"oh the loki in the series isn't the same as the one in infinity war because he got several movies-worth of character development scrapped. the tva version is all the way back from avengers 1, that's why."
ok but have you considered that maybe that doesn't even make sense for avengers 1 loki.?

ORIGIN STORY TIME!!
Thanks to the recent hype, I'm being reabsorbed into the Blue Lock franchise/fandom. My sleep schedule has shifted back from 12:00AM to 3:00AM. I've been high off of endorphins reading the official paperbacks, and now hangovers are whooping my gluteus maximus. ;-;
Anyway, it all starts with my love for ma boi, Nagi. I read this series back in 2020 or 2021, and to this day, one of my favorite scenes is the one where he scores the first goal at the U-20 match. So, naturally, I wanted to set my new phone wallpaper as that!
30 minutes of Googling, Binging, and Pinteresting... nothing.
How?
IDK.
With no satisfactory wallpaper, I looked at my drawing tablet and thought, Well, fak it. Imma do it myself. *inserts Thanos meme*
And that's how the nightmare started. :D
I find my references, and BAM. Sketch done. Pretty EZ cuz I had a solid vision in mind already.
A quick greyscale filling and dramatic eye color.... and I was done!
But on hon hon! YOU FOOL!
Curled like a shrimp, I stared at my new lockscreen. (Maybe this is a lesson for me to never stare at my art for more than 5 minutes.) Strangely, I felt a churn of dissatisfaction (or midnight hunger).
Maybe I should add some more saturation.
Maybe I should try...
Adding the background?
And so, after two days of trying to draw grass and people instead of seeing their 3D counterparts (JK, I still had to go to work and utilize my vernacular amongst those fleshy beings)... I finally finished.
OK. Maybe not finished finished...
Who am I kidding? Give me another three minutes to stare at my new lock screen and I'll probably start learning Blender to 3D animate my wallpaper or background or smth.
Anyway, thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. UwU
*Yoinks you into a chokehold*
Who's your favorite Blue Lock character(s)? :D

okay time to try and make a coherent jesterpost. let's break this down. here is a list of ideas that *can* apply to jesters that can also, on some possibly-non-literal level, fit loki too:
a liar and a storyteller
a speaker of the truth whose truth is rarely welcome; a prophet disbelieved or a shot messenger
one who speaks in riddles
a magician; a player of tricks
a player of tricks; a traitor
a madman or a fool
a wearer of costumes, disguises and masks
one who is always performing, who must perform to stay alive
one who mimics and reflects the powerful back to them
one who acts and emotes outside the bounds of propriety
one who engages in gender/sexual deviance, just within the bounds of plausible deniability and/or convenience to the powerful
an outsider at the centre of society: both elevated and lowly
the lowly among the powerful, the coward among the brave
a servant, defined by their master
a “favourite”; tenuous, dependent power that is seen as undeserved and attracts distrust and persecution
one who mocks those no-one else can, but may have that privilege revoked at any moment
one who can be mocked or abused without consequence (a sacrifice)
one who mocks, endangers, or injures themself in order to gain or keep the approval of the powerful (a priest, and a sacrifice)
a scapegoat: punished and/or blamed for the crimes of the powerful or the collective (a sacrifice)
one who says or does the dishonourable thing so the powerful do not need to (a sacrifice)
a politician or advisor who pretends to be powerless
one whom no-one can imagine having power
one who plays at power, but always surrenders in the end
one who hears secrets and has the ear of the king
one blessed or cursed with secret knowledge (the magician, the prophet, the holy fool)

New rule!
Whenever I get asked about when I'll be updating a story, the publication of that chapter will be put back a day!
Not a day after the asking. A day after I finished writing. So if I get one today but I finish the next chapter a week from now, the chapter will post a day after I finished writing it.
If the ask is rude, that timeline is now +1 week.
This effect will stack.
SO! If someone asks "Hey, when will X get a new chapter?" and someone else also asks "Bitch, stop being a lazy twat and write more X thanks" before the next chapter has been dropped, the added time is now one (1) week and one (1) day!
The difference from before is now I'm deliberately shelving a chapter instead of just not having it written yet for one reason or another. Usually exhaustion, indecision, or tackling other tasks. Sometimes burnout.
Asking if I dropped a story is not like asking about when I'll be updating next, so no worries if a story has gone cold and you're wondering if you should keep an eye out for it but don't want to accidentally push it back further. Sometimes I lose interest and assume no one else cares either so I'm in no rush to return to the story in question.
Under normal circumstances I quite literally post as soon as I finish writing the chapter (which is why there are usually minor typos). My work is (typically, unless literally commissioned) free and done in my spare time. What few hours I have left in a day after work, in fact. I don't want to hear any whining about not posting daily or on a set schedule for something that is my damn hobby.
Particularly not from people who otherwise don't interact with the work they seem so desperate to read the next chapter for.
This is my alternative to straight up dropping fics (which I REALLY don't want to do once I've committed, I nearly cried the last time I finally acknowledged to myself I'll never update a fic and do it justice to my original idea) or blocking people.
This is something I've been reluctantly considering for months now privately as the topic has been stressing me out when I could be having fun crafting new ideas and chapters. And instead I just dread posting a new chapter and getting X amount of asks demanding a new chapter without even a spare comment about what they liked that's got them so damn hyped.
So...
Die.
Mad about it.

i hate the commercialisation of the avengers inside the mcu both bc i find it cringy and meta but also bc it narratively doesn’t make sense.
we spent ten years establishing that the avengers are a contentious presence, civil war was literally about people not trusting them bc of what/who they are and now it’s almost completely erased and everyone loves them now? and don’t even get me started on rogers the musical
the way clint reacts makes it seem like the writers are trying to say it’s in poor taste but it’s less bc it trivialises a literal alien invasion but bc clint misses natasha and it hurts him to see an interpretation of her. not bc people are singing and dancing about an event that got hundreds if not thousands of people killed. the closest american equivalent i can think of is 9/11. people can’t even joke about it without being torn apart and it happened over 20 years ago. the battle of new york happened 10 years ago in the current mcu, the snap happened maybe a year ago, you’re telling me everyone’s chill with a musical about one of the worst days of their lives?
“i can do this all day” being their tagline encapsulates everything i dislike about it. the only people steve said that to were nazis that were immediately killed, tony who would never talk about what happened in siberia and the 2012 version of steve says it to him. no one else would know that phrase and acting like it’s something he crowed from the rooftops is at best a plot hole and at worse, an indictment of how little care the writers are having for the new era of the mcu
#other than the odd thanos was right graffiti the public loves the avengers now#and that spits in the face of over 10 years of established development and world building#even scott writing a book and becoming a celebrity doesnt make sense with his character considering all he wanted was to be a good father#now he wants to be famous and get attention?#to the point of disregarding his daughter? the entire point of his character?#and tony and hulk and presumably the rest of them getting ice cream named after them after civil war? everyone hated you three minutes ago#i already hated professor hulk for killing the hulk then acting like they didnt but him signing things and dabbing during the blip?#why was he being treated like a celebrity?#he and the avengers failed and half the universe died as a result why would people like him after that?#the avengers bringing everyone back shouldve created an ‘it was the least you could do considering you failed the first time’ energy#it should be grudging gratitude not this worship thats happening#which makes the flag smashers even weaker when theyre the only ones not sucking up the avengers ass#of course they hate the new world order theyre villains not getting what they want duh#instead of it being a valid expression#everyone in the world is way too happy and chill with everything when Half Of Everything Was Dead a year ago#it just doesnt follow the careful realistic world building set up over the entire mcu#coming out of my cage and ive been doing just fine.txt#marvelous#talk meta to me#marvel#the avengers#the snap#meta#captain america#rogers the musical#endgame#mcu#phase 4#phase four

Plotlines that need to die already:
Abusers getting a redemption arc & abuse victims forgiving their abusers.
(i will not be taking any arguments, questions, or hate for my examples below)
(please note that this in no way diminishes how much i like some of these fandoms bc it’s not always a deal breaker for me, i’m just throwing out examples to show how prevalent these plotlines are)
Both of the Matilda movies did this at the end, the musical was more explicit with it, but both gave one of the parents a little redemption squeeze at the end.
In Supernatural, you will not be able to convince me that John Winchester was not abusive to Dean and, to a lesser extent, Sam.
Batman/Bruce Wayne to many of his children, but Dick and Jason in particular, depending on which issue you’re reading.
The Joker, particularly in relation to Harley Quinn. He’s not her love interest, he’s her origin story.
If we’re taking the Jedi Apprentice novels as canon, Qui-Gon Jinn was abusive to Obi-Wan at least two times. The man needed therapy, not the responsibility of a minor.
Shang-Chi’s father was one of the best MCU villains thus far excluding Killmonger, but his tiny redemption arc at the end didn’t negate the years of abuse to both of his children.
Speaking of the MCU, it still baffles me how much time was spent on trying to make Thanos a sympathetic character when he was a warmongering genocidal abuser who stole the plotline from star trek who literally tore Nebula apart over the years and murdered Gamora.
Rogue in X-Men, in particular to when she left Gambit to die in the arctic bc she saw that he was complicit in the Morlock Massacre. (this one hurts bc they were my otp before i even knew what an otp was)
Petunia & Vernon Dursley in Harry Potter and Albus Dumbledore to a lesser extent for leaving Harry in that situation.
Claudette in 9-1-1 in her completely unprofessional behavior towards May. Giving the bully a traumatic backstory does not mean they should be forgiven, it just means they should probably be in therapy.
Also in 9-1-1, Chimney punching Buck and facing zero consequences w/ a dead-ass off-screen apology.
Gibbs constantly head-slapping people in NCIS is a call for workplace harassment.
In The Originals, I don’t even remember his name, but the guy that was obviously the main character was such a clearly abusive asshole to both his siblings and his baby mama that I couldn’t even get past the third episode.
The Twilight Saga, just all of it, movies and books.
Danny’s parents in Danny Phantom. The older you get, the more you realize how negligent his parents were.
Reblog w/ your own example!

Came across a bad take from super-hero-confessions defending Thanos and claiming Loki is "literally Hitler" on the loki tag and now I am slightly pissed off...
Loki-haters, stop calling a queer comic book character a Nazi. It's disrespectful and reductive to compare a comic book villain's half-assed alien invasion to a real life genocidal dictator's methodical torture and murder of Jews, Romani, disabled, and queer people. You're all fucking annoying and you are all acting like your families died in the Chitauri attack in NYC (That Thanos wanted Loki to do, and is implied to at the very least coerced him) or Jotunheim.
Thanos kidnapped and tortured children. Stop acting like he's noble and had no choice.

I hate when people use Steve’s speech about moving on at the beginning of the movie as “proof that he’s a hypocrite” because literally in the SAME MOVIE, he himself goes “but not us”.
