.
If so whats your favorite channel? At the moment it’s Good Mythical Morning, but I also have a number of other subscriptions like BuzzFeed (for their Worth It series), First We Feast, Try Guys, PewDiePie, Anthony Padilla, Anna Park, a couple of channels dedicated to pro wrestling, some eating ASMR channels, among others.
Do you enjoy compulsively cleaning electronics? Can’t say I do.
What is your favorite small dog breed? Are beagles considered small dogs? I love them.
Do you smell bacon cooking? Nopes but I do have a dark chocolate macadamia cookie from Starbucks beside me that I can faintly smell.
Have you ever bitten anything for any unknown reason? What was it? I like biting on straws, but that’s about it I think.
Do you like the movie "The Master Of Disguise"? I don’t think I’ve heard of it before.
What is the closest thing to you thats red? A paper bag under my desk that holds all the artsy stuff I’ve bought over the years, like my coloring books and paintings.
Have you ever gone into a toystore just to play with the toys? That’s always made me feel like a freeloader haha, so I never go to toy stores just for that purpose. I’d sometimes play with whatever exhibits they have, but I make sure to go through the different toy sections too.
When was the last time you went through a Mcdonalds Playplace? Maybe when I was 5 ot 6 maybe? I went to Burger King’s playground way more often since we dined there more. Also, there were always fewer kids so it was more fun to play there.
Do you have an annoying dog? Cooper’s a beagle, who are notoriously big balls of energy, and so there are days I just can’t keep up with his energy and for those moments I do have shorter patience with him. It’s really not his fault, though.
What was the first comic book you ever had an obsession over? I was never into comic books. I tried for a long time because my two favorite wrestlers are into them, but just couldn’t jump on that train.
Do you like kids pop-up books? Loved them as a kid but I was never obsessed enough to have them for my own. I was content reading pop-up books in the school library.
Does anybody else think bugs are cool and interesting? I’m sure there are tons of people out there, but not me.
What kind of toothpaste do you use? Colgate.
Do you own a pair of striped socks? I don’t think so, no.
What is the most random thing in your bedroom? An inflatable pig.
In a normal conversation do you slip out Latin? LOL no. I don’t think I’ve done that before, unless I was singing something in Latin on purpose.
Can you sing? No. I’m not tone-deaf, but I’m not anywhere near decent either.
If so, what is the highest note you can reach? -
Have you ever been to the cream cheese capital of the world? I don’t know which one that is.
Was this survey random? Enough for me to have a good time with it, yes.
Have you ever been in a parade? I’ve been to several Pride marches if they count.
What is your mothers, mothers maiden name? I don’t actually remember haha, so I wouldn’t be able to share it anyway. It’s a very Chinese-sounding name, though; that much I can share.
Do you have a different hairstyle? No. I just have bangs, which a lot of people already have.
Am I annoying yet? I don’t feel annoyed, so you’re good.
Do you like soybeans? I haven’t had actual soybeans. < Same, but I’m sure I like food products that have soybeans in them or are made out of soybeans.
Do you press buttons just to see what they do? Hahahahahahahaha yes that’s me, I’m that person with the restless fingers.
Do you still play pokemon? I never got into the video games because I was never any good at strategy-based games, but I did play Pokemon Go for a while especially when I was in freshman year of college. Overall, I was mostly into the anime.
What is your favorite pokemon? Jigglypuff.
Have you ever put blue streaks in your white cats hair? I have a white dog, but I wouldn’t do this to him even if you gave me dog-friendly dye. Just not my preference.
Are you blond? Nope.
Does it bother you when people have a collar turned up? No.
Are your nails painted? If so, what color? If not, do you like nail polish? They’re never painted. No, I personally don’t see the appeal of nail polish for myself but you do you.
Are you awesome? I’ll let other people be the judge of that.
As a kid did you like Barney, Baby Bop, or DJ more? Wasn’t it BJ? Anyway, I liked him the most, then Barney. I found Baby Bop way too whiny.
Have you been to the Bzoink Forums yet? I just go there to look for surveys. I don’t actually try out the other features.
Does any key on your computer and or laptop stick? No.
Does fire excite you? Fuck no lmao, I’m terrified of fire.
Have you ever sung in a choir? Never.
Do you go to church? Until March this year, I had attended mass every Sunday all my life. When Covid hit, we started watching YouTube recordings at home. So yeah, no escape.
Have you ever had a theme (pirate, ninja, civil war) day? Like, in school? Yeah we had a themed day in high school once. I forgot what the actual theme was but I remember going as Lara Croft. In college, we used to go with color-coordinated outfits for Valentine’s Day, e.g. people who had dates can wear red, those who are single can wear black, those in complicated relationships can wear brown, those who had crushes but can’t have them can wear yellow, etc. It wasn’t an official rule, of course, but it was always fun for those who chose to join haha.
Can you touch your tongue to your nose? Nopes.
Have you ever been to Philadelphia PA? No. It has an amazing reputation for being a passionate wrestling city though; it’d be cool to go there and see a local show or two.
Do you think Orlando Bloom is hot? He’s not unattractive, but I just never had a crush on him.
Do you think Twilight is over-rated? At some point I think it was, but it also got (and continues to get) so much hate that I think that has since been able to balance out the initial overrated-ness of it.
When was the last time you where sick? what did you have? I had a UTI in May, which I never would’ve known if I didn’t take a urine test because all I got was a high fever that never went away. Peeing was never painful for me during that time and my kidney region never hurt either.
What is your favorite number? 4.
Look at your toes. Sure.
If you are a girl do you hate girl drama? Idk what you mean by that. I never grew out of liking gossip, though.
If you are a guy do you hate girls who prolong the drama? -

Favorite indie music group? alt-J.
Have you ever pet a monkey? I don’t think I have.
Have you ever ridden a camel? Nopes.
Have you ever punched somebody? Never to hurt someone.
Do you like cupcakes? Love them.
Orange or lemon flavoring? Depends on what I’m consuming. I like orange chewy candies, but I like lemonade juice too.

summary: wouldn't everyone like to be taken in by THE tony stark? i mean, you get to hang out with the freaking avengers everyday right?
cindy moon begs to differ.
word count: 2,035
A/N: sorry it lowkey sucks, im not the best at writing fight scenes to be honest
"ELLA CAN WE go?" I groaned as I laid there on the bleachers, back against the cold metal as I watched her doing sprints across the track field. "If I don't get food in my stomach in the next twenty minutes, I will kill you."
She stops running in front of the bleachers, hands on her hips as she caught her breath.
"You're talking to the girl who eats like 2,000 calories in one sitting," she breathes out, letting out a breathy chuckle afterwards. I rolled my eyes as I sat up, fixing my hair as I did so.
"You've been running out here for like an hour and a half now, I literally finished my homework forty-five minutes ago. You should be tired," I complained as I stood up, grabbing her water bottle from her bag before tossing it over to her. "You don't wanna get a heat stroke do you?"
"Relax, I'm not gonna get a heat stroke," she assured as she took a big sip from her water. "Just five more minutes."
"And after five minutes you'll only have fifteen minutes to get food in my stomach before I murder you," I replied, groaning as I sat back down.
"I can work with that."
I once again watched as she practiced her sprinting drills, literally flying across the track. Meanwhile, I pulled out my phone from my pocket and scrolled through social media. I scrolled past the numerous posts about Iron Man and the Avengers, not interested in reading them at the moment.
I ended up finding a photo of Ned and Peter, posted on Ned's account, which showed them posing with a Lego tower. I snickered, scrolling past it before I see a pair of sneakers in front of me.
"You ready to go?" I looked up to see Ella standing there, a sweat towel pressed to her forehead before she let it drop on her shoulder.
"Finally," I groaned, grabbing my backpack before we walked down the bleachers, heading for downtown.
We walked into the cafe, quickly ordering before sitting down at our usual table by the window.
"You're lucky you got all that money, you buy like five hundred sandwiches," I laughed as we got situated.
"Listen, when you're a true athlete like me, you get hungry a lot," she explained as she grabbed her phone. "Whether it's protein or not."
I mean, I swing on webs and fight criminals after school, isn't that sort of the same?
"Yeah, okay," I chuckled as we hopped onto our phones.
"Did you see Liz's new hairstyle?" She questioned, which I replied with shaking my head. She pushed her phone into my face, showing me the picture of the senior girl Liz, posing in a picture with her best friend Betty, her hair now straighter with a slight wave.
"It looks good on her," I replied, not really caring about it that much. I zoned out right when Ella went on a rant about something irrelevant as I looked at my phone to see that the attempted robbery yesterday was actually on the news.
'He just pointed a gun at my head,' the cashier of the small convenience story, Emma Ferguson, explained. 'He forced me to give him the money from the cash register, and obviously I was like scared for my life so I did it. But then this like, superhero girl thing came and beat the crap out of him, it was crazy! She quickly bought something before running out of the store quickly'
"Oh god," I groaned under my breath, pinching the bridge of my nose.
"Something wrong?" Ella questioned, trying to lean over the table to see what I was looking at. I was quick to shake my head, playing if off as nothing.
"It's nothing, just really hungry," I replied as I continued to read the article.
'Could you describe the girl's appearance?' We asked Ferguson.
'Well, she looked kind of young, but that's just from judging by her face above her nose. She wore a red mask thing on her nose which covered everything below it, and her suit it was like some sort of black, white, and red spandex suit,' Ferguson explained. 'The arms and legs were black meanwhile the torso part was white with a red like webbing pattern.'
My thoughts were interrupted by the employee setting our food down in front of us.
"There you go," he spoke, shooting a friendly smile down at us. "Is there anything I can grab you guys?"
"Nope, I think we're good," Ella replied, sending the guy off before she began stuffing her face once again. I sighed, locking my phone before placing it on the table besides my plate. "What were you so focused on?"
I looked up at her, sending her a questioning look.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, what were you looking at on your phone?" She questioned through a full mouth. "You were like glaring down at it, was kinda creepy."
I rose my shoulders up in a shrug as I took a bite from my sandwich.
"Just reading something I found," I replied simply, hoping she would drop the subject. Fortunately, she just shrugged her shoulders and continued eating.
"So Cindy," she spoke up, dropping her third sandwich onto her plate. "What'd you get for number nine on our biology homework?"
I raised an eyebrow at her, shaking my head disappointedly.
"I thought we talked about this Ella," I sighed. "No more copying off my homework."
"But Cindy-"
"No buts Ella, do your own homework," I rolled my eyes, finally finishing my food. She groaned, throwing her head down as she stomped her feet.
"Come on!" She whined, grabbing my arm. "Please just one more time?"
"I thought I told you no," I scoffed, ripping my arm out from her grip. She pouted once again, crossing her arms as she leaned back in her chair.
"You just aren't being fair right now," she mumbled, eating the rest of her third sandwich.
"I'm being fa- are you being serious?" My eyes widened as I stared at her, watching her every movement.
"Yes, you aren't being fair," she stuck her tongue out afterwards as she took a bite from her pickle.
"Whatever."

After finishing up at the cafe, we began our walk to Ella's house, which thankfully wasn't very far at all.
"You don't think your foster mother will actually kill you right?" She questioned as she played with the straps of her backpack. I chuckled, elbowing her.
"I'll just have to run off before she can."
We both laughed, but it ended almost as soon as it started.
"Down on the ground!"
Our heads both snapped to our right to see a woman on the ground, her face pressed against the concrete while a man holding long, unusual looking gun pressed the gun to her temple.
"Holy shit," Ella muttered before grabbing my wrist. "Cindy, we have to go. Come on!"
She tried to drag me away, but while running I slipped away, digging into my backpack as I ran into an alleyway. I quickly stripped out of my clothes, changing into my suit before hiding my backpack under the dumpster. I pulled my mask on before running out from the alleyway, approaching the man and woman.
"Hey buddy!" I yelled to grab their attention, the man's eyes turning upwards to me.
"Who the hell are you?" He questioned, keeping his foot on the woman's head as he pointed his gun at me.
"I'm literally about to kick your ass, don't think my identity is really important right now," I spoke. He glared before firing a bullet, which I was quick to dodge before I shot a web towards his wrist, twisting it which caused him to yelp in pain and let go of the gun.
"For a criminal, you're kind of a dumbass," I commented before running towards him, swiping his feet out from under him. He grunted but got up back onto his feet, quickly going for his gun.
He began firing numerous bullets, which I jumped out of the way every bullet he shot before shooting another web, grabbing the gun from him.
"What the hell?" He yelled as the woman scrambled up, running away from the scene. Running up towards him, I swung the gun to his head, which seemed to have knocked him out of consciousness. I chuckled before spinning a web around his body, completely trapping him. "That was just too easy, I swear."
I pulled him up, shooting a web onto his mouth as well just to prevent hearing his voice if he were to wake up before we got to the police station. I quickly threw him over my shoulder before beginning to walk away from the scene.
As I walked, I was quick to notice that multiple people had been videoing the whole thing.
"Great," I mumbled under my breath, breaking out into a sprint towards the police station.
Quickly running inside, I toss the man over to the first cop I saw.
"Bad guy, tried to shoot me and someone else!" I informed before quickly running out of the station, back towards the alleyway where I left my backpack. "Oh, ew."
Cautiously going onto my knees, I dragged my backpack out from under the dumpster before quickly changing back into my regular clothes.
"Gross," I complained from touching the dirty dumpster, grabbing my hand sanitizer before squeezing some onto my hands and rubbing them together. "I really need to hide my backpack somewhere that's not a health hazard."
I sprinted across the street as I searched for Ella, only for her to not be found. Quickly grabbing my phone from my backpack, I was quick to notice all the missed calls from Ella. I sighed as I pressed the call button.
"Hel-"
"Cindy Moon, where the hell are you?" Her voice screeched into my ear, causing me to hold the phone away from my ear.
"Jesus Ella! You don't have to scream!" I grunted, shaking my head.
"Oh I'm sorry that I'm worried for your ass! You just disappeared while someone was about to get murdered right in front of us!" She yelled, panting afterwards. "Tell me where you are!"
"I'm like three blocks away from where they were," I mumbled, pressing my back against the building beside me.
"You're three blocks-" she scoffed. "Just stay there, I'll be there in a few minutes."
She hung up, causing me to let out a sigh of relief.
She was gonna kill me.

"Olivia, I'm home!" I announced as I walked through the door.
"Cindy!"
The hair on the back of my neck stood straight up, causing me to quickly look to my left and catch the football before it could smack me in the face.
"Charlie what have I told you about this?" I scolded, throwing the football back. "Stop throwing balls at me when I get home."
He stuck his tongue out tauntingly, causing me to roll my eyes before heading towards the stairs. Before I could head up the staircase, the news quickly caught my attention.
"Witnesses say the masked figure was spider-like, shooting webs out from her fingers before tying the shooter up with the webs."
My eyes widened as a video played of me, fighting the man from earlier.
"Shit," I muttered.
"She looks so cool," I looked over to Charlie whom's eyes were glued to the television. "Wish I could shoot webs from my fingers. Pew!"
He then pretended to shoot webs at me, causing me roll my eyes before running up the stairs and into my room. I shut the door quickly, throwing my backpack down on the floor next to my bed before slipping my shoes off and throwing myself onto my bed.
I looked over to my open backpack to see my suit peeking out from the side. I sighed, turning onto my side as I stared at it.
If only I wasn't bitten by that stupid spider, I wouldn't have to risk my life everyday like this.
But I had no choice, I had to have gotten these powers for a reason.

Conversation questions
I hate writing casual dialogue. And I mean hate. I will put of writing for days if there is a block of dialogue I need to write in my path. My solution is looking up truth/dare or similar questions online, but then there is lots of overlap and frankly shitty questions to sort through. So, have my saved ones, and beat that dialogue.
This is sorted into sections by my own subjective opinions; General, Thoughtful/Interesting, Love/Dating, Crushes, Sex related, Food related, Family/Marriage, School, Group specific, Embarrassing, Mean, Nasty.
This is 475 ideas. Puh.

Who in this room would be the worst person to date? Why?
If someone offered you $1 million dollars to break up with your girlfriend/boyfriend, would you do it?
Nasty
These are literally just ew.
Have you ever tasted a booger?
Have you ever peed in the pool?
How often do you wash your undergarments?
Have you ever tasted ear wax?
Would you rather be caught picking your nose or picking a wedgie?
Do you pee in the shower?
Do you have bad foot odor?
When was the last time you wet the bed?
Have you ever had lice?
Have you ever pooped your pants?
Hope you found something useful!

compulsive shopping
something I never thought I would be dealing with. for one, I was never a big spender. since being very little, I hated the thought of people having to spend money on me and I was very good at saving it. yet I've never bought as much as I have the past year and I don't remembered why I bought most of the things or even what they were. which means I've never owned as many unnecessary things before. during that year I also spent all of my savings including some money I’ve had put away for years and rarely touched before because I never had big needs that would require extra money. whenever I reached for those savings this year it felt like an emergency, I planned on putting it back there after my next paycheck, but I never did - some new purchase would always seem more urgent. “I was living from paycheck to paycheck. I was living FOR the paycheck”*(The Minimalism documentary). pretty early on I found myself in a financial crisis and had a lot less money to spend, unfortunately it wasn't about how much I would spend, but the way I would spend it.
since I can recall I’ve always hated spending money going out, going to movies, eating with friends, buying food for myself - it seemed like such a waste of money - on something that lasted a moment instead of something material that I could have forever and that would bring me joy and serve purpose. or better yet, multiple purposes, right? too bad I wouldn’t use anything for long. I own some clothes that I wore literally once or twice. most things I would get were horrible quality and poor source which I was aware of. a lot of clothes didn't fit me, therefore didn't serve purpose, but instead would make me feel frustrated with what I looked like. and the joy, momentary excitement, dopamine kick - that was what would initially drive my constant need to buy new things, but it would last less and less time. the rush I would get from checking out “inspirations”, looking up things, reading product reviews, planning purchases, placing orders, waiting for deliveries and then using those items for the first few times- gradually it shrunk to feeling excited until the end of each transaction. I haven't even worn something, I didn't even get it in the mail, I would already look for something else, I was already hung up on something new. I had never-ending lists in my head of stuff I wanted to get next, that I needed next. I had a few private Pinterest boards specifically for that, that's what all my Instagram likes went to. and I would obsess over them. that’s what I would spend all of my free time on. my energy, thoughts, motivation to get up, to work, to survive through bad days. to live, I guess. they were my treats for doing well, my consolation prizes and my what the hell’s. I didn't plan on buying 10 things at once, but just this one and, of course, these two. while still in my head, most things felt essential, unlike previous ones- I was crazy getting that previous item, but this? I clearly need this. if I look better, I’ll feel better.  my shopping habits were gradually becoming more impulsive and compulsive. I was no longer thinking through or questioning what I needed, practicality was not high on my list. I would almost never try on stuff, I would base my decisions on the fact that I liked the way something looked on someone I saw. usually on Pinterest or Instagram- so people of completely different proportions, physical features, lifestyles, preferences and identities - not me. it usually looked good with other articles of clothing that I didn't own, so when shoes arrived in the mail and I wasn’t so sure about them, I would sometimes convince myself that I also needed different trousers, t-shirts, different colours or materials to go with them, that would solve it. when I had less money, I would buy more, but cheaper items. it made so much more sense to buy multiple things for less. and if it’s cheap, why think twice?what's the harm? I actually knew enough about the harms of fast fashion industry, but I chose to ignore them. I thought I couldn’t afford to be environmentally conscious, to make ethical choices, to consider people behind products, to pick more intentionally. I couldn’t afford to buy as many quality items, so I chose quantity over quality. and it’s hard to appreciate quality, when you get bored and dissatisfied with everything so quickly. but each time it felt like that one item was the one that would perfectly fill in the painful space in my life, each product seemed ridiculously important for a short while, it somehow was supposed to be the start of a new life- a toothbrush that, at least in the pictures, matches my bathroom tiles and other beautiful, pure, and organic-looking sink accessories that I was getting next; or a running windbreaker that I can fold into the size of my fist and that might not go with any of my clothes, but I could always have it with me and it would help me save space in my giant everyday backpack full of other essentials. it felt like every little thing would weirdly define me for a second. that when I pick a product, I decide what kind of a person I am. but who I was and what I liked was becoming very blurry.
style and clothing felt like such an easy way or opportunity to redefine or redesign myself. it gave me a sense of identity, it was a symbol of a different better life. and when I was out of ideas for myself and my life, any image that gave me a sense of what I lacked i.e. self-confidence, self-respect, ease, balance or even better social skills or ability to fit in among certain people sounded great. I reached a point where there were too many different voices saying what would make me feel better and I would get very confused. not even with what I needed or wanted, but as to what I liked, what was aesthetically pleasing. which btw, while not the most important in life, comes in pretty fucking handy when you work as a product designer and a craftsman. that lead me to my worse state. I could change my mind about what I wanted to look like, which subconsciously translated into whom I wanted to be, in five minutes while randomly scrolling through a board of pictures on my Pinterest or checking out my Instagram feed. it didn’t come out of nowhere, I was never able to stick to the same clothes, I went through so many stages, I tried out more haircuts within the last five years than most people have in their lifetime. I actually would feel sorry for people who had the same hairstyle their whole life and wore the same type of clothes for years- how boring are you and how unadventurous is your life? I didn’t see the integrity some of those people have, the lack of need to fix what already works, the peace, the contentment, the blissful zero fucks to give about something this empty and unimportant. I thought they lacked sensitivity, awareness and were afraid to experiment or take a risk, while it seemed natural for me to play around, constantly research, look for something. I even convinced myself that I had to be that way to keep an open mind and my creativity levels high. but when it got out of control and started changing so fast I couldn't keep up with it, I realised how much my low-self esteem was being used by the industry convincing me to want new things to fix me and immediately hate the old ones. definitely wasn’t news to me as a phenomenon, but took me a while to realise that it affected me, and how much. as those things tend to, it aligned with various work stuff, break ups, prolonged health problems, family conflicts, other everyday stuff and social media apps, including Instagram and Pinterest, have become my pacifiers, a way to push away all sorts of thoughts, issues, anxiety, to look away, to avoid, to calm down, to entertain myself, to distract me and keep me busy. once I realised just that, they stopped working that well. I suddenly felt like notifications, badges, sponsored posts, fake smiles, free trials, special discount codes, pictures carefully selected for me were attacking me more and more, but none of them no longer made much sense. it all quickly turned into an uninteresting, disturbing, worthless noise and waste of my time that I was able to, surprisingly easily, let go off. sadly, that didn't make my shopping urges and impulses go away. in fact, I still have to fight them pretty much every day and it will take a while. but I really want to work on this. work on this by not letting things be more than things are and define me or change the way I feel about myself. even though I don’t feel great about myself right now. I want to end this post on a positive note because I’m really feeling incomparably better most days now, but the truth is I obviously just started uncovering some stuff and it’s not pretty, so it might take more than giving up retail therapy.
if you can relate, feel more than free to message me, bother me, ask me questions, but beware I might recommend you an endless list of podcasts, essays and videos that helped me and that my friends can’t take any more. if you can’t relate, you lucky fuck, hope you found this interesting. and if you did, the interesting part actually is the shit that happens next, now that I’m taking steps to live a simpler, slower live, without all that excess bullshit, so stay tuned.

A Walk With the Lord
Tumblr media
Tuesday, April 14, 2020
4:33pm
Did you know Dr. Seuss was anointed? No?
Good. Cause me neither.
As the Lord placed this word on my heart, I went searching through my “Tumblr” album (cause Tumblr got the best pictures lol) for what would be the cover photo for this entry. Suddenly, I came upon this poem saved in there- a poem that exactly articulated and encompassed the material of this walk with Christ we are called to- Sacrifice and Surrender.
During our time on this earth, we are called to be a different people. Which is good, right? Because we all seek to be different and have our unique novelty acknowledge, witnessed, understood and beheld. The beauty of this sort of difference, is that it shines a light on more than the edgy way you dress, risky hairstyles you rock, and bold, out loud way you live. It points to Christ- to a higher purpose and higher Being. This difference shows off the fact that you are a one of a kind creation, fashioned by an intentional, loving Creator who has a plan of love for you and those you encounter as well.
Now, let me not get too ahead of myself. I wanna touch on an important thing here, a thought train that legit keeps so many of my brothers and sisters stumbling-
“Kelah, I gotta get my life together first. I don’t want to come to God a mess. I ain’t ready to stop sinning and live like you yet. I need some time. God wouldn’t even want me how I am now...”
First off, lol. Yes, lol. I’m laughing, not to be crass or dismissive, but because- lemme tell you sumn, honey. The devil is a lie. Okay? A liiiieeeee.
Let’s take a moment and acknowledge every reason or excuse we have for side eyeing God but not really coming to Him, for putting off a relationship with Him, from answering the call we know He’s been ringing in our hearts for some years now. Look, God chose you before He created this world. That’s Bible.Note Ephesians 1: 4-5  “ For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will.”
What does all that mean? It means that before those seven days of creation we read about in Genesis 1 (and part of 2 also), God already knew you! He already had each one of your days written, understood, etc! Lemme ask you as question, who knew Harry Potter’s path better- Harry or JK Rowling? The second one, right? Right. Why? Because she wrote it! So do you think annyyyy part of Harry’s journey took her by surprise? No! Because she’s the one who authored it!
The beauty of creating- for those of you who write, make clothes, produce, act, cook, etc- you can start something and it take this beautiful path you hadn’t even originally anticipated, and it becomes so much better than you intended. And there’s a joy in witnessing this thing become something completely new and embark on a journey you hadn’t thought for it. As though its very existence within the circumstances of the plot, pot, etc calls and creates a story you didn’t originally know could exist. I personally love writing and getting to a point where I see my story or poem take a turn I hadn’t intended or anticipated! It’s so whimsical in how unexpected it was!
The thing is though, God ain’t like that lol. He gets sooooooo much joy from watching our journeys unfold, but nothing takes Him by surprise. Nothing is outside of His control. He has given us free will and yet He still knows every decision we’ll make and every way the devil will try us, and He has worked all things together for good because He has called us according to His purpose and we love Him. Do you think JK Rowling was ever disappointed in the bad decisions Harry made? Not exactly. You know why? Because she created him. She fashioned him. She wrote him and all his characteristics. She knew and understood the world and circumstances he was going to be in. She knew what his pitfalls would be. But guess what? She wrote him a plan for victory despite it all. She knew what needed to be overcome in his world and in himself, so she strategically placed people, opportunities and lessons around him that worked for his good, the good of his world and towards the expected end/plan she already had for them all.
News Flash, saints: God already has an expected end of victory and that victory was sealed on the Cross. He isn’t leaving your life up to chance, but there are things we must walk with Him to receive. He isn’t surprised or taken aback by where you are, what you’re doing and what you still like. He has a plan for you. Will you answer the call to allow Him to begin walking with you to unveil it?
Like when you were in school. If you wanted to learn Spanish, you had to take Spanish courses. In order to receive the things of the Lord, your life must be surrendered to Him. He must be the Lord of your life. Ask yourself now, “Who or what is the lord of my life right now?” Is it money, love, lust, ambition/greed, food? Are you the lord of your life? Do you only make decisions and discipline yourself on things you feel led to/want/understand, or are you being moved by the will and heart of Jesus Christ?
Okay, so, “surrendered.” What’s that about? Sounds super “churchy,” right? Lol. Not exactly. People often say they don’t agree with or like religion. And they shun the church because they associate it with such. I get it. I agree with the whole, “down with religion,” movement. So was Jesus, in fact. Bet ya didn’t know that, huh? In fact, Jesus spent most of His ministry outside of the synagogue (church) walls. Because He wasn’t so much concerned with the building and all its associated religious constructs, as He was with the building of the Body. The Body of Christ is the Church He was concerned with. When you think of a body, what comes to mind? Arms, legs, fingers, back, private areas, head, etc. Great. Those are functioning parts of a greater whole, combined and working together in a beautiful, complex way to achieve several goals that work towards the greater good/whole of keeping the body in full, healthy, smooth operation.
Jesus cared about the people of God working together like the bodies they maneuver everyday in. He was concerned with harmony, love, relationship.
And there it is. Jesus didn’t care for Religion. He cared about Relationship. He came, He taught, He lived perfectly, He died and He rose again to give us relationship with the Author and Creator of our lives- God. The Heavenly Father. And in that, He wanted us to understand that we are all brothers and sisters, friends, co-workers, co-heirs, body parts moving and functioning in/for the same goal.
What is that goal? The will of the Father, The advancement and growth of His Kingdom. Our being conformed to the image of Christ. And this is where surrender comes in. In confessing Jesus Christ as Lord at salvation and believing in your heart that He is the Son of God, come to give His life as the payment of all our sins that we may have relationship with our Heavenly Father, we are also confessing that He is the Head of our lives. He is described in Ephesians 4:15-16 as the Head of the body. He now becomes the CEO of our lives, and just as an employee who is obedient to the rules and role of their position under their company, supervisor and employer, so we are now answering the call to a life of obedience and adherence to the role as a child, believer and follower of God.
There are multiple verses, including Ephesians 4:17 that speak on how life will look different for us than it did before and also from those who have not yet heard or answered the call yet. Let me speak on this, because I know for many of us, we misconstrue relationship with God to mean religion and thereby categorize it all as “behavior modification.” This is not the case, darlings! Give me a moment to try and explain, please. I hope this makes sense to you and is fruitful.
It's not just that a commitment to the Lord requires a change in action- which, in fact, it kinda does- but in the way that it comes with it. If you decide to start working out, that naturally comes with adjustments to your lifestyle. It's not that beforehand, you began changing things about yourself to fit the role of a gym goer. No. Once it was in your heart that this was something you wanted for yourself and would commit to, naturally those changes and adjustments came. You had to add a new destination to your daily schedule. New clothes. Your day to day agenda was rearranged to accommodate this new action. You began stretching. Eating new foods to keep up and replenish nutrients. You maybe started counting calories to reach your weight goals. You began lifting weights, and you even began researching online videos and Facebook communities so you could surround yourself with like minded people. It's not that you read a book and watched other gym goers to figure out exactly how you had to change who you are/what you do. You made this commitment, and naturally, a necessary shift began to occur in the process and pursuit of this lifestyle. Because there are certain characteristics, disciplines, etc that develop and are practiced in a successful carrying out of this lifestyle, you naturally encountered and came into them along the path. And it's the same for Christianity. The Lord impresses His word on our hearts and beckons us to walk with Him and embark on a journey of being just like Him. And in that journey, trust me, saints- some things are going to change. It’s inevitable. And it's all counted good and joyous. Amen. What's else, is that many come into the faith under the impression and hope of what they can receive, not fully understanding that the life of Christ is what is given away. A life of giving oneself and their possessions, time, convenience, comfort, etc. up. Jesus told His apostles in Matthew 20:28 "For the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve and give His life as a ransom for many." (Click for additional cross reference xo)
Jesus exemplified what the Christian (Christ-like) walk is- a life of offering, surrender and sacrifice. He told the multitudes that we must be ready to pick up our crosses, lose our lives and follow Him. (Matthew 16:24-27) In following our Savior's example, it is not just the question of what He can do for us- though He sets a precedent of being the only god that actually serves His creation as we see in Scripture and the life of Jesus Christ- but it’s also a matter of what we can do for Him- for His will, His people, His Kingdom. This life of Christianity (or we could even deem it “The life of Christ” or “The walk with Christ”) is not just one of being blessed with gifts, healing, renewed perspectives and immunity to life's battles as some think. It's so much more. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 tells us that our lives are not our own, that they were bought with a price- the precious blood of Jesus Christ. That payment- the blood (which literally refers to His crucifixion and resurrection)- is a prime and ripe example of this lifestyle God set of giving yourself away. He told the apostles in John 10:18 "Nobody takes My life, but I give it (lay it down) freely (of My own accord)." In reading the Gospels (the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John but you can definitely start with John because his is a great foundation of Jesus’ life) you can see that Jesus lived a life of sacrificing convenience, comfort, desire, spitefulness, envy, road rage, violence, lying, lust, drunkenness, and so much more to surrender to the mission God assigned to Him that it may be successfully accomplished. And likewise, we are called to sacrifice things in life as a result of our surrendering (releasing self will to comply with the current standing authority) to the mission and call of the Lord on our lives. So in our pursuit of intimacy with Christ, let us seek opportunities to ask Him, "Lord, in what ways can I give myself away freely to You?" Not at a bargained price of "When You give me my man," or "When I make my first mill," or "When You do it, I'll fully believe then." But, in pureness of heart that only comes through the work of the Holy Spirit as we request His help in continually seeking to lay down all areas of our lives for the Lord to live in and control. May we ask Him in love, just as He chose us, planned for us, created us, and called us in love. And in that order too. He didn’t plan for you after your creation and birth. He planned for you the same time He chose you to be His. And He chose You to be His before He even created you and called you. He’s ahead of the game. Trust me. Let's endeavor to allow God to beautifully set us up to serve Him in a way that blesses our faith as it creates opportunities to see Him faithfully work. In ways that allow us to witness Him always come through/work all things for the good. Because He called us and we love Him. The beauty of our Savior, is that He enables us to love Him back through the love He dispenses in us - despite our human nature of a need for the physical and a need to fully understand/label things. 1 John 4:19, “We love Him because He first loved us.” He helps us to love beyond our humanity. Because we are certainly more than flesh and blood. We are spirit, made in His likeness. We have a beautiful Savior where "The goodness (kindness) of God leads you to repentance." Romans 2:4 He is not this hateful, angry God that is conspiring against you and raging whenever you mess up. No. He’s a loving Savior that came down from Eutopia to be despised, misunderstood, ridiculed, mobbed, arrested, beaten, bludgeoned, hated, spat on, nailed, whipped, hung, and tortured. All so that we could have a relationship with our Heavenly Father. Trust me, He understands more than what we’re going through and He wants to walk with us in all of it. He wants to and is going through all of it with us. Let Him in. Let Him serve you. And allow that service to make a servant out of you. His love is transforming. I promise. “Jesus, Name above all names, beautiful Savior, glorious Lord. Immanuel God is with us...”
Love you, saints, and so does Jesus. So, so much more He does.

Red Data Girl: World Heritage Girl (Week 23)
Red Data Girl: World Heritage Girl By Noriko Ogiwara A Translation
Miss the last piece? Read it here!
Check out the RDG Translation twitter!
We’ve started the last chapter of RDG 4!
Also, did everyone see my new scary story translation, “Cursed Chain Mail”? It’s a fun/somewhat creepy story about what happens when you don’t forward that annoying chain mail letter in your inbox.  At this point I’m just shamelessly plugging my side translations and I know it but that’s okay because I’m excited about them.
Red Data Girl: World Heritage Girl By Noriko Ogiwara Chapter 4: Boundary Part 1 (1 of 3)
The next morning, Izumiko could not bring herself to go to class.
After saying goodbye to Mayura, she returned to the dorm, received headache medication from Ms. Saijyo, the head of the building, and spent the next hour or two lying in bed.
After ten though, she reluctantly got up. Staying in the silent dorm was steadily making her more and more agitated. It was not a place where she could hole up in and feel secure. At least, that was how she felt at that moment. Strangely, the empty dorm, left behind by its inhabitants for the day, only invited loneliness.
Izumiko knew that she should stay out of the public eye as much as possible when she felt so badly. If a doctor had come to see her, she was sure he would have told her to go back to sleep until noon.
When she looked at her face in the mirror, she saw that her eyes were rather swollen from crying long into the early morning. She quietly turned a bit of her attention to her braids which were currently messy and unattractive after being slept on. There was no way she could suddenly stop wearing her signature hairstyle.
…But didn’t someone compliment me when my hair was loose the other day?...
Just thinking about this was enough to make her reconsider her previous thought.
Izumiko gently ran the tips of her fingers down her braids.—The goddess had done that too, the concept seemingly strange to her. Uncertainty poked at Izumiko from inside her stomach. However, the feeling was something she would just have to deal with as long as she wasn’t shutting herself away somewhere for the rest of her life.
Mom’s seal probably isn’t all gone yet. The goddess has only come out at random times so far and she hasn’t shown us any of her destructive abilities… We haven’t seen any power that could create a natural disaster…
She thought about this as she gazed at reflection. The goddess thought that the braids were restrictive. That meant that Izumiko herself could maintain the seal. It didn’t have to be Yukariko.
If I talk myself out of this here and now, I’ll be even more scared than ever and I won’t have the courage to meet anyone new ever again. So, I’ll go to class… Just like I always do… Before school ends and I see Miyuki at student government.
The goddess’s tale of the past and future made her uncomfortable but she didn’t let herself think about that too seriously. It had a far removed feeling from the things Mayura and the others had told her about the World Heritage Candidate. The information contained in the goddess’s word had little meaning to her and she couldn’t force herself to focus on them. To Izumiko, the difficulties she had to overcome were here and now.
She wondered how she should face Miyuki when they met.
The confusion was still there. She had had no say in what had been happening lately and as a result, everything felt very unfinished.
On top of everything else, the troublesome problem of where Wamiya had taken up residence had also come to light. Rather than dwelling incessantly on this though, she supposed it was better to take her mind off of it with her classmates’ everyday chatter.
Izumiko told Ms. Saijo that she was going to class and left the girl’s dorm. It was third period and first year Class C was having their classical Japanese lesson. When she arrived, one of her classmates was laboriously reading out loud from the textbook. Izumiko opened the classroom’s backdoor a crack and slid inside. The teacher gave her a questioning look but said nothing while the student read on.
Izumiko went to her seat, pulled out her textbook and notebook, and opened them to the right pages. Then she let out a breath.
Classical Japanese was probably her best class. Her grandfather, Takeomi had instructed her in it when she had been younger. Because of this, she could find her place in the lesson without any trouble even though she had come in half way through. It was something she could have only done with classical Japanese. When she felt comfortable enough with the lesson, she peaked towards the desk diagonally in front of her where Manatsu Souda was sleeping peacefully in the shadow of his propped up textbook.
Due to the seat changes that had taken place in September, Izumiko’s seat was now behind Manatsu’s. She hadn’t been well aware of it before summer vacation but Manatsu slept through classes often. It was as if his consciousness turned off when he wasn’t moving. Obviously he was going to have a hard time when finals came around.
…Mayura did say that her siblings were a huge burden… Izumiko thought absently.
She wondered if Mayura’s little brother would hold someone who was crying with as much patience as Mayura had. She knew that he would hold his sister like that but what about someone else? If he would hold someone else like that, would he hold Izumiko?...
What am I thinking?
The thought struck her suddenly and just like that she was painfully aware that it was all she could think about. Maybe this was something that everyone across the world knew but Izumiko didn’t have the first clue about it.
…When someone holds someone else, how different is it from when they hold a sibling? How different is it for people of the same gender to hug versus people of opposite genders?...
They might not have been important questions but for some reason, Izumiko was desperate to understand. Still, it wasn’t as if Miyuki would ever go out on a date with her.
But what about me? What would I do?...
The bell rang, signaling the end of third period. It was already lunch.
The students immediately burst into action, exiting the classroom as quickly as they could.
Manatsu had woken up a few minutes before the bell and had been impatiently waiting for it to chime. He stood up quickly, looking around at the students filing out of the room. Finally, his eyes caught on Izumiko.
“Ah, you came, Izumiko.” Manatsu seemed to be the only person who had noticed her. “Today during lunch, the class group in charge of cooking for the festival is having a strategy meeting. You’ll have to give up eating lunch with Mayura until the festival’s over. Class A’s running a rival food stand, you know.”
“Oh, are they?”
“We’ll all be dressed in black with the student government for the whole first day so I guess it really doesn’t matter though,” he added.
It sounded like the class had talked about the festival that morning. The big event was taking place this weekend on both Saturday and Sunday and it was clear to see that the classes’ competitive spirits were already on the rise. The real competition wouldn’t begin until each class’s contribution to the festival was ready to go but every class, regardless of whether they were putting together a food stand or a performance, was already hyped up for the big day.
“I didn’t expect to hear you two catching each other up on what we talked about this morning but here you are.” Karin Hasegawa, the leader of the cooking group, broke into their conversation. “I guess you want to strengthen Class C’s teamwork. Izumiko, were you sick? Are you feeling better now?”
Finding herself standing next to Karin’s solid form, Izumiko hurriedly replied, “I’m okay now. I’ll join the lunch meeting.”
“You were one of the princess models at the kimono demonstration, right? There’s a picture of you going around everyone’s cellphones and computers like crazy. It has a caption on it that says, ‘Who is this?’.”
“What? I didn’t know that!” Manatsu’s eyes went wide. Unlike his sister, Manatsu didn’t play around on the internet. Now that Izumiko had used Daisei’s computer to search the web a little, even she was probably better at using the internet than him.
“It was horrible how long it took people to figure out it was you! I thinkyesterday someone finally wrote, ‘It’s Izumiko Suzuhara from Class 1-C’.”
“Did you really model, Izumiko” Manatsu asked in disbelief at Karin’s words.
“Yeah… It wasn’t planned…” Izumiko answered, blinking. Truthfully, she had already filed the unexpected modeling event away in her head as something that had happened in the past. As a result, her reaction to his question had been delayed. It was also true that she hadn’t been on the web at all on Saturday so there was no way she would have seen the picture.
“The middle school student didn’t come and they needed someone else fast. I was the only substitute available…”
“I wasn’t at school that day. I missed out!” Manatsu said, sounding disappointed.
Izumiko shook her head. “It wasn’t a big deal. It was just something I couldn’t say no to.”
Karin laughed. “Knowing you, they forced you into it. But still, if you look at the picture, you’ll see this unbelievably gorgeous person standing there.”
“Really?”
“Seriously. That’s why there was so much uproar about wanting to know who it was. Everyone knew who your sister was the moment they saw her picture, even though she was dressed as a princess.”
“Oh, I saw that, too— The picture of Izumiko dressed as a princess!” Miyuu Hatano said, appearing as if out of no were and joining the conversation. “I didn’t attend the lecture but I wanted to know how it went and I was looking everywhere for pictures. You were so pretty, Izumiko. You know what else is popular these days? Pictures of ghosts.”
“Pictures of… ghosts?” Izumiko and Manatsu repeated at the exact same time. Karin looked doubtful.
“Uh, but aren’t they just someone’s idea of a bad joke?”
“Maybe but they keep showing up one after another. Everyone’s been posting pictures of places around the lecture hall lately. People look at them really closely and start seeing things here and there,” Miyuu said. She sounded nothing but amused. Clearly, she wasn’t frightened at all. “There are lots of people who think there are plenty more ghosts to find in that area if you search hard enough. I bet there’ll be a lot of people out looking again tonight.”
This was a topic Izumiko couldn’t ignore. Whether it had anything to do with the goddess or not, she couldn’t just stand there calmly and keep listening.
“What kind of pictures have they been taking?”
“They’re just like normal ghosts pictures that you usually see. Floating human-like shadows and faces, hands and feet in places you’d never believe…”
“…How about my picture? Were any of those things in it?”
Sensing Izumiko’s discomfort, Miyuu grew hesitant and uncomfortable with the topic at hand. “There wasn’t anything like that in your photo. I’m sorry. Ignore what I’m saying. There’s so many pictures of you, Izumiko. I bet you’re embarrassed.”
“Don’t worry about it,” Karin said firmly. “People who believe in pictures of ghosts are idiots, anyway. They’re just illusions made by tricks of light and the photo manipulation we can do nowadays.
“Yeah, it’s all just for fun,” Miyuu said vehemently as well. “Everyone’s getting pumped up for the upcoming festival, I guess. Hey, I heard a rumor saying that the third years are putting together a really awesome haunted house. I bet that’s why everyone’s been talking about ghosts.”
Izumiko forced a smile onto her face and nodded. All the same though, she had a vague feeling that something else was going on in the school.

Do you have a taste in your mouth right now? What of? Just the faint taste of coffee since I have a cup at the moment but haven’t drunk from it in the last few minutes. Which is your least favourite day of the week? I’ve lost the concept of the days of the week for a few months now, man. Back when we used to do things, though, I hated Sundays as I felt loneliest on that day. It was always an automatic thing too so I had little control over it. If told to clean the house, would you be more inclined to clean one room really well or clean all of the rooms with hardly any effort? Clean all rooms with maximum effort. I’d be really bugged if I didn’t strive to be perfect with the whole place lol. Do you put glue on the object you're sticking down or on the paper? Object, so that the amount of glue I’m putting would be accurate. What was your last dream about? I don’t remember the details anymore but at the very least, I know it was very vivid since I remembered it throughout the morning. I’ve been having very detailed dreams lately – it’s the depression for sure.
What is your favourite part of the last movie you watched? Haven’t seen a movie in a while but the last thing I watched in full was The Crown; Vanessa Kirby as Princess Margaret really shone through in the last episode I saw. Have you stuck any stickers to the computer you're using? I put all my stickers onto my laptop case but not the laptop itself. I haven’t had the case on for a while now though, since I’m always just at home now. Do you ever write or talk to yourself in your head when you're bored? Yes or when I’m feeling upset, as long as I’m alone. I’ve found that talking to myself is a healthy way to address and deal with my emotions. What interests you the most about other people? What I find interesting always varies. I have friends who I find interesting for their music tastes; some others for their knowledge of random trivia; some for their jobs, etc. It’s always different. Do you ever take random pictures out of boredom? What of? Not really. If I take photos it’s because I want to remember a moment or because I find something cute or funny. Basically anything that elicits a strong emotion out of me, I’m bound to take a picture of. Do you prefer listening to things through headphones or speakers? Headphones. How many siblings do you have? Do you get on with them? I have two siblings. I only get along with my sister; I have not talked to my brother since last year and have no desire to again. Would you rather live in a log cabin or a brick house? Mmm I’d take the brick house. Log cabin would be nice for a quick getaway, but I wouldn’t want it to be my permanent home. There’s a psychological factor in there and I just think that staying in a log cabin would make me feel suffocated eventually, haha. Do you have a calendar up for this year? I have a ‘Job Applications’ calendar that I’m currently monitoring, and it tracks the applications I’ve sent out to different companies and how long I’ve been waiting for a response from each of them. Really needing some positive vibes and energy since I actually just got my first rejection notice today. Other than that this year has been pretty fucking boring and there’s been little need to keep an active calendar. What was the very first CD you bought? The first CD I remember asking my parents to buy for me was like the High School Musical official soundtrack. I was big on Disney as a kid and wasn’t a big fan of any solo acts or bands up until I was around 10. Do you keep things like old train tickets, etc? Yessssssss. Do you like your smile? Why (not)? I like it; I find my smile friendly and warm. I just hate smiling with my teeth at the present since one of my front teeth protrudes. Can’t wait to get braces again. Would you rather be able to sing or dance? Why? Dance. Dancers are super hot, lmao. What was your favourite colour when you were a kid? Do you still like it? It was purple/violet and it was mostly influenced by my great-grandma who lovedddd the color and had it everywhere in her home. When she passed away, my love for the color slowly faded away and I don’t think too much of it now. Have you ever said 'lol' in real life? Haha yeah sometimes. I pronounce it as ‘lohl’ and never ‘el oh el’ though. Do you like your friend's parents? I like most of their parents, though I’m aware that some have abusive tendencies. Most of the parents are super nice, though. JM’s mom cooked a big lunch for us once and his dad buys like four party-sized boxes of pizza every time we come over, Angela’s parents treat me like their own kid, Gab’s mom constantly tells me she loves me...it’s in the little things. How many times have you moved? I can remember just the two times, but I know that we moved several times more when I was an infant. Have you ever refused to try a certain food? Which? Most stuff with fruits, hah. Sometimes it’s unavoidable, like when a sushi roll has mango or if I’m having banoffee pie, but I almost always refuse a meal with some kind of fruit in it. What's your favourite type of soup? Not really big on soup. I just like miso. Very occasionally I’ll have mushroom soup too. What is your favourite candle scent? I don’t buy candles nor do I know people who regularly get them, so I’m not very familiar with the different scents. Does the sight of blood make you feel ill? In real life, it would. I always have to look away whenever Gabie gets a nosebleed ha. But I have no problem watching bloody wrestling matches and I actually enjoy the bloodier ones. Super weird quirk of mine. What do you call it when you're sick anyways? (Sick, ill, not well, etc) If I’m referring to a fever I call it sick/ill/not feeling well. If I feel like throwing up I say I’m getting dizzy/need to vomit. I’ve never referred to puking as ‘getting sick,’ and it took me a very long time to realize that it was a common American saying, haha. Did you ever really believe in the tooth fairy? I did, and I felt super betrayed when I put my tooth under my pillow only to see it again the next morning. If you had to appear in a movie, which genre would you choose? Coming of age. What do you do with unwanted gifts? I keep them, since I still appreciate the effort of the gift-giver. Are there any clothes you haven't worn in ages, that you've suddenly started wearing again? HAHA yes. There will be rare instances where I get to go out and I always take the time to look stylish as all fuck, even though I’m only running an errand and wearing flashier pieces would be so unnecessary. I just miss dressing up and looking cute, man. Do any keys on your keyboard stick? Like, if they’re sticky? No. Would you rather own a laptop or a computer? Laptop. Love it when things are portable. Do you think you'll look at old photos of yourself and be embarrassed? My teenage years are definitely bad especially with regard to my fashion choices lol, but so are everyone else’s so I’m not super embarrassed. I cringe at the photos but I wouldn’t mind if my friends poked fun at them because chances are I’d join in too. What was the worst hairstyle you ever had? I always hated it whenever my mom took me to the salon to have my hair rebonded. That kind of look has never worked with my face shape and so I usually did everything for my hair to start curling up quicker and go back to its original form. Do you like t-shirts with sayings on them? Why (not)? Not really. It’s just not a personal preference. I like plain or slightly printed pieces. Do you click on the adverts at the side of the screen? No. Have you ever coughed and sneezed at the same time? I’m sure it’s happened before. Are you embarrassed to show people your ID photo? Nah. Whatever dude. Have / would you ever become a cheerleader? I haven’t, but I would have loved to. We don’t have a cheerleading club or varsity in my old school though so I was never able to hone my skills, if ever. What's the longest you've gone without eating? Maybe a little more than 24 hours. What is one of your biggest irrational fears? Commercials airing at night. I find jingles and graphic effects unsettling by a certain hour lol. What comes up when you press Ctrl + V? “I reeeeally miss seeing you and your purple things and seeing you give glares to people who deserve it. what a lodi <333” omg aw. It’s Jane’s birthday today and I copied that bit of my greeting to move it to another paragraph so that my message would flow better. Out of the bands you listen to, were most of them around before or after you were born? After. When did you last jump out of fright? I don’t remember. Are you currently waiting on something? What? For a company to take me in. Does time pass slowly or quickly when you're on the internet? Usually it’s quickly, but now that I feel more and more useless around the house, time’s been more slow and for the first time the distractions of the internet haven’t been working. What about when you're at school / work? Depended on the amount of stuff I had to do and whether I’m enthusiastic about them or not. Does the thought of being pregnant gross you out? The thought of giving birth does, but not pregnancy. What was the last thing you made with your hands? I mean I made myself a cup of coffee tonight, but the coffee mix itself was already pre-packaged. I just mixed it with hot water. Are you good at making shadow puppets? I’d say no. Are you more hungry or thirsty right now? Neither. I’ve been so anxious and depressed these days I’m actually skipping every single meal except dinner, and even then I eat very little. I don’t even do it on purpose; my anxiety has simply stopped me from feeling hungry. No idea what the weighing scale’s gonna tell me the next time I check, sigh. Someone hire me plz. God it really sucks being a fresh grad in this current state of the world. Are you prone to headaches? No. They only come out during hectic schedules and stressful weeks. Do you forget things easily? The little and everyday things, like forgetting my school ID at home or where I placed my keys. But I don’t forget things that are more bigger-picture, like birthdays or faces or memories. Do you enjoy going out to dinner? I enjoy it and I terribly miss being able to do it. Would you ever go on a cruise ship holiday? I would and I have. Lots of fun. Would do again and again. What's your favourite sea animal? Dolphins and whales. Do you get coughs or colds more? Coughs.
