ok i know everyone is sick of hearing me talk about this but i’m not letting it go

i don’t care if you didn’t like graduation. that’s fine. it doesn’t matter whether you liked it or not. it doesn’t matter how good or bad you think it was. what matters is when you project your dislike of a piece of media onto the people creating it. graduation could be the biggest garbage fire in the history of actual play podcasting and this still would be unacceptable.

the amount of comments i’ve seen from people saying that graduation “made them hate travis” becomes total horseshit when you read the reasons why. if graduation made you hate travis, you had issues with travis as a person to begin with and now you’re spouting hate for him under the guise of critique for his campaign.

i’ve seen people trying to psychoanalyse him based on the events of the campaign, and not only is it completely ridiculous to think you know what’s going on in someone’s mind based on an hour of dnd, it’s also insensitive and totally inappropriate and it needs to stop. i’m convinced it’s deep-rooted ableism but even if it isn’t, comments on someone’s mental health issues are not ok because that’s a real person and at the end of the day you don’t know them. and even if you did know them personally, it’s NEVER appropriate to ‘theorise’ on someone’s issues or use them to insult them.

travis probably isn’t going to see any of those comments, but people who experience the same conditions as he does absolutely will and now know that we are not safe in this community with you.
