"like i said, being a legal adviser isn't necessarily easy, especially when you have a big case. i spend a lot of nights reading into boring cases, like that will i've recently encountered, however, [name] tends to bring me tea and sit in my home office to comfort me. it often distracts me but, i don't mind."

weather: snow
"are you shivering, comrade? this weather is nothing compared to snezhnaya! you really remind of [name]. when i brought them to dragonspine, they were sniffling and whatnot. scared me half to death when a hue of blue took over their face, which is what convinced me to halt my vacation to snezhnaya with them."
chat: sparring
"everything in this world pales in comparison to the thrill of sparring. well, aside from spending time with my lover, of course. speaking of which; they're truly strong. [name] has beaten me every time we've sparred throughout our entire relationship, and they think i'm going easy on them but truth is, i really struggle against them..."

DILUC
about [name]:
"[name]? of course i've met them, they are my lover after all. so you've heard...? they're a wonderful, kind, and passionate soul. what truly delayed our love was that they're a knight of favonius, a captain no less. but, i've grown to love that part of them as well."
chat: job (slightly ooc?)

chat: familial bonds (based off hc, might be a little ooc)
"throughout the millennia i've lived, death has swept past me time and time again. aside from [name], that i met a couple hundred years ago, i've gotten a little attached to xiao, which in turn caused me to keep him closer than i intended. no matter, it fills me with joy to watch xiao open up to someone beside me. [name] tends to have that effect."
chat: tea
"tea is arguably one of the only human invented drinks i can tolerate. it's far better than wine. hm, speaking of which, i often send packages of tea i've acquired to [name]. they seem to love it so, i'd be more than delighted to grace a smile on their lovely face."
chat: painting
"quite like the art of tea, painting is... calming. [name] has been painting for centuries and yet, they have not grown bored of it. i find it astonishing, the way they're easily inspired by the changes of liyue. hm, i do enjoy watching them. sometimes, they would ask me to help them, and who am i to say no to my lover?"
♡
KAEYA

chat: intimacy
"[name] and i both work long hours, and even though we pass by each other a lot in the halls of the knights of favonius headquarters, i do miss their touch. recently, [name] has suggested late night dates. that's when we started going out to cider lake to go swimming. the water's cold but, it's nothing either of us can't handle."
chat: secrets
"you want to know my secrets? haha, if i told you then, they wouldn't be secrets anymore, would they? [name]...? well, it's best they don't know about my secrets... for their safety of course."
chat: spare time
"what i do in my free time...? well, i spend it with [name] of course! life would be dull without their presence. i'm often busy, and i drink a lot but, without them, i'd be nothing but a shell of a man. i have [name] to thank for making me a happy person."
♡
BEIDOU
about [name]:
"what do you want to know about [name]? i'm the official [name] guide! they easily make my life like a boat on calm waters. though, i'm always adventuring on the sea, and they're associated with the qixing, we always make time for each other."
chat: souvenirs
"am i that easy to read? well, anyone with the right mind would bring back gifts for their lover, especially if their lover is [name]. they've told me about how much they enjoy the portrait i ordered to be painted for us, even though it's not a souvenir."
chat: sailing
"of course, [name] has been on my boat! it took a lot of convincing and arguing with ningguang to allow her subordinate to take a couple days off... i'd love to take them sailing again one day, but, i suppose i'll have to wait a while before that opportunity comes by again."
chat: occupation
"being a pirate did not make it any less intriguing for [name] to start a relationship with me. initially, it was platonic but, during my time on the sea, i began really feeling the absence of their voice and touch. that's when i really understood my feelings."
chat: drinking
"regardless of the fact that i do hold my alcohol well, i'm afraid [name] has seen me drunk on multiple occasions. they gave me an earful the mornings after. i understand their worries over me so, i drink less now."

CYNO
about [name]:
"you are not the first to be shocked that i have a lover. what? is it because i'm the general mahamatra? my career doesn't often get in the way of our rela- what? it's because of my appearance? what's wrong with it...? ah, i see. i can assure you, [name] is a person who's almost never afraid. they're mostly fascinated by things that seem thrilling, though i advise them to keep themself safe. not like they listen to me..."
chat: desert
"while [name] hadn't originated from the desert, they adapt quite well. occasionally, they have complained about the heat, not that i blame them but, they adjust rather quickly."
chat: rivalry
"hmph, that al-haitham... he doesn't get along with many people, probably because of that awful attitude of his but, unsurprisingly, he and [name] are close. i'm not afraid to lose them to him, no, but rather cautious of him. you can never trust a man like him."
chat: star watching (slightly ooc?)
"i was never a big fan of the stars but, ever since my first encounter with [name], they've always encouraged me to go star watching with them. the sky has hardly any affect on me and even though i agree to tag along, i always spend my time staring at them. they are truly mesmerizing..."
chat: concerns
"i'm confident in [name]'s ability to protect themself but, my title as general mahamatra does worry me regarding their safety. sometimes, i follow them during their adventures to make sure they're alright. what? they've noticed? i- never mind..."

AL-HAITHAM
about [name]:
"apologies traveler but, i am on a time crunch at the moment. [name]? did something happen to them- ah, never mind. your expression is too relaxed for anything bad to have happened to them while i was away. you want to talk about them...? well, ask away, i suppose."
chat: academic
"yes, [name] and i both studied at the akademiya. we were rivals at one point but, somewhere along the way, they had me hooked. looking at it from a much different perspective, i see now, that it was the best thing to have ever happened to me."
chat: knowledge
"nothing halts me from my thirst for knowledge. but, if anything comes close to it, it would be [name]. hm... no, i'd say they're the only one who could. nonetheless, they would never, seeing as they always praise and encourage me."
chat: rivalry
"general mahamatra? i wouldn't be surprised if he wanted [name]. first, after a position he was second best at, and now my lover? i'd like to see that fool try."
chat: reading
"comprehending every aspect of this world and it's secrets is a passion both [name] and i share. i'd have to admit, they're more into the pleasure of sparring over knowledge but, we do often spend our time reading together."

𝒞𝓇𝑒𝒶𝓉𝒾𝓋𝑒 𝒟𝒾𝓈𝓉𝓇𝒶𝒸𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃: 𝓅𝓉 1
(Dean Winchester x Artist/Bartender!Female Reader)
(𝓅𝒶𝓇𝓉 2) (𝓅𝒶𝓇𝓉 3)
𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: You’re an artist that fell in love with a mysterious boy right before college. Then he left without any way to contact him. Decades later you’re an artist/bartender and you’re surprised to see who comes walking through the door.
𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: none that I can think of.
𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞: I have no idea who actually did the cover art for The Prince of Thorns, King of Thorns and Emperor of Thorns by Mark Lawrence, the comic illustrations of the Maximum Ride series by James Patterson, or Cinder by Marissa Meyer. But I loved the artwork for the cover art and illustrations, so they deserve all the credit for their creativity. ((The artwork and references to the books is just to use to build Y/N’s portfolio, I do not own any of the artworks.))
It wasn’t easy being an artist. And it didn’t help that you seemed to be a starving artist at that. Everything seemed to have been done already. You supposed that your creative mind wasn’t as unique as you originally thought it would be.
You had countless sketchbooks in your home, just on one of your many bookshelves, purely dedicated to the sketchbooks you’ve had over the years. You’ve been sketching and drawing for as long as you can remember. You picked up on using water color and oil pastels sometime in high school when you were being experimental with your styles. But over the years you found that your luck expanding on your career was sort of a fifty fifty shot.
When someone hadn’t commissioned you to paint a wall of theirs, or if you weren’t working on a cover for some author - which was also another rare opportunity - You spent your time working at a bar in Wisconsin. It was some way to make some money after all, plus you did get to meet some pretty interesting people.
As for tonight, it was just another Thursday night for you and you were on your break. With that being said, you had your sketchbook out and you were sketching yet again.
Lately, in your personal sketchbook, you would draw the familiar face of a man you used to know. One that probably didn’t even remember your name, but you’d always remember his. You’d always remember his beautiful eyes that reminded you of the green forest, or the way his smile would light up any room he’d step into. You could remember the smell of his leather jacket, or the way that unusual pendant looked a little too good around his neck. You could still remember the sound of his laugh, or the flirtatious little tone and his mischievous smirk. He was a man you knew you could never forget, even after all these years.
“Drawing that mystery man of yours again, Y/N?” A work friend of yours named Danielle asked.
You glanced up at her while she adjusted her glasses and sat in front of you, “He’s no mystery.. just a memory.”
“You know, if you really can’t forget about him then maybe you should look for him.” She suggested and you shook your head.
“That’s not possible. Even when we first met during the summer before my freshman year of college, he was always traveling around with his father. It was a part of his career. And if anything, the guy’s still going it. They always traveled around the country.” You explained and Danielle pouted a little.
“You mean you can’t even track down what business it was? Not even by phone number or anything? Some company they ran.” She said and you rubbed the back of your neck.
“Did he even tell you what kind of business he was a part of?” You shook your head.
“No… he was really secretive and he always told me he didn’t want to freak me out. A part of me wonders if he didn’t trust me. Then after like two weeks together he ghosted me.” You admitted.
“And you’re still obsessing over him? Come on, you’ve really got to let it go. If he was that much of a douche to ghost you and if he didn’t even leave you a way to contact him, then you have got to move on.” Danielle told you and you knew deep down she was right.
You looked down at the picture again of your ‘mystery man’ as Danielle liked to call him. Just as you were about to put the pencil to your paper once more, Danielle’s hand got in the way and she dragged the book across the table and rotated it so she could take a look at your work.
“Okay, this guy can’t actually be real. No one is that attractive.” She said with a chuckle before she looked up at you once more.
“So what did you say his name was again?” She asked as she handed you the sketchbook again.
“Dean… Dean Winchester.”
“Dean… Not a bad name I guess. Better than like Brad or something.” She laughed.
“Any chance that he’s a reader? Maybe he’s seen your cover art on some books.” You shook your head.
“No, he’s not much of a reader. His brother is a reader though so.. maybe? Although who knows if Sam would read any of the books I’ve done the artwork for.” You shrugged, unsure if Sam read any fantasy novels or science fiction.
“His brother’s name is Sam? That’s a little anticlimactic isn’t it? Is it short for something?”
“I don’t think it’s anticlimactic. Simplistic. And no, I don’t think it’s short for anything, but I never really asked Dean about it. Never met Sam.”
“Hey! Y/N! Danielle! Y’all can’t leave me by myself, I just got here!” A second voice said and that was your other friend, Callie. She had a bit of a southern twang in her voice that was definitely different compared to your other coworkers.
You and Danielle both laughed and you got up from your seat. You closed your sketchbook and went back to the back of the bar to put your sketchbook in your backpack. Then you began to resume your shift. The sooner the night was over with, the sooner you could go home and maybe check your emails and see if anyone has reached out to you for any projects.
The next several hours went by and it was closing time at the bar. You walked out of the bar with the two coworkers.
“Have you two heard the news yet about the Nelson’s wife?” Callie asked and you glanced over at her, brow arched upward.
“No. I didn’t even know something happened.” You said.
“Well apparently when Mr. Nelson came home last night, his door was opened up and there were some kind of freaky claw marks on the door. When the boss went inside he saw that his wife’s guts were literally outside of her body. But you wanna know the weird thing of it all?”
“There’s a weird part? Just when I thought things couldn’t get any better!” You asked.
“Ha ha, very funny.” Callie replied, not finding your sarcasm amusing at the moment.
“The weirdest part was that her heart was missing. No weapon was found, no evidence of some kind of fur if it really was an animal attack. The police have searched the place top to bottom to find any clues or evidence of an animal attack. But honestly I’m surprised the bar was even opened tonight.” Callie continued.
“That explains why I hadn’t seen the boss tonight. He must be going through a lot. I couldn’t imagine losing my boyfriend in such a horrific way… and to actually see his wife like that? I can’t imagine.” Danielle said and you frowned a little.
As difficult as it was to learn about the loss of your boss’ wife, you didn’t think that your boss would be missing that much. The Mrs. didn’t exactly have a great reputation after all. She was a bit of the town harlot to put it lightly. It was common knowledge that she had been cheating on her husband for the past three years with several men.
“How is Mr. Nelson taking it?” You asked.
“Well as far as I know he’s been at the sheriff’s office all day for an interrogation. You know how it is, always suspecting the spouse first. I don’t know if he’s actually had the time to really mourn.” Callie replied.
“Well… surely it’s just some freakish accident. It couldn’t possibly happen again. The same animal wouldn’t strike the same town twice, right?” You said.
“I wouldn’t think so.” Callie said.
“Well just incase that animal is still around… make sure you get home safe! Why don’t we create a group text now just to make sure we all get home okay.” Danielle suggested.
“Honestly… that doesn’t sound like a bad idea.” You said and pulled out your phone.
Once the three of you were on the group chat, you split off into your different vehicles to go home. You made it to your apartment and shut the door behind you. You tossed your bag on the couch before you plopped on the furniture, then you reached for the remote and turned on the television.
There wasn’t anything good on TV so you changed the channel to Boomerang and watched some cartoons. They were playing the old episodes of Scooby-Doo and you smiled to yourself. You hadn’t watched this show in years and you felt nostalgic watching it. Then your mind wandered off to the old days. You started to think about the summer with Dean.
You shook your head, deciding that Danielle was right and you really should forget about Dean. It’s been years and you never saw Dean again after the best two weeks of your life. It wasn’t worth thinking about. So you grabbed your computer and checked some emails to see if anyone’s reached out.
Evidently there was an email for some author named Marissa Meyer. She was emailing you to compliment your illustrations for James Patterson’s Maximum Ride comics and for the cover art of some other books. Honestly you were surprised. She was writing to see if you’d be willing to do some cover art for one of her books. She emailed you the plot of whatever story this would be and she said the title she planned was Cinder. It seemed to be an interesting plot so you started typing out the response, letting the author know you’d be willing to make the cover art and that you just needed a deadline for it.
Shortly after you sent the email, you started looking at some inspiration photos on Google and Pinterest and that was when your phone started ringing. When you glanced down, you saw that it was a group call with Danielle and Callie. You smiled and you answered the phone before you lifted the phone to your ear.
“Hello?” You answered.
“Oh good, you answered!” Danielle exclaimed on the other line and you chuckled.
“Don’t worry, no animals have broken in to attack me yet.” You clarified and Callie laughed.
“See, I told you there was nothing for you to worry about. She’s probably getting ready to draw something and you broke her concentration.” Callie said and you hummed a little.
“Haven’t started just yet. Though about water coloring though.” You admitted since it had been a while since you’d used that medium.
“Well next time send a text! That was the whole reason why we made the group chat, remember?” Danielle continued and you grinned.
“Sorry for worrying you. I’m alright, and I’m glad both of you are alright too.” You insisted.
“Are both of you working tomorrow night?” You asked.
“I know I am.” Danielle replied with a little bit of an exasperated sigh.
“I’m not. I’ve got the rest of the week off.” Callie spoke up.
“The whole week? So we’ll see you when, Monday?” You asked.
“Yep. Needed a little me time and what perfect time would that be than having the weekend all to yourself?” She said.
“What about Dylan?” Danielle asked, referring to Callie’s boyfriend.
“He said he was… busy with something.” Callie said.
“You know, Danielle, you and Chris may like this one restaurant on South drive.” Callie said, talking about Danielle’s boyfriend and you felt like the odd one out, not having gone on a date in about three years.
“I’ll let the two of you talk about your boyfriends and your little date ideas.” You said and you were about to hang up before the both of them started talking to you to not hang up.
“Woah woah woah! Why don’t we get you hooked up with someone?” Callie asked.
“Yeah, that would be fun! I mean it’s been a while so what’s the harm in it? We can take you to the bar after work this Saturday night.”
You arched a brow before you looked at your bag that still had the sketchbook with the pictures of Dean in it. You supposed maybe going out this weekend maybe help you get over the memory. Dean was more of a phantom of that summer anyway.
“I suppose that could work. I get off at six. I can get home and get ready by seven or something.” You replied.
“Oh good! Maybe on break tomorrow you and I can go looking for some cute dresses for you to wear!” You cringed at Danielle’s words and you used your free hand to rub the back of your neck.
“Great.” You muttered with nervous laughter.
“Hang on, guys. I have to go. Dylan is calling me.” Callie groaned with some sort of annoyance in her tone and you wondered if everything was alright. However before you asked, she hung up.
“Wonder if she’s alright.” You said since Danielle was on the other line.
“Honestly I think she and Dylan have been in a bit of a rough patch recently. I wouldn’t be surprised if they break up by the end of the month.” She sighed.
“Rough patch? What’s been going on?”
“Well from what Callie’s ranted about, Dylan is developing some trust issues ever since she told him she didn’t want to live together.”
“What? They’ve only been dating for like a month and he wanted to move in?”
“Something like that…”
“Well you’re being awfully gracious for giving them the end of the month to end things. I’ll give them a week and a half if that.” You chuckled.
“You never know. Anyway, it’s getting late. See you tomorrow?” Danielle said.
“I’ll be there.”
Dean rubbed the back of his head as he walked down the stairs. Then he tied the strap of his robe around his waist as he made his way into the library just to see Sam reading a book. Not much of a surprise there. But this time it didn’t seem like it was a research book in his hands.
“Whatcha got there?” Dean asked, hearing his brother hum in response.
“It’s a fantasy series by Mark Lawrence. I’m reading the second one called King of Thorns.” Sam spoke.
“I didn’t exactly take you to be a fantasy ready. Always thought of you as more of a realist.” Dean admitted as he sat down across from his brother before he moved the laptop across the table. Then Dean opened it up so he could see if there was any new cases that sounded like his and Sam’s thing.
“Charlie recommended the book to me. Said that it was pretty good. Like it’s not Lord of the Rings good or Harry Potter good, but she thought it was worth the read nonetheless.” Sam said.
Dean hummed as he looked over at the book again and he caught a glimpse of the front cover, “Cover art’s pretty good.”
“Yeah… Charlie said the artist has done quite a little bit. She’d done the cover art of this trilogy and the illustrations for some sort of comic series based off some YA science fiction books. I think her name is.. oh hang on I think her name might be in the book.” Sam said as he flipped to the back.
“Oh here it is. Cover artist, Y/N L/N.”
Dean’s gaze shot from the book in Sam’s hand to Sam right after he read the name. That was a name he hadn’t heard in years. Felt like centuries really.
“Let me see that. I want to get a better look at the cover.” Dean said and Sam put his bookmark between the pages and handed the book to him.
As Dean looked at the cover, he admired the work. He suddenly began to recall that summer when he was a couple decades younger. Still fresh and when John was still around. He remembered meeting this beautiful girl in Wisconsin. You, in fact.
That was the best two weeks of his entire life. He remembered how great of an artist you were, how much he loved looking through the sketchbooks you showed him. He remembered you telling him way back when that you wanted to be an artist. Seems like you’ve come quite a ways if you’ve done some illustrations and some book covers.
“Has this artist done anything else?” Dean asked curiously.
“Since when were you interested in art?” Sam asked with a smirk as he leaned in, his arms folded in front of him on the table. Then the look of realization went across his face.
“Wait… Y/N. Isn’t that the girl from-“
“Wisconsin? Yeah.” Dean said and he chuckled.
“Honestly the best summer I’ve ever had.” Dean admitted.
“Why didn’t you ever go back to visit her? Is she a hunter? Maybe she could help us on some hunt sometime.” Sam said, trying to be encouraging but Dean shook his head a little.
“No, she wasn’t a hunter. In fact she was far from it. When I met her, she hadn’t even started college yet. Just graduated high school. She had no idea of the darkness in the world that we deal with and well… I wanted to spare her from it.” He said.
“Sounds like you had it bad. Dad wondered why it took you two weeks to end the case. He said it was awful long for you.” Sam smirked.
“Honestly, yeah. I did. if I wasn’t a hunter, I might have stayed. Maybe even go to summer school or work as a mechanic there to make a living just to stick around while she was on her campus. She was a sweet girl but I knew if I stayed, monsters would come and I didn’t want her exposed to that kind of shit just because I stayed around. I finished the case in a week but I stayed the extra week before I had to decide to move on.” Dean continued.
“Do you ever regret it?” Sam asked.
“Honestly, I don’t think she would even remember me.” Dean replied and handed the book to Sam yet again. Sam took it and set it down on the table beside him.
“I think she’d remember… anyway, as far as I know she’s just illustrated for that series and the covers for this series.” Sam said but he pulled out his phone to search your name.
“Here’s something… She’s painted some walls in the local elementary school building as well as a pediatrician’s office. But honestly I think that’s the only commissions she’s had. Other than that, based off her social media she’s just working in a bar.”
“A bartender? A girl of her talent should be working for some comic company. Maybe even character designing for some animation studio.” Dean said with a bit of surprise.
“Well, sometimes people aren’t always that lucky in life. But I agree with you, she is good.” Sam sighed as he closed out his phone before putting it back in his pocket. Then he turned his attention back to Dean who was looking back at the computer screen in front of him.
“Find anything worth while?” He asked his older brother.
“Well speaking of Wisconsin…. Turns out some bar owner’s wife was found dead. Police are calling it an animal attack but there wasn’t any evidence of an animal left behind. Then again there wasn’t exactly any evidence of humans either because apparently, intestines were outside the poor woman’s body and her heart was missing.” He said.
“So… werewolf maybe?” Sam suggested.
“That’s my first thought. We might as well head that way and check it out for ourselves.” Dean said and Sam nodded before Dean decided to get up so he could take a shower and get dressed before going on the hunt.
When Dean made it into his room, he decided that’s before he’d get dressed he’d look for something.
Honestly he wasn’t even sure if he still had this amongst his memorabilia. He didn’t exactly carry ugh outside of his pictures of his parents, Bobby and Sam and himself when they were younger. But when Dean opened up the auto man at the end of his bed and started looking through old pictures and papers, he moved his father’s journal to the side and then he found a black folder.
Dean let out a breath of relief as he pulled the black folder out and he sat down on the bed. The field was made of paper and it was a bit worn with the years of being moved around since they went from motel to motel a lot. Then Dean opened up the folder and he was pleasantly surprised to find that what he was looking for was still inside.
Inside of the folder there was a sheet of sketch paper with a drawing of both you and him on it. It was an old picture, Dean’s hair was longer and he didn’t quite have bags under his yees from the years of losing sleep because of a hunt. Then there was you, and you were even more gorgeous in person. Your talented hand didn’t give you justice on paper.
In the picture, you were wrapped up in his arms while the two of you sat down on a blanket in the grass. Both of you had a peaceful expression as you looked out at the lake. Dean could still remember the way you felt in his arms, remembering the moment you had drawn in the picture. It was the second to the last night that he spent in Wisconsin.
Dean smiled at the memory, knowing that even after so many years you still had a piece of his heart. But then reality started to get to him and he wondered if you had been married after college graduation. Did you have a family of your own? Dean calculated and by this time you had to be in your mid thirties like he was, right? Most people were arrived by then if they were lucky, and any man would be lucky to have someone so special like you.
Honestly Dean couldn’t help but wonder if maybe you still thought about him once in a while. Maybe late at night when you were watching a movie drinking some wine and drawing one of those covers Sam showed him, he wondered if you thought about him.
Dean put the picture back into the folder and placed it on the night table beside his bed before he grabbed his bag and some clothes to pack up. Then he got his other pair of jeans and a shirt to wear before he headed off to the shower.
Two days had gone by and that was the night you were supposed to go out with Danielle and Callie to some sort of club or whatever. Honestly you weren’t sure if dancing was your thing. You weren’t in your twenties anymore after all but when you were texting Danielle about it all she told you was that it was something to put you out there, give you something fun to look forward to this weekend.
At the moment you weren’t really focused on your little outing that night. You were a little more concerned about the fact that you hadn’t heard from Callie in the last couple of days.
It wasn’t like Callie. She typically texted you and Danielle at least once daily whether she texted some sort of joke or sent a picture of some silly picture first thing in the morning before going about her day and living her life on her days off. But it had been two days and you found it odd that she hadn’t sent any memes, jokes, or even talked about going out that night.
When the door opened you happened to glance up and you saw Danielle running in with a frantic expression across her features. When Danielle made eye contact with you, you realized she was rushing over to the bar to meet you.
“Y/N, have you heard from Callie lately? I saw her boyfriend this morning and he was out at some diner and he acted like he was just fine while he was sitting beside some girl.” She rambled, catching you off guard with how fast she was talking.
“What? No I haven’t, wait he was with another girl?” You asked.
“Yeah and you wanna know what else? I heard Nelson was visited by two guys in suits. I think the FBI is looking into it. Maybe they caught a glimpse of something with Nelson’s wife and they’re looking into it.”
“But the cops already talked to Nelson. That was the whole point of him not stopping by the bar at all like two days ago. Why would the FBI need to talk to him again? Poor guy’s already been through enough.” You said.
“Well, honestly I don’t think Nelson minds. I bet he’s a little glad he doesn’t have to deal with the constant heartbreak of his wife bumping ugliest with different men every other night.”
“Oh come on, that’s a little bit of an exaggeration.” You tried to give the former Mrs. Nelson the benefit of the doubt.
“Would you really be surprised if it was that often though?” Danielle smirked, you rolled your eyes a little before you started putting some of the clean glasses away to prepare for customers.
“Do you think the FBI will come here to see if we know anything? You know the manager’s out of town this week. What do we tell them if they happen to come in?” Danielle asked, starting to get a little worried, not much to your surprise.
“Danielle, breathe. If they come in and you spot them, just send them to me. I’ve got it covered. Not that they’ll ask anything we have any knowledge about anyway.” You said and Danielle took a deep breath before exhaling and nodding.
“I’m still worried about Callie.” She said.
“Well think about it… if you and your boyfriend broke up, are you going to want to spend a lot of time on your phone for the first couple of days? Or are you going to want to sleep and isolate for a while before you start making public appearances again.” You reasoned.
“I don’t know…”
“I’ll tell you what. After we clock out tonight, we can go over to Callie’s house and check up on her and make sure she’s alright.” You insisted.
“Okay… yeah that sounds like a plan.”
“Now… why don’t you go ahead and clock in and we can get the show on the road. They may not even come at all, and Callie will more than definitely be alright.” You insisted and Danielle nodded.
With that being said the two of you got to work. You were busily serving different customers at the bar with different drinks. Some you were used to making but apparently there were some visitors and they wanted something fancy. Two preppy looking guys had just walked through the door and made themselves comfortable at the bar. They looked like they were the country club type of guys.
“Hey, Miss! Can I get a Boulevardier cocktail over here?” One of them said. He had waved ginger hair and he was wearing a blue golf shirt.
“Yeah and I’ll have Vieux Carre cocktail, Darlin.” The other said. He was blond, hair parted to the side and he wore an orange golf shirt with white stripes.
These people must’ve had the worst taste in clothing, and an even worse taste in drinks. You couldn’t even try and pronounce these things and you weren’t even sure if you had the right ingredients for these stupid sounding drinks.
“Sure. I’ll get right on that for you fellas.” You replied and went to the back to get the glasses. Then you pulled out the phone to see what the heck those drinks were. Luckily for you, you had some similar ingredients, but you weren’t working in a fancy bar so you had some pretty basic drinks, they’ll just have to deal with generic.
You grabbed what you needed and started to make the drinks and you thought you heard Danielle’s voice followed by two gruff sounding voices. Yay, more customers.
You were too focused on making the drinks but that was when Danielle started walking towards the bar with the two men she was talking to.
“Y/N? I’ve got a couple of agents that would like to speak with you.” Danielle called.
When you glanced over you saw a familiar green pair of eyes, the ones that you’ve drawn numerous times. They’ve changed though, like they’ve seen so much more. But seeing Dean there… it was like everything in your world stopped and you accidentally dropped the glasses you needed.
The sound of the glass shattering on the floor snapped you out of it.
You immediately started looking for a broom but Danielle started rushing over to help you, “Don’t worry about it. I’ll get it for you. What did these guys order?”
“Thank you… Some cocktails with fancy names. I’ll send you the recipes.” You said as you wiped your hands on the apron.
“You okay? You look like you’ve just seen a ghost.” She said and you nodded a little.
“Yeah, I’m okay… I’ll tell you later.” You told her, not wanting to be wrong if your suspicions are correct.
You nibbled on your bottom lip softly before letting it go and you walked over to the two federal agents.
Dean was straightening up his tie uncomfortably. All these years later and he still hated these damned monkey suits but then he felt Sam nudge his arm and when Dean looked up, he could feel his breath taken away.
No, it couldn’t be you could it?
You looked so beautiful, time seemed to have done wonders for you and Dean almost found it hard to breathe at the sight of you.
Of all the towns this case had to take place in, it just had to be the one you lived in. Have you heard anything about the case? You didn’t know about all the ugliness out there yet, did you?
“My friend said you wanted to speak with me? How can I help you?”
God your voice brought back so many memories, but Dean couldn’t dwell on them. Besides, you probably forgot about him so what was the point? Still… it was eating at his mind.
“Um… yeah… Agent Peart, could you get us a couple of drinks and maybe talk to one of the other bartenders?” Dean said.
Sam looked over and raised a brow skeptically. Dean was lucky Sam didn’t really question it and the younger Winchester walked off, giving Dean the time to be alone with you.
“So Ms… L/N, right?” Dean asked, almost hesitant.
But he watched the corner of your lips turn upward into a smile, “Yes, Agent Winchester.”
Dean couldn’t help but smile at the fact that you did remember him after all.
“I wasn’t sure if you’d recall…”
“Dean, it may have been a few years since that summer but I’m not old enough for dementia.” You joked.
Dean couldn’t help but laugh a little and the two of you found a place to sit at the bar table. It’s been so long since he’s been this close to you and it felt just like it did before.
“So how’ve you been? How’s your father and the business?” You asked, Dean remembered that he never told you the exact truth. You had a lot to catch up on he supposed.
“Dad um… well he passed several years ago. About five years after that summer, actually.” Dean said and he watched the way you began to frown.
“I’m sorry to hear that… I remember how you used to talk about him and how close you were.” You told him and he gave a bittersweet smile.
“Things well.. they changed in the five years after. A lot did actually. But my brother and I actually take care of the family business.” He told you and you lifted a brow.
“If you’re an agent now, how do you have the time for a traveling business?” You asked and he felt his palms get clammy, knowing that might be a difficult thing to answer.
“Um… well… Agents like me and Peart aren’t always in one place, so I still travel a lot anyway and when I’m off duty I handle the business as much as I can.” He tried to explain in the most believable way possible.
“You never did tell me what kind of business your dad started. I was always so curious.” You said and Dean wished he could tell you the truth.
“Actually… I need to ask you a few questions. I’m sort of on a case and I don’t really have a whole lot of time to catch up this time around.” He admitted softly.
Dean felt his heart sank at the way your shoulders seemed to slump a little before you looked down at your glass of brandy. He wished he could spend as much time with you as possible, but he couldn’t afford to lose anymore people. People have already lost their lives because of him and he couldn’t afford to do that to you too. He couldn’t handle it.
“What is it you want to know, Agent?”
The switch to the professionalism in your tone pierced Dean through the heart. Maybe he should have asked Sam to keep him some company after all, but from the looks of it he was busy interviewing someone else and writing notes down like the nerd he was.
“The owner… did you have many interactions with his wife?” He asked and he watched you shake your head.
“No. Too busy working. Plus she seldom came here anyway. She was more of a promiscuous woman than anything else. Nelson knew that better than anyone else.” You sighed.
“Nelson.. do you think he’d ever want to take revenge on his wife or pay someone to do it?” Dean asked, making this seem like routine questions - in a way they were still important for a hunter’s case. Who knows, maybe Nelson could he the werewolf he was looking for.
“And risk losing the bar because he’s in jail? No. He was hurt by his wife’s actions, yeah. But for a while they tried to work on it, but then they separated for a month. After that they started living together again before the affairs started up again. And from the looks of it he didn’t have the time to deal with his adulterous wife if she wasn’t willing to change. But there were rumors of a divorce.”
“Do you think Nelson had any enemies? Someone that wanted to get to him through the Mrs?” Dean asked.
“Look, Dean. I don’t keep tabs on my boss and his wife. I don’t care about that kind of thing. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have customers to serve and you have a murder to solve. Don’t let me keep you.” You said and abruptly stood up and walked away to get back to work.
Dean rubbed his face before pinching the bridge of his nose, “Well that looks like it was a disaster.”
Dean heard the sound of his brother’s voice and he rolled his eyes a little before he got up.
“Let’s get out of here and compare notes…”
“You okay, Man?”
“I’m fine, Sam. Let’s just go.” Dean stated and he pushed his chair in before they walked out of the door after putting some cash on the table top for the drinks.
Once the two of them got into the car, Dean started the Impala and when he was pulling out he started to drive to the hotel, then Sam started to talk again.
“So why were you so in a rush to leave? What the hell happened back there?” Sam asked, causing Dean to grimace a little but he knew his brother wouldn’t let it go until he knew what was going on.
“You remember the girl we were talking about? The cover artist?” He said and Sam nodded.
“Wait, that was Y/N? Why don’t we go back? You two can catch up! It’s just a werewolf case, a milk run. I can handle this and give you time with her.” Sam said; and as much as Dean appreciated the willingness, he knew his chances were probably gone.
“Oh no… what did you do?” Sam asked when Dean went quiet.
“Why is it always something that I did?” Dean asked and Sam scoffed.
“Because, Dean. As smooth as you are with women you’ll never see again, you always screw up with the ones that matter and you let them go. Why are you trying to let this one go?”
“Because I can’t have what happened to Jo and Lisa happen to her. Even though Jo was a hunter, she still got killed! Lisa didn’t have experience with hunting, never wanted anything to do with it, and she just got in trouble just by knowing me.” Dean said sternly, beginning to speed because he wasn’t exactly focused on the road.
“Dean! Slow down! We aren’t on a roller coaster!”
Dean heard his brother’s panicky voice and he eased on the gas and tried to focus on what he was doing and eventually they made it to the hotel. Luckily there weren’t any cops on the road so he didn’t get pulled over or anything on the way. But he turned off the car and Sam cleared his throat a little.
“Sam, I don’t want advice on this one. It’s better to just let this one go.”
“Dean, come on. I know for a fact you still have that picture she drew for you. And you said it yourself, that was the best summer of your life! You deserve to experience that kind of happiness again. Especially since things seem to be so calm right now. No angelic wars, no apocalypses, things are quiet and you deserve a break.”
Dean was still quiet.
“And you still aren’t going to tell me what down at the bar, are you?”
With a grunt, Dean stepped out of the car and started making his way up the stairs to get to their designated room.

hello >-<
so i have this idea
hobie is a punk musician right? what if he kinda like this artist (their work and all) but the artist is a anon so he got no idea who it was but he knows their art style by heart
he would go to art galleries that will feature the artist
he would even go to the extent of buying a print or two
he would also ask for a commission from the artist
but he would do all of it in incognito (he’s like an idol idoling his idol from the fake acc to ask for comms to disguises just to go to the gallery)
little did he know his fav artist/reader is also a big fan of his band
how would they meet??
(sorry if it’s to long or kinda hard to understand, thank youuu have a wonderful day)
•🍓
You have no idea how much I loved this. I kinda projected myself (like I’ve honestly been in all of my hobie fanfics, but bcs I too, am a punk and do art occasionally) my eco-punk tendencies keep showing, and I’m honestly not gonna stop anytime soon (as you can tell from the constant mention of plants in my writing). This took me forever but I’ve been hella busy 😭
I’ll perhaps do a second part of this
WC: 1.2K or something.
Art is Freedom — Hobie x GN!Reader
"Art is Freedom" was the signature of the anonymous artist Hobie desired to meet. There was something about their art that simply fascinated him. From murals made out with plants, to your standard mural with spray paint. In galleries, this same artist did installations with all sorts of recycled materials. From newspaper, cardboard, paper, sometimes even stuff like aluminium and glass. Others screen printing on recycled fabric and old shirts, and most recently digital art, with the option of buying prints.
What Hobie liked about this artist was how cold and straightforward could they be with their art to express their thoughts and feelings. With a strong commentary on environmentalism. Also very graphic art talking about feminism and domestic violence. He loved the passion put into these pieces, he gawked at the raw energy expiring from the art pieces.
However, tracking them down was particularly hard. They were good at covering up their tracks. Although Hobie knew what that was like, so he started thinking in a similar way this anonymous artist would do. Sometimes feeling guilty for wanting to uncover this artist’s identity, he wouldn’t like it if someone was waiting for him to make a mistake at covering his tracks and found out who he was. But at the same time, he genuinely wanted to meet this person, have a talk with them, sure that Spider-Man and this artist would get along very well.
One fortuitous day, at the art gallery Hobie liked to frequent, there was a new exposition. This one was a photography show. It was the first time this artist showcased pictures. The theme was punk. And most of the photos were from concerts. Spider-Man was even in most of them. Not only was this artist a fan of his band, but from the pictures, Hobie was able to get an idea of who this artist was.
The group of hardcore punks who always showed up to his concerts, art shows, or were wrecking havoc during manifestations, was for the most part the same crowd. Some faces and even names became familiar not only to him but to everyone else.
And you had a face easy to recognise. You had a reputation for always being in the middle of the mosh pit, jamming and jumping like everybody else. However, you were taking pics. Right in the middle of the mosh, you managed to take the best pictures from the stage and the crowd. How did you manage to take those pics while getting out, not only yourself but your camera intact? It was a mystery many people liked to think about.
Hobie had seen you at almost every gig. And he’d seen the magnificent work you did with the photos. However, for the two years he’s been following this anonymous artist, he’d never seen photos. However, for the three or four years you’ve been following his band, he’d seen you in the crowd and seeing your work.
And now standing in front of your exposition, he could clearly identify the peculiar style of the pictures. Those pictures clearly were taken from the depths of a mosh pit. And keeping cameras intact and photos this good of a mosh pit could only be you.
His eyes widened at the realisation. He knew you all along, and had been watching your work from afar for so long. He didn’t personally know you, but he’d seen you around so much to think you were a cool lad, the pins on your jacket were rad, and that you had good taste in music. And of course, he thought you were a talented photographer.
But now that he’d put two and two together, not only were you a magnificent photographer, but an overall artist. The respect and admiration he felt for you duplicated, as he’d thought he was admiring at two different artist while it was actually one and the same.
“Oh! Look at these!” Some people in the gallery said as they neared the pictures and paid close attention to them. “Dude, this pics are sick! Kinda like the ones you always take!”
He diverted his gaze and saw a couple of people leaning closer to take in the details, and a third person wearing a hoodie. Hands hidden in the pouch and hood over their head.
“They’re pretty good,”
Hobie raised an eyebrow as he paced around the gallery, trying to get closer, wondering if it could be you underneath that hoodie.
As he got closer, pretending to glance at the pictures, he saw you from the corner of his eyes and smirked. Your poker face was actually very good, but he could see right through it.
“You think the artist knows how meaningful their art is to others?” Hobie said in a low voice as he glanced at you.
“They better! They’re fucking awesome!” One of your friends said, clueless of what Hobie was trying to do.
“I’m sure they’ve got some idea,” You said meeting Hobie’s stare.
“Well, they sure are my favourite artist, I’ll tell you that…” He said confidently. “I’ve seen you around in gigs, haven’t I?”
“Yeah, probably. I’m always around in gigs…” You said shyly.
“Especially Spider-Man! You love that guy!” One of your friends said, as you felt your cheeks warming up slightly.
“Do you?” Hobie asked.
“His style is very unique. And he’s amazing. He’s been a huge inspiration for me,” reluctantly, you admitted.
“Really? That’s cool. I’m Hobie,” His smirk flashed across his face with a slight arrogant yet full of charm.
“Nice meeting you,” You introduced yourself to him, telling him your name. “I like your style…” You said, pulling one of your hands out of the pouch of your hoodie and pointed at his pins.
“Thanks,” He said, repeating your name. “So, you said Spider-Man was an inspiration…”
“I do art sometimes,” You shrugged. “I wish I could live off of it but, it’s hard,”
“The world is so unkind to artist, unless you decide to sell yourself like a whore,”
You looked at Hobie, thinking there was something strangely familiar and yet refreshing of him. He was tall, he was skinny, but definitely looked like the guy you wouldn’t want to get in a fight with. And yet, he didn’t look all that intimidating. In fact, you felt curious.
“Yeah, pretty much…” You agreed.
“Wanna go for a beer sometime?”
It was hard for you not to smirk as you looked away. Your friends now further away, having read the room and left you alone with Hobie.
“Excuse me?” You armed yourself with courage to look back at him and meet his stare, his eyes a lighter shade of brown compared to the rest of his skin. He was gorgeous, you thought.
“You seem like a pretty interesting person, I’d like to know you better and know a bit more about the art you make, if that’s okay of course…” He shrugged, nonchalantly, able to read your slightly shy and awkward demeanour.
“Do I know you?” You asked.
Hobie chuckled softly. Knowing exactly what you meant, wondering if you were able to somehow relate him to Spider-Man already.
“Yeah, I introduced myself two minutes ago,” he teased, as you chuckled and rolled your eyes playfully.
“No—I me-mean yeah…” You giggled “But…Before that?”
Hobie shrugged.
“Why you ask?”
“I don’t know…” You sighed looking at him curiously, attentively. “Something about you feels oddly familiar…”
“Perhaps,” He shrugged “who knows, there’s only one way to find out…” He winked.
You smirked.
“Later today? At the Hayfield?” You said, naming your favourite bar, agreeing to his invitation.
“Someone likes artisan beer,” Hobie pointed out with an approving nod.
“Isn’t that the best kind of beer?” This time, you shrugged nonchalantly “Besides, Hayfield supports all the local beer producers and amateurs too”
“Nice. See you then,” Hobie said. “9 works for you?”
“9 it is” You smirked, feeling your chest stirring slightly.
“Nice meeting ya” He said turning around, with a triumphant smirk.
“Nice meeting you too…”

Hi, thank you for taking the time to answer these!
It seems like all successful authors have to be on social media these days. I want to publish my book under a pen name so nobody knows it’s me. How do I succeed at author social media while also being anonymous?
Maintaining Author Anonymity on Social Media
It really depends on what you want to write and how you want to publish. Either way, a pen name isn't a 100% guarantee of anonymity, so that's something to consider before publishing. Whether you self-publish or traditionally publish, you're still conducting business, which requires the involvement of your real name on paper. Some of those documents will be available to the public, so it isn't usually difficult to figure out the real identity behind a pen name.
If you want to traditionally publish, you should keep in mind that the publisher is making a big financial investment in your book, so they want it to sell well so they can make back their investment and make a profit. Part of that may be asking you to do things like book signings, guest appearances, or having visibility on social media. Some publishers won't work with authors who want to be completely invisible, especially if they feel your book would benefit from that kind of visibility in marketing. So, if you pursue traditional publishing, it's something you would want to talk about with your agent once you land one so they can keep that in mind when they look for publishers.
If you want to self-publish, you don't have to worry as much about being visible. There are many who feel that authors do better when they are visible to their readers, but it's certainly not a requirement. You can still have a solid, meaningful social media presence without posting videos or photos of your face, or without giving away intimate details about who you are. You can find a balance with sharing photos and details that feel personal without revealing anything that blows your cover.
Anonymous but "Intimate" Photo Examples:
All of these images give the reader a glimpse into your world and who you are without giving them a full window into your personal life.
If you caption the coloring photo as, "Coloring with the little ones today..." All the reader knows is there are kids in your life, but are they kids, grandkids, neighbors, students, friends' kids? Who knows?
Anonymous but "Intimate" Detail Example:
-- Spent today out shopping with the family. We had lunch at one of our favorite eateries, then went to see a movie. Afterward, we took a walk along the water and came home to play board games. Great day!
With or without an accompanying "semi-anonymous" photo, the above paragraph gives the reader a glimpse into your day without giving too much away. Spent the day with family... your immediate family? Extended family? Found family? No specification of which eatery, which movie, what body of water, or which board games, but it still paints a picture.
Engagement Matters, Too
And remember, for indie authors especially, engagement with your audience is important. Replying to comments, participating in tag games, "signal boosting"/sharing/reblogging posts, posting polls/QOtD/challenges, etc. are all ways you can engage without having to be visible.
I hope that helps!

do you have any mech pilot oc's
Yes! I actually have an entire Mech pilot setting that I’ve been wanting to write about for a while. And since I can’t think of a better opportunity to talk about it I’ll do that here. Warning for lots of text and infodumping below, also all of this was originally an idea for a novel so if this sounds a bit like reading the back of a book or like the setup to something that’s why
The story takes place in an huge city in America, where the entrepreneur who invented* zero gravity technology got so wealthy off of it that he decided to build an enormous tower that now has 7 ringed districts floating around it, with each one getting more wealthy and fancy the higher up the rings go. Besides its bizarre structure, the city’s other claims to fame are being the birthplace of Mechs that use zero g technology to function efficiently and being the place where Mech combat as a sport, which is played in large zero g arenas, is played. Mech combat is primarily a sport in this setting, although combat Mechs do exist that are used by the oppressive US police forces and militaries (it’s a bit of a dystopian setting) but the focus is primarily on the sport part in the story I want to write. There are also Mechs used for construction and other practical uses.
The main character of said story, Wormgear, is a mech mechanic who lives in “the underworld” which is the poor city that is beneath the floating ring districts. Wormgear grew up in her moms’ mechanic shop learning directly from her mothers how to be a mechanic for servicing primarily construction mechs and other vehicles. When one of her moms caught a lucky break and got an offer to move to another city to work for a big construction vehicle company, their moms moved away, while they stayed behind and took over the shop. Living alone and working in a poor part of the city, they struggled to make ends meet servicing just construction Mechs and transport vehicles, but once she found her way into being a mechanic for Mechs used in underground illegal combat sport that is even more dangerous than the official leagues played up on the rings, she finally found her true calling. She built her own Mech and became a successful underground prize fighter while also advertising her business to everyone in the scene. Things are going well enough for her, until a masked stranger in a machine far fancier than most underground fighting Mechs shows up and starts dominating the scene. After one particularly grueling match, when Wormgear gets back to her shop, she’s surprised to find the masked stranger in here garage.
Penelope Darlington, is the daughter of a wealthy businessman who had early on invested heavily into the zero-g corporation that now owns the entire city and the technology used in half the machines in the country. Being passionate about the gravmech sport, her father invested all the best training and equipment in the world for his son to be one of best pilots in history, and when said beloved son changed her gender and began going by the pilot moniker “Darling” it was such a good idea for her personal brand that he never even thought of opposing her. Now a national celebrity and a rising star predicted to earn titles and break records in the sport, Penelope should have had everything she ever wanted. But when the off-season comes and she can’t get that exhilarating thrill of piloting, the boredom drives her to do something stupid and illegal. Anonymously commissioning the creation of a new Mech, she enters the gravmech underworld with a mask and a pseudonym. She had never anticipated that anything would go wrong with her plan, and after weeks of wiping the floor with her competition without a scratch on her paint she got too comfortable, and some punk in a hunk of scrap landed a blow that disabled some of her engines. She didn’t lose, but she now needed to find a mechanic that could be discreet. Following the advice of someone in the scene, she found herself in a Mech garage of the very punk who damaged her precious machine in the first place, and what’s worse is the lifts to the higher levels are shut down this late at night!
Gonna stop my early plot synopsis there I think. If you couldn’t guess from everything I wrote here, these are my lesbian mecha pilot ocs who I love very much and hope to be able to actually write the story for some day when I can actually finish or even just continue working on a writing project for once.

author's note: @nexility-sims and I have been discussing this museum exhibit for nearly a year and working on the lot for weeks...so good to finally see it realized!
Transcript under the cut!
Crown Museum of Uspana // Armorican State Visit - Day 2
THEO | [offscreen] Your Highess.
FREDDY | [in a tone of slight horror] ...is this a joke? You’re the one the Royal Foundation picked for this tour?
THEO | The one your sister picked, actually. She insisted.
FREDDY | [sighs] Let's get this over with, then. This is called a "painting."
THEO | Wait. Before we start, can I apologize?
THEO | I know this is awkward, but...I'd rather not have it hanging over our heads. I'm really sorry about how I ended things. I was a coward, and you deserved better than getting dumped via text.
FREDDY | Geez, Theo…that was a long time ago. Ancient history.
THEO | I know. But still...
FREDDY | [pause] I appreciate it, Theo.
THEO | Well, should we get started, then? Lots to see, lots to do...
FREDDY | Sure. You’ve seen this portrait, right?
THEO | I think every Armorican has. It’s the first official portrait your family’s released in a decade. It was huge news.
FREDDY | Well, did you know that Everard II bought those pearls in 1896 for Queen Augusta? My mom hasn't worn them since my father's coronation.
THEO | Really? If I owned pearls like that, I'd wear 'em every day.
FREDDY | Yeah, that's not really Her Majesty's style.
THEO | The whole thing painting isn't her style! I'd expect to see her outside, dressed more casually...did Roz commission this or something?
FREDDY | Nah, Mom had full control. Just wanted to be queenly, I guess...
THEO | Fair. It's a good likeness, at any rate...
FREDDY | So…what's new with you.
THEO | Uh. Not much. Been busy, I guess?
FREDDY | [laughs] Theo Adams? Busy? Say it ain't so!
FREDDY | For real, though...how have you been?
THEO | [sighs] I dunno. I might break up with my boyfriend.
FREDDY | In person, I hope.
THEO | [laughs] Oh, you asshole—
FREDDY | Sorry, I couldn't resist.
THEO | Don't be, I walked right into that one.
THEO | Anyway, I'd ask about your life, but I already know all about it.
FREDDY | Oh? [smugly] Didn't you once say that you didn't read about me at all?
THEO | Oh, you wish! No, Josie tells me everything I need to know.
FREDDY | Josie? Oh no...she only says good things, I hope.
THEO | Ask me no questions and I'll tell you no lies.
THEO | ...she says you're going to propose any day now.
FREDDY | Wait, wait, wait...Josie's sating that I'm about to propose? Wet hell, is that where that stupid rumor's coming from?
THEO | So it is just a rumor?
FREDDY | Yes. I care about Em, but...we're just not there yet.
THEO | It's good to know where you stand. You don't want to rush into anything.
FREDDY | Thank you, that’s what I've been saying! You should tell her that.
THEO | [laughs] Uh, no. Talk to her yourself, champ. I've got too much going on in my relationship to even think about getting involved with yours.
FREDDY | Yeah, yeah, I'm just kidding...but d'you wanna know something?
THEO | What?
FREDDY | I missed you. As a friend.
THEO | Yeah...we were good friends, weren’t we?
FREDDY | Better friends than lovers, at any rate.
THEO | Maybe we could try again? Y'know, since we'll be working together.
FREDDY | I'd like that.
THEO | Me too...and I missed you, too. As a friend.
FREDDY | 🙂
THEO | 🙂
THEO | We're supposed to be talking about art, right? Tell me about this one.
FREDDY | This? It's called a "statue."
THEO | [laughs] You're lucky you're cute, you know that?

WIP: The Portrait
This is the most self indulgent thing I'm writing, but I'm putting this opener out to see if it works at all... feedback welcome.
Lord Gortash requests a portrait of his paramour. The pay is good, the contract legitimate. It seems almost too good to be true...
The request came to the guild house with gold already attached. Wanted, portrait artist. Female subject, three sittings. Half pay upfront. He did not recognise the seal, but Darcus told him it was from the newly minted Lord Gortash, also known as Enver Flymm, also known in certain parts of the back cities as Flymm the Bloody, where they still dared to say such things. The purse held more gold than Guy had ever seen, and Litton laughed at his face when he opened it.
“Oh, dear boy!” he chided, drawing the string again and placing it in the middle of the table. “You are too swayed by money. What of passion? What of love of the craft?”
It was easy, thought Guy, to care only of craft, of passion or love or whatever else you might want when you were the third son of a Patriar, and mummy dearest paid for your garret upfront for the year so you could slum it a little, just for fun. When you had a real life, a real wife, a real child, love started to mean something very different.
“Give it here,” he said. “I’ll take it. If it’s Kerrie Lovelace again, I still have the sketches from the Ravengard commission.”
Lovelace was popular with the Patriars. A half-elf with the wettest eyes he’d ever seen and a permanently quivering, full lip. She was the lover or some, and the favoured subject of far more since Litton had painted her as a beautiful mermaid to mark The Breaking a few years before. The last piece Guy had painted of her had been a garish facsimile of the original with only surface changes, but it had paid fairly. Money seemed to disappear these days. Between clothing and food for little Eva, new dresses for Sal and keeping up with all of these idiots, he was running dry again.
“I’d be careful if I were you,” said Darcus, his tankard resting against his belly. The moon was barely up and he was already deep in his cups. “These new Lords, they ain’t to be trusted. No honour between them.”
“And I’d take it,” said Litton. “Not personally, of course. But you should take it now before Fevras gets wind. At least you might make something worth hanging.”
And so he finds himself being ushered into full halls of the home of Lord Gortash, a surprisingly unassuming and tasteful villa in the new style, all white stone and iron-wrought glass, every wall crammed to the ceiling with art and curios. There are paintings here from the old masters that must have cost a fortune, plenty of Litton’s best (including The Mermaid, he notes, last in the possession of the Jannath’s), and odd pieces of fine mechanica and automata the likes of which the Halls of Wonder would envy. He almost wishes to stop, take it in, but his patron’s pace is unrelenting as he strides through to the very end of the house. It does not seem wise to keep him waiting.
“I hope it is sufficient light,” says Gortash, opening the door himself to a handsome chamber with full glass windows, a handsome solid desk and a nicely appointed parlour. “You are seeing into the most intimate parts of my estate. I will be present tending to some business while you work, if that is alright with you. I do so like to see a master at their craft.”
“Thank you, my Lord,” Guy says as he hands his cloak to a dwarf standing in the centre of the room, who does not move to bow as she takes it. The woman looks at him with some curiosity, and looks over to her Lord with a sharp smile.
“Ah,” starts Gortash, taking the cloak from her and holding it out. An elf in fine brocade sweeps in to take it, and the woman watches with still amusement as they depart. “This, Saer Ceasebourne, is your subject.”
He feels his stomach churn as he looks at her again. She cocks her head in curiosity as she stares back at him. She does not look angry, but now he looks again she does not look amused. No, the look in her eye is something else entirely, and it makes him feel rather sick.
“My apologies, my Lord, I didn’t-”
“Oh dear fellow, do not fret. Though I keep my servants in better finery than this one wears, for future reference.”
“You forget yourself, Lord Gortash.”
The woman’s voice is dark, deep as the Chionthar, and dripping in threat as her eyes flick from him to Gortash. He takes the momentary reprieve from her gaze to cast an eye over her properly. It is hard to see her body under her plain dark red robes, but he can tell from what flesh is exposed at her neck and down her forearms that she is likely to be freckled all over her pale skin. Copper hair is heaped atop her head in a neat bun, her face marked with long lines of a tattoo that traces her strong jaw and pulls into her eyes.
Her eyes. They are quite extraordinary. At a first glance brown, but as the light pulls into them they shine an almost pinkish hue. Like unblooded meat.
Gortash smiles at her, bowing his head ever so slightly. "I apologise for the perceived slight. You are my guest here today. And I hope we will both show proper decorum, for the occasion."

Hi! I really like your art and blog, and I noticed that you apparently have been running commission on-and-off for at least a little while, and I was wondering if you had any tips on running art commissions? Any good guidelines, how to get more visibility, etc.
I know it's not really a reliable thing, but I'm in a bad situation health-wise and could really use the money, so any advice you might be willing to share about how to do it better would be much appreciated.
Sure thing!
Well for one you have to figure that most people don't have money to spend on commissions; I certainly don't and commissions are more of a luxury thing to buy considering they're relatively expensive and take a long time, so don't be too discouraged if you don't see much business. I get less commissions around the holidays considering people are buying more important things around that time. I have consistent severe health problems too, and that's the main reason I struggle for money lmao, so I understand.
I've been doing commissions I think for two-three years now? and Im still not sure how is the best way to go about it LMAO my bad. I'd just say
-When you post an artwork, just simply put 'commissions open' at the bottom of the caption, so people are aware you do commissions
-I keep a commission post regularly circulated on my blog and personal side blog. not reblogged day or something so I don't annoy my mutuals (or worse, make them feel bad for not being able to support; I've had to unfollow someone because I felt bad not being able to help after they rbed their commissions page 24/7 and I felt bad fjjsjf selfish I know, but. y'know.)
-I mention it in my bio for instagram, discord, twitter, anything I use.
-When you finish a commission, ask if they're ok with you posting it.
-Start at the lowest possible price, and as interest grows, and your skill grows, raise the price just a bit every so often (I used to charge $20 for commissions, but since my process is now taking me 3-6 hours or more to complete a commission, I raised it to at *least* $40-$90
-Always be friendly and considerate (Im sure you are but. genuinely it goes a long long way)
-Give regular updates (I'm bad about this one because I start multiple projects and work on like. 7 things at a time. God bless people who are so so patient with me). Ask if they're happy with the process every step of the way, and make changes where needed (within reason).
-Always keep them in the loop of you have a major life thing going on that might slow down progress, or admit when there's been a goof on your end. I personally appreciate it when someone keeps me updated, so I try to update others as well >_<
-Just be honest, friendly, and people will know you're reliable. Keep it chill and not desperate, and you'll see business
-I recommend a page on Trello to keep your info organized! I use that for commission rules/guidelines
-Only advertise work you enjoy making. You do not want to get stuck painting if you hate painting! Nothing is worse than being on a time crunch and not even enjoying the process you have to finish
That's about all I have honestly, I just post commission work constantly as my weekly posting and it's been 1. good for growing my skill in the past year because I have to draw 2. people know me for character commissions at a certain point because I post them a lot. I hope any of this was helpful!!

4a. Abstract - The Last Tea Shop
Shop name: The Vagrant Tea Leaf
Supplies: sea salt, ginkgo leaf, giant puffball, cloud dew
Days: 16
Visitor: an artist
It was the first day of sunshine in a while. I nearly abandoned my post to step outside the shop and bask in the warm light when a visitor walked in.
She looked at peace, as if she wasn't troubled by what she was leaving behind; perhaps the weather was just too nice to feel sad.
We exchanged a smile as she took a seat. She then gazed happily at her surroundings, studying every little detail.
It was a good day to try out my new Tea of Mirth, so I grabbed some cloud dew from a jar and began brewing it.
"I've never met a visitor as accepting of their fate as you," I remarked. "There must be something you left unfinished though, right?"
"Ah, indeed. I'm an artist, so it was practically impossible to depart the mortal world without any unfinished business. You see, I used to make decorative chess sets - quite niche, isn't it? But a surprising amount of people seemed to love them. They'd visit my shop to commission the most disparate themes or purchase one of my already made sets. Each piece was hand-painted in intricate detail; it took me a considerable amount of time to complete a full set, but the work felt fulfilling and I loved immersing myself in it.
However, after some time, I found myself growing restless. Day after day, I worked tirelessly, but I was either fulfilling commissions or replicating popular pieces from the past. My hands moved almost mechanically while working, and my mind wandered.
I needed a new challenge.
That challenge presented itself when an architect reached out about her ambitious project: a chess-themed neighbourhood, with two rows of buildings placed at opposite ends of a park, each building designed to resemble a chess piece. She wanted me to collaborate on planning the art for the buildings.
I accepted immediately and, for a while, I was content and fully immersed in my work once again.
I'm confident it would have turned out pretty great in the end; however, on a stormy day, while I was working onsite, lightning struck me. It was unfortunate, but when the project is complete that accident will probably make for an intriguing story, and attract more tourists."
I handed her a cup of my Tea of Mirth, steaming hot.
"What an incredible job you had," I commented, smiling warmly. "Did you ever come to any sudden realizations during your years as an artist?"
She took a sip of the tea and chuckled. "Actually, yeah. I mentioned my pieces were intricately decorated, but I didn't specify my style was pretty abstract. Sometimes clients would admire my chess sets, but with a hint of puzzlement on their faces, as if they couldn't quite grasp the meaning behind them.
I found it funny, especially when they couldn't work up the courage to ask any questions - they'd just buy my pieces, pretending to understand them. I could have felt offended by their behaviour, or doubted my abilities, but that's just not my personality.
My favourite episode was when a customer walked in with their kid and bought a botanical themed set from me. I was talking about flowers that inspired me when the kid, with a skeptical look on his face, interrupted me and said, "Do you even know what flowers look like, miss?"
And, ouch, that stung a bit. A few days later I went on a hike; looking at the nature around me I thought, "Wow, that kid was right." My art was definitely abstract, but that's just the way my brain and my hands interpret the world. I've always been happy with my style, and other people seemed to appreciate it too, even when they didn't fully understand it. My art brought joy to a few people, and to myself - that's all I can ask for."
She was a slow tea drinker, and we kept talking about her memories and giggling for a good hour or so, but in the end, it was time to go.
Before saying goodbye, she stared intently at the portrait of the minstrel, my previous visitor, and said, "Hey, I had a portrait like this one in my home! I got it for pretty cheap at the charity shop."
I walked her to the door. She waved at me, still smiling, as the sunbeams took her.

Familiar Waters
Aether:Hey Nilou, are you busy today?
Nilou:Actually your timing couldn’t have been better. No performances today so the stage can have maintenance. Is something wrong?
Aether:No. there’s just this place I really want to show you. I think besides a handful other people I know, you’re someone who really deserves to see this.
Nilou:Wow. When you put it like that, how can I say no? Not that I was planning to. *grabs his hand* Lead the way.
Aether:You’re going to be holding my hand for long time. It’s kinda far.
Nilou:*smiles* Even better.
xxxxx
Boy, Aether wasn’t kidding about distance. Nilou wasn’t expecting him to take her into the desert. Not that it was a problem. She’s made the trip countless times and knew how to take care of herself. If there was any place to be a hydro user, then the desert had to be the best one. Warding off the heat for the both them was easy.
She didn’t need to do it long before they went inside ruins a couple times then out from new ways. Each time she wondered if they had arrived, yet Aether didn’t seem too interested in the beauties of the old paintings and landscapes.
Nilou:Been here before?
Aether:Yeah. There were a lot more robots. Also traps.
Nilou:You really do live a colorful life. Don’t work too hard. Is the place we’re going also dangerous?
Aether:It’s actually one of the most peaceful places I’ve ever seen.
They make it to what should be the heart of the desert. Whirling sandstorms and its wind keeps Nilou’s attention from noticing the platform under their feet is moving down. It eventually stopped and they continued through a cave.
Nilou:Huh? Oh! Y’know I’m fairly familiar with lots of local legends, stories, and Sumeru’s general history. Even so, I don’t think I realized how much technology was in the desert.
Aether:I don’t even think half the scholars really know. I wouldn’t know anything if it weren’t for the people I meet on commissions. It’s a little scary honestly.
Nilou:The people of the commissions?
Aether:Both? Most of the time they’re looking for one thing and we end discovering lots of things. Most of them are very…daunting.
Nilou:If that’s the case, are you sure spending your downtime like this is good? You could be resting.
Aether:I’m alright. You were okay spending your day off to humor me. Now I think I kept you waiting long enough.
He let go of her hand and took off running. It caught Nilou off guard but she quickly ran after him, only a few steps behind.
After one more turn they were out of the cave. Instantly, Nilou stopped moving. The dancer’s eyes became unblinking as they stared out towards an endless sunset. Lush grass covered the area and surrounded a still, unmoving body of water. Nilou couldn’t make heads or tails of it. It was as if she had entered a living photo. The entire world was still, yet so brimming with life. What stilled her heart further was the sight of a certain purple flower on a small island right in the middle.
Nilou:What is this place?
Aether: The Orchard of Pairidaeza. Had to help a friend get here to fulfill a promise. *sits down* Still takes my breath away. This place is a memorial for-
He didn’t have to finish. Or rather, he was silenced by the sight of Nilou’s tears. The girl was caught off guard by her own reaction, awkwardly laughing as she tried to wipe her face, but Nilou couldn’t get herself to stop crying for some reason. Never has heart felt so elated yet mournful. The beauty of this place was overwhelming and so very personal in a way she couldn’t describe.
Aether watched quietly. He had a feeling this might happen to the gentle soul. Even Nahida had found herself weeping the first time he brought her here.
Nilou:I’m…I’m sorry. I- I can’t crying for some reason?
Aether:Take your time. Feel whatever you feel.
xxxxx
Nilou:*sniffling* I’m sorry I cried for long…
Aether:I’m telling you it’s okay. Honestly it would be strange not to cry here.
Nilou:Are you sure it’s okay for someone like me to know about this place? I mean this is a big deal.
Aether:*pats head* Nilou, I think out of everyone I’ve met should know this place. I’m sure Nahida and the Goddess of Flowers would think the same. If you ever need a place to get away from it all, I know you’ll do right if you come here.
Nilou nodded softly, trying to compose herself. She walked further into the beautiful area that was right out of a dream. It didn’t take long before she realized it was possible to walk on the water. She looked back at Aether, who spurred her on to keep going. Nilou followed her heart and went all the way to the tiny island where three seats made of wood and covered in genuine Padisarah. Nilou didn’t dare to sit on any throne or pick any plant. Instead she stood before them ready to perform. Somehow, deep down, dancing didn’t only feel right, but important. Not to Goddess she idolized so much, but to the two thrones on each side. Nilou couldn’t say for certain who they were meant for, but she wanted to pay tribute to them all the same.
Aether watched in silence for afar, witnessing a once in a lifetime performance. He would be sure to tell Nahida about it, if she didn’t know already somehow. Perhaps her and Nilou would visit together one day? As for the third seat, maybe he could convince their successor if he ever gets the chance.
xxxxx
Time really escaped the both of them. What was a bright morning was a cool night as they walked the path to Sumeru City in relative silence. Aether could tell Nilou was still basking in the experience. If that wasn’t enough to tell notice her joy, then the giveaway was their hands. He had tried to grab it like he always does, but Nilou surprised him when she she interlocked their fingers, swinging the joined hands slightly. It was sweet, but also really embarrassing for him.
Nilou:Three
Aether:Hmm?
Nilou:This is the third time you’ve done something that’s allowed me to give a performance completely out of this world.
Aether:I remember the dream loop, but what was the second?
Nilou:The jail break for Lesser Lord Kusanali.
Aether:…I guess that was pretty out of this world. Man, maybe I do need a break? That almost felt normal.
Nilou:Well…I’m also free tomorrow. Do you have anything in the morning to do?
Aether:Not necessarily. Tomorrow should be pretty light.
Nilou:In that case, push your errands until noon. *red* Let’s hangout all night.
Aether:*red*….I didn’t show you that place in hopes of-
Nilou:I know, silly. I just…think it would be a really good idea. Why stop good things that are happening?
Aether:Teapot it is.
Nilou:It’s okay. I live alone.
Aether:True, but I don’t want to upset any neighbors. Plus you have a public image. I’d hate to cause trouble for you.
Nilou:*deeply moved* Aether?
Aether:Hmm?
Nilou:*kisses cheek* No work tomorrow.
Aether:…..
Aether:Okay.

-artfight!! i haven’t attacked at all yet but i’m going to make a serious effort to do that in this last half a month i got! I’ve picked out a few people from Around to attack!!!
I’ve been in the process of moving for a while now, it’s hard to work in the middle of it. but there’s a ton of stuff i’m excited to share, even if i’m pretty sloppy about getting it done. now for most important updates...
-razor rabbit... i’m really astounded by how nice people have been. just thinking about it makes me want to cry. The chapter posted recently is going to be the third chapter overall. the first one is scripted and partially drawn out but i keep struggling with it, so i’ve been focusing on my ten dozen other projects. I started setting up the website for it but i burned out on that, which is a bummer? ITS A BUMMER!! I’ve been taking the time off from it to write future chapters.
-Chimera Claws. It’s my baby, it will be done one day, but i don’t know when that will be. Chimera Claws was always intended to be professionally published so personally, I’d like to get further into Razor Rabbit before going back to it and throwing it at all the publishers i can.
thank you everyone!!!!! WEEEHAWWWW

Just William
Chapter 2
Warnings: Angst, Mentions of Child Murder, Grief, Incarcerated Parent
Word Count: 1,444
Disclaimer: This story does not follow Scott Cawthon's FNAF games or books. However many of the characters and events are the same or have been adapted. These characters do not belong to me, but the rearrangement of events and character adaptations are my own works.
I hid in my room for the next couple of hours, hoping to stay unnoticed by my family...and William. Sitting on my fuzzy purple beanbag at my wooden desk, I tried to bury myself in a piece of artwork I was finishing. Drawing and painting had become my way of "coping" and it turns out, I'm not too bad at it. I'd even started doing commissions, starting with illustrating children's books and more recently doing posters and murals for businesses.
Despite my numerous complaints, when I turned sixteen, mom told me it was time to get a job. So I interviewed and started my brand new job waitressing at Applebee's. I lasted two months before my manager got sick of my "hopeless negativism". Whatever that means. I didn't really care though, I hated being around all those people who despise me and I told mom so. If I'm being honest, I was too hard on mom last year. She deserves better than me. Tired of fighting with me, frustrated at Michael's poor grades at the time, and exhausted from working three jobs, she gave up. Told me to stay home and be lazy if that's what I wanted. I felt good about winning that battle for about twenty-four hours, that's when the guilt really set in. After apologizing to my mother and with the help of a friend, I began to submit my artwork to publishing companies and after just two weeks, got hired to illustrate a children's book called Bigfoot Loves Pizza. Goofy, I know, but it was a moneymaker and it made mom happy. I was also offered a job as part time waitress and full time graphic designer at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza 2.0. This was shocking to my entire family since the restaurant was owned by...Charlie's dad. And Charlie's dad shouldn't want anything to do with me.
My sweet solitude, sadly, didn't last long enough. A soft knock echoed from my door and I saw Michael slowly peek around it.
"Hi, Lizzie," He walked into my room, dragging his feet. "Mom says it's time for supper."
I inwardly groaned. Mom had been planning 'our first family dinner in nine years' all week. She even dragged me into mashing the potatoes for one of William's old favorites. Cottage Pie. I personally don't like the stuff, less because William likes it and more because I'm not a fan of ground meat. It looks too much like cat food for my taste.
"Tell her I'm busy." I went back to my drawing. It was a large, purple robotic rabbit with a red bow tie and electric guitar. Bonnie the bunny was an animatronic that William made for his first restaurant, Fredbear's Family Diner before I was born. Except now he was one of the main mascots for the restaurant I worked for and I was drawing Bonnie with large, red, star-shaped sunglasses, playing the electric guitar, and surfing a gnarly wave on a red and purple surfboard. Behind Bonnie were the emboldened words
Catch the Last Wave of Summer Fun at Freddy's!
"That's cool." Michael stared over my shoulder. "Is Bonnie your favorite?"
"Yeah, I like Bonnie okay." Bonnie had been Charlie's favorite. I focused on some dark shadowing under Bonnie's sunglasses. Suddenly, I heard a crash behind me and nearly jumped out of my seat. Whipping around, I saw Michael trying to pick up my violin case and music stand he had knocked over.
"Okay, buddy," I helped him put everything back into place. "Maybe we should go down to dinner."
Michael grinned and dashed out of my room, sprinting down the stairs in front of me. As I followed him my thoughts stayed with my violin. Music had become my other way of dealing with my emotions. Music was something I could get lost in, let every single drop of hate, anger, and shame pour out into a song before they can stream down my face. Art is more about control. It's the precise bits of emotion that are patiently and deliberately depicted on a page.
My mother sat at her usual spot on the left side of our large, oaken kitchen table, beaming over the steaming casserole dish in the center. At the head of the table, sporting a barely noticeable smile, only detectable by the slight dimples forming in his cheeks, was William. Michael had taken his spot next to mother and I wanted to kick myself when I realized my normal seat was right beside William. I slunk over and sat down, making sure to scoot my chair a good twelve more inches away from him. I pretended not to hear the sigh I got from my mother and ignored the conversation between her and William about how she hoped he would like dinner, and how he was sure he would and oh how delicious it looked. Michael mentioned how I helped make it and I gave myself a headache trying not to roll my eyes.
Throughout the rest of dinner I tried to soothe my headache by drinking several large glasses of iced tea and water, and basically ignored everything that came out of William's mouth. He acted nice...too nice. He asked mom about how the house was holding up, if there was anything he could fix, how Michael liked school, how his summer break was going, and what he'd been up to lately. I had just finished my food and was looking for a chance to escape, when William turned to me.
"How was your school year, Elizabeth?"
My gaze cut sharply to him, startled. His eyes were shifting, flowing in waves of blue softness and aquamarine steel.
I shrugged, "I don't go to school."
"Why doesn't she go to school?" William's face bore a hilarious appalled look.
"Elizabeth is homeschooled," My mother cut in, "and she does mostly college classes online."
"Because I don't want to spend my time around imbeciles." I mumble, earning a glare from my mother.
"We just didn't see it as the best option at the moment." Mom gave me a 'don't you dare say another word look'.
"But Michael goes to school?" William was obviously confused.
My mother was fumbling for words. "Michael does better...socially than Elizabeth. It's just easier for him to...be around so many people."
"You got that right." I mumbled again.
"Elizabeth Annette," My mother's face threatened corporal punishment if I opened my mouth one more time.
I bit the inside of my cheek, lifted my chin in defiance, and dared to speak anyway. "Well it's not like it's my fault I can't go to school. In fact maybe I should go to school like Michael!"
My voice was mockingly cheery and I hoped William caught every hint of sarcasm.
"I'm sure being the daughter of a child murderer will make me immensely popular in school. Who knows maybe I'll even be the homecoming queen and for my speech I can tell the story of how my father stabbed my best friend in her sleep! Wouldn't that be lovely!"
My voice tipped into a British accent when I said lovely and I knew my degradation of William had gone too far. My mother's face was a mixture of shock and rage, her fingers gripped hard onto the table, turning whiter than I thought possible. Michael cowered beside her looking as if he was about to cry, and William...WAS SMILING AT ME?!? His pearly white teeth flashed at me, although the grin did not meet his eyes and I could see the indention where his teeth were pulling at the inside of his cheek.
"Yes, I can see why you wouldn't want to go to school, Elizabeth." He stood slowly, purposefully, but i caught the slight quiver in his hands. "Now if you'll all excuse me I believe I need to go out for a quick fag."
Mother stood and retrieved the cigarettes and lighter I didn't know William had from the kitchen counter. He had never smoked when I was a child.
"Thank you dear. Dinner was lovely..err...delicious." He walked out the front door without another word and through the window I saw a small flame glowing.
I almost sighed in relief until I saw my mother glaring at me.
"Young lady," If looks could kill I'm sure she would've burned a hole through my head. "We need to have a talk."
With a strength I didn't know she had, being several inches shorter and leaner than I, my mother held my wrist with a pressure that I was sure would leave indentations on my very bones, and towed me to her room. I was in trouble now.

Hey!! I'd like to request a matchup :> I don't mind any female or male characters! I guess one way to describe my personality is that cliche weird band kid? im pretty quiet and dont talk much- i talk more often near friends but I prefer using actions more then words since talking is exhausting. I still like doing crazy shit!! uhh my hobbies are drawing, writing, and dancing. I like horror, crystals, cats, and old cartoons, I hate weird bugs and rrly quiet rooms. Hope I did this right!!
Yoimiya, 。・:*:・゚☆
You and Yoimiya become partners in crime.
Being a close relative to the current head of the Chisato clan, you were a frequent visitor to the Tenryou Commission, as you were required to attend some of the critical civil affairs meetings. Despite your busy schedule, you still found time to pursue one of your favourite activities--Shopping. It was mid-day when you entered the Yae Publishing House, hoping to peruse their newest publications. You had been browsing the shelves when you heard a familiar voice calling out to you. Instantly, you catch sight of a certain strawberry-haired blonde who returns your grin with a broad smile of her own as she walks over.
You had met the Queen of Inazuma's Summer Festivals a few years ago after she had accidentally run into you one evening, looking quite frazzled while trying to set up for the fireworks show for the evening. Deciding to offer help, you eagerly put yourself to work by setting up booths and handing out fliers and sparklers. By the end, you sat beside the Pyrotechnician as you two watched multiple colourful explosions decorate the evening sky. By the end, you and Yoimiya become fast friends, chatting late into the evening.
Everyone, including your family, admires the current proprietress of Naganohara Fireworks, who is always welcome into your home. If the two of you weren't busy with your respective work, you would be found attempting to fish at one of the lakes on Watatsumi Island or treasure hunting at Jinren Island; the Pyrotechnician is always ready to come along for any adventure! It becomes a joke among your friends that you two are joined at the hip.
Frankly, the young bow-user must have been hanging around you too much that she had started adapting some of your quirky terminology--The poor girl had been so embarrassed to explain what she meant about 'stanning' the Lady of the Kamisato clan to the said person's older brother who can't help but overhear upon passing the two of you on the busy streets; Ayato has also taken using the term only as an inside joke between you three.
Yoimiya knew you to be a timid individual who sometimes has difficulty communicating with others outside your social circle. You can only imagine her immense surprise to find you performing with a few others during one summer festival; She cannot help but stare in amazement when you play an instrument, clearly too mesmerized at the sounds you can produce. Once the show had ended, onlookers could not help but think how adorable the strawberry-haired blonde bombarded you with compliments after the performance.
Yoimiya is patient and understanding and knows what makes you tick. Do you nervously bite your nails? She paints your nails with sparkling designs to keep you from biting them. Are you experiencing some performance anxiety? You are greeted by Yoimiya alongside Itto and his gang members in your living room, ready to be your audience. Are you scared of spiders? Well, She'll try to catch it instead of trying to exterminate it by using her Pyro vision--Last time she did that, she almost set fire to a portion of Chinju Forest.
Despite everything, the lively girl acknowledges your real character: A creative and sympathetic individual who places value on kind actions--She's seen how you offer help to the elderly neighbours with some of their work, or treating a weary-looking traveller and their floating companion to lunch at Komore Teahouse, and even giving away whatever snack you had to the children in the pretense that you were full when reality you hadn't even eaten anything all day.
Recently Yoimiya has been experiencing…something odd. Even after being friends for a long time, she becomes self-conscious whenever you are around. It was uncharacteristic of her, but she would find herself stuttering whenever you held her gaze a moment longer or if she accidentally stood a little too close to you. Even when you were away, heat would flood her cheeks whenever her mind wanders toward the memory of you two.
One day, These feelings only seem to surge when she catches a glimpse of a page within the confines of the small notepad you tended to carry around. Usually, She isn't one to pry into another's business. Still, she couldn't help herself when the ledger was lying in the open. The craftswoman catches a detailed sketch of her, what appears to be her smiling brightly in your direction while holding unto an unwrapped sweet. Citrine-coloured eyes also catch sight of a short but alluring haiku, highlighting her quirky charms and kind heart. With reddening cheeks, the Pyro-user quickly averts her eyes when she hears your footsteps and feigns innocence when you ask about her red face.
But seriously, does this mean that…you like her just as how she fancies you!? I guess there's one way to find out~!

I love your Paige doll so much and I was so shocked to see that she was made just recently. Top tier blorbo wife to the point that I looked to see if you sold your dolls. I saw way back you said you would want to hone your skills if you took doll coms, so how are you feeling on that? Do you have doll making resources n tips? I'm sorry if this is a lot I just got real excited she looks so good
Omg ur totally fine!!! I love answering questions about my dolls ^w^ I'm so happy you love Paige so much! She has definitely been one of my more time consuming bigger projects! I love her a whole lot too!
So about commissions: I have no idea what the pricing would be tbh. I feel like my dolls aren't really up to the most professional quality; their clothes aren't removable and the paint chips a lot 😅 I would definitely have to factor that in when pricing.
I've recently been diagnosed with bilateral carpal tunnel, making every and all forms of art I do pretty painful for me, but I persist because the passion is VERY strong in my autism brain. But this is the main factor stopping me from taking commissions. I feel like because of this, I would want to price my dolls like $300 minimum to make it feel worth it, which I feel like is a little pricey and unfair because of the shoddy quality of my work. These dolls definitely do take me a really long time due to working through the pain, and there's a lot of steps to every part!
I would definitely not be opposed to taking a commission though! I feel like my portfolio is big enough, I'm just like, not a business person at all hahaha. Maybe I'll open a slot soon? I wonder how much people would pay for my dolls? Hmm
As for tips and tricks for dolls, I would recommend taking lots of shortcuts! The clothes are sewn onto their bodies, painted on details, gluing on details, whatever you can really get away with. With my dolls specifically, there's always a certain way I want them to look, causing me to cut the face off completely and just sculpt my own lol. I highly recommend getting some apoxie sculpt for them! As for the materials; I don't really think it's necessary to get a bunch of high quality ones. I just use acrylic paints for a lot of things, though I do admit it would be beneficial to invest in Mr. Super Clear sealant because every other sealant I've used causes problems haha. You can find used dolls at thrift stores, or bait dolls on ebay. I really enjoy the ones with articulation, but keep in mind that if you want to paint around the joints, there really isn't anything you can do to prevent paint chipping: it will happen 😂
I always love answering questions though! Feel free to send any more! I'm very passionate about my dolls, I wish I able-bodied enough to make it my full time job, but having it as a hobby is just fine for me tbh!

Welcome To My Blog!
I'm usually not very active on social media, but I work in the film production industry; Instead of just being a resume on the internet, I figured it would be fun to express myself a little bit and share who I am.
About Me!
My name is Dillon, and I love to wear many different hats in life.
Creating is essential for me, like breathing. I grew up in an old amphitheater so I've always felt most at home in the chaos of buzzing film sets, wild parties, creatives, and musicians.
The rush of being on stage, working on a film project, singing, drawing, painting- I live off of the high that I get from it every time.
I've worked in the film/television industry as a Sag-Aftra actress/performer for about 10 years now. I've primarily fallen in love with being in front of the camera as an actress or body double, however, I love being a Stand-In and working in Art Department.
I've been asked by many people what I want to do for a living, but I'm fascinated by very aspect of art and film and want to learn everything about what it takes to create shows. I love acting but I always believe that I we can do whatever we dream of, nobody can predict what lies ahead so I seldom have an answer to such a question.
I have many, many different aspirations and believe strongly that I can and will accomplish each and every goal in one way or another regardless of what people say. Maybe I'll be an actress, director, set builder, speakeasy owner, an artist, or something that I've never even heard of before! I absolutely love what I do, no matter what it is or what direction life takes me and I strive to do whatever that thing may be for the rest of my life!
I also own a (tiny) company that I one day hope to build into a speakeasy that I can call my own. I know it's a big dream to have but I believe with my whole heart that one day I will do it. In the meantime, I've been utilizing my company by building and renting out things for film sets and donating my time and what resources I have to The Hudson Valley National Center for Veteran Reintegration (HVNCVR) and The Ashokan Center
I want this page to be completely safe for anyone, regardless of their religion, political beliefs, mental or physical struggles, race, ethnicity, ect. I try to stay clear of anything toxic and would appreciate it if y'all would too! :)

Nobody really realizes how labor intensive art is, even the "simple" stuff.
My mother is a therapist who works in an office and this past holiday, she wanted a door decoration.
It wasn't until two days before that we were told of this and then, she told me that she wanted me to do it for her.
Putting aside the fact that I am disabled in multiple ways so I need at least a week of wiggle room for planning, getting materials, and everything else, she wanted everything to be 3D.
The pattern that she chose?
Olaf and Sven. From Frozen. Because it was "easy"
3D was "easy"
Where was I supposed to find gigantic sticks that aren't prone to rot in the middle of winter?
One panic attack later we settled on a 2D drawing on poster board.
I spent two entire days on this project that I didn't even want to do but it was just thrown at me because it would be "fun" and I wasn't given an option to say no.
Even when I'd be given compliments about it, it was always about how it looked like it didn't take me any time at all because I was SO talented.
And I don't deny I'm talented!!
But two days of work, bending over this gigantic piece of poster board that I've had to paint, piece together, and find out how it works all without knowing the dimensions of the door it was supposed to go on, where the handle was placed, or literally anything else, it was definitely not my best work!! And it still took over five hours (in it's entirety) to finish!! Without being paid!!
And before anyone gets on me about "being paid"
Those five hours I spent on that thing for my mom that I wasn't even happy with could have been spent on actual commissions!! I get those!! But it seems like everyone forgets that the moment anything artsy comes along because it "seems like something fun you could do"
It is fun.
When I have a choice.
So to all the people that have artist family members, please remember:
-we are not machines. What looks like "easy" work to you is multiple hours of research, collection of materials, and planning. Not to mention actually doing the work you ask of us.
-ASK US!! More than likely, we'll say yes!! But we also have busy schedules and things we need to do just like everyone else. If you have something you need by a certain date, tell us. We'll probably try to work something out with you. Whether it be us doing it for you, giving you somebody else who can do it for you, or giving you an easier way you can do it yourself, we'll almost always try to give you something rather than nothing. Especially if we're family.
-WERE. NOT. MACHINES. Things take time and WORK. While sometimes payment isn't mandatory (depending on who you ask), it IS appreciated!! Especially if it's not a "quick" thing like a simple doodle. A lot of things are harder than you assume. So DON'T ASSUME.
-PLEASE. Please please please PLEASE keep your compliments about quality. Pick out a few things you like, like the color, the shape, or something similar about a piece. We don't want to hear about how "easy" something looks like it was because of how "tAlEnTEd" we are. We know we're talented. It doesn't mean it's easy to be talented.
-Keep your requests reasonable. Nobody's going to be able to finish elaborate pieces within a day or two. And everyone you see that can is almost always getting unseen help. Whether it be other people like interns, or friends and family, or somebody else entirely, nothing of quality is ever made cheaply. We are not machines. We are people trying to make a living. Don't take advantage of us.
-and lastly. Don't always assume that you're the exception. Whether it be from payment, or importance in scheduling, or literally anything else. Way too many times have I felt pressured to say "yes" to something I knew I couldn't do right away just because the person asking was a family member. It's different when your family members are children rather than adults like your parents. Just because your artist family member might say yes to one person but say no to you does NOT mean they hate you. It means they understand that people have different needs. Please be understanding of that.
So many people assume so many things about art of multiple kinds and practices but hardly ever ask because of multiple things. Maybe they feel judged, or trust that the artist knows more, or, like my mom, just assume that we find everything fun. If you don't know, just ask. Asking is often times more important than being right.
